Water ran out of washer and flooded my garage. 1) Replace computer. 2) Wrong computer. 3) Water still flooding garage. 4) May need water valve. 5) Showed up didnt know what to do, then left. 6) Whole new tub - 3 hour repair - 2 weeks until they have time to repair. Still waiting. HELP.

Purchased an Admiral Washer on 07/19/2010 from Home Depot in May of 2011 was washing clothes and washer flooded my wash room. Cold water would not turn off. Had to use shutoff valve on wall. Called for service through Maytags toll free number it took me 10 days to get through, then I was told that they did not have anyone in my area that could fix my washer that was still under warranty and there was nothing they could do. I called Home Depot and they said there was nothing they could do it was the manufactor problem.I Called several appliance repair places that advertise as maytag repair and they would not touch it!Called back in July of 2011 could not reach anyone at maytag service. My warranty expired 07/19/2011,yesterday 08/08/2011 I recieved a letter from Maytag wanting me to buy an extended warranty.I called an ask them why I should buy an extended warranty when they wouldnt even honor the original warranty they pulled up the records where I had called for service and told me I should have kept calling back that they take care of their customers etc. etc. but there was nothing they could do now because the washer was out of warranty.I called about a new water valve for this washer $56 for part $100 for labor including service call. Now I faced with a decision try to repair this piece of junk or scrap it a buy a new washer( not a Maytag or a Whirlpool) I am not rich I am elderly and live on a fixed income, it took me 6 months to pay off this washer at Home Depot!!!!!

We purchased our Maytag Elite dryer almost a year ago. Began to have problems with it several weeks ago. We first tried to correct the problem through the store where we purchased it. After three failed service repair visits the technician recommended we call Maytag directly. We did. Another service appointment was set up. The repair guy determined there was nothing wrong with our dryer (?? It wasnt drying on one of the heat settings!!) but said he would come back and replace the front sensors anyway. After he left I called Maytag again. Explained why I was frustrated. I was told that since the repair guy said nothing was wrong with the dryer there was nothing further they could do for me. Further attempts at repair had to be at my expense. I was incredulous to say the least. The dryer doesnt function properly on the normal heat setting, but because the repair guy cant find the cause I am therefore just out of luck?I will never, ever purchase another Maytag product. I am shocked that they will not stand behind a product that is still under warranty. After only 11 months of use I am stuck with a dryer that will only dry on high heat?! How can a single service visit by their repair guy (whom is on their payroll) be the final say? No second opinion? Is he infallible? Simply unbelievable.

This set is a GREAT ONE! I love my HQ washer and dryer. The washer has so many settings to choose from for all different loads of clothes. It washes and spins everything great. My dryer is so nice! I can dry a load of whites: towels, washcloths, hand towels etc in record amount of time. I would highly recommend them both.

Bravos quiet series 300 - After reading reviews on this washer and dryer I have to add my thoughts. I bought this set a few years ago and initially was very pleased. However, I am now having the same issues as everyone else. The bearing on my washer is bad and needs replacing to the cost of almost a new washer. My dryer started acting up at the same time, my clothes would not dry at all and I discovered the inside of the door was wet and after pulling out to check the wall vent, the vent had water puddled up inside the wall. The tubing from the dryer to the wall had mildew growing in it. Which may explain why my towels and clothes come out of the dryer smelling like mildew! The repairman was here today and repaired the dryer, there was a large amount of lint at the bottom of the dryer once he opened it up, which I believe could be a fire hazard. The seal (or felt seal) around the drum was coming off and had to glued back onto the drum. The belt under the dryer had come undone causing the dryer to not dry, but would spin. It is a shame that Maytag has not resolved the issues that everyone seems to be having, even if it has been years since we all purchased their product. Maytag is supposed to be a reliable product name and you would think they would like to fix this issue to keep their name clean! My first washer and dryer (which were Maytag) lasted more than 12 years and cost a lot less than this set which I dont think is more than 5 years old! I hate to spend more money on a new machine, but I may have no choice. Very sad customer right now.

Under no circumstances should anyone buy an MMV4205DE or maybe any Maytag microwave. These units contain defective door switches and will fail within a year rendering the unit useless. The engineer that got the bright idea to protect us from starting the microwave without opening and closing the door along with the engineer that designed the defective switch scheme should be fired immediately.I purchased the unit March 2016 to replace a 10-year-old Maytag that had a failed magnetron, no problems ever with the door switches! This unit started to act up in Dec 2016 with the fatal open/close door problem, I am an EE so I opened the unit and checked the switches and found they were defective, replaced both for $80 and 6 months later the problem is back. I am buying another brand as I dont have time to deal with the problems with this unit. I now have the old white 15-year-old unit that I replaced years ago sitting on the counter to use while another unit is on order. Unit is heading for the landfill next month. Never buy a Maytag microwave, they all have the same problems!!!

We bought our Maytag washer and dryer a bit over 5 years ago. Now the UL warning comes on. Found out it will be over $400 to fix it. It only cost $500 new. Repairman says it is very common and not to pay him to fix it. Our GE went 20 years. Lesson learned, wife is out looking at new GE.

We have had our washing machine for about 6 months, we got the F3 E6 error code. After doing some research, we found out that the control module was what we needed to replace. My husband and I called both Maytag and Lowe’s, (the store we purchased the washer from). We have been given the runaround. After talking with several managers in the Lowe’s warranty department, we were told that we had to contact Maytag directly about that particular problem. Okay, no big deal. We called and every single time we were put on hold for at least 30 minutes before we were hung up on. Not once did we even get to speak to a person. If we don’t get a response and our problem doesn’t get fixed, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau.

This washer has been the biggest disappointment of any appliance I have ever bought. Purchased 12/2012 and immediately disliked it but thought I needed to get used to the new style since my previous machine operated for 23 yrs! It is loud and does not clean as effectively as my last machine. It stays in the Sensing mode for 15 mins or longer. Rarely will it spin as it should. Most loads, after the sensing stops and the lights go out, I have to move the dial to Drain/Spin, wait for it to sense again and then maybe it will spin. If this doesnt work I have to unplug the machine to allow it to reset. I called Maytag and was told there are no known issues with the machine. I google this model and find many customers have had a similar problem.

Maytag Dishwasher, mdb7749sam1 - I got this dishwasher new in Feb. 2013 for my new house. I thought that Maytag was supposed to be a very good appliance company. (I just found out that Whirlpool bought them! I dont like their dishwashers, either! Ive had 3 whirlpools that only lasted about 2-4 years each.) My dishwasher worked great until the control panel buttons started blinking and going crazy! Then, it just stopped working altogether. I called Maytag about this part, and found out that it is only covered the first year, and the so-called 10-year warranty doesnt cover it. What good is the extended 10-year warranty if it doesnt cover all the parts!? I researched this dishwasher before I bought it. It got fairly good reviews at the time. Now when I look it up, it gets these terrible reviews! I am so disappointed with this situation. I have other Maytag appliances that have performed great. Im not sure why their dishwashers cant be made the same way.I am going to order the part and repair the machine. I hope this will fix the problem. I had hoped that the Maytag brand would live up to their hype, and be better than the Whirlpools I had already had such bad experiences with. The Whirlpools had great features, they just didnt last! This dishwasher, too, has great features. Two years isnt a long enough run for it to be a good choice, though. Really disappointed :(

I bought a Maytag dishwasher to match other appliances in kitchen. Work great, not loud and gets dishes clean. Have owned it for 10 years and have one problem with the door latch. But it was easy and inexpensive to replace.

I have had my washer and my dryer (model no. MGDB850WQ - serial no. MJ3311087), for 1 and 1/2 years. I have given both plenty of time and since the beginning, I have literally hated these products. This was a large purchase, so I feel locked into a terrible choice. I wish I had never bought these two items and will never use Maytag again. I will also never recommend these products to anyone. I do not like the new technology.

I have had this dishwasher for 3 1/2 years. Replaced the touchpad 2 years ago and now the touchpad is dead. I read all the other comments that are similar to mine and am thinking to replace this junk dishwasher. I will not be buying from Home Depot as they are selling cheap products that are defective!

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer at Lowe's when I bought my home-the price was great and I have not been disappointed in them-have had them over 3 years now. My washer has a stainless steel tup and is a top loader. The combo of the two was less than $1,000. The washing machine has deep clean, heavy load or light load, hot, warm or cool water settings, a hand wash setting and many other features that I think most consumers can appreciate.

Washer purchased in May 2013 last month it stopped completing the drain and spin cycle and cloth stayed wet. To have the machine repaired, we would have to replace the control panel. The cost of replacing the control panel plus the service call was 76% of the cost of buying a brand new machine. As such we are disposing of the machine and will be purchasing a competitive product.

Oven worked ok for a year and went under right day after warranty expired. I called factory-approved repair people in Brooklyn but was told repair would cost more than buy new oven. I contacted factory but got no help either.

One month after warranty we had our first issue which cost us $380. Kinda my fault I was told by repair guy... My bra underwire came out during wash and destroyed the part we had to replace. Then a year later during spin cycle it sounds like an airplane taking off for about 10 minutes. Its so loud we cant even hear our TV! So guessing its bearings gone bad now? Which is a very difficult part to replace. And pricey. So guessing a new washer is in our future. We previously owned a Maytag washer and had it for 15 years and it still worked fine, we just wanted to upgrade. Big mistake! I wouldnt wish this washer on my enemies. I think the repair guys sets it to mess up when they do this reset thingy. Lol. Cause within a month of the renewed warranty we purchased was expired is when the 2nd issue began. I think the older washer are better because all this newer technology stuff is crap!! My advice do not buy Maytag Bravos series washer unless youve got lots of cash for repairs!!

I purchased my Bravos (ecoconserve) washing machine in 8/2013 from hhgreg. The problem I have is this grinding noise with the spin cycle. So I unplug the machine because the lock lid light is flashing and wont unlock unless I unplug the machine. I grew up on Maytag so that was the reason I purchased this machine but never again. I am so disappointed in this product. :(

Does not clean laundry, leaves dry untouched spots, all my clothes look unwashed & the rinse is terrible, leaves dirt on clothes due to little water in cycle. Im a senior on fixed income. I cant buy another machine.. I called Maytag within a couple of weeks of using washer. They told me We have No guarantee for Customer Satisfaction. This is a complete scam on their part. If I could of afforded a Lawyer I would of taken them to court. They knew what they were selling & somehow got away with it. Give the people what they pay for, not the Bravos piece of Junk. Can only wash on 1 cycle to get wet wash. But paid for other useless cycles. Who made this machine & who allowed it to pass to the unfortunate Consumers. If anyone can help getting Payback from Maytag, Please let us know... Better business Bureau should get after them.

I have a French door fridge Maytag like everyone else. The bottom freezes over and I have to de-ice it. Now the freezer doesnt want to cool. Its 3 years old. Total piece of junk.

Bought this as W/D set brand new from Home Depot. Had been noticing incredible wear and tear on clothes, as things get so tangled up and need to be practically ripped apart before going into dryer. Cycle times are crazy long, up to over an hour in some cases. Doesn’t have a “Speed Wash” cycle. But WORST of all, after less than 3 years, it just stopped draining properly. Tried all the Codes test, etc. Finally called a repairman just to be told repair costs would probably cost more than the machine is worth. $125 to be told we ought to just buy a new washer. Not happy.

I bought my Maytag Model LA608 washer in 1976. It has very few electronics and a mechanical timer. It has been used every week since then for 2 or 3 people. It has had 3 problems in its lifetime. I replaced the 2 valves that control the hot and cold water entering the machine. I replaced a small plastic sprayer part. And last year I replaced 3 clamps that rusted and started to leak. Thats it in 40 years. I was able to open up the front and back covers to get at the parts quite easily.It is a simple machine with almost no electronics to stop working. Nothing bothers me about the machine. Its simple and wonderful. When it finally breaks, I will try and find a good sized machine that washes permanent press and regular clothes, has a controller to select hot/cold/warm water temperatures, has a regular and gentle cycle, and has 3 load levels for the water to be used. I will try to find one that is good quality with few electronic parts. I will not buy a high efficiency model that uses less water as I am on a well and water shortage is not a problem where I live. I will not buy a front loading model.I would not buy a machine that has options that I do not need. I would hope to find a quality machine similar to what I have now. I would read as many ratings about the various models before making a selection and then I would cross my fingers and hope for the best. If it is possible, try and find a good quality machine that will be dependable over time. Buy a basic machine with only the options that you really need. There will be fewer parts to stop working.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washing machine item # 26 23872 for $617.69 on 11-23-11 and it was delivered and set up on 12-02-11. My problem is if you have dirty sweaty clothes, you cannot get them clean with such little water. I used the HE detergent as directed. I talked to a woman at the local Sears Appliance store this morning, 7-11-12, about it. She said I need to use Affresh. So I did clean my washer but with a similar brand and my clothes are still stinky. I have even washed an empty load or two with bleach and hot water. I make sure I wash with hot water and completely dry my clothes.When you take a bath and dry yourself off with a towel, it smells like a musty basement. I am allergic to mold. I cant even take a wash cloth, get it wet and wash my face without wanting to throw up from the smell. I have had guest comment on the towels as well. Its embarrassing. The problem is you cannot clean something with an inch of water in the machine. I am 58 years old and now have to do the wash. I went to the store and asked if we could return it for an exchange or anything like a discount on a new one and she would not budge. She said it had to be within 90 days but 90 days was in the middle of winter and I was not having dirty sweaty clothes from doing outdoor yard work.Now that summer is here, 7 months later, my clothes have been smelly for a few months. I cant take it anymore. I showed the woman that I had been to Lowes and had an estimate of 10% off with free delivery, set up and haul away. She said she could do 15% but when you add on the delivery fee, it was higher than Lowes. I purchased my whole upgraded kitchen stainless steel appliances for about $7,000 and this set of washer/dryer but Sears could not help me out? What a disappointment that a loyal customer such as me could not at least get free delivery on a new washer. I went right back to Lowes and ordered the same machine I wanted Sears to sell me matching Lowes price.So now, I am stuck with a 7- to 8-month-old machine still in the one year warranty that is like new but is a worthless piece of junk as my clothes all stink. I had a brand new Maytag refrigerator freezer delivered to my home. Not three days later, the freezer compartment is frosting over on the back wall, while the refrigerator fails to keep my drinks cooler cold like I demand. Ive heard of planned obsolescence, but this is ridiculous!

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in February 2012, $700. After a few months, the buttons stopped working and the machine was unresponsive. I called Home Depot and they fixed it under the warranty. This continued to happen every 2-3 months. After a year of dealing with this, the warranty expired and I had to purchase the manufacturer extended warranty with Maytag, $240 for 5-years of coverage. The problem continued, and every few months, the thing would stop working and I would have to call for service - 2 to 4 weeks without a dishwasher waiting for service appointment then parts and another appointment for the repair.Perhaps my machine was just a lemon. I dont think they make that model anymore. Heres the number so that you can avoid a three year headache of a machine, MD87749 AWM2. I will say that after MANY agonizing phone calls with warranty company, after 2 years of ongoing service calls, they eventually issued me a check to replace my lemon.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher (Model #MDBH979SAM0) three years ago. Four weeks ago the control panel wouldnt work correctly. No matter what cycle I attempted to select, other cycle buttons lit up. The start button did not light and the cancel button would not turn off. I called a repair guy, he came out and said Maytag was having a lot of problems with the control panels. He reset the machine and finally got it working again. He said he wasnt able to get a new control panel from Maytag due to demand/delay in manufacturing. Today the control panel went out again. Based on all the other reviews Im not sure its feasible to put more money in this machine. Ill research other dishwashers and get one that has a better performance record. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG.

We purchased all new Maytag appliances when we built our house. So far, the stove/oven has quit working and been repaired 3 times; its always the ignitor. The dishwasher has been fixed twice. The washer no longer spins out as it should. The refrigerator and dryer so far have run okay. I am definitely going to change brands with my new appliances. I will not purchase Maytag again. Its not what it used to be. I will do without oven this time, until I can buy a new one. Also, the dishwasher door has had problems from day 1, and now, it will not close at all. It seems like its off the hinge. Definitely, its not the Maytag of years ago.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer pair in 2009. Over those 5 years I have had at least 8 shirts come out of the washer with tears in the armpits. First I thought it was my armpits destroying the cloth. Then I thought it was cheap cotton (all my shirts are 100% cotton) from foreign manufacturers. Ive had two shirts destroyed this week, this mornings was really thick material. Usually when I remove clothes from the washer, they are entwined and twisted. Consistently when I wash any load including a towel or two, the washer becomes unbalanced. My clothes often have a foul odor after washing. My theory is that the lack of a center agitating spindle is allowing the clothes to tangle, and not really cleaning them. I have to use the extra rinse setting or the clothes come out covered with soap suds. In summary, Im not happy with this washer and will never buy another Maytag appliance. Im also not sure the high-efficiency technology has had all the kinks ironed out.

I purchased my Bravo (MVWB300WQ2) washer a little over two years ago. It took all day to wash some loads due to leveling problems. Example, you could not put more than two bath towels in at a time, even with the towel setting. The washer would stop and you have to re-position the towels. You cannot leave because it stopped so often. Also, the washer makes an extremely loud noise during the spin cycle. My most recent problem, it does not complete the spin cycle. My clothes are still very wet. I refuse to call service. Its just too costly. It would be the third time in less than 3 years. However, the first time was within the year warranty (no charge). The basket had to be replaced - it was ripping my clothes. During my second service call, the technician advised me in purchasing an extended warranty. I paid for the service call and for a one-year extended warranty which just recently ended. The washing machine is not worth paying for service again. I am going to purchase a new machine instead!

Havent even used the range yet and the paint is peeling off of the top. I have had the repair guy out. The new top piece of the range arrived with peeling paint also. I put in a claim to have the range replaced and was told they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. That never happened and so I called again. They said that they would call and, of course, it didnt happen. I paid $1,300 for a stove that looks horrible with the paint is peeling off of it. What kind of ** is Sears selling? Maytag is owned by Whirlpool and nobody wants to make this right.

Our Maytag dishwasher was just past the 1-year mark when the control panel stopped working. A certified Maytag repair service came out to diagnose just that and charged us $89. Maytag sent the user interface out to us, and my husband noted that there was absolutely no way that the part could be installed wrong. The wires could only go one way. The repair service (DSM Appliance Service) wanted another $120 to install it. We installed it, and it still doesnt work. Maytag will no longer assist us in any way. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. After investigating, I see that this control panel issue has happened many, many times; and I wonder why there hasnt been something done about it.

I purchased my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer 5 years ago. About 2 months ago, my washer started making a lot of noise in the final spin cycle. Well, after I called my repair man (who I purchased the set from), they said that a back bearing is faulty. They suggested calling Maytag because the cost of the repair is $500. I called Maytag and was told that due to the age of my washer, there was nothing they could or would do for me. This is very poor customer service and very poor quality as far as I am concerned. I can hardly afford to get it fixed, but I also cannot be without a washer. Im sorry I have several other appliances that are Maytag in my home.

My dishwasher is less than 2 years old. Dishwasher will go on when we are not in the house. Cant control the panel. The control panel lights all come, have to cancel to stop the machine. This could be a fire hazard.

Never waste your money and buy Maytag washer. Mine is XL large tub and has extra wash for extra clean. Dont waste your money. Never fills up with enough water. Almost everytime I wash I have to rewash the load because the clothes are still dirty, have soap spots and most of the time the clothes didnt even get wet. Horrible Horrible washer!!! My water bill has gone up a lot because I have to rewash the load so thats twice... I cant even use the XL tub because it wont fill up with water. Horrible product. Cant believe Maytag is still in business. They dont stand behind product. Called. Complained. They gave me nothing except for some free pods to clean a washer thats only 6 months old. Ive tried every cycle to see which one will wash the best. Still Horrible Horrible. Doesnt get anything cleaned. Here I thought nothing could get worse than a front loader? So sad, purchased brand new Maytag washer and dryer, Commercial technology (MVWB766FW) labels. Looked and appeared impressive. Machines cost almost $1,000 each. Had twenty year old machines that still worked, I didn’t want to face a unexpected breakdown and decided to replace. What a mistake. I’m 67 and all my life from grandma through my mother Maytag was the best, not anymore. Once my equipment was installed I washed a load checking frequently, noticed almost no water in the huge tub and my clothes being beat by the agitator but not enough water to move the clothes. I tried to change to high water setting but had to cancel this load to do so. Once on high water setting I started the load again, water still very low and agitator just rubbing the clothes directly next to it, no movement of the clothes at all. Ran completely through the wash cycle but when moving to the dryer noticed some light blue shorts had dry spots, many, which had never been wet even through the wash, rinse, and spin cycles. Had a warranty service call and was told this is how the machines work. I told the serviceman had I known that I would have never bought the machines. He told me the salesman should have explained this to me which he did not. The only way I can wash my clothes in the new, expensive machine is on bedding cycle with high water setting on. Sad day when American companies can legally sell such crap. Also, called the company where I purchased and ask about return. To that I was told once I made the purchase they were mine and Reid’s Appliance in Santa Barbara didn’t take returns. Reid’s Appliance can’t be trusted. Buyer Beware, this stuff is junk. I will be throwing these machines out soon as they aren’t even sale-able on the used market. MAYTAG RIPPED ME OFF.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. It takes almost a whole day to wash 1 load of clothes. The clothes dont get clean! The spin cycle wont let you spin. It runs your electric bill up! This is not a energy saver! I am so angry and disappointed! I thought Maytag was Supposed to be the best. Yall failed me. I wish I could get my money back!

Maytag Centennial 3.4 top-loader was purchased at Home Depot. It has never worked yet. On 4/28/12, the third weekend, I sat home for the servicemen to fix this junk machine. The first two times, the machine didn’t work ten minutes after they left and today they went to the wrong address. I have much more important things to do than to sit around and wait for someone to figure out what is wrong with this machine. It would have been cheaper for me to junk this brand new machine and buy a washer from a company that makes washers that work!

Would need 3rd panel for 8-year dishwasher - Either no lights come on the panel or Load done lights, like now. It has happened so many times over the years from about a year after spending a lot of money on a Quality unit. Many times I was able to operate it after turning the breaker off/on or leaving it to sit for a week or so, multiple times! Also, the rubber on the racks did not do so great - peeled and rusty. I did apply rubber repair multiple times, then got new racks at my expense. Several other brands bought over the years lasted 10+ years with no repairs!

We purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. The thermostat control (a circuit board made in China) broke and was replaced in 2012 by a certified repair person. He reminded me to dust underneath regularly, which Ive done. A couple of weeks ago I noticed some darkening of my wood floor to the left of the refrigerator and so I pulled it out from the wall a bit. What I saw was that my entire floor was wet and falling apart under the left side and when I looked into the freezer, I pulled out the bottom basket and the bottom was covered in about an inch of ice.I called, posted on Facebook and was put on hold several times for as long as 20 minutes before I hung up. I called Home Depot and asked them to intervene and speak to a rep from Maytag. I have heard nothing. There is black mold in the corner of my kitchen and a soaked floor that may go way beyond. I googled the leak and apparently this is very common with Maytag French Door refrigerators. I have a meeting with an attorney. Getting through to Maytag is seemingly impossible unless you have hours to wait on the phone. We have been getting sick for months and not knowing the cause.

My name is Mrs ** and I dont have a complaint. I would to tell you about our washer. It is a Maytag. It use to be my mother-in-laws. She did laundry in it for 4 grown boys and 1 girl plus her and her husband. She passed along to my husband a long time ago. And now it does laundry for 6 kids plus my husband and me. I run it 2 days a week sometimes more. The washer is between 25 and 30 years old. And works good still. Im not sure how much longer it has but we are happy with it. And soon Ill be washing for 7 kids. We have made a decision to start looking for another soon. But I wanted to share my story with you. My husband is now in his 40s if it says how long it has lasted. It sounds like an old threshing machine... I have to close the laundry door it is so loud. People cant believe its a new machine. So saving water is the big deal we hear so much about...but water is the main cleaning agent and it hardly covers the clothes even on a full load coverage. Do not use bleach in the machine unless the load contains ONLY WHITES. It just destroyed a new pink top as it spurts out the bleach without any controls. It does not get whites or clothes clean and just twists the clothes to the point everything you wear has to be ironed. There is not one good thing I can say about this pair of appliances except BUYER BEWARE~ I wish I had read the reviews... Buy the old...tried and true.

Maytag Neptune Washer Drum Bearings have once again failed. Last time, I replace the whole drum via diy, cost was about $160 for the part. Now I see that outer drum is $500 +/-. I just may only replace the Seals & Bearings this time OR just part this thing out and buy a real machine without the Maytag name.

I bought a Maytag laundry set (washer and dryer, models MVWC565FW and MEDC555DW, respectively), and I concur with the fact that this is the WORST laundry set I have ever owned. The clothes came out of the washer extremely dry and did not come out as clean as expected. In addition, clothes came out with strange spots, especially the dark ones. Now, we wash our dark clothes with fear of damage them. The dryer is also pathetic. I put in a normal load on high for 60 minutes, and theyre still very damp. Sometimes I have to repeat the cycle 2 or 3 times. When I compare it with my old laundry set, this is extremely disappointing. And to make things worse, the customer service department doesnt answer you. I sent them a mail, on February 2018, and a month and a half later, I havent heard back from them.

We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

Because the design is bad, the refrigerator has to be defrosted once a month. A home filled with Maytag appliances, these are all 4 years old and ready for the trash. Dont buy Maytag, it is crap. They sell for money, not workability. The name has been trashed by Whirlpool. I am a builder and they will not ever see me recommend them, not even to a neighbor I dont like.

I purchased the Bravos XL washer and dryer from Lowes in March of 2011. I had only had my dryer for a couple of months when it stopped drying out of nowhere. The repair man came and replaced the fuse assembly and all was well until December 2011. Again the same problem happened. I had to wait almost 10 days for someone to repair it. Once again in January 2012 for the second time the fuse assembly was replaced. Its now December 2014 and again my dryer has stopped working. Have to wait again 10 days for anyone to come and fix this. I will never buy another Maytag dryer again.

Both my washer and dryer are Maytag. Dryer element shorted out but was still under warranty so was fixed. Washer is very loud and now makes a rattling sound. Every so often it will hang in the middle of a cycle and the lid wont open until I unplug it.

We bought this Maytag Bravos 300 Quiet series top loading washer 3 years ago. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer. I absolutely HATE this Maytag Washer. DO NOT buy it. I would rate it less than one star however they did not offer a 1/2 star. If there is class action lawsuit please include me.

We had a Whirlpool dishwasher for 24 years, and when it was time to purchase a new one, I did a lot of research before choosing our Maytag. Reviews by other consumers who had purchased dishwashers was very helpful in making our decision, and we have had no problems in the almost 18 months that we have had this dishwasher. It is very quiet. It washes and dries the dishes with no streaks, although I wash off the dishes before loading them. It provides 5 cycles and 4 options and lights blink, when the washing and drying cycles are complete. I would recommend the Maytag, Model #MDB4949SHBO wholeheartedly.

On April 8, 2017 I was sitting in my Dining room with Dishwasher in the kitchen in cycle cleaning. All of a sudden I heard electrical sizzling and turned to see my Dishwasher was on fire. I got up and opened the door and my Husband shut off the circuit breaker for the Dishwasher. He raced to turn off water under sink and went to disconnect the dishwasher when all of a sudden hot water was shooting all over the place. I tried to catch in a bucket but it was so hot and shooting out hose fast. Kitchen and Dining room were then filled with water. He realized the turnoff under sink was installed at time of house built and cant be fixed without a lot of chopping up under cement.Well finally we cleaned up the mess with mop and towels and relieved neither one of us fell at our age. He unconnected the Dishwasher and secured outside. About 2010 there was a recall on this model Maytag. I reported it and a repair man came to change the cycle panel and said it would be fine, not. Yes almost 7 years later a fire occurred. Just glad we caught it in time without losing our lives or my house. Never, never again will I purchase a Maytag.

Waste of $1700. Well all I can say is I wish I woulda read these reviews prior to buying but thought Maytag was a good brand. Boy was I wrong. Never again will I purchase Maytag products. I must say I haven’t had any issues with the dryer. Works great. The washer on the other hand is garbage!! It barely cleans the clothes. Some articles only get partially wet. Everything tangles together. The worst part is all my dark clothes ends up full of dust and lint. They look dirtier coming out than when they went in. Very disappointed. If you use deep load it takes about 1 1/2hrs to wash, definitely not energy efficient, and clothes still have lint on both cycles, and unfortunately most of our clothes need to be hung up, so dryer can’t pick up the lint. My old wash was way better. I shoulda went for same old style. Save you money and buy another brand.

I bought a Maytag refrigerator model MBB1953XEW three weeks ago. According to its features on the Maytag website, its supposed to be quiet (QuietSeries 100 sound package). Ha ha, make me laugh. Its the noisiest refrigerator Ive ever had. The repair guy checked it out this morning. He spent about 5 minutes running some sort of test with the help of his iPad. He then told me everything was perfectly alright, the noise was normal for a Maytag, and that I was going to get used to it.Needless to say, he had a totally condescending attitude. Its the first time I ever bought a Maytag. Previously, I had a General Electric that was noisy but not as much as the new Maytag. Prior to that, I had a good old Kenmore that was perfectly alright but that I had to give away for other reasons. This time I chose Maytag because I thought it was good quality and I wanted it to be very quiet. Well, nope. Next time, for sure, it wont be a Maytag.

I will never buy anything made by Maytag again. I just bought this washer 9 months ago and the sensor broke. The repairman said I have to pay $300 for the new part and it will take 3 weeks, then the repair told me many people have this same issue and he wanted to be honest that this always happens to these washers and my best bet is to buy new... Whos up for a class action lawsuit against Maytag? I believe Maytag is making claims that are NOT true. I bought a new Maytag Bravos XL in Nov 2015. I asked the salesperson to point me to a deep water washing machine for Large loads. Salesperson sold me the Maytag Bravos XL MCT and made claims I would have 30% more water than the other washers. The sales pitch (according to Manufacture) is these smart machines have sensors that can detect how much water is needed. THIS IS NOT TRUE. My Maytag machine only gives me 1-2 inches of water on the normal and rinse cycles and maybe 4-5 inches on deep water cycle!!! Certainly not enough to cover clothes, towels or sheets. I immediately called Sears. Tech is basically being trained to tell consumers thats the way it is. This is the new future in washing machines. So, My recommendation - hire an attorney to get your money back!

In 2003, I purchased a brand new Maytag washer and dryer set, I chose Maytag because of their reputation. Within the first 6 months, I had a bearing go bad on it and that had to be fixed. It has become noisier and noisier throughout the years and now it is leaking all over the floor when I do a load. I am single, I live alone, I do laundry very seldom and do not do large loads. I am so disappointed with Maytag. When the repairman came out initially to fix it, he said that the brand he fixes most often is Maytag. Expensive lesson learned, Ill never buy any type of Maytag product again.

We purchased the Bravos X washing machine on Feb. 9, 2012. I had a Maytag for 30 years before this one and did not have any problems. My model # is MVWX700X. I have given it sufficient time to get used to it. I have tried all cycles for my whites and am not satisfied. I use Clorox in the receptacle and I have only used Tide HE. I spot treat all of our underwear, which is changed every day, and it always comes out unacceptable. I am so disappointed since I was so fond of my old one and only thought I wanted another Maytag. At this point, I would never recommend this machine.

I purchased a Maytag Top Loader Washer MVWX500XL last May 2011 from Home Depot to replaced our 15-year old GE washing machine. Two weeks ago, it started making horrible noise like a jet engine taking off during spin cycle. I called in the Maytag repairman and was told that the bearing is gone and it will cost $ 493.00 to repair it. He claims that the damage is caused by not using HE detergent exclusively and he refused to leave us a written estimate. We are only three adults in our household and we do our laundry once or twice a week. For this machine to be repaired only after 2 1/2 years of light service and for almost the same cost as a new one, I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool products ever again and I will encourage everyone the same.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator, model #mf12269veb on 2/1/12 and for the past few months it has been leaking water out of the bottom freezer unto my floor and ice is forming inside the bottom of the freezer. I purchased this on sale at Home Depot, 1 year later this washer top load doesnt clean clothes if the cycle does finish at all. I have to restart the cycle, re-rinse etc, theyre still dirty. I dont have time for that, I have four children and my husband works in construction and comes home with filthy clothes that are just wet and dirty when they come out of this washer. I dont usually write reviews but I hope I can save someone else the hassle. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand, they all complain of the same thing. This washer altogether is BAD! I purchased this machine (Maytag washing machine model MVWB700VQ0) from Home Depot in December of 2008. When purchasing it I decided to spend a bit more money on the machine, thinking I would get a quality product. For the last two years and 5 months it has only been me and my wife in the house as the kids are in college. Hence, the washer has not been used as much as some would use it. Within the last two and one half weeks the machine started making a horrible growling noise (probably the tub bearing going bad) and then started to leak yesterday. I noticed this morning that there was a large puddle of bleach water coming from under the machine. I called Maytag, which is just a fancy name for Whirlpool, and they basically told me too bad. It is inconceivable that a machine that used to last 20-plus years barely lasted three with only two adults using it. When I owned my previous home in another town the house came with Whirlpool appliances which literally fell apart within 5 years. I wanted to stay away from Whirlpool; however, I did not know that Maytag was owned by Whirlpool. I have received no assistance from Maytag. I am absolutely disgusted with the fact that an American iconic company such as Maytag is producing such garbage. I am going to be forced to figure out and fix what is wrong with the machine myself. However, I do believe this subject should be looked into further and possibly a class action law suit against Maytag for bad customer service since there seems to be quite a few people with issues surrounding this machine.

I bought my Maytag washer thinking that I was buying a quality product. My washer hardly ever can complete a spin cycle without bumping and knocking and then stopping. I have to babysit this washer because we never know if it will complete a cycle or not. The machine is totally level. We have to adjust almost every load just to wash clothes. We purchased our Maytag 4000 series electric dryer in October 2011 from Best Buy. We did get a very good deal and have had little problems until this am. I moved laundry into the dryer and started it. While I was loading the washer, suddenly I heard a popping sound from the dryer and smelled smoke. Scared me looking into it. Sounds like either our electrical cord or our heating element blew. Coming from an era (born in the 1970s) where appliances should last at least 20 years, I am disappointed with Maytag. I shouldnt have problems at least until this thing is 10 years old. And even then I have higher expectations. So when I replace this, it will be with a better product.

It’s really quiet and it cleans the dishes, pots, glasses on just 1 cycle and I’ve had it loaded more than one time. I do use rinse aid and I do occasionally use dishwasher cleaner. I wouldn’t own angry other than a Maytag dishwasher. They last forever. The commercial about calling a Maytag service man is true! I’ve never had to call fior service! Well worth the money!

Bought the Maytag high efficiency washing machine with the auto-sensing and deep water wash feature. It took some getting use to because of all the washing choices and different noises it makes. Auto-sensing seems to use very little water which is strange but clothes seem to come out clean. Best bet for me is like the old school way and use deep water wash and light load which is shorter and thats most efficient power wise but will use more water which is fine by me. Also bought the matching dryer and thats a 5 star review. Excellent product.

I bought the Maytag MVWX700XL1 (Bravos X) model in 2012 from Home Depot. I paid over $800 for this washer. I knew I was in trouble when I found dry spots on clothes after the washing completed. I started using the Bulky cycle. So much for saving water. It has not been overused, its only two of us. Today the spin cycle sounds like a train. The washing cycle has stopped working completely. Im very dissatisfied with this washer.

I purchase my Maytag electric glass top stove 9 years ago. 2 years ago, one of the burners went out and had to be replaced. Now, in the past 2 days, my oven is taking FOREVER to preheat from 0 to 455 degrees. So far, its been 78 minutes waiting for it to go from 0 degrees to 425! Apparently the heating element is defective. As far as the self cleaning oven, it is absolutely worthless, and does NOT work! Needless to say that Im very disappointed, and looking at another repair expense!

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I would have bought a new dishwasher for that price, but I was already in for almost $200.00. They dont give you prices upfront.

Washer water level sucks low at max levels kept freezing. Bought mtw7230. Its junk agitator doesnt rub good. Not like dual action agitator and when I start cycle says 34 min but I timed it takes one hour. Same goes to 1:30 to 2 hours takes 10 min for water to pour in spins for nothing. I sent it back. 965 I paid.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer about 2 years ago; dissatisfied with the products. Washer continues to smell. I clean it all the time with the Affresh tablets. Usually, I have to use 2 bags just to get it not to smell for at least 2 weeks. Now, the glass front dryer is rusting out around the window.

I spent an hour on the phone and the chat... HERES THE SOLUTION: When I told them the machine started in the middle of the night on its own, it became a safety issue. I have all the same problems as everyone else, flashing lights, the washer does not properly respond to the input from the control panel... I was told that even though it was out of warranty, as a gesture of goodwill Maytag is sending out an authorized repair service to fix whatever is wrong at no cost to me at all... Tells me that there really is an underlying issue. Anyway best of luck to anyone else in the same boat. I rated them as a 3 - not happy that this machine failed and I wont buy another, but they seemed to jump on fixing it...

Bought a Maytag Front Load MHW6000AW washer and had a problem with amount of water in wash cycle. Dealer sent service men 3 times and changed several parts but washer still did not work and both repairmen said they did not know what was wrong. They called Maytag Tech Support but those people did not listen and said if no code shows up the machine is operating properly. Maytag then sent another company repairman. He worked 2 hours and said he could not find the trouble and Maytag support hung up on him. Maytag then sent another company repairman and he did one test and said the machine is fine and left in about 15 minutes total time. Now Maytag refuses to send another company for another opinion but I have a $1200 machine that still does not work properly. I am totally dissatisfied with Maytag and will stay away from their products totally. Companies wonder why people buy foreign equipment and this is the answer. I had a Samsung washer and never had one bit of trouble with it.

Purchased a Maytag range with Aqualift technology in 2013 thinking it was a good brand and *happy* to find a new way to self-clean my oven. This turns out to be nothing but a joke and I am not *happy* with it. After following directions to the letter, there is some loosening of anything on the floor of the oven, but the sides and top are slowly being coated with more and more grease. Ive spent way too much time with my head in the oven trying to scrub stuff without using a heavy duty cleaner but feel I now need to resort to Easy Off as there is no other way to get it clean. I also dont understand why they tell you to remove the racks since there obviously isnt enough going on to even clean the oven... How would the racks be damaged? And now I believe there is a problem with the Dual Choice element where Im not able to turn the temperature down. Even turned back to the low setting, the pan cooks away like its on high. I have to keep turning it off and then back on in an attempt to find something similar to medium or low heat. Im so very disappointed in Maytag and feel this method of oven cleaning should never have been put on the market. Its a scam!

Absolutely the worst experience ever. The repair people that were sent to address the problem were great but the Maytag people did not care. I bought a new electric convection oven, the convection never worked. The repair people came out several times and checked and adjusted to try to fix the issues but the oven is totally inconsistent. Even the repair people thought I should have gotten a better response from Maytag! Maytag just said that I had a repair but not replace warranty - of course the warranty period is over now. I had trouble from the beginning, I would never buy another Maytag product. I thought that a company that supposedly has a great reputation would care more about their customer.

Bought this Maytag microwave mmv 4205ds March 2016. Have had open/close problems five times in 3 years. Unit replaced under warranty once. Now out of warranty. First off. Maytag customer service is horrible. I purchased a Maytag washer & used it 8 time. It now doesnt rinse the soap out of my clothing or even clean anything. The washer isnt broken because thousands of other people with the same exact washer have written negative reviews everywhere online. The washer needs to be recalled & never sold again. We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag Range Precision Touch Control 800 Electric Smoothtop - The racks in the oven fall down. I have replaced them with new ones but am having the same problem. I emailed my concerns to Maytag a few months ago but didnt get any response (so perhaps I didnt go to the right site). The oven was purchased in early 2008 and this is the only problem I have had with it. If I am extremely careful, I can bake cookies but if I try baking or roasting anything heavy, the racks fall. It is very frustrating but I was pleased, for lack of a better word, to see that someone else was having the same problem - at least I know it isnt just me. I will try contacting Maytag again.

Just replaced a washer that lasted over 7 years thru 3 renters with the Bravos top loading washer. There is nothing efficient about a cycle to take 73 mins to wash 20 articles of clothing (t-shirts, socks and underwear). The machine dont wash the top of the load. Also the deep clean feature isnt deep cleaning. I recorded a video of 20 mins of the machine not washing properly before going into rinse cycle. If this item dont produce refunds of the amount of water wasted RE-WASHING and electricity because it doesnt clean on first wash, then its time for Maytag to pay my utilities. For the money spent on the machine, going to the laundromat every other week with 1 roll of quarters each trip comes to be I can wash for 4 years and will outlast the longevity of the machine before it breaks! Also bulky mode is how you get more water in the machine but will take 63 mins to wash.

I have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator that is about 4 years old. It started leaking and continued to get worse fast... It appears that the gasket around the freezer drawer does not seal about half way up. It causes a sheet of ice inside the freezer, so I am not sure if it leaks due to the ice defrosting. The refrigerator doors do not seem as if they shut tight either. After reading many of these comments about Maytag refrigerators, I am not sure at this point if it might be better to buy a new one rather than fix this one??? I looked for a recall and do not see one. Clearly this is a defective appliance.

I purchased a Maytag gas range in the past few weeks with Aqua Lift Cleaning System. I have only cooked once when grease spattered on the walls and floor of the oven. I have used the Aqua Lift Cleaning System 5 (five!) times and the grease is still there and very sticky. This system clearly does not do what it was supposed to do. I was fortunate to have bought the appliance where I could return it; however, it has been quite a hassle and I will have to pay an additional $100 to have the old one removed and the new one installed! I feel like Maytag should reimburse me the $100 because it is obvious to me now that I have found hundreds of reports of people not being satisfied with this feature.

We purchased this product from Lowe’s in 2009. We liked it for the first 6 months. Then it started putting holes in our clothes, the washer smells bad, coins get stuck, and make noise. In September 2008, I purchased a Maytag washing machine (Model MTW5700TQ0) that had a faulty transmission. The machine was immediately replaced. Three years later, the transmission is again faulty. Maytag has refused any responsibility for repair or replacement.

Model MDB7749AWB2 Dishwasher - we purchased this dishwasher 3 years ago on 12/23/2011 and it appears to be falling apart. We have replaced two thermo fuses, one door latch/switch and now need the front control panel and handle because two mounting locations for the six screws have broken off. I truly expected a much longer product life than three years when I purchased a Maytag. So much plastic in crucial high stress areas must have slipped by the engineering folks. Or was it just cost cuts. I believe it will be a long time before I consider a Maytag product again based on this one. Thank you.

Washer would stop right after it started. I googled the problem and found out it was a bad lock. These Bravo XL units were purchased in 2015. Called an appliance repair and they charged me $250 to replace the lock (service call was $98.00 and labor was $90). The repairman left and I started the washer. There was a loud sound coming from it. I called the repairman back and he said it was the gear case and basket. He said the basket was covered under the warranty but the gear case wasnt. Would be about $750 to fix....no way was I paying the cost of a new washer to fix this less than 4 yr old one. I called Maytag. They couldnt help me. I should have purchased an extended warranty they said. The cost to purchase the extended warranty is now $394.00 per year....please do not purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance unless you like buying extended warranties.

Purchased Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB7749SBW3 in April 2014 along with other Maytag appliances to go into our home in the Georgia Mountains. Purchased Maytag for 2 reasons: 1. American made 2. Reputation. Bottom line, after just 2 years the dishwasher has failed. I prewash by hand everything that goes in. First the normal cycle stopped working. Then lights on front panel would randomly turn on and dishwasher would turn on by itself, and run for hours. I suspect this could be a fire hazard. I have tried front panel resets, cycling power, etc. Nothing works... It is really sad that American products are third world. I will replace the board myself in hopes of getting another couple of years out of it. No more Maytag for me. Rest assured every time I see someone in Home Depot or Lowes, looking at Maytag appliances, I will go out of my way to warn them.

My 16-month old dishwasher, which is not being used everyday, broke its control panel. Maytag will not fix it for free because they only back it for one year. This is a major appliance, shouldnt it last more than 16 months? The cost to repair is almost as much as a new dishwasher.

I recently purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Lowes. The performance of the washer was highly unsatisfactory. The water sensor does not allow sufficient water to enter the machine. Thinking it was a malfunctioning machine, I spoke to Lowes, and ask them to swap it out with another machine. They were cooperative and pleasant to deal with however, the replacement machine was no improvement. The water sensor does not allow enough water to enter the machine to even begin to saturate the load of laundry! I bought a washing machine, not a dry cleaning machine, but a dry machine was what I got and that is NOT okay with me. The literature states that load will not be covered with water, so that is how it is designed to work. With inferior water levels, and no agitator, there is not even a chance of water splash saturating and cleaning clothes. I am not an engineer, but common sense says this is efficient nonsense. VERY, VERY DISSATISFIED!

Purchased this washer at the end of August and it was delivered the first week of September. On September 27th the rubber seal around the door somehow got tangled in with a shirt and was ripped off (absolutely no idea how that even could have happened) and spilled water all over the floor. I called Maytag on Sept 27 and they had a tech out here by October 2nd which was great. However, even though I had told them the problem and that the rubber seal was damaged the tech didnt bring one when he came. I had to call them last week to find out what was going on - they had the tech call me and he said that the part had just shipped and he should have it by next week - Today, I had to call again as there was no follow-up from the tech and was told that hopefully the tech will come on October 21st once he gets the part as he hasnt received it yet. I regret purchasing Maytag, as I had heard they had better service (local techs/parts warehouses) than LG or Samsung but that doesnt appear to be the case. 3 Weeks to repair a $1400 washer that I used for about 4 weeks is unacceptable. On top of the inconvenience Ive had to spend $40+ dollars a week at a laundry mat, plus waste my time. One star service.

Well bought this washer a little over 1.5 years ago in 2017. The display started going haywire, flashing, going on and off and would only go to the normal setting, most of the time. Called Maytag and had service come out and Maytag would cover parts and labor. Turned out the control panel went bad. About a week later found out today part was still back ordered and not available with no ETA. So was told Maytag would replace the unit. So until I find out whether or not they will actually replace it, Im giving one star. Been holding for customer service for over 35 minutes now to verify what I was told. Its a shame because this washer was given a good review. It is a front loader.

I purchased a Maytag Legacy Series Quiet Series 300 in early July 2010. It had a recall for a heater part that could potentially burn down my house, so we couldnt use it while we waited for that part to be replaced. They offered me a small sum of money towards the purchase of a much more expensive dishwasher which I declined since Id only had the dishwasher a few months at the most. It is now the end of August 2011, a month past their factory warranty. The dishwasher did not get my dishes clean, made awful grinding noises and three days ago, it refused to drain and then spewed 50 or more gallons of water all over my kitchen which then leaked into the basement. The repairman charged $85 to tell me that the computer in the control panel had burned out and was not fixable. I think I paid somewhere in the region of $500 for this machine. My last dishwasher lasted about ten years. This is completely unacceptable. In searching the internet, I found hundreds, if not thousands of identical complaints. Clearly, this machine is a lemon and Maytag should be forced to replace it or better yet, refund the money spent to purchase the machine. Plus, pay for my valuable time spent mopping up water, washing dishes by hand, searching the internet for probable cause and potential solutions, waiting for Maytag/Home Depot to respond to my inquiries and a large sum for general annoyance. Maytag had a reputation of reliability (emphasis on had). Theyve got some slick ads but they do not stand behind their products at all. I will never by another Maytag product and I urge you to do the same.

My washing machine is a Maytag Ive been using for over 27 yrs. I love the older, top loading machines because I like to take certain items out after 5 or less minutes. I now live in an apartment & wont use their machines! Thinking about a stackable for my personal use. I am quite fanatic about laundry & do a lot of items by hand.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they dont have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. Im told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and Im told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didnt you do this first) and told because we didnt call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then Im told its our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and thats total BS. I explained how you cant offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it. Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they dont even have them. Then told Im getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesnt think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.
