I have had this machine for 15 years and never spent a penny on any maintenance, I love it. Some things are worth it and it still has a stylish look and cleans great. The only thing I would change is if it didn't have any the middle washer paddle so it would have more space like the newer models.

My husband and I bought a set of Maytag appliance 12/2011 the washer squeaks real bad on spin cycle and now today the dryer started making real real bad squeak sounds to the point I can not use it!!! My appliances are only 4 years old!!! And we wash clothes once a week for just my husband and I. I would not recommend buying any Maytag appliances!!! They are supposed to be the best but are not worth **!!! And I called Maytag, they are not willing to help. Bad service!!!

The ceramic coating on the interior of the oven cavity in the top oven, which I use the most (may actually happen to the lower oven in time) has cracked in the exact pattern of the hidden element. When I spoke to the salesperson at the store, he wasnt surprised and said that it will eventually bubble and rust!!! Called customer service and was informed they consider this an aesthetic issue with no fix!!! They will not offer any remedy or compensation. Are you kidding me!!!

Excellent dishwasher but door kinda flimsy. Front panel scratches too easy. Top rack needs to be stronger and a bigger bottom rack. Other than that running wise dishwasher is excellent. Its hard to beat Maytag. I think they just build cheap stuff around good motors.

I bought this washer almost 5 yrs ago and oil has been leaking from it. Called company who sent a tech to my home and declared it a total loss. All he did was tilt it for maybe 1 minute to determine this. I am out a washer. Nothing from this horrible company. They quit making the washer but cant even compensate the owner with anything to purchase a replacement. Will keep passing the word.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot on 5/17/11. It would run, then not run. It spoiled all the food not in the freezer and most of the food in the freezer. This happened early November, being less than six months old. My wife called on 11/8/11, they repaired it on 11/18/11. Ten days of no refrigerator and a lost of about $200 in spoiled food. The company would not pay for any of the money I lost for the spoiled food!

Just bought a Maytag Bravos 4.3 cu ft washing machine from NFM. The first machine delivered was broken it didnt wash or spin the clothes. NFM sent out another one at 9:30pm. It doesnt spin the clothes out well & loads have to be small. Poorly made.

I inherited the Maytag Bravo washing machine when I got married... should have stuck with my LG! The Bravo does not clean clothes properly, I have to wash fewer items in each wash and wash them on the power cycle! Wasting time, water, and electricity! Will be purchasing a different brand!

Was assured the washer could do comforters, etc. Well, I took a video of the washer doing 5 t-shirt, 1 pair of pants, and 3 pairs of socks on the power wash cycle. Nothing tumbled. All the plate did was swish some water around on the bottom. Clothes werent clean at all. Check my Youtube video, and you can watch the leg of the pair of pants sticking up out of the water and never getting back down in to get wet. Horrible horrible machine. With that said, called the company I bought it from, and they arranged for a front loader since Id only had the machine for a couple hours. Stuck me for a second delivery fee though, which I wasnt happy about. Well see when the new one gets here Tuesday.

We bought the Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryer set in 2013 after extensive reviews as well as the brand recognition to replace my at least 20 year old Kenmore washer/dryer. At first we were very pleased. The ability to do bulky loads was great and the high spin cycle left the clothes almost dry. In 2018 (keep in mind, just 5 years!) we started to hear a grinding sound in the washer when on rinse cycle and the dryer would randomly turn itself on! Strange but true. I called Maytag Canada and they sent someone right away. They had to replace the motherboard on both the washer and dryer as well as the drum and gears on the washer. Fortunately this was covered under warranty.Fast forward 1.5 years. Same issues with washer...technician came and could not identify the problem, although I did tell him it was the same as 1.5 years ago. I ended up recording the sound and asked them to resend technician to the house. After further diagnostics, yup...same problem. Two days went by and I received a call back advising me that the cost to repair would be over 700.00, not covered by warranty! I escalated to management, to no avail although they did offer me 15% off my next Maytag purchase! Needless to say I have ordered a brand new GE from Costco, arriving tomorrow for basically the same price to repair the Maytag. I will NEVER purchase another Maytag product and will advise anyone who cares to listen to me to do the same. Huge disappointment in the Maytag product, brand name and customer service. 10 year warranty? Not likely...stay away.

My Atlantis dryer has never been able to be used on more/less dryer settings, I have had 4 repairmen repair my dryer 3 were while dryer was under warranty to fix the same thing 3 times wiring 4th time, anyway last repairman said my More dry wont work because I never had a sensor installed in my dryer and there is not a place for one so since 2005. Ive used timed dry only or my dryer runs all the time. I am concerned the first 3 repairmen never caught this. I should not have to be responsible for this either. Please have a manager contact me and have them check into my Atlantis Maytag dryer bought in 2005 and all the repair slips sent to Maytag.I used Green Yates in Joplin. Pretty sure. I thought I just had to live with it they would put new parts on I think timer, thermostats anyway can someone tell me for sure or inspect for yourself. I am single and dryer never used that much. I just bought my Maytag Range model #MGR8700DS2 in August 2016. Bought Maytag because I always thought it was one of the best with the best warranty around. Now I am not so sure. After using it the first time, found that when you are baking anything in the oven the burner control knobs get very hot. That is because they designed the knob area to be right above where the heat vents out from the oven door. The knobs get so hot that you almost burn yourself if you touch them. This is a bad design in my opinion especially if you have any kids around. Even the sides of the oven get way too hot. This is also bad because of the tight spacing to your cabinets. I contacted Maytag about this and got a OH WELL kind of reply to my problem. You bought it and you are stuck with it. I would not recommend buying this model to anyone.

What a disappointment. I guess this is why we no longer see that commercial about the Maytag repairman being bored. Because now, he is out fixing these pieces of shirt. Im trying to fix my washer (Model: MAH8700AWW), what a sweet pain in the **. Dont do it. Throw it away if it starts making noise like an aircraft landing.

I purchased a washer on 8/13/12. I had it installed on 8/20/12. It did not clean clothes properly. I went to Two Guys and they said they dont take returns and told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and they sent a a service agent to check the machine on 9/10/12. They said the machine codes were imbalanced and over stud. They need to recalibrate the machine. I did laundry the same day and still find clothes do not come clean. I need to return the machine. I called Maytag and was told they dont take returns. This machine is not cleaning clothes as it should be and I want a refund!

I just purchased a washer in April and the door is locked with my son brand new clothes is stuck in the machine in water, I called to get service and was told a date 2 weeks away, worst experience ever. Sorry ma’am is what I was told in a non caring way. I’m so furious if I could return this washer and dryer I would.

My husband and I just purchased on 4/8/17 a BRAND NEW MAYTAG 4.3 CUBIC FEET CAPACITY FRONT LOADING WASHER WITH STEAM AFTER OUR PREVIOUS 15 year old washer that we both used just finally started having issues. So we decided to go new and with front loader with good brand. How sadly I was wrong! We brought our washer home, hooked it up and turned it on with 1/2 load of tiny laundry. It didnt even make it through one load! This POS started throwing error codes E1, E2, F8, F9, Suds and wouldnt drain any water. We reviewed the manual again, checked the filter hoses and detergent. All was fine but washer wouldnt work! I called Maytag 2 days later on Monday and after repairman came to look at it Thursday said it needs new drain pump and today now power wont turn on and nothing will work on front of machine, mind you this machine is brand new! I am so disgusted and angry that any company would sell this quality to anybody and at the prices they charge! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE ANOTHER MAYTAG!

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

Gemini Twin natural gas range - I bought this range approximately 18 months ago. I thought it had all the features I needed and it looked good -- looking good is just about all it does! If you are a real cook I would suggest you avoid this range. The burner controls are preset and it is impossible to turn the flame very low if a simmering heat is required. If you are making meringues, again, the oven heat cannot be turned to a cool enough temperature. Ovens bake/broil unevenly. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not because the flame is not hot enough, but because the pots sit far too high above the flame. Bad, bad design. Probably designed by someone who eats take-out!!

I bought a Maytag Bravos top loader washer and dryer less than 2 years ago. I started having problems with my dryer 3 months ago and after several service calls (and a few hundred dollars), it still does not dry our clothes. I spent over $1500 for the pair and was excited to have a top end washer and dryer. My biggest complaint is with the manufacturer, Maytag - they just dont seem to care. I did not buy the extended warranty for two reasons. First, I bought a nice unit and expect it to work properly for a reasonable amount of time (at least 4-5 years without any problems). Second, they are just a bad purchase and they cost about half of the unit and if you buy a nice unit, you shouldnt need one. I could have bought a new dryer for what I spent to try and have this one work properly. My wife and I spent $600 for our last set which lasted 7 years without a problem; they were manufactured by GE, which I now wish I would have bought another GE. My wife talked me into buying a new pair to accommodate the needs of our growing family. I wished I would have kept the GE pair that was working.I would not recommend any Maytag appliance: they really just dont care to provide any reasonable service to stand behind their products. What a shame. This reminds me of why many foreign manufacturers are beating us at what we used to do best - make products that last and work! The washer and dryer look nice and have many great features, but these dont matter much if they dont work.

We bought this Maytag Bravos 300 Quiet series top loading washer 3 years ago. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer. I absolutely HATE this Maytag Washer. DO NOT buy it. I would rate it less than one star however they did not offer a 1/2 star. If there is class action lawsuit please include me.

Worst product I ever purchase. I have four kids which are boys. This washer does not clean very good. I usually soak the clothes first before I put it in the washer. Never purchasing their product again. Now I am stuck with this washer because I cannot afford to purchase another one. Hate it.

We had 10 year old Kenmore units in the past that were much better and worked faster at both cleaning and drying. We prefer a washer with a agitator and top load. The dryer is preferred to be gas. Both the Maytag washer and dryer we have need constant repairs. Washer for control panel repairs, and dryer for false heat sensing problems. Now they say not to use dryer anti-wrinkle sheets. The washer needs less sheets put in at a time to rinse better. It is a agitator less model.

Maytag Bravos top load washing machine - This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. Like some of the other complaints it leaves lint on your clothing. It does not put enough water in the machine. The so called smart technology that senses your load does a terrible job. Your clothing is halfway out of the water, with dry spots, even after 10 minutes of agitation. I am constantly adding 3 to 5 gallons of water to my loads to get things in the water. And if I want to let thing soak for a while you have to unplug the machine, because after 10 minutes it will automatically drain the water out. 2 years of dissatisfaction. I cant wait for it to die. I should have come to this site first. Never buy a machine without an agitator!

Maytag french door 2015 refrigerator. Not happy at all. Freezer gets rim frost on sides of pull drawers and the smell is like dirty socks when motor is running! The whole kitchen stinks???

Mine is the Chrome Maytag four-burner cooktop model. About $700. I installed it with ease. After two years there are only one or two slight scratches. It sees full meals for two cooked daily. The grate is first class and looks new, the top itself is easy to clean with a damp soapy cloth and mineral oil. There is easily enough BTU power for any size of pro pan. The igniters are healthy and fine and a repair would be easy.

My $1500 2 yr old Maytag mbf2258Dem refrigerator stopped cooling properly (wont freeze). The icemaker was the slowest I have ever had. That may have been the problem when I bought it. The Maytag Repairman came out and said that even with Maytag sending me a new compressor (under warranty) this unit was not worth fixing. I called Maytag and they said sorry there was nothing they would do. So l looked up every review I could find... and this refrigerator is just bad. Not Worth Fixing. So Maytag deceived me. On the front of the door it says 10 year compressor warranty. Thats a big sales feature! They know that they have a problem. This is one bad company!

I am extremely disappointed with Maytag and the representatives I spoke with this evening. One laughed after I told her I was 7 months pregnant and without a fridge for a week after owning it less than a year. I was repeatedly and curtly told, We dont cover that, when I asked only to replace the recent food I had purchased. After having to request a manager several times, I was put on the phone with Dana ID ** who said she would not be able to help with any food despite the delay of a week for repairs to our fridge. However, she could extend our warranty for 6 months.The only reason we were able to get someone out as early as we did was because we knew a licensed Maytag service repair company. Otherwise, we would still be waiting for someone to come out to tell us it would be another week before repairs. The originally assigned service repair company by Maytag did not return our call. There was no concern or empathy from the Maytag representatives that I was pregnant and could have eaten food that was not cooled to prevent bacteria growth that would harm me and my baby.Even their service repair technician recommended to contact them about the spoiled food since it was impossible for the repairs to be completed before the end of the week. We will never purchase Maytag again. The appliance failed with no warning in less than a year, and the representatives made no effort to resolve our issue of being without food for a week.

We bought the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer combo from box store. I wanted an extra large capacity washer to accommodate king sized bedding, and having fewer wash loads in general. Cons: 1 - This machine is not energy efficient when each wash load takes 1:30 to 1:50 each load. 2 - The detergent/fabric softener/oxi dispensers are a joke. Water dumps into every compartment at once. And if there’s still detergent left by the rinse cycle, well you get the picture.3 - The “Bedding” setting is the only one which will provide enough water in the tub to get anything wet. Since there isn’t any type of agitator the clothing/bedding just floats on the surface in dirty perfumed water. 4 - With any of the other settings the water level is so low it doesn’t always get everything wet so items are not being washed properly. At most maybe 2 pairs of jeans or just a few t-shirts can be washed on the “Normal” or “Power Wash” settings. 5 - Because there isn’t an agitator, clothing gets knotted up. Dress shirts, dress pants, jeans, towels, you name it, everything comes out of the washer in a knotted mess.The Bravos XL Dryer: My only complaint with the dryer is that it allows a good amount of lint to pass through into the machine. Then it’s difficult to get any type of lint brush into the vent area to remove the lint. Dampened lint in the machine can make clothing smell musty and nasty. I had to call a service to remove lint from the dryer & ducting because of the odor lingering from the inside the dryer.

Dryer doesn’t wash all the clothes and the dryer doesn’t dry anything correctly. All, regardless of materials or size of load, comes out damp. Repairman’s excuse was that it’s a learning curve(?) and our dryer vent was the cause (which it wasn’t as we had it checked out and there was nothing in it) and that was it. Very disappointed in the washer and dryer and now the company where we bought them as it seems that we’re stuck with over $2K worth of equipment that doesn’t wash or dry well. We’re awaiting to speak with manager for a replacement of anything not Maytag. Not holding our breath and definitely not a happy customer.

The fridge has a grinding noise that is getting worse, by the day. I cannot seem to define the exact location of problem, whether the freezer or the fridge. Maytag you stink, and your web site stinks, too.

The whole Control Panel lights are turned off for several minutes. Then they return on. Frequency? Few times per day. Reason? We dont know. No water or ice are dispensed when this happens. No water pipe is kinked, water pressure is OK, no problem with cooling system and nothing happens with food inside refrigerator or freezer. There are no mention made in trouble-shooting section of customer manual. What should we do? In spite of this, we are satisfied with the product so far, after 3 years of use.

I bought a Maytag range (MET-8775) last year, because my wife loves to bake and wanted the double oven. The oven never did brown properly, despite trying different temperatures and cookware. So, I called the 1-800 number in the manual. I was told they would have a technician come out and check it, and they assured me it was under warranty. The technician arrived, and since it was close to the end of the warranty period, I showed him the receipt for purchase. I got another assurance that this visit was covered by the warranty, before anything was actually done. Well, he checked it out and eventually calibrated the temperature. That helped a little, but still, it doesnt brown very well. About a month later, I got an invoice from the service company that dispatched the tech telling me Maytag will not cover the visit under warranty. After a long call with Maytag (now Whirlpool, I believe), I was told that since the calibration instructions were in the manual, it wasnt covered! Well, why wasnt the thing calibrated to begin with? And your average customer is expected to have an accurate thermometer/gauge to set it and know whether the temp is off or not? Why was I told twice that it would be covered? If either the lady on the 1-800 line or the tech who came had told me this wasnt covered, I would have argued a case right then. As it turned out, I had no choice but to get billed for something I was assured was covered. And as I said, it still doesnt brown right; and we had tried different temperatures before. We are preparing a major kitchen remodel, and its hard to believe that Maytag/Whirlpool would so thoroughly piss off a customer and potential future customer over an $80.00 service call.

Every appliance in my kitchen is Maytag. I went with Maytag because its made in America and now Im annoyed. The microwave died after about 5 years and since I had a spare, I have yet to repair it. I am just now removing the panel to see whats going on in the inside so I can replace whatever broken part is broken. The double oven I have Ive had to repair twice. Once I had to replace a capacitor on the board because it blew. It cost me zero to replace it as I have an old home theater system I part out. The next item was the control pad itself which I tried to repair but had to replace for $200. The dishwasher died after 6 years of use and after replacing the control pad (couldnt be repaired), it still didnt work. And I got a replacement from my wifes dad who was moving and had to get rid of his. Ultimate timing. I purchased a Maytag refrigerator instead of a Samsung like an idiot (which I suppose I am at this point). The fridge leaks water because the drain plug is jammed and it will take a lot of work to get back there to unjam it. I think Maytag wants to sell you expensive parts that are doomed to break after a couple years of normal use. They want to send repair guys out to your house to charge you to fix their junk. I cant wait to move and buy all Samsung products and do away with this Maytag relationship once and for all.

My Maytag top loading washer, 4 years old, stopped working in the middle of a wash cycle. Registered Maytag repairman did a diagnosis and finally identified the problem with the control board. The cost of the control board would have cost almost as much as the original wash machine especially since I had to pay for the current service call and labor (to diagnose the problem). After having read a number of other reviews from dissatisfied customers, I will not buy another Maytag product. I was under the impression that Maytag produced a superior appliance but was disappointed by this experience.

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. We have experienced all the same complaints. Loud noise, door lock not working, not enough water in the drum to wash clothes, and the bearings going out and it doesnt work. NEVER will we buy a MAYTAG again. To the scrap yard I go today. Thanks MAYTAG for wasting my money. Thanks LOWES for recommending this garbage.

We purchased all new Maytag appliances when we built our house. So far, the stove/oven has quit working and been repaired 3 times; its always the ignitor. The dishwasher has been fixed twice. The washer no longer spins out as it should. The refrigerator and dryer so far have run okay. I am definitely going to change brands with my new appliances. I will not purchase Maytag again. Its not what it used to be. I will do without oven this time, until I can buy a new one. Also, the dishwasher door has had problems from day 1, and now, it will not close at all. It seems like its off the hinge. Definitely, its not the Maytag of years ago.

Maytag Dryer- Bravos XL - Waiting for my third service call since purchasing my dryer less than 2 months ago. After 2 service calls the repairman found a piece of the mold that should have been removed at the factory causing problems. Now, my dryer made a weird noise, sparks flew and it no longer works. After calling the seller and the manufacturer requesting a replacement, they feel it should be repaired (again).

Bought a Maytag Bravos x MVWX700XX1 about 2 years ago and now the agitator barely moves and makes a very loud grinding noise. Never had a major appliance wear out so fast..is a piece of junk. Will never buy another Maytag product ever again. Their old ads about the Maytag guy being bored because he never needed to fix anything should be considered false advertising.

Me and my wife bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot. The top half freezes up in a big way and it gets real frosted up I have to pull it apart every 2 months to defrost it. The bottom half starts to get warm if I dont do that. I will not ever buy another Maytag refrigerator again.

Re: refrigerator model # MBF2258XEB1. The above-referenced refrigerator was purchased in 2011 from Home Depot. We paid over $1,000.00 thinking we were buying a good product. Right now the bottom freezer is working but the refrigerator is not cooling. An appliance repairman cleaned out the defroster part, but that did not resolve the problem. He said it was a compressor/valve gas line problem. I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to have this repaired. Even though the warranty has expired, I believe that Maytag should pay the cost of the repair. This is VERY inconvenient and frustrating.

The door is worthless. I am the only washing machine user in my home and am gentle with my appliances. However over normal use, the washers door has cracked and has had to be replaced twice since it was purchased from Home Depot.

We bought our Maytag dishwasher because of the topnotch features; such as 10 year warranty, low noise level, maximum cleaning power and it looks great. The dishes come out exceptionally clean and don’t needs to be rinsed prior to putting them in.

I depend on my front loading Maytag washer. It is very reliable, does a great job of cleaning even difficult items like comforters and pillows as well as items deeply soiled. I use the many features like water temp and level, fabric type, heavy or light load, etc. The only complaint I have is that the front cover of the detergent, fabric softener and bleach drawer came off and the exterior paint on top of appliance is rusting and peeling. A stronger substance for the surface where often detergent, fabric softener and other substances are often stored and they leak.

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

I bought a new Maytag washer two and half years ago. One of the new HE (High efficiency) models. Clothes do not get washed clean. But not only that, now its not washing at all. My previous machine was a Maytag...Had it for 22+ yrs. I guess Maytag quality is no longer what it used to be. Disappointed customer!

I wish I had researched high efficiency washers before buying because of a name we trusted implicitly. Our washer does not get our clothes clean & cleaning it with Affresh is not enough. I have never had to work so hard at getting clothes clean! Towels smell musty, stinky. My husbands sweaty workout & gardening clothes smell worse, even with subsequent washes & his shirts have white spots from the detergent not even being washed out. The rinse cycle water just washes out the bottom of the machine while the clothes are plastered against the side of the machine. I do not wash my husbands clothes with anyone elses or it all smells and if he washes them twice, they still have that odor that comes from being dank. Even if I stop the washer to arrange the clothes on the bottom so they will get rinsed properly (gotta wait two hours for a load to finish) I have bought every HE laundry detergent on the market, every odor remover, vinegar, baking soda, bleach. For a year Ive been chasing my tail to do the dance that I never had to do with a top loader agitator Maytag that we had for 7 years and never had to clean once, but used unscented detergent that got the worst smells and stains out without much thought. Even reviews that I read about their amended top loader with an agitator are not very good.

I purchased the Top Loading Maytag Washer and have had nothing but an awful experience with this washer. The dark clothes come out with soap on them. I then need to take a wet towel to wipe out the soap stains. I have had a repairman in 2 times so far and there is nothing he can do to fix it. Maytag said I must wash all the towels with towels, all jeans with jeans, roll clothes into a loose ball before putting in machine, use the extra rinse cycle and the longest wash cycle and do not load clothes more than 5-6 inches high in the tub plus 7 other things I must do to get a clean load and none of those things have worked yet. If the salesperson would have told me all this, I never would have purchased a Maytag and nor should you!

Dryers been installed for 3 months, 3 service calls to date. Heat unit failure. 1st service call no show, no call. 2nd service call fixed the problem 50%, the dryer would heat on timed dry but no other modes. A week after that call heat unit failed again on all modes. Awaiting 3rd service call. Customer Service Department at Whirlpool Canada could care less. Avoid this product, Maytag 2000 series dryer - do not buy.

Purchased new Neptune stacks in 2002 and had several service calls on our expense and we noticed the hinges on the washer door were rusting! Ordered new ones from dealer but rust continues and has spread to top of machine over the bleach dispenser. The metal is falling off! Bad rust on the inside lip under door also. I contacted Maytag when I first noticed rust and they blew me off so I contacted the local dealer we bought from and they did nothing to help. I bought my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set about 3.5 years ago when I moved into my home. There was a 20-year old set here that did work, but I wanted something newer and more efficient, so I donated the old set and bought these. Performance of the washer has always seemed mediocre, clothes dont get as clean as I think they should, whites are dingy, despite using hard-water additives and the correct HE products.A few months ago, the washer started a new behavior: stopping during the initial fill cycle and displaying an F1 error. I soon figured out if I hit cancel then start again, it would resume filling and proceed with the cycle. Over time, I had to repeat it more and more. Its now up to ten F1 errors both at the beginning and end of the cycle. I dont have that kind of time to babysit my washer. I already have a full-time job.I have called Maytag/Whirlpool twice now, both times getting unsatisfactory answers. Even after escalating to the customer service supervisor, I was basically told that it is most likely the control board that is the problem and since Im no longer under warranty (that washer ‘is’ almost 4 years old, maam), Id either have to order the part myself from their supplier (total cost $250 + the risk of DIY), or buy their service package for about $350 which included fixing that problem plus one additional years warranty.I pointed out that for a major household appliance that I (over) paid for, I expect a life of more than 4 years, especially since I had a working 20-year old washer when I moved in here. Since when is this acceptable? I could understand if it were a wear-and-tear part, like a rubber seal or something that moved constantly and would eventually need replaced. But this is the electronics module, something that cant (or at least, shouldnt) be worn down or broken by use or even user error. This is an integral part of the machine, and if it has a fault (which it clearly does), the manufacturer needs to stand behind it and help the consumer.What angered me even further is that the customer service manager even admitted that models similar to mine had had similar problems, and a free control board was sent to those customers. But my model was not in that range of production, so clearly they have no fault, in their eyes. Apparently, its not even remotely possible that maybe when they determined the range of models they believed to be faulty, mine hadnt been in use long enough to display the same behavior? Maybe the range they selected is too restrictive and they missed some. From the volume of complaints Ive seen online, Id bet that to be the case.I asked to be transferred to their legal department, and was refused because we just dont transfer customers to the legal department. Well, I just dont buy Maytag or Whirlpool anymore, and Im going to do my best to make sure nobody else does either. Im replacing this ** with a different brand, one Ill be sure has tremendous reviews and a manufacturer that will stand behind it.

Ten years ago I bought a very expensive set of Maytag Neptune Washer MAH5500BWW and dryer units with the single all-in-one pedestal. The washer starts sounding like a freight train during the fast spin dry cycle. A service tech came out, turned it on, listened, told me it is bad outer tub bearings going bad. And the price to fix is $846. Its essentially a throw-it-away deal. The tech says he has done hundreds of these and its a 3-hour major tear down, the bearings are press fitted and you essentially buy a new outer tub instead of replacing the bearings in the old one. Maytag went out of business and was bought by Whirlpool. What a piece of crap and to think how great Maytag once was. Now I have a dryer and a pedestal that probably wont fit any other washer brand.

I have a Maytag Performa washing machine (model no. PAVT234AWW) and called the Maytag parts department to order a plastic pulley for the main drive motor. I was told I would have to purchase the 189 dollar motor just to get the plastic pulley. After two days web searching and calling local appliance stores I found that Whirlpool who uses the same drive motor sells the pulley (part no. 21001108) for 9 dollars. The Whirlpool pulley is even made out of stronger plastic. I just wonder how many Maytag customers have had to purchase a drive motor like I was told I had to by Maytag just to fix a 9 dollar pulley. I got lucky and my problem was solved, but only because a local store happened to have this particular problem so frequently that they were able to help me out when Maytag should be the ones helping out their customers better. All of a sudden, the lid lock light is flashing. The washer is only 1.5 years old!

I purchased this washer two years ago. It is supposed to be high efficiency so I was using cold water with the Water level sensor. The first load of dark clothes I washed came out with soap streaks all over them. This happened every time I washed dark clothes and sometimes they were barely wet. I emailed Maytag but they didn’t reply, so I called customer service and was told I should always use warm water and when washing dark clothes select a deep water wash. How is this HE?? When I wash towels or sheets everything comes out tangled and I am only putting in one set of queen size sheets. I will never buy another Maytag.

Contacted their customer service by phone and email numerous times...sent photos. They did nothing on a major issue,,three year old washer..now junk. Side of washer is rusting out the metal housing on washer is compromised.

Code F51 showed up and my appliance repair man immediately said, I see this problem with the Maytag Bravos all the time. Its a control board and motor problem. He gave me a number to call to see if I could receive help through Maytag (Whirlpool), because its a major fix. He also thought that there might be a recall by now since there have been so many problems, but no. The Maytag customer rep was of no help. So disappointed in Maytag and the Bravos Washer. I will never buy another Maytag again!

We bought this stove in 2014. One knob got stuck while my teenager was cooking food on the gas stove. He called me at work worried because he couldnt turn it off. My husband left work right away to go home. We thought it was just a bad plastic knob. Now a second knob is stuck in the on low position. There is a third knob that feels hard to turn. That will be 3 burners. This is ridiculous. Its a safety hazard. We consumers have to worry if the house will burn down, get CO2 in the air, and if our family and children are safe. We thought Maytag was a good appliance. I will not buy another Maytag. They should recall this stove top/oven. I have read so many of the same complaint on this website as well as online in general. I cant believe they continue to sell this with this much of a safety issue. Please take it off the market.

I am a Baby Boomer... just like so many of us, I watched those lonely Maytag Repairman television commercials. Yes, silly me I purchased our top loading Maytag Bravos XL because of the brand name and because the machine was large enough to wash our bedding. Well, like so many fellow purchasers have found, this machine does not get the clothes clean and leaves soap spots all over the clothes. Its embarrassing. Additionally, there is that funny smell after the clothes come out of the wash. Well, Maytag has really done a number on us all. Kudos to their research & development department for creating a washing machine where the clothes come out dirtier. Has Maytag thought about a RECALL? I will tell everyone I know to NEVER buy a Maytag.

Same as everyone else, ice freezes up on the bottom and water runs out all over the floor, ruining my new floor. Whole kitchen was new including all appliances. Maytag is ruining my floors. Can find no drain pipes so not sure where the water is supposed to do. I think they forgot to install one. But I am getting pretty sick of seeing my floors ruined and stepping in water.

Our new refrigerator was pissing all over the kitchen floor. We had to disconnect the ice maker after an alleged repair part was supplied. (We had to pay a plumber to install it.) It didnt work, so we finally had to disconnect all the parts related to the ice maker. Here it is July, and ice cubes would really be appreciated right now. I get angry when I see all the Maytag commercials that pop up on the internet!

Its about Maytag MDE7600AYW Atlantis electric dryer issues, Nov 2005 model. There is an obvious design flaw. I have replaced the automatic dryer control board twice since 2005. The unit simply never shuts off, or cooks your clothes for 2 hours. Who will recall this unit and fix the circuit? They will not admit their error.

Bought a Maytag Dishwasher, model MDB89449SAM1 a little over two years ago and had nothing but trouble with it. Had Repairman out twice before but today he said we would be better off buying a new one! What a piece of JUNK and truly a waste of money! Would not recommend buying any MAYTAG products. They used to be a quality brand but no more.

I purchase my first glass top stove; a Maytag. It came with a 10 year warranty on all elements and the glass top. As this is a first glass top I read through all instructions, there appeared no real warnings on what to do to maintain the glass; or rather what would damage or void a warranty. I simmered some maple syrup, and as it so often does when reaching the proper temperature, it boiled over. On a regular burner, one just uses a little elbow grease and your stove is returned its previous state. This actually pitted the glass, and as the warranty people at Maytag informed me voided the warranty, and seriously weakened the glass top suggesting it would be likely to break. Seriously?????? All of us boil stuff over on the stove top from time to time, and this damages the glass top and voids a warranty??? VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maytags product and their warranty.

This washing machine has been very reliable.No repairs needed yet. This machine has stood the test of time. We use it at least.. four times a week. Light and heavy loads. It fits in our washroom and budget. Just perfect. I would recommend this brand to everyone.

Maytag front loader 5000 series error codes - After using my washing machine for 3.5 years, under light duty, I have an error code of SUD and F35 indicating that the pressure switch has failed and needs replacement. I will need to buy a new pressure switch out of pocket and replace.

I purchased a Neptune washer/dryer front loader. All Neptune washers have basic design flaw over which the company should be sued. Since the bulk of the weight is in the front of the horizontal wash-drum, the entire assembly is suspended by a rear mounted bearing allowing the drum to spin. That bearing assembly is woefully under-designed and not able to support the unequally distributed weight that is inherent in any front load design.Since the forces of gravity cause a loading of the rear bearing on the front of the bearing raceway only, the machine is doomed to catastrophic failure of the entire drum system--and they all do this. When the washer goes into spin mode, it sounds like a jet engine taking off and that is a symptom of the bearing design beginning to fail which begins on the first use of the machine. The cost of the drum assembly/bearing and the labor is far more expensive than buying a new machine and therefore, not worth it. Avoid Maytag products at all costs.

Bought new Maytag French Door with cooling drawer refrigerator in July, & have had nothing but problems with both product & customer service since. Have already had 2 service calls for the SAME problem. The in-door ice maker/dispenser is a horrendous mess. Place a container below the opening to get ice cubes & ice is sprayed in chunks all over the floor & around the kitchen. To get ice, you have to put the container in direct contact with the opening, & then place a towel over the entire in-door unit to keep ice chunks from spraying all over the floor. The unit has a small flap-door in the ice maker, which must open & close automatically when getting ice, but the flap failed to close, so the ice in the ice maker was melting & the water running into the refrigerator unit & onto the floor. Called warranty repair & they came out & said they fixed the door-flap, but they did not. Ice was still melting & the freezer unit would not even keep ice cream & pastry items frozen solid. Called repair a 2nd time during the first 4 months of ownership, & they came out & replaced the motor to the small door-flap in the in-door ice/water unit. When asked why the freezer would not keep ice cream & pastry items frozen solid, the repairman stated (quote): Freezers dont keep ice cream frozen solid because it has so much sugar in it, its like alcohol. Had no excuse about the pastry issue however. We replaced a 12-year-old Jenn-Air with this piece of junk, but at least the Jenn-Air kept ice & ice cream frozen solid, & the ice maker did not leak & spray ice around the kitchen. Jenn-Air must know something about freezing sugary ice cream, that Maytag/Whirlpool do not understand. Then today we got a notice that Whirlpool had denied payment for the 1st repair visit, even though the unit was only 2 months old then. As such, we expect them to deny payment for this 2nd visit, even though the unit is now only 4 months old. Bad product & sloppy customer service, from a company with ZERO consumer support.

Our Maytag oven (not sure model) in the first year started doing crazy things with the oven computer. The oven would shut off and come back on and the display would be garbled. Also when my girlfriend tried to pull the turkey out, the rack fell off the left side and dumped all the juices into the oven. She almost got burned and there was a lot of smoke. The freakin rack should never fall off! Also our dishwasher is on its second control board. I lived by Mr. Maytag and his airplanes/helicopters at Crest airpark in Covington, WA. I wish I still did. Id like to ask him what he thinks of his crappy products. You get nothing for your money anymore. Im not sure but Ill bet both of my problems with these products have something to do with saving a buck by making this crap in Mexico or some other *** hole. Im just glad Maytag doesnt make airplanes or medical equipment.

It has all the features we like and use every day. Timer, lights, fan, built-in Above stove, use minutes or preprogrammed Turntable, quiet, white in color, easy cleaning. Easy to replace filter and light.

Read MANY complaints about these units leaking water onto the floor underneath. This is accompanied by a sheet of ice forming on the bottom of the freezer under the main drawer. Good money says the cause is a plugged drain tube. I had a Subzero that suffered a similar problem. The factory installed drain tube was a flexible coil type and food particles would be easily caught, compromising water flow - leading to an ice plug and eventual evaporator ice-over. I replaced the factory tube with 1/4-inch rubber fuel line and the problem went away for good. With the Maytag units, if memory serves, access to the drain tube is from the back of the unit. You have to remove an access panel to get to it. There is typically a small removable rubber restrictor cap on the bottom of the tube; this is the most likely spot for a clog to form. Due to its design, IMO, clogging and ice-over will probably be a periodic thing. If you are really handy, you can do this maintenance thing yourself.

I bought this washer about 6 months ago and I seem to get clothes that just arent clean and have marks on my dress pants and my whites are awfully dingy. Never have I ever had white things that didnt stay white. I honestly would never buy this type of washer again. I am actually hoping that there is a way to at least change the water level. Also I hate the fact that I cant add bleach to the water before the clothes and to let the bin fill and mix correctly. I dont think the bleach even gets to the clothes.

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

The Aqua lift cleaning system is a complete joke. Have had to replace oven light bulb 6 times in 11 months. Control panel is completely discolored. Expected far more from a Maytag product.

I purchased an emerald green washing and dryer (MHW4200BW) by Maytag. Unfortunately, my washing machine broke and I bought the extended warranty. After many visits from the repair company, it was determined that one of the parts needed was on back order indefinitely. Maytag decided that they would replace the washing machine. Sounds like a fair and good deal, however, the washing machine that they are going to replace my unit with is of a different color. Apparently someone in upper management at Maytag made a business decision to stop selling this particular color unit with little to no regards to the customers that had already purchase their product in that color. Had I known that they were going to discontinue the color, then I would have stuck with a standard color like white. At least I would not be faced with having a mismatch unit now because Maytag will not replace both units. To make matters worse, my washing machine and dryer is on the first floor right off my kitchen. It is not stuck in the basement way from company, etc. I am so disappointed in Maytag and their lack of consideration for their customers.

These machines have lots of service problems, although Im not familiar with the newer models. The function and the features are adequate, and typical. And overall, again, I have no complaints other than shortly after purchasing, there was a circuit board recall for these machines, and fortunately, I had a repairman who knew of the issue, and guided me to a cost free fix. Overall, it has served the purpose well of cleaning my clothes in a decent fashion.

Paint bubbling & peeling off appliance: I purchased new double convection oven from Lows (Maytag). One month after delivery, paint began to bubble and peel off. Maytag takes the position that as long as the oven functions properly, the paint is simply cosmetic and the warranty does not cover cosmetic problems. Maytags position is that even if all the paint peels off but the appliance still functions properly, too bad for you!

In April 17, 2015, I purchased another Maytag microwave but wanted the convection oven too from Home Depot. The convection fan quit working in January 2017. I called Maytag to ask how this was covered. Maytag only has 1 year warranty on parts and labor. So basically if you dont buy an extended warranty, you are stuck with a product that quits working. Apparently, Maytags work is only good for 1 year or they would have a longer warranty. I told the Rep this when I spoke to him. He told me they normally last 5-7 years. Wow, still not acceptable. He said I had two options. Maytag could send out a repairman and it would cost almost $300. The other option was just as ridiculous. I told him I paid almost $500 to start with and it only lasted 21 months. Of course he said if I had bought extended warranty it would have helped. If I paid $500 for an oven, why should I have to pay more to cover their bad workmanship?!! I am very disappointed in the quality and price of this convection oven. The bad thing is I bought all new Maytag stainless steel appliances in 2016 to match the convection oven. The products I replaced had been in my home for 12 years with no problems.

I too had to replace the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher which I purchased in 2007. I was told by my repairman to contact Maytag to see if they would do anything for me. When I called Maytag, I asked them if there were any issues with the control panels as I had heard there have been multiple issues with them needing to be replaced. I was told they had no record of any complaints and offered to sell me an extended warranty for $269, but there was nothing else they could do for me. I ultimately had my repairman order the part and it was replaced. My repairman did say Maytag did upgrade the panel because of all the issues they were having with the panel. Hopefully, they have fixed the problem and it will not have to be replaced again. But if it does, I will not replace it again. I will look into a new dishwasher and definitely not a Maytag. Yes, I would be interested in joining a class action suit.

We moved into a new house and the GE washer died after the first week, then the Whirlpool replacement died after two weeks. Decided to try the Maytag which the store gave us for $50 more than the Whirlpool. It runs like a champ. At least two loads of laundry a day every day and sometimes weekends. Clothes come out perfect, no damage and the machine is quiet.

Product: Maytag MFI2665XEM Ice2O 25.5. Bought this refrigerator on Feb. 2013 at Home Depot. Maytag cannot repair the heat exchanger as it is a discontinued model. Our only option: Purchase another comparable current model refrigerator with a full price of $2,199.00. It will be sold to us for a discount price of $1,308.00 with free delivery. NJ tax and installation not included. This is a two year old refrigerator with orig over $2000. We had requested for a repair since August 2015. We had spoiled food expenses and rented a temporary refrigerator. Numerous attempts to repair and order the parts to no avail. The excuse is either they ordered the wrong part and eventually was told its been discontinued. Our warranty was automatically canceled. We have spent numerous hours with the Maytag customer service and was given a promise to find the part overseas as well to get the appliance fixed. Finally, this morning of November 2, 2015, we were given the final Im sorry and this is all we can offer you, to buy another refrigerator from us. It appears that this is a defective model but we have not received any recall letters or warning about it. This needs to be addressed as this is an unacceptable practice and deceiving to the consumers, and certainly unfair for people like us who work very hard to pay for this appliances. We cannot afford another $1500 refrigerator. We are now stuck with this worthless, stainless steel junk in our kitchen.

My Maytag refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot less than 3 years ago. It is a French door, bottom freezer draw model #MFI2569VEA1. Every four days, there is a huge puddle of water at the base of the unit and it is starting to ruin my ceramic tiles. I tried the online video solutions to no avail. Home Depot wont repair it, they told me to contact Maytag. Maytag wants me to purchase a $375 warranty, which is 30% of what I paid for the refrigerator. I will never buy a Maytag refrigerator again, or any Maytag product for that matter. They once stood for solid reliability and peace of mind, now you get a piece of junk instead. I cant even sell it on Craigslist if I wanted to because who would want it? If a class action suit is ever initiated, Ill be on board. I hope Consumer Affairs contacts me.

Called Maytag to set up service call at around 9am for my washer, was given a rate of $129.00. Thought it was High but it was my only off day and felt confident that it would be a reputable company. If Maytag Priority Service would refer A&E Factory Service to me for service they must be a reputable company. I was sadly disappointed after numerous calls to A&E Factory service, a 5 hour window was not met and they were not concerned other than they would document it. Then I find out that A&E Factory Service has a Rating of 1 1/2 Star rating out of 5 and thousands of complaints to BBB and Consumer Affairs, dropped by Lowes for horrible customer service but Maytag Priority Service recommends them to service their product, says Volume on how Maytag takes care of their Valued customer after the sale. Maytag has lost a customer for life. A product without customer service and trust is nothing but a piece of metal!!!! I will be picking another Brand that doesnt use A&E. Maytag you have lost my trust and you cant buy that back.

I have had my washer and dryer for 14 months and from day one, my washer eats holes in my clothes. It is always the bottom center front of my shirts. I complained about this and was told it was my clothes. They were either old, or the type of fabric, or too much bleach, etc. etc. Everything was wrong with myclothes except the washer. I purchased a new shirt and washed it without ever had worn it, and when I took it out of the washer, it has holes in the front. NOW YOU TELL ME that is the shirt and not the washer. I have used Maytag for the past 40 years and I never had any problems with the old Maytag washers. This new Bravos is a piece of junk and I am sorry I ever purchased it. I will never buy another Maytag product.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWB2 in Dec. 2011 from Home Depot after a major flood destroyed my entire first floor of my house. I had replaced a previous dishwasher only a short time before the flood. This dishwasher is JUNK. I was lucky I bought a five year extended warranty on it which actually gave me 6 years. I needed it. Within a year the control panel went. Then water started spraying out the side of door. Then it sounded like it was crushing ice every time I ran it. Then the control panel went out again. Ice noise came back again. Control panel a 3rd time. It runs for hours as it is.Now the warranty is expired and last time I ran it the start light was blinking a few hours later. We were having high winds on and off so I thought maybe the power went on and off and that’s why it was blinking. Today I turned it on and after about 45 minutes I realized I didn’t hear it running anymore so I got up and looked and sure enough it wasn’t on. Normally the clean light is lit when done. I opened the dishwasher to see it filled with water still. I tried to hit cancel/drain but nothing works yet again. Wonderful news for a single mom that can’t afford to fix this over and over! Maytag is the worse company. Their dishwashers are horrible and they should be doing something about this as I’m not the only one that has had this issue. Home Depot was just as useless. Will NEVER buy again.

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

Washer stopped working, never did clean clothes. Out of warranty - some it is fix or buy a new one. DONT BUY!!

I bought a brand new refrigerator and about four months into using it, the freezer door began to become loose and opened by itself automatically. It also started to leak so I called the company continuously looking for a solution. However, they never resolved my problem. The company sent a technician. However he was unable to fix the problem. The technician said it was fine and did absolutely nothing. And now I am still waiting, but now your company says my warranty is up EVEN THOUGH I called much earlier and your company did NOTHING to help me. I need someone who can handle my problem. Ive been using your products for many years, and have always been satisfied by it. But this refrigerator has changed my perspective. I hope you give this a peace of mind and treat your other customers better.

Well I must say I concur with all previous posts. I just replaced my Bravos with a Samsung after my jet plane of a washer died. My repair guy said it was not worth it to fix it. I had already replaced the shocks two years ago but I did have mine for 8 years. I have had the same problems as previous posts - rust, smell, holes, broken, too expensive! Hello to Samsung!!

Totally DISGUSTED!!!! Have owned my range for several years! Love have double ovens, however it is double the repair!!!! Every year we must have the handles replaced as the connection loosens and handles fall off!

I ordered my dream refrigerator (Maytag Model MFT2776FEZ) on 05-12-2017. I had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive because it was on back-order. I was willing to wait. All was good for 6 months. January 2018, the six month old refrigerator quit cooling. It took 2 1/2 from the service call until the part came in to fix before I could use my refrigerator again. I lost all my food. The same thing happened again in March 2018 except that it took 4 weeks for the part to come in once the serviceman ordered it. I lost all my food for a second time. February 2019, the same thing happened again. I placed the service call on 01-31-2019 for service, but the tech could not come out until 2/6/19. The part had to be ordered and could not be installed until 2-28-2019. For the 3rd time, Ive lost my food. My best friend that has appliances that are nearly 30 years old. She was going to replace all of hers and get exactly what I ordered. She has changed her mind and has decided she would rather keep her outdated appliances because they work.

I purchased a set of Bravos 4 months ago and what a bad purchase! I wish I would have researched here first. Being environmentally concerned, I bought it because it was supposed to be high efficiency and low water usage. My clothes are being destroyed by this machine. They come out in a massive tangled ball, covered in ink and animal hair (after a wash or two, they are completely embedded into the fibers). Sometimes there are dry spots after I take a load out of the washing machine. No idea how that could happen. It torn my favorite sweater, ripped sheets, bore a hole in a towel, ripped pillows, and DOESNT EVEN CLEAN! I have to wash my clothes twice MANY times to get the dirt out which doesnt bode well for energy efficiency. Im calling them again today to try and get them returned for advertising that they will save me money. Not even close! They are a rip off! I gave my 35 year old set away and wish I had it back! Maytag is JUNK!!!

Oh my god, I feel your pain, folks. My mother is sick in the hospital while I try to maintain my house with this totally POS refrigerator!! 3 defrost cycles to remove ice and now the service guy tells me that compressor is shot, 6 week back order for parts!!! Just two years old!!! Also had the same water overflow issue to boot 1 year after getting it. Maytag (whirlpool)- youre killing me!!!!

Really havent had any problems. The Maytag repairman really is lonely. Great quality wash machines and dryers for that matter. I havent had to do anything. Spins well... Very quiet, no complaints. Dryer works well too. Many cycles area to put fabric softener and bleach. It has a extra extraction cycle and many other features.

Bravos XL - This machine purchased in 2014 at Home Depot service plan, needed major repairs just over a year old. Tech working on this machine replaced the whole tub assy after Maytag want to just do the cheap repair and just do a bearing kit. Reading online all the hundreds and hundreds of the same complains Maytag has done nothing in good faith to replace these junk washers!! My washer is now leaking under the washer less than a year after the last repair!! My good friend purchased the same machine and has had the same issues and his has been down for weeks because the poor service person from Maytag service broke some of the new parts! Now the washer is leaking again. WHAT can be done. This not right!!! Public needs to be warned about these flawed machines and Home Depot is still promoting these Junk machines!!!

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

After seeing all the bad reviews about Maytag I decided to write my review, we purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 1990 when moving into our new home, and we still have the same set. Now it does not have a motherboard which I feel today is the major problem with most appliances. Get away from the motherboards. Turn the machine on and off when its supposed to, or let it run its Cycles. Dont overfill, because this causes wearing motor parts. The dryer belt wore out on the dryer but that was an easy replacement. Im a woman of 64 and get it myself. Maytag I hope that you get back to the plain ol simple washer and dryer because mine is probably going to wear out which I hope not but I would so love to get the same set I got now.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer 18 months ago. While taking clothes out of my washer, I noticed that the plastic collar above the washtub was shredding around the edges. I called the manufacturer about it. Because it was more than 12 months old, they refused to do anything about it. I feel that shouldnt happen so soon after purchase. Im a single person and dont do that much laundry. The piece should be made of something more durable. I will never buy another Maytag product. Is there anything further I can do to pursue this?

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model mdb4709aww1) from our local appliance store. A little over one year after purchase, the control panel (part w10254834) stopped working. Our appliance store replaced it. They charged us for the part but not for a service call. Its been two years since the new control panel was replaced and it just stopped working. Now, we have to pay $275.00 for the new part and service call. My previous dishwasher lasted twenty years and we never had a problem. I thought Maytag was a quality product. Sadly mistaken!!

I purchased Maytag gas range in March 2011 at Home Depot, Model No. MGR5605WWO. I received the product in May 2011. The porcelain on the grates chips away leaving large grooves in grate, which affects cooking efficiency, (the fire burns erratically). First, I called 1-800-688-9900. The grates were replaced. And then same problem, it was replaced again, and again the same problem. The warranty to cover stove was extended by 6 months. The enamel on the round magnetic cover for the burner is also chipping away. I was told that this chipping of the enamel is a cosmetic problem and does not affect the functionality of the stove problem.A repair technician was sent out at my request to see firsthand the problem grates. I was told by him that if it occurred again, the manufacturer needs to be made aware of the defective grates. He noted that the enamel covering on the grates was not uniform. I have been told by Maytag supervisor today that she will get back to me within 3-5 days and let me know what is going to be done. I have had gas ranges before, but this is the first time this problem has occurred and its continuation is unacceptable. Is there anything further I can do to ensure I have stove grates that do not chip continuously?

I purchased this oven in April 2015. I have had nothing but problems with the unit. The temperature is off. I have had the probe replaced in July and will be done again next week (January 26, 2016). The AquaLift self-cleaning feature does not work. I ran the self-cleaning feature about 8 times and back to back on several occasions. The service providers stated that it really doesnt work and there is nothing they can do about it. The front of my oven, above the vent, is stained from the oven exhaust. They said there is nothing they can do about that either. The last service company that came out for a service call to check the oven temperature came without the proper tool to check the temperature and ended up snapping the propane line. I was given 6 month of a free extended warranty for my inconvenience and told that the company does not replace models. They will continue to come out and repair them. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again.
