I purchased this washer on 5-25-15. It was delivered on 6-2-15. It worked for 11 days. On the 13th, I called Maytag and made an appointment for it to be fixed. They said a technician would be out on the 16th to fix it. I got a call on the 15th saying the part they needed was not released yet so they would be out on the 23rd. The guy comes on the 23rd and diagnoses the problem. He says the machine has a bad motor and shock of all shocks. He doesnt have the part to repair it. They originally assumed it was something else and were wrong. Fantastic. He said he would be back on the 30th. I got a call on the 29th saying that, once again, the part needed to fix it was not released and that they would call me to make another appointment when it was available. I had enough. I originally purchased with Home Depot and called my original salesman. He told me he would replace the washer with any brand I wanted (I paid the difference in cost of course) but I was still relieved that he was willing to work with me. I ended up going with an LG. Lets hope that one works. I have 2 kids and have been having to go to the laundromat. I have to say that I loved the machine for the 11 days it worked! I would probably still have it if they had better customer service but Im not going to continue to put up with them not having whats needed to fix this thing.

I bought this wash (XL HD) 1 1/2 years ago. From the time the people installed it it never worked correctly. I have never wanted to beat up an appliance before, but this washer makes me so mad that I am ready to just throw it out and buy a new one even though I paid 600.00 for it and it was more than I would ever pay for a washer. I bought this so I could wash my comforters mainly. Well I cannot wash comforters unless I wash them 5 times or at least try to wash them 5 times or more. They get unbalanced and then the machine shuts off. After doing everything from changing the hoses like somebody else suggested, it still didnt work. Along my troubles with trying to rinse and drain I did find something new that I didnt know I could do for all these months is when you put your machine on rinse, spin, dry and the extra rinse light pops on, click it and turn it off, then it reduces the spin time to 15 minutes instead of 26. Also now I have to just let my hose drain on the floor of my outside wash room because if I hook it up through the wall to drain outside it just stops with the LF code. So I have 2 inches of water on my washroom floor and it really sucks. This is the only way I can get the machine to work without turning itself off. Very disappointed with this machine that appears to be so large (looks can be deceiving). It cannot wash hardly anything and this machine should be taken off the market. It is garbage. I really wish this did work because I have spent too much time trying to rewash, respin, get all the water out of the clothes so I could dry them. This should be banned and not sold by any store.

I had a 1 1/2 yr old front load washer. I was worried the filter might have a lot of dog hair in it so I called to just have it looked out. I couldnt remember if I had an extended warranty. Thought it would be listed with Maytag. They said no. I said OK. They recommended A+ to come out and said it would be $60.00. That was OK because I wanted to prevent any problems with the washer in the future. I thought them checking it would be a preventative measure. The tech came out opened it up said there wasnt much hair or any other problems. Put it back together, plugged it in. There was a Big popping noise and smoke! Washer no longer worked. The man said doesnt make sense but he would fix it and not charge me for parts etc. I called Maytag. They refused to do anything since it was out of warranty even though they recommended this company and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it in the beginning.After about 2 months he still couldnt fix it. About this time I found papers for a warranty with the Home Depot. The repairman said he works with Home Depot as well. Told me to contact them but I needed to pay $120.00 to him and file a claim and then he would fix it. Apparently he does not do service work for Home Depot. They sent out other repairmen. They tried to fix it but apparently it was deemed unserviceable he blew the mother board. Home Depot said they would replace or reimburse me the amount I paid for washer. Then a machine called said they were sending me a check. We will probably never buy another Maytag! Even though I want to buy American if they wont help or stand behind their products. I now have an LG we bought from Pacific Sales with a cheaper warranty and much better customer service.

This washer ( MHW3505FW) leaks, is crazy loud, water wont drain, clothes smell bad after washing, defective drain pump, defective mother board. Only had 2 1/2 months and it broke. Maytag refused to refund me and Lowes refused as well. Thankfully I paid by credit card. Am disputing the charge. Terrible washer should be recalled. Many complaints on this washer. Very disappointed and upset.

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I would have bought a new dishwasher for that price, but I was already in for almost $200.00. They dont give you prices upfront.

MODEL: MFI2265XEM1 - ice maker dispenser leaked water while under warranty; took two separate technician trips to repair. Several months later, called Maytag regarding leak and ice at bottom. Technician replaced w/ grommet w/ larger dia drain tube extension; smaller dia causing backup of water & ice. Now, ice maker quit working completely, ice buildup in bottom part of refrigerator and freezer building up frost which means air is getting into the freezer, and yes, the freezer door is completely shut! Please advise if there is a class action suit. Will contact California Attorney Generals office.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWM2 on 02 Jan 2012 with no issues whatsoever until three days ago when it stopped working altogether and after doing a series of tests I discovered that Im joining a large and growing list of owners with the same problem. I never have been a fan of digital controls due to their vulnerability to temperature and humidity conditions or high impacts for that matter. Ive owned many dishwashers of various brands for upwards of 10 years on average each. This is the first one not equipped with analog/mechanical controls. Im hoping I can still find more of that type.

I have the same complaint as everyone else. I have had my dishwasher since April 2013. Less than 9 months after having it the control panel went out and they came and replaced it. Now June 2015, 2 years and 2 months after purchasing and a year and a half after the control panel was replaced, none of the buttons work except the cancel button. How is it that these machines, as expensive as they are, crap out after 2 years! Such a waste on money!! Maytag has lost my business forever!!

Have had nothing but trouble with this fridge! Ice forms at bottom of freezer with frost all over top shelf. Ice maker no longer works. 3 years old for goodness sake. Had repairman replaced all lines, and still have the problem. Heard you have to unplug fridge for 24 hours to solve problem EVERY 2 Months! I Guess the Maytag repairman stays lonely because they dont stand behind their product! Hate it!!

In October of 2012 we bought a Maytag Refrigerator Model MFF2258VEM. In the spring and summer of 2014, we noticed puddling on our kitchen floor. We thought it was our dishwasher or sink since the $1800+ fridge was new, but couldnt find the problem. We travel a lot and are gone for extended periods. When we returned in winter of 2014, we discovered that there was substantial puddling and found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment. We did research and found that this is a common problem with all the bottom-freezer Maytag models, which then leak. We discovered that the leak had seeped into our kitchen sub-floor and was destroying all of our kitchen floor tile, causing cracking and breaking, a renovation of just a few years previous that cost a lot of money. There was NO problem with the floor until we put in this Maytag refrigerator. The remedy for the leaking is constant maintenance and a lot of work, totally ridiculous for a product that costs so much. I want to sue Maytag for both replacement of the refrigerator and the cost of replacement of my tile floor. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

I have a Maytag Performa washing machine (model no. PAVT234AWW) and called the Maytag parts department to order a plastic pulley for the main drive motor. I was told I would have to purchase the 189 dollar motor just to get the plastic pulley. After two days web searching and calling local appliance stores I found that Whirlpool who uses the same drive motor sells the pulley (part no. 21001108) for 9 dollars. The Whirlpool pulley is even made out of stronger plastic. I just wonder how many Maytag customers have had to purchase a drive motor like I was told I had to by Maytag just to fix a 9 dollar pulley. I got lucky and my problem was solved, but only because a local store happened to have this particular problem so frequently that they were able to help me out when Maytag should be the ones helping out their customers better. I have had this range (Maytag MER8775AS electric range) for 36 days. The hot surface indicator light doesnt come on (bulb is fine) and the heat elements turn on and off on their own when I am cooking. 36 days! This thing is junk! I am going to see if I can return it, even though it is outside the 30-day window.

We purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. The thermostat control (a circuit board made in China) broke and was replaced in 2012 by a certified repair person. He reminded me to dust underneath regularly, which Ive done. A couple of weeks ago I noticed some darkening of my wood floor to the left of the refrigerator and so I pulled it out from the wall a bit. What I saw was that my entire floor was wet and falling apart under the left side and when I looked into the freezer, I pulled out the bottom basket and the bottom was covered in about an inch of ice.I called, posted on Facebook and was put on hold several times for as long as 20 minutes before I hung up. I called Home Depot and asked them to intervene and speak to a rep from Maytag. I have heard nothing. There is black mold in the corner of my kitchen and a soaked floor that may go way beyond. I googled the leak and apparently this is very common with Maytag French Door refrigerators. I have a meeting with an attorney. Getting through to Maytag is seemingly impossible unless you have hours to wait on the phone. We have been getting sick for months and not knowing the cause.

I bought my washer in 2016 and now it’s broke again. This is the fourth time! I’ve gone everything to take care of this and it’s a lemon! I will never buy Maytag again. I want to buy USA products but four times for repairs in three years is way too many. I guess it doesn’t matter what name is on it. My last washer was a GE and was still running after 15 yrs when I bought this one. Not one repair ever made on it! I’m telling everyone to stay away from maytag.

We purchased the washer and dryer in June 2009. This past weekend, I noticed that the washer was leaking. The price to fix it is half of what a new machine will cost. I am very disappointed in Maytag. When I purchased the machines, I thought I was purchasing a quality product. Ive had paid much less for washers that last longer. Needless to say, I am shopping for another washer this week and it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool. They are pieces of junk!

The unit has an ice maker. On a regular basis, water would accumulate at the bottom of the freezer pan. When the bottom pan got filled up, water would run out on to my hardwood floor. I related the problem to the ice maker. Researching the problem, I learned that the ice maker has an adjustment for timing the on cycle for filling the ice tray. After several adjustments nothing changed. I ordered a water control valve and installed it. The problem persisted. I installed a water pressure regulator but the problem persisted. I installed a water filter, the problem persisted. I turned off the entire ice maker and the problem persisted. The problem wasnt the ice maker. The real problem was the defrost cycle of the evaporator. The drain for the water was plugged with ice. I made modifications to the design so I could monitor the drain hole in the back of the freezer. Will I purchase another Maytag… probably not?

Bought this Dishwasher two years ago. Control panel was working intermittently now it does not work. I am looking for anyone with this same problem. I know lawyers who are class action specialists who fight for the consumer. We need to make Maytag responsible for the flaws they have in their product. From reading these other reviews it seems that this control panel issue is consistent no matter what model you have. They must all share the same electrical components that is causing this issue with the control panel. My model number is MDB8959SBS2.

I bought Maytag Bravo washer and dryer set in Nov 2012. Washer door lock broke shortly after 1 yr and now the gearbox has broken. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG BRAVO WASHER. The cost to fix is more than the value. Before the gearbox death the sound it made while spinning was so loud you could not hear the TV or have a conversation in the west end of the house. Visitors were stunned at the noise it made. I called Maytag warranty and explained I am having the same issues as everyone else, what are you going to do? The answer was nothing. Please read the other reviews, same issues. It never cleaned clothes anyway, bad design, bad company and bad corporate values. Model number MVWX700XLE.

I have been trying to solve the issue with my washer, that my parents bought me for my new home. Home Depot, where they were bought, came out twice, and all they say is there is nothing wrong with the washer. There are plenty of things wrong with the washer. It doesnt clean the clothes. I have to use the heavy wash cycle, to try and get the clothes clean. Maytag wont even deal with the situation. The fight has been going on for over 2 years (washer serial # is CY4744432 manufacturers number is MVWC6ESWWI).Not sure if I should just give up. Im really tired of fighting with Maytag and Home Depot. I hope you can help.

We have been married 50 yrs. We have never had a Maytag, we bought one 4 days ago, Dec.13, 2017. This is the worst wash machine (Maytag Bravos XL MCT) we have ever had, the clothes come out wet with white soap marks on the dark clothes. Lowes said we can exchange it for another washer, it will not be a Maytag.

The top loader washer Commercial Technology washes very small loads well. I bought it for the deepwater wash. It DOES NOT work. It also has a auto sensing. Hate this washer. I have to pour buckets of water in the wash to fill it. Maytag/Whirlpool go back to the way it should be. If I want a full washer I should have it! At the end of the day IT IS MY WATER BILL!

This washer has a fault with certain types of blankets. Parts of these blankets come out shredded. We end up replacing these blankets. Other than this problem, the washer has worked fine.

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. This machine was purchased two years ago at the Home Depot. I wanted a top loader that was not digital and without a lot of choices. It has been nothing but a headache with every wash. I had a Maytag serviceman come out immediately and he said nothing was wrong. Every wash load I do, has problems. The dark loads are always full of white spots and the towels are torn up. Just bought some new towels and after the first wash, they were ruined. I will never ever buy a Maytag machine. These new He machines are ridiculous! I no longer have a receipt, but the complaint should help consumers in their decision to NOT buy a Maytag machine.

I have had and worked on many washing machines over the years. The worst design and complete failure of parts to easily align in Maytag front end washers is nothing short of staggering. Creating a tension wire to wrap a rubber seal that requires Hercules to install and easily tears the rubber is beyond ridiculous. Avoid front end Maytag washing machines like the plague since they may cause it given the mold and growth from excessive moisture when the seals tear.

We purchased the Maytag over the range microwave December 2014. Three months after installing it the door cracked. Maytag did replace the door and the repairman thought it might be due to the heat from the stove (huh, it was designed to go over the stove, where there will be heat). Now, six months after that, the layers of plastic on the door are separating and the piece around the control panel is cracked. Maytag agreed to replace the control panel but refuse to replace the door as it is only cosmetic (their words). So much for paying a little extra for what we thought would be a quality product. It seems to me that if something was made to go over the stove, it should be made to withstand the heat.

Maytag Glass top model #MER8600DHO. I bought it because it got good consumer reviews. This is supposed to be a self clean oven but the steam system in this model is not very effective. It doesnt clean the oven. Would never buy a range again with this oven cleaning system. I wanted to try a glass top stove but wish I hadnt. It is harder to clean and the glass scratches. I really dont like the self clean oven system in this stove - it flat out doesnt work and it takes a lot of elbow grease to clean the oven. The oven however seems true to temperature and does a good job. Overall I am Ok with this stove but wouldnt purchase a glass top again.

I have written to Whirlpool about complaints with this range and was very dissatisfied with response. The following were complaints on above range: Range does not have a light on it as the past ranges had. It is very much needed. Grates on burner are to high, therefore it takes longer for items in pot to heat up. Type of steel used on range is very thin and tiny, in other words very poor quality. This is what has happened since Whirlpool bought out Maytag. Quality of Steel that Maytag used is no longer since Whirlpool took over their products. This is true of All their Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, and Ranges). All meaning appliances manufactured by Whirlpool.Manual knobs for turning on oven have been replaced by touch screens, these eventually wear out and are very costly to replace. If it works why change it. Drawers on bottom of range used to be larger, now they are narrow and smaller height wise. Residue on base of burner appears quite frequently and has to be cleaned even if no overspills occur. And why cant Whirlpool make quality merchandise as good as Maytag use to make. Regarding the physical appearance of Range it is very attractive in looks, however Looking good and functioning poorly with inadequate materials used in construction of Appliances outweighs benefits of looking good. My wife and I regret not returning this appliance within 90 days of purchase. In the future we will not purchase Whirlpool or any other appliances manufactured by them if that is possible. Kenmore, LG and perhaps other appliances parts are made by Whirlpool. I received a response from Jake **, Whirlpool Corporation, Executive Office. The Comment from Jake that did not impress me was this: While we regret you are dissatisfied with the current design of your Maytag Range, this is the model that you selected. His comment says too bad better luck next time. This will be the third repair of this refrigerator in one year, the same issue of the refrigerator warming up. Water all over the floor due to ice thaw. Also food spoilage. I want another refrigerator at this point. The Maytag repairman is definitely not lonely. He has more business than he can handle with this defective refrigerator. Terrible. Do Not Buy!!

We built a new home in 2008 and purchased a Maytag appliance package from Home Depot, including a dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. From the beginning, we had problems with our French door refrigerator (MFC2061HEW; it has been discontinued). Within the first year we had 3 ice makers replaced because it was not making any ice. Now, mind you, we went through Maytag to have their repairman to service our appliance and they set up all the service calls. We limped by for awhile and called a different repairman to come and check the fridge because it was not staying cold or making ice again and, of course, it was out of warranty. The first thing he did was check the freon and we were told that it didnt have enough freon to keep it going, so he recharged it and it worked great. We have had to have the repairman come back again this month because it stopped making ice and the temperature for upper and lower was all over the place. He checked the freon again and said the unit has a slow leak in it and he was unable to fix that. I contacted Maytag because I felt if the first repairman had checked the freon from the beginning, we wouldnt be having this problem. The only suggestion I got from them was call a company with a dye kit test and that they are sorry, but its not under warranty. I dont know about anyone else, but $2000.00 for a fridge that has been a pain since day one is a lot of money to replace. I feel they dont care about their customers and they should be responsible for paying for the repair that should have been caught from the get-go.

I think it would be nice to state on the box of dishwasher that customer may need a water connecting fitting and hose for their new dishwasher. Yes, I was asked if I needed anything else and I replied I dont think so! Well when I got home, I did need the water supply sweep 90 degree elbow. Or tell sales people to inform there are parts missing. I had to drive back to Huntsville, AL from Hazel Green. Not life or death, just saying! I do like Maytag products. The dishwasher I replaced was17 years old and we had good service! It’s just starting sounding like a rocket motor. Time to upgrade, I thought. Well my wife really thought so! ;)

We bought a new commercial Maytag washer. It’s deep, it has the agitator, suppose to be the top of the line. I can do sheets and the top ones are dry when done. It doesnt get clothes clean especially if they are really dirty. So I add water to this wonderful machine——anyone wanting pictures of finished clothing I would be glad to send to you. Dirty jeans come out dirty jeans. If I forget and don’t add water it’s worse. So I watched it. It fills up to maybe halfway on clothes and this is on heavy soil and deep fill. I complained about it at the store and was told “he had one and it did fine” and you can’t get any that do any better.

Washer would stop right after it started. I googled the problem and found out it was a bad lock. These Bravo XL units were purchased in 2015. Called an appliance repair and they charged me $250 to replace the lock (service call was $98.00 and labor was $90). The repairman left and I started the washer. There was a loud sound coming from it. I called the repairman back and he said it was the gear case and basket. He said the basket was covered under the warranty but the gear case wasnt. Would be about $750 to fix....no way was I paying the cost of a new washer to fix this less than 4 yr old one. I called Maytag. They couldnt help me. I should have purchased an extended warranty they said. The cost to purchase the extended warranty is now $394.00 per year....please do not purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance unless you like buying extended warranties.

Washer was purchased at Lowes under direction from staff... Great washer, environmentally better, less water consumption... Well washer is piece of crap. Activator is out, door stays locked, have to unplug to release every time used, water does not drain and cycles do not function or start. Lowes no longer carries product and all other review on spot as to cost to repair... Piece of crap, loss of $600.00+. Could be used as target practice, best case scenario.

I too had to replace the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher which I purchased in 2007. I was told by my repairman to contact Maytag to see if they would do anything for me. When I called Maytag, I asked them if there were any issues with the control panels as I had heard there have been multiple issues with them needing to be replaced. I was told they had no record of any complaints and offered to sell me an extended warranty for $269, but there was nothing else they could do for me. I ultimately had my repairman order the part and it was replaced. My repairman did say Maytag did upgrade the panel because of all the issues they were having with the panel. Hopefully, they have fixed the problem and it will not have to be replaced again. But if it does, I will not replace it again. I will look into a new dishwasher and definitely not a Maytag. Yes, I would be interested in joining a class action suit.

Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 MVB700VQ - My wife and I feel this is one of the worst machines sold. We purchased it from Costco 2 yrs ago and had several issues over the years. Pump, locking, water level, small clothing items like socks getting in behind the drum and clogging the pump, and yesterday a flooding issue. That is right, my Bravo 300 did not shut off and the water ran continually with an LD code displayed. The water overflowed into the kitchen & pantry. The wood floors are now warped. We were home so we were able to shut off the water as the washer controls (buttons) were locked and not responding. We spent the better part of 3 hours moving items and wet vacuuming the house. We now have a dehumidifier running in hopes we can salvage the wood floors and minimize mold growth.I will note that I have a home warranty (third party) that covers repairs on my appliances, this washer included. The repair man thought it may be the pump, a line, and/or the control panel/module that need replacing. The repairs would be covered by home warranty.... but not the floors. There is NO WAY I am fixing any washer that flooded my home.Yesterday, I took a 3 yr old washer with known issues back to Costco. I was not happy with the manufacturers suggestions that I buy parts as it was Out of warranty. Again, I had a third party warranty so the repairs would have been covered! It is clear that the manufacturer doesnt CARE about the quality or the performance of this machine. I have found a FIX for these issues. We are buying an LG Washer that is more $ and is highly rated by Consumer Reports. Stay AWAY from this model and current repackaged models of Bravo/Cabrio!

Maytag Performa Side by Side fridge PSD262LHEB door handle pulled off for the second time since purchase but this time, the handle knocked over a pot of hot water on me. I am just relieved that I have no small children anymore. I would consider this very dangerous in any household. The first time, it was covered under warranty along with the broken ice maker. The repairman stated that he had replaced many handles and due to design flaw, they would not last long.

Bought this Maytag microwave mmv 4205ds March 2016. Have had open/close problems five times in 3 years. Unit replaced under warranty once. Now out of warranty. No need to mention inconveniences we’ve been through. Whirlpool-Maytag obviously have done nothing to correct this problem. I will never buy any of their product again. Wanted to give them ‘0’ stars but program won’t allow me.

I am very dissatisfied with this Maytag Gemini oven Ive had it for 4yrs. It has been in the shop twice for the same problem. Temperature control. It is down again for the same thing temperature control. The repairman, who I had to look at it, says the bill will be over $500.00. I paid $1300.00 for this stove. I cant afford to put any more money in this stove. I had to pay $100.00 for repairman to tell me this. The model # met8665xw02 serial#D30522404. Is there a recall on this stove? There should be. I sold Maytag products for several years at Circuit City. I always pushed Maytag instead of another brand. I believed in Maytag. The repairman hasnt been lonely to me.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top loading washing machine two years ago. The clothes hardly get wet enough to get clean. It leaves a residue on dark clothes and the basket goes unbalanced at the drop of a hat. Whatever you save in water, you spend on electricity because a cycle takes twice as long as a conventional washer. It goes out of balance and bangs the machine enough to walk it across a room. I purchased this machine from an appliance store, not some discount house. I have had machines last 20 years and this one is shot in 2. I will never, ever purchase another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid product again ever.

In late March or early April 2010, I purchased a Maytag Microwave from Sears in Ocean, New Jersey. The microwave was installed by Sears technicians on April 9, 2010. The total price for the microwave and installation was $356.53. I specifically purchased the Maytag brand because of Maytags longstanding reputation for quality products with long lifespans.On October 5, 2014, the microwave became inoperative and displayed a code of SE. On or about October 9, 2014, I contacted Maytag Customer Experience Center, via email, and advised them of this problem. I also wrote to Maytag explaining the situation. On October 15, 2014, I was advised via email that, as my warranty had expired, any repairs were my responsibility. I requested that my email be forwarded to Maytags CEO for consideration and review and was advised on October 20, 2014 that a Maytag supervisor would call me within two to three business days (of October 20th). After a follow up letter to the CEO, I was again advised on October 28, 2014, that the microwave was out of warranty and any repairs were my responsibility.I should add that I contacted Maytag Repair Service and was advised that the price of the repair far exceeded the price of the microwave. I feel that four years is not the expected lifespan of a microwave, especially a Maytag, and can only conclude that the Maytag microwave which I purchased was defective. I have purchased less expensive microwaves that have lasted for at least ten years. I got absolutely nowhere with Maytag personnel, found them to be curt and dismissive and would NOT purchase another Maytag product nor would I recommend them. Buyer beware - Maytag is not what it used to be! Very disappointing.

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and from day one in 7/10/2004, we have had trouble with the washer and Sears. First, it stopped working within eight months after we paid over 1300 for washer and master protection agreement. We called over and over from that day and was told we didnt show in their system as owning one and that we didnt get the master protection agreement. This went on and on until they finally told us on 8/2010 that they finally did find us in the system and that the agreement had ended a year before and would send someone (that was on 8/31/10) to do the washer. After having sat for almost six years, it reset itself and worked that day. I told the guy from A&E that it was the computer but that wasnt what he replaced so the washer went right back on in a month. So we had to save to have someone else come out from A&E to charge us 143.10 to say it would cost a total of 310.51 for the computer and that it probably wouldnt work for too long.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer in February 2012. I wish I had understood the workings of the washer before making the purchase. I am not at all happy that the lid locks as soon as the washer starts and unless I push a button to get the lid open. I cannot open the lid to maybe add more items or check to see if the water amount is sufficient or too much. I have no idea how much goes in for each water level. Of course, I cannot take water out but I could put more in if I see it is not enough. And after learning the water levels, I would know just how to determine the level I need. Some man must have designed the panel. Otherwise I am satisfied. I really like the large load capacity. I originally thought I wanted a front load to get a large capacity but this suits me fine.

I bought this dryer 3 years ago and the fuse has blown three times. The dryer gets really hot and blows a fuse. The entire back of the dryer is clean and free of lint, the hose on the back, and the ventilation pipe running out of the house are completely clear, but the dryer continues breaking down. The Whirlpool NC folks have been out here three times yet it has broken down once again. I should not have to purchase another dryer after only three years!

After 2 years the oven didnt work. I had a repair fix it for $500 but if I wanted the convection to work it would cost another $800. Obviously not worth it. Now the oven needs to be set at 400 if I want then actual temperature to be 350. Now the latest - the racks are too small and falling! I just put my Le Creuset in the oven and the rack fell. Splashed everywhere! This happened at Christmas with my turkey. So bought the fridge - everything in the back freezes. Never ever buying Maytag again. Im guessing the Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.

I just bought this refrigerator a bit more than 2 years ago. I have to change electronic module for $300 CAD including labor. Home Depot advised me to contact directly Maytag and to express my dissatisfaction about this unreliable product.

Maytag Bravos Washer 300 Quiet Series Model MVWB700VQ0 - Nothing about it is quiet. Worked pretty well the first year. Spin cycle works too well. It twists and rips. The second year it needed a new pump because a dime got into it and cracked the pump. When you wash anything bulky you better sit and watch it because it will almost certainly go off balance. Year three Sd (suds or slow) code started flashing and washer stopped half way through. Not sure why suds because I only use HE Tide, no perfumes or dyes due to my daughters sensitivity. I use Affresh as directed and on schedule. Was told it was a slow drain, found two dimes in the filter and a lot of lint. Still not working and flashing Sd... stops half way, agitator moves left to right doesnt spin. When the diagnostic was performed, the basket spun but when it stopped it made a grinding noise. Now it might be that it needs new bearings! So much for the Maytag reputation. Its junk and I will not be buying another Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore or any other product from their affiliates. Not purchasing anything from Sears again either. Also I will be canceling my subscription to Consumer Reports because they highly recommended this product. Shame on Maytag. How do we start a class action suit?

I bought a Maytag Range with the Aqualift feature 3 years ago. Worse purchase every, the oven clean option (Aqualift) is useless. It do not work at all, be prepared to spend hours cleaning. I followed manufacturers instructions and its useless, after running the cleaning cycle three times I gave up and starting cleaning for hours.

The washer is designed to use low amounts of water. The top is glass so you can watch what is or is not happening. The manual states there should be clothes above the water after filling. However after the wash cycle with a full or even half full washer, there is still some dry clothes above the water. As a result the clothes are not washed until the rinse cycle. I called Maytag and a repair tech came out to fix it. His solution was to trick the sensors by dumping a pail of water on top of the dry clothes before starting the washer. The sensors think there are more clothes than there really is. Will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher at Home Depot in Roanoke, TX on 07-14-2011. Model Number: MDB7749AWB2Serial Number: F12604431Unfortunately, Ive just been obliged to open my third service call on this new dishwasher. The first service call was made in August 2012, just outside of the first year warranty period to repair a wire which had come loose in the control panel, making the dishwasher inoperable. The second service call (May 2013) was to replace the front panel housing and touch pad which had broken off at the screw-mounts holding it on to the door. As the handle to open the dishwasher is part of the front panel (which must be pulled out pretty hard to open as it does not have a latching mechanism) screws set into unreinforced, thin, plastic posts holding the panel to the door seems like a serious design flaw.The third service call which I placed last week (August 2013) is to address the fact that the dishwasher has become completely inoperable with no lights on the front panel and is completely unresponsive. To say the least my experience with this product (and by extension the Maytag brand) has been a serious disappointment. I guess the reason I no longer see those TV commercials with the lonely Maytag repairman is because these days hes actually really busy fixing broken down ** Maytags. I will never, ever buy any Maytag or Maytag-family brand appliance ever again.

Dishwasher Control Panel MDB7749AWM2 - Purchased unit on 11/22/2011. June of 2014 my start button stopped working, and after searching online I guess I consider myself lucky. Spent 38 minutes on Maytag consumer service site speaking to a rep who walked me thru a reset that did not help and then explained that my machine was no longer under warranty and $149 for the service call and the cost of the part assuming it was a control panel would total over $250 on a machine I spent $500 on. I spoke to a supervisor who was only willing to sell me a control panel at 50% off and do it yourself, and while they claim there are no consumer issues with this part, they stated that the warranty on the part is only 90 days. I told them this was the last Maytag/Whirlpool/KitchenAid appliance I would purchase and they did not seem to care so I will be moving on to another dishwasher since I will not invest $250 in a fix of an item that they will only stand by for 90 days!

Purchased Maytag 4000 series washer Feb. 26 2011 - within six months Maytag warranty replaced the drum and bearings, within another few months Maytag worked on the drum again. Year two started out with the warranty contract replace the drum and bearings again. Oct 1 2014 called for service again, the drum not moving and having to wait 2 weeks for Tech. to checkout the machine then order parts. I have 7 children at home and that didnt matter to anyone. After reading online the number of 4000 series Maytag machines with this problem somebody needs to make Maytag recall and replace them.

For years I wanted a top loading Maytag washer. Last year I bought one at the cost of £720 plus VAT. Started using it last July and in November this year it broke down. The company I bought it from said, Sorry, youre out of our warranty... Really! Here’s some people who might fix it. Eventually Hotpoint took it on and honored a two year warranty. Since November I’ve had an engineer out twice. Still isn’t working. Won’t replace it because it’s now discontinued, so more parts ordered. Engineer advised me to go buy another washer. Thanks Maytag for totally disappointing me in what I thought would be my perfect washer. I will continue to email etc and hope that someone will help me. No point in phoning because no one listens. MY OPINION - DONT BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS IN THE UK AS NO ONE CAN REPAIR THEM PROMPTLY IF AT ALL.

Bought a Maytag 4000 series washer and dryer combo for about 2100 dollars in October 2011. Had a professional look at it today since the clothes stayed wet after the spin cycle. Told us it would cost 1000 dollars to repair the washing machine. So a total write-off in barely four years. I am very disappointed.

My husband and I are very disappointed and upset about our new Maytag Dishwasher model MDB8949SBM. We only have had this dishwasher a little over a year! We purchased in May of 2014 and in June 2015 the control panel lights were acting crazy. Actually I even think it started earlier but just thought it was me pushing buttons wrong and wasnt that bad. Then in June any button you push on would not even light up!! I have stopped using dishwasher since June and now it is October! I was so done trying to push the right cycle that I wanted! I will never purchase another Maytag ever!! Just saw there is a Lawsuit here California. Yes!! But I have not seen any information yet on this lawsuit. I am calling Maytag!

My Maytag washer (model number MVWC400XW3) worked well for 6 months. Suddenly, it started making terrible loud noises when spinning. Repairmen have come out 6 times, and I got second opinions. It was turned over to another repair company. Transmission has been replaced as well as the motor. I have been without a washer for 3 months. Repairmen would come out, replace a part, and leave; and the washer is never fixed. I asked the repairmen to stay for an entire cycle, but they act insulted and left, saying its fixed. When I tried to wash, everything went crazy. I unplugged the washer and plugged it back in to reset it. I turned the dial to spin, and the lights said the washer was sensing. The lights never moved off that. The washer sounded like its trying to wash, but theres a strong grinding noise. When does the repairman decide he cant fix it? My husband is insisting we go buy another washer. The washer was bought in September 2011, so its still in warranty. In addition, we bought a five-year warranty. The repairmen stay 15 minutes, plug in a new part, and leave. They dont come back for two weeks. Will we ever get this washer fixed or get a new one. How do we put pressure on Maytag to fix it or give us a new one?

I purchased this dishwasher at least 12 years ago and it still works. However, after that much use some of the buttons no longer work. It has china, economy, regular, rinse only and extreme wash features.

I purchased a Maytag gas stove. Right away I noticed the oven racks would sag in the middle pulling the back corners to pull away from sides dropping the rack down on top of rack below. I got a hold of Maytag and they sent me out a set of 3 new oven racks that were exactly the same as the ones I had. I have been fighting with them for years. I called Whirlpool today who make Maytag and was told its off warranty and that I can order another set of oven racks at a cost to me. They would be the same as I have. The racks are so cheaply made and cannot stand even a few pounds. The finish on the stove also chips very easily. You rub a pan up against it and it scratches the white porcelain off. I spent a lot of money buying the dream gas stove I had thought, but only to be unsatisfied with my purchase. Buyer beware of Maytag products.

I am a Baby Boomer... just like so many of us, I watched those lonely Maytag Repairman television commercials. Yes, silly me I purchased our top loading Maytag Bravos XL because of the brand name and because the machine was large enough to wash our bedding. Well, like so many fellow purchasers have found, this machine does not get the clothes clean and leaves soap spots all over the clothes. Its embarrassing. Additionally, there is that funny smell after the clothes come out of the wash. Well, Maytag has really done a number on us all. Kudos to their research & development department for creating a washing machine where the clothes come out dirtier. Has Maytag thought about a RECALL? I will tell everyone I know to NEVER buy a Maytag.

Bravos X high efficiency... efficient at not cleaning your clothes, efficient at ruining clothes, sheets, towels, may be efficient at being a boat anchor. Maytag offers nothing. Have had washers last 20 years or more. Someone, or some atty. General should bring a class action suit. Horrible product. Dont buy one. DONT BUY MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL. Omg I am so shocked at all the complaints about these refrigerators.. I too bought refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Lowes after a storm just about destroyed our home. I was so excited to have such a beautiful refrigerator and new kitchen...but shortly after it started freezing on the bottom of freezer and leaking all over. My new floors and kitchen cabinet are ruined. Every other day we have to break up ice and clean it out from freezer.. it still then leaks.. several family members have slipped and hurt themselves. Please if anyone knows how to get it fixed without it costing us a fortune let us know. Maytag (Whirlpool) knows it is a defect... Why will they not fix it? I cant afford a new refrigerator and shouldnt have to after only two years.. If a class action comes up.. please contact me. Shame on them...

I have never had washing machine that caused this many headaches. The point of a machine is to save you time and energy washing by hand. When the cycle is over, the clothes are tightly spun together that we spend half an hour attempting to untie all the clothes that are woven together. The clothes come back to us in knots, or torn because of the rough nature this machine has created. I have never seen anything like this before and would gladly throw this piece of junk out. We are moving and it would create more headaches to deal with this at the moment. I read that the company had severe money problems and it was due to this very issue. I cant believe a company this well known would allow this to ever hit the market! To openly LIE to people and make money off a product that is faulty deserves the karma they get. Please stay away from this company and their rubbish machines they make and then sell. BUYER BEWARE!

Washer purchased in May 2013 last month it stopped completing the drain and spin cycle and cloth stayed wet. To have the machine repaired, we would have to replace the control panel. The cost of replacing the control panel plus the service call was 76% of the cost of buying a brand new machine. As such we are disposing of the machine and will be purchasing a competitive product.

We purchased our Maytag Washer back in August of 2019 and already needs a Motherboard and Lid replacement. Not only do you have to wait almost an hour to get a hold of their customer service I got hung up on once after waiting that long and the a Customer Service Lead by the name of Brittany couldnt offer any help either. We have been without our washer for almost a month now and will have to wait another couple weeks for the part to come in on top of probably another week for a maintenance person to come out and repair. I asked to expedite the part but that went absolutely nowhere. It actually added time to get the part because it was suppose to be here on the 13th but now its up to 9 business days for that to happen. I would stay away from purchasing any appliance from Maytag with the experience we have gone through and terrible customer service as well.

Maytag Neptune Stacked Electric Washer & Dryer. Had to buy a motor for Washer but lasted 12 years before giving problems again; then couldnt find anyone that would service for cheaper than $100 for just coming to your house plus $75 an hour for labor. Thats HIGHER than my billable rate! Rip-off Service & parts charges. Found out it was easier & cheaper to troubleshoot ONLINE myself using FIXYA site and others. Expense for an appliance above what most run ~ 1500 for both units. Plus if it doesnt have or offer a 5-year warranty then something is wrong with the quality! Maytag Neptune Series MLE2000AYW 27 Inch Electric Laundry Center with 3.34 Cu. Ft. Washer Capacity, 4 Wash Cycles and 6.0 Cu. Ft. Dryer Capacity, 3 Dry Cycles: White. Worst part on this model was a WAX MOTOR that they used for the Washer to control the door being closed or open. Next worst DESIGN error was they didnt put a drain hole in the plastic rim seal for the Washer door, that area would build up mold & mildew if you didnt learn to keep Washer door open at all times AFTER a wash. We learned by removing the light bulb! Therefore it was easy for my crew to learn to leave the door open after washing. This model was Energy star certified and had a long life here 12 years. Unfortunately I think they build these things to only last 10 years; then you have to replace them. In years gone by... the 1970s Washing machines and dryers would last 20 years!!

I purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set one year ago, and have asked myself why ever since. The oversized laundry tub is what attracted me to the model, but it sure doesnt deliver for the money it cost. On normal settings, it doesnt use enough water for all the clothes to even get wet. After the load was complete, there were areas of my clothes bone dry, and obviously still dirty. I soon learned that the only way the washer uses enough water to get all the clothes wet and clean, was to set the machine on the bulky setting. This is the only setting I use now, but all of my clothes winds up twisted together, sometimes in one big ball. As for efficiency, that statement folks is a joke! Because I use the bulky setting, it uses much more water than a traditional washer ever did, and when the load is off balanced, it will go through another rinse cycle to try to even it out. This machine uses far more water and electricity than my old school set! I suppose if you dont get your clothes dirty, you may not need to use the bulky setting, but thats the only way I can wash my laundry with this machine. The old style set I had before this was Maytag also, and lasted about 20 years. I was more than happy to purchase Maytag again, but this set has been nothing but a disappointment. I dont plan to buy another energy efficient machine again, nor would I recommend this product to anyone!

We purchased our home in late 2010 and was excited about our HE front-load washer (and dryer). Immediately, we noticed mold on the rubber boot, and the smell was horrible. We ran the washer with Affresh several times and left the door to open when not in use, and that seemed to help. Then most recently, the washers been shutting off mid-cycle through normal wash setting. I used to pound the washer out of frustration, and that seemed to get the machine working, but now it doesnt work at all. We had a repairman come out, and he charged us $94 to basically remove debris from the drain hose, and he told us that if the washer fails again, wed be looking at an expensive repair cost pertaining to the central control unit. We had a second repairman come out and replace the central control unit. It worked while he was here, but now its messing up again, shutting down mid-cycle. I have to unplug the washer for hours, replug, put it on rapid wash cycle (and hope it doesnt fail), and if it fails, then unplug, wait, put it on spin cycle... Its aggravating, and were looking at $300 to $400 in repair costs. Our repair man says front loaders are a nightmare (and he still has his non-HE washer from the 80s, and its still working). Our washer is Maytag Epic Z, model number MHWZ600TE00. Avoid front loaders, and definitely Maytag or Whirlpool front loaders. Well need to shop around for a new washer, an old-fashioned top loader this time.

Maytag side-by-side fridge with water/ice dispenser (Model # MSD2572VEW00) was purchased in 2011. Mechanically, fridge is working, however, every piece of plastic inside the refrigerator section (the regular glass shelves with plastic rims, vegetable bins, and door ban shelves) are all cracking and falling apart. Additionally, the buttons on the ice/water dispenser fell off, exposing the actual buttons on the panel. All three of the regular sized shelves have severe cracks in the plastic that affect the sturdiness of the shelf. Both vegetable drawers are badly cracked, falling apart and one doesnt even stay secure on the track. Even all three of the door ban shelves are cracked with fractures along the sides and bottom. Weve resorted to putting clear packing tape just to hold the shelves together.We contacted Whirlpool, who owns Maytag and because our fridge is 4 years outside of the 1 year warranty, they could do nothing for us. In over 30 years of owning refrigerators, this is the first time Ive seen every shelf and bin crack the way this fridge has and in less than 5 years no less! Whirlpools solution to our issue was to send my call to their Parts Department. The total cost to replace all the cracked shelves, bin drawers plus the ice/water dispenser panel is $702.28. No thanks, thats as much as a new fridge. Whirlpool should be utterly ashamed of their total lack of Customer Satisfaction by distributing such a piece of junk. Who would have thought that an appliance costing a couple hundred dollars would be considered as disposable as an aluminum pan and in only 5 years! One thing is for sure, I will certainly think carefully again on ever buying another Whirlpool product again since they are so apt to take my money only for me to repurchase an expensive appliance again in less than 5 years.

Maytag Bravo was making loud noise in the Spin cycle. Ordered new bearing, shaft and parts from Amazon. Also had to order the Bearing tool, cost more than the bearing parts. Total cost $145. Watch a youtube video on replacement, took about 3.5 hrs by myself. Biggest problem I had was lifting the washer up over the drain pan it is in. Washer is on the 2nd floor.

I love my dishwasher. The only hold back is similar to what I hear about all others and that is that it takes a long time. I love that is it quiet, has lots of room and is easy to use.

I have done absolutely nothing to this dryer except keep the lint screen clean. Have had it for 15 years. Keeps on tickin. It is used daily. Sometimes 3-4 times a day. The outside looks rough. But who cares. I bought a new lg washer with great looks and had it just a year and 2 weeks. Had to spend another $200 on it. Still doesnt work right. Im Maytag all the way!!! It is a simple dryer. But it is a workhorse. It was a gift from my mother and have so much appreciated it. It has been an amazing piece of equipment. From now on I will only look for the maytag brand for whatever appliance I purchase.

Washer goes off-balance even when clothes are evenly distributed in tub. When it is turned off to rearrange clothes (which may have to be performed a couple of times), washer goes back to starting cycle which means more water. Afraid to do laundry unattended.

Not long after the 1 year warranty expired the washer started making noise while agitating. Long story short, the transmission is making the noise and should be replaced. It is a $200+ part. While it is still working ok, Im waiting for it to fail completely. Not good for an expensive washer. I dont think Ill buy Maytag again.

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

Maytag Centennial 3.4 top-loader was purchased at Home Depot. It has never worked yet. On 4/28/12, the third weekend, I sat home for the servicemen to fix this junk machine. The first two times, the machine didn’t work ten minutes after they left and today they went to the wrong address. I have much more important things to do than to sit around and wait for someone to figure out what is wrong with this machine. It would have been cheaper for me to junk this brand new machine and buy a washer from a company that makes washers that work!

We purchased the Bravos XL in May 2017.. It quit working on April 30, 2019. Maytag sent me a form letter that basically said I was out of luck.. that sometimes things go wrong with a product or manufacturing. The fact that it wasnt 2 years old yet meant nothing to them. I would like to join or start a class action. This washer should not be sold.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator around 2 yrs ago. Ive had repair out a couple and tried to take care of this myself. I am being told by repair men that it is a design flaw that the line gets plugged and water pours out all over my floor. The refrigerator I replaced was 20 yrs old, never had a service call & never poured water all over my floor. From reviews Im reading Im not alone in this problem. I purchased a Maytag slide in range from Costco online in April 2020. Within three months a discolouration on the stainless top part of the range has happened. Costco has a ninety day period for repairs, or return on appliances. Pictures were provided to Costco at the request of Maytag. Upon review, Maytag’s response was, This is a cosmetic issue and nothing we will repair. I am an extremely disappointed consumer who will NEVER purchase a Maytag product again.

I bought a Maytag washer November Thanksgiving of 2013. This washer started giving problems three months after; problems such as the cycle stop turn over properly, the light would say wash but its not washing. It would just stop but the light stuck on wash for long periods of time. Press the pause/start/cancel button, it would sometimes start again and stop and let out the water quickly. The clothes would be filled with water and not wash properly. This the funny part, serious funny part. I contacted Maytag on countless time. They had me on hold so long I had to hang up; a hold for hour I am talking about. One day I finally got through. They gave me a number to contact because where I am located there is no tech. I never got anyone but the machine when I called the number after countless times of trying. I decided to called back Brandsmart, because I just think its not right and fair to me to purchase a washer for so much, to had it shipped for more money. It didnt last me NO time at all and I cannot get any help. Well! Brandsmart told had to have paid export shipping, something I never was offered and since I took it out of the country, there is nothing they can do for me. I hunted for my receipt and to this day I I still have it. All was offered was warranty parts and labor for a month, thirty days. I said no because I would not think anything would go wrong in that short period of time. Nevertheless was not offered any export shipping warranty like what they are trying to ** me with. Here is my receipt number **. I grieve presently how I was just robbed of my money so openly when all I wanted was a replacement.

I bought this Maytag French door model MFF2258VEW2 in 2010. Within the first year, it was freezing my vegetables. They sent someone out to fix it. Thank goodness it was under warranty. The man laid the bill down and it was over $800 to fix it. Six months later, it froze up. I called and they said they would send someone out, but I would have to pay for it. Im on disability and cant pay that kind of money. I got someone to come out and fix it. Well, guess what? It has started freezing my vegetables again. This is the third time this thing has gone bad. What do these people think they are doing putting things out like this? I had a Maytag for 30 years and never had any problem with it. So I saved and saved to get me a new one but I will never buy another Maytag. The company should have to replace all the refrigerators that are like this one.

I’ve had this new stove just over a week. Used 3 times (I just moved). I have cooked on staying already on the ceramic top. I’ve had a ceramic top stove for over 20 years with barely a mark in it. Terrible. I’ve left a message with the store with no reply.

I love the fact that there is no agitator in this machine. It give lots of room when washing bulky comforters. I also love the vast amount of settings for load size and the soil settings. The con of this washer is that it has broken down on us twice in the 2 years since we purchased it. The pump has gone out both times. Unfortunately it looks like we will be making a purchase of a new washer in the near future because another mechanical issue has arose.

Maytag Gemini - This is a double oven which I purchased in 2010. 2 days ago Apr 13, 2015, the outside glass in the bottom oven simply exploded. The oven was in use at the time. It blew the side brackets off and glass was spread into my dining room as well as a mess in the kitchen. Maytag was supposed to send repairman today. Have waited all day and finally called repair company. They knew nothing of the repair and supposedly will contact Maytag and call me tomorrow. We will see. In the meantime has anyone else had this problem?

What was shown on tv and the way it looked in home depot were much different when I got it home. The refrig. Is big as a bo car on the outside but inside nothing.

I bought a Maytag microwave in Feb of 16. Six months later, last August, it stopped working correctly (light doesnt come on, will not start, continually says open/close door to start). I have been trying for THREE MONTHS to have this fixed. Multiple calls to Maytag have resulted in nothing but empty promises. Calls to the store where we purchased it do no good - you have to call Maytag. We got 6 months use out of a Maytag microwave which we paid EXTRA to have installed. At this point I dont want it fixed. I want it replaced. The Maytag brand used to stand for durability and integrity; now it stands for badly made products and pathetic customer service. Look up my phone number on your computers, Maytag, and you will see all the efforts Ive made to get this fixed.

Fifteen months after purchase of the top load washer, we have had to call in repair. The lid lock and sensor have went out on the machine and the repair costs are equal to the purchase of the machine. Whether the consumer has an extended warranty or not, this is unreasonable. So hear this Maytag, the CONSUMERS will invest elsewhere when delivered cheap merchandise like this even if it is Made in the USA as you wish to tout in order to bait the consumer for their money instead of providing superior quality American products. This consumer is sending this machine out the door.

I wrote the below to Maytag on their FaceBook page, of course havent heard anything back from them. Adding this on since I forgot about it, I have dogs and wash their blankets often, not that theyre dirty just for the dog smell. I have to wash them on the sanitize cycle which is an 1.5 hours long because if I use the normal cycle which is only 43 minutes they come out smelling exactly the same way they went in. I saw someone else post that their mothers front loader doesnt put in enough water so Im wondering if thats what happens to mine. So wish I would have checked the reviews before buying, thought I was getting a great washer buying Maytag.This is what I wrote on their FB page: I bought a Maytag front loading washer on 5/10/16 which was delivered and set up on 5/13/16. On Wednesday 10/19/16 it stopped working, so just over 5 months from the day it was installed. I called your company on 10/20/16 for repairs, they couldnt get here until today, 10/24, so 5 days with no washer. The customer service rep had all the details on what happened and Im sure passed them along to the repair company. He ran diagnostics, said it was the drain pump which was obvious even to me, but claimed to not have one with him even though they were in stock. Cant make it back until Wednesday, so two more days with no washer. He then proceeded to tell me that the dryer had to come off (stacked on top since the washer is a front loader) before he got back, that the warranty wouldnt cover two people coming out. So Im supposed to spend more money to hire someone to come out, take off the dryer and then pay them again to come back and put it back on. I called the customer service department again and was told they dont cover installation which stacking is. She said the warranty doesnt cover stacked units, as far as I can find that isnt stated in the warranty so please let me know where that is stated in writing. So I have a just over 5-month-old washer that needs repair already (bodes well for the future doesnt it??), will be without a washer for almost a week because the repairman didnt bring the most obvious part with him (maybe wanted to be paid for two calls?) and have to pay someone else for installation so it can be fixed. So wheres the Maytag man? I am not a happy customer and will be letting as many people know as possible. Ill be in the market for other new appliances soon, will sure as hell make sure theyre not made by Maytag, Whirlpool et all.

Purchased a new Maytag refrigerator in January 2013. In September 2013, the ice maker stopped working and Maytag sent out a repairman to replace the ice maker. In February 2014, the ice maker stopped working again. I contacted Maytag and was told the refrigerator was no longer in warranty. I told them that since the ice maker was replaced in September the warranty should have covered me for a year from that date. The Maytag representative told me that was not had it worked and asked if I wanted them to repair the item for a fee. I bought a non-Maytag ice maker and replaced it myself. It is now July 2015 and the ice maker is still working fine. I am not a repairman.

Maytag Centennial Washer - If a wash load becomes off balanced, the machine stops. No signal or buzzer or anything to alert me to this. It happens all the time and wastes a lot of my time. Here I am thinking that the wash is going fine only to find out 2 hours later that it has stopped. Anytime I wash more than 3 items, this happens. I will never buy one again and I am telling everyone not to buy. I will be purchasing a good old fashion washer with a dial gauge so I can spin it any time I needed.

Almost one year to the date of purchase, my Maytag glass top range stopped working. The oven is still operational, but the range top does not work. The knobs turn and the surface lights go on but the elements no longer heat up. Trying to get a response from a real person at Maytag was impossible. I was put through a myriad of prompts that led me to scheduling a service appointment. I called AppliancesMart and got a wonderful sales person who said a service call would cost me 60 to 80 dollars and that he had not heard of repairs below $300 for this type of problem. Needless to say I am very angry and disappointed that I had not done more research before I purchased this item. If I can prevent one more person from making this same mistake, I will get some modicum of satisfaction out of this horrible experience.

3 years into the buying of a Maytag Bravos XL MCT washing machine (Serial # **) and already had to replace the original control panel for a cost of $400+ in less than 2 years of the buy. Now AGAIN the replaced control panel is now once again shot and the machine is not starting. The appliance needs to have a #manufacturers recall for the control panel. #Maytag #Whirpool #BetterBusinessBureau Note -- all existing customers, please lodge manufacturers complaint for the control panel issues @ 1-800-344-1274. (Even if you dont pay because of extended warranty or plan coverage, if you are facing the control panel issue year on year). All future customers, buy this appliance at your own risk.

Purchased standard Maytag refrigerator w/ freezer on top in 2012. Freezer has never been able to keep ice cream. Never called for repair because after reading several of these complaints, mine seemed to be a minor frustration. However, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

No motor is available for the Bravos washer machine which is 5 years old! Now the machine is garbage and I need to buy a new one. I thought Maytag was a great brand so I purchased the Bravos but now I understand from the company that no motor replacements are available!! Wtf? Maytag/Whirlpool dont care for loyal supporters so, I am TELLING EVERYONE not to purchase Maytag/Whirlpool appliances whose name has gone for a dump with this latest situation.

I purchased these appliances on 02-10-16 from Home Depot in Loganville Ga., for almost $2000.00. I filed the first repair call less than 3 weeks after delivery. The sensor panel was bad and had to be replaced. Now 8 months later the washer is not starting, AGAIN. The dryer will only dry one load a day or you get the AF code. This means that the dryer cannot push air over 5 or so and we need to have a vent booster fan (an additional $200.00) installed plus have an electrician run a new outlet. I returned to Home Depot with my complaint. Feeling that I have an inferior product, they tried to get Maytag to make it right. Maytag refused to offer any solutions whatsoever. Home Depot refunded a little over $300.00 for my inconvenience.The washer is an absolute ill-conceived piece of junk. It is ROUGH on clothing and does not remove soap. I started out with brand new (expensive) towels when I purchased this machine and 8 months later all of the hems have been snatched off and theyre unraveling and falling apart and are slowly becoming car wash towels.You cannot wash delicates in this machine and allow it to spin. Underwires in bras are badly misshaped or broken completely. You cannot wear them afterwards without being gouged by bent wires. The only way around this is to take away the spin cycle, but you better be ready with a clean garbage can to haul the dripping clothes elsewhere and hung up to drip dry. The washer has NEVER removed all of the soap from bed sheets. I have a dark gray set that show the soap best. Now I have to wash once with soap then wash again with no soap. This negates the machines being efficient.Unfortunately, I found the negative reviews AFTER buying the machine. My complaints are well known to Maytag, seeing has to how the same complaints are found online as far back as 8 years ago. I have been brand loyal for 30+ years to Whirlpool and thought that I was moving up with a Maytag, based on my parents 50 year experience... I was wrong! I will never purchase another Maytag product nor Whirlpool since Whirlpool now owns Maytag. I have researched and am of the opinion that Speed Queen is a far better product and plan to junk this set and replace them with Speed Queen.

I will never buy another Maytag product, and moreover, will tell everyone I possibly can, not to do so either. Like many others, I have a two-year-old dishwasher that needs a control board already, and from what Ive read this wont be the first time. It would cost $150 for the part, plus the service calls make it around a $350 experience. The only choice is to pull the machine out, or buy a 5-year warranty for another $318.56. Grand total for your marvelous high quality Maytag that lasts only 7 years? Around $1,000. I am so sad, the company used to symbolize quality but now when I see the logo, I think of landfills.

Like other reviewers, I am having issues regarding the control board panel for MAYTAG Dishwasher Model Number MDB7749SAM0. The unit was less than 3 yrs old when the control board panel malfunction issue began. I feel like this is a manufacturing defect and the company should be responsible for repairing/replacing the control board panel. I contacted Maytag numerous times regarding this, but customer service continues to tell customers there is NO warranty after one year from purchase date, and they are saying there is no recall or other reported issues regarding the Maytag’s control board at this time. However, I have found numerous online complaints and reviews about the very same issue I am having and same poor customer service. Since MAYTAG does not seem to care about their customer’s concerns regarding their product breaking in I feel that the only solution is DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG dishwasher brand again. I have had other brands last much much longer than this one did.

WARNING: Do not buy a Maytag washer, unless you get a very extended warranty. My wife and I had A GE, but it wore out after only a few years. So, we decided to go with a Maytag, since they always claimed that the Maytag repairman had nothing to do, which leads you to believe that they never need service. WELL, 3 years and 10 months and our Maytag blew its transmission. Oil is leaking from the seal, and its on borrowed time. So, off we go to get another washer. Just keep in mind that Maytag, and Whirlpool are one and the same company, so buyer beware. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, there is a sticker on the washer stating that there is a 10 year warranty. That is only on the drum, which never goes bad, and the electric motor. NO OTHER PARTS are under warranty unless you participate in the extended warranty. My wife and I are going to go out and look at some used washers. There are places that refurbish them, and they have a better warranty, believe me. I am hoping that we can find one WITHOUT A FREAKING COMPUTER BOARD in it. Cost to fix my washer, according to the accredited Maytag repairman is $560.04. I think I can get a basic washer that wont stop working after a few years for less than that. Just in case you are wondering, its only my wife and I, we only do laundry a couple of times a week. Its not like we wore the machine out prematurely. Thanks for listening.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher delivered in dec 2012. We are snowbird Canadians and the dishwasher is only used 5 months per year. Jan 2015 the control panel quit working and the repairman tells me the wires on the control panel have started to melt down. He called Maytag and was told they had extended the warranty on this machine for one more year. Missed it by 2 months. Considering this was only really used one year, I am very disappointed. How can an extended warranty on a safety issue only be for one year? This is my first Maytag product and will be my last. I only purchased it because I was told Whirlpool bought them out and I have never had a problem with Whirlpool.

2 Year old washer. First the actuator was replaced. A 150.00 charge. Two months later the pump is shot. Another 200,00 to replace the pump. This is worst piece of ** washer I have owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
