Dishwasher is around two-three years old and it will not start or drain. From what I can tell on the internet, this touch-pad control panel has been an ongoing problem for Maytag. Will try to fix myself, and if I cant fix it, I will buy a new dishwasher but not a Maytag. By the way, my washer and dryer both went out this year - five years old and both are Maytags. Stay away from this brand.

We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag may have been king in the 60s, but the quality of their products has tanked. Dont waste your money on their products.

We purchased this terrible machine 2 years ago. The clothes come out worse than when they went in! White powdery stuff all over darks! I always have to wipe all dark pants down with a wet cloth! Absolute junk! Really bad product! Never buying from this company again!

It does not matter what mode you select, every single piece of clothing comes out a scrunched up wrinkled mess. I have to wash all clothing in bulky sheets mode because it is the only mode where the clothing actually gets submerged in the water. This washing machine is extremely loud and it is without a doubt, the worst purchase I have ever made. I have never written a review before, but this product is so horrible and frustrating. If I can persuade one person not to purchase one, I feel that I have done a good deed.

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL MCT Washer from Lowes in Oct of 2016. We had cycle issues with it in Sept of 2018 and called the Appliance Repair Service. IT was determined that the Electronic Control board and UIC was bad and needed to be replaced. Estimated cost - +$700.00. We bought Maytag because we thought it was dependable. Not so. Less than two years of use and repairs are more than we paid for machine ($639.00). Receipt would not upload.

We purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. The thermostat control (a circuit board made in China) broke and was replaced in 2012 by a certified repair person. He reminded me to dust underneath regularly, which Ive done. A couple of weeks ago I noticed some darkening of my wood floor to the left of the refrigerator and so I pulled it out from the wall a bit. What I saw was that my entire floor was wet and falling apart under the left side and when I looked into the freezer, I pulled out the bottom basket and the bottom was covered in about an inch of ice.I called, posted on Facebook and was put on hold several times for as long as 20 minutes before I hung up. I called Home Depot and asked them to intervene and speak to a rep from Maytag. I have heard nothing. There is black mold in the corner of my kitchen and a soaked floor that may go way beyond. I googled the leak and apparently this is very common with Maytag French Door refrigerators. I have a meeting with an attorney. Getting through to Maytag is seemingly impossible unless you have hours to wait on the phone. We have been getting sick for months and not knowing the cause.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. So now I am trying to figure out what I can do but afraid I am going to replace it. Would Not recommend this product. Bravos XL MCT MVWB835DW1.

On June 17, 2013, we purchased this over the stove microwave for my elderly parents. They use it daily to heat their lunches. In December 2014, it would stop turning and finally in January 2015 it completely died... no heating and no turning. The technician quoted a repair at $200 when we only paid a little more to purchase it. I emailed Maytag to tell them that it was manufactured and purchased in 2013 with light use and that it should never have died in such a short period of time. An e-Solutions Specialist contacted me to tell me that they certainly understand my frustration, but that occasionally failures occur and that there was nothing they could do. I replied back that they could DO something because they were customer service and that was there job. No reply back yet, but after seeing so many of the same issues here, Im not holding my breath and I would never buy or recommend a Maytag product of any kind to anyone. I dont expect 15 years from an appliance, but I certainly think 18 months is just wrong.

My refrigerator stopped working less than two weeks after purchase. The ice maker failed to produce ice. I feel they sold me a lemon. Yes, I do!

This unit is only 4 months old. It freezes everything, vegetables, eggs, etc. It took more than 3 weeks for the technician to show up at my door!! Performed a service modification according to the manufacturer specs. This did not work!! Call again to have a it fix. He show up almost 2 weeks later. This time he replaced a part, worked fine for almost 2 weeks. Now I am having the same problem. I had it with this Maytag piece of junk!! I will never buy anything from Maytag again!! PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY... IN MAYTAG PRODUCTS!

I purchased a Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer at Home Depot for over $900. Within months, the board went out. The repairman said that they didnt even know how to fix it yet - no training. The board was out again. This time, it was not under warranty. The repair costs $779 including part and labor. There were numerous other little problems along the way that we did repair, but now, forget it.

I purchased my Maytag HE washer from Home Depot. I immediately started getting spots on my clothes that looked like bleach had taken the color out. After trying 3 times to get a tech to my house, he came in and looked at it a few minutes. He said nothing was wrong and to run a cup of water through it. I called back the next day (5/17/11) and told them Im still having problem. They told me to call the appliance team and have a different tech come out. I called and left a message. No one called me back. I called the next day and asked for a supervisor (Kitty), who gave me specific numbers to call. I called an appliance repair, who was leaving on vacation and gave me yet another person to call. Finally, I got Scott out to look at the washer on 5/27/11. He said the only thing he sees wrong is it got very sudsy, so use less soap. I started using the smallest amount of soap and diluting it with water, running the washer on the bulky cycle and running water through the machine if I ever used bleach. Did it solve the problem? No. Finally in December 2011, the machine ruined a very expensive shirt. I called Maytag and was informed that if a tech comes out, I would have to prove the machine has failed or they would charge me. I have contacted Maytag and informed them of everything, including all of the damaged clothes. I was told they could not compensate for consumer error. I informed them the only error I made was buying a Maytag product, and I will never make that expensive error again.

I purchased this Maytag washer/dryer set in February 2017 and I am very, very happy with it. This is a brand that has proven dependable for more than 80+ years. This is a low water washer that saves money on energy bills. I love the extra large capacity and was very concerned how well it would clean without an agitator. But having confidence in the name, which is why I purchased this set, I was very pleased with the cleaning power. The only disadvantage I see is with the soak cycle which is timed. I would like to have an option to soak indefinitely. So if you are trying to remove blood stains, you may have to use the soak cycle a few times before all the blood is removed. (Assuming that you are only using cold water and no additives.)

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

We bought a new Maytag top load washer March 2018. July of 2021 it starts making the worst racket Ive ever heard. I thought at first that there was a dog being killed by another animal. As I ran to the door I realized it was my washer. Long story short, repair guy said itd be cheaper to just buy a new washer. Maytag did nothing to help us resolve the issue of a 3 yr old machine totally useless. We bought this machine because we thought it would last for years. I mean their commercial shows the repair guys doing nothing because Maytags never need service. My new machine is not a Maytag. No more Maytags for me.

I emailed Maytag https://www.maytag.com/contact-us/ about my model number MBL2258XES3 Fridge on Dec 31. They scheduled a local appliance repair company and they came out today, Jan 5 and did the repair and defrosted the compressor and freezer compartment. 45 Mins is all it took. Thanks Maytag.

This dishwasher is extremely quiet and very attractive in the kitchen. Easy to use and does a great cleaning job. The price was also right. Would definitely buy again.

I purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer March 2021, I have owned past Maytag washer and dryers, thinking they were the top of the line products, not this time, The washer, I put the clothes in barely covers the clothes, so I put it on deep water wash, when the clothes are all done, they look like they did when I first put them in the washer, dirty clothes, whites are dirty, towels look like they got dirt spots on them. The machine makes really weird noises, my little dog starts to shake, gets so scared, she runs under the bed and wont come out. The dryer, makes a very loud buzzer sound, she gets so nervous, when she hears it, she jumps up into my husbands arms shaking. I will never buy a Maytag washer and dryer ever again, they are totally different then the old ones, they had a good product and ruined it.

I had a Maytag dishwasher (made by Whirlpool) that after 4 months of ordering wrong parts, parts arriving damaged, and parts that were re-engineered and did not match up, the dishwasher could not be fixed. The extended warranty people (AIG) promised me twice on a recorded telephone call that they would exchange my dishwasher, and after many many heated telephone conversations was given a 20 minute lecture on how the word exchange does not mean they will replace it. The frustration ultimately overtook my misspent loyalty in anything made by Whirlpool and I decided to accept the buyout of my extended warranty contract, at a loss of hundreds of dollars to me - well worth getting rid of that dishwasher and any further affiliation with Whirlpool corporation. Absolutely horrible customer service. Unbelievably god awful treatment. I dont know what happened to customer service at Whirlpool, but my dealing with them has convinced me that the term is an oxymoron at Whirlpool. Horrible horrible customer service. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I truly dont know how they can still be in business if they treat their customers like they did me.

I bought the dishwasher (Model MDB7749AWM) 15 months ago and paid $490.00. I had to put a new console in it ($245.00) on 07/16/2012. So that’s $735.00. Two days ago, the console went out again! I’m not putting $245 more in it! I called Maytag’s office. They more or less told me that was my problem! I am throwing that piece of junk away! And I’m buying a different brand. Maytag does not stand behind their product. Last Maytag I will buy! Warning! Do not buy Maytag!

I called Maytags customer service about an over the range microwave that was bought 2 years ago and barely used. The mechanism in the microwave on the latch for the door, clicked into the body of the unit and therefore the door does not register closed which doesnt allow it to come on. After explaining this issue to the customer service rep, she insisted that the only thing that Maytag would stand behind was the part if needed. A service call would be between $100 - $150. The microwave isnt even that old and why would Maytag not stand behind a like new unit? I bought 3 Maytag products and I am now regretting it. I had asked to speak to a supervisor and she just proceeded to repeat the same thing the sales rep did. They will only cover the cheap part if needed.What happened to Maytag being top of the line? Apparently they dont care about standing behind their products and would rather you buy an expensive extended warranty to cover their cheaply made appliance. I think they should be under review as a company. I would somewhat understand paying if my appliance was 5 to 10 years old. But its basically new. How is there no protection for customers when it comes to purchasing lemons from an appliance dealer? I will NEVER buy Maytag again and plan on selling my 2 other newly purchased appliances before they have issues. Maytags reviews on social media are terrible. All they offer are the words Im sorry and I understand your frustration. I assume thats just what they have written down in front of them to tell everyone who calls with issues. I reviewed lots of reviews, and decided that the negative reviews ones were sour grapes or uninformed customers! WRONG! Do not buy this washer. I replaced a 16 year old Frontloader Bosch! Should have had the Bosch repaired, but wanted a topload for a change, new look etc. From day 2 the washer began to squeal during the early cycle and at the end as well. Maytag repair was out for an unrelated repair on another appliance. I told the tech about it and he suggested its brand new etc, give it time to settle in.Now 4 months in and another service call to tell me its nothing!! It squeals so loud I can not run it while in the next room. I have videoed it and sent it to the Maytag repair in Glenwood Springs, and he said I should load it only full enough to see the impeller at all times!!!! Forget a full load of work clothes or a pillow or blanket. Which is to be expected to be able to wash. He said I needed to spread the clothes out manually along the outer sides of the TUB only, prior to washing the clothes! not over the impeller. I am not kidding! This is a open tub, so the impeller is the little thing in the middle on the bottom. I advised him, I videoed the event and even with three socks in it for a test it still squeals like a (well you get the idea). Trying to get Maytag help, but nowhere. Matching dryer door hinge broke first week, it has been repaired. Not good quality at all for the top of line Maytag. Then Maytag Man must be busier these days, than of old.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher delivered in dec 2012. We are snowbird Canadians and the dishwasher is only used 5 months per year. Jan 2015 the control panel quit working and the repairman tells me the wires on the control panel have started to melt down. He called Maytag and was told they had extended the warranty on this machine for one more year. Missed it by 2 months. Considering this was only really used one year, I am very disappointed. How can an extended warranty on a safety issue only be for one year? This is my first Maytag product and will be my last. I only purchased it because I was told Whirlpool bought them out and I have never had a problem with Whirlpool.

I bought a Maytag washer 3 years ago. Maytag gave me a number for one of their warranty service repair shops in my area. The first repair service doesnt even respond to my calls. The second repair service is a total ripoff. So in summary, Im stuck with a 3 year old washer that has a broken drive assembly that the warranty wont cover.

We bought this Maytag dishwasher two years ago with a two year warranty. We paid close to $700. Six months after we bought it, it started having problems on and off. They are including: leaking water, lights going on and off, cycles are not completed. We changed the console once, and soon after that it broke down again, and this time is out of warranty. Total repair times are: 6 times in two years. My husband call the company, asked them if there is a recall for this model? They told that there is no recall. Then the repair person came. According to his repair experience he said this is the common problem and he got a lot of calls for the same problem. If he told the truth about this, then the company was lying to its consumers!!

Oh my god, I feel your pain, folks. My mother is sick in the hospital while I try to maintain my house with this totally POS refrigerator!! 3 defrost cycles to remove ice and now the service guy tells me that compressor is shot, 6 week back order for parts!!! Maytag washer, top loader, Bravo series: We purchased Maytag washer and dryer 4 years ago. Last week, the washer started sounding like a 747 was landing in our laundry room. Maytag sent a service representative and informed us that the bearings were faulty and it would cost at least $800 to fix. It is appalling that a 4 year old appliance should fail like this. We will buy a different make and we will never buy any Maytag appliance again. This is such poor quality and worse service. Maytag would only offer a 30-40% off a washer, but only if we bought it directly from them. We can get a better offer from any local store. They also said we could get a discount on the part we need, but not the service. Do not, I repeat, do not buy Maytag anything. You will regret the purchase.

After reading all the reviews I realize this is a wide spread complaint. After 2 1/2 years the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher will not work. You press the keys and hope for the best. I am thinking of going to the media with my complaint. Maybe we will all get some sort of refund or upgrade.

After only 4 years, the door handle of my $1200 range simply fell off. This seems to be a common problem with this range (Maytag Gemini Electric Double Oven), but what is inexplicable is why a part that perhaps is exposed to the most amount of pressure on a daily basis (opening and closing the oven door) would be held on with a plastic fitting! It seems like planned obsolescence to me. Apparently, the part is $100 (once shipping is included) from Maytag and for that I get the pleasure of taking the entire door apart to install it! Garbage.

Ice maker flaps open and closed and lights flash. Bought brand new lasted a couple years. Lots of people are having the same issue according to internet and nothing is being done by Maytag to help except offer repair at half the cost of new fridge! Junk!!

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Not a good value for the money!! That was the first time and last time I buy a Maytag... Thats the last $5000 they will get from us!

My Maytag refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot less than 3 years ago. It is a French door, bottom freezer draw model #MFI2569VEA1. Every four days, there is a huge puddle of water at the base of the unit and it is starting to ruin my ceramic tiles. I tried the online video solutions to no avail. Home Depot wont repair it, they told me to contact Maytag. Maytag wants me to purchase a $375 warranty, which is 30% of what I paid for the refrigerator. I will never buy a Maytag refrigerator again, or any Maytag product for that matter. They once stood for solid reliability and peace of mind, now you get a piece of junk instead. I cant even sell it on Craigslist if I wanted to because who would want it? If a class action suit is ever initiated, Ill be on board. I hope Consumer Affairs contacts me.

I absolutely do not like the fact that you can’t choose what size load you have. The washer wants to do it for you but it is not very good at it. You have to fool the washer to get any kind of water level or just use the deep fill every time which is what I do in order to get the clothes clean! This defeats the whole purpose of trying to save water. Also there are too many settings. I mean we’re just washing clothes here not flying a jet. I personally would prefer dials instead of the digital instrument panel. So much easier.

It’s the worst washer I have ever encountered! I never have clothes that smell clean. The water seems to never completely spin out, the spin cycle is terrible!!! My whole house shakes when it’s spinning and the noise coming from it is so loud. The time on it is never correct; it will say there is 9 minutes left and then just go to 1 and quit! My clothes have never looked clean with this machine. And yes, I use very good detergents and everything else to try to help with no luck! The dryer just takes forever to dry anything. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase another Maytag again!

I have a basic Maytag dishwasher circa 2012. Not sure of the model number. It works well, no fancy features but everything you really need is there. My only real complaint is that the heat dry cycle always seems to leave the dishes a little wet, but thats common enough for dishwashers. It cleans nicely and hasnt had any issues or breaks in 3+ years. Basic. Three wash cycles (light, normal, heavy); Extra rinse option, extra hot option, and heat dry or eco-dry (i.e. no dry). Nice big rinse aid dispenser. Its not that roomy inside. Id say the size is average. It looks nice - its white and unobtrusive. It works really well with Cascade dish pods. The bottom rack is kind of a pain if your plates are curved more than usual.

The Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT50AWW started having problems cleaning dishes after about 3 years. I usually had to clean them first before placing in the washer. About 6 months ago (5 years of owning), some of the control panel buttons stopped working. Finally, the Start button stopped. Replacement part and service is about $400 per local appliance repair shop. They recommended buying a new dishwasher. They stated that the touch control panels have reduced the life of dishwashers to about 5 to 7 years. However, I had seen testimonials on the web of dishwashers lasting on average 9 years - not Maytags. I will be avoiding Maytag for next purchase. I have seen too many complaints online about the control panels dying. I consider myself lucky as my panel died after 5 years while many reviews say theirs died right after the 1-year warranty.

We bought our refrigerator 14 months ago and it has a 10 yr limited parts warranty. Both the freezer and refrigerator quit working, right after we spent $600 in groceries. I called the warranty dept and the soonest they could get here to service it, was 9 days later cause they only go thru Diamond Preferred, to do the repairs. Then on the 9th day, Diamond Preferred calls to let us know that unfortunately, they cant get here to fix it until another 5 DAYS!! Two weeks with NO refrigerator and freezer, is ridiculous. They should pay another repair place to come out instead of just relying on the ONE!! Our food is now ruined, $600 worth. And to top it off, weve had to eat out costing us more money, and then once its finally fixed, we have to go buy more groceries. I will NEVER buy a Maytag appliance, ever again!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749AWW1) just over a year ago from Sears. I did not get an extended warranty since the appliance wasnt over $1,000 and I thought I would take my chances. Sure enough, about one month after the warranty expired, it all falls apart. There is something wrong with the control panel and I cant get anything to work. Ive been looking online and see that this is a common problem. So rather than throw more dough into the money pit, Im purchasing a new, simple, uncomplicated GE Americana washer from Home Depot for $279. I figure this will cost me less than going through the repair dance with Sears and Maytag. I will never purchase an appliance from Sears again. Ive been through the mill already with a $2,000 Jenn-Air range that has broken down five times in the past three years (2 times it was the control panel). I was lucky that I purchased the 5 year extended warranty on that one, but never, ever again will I deal with Sears.

My Daughter got me a Maytag oven with the AquaLift technology and is a piece of Junk. Half the time the Water is still there when the cycle is over. The water has made it between the front glass pieces and the finish on the top of the stove looks horrible, it just looks dirty. The knobs are cheap and the fake chrome finish is flaking off. Unfortunately Im stuck with it because I cant afford a new one... this was a gift to me because Im disabled and it was to make my life easier.

I have been the latest victim in purchasing a Maytag Refrigerator. Something needs to be done about the defective products they are putting on the market. I received 9/7/13 (yesterday) a new Model FW: 555 Complaints and Reviews about Maytag Refrigerators bottom freezer refrigerator. After being plugged in for 3 hrs, the temp was 60 degrees.. After 8 hrs same and 24 hrs same. I lost everything because of the defect. I notified the store 3 hrs after purchasing it and because I had it delivered on a Saturday I have to wait till Monday to get this resolved. I want everyone to read before buying a Maytag product.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator (MBR2258XES4) from Home Depot in 2012. I bought a five year extended warranty. It started leaking at the bottom. Repairmen said defrost drain clogged not covered! Cost: $180. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG, N.E.W. (Asurion Co.) warranties or Home Depot appliances! This is text book deceptive advertising. At no time did Home Depot associates in Kitchen and Bath departments say that this common design flaw existed and that it was not covered under the N.E.W. Asurion warranty which cost me an an additional $150.00! I am interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Home Depot and Asurion Co (N.E.W.) warranties.

We spent over $1,200 on a Maytag washer on 12/2015 and it did not work properly. The door got locked, had a couple loads moldy because we could not get it open. Didnt drain either. Maytag had someone come look at it 3 times and it still didnt work. Called Maytag and now they told me that they cant do anything about it because is not under their 1 year guarantee. And of course they are very sorry for my unfortunate inconvenience. I thought they had a good honest reputation but... Im just disappointed!

The freezer leaks water onto the floor in large pools. Had it repaired, two weeks later, still leaks. Very unhappy with the performance of the bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator.

We inherited this Maytag (Model MGR7662WW) when we bought our house this year. I love this unit. It cooks accurately, its easy to clean and its just rock solid in its performance. I never worry that the cook times are going to be off either. The oven racks are solid and the overall look is nice. Our friends and family love the center grill as much as we do. If I need to pull something off the burner I dont worry that Ill scratch the stove top with this feature. The oven heat is also pretty contained. Our old oven radiated lots of heat through the top. This one doesnt and thats a huge plus. The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is that the grills are cracking (not the center one). However, I have no way of knowing if the original buyer damaged them or if its a defect in materials. They still work fine but I will need to replace them at some point. Given the cost of replacing them Ill wait as long as I can.

I purchased a Maytag Microwave Oven MMV5208 WS 1 from Home Depot less than two years ago. Mine was actually manufactured in April 2013 according to the ID tag. A couple of months ago it started acting up because a switch when the door closes began to malfunction and you had to open and close the door several times to get the microwave started. Then all of a sudden when you set the timer and pushed the start button it would flash on and immediately shut off. This is extremely frustrating because I paid more than $400.00 and purchased it less than two years ago. I am disappointed because Maytag advertises its reliability and this microwave is anything but reliable.

Lets be real and say that people with good experiences dont often end up on websites writing reviews because they are busy enjoying their product! I purchased my set in early 2012 and will admit that initially there was a learning curve with using a washer with no agitator. I enjoy doing laundry and Im really good at it but with this washer I had to change my routine. Always pretreat stains. Deposit clothes loosely around the drum and shake clothes loose before putting them in the dryer. My clothes come out great! I have a child, two dogs and a greasy truck driver man and everyones clothes smell great. I can wash my king bedspread and anything else in my house with no issues. And my washer has never torn any of my clothing, however fragile. I dont iron often and I hand wash nothing.I give 4 stars instead of five for the extra steps to ensure my clothes are clean and wrinkle free. No they dont make things like they used to but thats with all the new stuff. My moms 3000 dollar Samsung set (her washer) isnt working as I write this. Too bad more people with good experiences dont get online and share. Hope this has been helpful.

Hello, I bought the above top load Maytag washer last summer and shortly after purchase the spin cycle was accompanied by a load grinding noise. This became progressively worse per use and I contacted Maytag Canada. The experience calling is a challenge with often busy, and at times long waits. When I did get through on the line they were very good customer-service-wise and arranged for a local accredited company to attend my home and assess the problem. Service visit number one resulted in the lack of parts to fix, so I waited two weeks for the next visit with appropriate parts. Washer began to grind again, I called Maytag, another appointment was set, service call #2 again resulted in the SAME parts being replaced as service #1, and upon departure the washer immediately resumed grinding. Call #3 to Maytag and a 4th visit was scheduled to my home. This time with a different service provider, parts changed washer not fixed. Maytag called and this time I asked for replacement. Three weeks later I received a new washer. The version was updated so the drain hose no longer reached my drain pipe. Once sorted out, my first wash today with the new unit and GGGRRRIIINNDDDING.. I would not recommend this product. Will be calling Maytag again Monday.

We are an extra-large family, and required an extra-large washing machine to handle our needs efficiently. We thought paying quite a bit more for the reliable Maytag brand name would be a good investment and worth it over the years... HA!!!! The Bravos XL model has turned out to be a major disappointment! It gives no manual control over the water level and you can actually have things come out of a load dry! The loads continually become unbalanced. Clothing is continually damaged - rips, tears, shreds. Wrinkles everything... even jeans?! Even with proper amount of detergent use and frequent affresh tab cleanings, the clean washer reminder light repeatedly comes on. It leaks from the bottom, although we cannot determine why or exactly where the leak is originating! It is a seriously frustrating, substandard product, and I cannot believe Maytag (and Sears, where we bought it) is continuing to sell this machine (and may I add at a crazy high price)! Both of these companies should be ashamed of themselves for peddling such poor quality washers and leaving their customers so dissatisfied! Stay clear of the Bravos XL!

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. I’m guessing Whirlpool is part of them so please do your research before you buy. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.) 2. Misleading warranty coverage. 3. Will not call you back.4. Try to extort more money from you. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model MDB7609AWW1) from Sears on 09/11/2009. Its control panel failed twice in 3 years. In 02/2011, after just 17 months, the dishwasher wouldnt work. Nothing happened when I pressed the start button. I paid $294.39 ($129 for a new control panel plus labor) to have it fixed. Now, 17 months after the control panel was replaced, it has again crapped out with the same problem. I see by all the complaints here that this is a common problem. I wish I had read all these complaints before I had the control panel replaced the first time. Maytag, shame on you! Never again! I called Maytag and Sears, and as you would expect, they said, Sorry, its past the warranty period. When I buy my next dishwasher, it will not be a Maytag and it will not be from Sears.

Just like so many others, our Maytag 300 Quiet Series, just 2 years old, has a malfunctioning control panel. Repairman told us this has been an ongoing problem with Maytag dishwashers. Steam/water gets into the control panel.For a while it worked on and off and now it is dead. I am saving up to do the repair, but in the meantime the dishwasher sits idle.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDBTT60AWW3. Shortly after manufacturer warranty ran out, the control panel went out. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. The repair company came out and put a new control panel in it. Two months later, the control panel goes out again. The warranty firm sends out a different repair company. They replace the control panel again. This time it doesnt work. They replace some of the buttons as according to the repair person they arent registering the correct OHM reading. It works again. Yay!. A week later, its not working again. The repair company is coming back. This is really starting to get old. Between the multiple times it has broken down, waiting for the repair company to come out, diagnose the problem and order parts, we have been without a dishwasher for approx. 2 months the multiple times it has broken down. Im so fed up with this thing. I also will never ever buy another Maytag again. They need to have a major recall on these because of the terrible, terrible control panel. This isnt just me, its a lot of people.

In August of 2009, we had an opportunity to remodel our kitchen plus add new windows and doors. How exciting! SO we had put down new flooring in our kitchen that matched our oak cabinets and since we had a little money saved, we wanted to purchase new appliances to match. We purchased a Maytag side by side with ice and water in the door. It also had the fingerprint resistant stuff on the outside. It cost about $1300. You buy name brand so they will last a while but here we are November 12, 2014, 7 years later and the compressor goes out. If repaired, it will cost $8090 to fix. Why do I want another Maytag. My name is Luis ** and I own a Laundromat in Yuma, AZ. I recently purchased 10 Maytag top loaders model MVW18PDAWW in August, so the machines are practically new. They are the new HE top loaders with locking lids. Since I purchased them I have had nothing but trouble. Customers have complained about them on a regular basis; there are days when we have had as many as five complaints.First of all, the locking lids proved to be a much bigger problem than we anticipated. People want to open top loaders to add fabric softeners and when we have opened them so that they can add the fabric softener they are often disappointed with the level of water in the washer. Those people consequently refused to use those particular washers. People have pressed the buttons on the control boards and sent the machines into a loop; different readings have appeared on the screen. Some of them say out of order, sync and several other error codes. Eventually the machines reset themselves or I have had to reset the programming. In the meantime the people pass the word and those machines are not used by those who hear. The controls are too sensitive and are not suited to a commercial coin laundry.Whenever any buttons on the control board are pressed the time of the wash appears on the board. Because of this some people who are busy and are using and loading several washers claim that they have already put their money into the machines; they argue with the attendant or with us. Many times they actually believe that they have placed money in the machine and many times they try to get a free wash from us. Either way they are unhappy and they, and those who hear them argue, will not use those washers again. In most cases we lose them as customers and once customers are lost they never return.I placed them in a location where the previous Maytags had been heavily used, expecting them to replace the old machine. I was wrong. They are used very little and the long and short of it is that we are losing money and since our busy season is coming up, will be losing even more customers and therefore more money. I spent close to $12,000 on the machines, including delivery and installation and right now they are quickly becoming heavy paper weights. I have contacted the salesman who sold them to us, but he has given us the runaround and done nothing about the situation.

Disappointing that a Maytag would be a problem machine. Constantly out of balance when spinning and mediocre cleaning. Now it is spitting oil underneath. Am on my way to buy new machine with agitator.

Love my washer. Very durable. No issues with it in the last 4 years and I probably use it at least 5 days a week. Has lots of options to wash different types of items and mine is big enough to wash a full size comforter.

Replaced my leaking Samsung washer with a Maytag and I really regret the switch. What a piece of garbage. It has been service twice (thankfully within the first warranty year) due to Main control board failure. Seriously, these washers are good for nothing. Also, the Sanitize cycle doesnt do a good job from day one. Save your hard earned money and buy something else.

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

We trusted the Maytag name to give us a good product that would last. After six weeks the Maytag Bravo stopped working. Having to wait 7 days before a service repair person came to our home. The main motherboard needs replaced. So currently, we are still waiting for the part to arrive and have it installed. 2 weeks without a washer after spending 600.00 for a new washer. There is more problems also, this machine takes 1 hour to complete a single load of laundry. Plus it does not get the clothes clean and the rinse cycle does not get all the soap out of the clothes. Very unhappy with the Maytag Commercial Bravo. Will not buy another Maytag product. Save your money and get another brand. We plan to get this one fix and sell it.

We purchased this Maytag top load washer less than three years ago. Spin cycle stopped working and repair for new actuator motor is $240 (machine cost $500). I should have read Maytag’s reviews before we bought it (averaging about 2/5). Living on name - don’t buy one.

MDB8959SBB. Purchased this Maytag dishwasher late December 2013 and had it professionally installed on January 4, 2014. Could have burned down the house this weekend! Smoke everywhere! Thank goodness it was running during the day and not night so that we were able to shut off the power. Lights in the kitchen were blinking and smoke pouring out of the dishwasher. The house still smells of smoke. So disappointing. Ive always been a proud owner of the Maytag products. Never again. Especially after reading the reviews. Interesting enough, THIS dishwasher was purchased because of a recall on the PREVIOUS Maytag dishwasher I had trouble with. They gave me a credit to use towards my next purchase. Ive learned my lesson.

I bought a complete kitchen: stove, fridge, dishwasher microwave. Suppose to be stainless steel. All have rusted out within 6 months. Maytag does not stand behind their products. They sent me cleaners and all my appliances rusted more using their cleaners.

Do NOT buy a Magtag washer. I purchased a brand new washer from Lowes in 2017. The washer gets stuck in the wash cycle. When I called Lowes, they said to call Maytag, who sent a service person out. The service person recalibrated the machine never ran a cycle and left. We had to call two more times after this for the same reason with the same result where the serviceman left without running a cycle. This was all while the product was under warranty. Since I had three service calls, I called Maytag frustrated that this kept happening to a new product. I was told there was nothing they could do, but if it happens again to have the service guy come back out. When the warranty runs out, I will have to pay for the service tech. Unbelievable. Save your time, money and frustration and buy a Whirlpool! I dont know how Maytag gets away with selling defective products.

I have been using washing machines for 50 years. This is by far the worse piece of engineering I have ever used! On deep water wash, I would expect my clothes to be covered by water. I actually have to add by hand, four buckets of water and even then the clothes just float on top. The agitator NEVER pulls the clothes down to the bottom of the tub, they just move back and forth. The clothing that sits on top of the water, never gets totally submerged and is still on the top of the pile when the wash cycle is done. I will NEVER buy any MAYTAG product again. Lowes wont help me. I want to sell it, but in all good conscience, I cannot unload this on another person. I cant even feel good about donating it as it does not work...It is Junk!!!! Shame on Maytag for selling a scam. If there was any integrity in this company, someone would contact me and give me a better model.

Im really happy with my range. The only drawback is that the upper oven/broiler is a little on the small side. The five burners on top are convenient for when I am cooking a large family meal on weekends and holidays.

Would need 3rd panel for 8-year dishwasher - Either no lights come on the panel or Load done lights, like now. It has happened so many times over the years from about a year after spending a lot of money on a Quality unit. Many times I was able to operate it after turning the breaker off/on or leaving it to sit for a week or so, multiple times! Also, the rubber on the racks did not do so great - peeled and rusty. I did apply rubber repair multiple times, then got new racks at my expense. Several other brands bought over the years lasted 10+ years with no repairs!

Update 3/7/2018. I have been without a working microwave since 1/23/2018. Technician sent from Maytag came out to repair it and said he needed to order a new board and door switches. These items were installed on 2/26/2018 but did not solve the issue. The technician said the microwave needed to be re-wired completely and would schedule for the microwave to be removed and brought to shop where it would be repaired. After I called Maytag and explained the situation they told me they would replace the microwave (with the same model.) I called today to get an update on when the new microwave would be installed and they said not for another 14-21 days!!! After expressing my displeasure at the whole situation I was told by the Maytag representative that I could choose any new microwave model (under $399) from the lines of Maytag, Whirlpool, Armana, or Kitchen Aid. It would take about 14 days for delivery and they would schedule the installation at no additional cost to me. So now I am researching microwaves again!!! Ill update this review once the new microwave is installed.

I bought a Maytag refrigerator model MBB1953XEW three weeks ago. According to its features on the Maytag website, its supposed to be quiet (QuietSeries 100 sound package). Ha ha, make me laugh. Its the noisiest refrigerator Ive ever had. The repair guy checked it out this morning. He spent about 5 minutes running some sort of test with the help of his iPad. He then told me everything was perfectly alright, the noise was normal for a Maytag, and that I was going to get used to it.Needless to say, he had a totally condescending attitude. Its the first time I ever bought a Maytag. Previously, I had a General Electric that was noisy but not as much as the new Maytag. Prior to that, I had a good old Kenmore that was perfectly alright but that I had to give away for other reasons. This time I chose Maytag because I thought it was good quality and I wanted it to be very quiet. Well, nope. Next time, for sure, it wont be a Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer pair in 2009. Over those 5 years I have had at least 8 shirts come out of the washer with tears in the armpits. First I thought it was my armpits destroying the cloth. Then I thought it was cheap cotton (all my shirts are 100% cotton) from foreign manufacturers. Ive had two shirts destroyed this week, this mornings was really thick material. Usually when I remove clothes from the washer, they are entwined and twisted. Consistently when I wash any load including a towel or two, the washer becomes unbalanced. My clothes often have a foul odor after washing. My theory is that the lack of a center agitating spindle is allowing the clothes to tangle, and not really cleaning them. I have to use the extra rinse setting or the clothes come out covered with soap suds. In summary, Im not happy with this washer and will never buy another Maytag appliance. Im also not sure the high-efficiency technology has had all the kinks ironed out.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. Ive only had my Maytag Bravos XL Washer for two years and I HATE it. It constantly gets off balance during the rinse and spin cycle. What should take 30 minutes takes triple the amount of time. My washer is in the basement and I constantly have to run up and down the steps to readjust the clothes in the washer. Ive started to just stand by the washer now during the rinse and spin cycle. What a waste of time. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. Also, it does an awful job of rinsing out the detergent and softener. All of my dark colored pants have detergent and softener residue on them after they come out of the washer. Ridiculous!

I purchased a Maytag Bravos in October 2015 and a month and a half later the machine began to make a tweeting sound and the clothes were coming out incredibly wrinkled no matter what spin cycle I put it on. There were also times when the clothes came out totally dripping wet like they hadnt spun at all. I called Maytag and they sent out a technician from a local store which was not a Maytag store. When I told him what was going on, his response to the machine turning out very wrinkly clothes was, Well, why dont you just chose no spin. I said to him, So the clothes wont spin and I have to take out my clothes dripping wet? Doesnt that defeat the purpose of having a washing machine that spins? He didnt say anything to me.It turned out the machine needed a new gasket motor... after two and a half months... and it would take a week - minimum - before he would come back. Maytag sent me a survey which I filled out and they called a day later. They offered me a six month extended warranty for free. I explained to them that I didnt understand why something mechanical would break after two and a half months but the woman just kept apologizing.

WOW! I cant believe I bought a Maytag MDB7749AWM1 Dishwasher without reading any reviews. Paid $650 for it a couple of years ago and the control panel is bad. $390 to repair it, unbelievable! Sounds like Maytag has a major customer service problem because I will NEVER BUY A MAYTAG DISHWASHER again! Spent $5000 grand on new Maytag appliances thinking they were the best to replace the outdated ones. Not the same, not sure what youre doing Maytag but youre losing a lot of loyal customers. What a shame! My old dishwasher lasted over 18 years and I didnt have any problems. 2 years? Come on!!! Same problem as the other 5000 people, someone needs a career change!

Maytag Bravo washer and dryer delivered 2 days ago.My complaint is with the washer. I didnt know it was HE and that it requires special detergent! I didnt know the lid locks! I didnt know when I push the hot water button, the machine mixes in cold water! Complicated, delicate machine and not user-friendly. I dont expect the washer to last long.

I had bought Maytag Dishwasher MDBH979AWW3 in Sep. 2009. Oct 2011, the dishwasher stopped working and the control panel had to be replaced, few days later, it stopped working again and the Thermal fuse had to be replaced. Now two months later, it stopped working again. Till this point, Ive spent a lot of money on the repairs and I wish I had used that money to buy a new dishwasher. Looks like not just the Maytag dishwashers are faulty, but even the parts they have are faulty. I will not recommend any Maytag products to anyone.

Maytag Centennial 3.4 top-loader was purchased at Home Depot. It has never worked yet. On 4/28/12, the third weekend, I sat home for the servicemen to fix this junk machine. The first two times, the machine didn’t work ten minutes after they left and today they went to the wrong address. I have much more important things to do than to sit around and wait for someone to figure out what is wrong with this machine. It would have been cheaper for me to junk this brand new machine and buy a washer from a company that makes washers that work!

When our ice maker (Model # MF12269VEM10) stopped working, we contacted Maytag, only to be told that the 1-year warranty had expired. So we had no recourse but to contract a repairman. He replaced the valve (and in the process, because of Maytags decision to use plastic tabs instead of screws, the tabs for the filter housing broke off in his attempt to reach the rear of refrigerator where the valve went and we had to pay to have the housing replaced, also). The new valve did NOT fix the problem. Water continued to run out of the water dispenser after you removed your glass. We re-contacted the repairman who returned and proclaimed that there was air in the lines and it should work itself out over the next several days. Yet that night, I noticed drops of water running down the control center and filling the drip tray. I placed a towel on the floor and emptied the drip tray several times that night, before turning off the ice maker completely the next day.Unhappy with the original repairman, we contacted another who came out and discovered that the new valve was leaking from the top. That is when the filter housing broke and we had to use duct tape to hold it in place while the new repairman ordered a replacement. He tightened the valve and cycled the ice maker several times only to discover that the water overflow switch on the ice maker wasnt working, thus water was overflowing into the ice maker container. He turned down the water pressure to the refrigerator, and we tested it again. All seemed to be well until the next day when no ice was released from the ice dispenser. When I removed the ice storage bin, I found everything frozen from water overflow. I turned off the ice maker entirely and contacted the repairman, who ordered a new ice maker, which took about a week.After the new ice maker was installed, along with the new filter housing, the repairman cycled the unit several times before leaving. Yet by the next day, the ice in the storage bin was frozen in place again (I have pictures), and we contacted the repairman who ordered yet another ice maker. It took yet another week for the part to come in. After it was replaced, I monitored the ice container each time I heard ice drop into it. The 1st time there were a few drops of water in the bottom of the ice maker. The 2nd time, there was a 1/4 cup of water in the bottom. I immediately contacted the repairman to let him know and turned off the ice maker yet again.I find it hard to believe that a new valve, fresh from the package, and 2 (TWO) ice makers, fresh from the box, were all faulty. The repairs started on February 25th 2015. It is now March 21st and the ice maker is still not repaired. The 2nd repairman is doing his own research into the problem (for which we applaud him!) and now we ask you for your feedback as to the problem and how it can be solved.

This dishwasher is at 10 years old, but is a real workhorse. This machine cleans like no other! Never worry about our dishes being clean. But we have replaced the seal once.

I bought this machine in 2013 and within a year it had stopped going through any cycle. It turns off and I either have to restart a cycle or set the machine to rinse/spin. My clothes do not seem clean so I have begun handwashing them before putting them in the machine. I retrieve clothes and find some clothes dry. My towels have worn spots and threads pulled out. I cannot wait till I get a new washer because I am going to put this Maytag Bravos in the backyard and take a baseball bat to this hunk of junk.

Its about Maytag MDE7600AYW Atlantis electric dryer issues, Nov 2005 model. There is an obvious design flaw. I have replaced the automatic dryer control board twice since 2005. The unit simply never shuts off, or cooks your clothes for 2 hours. Who will recall this unit and fix the circuit? They will not admit their error.

Ten years ago I bought a very expensive set of Maytag Neptune Washer MAH5500BWW and dryer units with the single all-in-one pedestal. The washer starts sounding like a freight train during the fast spin dry cycle. A service tech came out, turned it on, listened, told me it is bad outer tub bearings going bad. And the price to fix is $846. Its essentially a throw-it-away deal. The tech says he has done hundreds of these and its a 3-hour major tear down, the bearings are press fitted and you essentially buy a new outer tub instead of replacing the bearings in the old one. Maytag went out of business and was bought by Whirlpool. What a piece of crap and to think how great Maytag once was. Now I have a dryer and a pedestal that probably wont fit any other washer brand.

I have owned this washer for three years and the smell in the entire area of my home is getting unbearable. I have used vinegar, clorox, and washer cleaner and I always leave the door open when the washer is not in use. My other complaint is that even a small amount of bleach cannot be used on clothes without causing bleach stains because it runs directly on the clothes before enough water is in the washer. The receptacle for softener also does not dispense the softener properly. I am very disappointed in this machine.

My husband and I were Maytag fans, and we purchased the fourth set of Maytag w/d in May 2019, along with an extended warranty. Four sets may seem like a lot, but my husband and I have been married for almost 30 years now. Long story short, the washer went haywire, and kept flashing LF. After searching Google for answers, my husband flipped the main breaker, then unplugged the washer overnight. It seemed like that fixed the problem, but it didnt. I called Lowes for help and got hung up on numerous times. The hang-ups were not due to my attitude or choice of words. I kept getting transferred from person to person and put on hold, then the phone would go dead. Eventually, someone actually spoke to me and gave me an 800 Maytag number to call, which resulted in more hang-ups.As before, eventually I got to speak to a real human being who took my info and said that a service tech would contact me. Well, over two weeks later, no one has contacted me. However, due to my post/review on the Maytag website, a Lowes representative did call me and offered me a full refund on the washer, but not a word was mentioned about the dryer that seems to be possessed because it turns on and off at will. My husband and I have a limited income, and we purchased the top-of-the-line Maytag w/d thinking that it would last at least ten or more years.For the money that we spent, the w/d should have at least lasted for the warranty period. As noted before, Maytag was once the Toyota of w/d. You could not purchase a better product. Now, the exact opposite is true. Buyer beware, the most expensive with all of the bells and whistles is not always the best. My husband and I have gone retro with the purchase of a new Speed Queen w/d, which will be delivered this week. Hopefully, it will live up to the reviews that I have read.

I bought this washing machine 2 years ago or so. We have always bought Maytag. My mother still has hers she bought over 25 years ago and it still looks and works great. So my wife wanted a new washing machine so I said were going to get another Maytag. Boy did I screw up. What a piece of ** junk. Sounds like its grinding gears all the time, so loud. I close the door in the wash room and I can still hear my investment on a Maytag grinding my nerves because I spent so much on a product of a brand Maytag that I thought would be around for a while. Do not buy a Maytag.

We have to rinse off any food particles before we wash or it may not wash off. So I use plastic wiper before we load. Only 2 of us so items may sit 3-4 days before we run our Maytag dishwasher.

After the 4th service call Maytag wanted a 2nd company to look at it. So on July 27th A&E out of Bristol, PA came out. He checked it out and said its not serviceable because theres a leak somewhere in the casing. Had to call KYW 3, On Your Side, they helped me get some progress. Jacqueline from corporate called and said they would replace it. It started on July 3 and now August 13 and still no fridge. Had my Maytag washer fixed, small problem. Parts came in a box marked Whirlpool for a Maytag washer from a Sears Warehouse. Plus the mechanic said my Maytag refrigerator is made by Amana. Buy American?

I spent a lot of money for top-of-the-line Maytag. It sanitized and worked to perfection. Delay wash, force wash, grinds everything you could possibly ever want. Fantastic and I can move the racks around. Beautiful. Stainless steel tub. Stainless outside. It has a ribbon cord in the controller. They didnt seal the controller head enough. So the dishwasher stops working after an almost guaranteed 2 yards from the ribbon cord rusting. Well you got to buy another one and it comes as a fill unit at 250 IF you replace it yourself. About 500 for a plumber. And you replace it every 2 years. Maytag is having class actions about it, it knew it has the problem. Its just very profitable to continue having the problem.

I purchase my first glass top stove; a Maytag. It came with a 10 year warranty on all elements and the glass top. As this is a first glass top I read through all instructions, there appeared no real warnings on what to do to maintain the glass; or rather what would damage or void a warranty. I simmered some maple syrup, and as it so often does when reaching the proper temperature, it boiled over. On a regular burner, one just uses a little elbow grease and your stove is returned its previous state. This actually pitted the glass, and as the warranty people at Maytag informed me voided the warranty, and seriously weakened the glass top suggesting it would be likely to break. Seriously?????? All of us boil stuff over on the stove top from time to time, and this damages the glass top and voids a warranty??? VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maytags product and their warranty.

MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.

I think so much about Maytag dishwasher with electronic controls that I decided to fix up my Maytag mdb3700awx by replacing the motor. It has an old fashion timer. It was trouble free for 10 years until the water supply line fail and sprayed water on the motor and shorted it out. I got a use motor and pump from eBay for 40 dollars. The dishwasher should last 20 more years. Too bad Maytag dont make them like they use to.

In September 2008, I purchased a Maytag washing machine (Model MTW5700TQ0) that had a faulty transmission. The machine was immediately replaced. Three years later, the transmission is again faulty. Maytag has refused any responsibility for repair or replacement.

3 months after we purchased our Maytag dishwasher in Jan 2014 (Sears) it broke. The service person told us that the ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL (START, CANCEL, WASH CYCLE SELECTIONS) was a common breakage issue and fixed it. It broke again around one year from our purchase date. Same issue, but kept working and not working. Finally we contacted Maytags customer service. Although courteous the only thing we were offered for this common Maytag issue was a $249.95 one year warranty for them to come and fix this recurring problem. I explained that we had already spent about $870 (including tax, delivery and installation) for our middle of the line dishwasher one and a half years ago and asked if they would consider either charging us for a smaller service call/repair or just do it because it seems to be a design and manufacturing issue. After one hour and no sympathy I had to pay the $249.95 to get a repair person out and be covered for one year from today. I dont trust the cheap quality and the lack of support for the product. THEY ARE OUT THERE TO SELL MORE INSURANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESNT MATTER!

I purchased Maytag gas range in March 2011 at Home Depot, Model No. MGR5605WWO. I received the product in May 2011. The porcelain on the grates chips away leaving large grooves in grate, which affects cooking efficiency, (the fire burns erratically). First, I called 1-800-688-9900. The grates were replaced. And then same problem, it was replaced again, and again the same problem. The warranty to cover stove was extended by 6 months. The enamel on the round magnetic cover for the burner is also chipping away. I was told that this chipping of the enamel is a cosmetic problem and does not affect the functionality of the stove problem.A repair technician was sent out at my request to see firsthand the problem grates. I was told by him that if it occurred again, the manufacturer needs to be made aware of the defective grates. He noted that the enamel covering on the grates was not uniform. I have been told by Maytag supervisor today that she will get back to me within 3-5 days and let me know what is going to be done. I have had gas ranges before, but this is the first time this problem has occurred and its continuation is unacceptable. Is there anything further I can do to ensure I have stove grates that do not chip continuously?

I have the washer. It has a bad sound when changing gears like grinding and there is no way it is putting enough water in it to wash clothes. It is a very loud and noisy washer, serial c42831812.

Purchased a Maytag Centennial Washer from Lowes. This is the NOISIEST WASHER I HAVE EVER HAD. Self Balancing, pretty much the way it is, YOU lift that heavy wet laundry and re-arrange to balance. It just slams around even moving the washer, until you do. This washer also doubles as a BLENDER. It SHREDS laundry. The agitator does not go all the way down and thus, clothing, towels, rugs... get stuck under the agitator, wind around and RIP. Have had hundreds of dollars worth of laundry shredded such as: shirts, towels, new rugs and it even ripped the waist off a pair of my jeans! The other laundry gets tied up on the stuck laundry and you end up with a twisted, ripped, tied up Laundry Ball. It will not wash or rinse well when it does this, naturally. Lowes: The salesman knew about all this, and sold it anyway! He had one and got rid of it. Gee thanks Lowes and Maytag, for the worst washer I have ever had the misfortune of owning.

I thought I was nuts - only 2 of water in a full machine of bedding or clothes. I agree with all the other one star remarks - clothes still dirty, still dry, hardly any water and if you use the bedding selection, it takes nearly 2 hours to wash a load and then it doesnt spin dry so you have to rinse and spin again. Very disappointed with the machine. Yes - class action lawsuit? How do we do this.

Had our house built in 2009 and the builder carry Maytag Appliances. After 3 years every single appliances start giving us problems. First the refrigerator not getting cold, got it fixed. Then the dishwasher panel, then the built-in microwave, then washing machine. Just the other day the refrigerator broke down again and I was told the compressor was bad. Really? Whats going with this company? All the appliances from this maker dont have longevity. I have 20 year older refrigerator from GE and its still working. Please do not buy this garbage... Its a waste of your hard-earned money.

In October 2017, I purchased a Maytag MVWB765FW0, thinking that it would live up to the Maytag reputation but I will NEVER buy Maytag again. This machine is more suitable to wash industrial canvas rather than clothing and bedding. All the laundry is twisted and mangled and ends up in a large tangled ball at the bottom of the tub. My clothing is being destroyed faster than I can replace it.

A few weeks after I purchased my Maytag MEDC300 dryer in April 26, 2009, I noticed it gradually did not dry as hot as when I first used it but the element did not go out totally until April 2011. Now its November 2011 and the element is out again. Maytag is sending a service man, of course I have to wait until Monday, I am now inconvenienced 2 times in a year.Theres also what appears to be a burn mark on the back of the drum. Two years ago, I paid more than $400.00 for this thing and when it does work, you have to run it over and over again to dry your clothes. Wow! really energy efficient. What a piece of junk! I had my old dryer 10 years before an element went out. I did buy the Lowes protection plan that was sold with a No Lemon Policy. If the product requires more than 3 repairs for the same failure, theyll replace it, it says in the front of the brochure.In the small print on the back, it states 3 repairs for the same failure in one year. These companies are making money off us consumers who buy Maytag because of the name and what is supposed to be quality, and are ripped off by these insurance programs that say one thing but another in the small print. Big business is nothing more than robbers who get away with robbing the hardworking American people. When is it going to stop?
