I spent more than I should to buy this machine but thought of it as an investment to help conserve water and energy. Wrong!! One small load of undies will wash for 60-70 minutes, then still not be clean. So, I rewash them. Really, how does that save anything? I HATE this machine. Ive never seen a washing machine that will wash in WRINKLES! Lastly, I do not like the fact that I have no control over water level. I had one load of towels that the towel on top actually came out of the washing machine with more than half of the towel still dry. Not good! Save your money and buy a machine with an agitator. They simply clean better.

Maytag Centennial eco conserve clothes washer - I purchased a Maytag (non-agitating) washer, (model MVWC400XW) just about a year ago and I cant tell you how dissatisfied I am with this product. It does not clean the simplest of soil from garments. I have actually had clothes come out of the washer after a complete wash cycle, with dry clothes. They recommend putting soap in first, at the bottom of the washer and then load clothes; I have had clothes come out stained as a result the clothes sitting on top of the soap. I am requesting that I be able to return (have this washer picked up) from my home and replaced with a washer with an agitator or a compatible washer that actually washes clothes. I believe that this may qualify as a lemon with regards to California lemon laws.

Chalk up another bad tub bearing. Washer around 4 years old. Repair man says $350 to $400 to fix. Also said sees it couple times a week. Said after Whirlpool bought Maytag quality nose dived. Maytag no longer top of line. Will never buy another Whirlpool or Maytag product. Just replaced control panel on dishwasher also. Amazon sells kit to repair washer. That should tell you how bad it is. Called Whirlpool to see if they had plans to do anything about this. No they dont. Stay away.

We have had washer/dryer Bravo Series and been nothing but horror stories. Washer bounces all over room to point hoses come out and flooded my laundry room and foyer and garage. It takes over 1hour 45 minutes to do loads sheets which is 2 sheets 2 pillowcases. The repair man told me that takes that long due to MY sheets are dirty. I have been married 46 years and never heard that ever!!! The dryer is just as bad, takes over hour and half to dry sheets and towels almost 2 hours to dry. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG ANYTHING. The person who said needed hurricane straps to hold washer is something I agree with. Just a horror.

I purchased a matching set Maytag washer & dryer June 2013. Sept 2013 the drum went out - 4 weeks for that repair. March 2014 the electric panel went out. Took about 10 phone calls with hold waits of 30 to 70 minutes and 4 months, to find out the replacement part is no longer available and the washer is discontinued. To get a new matching set, I had to pay for a new dryer and they will give me a free washer. I have to give both washer and dryer back - I paid for 2 dryers. 6 month later and more phone calls, no washer and no one will return my calls. The dryer I paid for is at the appliance store waiting on the new washer. We consumers have nowhere to go. I have heard so many similar situations. Where are we to go? Who are we to call?

I purchased a Maytag 2000 series washing machines. It broke and needed to be repaired within six months of purchase. It continued to break and need to be repaired numerous times and its only a little over 1 1/2 years old. It ripped and ruined clothing on numerous occasions. It would not drain and the door would lock with clothing inside thus ruining them. Both of these issues occurred on more than one occasion. Maytags solution for their defective washer was to keep referring me to my warranty. They were no help at all. My warranty finally came through for me and I was issued a full refund through the warranty I purchased at the time I purchased the washer. My new washer (which is not a Maytag) is being delivered Friday. So finally after being without a washer for over two weeks I will be able to wash clothes again. My experience with Maytag was frustrating and aggravating to say the least and I will definitely never purchase Maytag again. They are far from reliable.

Never liked this machine. No flexibility in settings, ruins clothes, noisy and often shuts down. But main concern in the fact the whole top is rusting by the bleach dispenser and it leaks from the top all over. It is only 3 or 4 years old. Can not believe an expensive product like this can be so bad.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher on Nov. 5, 2013 from Freds Appliance. I had to have the control panel fixed twice and it failed again in June 1916. My stemware had a film on it and I either had to wash it by hand or rinse it in hot water and dry by hand. Thus I felt like how could my other dishes not have this film on them even though I faithfully used Finish. I have 2 daughters who live within a half mile of me and they did not have this trouble with their dishwashers. I always felt Maytag was a top brand, but I replaced my 3 year old Maytag with a Whirlpool that my daughter and her family of 4 used for 19 years. Guess what... my glasses come out sparkling without using Finish and they wash in half the time and are dry!

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer about 2 years ago; dissatisfied with the products. Washer continues to smell. I clean it all the time with the Affresh tablets. Usually, I have to use 2 bags just to get it not to smell for at least 2 weeks. Now, the glass front dryer is rusting out around the window.

Purchased a new top loading HE washer in 9/2012. This machine gets very little use - approximately 10-12 loads a month. It is now broken awaiting parts which will cost about $200. Of course the warranty is only good for 12 months There is no excuse for a washer this new breaking and costing this much to repair. What a piece of junk! Avoid all Maytag products.

Maytag WASHING MACHINE MVWC200XW - Will not clean our clothing. We have been tolerant of Maytags disregard for the people who have trusted their product and name over many years. No longer will we purchase a new Maytag or Whirlpool product. They say third time is the charm but I can not afford to take the chance. I wish them luck, they will need it.

I bought my Maytag dishwasher on September 4, 2013. In August 2014 the control panel went out. (Sound familiar?) The dishwasher was still under warranty, so I called Maytag. It took 3 tries to find a repair person who would come out on my schedule. (Im a teacher and cant take time off.) They installed the new control panel, and it working. I tried to submit a review on Maytags website, but my review was denied. I guess they didnt want to hear the truth.

I purchased one of the first Impeller washer and dryer. The dryer is great, but the washer needed repair immediately. Home Depot refused to exchange the pair, so I will never buy from them again. The washer takes over an hour to complete the wash cycle, has to be set on Bulk in order to get enough water for a decent wash, and is extremely rough on clothing. Its made holes in some of my shirts and everything comes out twisted without enough rinsing. Sleeves are always turned inside out. Thats how rough it is. It costs me more in water and electricity. Neither Home Depot nor Maytag would replace the pair for me.

So for the past year our 1 yr old freezer has been leaking and holding a sheet of ice at the bottom. Ive been wondering why my electric bill has skyrocketed the past two months and we just realized that the freezer wont even stay closed anymore. Maytag has become a VERY POOR product. Our less than two year old $450 Maytag Drier just busted as well. After paying repairman after repairman and replacing different parts, we had to get rid of it. I am very dissatisfied with Maytag and will never purchase a product with their name attached. Please keep us posted if there is a class action lawsuit. Bought a Maytag Model #MDB8949SAMO dishwasher. After LESS THAN 2 years the motherboard stopped working. Called Maytag to complain, but was told they couldnt do anything. I would give the dishwasher less than a star but the rating system wont allow it.

Horrible machine. Purchased on 02/28/2014. I am 63 y/o retired housewife now. Machine used only for light washing, occasional king size sheets and weekly towels. I bought into the Maytag name, am so very angry that I did. Started a load at 1215 pm today... it is still sensing, washing, rinsing, spinning and then it starts all over again. Just unplugged from the power source, hopefully I can get the clothes spun out enough to dry!! Call and live chats to Maytag were frustrating to say the least. $400 plus Maytag service call to check out the machine not fix check out repairing would be extra. (I do not live in rural area, live 5 minutes from downtown Jacksonville FL!!!) Independent Repairmen will not touch this Maytag Model (cannot say I blame them!!). DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG PRODUCT. Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer XL Series - This the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned by Maytag. I wish I could give them away. The washer does not clean my clothes and the dryer does not dry my clothes. They are absolutely terrible. Do not buy them, you will be sorry.

I bought a Bravo washer 4 years ago from Home Depot. The spin cycle is stuck on high speed and sounds like a jet plane. Repair man came and said don’t bother to fix it because the bearing is gone. The machine cost close to $900. The repair man charged over $100. We are two retired senior citizens who dont do lots of laundry. I have read numerous complaints about the Bravo washer very similar to ours. Elder abuse should protect us from Maytag’s thievery and lack of help in repairs and replacement. A class action should be in place to address the Maytag Bravos manufacturing defects. There should be a recall and some type of reimbursement on this product . Please help us with this unjust situation.

Gemini Twin natural gas range - I bought this range approximately 18 months ago. I thought it had all the features I needed and it looked good -- looking good is just about all it does! If you are a real cook I would suggest you avoid this range. The burner controls are preset and it is impossible to turn the flame very low if a simmering heat is required. If you are making meringues, again, the oven heat cannot be turned to a cool enough temperature. Ovens bake/broil unevenly. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not because the flame is not hot enough, but because the pots sit far too high above the flame. Bad, bad design. Probably designed by someone who eats take-out!!

We spent over $1,200 on a Maytag washer on 12/2015 and it did not work properly. The door got locked, had a couple loads moldy because we could not get it open. Didnt drain either. Maytag had someone come look at it 3 times and it still didnt work. Called Maytag and now they told me that they cant do anything about it because is not under their 1 year guarantee. And of course they are very sorry for my unfortunate inconvenience. I thought they had a good honest reputation but... Im just disappointed!

I purchased this machine 6 months ago - have called 2 repair people. Thank God I purchased at Sears with extended warranty, was just replaced. I would tell you if you are looking for a machine run away from this one. It tears clothes, have to wash everything on bulk wash or I would not get enough water to say how bad this washer is. If someone called me and said I won this washer, I would say no thank you. And if I had to say Maytag repair called them, said she not getting enough water. Now this is what they told him: thats how we designed it. Forget about big drum, you cant put blankets or any larger items, goes off balance. And I have to say, if I had the money, I would put to the road and go back to wringer type. So again, do not make my mistake. Do not buy this washer and let me say the second day I made a complaint, was told it take time to get adjusted...NOT. I give this washer a 0.

I have a 26 cu. ft. side by side Model MZD2665HES, like most folks in my neighborhood (spec homes). The icemaker died and service was called. They looked at solenoid, and replaced the ice maker assembly as a wag that it was the problem.. still no ice, but the water was still able to be called. I replaced filter- still water only, no ice. Little did we know it was the filler tube blocked with ice, and the service man didnt once suggest turning off the water service. SO, every time water was called to either make ice or to fill a cup with, it put intense pressure on the point of assembly where the water line comes into the fridge (water inlet tube). A pin hole developed in the little plastic bit (water inlet tube plate) and every time the water was called to ice, guess what happened - it shot right out the back on drywall.Almost $20,000 dollars worth of damage to wood floor (warped), drywall (jello), and flooring (carpet) ensued. Mold was all over and had to be contained and treated for days to be fixed. Im still duking it out with service repairman and insurance companies. My advise: If you have this fridge or anything like it and the ice maker stops working, IMMEDIATELY shut down the water supply, turn the fridge off and check the filler tube in the back for ice blockage. Probably a good idea to pull the fridge forward once in a while and check the back for water also.

1st service call about 2 years after we got it. Put around $200 in it. Now broke down again. Service tech quoted $475.00 to fix it. So it was basically totaled after around 6 years. Nightmare kept getting LD (long drain) code. After hours of research I finally called service. Would not drain so I had to wring out a whole load of laundry and bail out the water by hand. Miserable experience!

Having had a household for over 40 years we have had a few washers come and go. I hate to say it but this line of washers should go. Worst pile of junk parts I have seen. Bought it from Costco a few years ago based on past histories of Maytags. Was I ever so wrong. It has never worked well. I chalked it up to being Water Efficient but after reading over 8 pages of scornful reviews, I was mistaken. Water level is always too low to do anything so clothes are needing rewashed. Have reverted to using the Bulky setting to do general washing as that fills the tub about 1/4 of the way. Then the spin cycles stops due to unbalanced load and loud banging of the wash drum, EVERY LOAD!!! And now for the past month Code DL pops up saying it is taking too long to drain. I have checked all hoses for blockages, none seen. And with the glass top, you can SEE the washer NOT WORKING right. We have a door on the laundry room and even with it closed the volume is over 70 dB and can overpower most conversations in our family room 20 feet away. I have been told that Costco may take it back but why punish Costco members for a design failure of Maytag??? Has anyone thought about a Class Action Lawsuit? The Bravos Quiet Series 400 dryer match to this washer has so far been flawless. I may have to dig the 20 year old Whirlpool washer out of the storage shed to replace this Maytag. Sad. I want to state my true feelings but I will not use profanity here.

Just so everyone knows, Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana washers are all made by the same company and almost all of the internal parts are the same. The differences are mostly cosmetic, its just a way to sell more of the same thing to different classes of people. Just like Chrysler sells Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge, they all had the same engines, transmissions and electrical systems, just different looks to appeal to different people. I found this out the hard way after purchasing an Amana front loader washer and dryer that broke down on me every other week for a year. I got tired of it and purchased the Maytag 2000 series. This set also breaks down on a regular basis! This is when I found out from the repair company that services these machines that all I did by getting rid of the Amana set and buying the Maytag set was buy a different looking set. Now I am really pissed. This company works for Whirlpool warranty servicing Whirlpool, Amana and Maytag as well as other major brands. All same machines inside the repair man said! Look into it, research it online and call whirlpool for yourselves as I did. You will find it to be true. So if you hate your Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana front loader washer or dryer, research and buy from a different company or you will buy the same old problems again and again.

I bought a Maytag Bravos washer in March 2015. Over the summer I had two items, both cotton t-shirts come out of the washer badly stretched and torn. Other items have come out badly stretched, but not destroyed. After the second shirt was destroyed, I called Maytag (Sept. 2015). A young man was sent over. He ran the diagnostic, finding nothing wrong. He did not check the agitator. He reported back that it must be the way I loaded the machine. I use the Normal and Active Wear settings, leaving the center clear. My loads are very small. Under these conditions items should not get caught. Maytag stands by their claim that it is my fault. I only figured out what was actually happening when I saw an item caught.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever had in my life. Machine started bouncing during the wash cycle and also the spin stopped. Never in my life have I had a machine fail on me like this one. I spent a lot of money on this. This machine should be recalled. I read up on all the complaints. Its a model #Tw6600TQ0.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator (MBR2258XES4) from Home Depot in 2012. I bought a five year extended warranty. It started leaking at the bottom. Repairmen said defrost drain clogged not covered! Cost: $180. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG, N.E.W. (Asurion Co.) warranties or Home Depot appliances! This is text book deceptive advertising. At no time did Home Depot associates in Kitchen and Bath departments say that this common design flaw existed and that it was not covered under the N.E.W. Asurion warranty which cost me an an additional $150.00! I am interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Home Depot and Asurion Co (N.E.W.) warranties.

I bought my Maytag about 3 years ago. Have had continuous problems and now the whole barrel has broke and dropped down. I was treated with disrespect from the repair man and will never buy another Maytag washer.

In 2003, I purchased a brand new Maytag washer and dryer set, I chose Maytag because of their reputation. Within the first 6 months, I had a bearing go bad on it and that had to be fixed. It has become noisier and noisier throughout the years and now it is leaking all over the floor when I do a load. I am single, I live alone, I do laundry very seldom and do not do large loads. I am so disappointed with Maytag. When the repairman came out initially to fix it, he said that the brand he fixes most often is Maytag. Expensive lesson learned, Ill never buy any type of Maytag product again.

I suppose I am the lucky one in that the Maytag Bravos was given to me free. I took out a perfectly good Maytag standard agitator washing machine and replaced it with this several years old unit. What a mistake! I read the other reviews and see that I share the same problems. I always get a the oL fault as soon as it goes to do the final spin. So I have to reset and try again. Also I have seen the same kind of dirt on the clothing as others report. I dont know that I will waste my time contacting anyone about the fault code. I may just put the old one back in and scrap this thing!

Washer needs new transmission at only 3 years old! Maytags 10 year part replacement doesnt cover it. The company actually asked why I didnt purchase extended warranty, I thought I didnt need one. Bad bearings, it doesnt wash the clothes clean, $400 to fix it. Needless to say Im buying a new washer and it will not be a Maytag, worthless piece of scrap!

Its a lose-lose situation for the consumer, as the cost of parts and labor for the repair equals or eclipses the replacement cost of a new unit.Another fine example of the degradation of an American brand, once known for quality and reliability. This oven isnt even worth talking about. Just dont buy it. I used to bake a lot, but my recipes dont turn out anymore. My old oven was much easier. I dont know what the problem is, but I suspect it is oven temperature. The door also sticks. I have only had this a year and am ready to junk it.

I will NEVER get another Maytag product ever again! My not even 1 year old washer broke and I have been waiting almost 2 1/2 months for a part to be replaced. My partner and I are nurses working on the front lines during this COVID pandemic and I can’t even wash my scrubs at my own house but instead I have to go to a damn washateria. The “supervisor” told me 2 weeks ago that if the part is not in by today, 1/27/21, that a brand new washer will be sent to me. Well I call today and the people I spoke to denied any recollection of this information. The “supervisor” stated that she is “documenting all of the information” so when I called back I would not have a problem. Once again I have been lied to and wasting my breath and time. The customer service has been TERRIBLE and I cannot believe that this was once a “reliable” brand! Clearly this brand is unreliable and the personnel is also unreliable. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A MAYTAG! Save your money and buy a different brand!

I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

We had been a Whirlpool only brand household for as long as I can remember. When our Whirlpool washer and dryer gave out on us 11 years ago, we had a friend swear by the quality of Maytag appliances and decided to try something new. We purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer set. We have had our Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer since 2003 and both appliances are still as dependable and hard working as the day we purchased them. We live in a house with well water and our water is treated to be soft water.We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren who have come and put our machines through some heavy duty challenges when their non-Maytag brand washers and dryers have failed them. We are still very satisfied with our Maytag purchase some 11 years later, and so are our daughters and grandchildren!

We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

We have had our Maytag double oven for about 5 years. 18 months ago two of the burner knobs froze off. You cannot turn them. We had oven repaired - they replaced part WPW 10204705 - it cost us approx. $400 to repair. Here we are today and ANOTHER burner know has frozen in the off position. I will have to pay again to have this repaired. We are super disappointed with this over and with Maytag. We would never purchase from them again.

I bought a Maytag washer expecting To get the best and have already had Service on it three times and it still isn’t working. Im living in a shop lot area and its near a university school. It has different laundromat stores here, and the cheapest is the one who have Maytag washers. So Ive been going there to wash clothes and as time passes, I noticed that the clothes have been getting stains after washing and these stains cannot be removed easily. Ive read reviews about clothes getting stained using Maytag washers and I cant believe that it happened to me. I dont know whats with Maytag that makes the clothes dirty/stained. I went to other laundromat stores that are not using Maytag washers. Its quite expensive, but it really makes your clothes clean.

We have had this refrigerator since January 2011. All was OK for 18 months. Then the lid to the deli drawer fell off, the plastic bar that holds the two drawers up broke (weve had to use roof shingles to prop them up) and another one of the plastic pieces crumbled. Now the ice maker wont work and the refrigerator makes a loud ticking noise. There are only two older adults here and we have not treated this appliance roughly. After reading all the complaints on this site, Im wondering if any of it is worth fixing. My GE refrigerator worked for almost 20 years.

I have done widespread reading and realize that the front panel flashing and a clanging noise coming from the fridge, as well as it not cooling or freezing or the water dispenser not working, is a common issue. My extended warranty had run out, and as I rely on the fridge given Im insulin-diabetic and have meds to store, I phoned Maytag to see if they would help regarding the part. No joy. It means that as I cannot to pay a repairman hundreds of dollars to repair it, I have to order the HV board myself and will attempt to fix it. I am hugely disillusioned with Maytag and would never recommend it to anyone.

Washer sounds like gearing is broken, is noisy during operation, various combinations of options dont work, appearance of only one agitation cycle combination on washer, just many settings but all with the same response; dryer does not timely dry clothes, all settings default to the same palpable heat temperature; clothes take much longer to dry in new dryer than they did in old Maytag. Newer Maytag set appears to be secondhand garbage sold as new by Menards. Company unresponsive to complaints.

I bought a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749SBW2 in 2013. It worked great for 2 years. In 2015, the control panel malfunctioned. All the lights on the control panel would light up and the dishwasher wouldnt start. I called Maytag. They sent out a service tech. He replaced the control panel. I started having the same problems two years later, 2017. I called Maytag today, 9/11/17, to see if they had recalled this dishwasher. No, it hasnt been recalled. They offered to sell me a extended warranty for $400+, that would pay for the service call and parts or, I could find another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid dishwasher and depending on the model, I could get a 25-45% discount on a new one. I asked why they havent recalled this model, due to the problems that so many people are having. They dont know. Im writing this review to let those of you who have bought this dishwasher know, that the product is faulty.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer in 2009. I have had nothing but problems. Since, it seems that this washer was never tested nor perfected but just put on the market to sell to us, the consumers, the company does not care that this washer breaks down constantly. First the pump had to be replaced, then the tub was replaced. These were nothing compared to coins falling through to get caught in the pump and cause the washer not to drain. When I bought my washer, I also purchased an extended warranty not knowing that if the washer were to breakdown to many times, Maytag would refuse to repair under the service plan that I purchased because now they are telling me that by letting the coins fall through is abuse of the washer. Really so what they are saying is accidents will not be covered, I thought thats why we purchase insurance.Thank You, Maytag. I will never buy your product again.

Im not sure that the guys who designed this unit ever actually tested it. During the wash cycle, if you have something like a fitted sheet it will actually stuff all of the surrounding wash items into the sheet until it forms one huge, round ball. Then it gets really interesting because the vicious spin cycle sends the machine marching around the laundry room and this happens even if the wash has not balled up. I now try to evenly distribute the wash within the tub prior to starting the wash cycle but it doesnt work. So now I grab a cup of coffee and newspaper and sit with my washer throughout the entire spin cycle to make sure that the hoses dont tear out of the wall.

Since then it burned every single fabric silk to cotton, tops, pants and sheets to comforters even on delicate setting, costed me thousands of dollars. We are totally wasted our time and money by buying this product. I would never recommend to anyone. It’s disappointing and pathetic to see how they even pass the quality testing before they release to the consumers. All my brand new clothes and comforters one wash and they are ???? burned. Not even one star worth my time. I cant wait to get it replaced ASAP. I have pics to provide. Totally dissatisfied with this dryer. Washing machine is two star only compared to other brands.

When my husband surprised me with a double oven stove I was leery. First Thanksgiving my thoughts were concurred as the 20lb turkey fell from the chinsey rack.....even a cookie tray with almonds fell down.... Unfortunately the lower oven is off by 1/2, no racks work in there. My biggest gripe is that the seller did not exchange it, just tried more racks. Now Maytag will not do anything but allow me to order more racks. This item is a huge piece of junk.

The bleach dispenser will dispense bleach BUT it is full of water after each use. The dispenser is flushed with water by the machine at the engineered time in the cycle. The warranty service companies want me to pay around $300 ($100 + $70/ hr) for them to work on it. I have to use a measuring cup and pour water into the dispenser until it begins to siphon out. Stop pouring, and the dispenser will be empty for the next addition of bleach. The washer is allowing water to partially fill the dispenser AFTER the bleach has been flushed/siphoned out into the load of clothes. If the flush water were completely shut off after flushing operation, the dispenser should be empty.

Bought a Maytag front load washer. When it is operating it is very loud. Some parts of the washer are made of cheap plastic. The Optimum detergent dispenser also of cheap plastic failed after 1 month. Disappointed in finding out only the outside metal box was made in America. All inside components are made in China which raised the cost $300 due to recent tariffs.

I have always had faith in Maytag when it comes to appliances. As of yesterday, it is gone. We purchased the Bravos XL dryer in January 2013. Last weekend it was running, but not drying. We placed a call for a serviceman to come fix it. Discovered the heating element had gone out on it. We had to pay $300 for the repair. I am greatly disappointed a $1,000+ dryer is already having issues. Maytag should stand behind this problem and offer to pay for the damages, as from reading the reviews, it looks like this is an ongoing problem. Maytag should be ashamed of providing a product of such poor quality.

About 9 yrs ago, we remodeled our house. And when it came to appliances, I was vehement we were going to go with Maytag because of their great name and reliability (We have 7 sons and needed reliable appliances). Boy, was I ever wrong?! We have gone through 2 Maytag dishwashers and countless repairs to the Maytag dryer. And our top of the line refrigerator has been a piece of junk!Of course, shortly after the year warranty was up, the flimsy pieces of plastic holding up the shelves started breaking off. The repairman, who came to replace the cooling coil on the refrigerator, said those shelf plugs couldnt be fixed. The whole front of all drawers have come off as well. He mentioned that Maytag was going bankrupt and started compromising on fit and finish. And he said that we just happened to purchase in that time frame. Now, we have a compressor that needs to be replaced for over $500! I have, in my garage, a Gibson freezer from my grandma that is 40 yrs old, and literally the most reliable appliance we have. Never have we made any repairs to it!I called Whirlpool (since they bought Maytag) to tell about my horrible experience with Maytag, and let them know we have to replace these appliances. I asked if there was anything they could/would do (discounts whatever) to redeem their name. I was told that they would not be able to help at all. So, I told them that I would not give Whirlpool anymore of my business and warn anyone I could, not to buy Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana. Isnt there any appliance company out there who cares about customer service, a good name and a reliable product?!

Deceptive company and won’t stand behind their product! Purchased brand new washer. Identified and reported noise that I can hear upstairs in my house while washing to technician. Changed a part, not related to the noise. Called back out. He admitted he could hear the noise. Whirlpool engineering department says normal. Sorry, I should never hear a clicking noise upstairs with two closed doors and 150 feet between me and the washer. Will be going back to Samsung next time.

The performance of the refrigerator is disappointing. It was difficult to find someone to repair it when the freezer fan motor went out. It makes noise, shelf space is insufficient. Temperature mechanism often doesnt work properly.

The Maytag Washer and Dryer we bought new and they have been great. The dryer was bought in 1972 and still works well. The washer was bought in 1997 and still does a good job. We are satisfied with the long time these 2 appliances have lasted. Do any appliances manufactured today last that long?

Purchased Bravos 300 quiet series wash and dryer 3 1/2 yrs ago new. 18 months ago the washer gives me f51 and ul codes. To repair this USA made washer will cost over 250 dollars. I see why the Maytag repairman is not busy. Cause after 2 years you gotta buy a new one. All these digital controls are made in China - junk. Ill buy LG or Samsung next.

Horrific, useless, inconsiderate, rude, discourteous, arrogant and banal! I bought a brand new washer and dryer. The dryer is steam type and defective and they will not exchange, despite never being used. Nowhere am I committed to an agreement saying that the machine will not be replaced if it is defective. I am getting the run-around from the store, the manufacturer and the service technicians that didnt even arrive with tools when they came to evaluate the problem. If I had my way, I would return the washer and dryer and change manufacturers. But it is a stacking unit and I used the washer which commits me to it! Maytag, Whirlpool, JennAir and KitchenAid are all the same company. I am running out of options except going to the European manufacturers! Miele will at least install the appliances. They will be my next machines and I will not have to pay a plumber twice to install them the next time!

Nobody seems to know how to replace this part online. I have discovered what a POS this Maytag MGDC700VWO dryer is. The ONLY way to access this part is to beat an access hole in the bottom-left panel. After the repair, you are left with a nice 4 hole??? What an absolute POS! The back panel has screws but after removing them, I discovered the panel is also tack-welded! This is beyond stupid! Maytag used to be a great product before they were obviously sold to the Yugo factory. Time to move on.

I had my Maytag washer and dryer just barely over 30 days. My washer sounded awful and I had to get a new motor. Then my clothes would come out with dry spots. Not enough water. The computer was replaced and within a few months of purchase, all the major parts of my washer were replaced. I hate it! My clothes still come out with dry spots and it is loud. Worst major purchase I made. Dryer so far has been ok.

Because the design is bad, the refrigerator has to be defrosted once a month. A home filled with Maytag appliances, these are all 4 years old and ready for the trash. Dont buy Maytag, it is crap. They sell for money, not workability. The name has been trashed by Whirlpool. I am a builder and they will not ever see me recommend them, not even to a neighbor I dont like.

I purchased a product less than one year ago. The clothes are getting snagged in seam on interior of the front panel. I went back to the store and felt the same gap in the seam on the panel on a floor model, so I know it is not just my machine. I called Maytag service and a representative acknowledged the problem but also said that if there is no fix for it, I would be charged for a service call even if no part was replaced- quite a contradictory statement. She said she doubles as the Complaint Department. If this is a manufacturing defect, it should be replaced. The front panel should be recalled.

I spent a lot of money for top-of-the-line Maytag. It sanitized and worked to perfection. Delay wash, force wash, grinds everything you could possibly ever want. Fantastic and I can move the racks around. Beautiful. Stainless steel tub. Stainless outside. It has a ribbon cord in the controller. They didnt seal the controller head enough. So the dishwasher stops working after an almost guaranteed 2 yards from the ribbon cord rusting. Well you got to buy another one and it comes as a fill unit at 250 IF you replace it yourself. About 500 for a plumber. And you replace it every 2 years. Maytag is having class actions about it, it knew it has the problem. Its just very profitable to continue having the problem.

I purchased a front load washer over 2 year ago and the bearing on it has gone bad. Maytag jumped at offering to ship the parts to me at no cost (which at the time I thought was great). I waited 3 months to finally get the part, because it was on back order, and now was just hit with the labor bill! If I would have known a brand new washer was going to go bad after 2 years and cost me over $500 to repair, I would have gone with another brand, In fact, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool. I will ensure that I tell everyone and post comments all over the website about how ** of a product Maytag/Whirlpool produces. Companies like these give the U.S. a bad name! Maytag, you suck!

Purchased a Maytag Bravo Quiet Washing machine. Nice and big for our family and uses less water. Generally okay with it (occasionally need to rinse clothes again as they have streaks/spots after the hand-wash cycle due to low water feature). This year it started making a loud noise while spinning, obviously the bearing. Googled reviews on this washer, reviewers explained Maytag now owned by Whirlpool and not the quality it used to be. Called the repair line, Whirlpool refused to say whether or not this would be covered by the limited warranty, even though it is very clear which part is causing the problem. The only way they would tell is if someone came out, then we were charged $149 for 5 minutes of looking at the machine to be told it isnt covered. In the end we will order the part and fix it ourselves. We will remember not to buy Maytag again.

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

We bought this stove in 2014. One knob got stuck while my teenager was cooking food on the gas stove. He called me at work worried because he couldnt turn it off. My husband left work right away to go home. We thought it was just a bad plastic knob. Now a second knob is stuck in the on low position. There is a third knob that feels hard to turn. That will be 3 burners. This is ridiculous. Its a safety hazard. We consumers have to worry if the house will burn down, get CO2 in the air, and if our family and children are safe. We thought Maytag was a good appliance. I will not buy another Maytag. They should recall this stove top/oven. I have read so many of the same complaint on this website as well as online in general. I cant believe they continue to sell this with this much of a safety issue. Please take it off the market.

We purchased this washer (MHW05500FWD) and dryer set in 09/26/2016 and have had nothing but issues. I have had the repairmen out twice. The first time the washer wasnt rinsing out clothes, when the repairman came out he couldnt find anything. In June of 2017 the same thing happen. Once again the repairman came out. I found out that there was a recall on the part which was on Backordered. Now the matching dryer model MED5500FWD is not drying. This is the worst washer and dryer I have ever own. I will NEVER own another front loader again. Buyer Beware!!!

Purchased Maytag Bravos Washer in 2013. Used a little over a year and had to put it in storage for 2 years. Biggest piece of junk Ive ever had. Ive had cheap washers that lasted more than 20 years! Repairman said all diagnostics read normal. I put a very small load in to show him the water was not even wetting the clothes and only swishing them around a little. The shirt on top never got wet and was still in its same position when it went into the final spin. He said this is normal. He recommended I dump the machine and find an old NON Maytag model with the tall agitator!!! Ive tried using all the settings combinations; and the water level never gets all the clothes wet and clothes do not get clean. Will NEVER buy a Maytag product again.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL Top Loading Washer and matching dryer in 2013. I had a repairman out to install a new screen on the dryer because the lint was spilling over into the surrounding area. The new screen has been catching most of the lint, but I still have to vacuum the surrounding area after a few loads. Also, I have to turn the dryer on two (2) cycles in order to dry most of the clothes, and the machine makes a lot of noise. Those are minor problems compared to the washer. It constantly tears holes in my towels and wash clothes. I NEVER put in a full load because the water level is so low, and it does not clean the clothes. It takes a long time to go through cycles and it is EXTREMELY noisy.I called Maytag and they said that they never heard of the problem of creating holes in towels and wash clothes, and wanted to charge me over $100 to have a repairman come out. They also said that the repairman might not find anything wrong. I feel that the washing machine is very hard on the clothes - like the salesman at Lowes said It’s like beating the clothes against a rock. The washer and dryer are JUNK, and I would not recommend these to anyone! I would trash them, but they were very expensive and we cannot afford to buy new at this time.

Updated on 02/13/2021: Maytag stove purchased 15 years ago for about $500. Replaced mother board about 5 years ago which wasnt cheap, but otherwise, stove has performed with no problems and still looks and behaves like a new stove.Original review: Our 6-7 year old well cared for Maytag range oven recently stopped working. After a service call for diagnostics, it was determined the electronic module controlling the clock and all oven functions was dead. We were told by the Maytag service tech the module cost was 300$. That cost plus labor for less than an hour, plus the 60$ diagnostic visit came to almost 500$ which is close to cost of a new stove. The technician answered yes to my question, Do you replace a lot of these? He also said the cause may be power fluctuations making me think that surely there is a way to prevent this kind of failure. So, since the price seemed exorbitant, I wrote Maytag to inquire about causation/prevention, etc. I received a fairly prompt and polite reply with totally no explanation. I wrote another email with relatively the same results. I dont recommend buying an electronically controlled Maytag stove.

Bravos X high efficiency... efficient at not cleaning your clothes, efficient at ruining clothes, sheets, towels, may be efficient at being a boat anchor. Maytag offers nothing. Have had washers last 20 years or more. Someone, or some atty. General should bring a class action suit. Horrible product. Dont buy one. DONT BUY MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL. THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. JUNK. That report was very fair as requested. You really dont want to know how I really feel.

The low water usage design is horrible. Clothes dont get clean as it doesnt use enough water to cover them. Takes twice as long to do a load as our old washer. Took about 1 1/4 hours yesterday for 1 load using heavy which is the only setting that uses more than a thimble of water. Should have looked for a commercial type with a real agitator and adequate water usage. Not saying Maytag is probably any worse than any other brand of new efficiency government mandated garbage washer, but its no good.

Add me to the list of people who hate this washing machine. It does not use enough water to get clothes really clean, leaves spots, is hard on clothes and tears them up, and the spin cycle gets unbalanced too easily. It has taken me hours to wash one load with a blanket in it because of the spin problems. I have not been able to restart the spin cycle without starting the wash cycle from the beginning.

My Maytag Neptune washer was purchased last October 2010. In the past few months, the washer has been making a loud noise when spinning/washing. I had a Maytag repairman look at the washer, and all the barring, etc. needed to be replaced, which would have a cost of over $450.00! I am very upset with this outcome and just looked into it and found that this washer had recalls that the consumers were not properly notified about. The lack of recall communication is inexcusable, especially since I even went as far as to buy a 3-year extended warranty and still was not notified.What really set this situation was that the repairman suggested to not buy a Maytag washer and he added that it would not be a problem since Maytag has been purchased by Whirlpool and that the Neptune washer played a part of the ending of Maytag! This whole situation has really put a bad taste for any Maytag product, and all of my major appliances are Maytag as well as the dryer I just purchased a week ago, before I knew about all of the disappointment of Maytag. I am sure the response I will be getting will be as good as the notification of the recall, which will be nothing. Thanks!

I purchased a Maytag electric range model # MER8775AS in Feb 2012. While boiling syrup, the pan overflowed onto the oven door. As I began to clean up the spill I noticed that some of the spill had gotten inside the door on the inside of the oven glass. To remove the stain would require disassembly of the door. I called Maytag and complained of what I called a design flaw and they said, No, its your fault for spills entering the door. They even sent a condescending email to me informing me that if I needed to purchase parts, where I could get them. I designed appliances for years and this is another example of poor quality and lack of consumer service. I AM DONE WITH MAYTAG.

Refrigerator failed in less than 7 years. In August 2005, I purchased a new Maytag side-by-side refrigerator to match the Maytag appliances (stove, microwave and dishwasher) in the new house provided by builder. In October 2011, I called a repairman because of noise. The relay switch was replaced for $179. Now, I am told the compressor and defrost circuit board need to be replaced for over $700. I will never buy another Maytag appliance or Whirlpool. They make and sell crap and dont stand behind their crappy products.

We purchased a refrigerator in December 2010 with a 12-month warranty. Since the refrigerator was delivered, we have experienced nothing but problems. Most recently, there was a problem with the auto defrost causing us to lose all our food stored. It also caused water damage to our floor. We scheduled maintenance with a contracted company through MayTag. After three scheduled visits, which made me miss 3 and a half days of work resulting in an additional loss of over $300, our refrigerator is still broken and they just want us to schedule another maintenance visit. When calling Maytag customer service we are literally told, “your loss, there is nothing we can do to resolve your issue, we can only continue to send out maintenance.” I am so disappointed in this company, the product, the customer service, maintenance service etc.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

I purchased a washer on 8/13/12. I had it installed on 8/20/12. It did not clean clothes properly. I went to Two Guys and they said they dont take returns and told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and they sent a a service agent to check the machine on 9/10/12. They said the machine codes were imbalanced and over stud. They need to recalibrate the machine. I did laundry the same day and still find clothes do not come clean. I need to return the machine. I called Maytag and was told they dont take returns. This machine is not cleaning clothes as it should be and I want a refund!

Our washer/dryer combination (2005 Maytag Neptune MLE2000AZW) has given us nothing but problems. The main problem is the stink from the washer. The unit is no longer usable and we are searching for a top loading unit to fit in the space. I am so angry - how did this piece of junk ever pass Maytags quality control?

I bought my washer in 2016 and now it’s broke again. This is the fourth time! I’ve gone everything to take care of this and it’s a lemon! I will never buy Maytag again. I want to buy USA products but four times for repairs in three years is way too many. I guess it doesn’t matter what name is on it. My last washer was a GE and was still running after 15 yrs when I bought this one. Not one repair ever made on it! I’m telling everyone to stay away from maytag.

Bought this Maytag microwave mmv 4205ds March 2016. Have had open/close problems five times in 3 years. Unit replaced under warranty once. Now out of warranty. No need to mention inconveniences we’ve been through. Whirlpool-Maytag obviously have done nothing to correct this problem. I will never buy any of their product again. Wanted to give them ‘0’ stars but program won’t allow me.

The big problem is Lowes and Home Dopey, I mean Depot. I am an appliance repairman for 30 years. Their machines are built to a lower spec. Buying same machine from mom n pop store will help! Will cost you more but it will last longer with less repairs! P.S., While Maytag does make some of their own appliances, when Whirlpool bought Maytag years ago they shut down the Newton, Iowa plant. Whirlpool builds that washer and puts Maytags name on it. If you want a good washer buy a Speed Queen, go online and check their reviews! One more thing, LG and Samsung build terrible appliances. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them, just saying!

I purchased this new a year and 4 months ago and have had nothing but issues. We thought it cooked slow or cooked high/low but couldnt be sure if we were just imagining it until we had family come down at Christmas and complain about how slow the top burners are and why is it taking so long to boil water. Then again family for Easter where they cooked three days in a row and they complained that our top oven either burns or under-cooks the food which we had noticed but presumed we just mistimed a lot of food. Just recently the bottom oven wont heat past 350 and just constantly says preheating. The top oven followed suit shortly after. Nothing past 350.

First off, everyone seeing this should be fuming as I am because we are mostly in the same boat with these control panel issues. Mine is Maytag model MDB7749SBM3 about 575.00. A little bit cheaper than most of you because I purchased at the online and had a rebate. About a couple months after the warranty expired, we started having weird light issues with the control panel where are one light would pop up when you didnt hit it or other lights would pop up when you hit something else. We kept dealing with it thinking that it would dry out and resolve itself. Lo and behold, just like it appears to be tens of thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands of machines, it quit. I read this consumer affairs post after it quit and now I know why it did. I opened up the control panel and sure enough, the little ribbon that connects all the electrical connections had brown on the back like it was burnt through. I was able to find a special 1 800 number that Whirlpool has set up because they have purchased Maytag and the woman I spoke with said they would send a technician out and that I was responsible for the diagnostic fee. I was born but it wasnt yesterday. I immediately said to the woman, Absolutely unacceptable. I am NOT paying for anything, very politely highlighting the fact that I know they settled a class action lawsuit in California regarding a control panel issue and there are hundreds maybe thousands of complaints on consumer affairs.com. The woman place me on hold, I am assuming to speak with her supervisor and then let me know that they would pay for the diagnostic fee. She said a repair date for me for about a week and a half later. The repairman had a good day because the dishwasher was already disassembled for him and he proceeded to take pictures and call Maytag. Maytag told him that I was responsible for the installation cost and service fee which according to the technician is about a hundred bucks. I told the technician that is fine but it will not be fine when I call Maytag back. I have not spoken to Maytag about the hundred dollars needs to file a claim for a new dishwasher and associated damages. I have not spoken to Maytag about the hundred dollars but I am only on this to let you know that every single one of us needs to file a claim for a new dishwasher in associated damages in small claims court. I plan on filing a claim for approximately $700 for a new dishwasher and damages. In my opinion, I feel like we should all do this, otherwise big corporations like this will continue to shovel garbage into the stores left and right.Have a good day and good luck with your court case hopefully. I purchased the top load Maytag Commercial Residential washer with an agitator last month. I wanted a basic washer with Hot/Warm/Cold settings, Delicate/Normal/Heavy Duty cycles, Small/Medium/Large loads. I paid over $800 for this washer and I cannot wash my whites or rags in hot water! The hot water setting dispenses hot water, then cold water, back and forth. The end result is cool water. Ive called Maytag, Ive been told that there is nothing that can be done about it, thats how theyre made to be considered HE. I asked them why they even put a hot or warm water setting on the washer.You have no control over the water level, all cycles except for normal run in a deep water setting (full drum of water), I dont know why delicates are in a deep water setting. I only wash a couple pieces of delicates together. I end up using a lot more water and detergent with this washer. I hope we dont have to conserve water in the next few years! So though this washer uses less hot water energy, it wastes a lot of water, my water bill goes up and my detergent is used up much quicker! I cannot add time to my wash cycle, (the actual washing/agitation cycle is very short - 10 minutes) it has to drain all of the water and re-start the cycle with more water! $800 is a lot of money for a washer that doesnt wash like my old cheap washer. The local store cant do anything about it and Maytag brushed me off.

Maytag top loader washer will not complete cycles. Washer is only fourteen months old. Repairman says parts will cost four hundred and seventy four dollars - almost what I paid for the washer.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in July 2016. In August 2016 it broke for the first time. I was just passed my 30 day moneyback guarantee, so Sears would not take the washer back. I have had more than 10 service calls on this washer in one year. I live in a rural area, so Maytag told me I was in a non-serviceable area and would have to wait WEEKS until they found a repair person willing to come to me. I only live 40 miles from Richmond VA, where I purchased the washing machine, so imagine my shock when they told me they couldnt fix it because of my location! Ive had countless people in and out of my house, and it still does not work right. You can only do very small loads, so the perk of having an XL machine is none. But even at that, it does not properly clean anything, tangles clothes, and will leave even the cleanest items looking terrible when they come out.Ive had a new circuit board, new transmission, new bearings and gears, new balancing rods, and still, Im left with a machine that does not wash and makes terrible grinding noises. I bought the washer and matching dryer as a set, and even the dryer had to get a new circuit board put in it in the 1st 60 days! After thousands of dollars in repairs on a $1000 washer, Maytag will not admit I have a defective machine and replace it! I just ran a load of laundry and have to call Maytag yet again, because the grinding noise gets louder with every run. Do not waste your money!I would give anything to have the 29 year old set I gave away when I bought this garbage back! I have literally been on the phone with Maytag in tears because it doesnt work properly, Ive had to throw away items that would not come clean because there is not a laundromat available in the town I live in. All I want is to be able to keep my family in clean clothing and linens, doesnt seem like too much to ask.

Purchased a Maytag - MDB7749AWM1 dishwasher in 2011 from Home Depot. The door seal has failed several times and been replaced by a serviceman. The warranty has since run out but the seal continues to fall out every time you run the dishwasher and open the door. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I have considered gluing the seal in place but cant find a glue that will handle the temperature. Im sure that Maytag will say they have never seen this problem before. Maytag is off my purchase list forever!!!

Had a brand new Maytag MDB4949 dishwasher installed on 10/20/15. Noticed an acrid smell of burning plastic coming from the pull handle. After going to the reviews I see a pattern of shorting control panel boards melting the ribbon cable. Having repaired Xerox copy machines for 17 years, I recognized the smell of an electronics short and melting plastic. There are 600+ complaints for the same thing. Going to call the store we purchased it from and will escalate from there.

So this washer, Bravos MCT cleans good not great. Saves water but clothes dont always come out clean or smell fresh. We have had it for just over a year and the control panel stopped working. Warranty is good for only 1 yr. UGHH!! It is all one unit so the complete circuit board had to be replaced. Half the cost of this washer new! I saved money by replacing it myself. Took 15 minutes. Very easy. Disappointing when you see this is a come problem with this model.

We purchased washer at Sears 6 years ago. Have had same issues for 5 or more years. Sears has been out to check it 6 to 7 times! They clean it out, tell me to use (expensive) Affresh tablets monthly, problem solved but it never is! When we run our washer and walk in laundry room it smells like a sewer. If we open lid its even worse. I use Norwex all naturally, biodegradable laundry detergent. There is nothing Ive done to create this smell. Its a manufactured problem that probably relates to ALL the other issues with this crappie washer that Maytag will do nothing about. I called Sears for 7th or 8th time, said they could send someone out AGAIN, I said thats a waste of my time and yours. They told me to call Maytag. They wont do anything (warranty is up). Of course there are NO ISSUES OR RECALLS on this washer and obviously there should be with not ONE good review! Im angry. You all should be too. We paid good $ for a product that used to have a good name and they are screwing us. I think we should ban together with a class action lawsuit. Please give me your thoughts. They know something isnt right and they shouldnt get away with this.

Our range and oven are reliable and durable. Easy to clean and have lasted a long time. I do not regret spending a little extra money to have an appliance that has lasted a long time. The oven heats up at a standard rate. The self clean function is very thorough. I have a white set. I was worried they would stain with your typical spills that come along with cooking. However, They clean very easily.

Maytag Dishwasher control panel is not working again! We have owned dishwasher for less than two years but needed repair twice. This time the warranty has expired. We will not have it repaired again. Its too expensive! We will never go with Maytag again.

Please save your money and do not purchase a the Bravos XL MCT Washer and Dryer! I am sickened by the fact that I spent $1,800 on the biggest pieces of junk there ever was. Youd think a company like Maytag would be able to build a product that worked properly. We are getting ready for our FIFTH visit by a service repair company that will only plug in their computers and say nothing is wrong. Well here is what is wrong: Washer does not rinse all of the soap and I have many, MANY, pieces of dark clothing that are ruined because of the white streaks all over. I have done EVERYTHING the service guys have said to do; use less soap; use the deep water wash cycle, etc. etc. There are only two of us in the household so my average load size fills the EXTRA LARGE drum maybe half full so all their advice hasnt worked. It does not rinse the water out of a load of towels (remember there are only two us so not that many towels) and I have to run it through a rinse and spin cycle. Waste of time, energy, AND money. I washed a single coverlet and had to run it through a rinse and spin cycle twice to get the water out! If you use the bedding cycle, it runs for 90 minutes and still doesnt spin all the water out! The dryer is not better either. On average, it takes one hour and ten minutes to dry 3 bath towels, a couple of hand towels and a wash cloth. One of the service people that came out, checked our dryer vent and said everything was hooked up correctly. Talk about a waste of energy!! I would do anything to get rid of these pieces of junk but we spent so much money on them Im stuck until I win the lotto or something! I cannot stress enough that you will be wasting your money if you buy any washer and/or dryer product from Maytag! Believe me, I regret it every day!

I purchased all Maytag products for my new home three years age. The dishwasher stopped working 13 months after we purchased it. Since the home was under renovations for the first month, we only actually used it for 12 months. When I called Maytag, they told me that it was either the control panel or mother board and that they could not do anything because the warranty was only for 1 year... and didnt offer me anything to make good on this...NOW three years later, my microwave is displaying error code SE.. control panel is bad. Now I have not had a working dishwasher for two years and this just added salt to my wound. I called Maytag furious that this keeps happening with new products. The only thing they would offer to do is for me to purchase an extended warranty at $350.00 and they would have a repair guy fix the microwave. A brand new microwave would cost the same thing???? They flat out told me that there was nothing that they would do for me, and that they were not going to fix it for free.I filed a complaint with them and never heard back from anyone at Maytag. It seems strange that the control panels craps out within one to three years on two of the four Maytag products I purchased. I WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG AGAIN... I went back to Home Depot and told them that MAYTAG has LOST me as a customer and that I purchased 4 major appliances from them and two stopped working with in 1 to 3 years. Home Depot was shocked and gave me $100.00 towards a new dishwasher. And I did not buy a Maytag.... I still do not have a working microwave... But when I do have the money to replace it, it will not be MAYTAG. Looking online, I notice a lot of the same complaints about Maytags control panels...... Could it be a scam on Maytags part???

After everything posted here why would anyone take a chance buying any Whirlpool product including all subsidiaries. I made the mistake of buying a Maytag washer and dryer less than 3 yrs ago. There are only 2 people in the household and we only wash linens, towels and undergarments- the rest goes for dry cleaning. The washer stopped filling with water, similar to what was posted by another customer. Maytag customer service was 2 weeks out.When the service tech arrived he diagnosed the problem as a faulty water value but didn’t have the part- another week. I asked the tech why it takes 2 weeks to get someone out for a service call- he told me that there were 4 techs working the area but 2 quit and they were never replaced. The tech went on to say that he was leaving because of the misdirected grief he gets from customers because “the Whirlpool brand is crap”, it takes to long to get service and usually the cost is more than the appliance is worth- and they take it out on him. That is not hard to understand.Bottom line- IF THE SERVICE TECH IS TELLING YOU THE BRAND IS “CRAP” what else do you need to know. FYI- Maytag repairman quoted a new water valve at $70, labor $150 for a total of $230. I paid $600 for the machine- is this a joke? The exact same part was available on Amazon for $43 and was delivered in a day. With the help of a YouTube video I replaced the part in 10mins. On top of the fact that the appliance is crap, it would have taken 3 weeks to get fixed- Maytag is also screwing customers with overpriced parts that shouldn’t have to be replaced in the first place- fair warning, STAY AWAY.
