We just purchased a house with new appliances. They are Maytag. When I use my stove the oven heats. I have no idea why. I wondered if anyone else has had this problem. When I turn it off it turned off but it turns back on when the oven is on.

I, too, have had a lousy experience with this washer – it does not correctly sense the amount of clothing in the load, and often fails to get everything wet. Once the cycle starts, it does not necessarily pull everything into the water. You must ball each item up around the center or have sleeves and legs of clothing end up very twisted. Clothing is often very wrinkled and I do not feel that enough water is used to achieve clean clothes. I did get a good response from Maytag, who sent a repairman free of charge after the one year warranty period. He was very gruff and condescending – implying that I am buying the wrong kind of clothing. He reset the washer which improved the water levels, but now it is back to its old tricks. Hate, hate, hate this washer. Now it is failing to start unless lid is slammed shut! May get a new one in a black Friday deal, but have to figure out how to ditch this one while retaining my integrity/honesty to buyer.

Bravos washer, a year old machine, needs new main electronics board $220.00 plus $125.00 labor to install. Repair guy said humidity makes them go out. Go figure a part sensitive to dampness on a wash machine. Why don’t they seal it better? By the way, this machine does not wash, worth a crap. I am getting something new.

While washing clothes in my Maytag front load washer, I noticed that there was water leaking from the front left corner from the bottom. I have owned the washer for only 2 years, and Maytag manufacturer (Whirlpool) told me that it was going to initially cost $80.00 for a service call and then more money to fix the leak. WOW. Also the wood floors that are underneath the washer and dryer, is starting to warp from the leaking washer. I would recommend DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG APPLIANCE. The warranty is basically worthless along with the washer.

I purchased a Quiet Series 300 E71195 dishwasher in 2011. Its about 3.5 yrs old. I guess misery loves company because like so many other complaints on this site my control board died, and Maytag, while saying they care about customer satisfaction, basically said tough luck pal, youre on your own. Sadly I own 3 other newish Maytag appliances. When will these appliances die without support from Maytag? Im not holding my breath. My next step is to complain to the dept of Consumer Affairs and create a page about nefarious Maytag on social media. Avoid the Maytag brand when shopping for appliances. I know I will.

We have had Maytag washers in the past, and they always worked well and were reliable. Not so with the Bravos washing machine. It is by far the worst excuse for a washing machine weve ever used. It does NOT clean clothes. It merely ingrains the dirt more into fabric. In four years, we have complained repeatedly to Maytag to try and get some kind of remedy to no avail. Maytag is simply not interested in standing behind their product. So now, after two generations, they have lost us as customers forever and we are telling anyone who will listen; DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER. They are terrible and not what they once were.

I have had my Maytag set for shy of 2 full years, of actual usage time, that is. My dryer seems to be functioning normally, minus an occasional lengthy cycle time, even after the clothes are dry. The washer however, is sitting in my garage now. F51 error code, which online told me the rotary position sensor was the issue. Yes, I was told by an A&E repairman, who was at the house for an unrelated repair, that it was the bearing that was bad. When he showed me what I was looking for, there was the bearing laying in the clear plastic housing, in the underside of the washer. Its going to cost around $350.00 to get the part, if it can be found, and the service call. No, not really worth wasting more money on it. I am very unsatisfied with this unit. With 4 kids and 2 adults at home, I expected much more from the Maytag name.

My washer (Performance Series 4000) needed new bearings about 6 months after purchase. By the time the parts came in and after the A&E repairman rescheduled because he didnt know how to replace them, another two months had passed. Now, a year later and with no more warranty, the bearing needs replacing again! This washer is only 1 year 8 months old! The first repair cost well over $1,500 but was covered under warranty. There are hundreds of other people with Maytag washers having the same issues! Maytag is well aware of the defect and refuses to take responsibility. I would like to file a class action lawsuit against Maytag. Im in Tennessee. Please contact me. Thank you.

Went from an old simple Maytag to newer model, but still somewhat basic compared to others. However still getting used to the water saver feature in that getting in the right amount of detergent as not to have it set on my clothes and having to put through another rinse cycle and a more slimmer agitator. But do like the Maytag brand.

I also have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher. The front panel has stopped working. It was a horrible dishwasher from the beginning. The dishes were streaky on the top rack. And I had to replace the rollers after just over a year. The upper rack has rust on it. The Maytag double ovens I bought at the same time had to be replaced within a year, as the racks damaged the porcelain interior. I also wish I had found your site before my purchases. My husband is not working now. So, I guess we will be washing dishes the old fashioned way.

Echoing the sentiments of others on this site, I am deeply disappointed in Maytag brand appliances manufactured by the Whirlpool Corp. When, for the first time in my life, I was able to buy all brand new kitchen appliances, I didnt even consider any other brand but Maytag. This was based on many decades of using Maytag products and watching my mother use them. I come from a big family so our appliances got used hard, and the Maytag brand ones worked year after year, decade after decade with little or no maintenance. To put it quite frankly, my new Maytag products are junk. I could supply a whole laundry list of problems but, in the interest of space, will just tell about the latest. A couple of weeks ago the fake tin foil paint on my oven and burner knobs just started falling off, revealing cheap plastic underneath. When I called Maytag to complain, I was asked how I clean the knobs. I told them that when I clean the stove front I remove the knobs and drop them in warm water with a couple drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid for the few minutes it takes to clean and polish the stove front, and that I had been using this same procedure for 2 years. The rep. hemmed and hawed awhile and then went away to consult her database. When she returned she told me that one is not allowed to soak the knobs per the manual, and therefore she could not offer any help. She then generously offered to transfer me to the parts department, where the rep. informed me that replacements would cost $70 EACH, thats a total of $350 plus shipping for 5 cheap plastic knobs. WOW! What a deal! I tell everyone I meet NOT to buy any Maytag branded product, and to apply extreme skepticism before considering any Whirlpool product. (BTW - the last certified Maytag appliance repairman to come & fix one of the appliances essentially admitted they are junk.) Model #: MGR8775AS SN: R32810432.

I bought my Maytag dishwasher MDB7749SBM0 three years ago. After it was in one month it already needed a service call. It needed a control panel. Out of the dishwasher 4 weeks because this happened over Thanksgiving. Two months later it stopped working and needed another service call. Technician was inexperienced and another one had to be called. Out of the dishwasher 3 weeks. At this time, and because of the expense of the machine, I purchased an extended warranty. This was control panel number two. Not long after, the heating element had to be replaced. Two weeks without the dishwasher. Now, my dishwasher stopped working again and it needs a new control panel. The technician is rude but did offer the information that the moisture ruins the control panels. IT IS A DISHWASHER!!! IT USES WATER!!! I only run the dishwasher twice per week so I cant imagine how poorly it would hold up if it was run more often. I am on my third week without the dishwasher because the part is on back-order! No one can tell us when it will be in. I bought a Maytag because I thought they had the appliance market under control. MY MISTAKE! I am very angry.

Same complaint as most of the others: bought a refrigerator in 2013 and about one month after the 1 year warranty had run out the freezer started leaking water all over the floor and build up is on the bottom of the freezer, making it difficult to pull out the metal drawer. :( We do not have the water even hooked up to the automatic icemaker so have no clue where the water is coming from. Clothes washer has never worked properly from day one, didnt fill up with enough water. Had the repair man here while the warranty was still in effect and he verified that the washer DID not fill with enough water therefore leaving soap and grime on our clothes. :( He had to order an entire new brain and replaced it. Worked for a couple of months better than it ever DID and now back to soapy, grimy, dirty clothes again. Why isnt there a recall on the part that keeps backing up on these bottom freezer Maytag refrigerators? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit and get these things recalled and replaced. Spent a lot of money on this brand new refrigerator and was so jazzed to get a brand new one for the first time in my life. :( Well that was surly short-lived. Shame on you Maytag, your company has really gone downhill. I would love it if an attorney could start a class action lawsuit with Maytag on their bottom freezers.

Its frustrating the way the bottom of the dishwasher has curves making wasted space. Second, the tracks for the trays are such that often the tray comes off the track and makes it difficult to get back on without unloading dirty dishes to do so. Finally, I really dont get the lighting system for dishwashing on the outside of the machine.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in 2011. In 2014 I got no response from the control panel when trying to start the machine. Service came out and had to replace the control panel. The cost for that repair was $269.00. It has now just stopped working again. Same issue. After seeing all the posts, I realize that this is a prevalent issue and in some cases a safety concern. If Maytag knows about this issue with their control panels why have they not recalled or corrected these problems! Needless to say, I will never trust this company again!!! Model number MDB7749AWM2.

My Maytag dishwasher is not working after 1 years & 60 months. I called Sears, where I got it. Then, Maytag company. It looks like I need to spend $167 for an electronic controller (the push buttons will not turn on) if I do myself (I doubt if I can go it, but I can try). If not, how much will I pay a tech for coming (I was told $59) plus the labor if I let him fix it. So Im looking at a total of approx $400 plus to fix a 1 1/2 yr old Maytag dishwasher. Any comments Maytag??

We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

The $1,100 Maytag Bravo XL does not have a dedicated spin cycle. Its rinse and spin. When out of balance, you rearrange and it rinses AGAIN - 15 minutes - before you know whether its balanced. By rinsing again, it can redistribute to be out of balance. Repairmen (w/ extra warranty) said you cant wash bath mats, bedspreads or pillows though it had giant capacity! They would charge me if I called again about it (3 strikes). So bought a used Kenmore with no computer panel... Its great! My dealer had the Maytag hauled to a dump, he would not sell it to anybody as he had integrity.

Bravos XL was costly. Mistake! I owned my first Maytag for 20 plus years. The sticker shock of buying a new Maytag 4 years ago was pushed aside knowing how long my previous model lasted. The salesperson at Lowes closed the deal with his explanation of an improved gear driven system vs the old belt and pulley version. Oh how wrong! I too have the jet plane from hell landing in my home for over 2 years now everytime the spin cycle engages. This is a two person family and it failed at 2 years?!?!?As for water conservation... if I dont include the additional rinse cycle, my clothes dont get clean. Watched the YouTube on how to repair this unit... but what guarantee do I have that it wont go back to the same problem in another year? Cant afford another big investment like this now that I am retired, so I will run this baby until it seizes up. Dont wash clothes if company is coming or if you want to enjoy evening TV programs. Not sure why this unit hasnt been recalled based on all the complaints I have read on this site?? Worst decision I ever made! I bet the Maytag Repairman is spinning in his grave!

This machine sucks. Im down to washing three to four items only on an extra capacity machine because every single load becomes unbalanced. Feeling the weight of each item and then placing it correctly doesnt work. Repairman came out. Said it was balanced. Lie. At this point I want to take a sledgehammer to it and send the pieces one by one to Maytag. They should be embarrassed to even have this product for sale to the public with their name on it.

Almost 2 years ago this dishwasher wouldnt drain. Fixed that $300. Then just over a year ago control panel had to be replaced. Now control panel was bad again, had to rest circuit to get it to start. I see this is a common problem. Only 2 of us in the house and the dishwasher gets used only 2-3 times a week since we purchased brand new in December 2011. Ordered the new control panel and just went to replace it, guess what. This appliance could have burnt our house down. The wiring in the door that plugs into the control panel is burnt! Not at the panel at all but a good 8 down the wiring harness. Both harnesses as well. Scared me half to death! To think it could have killed us at night, when we usually run this appliance. Definitely calling Maytag now. I do have pictures as well.

I have had the fridge 3 years and 2/3 shelves have crumbled to pieces, the compressor has gone, the ice bucket crumbled, the ice maker stopped working, once ice maker was fixed it got stuck on crush, and now I am trying to order another shelf because it has also crumbled like the rest and this is in a household of 1 person! I am just getting the run around... I have been redirected to 3 different numbers now (800-344-1274, 866-368-6478, and 877-468-2371) and now I had a rude customer service rep so I asked if I could speak with someone else and I am now on eternal rot on hold. Pretty sure he didnt even transfer me and Im just sitting on hold on his line while he is laughing. Time to hang up and try again another day. #un**believableI was also told that if I purchased the extended warranty plan that it would cover the crappy shelves in the future so I did and now they are telling me it doesnt cover them and it only gives me a discount on them. MAYTAG YOU OWE ME A NEW FRIDGE... THIS ONE IS A LEMON! We have a 3 year old washer dryer. The wash stopped working so we called Maytag directly to have their repair person come look at their product. Little did we know that they sub contract repair to local companies I could have contacted myself. After being told the authorized dealer was Maytag I soon found out it was not a Maytag employee. The man who came has no idea what is wrong and is guessing at issues. Once a installed part is not the cause he wants to try something else but we have to pay for him to trial and error.We have spent hundreds of dollars and yet our washer is still broken. We have decided to go buy another washer as this is our cheaper option (it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool). When I tried to talk to ** (Maytag manager who lied on the phone to me and was very rude) manager I was talking to refused and told I had to file my complaint with her co-work. I have never heard of this! We will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool (same company) as our dishwasher after 1 year 3 months old needed a new motor total repair $450.00. Their products break down early.

I purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer 3-4 years ago, upgraded to the premium washer and dryer, SS drums and have been dissatisfied from the start. The washer was extremely noisy; we were told this was normal. The dryer began making strange noises just outside the warranty period, and the belt and pulley had to be replaced. I was shocked at the cheapness of the pulley design, but the replacement part was of better quality. The washer began making a horrendous squeak shortly afterwards, again, outside the warranty period. The repairman said that they were all like that, Maytag used inferior transmissions and that it would be cheaper to replace the washer than repairing it. My mother had the same experience with a similar model. Needless to say, I will never purchase another Maytag product. FYI, there are only three people in our household, all adults, light duty use.

I purchased our Maytag Dishwasher in 2014 (Model # MDB77495B) and after a little over a year, of course after the warranty had expired the panel started to act up. I did get it repaired costing over $300 for parts and service thinking all is well. The repairman that came out had to come out twice once to look at and then again to fix after the part came in. We had a conversation and he said that was common with this brand, the steam sometimes affects the panel. I spoke with Maytag about getting an extended warranty but after looking at the cost passed on it. Well now the panel is acting up again. If Maytag thinks I am going to have another repairman come out well think again. I will see how much the part cost and do it myself if it cheap enough, if not I guess Ill be back to washing dishes by hand for awhile. I bought this brand feeling that it was American made and the cost was on the expensive side that it would last. I am disappointed that this has happened again. For the money spent it should last at least 10 years. My old dishwasher that was given to me used lasted over 15 years with not one problem. Its a shame we cannot get good working appliances as we did back in the day.

Maytag Oven MGR8670WS1 - Purchased in the Fall of 2011 (along with a fridge... also faulty the freezer stopped working within a year). Ive had the oven stop working twice (in 2012). This week (spring 2014) would be the third time. It seems to be a faulty ignitor already replaced having to be replaced yet again. I have never used such faulty appliances EVER and never AGAIN. This is absolutely ridiculous.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher on 9/22/2012. Model number MDB7759SAB. Within the past couple of months, it has been very temperamental. The control panel started beeping continuously and some of the functions wouldnt work anymore while others continued to work too well; in that the dishwasher on occasion would rewash several times without anyone starting the machine again. The dishwasher also started leaking water... As of yesterday, the dishwasher control panel stopped responding and then out of the blue, the dishwasher turned itself on in the middle of the night! We called customer service and they said they could send a repairman out for around $89 and then we would have to pay for the parts needed and the cost of labor. After reading many reviews sounding exactly the same as mine, my husband and I are against repairing this lousy machine. Its absolutely ridiculous for a dishwasher to quit unexpectedly like this. Our question now is, which brand to purchase for our next dishwasher? No more junk please!!

My Maytag Bravo washing machine is very basic and convenient. It was the first appliance I bought when I purchased my new home in September of 2019. it is commercial grade so I’m able to wash everything from towels to comforters to heavy coats. I like the clean lines of it and the knobs are easy to use and are perfect for my needs. It has wrinkle control, deep water wash, a variety of temperatures including tap, cold, cool, warm and hot. There is a fabric softener feature and an extra rinse. The push button Start is perfect and easy to use.

This review is pretty simple, if you have kids, do not buy this washer! I just went to the local wholesale guy after almost 8 months of using this POS, and spent $200 on a older agitator machine, after the first load my 7 year old close came clean of dirt! There is literally no water and the motion of the drum, it is almost impossible for this machine to clean clothes. I really am surprised that no one has started a class action. And to anyone saying the are hog farmers and work outside and get dirty? I would love to see it first hand. I am going to post on YouTube and show what this machine really does. Think about this before you buy, We all get hooked on how big it is, thinking you can do 4 loads at once, but trust me the low water thing is real! How do you clean clothes with no water! You will regret this purchase. And I am a Maytager for life! So disappointing.

We bought a Maytag dryer from Lowes on 4.23.20 for $567.87. From Day 1, it required us to dry even medium loads at least 2 times and sometimes even 3 times. I have been complaining to my husband since we got it. The clothes come out smelling almost burnt. But if you dry it once, the clothes are wet. And if you try to dry it the 2nd time for less time, its still not dry. So, it takes forever to do laundry. This morning, it sounded like a lot of metal was rattling around. So, I looked inside to see if change was in there, and nothing was in there but t-shirts and socks. It had been drying for less than a minute, but when I opened the door a wave of extreme heat hit my face. Now Im afraid to use it because I think it will eventually burn our house down. And with COVID-19, we do tons of laundry. We cant afford another dryer but may have no choice.

I purchased this relatively expensive range and could not have imagined how dissatisfied I would be. The Aqualift cleaning technology does not work. There is no way to clean the oven door. They stress not to use oven cleaner, but as the Aqualift system does nothing to clean the oven door, there is no choice but to use oven cleaner, which they say will ruin the oven coating. Also, the grates are very heavy and it is impractical to clean the range top. I wish I had researched further; this product is a MAJOR disappointment.

The dishes need to be washed off to be sure they will be clean. It holds a lot of dishes. You can put it on a short wash or long one. Leaves water on base of glasses sometimes. Holds moisture. Heavy wash, normal wash, light wash, rinse only, auto clean, delay 1-9, heated dry, sanitize, tough scrub, extra rinse. Regular size 24. Beige color. Electronic buttons. Maytag Quiet Series 200: I do not like the racks for putting dishes in. Otherwise it holds a lot. It does not clean dishes if you do not rinse them off first. If you run the dishwasher immediately after putting dishes in it will clean them off. Sometimes it leaves water standing. Even with what I have said I really like this dishwasher. We have had the dishwasher a long time. We use it at least 2 times a week.

We purchased a new Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer from Lowes in June of 2013. After a year and a half of normal use (2 people in the household) the washer needs a new gearbox bearing at a repair cost of $529.00. I called Maytag and spoke to a customer service representative who informed me that there was nothing they could do about it because it was past the one year warranty. I asked to speak with a supervisor who told me they would offer me a 50% discount on the bearing but would not pay for the repair work (the cost of the bearing is approximately $25).Needless to say I will not be having the washer repaired. We will be purchasing a new washer and it WILL NOT be a Maytag, Whirlpool or any other brand made by that company. Its just appalling to think a company like Maytag can scam customers the way they do by producing appliances that are of such poor quality and then offer third rate customer service on top of it. Maytags answer to the whole issue is selling everyone an extended warranty which we all know is as bogus as the companys integrity!!!

I HATE this washer. It had such good reviews before I bought it, but I have never been so disappointed. Doesnt use NEARLY enough water to get anything clean, even when I try deep water wash, bedding, or power wash. You cant switch modes in the middle of a load, and if you leave it paused too long, it drains on you. Ive tried balling everything up as the manufacturer advised. I tried using less detergent, again as advised. Nothing works. Sometimes the clothes on top dont even get wet. Dont waste your money!! If I can find a way to fix my old washer, Im going to do that and throw this thing to the junk heap.

I really like the refrigerator. Its easy to maneuver and frost-free, but I should have gotten the side by side. Also, make sure of your family size before you make final decision. Other than the size I would recommend to family and friends to purchase.

I purchased an over the range microwave (OTR), boxing day 2018. It failed January 2021. It worked great before failing. The issue with Maytag/Whirlpool is their service. I told them before they came out that I was only interested in having it fixed if it could be done that day. They checked that they had the parts and said they could do it, so I moved forward with the appointment. Well they didnt fix it, and said that they need to order a part, which they said would take several weeks. They are trying to bill me the service fee $167, and expect me to wait a month or possibly more to get the part and fix the microwave. Now Im faced with having to pay a service fee for something not fixed and buying a new microwave. Lesson: Never try to repair, cheaper to buy a new product. Other lesson, never buy Maytag or Whirlpool product again. Despite what is on their website and advertising, they have terrible customer service.

I am not dissatisfied with hhgregg, but with Maytag products. I purchased the Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer and Maytag Centennial Dryer to match. I was a bit leery of the new energy star models that use he only type detergent, but decided that was the newest and greatest thing out, so how could it be wrong? For the past two months, I have been sooooo very disappointed in Maytag. Neither of these brand new machines are worthy of being considered brand new. The washer takes extremely too long to wash a normal load, too noisy, and has ruined several items of clothing, due to malfunctioning distribution of bleach, fabric softener released after clothes are through washing. There has also been several times that the load wash is complete and the clothes are not even wet (like they were never involved in a wash cycle). As for the dryer, you have to run it through two 40 minutes cycles to get the load of clothes completely dry, so much for energy-saving. This is my first complaint to anyone, but after reading several reviews on Maytags website, I am reassured I am not alone. There are hundreds of other dissatisfied consumers of this Maytag product. I will be writing a letter to Maytag, requesting a refund.

Bought refrigerator 2012 from Home Depot (model something like MBF1953YEB - how sad is it that I now have this number memorized?). Freezer too cold, refrigerator way too warm. Freezer air ducts frozen over. Tried manual defrosting twice per YouTube suggestions. Finally got repair for $400!!! Thats about half what I paid for it! One proponent repairman stopped me mid-sentence when I said Maytag saying, I know what it is. The computer (Jazz?) board needed to be replaced for $217. I just looked up Maytag to see it was bought in 2006 by Whirlpool. So I wont be purchasing any more Maytag or Whirlpool appliances.

We purchased our washer and dryer set in December of 2010 and had it for about 2 years with the extended warranty...needless to say around 1 1/2 - 2 years the metal around our bleach dispenser started rusting. Maytag considers this cosmetic! I am shocked to think that its cosmetic...on the outside of the washer yes, but on the inside no! It is faulty on Maytags part. I have spoken with Maytag and they tell me if it doesnt happen within the first 30 days there is nothing they can do. So I will tell anyone and everyone what was said to me via Maytags own repairman, Buy cheaper washers as NO ONE offers an extended warranty on the inside of the washer rusting. Whirlpool is the owner of Maytag now so beware of Whirlpool as well. Check out the warranties and make sure you will be covered longer than 30 days for rusting on any washer you intend on purchasing. We learned the hard way and well....we will be buying a cheap washer like the repairman suggested when this one goes out.

I have owned a Maytag gas dryer for 10 years now. I have had to replace the idler and belt 4 times now. This dryer appears to be built as cheaply as humanly possible just to get it past its almost non existent warranty. The replacement parts are even worse. The idler has a bronze bearing in it as a wear item. Really??? Why was this never even considered as a part that could be lubricated at least occasionally?Granted, lots of people do not have any mechanical ability at all and just pay through the nose for a repairman to come to their place for any repair then pay dearly for the service but, I DO have mechanical ability so I do all the work myself. That is why I know firsthand about the terrible manufacturing results and the very cheaply built replacement parts available at outrageous prices.

Nothing wrong with this dishwasher, a bit noisy, but it gets the dishes clean and thats whats important. This was a builder grade installation and it came with the house so I cant really say its the exact model I would have selected had I been given the opportunity to pick my own.

Maytag Dishwashers work great. It cleans well and appearance is very good. I have always trusted Maytag appliances. Its quiet running and also energy saver. If I had to replace I would stay with Maytag.

This is just a heads up to anyone thinking about purchasing the front loading Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. We spent $1900.00 on these machines and have had nothing but trouble from them. I will never purchase a Maytag or now, Whirlpool appliance again. As to the rating above, if I could post negative 150 stars I would. I have spent as much in repairs as the new dryer cost.

We purchased a new Maytag french door refrigerator and from day one had issues with the ice maker. After three replacements Maytag informed me that this was an inherent issues and no fix available. So we had a $2000+ refrigerator with a non-functioning ice maker. Our 20 year old Frigidaire continues to make ice with no issues. Then the control panel lights started blinking and evidently this is also a known problem and when I called Maytag to buy the part, they said SORRY we dont offer parts on our appliances over 6 years old. This is the worst piece of ** I have ever owned coupled with the lousiest customer service in the world. I will never buy another Maytag.

Nobody seems to know how to replace this part online. I have discovered what a POS this Maytag MGDC700VWO dryer is. The ONLY way to access this part is to beat an access hole in the bottom-left panel. After the repair, you are left with a nice 4 hole??? What an absolute POS! The back panel has screws but after removing them, I discovered the panel is also tack-welded! This is beyond stupid! Maytag used to be a great product before they were obviously sold to the Yugo factory. Time to move on.

We purchased our Maytag dryer at Home Depot a couple of months ago. We just called Home Depot for the second time because the dryer handle broke off while opening the front load door. We called Maytag and they tell us to call Home Depot and the only thing they are willing to do again is fix the door handle which will probably break off again while Im in the middle of laundry and cant retrieve clothes from the dryer because there isnt a handle to open it.Im convinced the dryer has a defective handle, and the dryer should be replaced considering what we paid for it. But Maytag or Home Depot doesnt want to do that. I will never buy Maytag products again and thinking of buying products at small appliance stores who stand behind their products, instead of Home Depot who could easily turn our dryer over to the insurance company as defective for the loss.

I purchased a French Door, Bottom Freezer refrigerator in the summer of 2006. Less than 3 years later, the ice maker door kept opening and closing and the lights on the door panel kept flashing. I called Maytag and found out there was a problem with the circuit board, and that it was under recall. The refrigerator was fixed at no charge and I was happy. Approximately 2-1/2 months ago, less than 7 years after I bought the fridge, it started getting too cold inside and then too warm and then too cold, etc. Then it stopped cooling altogether. From what I read, it was either a problem with the compressor or the relay on the compressor. There was a recall on the relay on some models, but not on mine. I cant even afford a service call. Let alone a repair charge. If the compressor is the problem, Im looking at a repair bill in the hundreds of dollars. The online price for a compressor is over $300. I dont have the money. So the beautiful refrigerator that I paid $2,000 for sits in the kitchen, unplugged. I never figured that Id pay that kind of money for a refrigerator and have 2 major problems with it in less than 7 years. I just got off the phone with Maytag and, of course, they cant do anything to help me. I was hoping to never buy another refrigerator, but if I have to or if I have to buy any other appliance, I will never ever buy another Maytag or Whirlpool. I will post everywhere I can about my experiences with this refrigerator.

Last August I bought the Maytag Bravos XL. I have had 3 repairmen try to fix my problems with it and they cannot. The problem is, they cant fix an appliance that isnt designed correctly! Without water, one cannot wash. Dont be mislead that the huge area inside can be used for large objects like sheets and comforters. This machine is MUCH harder on my sheets and comforters than my old machine with a center agitator. I have shredded rugs, holes in sheets, black lines on clothes and a chlorine dispenser that puts spots on everything. The detergent dispenser hardware is rusted as well. Folks if this machine was an automobile, IT WOULD BE RECALLED!

I have a Maytag washer that I bought new in 1995! It is still washing my clothes like a champ. It must be true - the Maytag repairman is a lonely soul, in all these years I have never had to call him!

Maytag model mfd2561hes French door stainless steel purchased in June 2005 has been the worst appliance purchase ever. After 1 year warranty expired, icemaker and water dispenser stopped working. Was told by repairman to thaw the tube for water dispensing with a hair dryer. Are you kidding me? Why should I have to pull a huge refrigerator out from wall and put the hair dryer to it to thaw out the water line when I need water? What is the convenience to that? Cant buy fresh vegetables as it will freeze before I can use it. This is the worst appliance ever. Dont buy Maytag products. Maytag doesnt back products like the old days when they would last 20 + years. Cant last even a year anymore. Sad!

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... Purchased Maytag dishwasher Model Number MDB7749AWM1 in June 2011. With a two person household, we need a new control panel in Sept 2014. Total cost of service call, repair and part is $325. This unit was a poor value for us. I see the trend is to discontinue a model after a short period of time, making it impossible for anyone to get a review of other peoples experiences. I went with Maytag because of this. It was a company with a strong reputation for quality equipment. Not so anymore. I would not purchase another product made by Maytag.

I bought my Maytag refrigerator Sept. 2013 and now in December, 2014 it is dead. After five visits from Maytag to repair it, they say it will cost $1,200 to repair it. The advice the man gave me was throw it out and buy something different. The refrigerator never worked right from the beginning. Four of the visits were in the warranty period. Compressor and evaporator shot. NEVER AGAIN. Maytag does not stand behind what they sell.

Both the microwave and French door fridge handles are crap. The microwave has completely broken and the fridge is very loose and will soon break, Im sure. Both are less than 5 years old. I will never buy Maytag again.

Maytag Washer Model#MVWC465HW2, just purchased it 1/30/2019, leaves white stains on dark colored clothes. I use liquid soap. I don’t use softener nor bleach. I use OxiClean on my whites and sheet softener in the dryer. Someone please out there help, I can’t return it, it’s past 30 days. I have extended warranty but they can’t help. It’s not broken. I hear a lot of bad reviews/complaints, but no answer if it’s been solved or how to solve it. Please someone help???

Maytag needs to step up and admit that they have a design flaw in this dishwasher. The problem is that just a week or two after the warranty is out, it just stops working. Sometimes when you walk by it, it just turns on. No way to turn it off. Nothing works on the control panel. From what Ive seen on the internet, everybody is having the same problem. Its the control panel. It costs 180 dollars to fix, but it only lasts another year and you have the same problem. Ill have to say that when it works, it does a superb job. It just wont keep working.

Maytag French Door Fridge Model MFT267AEW10 - Not even 1 month out of warranty and the water line solenoid is leaking. It seems the water line installed at the factory was pulled so tightly that it has caused the solenoid inlet to start leaking. We really researched this refrigerator and thought we were buying the best. Not so, Maytag wont warranty it. The last purchase of Maytag I will ever make. We should have bought the Samsung but we were trying to buy American. Wont make that mistake again. Not a smart investment. Refrigerators are supposed to last a good ten years. How sad.

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

I had the old style machine and finally it gave out and I bought an LG HE Large capacity. It was a well I can print it here but kept the machine for 5 years and gave it away. I bought a new Bravo Maytag set 5.2 with the old style agitator thinking I was going to get a great machine and NO. These new machines do not use enough water in the load sensing and clothes on top never get in the water. They come out with soap stains even with a double rinse. And no I am not using too much soap! My old machine had small medium and large load settings plus you could add more water if needed. Way better machine.The techs are trained to tell you this is how the machines work and there is nothing wrong with them. Finally an honest tech told me they are having all sorts of complaints and problems. If all you wash is bedding and dress clothes you get by but if you really have soiled clothes you have to do a lot of prep and then stop in the middle of the wash cycle and rotate your clothes manually! Total BS for 8-900 dollar machines. Do yourself a favor and buy a front load. At least the clothes will get flopped in and out of the water and hopefully rotate so they actually get clean. That is what I am going to try before I go back to the old scrub board and tub!

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher 15 months ago and was told the control panel is bad. It would cost me $120 to have someone look at it. I might as well buy a new one by the time the parts are added. I called Maytag and they said that there was nothing they could do for me since I was three months past my warranty. Meanwhile, I see all of these complaints about the same problem and Im wondering why there has not been a recall on this. What does it take for that to happen? I will never purchase a Maytag again! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. All they do is apologize like its programmed in their heads. This feels like a fraud!

Maytag used to have a reputation for quality. Their low water energy efficient Centennial is a waste of money. Half of the time clothes come out wet and most of the time they are still dirty. Also you are only supposed fill the tub 1/4 of the way with clothes so you end up doing 3 times as many loads per week. What genius came up with this idea? Save your money. You would get better results washing your clothes in a tub with a washboard. Seriously!

My washing machine is 2 1/2 years old. It is not overused, just 2 people in the household. Maytag wanted to sell me a contract for $320, I declined. After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

I bought the Centennial top load washer and the dryer in May 2016 at Lowes. They are junk. I had a secondhand Craigslist Maytag washer that lasted 7 yrs and it was still running just fine when I got rid of it after purchasing this HE junk. The flimsy plastic door handle on the dryer fell off about 6 months ago. The clerk at Lowes assured me that the washer was high capacity & could handle heavy loads. Now I cant wash heavy loads because the agitator is already loose and getting ready to break. I have to wash smaller loads on the hand wash cycle. I cant wash my comforter or my rugs. The real kicker is I cant reach Maytag! I have tried calling to sit on hold for 30 mins to an hour. I tried the live chat during their regular business hours and it was not open. I am so disappointed in these machines. This is the first time I have ever purchased a new washer and dryer and this is what I get. I might as well have set $850 on fire. DO NOT BUY NEW MAYTAG MACHINES. THEY ARE JUNK.

Need to keep cleaning washer otherwise it leaves white marks on clothes. I used vinegar but that didnt help. Used the wash cycle and that didnt help. I found a washer cleaner and it works great. Overall performance of washer is fine but I would be hesitant on purchasing another Maytag Bravo washer only for this reason.

This is beyond one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made! It has been about 15 months since purchasing this dishwasher, and as of today it is not working! Blinking start button. I see from the hundreds of disappointed customer comments that I am not alone. With this many people complaining of the same issue, that Maytag should have a recall... I paid about $550. Purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer in November 2015 after having a old set not Maytag for 25 years with no repairs. WOW. Then the new washer went out in Feb. 2016, now the dryer in May 2016. I bought my Bravos washer (Maytag Bravos Model # MVWX700XL2) back in 2013. Worst mistake ever, First off the clothes never came out clean, regardless of how diligent I was following the directions on how to use this particular type of machine. Secondly, it started going off balance for every load if I put more than 4 pieces of clothing in. 2 months after having it recently repaired AGAIN for not spinning and going off balance, it is doing it again. It is only 4 years old! I bought it for the Maytag reputation, but now I am doubting that reliability.

I had my kitchen remodeled less than 4 years ago with a Maytag refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and GE stove. I had a 1 year warranty, and purchased additional 2 years. The warranty ran out last year, and the refrigerator is not working. Maytag customer service said all they could offer was 1 year extended warranty for $300. I told them a refrigerator should last longer than 4 years. They agreed, but that is all they did. Ive read other online reviews, and it appears a lot of people are in the same situation (however my fridge is not on a recall list). I will never buy another Maytag product ever! My GE and Bosch appliances are working just fine.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer 2 years ago and it is the worst washer I have ever used. My clothes are never clean. It is always out of balance and is so slow and takes forever to do a load of laundry. It has started stopping on spin and have to unplug it to get it started back then it sounds like a jet coming in for a landing and has to restart the spin about 3 or 4 times before it ever finishes. I have had the repairman to look at it and says there is not anything wrong with it, but something has to be wrong for it to stop on spin and have to unplug it for 5 mins. in order for it to reset itself and start again.

Maytag Bravo model MVWB750WQO. Bought this washer in 2009 for 1300 thinking it would last at least 10 years! Wrong! I loved it until a few months ago when it started making VERY LOUD noises during final spins. Sounded like the house was going to take off. Then today it started leaking water. Repairman said it needed a drum, seal and gasket. Would have cost 700-800 to fix. Needless to say we bought a new washer today, and it wasnt a Maytag!! For that much money I was expecting the washer to last a long time!

Just after a year the bottom freezer began to build up frost. I had to thaw it every day. A repairman changed part and ran well for about 5 months when it started to frost up again. Again, I had to call a repairman in. $500.00 later, my fridge is working again. I am done with Maytag appliances. Never again!

In 2011 we purchased a complete appliance grouping at Home Depot by Maytag to include the dishwasher. For some reason we neglected to purchase an extended warranty on the dishwasher. Lo and behold in 2013 our control panel went bad and the cost to repair it was almost as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Thinking this was a fluke we were dumb enough to purchase another Maytag from Home Depot due to the loyalty made in the USA. Well here we are 2015 not even a full two years later the control panel started acting funny a few days ago and yesterday just plain old QUIT. Fortunately we were wise enough to purchase an extended warranty plan on this dishwasher so tomorrow we will be calling the repairman. Unfortunately Maytag has never solved the problem that has been occurring for at least 5 years and continues to sell this product to unsuspecting schmucks like us who try to be true to the made in the USA slogan. My husband and I purchased both a Maytag washer MVWX655DW1 and dryer MEDX655DW1 less than 3 years ago from Sears. We had both the washer and dryer professionally installed. Yesterday, we had an authorized service man come in and look at the problems we were having. He told us our Maytag washer would need a new gear case and gears costing $750.Our Dryer, same age, needed a new cycling thermostat. He said it was due to not cleaning out the lint trap. My husband and clean the lint trap after every load religiously. He said there was a pile of lint built up in the dryer. I could only think this would be a design flaw. To repair the dryer it would cost $350. The grand total to repair our Maytag Washer and Dryers would be $1100. We paid $1082.38 at Sears for both. The only thing Maytag offered to cover was a part for the washer which would cost $640 and we would need to pay the extra $110 for service in addition the $150 diagnostic charge, due to use being out of our one year warranty.We decided to not fix this machine to avoid similar problems in the future. I talked to customer service and asked them to cover the diagnostic charge instead of sending the part, which is far more costly. I got the runaround and 3 rejections before they finally agreed to pay for the diagnostic charge. My husband and I are extremely disappointed in this experience. We currently own a Maytag Microwave and Electric Glass Top Range. We will never buy Maytag again. Our Stove is also lacking. We have the AquaLift cleaning stove. The AquaLift technology does not work.

Maytag front loader 5000 series error codes - After using my washing machine for 3.5 years, under light duty, I have an error code of SUD and F35 indicating that the pressure switch has failed and needs replacement. I will need to buy a new pressure switch out of pocket and replace.

Purchase a top loader washer machine in Nov 2014, it is now Jan 2015. It is not completing drain cycle, leaving wet cloth. I am Not happy with the service. I had the tech people come out 3 time and saying to call customer service, and they keep sending out people. They do not want to give me back my money. Unhappy, waste of money, will not get another Maytag appliance again.

Washer is Broken After 1-1/2 Years: Yes, the code F51 has come on quite often. Now, my washer does not work at all! Does not spin out, makes thumping noises even though I have taken good care of this machine. It cost me quite a lot of money and thought that this was a wise decision. It’s broken after a year, unbelievable! Also, clothes don’t get clean. I had to wash 2 - 3 times. The clothes wrap around each other and the machine does not clean them well. It’s a horrible machine. I have not called Maytag (Whirlpool) yet as I see from the comments that they will not stand behind their machine. I dont know what to do!

I bought my maytag stove model MGR7662WS on January 30, 2011 and have had it serviced 3 times... same problem. I set oven to 350 degrees, put food in oven and later check on food only to find the temperature reads 350 but the oven is cold. Food is not cooked and it smells like gas. I turn it off and turn it back on and it does not turn on most of the time. Service guy keeps replacing parts and says he will replace the same part he just replaced last week. He says sometimes the part comes out defective. I think the stove is defective and I have thrown away so much food because it does not finish cooking and smells like gas. Its so frustrating because my Thanksgiving was ruined two years in a row due to turkey not cooking.

We purchased a new Maytag Bravos washer and dryer. The washing machine senses the weight of the clothing and determines how much water to use. The machine does not put enough water in to completely immerse the clothes, therefore after the load has washed, the clothes come out of the washing machine partially dry. I have to wash the clothes a second time therefore using detergent twice, water twice, electricity twice and my time twice to wash each load. After a while the machine stopped washing altogether. I would load the laundry, add the soap, close the machine and start the machine. It would begin to put water on the clothes and sense the weight of the clothing and it would get stuck there. I would hear a buzzing sound and the clothes have been stuck on this same cycle for over 15 minutes and it would not wash the clothes. I tried starting the machine again, and it would drain the machine. Id have to add more soap, use more water, use more electricity and use my time again to try and wash the same load. They sent out a repair company who looked at the machine, did whatever they did (and left a bunch of water on the floor behind the dryer and didnt have the decency to tell me so that I could clean it up). They said they had to order parts and they would come back. They called me several hours later and said they had the parts in their warehouse and they could repair the machine.After a while, they said they were finished and that the machine was repaired. I tried to wash a load after they left and... the original issues were still there. I called the repair company and told them what happened. I typically do laundry once a week, so out of fairness to the technicians, I told the lady that I didnt have any more dirty laundry and that I wanted to try the machine again when I had dirty laundry the next week. I called the next week and Maytag said that I had to pay for the technicians to come out, even though they never repaired the washing machine.After complaints they offered me a $75 credit towards the repair company which I refused to accept. Then they told me I could buy another Maytag machine and they would give me a discount. So basically, I would get something like $76 off of a $600 machine. Really? And then the idiot had the nerve to tell me that it was customary for the clothes to come out partially dry. So in other words, he was telling me that these machines were designed with flaws to partially wash clothes so that consumers would have dirty clothes. I asked for a replacement machine of equal value and they told me that Maytag does NOT replace machines. They sell this crap, knowing that it is no good and they arent willing to replace it! I got someone else on the phone and he said that I will not have to pay for the technicians coming out a second time to attempt to fix the machine. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

This is in reference to Maytag washer MVW7232HW0 that broke after 5 months. Maytag sent a technician out who claimed we needed to replace 3 parts. We waited almost a month for the parts to come in just to have the technician say that didnt fix the problem. We have been waiting a 1.5 months for a resolution with nothing in sight. Now we have to either way another TWO months for another part, buy a new washer and get refunded for the old one (but WE would be responsible for the almost $300 price difference it now is), or wait for a new washer to come in stock and Maytag will replace it. However according to them there are no washers in stock for the foreseeable future. This company has been a joke to deal with. I have everything recorded and will take this further.

Model MDB7749AWM2. Paid over $700.00. Figure I would get a good dishwasher so it would last and clean dishes. I was wrong. I replaced all new appliances for kitchen in house we had purchase 3 years ago. I replaced door switch 4 times, front door panel where screws go in broke off. Salesman at Lowe’s said Maytag was a good dishwasher. It is a stainless front and stainless inside. I have had cheaper models and never had problems with.

Received new washer & dryer on Oct 2nd, 2015. The dryer has been acceptable, but the washer has been one problem after another. First of all the washer is so noisy beyond belief. The engineering is one dreadful design. At first attempted use, washer would not begin cycle. Sensor would say lock, unlock, lock, unlock for so long, I would cancel & begin again. It became such an annoyance that I placed start of cycle on a timer (it sat at sensor mode for 20 min.) then I restarted next time sat for 15 minutes without starting. After beginning from start position it would start OR NOT. First repairmen told me timer might be off a bit. As days passed with same issue, second repairmen arrived and found that door was off (not completely closing). Repairmen would place an order for new seal. Upon repairmen arriving for third time (new seal did not solve issue) he believes that lid is uneven, & he will order a new lid & return in a few days to repair. I must admit that service has been quick, but the issue is still a headache. I would NEVER recommend this model to anyone and would like for Maytag to replace washer with a different model. The noise is a factor that no one should have to endure. The grinding noise can be heard from three rooms away from laundry area with laundry room door closed! Im absolutely a very very unhappy customer.

We purchased our Maytag® 4.5 cu.ft. White Front-Load Steam Washer online through Menards and picked up the washer on Feb. 5, 2022. We set it up on Feb. 6, 2022 and it didnt work properly from day one. The washer makes a clicking sound when it spins and also gets out of balance very easily. I contacted Maytag and they referred a warranty repairman in our area. He looked at the machine and said it could be one of two things and it would be a major repair. We would have to haul the washer to his shop and he would have to tear apart the washer to fix. He said it would be a big job to fix and we would be out of a washer for a few days.I also had contacted Menards shortly after we purchased the machine and they told us to contact Maytag. They wanted nothing to do with us and didnt want to stand behind a product that they had sold. Getting major warranty work done on a NEW washer makes no sense to me. I am very disappointed in Maytag and will never purchase anything Maytag again. Dont bother wasting your money like we did!

Recently purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer from our local Home Depot June 2020. The appliances were finally delivered in August. When both appliances were installed, the installers made sure the washer was working properly and there were no leaks. They did the same for the dryer to make sure it was working properly. When the dryer was turned on however, the motor blew up and there was smoke coming from the dryer! I am now sorry I purchased Maytag. I had narrowed my choice between purchasing Samsung or Maytag. Im now thinking I should have gone with Samsung. Im supposed to receive another dryer today. The washer works, however its very, very loud. For the amount of money I paid, I hope these last for a while.

Last week I noticed that my freezer motor had a build up of frost. I melted it with a hair dryer. 2 days later there was a layer of frozen water on the bottom of my freezer as well as a layer of water on the first shelf in the fridge area. There is no way to access the drainage tube. I thought that the coils needed to be cleaned. That was not successful either since the coils run horizontal and only the front section can be vacuumed. Today, again the freezer motor area is frosted and layer of ice on bottom and the motor is making a terrible noise. How disappointing for a less than 2 year old fridge.

I specifically bought the washer because it has an agitator and you have a setting for more water if you need it. My previous washer had no agitation and really miss that. Seemed like clothes got cleaner. On this machine the agitator is certainly helpful, but there is so little water sometimes I find a pair of jeans with dry spots when load is complete. No, I do not overload the machine. If I change the setting to add more water I don’t see a difference in the amount of water that comes in. I find myself frequently adding an extra rinse. I feel that while making the new washing machines eco friendly they have cut back on water conservancy too much. At the very least the consumer should have more options as to levels of water. I would not buy this brand again.

Bought these in March of 2016. Got a 3 year warranty. In Feb 2019 the dryer burnt out the switch. Just by a hair it was covered. Now started working only on one cycle. The Washer with a 10 year limited warranty just stopped working out of the blue. ONLY 4 years old. Seriously???? during the Coronavirus outbreak!!!! I am beyond upset with this manufacturer. Geez my Kenmore washer and dryers lasted 17 years!!! My Whirlpools lasted 21 years!!!! What kind of junk are you putting on the market???? I was told at Lowes these were state of the Art machines - the best!!!! Here I am so stressed wondering what the Hell Im to do! Never buying Maytag again.

I really love my front loader and it has no agitator to rip pockets and tear off buttons. The tub is very large and I can wash king quilts. I do miss being able to fill the tub and put in additives and then add the clothes to soak.

I ordered my dream refrigerator (Maytag Model MFT2776FEZ) on 05-12-2017. I had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive because it was on back-order. I was willing to wait. All was good for 6 months. January 2018, the six month old refrigerator quit cooling. It took 2 1/2 from the service call until the part came in to fix before I could use my refrigerator again. I lost all my food. The same thing happened again in March 2018 except that it took 4 weeks for the part to come in once the serviceman ordered it. I lost all my food for a second time. February 2019, the same thing happened again. I placed the service call on 01-31-2019 for service, but the tech could not come out until 2/6/19. The part had to be ordered and could not be installed until 2-28-2019. For the 3rd time, Ive lost my food. My best friend that has appliances that are nearly 30 years old. She was going to replace all of hers and get exactly what I ordered. She has changed her mind and has decided she would rather keep her outdated appliances because they work.

RE: 5.2 CU Ft Top Load Washer, Model # MVWB865GW0, Serial # C84370937 - Purchased Jan 2019. The clothes come out terribly tangled and severely wrinkled, even when using the Wrinkle Control or Delicate cycle and occurs in every load size. Ive tried every cycle, including the deep fill and low spin speed but items are so wrinkled that whether I lay flat or hang or put them in the dryer, I have to iron them, which I never did before.

Purchased my Bravos June 2012. This is a horrible washer. It does not clean. It leaves a detergent scum line on clothing. My work clothes are visibly soiled and sometimes come out in a tangled mess. Maytag ignored a first complaint from my wife. I complained again today. Regardless what Maytag does, I will purchase another brand after research. We bought on Maytag’s reputation.

I purchased my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer 5 years ago. About 2 months ago, my washer started making a lot of noise in the final spin cycle. Well, after I called my repair man (who I purchased the set from), they said that a back bearing is faulty. They suggested calling Maytag because the cost of the repair is $500. I called Maytag and was told that due to the age of my washer, there was nothing they could or would do for me. This is very poor customer service and very poor quality as far as I am concerned. I can hardly afford to get it fixed, but I also cannot be without a washer. Im sorry I have several other appliances that are Maytag in my home.

Discovered that thousands of others are having problems with the control panel on their dishwasher. Mine is Model # MDB7749SBM2. Looks as if I should just junk this horrible product and buy a new one (another brand, of course). My biggest concern is that I purchased other Maytag products along with this dishwasher, ie, a refrigerator-freezer, a built-in stove top/oven and a microwave. I have had a service call on the fridge (water line), the oven (gas) will indicate a set temperature (400 degrees for example) sometimes it will only be abt 200 degrees via a portable thermometer... Sometimes it doesnt ignite at all (have to reset it 3 or 4 times, the microwave has issues with the digital readouts, and on and on and on.I have only had these appliances about two years (after warranty expired) when each unit started exhibiting problems. I paid $175 for the fridge repair and am now considering biting the bullet & replacing everything as MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL apparently isnt going to take responsibility for any defect on ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS! Im 75 years of age, retired and cannot afford the replacement route but it looks like I dont have a choice unless someone has a better suggestion. I dont have the skills or energy to attempt the repairs myself.

We purchased a Maytag MVWB765FW top load washer with agitator to replace a Whirlpool with premature gear case problems (less than 3 years old). Was partially sold by the attractive metal label that says 10 YEAR limited warranty. It is now less than 2 years old and the Maytag selected repairman just diagnosed a failing transmission and of course advised us this is not covered by the warranty. Cost to repair—$ 600. About as close to false advertising as I have seen.I can’t believe that this company would sell such crap and not stand behind their products! But after seeing all these other complaints I believe it now. I bought both washers from Nebraska Furniture Mart and I realize they only sell the appliances but I plan to inform them that if they continue to handle Whirlpool and Maytag products they will never sell another appliance to me or to anyone else I can influence to not buy from them. We as consumers are almost powerless against these manufacturers but if we can influence the stores we buy from, just maybe we will see some improvement.

Maytag washer, dryer, oven, microwave over-the-range - all crapped out in four years. I will never buy or recommend Maytag. I believed them to be one of the best brands but apparently theyve learned a few too many shortcuts.

Thankfully, Home Depot replaced the washer when Maytag wouldnt authorize a replacement after I had it for 3 days. Maytag wanted me to order a part, wait for the part, and then schedule their third party service contractor. It’s been about 2 weeks without a washer. Ive been posting about my experience and received an email from Maytag asking me to post feedback on their site, but it was rejected. Their note to me was “Our publication guidelines do not permit content that references a service policy, customer service interaction, or customer service question.” In other words, theyre not at all interested in customer service. Maytag/Whirlpool is no longer the brand to look for.

Purchased this Whirlpool made Maytag Stainless Steel dishwasher Feb 2013. By Jan 2017 the washer was no longer operational. Due to poor factory design the touch pad wiring harness was crushed during the initial assembly. The harness is routed behind the touch pad/pull handle faceplate in the door. The factory design provided no clearance for the harness. Obviously after little use (opening and closing of the door) the pinched portion of the harness behind the pull handle becomes compromised causing the ELECTRICAL SHORT.I phoned Whirlpool the maker of the Maytag Stainless Steel Dishwasher for assistance, all they offered was a repair plan in excess of $300.00. I purchased this supposedly quality American Made Whirlpool product as well as a range, microwave, washer and dryer in the spirit of supporting US labor. Now Im stuck with a dishwasher that has an ELECTRICAL SHORT, possibly a FIRE HAZARD and Whirlpool trying to milk me for more money. Please think twice before purchasing anything from this Michigan based company.

We bought this stove in 2014. One knob got stuck while my teenager was cooking food on the gas stove. He called me at work worried because he couldnt turn it off. My husband left work right away to go home. We thought it was just a bad plastic knob. Now a second knob is stuck in the on low position. There is a third knob that feels hard to turn. That will be 3 burners. This is ridiculous. Its a safety hazard. We consumers have to worry if the house will burn down, get CO2 in the air, and if our family and children are safe. We thought Maytag was a good appliance. I will not buy another Maytag. They should recall this stove top/oven. I have read so many of the same complaint on this website as well as online in general. I cant believe they continue to sell this with this much of a safety issue. Please take it off the market.

Purchased less than a year ago, Machine stopped working. Approved service company says no error codes visible must be ok. Machine still does not work month later, service again does not show up for call, following month same. Its still in warranty but they claim it is fine. Error code disappear right after popping-up no storage of error codes.. I had to buy small washer to manage home. Really bad choice of product. Will not use this brand again.

Maytag Bravos MVWB725BW - Purchased this washer last year and have been very unhappy with the way it washes. It is extremely harsh in the way the agitator moves the clothes. Because it has a low water level the clothes take quite a beating in the washing process. This is confirmed when I remove the clothes from the dryer and proceed to clean the lint filter. The filter is constantly full of lint, even after drying clothes that have been washed numerous times before. Additionally, the clothes, even though being put in evenly, end up bunching together.

Got the dryer free when we moved into our townhouse. We had been doing 2-3 loads a day for almost 8 years. The dryer was old when we got it. No complaints. Just wish there was some way to fix it. But mechanic said, No way. Almost a valued member of the family. Say 2 loads a day, 7 days a week, 52 days a year. This is a lot of loads. Remarkable. New machines cant do that today says our mechanic, they are not built to be fixed. Now, when broke, replace, don t fix.
