The machine can clean even king size quilts, and clothes come out very clean. It is a front load and there are no problems with odors. There are many cycles to choose from. Cycles spin gently enough while getting out most of the moisture.

My Maytag dishwasher will not come on and it is loaded. The control panel is out for the third time.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer unit from Lowes 3 years ago. The idler pulley failed causing a squealing noise every time we turned it on. It had to be replaced along with a new belt. The washer failed to work shortly after that. It had error codes that Maytag could not give me information about. These were both higher grade commercial units. We hoped they would last longer than 3 years without having major repairs. We also have had to install two lid switches for the washer in that same time span. Quality has been very poor and customer service has been worse. I will never buy another one of their products again.

Stainless steel 2 door refrigerator with a bottom drawer freezer. Good space in both. Finish is almost fingerprint free. I bought 5 appliances at the same time so pricing was very good.

I bought a new Maytag Quiet Series 300 in 2005 and have had nothing but problems with it. The internal plastic pieces that hold dishes in place have broken off regularly. The door handle also broke. The dishwasher does not drain all the way every time. Now, the dishwasher will quit randomly before finishing its cycle. Our model (MDB7600 AWB) was not part of the recall, but is a lemon nonetheless. Of course, all of this occurred after our one year warranty had expired. This dishwasher is a lemon and a waste of $400. Well never buy another Maytag product.

Bought Maytag Electronic Washer and Dryer on Feb. 7th 2020. On July 10th control board went out in dryer. 3 weeks without a dryer and hanging clothes in 112-118 degree weather in Arizona. I am 77 years old and too old for this. Dont buy Maytag!!. Had Whirlpool Washer and Dryer for 22 years. Never a problem, regret buying a Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag microwave oven on July 22, 2011. It was delivered August 2. Model no. MMV4203DW, serial no. CK01001086. I paid $279 at Lowes Spokane Valley WA. I made a family brand name dinner for six in the original black carton, put the rack into the microwave, followed all the directions as the microwave was new. The carton melted inside and burned a place where the rack had rested. This melted before the time was up. I had followed all the directions. This was the first incident that was a problem. Next incident was a large bag of popcorn (microwave has two settings for popcorn--large or small). This burned the bag black before the allowed automatic setting. Third incident was another bag of popcorn, which resulted to a fire. I tried putting it out with a large lid, which now has permanent black smoke stains. The fire was so hot I could not remove the popcorn bag. I had to use two pancake spatulas to throw it outside where it continued to have flames and burned itself out. The next fire was with a baked potato. This was set for a regular potato setting. This fire was great flames. I tried putting this out with salt and a pan lid. I also removed it with a large metal strainer, an Asian type which is large, and used another spatula to scoop the flaming potato and took it outside while it continued to burn. This time the microwave burned itself out. All lights would not function so I unplugged it from the outlet. I have repeatedly told Ava that I had previously owned a Kenmore convection microwave and the only time I used the rack was when I baked something. She continued to ignore this and said that I used the rack to make popcorn, baked potato, etc.

My clothes sometimes come with white spots on them. My clothes are very twisted. I would LOVE to have Maytag replace my washing machine so I could again sing their praises!!!

The ice maker in my Maytag French door refrigerator quit working 11 months after purchase. It was replaced under warranty, but again quit working 12 months later. That one was replaced at my cost, and lasted another year. It was again replaced at my expense and that lasted two years. I am now back to the dark ages of filling ice cube trays. I have been reading reviews, and find I am not the only one who has had problems. My letter to customer service was responded with a sorry about your luck letter. I would never purchase another Maytag appliance.

We like the refrigerator and we have had it several years. But the thing the top freezer conceals much of the top rack of refrigerator. We must duck and almost kneel to get to food inside. Next fridge will have drawers and doors that open on both sides.

I bought this washer less than 4 years ago and its already broken (leaking from the basket). Maytag refuses to honor their warranty and is charging $400 to send someone out to fix it even though it specifically says in the warranty that the basket is covered. When I mentioned this to the rep, I was told that does not apply to all washers. I expected better service from Maytag and thought it was a reputable company. I will now have to purchase another washer, rather than spend $400 to fix this one. It definitely will not be a Maytag!

We purchased Maytag microwave (MMV4205DH1) less than two years ago. Within the first year, the microwave would not work and we would see an Open and Close Door message. We had it repaired and now 10 months later it is doing the same thing. The cost of repairs is high--the same as a new microwave. We have been inconvenienced throughout the holidays by our broken appliance. Disappointed.

Unbeknownst to us, our Maytag Refrigerators (MFD2561KES) ice maker developed a problem with the fill hose which connects to the back of the refrigerator, causing it to pop off. The hose had been leaking water onto our wood floor causing all of the boards under the refrigerator and 6 feet in front to buckle. I cannot see why Maytag did not use a compression fitting instead of using a squeeze type hose clamp. Plus the ice maker has left a large sheet inside the freezer on the bottom. I use the ice maker daily to fill my cooler for work.We also have a Maytag Dishwasher which has a push button panel in front which has decided to give out as well. Not to mention our Maytag Double Oven which has never been able to close properly since we have had it. (The service man said that there is nothing wrong with it). We bought our house 7 years ago and my wife wanted nothing but Maytag because of our experience in the past. I gave up buying american automobiles years ago and I guess the same will happen when I replace these appliances (after I finish paying for my new floor).

I purchased my Maytag side by side refrigerator 11/2011 and by 3/2012 the compressor went out flooding my pool house floor. Maytag replaced the entire fridge because I was only a few months old. I bought the 2 year extended warranty, went down to the pool house (which has central heat and air) and the compressor has gone out again! The results leaving my baseboards molded! My warranty went out 3/17/2015 and Maytag is helping NONE! The only thing they have to say is you can buy a new repair one warranty for $363 to repair for one year. I have had this refrigerator for 3.5 years and now this is the second time its gone out! Customer service said, pool house is different than a regular kitchen. I told her that the pool house is 1,000 sq heated/cooled kitchen, bathroom, sitting room. Thats no different than some houses. Why would that make a difference?? My parents have a 30 year old fridge on the back porch thats still running! I will NEVER purchase another MAYTAG product! Stainless side by side with ice maker.

Our Maytag dishwasher is a work horse. Never a problem just runs and runs. Could be a little quiet quieter. But does a t great job cleaning. I would definitely buy another one and would recommend it to any one.

I bought a Maytag washer January 2016. We recently had a issue with it so I logged onto the Maytag website and found a service provider to come see what was wrong. I had to pay a $100 fee for them to come out and look at it. I was told that the transition went bad. The parts were under warranty however I would have to pay for labor, which would be $325. Called Maytag and was told because I did not purchase an extended warranty there was nothing they could do about the labor. I can buy a new washer for $500 why would I spend $325 to fix? Already lost a $100 for them to come out to tell me what was wrong. Completely not right. A washer should last more then 4 years! Do not buy any Maytag produces. Will not last!

Maytag is a reputable company and my centennial washer has been going strong for over 6 years. My only complaint is that if it gets slightly scratched by objects placed on top temporarily, it starts to rust there.

Maytag Model # MMV4205DS - First Maytag microwave lasted just over a year before it quit. Replaced with same model to avoid install hassle and 1 year and 4 months later got the dreaded open and close door message. Read so many horror stories about repair service for Maytag that I decided not to bother and purchased a GE. I will never ever, ever buy anything Maytag ever again...

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I would have bought a new dishwasher for that price, but I was already in for almost $200.00. They dont give you prices upfront.

I purchased a stainless steel (freezer bottom) Maytag refrigerator Model # MFI2670XEM0 in Oct 2012. Since then its been a nightmare. The repairman has been out four times, once being a week after I purchased it. It leaked and ruined my kitchen floor. Call Maytag, they didnt want to hear about it. As of this moment, I have three more things broken on the unit. My ice maker literally takes 3 days to make ice, the alarm on the door is broken, and the plastic crisper cracked and now will not stay in. Called Maytag again and they stated that they will not replace the item with one of equal value. They just keep repairing it. I will NEVER EVER buy another Maytag product again. I spent $1700 on this product and had faith in the Maytag product. That will never happen again. Shame on Maytag for not standing behind their products.

I purchased this set of Maytag Centennial Washer and Dryer from my local Home Depot in Dec. 2011. I havent had a repairman come out yet, but I am extremely dissatisfied with them. The washer is a problem because it doesnt seem to fill up with enough water to wash the clothes. Also if you want to add something to the washer that you forgot you stop it, and go to restart it again, and it starts removing all of your soap and water again. This is a waste of money, if you cannot stop it and start it again without it filling up again. I would not recommend anyone buying this HE washer & dryer. Also the dryer seems to heat up too hot to me.

This is probably the worst place ever to buy any appliances. They are extremely unreliable and the technology on them sucks. If you wanna buy new appliances I highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere. The customer service is extremely horrible and is a disgrace. Shame on this company. They lie about when they will repair your stuff too, so dishonest and I hate this company.

Oven is not even 2 yrs old but, the bottom oven floor lining is crackled & flaking. Although they say the cavity is covered under the 10 yr warranty, they say its not covered. Basically told me theres nothing they can do for it. I bought all Maytag appliances for my new home because they claim they stand behind their product. The 10 yr plaques on the appliances are a joke. So disappoint.

Two months after my warranty expired, the motor burned out on my dishwasher. I called Maytag to see what they would offer, but they would only offer a discount on the actual part. I was so angry I was ready to buy a new dishwasher and forget about them...but I dont have that kind of cash to throw away. After going 5 weeks without a dishwasher (first-world problem) I paid for the part and a repairman to come and fix the dishwasher. Now 3 months later, the touch panel wont work. I purchased this five-burner gas stove two years ago. I have this stove repaired three times. The first and second problem with the stove is when I turned on the oven, it would never click on. This was a month after I purchased the stove. They sent someone over to correct the problem and that did not work. The third time someone came. He changed something in the oven and it started to work. After that, I continue to have trouble with the oven. When I have the top eyes on, the oven will not work. When I only turn on the oven, it will go to 350 only. It will cook for an half hour and then cut off. I smell gas in my house and my food is smelling like gas. I have stop using the oven. I did not purchase a stove to not use the oven. This is totally ridiculous!!! I am tired of this situation. Maytag needs to recall these ovens, so I can purchase an oven that works. I have thrown food away because it smells like gas - because the oven will cut off in the middle of cooking. I am very tired of this situation and when you call Maytag, their customer service is terrible. I will never buy Maytags products again. Please help.

Maytag topwasher 2011 model MVWB300WQ2, SERIAL C11271134 - Im from the old school, expecting to get my money worth. I purchased a Maytag Bravos automatic washer in 2011, now less than 5 years later, it has a very loud knocking noise during the draining and spin cycles.

Have owned washer and dryer for one year. Liked the styling, basic functions and the manufacturers reputation. Also liked the fact that there was a rebate on the pair. We bought the entry level Maytag pair from Lowes. Lowes delivered the units quickly. Thats the good news. The BAD news is (they) dont tell you when you buy the unit that you have to buy and use special detergents. One of the cycles on the dryer stopped working within ten weeks. But the REAL thing we hate about these is the fact that they are built out of PAPER-THIN METAL. If you push on it hard with one finger you will have a permanent dent. They proudly display American flag stickers on the units proclaiming Made In the USA. They should be more concerned about the quality of their construction. A local appliance salesman told us that twenty years ago (these) appliances would commonly last fifteen to twenty years. Today you are lucky to get five or six years (But then they get to sell you another, and another, and another).

All I can say is, Wow. My Maytag washer and dryer have never needed anything in 21 years of service. Purchased in 1997 at Lowes in Chambersburg, PA. Both work and look like new! Both are top of the line units. Would buy again!

I have a new Centennial Maytag dryer. What a horrible sound it makes when the time is up!!! I had another Maytag dryer for 19 years and it did not sound as obnoxious as this new one. HELP!! I can tell some man invented it.

We bought a Maytag Bottom Freezer Model MBB1952HEW in 2006. We have already replaced the relay, two years ago, now the compressor is going. I have seen recalls of the top freezer on the internet but not on the bottom freezer. It is concerning when you pull your refrigerator out from the wall as to how warm/hot it is back there. We were told it would be cheaper to buy a new refrigerator versus replacing the compressor. We are so disappointed in how much money we have stuck into this refrigerator for how old it is. I would expect a refrigerator from a reputable company to last longer than 6 years.

Maytag, Whirlpool, and Sears are junk dealers. We bought a Maytag Bravo topload washer in April 2011. Shortly after the first year, after using it once weekly, it began to stop draining. Clothes were soaked, meaning lots of wringing out by hand and using the dryer double time to get them dry. There are no clogs or kinks in the line. The machine is junk! It should have lasted much longer than this. I am not going to spend more money to have a repair person come and check on it. Its not worth it. Im going to buy a GE washer, the old-fashioned kind that gets clothes clean. Maytag, Whirlpool, and Sears are much worse-off breeds these days. They are off the list for good. Their products are a joke. Unfortunately, Im not laughing, but close to tears. Enjoy my money, you **.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator about 3 years and have had so much trouble. The freezer section which is on the bottom half leaks water periodically on the floor unless, we take the bottom rack out and pry the ice from the shelf about every week. It started doing this about 6 months ago and well need to get a repair man out here. The doors on the refrigerator are also a problem. They often dont close properly, so one is partially open, but unless you look directly at it, it isnt noticeable.

My washing machine is 2 1/2 years old. It is not overused, just 2 people in the household. Maytag wanted to sell me a contract for $320, I declined. After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

This dishwasher works great with regular plates and glasses but not so well with my plastic bowls or cups. Im trying different detergents to see if it makes a difference on how clean the dishes are when done.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL Top Loading Washer and matching dryer in 2013. I had a repairman out to install a new screen on the dryer because the lint was spilling over into the surrounding area. The new screen has been catching most of the lint, but I still have to vacuum the surrounding area after a few loads. Also, I have to turn the dryer on two (2) cycles in order to dry most of the clothes, and the machine makes a lot of noise. Those are minor problems compared to the washer. It constantly tears holes in my towels and wash clothes. I NEVER put in a full load because the water level is so low, and it does not clean the clothes. It takes a long time to go through cycles and it is EXTREMELY noisy.I called Maytag and they said that they never heard of the problem of creating holes in towels and wash clothes, and wanted to charge me over $100 to have a repairman come out. They also said that the repairman might not find anything wrong. I feel that the washing machine is very hard on the clothes - like the salesman at Lowes said It’s like beating the clothes against a rock. The washer and dryer are JUNK, and I would not recommend these to anyone! I would trash them, but they were very expensive and we cannot afford to buy new at this time.

I have owned this washer for 3 years and purchased it to match the Centennial Dryer and because of its advertised commercial grade components. The washer has just now turned 3 years old and has never been abused but I have been told the drum bearings are going out.

This Maytag dishwasher works great if you are using as a sanitizer for your dishes so long as the dishes were soaked already. It stinks if you do not use it often and requires a lot of bleaching.

Maytag, you left me disillusioned and disappointed. I used to believe you, trust you. How am I going to feed my kids without a fridge? I bought our side-by-side French door refrigerator a few years ago and even bought the extended warranty (which no longer is in effect, unfortunately). Yesterday, the refrigerator failed, We called a small local repair person who could be at my home in a couple of hours. He listened and said my compressor was out, a leak was probably in there too, and that it would cost about 900 dollars or more to repair. When I called Maytag to see what they thought, they said that because I called a non-Maytag assigned repair person (even though this small-business repair guy didnt even take apart the refrigerator), I could no longer get their repair plus one year warranty offer which runs 400 dollars. But there is nothing I see on their warranty page that says this. Here I was trying to help our local economy by calling a small mom-and-pop repair person who is known in our town and has a good reputation, but I guess that by doing that minor well-intentioned act, it goes against Maytag corporate policy. Wow, how foolish do I feel now? I feel ashamed to admit this, but I actually started crying when I was on the phone with their customer help rep and asked, Isnt there something that can be done? I was thinking to myself that two months after Christmas with three kids is a tough time to replace a 1300-dollar refrigerator. I offered to pay the 400 dollars to get the refrigerator fixed by a sanctioned Maytag official with their warranty, but that I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to call anyone else besides Maytag if my appliances broke down. I would have never called our small local guy if I had known that Maytag corporate had such a policy. She said that no, there was nothing that she could do, and that is what happens to customers who call a non-Maytag assigned repair person. I guess when this happens to your fridge, you ask your neighbors if they can keep some milk, lunch meat and cheese for you, at least until you can save up for another fridge. Thank goodness that dried pasta and Ragu sauce dont have to be refrigerated. There are also cans of peas and corn and dry cereal, so it should be okay.I cant express how absolutely disappointed I am with myself and with my purchase, and how this has soured me on everything Maytag. I feel like an idiot. Can you believe that I had actually scrimped and saved up for months to buy this Maytag refrigerator and the extended warranty (hah, just to be safe)? I had bought it because I thought Maytag was a reputable company and because it was supposed to help the environment with its energy saving technology. But dont you think that a $1300 refrigerator should last more than 7 years (Believe it or not, this newer Maytag fridge was replacing a 20-year-old fridge that I gave to my cousins and which is still running to this day!)? And to add insult to injury, I already had a major repair done 4 years ago on this same French door Maytag fridge when it was only 3 years old. Maytag should offer to come out and fix their mess, but all I received when I called Robin, the supervisor, at their Tennessee call center was a, Sorry, there is nothing that I can do and there is no one else that you can speak to, and Nope, there is no one at corporate that you can call for help either and I have no advice to offer you. I can give you a mailing address though, if you like. I think I did hear pity in her voice, so that was some comfort. Pity from a call center supervisor, think about that! How awful it must be for her if that is all that she can offer to the desperate people who look to her for guidance! I actually felt sorry for her after I hung up the phone. It must be terrible to know that the company that you work for is probably mistreating its customers and all that you can offer is an Im sorry. I wonder how often someone says a rosary for her and her workers taking on those endless calls for help. How often does she cry herself to sleep after a day of that?I really dont like complaining online and I rarely do it, but this experience was just so awful and hopeless that I feel I had to say something to save other people pain and money. I hope that everyone learns from my miserable Maytag mistakes and please pass on my experiences to all of your friends and family. Those big tax refund checks will be coming soon, and I know that a lot of people upgrade their appliances with that money. Please, please think twice before you buy anything Maytag. I would feel better if I knew that people could learn from my stupidity. Remarkably, I was once gullible enough to trust and believe in American-made Maytag - goodness, was I wrong to do that. I am considering Facebooking my friends and family to let them know what happened and save them the heartache too. It is quiet and cleans well but thats where it ends. We have had it a little over a year now, after just a few months it started leaking, fixed under warranty. Now one of the upper rack tracks is broken, it was held together with three very flimsy welds, hopefully will be getting it fixed soon. We are going to wait and see what other kind of repair it will need, I think we would have been better off to just buy a cheap dishwasher!

Maytag Bravo model MVWB750WQO. Bought this washer in 2009 for 1300 thinking it would last at least 10 years! Wrong! I loved it until a few months ago when it started making VERY LOUD noises during final spins. Sounded like the house was going to take off. Then today it started leaking water. Repairman said it needed a drum, seal and gasket. Would have cost 700-800 to fix. Needless to say we bought a new washer today, and it wasnt a Maytag!! For that much money I was expecting the washer to last a long time!

Model MFT2776FE200 worst purchase of my life! We purchased the Maytag French Door Refrigerator last year. Within a few months, freezer failed and we had to have a retrofit done. Less than one year it has failed again. No refrig for over one month and still no parts. Hundreds of dollars of wasted food and I’m asked by Maytag Service if I have an extended Warranty. I didn’t realized that a new refrig needed to have an extended warranty. Will NEVER purchase another Maytag product again. We are devastated that spending 3k on a fridge means you might as well throw your money to the wind.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher on June 2008. This new Maytag dishwasher replaced an older Maytag dishwasher that caught fire and was recalled (I found this out after calling Maytag). The new dishwasher (Model: MDB 5601 AWB) also had a recalled part (heater coil) in February 2011. Two months ago, (the unit is now 3 years old), the control board started malfunctioning (certain cycles no longer work). I called Maytag today (Aug 24, 2011) but I was told by a Maytag representative that there was nothing that they could do. After reading so many complaints, I am ready to file a class action suit. It seems that this company continues to perpetrate fraud against an unsuspecting consumer for they knowingly continue to manufacture defective products.

We purchased our Maytag Bravo XL in 2012. Over the past year and a half we noticed the inside of the top lid is rusting as well as the bleach dispenser area. I called Maytag about the lid and they said there was nothing they can do and that we could buy a new lid replacement. Really??? My parents had only Maytag in their home for over 50 years with little to no repairs needed ever! We were a family of five back then. Because my parents always bought Maytag products so did we. This is the first time in 40 years that I have ever seen this happen! I was hoping for a recall for these issues but dont find any online. The washer and dryer were not cheap and purchased from a reputable retailer.

In 2011, we purchased this Maytag Centennial MVWC200XW1 washer. It will not complete the cycle when it goes into rinse and spin, will not empty water and once the cycle starts, it sounds like someone is inside with a hammer banging on the basket. Clothes come out with a powder residue on them and several pieces have had holes. Called Maytag and was told there was no service available in our area. I will never purchase another Maytag product. Used by two adults a couple of times a week, this machine should be trashed. I have to hand-wring our laundry as we cannot afford to replace at this point. My last washer was a GE and I had it for over 20 years, we replaced it because we moved into a new home thinking Maytag was the best out there. I checked for a recall because there are so many complaints on other sites but found none. We purchased from Home Depot and of course, they are no help.

Like many others Ive read about online, our Maytag fridge model MFI2269VEW5 with bottom mount freezer has ice forming at the bottom of the freezer compartment. The ice then melts and runs onto the kitchen floor. At this point, I am able to prevent this leakage problem by removing the 1/2-inch layer of ice that builds up about once a week. Using a stiff plastic spatula, I am sometimes able to remove the ice in one large sheet but usually it breaks up and has to be removed in pieces. I have seen several videos online showing how this problem can be fixed but as a pensioner with limited income, I am sure the expense of a repairman would be prohibitive. I could likely make the suggested repairs myself but because of a knee replacement, I am not able to kneel for any length of time so that is out of the question. Besides, when we purchased this fridge 3 years ago, we expected it to run trouble free for the rest of our days. This is obviously a design problem and Maytag should be covering the cost for all repairs. However, it is a sad reality that Maytag and their owner, the Whirlpool Corporation is only interested in making a profit to satisfy their stock holders. They apparently only pay lip service to making quality products that last and customer satisfaction seems to be a thing of the past.

The washer gets mildew all the time no matter how much I use the tablets and yes keep door open. It still has so much. I scrub it and it keeps growing. Sometimes my clothes come out ripped also which is another frustration. Please help these two issues.

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

I bought this washer from Lowes in 2013. It worked okay for a little while but lately it stops mid-cycle. Clothes are soaked and all of the soap hasnt been rinsed out. Poor excuse for a washing machine! Will never buy a Maytag again!

My 14 month old Refrigerator made a popping noise and quit working. I called Maytag and I had to pay $299.00 for a Service Plan so the repairs would be covered under a warranty and A&E Factory Service came out to do the repair. The repairman told me the Circuit Board and Compressor were melted and he was surprised it didnt cause a fire. The repairman had to get authorization to order the parts for this repair because they were so expensive and he is not even sure if the repair will fix the refrigerator. It is going to take 2 weeks for the parts to come in which means I will be without a refrigerator for a total of 3 weeks and were not sure if this will fix the problem. I am being told by Assurance (the warranty company) that they have to replace the parts 3 times before they will replace the refrigerator. I asked them, Exactly how long do you expect me to go without a refrigerator before I get mine fixed or replaced? When I called customer service and spoke to Brittany she gave me her standard robotic answers. I asked to speak to a manager and she sent me to the never-ending hold zone. I called back and non manager was available but they took my name and number and assured me that someone would call me back. I am still waiting for that call.

My dishwasher is less than 2 years old. Dishwasher will go on when we are not in the house. Cant control the panel. The control panel lights all come, have to cancel to stop the machine. This could be a fire hazard.

Dishwasher cleans well, but the control console has failed again & only responds to two functions. After replacing the console a couple of years ago with a new unit I thought it was done (it didnt get much use). Is there any recourse for this complaint? All I want is a new console panel. Maytags brand is apparently only good on the commercials. Very disappointing. Also, the top rack is very awkward & is only good for short glasses etc.

We bought this washer before Christmas. I was very excited. However my clothes don’t come out clean. I am actually washing my white uniform with hands because each time I wash, dark scums remain on my clothes. I think that the machine sensor does not sense how much clothes are in there and how much water is required. This machine is very disappointing, it needs to be recalled. See pictures below.

We purchased our Bravos XL Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in November 2012. We also purchased the three-year extended warranty. I just replaced the washer today, and definitely NOT with a Maytag. We only spent that much on the Bravos XL set as we were heading into retirement and wanted to update our appliances. Maytag has always had a decent reputation, so we decided on this particular set.This washer was a terrible purchase decision. The drain hose had to be replaced due to leaking. We handled that fine. However, just past the extended warranty period, the main bearing went out. Also, the transmission was going out, and the washer was spewing nasty black fluid all over from underneath. The repair was going to be a minimum of $750.00 just for the bearing and tub assembly, and the repairman was honest and said it wasnt worth it, to just replace the washer. We didnt even discuss the transmission issue. We were more than a little disappointed in the duration of life out of this washer. I had my other washer for 20 years plus. Thankfully, and hopefully, the dryer will remain in good working order for some time.Being a senior, this was not the expected lifetime I was after out of a major appliance. I dont need this sort of expense every four years, or less as Ive read on these reviews. On average I do 2 to 3 normal sized loads of laundry a week at most. Not good Maytag, not good. If there ever is a class action suit in regard to these machines, Im interested!

Fridge model # MSF25D2EAB00. I have had the fridge 3 years and 2/3 shelves have crumbled to pieces, the compressor has gone, the ice bucket crumbled, the ice maker stopped working, once ice maker was fixed it got stuck on crush, and now I am trying to order another shelf because it has also crumbled like the rest and this is in a household of 1 person! I am just getting the run around... I have been redirected to 3 different numbers now (800-344-1274, 866-368-6478, and 877-468-2371) and now I had a rude customer service rep so I asked if I could speak with someone else and I am now on eternal rot on hold. Pretty sure he didnt even transfer me and Im just sitting on hold on his line while he is laughing. Time to hang up and try again another day. #un**believableI was also told that if I purchased the extended warranty plan that it would cover the crappy shelves in the future so I did and now they are telling me it doesnt cover them and it only gives me a discount on them. MAYTAG YOU OWE ME A NEW FRIDGE... THIS ONE IS A LEMON! We purchased a $500.00 Maytag dishwasher, Model #MDB7749SBW, in August 2013. In December 2014, a little over a year of owning it, the pump failed. We called Maytag and they had a service company come out and replace it. We paid $181.00 for this service call. In July 2015, the control panel failed so we called Maytag to see if they would replace it at their cost. All they are willing to do is to send another service guy out at our expense. The service call is $89.95 and that doesnt include the labor! The total with tax will be close to $200.00 again!!! Now we are getting close to spending $1,000 for this piece of junk! In addition, this dishwasher is only used three times a week because there are only two people living in our household. It is obvious after reading the other complaints that the control panels are defective and I am sure that Maytag is well aware of this issue. So, buyer beware. Dont even consider purchasing a Maytag dishwasher unless you enjoy watching your money flush down the toilet. They dont even deserve a 1 star rating!!!

In May of 2009, my husband and I bought a new Maytag refrigerator side-by-side, model MSD-2572VEW. The day we bought it, pieces started breaking. The shelves started cracking, and now they are completely falling apart. There are also cracks in the inside walls of the refrigerator. Every single door shelf, inside shelf and wall is falling apart. I have fixed the ice-maker myself several times. I am now going to design and build some new shelves so that we can get as much use out if it as possible before it is unusable. I am angry that a company can make such a horrible product and not have to take responsibility. If my employer ever provided a client anything but the best, we would all be out a job.

The worst washer I have ever purchased. Clothes DO NOT come out clean, smell musty after washing. Have even decreased the amount of clothing per wash. Cant use bulk load function: throws LF Code - Bad water valve. I will NEVER buy or suggest anyone buy this piece of JUNK! Then to top it off you have to constantly chase the machine around due to wash load becoming unbalanced. Now today have to contend with a burnt smell...

We spent $600 on a Maytag Jet Steam Plus dishwasher and its junk. We bought it in May of 2013 and the top panel is burnt out and the ribbon or control wires is corroded. Maytag wont pay for replacement parts and I wouldnt recommend anyone buy Maytag again. I thought it was supposedly a good brand but its nothing but garbage.

I am submitting this review today to express my disappointment with my Maytag washer. This is the Maytag MVWX655DW (Bravo), with Serial# C61842055. In August of 2016 I lost many treasured items due to a flood in Lafayette, Louisiana. My daughter and I were devastated and displaced because of this event. This is also in addition to completing Cancer treatment 2 days before the flood.I lost my GE washer which was a great product. It was a struggle for a long time, but we were finally get back on our feet. I was able to get another place to live, and it was time to purchase a washer. I was told that Maytag was one of the best products on the market, so I decided to purchase my first Maytag washer. This did not turn out well for me, and it was very disappointing. After 9 months of ownership of this product, it is broken! It is my belief that the product may have been defective.I put in a service call, and had a repairman come to my apartment on June 19th. I was told that my washer needs several parts to repair it, including a pump. I have never had this issue with prior washers. My previous washer before my GE purchase survived for over 10 years before it has had any issues. I called on June 26th to ask about Maytag issuing me a new washer or a full refund, instead of repairing this faulty product. I was told no, and was offered and extended warranty for 6 more months and $75.00. I expressed to her that I would rather have a new washer.The Bravo Washer is a very bad product. Instead of taking advantage of customers, Maytag needs to stand by that 10 year warranty sticker on the washer. Please understand this purchase is a LEMON. This washer did not last a year. After all I have been through, I did not need this financial hardship. In the long run, this product will die again. Unfortunately for me I may not be able to afford to purchase another washer. I am still getting follow-up treatment for my Cancer, and it is very expensive. Can someone please re-evaluate the need for a replacement washer or offer me a full refund? This product should not be broken after only 9 months of service.

In 2016 I purchased a matching Maytag washer and dryer. The reason why I purchased it because I was in a house and I no longer had a washer and dryer and I refuse to go to a laundry mat at the city to go to Nebraska Furniture Mart and it was a number of different washer and dryer combinations available. I had previously own a Samsung matching washer and dryer and it worked fine, my Maytag has dame of the same features and works great.

This dishwasher is at 10 years old, but is a real workhorse. This machine cleans like no other! Never worry about our dishes being clean. But we have replaced the seal once.

Oven racks falling down and theres appears to be no solution because the interior liner of the oven has warped. The 3rd party repair guys tell me the interior liner needs to be replaced, its not worth the repair cost, Im better off shopping for a new set. Its so unfortunately that this happened (we moved into this house with existing appliances that we cannot use...) and it seems to be a common problem, yet Maytag claims they have NOT received any complaints about this.

We bought our washer/dryer from Home Depot and felt Maytag was a good bet. Guess again. Washer is running fine for now but after light use (about 3 loads per week) dryer failed. With no warning, I heard a loud pop about 3 min into a cycle and overheating. If I hadnt been home might have caught on fire. Good for us we live close to a coin laundry so in no rush to replace but can bet when I do it wont be Maytag and thats too bad. One of the few makers still building in the USA but thinking Samsung is looking good. This is the Maytag 2000 series btw.

I purchased a Maytag Front-Loading Washing machine. It was purchased on 11/30/15. Approximately this January, 2017 the spin cycle stopped getting all the water out of the laundry. Towels came out wet, shirts came out wet and I tried washing a small bathroom rug that came out of the washer dripping with water. My husband called Maytag to tell them about this issue. They told him I didnt know how to load the washer machine. Wow, I have only been using washing machines for 45 years and now I dont know how to load a machine. Then they said they will send him a video to watch on how to load a washing machine. I watched it. I wasnt doing anything incorrectly. (Maybe someone should send them a video on how to build a proper washing machine.) I previously had a Maytag Neptune machine that lasted twenty years until there was a class action suit against the machine. The clothes came out fine from that machine. I just purchased an Electrolux front loader that works beautifully. Now I have a Maytag machine that is nothing but a piece of junk in my opinion. It cost $824.21. We purchased this machine (Bravos XL top load washer) in August and its been nothing short of a disaster. It doesnt clean anything. Within two washes my cloth diapers were unusable, loaded with ammonia and stains. Our camping clothes wreaked of smoke. I tried multiple cycles, more detergent, less detergent, larger loads, smaller loads. Doesnt matter. It doesnt clean. I called customer service within a week and waited 6 weeks for a service call. Into third trimester of pregnancy and recovering from an MVA, I was washing soiled clothing by hand in bathtub desperate for help. I only wish Id known about their 30 day money back guarantee. After many calls, no shows and cancelled appointments, the first tech comes. He tells me the machine is fine. They just dont clean well. Hes not surprised. I call the appliance shop, they said the same thing. That they wouldnt have sold me the machine if they knew I had dirty laundry to wash. (Who washes clean laundry?). They wont help us. We call Maytag back. They send another tech. He says the same thing. Tells us to keep complaining to Maytag. I call again and they tell me that if I want a service tech, I have to pay. Theyve deleted all my feedback from their social media site and refuse to provide any assistance. The machine is nice looking and makes big promises but thats where it ends. Save your money. Youll get better results with your grandmas washboard.

The Maytag washer is very quiet & economical by filling the amount of water needed per load so actually a money saver. Also got the huge drum to wash quilts & blankets. My old one lasted 10++ years. Hopefully get as many years out of the new one.

Purchased my Maytag Bravo MVWX500XWO 4 years ago. While still under warranty I had to call for service once. I felt based on the Maytag reputation I didnt need to extend the warranty. WRONG!! My Maytag first started with the loud and fast spinning. Like it was about to explode! Then my washer started leaking. I thought I was having plumbing problems, so I called a plumber... wasnt the plumbing. My washer wasnt draining out completely so I finally called an appliance repairmen who immediately knew what the problem was ($109.90) for a 15 minute review. The leak was from the bottom of the washer... the seal around the transmission cracked, broke or whatever causing water to drain out in my garage. Also the main control board wasnt working. Repairman said it would cost me $700 to repair!! Really?!! My machine was practically new! Without hesitation the repairman said for me to call the Whirlpool/Maytag 800 number and they would offer me another washer for 50% off at their online outlet. Repairman said this always happens... Why would I want another Maytag or Whirlpool!! Please do not buy the Maytag Bravo... Can you imagine if this happened with a car purchased... 4 years and then having to buy another car??!! Not reliable or worth your money!!

Purchased this washer from Saginaw, Michigan location in 2007. Started sounding like it was going to come through the wall of the laundry room so I contacted repair service. Told bearing was bad and that cost of repair would be $1,000.00 - literally laughed at repairman. I find it difficult to believe that a washer is built to last 7 years after paying so much for it.... My years of purchasing solely from Maytag have thus ended.

Dinner ruined again... I bought all brand new Maytag stove MERS755RAW, I can only use one area and that has cant move them, the racks fall through. I have burned myself time after time when attempting to pull the racks in or out. Friends arrived and when we pulled cooked dinner out the rack fell through and it was so hot I could not hold it causing the entire dinner to come crashing down and spilling everywhere. I along with my family cannot use it again. Can anyone assist or make a recommendation? New racks do not work as it appears that oven has expanded and the dimension have changed. Do they have a recall or safety repair bulletin?

Bought machine 03/23/15 exactly 2 yrs ago & machine will not work. It looks like the electric panel and which there are a lot of complaints about the panel, and the lid. It seems as its about the extended warranty now. The quality that Maytag advertises is lies. You buy the product and you have no choice but to purchase a warranty on your machine. Simple is better when it last 20 yrs over 2 yrs on a fancy machine. First electric panel machine washer with a horrible experience. It will cost 98 just to look at, that is not including parts and labor. Its 339.15 for a year warranty which equals over 300 per year for 3 years. Overpriced in all ways. Worse choice ever.

I agree with everyone else on here. I would give this Maytag Neptune washer less than 1 star if I could. I also purchased this washer 5 years ago when I bought a new house. According to their commercials, the Maytag repairman is bored because their products are so great. I believe it is because the cost to fix their merchandise when it breaks costs so much.I had a 5-year warranty on my purchase and this washer started making this awful noise but the company wouldnt repair it because it was not broken. However, here I am less than 5 months later, and the bearings are so bad, the tube is scraping and falling apart and leaving plastic pieces in my clothes. I have a 3 year old I dont need plastic pieces in my clothes. You know my husband just left me and I do not have the money to spend on the repair ($500-700) nor have the money to spend on a new washer. Thanks Maytag for your great and wonderful service!

My Maytag AquaLift Range MGR8880AS0 was given to me in September 2014. While the range top was excellent and gave me no problem, the so-called self-cleaning is a total joke. I do not do a lot of grease baking or broiling so I have not needed to clean the oven only twice. The first time was a total surprising astonishment. When I opened the oven immediately after the cycle was completed, the oven was not even 350 degrees, most of the water was still in the oven! This happened shortly after a family crisis (my husband became ill and died), so I did not do any inquiries regarding the cleaning failure. Today, January 24, 2018 I decided I would do my second cleaning. Wow, it was a total and complete failure. The oven was barely warm.I always had a Maytag washer, way back in the 1970/1980. My four children grew up with the Maytag, So, I think when one of my children decided to gift me with a new range after a change in location, the Maytag name was at the top of the list. Unfortunately, in 2014 Maytag was no longer what it had been way back in the olden days. The name Maytag does not stand for what it used to stand. End of my story. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get this off my chest. Since this was a gift, I do not have a receipt. However, I have an insurance renewal due advice (coverage expires 05/24/2018).

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher #MDB7749SBM1 as part of a complete kitchen remodel less than 3 years ago. Maytag was a great product years ago so I thought I would switch from GE to Maytag thinking that I had purchased a quality set that would give me years of great service! What a bad choice to say the least! This dishwasher has never dried the dishes completely with heated dry option. I never cared for the plastic latch and metal catch option either since I caught water dripping from the bottom since the door must not have been completely shut even though the latch was secure.Most recently, the start option on the flat control panel will not work. After opening and closing door multiple times I can get the start option to light up and run the cycle. Added bonus to start option not working correctly is that when the dishwasher door is shut, it automatically runs hours later with no human interaction. The dishwasher lights were lit up like a Christmas tree at 7 am this morning and running a cycle. Guess it thought the dishes werent clean enough. I am going to price out a board and determine whether I will throw this piece of crap in the dumpster and find a different brand! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DONT BUY A MAYTAG DISHWASHER!

Received this Maytag dishwasher model MDW7749SBW1 as a gift from my son in June 2013 when my old dishwasher finally quit. January 2014, the soap/rinse aid dispenser did not work. Called Maytag and they sent repairman who replaced the part. Still did not work so repairman said another part was not communicating with the dispenser so he replaced that part. Worked fine. No charge since it was under warranty. Now its July 2014 and the touch panel doesnt work. Called for repair and was told since it is out of warranty, it will cost about $350 to repair. I called Maytag about this and said that I had a defective appliance. I was told that since I didnt buy the extended warranty, there was nothing they could do. I mentioned my last Maytag lasted 25 years and had only two minor repairs so I didnt see any reason to buy an extended warranty. I thought I was buying a good product. I was told shed register my complaint. Waiting for my repairman to come out tomorrow and see what he can do. I also have a Maytag stove. Wonder how long that will last?

I had no issues with my washer. The best thing I ever did was stop using Sabrina softener in it and made the switch to vinegar. The worst thing I ever did was think that paying $900+ for a nice washer would get me more than a year! What a joke! I started noticing small leaks when my hardwood floors started lifting and once my husband looked into this, we realized there is no seal around the top of the drum. So there is no barrier between the drum and your floors basically. Then one day we had a flood. As we watched the cycle run, we noticed that when the water was filling into the bleach and fabric softener compartments it was coming in at such a high rate, it was spilling over the sides down to the floor. So we went to the internet and found a few complaints about this, but no answers. Thankfully we found one guy who had the exact same problem and even had pictures that matched ours. Luckily a real appliance tech answered him and he couldnt even figure it out but took a guess at what I might be: the water inlet valve. But that was just a guess. So we called around to find the part and talked with a few sales persons. One was so nice to even ask a technician standing in line. And he said that there was no way this could be it. But then we decided to take a gamble. We also noticed that both compartments were filling up at the same time, but the bleach should fill during the wash cycle and the fabric softener during the rinse cycle. So it was either the $104 water inlet valve. Or the $200+ circuit board. These are my options after already spending $900+.. So we went with the valve and thank goodness it worked!!!! It is so disappointing that after a short time, this washer broke and cause more damage to my floors. It is an awful design. I bought myself the nicest front loaders for my first house. When that broke 7 years later, I bought this washer because I liked the no agitator design without the smell of a front loader. Now when this one breaks again, Im not buying another HE machine. The majority of people I talked with today said that these HE machines are breaking down faster and faster as the get better and better. I am so beyond disappointed, angry and in shock that this washer failed in less than a year and a half time. My hope is that this review will give the answers we couldnt find without paying an arm and a leg. Is this what passes for quality these days???

One baffle broke off in my washer. Very disappointed in this Maytag Model #MHWE201YW00 Serial #HL20102420. I purchased this in Sept 2012. Where the baffle was hooked on had sharp fins sticking out that ruined my 2 small rugs - shredded them.

Went from an old simple Maytag to newer model, but still somewhat basic compared to others. However still getting used to the water saver feature in that getting in the right amount of detergent as not to have it set on my clothes and having to put through another rinse cycle and a more slimmer agitator. But do like the Maytag brand.

We have had and used this washing machine for over 25 years and only had one small problem and that was to replace the lid switch and the machine is working today as good as the day we bought it, it has went through raising four kids and many grandkids.

After writing a polite but stern complaint to several of the executives at Maytag and Whirlpool we got a call from their executive assistant. She arranged to have a technician come out to our house and assess the installation. He found nothing wrong and Maytag replaced the control panel for free. The technician has seen numerous faulty electronic control panels, and not just with Maytag. He would not recommend a preferred make or model. He longed for the old mechanical timer switches, which we could no longer find in the newer models. With enough customer complaints maybe they will do something about the electronic control panel in the future.

The Maytag Bravos XL washing machine has a difficult time getting clothes clean. The glass top allows a person to watch the clothing being washed. After one watches this for 5 minutes, it is quite clear that the clothes are not being washed properly. Clothes frequently end up dirty at the end of the wash cycles. I personally believe the design of the agitator is so poor that it is not capable of moving the clothing around to come clean. The tub is a large 4.5 cubic foot capacity, but because it uses so little water it simply doesnt function as advertised. Often there is residue on clothing, simple stains like dirt marks dont get removed. In addition to poor cleaning, the spin cycle is simply bizarre; clothes are twisted to the point that the wrinkles created during this cycle will not come out during the dryer phase of laundry work. I am completely unsatisfied with my purchase and regret not researching this more prior to purchase. I am baffled that this product could actually make it through quality control at Maytag. I have had one service call under warranty to fix the lid not locking. This repair was completed with satisfaction.

We have owned a number of dishwashers, some cost a great deal and some were inexpensive. Our current dishwasher is a Maytag and it has proven itself to be the best dishwasher we have ever owned, not only is it quiet, it cost less to operate and cleans all dishes and utensils excellently.

When we moved to a new home, we upgraded all the appliances, including the microwave. This was four years ago. When the first microwave stopped heating the food after two years, we thought it was a fluke and bought a brand new one, since fixing it would have cost more. Well, I should have gone with another brand. This is two Maytag microwave ovens in four years! We cannot believe that a company who enjoys such a good reputation can get away with such shoddy products!

My Maytag 3000 series washer had to be worked on right after we purchased it. Now it stinks and is leaking. Repairs are going to be over 300 dollars. A part wore out. It should have lasted longer and why does the front loading washer stink. There is no door to open to clean the filter.

Once again I purchased a maytag appliance. I was hesitant because of poor past experience. I bought a refrigerator, lasted 3 years, and a stove, a little better 4 years. When I went to buy a dishwasher at home depot, they assured me that maytag had improved their standards and now were more conscious of maintaining the quality of their products. Long story short, I bought the dishwasher in april of 2015 and now in october of 2015 the control panel is shut. I have requested a repair, but find this unacceptable as the life of appliances seems short at best. I am fearful this could be on going as I now am reading the customer reviews, and 90% of them have had this trouble more than once.

I purchased a Maytag dryer (MDE2400AZW) 2 years ago, but have only been using it for the last year - and fairly infrequently, as this is a dryer that my guests use. I called Home Depot where I bought the dryer (along with the washer). I thought I had purchased an extra warranty, but turns out I only had it on the washer - what was I thinking. I wish I had read these reviews before I made my purchase. My local repair man charged me $192.00 for a new heater and his time. Theres a whole 90-day warranty on the new heater!! I sure hope this one lasts more than a year otherwise Ill be buying a new dryer and it wont be Maytag.

1. can not get enough water in the Maytag machine to cover the clothes. 2. All of the clothes come out twisted. 3. After watching the machine wash the clothes I notice that agitator did not move all of the clothes down into the water, and that was probably because there was not enough water in the tub. 4. The machine gets out of balance easily and at that time the machine door is locked and you need to push the pause button and wait for it to unlock the door. 5. Its louder than my old Kenmore washer that we have had for 15 years.6. The Maytag dryer does not dry as fast as my old Kenmore dryer that we have had for 15 years.Bottom line is I would not buy another Maytag product. Do your homework.

Bought used and still performs like a champ. It's old. Have the matching dryer but that quit working some time ago so I hang dry clothes.

Purchased Maytag Centennial Washer and Dryer (MODEL MVC300VWI) at Home Depot 3 yrs ago. After 6 months, washer started to rust. Maytag told us It was not their problem. A 6-month old washer should not rust! Poor quality + poor customer service. Dont buy!

This dishwasher is reliable and has NEVER had any repairs. It cleans fairly well, but I do wash off dishes before I put them in. The one complaint I have is sometimes the dishes smell funny after washing. I think it may be our water though. I also like that there is room for oversize dishes and glasses on some of the racks. Overall, I would buy it again.

Purchased Maytag washer/dryer in November 2016. Have been dissatisfied ever since. Dryer doesnt dry clothes completely after 90 minutes on high setting. Washer leaves white residue on clothes. Noticeable on dark items. Hardly any water on deep water wash cycle. Bedding just makes a big rolled ball. White powdery residue doesnt come off easily. Rewash, dryer, brushing. Ruining my clothes. Service has been out and they dont appear to know how to correct problem. Maytag doesnt know what problem is and their engineering staff hasnt provided any information on how to fix. Maytag seems very disinterested in helping. They just thank you for being a loyal customer. Not anymore. The attached pictures were taken March 11, 2018.

Maytag Appliances - biggest rip off ever! Home Depot needs to stop carrying Maytag appliances. I purchased a Maytag washer Type 832-A, Model number MHWE200XW00, Serial number HL11990545 in May, 2011 from Home Depot. After just three years it flooded my laundry room. Home Depot couldnt help me, and Maytag Customer Service tried to really rip me off.I called Home Depot, asked why they continued to carry a product they knew had terrible complaints and all they could tell me was they are sorry I am unhappy with my washer, then gave me Maytags customer service number. I called Maytag - first the guy tried to sell me a $400 extended warranty package - total rip off. Maytag should be ashamed, then said he couldnt help because it was past the time period. There is no telling how many people they are ripping off with that little deal. Consumer Affairs should be all over this. So then he offered to get a Maytag repairman to come to my house, but couldnt tell me how much the diagnostic visit would cost or anything else. He was worthless.I hired a local repair person to come to my home, the part is $140, its the tub seal, weak and flimsy - has a giant hole. I only wash clothes and towels, nothing else. My local guy is cutting me a deal on the labor, still going to be $200. Maytag isnt what they used to be and I will never, ever purchase another product from them again, ever. And I would suggest you dont either. Maytag appliances only last a couple years at the most, and its customer service is horrid.

Bought a Maytag fridge model MFI2569YEM0 a few years ago. From the get-go, the ice machine would spit out ice hither and thither, mostly not into the cup or mug. Even when I held the cup up high into the dispenser orifice, I noticed it still spit out ice seconds after I released the cup, so ice cubes would spill onto the floor. Secondly, the vertical doors do not close well, and I must manually push them closed, especially the left door due to the poor design. (I noticed my neighbors more updated fridge has a better closing door. Forgot what brand, though.) Theres also rust forming on the front of the stainless steel fridge panel. It has penetrated through so I am unable to remove it.Lastly, this past week I walked into the kitchen stepping in a pool of water in front of the fridge. There was a sheet of ice accumulated on the bottom of the freezer. After some research, its likely the nipple in the back of the fridge that plugged up. I have yet to fix the problem, but so far, Maytag gets an F- in quality, and I will NEVER, EVER purchase any of their appliances again. I remember my parents washer dryer lasting 30+ years. Maytag, what happened???!!!

Purchased Maytag MDBH979AWW serial #FY4202009 from Lowes October 30, 2009. Control panel went out after warranty, and we replaced it. It quit working again in May 2012, and we replace the control panel, and then in November 2013 it quit and we replaced the control panel along with a new door latch just to be sure on December 4, 2013. The dishwasher quit working mid-cycle a couple of weeks ago only 9.5 months since we replaced the last control panel. Im fairly certain it is the control panel again. We have paid more to replace control panels for this dishwasher than we paid for the original appliance. There should be a recall and compensation on this issue. Very disappointed that Maytag and Whirlpool do not resolve this issue. We will be buying a different dishwasher, and it will not be Maytag or Whirlpool.

My front load Kenmore just fell apart. I guess Im lucky I have had it for 8 years and now its broke. I could fix it but thought it would be better to get a new one. I looked at all the reviews for front load washer and could not find one that had positive reviews. So I went with a top load. After reading all the complaints I might have made a mistake, but its too late now as it was delivered yesterday and now doing the clean cycle. Oh my…what junk they all produce now - a true throwaway society. My refrigerator is still working after 24 years what a gem of a product. Happy days.

I bought a Maytag Top Loader. I soon discovered that it is not possible to do a cold water wash. After much communication with Maytag Customer Service it was determined that there is no way to bypass it. And it uses a lot of hot water, even on a cold wash. Their explanation was that the water needed to be a certain temperature to make the detergent work effectively. The same detergent that I’ve been using for 40 years with cold water in my Speed Queen. When I need to do a cold water wash, I go to my parents home and use their washer. Disappointing purchase, my last Maytag, for sure.

Purchased my Maytag in November of 2010, with the freezer on bottom. Within 1 year the ice maker stopped working, and every 8 to 10 days it gets a sheet of ice on the bottom, and water runs out all over the floor. Guess, Yes the warranty expired and scared to death that Im gonna have to replace my floor. If there is a class action suit out there please inform me.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher on 12-26-2013. It was installed in early Jan. We did not buy an additional warranty. We put our faith in the Maytag name. We had no problems with our dishwasher. It was smooth and quiet. The one year warranty ended in Jan. 2015. In March of 2015, our dishwasher control panel began to go crazy. A short while later our Maytag shut down completely. Every now and then the washer will come on by itself. We will try and cut it off. It cuts off when it is ready. We have got quotes on getting it fixed by Maytag. With installation and tax, our Maytag Dishwasher cost us $649.22. Our complaint is the same complaint of thousands of other customers - the control panel. Maytag should have a recall and fix this problem. Maytags remedy for this problem is to sell a warranty for each year that a family owns the dishwasher. That is not acceptable. I purchased this washing machine from Home Depot in 2012. I am amazed that it lasted this long after reading the reviews on here. It will not drain water, it will not spin. I see many customers bought the same washer and are having multiple issues. When will Maytag recall these machines? Overpriced and unfair to consumers to sell something that is broken or not reliable.

I spent more than I should to buy this machine but thought of it as an investment to help conserve water and energy. Wrong!! One small load of undies will wash for 60-70 minutes, then still not be clean. So, I rewash them. Really, how does that save anything? I HATE this machine. Ive never seen a washing machine that will wash in WRINKLES! Lastly, I do not like the fact that I have no control over water level. I had one load of towels that the towel on top actually came out of the washing machine with more than half of the towel still dry. Not good! Save your money and buy a machine with an agitator. They simply clean better.
