We bought 10 18-lb washers about a year ago. They are a maintenance nightmare. For example on June 5 7 out of 10 machine were out of service. One has been down since Jan 20 and the others for various lengths of time. The guarantee for these machines has been misleading since the parts for repair are never available. We are losing business and money because of the Maytag failure to provide equipment that operates as advertised. We need help now.

I bought a Neptune washer and a dryer. I have had nothing but problems with these items since I got them. My washer keeps giving me a 3e code and will not clean the laundry right. I have used the H E detergent it requires and yet my clothes stink. My laundry smells like mold and mildew. I now dont have my units to wash and dry clothes. I paid almost $4,000.00 for the pair. I dont have the money now to replace them.

We purchased the Bravos X washing machine on Feb. 9, 2012. I had a Maytag for 30 years before this one and did not have any problems. My model # is MVWX700X. I have given it sufficient time to get used to it. I have tried all cycles for my whites and am not satisfied. I use Clorox in the receptacle and I have only used Tide HE. I spot treat all of our underwear, which is changed every day, and it always comes out unacceptable. I am so disappointed since I was so fond of my old one and only thought I wanted another Maytag. At this point, I would never recommend this machine.

I am happy with this dishwasher. I had a GE that had a lot of problems. I insisted on getting Maytag and I have been happy ever since. It controls the time, temperature, and is easy to operate. I would like a bigger dishwasher because of my family size. This dish is okay for a family of 4. It matches my furniture. It blends in. No complaints. The digital pad is convenient but it has been fixed a few times. I had a few technicians who did not know how to fix. It was not the dishwasher, it was the technicians.

Run away from this piece of junk machine AND company as fast as you can! I bought this set Oct 12 and by March 14 it was grinding/whining during the agitation cycle. I have been in contact through various forms with Maytag and they do not care! They first contacted me to review them and when I reviewed them very unfavorably they emailed me and this is what they said: Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. All I did was say exactly what happened.After that I went to their website to see what kind of reviews they were getting and lo and behold their rating is 4.4 out of 5. Of course it is when you simply cherry pick the best and plant a few lesser rated ones. I simply do not have the funds to replace what I thought was a quality product, nor am I sure I want to repair it as it doesnt clean clothes. I hate having been placed in this predicament by a greedy, slimy corporation whose only interest in me is profits.

As with everyone else here I have had my second control panel go here. In the five years I have owned it the first was covered by an extended warranty that I had purchased when I bought it, the tough part is I was forced to buy another Maytag at a higher price because of a recall for dishwashers catching on fire. I found out about this by accident.

Buy this washer! It has the best features! No matter what the setting, your clothes will come out as dirty as you put them in, only with even more odor! I just cannot believe how many different settings they managed to program into this washer, each one delivering the same miserable results. I am so happy that I spent so much money on a washing machine, that in some cases, doesnt even get my clothes wet. Truly amazing technology!

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.

What happened to the days of buying a washer/dryer and having them for years! To spend a thousand on each and have holes in the bellow causing dirty water to Empty on your floor. Not once replaced, not twice, 5 times!!! Now Im looking to buy another. Old school for me...

There should be a recall. Just look at the number of people complaining about this same exact occurrence about the control panel not activating. Im on my second control panel in 24 months. Some people are on their fourth already. Give me a break. There needs to be a recall and a redesign of this thing, which turned out to be a piece of junk washer.

We purchased the washing machine (MVWB400VQO) on July 9, 2009. Now we must buy a new washing machine as this one is apparently beyond repair, or else the repair costs will far exceed what it would cost to purchase a new machine. We are completely disgusted with its failure, as we paid $822.36, with the delivery fee and the tax. We expected that this machine would last for years, but here we are, 42 months later, having to again invest in a washer. Now that we have a computer and are able to browse your performance reports, we wish we had been able to read them before, in which case we never ever would have bought it at all.Yesterday it spewed water all over our basement, flooding things that should not get wet, providing an atmosphere for encouragement of mold and rust. The motor is gone as the housing is cracked, which was caused by debris getting into it, something that we could not have known or prevented. This is very poor design by your company, in our opinion. We called some repairmen, all useless as apparently the whole machine would have had to be completely dismantled at a rate of $84.00 per hour, and he could not tell us how many hours that would take, to say nothing of finding a new motor for the thing.We will never again buy a Maytag product as they are expensive with a too-short shelf life and there’s nobody who cares when you need help for something that should not have happened at all. I understand Maytag is really not the good old dependable Maytag we used to know and love at all, but rather is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, whose products we will never purchase either.I know why that lovable old Maytag repairman we used to see on TV is retired. Its because he could no longer stand the quality (or lack thereof) of the appliances that you are now producing. He is probably home, hiding his head somewhere and hoping nobody will recognize him. Maytag mod# MBF2258XE81, Ser# K04712605. 3 years old. At 6 months old, the drain plug clogged. Freezing water under pull out drawer of freezer, spilling onto kitchen floor. Fixed under warranty. 9 months later the same thing. I had to pay $190. Now, it has been happening for 6 months, and I use a spatula to lift the sheet of ice out. I have to do this every 10 days, or it leaks onto the floor, tile and rug in my kitchen. This is just wrong. I see I am not the only one. If Maytag does not fix this known problem, I guess I will get a new fridge. I had my last fridge for 21 years, never had problem. Thought I was upgrading.

I purchased my Maytag Neptune pair on Jan. 24, 2005. I was unaware of the problems and lawsuit related to these items. Luckily, I didnt have any problems with them until May of this year. At that time, I spent $337.00 for a new control panel for the dryer. (Just because I didnt want to split up my set.) I expected them to last me for the rest of my life. Of course, the washer had started to do something even the repair man had never heard of before, right about the same time. I told him that the tub would fill up with gallons of water, and surprise me when I opened the door on various occasions, flooding my laundry room and the basement downstairs. Mind you, this would occur even with the water supply cut off to the machine, no hot or cold running to it.He performed a diagnostic test on it and said everything showed up fine. Of course, it didnt overflow while he was here. He is the one who told me about all the trouble and the lawsuits. I had wondered why I didnt see them for sale anymore. I have been keeping the water turned off except when I need to use it after all this time. It still happens! The repairman thought I was senile or something. I dont have a mold problem, no trouble with the door lock (yet), and out of all the comments and complaints Ive read online today, only this site had one with a problem of it flooding the house. My husband and I are on a fixed income, and here is this unit (that I thought would be my last) rotting out my floor and wall in the laundry room, and flooding my basement. Not to mention it rusting out the inside of the washer and its pedestal. I would like to hear from anyone else who had this water problem, and what it took to fix it.

Bought Maytag dishwasher 2007 at Lowes. Model mdbtt60aww-37837606ll manufactured in Benton harbor, Michigan. First got a recall that something was faulty, could cause fire, needed replacement. Took 2/3 weeks to get repaired. So couldnt use. Never quite cleaned good - many times had to rewash silverware, glasses. Never took off food unless very well rinsed. Today the control panel went. Called a local repair he said, Dont even fix. Toss and get a new one because its too costly to repair. I asked what should I get. He said no GE, they are getting out of appliances, no Samsung. Hes got whirlpool so guess Ill give that a try. In the past Ive had dishwashers 20 years, appliances 20 years. This junk lasts a year or two. Plastic cracks. None of these appliances are great anymore. Doesnt matter who you buy. Someone needs to get some quality control on what these companies are peddling .

I also am the unfortunate owner of a Maytag dishwasher Quiet Series 300. I bought it in April 2006. The control panel has been a problem since the first year of operation. Typically, one of the indicator lights would randomly go on and off during the machines off mode. At other times, the control panel would not operate. However, if I waited a few hours, it would dry out, enough and then would operate. Apparently, steam leaks into the control panel and causes it to be erratic. This has been a problem with this design for many years and the Maytag Corporation has not cared enough about its customers to correct the design flaw. I remember when the name Maytag indicated a top of the line product. Sadly, this is no longer the case. As a result, my loyalty to them has ceased.I probably will not buy another Maytag product again. Their standards have eroded.

I have spent a lot of effort leveling my machine, and my wife balances the load very carefully, but 10 times during a cycle, it will start slamming the tub around, so loud you can hear it from the street. I, like others in this forum, thought I was buying the best washer in the market, and paid extra for the Maytag name. It sounds like from the other complaints, that my problem is just the tip of the iceberg. It will cost me $200 to replace the suspension rods. I wouldnt mind paying the money, if I thought it would fix my problem. After reading about all of the other problems with the Bravos, I might just cut my losses, and get a new one. Currently own model MTB1504ARW, serial number 12541413GT refrigerator. The defrost thermostat broke and it is causing the device to frost over and not cool. Maytag is trying to replace the part with part number 63001051 and that part does not match the part that came with the machine. I spoke with a supervisor, Mr. ** who certainly was not a problem solver or any help, in other words, lacks customer service. I explained the installation of the wrong part may be dangerous and could cause a potential fire or hazard. He assured me this was the part available, but also said it was discontinued and I would have to find it with an outside vendor. I explained I compared the part removed and the part they are suggestion, per the part list, and its the wrong part. As a supervisor, Mr. ** failed to provide true customer service for myself and future customers who may be in the same situation, with the potential of causing a hazard for customers. The Maytag supervisor should learn to provide customer service and prevent possible hazards for customers, taking the next necessary steps or research the issue with other departments within Maytag. The parts below are evidence of the issue, the suggested part has two wires, the one from the refrigerator has three... poor customer service, at best with potential hazards to families and children. It may because their appliances dont break, according to their commercials, they just have too much time on their hands and cant provide the assistance that is needed.

We purchased this machine (Bravos XL top load washer) in August and its been nothing short of a disaster. It doesnt clean anything. Within two washes my cloth diapers were unusable, loaded with ammonia and stains. Our camping clothes wreaked of smoke. I tried multiple cycles, more detergent, less detergent, larger loads, smaller loads. Doesnt matter. It doesnt clean. I called customer service within a week and waited 6 weeks for a service call. Into third trimester of pregnancy and recovering from an MVA, I was washing soiled clothing by hand in bathtub desperate for help. I only wish Id known about their 30 day money back guarantee. After many calls, no shows and cancelled appointments, the first tech comes. He tells me the machine is fine. They just dont clean well. Hes not surprised. I call the appliance shop, they said the same thing. That they wouldnt have sold me the machine if they knew I had dirty laundry to wash. (Who washes clean laundry?). They wont help us. We call Maytag back. They send another tech. He says the same thing. Tells us to keep complaining to Maytag. I call again and they tell me that if I want a service tech, I have to pay. Theyve deleted all my feedback from their social media site and refuse to provide any assistance. The machine is nice looking and makes big promises but thats where it ends. Save your money. Youll get better results with your grandmas washboard.

Yesterday I was using my washer (small load of clothes), I was with my baby in the laundry room when suddenly there was a horrible noise and the door of the washer opened, he hit my back, something fatal could have happened. I do not know how it happened but a piece of concrete was inside the drum. I do not want to imagine what would have happened if that piece came out and hurt my baby. I spoke to the company and explained what had happened to me, but they do not want to be responsible for what happened because the washer is in Tijuana (border with San Diego), I bought the washer in Pirch San Diego California in 2015. I bought a new washer and dryer on Sept. 9, 2011. Front Load Commercial 2000 Series. I have had Lowes to my home 2 times since it was delivered because it shimmies across the floor. I am very upset with the purchase of the Maytag front load washer. If you could please get back to me on what can be done. I purchased my Maytag washing machine in June 2011 and within the first couple of uses, noticed that my clothes did not appear clean. I went back to Home Depot and complained and was told I had to use HE laundry detergent and I was. I gave it a while longer and still, nothing I washed ever seemed to come out clean. Sometimes, the fabric softener dispenser fills with water; other times the fabric softener remains in the dispenser. The machine makes very loud clunking noises during the wash cycle. I knew this machine was a lemon from the get-go. I should have insisted that Home Depot come take it away. I will never buy a Maytag appliance again! Maytag should have recalled this washer long ago and, if there was a Class Action law suit, I would surely join in!

I purchased a Maytag made by Whirlpool in China about two years ago. The timer went out about nine months later. It went out again about 3 months after that and I paid to replace two sensors in addition. The washer still stops during a cycle at various times; it might be pausing or spinning or filling. When it finishes washing, sometimes it refills and leaves everything wet. I purchased from Deweys in San Clemente and they have tried to service but this is a real lemon. I will never buy anything again made by Whirlpool. I will research and find out what companies have been bought by them so as to avoid this. I note online that there are several hundred complaint problems about Whirlpool so they had to buy a company with a good reputation and ruin their product.

Washer does not clean very well, clothes are left with spots. The water level is never comparable to the clothes thats in the machine, it causes me to lose a lot of water as well as detergent. This machine is the worst washer we have owned. Its also very noisy.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL washer mid November 2013. Less than six weeks later it leaked water. The repair person has been to repair it four times. The last visit was yesterday. It now has more problems than it originally had. It still leaked water. Maytag does not stand by what they sell. All they say is they will repair it. I wrecked on a bike, had surgery and in a wheelchair. I bought and had a Maytag dishwasher delivered from Beaumont Home Depot and this mdb7749sbw2 model never never worked. Home Depot told me I had to bring it back myself (Im in a wheelchair at the months that was impossible) and I called Maytag warranty. They sent a tech. He replaced a front power panel that didnt work. They sent out two more techs and they said use other soap Lemi Shine and the other guy said use Finish and turn your hot water heater all the way up. That never worked either. I have had this a yr and it just sit there and money in the trash. It makes me sick.

I was all too excited to FINALLY own a new set! I conducted research and read reviews. We decided on the Maytag Bravo XL set (Lowes) and was thrilled! For the first 6 months. They were both fantastic! 6 months later, several times the clothes washed were soaking wet as if they had been set on soak. It continuously alerted to clean after 3 loads. The dryer... Well, evidently, if you live in a high-humidity region, DO NOT HOOK TO THE WATER LINE FOR THE STEAM OPTION. It will soak your dry clothes! After 3 loads of drying, it fails to re-start for the 4th load for at least 12 hours! When paying over $1,590 for a new set, this should not be an issue. Mind you, I do laundry once a week - 5 to 7 loads including linen. Fortunately, we paid an additional $200 for the warranty at Lowes.Lets see what happens there!

How can any company with a reputation that we all have grown up with MAYTAG pull such a DESPICABLE act on its customers of 20, 30, 40 plus years ??? $500+ repairs for each of 2 boards in nothing better than a BOAT ANCHOR... My Maytag refrigerator (bottom freezer) is about four years old now. Since the first year, it has been freezing up. The refrigerator gets warm and the freezer stays cold. Two repairmen have looked at it, replaced the electric panel and the thermostat - neither repair fixed the problem. If you completely defrost it, it will start working again. For about three years, it would work for a few months, but now it will only run for about two weeks before freezing up again. I called Maytag when this first started happening and again recently. They say they have never heard of anyone having this problem and they are sorry. The woman said she would put my complaint in my file. I certainly would recommend that people avoid Maytag refrigerators.

Went from an old simple Maytag to newer model, but still somewhat basic compared to others. However still getting used to the water saver feature in that getting in the right amount of detergent as not to have it set on my clothes and having to put through another rinse cycle and a more slimmer agitator. But do like the Maytag brand.

I will never buy another Maytag product. Our dishwasher is not even 2 years old and the control board went bad. No extended warranty was purchased because we assumed that it would last longer than 2 years when our Sears Kenmore lasted 25 years. No help from customer service. We now have to spend over $300 to get this piece of junk repaired.

Bought a Maytag French door refrigerator MFT2976AEM01 in August 2013. Started having problems before the refrigerator was a year old. I called to get it serviced and it took 4 months to get a repairman to check it out. He fixed one part and then ordered another part that he needed which took 3 months to get. After he replaced that part the refrigerator continued to have problems. The serviceman has been out to repair my unit 6 times so far. He has no confidence in the Service Engineers from Maytag. They recommended yet another part be replaced, however now Maytag will not cover the parts cost.They offered to let me buy a new fridge at a discount. After spending about $2700 in August 2013, I dont have the $ to spend again for a refrigerator. My refrigerator is so loud it has been waking me up for about a month now and I am sick and tired of it. Shame on Maytag for having such terrible customer service! I will never ever ever recommend a Maytag because this has been a nightmare!

The dishwasher is only one and a half years old and like many others are having trouble with the control panel. The model is MDB89495AWO which cost nearly $800. The dishwasher does not shutdown after an operating cycle. On contacting Maytag with the symptoms they advised that they have never heard of a similar problem. On reading the comments/experience of other Maytag owners I am undecided whether to scrap this unit and buy another make!

So this washer, Bravos MCT cleans good not great. Saves water but clothes dont always come out clean or smell fresh. We have had it for just over a year and the control panel stopped working. Warranty is good for only 1 yr. UGHH!! It is all one unit so the complete circuit board had to be replaced. Half the cost of this washer new! I saved money by replacing it myself. Took 15 minutes. Very easy. Disappointing when you see this is a come problem with this model.

Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 - I purchased the set 2.5 years ago and after 2 years, it started making a rubbing sound. I kept using it with having a family of 5 and this is why I purchased it in the first place; with 3 boys, I do a lot of laundry. It then quit working on me all together and wouldnt spin the clothes. I had a technician come out and it was the barriens that spun the drum so I had them fix it and it cost me $400. Then about a month later, it was flashing code F51 and not spinning. I had them come back out thinking it would be covered since it just got fixed but no, it cost me another $100. Now, 6 months later and here I am again unable to do laundry because its flashing F51 and wont drain or spin. I called Maytag and they tried selling me a warranty and said it wasnt recalled because there wasnt enough complaints. We need to all call and raise a ruckus. This is ridiculous. Sorry to hear everyone going through as I am.

This oven isnt even worth talking about. Just dont buy it. I used to bake a lot, but my recipes dont turn out anymore. My old oven was much easier. I dont know what the problem is, but I suspect it is oven temperature. The door also sticks. I have only had this a year and am ready to junk it.

I purchased my Bravo (MVWB300WQ2) washer a little over two years ago. It took all day to wash some loads due to leveling problems. Example, you could not put more than two bath towels in at a time, even with the towel setting. The washer would stop and you have to re-position the towels. You cannot leave because it stopped so often. Also, the washer makes an extremely loud noise during the spin cycle. My most recent problem, it does not complete the spin cycle. My clothes are still very wet. I refuse to call service. Its just too costly. It would be the third time in less than 3 years. However, the first time was within the year warranty (no charge). The basket had to be replaced - it was ripping my clothes. During my second service call, the technician advised me in purchasing an extended warranty. I paid for the service call and for a one-year extended warranty which just recently ended. The washing machine is not worth paying for service again. I am going to purchase a new machine instead!

I have a Maytag front load washer, and it has been flashing codes since day one, smells like mold, does not spin water out, and at first, all Maytag could say is, Im using too much soap, the wrong soap, loading too full, and I have it on a stand that is sold with the washer that they dont recommend, after I paid $300.00 for it. Now, it is flashing an E3 code, and will not finish a cycle at all. Maytag wants money to fix the problem that thousands of consumers have, after paying over $1,000 for the machine. I will never purchase another Maytag product, for as long as I live.

I purchased a Maytag top-load washer 16 months ago. I had a problem with it four months after purchase and they told me it was not leveled, which I did not believe. I set it up as the manual said to. The washer left clothes soaking wet about every 30 loads. I continued to use it and the washer finally quit working after 16 months. The repairman found the nut which holds the pulley on the shaft that turns the drum had been loose and had been this way for some time. $129.00 later, it was fixed. It works fine now. I wonder if this problem should have been caught on the first service call when it was still under warranty.

I just got the washer 2 days ago! Its horrible! What type of quality assurance dept are running? Or is there even a QA team?? I put a big load and selected Hot & Power wash. There was hardly any water. It was cold. The detergent nor softener never dispensed. This is the worst washer ever!!!

We had Maytag brand washer and dryers in the past. They worked for years and I was able to repair or replace switches and some parts on my own. The new Bravos XL is a very inferior machine, nothing but problems. The clothes have to be washed two or more times to make them clean. There is no agitator, so your clothes have only other clothes to scrub up against, and the spin cycle is just thumping and banging and thrashing around until you’re able to get in and rescue it from itself. Our older machines had tiny steel shot in the rim of the machine to keep it balanced. Don’t buy this machine ever!!!

We bought a Maytag dishwasher 4 years ago, we had to have it serviced a few months after purchase for the soap & rinse agent dispenser not working, then a few months after warranty was up the buttons on machine wouldnt work, the control panel failed so we had to pay for a new one and install it... Well last night exactly one year from the install of the new control panel I walked into my kitchen to find it full of smoke and the dishwasher pour out smoke, when my husband came home he took the door off and sure enough the control panel was burnt and melted! Very scary. It is a very good thing I was home and this is why I never leave appliances running if I am not home.

I moved into my home in July 2013. My kitchen came with all stainless appliances that appeared and seemed to be in excellent shape. I have been using the Whirlpool Microwave oven to heat foods (all in microwave safe) containers and dishes. This morning, I was heating a muffin, when suddenly I hear popping. When I looked through the glass into the inside of the microwave I saw sparks then flames. I immediately stopped the microwave. The fire apparently started in the area of one clip that holds the metal rack inside. In researching this issue online, I found hundreds of complaints from people who have experienced the same issue, and Whirlpool refused to replace the unit because it is out of warranty.

I bought a Maytag stainless steel refrigerator w/ freezer on the bottom. Since 6 months fridge being in my house I started to have problems, rust on the doors, water coming out of the bottom, freezer door got stuck w/ ice and couldnt be opened, butter, eggs, milk can be frozen one day and the next they have mold and bacteria because of the changes in the cooling system, among my problems. And what? Well yes thank you so much for the guarantee Maytag has in Puerto Rico, IT SUCKS! They been in my house more than 5 times and nobody really says whats wrong. They supposedly change the computer, still having problems, and this was done after more than three times visits from Maytag guarantee. Im still paying for the damn fridge and DO NOT HAVE A RELIABLE REFRIGERATOR. Im wasting too much food, Im obligated to buy food almost every day cause Im scare to give something that may be bad and my family will be food poisoned. Whos going to pay me or my family if something happens. Maytag is still running falsely commercial ads and somebody MUST STOP THEM. This appliances are not free or cheap. PLEASE help us because Ive learned that Im not the only one having problems in Puerto Rico w/ Maytag. Also I believe Maytag is using technicians not ruled by the government of Puerto Rico and thats why the service is horrible.

Purchased a refrigerator freezer in 2012. It freezes the refrigerator contents, ruins vegetables....freezer doesnt freeze the contents....stopped making ice. Clicks on and off every two seconds sometimes for twenty minutes......

I have only had this Maytag dishwasher for 2 years. My control panel has gone crazy! The child lock is blinking and I never touched it. I have tried to clear it by touching the heated dry button for 3 seconds, every once in a while it will clear. It eventually will start blinking again on child lock. I did research and have found out that Im not the only one that is having this problem. I now have to get it fixed.

We purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot; a couple months later the dryer started to rattle so we contacted Maytag and they sent a service tech out who stated this was normal as the dryer was settling and parts are not as tight as they are when new. This was a garbage response and he was asked to leave. I contact Maytag again, told them of the problem and the tech response and they offered to send another tech out except I would have to pay for the service call since they already sent someone out. I sent them an audio file of the rattle, no reply. Eventually Home Depot ended up replacing the dryer as Maytag refused to help me despite it being in the warranty period.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model #MDB6769AWB2. After 1 year and 2 months of light use (just my wife and myself), the control panel went out on it! I called Maytag and because it was over 1 year old, they would not do anything about it! When you call their number listed in the owner’s manual, they thank you for calling their Customer Experience Center. This is an experience I can do without!

This has to be the biggest joke in the world for the respected name of Maytag! The engineers that developed this worst-of-all machines on the market must have been circumcised with pinking shears. 80 minutes for a wash cycle? Even rapid wash takes an hour of slowly spinning and spinning ad nauseam with almost no water. The clothes sit in the same position even on the very brief agitation cycle... Nope, the clothes do not come out clean, although if you add bleach to the dispenser, since there is no water in the tank, the bleach does triple duty and rots the clothes. Is this masquerading as energy efficient when all of the cycles are an hour long, about? Unfortunately it takes water to clean clothes and the environ-lack-of-mentalists must have bribed Maytag to develop the worst washer on the planet. Absolutely!

We bought all new appliances for our remodel. I wish I could return this dishwasher. It has a problem with the door staying closed. I added images of how we are able to make it work. A service person is coming by tomorrow to put a new latch on it (I read several reviews saying the latch is messed up). So I made sure the service person is coming with the part. I called Home Depot when the problem started (used for up to 5 washes or so). And Home Depot wont return it! I called Maytag and they tried selling me an extended warranty and I asked what about the 10 year warranty the machine is supposed to come with? I guess thats a joke as the lady told me I should of read the fine print. So buyers beware! I wish I would of know about Maytag. I would have about a Samsung instead!!!

We upgraded and purchased a new Maytag Dishwasher Quiet Series 300 MDBH955AWQ to benefit our new kitchen remodel. Initially, the dishwasher worked great. I routinely insist on keeping the filters and interior clean as I was raised up believing that if you take care of your equipment, it will take care of you. Very shortly after purchase, there was a fire recall which was taken care of by Maytag and a third party contractor. Then as time went on, it continuously rendered out dishes with debris and food on them. Then it stopped working. It turned out the latch or door handle broke on the pivot point on the interior of the door. I got that replaced and everything was good again. Then about three months later, of course after warranty, it would not start or anything. I verified power and connections and nothing. I spent about $60 on JustAnswer for further advice and the answer was to replace the control board. After about $250 for a service call and $130 additional, it turned out the control board went out. I observed how it appeared to be a poor design due to the control board being exposed to all of the humidity and other moisture from within the dishwasher door. Then after that being fixed, about six months later, the door latch broke again. Its minor enough that you may not realize its broken until you open the door panel back up again. The plastic is breaking Im sure due to the heat and moisture, but its just minor enough that it will not make contact to indicate the door is closed. I got that replaced again for another $140. Four months of that getting fixed and Im getting the same result, no functionality at all from the control panel. In other words, the control board is out again!Ive spent almost as much in repairs that I have for the dishwasher in the first place. As many have stated before, why are we not getting quality products anymore? I went to the Maytag website to see if there were any other additional recalls for this dishwasher, and the recall site was down, so I called. The lady on the phone, as pleasant as she was, indicated that the recall for the heater coil was already performed, which I already knew. I asked, due to the other problems Ive had and money Ive spent, if there were any additional recalls, and of course the reply was no. Im used to staying with a reputable company and providing loyalty to that company for quality products and service, even if I have to spend more initially in order to spend less overall. Obviously, Maytag is now out of the question for future business or referrals. This dishwasher is getting replaced before I put one more dime into it.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in March 2013 and the control panel failed in July 2014. I, along with hundreds or thousands of others it seems, discovered that this is an extremely common issue with several models of Maytag dishwashers. Rather than standing behind their products and making it right for their customers, Maytag is hiding behind their one year warranty and refusing to do anything about it or even admit they installed thousands of FAULTY control panels. This has been an expensive, infuriating issue to deal with and I have never been so dissatisfied with a company. Bottom line, they made a bad product that should have been recalled. It blows my mind that they are getting away with this. I wish I had known the recent changes in Maytag/Whirlpool and I wish I had done my research prior to the purchase.

Purchased the very top of the line Maytag Washer and dryer.. Top loader MVWB955FC1 washer. I got this huge washer and dryer because I was tired of paying $20 to have my Cal King comforter laundered. Bad idea.. Yes the comforter fits easily in the drum of the washer but it does not even come close to clean.. Why no agitator..? It leaves soap all over it in addition to the dirty laundry smell.. The dryer is better but it takes at least 3 cycles of taking it out and un-wadding it to get it all the way dry. Now my wife just hangs it on the line.It has been just over 3 years Feb 2017 since I bought both units from HH Gregg.. Now the top of the washer around the soap dispensing orifice has rust bubbling up worse than my 25 year old unit I put by the curb.. Maytag support is no help.. “Sorry rust is normal and it your unit is out of warranty”. I asked If this would have been covered under warranty.. NO!.. Not unless you report it within 30 days.. We only use it once or twice a week.. What terrible service..

I got a washer from a Menards Store in Fond du Lac, WI. I was given a line of crap at how great it was, and because Ive used Maytag for years I bought it. Id rather have my 20 plus old one back. At least it didnt take over an hour for a load, and the rinse cycle really worked. WE HATE YOUR NEW WASHER. As soon as we can afford a different washer well be looking for a different brand.

Please let me know if there is a class action suit. My lower freezer froze within a year, now 2 years later same problem. Im all in, this is clearly a design defect that we are all paying for. I would have bought something else. Ridiculous product.

I bought this machine at Lowes because of the BIG drum area and about 2 years ago, it started to make funny noises; then I got the F-51 signal. I tried everything, shifting articles of clothing, then unplugging the machine and re-plugging. I am in the process of researching a plain Jane model, not one with all the bells and whistles. I am extremely dissatisfied and wish Maytag would step up to the plate and recall these machines. A motherboard and the costs for other parts, I would be better off replacing with a brand new machine. Dissatisfied!!!

We were delighted with our new Maytag refrigerator, model #MBF2258XEB, until the compressor died less than a year after we bought it. Home Depot, where we purchased it, directed us to the A&E Company for service. Two weeks later, we are still without refrigeration; Maytag refuses to replace it and even refused to overnight the new compressor. We thought Maytag set an industry standard for excellence. Don’t buy this product if you want a reliable refrigerator from a company that stands behind its products.

Stay away from Maytag Bravo washer. We bought one a year ago and fought with them this whole year. It leaves lots lint on clothes. Weve had 2 technicians here 4 times. Now they finally said we can replace but will only get a prorated credit even though its been junk since day one and we contacted them immediately. If we wouldve known they wouldnt stand by their warranty we wouldve hauled it back to store for full refund. They dragged us along a year and now warranty is no good but they will prorate. Not fair at all.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWB2 in Dec. 2011 from Home Depot after a major flood destroyed my entire first floor of my house. I had replaced a previous dishwasher only a short time before the flood. This dishwasher is JUNK. I was lucky I bought a five year extended warranty on it which actually gave me 6 years. I needed it. Within a year the control panel went. Then water started spraying out the side of door. Then it sounded like it was crushing ice every time I ran it. Then the control panel went out again. Ice noise came back again. Control panel a 3rd time. It runs for hours as it is.Now the warranty is expired and last time I ran it the start light was blinking a few hours later. We were having high winds on and off so I thought maybe the power went on and off and that’s why it was blinking. Today I turned it on and after about 45 minutes I realized I didn’t hear it running anymore so I got up and looked and sure enough it wasn’t on. Normally the clean light is lit when done. I opened the dishwasher to see it filled with water still. I tried to hit cancel/drain but nothing works yet again. Wonderful news for a single mom that can’t afford to fix this over and over! Maytag is the worse company. Their dishwashers are horrible and they should be doing something about this as I’m not the only one that has had this issue. Home Depot was just as useless. Will NEVER buy again.

We purchased a complete, upper-end Maytag kitchen package from Lowes. So far, the MMV5208WS microwave has gone out 3 times; it was the magnetron all 3 times. The last time was a few weeks after the warranty ran out. After a lot of discussions with Lowes management, they then took it back and gave me choice of any brand. We picked a Samsung and have had no problems so far.As for the MDB8859AWS dishwasher, it was just stuck under the counter for the first 6 months of its life, because we were in the middle of a remodel and it wasnt plumbed in yet. Once we got it working, my wife loved it. Weve used it maybe 40-50 times since she was still hand-washing small sink-loads of dishes. A month or so out of warranty, it went out. There were no lights on the keypad and everything was dead. We thought it was the main control board, but it wasnt. Next, I tried the keypad, because Ive read many posts about these 2 things seeming to always go out on these models. I still have the fridge and stove, and hopefully they fare better than the microwave and dishwasher.What kills me is when I look at my old Maytag dishwasher and Samsung counter top microwave in the garage; both 15-20 years old and still worked just fine after getting replaced. It has never had a repair of any kind. I went out and spent $639.00 (it was on sale, the regular price was $799) on a ** dishwasher and it didnt even last a year. The microwave was close to $400, and it was on sale. I think my old Samsung microwave cost $79.99 when I bought it. You used to get what you paid for!

Received this Maytag dishwasher model MDW7749SBW1 as a gift from my son in June 2013 when my old dishwasher finally quit. January 2014, the soap/rinse aid dispenser did not work. Called Maytag and they sent repairman who replaced the part. Still did not work so repairman said another part was not communicating with the dispenser so he replaced that part. Worked fine. No charge since it was under warranty. Now its July 2014 and the touch panel doesnt work. Called for repair and was told since it is out of warranty, it will cost about $350 to repair. I called Maytag about this and said that I had a defective appliance. I was told that since I didnt buy the extended warranty, there was nothing they could do. I mentioned my last Maytag lasted 25 years and had only two minor repairs so I didnt see any reason to buy an extended warranty. I thought I was buying a good product. I was told shed register my complaint. Waiting for my repairman to come out tomorrow and see what he can do. I also have a Maytag stove. Wonder how long that will last?

Well I must say I concur with all previous posts. I just replaced my Bravos with a Samsung after my jet plane of a washer died. My repair guy said it was not worth it to fix it. I had already replaced the shocks two years ago but I did have mine for 8 years. I have had the same problems as previous posts - rust, smell, holes, broken, too expensive! Hello to Samsung!!

Maytag refrigerator model MFF2558VEM9 purchased in November 2012 from Home Depot for $1329 suddenly would not maintain freezer temperature under high 20s in April 2017 (4 years, 5 months). Repairman says it has coolant leak, probably due to corrosion within the sealed system. Cost to repair - $1500. Repairman says this is a common problem.

Maytag washing machine exploded sending glass shrapnel everywhere. At this point I believe Maytag should replace the machine. I appreciate after MANY hours on hold and being transferred that you are sending a repair person out, but there is tiny glass shrapnel all over inside. This is crazy, and a MAJOR safety concern.??? Update - can’t find parts or an eta. Replace the machine!

Fridge leaked all over our floor and ruined it! Very unhappy! When we open the freezer we find a sheet of ice on the bottom. We have to keep a towel on the floor so we dont slip and get hurt. I finally get a new kitchen and the fridge is ruining it! Yuck.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos from Lowes in early 2014. A few weeks after the motherboard fried and Lowes replaced it with a new one. Within my 1 year warranty the new machine had another fried motherboard. Maytag replaced it for free. Now less than a year later the motherboard is fried again. Needless to say I just purchased another washing machine. Definitely not a Maytag. Now I just have to deal with a dysfunctional piece a junk for a few days until I get my new one. After reading all the complaints on here and other sites, Im very disappointed with Maytag. These machines are obviously lemons and any good company should recall them. Mine will be going straight to the junkyard. I have no interest in having a washer that breaks down every 10 months. Definitely the last thing I will ever purchase from Maytag.

We purchased our home in late 2010 and was excited about our HE front-load washer (and dryer). Immediately, we noticed mold on the rubber boot, and the smell was horrible. We ran the washer with Affresh several times and left the door to open when not in use, and that seemed to help. Then most recently, the washers been shutting off mid-cycle through normal wash setting. I used to pound the washer out of frustration, and that seemed to get the machine working, but now it doesnt work at all. We had a repairman come out, and he charged us $94 to basically remove debris from the drain hose, and he told us that if the washer fails again, wed be looking at an expensive repair cost pertaining to the central control unit. We had a second repairman come out and replace the central control unit. It worked while he was here, but now its messing up again, shutting down mid-cycle. I have to unplug the washer for hours, replug, put it on rapid wash cycle (and hope it doesnt fail), and if it fails, then unplug, wait, put it on spin cycle... Its aggravating, and were looking at $300 to $400 in repair costs. Our repair man says front loaders are a nightmare (and he still has his non-HE washer from the 80s, and its still working). Our washer is Maytag Epic Z, model number MHWZ600TE00. Avoid front loaders, and definitely Maytag or Whirlpool front loaders. Well need to shop around for a new washer, an old-fashioned top loader this time.

I am extremely disappointed with Maytag and the representatives I spoke with this evening. One laughed after I told her I was 7 months pregnant and without a fridge for a week after owning it less than a year. I was repeatedly and curtly told, We dont cover that, when I asked only to replace the recent food I had purchased. After having to request a manager several times, I was put on the phone with Dana ID ** who said she would not be able to help with any food despite the delay of a week for repairs to our fridge. However, she could extend our warranty for 6 months.The only reason we were able to get someone out as early as we did was because we knew a licensed Maytag service repair company. Otherwise, we would still be waiting for someone to come out to tell us it would be another week before repairs. The originally assigned service repair company by Maytag did not return our call. There was no concern or empathy from the Maytag representatives that I was pregnant and could have eaten food that was not cooled to prevent bacteria growth that would harm me and my baby.Even their service repair technician recommended to contact them about the spoiled food since it was impossible for the repairs to be completed before the end of the week. We will never purchase Maytag again. The appliance failed with no warning in less than a year, and the representatives made no effort to resolve our issue of being without food for a week.

We bought the Bravo XL set 11 months ago and the washer leaks all over the place.. Called Maytag and had the repairman show up. Upon arrival he told us these were the worst machines to buy and would never recommend to anyone. He also said that business has been great due to all of this.. He checked the washer and said the water pressure was too high and lowered it. He couldnt find anything wrong with it. After he left I started a load and sure enough it was the same. Called him right back and he said to call Maytag because he was going to another repair job. I called Maytag again and they said to call the repair guy.. Never again will we ever buy Maytag.

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

First front loader washer and love it. Saving on water, less tangling of clothes. So far they are quieter than others that I have had. The dryer is almost 10 years old and the washer less than a year. The machine I had previous to this was top loader that had to be replaced, would no longer spin.

I have a major complaint with the Maytag double oven design. With the smaller oven above, if you spill any liquid while taking something out of the top oven, the liquid drips down between the two panes of glass on the lower oven door. This makes it impossible to clean. Maytags reply - call a service rep and have him make a house call and take the door apart for you and clean it. Not warranty work so I would have to do this every few months. Also, when baking in the upper oven, cakes and cookies tend to overcook on the bottom as the dishes are so close to the element.

Like so many others, I now discover, we are having a ridiculously frustrating problem with our Maytag dishwasher, bought one and a half years ago. Last week, the control panel stopped working -- we press normal and a whole bunch of other lights come on; try to press other cleaning options and entirely different ones light up again. Sometimes we can get it, with luck, to quick wash or super clean and thus have our dishes cleaned (which the machine never did that effectively anyway); sometimes we cant. I havent called the company yet, but given what Ive read, Im unsure if it would do any good. Judging from all the similar comments, Maytag is clearly selling a radically inferior product and care nothing much about this. We will surely never, ever buy another one of their products.

This is not my first Maytag. Bought this one in August 2017 from Home Depot. Now all it does is make a grinding sound. No lights. Not anything but noise. I bought one without all the digital because I thought that could be more problems. The only part that is digital is the start/pause button. I liked the idea of less water and no center. It balloons the clothes when it is finished spinning. Didnt start out that way. I use the right detergent and wash it every 30 days as it suggests. Cant afford to call a repairman on such a new washer.

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

The washer drum fills up with very little water, very little. I can do an entire load of laundry and the stuff on top doesnt ever get wet. Went on Spring Break in Florida and a month later our clothes still smell like the beach. Grill out, and I smell steaks the next time I put on the shirt. Stain your clothes in any way, its there forever unless you hand wash it first.To get it to work at all, each time I have to start the wash cycle (I leave the soap out just to save it for the next start), let the drum fill with water, pause it, get all the clothes wet, then cancel the cycle. After it drains and the machine is off and full of wet clothes, then start it all over again adding soap this time. On the second try, set at deep cycle, it will add enough water to cover the clothes - Im guessing because it senses more clothes because the clothes are now wet from the first, cancelled cycle. During the wash cycle, Ill open the lid and robustly move everything around, almost hand washing. #Handy. The dryer is fine, Im keeping it. The washer, cant return it - been three months of this frustration (kept believing it was me, reset it multiple times, change the settings, tried everything). Im buying a new one and throwing this junk out. $700 lesson.

Maytag Bravo washer and dryer delivered 2 days ago.My complaint is with the washer. I didnt know it was HE and that it requires special detergent! I didnt know the lid locks! I didnt know when I push the hot water button, the machine mixes in cold water! Complicated, delicate machine and not user-friendly. I dont expect the washer to last long.

We have a Maytag washer. It is the noisiest washer I have ever seen! It is in the garage as you could not have this washer in a house. The deep water wash is not deep enough. It bangs and knocks VERY loud! There have been times when all of the clothes are not even wet.

I purchased a Maytag MDB7749AWW dishwasher in March of 2012. The electronic control on this unit failed in June of 2013 (3 months out of warranty). I have been trying to get a replacement part for over a month; the part is on backorder and unavailable. Whirlpool is unable to tell me when the part will be available. So, I have had no dishwasher for over a month and have no idea when, or if it will be repairable. Additionally this part is $150.00 and another $75.00 to have it changed. So it is going to cost me $225.00 to repair a 15 month old dishwasher that I paid $450.00 for. I have received ZERO support from Whirlpool. They told me today, 7-31-13, that the part is still unavailable and they will notify me in 3-6 business days as to if they can find a part. After seeing all the issues other people have had with this part, Whirlpools total lack of concern or support for the consumer and the cost issue it makes no sense to repair this unit only to see it fail again in a year or so. Basically I have a $450.00 boat anchor. The retailer purchased it from feels bad and is offering me another manufactures machine at a reduced price. Maytag has refused to do anything for me. I will never buy another Whirlpool / Maytag item again and I do intend to add my name to the pending class action suit.

I would not buy a Maytag again. I am very disappointed with the noise level this dishwasher produces. I am also not happy with the inside capacity. I never have enough room for all the dishes when I have dinner parties.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator model # 1TXEGMYWOO. The refrigerator part froze all of the food in it. We moved the temperature selector to the last place (two notches away from the recommended setting), and the food still froze. The furniture store we purchased it from replaced it with another refrigerator (same model). And that one did the exact same thing. We had to throw out more groceries. Obviously, this model is defective. We are now waiting for the store to replace this one (with a different model and brand). They have been very good about trying to make things right for us. Maytag, however, is a different story. They were very rude and indifferent when I called to complain. Their policy is to repair or replace the part (temperature gauge). I dont want a new part. This is a new product. And I bought it expecting it to work. I have had to throw hundreds of dollars worth of groceries away. I was very disappointed in their attitude. I will not purchase another Maytag item again. They used to have a good reputation. They now sell inferior products and do not stand behind their products.

Maytag Centennial 3.4 top-loader was purchased at Home Depot. It has never worked yet. On 4/28/12, the third weekend, I sat home for the servicemen to fix this junk machine. The first two times, the machine didn’t work ten minutes after they left and today they went to the wrong address. I have much more important things to do than to sit around and wait for someone to figure out what is wrong with this machine. It would have been cheaper for me to junk this brand new machine and buy a washer from a company that makes washers that work!

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

We bought this Maytag washer 3 mo. ago and now need work done on it. We were told that they could not find anyone willing to come work in this area. We live in the Mississippi Delta, 30 miles so. of Greenville, 50 miles no. of Vicksburg or 90 miles from Jackson. So I guess the Maytag repairman is not just lonely anymore, he doesnt exist.

First things first, Maytag Bravos washers are crap. Dont buy one. Purchased model # MVWB750WQ 06/12/2010 for $872.02 + tax. After 3.25 years the spin cycle started making extremely loud whining noises. Bought a replacement water pump for about $100 as several people were reporting the same issue. Before I had a chance to replace it the washer started leaking from under the washer. And not a small amount of water! Mats were getting soaked after each wash. I went ahead and replaced the water pump. But the whining noise, while diminished, didnt go away. And the leak continued. Based on what Ive read on this and other forums it looks like Ill have to replace the bearings for the tub. Not going to happen. Just ordered a Speed Queen washer for about the same price as the Maytag and I will never buy another Maytag (or Whirlpool) product again. Note that I purchased the Maytag at Best Buy. Its important that Best Buy take some of the credit for this issue as they are complicit in keeping these substandard products on the market.

I purchased the Maytag refrigerator MFF2055DRM on 7/7/16 new. It was suppose to be stainless steel; but now I am seeing rust spots at the top and bottom of the French doors. I clean my refrigeration weekly and find it odd that now it is rusting. Also, I am able to place magnets on the doors - which should not be for stainless steel. In addition, I spend over $100 a year replacing the mandatory filters. I must also place the setting to high to maintain my milk and juices. I must also have to place them in the very back of the refrigeration. I am a single senior and my refrigeration is not overloaded with food; nor am I constantly in and out of the refridge. Not very happy.

I purchased an expensive front-load washer and dryer a few years ago. About a year after I purchased the washer, there was a foul smell that developed. I contacted Maytag and they informed me of the directions to follow - keep the washer door open when not in use and use Affresh tablets periodically. I followed these directions and was unable to prevent the washer from developing mold in the washer. Id like to file a formal complaint on my washer and dryer. I want a refund on it. I paid way too much money on these units to suffer. Brand New 2019 Model 465 Washer and like others are saying is a piece of junk as they do not fill the drum with enough water even on the Deep Water fill option. The laundry does not circulate and nothing gets clean. Maytag is really poorly designed and manufactured these days and a complete Rip Off!

We built a new home in 2008 and purchased a Maytag appliance package from Home Depot, including a dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. From the beginning, we had problems with our French door refrigerator (MFC2061HEW; it has been discontinued). Within the first year we had 3 ice makers replaced because it was not making any ice. Now, mind you, we went through Maytag to have their repairman to service our appliance and they set up all the service calls. We limped by for awhile and called a different repairman to come and check the fridge because it was not staying cold or making ice again and, of course, it was out of warranty. The first thing he did was check the freon and we were told that it didnt have enough freon to keep it going, so he recharged it and it worked great. We have had to have the repairman come back again this month because it stopped making ice and the temperature for upper and lower was all over the place. He checked the freon again and said the unit has a slow leak in it and he was unable to fix that. I contacted Maytag because I felt if the first repairman had checked the freon from the beginning, we wouldnt be having this problem. The only suggestion I got from them was call a company with a dye kit test and that they are sorry, but its not under warranty. I dont know about anyone else, but $2000.00 for a fridge that has been a pain since day one is a lot of money to replace. I feel they dont care about their customers and they should be responsible for paying for the repair that should have been caught from the get-go.

We purchased a Maytag double oven in November 18, 2008. I was baking and the top oven wasnt working. We called Maytag service number on the book we received when we purchased the oven. It took 25 minutes for someone to answer our call. The person did not know what our problem was. We thought it could be the ignitor. He transferred us to a parts person. That person didnt know the answer and hung up on my husband. How rude of him. We will never purchase another Maytag product. We will let our family and friends also know. You need to inform your personnel to know their products.

I purchased a Maytag energy efficient dishwasher in June of 2010 along with an extended warranty that I keep extending. Cost $ but needed. Issue: Sensor in Panel fails so far every year and needs to be replaced. The repair technician showed me the sensor strip and indicated that this has been a big problem. (At least I have a warranty; however, it is a big pain to have to schedule a service repair person to fix the problem.) Repair (Sears) is EXCELLENT with great customer service. I did contact Maytag and there has been no recall.I own other Maytag appliances such as a washing machine and refrigerator with no issues there. In any case, I needed to replace my clothes dryer and did not select a Maytag. I purchased a GE very simple product with no sensor/bells and whistles. Not sure if I will go back to Maytag in the future - depends upon how they handle problems with their appliances. I would rather pay extra money for quality, durability, and reliability than go through the inconvenience from parts that are not made well enough to hold up.

I need a new circuit board for a $2500 refrigerator. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend when the ice chute started opening and closing and lights on door panel flashed like crazy. I called Maytag, who set up a service appointment for me for Monday. The tech came at 6pm and said there was nothing he could do without a part from Maytag and left. I proceeded to throw out all spoiled food and load a cooler with ice. I called Maytag, and they said it will take about a week to receive the part and have service. I have children in the house, and we live in Miami. I said that I would pay for overnight delivery of the part, and they told me it couldnt be done. I called this morning for a tracking number of the part, and they told me that it wasnt sent out as of yet. According to the internet search, this is a problem with a considerable amount of model number MF12568AES, and I should have been notified by the company. They claim it is a special project, not a recall.

This washer had good reviews when we bought it, but now today the agitator is not working. I see there are now 100s of bad reviews of this machine most around the same 1 1/2 year mark. How unacceptable to have a large appliance like this break after such a short time. Ive called Maytag to see if there was a recall and there is not. They offered the extended warranty to me for $325 that would cover all parts and labor. Ridiculous.

This appears to be a common, known, well publicized problem - freezer drain clogs and needs to be either changed or repaired with a fix, a free replacement part for the drain seal. Easy to install, takes 15 minutes. HOWEVER Maytag will not give you the part!! In order to take advantage of Maytags correction for a well known, chronic, manufacturer defect, you must engage an authorized service person for hundreds of dollars and wasted vacation time waiting at home for them to show up. Unlike any other product, recall this one is not free. My kitchen is full of Maytag products; dishwasher (not so good), range and a refrigerator that had to be replace when the compressor went out after six years. However this is the last straw, Ive learned my lesson, seen the light, THIS IS THE LAST MAYTAG PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY.

Bought a French door Maytag with freezer on the bottom. Ice build up on the bottom of the freezer and it has ruined my floor. We are replacing the floor in the kitchen. It is only a few years old. They have horrible customer service and will not replace anything.

Maytag MVWC300BW clothes washer makes holes in heavy duty T shirts & sheets. It stretches clothing. We are following directions in loading without success. We are washing everything on the gentle cycle twice to get the clothes clean without destroying them. Today we were stood up for our third service call.

Washer Model MVWC555DWO. I dont like this machine. I thought Maytag is a good brand name, but I dont think so anymore. The engineers who designed these new machines with the water level saver dont do laundry. In order to get the cloth covered with water, I have to use the bulky sheet level. I have 2 jeans and a sheet that got holes in them, because the water level was not right. I would have my old machine repaired, if I have know how my new one would do. Im stuck with this machine. I dreaming that this machine breaks down soon and I can buy a new that has a better water level. My old one had water saver level too, but did a great job with the water level.

I purchased this dishwasher about eight years ago, and I love the performance and the stainless steel interior. I never have a problem getting my dishes clean. This product definitely lives up to its reputation. Going forward, I would definitely buy the same brand if it became necessary.
