This Maytag Centennial with commercial technology washer has ruined a couple of thousand of dollars of clothing, maybe 10 to 12 of my favorite shirts (ripped holes around the top of the pockets), bath towels and sheets and comforters and hand knitted small blankets that can never be replaced. It tore holes in nearly everything that was made out of cotton, I was doing spring cleaning and I normally wash most of my summer clothing, but this time this washing machine destroyed nearly all my summer clothing. This washing machine came with the house I just purchased. (I gave my older Maytag washer and dryer to some needy folks which worked great when I moved here). Disappointed in MAYTAG. Will never buy another Maytag!

I ordered my dream refrigerator (Maytag Model MFT2776FEZ) on 05-12-2017. I had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive because it was on back-order. I was willing to wait. All was good for 6 months. January 2018, the six month old refrigerator quit cooling. It took 2 1/2 from the service call until the part came in to fix before I could use my refrigerator again. I lost all my food. The same thing happened again in March 2018 except that it took 4 weeks for the part to come in once the serviceman ordered it. I lost all my food for a second time. February 2019, the same thing happened again. I placed the service call on 01-31-2019 for service, but the tech could not come out until 2/6/19. The part had to be ordered and could not be installed until 2-28-2019. For the 3rd time, Ive lost my food. My best friend that has appliances that are nearly 30 years old. She was going to replace all of hers and get exactly what I ordered. She has changed her mind and has decided she would rather keep her outdated appliances because they work.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in 2019 in Home Depot for my new home. The dishwasher stopped washing dishes after two years and 6 months. The price of the new machine was 700$ and I did not buy the extended warranty. The trouble is circulation pump, that cost to install the new one from local service would be about 350$ plus the new pump 150$. I consider quality is very poor if the new dishwasher works only two years and then it is better to buy a new item than fix the old one. Never never buy Maytag production.

The Maytag Bravos XL low water washing machine is very disappointing. About 20% of the time it needs a second rinse because there isnt enough water released to rinse clothing. Forget washing anything large. It just doesnt do it. Waste of money. The matching dryer is just fine - no complaints.

I bought the washer dryer combo. Dryer already broken. Washer is very loud when it changes gears. Would not recommend the washer or dryer.

After 9 months, the $850 Maytag Bravos started making extremely loud grinding noises during agitation cycle. We had 5 repair tech visits from A&E Repair, Maytags national repair vendor (and several cancellations + unscheduled visits by same). Each tech said a different part needed to be replaced requiring weeks of waiting for parts deliveries and getting huge boxes delivered to our office and dragging them home since my husband and I work for a living and are not home to accept large parcel deliveries. We had to unpack the washer basket in order to get it into our car and saw it was completely damaged. After 4 months of tech repair visits, using my home as a repair shop, forcing me to take days off from work and still no resolution to the problem, I was finally able to get Maytag to replace the machine. Our previous washer was original to our 25 year old house before it died. Unbelievably, the new Maytag has the very same problems and we are back on the same merry-go-round. This has become a part time job and super headache. I have never had such a horrible experience with a purchase or company. This is not a case of heavy usage either. We are ready to dump this machine! Do not buy a Maytag or affiliate product - Maytag is the worst!

I paid $512.00. 5-09 Bob Millers Appliance replaced the door because it bubbled. 10-11 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 3-12 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 10-16 Door handle broke off again under normal wear and tear. 12/14/16 I went to Bob Millers Appliances and was told to contact Whirlpool. 12/16/16 I called Whirlpool, Tina said, yes it is excessive but it is not under warranty and they do not make the microwave any longer and they cant do anything to repair it and they can not fix the issue. I find it how to believe Im the only person who has had this issue. I dont have kids. Its only me that uses it.

I purchased a white Maytag gas stove over 12 years ago. It has been great and never caused any problems. I live alone and rarely use the oven. However, I use the stovetop daily for cooking. With continual use, it has a lot of nicks and scratches. It also has stains inside the glass oven panel that I cant clean. The glass would have to be removed in order to clean inside. This is why I give a rating of 4 stars. If I used the oven more frequently, I would notice if it had any problems with the temperature, proper cooking, etc. and could give a more accurate rating. I have small toaster oven and therefore, I cook practically all of my meals in the toaster oven.

We bought our Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago (model MDB8969SDM0) and we are remodeling our kitchen now January 2018, and when we pulled the dishwasher out we found that the wire (12/2) had melted into the back panel. We won’t be putting this Maytag back in.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos XL washing machine because I wanted a top loader that was water saving. This washer boasts of a 10 year commercial capacity so I thought I was buying a decent machine. Unfortunately I have had a very disappointing experience. From the start this machine has not cleaned clothes properly. We circle clothes around the agitator and only fill the machine a third of the way full. This is the only way to ensure clean clothes. We use HE soap.As if this hasn’t been bad enough, the entire motherboard seems to be glitching out. It throws a different code each load and sometimes won’t start. Other times it won’t stop. It isn’t safe to use when we aren’t home or are asleep, making the time delay feature useless. Last night the machine ran for 2.5 hrs on a 1hr 30 min estimated deep water wash. I finally turned off the power and let it drain out after it insisted it had 45 min for the last hour.... this thing is a total waste of money. Will never buy another Maytag!!!!

Was very happy with choice when it arrived. Bought October of 2010. Now, this summer, nothing but problems. Honestly weekly cleaning of vents underneath, sheets of ice in freezer, refrigerator not staying cool, constant frost plugging areas, and no more ideas of how to make it work. I already quit with Kenmore after terrible problems with their appliances and now when Maytag doesnt stand up for years what are we supposed to buy? Yesterday I was using my washer (small load of clothes), I was with my baby in the laundry room when suddenly there was a horrible noise and the door of the washer opened, he hit my back, something fatal could have happened. I do not know how it happened but a piece of concrete was inside the drum. I do not want to imagine what would have happened if that piece came out and hurt my baby. I spoke to the company and explained what had happened to me, but they do not want to be responsible for what happened because the washer is in Tijuana (border with San Diego), I bought the washer in Pirch San Diego California in 2015. I purchased this refrigerator 1 1/2 yrs. ago. The refrigerator stopped getting cold about 3 months after warranty expired. I called Maytag company and told them how disappointed with their product and also how angry I was after spending $1500 only 18 months ago and now it is useless! They kept asking me if I bought the extended warranty and I said I didnt think I would have to after buying a brand new product. And then it breaks so soon!! And now they want me to spend an additional $359 to get the warranty... what a racket! She told me to look under the fridge for leaks. Sorry I cant, Im disabled. Purchased a Maytag bravo washer model #MVWX500XLO 2yrs and 6 months ago April 28/2011. In Dec. 2013, I heard a loud clanking sound and was shocked. I thought that some coins were lodged somewhere.... not the case. I put up with the clanking until after Xmas.... Finally I called a licensed technician (in business more than 20 yrs). He immediately identified the problem.... THE TRANSMISSION was shot. Wow what a shock! 65.00 dollars house call to give me the news. I phoned head office to no avail. The office said that it is not covered and that the part would be in the neighborhood of 350.00 $ and probably the installation around $160.00. I am still in shock. We paid around $750.00 for the unit. The technician said that it is one of the worst machines he has ever worked on. I am now talking with Home Depot to see if they can get some compensation on the unit (speaking with the rep). Will I buy another Maytag (by the way) made by Whirlpool... I guess not.

Maytag bravos xl - HORRIBLE at washing and cleaning the clothes. Broke a little after a year... Went to Maytag site, saw that they push 10 yr warranty. Transmission went out... but not covered?? Garbage.

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because theres no recall on it I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

I would like Maytag to repair or replace this dishwasher. It has only been installed since November 2014. The only button that works is the auto clean. None of the buttons work. I thought Maytag was a reputable business.

The Maytag Commercial Technology wash machine, the one with the clear top, leaves soap residue on our clothes. We have tried different detergents, always high efficiency, using the extra rinse, using the deep fill and nothing works. We have tried cleaning with vinegar and using the clean washer cycle. We had 2 technicians look at it, one tore the machine apart, both said nothing is wrong with the machine. So, we are left to believe that we are stuck with a machine the leaves soap residue on our clothes as Maytag will do nothing for us because of the assessments of the technicians.

Maytag side-by-side fridge with water/ice dispenser (Model # MSD2572VEW00) was purchased in 2011. Mechanically, fridge is working, however, every piece of plastic inside the refrigerator section (the regular glass shelves with plastic rims, vegetable bins, and door ban shelves) are all cracking and falling apart. Additionally, the buttons on the ice/water dispenser fell off, exposing the actual buttons on the panel. All three of the regular sized shelves have severe cracks in the plastic that affect the sturdiness of the shelf. Both vegetable drawers are badly cracked, falling apart and one doesnt even stay secure on the track. Even all three of the door ban shelves are cracked with fractures along the sides and bottom. Weve resorted to putting clear packing tape just to hold the shelves together.We contacted Whirlpool, who owns Maytag and because our fridge is 4 years outside of the 1 year warranty, they could do nothing for us. In over 30 years of owning refrigerators, this is the first time Ive seen every shelf and bin crack the way this fridge has and in less than 5 years no less! Whirlpools solution to our issue was to send my call to their Parts Department. The total cost to replace all the cracked shelves, bin drawers plus the ice/water dispenser panel is $702.28. No thanks, thats as much as a new fridge. Whirlpool should be utterly ashamed of their total lack of Customer Satisfaction by distributing such a piece of junk. Who would have thought that an appliance costing a couple hundred dollars would be considered as disposable as an aluminum pan and in only 5 years! One thing is for sure, I will certainly think carefully again on ever buying another Whirlpool product again since they are so apt to take my money only for me to repurchase an expensive appliance again in less than 5 years.

I purchased my dishwasher exactly two years ago. We are empty nesters so it has had light use. Today, when I tried to start it, the control panel would not work. Thanks to what I found in your site. I will not take a day off of work to wait for a repairman only to have it fail a second time. It is hard for me to believe a company that builds its reputation on a bored repairman would produce a product with a faulty control panel and not do something about it. Like your other folks, I will never buy another Maytag product and will not the waste the money to repair it. I am going out tomorrow to buy another dishwasher and throw this one away.

Have a Bravo Quiet Series 300, does not clean clothes because on not enough water to wash with. Have to set it on Bulk to have it clean good enough. The way it agitate and rotate the clothes turns the wash into knotted pretzels (this also makes it harder to clean the clothes) which in turn makes the spin cycle vibrate badly. Cannot put wash in and leave because of this.

I have only had this machine for 2 weeks after having a Maytag since 1994. Even broken, my old machine was far superior to this one, a Maytag Bravos. Fortunately, the salesman noted that I wouldnt be happy with this machine but, thanks to a government mandate, all new machines behave in a similar manner to save water and energy. This agitator-less machine neither washes nor rinses the clothes/bedding/towels properly. It takes four times as long to wash the items but doesnt get them nearly as clean. Today, I put 2 pairs of shorts, 2 T-shirts and a standard bed-sized mattress cover in to wash. The mattress cover never even got thoroughly wet even though I used the deep wash and extra rinse settings. Last week I put sheets in the sheet setting only to have them come out totally wrinkled and stiff as a board with soap even though I used the recommended amount of detergent. This is a disaster. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag and the U.S. Govt. A river and a flat rock would work better!

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

Like others that have submitted a review, about six months ago, our then less than two year old Maytag Bravos XL washer became very loud. If the problem is the main bearing as others have suggested, its not covered under the 10 year warranty. Aside from loud noise, the washer has never performed to my wifes satisfaction. Neither has the Maytag Bravos XL dryer. Regardless of the settings, the dryer doesnt dry the laundry completely. Extremely disappointed with both the washer and dryer which replaced our 15 year old Maytag washer and dryer. We will be replacing the defective Maytags with another brand like LG or Samsung very soon.

I purchased a new Maytag range (gas) in June of 2012 - 6 months ago. I have had the same problem many others have had (as Ive just read) with the toxic smell every time I used the oven. I was told it was just the chemical burning off from being new. I have never owned a new oven so I took their word for it. On Christmas day, my kids and I were going to bake cookies and set the oven to preheat. Flames and black smoke were shooting out of the range, and the fire department was called. Even after the fire department put out the fire and removed the stove from my kitchen to my front porch, they spent more time investigating the situation to make sure my home was safe than the certified Maytag repair person that was dispatched out by Maytag to service the range. This stove is only 6 months old and still under warranty with Maytag. The service person they sent out did not take the stove apart and spent less than 5 minutes looking it over; then he determined that it was a grease fire caused by owner’s negligence. I disagreed with him and told him I have been cooking for many years and thought he did not do a thorough job to determine the problem with the range. He got very upset with me, took his bag and left without leaving me a service slip. I asked Maytag to send someone else out and explained to them that this service person did not do a sufficient job in examining the range, nor did he perform any kind of service to get the range back in working condition. Maytag claims they will not send anyone else out, and there is nothing more they will do for me. They say it is my fault it caught fire; and if I want it fixed, I have to pay for it myself even though it is still under warranty with them. My stove is still on my porch where it has been since Christmas day. I then visited Maytags Facebook page and corresponded with others whom have had similar issues with their products and the lack of customer service from this company. Maytag has now blocked me from commenting on their Facebook page. The customer service rep on that site asked me to email her all my information about the range and my issues with it, and she assured me she would respond to the matter. As of yet, I have heard nothing back. I am terribly dismayed by the way I have been treated by this company, their so-called certified service technician, and that they do not honor their warranties or stand by their products. I am cooking for a family of 5 in a 12-year-old microwave (which is not a Maytag by the way) after spending over $600.00 on a brand new range.

I purchased it 8 months ago. I have had problems with the machine leaving clothes soaked at the end of cycle. I have contacted Maytag (still under warranty) and they replaced the motor. The first load after repair still had the same problem. They said the check drain was not clogged. The snaked drain has no backups. After every wash, I have to reset the cycle to drain and spin. The machine spins for seconds and fills back up with water and doesnt spin again, but does drain. Clothes are sopping wet at the end of cycle. I contacted Maytag. They said I could be billed for customer education ($129) if they find no problem (threat). I want my money for purchase returned or at least 3/4ths. I expected my new machine to last years, not months.

Maytag french door bottom freezer model #MFF2558VEB5 - It stinks to read all the similar problems Ive had with my unit. Purchased Nov 2011. Problems started within a year. First minor, deli drawer broke. I use clear duck tape to operate it and that has been fine. But not acceptable. About a year ago the water leak out of bottom freezer was noticed. The bottom inside is frozen sheet. I break up and manually remove quite often. NOTE: I intentionally do not use, did not install, the ice maker - historically they are poor risk so I dont bother. The ice unit is in the machine but not installed. I assume my water build up which freezes on bottom related to poor design of defrost drain and that is supported by other comments here. I find it disgusting. Live and learn. Its B.S.

Maytag Model #MGR7662 range - We inherited this oven when we bought my mother-in-laws house 2 years ago. We had to get a thermometer to keep in the oven since the temperature is never consistent and is usually 50-100 degrees lower than the digital readout. We will be replacing this oven as soon as we can and it will NOT be a Maytag.

I thought it was just my machine that sounded like an airplane taking off in my laundry room. Upon reading these reviews I see there is a real problem with this machine. My parents and grandparents trusted and swore by Maytag products. Maybe then, but certainly not now. Maytag for me stands for landfill. I have had 2 Maytag certified service companies come to repair my washer that is only 6 years old and its the same part both times which I am told by these service providers has been a problem and Maytag knows about it. But when I call Maytag all I get is some sound bite advising me there has been no recall and since I have an extended warranty I will have to take it up with them since that is who my contract is with. Of course they are only obligated to make a repair and cannot replace a defective unit. Of course not.Far be it for Maytag to step up and really stand behind the promises they are making all over our television channels with the new Maytag man. The top of the washer is also all rusted out around the soap, bleach, and softener openings. It is a poorly made machine with known issues by a manufacturer that I will never buy from again. Its a sad day that manufacturers are not held accountable for inferior products and even sadder that this Maytag manufacturer boasts its made in the USA for this machine. So is it back to China we go??? If you want America back you better support your product to your buyers.

The circuit board on my seven year old Maytag French door refrigerator died. I called a repair company out to see if it could be repaired. He went to order the part and said that it was not available. Now I read a review from someone else saying that Maytag does not have parts for appliances that are over 6 years old. Thats ridiculous that after spending so much money on an appliance that parts are not available. I will never buy another Maytag appliance.

We purchased a Model MDB8949SAWO Maytag dishwasher in September 2012. The control panel failed in November 2015. We wrote a letter to Maytag (Whirlpool) expressing our disappointment and received a call from Maytag customer service. The Customer Service representative informed us because we contacted our local repair facility directly, no reimbursements would be provided. During a subsequent follow-up call, I was informed by the Customer Service representative that Maytag manufactures quality products and that no premature failures were occurring with Maytag dishwashers. The Customer Service Representative stated that we should have purchased an extended warranty which lends some support to the fact that Maytag dishwashers are essentially junk. Never again will we purchase any Whirlpool products.

After 18 months of use Our Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) has the same control panel problem as a lot of other user complaints. I wish I too had read the consumer reviews before my purchase. We will never buy another Whirlpool product!!

This has been the worst washing machine I have ever owned!!! Purchased 3 years ago and this is the 3rd time the bearings dont work again. It make loud clanking noises. Then fails to spin at all. The first time it broke was the 1st year we owned it. It is sitting in our hallway and I can hardly wait for it to leave my house. Talked to the local appliance dealer and they never recommends these washers. I told dealer I must have gotten a lemon. He replied that it wasnt a lemon, that the machine tubs have gotten so much bigger and they have needed to upgrade the bearing system and are unwilling to do it. Dealer has highly recommended the Speed Queen. Based on the stellar reviews that is what will be coming to our house today. I can hardly wait. I know, its just a washing machine but frustration has overcome me. The Speed Queen has no plastic parts. We went with the knob style as opposed to the electronic push buttons. Less to go wrong. The warranty on the Speed Queen is top of the line, 5-year parts and labor. The salesperson didnt even try to sell me a warranty. No need to. Speed Queen stands by their product. I only recommend the Maytag Bravo XL if you dont have enough stress in your life.

So for the past year our 1 yr old freezer has been leaking and holding a sheet of ice at the bottom. Ive been wondering why my electric bill has skyrocketed the past two months and we just realized that the freezer wont even stay closed anymore. Maytag has become a VERY POOR product. Our less than two year old $450 Maytag Drier just busted as well. After paying repairman after repairman and replacing different parts, we had to get rid of it. I am very dissatisfied with Maytag and will never purchase a product with their name attached. Please keep us posted if there is a class action lawsuit. This is unfair to make a product that fails immediately for the price that is paid!

350.00 dollars for repair on a 3 1/2 year old washing machine. Machine wont finish spinning and lid lock keeps flashing on and off and sometimes stays off. Never finishes spinning. A lot of complaints on this! This should be recalled! Always was a Maytag customer but no more!

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

Purchased a Maytag refrigerator less than two years ago. Model M1txegmyb that was nothing special. Main purpose was to keep food cold/frozen. Now it makes noise and will not freeze anything. We called Maytag and they told us to take a hike or pay $469 for a new compressor on a fridge we spent $650 on. I would never buy their products again because the quality is so poor. Reading the other comments we have decided to throw the unit out at this point as we have pledged never to give Maytag another dollar.

The washer is designed to use low amounts of water. The top is glass so you can watch what is or is not happening. The manual states there should be clothes above the water after filling. However after the wash cycle with a full or even half full washer, there is still some dry clothes above the water. As a result the clothes are not washed until the rinse cycle. I called Maytag and a repair tech came out to fix it. His solution was to trick the sensors by dumping a pail of water on top of the dry clothes before starting the washer. The sensors think there are more clothes than there really is. Will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again.

I have had a number of Maytag washing machines in my life and have never disliked a machine as much as the last one I purchased! The bleach dispenser is awful and any bleach that happens to land on the outer rim has ruined many clothes. I took them to my dealer to show him the ruined clothes and was told bleach does not evaporate do must be wiped off each time. With no soap dispenser I find I have to put the soap in first and keep trying to fill the machine some before I add the clothes. This takes forever but if dont do this my clothes are stained. I purchased this machine on April 11, 2017 and can not afford to go buy another washer at this time. The Dealer can not help me and when I called Maytag they were not interested! Buyer beware!

Please Do NOT purchase the Maytag Aqua Lift Gas Range. It does not clean anything, you will pay more money for a cleaning oven that does not clean any grease or droppings if you cook. This is not an Oven for any one, or family that cooks large meals or has gatherings. I had the technicians at my house over 4 times and they confirmed that this oven is not a self cleaning oven. It doesnt get hot enough as your self cleaning ovens. And MAYTAG did not want to hear anything, basically not clean much, but advertised as a self cleaning oven. Having been a Maytag customer for years I will never buy a Maytag product again. And we need to support American made, but not when the consumer is misled.

Called to schedule service for letters on door to be replaced ice and water completely rubbed off until you didnt know which one you were getting. Refrigerator is less than 10 months old. Also freezer door was hung lower than refrigerator door. Was told nothing could be done. It was a cosmetic issue. Very rude customer service dept and I talked to two separate people and they were both rude and unwilling to help. I can promise you I will never buy any of their appliances again.

Bravos MCT maytag commercial technology washer - Bought this washer a year ago. Will not complete cycles. Will not agitate. Never buy Maytag.

I purchased a whole stainless steel kitchen from Lowes and purchased all Maytag products because of the so called quality of Maytag. First we had to return the microwave because it was dented badly. We then notified Lowes that the door on the refrigerator cold cut drawer falls off when opening the drawer. Service man said he would send a new door. Same problem. You can clearly see that the drawer and the refrigerator frame is deformed. Maytag says that the warranty does not cover cosmetics. The range has a aqua lift self-cleaning technology that simply sucks. The oven does not clean! I recommend that no one ever buy Maytag products. They are the worst! I should not have listened to the salesman and bought what I originally wanted - SAMSUNG!!!

Softener container is clogging up with softener. Worse, the drain in the fridge has frozen up twice and now again I am having to pay someone to clean it out. A pool of water accumulates in front of the fridge where the ice melts. Disgusting in new appliances.

There should be a recall. Just look at the number of people complaining about this same exact occurrence about the control panel not activating. Im on my second control panel in 24 months. Some people are on their fourth already. Give me a break. There needs to be a recall and a redesign of this thing, which turned out to be a piece of junk washer.

My name is Mrs ** and I dont have a complaint. I would to tell you about our washer. It is a Maytag. It use to be my mother-in-laws. She did laundry in it for 4 grown boys and 1 girl plus her and her husband. She passed along to my husband a long time ago. And now it does laundry for 6 kids plus my husband and me. I run it 2 days a week sometimes more. The washer is between 25 and 30 years old. And works good still. Im not sure how much longer it has but we are happy with it. And soon Ill be washing for 7 kids. We have made a decision to start looking for another soon. But I wanted to share my story with you. My husband is now in his 40s if it says how long it has lasted. Purchased a Maytag four door refrigerator and it leaks water all over the floor. Every few days I remove ice from the bottom of the freezer.

I purchased a Maytag washer from Badcock. Within 7 months the control board went out. It was down for nearly 6 months. I had to use a laundromat until I finally rented one from another place. Now again months later the control board is out again (F2F3 Call Service). Due to long wait time luckily I have another warranty but am being told I have to wait 2 weeks before a tech can come look at my washer, and that they wont have a loaner or cant just get me a new washer being the problem is THE SAME! Spent hours on hold only to be told to wait AGAIN! I would NEVER recommend dealing with this company. They used to be top of the line, but clearly not anymore.

I bought this Maytag dishwasher model mdb6709awq1 from Home Depot that installed it; they did a good job installing for a fair price. My gripe is with Maytag. I have owned a Maytag dishwasher since 1977. Back then it was the best you could buy. Since Maytag sold out to Whirlpool to save being bought by the Chinese, the design of the dishwasher has lost or gave up their unique design that made it so good and dependable. The inside of the rack/drawers has been totally changed. It used to have fold down racks on each side of bottom rack that was great for coffee mugs, small bowls/containers, and they came out sparkling clean. The utensil basket was centered front and again the utensils came out super clean. Maytag sold their soul when they sold out to Whirlpool. Dont know if that was part of the deal that they give up their unique design or why did they change the rack design. I wish I still had my old Maytag from 1998 that yes, worked without a problem, then I sold the house with the dishwasher. Why is it that so many appliance makers have taken dependable workhorse designs and phased them out? What is wrong with an appliance lasting for years, decades without problems? Only thing I can think of is that they wont make millions every year as they only would sell so many a year if they are dependable as they wont need to be replaced.

We bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher, and it was a nightmare. So after four years of that we tried their sister company Maytags dishwasher. I have to say that I think these two old American brands have been ruined. This Maytag dishwasher is always making my dishes smell like rotten fish or a dead animal. I have to dump bleach and or vinegar down in the bottom constantly to keep the stink down. And I have looked and there is no food laying in the grinder. Then we started to lose wash cycles, and the buttons (not real buttons but a cheapo control panel) started to malfunction after 2 years. Now, 3 years into it the plastic adjusters in the top rack are broken, control panel has gone totally haywire, and still smells terrible. I remember when American appliances were sturdy and reliable because they were designed by engineers. Now they must be designed by accountants and shareholders. Goodbye Maytag and Whirlpool.

My dishwasher is 9.5 months old. The computer board needs to be replaced and they cannot find the part. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks since I called in the repair which is under warranty. I was told they have 10 business days to search the country. Really search the country. Does anyone know what will happen if they cannot find the parts I need?

This washing machine is TERRIBLE! If I could give it zero stars I would. It broke right after the first year and has been nothing but trouble since. Agitators has been replaced twice. Clothes do not get clean. Do not buy this machine. When I contacted Maytag with my initial complaints they were not helpful. Please save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand machine.

I am a regular customer of Leons and used to buy all my home appliances from them, because I trusted their quality and service of their products. However, last time I bought French Door Maytag refrigerator from them, about two years ago, we suffered from defects in this type of fridge. The problem started before one year when my wife saw some leakage of water on floor in the front side under the fridge freezer door. In the beginning, this was occurring once a month or every two weeks, so she didnt think it would be a problem or it might happen occasionally. However, the water leakage now became worse and almost every day. We had to put a towel permanently under the freezer door to dry the water which appeared ugly. Also, I had couple of accidents that my child slide over because of that water leakage. I spoke to one technician, he told me resolving this type of problems is not guaranteed because the problem will appear again or after while. He said this could be a manufacturing defects in this type of Maytag fridge models!!! Another problem appeared also one year ago, that one of the door handle started to shake very little, but now it looks like moving from its position and there is no way to fix it!!!Therefore, when I requested the help from Leons they told me that, You didnt buy the extended warranty and we cant do anything for you!!! You can talk directly to Maytag. Then, I send email to Maytag explaining the problem. They even didnt bother to reply or call me. Now, I feel that I was bluffed by these companies. I didnt think that I was buying a $2,000 refrigerator to scrap it after two years. That is ridiculous when you buy defected product from them, but they dont care to resolve the issue.

I bought my Maytag Refrigerator about 7 years ago and the night mares have not stopped. The ice maker has broken down so many times, I forgot to count. The drip from the ice maker lands on the floor of the freezer and drips out to the floor. The cold part of refrigerator end up freezing the fruits and veggie and milk.

Almost one year to the date of purchase, my Maytag glass top range stopped working. The oven is still operational, but the range top does not work. The knobs turn and the surface lights go on but the elements no longer heat up. Trying to get a response from a real person at Maytag was impossible. I was put through a myriad of prompts that led me to scheduling a service appointment. I called AppliancesMart and got a wonderful sales person who said a service call would cost me 60 to 80 dollars and that he had not heard of repairs below $300 for this type of problem. Needless to say I am very angry and disappointed that I had not done more research before I purchased this item. If I can prevent one more person from making this same mistake, I will get some modicum of satisfaction out of this horrible experience.

I called Sears to have a simple repair done to my Neptune washer and received a quote for $800.00++. They gave us a coupon to get a new washer at Sears and we did. Last week my dryer broke and I looked the repair up on Youtube. It looked real simple. A quote for $270 was given to us. Again a coupon if we wanted to buy new. It seems to me Sears jacks the price up on its parts and labor in order to push the customer to buy new. So far its worked for them and Im sure everyone else as well. Its not going to work out for Sears this time. Im no longer doing business with them and I will do the repair myself. I still got stuck with the service call but that will end as well going forward because I know now what the game is. Shame on you Sears. Double thumbs down for my Maytag Neptune washer and dryers.

I inherited this Maytag washer, so it has been around a very long time (I have had it for 18 years). It still runs quite well, has 3 levels of wash/rinse, 3 cycles to wash in. Both of us...me and the washer are still kickin together. Highly recommend Maytag.

This washer has no agitator post and doesnt seem to clean as well as ones with agitator posts. I have heard that they are easier on your clothes though. The dryer works well enough, but I believe the control panel/motherboard needs replacing. The signal sounds even with the dryer turned off, which is startling to my dog and me. I reset it by flipping off the 220 breaker in the garage and leaving it off until the next time I do laundry!

Maytag HE Top Loader Washing Machine: I have regretted buying this piece of garbage since my first wash. This washing machine is complete waste of money and a piece of garbage. The Auto Sensing doesnt work and doesnt cover the clothes with enough water. When the deep water wash is chosen the clothes just float around but the agitator doesnt get them clean. Dont waste your money hoping it will work, because it wont. Maytag used to signify quality that is no longer the case. I am going to also give a bad review to the place I purchased this piece of garbage because all stores need to discontinue selling this junk.

I bought this washer on 6-29-14, should have returned it within my 30 days but kept thinking it will get better, NO. I actually like to use water to wash my clothes!! BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher mdbh979sab1 on November 23, 2012. It is now July 31, 2014. One year and a half and the control panel is not working. Ive looked at estimates online of $450.00 for parts and labor. Customer service is no help at all, nothing they can do. She actually recommended KitchenAid for our next appliance. Maytag has become a terrible brand. We will never buy from them again. By the way, they also made our Jenn Air Oven, which turned itself on a number of times while we were away. 350 degrees. That was a total loss as well. We are filling up landfills with our Maytag/Whirlpool appliances and you will too.

Original owner of $800 HE top loader washer since 2010. We heard a grinding noise for months, then finally it seized up. Repairman quoted me $300 to replace bearings. The repair guy seemed a bit too eager for the job, so I knew it must have been easier than expected. I Googled the heck out of it, and used this forum heavily for guidance. Seems the bearing failure is a pattern issue. It also seemed ridiculously involved and no one had posted a how to video matching my model’s layout. I took a peek with my own eyes and noticed a sock had gotten under the basket. The sock got caught in the drive belt and knocked everything loose. I removed the debris, tightened the pulley and everything worked. Cost me $0 to fix myself. So buyers beware before repair. And check the error codes yourself when in doubt! The first thing I did was check error codes. Found a great video here **.

We purchased a high-end stainless steel interior/exterior unit in January 15. It is now July 15 and we have not been able to get any use out of it. Day 1 washer leaked. Full day off for service. Guy told us we were using the wrong soap. It leaked on the very next wash. Called again. They forgot to check the soap dispenser. Another service/day off. Leaked again! Another service call/day off. They replace the dispenser & seal. Now washer no longer leaks but the dishes are dirty and wet even days later. Another service call. Another new part. And now we are waiting for our 5th service call. We paid for a new unit and have a refurbished cobbled together piece of junk. Maytag stubbornly refuse to replace this unit.

I have a 4 year old Maytag refrigerator, model F2557HE, with French doors above and freezer below. The compressor is dying, which amounts to total failure of the fridge. Periodically the compressor tries to start, there is a whirring sound that lasts and lasts and repeats as the food defrosts. Then mysteriously hours or days later it starts to run again and the melted ice cube bin turns into an iceberg. The appliance repair company tried replacing the starter to no avail, and now tells me it is the compressor itself. Each time it stops, I transfer my food to the 30 year old Whirlpool in the garage which still works fine.

Omg I am so shocked at all the complaints about these refrigerators.. I too bought refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Lowes after a storm just about destroyed our home. I was so excited to have such a beautiful refrigerator and new kitchen...but shortly after it started freezing on the bottom of freezer and leaking all over. My new floors and kitchen cabinet are ruined. Every other day we have to break up ice and clean it out from freezer.. it still then leaks.. several family members have slipped and hurt themselves. Please if anyone knows how to get it fixed without it costing us a fortune let us know. Maytag (Whirlpool) knows it is a defect... Why will they not fix it? I cant afford a new refrigerator and shouldnt have to after only two years.. If a class action comes up.. please contact me. Shame on them...

We bought the Maytag Aqualift cooktop about a year ago & are continuously dissatisfied with it, for several reasons: 1) the cooktop is a huge nuisance to cook on. The burners are either raging hot (causing boil-overs), or too cool to simmer. The boil-overs then require much cleaning with an expensive cleaning agent. 2) the oven, whether you use regular or convection, underheats - so you can’t tell how long the cooking or baking process will take, & you have to monitor the cooking process. 3) the so-called self-clean is a joke; the oven will not be clean unless you crawl inside & clean it manually. Overall, I’d prefer to toss this range in the trash. I’m a good cook, but I get angry every time I use this expensive, poorly- designed product.

These machines have lots of service problems, although Im not familiar with the newer models. The function and the features are adequate, and typical. And overall, again, I have no complaints other than shortly after purchasing, there was a circuit board recall for these machines, and fortunately, I had a repairman who knew of the issue, and guided me to a cost free fix. Overall, it has served the purpose well of cleaning my clothes in a decent fashion.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in 9/2006. I was happy with it until 12/10 when it smoked and almost caught fire in the middle of the night! Luckily, I have a GFI circuit breaker and it shut the dishwasher off before it burned my house down. After researching on Google, I found out that my dishwasher had been recalled as a fire hazard, and I was never notified by Maytag. I called Maytag from my house phone and the automated system knew my name and address immediately just by me calling -- so they could have easily notified me but they chose not to.I ended up getting a voucher to purchase a new dishwasher (model: MDB7709AWB2). The one year warranty has literally just expired, and the Start/Resume, and the Cancel/Drain buttons no longer work. The replacement parts from Maytag cost $212.37, and that price does not include the price to get it installed from a service technician -- add on another $100-$200 depending on where you live. This is a known problem, and seems to repeat yearly! Another annoying thing about this dishwasher is the wheels on the racks. They dont glide easily and they constantly get off the track. I hate this dishwasher and I will never purchase another product from Maytag/Whirlpool/Jenn-Air again!

Overall- I think washers aren’t made to last like they once were. Growing up- we had the same washing machine while living at home. It seems now- they only last 10 years if you are lucky. They should make more longer lasting machines.

Bought this machine summer of 2018 when my old washer went out. This machine is impressive looking but that’s about it. Clothes don’t get clean. Half the time they don’t even get wet! I’ve had to wash sheets two or three times to get them clean and wet. When washing jeans there is always lint and white debris on them when the wash cycle is done. I’ve tried all different settings, I’ve tried different detergents always the same problem. Wish I’d never laid eyes on this model at Lowe’s last summer. Gotta say, worst purchase of an appliance I have ever made. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this piece of junk!

HORRIBLE. Dont pay more for substandard machines. Had a Maytag washer and dryer delivered on March 27th 2018 and it has been a nightmare to get it to start up. Now I have clothes stuck in there. I called Home Depot, you should never buy any appliances from them, they wash their hands of all responsibility once you sign for it. Called Maytag. On hold for almost 10 minutes, they only have 2 certified repairmen in the area 0f 600,000 people. Will be 5 days until they come to look at it. I told them I wanted to return it for a GE or something else. They said I had to contact Home Depot yet Home Depot told me it was Maytags problem. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Replaced an old Glenwood gas stove with this Consumer reports top rated Maytag. The boiler doesn’t work as well as we’d like, but after more than 20 years, no major issues. My wife & I both cook, & as with most things, I’m happier with it than she is.

Maytag Centennial - It came with the house. I think its a line made special for rent-to-own kind of places. I cannot stand the washer. It will not take fabric softener unless its in the ball and if you use extra rinse you dont get to use fab softener at all. (I like liquid fab softener on some things). Why it doesnt have a dispenser is beyond me. And the bleach dispenser is poorly designed, too close to the tub and splashes every time. Ive had this six months and would get rid of it in a heartbeat if I could afford to. Plus it snags towels. The washer is crap. And its a Maytag. I wish it would break so I could justify buying one that has some decent features like fab soft dispenser, bleach dispenser that doesnt splash, drum that doesnt snag.

I have trusted Maytag for many years, more than 60 years, my parents and then myself. My Dad always told me I could trust Maytag over any other brand and that has always been true until I bought a new Centennial Econoserve Washer. This is without question the worst machine ever made. I should have asked every question in the book concerning this machine but, oh no, I just trusted the name MAYTAG. I am so sorry. I cant trust it to clean anything that shows it needs cleaning so you have to wonder what does it clean that you cant see. Im sorry people, I just dont know what to do. Maytag Bravo Washer - I recently purchase a fairly expensive washer built by Maytag. In my opinion it is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Again in my opinion their advertising about being such a reliable company should be considered false advertising, and near criminal. If you had a lower rating I would use it. Absolutely you should never use the word Bravo in a description of this washer. I will never purchase a Maytag appliance again. Check the internet for reviews before you purchase. I had just came out of surgery and in a wheelchair and trying to move back home and didnt do my homework.

Maytag washer, model# mvwp575gw0, which is under warranty. This washer is less than one year old. Within the first couple months the transmission leaked oil and service tech had to replace the transmission. A few months later – another problem, clothes wet after spin cycle - tech told me the agitator base and/or couple parts need replaced. Quality control appears to have been lacking at the factory when this washer was made. This house has only one person presently. The washer was not abused.

I moved into this house and the dishwasher came with it. For an appliance that is over 8 years old it works beautifully. It cleans my dishes well and doesnt leave residue on them. I ran it through a cleaning cycle recently and that has only improved its performance. I recommend dishwashers by Maytag because they last and perform well.

I went to Home Depot in Kennesaw, Ga to purchase new W&D combo. I had found what I wanted but when the sales went to complete my order, the units I selected werent available. She talked me into the Maytag Bravo, but I specifically stated I needed a large tub because I wash a lot of towels and sheets. Well this expensive piece of shhh, doesnt even get all the items wet. Ive had to lift the lift and physically flip items in tub, especially with towels and sheets. Also, the washer is loud, did I say loud, I mean freaking loud. The dryer is fine, but I bought combo for a reason... Pricetag $1200.00 with my discount. I waited a week for delivery, I am mad as hell. Whats point of having large tub, when you barely get enough water. Luckily I found out now, so I can have them pick this CRAP UP, Do not buy. Theyre cute looking, but washer does not get your clothes clean.

We are extremely frustrated with this machine. It takes an extremely long time to go through the cycle, compared to past washing machines, even when it is working. It rarely completes the cycle and often goes back to wash and stops. We have no way of knowing if it washed or rinsed or what. To get it to finish, we have to turn the dial to drain and spin. The clothes always come out tightly twisted and tangled up and have to be untwisted and items pulled from each other....so they are extremely wrinkled! This is the first and last Maytag product we will ever buy. We HATE it!!! I would say it has been a lemon from day one but Home Hardware was no help when we complained. We tell everyone to stay away from this product.

Hello, I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer model MVWX655DW from the Home Depot in June of 2017. I can provide the receipt. Within 6 months I had a broken lid switch and the unit would not move through the cycles. Luckily, I had the ability to replace the lid switch at the cost of about $100 just for the part. The repair was fairly involved. This summer, the unit failed to agitate, upon much research, I learned the washer drive hub (which makes the washer agitate and spin) was worn out. It was made of plastic and it is quite a job to get the cover plate off and to replace this part which ranges in price from $20-$45. This is a fairly difficult job and I would not recommend it to most people. It should not be needed in a 3 year old machine. Upon inspection of the drive shaft teeth when I took the washer apart, I found the steel teeth to have significant wear. Why? Now, in mid-November, same issue, the plastic drive hub is worn out again! I was told maybe my shock absorbers for the drum needed to be replaced as the drum may be shaking too much. My previous washer was good for 18 years and I replaced it with this highly recommended model Maytag with the chrome basket. This is absolutely the worst appliance I have had and with every repair, I viewed many, many people with the same complaints and feeling that Maytag should issue a recall on these machines. I will be contacting Maytag and Home depot with my review. The HD installer also stripped the plastic valve one of the water hoses goes on that I had also to replace. A $40 dollar part. This took some disassembly but not as bad as replacing the drive hub every three months. Needless to say, I have to buy a new machine after 3 years of unreliability with his machine. A waste of $500 + of my hard earned money. Very, very disappointed. If I wasnt mechanical and able to fix this washer, it would have cost me hundreds in repair bills. I have receipts of the parts I have purchased for this unit. I hope your experience is better if you have owned one of these machines. Maybe I just got a bad one but many people have complained about this model so I dont believe I am alone. I hate to see good people spend their money on poorly constructed machines. Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - My machine is 3 yrs old and started making a very loud noise on the spin cycle. My last Maytag lasted 18 yrs and all my appliances have always been Maytag. I believe it now when Im told that Maytag does not make good quality washers anymore.

Purchased 2/13. Used maybe 3 times per week. Panel has gone haywire 6/14. 3 months out of warranty. Confirmed, bad control panel. We need class action lawsuit. This is ridiculous! We have had this refrigerator (Maytag Side By Side Refrigerator with Ice Dispenser 27 CU) for 5 years this month and have already had to have it serviced once and now the ice dispenser just went out. I wish there was a brand out there that did not have problems and when problems occur, you do not get the runaround to get them fixed!

After two years of dealing with this awful washer, I felt compelled to write a review. I have had $50 rebuilt washing machines, as well as new ones from the bargain aisle. They worked very well for us. But when it was time to purchase a new one, we wanted a washer with a larger capacity and ended up with this boobie prize. Honestly, whoever designed this washing machine should be ashamed. I cannot believe it made it past the testing stage! Blankets and quilts roll into a ball and never get clean, detergent gets trapped inside this ball of doom, the simplest dirt on clothes survive the cycles, and forget trying to clean stains. I scrub them out, then use the rinse cycle. JUST AWFUL!!! Honestly, this is THE WORST and most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Stay away from it.

I did not purchase it. This range came with my home. The electric range works great. It is thorough and I dont have to worry about the gas being on and filling the house up. Electric may not be for everyone, but it is the way to go for me. I will look for similar if not the exact same make/model if a replacement is necessary. I dont mind spending a little extra to ensure the product will last. So many products dont last nowadays and it is sad. I am not an avid cooker, actually I tend to mess up a lot of food recipes but the electric range helps me to reduce the number of problems I run across with the durability and accountability of the product. It cooks throughout the entire dish/pan and I have never had a problem with the unit working properly, just the user not working properly. Haha.

I have had my Maytag refrigerator for eight years and it is best one I have had in fifty years. It is dependable, quiet running and easy to maintain. The ice maker is wonderful; it always has ice ready even on the hottest summer day. If and when I ever need to purchase another refrigerator, I wouldnt hesitate to buy another Maytag!

I bought Washer and Dryer Pair new less than 2 years ago. Within 6 months of purchase, the bearing went - warranty. Then 1 week before one year old, bearing went again. I contacted Maytag. They told me it was my problem and I should have bought extended warranty. Lemon law should apply and I asked about appeal process and was told that there is no such thing. Now, the washer is needing a new pump and it is not even 2 years old!

In 2011 we purchased a complete appliance grouping at Home Depot by Maytag to include the dishwasher. For some reason we neglected to purchase an extended warranty on the dishwasher. Lo and behold in 2013 our control panel went bad and the cost to repair it was almost as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Thinking this was a fluke we were dumb enough to purchase another Maytag from Home Depot due to the loyalty made in the USA. Well here we are 2015 not even a full two years later the control panel started acting funny a few days ago and yesterday just plain old QUIT. Fortunately we were wise enough to purchase an extended warranty plan on this dishwasher so tomorrow we will be calling the repairman. Unfortunately Maytag has never solved the problem that has been occurring for at least 5 years and continues to sell this product to unsuspecting schmucks like us who try to be true to the made in the USA slogan. Maytag is the worst washer company. I owned my washer for two years and I had two different problems with it and now I have a 3rd. The first was the same day they delivered the washer, I needed a wire harness. I should have returned it then but I didnt. The 2nd was six months after the first one. A wire came loose due to the washer shaking and the 3rd, Im not sure why it wont drain but the tub is full of water. I called Maytag and they really didnt care as long as they got their money. They referred me to three companies that fixes washer. Two of three was already out for this washer. If I didnt know any better I would think Maytag gets paid off for every customer they referred to these companies. I would never buy another Maytag Bravo or Whirlpool product. Im very dissatisfied with their Bravo washers. They lost a long time customer.

This dishwasher has an electronic control panel that is faulty. Within one year of purchase, the control panel shorted out. It was replaced under warranty. Almost exactly a year after that, the same part failed for the same reason. This time, Maytag refused to replace it for free since it was out of warranty. A new control panel would have cost over $250. Disappointed with this Maytag product and their refusal to replace an obviously defective part, I decided to buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. Also, it did not make sense to me to spend that kind of money to replace a part that would continue breaking every year. AVOID Maytag dishwashers with electronic control panels!

I bought our Maytag HE washer model #MVWC565FW back in July 2019 after having owned a Kenmore scratch and dent washer from Sears for approx 25 years, and in just one month of using it I knew it was a mistake. There are only 2 water levels - deep water (full tub) or practically no water (though there are a number of settings, there is no difference in water level, its just full drum or very very little water). The auto-sensor water level option is a joke - there is barely enough water to wash anything - its like going back hundreds of years to washing and beating your clothes on rocks. Items in the washer become so tangled it sometimes takes a while to detangle before placing in the dryer. Water stops filling the tub when lid is open - I can no longer wash and rinse delicates while the drum is filling. It took 3 calls w/ Customer Service to get an ADDITIONAL lid latch that I can use to trick the machine to thinking the lid is closed - I keep the actual lid open, then stick in the lid latch I bought - take it out when Im done hand rinsing. This also enabled to to view the washing in action - IT DOES NOTHING! Clothes stay in the same place as you placed them in the tub - they dont move, they dont wash - and I bought a washer with an agitator - that is in quotes because it is a misnomer with this brand! The wash cycles ARE SO LONG it takes all day to wash a few loads of laundry. Once you select a setting YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT - the washer empties and stops, then you have to start all over again - ENERGY AND WATER EFFICIENT...REALLY???? What a bunch of you know what! This is the most inflexible piece of junk I have ever had the displeasure of owning. I have to keep jugs of water on hand that I keep filling up to at least have a bit of water. When I called Cust. Svc. at the beginning telling them my experience - the person on the phone had nothing to contribute - they couldnt even tell me what cycles might fit my needs - they told me to go back to Home Depot and ask someone there! WORST APPLIANCE WORST COMPANY.

I am, was, a loyal Maytag owner. The Bravos design, center hub, catches the clothes and rips the material. Customer service will only state damaged material is not warrantied. So I now have a washer that in addition to washing clothes rips them.

I would never buy a Maytag dryer again. It has been serviced 3x since purchasing in 2010.

Bravo XL - I purchased this dryer in June 2012. In October, the first thermostat was replaced, again in February 2013 and two within a week from March 8th and March 12th. I was told it was my vent. However, the appliance continually showed venting good. I was told to have it cleaned. I did and it is documented that there was great air flow before and after and only a handful of lint collected. I have spoken with Whirlpool and no one will have the integrity or courage to say it may be a faulty unit. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. I had spent nearly $5,000.00 in Whirlpool appliances in June of 2012. I feel they will cover any issues until the warranty is completed, and then the problems are mine and at my expense.

Re: refrigerator model # MBF2258XEB1. The above-referenced refrigerator was purchased in 2011 from Home Depot. We paid over $1,000.00 thinking we were buying a good product. Right now the bottom freezer is working but the refrigerator is not cooling. An appliance repairman cleaned out the defroster part, but that did not resolve the problem. He said it was a compressor/valve gas line problem. I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to have this repaired. Even though the warranty has expired, I believe that Maytag should pay the cost of the repair. This is VERY inconvenient and frustrating.

We purchased a Maytag washer model MVWC400XWO almost 2 years ago and it has problems with the bearings and the whole computer board is defective. I was told to buy the extended warranty for $350, which we did. As of today, we were told by extended warranty they are refunding our money because there are so many things wrong with this washer, including the whole computer board, that it would cost them too much to fix or replace it. Im in complete shock. We paid well over $500 and are still making payments on it. I spent the day reading hundreds of reviews from people with these exact same problems and Maytag is aware of it and will not help. They should not be selling these anymore. Im completely sick to my stomach. I cant afford another washer and when I called Maytag, they said it was past the year and we are out of luck. I cant believe this can happen to people and they get away with it. A washer should last longer than 2 yrs.There are hundreds of people going through this with Maytag and no one will help.
