In December 2010, we purchased our Maytag Quiet Series dishwasher model #MDBM601AWB3, serial #NY2916421. At first the sanitize light quit working about 6 months ago. Today, September 30, 2012, this piece of crap will not turn on at all. There are no lights on at all. We paid almost $600.00. As far as being quiet, oh yes it is quiet alright! We the consumers are demanding a recall. Look at the complaints! Its a manufacturer defect in these control panels. I will not be forced into buying another dishwasher or a control panel. I want this company to stand up and say theyre sorry and fix this problem for all of us Americans!

What a disappointment. I guess this is why we no longer see that commercial about the Maytag repairman being bored. Because now, he is out fixing these pieces of shirt. Im trying to fix my washer (Model: MAH8700AWW), what a sweet pain in the **. Dont do it. Throw it away if it starts making noise like an aircraft landing.

I purchased the Top Loading Maytag Washer and have had nothing but an awful experience with this washer. The dark clothes come out with soap on them. I then need to take a wet towel to wipe out the soap stains. I have had a repairman in 2 times so far and there is nothing he can do to fix it. Maytag said I must wash all the towels with towels, all jeans with jeans, roll clothes into a loose ball before putting in machine, use the extra rinse cycle and the longest wash cycle and do not load clothes more than 5-6 inches high in the tub plus 7 other things I must do to get a clean load and none of those things have worked yet. If the salesperson would have told me all this, I never would have purchased a Maytag and nor should you!

We bought new appliances when we moved to our new house last June (2016). Sears recommended the Maytag 600S pair (HE washer and dryer). We have contacted Sears numerous time to have service people out because many times (75%) the washer does not fill with enough water to wet all the clothes and there is a layer of dry clothes at the top when the wash cycle ends.I do not believe that dry clothes get clean because they are near wet clothes in the washer. But Sears insists this is by design. Some service people tell us that the top loading HE washer will be gone soon because of the complaints but we have to struggle on. Sears seems to hope we just get tired and stop calling as their Customer Service policy. I have to dump 1-2 buckets of water into almost every wash that we do. As a side note, the 600S series has a slanted top rather than the traditional flat top. It looks cute but things fall/roll off of it. It would be nice to put things on top of the washer or dryer while doing the laundry but they roll/slide/fall off. The design is not so cute anymore. Actually, really a stupid idea.

It just keeps going. Still looks great. We have had our Maytag Neptune analog dryer for over 20 years. It has dried a usual 3 loads a day, with very little maintenance. We have replaced the motor, blower, and support rollers, but these are parts that were just wear and tear items, after years of extraordinary use. It has outlasted 3 or 4 washing machines.

I bought a Maytag washer January 2016. We recently had a issue with it so I logged onto the Maytag website and found a service provider to come see what was wrong. I had to pay a $100 fee for them to come out and look at it. I was told that the transition went bad. The parts were under warranty however I would have to pay for labor, which would be $325. Called Maytag and was told because I did not purchase an extended warranty there was nothing they could do about the labor. I can buy a new washer for $500 why would I spend $325 to fix? Already lost a $100 for them to come out to tell me what was wrong. Completely not right. A washer should last more then 4 years! Do not buy any Maytag produces. Will not last!

This washer came with the home we recently purchased. I used the machine and OMG the spin cycle is NOT quiet.. I posted a video of it on FB. A friend of mine who owns and operates an appliance center watched it.. messaged me back and said Do not call repair man as it is cheaper to buy a new machine... I knew this machine sounded like a piece of **.. I know I wont replace with the same machine.

I purchased this washer in Oct. of 2017. From the beginning, it has not cleaned clothing properly and leaves a white residue on clothing. To get the residue off, I must wash the clothing again or sometimes it will come off in the dryer. The water level is too low to efficiently clean. I thought I would save water getting this but not at the price of multiple washes... What good is that? Since there is no agitator the clothes just sit at the bottom and move back and forth as one big clump, with just a few inches of water. I am sorry Ive waited so long since I am now past the point of returning this piece of junk.

I have Maytag refrigerator that is only 2 years & 9 months old that I am told by a service tech that it has a sealed system leak. So the unit runs it just wont get cold. I have lost all the food that was in the refrigerator & freezer and I told by Maytag that its not covered under warranty. The tech gave me a ball park quote of $600.00- $700.00 to repair the unit & I lost at lest $200.00 or more in food. I cant believe a new refrigerator wont even last 3 years & they wont fix their problem. So much for buying American made products. Whirlpool YOU SUCK & SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!

We bought the highly rated Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in March of 2010. In less than a year, the dryer broke down and the drum drive belt had to be replaced under warranty. Last month the washer drum stopped turning. A & E Factory Service quoted $466.87 to replace the bearing that had failed. We have hated this washer since the day we got it. So, it wasnt hard to buy a Samsung front loader and have the miserable Maytag hauled away to wherever badly designed machines go. Trying to wash clothes using high speed spinning instead of water causes excessive wear on the clothes and the machine as well as tying the clothes in knots. It is one of the worst mechanical designs I have ever seen.

I have had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. It recently started leaking water on the floor and all over the bottom of the freezer. Repairman said it is a flaw with the defrost drain design. He thinks Maytag MIGHT have changed it since I purchased mine, but I dont know. Originally they used this small rubber valve;repairman said they get clogged very easily (even though I vacuum around it regularly and dont have any pets). He replaced that part with something sturdy that looks like a p trap. I looked online and there are loads of complaints about this exact issue with the defrost drain clogging. It cost $250 to have it repaired. I called Maytag to ask to be reimbursed and of course they will not do anything since it is out of warranty. Its a shame Maytag wont stand behind their products. Since there are so many of us with this issue, cant something be done?

My four year old Maytag stove blew out the lower heating element in the oven. The model number is MER8880AW. I removed seven small screws to confirm what the problem was and remove the element. That is a short life span for a stove element. My wife checked our paperwork and thought it indicate the part was covered on the 10 year warranty. Called Maytag at 9 AM and went through the press numbers thing, being put on hold, call dropped, told they were not open twice, etc. Finally got a person to talk to at 2:45 pm. Yes the part is covered under warranty, but no they will not give me the part.A repairman must plug it in and put the seven screws back in. This will cost me a lot more than the $50 the part cost me at the local appliance store. 10 year warranty. Wow, WORTHLESS! There WILL NEVER BE another Maytag or Whirlpool in my house. Making a big deal out of their warranty when they are going to soak you bad for a simple install is just plain dishonest.

My dishwasher is 3-4 years old and the control panel is malfunctioning. Cant push a button to choose what cycle I want, it doesnt respond. I went to the Maytag website to see if there have been others with this problem. It appears that there are many other people having this problem. Parts are not available and it seems that Maytag wont do a recall on this product due to the control panel malfunctioning. I have been dealing with this problem for the past few months. I dont think Maytag is worth the money. They want if you only get a few years out of them.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer with Commercial Technology, front loader in April 2012. Since then, the repair guy has been at my house three times in six months. This last repair is going to be just $800 in parts, not including any labor yet. So, I called Customer Service, and told them I was not satisfied with the repair job again, because I obviously have a lemon of a machine. Needless to say, I lost, and was told the warranty is only for repair, and not replacement. Well what happened to customer service? Its more like customer bend over, shut up and take it. So, I will get my repair at a cost of at least 1,200 bucks paid for by Maytag. Im not a business person, but if I were the company, I would think replacement of the unit would be a lot cheaper in the long run for this company and a happy customer for the future of me buying brands. Needless to say, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again, and you can thank your useless Customer Service department in Canada for that. P.S. I work for a company with over 10,000 employees. I might accidentally send out a little free publicity how this company treats loyal customers. I actually bought this brand because in the past, I was led to believe they were great . Wow, was I wrong!

We bought a Maytag dishwasher in May of last year. The control panel went out about 3 months after we got it. It just started doing its own thing Like not running the wash cycle or a different cycle than we pushed. We called for a repair and were told by the repair man that the control panel was on the fritz. He ordered a new one and told us it would be a month before he could come back and install it. When the control panel showed up at our house, we installed it ourselves because we did not want to have a faulty dishwasher running in the house.Just yesterday we noticed a huge rusty area on the bottom rack. We called and were hold for 20 minutes if not more, before we were even able to talk to a rep. She then came up with every excuse as to why our rack was rusty (hard water, water changing??). We asked for a new rack but she wanted to send a repair kit. We were on the phone with her for half an hour, if not more, and she just refused to send a new rack. When we finally asked to speak to the manager we were told the wait time was 32 minutes and hung up! Do not buy crappy Maytag appliances with even crappier customer service reps! (see our review about our Maytag fridge!).

I have NEVER written a review however I am compelled to write up and if I can save at least 1 family from making the mistake I did then my review will be worth it so just before Christmas last year I treated myself to a new washer. I looked at so many. Only 2 things on my wish list were 1) American Made and 2) have a large capacity for blankets and bedding. Well, I was so excited about my Maytag Bravos XL Washer but my excitement didnt last long. 4. There is a major design flaw in this machine. I have given it plenty of time and have tried to talk myself to liking it but when you have to wash the white loads at least 3 times to get them clean and still not getting the results expected then its time to admit to yourself that I made a mistake.The large capacity drum is an irrelevant because once the clothes are wet they become too heavy for the drum base to actually agitate the clothes. What ends up actually happening is your wet clothes sit in a pile. The user tends to scale the loads back to help the machine. The above problem is partly due to the fact that the machine NEVER fills up the drum with enough water to submerge the clothes where perhaps they would be able to move freely with the base agitator and the drum rotating. This model was marketed as water conserving however we find ourselves washing loads 2-4 times to achieve the desired outcome. Conserving water at this point is a joke... we end up using more water and energy to get a load of clothes clean.Bleach dispenser does not empty completely during the white cycle even when less than recommended measurements are used. If a load of whites needs to be washed we have to wash with bleach on the 1st go, and then 2 more cycles without bleach. Otherwise anything washed after the whites gets spots of bleach on them. For these and many more reasons this machine should NOT be on the market and especially not for over $800 USD! And I would not want this product to represent US production. It does not deliver on any of its selling points and is overpriced.

We purchased the washing machine (MVWB400VQO) on July 9, 2009. Now we must buy a new washing machine as this one is apparently beyond repair, or else the repair costs will far exceed what it would cost to purchase a new machine. We are completely disgusted with its failure, as we paid $822.36, with the delivery fee and the tax. We expected that this machine would last for years, but here we are, 42 months later, having to again invest in a washer. Now that we have a computer and are able to browse your performance reports, we wish we had been able to read them before, in which case we never ever would have bought it at all.Yesterday it spewed water all over our basement, flooding things that should not get wet, providing an atmosphere for encouragement of mold and rust. The motor is gone as the housing is cracked, which was caused by debris getting into it, something that we could not have known or prevented. This is very poor design by your company, in our opinion. We called some repairmen, all useless as apparently the whole machine would have had to be completely dismantled at a rate of $84.00 per hour, and he could not tell us how many hours that would take, to say nothing of finding a new motor for the thing.We will never again buy a Maytag product as they are expensive with a too-short shelf life and there’s nobody who cares when you need help for something that should not have happened at all. I understand Maytag is really not the good old dependable Maytag we used to know and love at all, but rather is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, whose products we will never purchase either.I know why that lovable old Maytag repairman we used to see on TV is retired. Its because he could no longer stand the quality (or lack thereof) of the appliances that you are now producing. He is probably home, hiding his head somewhere and hoping nobody will recognize him. We purchased a Maytag dishwasher, Model #MDB7749, in the belief that it was a quality product. Many initial reviews were positive. Unfortunately, that decision was a mistake. The washer is only three years old and the control panel has failed. We are unable to select wash cycles. It defaults to Auto Clean/Heated Dry only. The washer has been lightly used.An online search found numerous complaints for control panel problems with this Maytag dishwasher. Please check ConsumerAffairs, Amazon, or Maytags own Facebook (Maytag was forced to create the Facebook page in 2010 under a mandate from the Consumer Product Safety Commission after a recall of dishwashers for fire hazards) before making any decision to buy a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance. It would also be wise to purchase an extended warranty.Our Whirlpool clothes washer failed after 5 years (bearings + controls). We cant afford to replace a major appliance every three to five years. The estimated cost to repair the dishwasher is $300 - $400. Maytag/Whirlpool customer service is indifferent to helping its customers. Its disappointing to see a made in America company produce such poor quality products and not support them.

Stove does not heat evenly in oven. Electric burner cannot be turned down to low or simmer, then it will not cook at all. Other burner turned down to low does not stop bubbling and stays at a high temp. There is no consistency. I am extremely disappointed and curse at this stove every day. Model #MER7664XB. This is a horrible product. Do not buy one. In fact, do not buy any appliance made by Maytag. I purchased a Maytag Jetclean Plus Series MDB8959AWS brand new on 2/22/12 and had it installed. The machine stopped working not even three years later. The control panel does not light up at all. There are pages and pages of complaints on the Internet about this dishwasher and Maytag. There is a class action lawsuit against Maytag in California for faulty control panels. Maytag needs to be taken to court to be held financially accountable for making false claims and selling defective products. I will never, ever again buy any product made by Maytag.

I agree with everyone one else and their experience with these washers. I took advantage of a credit for those replacing old washers with new HE washers. IF I COULD ONLY GET MY OLD WASHER BACK!!! Its only 2 years old and it sounds like - what others have said, like a B52 taking off (during the spin cycle). I dont have rust spots inside of the machine or out so Im not sure what the issue is but I really dont want to invest in a couple hundred of dollars to this thing. It stinks, doesnt clean well and now this! VERY disappointed...VERY. As a single mom, the thought of finding money to replace something that is new just disgusts me! Nothing like the old washers that last for 18+ years. Nice Maytag I will never purchase another product of yours and will spread the word!

We bought this refrigerator in 1998 and it is still going strong. It has gotten a bit noisy over the years when defrosting, but it works great. It is not as fancy as the freezer over top, but it is large and so is the refrigerator.

New side by side, water inlet to ice always freezes. Had a service man out, said some tube needed to be enlarged but still freezes up.The ice dispenser is total junk. Keeps spitting out ice after glass is removed and just a poor design. Dont recommend this brand.

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. Besides the fact that it barely agitates or turns over the clothes even on deep fill (which we need every time otherwise a whole HE cycle goes and the top clothes remain DRY), the oh-so-fancy power button stopped working at less than 2 yo! And guess what, because it is not a button or knob, but control panel sensor button you hover over to turn on, the fix is to replace the $400 little control panel box. On a $600 terrible washing machine! We trashed it and bought something else without a faulty button system. Very unhappy. Do not buy this.

I purchased a Maytag Washer & Dryer Bravos XL in 2013, the washer is already in the junk yard, the drive system failed, the bearings failed and it began to leak. The dryer had a main control board failed, I was able to purchase a new one and replace it myself. The board was made in China, the machines were assembled in Mexico. I replaced the washer with a heavy duty Speed Queen washer made in the USA!

I have owned this Maytag washer model # MVWC360AW0 since Dec/2013. I do not have a single complaint about this machine. It has worked flawlessly for 5 years and am very happy with it. I just follow common sense maintenance like cleaning it once every month (do a full cycle with just borax & baking soda 1/2 cup each) no clothes of course. Another thing I do is to leave it open after I am done washing so it dries completely before I close the lid. The washer looks and works like new, cant be happier...

Have had Maytag HE washer for 4yrs, so far it has broke down three times. I contacted Maytag and they asked if I had bought extended service contract? No I paid $700.00 for this washer and had expected it to work a little longer than 2yrs before seal in door is cracked. Would NEVER buy another HE or Maytag product again!

I bought a new refrigerator and when I plugged it in would not cool. I called and the authorized tech came and said the compressor was bad and the evaporator was rusted and hoses were greased up. I have now been informed that the warranty was void because it was put in a dental office and not a single home. I said since it was never used I would put it in a house. They said it was void and I was out of luck. I always thought maytag sold good products but this has convinced me to never buy a product from them again. It never worked and the tech said it should be replaced but they said he should never had told us this.

The Maytag Neptune FAV6800AWW Washer has to be the crappiest product I have ever bought. I bought it brand new and hardly ever used it. The first time it broke it was luckily under warranty, although we had to pay for the repair man to install it. It took two new circuit boards before it was fixed. A few months later, the circuit board went again, and it was conveniently for Maytag now out of warranty. The repair man told us that their company never carried these washers because from the get go they had a ton of problems. He said that the odds of it breaking again were great and that we would be better off putting the money into a new washer.I dont understand how the company, in good conscience, could continue to sell a product to consumers that they knew was faulty. It was not a cheap washer and I have never been so disappointed in my life. You would think they would have had a mass recall or, knowing how many problems consumers were having with the product, offer so much money towards a new one.I laugh at the commercials where the Maytag man was bored because their product never broke I could have kept that man busy for months!

Purchased my 1st brand new washing machine almost 3 years ago, a Maytag Centennial Washer for a little more than $600.00. Now it needs over $400.00 worth of repairs to get it working. Theres a reason the Maytag repair guy has nothing to do. Its because their products cant be repaired and are disposable. 25 years ago we bought our first washing machine that was used. It lasted for 22 years before it died. Maytag cant make a product that can last for 3. Also got stuck with a $65.00 service fee for them to tell me its broke and not worth fixing. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of their products.

Refrigerator 1F122269VEM7 not making ice, shelves broke, freezer drawers stuck, and motor running like an automobile. Refrigerator only 2 years old. Paid 4000 dollars and this is not acceptable. First let me say I have used Maytag products for 46 years. A little over a year ago bought a new Maytag Centennial Washer (Model MVWC555DW) for a cousin which was responsible to looking after as he had been brain damaged since birth. Needless to say when I started having trouble with clothes not washing and having to bring to my home and wash was not satisfactory. This machine never worked right but until after the 1 year warranty could get by. Needless to say I will never buy another Maytag appliance but now have a Maytag washer/dryer, stove and dishwasher in my home. Maytag is Not the quality that is use to be. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE AND ALSO UNDERSTAND FROM LOWES THEY HAVE HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THIS MODEL.

It's mounted above the stove, ten years old and still looks & operates like brand new. Have never had a problem with it and it's used almost daily. From heating up food to making dinner & popcorn. This is the longest lasting microwave I've ever purchased. Maytag made a great product.

Last August I bought the Maytag Bravos XL. I have had 3 repairmen try to fix my problems with it and they cannot. The problem is, they cant fix an appliance that isnt designed correctly! Without water, one cannot wash. Dont be mislead that the huge area inside can be used for large objects like sheets and comforters. This machine is MUCH harder on my sheets and comforters than my old machine with a center agitator. I have shredded rugs, holes in sheets, black lines on clothes and a chlorine dispenser that puts spots on everything. The detergent dispenser hardware is rusted as well. Folks if this machine was an automobile, IT WOULD BE RECALLED!

I purchased my Maytag gas range (model number mGR7665WB) on Thanksgiving 2011! It worked fine until May 2012. Then the bake function just stopped working. If I select bake, the temperature fails to rise above 100F and a sickening gas smell fills the kitchen! PC Richards, where I purchased the product from, sent a repairman who took two weeks and two visits to fix the part! Everything was working fine until six months later during cooking for a full house on the day of my daughters birthday party. Same problem, bake function failed again along with gas smell! I was pregnant at the time and very worried about the gas smell! We had to leave the house a few days after that due to the hurricane and when I returned, everything worked great for a few weeks only to fail on Christmas Eve leaving me to cook the meat for our Christmas Day dinner in a neighbors house, highly embarrassing and inconvenient! Now Maytag and PC Richards are only able to repair at a high cost to me which I cant afford and feel I shouldnt be responsible for as this product has been consistently unreliable and possibly dangerous. I am especially concerned about the gas smell as I have a newborn and a 3-year old in our small apartment!

We were offered a Maytag microwave with our newly built home two years ago. I do not know if it was a good value for the money compared to other brands as I did not price or feature shop for this oven. But the oven has worked well since we moved in.

This range and oven get unsafe, very hot on the surface and sides. Also, first time we used the oven, our oven mitts and bbq tools caught fire in the storage drawer.

Replaced a Maytag Bravos xl washer and dryer in 2015. First year was fine but almost right after the warranty period, the spinning cycle was loud. You cant even have a conversation near the washer. I put up with it after calling the repair department. Because I was told that it will cost as much to repair than buy a new washer. Now the washer does not drain when a small amount of cloth are in the washer. Dont buy this washer and dryer. Maytag is not as good as it once claim.

I purchased this dishwasher from Sears in July of 2013. Barely 3 years ago. The last few months the controls have been acting odd. The control lock would automatically just turn on at odd times. Yesterday when I hit normal cycle it went to a different cycle and had many other options lit. It would not start. Finally it went dark, no lights, no nothing. I see many people have had these types of issues with this type of Maytag dishwasher. Disappointing. A dishwasher should last longer than 3 years. Sears said they would send a repairman out but it would have been minimum $200 after it was all said and done. Id rather own a non-Maytag dishwasher so we went and bought a different brand.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

I bought this machine at Lowes because of the BIG drum area and about 2 years ago, it started to make funny noises; then I got the F-51 signal. I tried everything, shifting articles of clothing, then unplugging the machine and re-plugging. I am in the process of researching a plain Jane model, not one with all the bells and whistles. I am extremely dissatisfied and wish Maytag would step up to the plate and recall these machines. A motherboard and the costs for other parts, I would be better off replacing with a brand new machine. Dissatisfied!!!

Bravos gas dryer - three issues in three years. Same issue twice, clothes are not drying. Now I have company coming and have to deal with his issue. The blower motor went. So, I have paid for a new dryer in repairs already. The washer is making such a loud noise when it goes into spin cycle that you have to turn the volume up to the highest level on the TV and it is still tough to hear. It’s unbelievably in the horrible quality. Make the product and parts in the USA and stop buying junk from China and Mexico. This is good American money that is flushed down the toilet with Maytag as well as your reputation. Fix your quality control and do the right thing!

Washer Leaks, dryer noisy, cant balance washer, dry settings make little economical savings. Washer repair list, balance adjustment, filter body, door latch, door casket. Dryer lint basket felt repair. Door sensor, overall un-dependable.

Bought brand new. No deal, not on sale, not a return. Just heres money... give me working washer. This thing doesnt wash anything. It leaves soap all over the clothes. When you turn it on and wait til it starts washing, look in there with the lid open... theres barely any water! The clothes on top stay dry! The only way to wash your clothes in it is to add three-3 gallon buckets of water at the start of each STAGE of EACH cycle! My wife showed me after three months of washing clothes like this. Anyway, to the garbage with this and back to Whirlpool basics with me.

Loading is easy, operation is extremely quiet, dishes are very clean even on normal auto wash cycle. White, integrated depress buttons, full size, removable utensil baskets, upper and lower racks, top rack is manually adjustable, stainless steel tub. White front which is what we want not the ugly old metal stainless steel, usage buttons are on the upward facing edge of the door, pull down handle is nice size and very sturdy. Model is MDB8959SBW3. Even on normal auto wash cycle dishes are clean without much pre-rinsing. Purchased 10/14 from local dealer and professionally installed. So far we love it.

Maytag Dryer MED6000XR2 - Purchased in Sept. 2012 - first service call 1/13/14; 2nd service call 2/20/2015 and less than one month on 3/14/15 it goes out again. It takes one week to get service company out and then another week for the part to be ordered and put in. This means I am without a dryer for over 2 weeks. An $1,100 dryer goes out every year and sometimes within one month?! According to the service company, it just is the way this dryer works. Really? If Maytag ever wants my business again, I better get a more justified reason and better than 2 weeks service call. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I did not purchase it. This range came with my home. The electric range works great. It is thorough and I dont have to worry about the gas being on and filling the house up. Electric may not be for everyone, but it is the way to go for me. I will look for similar if not the exact same make/model if a replacement is necessary. I dont mind spending a little extra to ensure the product will last. So many products dont last nowadays and it is sad. I am not an avid cooker, actually I tend to mess up a lot of food recipes but the electric range helps me to reduce the number of problems I run across with the durability and accountability of the product. It cooks throughout the entire dish/pan and I have never had a problem with the unit working properly, just the user not working properly. Haha.

Unbeknownst to us, our Maytag Refrigerators (MFD2561KES) ice maker developed a problem with the fill hose which connects to the back of the refrigerator, causing it to pop off. The hose had been leaking water onto our wood floor causing all of the boards under the refrigerator and 6 feet in front to buckle. I cannot see why Maytag did not use a compression fitting instead of using a squeeze type hose clamp. Plus the ice maker has left a large sheet inside the freezer on the bottom. I use the ice maker daily to fill my cooler for work.We also have a Maytag Dishwasher which has a push button panel in front which has decided to give out as well. Not to mention our Maytag Double Oven which has never been able to close properly since we have had it. (The service man said that there is nothing wrong with it). We bought our house 7 years ago and my wife wanted nothing but Maytag because of our experience in the past. I gave up buying american automobiles years ago and I guess the same will happen when I replace these appliances (after I finish paying for my new floor).

Was assured the washer could do comforters, etc. Well, I took a video of the washer doing 5 t-shirt, 1 pair of pants, and 3 pairs of socks on the power wash cycle. Nothing tumbled. All the plate did was swish some water around on the bottom. Clothes werent clean at all. Check my Youtube video, and you can watch the leg of the pair of pants sticking up out of the water and never getting back down in to get wet. Horrible horrible machine. With that said, called the company I bought it from, and they arranged for a front loader since Id only had the machine for a couple hours. Stuck me for a second delivery fee though, which I wasnt happy about. Well see when the new one gets here Tuesday.

I give the product lowest and poor rating. The bearing in our washer went bad 4 months after we bought it. For the fourth time, they are coming out to repair the washer on 01/11/2012.

I purchased my Bravos washer and dryer in Sept. 2010. What a mistake! The dryer is okay but the washer is a nightmare! The repairman and I are on a first name basis. The last time he was here, he showed me how to recalibrate my washing machine. It stops working in the wash cycle, fills with water and then sits there. I have to manually drain it and start over. Then it gets confused and fills with water when it is supposed to be spinning and draining (consequently draining my well). I shouldnt have to recalibrate anything in life, much less, a brand new washing machine.

I had a Maytag dishwasher for 17 years, and it has still worked fine when we moved to another state. At the end of 2010, I bought a new Maytag (1) because my old one performed so well and (2) we left it at our old house. Well, slightly over two years later, this piece of junk (Model MDB6709AWAQ1) needs almost $300 worth of repairs. The repairman said they are no longer made to last and have been that way since about the year 2000. All of the inner workings are run by electronics which only last about two years. I said, What happened; the Maytag repairman got tired of sitting around doing nothing? I would never ever purchase another Maytag dishwasher, or any other appliance made by them or Whirlpool which took over Maytag.

We bought this Maytag washer 3 mo. ago and now need work done on it. We were told that they could not find anyone willing to come work in this area. We live in the Mississippi Delta, 30 miles so. of Greenville, 50 miles no. of Vicksburg or 90 miles from Jackson. So I guess the Maytag repairman is not just lonely anymore, he doesnt exist.

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

Why is it when you wash dark clothes they come out with white spots which looks like soap. I have put very little soap and it still appears. I usually wash in cold water so I tried warm water - same result. I have had a Maytag for a least 40 years never had this problem - what is it I am doing wrong? I have to wash and rinse at least 2 more times. I would appreciate a answer so I can fix this.

Bought the xl about 14 months ago. NO LIE! Exactly 2 days after the 1-year warranty was up, the xl went down. Drive shaft and bearings. Did Maytag honor the warranty since it was only 48 hours past the expiration? Not just a no but a why are you bothering attitude. My brother and I are above average machine builders. Well fix it ourselves because we could buy a new one to have it repaired. After many hours scouring the web we found the parts. Maytag didnt make a repair kit available to the public. 7 hours plus over $200 to tear it down and to clean the muck trapped at the drain. Then sand-smooth the burnt on metal where the bearings sit. All for a washing machine that sucks at washing clothes in the first place. Never ever again will I buy a Maytag.

Nice refrigerator, but cheaply made. I paid 1800 with tax for my french door Maytag and expected higher durability. It operates well but one worries about breaking drawers made of such thin plastic.

We purchased a high capacity washer (MVWB835DW), along with the matching dryer, two years ago from Lowes. This review is not about Lowes. They did the best they could to make things right. The review is about the Maytag washer (made and serviced by WhirIpool). It has been nothing short of a debacle. The first two washers did not work and had to be replaced. The third and current washer has been repaired three times, including the drum and motor. We have been without the use of the washer for over a week each time while waiting for parts and Whirlpool to approve the repair. The washer is not high capacity as advertised. Filling the drum even half way results in the washer stopping mid cycle whereupon we have to adjust the contents back into balance. In addition, the machine leaves a lint residue on dark clothing that has to be wiped off by hand. We have asked Maytag/Whirlpool to replace the machine but they say it has to fail for the same issue four times in order to qualify for replacement. We are done and will purchase another washer from a different manufacturer. It’s easy to understand why Samsung and LG have become such a dominate force in the laundry sector. Whirlpool/Maytag does not care about you or the problems with their product. Buyer beware!

Pump motor went out after two years and all Maytag would do was a small discount on cheaper model. We paid over $800 for the dishwasher and to fix it was over $500 plus the 5 minute service call of over $100. Very poor customer service and a lemon of a dishwasher. Now we have a GE.

My wife and I bought the Maytag commercial Bravo set about 5 years ago and both the clothes washing and dryer machines are still working as great as the day we bought them. Im a bit biased though as I bought Maytag commercial products in the past and will continue to do so because its they are a dependable company made a reliable machines.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator two years ago with the front french doors and bottom pull out drawer. We chose Maytag because we thought it was a name we could trust, a good quality merchandise. However, in the last two months, we started having problems when the fridge wouldnt stay cold, the freezer worked fine. We removed everything from the freezer and my husband found the freezer needed defrosting as the back of the unit was a solid sheet of ice. It took hours to defrost and we thought that we had the problem taken care of.. and that we wouldnt have to worry about this happening again. However, we have now had to do this three times in the last two months!! I love the style of this fridge..but am getting SO ANNOYED with having to rip everything out of the freezer and spending HOURS to defrost it! I have NEVER had this problem with any other fridge!! Im ready to replace it, but weve only had it for two years, and I shouldnt have to be spending a fortune on ANOTHER fridge after TWO years!!

I wrote earlier about my dishwasher needing to have an electronic board replaced again. So I called the helpful (I say that with sarcasm in my voice) 800 number. My dealer asked me to call for help with paying for the new part. After an hour and a half of being cut off and put on hold, I finally got through to a person that could take my request. The gentleman explained to me about why they would not stand behind their product which was only 3 1/2 years old, and a replacement part that lasted only 11 months. He expanded on his thought about how it was too old to fix and the part was more than 90 days old. I am out of my $1,100.00 with no help in sight. Totally upset with this company and how they will not stand behind a poorly made product!!!!

I purchased this gas range from Home Depot in 2011. From the beginning I had problems with the cooking racks slipping off the oven wall. In some instances hot liquids poured on the oven floor. I had bought a service contract on this product and when I asked that this be repaired I was told that it was not covered as it was a design flaw. The condition has slowly worsened and now I cannot cook anything in the oven for fear of the racks falling down. This is a safety feature and the oven should be replaced my Maytag.

Bought Maytag dishwasher 2007 at Lowes. Model mdbtt60aww-37837606ll manufactured in Benton harbor, Michigan. First got a recall that something was faulty, could cause fire, needed replacement. Took 2/3 weeks to get repaired. So couldnt use. Never quite cleaned good - many times had to rewash silverware, glasses. Never took off food unless very well rinsed. Today the control panel went. Called a local repair he said, Dont even fix. Toss and get a new one because its too costly to repair. I asked what should I get. He said no GE, they are getting out of appliances, no Samsung. Hes got whirlpool so guess Ill give that a try. In the past Ive had dishwashers 20 years, appliances 20 years. This junk lasts a year or two. Plastic cracks. None of these appliances are great anymore. Doesnt matter who you buy. Someone needs to get some quality control on what these companies are peddling .

I bought a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer two years ago. A week after the one year warranty was up, my dryer broke. That was in October. It took me until February to get it fixed, but within two months it broke again. It has taken me until now to get it fixed again and they found the same problem; the thermal fuse blew. Both times it has cost me over $100 to get fixed, but I still cant use every part of the top panel; I can only use timed dry cycle. I’m expecting the dryer to go again. The repair man had to re-glue the seal that went around the drum. The vents were all clean and were blowing fine, so we’re not sure why this keeps happening. Our family have always owned Maytags and they have always lasted for 20+ years. I am so disappointed with Maytag at this point and will never buy another again. Go back to the old days, Maytag! By the way, has anyone noticed they dont run the Maytag commercials anymore, because I have!

I purchased a Maytag Top Loader Washer MVWX500XL last May 2011 from Home Depot to replaced our 15-year old GE washing machine. Two weeks ago, it started making horrible noise like a jet engine taking off during spin cycle. I called in the Maytag repairman and was told that the bearing is gone and it will cost $ 493.00 to repair it. He claims that the damage is caused by not using HE detergent exclusively and he refused to leave us a written estimate. We are only three adults in our household and we do our laundry once or twice a week. For this machine to be repaired only after 2 1/2 years of light service and for almost the same cost as a new one, I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool products ever again and I will encourage everyone the same.

My husband and I are retired. In 2006, we purchased a Maytag stove, refrigerator and dishwasher thinking we bought the best. Since purchase, we have had repairs on all 3 appliances costing us over $1000. We are installing our 4th electronic control touchpad replacement today at a cost of $250.00 each. We had a new oven electronic ignitor replaced on the same stove. The compressor on the refrigerator had to be replaced! The drawer mechanism on the dishwasher had to be replaced. We will never recommend or purchase your products ever again!

Yesterday, the main compartment of the refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer still is working. This unit is 2.5 years old! I have never bought an extended warranty before, but on day one, this unit hardly ever shut off. It didnt seem like the electric bill was any higher but never felt good about the unit. Plus, I hated the ice cubes all over the floor when I pulled out the lower drawer. The monitoring device is in the roof of the fridge and takes up a lot of square footage. Nope, will never buy another Maytag. If their products cant last more the at least eight years, then it is such a waste of our money. Do better! Im writing Consumer Report and the President of the company. Who replaces all the food loss?

Would give them 0 Stars if that was an option. Bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Aug 2021. Washer broke Jan 6 2022. Called Maytag/Whirlpool on Jan 6 as it was still under warranty. They only had one service company in our area to work on the washer. I called them and it took them 10 days to come see what is wrong. Ordered parts. Said it would be 2 weeks. We are now 6 weeks into this with no parts. Called customer service and they said they were notified that their service company needed a part and would take another 21 days to resolve. Talked to a supervisor (Demetrius) who sounded like he did NOT want to be in that position. Offered no solution other than we will just have to wait. Threw a 3 month extension for the warranty on which still does not fix the problem. Sad to see this company go down the tubes as it was once a pretty decent business with solid products. No longer.

Purchased this Maytag dishwasher (Model DB7749SBM2) from a Sears 2014, no problems until now in late June 2014. The control panel is not responding. Start/Resume light is off, pressing it doesnt seem to do anything. Cancel light is off, pressing it does trigger the cancel drain process. Wash Cycle choices either dont respond, or for 2 of the choices engage an incorrect cycle. Option choices dont respond. Delay light comes on when an incorrect cycle choice displays but stays at 2 hours, cannot be toggled off or to a different delay length. Holding Control Lock or Delay for 3 seconds doesnt seem to clear the circuit board logic. Problem began with the Cycle choice buttons defaulting to Rinse Only. Control panel behaves not at all or incorrectly as described above. Seems to be a common Maytag control board/panel problem. We need help as we are unable to afford repair or another dishwasher. This time, it will not run at all. I called customer service today (August 11, 2015) and they expect me to pay for the repair. Repairman already said electronic board bad at a cost of around $300 just for the parts. It is easy to Google and find multiple review sites that indicate hundreds of consumers have similar problems, but Maytag will not acknowledge any issue. Based on the pattern the warranty is not going to help as it goes out just after a year. For only having it 1 1/2 years it is becoming very expensive. There should be a recall on this control panel.

I have a Maytag purchased about a year ago. My old Maytag lasted 16 years. The salesman told us that they are now built to last 8 years. It’s pretty noisy, so much so that I have to close the door to the utility room. I guess it gets the clothes clean but it used very little water. Fortunately my model has an agitator but nothing like the old kind. After looking at many models, I feel this was the best choice for the value. It is top loading which I like.

Although we have always had Maytags, this was the first time we purchased a front load washer. The Maytag Neptune washer smells and your clothes stink. We have purchased the most expensive laundry products, washed and rewashed clothes and have no other recourse but to buy new machines again. We will not be purchasing Maytag or Whirlpool. I would give it a minus 5 stars.

I will NEVER get another Maytag product ever again! My not even 1 year old washer broke and I have been waiting almost 2 1/2 months for a part to be replaced. My partner and I are nurses working on the front lines during this COVID pandemic and I can’t even wash my scrubs at my own house but instead I have to go to a damn washateria. The “supervisor” told me 2 weeks ago that if the part is not in by today, 1/27/21, that a brand new washer will be sent to me. Well I call today and the people I spoke to denied any recollection of this information. The “supervisor” stated that she is “documenting all of the information” so when I called back I would not have a problem. Once again I have been lied to and wasting my breath and time. The customer service has been TERRIBLE and I cannot believe that this was once a “reliable” brand! Clearly this brand is unreliable and the personnel is also unreliable. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A MAYTAG! Save your money and buy a different brand!

My husband and I bought a set of Maytag appliance 12/2011 the washer squeaks real bad on spin cycle and now today the dryer started making real real bad squeak sounds to the point I can not use it!!! My appliances are only 4 years old!!! And we wash clothes once a week for just my husband and I. I would not recommend buying any Maytag appliances!!! They are supposed to be the best but are not worth **!!! And I called Maytag, they are not willing to help. Bad service!!!

Was so excited to get this machine so that I could wash larger loads, including blankets, but unfortunately the machine didnt really clean as expected. That was very frustrating, but even more upsetting was when it began to sound like a jet engine when in the spin cycle. In researching this online, we have discovered that it is probably the bearings. When we called for service from the local store where we purchased the washer and dryer, we were told that it will likely cost at least $600 to repair. We have looked online to see if it is something that we can do ourselves, but really dont want to attempt this as it will require some heavy lifting and a lot of time. I am amazed that a machine like this would fail in such a short period of time and would like to add my name to the list of people who will not buy Maytag again! If a class action suit is ever filed against Maytag for this poor excuse for a washer, count me in, but unfortunately I will probably need to buy a new one before much longer.

Thats right. We bought it in September 2010, and it worked fine for two years. This week, our Maytag (Model: MDB7609AWW2) simply stopped turning on. The appliance repair guy pointed out that Maytag has a horrible record which the new owners (Whirlpool) do not seem to be concerned with because even though they know these electronics are dying very quickly, the replacement parts are exactly the same (unchanged). The cost to replace the suspected failed parts is somewhere around $250. The repair guy just said, I can do it, but its going to break again. His suggestion is to shop for the cheapest dishwasher out there since even the most expensive ones fail so quickly. This particular model has a huge amount of the same complaints.

Maytag washer leaves clothes more wrinkled after a wash than they were in before being cleaned. And these are not full laundry loads. Then using the Maytag dryer is a joke. Need to run double times or extended times on most of the settings to get them completely dry. When it comes to the wrinkle free setting... what a joke. Clothes might be close to dry but wrinkled. Have always had Maytag products since forever. Tried Samsung for the last set-----washer lasted 6 years and then needed a full overhaul. Cheaper to buy a new set. Went back to Maytag. MISTAKE. Samsung did a lot better job of washing and drying. Now stuck with Maytag until... when? Retired and dont have the funds to get new replacements. Just my opinion though.

I purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer 3-4 years ago, upgraded to the premium washer and dryer, SS drums and have been dissatisfied from the start. The washer was extremely noisy; we were told this was normal. The dryer began making strange noises just outside the warranty period, and the belt and pulley had to be replaced. I was shocked at the cheapness of the pulley design, but the replacement part was of better quality. The washer began making a horrendous squeak shortly afterwards, again, outside the warranty period. The repairman said that they were all like that, Maytag used inferior transmissions and that it would be cheaper to replace the washer than repairing it. My mother had the same experience with a similar model. Needless to say, I will never purchase another Maytag product. FYI, there are only three people in our household, all adults, light duty use.

Maytag dishwasher does not clean dishes. It has hot water and we have had a repairman look at it and he said water jets working. We have to wash all our dishes by hand before loading them into the dishwasher to sanitize.

Wish I had reviewed Consumer Affairs reports. When our old Maytag stove required repairs we decided to upgrade old stove instead of putting money into old unit. Looks like a huge mistake. Not only was there a delay in receiving unit after placing order but oven will not preheat. Two weeks before Thanksgiving we were promised a working unit. Now we are only 2 days from Thanksgiving, 2 repair companies have been at home to repair. Requires new circuit board and a new regulator to repair and no promise we can obtain parts. Now I have to figure out how to feed my family for holiday. I am pretty well done and after reading other reports that they are better in junkyard I think I will try to make them take back this defective Model 8800 product. Sitting in our kitchen unusable for the holidays. Dont buy Maytag as customer service does not exist.

The washer is very aggressive - it will tangle the clothes and actually tear them if they are thin. There is little control with the speed or water temperature or with the amount of water for a load of clothes.

This dishwasher is reliable and has NEVER had any repairs. It cleans fairly well, but I do wash off dishes before I put them in. The one complaint I have is sometimes the dishes smell funny after washing. I think it may be our water though. I also like that there is room for oversize dishes and glasses on some of the racks. Overall, I would buy it again.

I purchased my Bravos washer in 2011. Three days before the warranty was up, the motor went out. It was leaking oil and had to be replaced. Two days later it quit working again I had to have another repairman out and found that the gear shifter had popped off so he put it back on and charged us 85.00. Luckily my husband watched him repair it and knew what to do if it happened again, which it does just about every 2 or 3 loads so I have to pull it out and pop the ring back on. I waste more water than I save with this machine. I have to drain the water so I can move the machine out and start all over because they didnt wash, and that wastes more soap. I would get laundry done cleaner and faster if I beat it against a rock. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned and I will never buy a high efficiency washer or another Maytag again.

The new Maytag commercial brand is different than the traditional Maytags. Uses less water. The new technology in the variety of choices for cycles and the steam cleaning for the dryer is a great feature.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator (single-door) with a top-loading freezer that failed after four years. The freezer began to ice up and two repairmen from the company that does the extended warranty repairs in the Ottawa area were unable to figure out the problem. After the second visit, the freezer iced up again and the thermostat appeared to be failing. Even though we had an extended warranty, we just gave up and went to a different dealer to buy a new refrigerator that could be delivered within three days - and it wasnt a Maytag or any other of Whirlpools brands. If youre thinking of buying a Maytag refrigerator, you should reconsider. In fact, you should twice before buying anything made by Whirlpool.

Please Do NOT purchase the Maytag Aqua Lift Gas Range. It does not clean anything, you will pay more money for a cleaning oven that does not clean any grease or droppings if you cook. This is not an Oven for any one, or family that cooks large meals or has gatherings. I had the technicians at my house over 4 times and they confirmed that this oven is not a self cleaning oven. It doesnt get hot enough as your self cleaning ovens. And MAYTAG did not want to hear anything, basically not clean much, but advertised as a self cleaning oven. Having been a Maytag customer for years I will never buy a Maytag product again. And we need to support American made, but not when the consumer is misled.

Bought the washer last week. Balanced it per installation instructions. Washed several loads. The darn thing goes off balance almost routinely. Have rechecked the level on several occasions and found it LEVEL. Contacted Maytag. The lady I spoke with said to just use it and it will level itself out. So much for Maytag help! This will be the LAST Maytag product I buy.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. So now I am trying to figure out what I can do but afraid I am going to replace it. Would Not recommend this product. Bravos XL MCT MVWB835DW1.

I recently purchased a Maytag centennial washer and dryer from my local Home Depot. I set up a delivery date of 2/9/12. I was contacted on 2/6/12 by a Maytag staff telling me that my washer and dryer were on back-order until 2/29/12. This is unacceptable to me. Why does your company not tell its retailers that some items may be back ordered? I would have accepted this if told when I scheduled my original delivery, but being told days later and after taking the day off from work, is poor customer service to me. I am giving very serious consideration to voiding this order and finding a new company to deal with. I do not have the confidence that future issues will be shared or dealt with in a timely manner.

Whos up for a class action lawsuit against Maytag? I believe Maytag is making claims that are NOT true. I bought a new Maytag Bravos XL in Nov 2015. I asked the salesperson to point me to a deep water washing machine for Large loads. Salesperson sold me the Maytag Bravos XL MCT and made claims I would have 30% more water than the other washers. The sales pitch (according to Manufacture) is these smart machines have sensors that can detect how much water is needed. THIS IS NOT TRUE. My Maytag machine only gives me 1-2 inches of water on the normal and rinse cycles and maybe 4-5 inches on deep water cycle!!! Certainly not enough to cover clothes, towels or sheets. I immediately called Sears. Tech is basically being trained to tell consumers thats the way it is. This is the new future in washing machines. So, My recommendation - hire an attorney to get your money back!

I purchased a French Door, Bottom Freezer refrigerator in the summer of 2006. Less than 3 years later, the ice maker door kept opening and closing and the lights on the door panel kept flashing. I called Maytag and found out there was a problem with the circuit board, and that it was under recall. The refrigerator was fixed at no charge and I was happy. Approximately 2-1/2 months ago, less than 7 years after I bought the fridge, it started getting too cold inside and then too warm and then too cold, etc. Then it stopped cooling altogether. From what I read, it was either a problem with the compressor or the relay on the compressor. There was a recall on the relay on some models, but not on mine. I cant even afford a service call. Let alone a repair charge. If the compressor is the problem, Im looking at a repair bill in the hundreds of dollars. The online price for a compressor is over $300. I dont have the money. So the beautiful refrigerator that I paid $2,000 for sits in the kitchen, unplugged. I never figured that Id pay that kind of money for a refrigerator and have 2 major problems with it in less than 7 years. I just got off the phone with Maytag and, of course, they cant do anything to help me. I was hoping to never buy another refrigerator, but if I have to or if I have to buy any other appliance, I will never ever buy another Maytag or Whirlpool. I will post everywhere I can about my experiences with this refrigerator.

The machine does not rinse soap off clothes even after using 2nd rinse cycle. You have to wash clothes again using no soap at all. Defective machine maytag does not help or Clare wanted to charge service fee for tech even though machine is under warranty. This washer should be recalled. Very bad product. Lots of complaints.

My husband bought a washing machine in August 2019 and now it broke down a month ago. There is a sticker on it that the warranty is 10 years, but this warranty is for the motor and not for everything else. I read on the Internet what kind of error the machine gives me, it turned out to be either the motherboard or the front panel. I did not order the parts myself, called the service, in 5 minutes I had to pay 130 $ to he told me the same thing that I read in Google.... And he said that the repair would cost another 500$ part - 250$ and service fees to replace the front panel or the motherboard. Its ridiculous prices, so I find parts lil cheaper and ordered the motherboard myself, my husband installed it (there is nothing hard to do it) and the machine still gave the same error, I ordered the front panel for 220$ and the machine still gives the same error. Now front panel didnt respond at all, and this brand new panel... So I bet after I will pay to service they will tells me there is something else broken... Maytag??? NEVER AGAIN!So I send all part to the store, save money this way and now I buying a new one, when a year and a half ago I spent 1000$ on Maytag and the service is trying to rob me at the cost of a new machine, and no one gives me a guarantee after the service, I will not have a new one. The way out is possible to read more reviews and take a protective plan for 5 or more years so this is not your problem.

I bought a Maytag refrigerator, model MBF2258XEW, March 2013. Bottom freezer, single door. The past 3 or 4 weeks I have been noticing water occasionally puddling on the floor at the freezer. The ice maker has never been hooked up, with no problem before now. I recently noticed that my wood floor is darkening in a spot that often gets wet. After reading some of these complaints it appears I am not alone experiencing water problems with something that is sold on its reputation for being trouble-free. I also see that I should expect to pay a few hundred dollars out of my pocket to fix the problem. Very disappointing.

MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.

I related my problems with a Maytag Bravos Washer a few days ago. A year and a half after I purchased the washer, it would no longer spin, among other problems. I was persuaded to call a repairman who diagnosed faulty electronic components which would cost me nearly $400 to repair. He confirmed that the washer was poorly built and strongly advised that I replace it. So, after paying him only $25 for a service call (he felt sorry for me), I did some research and bought a top-load agitator washer because the old-fashioned machines actually do their job - they wash clothes! I was duped by the high-efficiency claims, low-water-usage of the Maytag which didnt wash that well when it did work.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, At first I was skeptical and I once thought that I was the only one whose wife complained about the terrible soap stains and un-rinsed clothes. And finally my rinse and spin cycle stopped spinning and rinsing! However, after reading several reviews and complaints about the famous Bravo X He washer by Maytag and taking into consideration that there are over 650 complaints, making mine # 651. I now find I have lost all skeptical-ability and feel that we all may be comrades in this venture of purchasing the new trademark of the trade-mark Maytag. As almost all of us say our previous experience with Maytag was great. My parents had a Maytag since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and we were a family of eight. First we had the one with the rubber rollers, that was a work of mechanical genius. I even remember getting my arm caught in the rollers. Then my dad bought the spin dry model and that lasted a good 20 years. When I say the Bravo X at Sears it looked like the state of the art washer. However, and unfortunately I will have to agree with all of you. It is a piece of scrap metal and Maytag will not recall or recognize their mistake and make good on a recall or something. The least they should do is give us an old machine that does wash and spin to replace the new one that is less than 2 years old and does not work. I sure hope this letter does not fall on blind eyes. I purchased a Neptune washer/dryer front loader. All Neptune washers have basic design flaw over which the company should be sued. Since the bulk of the weight is in the front of the horizontal wash-drum, the entire assembly is suspended by a rear mounted bearing allowing the drum to spin. That bearing assembly is woefully under-designed and not able to support the unequally distributed weight that is inherent in any front load design.Since the forces of gravity cause a loading of the rear bearing on the front of the bearing raceway only, the machine is doomed to catastrophic failure of the entire drum system--and they all do this. When the washer goes into spin mode, it sounds like a jet engine taking off and that is a symptom of the bearing design beginning to fail which begins on the first use of the machine. The cost of the drum assembly/bearing and the labor is far more expensive than buying a new machine and therefore, not worth it. Avoid Maytag products at all costs.
