I have read all the complaints. I have similar issues with Maytag Bravos. I’m frustrated that modern tech products stink to high heaven, especially when we refer to clean clothes not being cleaned well. The specific issues I keep getting are the following: the LF codes appear and the cold water does not fill so that it wont rinse or drain. I have replaced the defective washers and that helped for one load. I refuse to fix it. Why throw good money out for the same bad product? I’m looking for a no bells and whistles washer or dryer that works. I have issues with the dryer, too. No more Maytag products in the future. Question: Who truly makes a good reliable product nowadays?

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Just DONT BUY this junk. We bought the washer and dryer set from Home Depot in 2011 and have had nothing but trouble with the washer. Three times small objects like dimes, pennies and nickels got past the agitator into the drain pump which has been replaced twice. Beneath the agitator we even found a few missing socks. Today after a visit to the Laundromat, we bought a Samsung with a 5 year extended warranty. If that doesnt work it will be an old fashioned Speed Queen next. We will never buy anything Maytag again and I hope to influence everyone we meet about them. I cant wait to throw it into the city landfill for recycle dog food cans.

I have a Maytag side by side. In the first year, the ice maker failed and I had to replace it (in warranty/no charge). In the fifth year, the compressor failed (no warranty) and it hasnt been replaced. Since then, I have been looking at reviews and warranties of new refrigerators. The warranties (unless you want to pay $3,000+) are all one year limited. The reviews are scathing and it doesnt matter what brand. My question is, why dont you/we all get together and file a class action suit and demand millions in damages? Complaining wont get you anywhere with these people; however, hitting them in the pocket book will make them pay attention, especially if the penalty is severe enough.

My new dishwasher had a defective board and worked erratically. Shortly after the warranty was up it stopped working completely. I contact both Maytag service and Home Depot on several occasions with no satisfaction. This a well known defect. Apparently the board replacement and service would cost in the range of $250-300. Too much for me as a senior on fixed income to justify. No dishwasher for almost a year. I then read an article indicating there was a class action settlement in California on the same make and model. I called Maytag again and after spending 2.5 hours on the phone I finally reach a person who sent out a service repair person. This person showed me a memo confirming the problem with the board. No recall but... if a customer is persistent they will give you the board. Finally new board installed at no charge.

We went to Lowe’s to buy a new washer when our old front loader would’ve cost more to repair than was worth it. This Bravo XL washer is the biggest rip off EVER!! I, like others, have watched with a flashlight & see that most clothes are nowhere NEAR being wet AT ALL!! Let me tell you... I am BEYOND LIVID!! I bought this washer thinking we could wash our comforter at home instead of a laundromat and WHAT A JOKE!! It would never even wet a FOURTH of a queen comforter, let alone the whole thing!! My husband had to actually LEAVE HIS JOB to go home and change because his shirts smelled like a wet animal! People actually were commenting on the smell!!Believe me, we tell EVERYONE how ridiculous this whole energy saving scam is!! AND... I am having to wash clothes TWO and THREE times to get them NEAR smelling normal!! My electric bill and water bill have gone up substantially and again, I AM LIVID BEYOND WORDS!! We spent over $900 for this washer with the extended warranty!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN WOULD I BUY MAYTAG!!! And I have tried EVERYTHING to try to rectify this; I added less detergent, I’ve used the deep water wash, extra rinses. I’ve had the Maytag technician here replacing the circuit board thinking perhaps THAT would give me more water. I sure wish we could all do something for SO MANY of us being taken advantage of!!! Did I mention I’m FUMING?!!?

Maytag 7000 series front loaders bought in 2013 on basis of high ratings from Consumer Reports. Also durable and look good in the process. Had for 3 years. Machines highly rated by Consumer Reports and bought on sale. They were a very good value. Both W & D have steam feature but find Ive rarely used it. Durability is key, as is the ability to balance wide variety of loads, which our machines do well. Capacity of 5 cu ft or better sufficient for a household of 2. Maytag reputation for durability and reliability and made in US, though a clone of Whirlpool. These are big, heavy machines, best for side by side but they can be stacked. The units are quiet, have more features than weve ever used and so far have been reliable, gentle on clothes incl delicates and drum bearings really help with keeping loads balanced. Door hinges built like a tank but the chassis theyre attached to arent up to par. W & D have stainless drums. Washer is resistant to mold & odors but dryer lint system convoluted in design and hard to clean out.

I bought the Maytag Bravo XL MVWB725W washing machine and dryer pair in August of 2015. 2 months after I bought the pair the thermostat went out on the dryer. It was under warranty so it was fixed and no problems after that. In July of 2016 I have my first stainless steel hose break at the fitting because of corrosion flooding my laundry room. I thought it was a fluke so I put another one. The next hose started to corrode in September 2016. We thought there was some weird chemical reaction going on between the hose and the filter on the back of the machine. So we changed to rubber hoses in September. Since then we have gone through 6 sets of rubber hoses. We have had the water company out, they say our water is fine. A plumber out, our new water heater is fine as is our plumbing. An electrician, who changed an outlet and put a grounding wire on our house water line. And an appliance repair man, he found the problem so he called Whirlpool who makes Maytag. There is corrosion on the water temp control. However nobody has EVER seen this problem and doesnt know how to fix it. Not even Whirlpool. And Whirlpool says its my house. Im at a dead end with a washer that is constantly going through hoses. It really doesnt wash clothes very well either unless you put a lot of stain remover on the clothing before and wash it in hot water. And yes it is noisy. Dont buy this product.

My washing machine is a Maytag Ive been using for over 27 yrs. I love the older, top loading machines because I like to take certain items out after 5 or less minutes. I renovated my kitchen 3 years ago. I decided on purchasing new appliances which included refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, range, washer and dryer, all of which I got from Maytag. Of course they were always known for dependability but apparently they were not! What happened to this American product? In the last 3 years, I have had my refrigerator (**) serviced 4 times for the same problem. Each time servicing has been a nightmare at the hands of AE service, Preway service and of course at the helm of my nightmare Maytag Customer service. The first mistake I made was purchasing Maytag products followed by the second mistake of purchasing Maytag service contracts. I now have a refrigerator that is not working, waiting on parts since end of august. When I called Maytag customer service, they confirmed the parts were not available and recommended I go online and try to find the part! This added insult to injury. Today, Preway service finally came to install my parts and upon technician’s arrival he opens the part box and realizes he ordered an ice tray cover, when he should have ordered an Interface Control Board. Maytag continues to have their products serviced by incompetent companies and appears to have no interest in keeping you as a customer after you purchase, whatever happen to the dependable people?Maytag had built their reputation on reliable products and dependable service, what happened to this American Made appliance? Here is a prime example of what happened, and why companies like LG and Samsung are gaining more and more customers every day. The best advice I can give someone is avoid Maytag. By the way, I forgot to mention I have 2 small children ages 3 and 4 and Maytag is not concerned about how I would provide food for them with a refrigerator that does not work. Shame! This is not what I expected from what I thought was a reliable company.

A week after warranty expired, our 1 year old Maytag gas range (model# MGR7662WS 4) required new Direct Spark Ignitor (DSI) board. Knowing it was just beyond warranty, I inspected wiring first and found that the Bake connector on the DSI was loose, flopping around from a bad solder point on the board. Called Maytag and informed them of this manufacturers defect and all they offered was a $20 discount on a replacement part ($220 instead of $240). It worked with new part for 4 days, then something else went bad causing oven to spark, light, heat to less than 100 degrees, then shut down, then restart, then shut down, then restart, then stop doing anything. It has never worked correctly since then. How can a manufacturer of almost all domestic brands get away with such shoddy workmanship.. Taking advantage of defective or poor quality parts to sell more of the same when they fail and for an enormous markup? Where are the regulators who oversee monopolies and blatant scamming of American consumers?

I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendale, AZ in September 2005. I even bought the stands for them. With my purchase, I got the extended warranty for four more years. I didnt realize that I would really need it. I have had so many issues with the washer and dryer I cant even count - from the control panel not working, to the noise and the vibration when washing, or maybe in the smell of moldy cheese. I also have issues with the constant chimes of D5 code that keeps coming up on the display screen. After 2009, I finally gave up on calling the Maytag customer service folks to have someone come and service the washer because it was out of warranty. I just decided to live with all those issues. As far as my dryer goes, the rollers went bad and that was replaced. The burnt smell isnt so bad as long as you use a wire hanger with a sock on the end of it and clean the inside of the vent. Then try to vacuum it, take the sock, get it wet, and clean the inside of the vent again. This was the most expensive piece of junk I have ever purchased in my life (almost $3,000.00 with the stands and warranty). What really gets me upset is I had the Maytag people servicing my washer and dryer up until 2009 and no one told me about a recall of my washer and dryer. The only reason I found out about it was searching for the specs as the washer finally died and I am replacing it. Trust me. I will not be purchasing a Maytag. I know that Whirlpool purchased Maytag so I am not even going to consider Whirlpool either. Since Whirlpool purchased Maytag, Whirlpool should have contacted all Maytag consumers, (which they didnt), put ads in newspapers (which I did not see) or put an ad on TV. None of these appeared to have happened.By the way, when I bought my Maytag appliances, I was supposed to get a $200 rebate for buying the stands that never came. It must have gotten lost in the mail - as well as the Tide coupons for three years. You, guys, remember that too. I will never ever purchase a Maytag appliance or Whirlpool, since they own Maytag now.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo washing machine last spring. It was easy to understand the instructions, but that is all that was good about it. Like everyone is saying. It doesnt wash the clothes completely. On every dark load I have what looks like streaks of lint. I contacted Maytag. They gave me suggestions for solutions. None of them worked. I have put the clothes on for a second rinse and spin and it got out some of the lint. Also. they are evidently spun so hard in the washer, after they come out of the dryer they are a wrinkled mess. All the wash and wear, which is almost everything we own, is wrinkled. I have to iron every item. Never again a Maytag for us. If there is a class action suit, I want in on it.

WOW! I cant believe I bought a Maytag MDB7749AWM1 Dishwasher without reading any reviews. Paid $650 for it a couple of years ago and the control panel is bad. $390 to repair it, unbelievable! Spent $5000 grand on new Maytag appliances thinking they were the best to replace the outdated ones. Not the same, not sure what youre doing Maytag but youre losing a lot of loyal customers. I have a Maytag dishwasher model mdb6759aws3. The control touch pad broke after 1.5 years of light use. It costs $475 to fix (includes labor). Completely unacceptable service provided by Maytag over the phone. The only concession offered was a 25% discount if I bought the replacement part (control touch pad) from them. After some internet research, I learned Maytag marks up their parts prices over 25% so they are really not giving you a discount at all.I filed a complaint with Maytag but they were unable to provide me with any evidence of doing such except for an 11-digit code. Due to a major defect, Maytag should have sent me the replacement part for free. I told Maytag I thought this was fair and that I would pay for the labor. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again! They are junk and the company does not practice common sense customer service.

Bought Maytag dishwasher 2007 at Lowes. Model mdbtt60aww-37837606ll manufactured in Benton harbor, Michigan. First got a recall that something was faulty, could cause fire, needed replacement. Took 2/3 weeks to get repaired. So couldnt use. Never quite cleaned good - many times had to rewash silverware, glasses. Never took off food unless very well rinsed. Today the control panel went. Called a local repair he said, Dont even fix. Toss and get a new one because its too costly to repair. I asked what should I get. He said no GE, they are getting out of appliances, no Samsung. Hes got whirlpool so guess Ill give that a try. In the past Ive had dishwashers 20 years, appliances 20 years. This junk lasts a year or two. Plastic cracks. None of these appliances are great anymore. Doesnt matter who you buy. Someone needs to get some quality control on what these companies are peddling .

In the past 20 years, we purchased a washer, dryer, stove and dishwasher... all Maytag. The washer (purchased 20 years ago) is still functioning well! The other three appliances have all given us trouble and the dryer is no longer with us. Our stainless stove is LOVELY but thats about all its good for. Within 12 months, one of the burners burned out... just beyond its warranty. It has two ovens and 3 years after purchase, neither will hold a constant oven temp and both take an eternity to warm up... although the digital temp on the oven tells me its toasty warm. Recently, the dishwashers control panel wont set properly. An attempt to set it for a normal wash/dry cycle results in rinse only and a 2 hour delay. Make them like you used to, Maytag! Im no longer a customer!!!

We purchased this washer 8 months ago, and still do not have a working unit. From the very beginning of installing the new washer we had repeated F4 and E1 error codes. A technician was sent out three separate times and they replaced the ACU each time only to have the same error codes recur. This unfortunately took 5 months as each time the ACU part was on backorder. After 3 failed attempts they agreed to replace the washer with a new one. We were dumbfounded when the new unit arrived and we had the same F4 and E1 error codes! They have again replaced the ACU and still we have the same error codes! They are sending yet another ACU but we have little confidence this will work and we are at a painful 8 months with no washer.

Maytag Bravos 300 Washer - Dont buy this washer! This expensive washer has been the worst household appliance Ive ever owned. We bought Maytag thinking we were getting the best. NOT SO! We could have spent half the money and got a better washer. Maytag is a brand of the past. Ive had this machine about 4 years and its been a problem since day 1. There is no soak cycle but I knew that from the beginning. The problems Ive had so far are: Not enough water so items dont get wet and have to wash again, Terrible wrinkles, torn sheets and garments, items still dirty, getting louder & louder, and the most recent problem is the plastic from the top edge of the tub is now shredding and getting sharp plastic pieces in my clothes.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 in June 09. The dryer timer has malfunctioned since shortly after purchase, it will add time near the end of the cycle, sometimes as much as an hour or more. We have had factory authorized repair firms (tried several) attempt to fix the problem both during the original warranty and extended warranty periods. They replaced the mother board twice and the moisture sensor on another occasion. All to no avail. Maytag has been worse than useless in the whole situation, and now will do nothing. It seems our only choice is to live with it, keep replacing parts, hasnt helped yet, or buy a new dryer. You can bet it will not be a Maytag! This situation is dangerous, if left unattended when the malfunction occurs the clothes and interior of the dryer get extremely hot. It is a potential fire hazard.

As with the other 100s of folks with the same problem, they basically said gee, you should have bought an extended warranty. If you have this many people with the same problem then it is Maytags problem, not the poor sucker consumer who got stuck with it. I purchased a Maytag Bravos 5 months ago. I had trouble at first with unbalanced loads. The repair man came to look at it twice. One thing that can unbalance your loads is if small pieces of laundry such as a sock gets outside the basket. Sometimes the basket has to be taken all the way out because small pieces can be lodged under the basket. This happens when you fill the machine too full and those small pieces float to the top.The suspension on my machine ended up needing to be replaced. I have read lots of reviews about soap rings in the clothes. That happens from using too much soap. Make sure you are using HE detergent for one. I cut way back on my soap and my laundry gets clean and no problems with residual soap on my clothes. I was very unhappy with my machine at first but now I absolutely love it!

We bought a Maytag gas range in Feb of 2011. Shortly after that, we started having an intermittent problem with the oven not maintaining the temperature. It sometimes would not heat up to the proper temp or sometimes would get there but not maintain it. We have had several service calls all for this same problem. Each time they would replace things... nothing worked! We called Maytag and they said they wouldnt replace the unit until the same part had failed 3 times. Well, the service company came out 5-6 different times in the first year and replacing the main panel twice and the sensor and some other thingies I dont even remember. Pretty soon the warranty was running out, so I bought an extended warranty due to the fact that the unit had never been fixed. They sent out two different service companies who also were unable to fix the unit. It is now 18 months since we bought it, and Maytag refuses to do anything since it is out of warranty and the extended warranty company will only replace the unit up to 75% of its cost. So yes, we are very angry with Maytag and the way they wont stand behind their product and their total disregard for their customers.

I constantly have to re-rinse clothes because of soap, lint, dirt, etc left on clothes. I wouldnt give away this washer to anyone, I would rather burn it. I run it 2 days a week sometimes more. The washer is between 25 and 30 years old. And works good still. Im not sure how much longer it has but we are happy with it. And soon Ill be washing for 7 kids. We have made a decision to start looking for another soon. But I wanted to share my story with you. My husband is now in his 40s if it says how long it has lasted. I called Home Depot where I bought the dryer (along with the washer). I thought I had purchased an extra warranty, but turns out I only had it on the washer - what was I thinking. I wish I had read these reviews before I made my purchase. My local repair man charged me $192.00 for a new heater and his time. Theres a whole 90-day warranty on the new heater!! I sure hope this one lasts more than a year otherwise Ill be buying a new dryer and it wont be Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag front load washing machine and dryer about 5 years ago. The front load washer is completely full of mold even though I have always followed the directions of wiping it out after each wash, leaving the door cracked, washing the machine with Affresh and even trying bleach and vinegar rinses. When I called customer service they refused to do anything about it. Then the dryer stopped working after 5 years and we had to get it serviced. Now, the door has completely come apart, as in every little piece has come off the handle and surrounding door frame. I have never seen anything like this on the oldest of machines and I have taken care of these appliances. I will never buy another Maytag...

Dishwasher cleans well, but the control console has failed again & only responds to two functions. After replacing the console a couple of years ago with a new unit I thought it was done (it didnt get much use). Is there any recourse for this complaint? All I want is a new console panel. Maytags brand is apparently only good on the commercials. Very disappointing. Also, the top rack is very awkward & is only good for short glasses etc.

Bought a Maytag HE top load washing machine (Model MVWB765FW) in Jan of 2019. As I write this the repairman is banging away on the machine to replace the gearbox that had gone bad. This is the second time a repairman has been out to work on the machine. The first time was to replace a bad water pump, which was when the machine was about six months old. Maytag would have you believe that Power and Durability Come Standard. So too, apparently, are visits from the repairman. To its credit it does a good job cleaning clothes - when its working. If youre going to buy this machine, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty - youre going to need it.

Washer was purchased at Lowes under direction from staff... Great washer, environmentally better, less water consumption... Well washer is piece of crap. Activator is out, door stays locked, have to unplug to release every time used, water does not drain and cycles do not function or start. Lowes no longer carries product and all other review on spot as to cost to repair... Piece of crap, loss of $600.00+. Could be used as target practice, best case scenario.

Just had the repairman here. This machine is computerized so it won’t last. It does not have a setting that lets me do any load of laundry the way I need to do it. I have to use heavy duty to do a load and then it takes 2 hours. When I want to do a load of sweaters on delicate it will not put near enough water in the machine to wash them. The normal cycle does not add enough water to wash, let alone rinse the clothes. I can’t choose the size of the load based on how much I need to wash so I have to do more loads at 2 hours each or do everything on bulky. Whoever came up with all this needs to be fired. I am extremely unhappy with this machine and I have loved Maytag for years. No more.

We purchased our Maytag Refrigerator Model # MBF2258DEHM on 12/21/2015. Just a couple of issues I would like to bring to your attention before you purchase your Maytag. The single refrigerator door does not close automatically. You have to close the door. The metal handle is metal and has a metal smell and feel to it. The stainless steel door and the handles are not the same finish. Although this might not be a problem for some who like the industrial look I prefer my hands to be free of chemicals while I am preparing food. The ice maker takes up too much room. The ice maker should have been an option, not a standard item. I had a Kitchen Aid for 10 years and loved it. I thought I was going to have my Kitchen Aid for 15 years or more. I would have purchased another Kitchen Aid, but the reviews were not good.

We purchased a high-end stainless steel interior/exterior unit in January 15. It is now July 15 and we have not been able to get any use out of it. Day 1 washer leaked. Full day off for service. Guy told us we were using the wrong soap. It leaked on the very next wash. Called again. They forgot to check the soap dispenser. Another service/day off. Leaked again! Another service call/day off. They replace the dispenser & seal. Now washer no longer leaks but the dishes are dirty and wet even days later. Another service call. Another new part. And now we are waiting for our 5th service call. We paid for a new unit and have a refurbished cobbled together piece of junk. Maytag stubbornly refuse to replace this unit.

We purchased a Maytag washer model MVWC400XWO almost 2 years ago and it has problems with the bearings and the whole computer board is defective. I was told to buy the extended warranty for $350, which we did. As of today, we were told by extended warranty they are refunding our money because there are so many things wrong with this washer, including the whole computer board, that it would cost them too much to fix or replace it. Im in complete shock. We paid well over $500 and are still making payments on it. I spent the day reading hundreds of reviews from people with these exact same problems and Maytag is aware of it and will not help. They should not be selling these anymore. Im completely sick to my stomach. I cant afford another washer and when I called Maytag, they said it was past the year and we are out of luck. I cant believe this can happen to people and they get away with it. A washer should last longer than 2 yrs. There are hundreds of people going through this with Maytag and no one will help.

We received our new Maytag French door refrigerator today via delivery and got everything set up and magnets stick to the front. The last I checked magnets should not stick to stainless steel. So I called the Menards where we purchased the refrigerator almost 2 1/2 weeks ago and the store manager said there was metal liner under the stainless steel and states this on the technical specifications. And everywhere I went to look under the technical specifications NOWHERE does it state there is a metal liner underneath and even if there was the top is stainless steel regardless so why would magnets stick to it. I paid for a Maytag and basically got a cheap piece of crap Frigidaire or Whirlpool and paid extra for Maytag to stick a Maytag label on it. What a joke. If I have any other problems I will personally deliver this refrigerator to Maytag/whirlpool corporate and put it on the front step. I am VERY ANGRY!!

Fire Danger. We had a power outage and my Maytag gas range/double oven (Model: MGR6875ADS) was dead after the power came back on. We figured it was the control board and braced for the expense to replace it. A few days later, I plugged the oven back in just to see if it would work and it did! The control panel came back on and we were up and running. The good news end there. On Christmas Eve, we came home to a house full of smoke with fire alarms buzzing. A butcher block style cutting board that was on top of the range with Santas cookies on it was on fire. Twenty more minutes and the house would have been gone.

I just started searching the web for information on this item due to the problem I am having. My Neptune Front Loader Model MAH55FLBWW washer makes horrible noises when on spin cycle, and is out of alignment so that the hard plastic bit around the opening is being scraped off. Some of my more delicate items have been ruined or damaged due to this. I bought the Neptune washer/dryer set with stands probably 10 years ago from Home Depot. I am sure the warranty has long since expired, and I have not contacted anyone about possible repairs. At this time, I am not financially able to do much about this. I have never had much of an issue about mold, no issues at all with the dryer, and no motherboards needing to be replaced. From reading what others have had to deal with on this site, I consider myself lucky.

Dryer wont dry/ service at dead end. So in 2018 we purchased a Maytag Bravos washer/dryer set. The washer does its job, it washes clothes acceptably. The dryer, which has the sole purpose of drying clothes, DOES NOT dry clothes. It leaves each and every load damp. Two to three cycles are required for even the lightest fabrics to dry. The functionality of this machine is so awful. I had the dealer replace it only to find that the awful noises that the machine makes, the fact that the clothes don’t get covered by the water and the clothes are so knotted after the spin cycle you have to untie them is normal for this awful appliance. In the sensing stage the machine groans like a laboring motor around 30 times, then stops with a jolt. My machine is next to the bedrooms and the noise wakes people up. Even in the “deep water” setting, the clothes are not covered by the water. The wash cycle is short and noisy and the spin cycle goes on forever. In the end I have to untie the legs of pants. Whoever designed this machine should be ashamed of herself or himself. Shame on Maytag.

Faulty Maytag MDB8969 Dishwasher - BEWARE! Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Amana, Mayt
Faulty Maytag MDB8969 Dishwasher - BEWARE! Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Amana, Maytag, KitchenAid... Are all brands that fall under Whirlpool. According to Better Business Bureau statistics there is less than 1 chance in 10 that you will get the Whirlpool product you are expecting! We purchased a new Maytag dishwasher at the end of 2016. Within a couple of weeks the dishwasher began failing: discharge pumps, heating elements, soap dispensers, door leaks, faulty racks, rinsing problems... Since purchasing the machine we have had to make 7 different service calls, all under warranty. The warranty service providers have been good but the machine has been a catastrophe, having been out of commission for several of the 18 months since being installed, and causing serious water damage to our kitchen floor (based on several other negative reviews this leaking is not an uncommon occurrence).A few months into owning the machine, after our 3rd service call, we contacted Whirlpool, Customer Service and asked for the machine to be replaced. They refused to replace the machine but extended our warranty free of charge- better than nothing but not a cure to the problem and the only remedial action that Whirlpool was willing to offer. We didnt understand at that point that the problem of faulty and defective Whirlpool products was probably so huge that Whirlpool could not afford to provide a reasonable solution to their customers; leaving many, as witnessed on various product review sites, to bear the extreme frustration and associated expenses borne from the incurred failures. Unfortunately, here we are once again, requesting our 7th service call in less than 18 months, and asking once again for a replacement. The Whirlpool response this time (CSR was not allowed to let us speak to her Supervisor in spite of trying to negotiate that for several minutes) was that they would not replace the defective machine but would sell us a new $850 machine for $250 and would dispose of the faulty machine for an additional $25. Whirlpool would not however pay for the uninstall of the faulty unit nor the install of the new unit (about $350) which would have to come out of our pocket. We won’t be spending the additional $600 to fix this problem as proposed by Whirlpool; we won’t be installing another Maytag product in our home. We were advised that we could fill out a form if we wanted, to try and claim for the damages which the dishwasher caused to our kitchen floor. The form was never emailed as agreed and now we are just really tired of the whole experience so will simply put this all behind us.Our Whirlpool experience has been extremely stressful and quite expensive. It is clear to us that if an appliance which is averaging a serious failure every 3 months since the first day of installation, does not in the opinion of Whirlpool warrant a full and prompt replacement, or even the direct telephone attention of a Customer Service Supervisor, that the Whirlpool quality standard must be so low, the failure frequencies so high, that the number of similar failures prohibits any commercial viability to manage the problems in a reputable manner. Whirlpool clearly has some very large problems. It would not have been easy to destroy the once highly respected Maytag name. Such degradation could only take place as a result of continuous and ongoing Whirlpool quality degradation. We will no longer be their ‘crash test dummies’ but I do hope for the sake of Whirlpool (apparently North American made) that they take ownership of their poor quality condition, realign and spend the next few years becoming the company that we all once knew and respected.

Built a new house, bought new appliances for the kitchen. Like others, did all the research, wanted to buy American made. Wow, did we ever make a mistake. Refrigerator is just over 2 years old. It is worthless. Repairman, Maytag Certified, says that it appears to be internal problems and probably come from the factory that way. He suggested I contact Maytag directly and they should be able to make things right for me and my family. So, I called, sat on hold for 10-15 minutes, and was finally connected to a customer service employee. I explained all that I knew about the problem, she pulled the repairmans notes and the notes of the technician that had spoken with the repairman. After reviewing the file, she informed me that my 2-year-old refrigerator was out of warranty and there was nothing that could be done. What ever happened to American Made companies standing behind their product? I didnt spend $2000 on a refrigerator that would last me 2 years. I expected 7-10 years, AT LEAST! I expected a company with the name MAYTAG to show some shame for creating a piece of junk and charging a customer this much money for something they know is obviously flawed from the factory. Shame? No. Guilt? None whatsoever.Caution to those considering a Maytag product. Run away! Go find a more reputable company. Go find a company who views customer service and quality products as a priority. I didnt purchase the cheapest refrigerator on purpose. I paid extra for American made and what I thought was a quality product sold by a quality company. Reality has now set in.

Purchased new Maytag Refrigerator from Mannys in Western MA. Top freezer, over $900.00. Never has worked correctly. We need to turn the freezer way up to freeze the ice cream and it forms frost all around the freezer with mini icicles hanging! But even worse... no matter what setting you put the refrigerator on it ruins your food by freezing everything. The only safe spot is in the deli drawer. I have thrown away hundreds of dollars worth of food that is destroyed because it froze in the refrigerator.A service man from Mannys came and ordered parts. He came back and said they were the wrong parts. Now he says that the refrigerator has a problem and Maytag is trying to come out with a plan on how to fix it. I talked with Maytag (took 44 minutes to get someone on the phone). The manager in service was rude, said they dont replace food and they would work on fixing it. 2 weeks later... no calls from either place. I called Mannys and they said they should have some news by next week. In the meantime I dont have a refrigerator that works! NEVER BUY A MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR!!! The frontload washer 4000 series began making a very loud noise on spin. I called Maytag and requested service. The technician came and made a diagnostic evaluation, stating this has been a bearing defect affecting several of these models. I called Maytag, and the representative agreed to ship the parts at no charge. A week later, we received the parts, only for the technician to find one of the parts damaged in shipping perhaps. So another part was sent directly to the Maytag dealer. Upon my research, this appears to be a known issue with the Maytag/Whirlpool corporation, and I found where customers had requested Maytag to also be responsible for the service/labor costs, which were also covered by Maytag. I made the call today and was advised no and to be happy that Maytag paid for the parts due to a known defect and that no service or labor charges would be covered. I understand my machine is out of warranty, but this is a known defect; its nothing caused by my self.

We purchased the Maytag dishwasher model # MDB4949SDZ almost one year ago. Since the beginning there has been a smell to our drinking glasses when we put drink in them...smells like boiled eggs. We have always used Cascade dishwasher pods, but suddenly our dishes were being left with a gritty feeling film on them and I had to run them under water to rinse them after taking them out of the dishwasher. This model showed on Lowes website that it has a food grinder, but it cannot even get rid of a single kernel of corn that might get left on a plate. After a load is completely washed and you open the door, there is a strong smell of detergent. If you run an EMPTY dishwasher with NO soap it creates an abundance of suds like there is still soap all in the tub!!The repairman came out and called Maytag and they ran a diagnostic check on it and it said everything was okay. He said to run a cup of white vinegar through it and I did. It didnt help. Still lots of suds being produced when I run a cycle with NO dishes and NO soap!!! He said the food grinder doesnt actually grind or dispose of small particles of food, just grease!! What?!!!! We had to PAY $92 for the service call even though it is still under warranty just because the repairman and the Maytag guy on the phone couldnt figure out why this dishwasher is a hunk of junk!!!! Also, the top rack has clips on the side to lower and raise the rack. The outer sides of the top rack will only hold smaller glasses because these clips get in the way. I hate this dishwasher so much!!! My 18 year old Kenmore ran like a charm until Hurricane Harvey flooded our house. I will never buy a Maytag appliance again!!!

No chemicals have been used to clean this oven.Customer service of maytag stated that this stove only has a one year warranty... so if you buy any maytag just remember one year and when it breaks down the cost to fix will be more than a new defective maytag stove. I will not purchase another maytag product and I do not recommend that this manufacturer be considered when purchasing any appliance.

I bought a Maytag Washer in October of 2012. So far we have had to have repairs to it (4) times. The motor falls out. We are very dissatisfied with the product. We have always purchased Maytag products and fee we should get a new washer. The warranty is up in one month. If there is anything you can do to help it would be appreciated. A $1,000.00 for a washer is a lot of money for something that does not work and takes a week to get a repairman. Thanks.

I bought a Maytag washing machine, model number MHW6630HW2 in January 2021. It works fine on ordinary loads, but it cannot spin the water out of bulky items, not on any setting. I put my machine-washable winter coat in the washer and it left it full of water. I re-tried on 4 different settings, and though the washer spins, it cant spin out the water. I went to the Maytag support site. The sites said my model doesnt exist. The phone number for support does not allow you to get any support other than a service call. The Chat option doesnt give a lot of support either. They said that if I call for a service appointment and the service technician finds that the machine does do a spin cycle, then the appointment is not covered under warranty.

We bought the Bravo washer and dryer in 10/2009. Since then the dryer has never worked well. Weve had at least 8 service calls on same and the sensor doesnt work, i.e. says the clothes are dry when they arent and we always have to run them through at least two-timed cycles to make them completely dry. The washer is another nightmare. At least 8 service calls as well, and after one where the motor was replaced, it popped off and flooded my entire house. They laundry room is located on the second floor. I had to replace floors, walls, ceiling, light fixtures, etc. Insurance covered it but it never shouldve happened. Now the washer doesnt drain properly and the error code LD displays every load and we must manually drain it by either setting an extra drain cycle or take the entire machine apart and vacuum out the water. Each load takes twice the amount of time it should, if not more. But I guess its okay because the dryer takes just as long to dry a load of clothes. Something has to be done. Maytag is refusing to stand behind their products and it seems as though many of the complaints are for the same issues. Is there a lemon law for household appliances?

I have a MGDB850WR0 Maytag Dryer. I have had to replace the thermo sensor/heat sensor three times in the past three years. Dryer takes forever to dry. I spoke to the repairman who told me in confidence that his company receives a lot of calls about this specific dryer for the same reason. He said the part was originally made faulty and thats why it keeps going out. The part being the thermo sensor/heat sensor.

My Maytag Neptune washer was purchased last October 2010. In the past few months, the washer has been making a loud noise when spinning/washing. I had a Maytag repairman look at the washer, and all the barring, etc. needed to be replaced, which would have a cost of over $450.00! I am very upset with this outcome and just looked into it and found that this washer had recalls that the consumers were not properly notified about. The lack of recall communication is inexcusable, especially since I even went as far as to buy a 3-year extended warranty and still was not notified. What really set this situation was that the repairman suggested to not buy a Maytag washer and he added that it would not be a problem since Maytag has been purchased by Whirlpool and that the Neptune washer played a part of the ending of Maytag! This whole situation has really put a bad taste for any Maytag product, and all of my major appliances are Maytag as well as the dryer I just purchased a week ago, before I knew about all of the disappointment of Maytag. I am sure the response I will be getting will be as good as the notification of the recall, which will be nothing. Thanks!

Now, after Ive just paid $129 for a service call through their designated repair service, I was informed it will cost $700 to fix this washer. I use the washer on average of three times a week. I bought the Maytag Centennial Washer a year ago. I have had nothing but problems. The clothes never get fully wet so you have to wash clothes 2 or 3 times. The lid does not open when running. So you cant put soap after the clothes are damp. I say damp because they dont get wet. Right now the sensing light has been on for 2 hours. I need to catch a flight in the morning and I cannot wash my clothes! My white clothes never get clean. I have to wash 2 or 3 times. Actually 4 time would work better. The water and electric wasted with washing over and over again is nuts. Stay away. Ive warned you!

I suppose I am the lucky one in that the Maytag Bravos was given to me free. I took out a perfectly good Maytag standard agitator washing machine and replaced it with this several years old unit. What a mistake! I read the other reviews and see that I share the same problems. I always get a the oL fault as soon as it goes to do the final spin. So I have to reset and try again. Also I have seen the same kind of dirt on the clothing as others report. I dont know that I will waste my time contacting anyone about the fault code. I may just put the old one back in and scrap this thing!

I purchased my Bravo (MVWB300WQ2) washer a little over two years ago. It took all day to wash some loads due to leveling problems. Example, you could not put more than two bath towels in at a time, even with the towel setting. The washer would stop and you have to re-position the towels. You cannot leave because it stopped so often. Also, the washer makes an extremely loud noise during the spin cycle. My most recent problem, it does not complete the spin cycle. My clothes are still very wet. I refuse to call service. Its just too costly. It would be the third time in less than 3 years. However, the first time was within the year warranty (no charge). The basket had to be replaced - it was ripping my clothes. During my second service call, the technician advised me in purchasing an extended warranty. I paid for the service call and for a one-year extended warranty which just recently ended. The washing machine is not worth paying for service again. I am going to purchase a new machine instead!

The dishwasher (model number MDB7100AWW, serial number 158462977YH) that was replaced due to recall for fear of fire hazard has only lasted two years. Is there any recall on the recall? Our dishwasher was purchased in 2001. We live approximately 30 miles from the former location of Maytag manufacture, Newton, IA. In our 39 years of marriage, we have always had Maytag appliances: washer, dryer, fridge, and dishwasher with long lasting results. Our previous dishwasher lasted 23 years. It is very disappointing to feel the need to replace a Maytag appliance, which weve always felt was industry standard after such a relatively short life! It no longer fills correctly, and trouble has been diagnosed by service tech as bad control board. It seems theres a possibility of fire hazard once again. Can you offer any help short of replacing appliance as cost of repairs does not seem effective? Thank you in advance for your attention.

I bought this POS and paid almost 1000. Out the door with tax, hoses, delivery, etc. And it is by far the worst most useless pile of crap I have ever purchased. It just does not work!!! Its a washer that does not wash. It uses enough water to wash one sock and that still comes out stinky.. All my clothes no matter what cycle I use including deep fill power wash or if I add my own buckets full of water to the 1.5 hour wash cycle still come out dirty, stinky, stained and caked with detergent...Hey Maytag heres a hint. You need water to wash clothes and you need agitation to get out the soil, the dirt, the sweat, the stains, the stink and your washer does none of that. In fact I could get my clothes cleaner if I out them in the bath tub and swished them around with a broom stick for 3 mins. How could you go from the loneliest man on earth to the biggest scammer on earth by producing this boondoggle... P.S. Its only me and my wife. We are retired and our clothes are not even that dirty... Its just common sense. No water no action no clean. Ill never ever ever buy anything that says Maytag on it ever ever again and you can bet your life Im telling everyone I know this story.

We bought Maytag Dishwasher on October 9, 2019. Due to the installation difficulties we were not able to install and try it right away. Lowes warranty expired in 30 days, and the dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes. Even with the hand prewash of all of them-they come out dirty. I have to clean them after. The dishwasher is very weak. We contacted Maytag and were told that they can do nothing for us, only send technician (we have to pay $160 per visit). We can not return or replace it, the quality is very poor, so we will have just to buy a new dishwasher and lose 500$ for this product.

We purchased this machine (Bravos XL top load washer) in August and its been nothing short of a disaster. It doesnt clean anything. Within two washes my cloth diapers were unusable, loaded with ammonia and stains. Our camping clothes wreaked of smoke. I tried multiple cycles, more detergent, less detergent, larger loads, smaller loads. Doesnt matter. It doesnt clean. I called customer service within a week and waited 6 weeks for a service call. Into third trimester of pregnancy and recovering from an MVA, I was washing soiled clothing by hand in bathtub desperate for help. I only wish Id known about their 30 day money back guarantee. After many calls, no shows and cancelled appointments, the first tech comes. He tells me the machine is fine. They just dont clean well. Hes not surprised. I call the appliance shop, they said the same thing. That they wouldnt have sold me the machine if they knew I had dirty laundry to wash. (Who washes clean laundry?). They wont help us. We call Maytag back. They send another tech. He says the same thing. Tells us to keep complaining to Maytag. I call again and they tell me that if I want a service tech, I have to pay. Theyve deleted all my feedback from their social media site and refuse to provide any assistance. The machine is nice looking and makes big promises but thats where it ends. Save your money. Youll get better results with your grandmas washboard.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Cookeville TN. In 2018. After a year it quit. The service man from the authorized dealer in Cookeville could not repair it. After numerous calls Maytag sent a service man to repair it, this took about three weeks. This washer is a Maytag industrial, it has a 5 year parts and labor warranty, and 10 years on the motors. Now it is out again, after calling Maytag, and holding on the line for an hour, finally I had to chat with someone, and they set up an appointment for about 3 days. So service company call now and says it will be another week before they can sent someone to look at it, and another week to get the parts. They also questioned my warranty. I gave high dollar for this washer, what’s happened to Maytag?

Product number MMV4205DS. Beautiful, felt solid. Right away when we would put in a time to cook and hit start, the thing would say Open Close Door. First we thought it was moisture, and we would wipe the seal, then lifting the door a little helped. A month might go by and we would repeat this process. I did a little research and found the microwave is known for this. After the warranty was up, it got worse. My husband put a little screwdriver in the door clamp. The plastic guard that held the door shut fell behind the opening. Mulling over whether to call for repairs or buy a new one, we decided the latter. I am buying another one just like it, because the holes in the wall will match for an easy swap and it matches my suite. This time I took out the 3 year warranty, which I will hold Maytag responsible for any more problems. They say if they come and fix it 4 times in a year they will declare it a lemon and replace. I figure this will work in my favor because the microwave lasts a year!

Dishwasher Model #MDB7609AWW2 - I have replaced the touchpad once a year for 4 years. Went online and learned a DIY repair using a Permatex Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit to fill in the touchpad broken circuits. I have repaired it once a year for 2 years. My suggestion is to avoid purchasing this product. Apparently even after multiple consumers have contacted Maytag regarding this widespread defect, Maytag has not issued a recall or assisted anyone. They say if the part can be replaced there is no issue. When the dishwasher works, it is great, however it WILL NOT last. Touchpad will fail and you will be out $124 for the part plus labor unless you do the repair yourself.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT60AWB purchased from Lowes about 8 or 9 years ago. This model was included in the huge 2010 recall of 1.7 million units due to the possibility of heater-unit fires. For the last couple of years, its had a problem staying on the selected cycle: After being started on normal wash, it reverted to rinse only after a few seconds, but eventually quit responded to the selection of other cycles altogether. Removing the back from the door to expose the innards revealed the ribbon cable that connects the circuit-board head to the control panel had worked loose. Reattaching it provides a temporary fix, but it eventually works loose again. We suppose the screw holding the back to the door will strip sooner or later, but by then well probably be so fed-up with fixing it that buying a new (non-Maytag) one wont seem like a bad option.

This is the worse designed product. The gaskets on the door keep making mold. The end caps that hold the pantry lid keeps snapping off, had to replace them twice. It is a very elaborate and complicated installation which of course they will not cover. The water dispenser is inside the left side of the fridge and the water runs so slow, that you lose a lot of the refrigeration by the time you fill a glass. This appliance is very noisy. The customer service is sometimes nonexistent. I called on 9-16, I waited 24 min on the line and decided to hang up. The next day I tried again after 15 min they hang up on me. I tried again later got Customer service, but no they could not help me with installation of a replacement for a warrantied part that snapped off for no reason at all. I have complained while this appliance was under warranty, and after. They do not care. My advice is stay clear of Maytag refrigerator, I CERTAINLY WILL.

3 months after we purchased our Maytag dishwasher in Jan 2014 (Sears) it broke. The service person told us that the ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL (START, CANCEL, WASH CYCLE SELECTIONS) was a common breakage issue and fixed it. It broke again around one year from our purchase date. Same issue, but kept working and not working. Finally we contacted Maytags customer service. Although courteous the only thing we were offered for this common Maytag issue was a $249.95 one year warranty for them to come and fix this recurring problem. I explained that we had already spent about $870 (including tax, delivery and installation) for our middle of the line dishwasher one and a half years ago and asked if they would consider either charging us for a smaller service call/repair or just do it because it seems to be a design and manufacturing issue. After one hour and no sympathy I had to pay the $249.95 to get a repair person out and be covered for one year from today. I dont trust the cheap quality and the lack of support for the product. THEY ARE OUT THERE TO SELL MORE INSURANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESNT MATTER!
