I had to rate at least a one star because there isn’t a negative to rate. We bought the Maytag mvwb955fc1. First off it doesn’t clean our clothes. I can not get stains out or whites bright. I don’t feel it uses enough water. I put a full load in and it only fills up less than half with water. I try half loads and still not clean. It’s always shutting off when I wash sheets. Indicating it’s off balance. Today I started it before work and the lid exploded. I don’t think I want to even replace it at all. This could have seriously hurt someone. Do not buy this washing machine. The dryer is great so far. I wish I could post a photo to show you all.

Had the new set for over a month now and are very impressed. If you actually know how to do laundry, and dont load it up to the top with greasy, dirt filled work clothes, etc. (like some **) you will have no problem lol. We have Absolutely nothing bad to say about Maytag products, and the new set is amazing!!!!

The paint (stainless steel) on the top panel surrounding the digital screen is deteriorating from the heat and steam from light cooking. This happened the first time I used one of the back burners for light simmering. I purchased the range in December 2011, but had not used the back burners because I dont cook large meals. The black paint on the range top is also easily scratched when moving the grates for cleaning. This product has defective paint and Maytag has NOT responded to my questions sent to them by email. I will never purchase another Maytag product NOR will I purchase appliances from HOME DEPOT again. Home Depot should not sell shoddy products!

We purchased this Maytag top load washer less than three years ago. Spin cycle stopped working and repair for new actuator motor is $240 (machine cost $500). I should have read Maytag’s reviews before we bought it (averaging about 2/5). Living on name - don’t buy one.

My Maytag 2000 has ripped our clothes. This is my 1st front loading set. I looked on the internet and it seems that this is a known problem. Very upset that a brand that I had for 30 years and recommended to others as well has turned into a terrible company. Im a single mom and Im not in a position to replace a washer every year. I trusted Maytag! A recall and either replacement of the parts, or delivery of new part to fix the problem should have been put in place. I wrote to Maytag to see if they will do something to fix this problem.I have the set, washer shakes a lot, but works well. Washer also always has a lot of water left on the door seals folds, terrible design... I will post on other sites to warn other customers. This is not OK, my clothes are destroyed. See pictures. Clothes got trapped in a gap that exists in the perimeter of the opening, where it meets the door. Why is there a gap at all???

We too were having a water leak from the French door freezer and a sheet of ice under the freezer drawer. The repairman came and told us that it was a common problem with the French Door fridge and an easy fix. Maytag has a new P type defrost hose that doesnt freeze up. He changed the part, $149.75 bill, and no more problem. Should Maytag have let consumers know this was a part that was failing? Yes, definitely. But at least the fix was reasonably cheap.

Maytag is supposed to be the best. I wanted a top loader again. This washer is almost worthless because of the water control. I have to add buckets of water before I start the washer. Otherwise the clothes are not clean. The cycles are strange with the amount of agitation. I will continue looking for an OLD model. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

I had bought Maytag Dishwasher MDBH979AWW3 in Sep. 2009. Oct 2011, the dishwasher stopped working and the control panel had to be replaced, few days later, it stopped working again and the Thermal fuse had to be replaced. Now two months later, it stopped working again. Till this point, Ive spent a lot of money on the repairs and I wish I had used that money to buy a new dishwasher. Looks like not just the Maytag dishwashers are faulty, but even the parts they have are faulty. I will not recommend any Maytag products to anyone.

I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... It suppose to save on your water and electric bill but no savings for me considering I have to wash items 2 or 3 times... I hate this washer and I paid a lot of money for nothing coz that’s what it does - nothing!!!

Maytag Bravos XL MVWB980BGO. To start, I live on an acreage so some problems may be related to being on well water. The most annoying part is the washer doesn’t have a drain & spin without rinse. So, when my well pump started acting up, I had no way to just drain & spin off the load, so I had to try to lift thoroughly soaked clothes and try to dry them...which took about four hours. Another aspect that is a pain is uneven loads. It keeps trying to fill, instead of just stopping & letting me adjust the load myself. Then the damn thing won’t reset. I often have to resort to unplugging the machine and starting over. High efficiency is a joke. I’ve had the machine about five years now and it goes low flow error, even though the flow is fine. I’ve tried running cleaners through the water line and it’s still doing the same thing. The only thing left to try is take the machine out and try and manually go through the lines. For the amount of money we spent on this machine, I am thoroughly disgusted with how it runs. It is the first & last Maytag washer that I will ever buy. Next time, I’m buying as cheap & basic a machine as I can buy. On the upside, the dryer works perfectly.

Maytag Oven MGR8670WS1 - Purchased in the Fall of 2011 (along with a fridge... also faulty the freezer stopped working within a year). Ive had the oven stop working twice (in 2012). This week (spring 2014) would be the third time. It seems to be a faulty ignitor already replaced having to be replaced yet again. I have never used such faulty appliances EVER and never AGAIN. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I purchased a new electric oven/stove, dishwasher and over the stove microwave. My dishwasher didn’t work from installation and it took Maytag over a month and half to repair. My oven door hasn’t worked properly since purchased and finally broke and I have been without an oven for two weeks waiting on repair. The customer service does not listen to you and seem to be completely unconcerned about your problem. I was told the item broken was a common stocked item and the repair would be quick but that was not true. The repairman told me they would have my parts in a week and would install them on a Monday. They have now scheduled my repair for Thursday. Over two weeks with no working oven. I will never purchase a Maytag appliance of any kind due to the terrible customer service.

Worst washer ever. My clothes I have to wash a few times before they all get wet. Not a good washer at all. Has all the bells and whistles. Lets me know when the washer is done or its unbalanced... my washer is crap. Ive had it maybe a year now. I now have to buy another one. Why? I purchased the most expensive stackable set available. After 3 years the Maytag Front Load Washer is dead. Wont turn on or receive electricity. It stopped in the middle of a cycle so I have an entire load locked inside. A repair person came out and confirmed $600-$1,400 to replace computer electronics. Right on the front of the machine, there is a shiny tag displaying 10-year Warranty. I live chatted with Maytag. Only the drum and some other ridiculous part is covered. She told me to call the 800 number to speak with a customer rep. After trying 2 times and being put on hold for over a half hour, I hung up. I WILL NEVER BUY A MAYTAG AGAIN!

Ive tried all manner of washing clothes, especially dark ones. Different cycles, different detergents and amounts, but it always leaves scum marks in folded places. I have to either brush off what I can, and/or rinse the clothing in a sink and then rewash the clothing without detergent. In an attempt to save water, I end up using two or three times the amount.

The oven range (model number mgr8772wb) will not heat to proper temperature. It runs 35 degrees cold even after the built-in adjustment of 30 degrees. the repairman said it was just a cold-natured oven and we had to get used to it. So if a recipe calls for 400 degrees, you must preheat to 430 degrees. As much as this thing cost, it should cook properly. I must rethink Maytags reputation. I thought they were the best. Wrong.

Bought Maytag Dishwasher in 2/2012. 10/2015 dishwasher stopped working. My husband tried to replace the motherboard, however, dishwasher completely done. Called Maytag and they said they would send a repair company at their expense, however, repair service called to verify appointment and told us how much it would cost us! Maytag had no intention of paying the bill even after they said they would. Called Maytag back and said the other customer service person was incorrect. Now, buying another dishwasher only after 3.5 years.

I purchased a Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer at Home Depot for over $900. Within months, the board went out. The repairman said that they didnt even know how to fix it yet - no training. The board was out again. This time, it was not under warranty. The repair costs $779 including part and labor. There were numerous other little problems along the way that we did repair, but now, forget it.

Bravos gas dryer - three issues in three years. Same issue twice, clothes are not drying. Now I have company coming and have to deal with his issue. The blower motor went. So, I have paid for a new dryer in repairs already. The washer is making such a loud noise when it goes into spin cycle that you have to turn the volume up to the highest level on the TV and it is still tough to hear. It’s unbelievably in the horrible quality. Make the product and parts in the USA and stop buying junk from China and Mexico. This is good American money that is flushed down the toilet with Maytag as well as your reputation. Fix your quality control and do the right thing!

Maytag Washer Model#MVWC465HW2, just purchased it 1/30/2019, leaves white stains on dark colored clothes. I use liquid soap. I don’t use softener nor bleach. I use OxiClean on my whites and sheet softener in the dryer. Someone please out there help, I can’t return it, it’s past 30 days. I have extended warranty but they can’t help. It’s not broken. I hear a lot of bad reviews/complaints, but no answer if it’s been solved or how to solve it. Please someone help???

Oven is not even 2 yrs old but, the bottom oven floor lining is crackled & flaking. Although they say the cavity is covered under the 10 yr warranty, they say its not covered. Basically told me theres nothing they can do for it. I bought all Maytag appliances for my new home because they claim they stand behind their product. The 10 yr plaques on the appliances are a joke. So disappoint.

I have had the fridge 3 years and 2/3 shelves have crumbled to pieces, the compressor has gone, the ice bucket crumbled, the ice maker stopped working, once ice maker was fixed it got stuck on crush, and now I am trying to order another shelf because it has also crumbled like the rest and this is in a household of 1 person! I am just getting the run around... I have been redirected to 3 different numbers now (800-344-1274, 866-368-6478, and 877-468-2371) and now I had a rude customer service rep so I asked if I could speak with someone else and I am now on eternal rot on hold. Pretty sure he didnt even transfer me and Im just sitting on hold on his line while he is laughing. Time to hang up and try again another day. #un**believableI was also told that if I purchased the extended warranty plan that it would cover the crappy shelves in the future so I did and now they are telling me it doesnt cover them and it only gives me a discount on them. MAYTAG YOU OWE ME A NEW FRIDGE... THIS ONE IS A LEMON! I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

This product is not worth the money or irritation. It does not wash your clothes well and now mine wont spin. I have to completely unplug the machine and start it up to drain and spin. It takes 1 1/2 to wash one load of clothes. Its supposed to be energy efficient. Im pretty sure its not! I waste more time and electric doing a load of clothes than it takes to dry a load of clothes. Im dumping this thing for a real washer, one that works. I do not recommend this washing machine. I purchased the Bravo at Lowes.

2 Year old washer. First the actuator was replaced. A 150.00 charge. Two months later the pump is shot. Another 200,00 to replace the pump. This is worst piece of ** washer I have owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Purchased a Maytag range with Aqualift technology in 2013 thinking it was a good brand and *happy* to find a new way to self-clean my oven. This turns out to be nothing but a joke and I am not *happy* with it. After following directions to the letter, there is some loosening of anything on the floor of the oven, but the sides and top are slowly being coated with more and more grease. Ive spent way too much time with my head in the oven trying to scrub stuff without using a heavy duty cleaner but feel I now need to resort to Easy Off as there is no other way to get it clean. I also dont understand why they tell you to remove the racks since there obviously isnt enough going on to even clean the oven... How would the racks be damaged? And now I believe there is a problem with the Dual Choice element where Im not able to turn the temperature down. Even turned back to the low setting, the pan cooks away like its on high. I have to keep turning it off and then back on in an attempt to find something similar to medium or low heat. Im so very disappointed in Maytag and feel this method of oven cleaning should never have been put on the market. Its a scam!

Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. They explained it should be filled only a quarter of the way. What??? Do not purchase this machine.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher less than a year ago and are very disappointed with the poorly designed quality of this product. We had a Maytag repairman look at our dishwasher and he told us that; the dishwasher cleans with enzymes in the dishwasher not water pressure, and we need to make sure the water in the kitchen faucet need to be hot before starting the dishwasher, we also need detergent, rinse aid, and citric acid added to each load. Adding all these products to the dishwasher does not fix a poorly designed product. This product does not clean the dishes, even with rinse aid the glasses come out cloudy. The dishwasher has a power blast button, it does not clean the dishes any better than the regular setting and it runs for four hours. We will never buy another Maytag product.

My Maytag dishwasher (MDB7749AWM) stopped working at only 15 months. I had a technician check it and he said its the control panel not responding after he opened the door panel. Its when I searched online for replacement part I learned about the defective control panel. So I decided to forgo repair and bought a new dishwasher. I feel the manufacturer should be held responsible and called the number found on the internet, 858-646-8500, about a class action lawsuit filed in California federal court. The lawyer handling the case called me back that day explaining to me its a long road before the case qualifies for class lawsuit. Because I live in Texas, he will need someone to represent Texas plaintiffs in order to include Texas in the national settlement down the road. I said, I dont expect anything but would like to see a class action. Since I have no use of the defective dishwasher, he asked if I am willing to send the machine to him at his expense. I said yes. For all of you complaining about the defective dishwasher, I suggest you to call the number to join the lawsuit. Even though we may not see a penny for long, long time, its the only way to punish the deceptive business.

Stove does not heat evenly in oven. Electric burner cannot be turned down to low or simmer, then it will not cook at all. Other burner turned down to low does not stop bubbling and stays at a high temp. There is no consistency. I am extremely disappointed and curse at this stove every day. Model #MER7664XB. You can not add water to the fill, blankets dont even get wet when you wash them, you can do double rinse but cant control the fill, have to sit there and lift the lid up and down for 20 minutes to get enough water in the machine! The washing machines have turned into absolute garbage! Wish I would have come here first, whats the difference if I control the load size water or IF I SELECT DOUBLE RINSE? THIS WASHER 200% GUARANTEED I WILL NEVER BUY A MAYTAG AGAIN. ABSOLUTE TRASH FOR $700.

I purchased Maytag microwave model MMV4205AAQ in 2005. I use it infrequently. It stopped heating in Nov. 2011. It must be replaced. But after this experience and reading other comments, I will not purchase any Maytag appliances in the future.

We purchased the Maytag over the range microwave December 2014. Three months after installing it the door cracked. Maytag did replace the door and the repairman thought it might be due to the heat from the stove (huh, it was designed to go over the stove, where there will be heat). Now, six months after that, the layers of plastic on the door are separating and the piece around the control panel is cracked. Maytag agreed to replace the control panel but refuse to replace the door as it is only cosmetic (their words). So much for paying a little extra for what we thought would be a quality product. It seems to me that if something was made to go over the stove, it should be made to withstand the heat.

I would like Maytag to repair or replace this dishwasher. It has only been installed since November 2014. The only button that works is the auto clean. None of the buttons work. I thought Maytag was a reputable business.

Maytag Washer was bought on May 2010 for $746.29 and it broke down. It was used only twice a week. It now requires repairs worth $991.36. All Maytag reps say is I am sorry, there is nothing we can do. Isnt there a lemon law for major appliances?

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer so many years ago that I have forgotten when it was. They have performed admirably under trying conditions. Our washer finally needs replacing due to the buildup of scale from our very hard well water. This after about 30 years of good service. Looking to replace them and will probably buy another Maytag set when they go on sale.

This was purchased 3/25/2010 with the Home Depot Service Contract thru 3/2015 . We have already had a service call in 2013. We were OK until January 2015. Now we join many other customers with the leaking defroster. We have taken all the steps of the other customers. We went and called for a service appointment. Weve spoken to Maytag Customer Service 800-253-1301. Ive asked if there was recall? NO! I asked if there was log made of my call, NO! Any work done had to with Maytag Authorized Repair Person. The Home Depot Contract use a Non-Authorized Service Person. Weve gone to Home Depot. We are in a catch 22! We have spent good money on this refrigerator. Out of sight, out of mind. We will go back to Home Depot Again!

I bought the matching Bravos washer and dryer 4 years ago. I always bought Kenmore appliances but decided, based on the then reviews, that I would upgrade to Maytag. Biggest mistake I have made! I am a very tolerant person always looking for the best in anything. But I have to say, I hate both the washer and dryer. My clothes are faded, they shrink in the dryer even on delicate. I really cant say anything good about them. Today I washed 2 twin sheets, one king top sheet, and one very thin blanket. When I opened the washer, one twin sheet was on top and not even wet. So now I get to run another load and have to wait to remake my bed. When I have washed rugs on bulky, they are filled with soap when finished. Half the time, it doesnt spin out the water and I run a second and third spin cycle on a variety of items. I avoid doing laundry because it is so frustrating. I am retired so I cant afford to replace them. I just dont want anyone else to suffer the same frustrations!

We had our kitchen redone by Home Depot in Sept. 2006. It was gutted and all was replaced: walls, heat windows, doors, lights, appliances. The Maytag refrigerator stopped working 7 years later. I feel an expensive appliance should last longer than that.

We purchased a Maytag MVWB765FW top load washer with agitator to replace a Whirlpool with premature gear case problems (less than 3 years old). Was partially sold by the attractive metal label that says 10 YEAR limited warranty. It is now less than 2 years old and the Maytag selected repairman just diagnosed a failing transmission and of course advised us this is not covered by the warranty. Cost to repair—$ 600. About as close to false advertising as I have seen.I can’t believe that this company would sell such crap and not stand behind their products! But after seeing all these other complaints I believe it now. I bought both washers from Nebraska Furniture Mart and I realize they only sell the appliances but I plan to inform them that if they continue to handle Whirlpool and Maytag products they will never sell another appliance to me or to anyone else I can influence to not buy from them. We as consumers are almost powerless against these manufacturers but if we can influence the stores we buy from, just maybe we will see some improvement.

I have had the set of Maytag Bravos for about 5 years now. In the 3rd year, the bearings went out. Just recently, leaking water pump. This washer easily eats clothing. I have to disassemble every so often just to get the missing socks etc. out. The only good thing, Maytag should be ashamed I know this, is that the machine is easy to fix. I imagine since they made it so cheaply. Really nothing to the machine.

I called Maytags customer service about an over the range microwave that was bought 2 years ago and barely used. The mechanism in the microwave on the latch for the door, clicked into the body of the unit and therefore the door does not register closed which doesnt allow it to come on. After explaining this issue to the customer service rep, she insisted that the only thing that Maytag would stand behind was the part if needed. A service call would be between $100 - $150. The microwave isnt even that old and why would Maytag not stand behind a like new unit? I bought 3 Maytag products and I am now regretting it. I had asked to speak to a supervisor and she just proceeded to repeat the same thing the sales rep did. They will only cover the cheap part if needed.What happened to Maytag being top of the line? Apparently they dont care about standing behind their products and would rather you buy an expensive extended warranty to cover their cheaply made appliance. I think they should be under review as a company. I would somewhat understand paying if my appliance was 5 to 10 years old. But its basically new. How is there no protection for customers when it comes to purchasing lemons from an appliance dealer? I will NEVER buy Maytag again and plan on selling my 2 other newly purchased appliances before they have issues. Maytags reviews on social media are terrible. All they offer are the words Im sorry and I understand your frustration. I assume thats just what they have written down in front of them to tell everyone who calls with issues. How do you not stand behind your products! I wish I could select no stars vs the 1.

My Bravos 300 series is 3yrs. Initially it occasionally shredded an item. With 4 kids I chalked it up to wear & tear on the clothes. Its now ruining items almost every wash. I now wash much by hand. Cant wait to afford a new one.

I purchased this washer in 2010. It has broken 4 times since purchase for the same reason. I was told by the appliance repairperson (which Maytag referred me to last time it broke on 03-11-11) that the manufacturer does not replace the machine until after it has broken down a 4th time. Now, the warranty has expired (in 09-11), and it has broken down again for the same problem - water wont fill. Sherry at call center informed me my machine does not qualify for replacement. Then, she would not give me a number or contact info for corporate office so I could forward my complaint. This machine is only slightly over a year old. I have had nothing but problems with it. I want a new machine, or at least unlimited repairs for the recurring problem. And I should not have to pay for a warranty that costs almost as much as the machine itself when Ive already paid for the machine, and at least an equal amount to the cost of the washer in repair bills just to keep this lemon on the road. I want a number and a name for someone that will listen. I may be part of the shrinking middle class, but I am a customer, and I should be treated right. Please help me.

Dishwasher is just 2 years old. Touch panel is bad, not Maytag of old. Waiting for the corporate apology. Seems to me that this is a common problem and a case of poor engineering. Also seems like a case of the middle American getting worked over by the big corporate giant. Not happy. Will not suggest Maytag to anyone. Not looking forward to having to replace something that should have lasted significantly longer.

Maytag top loader washing machine - Worst appliance purchase ever made. Does not clean laundry, takes all day to do 5 or 6 loads. Not enough water to properly wash or rinse load, even using the deep water setting (a joke). A load of 2 king size sheets and 4 pillow cases wadded up in a ball and rattled around so hard in the spin cycle, it pulled the plug out of the wall. Maytag sent out technician who conducted diagnostic testing, which did not include any actual laundry. Technician said machine was operating as intended and verified I was using the machine properly. I have tried to return this machine since the first load was done and realized it was a disaster. Maytag refused to help. In fact, their phone agent had the audacity to suggest I wash one sheet at a time to prevent the machine from moving across the floor so far the plug came out of the wall. Maytag surely is not what it used to be. Im sorry I did not know they, like so many other companies, dont care about their reputation or customer service, not to mention producing a quality product. I would say they are actually misleading their customers by calling this product a washing machine.

Bought a Maytag fridge model MFI2569YEM0 a few years ago. From the get-go, the ice machine would spit out ice hither and thither, mostly not into the cup or mug. Even when I held the cup up high into the dispenser orifice, I noticed it still spit out ice seconds after I released the cup, so ice cubes would spill onto the floor. Secondly, the vertical doors do not close well, and I must manually push them closed, especially the left door due to the poor design. (I noticed my neighbors more updated fridge has a better closing door. Forgot what brand, though.) Theres also rust forming on the front of the stainless steel fridge panel. It has penetrated through so I am unable to remove it.Lastly, this past week I walked into the kitchen stepping in a pool of water in front of the fridge. There was a sheet of ice accumulated on the bottom of the freezer. After some research, its likely the nipple in the back of the fridge that plugged up. I have yet to fix the problem, but so far, Maytag gets an F- in quality, and I will NEVER, EVER purchase any of their appliances again. I remember my parents washer dryer lasting 30+ years. Maytag, what happened???!!!

I have had this washer for a few years now and it is the WORST machine ever. It never gets clothes fully clean as air gets trapped in some items so they stick out above the water. The drum only fills about 1/4 of the way no matter what you are washing. It is always unleveling and you have to constantly re-arrange bed sheets and larger items. I have to first soak larger items before the wash cycle. Nice HE machine. When I purchased this machine the sales person said you can wash 10 bath towels. I read the directions which said make small piles of clothes and I called and told her that after I had purchased the machine. Her reply was oh, I didnt know that. Obviously. This top loader without the agitator cleans great if you only throw in about 10 thong underwear at a time or two pair of jeans.

Hate my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer. It takes well over an hour per load. Clothes come out very wrinkled, and my knits get holes very quickly. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. In fact, I warn people against it as I have been frustrated every single time Ive used it. Model # W10420382A.

I bought Tapan gas stove last year, but all your ranges have a problem. Whenever we clean the range, it never goes straight stay up ,even when I bought from Lowes Store and I told them they said that defect from manufacturer. You have to correct your manufacturers defect, I want an answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

After buying this dishwasher model MDB6759WWW3 in Jan. 2010, I fully expected it to work longer than it did! So far, the control panel has been replaced 5 times. The last time was Sept. 17, 2012 and already it is out again. I talked with Customer Service, since Georgia has a lemon law. After 4 times it is to be replaced.They had no record of the part that was replaced, just that a technician had come and repaired (by ordering the same part they had no knowledge of). This time they will either replace or instead of me calling, my lawyer will call. I will never buy another Maytag product and will encourage anyone else not to buy either. My daughter had the same experience with a refrigerator, a piece of junk they did nothing about. By the way, I have an extended warranty plan, which should not even be necessary!

I purchased the Maytag Bravo model MGDB950YG on April 22, 2012. It worked great for a while then stopped heating and drying the clothes. After going through the Maytag procedure, a repair person assessed the problem, had to order the part then came back to repair it. But the same thing just happened again! Both Maytag and HHGregg need to go through the appropriate procedures, which leaves me without a dryer for who knows how long this time. Maytag will not do next day service probably because it costs them a little more. I think Maytag should have enough common sense to sometimes make exception to this. Today is Thursday and I cant get an appointment until Monday! I have owned two dryers prior to this which each lasted 10 years plus. I would be much more understanding if I had my appliance for more than 4 months (out of commission 2-3 weeks of the 4 months). Ive never been so disappointed in an appliance!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher April 6th, 2011. Its only 3 years old and now the control panel isnt working properly. Specifically, the start button. Contacted Maytag Customer Care service and they could not help me other than charging $80.00 for the Maytag Man.. which by the way, we arent suppose to see because of their superb quality in appliances. So I have a repairman scheduled for next week. I am an highly dissatisfied customer because the dishwasher is used once a week for the 3 years Ive owned it. Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. It just keeps going. Still looks great. We have had our Maytag Neptune analog dryer for over 20 years. It has dried a usual 3 loads a day, with very little maintenance. We have replaced the motor, blower, and support rollers, but these are parts that were just wear and tear items, after years of extraordinary use. It has outlasted 3 or 4 washing machines.

We have had this refrigerator, model MFI2665XEM7, less than two years. The ice maker stopped working and we had it replaced at least 6 times in a two month period. We had a solid ice sheet in the bottom of the freezer drawer and it leaks water on the floor constantly! Even today... after another ice maker replacement, we have no ice! I never wanted a Maytag, but finances and the small space we had gave us little choice. I am not sure what our next move is. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again! I should have google this sooner and we could have saved the poor repairman all of those trips!

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

Bought a Maytag front load washer. When it is operating it is very loud. Some parts of the washer are made of cheap plastic. The Optimum detergent dispenser also of cheap plastic failed after 1 month. Disappointed in finding out only the outside metal box was made in America. All inside components are made in China which raised the cost $300 due to recent tariffs.

We had a house built in 2007 and bought all new Maytag appliances - washer, dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. Consequently, we spent many thousands of $ and Maytag made much money from our purchases. In the 7.5 years since we have been using these appliances, the dishwasher already had to be replaced, as fixing it would have cost just as much as buying a new one. But its the range that I am so angry about. I have replaced the igniter 3 times since 2007, and last night, it went out again. I have spent $494 so far to keep replacing the igniter and once I make the service call to replace it AGAIN, it means I will have spent approx. $700 to keep fixing an appliance that is only 7.5 years old. Maytag says the warranty on the appliance is only for 1 year and will not budge on giving me a break on cost of parts and/or service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase anything Maytag or recommend Maytag to anyone.

This is just a heads up to anyone thinking about purchasing the front loading Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. We spent $1900.00 on these machines and have had nothing but trouble from them. I will never purchase a Maytag or now, Whirlpool appliance again. As to the rating above, if I could post negative 150 stars I would. I have spent as much in repairs as the new dryer cost.

CONSUMER BEWARE! The Maytag Bravos X is without equal the biggest disappointment I have ever had the frustration of using. What a rip off! Water goes in, water goes out and it makes A LOT of noise. That’s it! (That locking lid should have been our first clue.) Specifically, a normal load takes one hour. What you save in water you pay double for in electricity. If you place a folded pair of pants in the washer that’s the way they come out; folded. Two twin sheets and a small blanket come out of the washer with dry spots every single time. If I use liquid fabric softener the clothes come out spotted with it. And it is louder than the train. You would be 100x better off purchasing a washer at a yard sale for $25 than to throw your money away on the Maytag Bravos X. DON’T DO IT.

I bought a Maytag washer (Centennial) because of its reputation. I didnt even realize this site was out here and would have made another selection had I known. I bought the washer on June 7th of 2011. On June 15, 2012, the washer just quit working. I called Maytag. They said since the warranty was over that I had to pay a technician to come out and it would cost $129. I was upset but I had to have a washer so I scheduled it. The tech came out and said the motherboard was bad. He said that this has been a common problem with this machine and that Maytag should actually recall the part. The replacement part was much better. He suggested I call and complain. The part was $180. He said that Maytag may reimburse me because it was so close to the warranty cut off. I called Maytag to explain the situation, and what do you think their response was? Since you already paid for it, there isnt anything we can do. Nice! What a joke. I will never buy another product from them and neither should anyone else.

Bought top of line Maytag dryer and washer in 2011. Immediately had problems with dryer. Dryer resets timer itself to outrageous times. Clothes so dry they could have been parchment. This has continued with multiple service calls and electronics replaced. Still continuing but they will not act lemon law. I have extended warranties but get runaround everyone including Sears where I bought it pointing to each other. Tech came out today and said problem was the way the dryer is. No way to change it. I guess that is nature of the beast. I will never buy Maytag or from Sears again.

Our refrigerator is just 2 years old and it have been leaking for over a year. It started leaking right when the warranty expired. I am so mad. I called them and they said... You can purchase a warranty for $400. I am like.... what!!! I called my home warranty and they fixed it for $100. A few months later it is leaking again! I am so mad... It is a $1200 refrigerator. What can we do as a group to fight for this? There have to be something that we can do?? It is so frustrating. If there is an attorney that can take care of this group that would be great.

In July 2012 I purchased a Maytag BTM standard door refrigerator from Home Depot. Approx. 2 weeks from the 1 yr. Standard warranty July 2013, my refrigerator started cycling like every 20 minutes and loud popping noises started occurring. 1st service tech would only stay 15 minutes & did not want to stick around to hear the noise. Ran the standard tests and said everything was fine. That was around Aug. 2013. So I put up with it for a few more months and finally the popping noise was getting louder. 2nd service guy (Jan. 24, 2014) got to hear my video recording of the refrigerator cycling and loud popping noise. He replaced a bad dul part (Note: they all wanted to blame it on our ice maker that we never ever hooked up). Oops...wrong diagnosis. Whatever he replaced stopped the constant cycling pattern but now the popping noise is getting even louder like a shotgun going off. 3rd repair guy (Feb. 20, 2014) tells us that is normal and recycle product material is not that good nowadays?? I pay a $1000.00 for a noisy refrigerator and they say it is a normal sound. I dont think so. The refrigerator is now popping so hard that the right side of my refrigerator that faces the open is now buckling due to the compression of the heating and cooling which is causing the loud popping noise. If you rub your hand down the side of refrigerator you can feel the waves forming on the side of the refrigerator. Trying to get a Maytag rep out here. Something needs to be done about the production of these bad appliances.

We paid over 2000.00 for our refrigerator in May 2011 and within a year ice started forming on the bottom and then leaking out on to the floor. Every week I have to get out large beach towel to lay under the pull out drawer, break up the built up ice and then pull it out onto the towel. I too called Maytag who said it was out of warranty. Now today I notice a significant temperature drop in the refrigerator and freezer. Whats odd is that the day before yesterday the freezer was so cold the ice cream was solid as a rock. I have a Maytag washing machine (MDBTT53AWW1). The total cost is $524 for machine plus installation. And the cost of yearly repair on this machine is $300.I purchased this machine a year and 10 months ago in January 2010. A few months ago, the control panel started to only light up partially but the washing machine continued to run. A few days ago, when i tried to turn on the machine, it would not work--the control panel was no longer lighting up. I called a repair man recommended by Lowes, and after explaining the problem over the phone, we scheduled a time for him to come (ten days later was his first available opening!).Ten days later with a broken washing machine and doing all the washing by hand, the repair man came late. When I made the appointment, I was told he would come anytime from 8 to 11 a.m., and of course, he did not show up until almost 1:00 pm. When he finally arrived, all he did was look at the model and determined instantly that the reason our control panel was no longer working was due to a faulty design. This dishwasher allows the steam to escape through a small vent placed to the left of the control panel. The steam inevitably causes a short circuit, meaning that this will be a reoccurring problem every year.He did not dismantle anything and was in my home for no more than 5 minutes. I was told the cost of a new control panel would be $141 plus his labor fee of $137. So all in all, if you purchase a Maytag appliance, the initial cost is irrelevant. If you purchase a Maytag appliance, you will spend almost $300 yearly to maintain it--basically the cost of a brand-new washing machine.Something needs to be done; this is unacceptable. The least Maytag could do is provide all of us, fools who believed in their product and thought that they were of quality, with a free10-year warranty for this faulty machine which is pre-determined to break down every year as a result of their poor design planning.Cost aside, what kind of world are we living in that major appliances are made to last just one year and then are to be thrown in the dump? There is no way I will pay $300 for the next ten years to maintain a product that is made to break. That is wasteful and disastrous for the environment. Shame on you, Maytag. You will be filling landfills around the country with your terrible products, and the world will be a worse place for it.

Our Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 is anything but quiet. Within two years of purchasing it, we now hear an F18 jet fighter taking off from our laundry room. Neighbors near and far come running to avoid getting injured when the spin cycle kicks into after burner. Seriously though, this looked to be a nice machine and operated flawlessly until a month ago when the spin cycle started sounding like a jet fighter taking off. I am handy and often fix appliances and things around the house. From reading reviews here on Consumer Affairs and other places, I am finding that the noise problems are more common than not. Investing $400+ into a replacement tub/bearing set would further support Whirlpool/Maytag and the sucking sound they make to get at my wallet. From what I have read, I am likely to have more problems after fixing this one (it will likely break again). I am going to quit while I am ahead and purchase a new washer. Whirlpool/Maytag will never see my business again. Its ludicrous to have an expensive appliance like a washer only last two years. BTW, I just spent $200 to replace the control panel on my 4-year old Maytag dishwasher. A cheap and horrible design. The part probably cost $10 to make. BOHICA. (bend over, here it comes again). FYI: Whirlpool owns and sells its products under several other appliance names. Names that include, Kenmore (yes, Sears), Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Gladiator GarageWorks, Inglis, Estate, Brastemp, Bauknecht and Consul (Wikipedia source). Like a Lotto Scratcher, peel the Whirlpool or Maytag name sticker off and underneath you will find the real name... CRAP! I purchased a Maytag Bravo HE washer and dryer! The biggest mistake I ever made! Three inches of water is max for a load of clothes! This is max full or actually empty. The washer was a third full of clothes and only the bottom layer was wet when it went into rinse! After pulling a calf I really wanted the top pants washed. Nope. Went in dirty and dry to the rinse cycle to spread the bacteria throughout the load. The soap was still laying on the dry clothes on top. Repair guy spent two hours and couldnt get enough water to at least dampen all the clothes in the wash cycle. I would like to see how much cow afterbirth bacteria was still in clothes. I didnt buy a machine to dry wash my clothes! I have asked for my money back on the pair through the performance warranty. Well see! I am not giving it a star as it doesnt earn one!

MVWC565FWO Maytag Top Load - Bought a new washing machine less than six months ago... extremely noisy: Clank, Clank, Clank, Clank, etc. Reviews said it was just noisy, nothing wrong with it. Last week it would not spin the clothes dry. Now when it is plugged in, it does nothing but run the pump! No lights, no water. Also the deep wash was never deep at all - barely covered a modest load of laundry. Repair coming today. Wish I could return it.

I purchased my first Maytag (Bravo Washer) appliance in 2013 and thought this washer would last me for a minimum of 10 years. It started making noises occasionally right away but I wasnt too concerned until it started sounding like someone was banging on it with a sledge hammer. I waited 8 days for a repairman who told me the bearings were going out and it would cost $400-500 to repair. This is the worst washing machine ever manufactured. My advice is to buy any other brand. Dont be fooled by the Maytag hype. Their quality is nonexistent. I am shopping for a new washer.

We do not use the range daily. Our household consists of only two persons. First time we operated the self-cleaning feature on the oven the outer pane of the double glass pane door had what appeared to be grease stains and dirt. In as much as it is a SEALED double pane glass door there is no access to the outer pane to clean it. The double range was only 16 months old and was purchased at RC Willey in Henderson, NV. We also purchased ALL Maytag appliances for our kitchen i.e. refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer on the same date. In addition we purchased furniture for the entire house at RC Willey. The Service Department at RC Willey advised me to access the Whirlpool website for assistance or to call an independent service repair contractor at my expense. THANKS MAYTAG! After having had your laundry appliances for over 30 years, without any service problems whatsoever, I was lulled in a false sense of security over the quality of your appliances. Now I have a household full of Maytag appliances and am at the mercy of independent service repair contractors.

I find this Maytag dishwasher just ok, nothing special. It doesnt seem to clean any better or worse than other dishwashers I have had or used in the past. It also seems to get really slimy under the inside of the door.

Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer XL Series - This the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned by Maytag. I wish I could give them away. The washer does not clean my clothes and the dryer does not dry my clothes. They are absolutely terrible. Do not buy them, you will be sorry.

H.V. Board failure on Maytag model #MFI2568AES refrigerator. Whirlpool needs to step up their parts program. This refrigerator has been down for over 6 weeks and part will not arrive till 7/10/14. There is no excuse. The Maytag name is about as good as our country gone to H_ _ L in a hand basket. Consumers should not have a wait on parts or repairs that forces them to buy a new appliance when they spend $2500 and it only last a few years and try to contact them, they wont reply. I hope everyone who reads this considers LG, GE or SAMSUNG and not whirlpool excuses and JUNK.

This product has been a huge disappointment, from day one. It wrinkles and tears clothes beyond recognition. When I called Maytag to complain, they tried to up sell me a service contact. I explained that it works fine, as a shredder, but it is just a bad design and asked if Maytag had any recalls. He then told me if I purchase the service agreement and they cant fix it then they will refund the $$... ITS NOT BROKEN. It was crap when we got it home. Shame on me for not taking it right back to Best Buy. Someone needs to start a CLASS ACTION SUIT. I am sure they have duped many people into buying this shredding machine...

MER8700DH - Within 6 months, left rear burner stopped working and Maytag repaired it under warranty. Within next 6 months, and just before end of warranty, right front burner stopped working and again Maytag covered it under warranty. Within the second year of ownership, the oven was not working correctly and Maytag refused to cover it because it was off warranty. So I called a local appliance repair company who gave me an estimate of over $300 to repair it and basically advised against repair stating that this stove was a piece of junk. So I replaced it with a GE and junked the old one before it was even two years old. I filed a complaint with Maytag. At first they said they would go half on the labor, but then they said I should have bought the extended warranty and refused all further help.

We bought our Maytag Bravos in December 2010. Four months out of warranty, like many other complaints Ive read, we started getting the loud jet taking off noise from the laundry room. Now we are having issues with the lid lock not allowing you to get to the clothes. This machine tries to spin three times and then locks up. It literally locks the lid and will not allow you to get to your clothes! For a machine to fail just four months out of warranty is a joke! After investigating the problems with the machine, it will cost us more to repair than what we originally paid for the washer in the first place. Give me a break! There should be a recall and Maytag should have their feet held to the fire to replace these less than adequate high-dollar machines!

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

Not only does the water not drain properly causing an insane amount of stench of moldy water being trapped, but this washer has had nothing but problems since we got it. Error code after error code, problem after problem. So disappointed. My husband wanted an LG and I said it had to be Maytag because Maytag was the best. Thanks for making me a liar Maytag!

I have a warranty on my Maytag refrigerator. My icemaker has been broken for six months. I have had repair people show up frequently to try and fix it. Six months and six icemakers later, it still cant be fixed. Remember, I take off work to meet these repair people who sometimes show and sometimes dont. They elevated it to the manufacturer who was going to come out and look at it on Friday, November 23 between 8 and 12. (This is day after Thanksgiving is my only day off.) He doesnt show up nor does he call. So, I called and he is running behind. I should wait until he gets here. Evidently, he doesnt have a phone. These people are totally disrespectful of other peoples time. I didnt mind waiting for it to be fixed but I do mind people who have no consideration or respect for other peoples time.

MY 8 year old LG front load washing machine died late in 2019. I bought a new front loading MAYTAG machine from a local big box store. It was delivered and set up for me. I had always thought Maytag was a well made product. I wanted to stay with the LG machine, however NO local Repair Service Companies would service it! I was told LG and Samsung were substandard products. (My 9 year old LG clothes dryer is still in good condition).I am truly sorry to say the MAYTAG washer is dreadful. The door locks and cannot be opened the very second you touch the start button. There are fewer wash cycles to chose from. You can never tell if the clothes will spin or be soaked. The door needs to be left ajar and the interior wiped down at end of wash cycle. Etc.. I was ready to call the Store to return the machine - I should have - but I like store. The Maytag price was almost $900. I am very dissatisfied.

I did not purchase it. This range came with my home. The electric range works great. It is thorough and I dont have to worry about the gas being on and filling the house up. Electric may not be for everyone, but it is the way to go for me. I will look for similar if not the exact same make/model if a replacement is necessary. I dont mind spending a little extra to ensure the product will last. So many products dont last nowadays and it is sad. I am not an avid cooker, actually I tend to mess up a lot of food recipes but the electric range helps me to reduce the number of problems I run across with the durability and accountability of the product. It cooks throughout the entire dish/pan and I have never had a problem with the unit working properly, just the user not working properly. Haha.

Bravos 4.3 High Efficiency Washer - The worst washer ever. I recently returned from burying my step-mother. She actually used the same washer and dryer, by Maytag, for over 50 years. Those days are gone forever. This is my second set of Maytags in ten years. The first literally stopped working just after the first year warranty ran out. I still have them inside my pantry, like a set of anchors. Notwithstanding that, I thought, Maytag was a good brand, it must have just been the style of machines, so I purchased these in January. After over six months of usage, I am amazed at how many times I have to wash a single load of clothing to get the items clean. Who cares if the machine saves water? What was wrong with having an agitator? I literally have to remove freshly laundered clothing, turn it over and run the wash again to get the top of the laundry clean. I have had a blanket finish for the fourth time to get it clean, only to have to hang it outside because it is so full of water, the weight keeps it from spinning properly. And why would you remove a timer feature which permits very busy, working people, to wash their items while they are on the way home or in the middle of the night so that there is no waiting to pop the clothes in the dryer? None of the cycles takes less than 80 minutes to complete. Who has 80 minutes to wait on the washer to do its job? I am so upset about the amount of money I spent on all of these machines. Just think, I could have brought the over 50 years old set home from my step-mothers and had a washer and dryer do what they were supposed to do -- clean the clothes.

This is not a complaint but a love-letter. I know that todays Maytag Neptune is not the Maytag of old. But Im here to report that Im still using a Maytag washer that was built in 1982! The only thing wrong with my machine is that it occasionally goes off-balance when I wash heavy towels or blankets. Note: We inherited this machine with the purchase of a home in 1991. We were a family of 6, so this machine has done many heavy loads! Im looking forward to celebrating my Maytags 30th birthday, come Jan. 1, 2012. And I would love advice on how to replace it, eventually, with another machine that has just the basics - no bells and whistles, computerized control panels, etc.

The Maytag Bravos washing machine (Model No. MVWB75OWQ1 Type 580) is the worst Ive ever owned. The low water level obviously is not sufficient to clean the clothes as the clothes come out still dirty. I pre-treat stains carefully and follow all of the directions and 9 times out of 10, my clothes come out with the stain still there. The clothes never smell clean. In fact, they have an odor. My t-shirts still have a smell of BO under the arms and some of my clothes still smell like my perfume. They just arent clean. I feel like we put our dirty clothes in this machine and they agitate around in a little pool of water for an hour and they come out still dirty. The machine frequently gets off balance and shuts down too. If I had the money to trash this one and go buy another one - Id do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately - Im stuck with this piece of junk until I can afford to buy a new one. This was a total waste of money and Maytag should be ashamed that they have not recalled it and given its customers a replacement option.

The washing machine is rusting and Maytag refuses to take care of their inferior product and obvious inferior materials used, and also inferior workmanship.

My husband and I purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door/freezer bottom ice making fridge from Hhgregg in Brown Deer, WI and 8 months later (now), Ive been told that my food that is spoiled, cant be replaced and my service for the fridge wont be done until next week! I have 5 kids and a husband. This has turned our world upside down. I called them and spoke to a Nicole and she said they cant do anything for us, but we can try to contact the diamond repair service at 269-927-2519 to see if they can get us in sooner. I asked for a refund for the fridge and she said no, the 10 warranty only counts for repairs... I am so angry that I didnt research Maytag before now. I gave the Whirlpool fridge to the delivery guys of Hhgregg and I had that for 18 years and it never went out on me. If anyone is reading this and is upset as well, let us get together and start a class action suit!

After only 3 yrs of normal 2 person family use my Maytag washing machine completely failed. The ball bearings in the transmission seized requiring the replacement of the transmission. At the same time the control panel failed yielding the machine completely unusable. The repair cost was more than originally payed for the machine, forcing me to purchase a new one (not a Maytag). Maytag said since there was no recall on this model that they could not help me. I bought the Maytag because of their claim of quality. This was not my experience either with the product, or the customer service.

I purchased an emerald green washing and dryer (MHW4200BW) by Maytag. Unfortunately, my washing machine broke and I bought the extended warranty. After many visits from the repair company, it was determined that one of the parts needed was on back order indefinitely. Maytag decided that they would replace the washing machine. Sounds like a fair and good deal, however, the washing machine that they are going to replace my unit with is of a different color. Apparently someone in upper management at Maytag made a business decision to stop selling this particular color unit with little to no regards to the customers that had already purchase their product in that color. Had I known that they were going to discontinue the color, then I would have stuck with a standard color like white. At least I would not be faced with having a mismatch unit now because Maytag will not replace both units. To make matters worse, my washing machine and dryer is on the first floor right off my kitchen. It is not stuck in the basement way from company, etc. I am so disappointed in Maytag and their lack of consideration for their customers.

The frontload washer 4000 series began making a very loud noise on spin. I called Maytag and requested service. The technician came and made a diagnostic evaluation, stating this has been a bearing defect affecting several of these models. I called Maytag, and the representative agreed to ship the parts at no charge. A week later, we received the parts, only for the technician to find one of the parts damaged in shipping perhaps. So another part was sent directly to the Maytag dealer. Upon my research, this appears to be a known issue with the Maytag/Whirlpool corporation, and I found where customers had requested Maytag to also be responsible for the service/labor costs, which were also covered by Maytag. I made the call today and was advised no and to be happy that Maytag paid for the parts due to a known defect and that no service or labor charges would be covered. I understand my machine is out of warranty, but this is a known defect; its nothing caused by my self.

Peeling of paint off the oven finish, inconsistent heating, fan goes on and cant shut off until the oven cools, have to leave door open in order to shut fan off. The paint peeling is really bad. It is right where the heat escapes from the oven, have to touch up paint every so often so it doesnt look so bad and the discoloration is covered besides the peeling.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos washer & dryer in September 2012 and 2 1/2 years later March 2015, no heat. We called a repairman and he said heat element went out. When researching this problem online I was shocked how many people had the same problem as we have. It cost over $300 to fix and I am concerned that it will just break again and again after reading these reviews. I think that a class action lawsuit may be needed so that this unfortunate situation does not continue to happen to other consumers.

MODEL: MFI2265XEM1 - ice maker dispenser leaked water while under warranty; took two separate technician trips to repair. Several months later, called Maytag regarding leak and ice at bottom. Technician replaced w/ grommet w/ larger dia drain tube extension; smaller dia causing backup of water & ice. Now, ice maker quit working completely, ice buildup in bottom part of refrigerator and freezer building up frost which means air is getting into the freezer, and yes, the freezer door is completely shut! Please advise if there is a class action suit. Will contact California Attorney Generals office.

2 weeks after my warranty is up, the control panel is shot. They used to make quality products and that is why I purchased a Maytag. I had before this a very cheap dishwasher from G.E. and it lasted 9 yrs. I cant believe it is already broken. Do not buy Maytag!!
