We paid over $800 (more with installation) for this quality dishwasher. Within one year we began to experience problems with this unit. The top control panel easily becomes water logged causing the device to fail.

Maytag Bravos 300 Electric Dryer - Purchased dryer 2011 and a computer part went out and Maytag wants $418.66 for a computer part. This dryer was used only 6 months a year. Poor attitude about repairing from Maytag and they would not do anything to make us happy with product. A dryer that goes out in 3 years is robbery. Maytag should repair and make customers happy but they just dont care. Anyone who buys a Maytag or Whirlpool product should have their heads examined. I tried to talk sense to Maytag representative but to no avail. I am now going to make sure all of southern Indiana knows of my problem with this product. Those who know me know I have the ability to contact thousands of southern Indiana and Louisville residents.

First things first, Maytag Bravos washers are crap. Dont buy one. Purchased model # MVWB750WQ 06/12/2010 for $872.02 + tax. After 3.25 years the spin cycle started making extremely loud whining noises. Bought a replacement water pump for about $100 as several people were reporting the same issue. Before I had a chance to replace it the washer started leaking from under the washer. And not a small amount of water! Mats were getting soaked after each wash. I went ahead and replaced the water pump. But the whining noise, while diminished, didnt go away. And the leak continued. Based on what Ive read on this and other forums it looks like Ill have to replace the bearings for the tub. Not going to happen. Just ordered a Speed Queen washer for about the same price as the Maytag and I will never buy another Maytag (or Whirlpool) product again. Note that I purchased the Maytag at Best Buy. Its important that Best Buy take some of the credit for this issue as they are complicit in keeping these substandard products on the market.

We bought a new Maytag fridge in 2013, french doors, ice maker on the bottom. In 2 years we have replaced the control panel on the front door 3 times. Each time the plastic panel cracks and breaks free. The last time they replaced the entire door, all on warranty. Well 3 months later it does the exact same thing. I call Maytag and they say, fridge is past its warranty period so no coverage. It will cost me about $600 to replace this control panel.

We purchased a Maytag MDB7749SBWO Maytag dishwasher. Suddenly the control panel does not work. Trying to find out why I found that there are thousands of complaints about this known defect with water and steam getting in and corroding the control panel. Shame on Maytag for continuing to sell these without fixing the problem. I expected my dishwasher to last many years based on the Maytag reputation instead I need to replace it. I am not going to spend the money on a repair with a machine that will have the same problem again according to other consumers.

I built a new home in November of 2013 and filled my house with all brand new top of the line Maytag appliances. Almost a year and a half in, my $2500 refrigerator is broken and all my food is lost. They send a repair man out; and guess what, the warranty is expired. So they wanted me to pay $800+ to have my refrigerator repaired a year and a half after I purchased it. I cant believe they have no shame in sending out products with their name on it that only last 1 1/2 years! I would never treat anyone like they treat their customers. They hold no responsibility. Their name holds no value to me anymore. I was extremely disappointed.

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

Purchased washing machine, with insurance that was offered to me 9/17/10. May 2013, control panel went. June 2013, dial switch went. July 2014 washer motor drive & belt drive had to be replaced. August 2015 is broke again. Will never buy Maytag again.

We bought this brand new washing machine just 6 years ago. Went with a Maytag because they are supposed to “last forever”. Ha! Last weekend it stopped spinning. Water would drain but no spin cycle. Had a recommended repair person come out and he said it was unfixable. The bearings were shot. This is crazy. There are only two of us using this machine how could it be totally unfixable 6 after only 6 years. The average washing machine life is supposed to be 14 years. No more Maytag for us.

We have had Maytag washers in the past, and they always worked well and were reliable. Not so with the Bravos washing machine. It is by far the worst excuse for a washing machine weve ever used. It does NOT clean clothes. It merely ingrains the dirt more into fabric. In four years, we have complained repeatedly to Maytag to try and get some kind of remedy to no avail. Maytag is simply not interested in standing behind their product. So now, after two generations, they have lost us as customers forever and we are telling anyone who will listen; DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER. They are terrible and not what they once were.

Ten years ago I bought a very expensive set of Maytag Neptune Washer MAH5500BWW and dryer units with the single all-in-one pedestal. The washer starts sounding like a freight train during the fast spin dry cycle. A service tech came out, turned it on, listened, told me it is bad outer tub bearings going bad. And the price to fix is $846. Its essentially a throw-it-away deal. The tech says he has done hundreds of these and its a 3-hour major tear down, the bearings are press fitted and you essentially buy a new outer tub instead of replacing the bearings in the old one. Maytag went out of business and was bought by Whirlpool. What a piece of crap and to think how great Maytag once was. Now I have a dryer and a pedestal that probably wont fit any other washer brand.

We purchased a refrigerator in December 2013. It quit working less than 8 months later. The company contracted to repair it made us wait 4 days for service; they did not repair the unit. We are now expected to wait another 4 days for them to return. STAY AWAY from Maytag!!!

Our Maytag dishwasher is a work horse. Never a problem just runs and runs. Could be a little quiet quieter. But does a t great job cleaning. I would definitely buy another one and would recommend it to any one.

Almost 2 years ago this dishwasher wouldnt drain. Fixed that $300. Then just over a year ago control panel had to be replaced. Now control panel was bad again, had to rest circuit to get it to start. I see this is a common problem. Only 2 of us in the house and the dishwasher gets used only 2-3 times a week since we purchased brand new in December 2011. Ordered the new control panel and just went to replace it, guess what. This appliance could have burnt our house down. The wiring in the door that plugs into the control panel is burnt! Not at the panel at all but a good 8 down the wiring harness. Both harnesses as well. Scared me half to death! To think it could have killed us at night, when we usually run this appliance. Definitely calling Maytag now. I do have pictures as well.

My complaint is not against Home Depot but Maytag Products. They are inferior products. Stay away from Maytag! Note: We are in our mid-to late 60s, no kids using these products and they do not get a lot of wear and tear. Maytag Microwave: MMV 4205DS-0, May 29, 2014 we purchased Maytag appliances for our kitchen (stove and microwave from Home Depot). I liked the 10 year metal warranty plate attached to the front limited warranty of the microwave. This means nothing! They cover the stainless cavity of the microwave (a part that will never go bad). June 3, 2014 this microwave was delivered. Thanksgiving, the microwave went out November 30, 2015 this was replaced with GE Profile Model JVM3160RFSS for $178. November 30, 2015, Diamond Factory Service was here for the Microwave. We paid $90 for the service call. They wanted $228.09 to repair (1-8206419 Switch $15.22; 1 W10269460 Switch $27.03; 1 W10727360 Microswitch $27.03 and Labor $155.00). Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749AWM. Purchased from Al race Appliance for $599.95 total with tag etc was $920.27 on 5/16/12. So thankful was purchased the additional warranty for five years. We have had 2 service calls so far for the same issue, which is W10356494 Console CMFF0312434. This is a known problem (it will not start). I wish I would have googled the model before purchase was made. When the warranty expires, this will go to the curb too.Also, purchased Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer from Best Maytag, Rockford. The dryer had problems with the circuit board after a short time. Too expensive to replace. Our family and friends ALWAYS purchased Maytag only. No more! Stay away! We are waiting for the oven to go next. Oh and check out the bottom drawer. There use to be room for pots and pans. No more. Lucky to get your pot holders in there.

Nothing wrong with this dishwasher, a bit noisy, but it gets the dishes clean and thats whats important. This was a builder grade installation and it came with the house so I cant really say its the exact model I would have selected had I been given the opportunity to pick my own.

We purchased this set 6 months ago. The store we purchased it from is unwilling to help us. Maytag insists there is nothing wrong with the washing machine. The machine doesnt clean the clothes. After a wash cycle there is pet fur and lint all over the clothes, even after it comes out of the dryer. The clothes are all twisted in tight knots when the load is done. The washing Machine doesnt dispense enough water to wash. I have taken clothes out of the washer and the items are dry in spots, most times you can smell the mustiness of a dish towel after its been washed.I used the steam clean dryer to fresh in up the curtains and the panels came out different lengths. Not eager to try that feature again. This is our 2nd dryer set purchase, the last set was 10 yrs old. I couldnt find anyone willing to repair it. I was told they dont make machines like they used to and they are all designed to last 10 yrs and you’re lucky if it lasts 15 yrs. Yes, we contacted Maytag and yes, like the many other folks who have shared their stories we also got the run around. Sad to say we are going to do our research and will be looking for a new machine. Im going to shamefully donate the set to a charitable organization and use the receipt as a tax write off. IF you’re doing your research, DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG.

I purchased this machine and after 2 loads it started making a very loud and awful noise. Maytag sent a local service person and he found a screw that had come undone and was in the motor. Since then there are a few strange noises that the machine makes during different cycles, usually involving spinning. Called Maytag and then sent repair person. This young man was non-verbal, was probably 20 and it was impossible to communicate and try to figure this out. Person sat through a full cycle and he said the noises are because the machine is out of balance. Well, why did the sync system not balance at the beginning of the cycle. No answer to that. He reported to Maytag that nothing was wrong with the machine.Machine is still making noises and I cannot wash a small load or it will still be wet at the end of the cycle. I am a widow and live alone. I dont wash large loads. So I called Maytag again. They dont care. Finally they agreed to send another 2nd opinion. I have a lot of videos of the machine making strange noises and the repair kid does not care...lots of blank stares from him. I highly suggest not going with Maytag. They dont back up their products and they leave you with a bad machine. My LG FL was perfect. Never an out of balance load. I could wash a single item with no problem. MAYTAG IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY.

The refrigerator had to have repairs in first year. Maytag was aware of freezer issues and reluctantly finally replaced the parts. I had to argue with repairman because he tried to tell me that the freezer was too full.

I have had nothing but headaches with our washer. We purchased it 4 years ago and after using it for a few months, I took it out because our clothes came out smelly and unclean. Called Maytag and they did nothing. So we went back to a regular washing machine and put this machine in the corner of the basement. I refused to throw away a $1,100.00 machine! So this year our machine quit, so we decided to try using the machine again to save us some money instead of buying another one... Well, that lasted for only a short time. Clothes still smell, came out unclean and just yesterday, the machine stopped rinsing and spinning! This machine has barely been used and its been nothing but trouble. Maytag service just plain sucks. They dont care about their consumers. I will never buy a Maytag again and I always let everyone I know to not buy this type of machine.

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

I would like to say that I am highly dissatisfied with paying $1200 for a refrigerator that only can produce ice once every 12 hours and 90% of the time the over fill lever gets stuck so it will not make more. I would recommend anyone to not buy anything Maytag ever.

I am having the same problem with the sheet of ice forming on the bottom of the freezer and leaking water out every week or so. It is getting very frustrating. After reading all these reviews I am realizing it is a manufacturing flaw and think there should be a recall. We have model MF12269VEQ3.

This dishwasher constantly has an odor. I run the dishwasher every third day (there are only two of us), and no matter how well the dishes are rinsed off, there is an unpleasant smell whenever the door is opened. Even after running the washer, upon opening the door an unpleasant scent still lingers. I compare this washer to the Kenmore I left in my previous home and this brand new one falls short. I would not purchase this dishwasher again. But because this is only a year old, I guess I am stuck with it for a while.

This Maytag bravo washing machine is the worst ever machine I have owned. I bought it new, and shortly after the 1 year warranty expired, I started having problems with it. I had a repairman come out. All he did was take out the trouble shooting guide, press a code, and wait. The machine told him that each function worked. Even though it did not work properly. He hid the trouble shooting guide inside the machine, so I cannot get to it. Now I have so many problems with this machine, that it takes me all day to do 1 load. This thing makes noises that I have never heard from a washing machine in my life. I would never buy another Maytag product, nor do I recommend anyone else to buy one.

All I can say is, Wow. My Maytag washer and dryer have never needed anything in 21 years of service. Purchased in 1997 at Lowes in Chambersburg, PA. Both work and look like new! Both are top of the line units. Would buy again!

This dishwasher has an electronic control panel that is faulty. Within one year of purchase, the control panel shorted out. It was replaced under warranty. Almost exactly a year after that, the same part failed for the same reason. This time, Maytag refused to replace it for free since it was out of warranty. A new control panel would have cost over $250. Disappointed with this Maytag product and their refusal to replace an obviously defective part, I decided to buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. Also, it did not make sense to me to spend that kind of money to replace a part that would continue breaking every year. AVOID Maytag dishwashers with electronic control panels!

Purchased a Maytag Bravos top loading washing machine in Sept. 2015. First time we used it the machine vibrated enough to shake the walls. We thought the balance was off. Called Lowes (installers) and they came out and said it was level. There was something fishy about the grinding type noise it made. Also noticed that in spite of all the noise that the clothes essentially stayed in the same spot while the basket moved. Sometimes the clothes on top never got completely wet or rotated through the wash water. Called Lowes again and they looked at the machine and said it needed replaced. But the 90 time period for replacement had passed. Lowes said it would be repaired. A technician came and replaced the basket, saying it might have been out of round. He left, we used the washing machine and it was worse. He came back an hour later and talked with Whirlpool and they said there might be something wrong with a gear. Hes going to replace the gearbox sometime. Meanwhile we are stuck with a washer that makes a lot of noise, vibrates terribly and doesnt appear to do much washing. If noise equated to cleanliness then it would be fantastic. But had we known about the noise or the many complaints we would never have made this purchase. Whatever happened to Maytag quality? Bet that Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.

We purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Lowes in the summer of 2016. The washer performed so so. Not a great machine. After only two years use, there is only my husband and myself, the transmission went out. The repairman said it would be cheaper to buy a new machine than repair it. Maytags 10-year warranty does not cover the transmission. We replaced the Maytag washer. I cant say anything good about Maytag.

My husband bought a washing machine in August 2019 and now it broke down a month ago. There is a sticker on it that the warranty is 10 years, but this warranty is for the motor and not for everything else. I read on the Internet what kind of error the machine gives me, it turned out to be either the motherboard or the front panel. I did not order the parts myself, called the service, in 5 minutes I had to pay 130 $ to he told me the same thing that I read in Google.... And he said that the repair would cost another 500$ part - 250$ and service fees to replace the front panel or the motherboard. Its ridiculous prices, so I find parts lil cheaper and ordered the motherboard myself, my husband installed it (there is nothing hard to do it) and the machine still gave the same error, I ordered the front panel for 220$ and the machine still gives the same error. Now front panel didnt respond at all, and this brand new panel... So I bet after I will pay to service they will tells me there is something else broken... Maytag??? NEVER AGAIN!So I send all part to the store, save money this way and now I buying a new one, when a year and a half ago I spent 1000$ on Maytag and the service is trying to rob me at the cost of a new machine, and no one gives me a guarantee after the service, I will not have a new one. The way out is possible to read more reviews and take a protective plan for 5 or more years so this is not your problem.

I purchased the Legacy series washer and dryer from Home Depot in 2005. For the first 3 years, the washer worked fine. Since then, it has all been downhill. When I use bleach, I have to run an empty load because for whatever reason, the bleach goes through to the next load which has resulted in a number of ruined clothes. The wash cycle leaves clothes dirty and some even come out partially dry?! The rinse cycle does not always work as more times than not, the fabric softener is still in the dispenser cup. The spin cycle is getting worse with each load. Sometimes I reset the spin cycle as many as three times at which point I hand wring the clothes. This creates a strain on the dryer as I have to run it extra long to dry the clothes. I am more disappointed than I can say. I will never purchase anything Maytag again and I will not purchase from the company who makes Maytag products.

We purchased a bottom freezer refrigerator from the Home Depot in 2013 and I am sorry to say this refrigerator does not deserve any stars. Immediately after the warranty was up our refrigerator started leaking all over the floor. The drain clogged and freezes up on the bottom under the freezer. When it becomes full, it leaks all over my hardwood floor. I have now become a slave to this refrigerator. Each week I have to open the freezer and get down on my hands and knees to break up the ice, scoop it out, toss it in the sink. I have spread the word and I hope anyone who reads this does as well. Never buy a Maytag product because not only do they make defective products, they wont own up to it and recall it.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer 2 years ago and it is the worst washer I have ever used. My clothes are never clean. It is always out of balance and is so slow and takes forever to do a load of laundry. It has started stopping on spin and have to unplug it to get it started back then it sounds like a jet coming in for a landing and has to restart the spin about 3 or 4 times before it ever finishes. I have had the repairman to look at it and says there is not anything wrong with it, but something has to be wrong for it to stop on spin and have to unplug it for 5 mins. in order for it to reset itself and start again.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

My Maytag refrigerator, model number mff2557heb, serial number 10375839gv, was purchased in 5/2005. Two weeks ago, this refrigerator stopped working. I called the Maytag technician and then right away came to my house and find out it is the compressor that needs to be replaced. He told me to search if it is under warranty. I searched in the internet Maytag compressor warranty and I found it and then called the Maytag representative. I told them I have found in their website that compressor of this Maytag is covered for 10 years but labor is not included. Then they asked me to fax it. I faxed the copy on 6/20 and they responded on 6/22. He said they received the copy and he said, Yes, it is covered for 10 years but you will shoulder the labor. So to make the story short, this Maytag representative scheduled Friday, 6/29 for the Maytag technician to fix my refrigerator. My husband did not go to work yesterday, 6/29, Friday, so he will be home for this Maytag tech. Maytag tech came at about 2pm yesterday and when he confirmed that it is the compressor that is the problem, he asked for the warranty paper. And when my husband present the proof, the copy of their warranty coverage that came from the Maytag website, he refused to work with my refrigerator because he said the one in the internet is not valid. It is really upsetting because I faxed the copy of it to them on 6/20/12 and they honored it. Thats why they arranged the technician to come to my house and then my husband did not work for them to work with our refrigerator and then asking me $79 for just saying that it is not covered by the warranty. I even gave them the model number and the serial number of the refrigerator so they can verify if it is covered. He said yes 10 years warranty on the compressor. In fact, two employees that I have spoken to both agreed that it is 10 years coverage except for the supervisor named Rachel. Her employees agreed to 10 years based on the paper that I have faxed them and it came from their website and they dont want to honor it after they sent the technician to my house. Angie from WFCC-PREFERRED APPLIANCE REPAIR had the wiring harness delivered to her personal address and then came out and installed it that same afternoon past 5pm to ensure I had a working stove. She explained what had happened with the parts delivery mixups and also delivered a $100 gift card. Very happy to have my range working and all has turned out well. I am a long time Maytag customer and its great to have all my appliances back.

Maytag Centennial Commercial washer - We purchased this washer approx 4 years ago and have never been satisfied with the job it does. Most loads require a second rinse cycle and then perhaps not a good job on the clothes. We have had it repaired twice as it makes a god awful noise and does not do a wash cycle. I believe the repairman has replaced plastic pulleys both times and now it needs the repair job done again. High efficiency has led to high disappointment. We will be looking at getting an older style agitator model as we know they work! Maytag will have to pay us to buy anymore of their products, not impressed at all.

Maytag Commercial # MVWB765FW0: My husband and I wanted to get rid of our GE front load. It was horrible. Even constant cleaning and leaving the door open all the time, our clothes still smelled like mildew and musty. My hubby wanted an LG and I said no way. As a little girl my mom had an old wringer washer and her first electric washer was a Maytag in the late 50s. She passed away in 2001 and in her lifetime she had 2 electric washing machines both were Maytags. They were so dependable and built to last so naturally I wanted a Maytag. Wrong! I am so disappointed. We purchased it in Sept of 2017 for $695. I was so excited the first time we used it. It was a little noisy, but living in the county and having a well we were glad it was an energy/water saver. The first couple of months it was so refreshing to have clothes that did not smell musty and mildewy. I noticed they were really wrinkled but I still iron anyway so it was not a big deal. However ironing over and over again on some items did not get rid of the wrinkles and the past 2 months I have been going thru lint rollers like crazy and it still does not come off. I have to use a slightly damp lint brush or go over the clothing with packing tape to get the lint off. It is horrible! I dont want my GE back but I dont want this one either! I wish I would have read reviews first and listened to my hubby. I wont ever have another Maytag and when this one goes I will certainly read reviews and go with something more dependable. Unfortunately for now we have wasted the money and it is ruining our clothes! I agree that we should all do the class action. There are just too many of us experiencing the same issues. Maytag should do right by the consumer! We have learned our lesson, review before you buy!

I have never given anything a negative review before, but this, by far, the absolute worst appliance I’ve ever had in my entire life. I bought it because I had an old leaky washer, but I’d take it back in a heartbeat because it could ACTUALLY wash my clothes. We spent a lot of money on this washer because we wanted something really nice that would actually work, but this washer is no better than me throwing my clothes in the sink and turning the water on. I’ve tried every kind of detergent and pretreatment that I could possibly try, and nothing helped because the actual machine don’t do nothing. Shirts come out still coated in mud, and half the load is dry??? Please, save your money, get your washer somewhere else. And I hate to even give this thing 1 star because it ain’t even worth that.

Maytag Frontload washer MHWE300VW12 - I bought the washer and dryer in 2010 through Lowes. In Dec. 2012, it started making a loud sound when it would be in spin cycle. I called for service. When the repairman came out, he said the rear seal/bearing was bad and has gone out. The part and labor cost would be $1,184.36. Come on, are you flipping kidding me? Thats twice what I paid new for the washer. I bought them for the Maytag name. If I would have known it was a Whirlpool, no way I would have gotten them. My mother had a Maytag set that lasted 30 years. That explains why they dont show the commercials with the Maytag repairman that wouldnt have anything to do. Also, when the parts came in, they were Whirlpool parts. What a scam. Just more junk for our landfills.

We loved the YMMV4206 microwave - at first. After the warranty was over, we started having issues where we would put the food in the microwave and try to enter the time, wed get the message to open door and close door. Wed try that and for the next few months it would work. At the 18 month mark, thats all it would do, was tell us to open/close door. We ended up unplugging it and it has been unusable since before Christmas. When I call Maytag and related to the support staff our problem, they were of the attitude that it is out of warranty and we can send someone out to take a look at it - for $130 + HST without even repairing it, that would be to diagnose the problem that we already know, then we would have to wait for them to order the part and come back. Do Not Buy this product.

The design capacity of the dishwasher is not conducive to cleaning a full load. Within 3 months of purchase one of the interior baskets broke. I will never buy another Maytag product again. I was a fool in believing this was a top of the line dishwasher.

I purchased range in January of 2011. I have had the top replaced and still it looks bad. Every time I use a burner, even if boiling water, I need to use the razor scraper to clean the burner. I’m very dissatisfied. We used to say we would buy nothing but Maytag but not anymore. Tell anyone who will listen how much I hate this stove. Oven does not cook properly, burns most everything I bake no matter if I lower the temp and time!

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in February 2012, $700. After a few months, the buttons stopped working and the machine was unresponsive. I called Home Depot and they fixed it under the warranty. This continued to happen every 2-3 months. After a year of dealing with this, the warranty expired and I had to purchase the manufacturer extended warranty with Maytag, $240 for 5-years of coverage. The problem continued, and every few months, the thing would stop working and I would have to call for service - 2 to 4 weeks without a dishwasher waiting for service appointment then parts and another appointment for the repair.Perhaps my machine was just a lemon. I dont think they make that model anymore. Heres the number so that you can avoid a three year headache of a machine, MD87749 AWM2. I will say that after MANY agonizing phone calls with warranty company, after 2 years of ongoing service calls, they eventually issued me a check to replace my lemon.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in January 2009. We did not begin using it until perhaps March of 2009, so just over 2 years ago. It gets ran maybe 1 to 2 times per week. I went to turn it on a day ago and the right side of the control panel, where you press the start button, does not work. When I checked Maytags website, I discovered there was a recall due to the heating element. So, I had the repair technician out and he told me that the control panel was bad and it would cost $300 for parts and labor to repair. We paid $600 for this dishwasher. Of course, we have the option of purchasing a new dishwasher and receive a rebate but that ends up being more than just ordering parts and replacing them ourselves, but something only 2 years old should not break. From reading all the other complaints on this forum, I am surprised that Maytag has not done something about the control panel and the humidity issue which seems to cause the control panel to go out. This is an expensive fix which Maytag needs to address. Come on Maytag!

I purchased a floor model Maytag Dishwasher from Abt electronics about a year and a half ago. 2 months ago, various light started flashing. Somehow I managed to get it going. Some blogs reported it might be a drainage problem. Others suggested pressing a certain sequence of buttons. After Each time I got it to work, it became harder the next. I bought Maytag because my old dishwasher lasted 13 years. What is interesting is that a company whose name Ive forgotten sent me bimonthly requests to purchase a warranty from them. Now they have stopped. I am a single mom of 3 with an unemployed ex. I work and support my family without any assistance. I count every penny. I cannot afford repairs nor a replacement now or any time soon. This is a travesty.My door says 10-year limited warranty and the delineates stainless steel tub and racks and chopper blade, but not the panel. I do not understand how Maytags denial of the problem and their unwillingness to correct the problem can improve their image. I will never purchase from Maytag or its associated companies ever again. What a scam! To be honest though, I have not contacted the company since it is not under warranty and all the blogs have relayed the same message: Maytag denies there is a problem.

We purchased a gas range and over the range Maytag microwave a few years back and have had problem after problem with the microwave. Weve had 3-4, maybe more, repairman here and they replaced pretty much everything. Its been going for about a couple years now without a service call, but it went out again today. Very frustrating when you spend good money on junk. We are now to the point that we either replace it with another brand or we just put in a hood and have a microwave on the counter. Just so frustrating. I would not recommend Maytag over the range microwave to anyone!

We have had 2 Maytag dishwashers only last less than 2 years. Since we can only have a portable because of owning an older home the expense is too much anymore. We also had a Maytag Neptune clothes washer last only 2 1/2 years. We had always respected Maytag and trusted them. That trust is gone. It is too expensive to buy and lose them after barely 1 1/2 years. We had a Kenmore that lasted 23 years. I dont know what company to trust anymore. MER8700DH - Within 6 months, left rear burner stopped working and Maytag repaired it under warranty. Within next 6 months, and just before end of warranty, right front burner stopped working and again Maytag covered it under warranty. Within the second year of ownership, the oven was not working correctly and Maytag refused to cover it because it was off warranty. So I called a local appliance repair company who gave me an estimate of over $300 to repair it and basically advised against repair stating that this stove was a piece of junk. So I replaced it with a GE and junked the old one before it was even two years old. I filed a complaint with Maytag. At first they said they would go half on the labor, but then they said I should have bought the extended warranty and refused all further help.

Series 200 dishwasher wont start. Just over 1 year old. Control panel needs replacing which I found out, is a constant problem and a design flaw. Called Maytag and they would only offer 25% off new part. Why would I do that when it is just going to go bad again?

My husband and I purchased our Bravo washer and dryer from Home Depot about 5 years ago. They have been the worst ever. Clothes always tear and we continue to receive an F1 error every time we try to wash something. I dont have the money to buy a new one, but I sure wish I did. I will never buy a Maytag anything ever!

We bought a Maytag Centennial Washer in 2011. 6 months ago the control board went bad. Maytag has an exorbitant replacement price! I went to Ebay and bought a NEW board for 1/7th of the price Maytag wanted. The old board was marked revision B. The new board is revision F! That indicates to me that the board was defective when it was new and they have made 5 attempts since then to fix it! No recalls however. Now the motor is shot. I found out the motor from Australia is also inferior! So this 5 year 3 month old POS Maytag is going to the dump! We will shop for something made outside the US. No not a Samsung. I think there should be a class action suit against Maytag.

Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. Original owner of $800 HE top loader washer since 2010. We heard a grinding noise for months, then finally it seized up. Repairman quoted me $300 to replace bearings. The repair guy seemed a bit too eager for the job, so I knew it must have been easier than expected. I Googled the heck out of it, and used this forum heavily for guidance. Seems the bearing failure is a pattern issue. It also seemed ridiculously involved and no one had posted a how to video matching my model’s layout. I took a peek with my own eyes and noticed a sock had gotten under the basket. The sock got caught in the drive belt and knocked everything loose. I removed the debris, tightened the pulley and everything worked. Cost me $0 to fix myself. So buyers beware before repair. And check the error codes yourself when in doubt! The first thing I did was check error codes. Found a great video here **.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator Model # MBF 2254HEW, Serial # 14560744NG. It worked for 7 years and now its dead. Well it does blow warm air. We are told it cost so much to fix one that we would be better off to buy new. I bought an extended warranty but of course all is out of warranty and Maytag is sorry for the inconvenience and that parts do fail. I am going back to using the old style refrigerators that last rather than paying an enormous amount of money to buy something new and looks nice but will only last a few years. When is a recall in order? When are companies required to do better for the customer? We are told that the compressor might be OK but it could be low on coolant but it is very difficult to find a leak.

My grandmother got a Maytag Bravos XL MVWB755 washer and from day 1 she had to call Maytag with issues due to residue left on the clothes. They told her to not use this setting... buy this detergent... only use cold water etc. Never did they offer a repair guy to come out. A year passes still having issues shes out of warranty. They now offer a repair guy but claim theyre going to charge her $90. Once she explains to them that she was never offered a repair guy & they shouldve done this before. They decided to waive this fee and send a repair guy. Once the technician comes out to the house they do absolutely nothing and they fill it up with water say we need to clean it and Ill come back out and do another diagnostic. When they come back all they do is fill it up with water get a glass check the water and say, Nope, no floating residue. Everythings fine. They then tell her she needs to get a water softener which is going to be hundreds of dollars.The technician also says do not use any other settings except for these two. Can someone please explain to me why they have all these dang buttons and settings if were not supposed to be using any of them and why all of the clothes come out with soap residue scummy residue all over them? The old washer never did this. It was a Kenmore and its the same water same everything but this Maytag washer is been nothing but problems. It leaves the residue which is stripped all over dark and white clothes, it is extremely loud, not all the clothes even get wet! Maytag is been extremely uncooperative with assisting my Nana. They tell her no one else not one other person is having this problem but when I look up this issue I find that about 2500 people on this forum are having very similar problems. Something has to be done. Maytag should have to take responsibility for this washer. The bottom line is it supposed to be an XL. When my grandparents are washing its only for two people. Theyre not even filling that washer up of all of the clothes are not even getting wet. It just goes to show you that the energy-efficiency that they claim is not working. The washers not getting enough water inside of it. Its not fully rinsing the clothes and no one should have to put the clothes in wash them then do a whole another rinse cycle just to get the dang soap off. So basically at this point she stuck having to do multiple washes using way more utilities than she should have to and Maytag is basically going to do nothing. It wont help her over the phone the technician is a joke and it looks like so many of you people are having the same issues.

Maytag Centennial Washer - If a wash load becomes off balanced, the machine stops. No signal or buzzer or anything to alert me to this. It happens all the time and wastes a lot of my time. Here I am thinking that the wash is going fine only to find out 2 hours later that it has stopped. Anytime I wash more than 3 items, this happens. I will never buy one again and I am telling everyone not to buy. I will be purchasing a good old fashion washer with a dial gauge so I can spin it any time I needed.

Since the day I bought the Maytag Bravos XL washer it never worked correctly. An entire year of several repair men, which half said there was something wrong and other half said nothing was wrong with it. Now it sits in my garage as the most expensive paperweight. After repeated requests, the Whirlpool company that owns Maytag now refuses to stand by their product, replace it, refund it or anything at all. They have washed their hands, yet I cannot wash my clothes in it!

I bought a Maytag Bravos top loader washer and dryer less than 2 years ago. I started having problems with my dryer 3 months ago and after several service calls (and a few hundred dollars), it still does not dry our clothes. I spent over $1500 for the pair and was excited to have a top end washer and dryer. My biggest complaint is with the manufacturer, Maytag - they just dont seem to care. I did not buy the extended warranty for two reasons. First, I bought a nice unit and expect it to work properly for a reasonable amount of time (at least 4-5 years without any problems). Second, they are just a bad purchase and they cost about half of the unit and if you buy a nice unit, you shouldnt need one. I could have bought a new dryer for what I spent to try and have this one work properly. My wife and I spent $600 for our last set which lasted 7 years without a problem; they were manufactured by GE, which I now wish I would have bought another GE. My wife talked me into buying a new pair to accommodate the needs of our growing family. I wished I would have kept the GE pair that was working.I would not recommend any Maytag appliance: they really just dont care to provide any reasonable service to stand behind their products. What a shame. This reminds me of why many foreign manufacturers are beating us at what we used to do best - make products that last and work! The washer and dryer look nice and have many great features, but these dont matter much if they dont work.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer that has gotten to where every time you try to run the final spin, you get an unbalanced load code and it shuts off - it does this even when you try running it empty. This washer is 3 years old, and has been doing this progressively worse for the last 4 months until now. We cannot even get it run the final spin cycle now.

I use a late model Maytag front loader. It does a great job cleaning and uses very little soap and water. To date I have NOT had to call the repairman to work on it. All in all I am VERY satisfied.

I bought a new Maytag dryer model # MEDC555DW2 18 months ago. Prior I had owned a Whirlpool for 22 years and the only expense on maintenance was that I replaced 3 belts. This new Maytag started making a terrible noise so I called the store where I bought and they sent out a tech. $76.77 they charged me to...remove a penny from where it got lodged in the edge of the drum somehow. Maytag refuses to do anything about it and I feel like Ive gotten the shaft because I bought an inferior product. In 22 years Id guess I dried on accident over 100 dollars in change since I have kids. Should have bought a Whirlpool again and so should you. Ill never buy another Maytag product. Ever.

We are a family of three. We purchased our Washer and Dryer New, November 2011 at Lowes, in Lindale TX. I am disabled. I have had several spine surgeries and getting ready for another. I was injured at work and it left me crippled. I do not receive any benefits from my County Employer. My wife is a schoolteacher. We live on a limited income after my accident. We purchased this set with utmost confidence, our last set was twenty years old. We updated due to water, electric, and the environment. Our Maytags we had were still usable, it was just time for their retirement. They were hand me downs washer and dryer set. Truly! I dont know how old they were. When our washer started having troubles, it was making a horrible noise. We called Hughes Appliance. Theyre an authorized Maytag Repair Service Warranty Center. They sent Mark out we used them before. He stated the motor was not loctited from the factory. It worked its way loose almost coming completely off. This cost me a $85 service call. Mark also stated that the Tub Bearings were going out because off this. He called Maytag Customer Service and Dealer Warranty Service, said they wouldnt pay for the repairs or even the Service call for their factorys snotty WorkmanShip. I tried calling myself and got absolutely nowhere. I was polite, courteous and nice and they still Said, Sorry, We Know its less than three years old but thats the way it is. Sorry Sir! Have Nice Day! Its going to cost $389 to replace the tub bearings in top load washer. The washer only cost about 750 less than three years ago. Its the most expensive clothes washer Ive ever owned. One thing! If they dont make things right, I promise I will never own a Maytag again! And when I am in a store and see someone looking at their product I will make a point to tell them my situation and about my Maytag Washer. One thing is certain I can make sure young customer dont buy the wrong appliances while I sit patiently in my wheelchair waiting on my wife. Thanks Maytag! Its not What You Did For Me! Code F51 showed up and my appliance repair man immediately said, I see this problem with the Maytag Bravos all the time. Its a control board and motor problem. He gave me a number to call to see if I could receive help through Maytag (Whirlpool), because its a major fix. He also thought that there might be a recall by now since there have been so many problems, but no. The Maytag customer rep was of no help. So disappointed in Maytag and the Bravos Washer. I will never buy another Maytag again!

We purchased this oven (MGR5775QDS ) along with a Refrigerator/Freezer, Dishwasher and Microwave on 2007 when we remodeled our kitchen. Since then the Refrigerator had to be serviced twice, the Dishwasher had a recall for fire safety - repaired, but I still have a scorched bottom tray, and the oven after self cleaning once has warped and the racks will not hold anything with any weight without collapsing. Maytag sent me new racks about a year ago, but that didnt help. I grill most of my meals or cook on the stovetop but on the rare occasion we try and use the oven it’s a nightmare. We lost a Thanksgiving Turkey and Easter Ham and recently a lasagna and a glass pan. Every time we have one of these events I search the internet in hopes that there has been some kind of recall on this model. It’s not safe. When the 20 lb turkey came crashing down, my wife was nearly burned by the juices that splattered and the house filled up with smoke. Happy Thanksgiving from Maytag - everyone go stand outside in the cold for 1/2 an hour while we clear out the smoke in the house. Recently when the rack collapsed and hot lasagna came crashing down, the glass/pyrex tray broke and left a huge bubbly mess in the bottom of the oven. Yay Maytag, thanks again - ruined a dinner, broke a dish and since we can’t use the self clean option, spent the rest of the evening scrubbing out the oven... and eating takeout food on Valentine’s Day. Sounds like the perfect Romantic evening right? I am so sickened with this company. We purchased all Maytag appliances because of their reputation. But now they dont even stand behind their products. What a shame.

Maytag has always been my favorite lasts forever no problems at all till something perforated the pump but was fixed promptly. I had my maytag till I moved and left it with my son so I do not have it now but I'd buy another maytag as long as it's not one of those water savers. Do not like those because it doesn't use enough water to rinse out the soap properly like the older original machines. Maytag is strong, durable and worth every penny. If I was buying another washer It would definitely be a maytag. They wash clothes thoroughly. Of all household appliances if have to have a maytag washing machine and my favorite vacuum cleaner. Maytag washing machines are by far a ten next everything else I've tried.

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

The Maytag Bravo is a big waste of money. Get a less expensive machine. You will have no problems and save money. This is my experience: SETTINGSYou cannot control the settings completely. Every setting is preset. For example, if you choose the Bulky setting, you cannot choose the water save spray rinse. Those two cannot be selected together. Certain settings can only be selected with certain temperatures. This will however be the least of your problems. WASHINGIt does not get clothes clean. I have had instances of items coming out with still stuff stuck to them, not just stains, but actual solid material stuck to it. My cat threw up in his bed and when I got it out, it still had small pieces of vomit stuck to it. I have always only used the Bulky setting which fills up the whole drum, so there is sufficient water to wash. I cannot imagine what it would be like if I used the Normal setting. Many times I had to wash thing twice. If you use the normal setting, you will get hardly any water. It will be a moist bundle of clothes moving like a big lump. You need water and some degree of friction to eliminate the dirt. SPINNINGIt is constantly stopping, beeping and showing me the UL sign (uneven load). You have to unravel the items and reposition them Around the drum. If you are an old lady like me, this is a real chore because the items are now soaking wet and very heavy. Also, because there is no agitator, the items come out in knots (tied to one another) and you have to separate them. DURABILITYThe lid is loose. It looks like it may be missing a screw on one side. It still locks, but it moves sideways when you close it and open it. BOTTOM LINEThe whole thing is a disaster. Get an old fashion type. It will work better and you can save your money. I honestly think there should be a class action suit against Maytag.

All in all I have liked my electric range, but I have 2 issues that I am having trouble resolving. I bought the range in 2003 and to find the model number I have to pull the range out from the cupboards on each side which would be extremely difficult under the circumstances. The reason I want to get the model number is so that I might find replacement parts for the doors edging that has flaked and rusted and is quite unattractive.

Food stored next to the ice dispenser freezes. Freezer floor builds up with 1 1/2 to 2 of ice every couple of weeks, door wont close and water leaks on floor.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in 2008. Within a year, the hinges that held the door open on the top load washer broke. In year 2, the area around the fabric softener dispenser rusted so badly that it almost completely ate the porcelain enamel away. In year 4, it started making a noise that I will compare to a jet on takeoff during the rinse cycles. It continued to work but got louder and louder. We looked into the cost of the repair, which was going to be $350 parts + labor. If it had been a good machine, we might have considered fixing it but it wasnt. Even a set of sheets could put it off balance, which stopped the machine with the wash cycle incomplete. It also set its own water level based on the weight of the clothes and many times the top items came out with dry spots that hadnt even been submerged throughout the whole cycle. Consequently, the clothes were never very clean and I would have to rewash many loads. This machine was not cheap - around $1,000. I was so frustrated and felt completely taken by the Whirlpool company again. We have had many unhappy situations with their products over the years - Kitchenaid, Jenn-Air and Maytag. We finally learned our lesson and researched washers online. The best rated that we could find was Speed Queen. We couldnt find it in Canada, so my husband drove 5 hours round trip to the US and bought one. We have had it 4 months now and the difference is unbelievable. Our clothes are clean again. I can set my own water level and the hot cycle actually gives you hot water. It never goes off balance no matter how many or few clothes it has. If I see that I need more water part way through a cycle, it has a button that lets you add some part way through. It doesnt have a lot of bells and whistles. Its a basic but excellent machine that is a pleasure to use. I would recommend it highly. I realize it has only been a short time, but my Maytag never performed like this machine even from day one. It reminds me of my very first washing machine many years ago, an Inglis, which never had a repair in 15 years of use. If our dryer goes, we will definitely buy Speed Queen. The trip is well worth it.

We purchased our washer and dryer set in December of 2010 and had it for about 2 years with the extended warranty...needless to say around 1 1/2 - 2 years the metal around our bleach dispenser started rusting. Maytag considers this cosmetic! I am shocked to think that its cosmetic...on the outside of the washer yes, but on the inside no! It is faulty on Maytags part. I have spoken with Maytag and they tell me if it doesnt happen within the first 30 days there is nothing they can do. So I will tell anyone and everyone what was said to me via Maytags own repairman, Buy cheaper washers as NO ONE offers an extended warranty on the inside of the washer rusting. Whirlpool is the owner of Maytag now so beware of Whirlpool as well. Check out the warranties and make sure you will be covered longer than 30 days for rusting on any washer you intend on purchasing. We learned the hard way and well....we will be buying a cheap washer like the repairman suggested when this one goes out.

We purchased our Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 2006. Months after our purchase, we tried every HE detergent we could find to see if our towels would smell fresh. Nothing we have tried has worked. I just went to Maytags web site. I found out there was a recall on this washing machine due to the mold on the door gasket. Why didnt they send me a recall notice so this could be corrected with a refund or something?

I just bought my first home and after well over 20 years of apartment living and not having my own washer & dryer I was so excited to finally be able to buy one! I decided on the Maytag/Bravos and even spent the extra $100 for the glass top. The high efficiency machine was delivered on August 8, 2016. My kids are grown so its just me; I do one load a week give or take. A week or so ago, I noticed the washer was taking an inordinate amount of time to go from sensing to washing and even longer to get into the washing cycle. This past weekend, it didnt work at all. Just sat for hours with the sensing and washing lights on, without actually washing the clothes. The machine was packed loosely with the correct amount of High Efficiency Detergent in the proper place. I called the #Sears store I purchased the appliance from (Braintree Ma.) and they said there was nothing they could do as it was past 30 days, gave me their customer solutions number which is basically a call center with people who I could barely hear and/or understand. They in turn gave me more phone numbers which seemed to me to be in the same call center. I want to return the 4 month old washing machine that doesnt work and I want my money back. Ive filed a report with the Massachusetts Attorney General Consumer Affairs Department. I will NEVER AGAIN shop at #Sears and I will NEVER AGAIN purchase a #Maytag appliance. I am beyond disappointed in #Sears and #Maytag, both names that used to mean quality and customer service. And if theres a class action lawsuit to be filed, please count me in.

We purchased this washer 3/25/15 for $873.77, we also got the matching dryer, for the same amount. This washer, never washed good, it is simply a bad design, I dont know, what type of mind altering products the designer was on at the time, but it must of been some good stuff, since all brands jumped on the wagon. This is a POS, I have contacted Maytag, and they just ignore me. We need a class action lawsuit against them, they think they can take our money, and laugh at us.

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

I wish that I had looked up reviews before purchasing my washer 6 months ago! No matter which setting I use, the washer never fills up with enough water!! I have pulled clothes out that havent even gotten wet, due to not enough water in machine! All due to the government regulated water levels on the sensors!!!! So, I had my plumber put in hot and cold water faucets, then he put a short Y hose on, so this way I can add water to the machine.... The only thing is, you have to wait for the machine to fill with what it thinks is enough water to get your load clean.... stop the washer, then add the water you need. But if it reaches a certain point, it will automatically start draining. So you have to watch and make sure you stop adding the water, before reaching that point!

Im writing in reference to Model # MF12569YEM2. Bought this 3 years ago for close to 3k. Since then it forms a sheet of ice under the bottom freezer and leaks water onto the floor. It has ruined my hardwood floor and leaked through the floor to my basement and now need to re-sheetrock the ceiling. Its a bad design and should have been recalled because I see everyone else with this model is having the same issue.

First bought a nice looking Samsung. Didn’t last 6 months. Upgraded to a nice Maytag with steam and have never regretted it. It’s been years of worry free and trouble free use. My Samsung dryer is on the way out the door and to be replaced with a Maytag too.

Purchased Maytag Model MVWB865GW0 Ser# **, had it ONE year, circuit board and switch have gone bad, will not turn to change the type of wash cycle and the lid will not lock, which makes the washing machine not start to wash. Contacted Maytag to request a service call, per the service team the circuit board will cost $300, plus a switch $75 and Labor $100 plus tax. We will be better off buying a new washing machine! We should not have this high cost within ONE year of purchasing! Will not purchase a Maytag again!

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer 3 months ago. The Bravo XL is simply a piece of crap. No agitation and clothes come out as dirty as they went in. It also leaves soap stains on all the clothes by since it doesnt agitate enough. Nothing is wrong with the unit, just a horrible engineering piece of crap. Ive been in manufacturing for 30 years and cant even imagine how a company like this can design, test and still sell such a piece of crap. You put a shirt on the top of the load when starting and its still there at the end of all the cycles. Just absolutely horrible. Do NOT purchase any washer without the old time center agitator post. Horrible....

Ive had my washer and dryer since 2007. We purchased a new vacation home and it was included. I used the HD washing machines at my daughters, though hers was a front loader from a different company. Im unhappy with mine. Would not purchase one again. I find my clothes arent clean and my kitchen clothes and towels always have a residue on them. I now wash everything on warm, use the proper amount of soap and have to do heavy load cycle. Im still not happy, but it beats buying a new one.

On 11-10-10 I purchased a top of the line Maytag fridge. All had been great till we needed a part in Nov. of 2014! After nearly 3 months of searching they tell us that they no longer make parts for this unit and I am out of luck! Fridge works great but the center seal is broken (french door - Mullin) they quit making the part???? I am beyond angry! Will never buy Maytag again!!!

I, too, have had major problems with this Maytag refrigerator! We have experienced everything from a malfunctioning ice maker, flashing control panel, overloaded compressor, erratic freezer (freezes much of the fridge contents), and doors not staying closed/inadvertently popping open. We have owned this fridge since 2007 and have repaired the ice maker and the freezing problems on our own dime. When the clicking sound woke the entire house up at 5 am, I finally decided to post! I realize that appliances are not perfect, and that Maytag had the best of intentions when designing and producing this product, but what really infuriates me is that Maytag has known about this widespread inherent problem since late 2006! Why no recall? Why no notice? Why no assistance? When I called the customer service line this morning, the representative acted like shed never even heard of this fridge having problems - yeah, right. All you have to do is Google the model number or just Maytag fridge panel flashing and clicking problem to discover thousands of similar complaints. I do not fault Maytag for manufacturing a less than perfect appliance, but I do hold them accountable for adequately repairing/replacing such a rampant and unsafe (compressor overload) product! Maybe it is time for a class action. Something needs to be done to protect the consumer from a company that is so slow to correct a long-standing and potentially dangerous problem!

Im really happy with my range. The only drawback is that the upper oven/broiler is a little on the small side. The five burners on top are convenient for when I am cooking a large family meal on weekends and holidays.

We have had our side by side Kenmore for years and it hasnt let us down! We eat mostly fresh food since we cook a lot and we always have plenty of space for our food. We are only a family of 2 though. They say the ice maker is the first to fail and it has not given us any issues for nearly 10 years now! Love Kenmore!

Bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot about 2 years ago. Like everyone else we are having leaking problems from the freezer drawers. I wonder if anyone has had it repaired and whether it was repaired

My $1,500 Maytag double oven Gemini has been trouble from the get go. 1st, trying to broil something cannot be adjusted. It sits 3 to 4 from the fire & there is no 2nd shelf. The control knobs sit on top of the stove & its easy to burn them when cooking. The broiler has always smelled like its leaking gas. Plus, the bottom oven stopped working & we had to get it repaired. The last straw was when the control board went out. We arent even going to try to repair, just going to buy a new stove. No Maytag!

Does not clean properly! Water level is too low for clothes to move around properly. This appears to be a very poorly engineered product. We have had Maytag products for many years. The only good thing I can say about this product is that it beats a scrub board. Would not recommend Maytag product to anyone. Looking at other complaints it appears that Maytag is doing nothing about this. Will try to sell this at a yard sale and hope no one asks my opinion. Then go buy something that works.

Top loader Maytag Bravos type 588-03 - This washer is extremely slow and does a very poor job of cleaning. I use the recommended detergent (I use Tide HE) and follow the directions being careful not to overload. I can tolerate the slow operation I guess, but the poor cleaning is a real problem. When I put a plastic shower curtain in it, no clean happens. I just throw them out and but new every time. I will definitely go back to a Kenmore with an agitator.

The microwave is 5 years 6 months since purchase model MMV4203DS. Fire started at rack clip left front rack, was cooking bacon. Called Maytag and according to them and manual on page 3 is only for 2-level cooking to avoid damage to microwave oven. DOES NOT SAY WILL CATCH FIRE OR THE RACK CAUSES SPARKS AND BACON SHOULD NOT BE COOKED IN A MAYTAG MICROWAVE. But according to Representatives of MAYTAG ** its my fault for not reading my manual. YES AND NOT HAVING THE SERIAL NUMBER THAT IS ON A PAPER TAG IN THE WHIP ZONE. The was gone from keeping it clean faded out. So I cannot be helped without the model and serial number.

I purchased a Maytag self-cleaning stove in early 2009. Right away, the oven floor finish started to bubble up. I called Maytag service and was told the part wasnt covered. I let it go since it wasnt interfering with the function of the oven. However, in Feb 2012, the oven started turning off in temps above 350. I called Maytag service again and was told that since I didnt purchase an extended warranty, I would have to pay for the service call, parts and labor. I complained that I never expected their product to break down in less than three years.I had a private oven service look at it and was told the computer part was the problem and would cost almost $300 to replace; or I could just live with an oven that didnt go above 350 and buy a new one when it broke completely. You can be sure I will never, never purchase another Maytag product or any other product they involved with like Whirlpool. I am done with them and their inferior workmanship.

Just read Ann of Colorados (posting April of 2014) message about her Maytag Bravo washing machine and its like I wrote it myself! Our Bravo started with making a loud noise during the spin cycle which turned into oil or a dark liquid spraying out from under the machine, along with saying UL, so I would adjust the load and get it going again only for it to start the spin and rinse cycle all over too! We have 5 people in our family and cannot afford to not have a working machine. We purchased this machine only a few years back to replace another product that was also a piece of junk. I guess as a last resort I will try a Spin Queen which is American made and hopefully will work! Very disappointed in Maytag. Whatever happened to Machines lasting like they did for our Grandparents?

We have had our Maytag dishwasher for more than two years. Heres how it stacks up: Energy Star rated-Yes; Noise-Almost inaudible except when water runs; Length of Cycles-long except for quick wash 59 minutes; Interior design and loading - 10 out of 10. This is the easiest dishwasher to load and it holds an enormous amount of dishes of all sizes and shapes. Adjustable and removable racks-Yes both. Everything fits including my barbecue and oven racks! Amazing. Stainless interior-Yes including silverware rack. Cleaning- 10 out of 10. Even on a quick wash (59 min) cycle this dishwasher cleans everything! I run a longer cycle just to sanitize if we have sickness in the house. Otherwise it is 59 minutes to finish. Drying-Like most dishwashers this one is only so-so in the drying department, especially on the short cycle. Without plastic containers or utensils the machine dries more completely. However, the amount of moisture remaining after a quick or regular cycle is minimal. The water tends to pool on bottoms of glasses and plastics mostly. Easy to dry by laying a cloth across top rack. Dries in just a few minutes.My only suggestion to Maytag is to work on drying technology to make the machines more efficient and effective. However, that being said, I wouldnt trade this machine for any other. It has every feature I love and a 10-year warranty on parts as well! My machine cost around $600.00. It was neither the top nor the bottom of the line.

Maytag top load 300 series washer - This is the worst washer I have owned! It does not wash items- especially sheets - without getting totally tangled up and twisted! I wish I had my old one back that lasted 20+ years. I will NEVER buy another.

I purchase a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot on 12/31/11. Based on the their commercials, I thought they were dependable. I did purchase an extended warranty, as I always do with any new appliance. After 2 years, the dishwasher stop working. I contact Home Depot and the extended warranty and was told to contact the manufacturer. Maytag blamed the extended warranty for the problem. They told me they could not help me. And could not help me. I will never ever buy any appliances from Maytag again. This model is M936/110V cord.

Purchased our Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 about 5 years ago and came to this site to read about other washing machine complaints because I am looking for a new washer. Was SHOCKED to hear so many similar complaints to mine (our local appliance store who sold us this unit, as well as services it, said this was unusual). Tiny holes in all our clothes! Black marks on clothes! Dirty clothes! LOUD & BUMPY washing - will sometimes walk itself around the laundry room, slamming into wash sink & dryer (there are dents to prove the violence). UL light that stops the machine & cant be resolved even after I untangle & lift water-soaked items. Finally started seeing black marks splattering out from under machine & was told the bearing is bad and the case (?) is leaking? ... Anyway, result to repair is MORE THAN ITS WORTH.Also have a 3 year old Maytag Quiet Series 300 DISHWASHER, that does not clean well, sometimes leaves half the dishes untouched (dry & dirty), grinds food waste & redistributes onto dishes before baking it on tight (requires soaking to loosen, then wash by hand) ... Oh, and is NOT quiet! I was told I probably use TOO MUCH SOAP. Seriously?!? My complaint is NOT soap residue ... It is D.I.R.T. How can you run a load and still have sauce & ketchup that dripped onto the inside of the door when loading the dishwasher STILL on the inside of the door??? Darn thing cant even clean itself!

I just saw that there had been a class action lawsuit settled in 2005 for the Maytag Neptune front load washer and I was never notified as an owner! I have this crummy product and have been living with it for more than 10 years! I just scheduled a repairman to replace the moldy gasket (for the second time) and the noisy pump, and a latch that has to be slammed for a sum of $438. What a crock. I was told this was a top of the line model when I purchased it for $999. Ive never had such a piece of junk before in my life. I run loads of bleach weekly to control the mildew.

We bought the Maytag set of dryer and washer just over 5 years ago with ex. war. The dryer now doesnt heat up but the drum does turn. To fix it would cost about $500 maybe more and the parts may only last a few months. I believe that dryer should last longer when only used about once a week. I am now looking at Speed Queen. Cost more but am told they last longer.

In 2009, we purchased $5,041 worth of Maytag appliances. Three years later, we have had issues with every appliance except the dryer. The washer needed a new motor and circuit board in February 2011. The oven light came on and stayed on because the switch malfunctioned in June 2011. The ice maker in the bottom drawer sprung a leak in February of 2012 and today, the over-the-range microwave stopped working without any sputters or warnings. While I was investigating the possible reasons for my microwaves demise (Im concluding that it is poor craftsmanship!), I found that my dishwasher is on recall. I did not have any problems with that and it is the one appliance that could have started a fire! Maytag appliances will not be bought again by me or anyone I know. They are a huge disappointment and waste of my money!
