According to repairman this washer had a very common problem with what mine was doing. Water was gushing up out of the detergent, bleach, and softener dispensers and running out onto my floor. It was going to cost an arm and a leg to repair it. Mind you this washer isnt even 3 yrs old yet. Called the manufacturer and they basically told us that we should have purchased the extended warranty. We said if so many washers of that model had that problem they should have had a recall and fixed it for the customer. They said it wasnt a safety issue. I asked if falling on a floor covered with washer water and breaking a hip isnt considered a safety issue? No more Maytags for me.

Washer when using sometimes my clothes are full of soap residue. The screen did not turn on. After unplugging it for a few minutes it finally turned on. Dryer gives a warning to clean the airflow. I clean it and the error never clears. I use my swifter to clean it and I still get the error. I finally took out the screen and so far no error.

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300 - We have had this washing machine for approx. 2 years and there is rust marking around the opening of the spout where the bleach is poured into. We also find that we have to do the clean cycle quite often. And it bounces and make a loud noise if there is not enough clothing in it… even on the bulky cycle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE! And we have been loyal purchasers for 40 plus years!

This one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Paid over $850 in March, 2015 for the Maytag Bravos XL. At first, we experienced leaking and now there is a terrible banging and clanging noise! Had an appliance repairman come to see what was going on. Apparently it needs a hub replacement and bearing replacement. Was told by two companies that it is not cost effective to fix it due to the amount of parts and labor.Aside from this major issue, I never felt that the clothes came out clean. Many times, the clothes would come out with detergent all stuck to the clothes and had to be rewashed. The softener and bleach dispensers are not removable and it is nearly impossible to get all the way into the cup in order to clean the mildew that builds up. The fabric softener dispenser always had gummed up chunks.Called Maytag several times to no avail. Was basically told - too bad its out of warranty. I have never heard of a washer giving out after 3 years! The worst part is that I have searched many places on the Internet and apparently the bearing problem seems to be a common issue with this washer. I purposely bought an American made product and am extremely disappointed in not only this product, but the company as a whole. The customer service department is awful. I will NEVER purchase Maytag or Whirlpool ever again. They lost my business for putting a terrible product on the market and refusing to acknowledge flaws. Interesting that this model is now discontinued, but they refuse to acknowledge the problems. Stay away from Maytag and/or Whirlpool!

I purchased a Maytag Gemini April 22 2017 and I am very unhappy with it. The ovens are not working properly. I have thrown away so much food because the ovens won’t hold temperature. The display says it’s the temp. I set it but the temp keeps dropping and rising causing the bottom and top to burn and inside not to cook. Both ovens are doing it. Had a repairman come day before Christmas. He said there is nothing wrong. He said set temp, when preheat beep goes off wait 15 minutes for it to cycle then insert food. I tried this Christmas Day. Oven is still not working and again I threw away more food. I am so disappointed in Maytag. Serviceman is set up again to come out next week. I think I got a lemon. Please. I think they should replace the whole range. It’s not fair. I paid so much for this range and can’t use it.

The machine started having issues within a week of purchase. The current issue is, when running the clean cycle, the washer becomes stuck in a mode where it is constantly adding and duping water down the drain. First time it happened, I started the clean cycle before going to bed. In the morning the machine was still in the clean cycle. Running water in the tub and pumping back out down the drain. The water heater ran all night, as the washer was filling and draining the tub at the same time. Each time we attempt run the clean cycle, the washer locks up in this mode.This is the only issue I have had. Many people complain about wrinkled clothes and I agree. I take each garment out the washer and shake it out before putting it in the dryer, this makes a huge difference. Just remember, this is not your mothers washer. It does a great job at cleaning the clothes and saves many gallons of water a month.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher from Ft Knox Exchange in 2011, Model MDB6709AWW1; Serial # F04117463. Like most posts before me, the panel started failing after 2 years. Unit is now inoperative. I am attempting to fix myself using repair techniques Ive found online as I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars to repair this piece of junk. Will never buy Maytag again.

My husband and I bought a set of Maytag appliance 12/2011 the washer squeaks real bad on spin cycle and now today the dryer started making real real bad squeak sounds to the point I can not use it!!! My appliances are only 4 years old!!! And we wash clothes once a week for just my husband and I. I would not recommend buying any Maytag appliances!!! They are supposed to be the best but are not worth **!!! And I called Maytag, they are not willing to help. Bad service!!!

This Maytag bravo washing machine is the worst ever machine I have owned. I bought it new, and shortly after the 1 year warranty expired, I started having problems with it. I had a repairman come out. All he did was take out the trouble shooting guide, press a code, and wait. The machine told him that each function worked. Even though it did not work properly. He hid the trouble shooting guide inside the machine, so I cannot get to it. Now I have so many problems with this machine, that it takes me all day to do 1 load. This thing makes noises that I have never heard from a washing machine in my life. I would never buy another Maytag product, nor do I recommend anyone else to buy one.

First off, everyone seeing this should be fuming as I am because we are mostly in the same boat with these control panel issues. Mine is Maytag model MDB7749SBM3 about 575.00. A little bit cheaper than most of you because I purchased at the online and had a rebate. About a couple months after the warranty expired, we started having weird light issues with the control panel where are one light would pop up when you didnt hit it or other lights would pop up when you hit something else. We kept dealing with it thinking that it would dry out and resolve itself. Lo and behold, just like it appears to be tens of thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands of machines, it quit. I read this consumer affairs post after it quit and now I know why it did. I opened up the control panel and sure enough, the little ribbon that connects all the electrical connections had brown on the back like it was burnt through. I was able to find a special 1 800 number that Whirlpool has set up because they have purchased Maytag and the woman I spoke with said they would send a technician out and that I was responsible for the diagnostic fee. I was born but it wasnt yesterday. I immediately said to the woman, Absolutely unacceptable. I am NOT paying for anything, very politely highlighting the fact that I know they settled a class action lawsuit in California regarding a control panel issue and there are hundreds maybe thousands of complaints on consumer affairs.com. The woman place me on hold, I am assuming to speak with her supervisor and then let me know that they would pay for the diagnostic fee. She said a repair date for me for about a week and a half later. The repairman had a good day because the dishwasher was already disassembled for him and he proceeded to take pictures and call Maytag. Maytag told him that I was responsible for the installation cost and service fee which according to the technician is about a hundred bucks. I told the technician that is fine but it will not be fine when I call Maytag back. I have not spoken to Maytag about the hundred dollars needs to file a claim for a new dishwasher and associated damages. I have not spoken to Maytag about the hundred dollars but I am only on this to let you know that every single one of us needs to file a claim for a new dishwasher in associated damages in small claims court. I plan on filing a claim for approximately $700 for a new dishwasher and damages. In my opinion, I feel like we should all do this, otherwise big corporations like this will continue to shovel garbage into the stores left and right.Have a good day and good luck with your court case hopefully. This Maytag dishwasher was purchased because Maytag has always been represented as a reliable brand. Wish I had done some research on this problem before repairing it! The control panel went bad after 18 months (and at least 6 months of this time it was not used at all!). The repair cost $300, the dishwasher only cost $429, and if I had realized how much this would cost I would have bought another dishwasher instead. Wonder how long this control panel will last? I called Maytag to complain and was told by Dana badge no. ** that there was nothing to be done as it was out of warranty. We have had dishwashers for 10+ years before that never gave us any trouble. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she told me she didnt have one! Really, how about if George Moore the CFO or Arthur Learmonth the President call me back on this one! We shall see what they say, but I can see by all the complaints about the same issue with Maytag dishwashers that we will probably be out of luck unless we start or join a class action lawsuit (looks like there is one in California already). I will amend this post if Maytag decides to stand by their product and at least pay for the cost of the control panel, but Im not holding my breath.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer and on almost every other load, the dark clothes (mainly slacks) come out with white splotches on them and then I have to re-wash the pants and the splotches go away. What could be causing this? Im tired of washing clothes more than once. Its incredibly wasteful and bad for our environment. Thank you.

The refrigerator had to have repairs in first year. Maytag was aware of freezer issues and reluctantly finally replaced the parts. I had to argue with repairman because he tried to tell me that the freezer was too full.

Within 1 month Maytag sent 2 repairmen to repair my microwave. I paid $271.20 for the repair and part. The same 2 parts used the first 2 times were ordered again and I was told that Maytag could not get them again. The service and parts are supposed to be guaranteed for 3 months. Maytag refuses to refund me; offering me 15% off a new purchase. I would not buy from Maytag. They lost a customer.

I purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door model the middle of 2006. While cleaning the French doors with the cleaning product given to me with the purchase of the new fridge, I notice what looked like coffee on the doors. It wasnt, it was rust on the stainless steel doors. I called the service tech and they came out. Rubbing the fridge, he told me it wasnt rust. He took a closer look and found that it was in fact rust. He called his office; they told him that rusting on the doors has been an issue lately. He charged me $65.00 for what I already knew. I called Maytag and it took a while, but they decided to send new doors. However, I had to have a Maytag rep install it, which would cost me. I didnt have it done. Two years later in 2010, the French doors felt hot to the touch and the inside was warm and not cooling. The freezer was fine. I called for a tech to come out and it’s another $65.00 to fix a fan motor that blows cool air from the bottom to the top. Oh, it’s not under warranty because it wasnt inside with the motor. Total cost: $235.00. In 2010, I woke up and opened the fridge to get milk out. It was warm and so was the inside of the fridge. I thought it was the same problem, but the freezer also was warm. Upset and not wanting to pay for this again, I unplugged the thing and started using a little fridge that I have stored in the basement. It has no freezer. Today, I finally got over being pissed and decided that I would have a tech come out and find out and finally fix it. The tech said that the compressor has failed and it would cost $790.00 to fix. Im not having it fixed, so it’s another $65.00 gone. The tech said that the compressor in Maytags/Whirlpools has been a pretty big issue lately. All I can say is that I will not ever purchase Whirlpool products again. From inside to the outside, this product has been unsatisfactory. I just noticed that the rubber is failing on one of the French doors. Wake up, Whirlpool. Model number is MFD2561HES.

The oven range (model number mgr8772wb) will not heat to proper temperature. It runs 35 degrees cold even after the built-in adjustment of 30 degrees. the repairman said it was just a cold-natured oven and we had to get used to it. So if a recipe calls for 400 degrees, you must preheat to 430 degrees. As much as this thing cost, it should cook properly. I must rethink Maytags reputation. I thought they were the best. Wrong.

I bought a high capacity Maytag Bravos washing machine, thinking it would be better than the ones that shred your clothes around the center post. Wrong. You still have to wrap your clothes around the edges as if there were a post, and even then the machine will become unbalanced (after much thumping and crashing), causing it to stop, which forces you to redistribute the weight, sometimes several times in one load of wash! I called the company and got nowhere -- I wont say nowhere fast because it took forever to get nowhere. I do not recommend this machine.

Softener container is clogging up with softener. Worse, the drain in the fridge has frozen up twice and now again I am having to pay someone to clean it out. A pool of water accumulates in front of the fridge where the ice melts. Disgusting in new appliances.

We purchased the washing machine (MVWB400VQO) on July 9, 2009. Now we must buy a new washing machine as this one is apparently beyond repair, or else the repair costs will far exceed what it would cost to purchase a new machine. We are completely disgusted with its failure, as we paid $822.36, with the delivery fee and the tax. We expected that this machine would last for years, but here we are, 42 months later, having to again invest in a washer. Now that we have a computer and are able to browse your performance reports, we wish we had been able to read them before, in which case we never ever would have bought it at all.Yesterday it spewed water all over our basement, flooding things that should not get wet, providing an atmosphere for encouragement of mold and rust. The motor is gone as the housing is cracked, which was caused by debris getting into it, something that we could not have known or prevented. This is very poor design by your company, in our opinion. We called some repairmen, all useless as apparently the whole machine would have had to be completely dismantled at a rate of $84.00 per hour, and he could not tell us how many hours that would take, to say nothing of finding a new motor for the thing.We will never again buy a Maytag product as they are expensive with a too-short shelf life and there’s nobody who cares when you need help for something that should not have happened at all. I understand Maytag is really not the good old dependable Maytag we used to know and love at all, but rather is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, whose products we will never purchase either.I know why that lovable old Maytag repairman we used to see on TV is retired. Its because he could no longer stand the quality (or lack thereof) of the appliances that you are now producing. He is probably home, hiding his head somewhere and hoping nobody will recognize him. I loved my refrigerator because it was plenty of space, energy efficient and ran like a top even after 20 years when we sold the house. I look forward to buying another one when I buy my new home.

I purchased my Bravos washer and dryer in Sept. 2010. What a mistake! The dryer is okay but the washer is a nightmare! The repairman and I are on a first name basis. The last time he was here, he showed me how to recalibrate my washing machine. It stops working in the wash cycle, fills with water and then sits there. I have to manually drain it and start over. Then it gets confused and fills with water when it is supposed to be spinning and draining (consequently draining my well). I shouldnt have to recalibrate anything in life, much less, a brand new washing machine.

Electric stove range is great. It was very affordable, this stove is very easy to clean and wipe down on the outside. I had it for 4 years and had no problem with it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget. It also has a warranty which is also a plus.

This Maytag (Whirlpool) model MDB7749SBMI dishwasher was purchased 10/28/13 at Home Depot. That makes it 2 1/2 years old to date. It has been a good dishwasher up until now. A few weeks ago I noticed it was doing something wonky. First of all it was not responding its usual way when I tried to turn it on after closing the door. The start button was not responding immediately, nor were some of the other buttons. I also noticed that after the dry cycle had completed and the door was then opened to unload, that the lights on the door were flashing. Then, when I shut the door after unloading the dishes, the washer would come on without having any buttons pushed. Recently, in addition to the difficulty we are experiencing getting it to start, the washer will keep running without ever turning off. Last night I turned it on before going to bed, and it was still running this morning. Calling the service number, the control panel part will run around $150, with a $98 charge for repairman to come out. Who knows if that 98$ isnt just to walk in the door, and whether that includes the time it takes to install the part. The dishwasher was around $400 with my husbands military discount from Home Depot, so it seems crazy to spend that kind of money to have a part replaced that is going to break again because of PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. If that part is replaced (at half the cost of the dishwasher) whos to say what other part is going to break next, perhaps requiring another service call plus price of part. So, conclusion is to throw this one in the landfill and purchase another dishwasher, sadly.The case of Planned Obsolescence is reflected in many of the comments/reports here on Consumer Affairs. The age of the failing control panels of the Maytag/Whirlpool washers are running around the same time spans. No doubt in my mind that these control panels are designed to fail after a specific amount of run cycles/time on this machine. These appliance companies that are manufacturing these total crap appliances so that people will have to buy replacements within 3 or 4 years are filling our already packed landfills while robbing the consumer. Its plain to see for all who care to investigate the matter. A service repairman whom Ive used for years and has been in the business for 25, told me that most appliances today are total pieces of junk compared what they used to be and are designed to fail. He said it has greatly impacted his business because people are replacing appliances versus repairing them because it is not cost effective to have them repaired. He also added that the guts of these appliances looked like they were made from Cracker Jack toy quality plastic materials. There should be laws to stop these manufactures from Planned Obsolescence, and we need to go back to the way appliances use to be made... to last! I have no idea what its going to take to ever see that happen. This is what happens when you have very little competition and 2 major appliance manufacturers. More parts are being designed to fail, so that they can line their pockets. Pitiful.

Maytag dishwasher mdb7749awm2 - It appears that everybody who bought one of these dishwashers has run into this issue at one time or another, and it usually takes one full year of use before the control panel goes out on these units, and in most cases, it has to do with moisture getting on the thin strip of wires leading from the control board to the control panel. It usually occurs right where the strip enters the control panel... There is nice little gap for moisture to rest right on the wires, which will eventually lead to corrosion. I included an image of what to look for (see the nice black rust areas on the wires? That was my problem, and probably yours, too). If you have some very, very fine sandpaper, and have patience, then you can get the rust off the wire, but be very, very careful, or you could take the small thin wire off in the process! Ive made this repair myself to my unit, and I did it for one my friends machines (it was a Maytag, and his lasted two years, but had the same problem, too), and both had similar problems and right in the same spot! After removing the corrosion, the system worked great again. However, before hooking the unit up again, I sealed the area with some silicone to hopefully prevent this from happening again. Now, Im not saying that this is the problem that you are having, but its worth investigating, and dont be afraid to pull-off the front panel...its just held on with an adhesive and will go back on with no issues. Anyway, this could save one hundreds of dollars in repair costs. I hope that this helps.

The dishwasher is only one and a half years old and like many others are having trouble with the control panel. The model is MDB89495AWO which cost nearly $800. The dishwasher does not shutdown after an operating cycle. On contacting Maytag with the symptoms they advised that they have never heard of a similar problem. On reading the comments/experience of other Maytag owners I am undecided whether to scrap this unit and buy another make!

The stovetop is very hard to clean and gets stained easily. The heat works wonderfully and the burners are great sizes. The left side with the adjoining burners is great. The double oven is fantastic. Heats relatively fast. Another negative is the button controls. You have to push so hard for it to register. Its painful. Not the best way to do it. Just setting oven temperature is difficult. Wish that was different.

I purchased my Maytag dishwasher thru Costco. I did so because I got a 2 year warranty if I bought thru them. The washer was approximately 6 months old and they replaced the pump. Approximately 3 months later they replaced the heater. Approximately 4 months after that they replaced the entire operating/electronic board located in the door. Approximately 6 weeks before the warranty was up they had to rebuild the middle dish tray. Now that the warranty is expired by 2 months the door is leaking like a sieve. Unlike most families we use our dishwasher at least twice daily. In summation I would not recommend this brand of appliances to anyone. I will not pay to have this one repaired.

Maytag refrigerator - After 3 months, a water line broke and caused $350 in damages to our kitchen floor. The next month, the ice maker jammed. The next month, the ice maker went out. I have agreed to let the Maytag repairman (youve seen the commercial where he never has anything to do) use our spare bedroom. Seriously its the worst appliance, by far, Ive ever owned and Ive had plenty as I am 71 years old.

We have a 4yr old model MFI2665XEM7, just started leaking water every other day. A puddle wipe it up and its gone. Have ice build up on the bottom of freezer. Any suggestions on what to do?

Maytag products are a waste of money! I purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer a couple of years ago during the Cash for Clunkers rebate where we were asked to give up our reliable machines for so called energy efficient new models. After spending over $1,000 on this fancy front load machine and having it installed, I go to use it the first time and it won’t work. It took me a month to get someone to come and repair the bad board on it. I then started to use it and after a year, the thing started making a horrible loud noise. I called the repair folks and they told me it is out of warranty. I called a local repair guy who told me that the drum is shot and that it will cost $700 to repair. So I got a total of 10 months of use out of this stupid thing. Thats $100 a month to do my laundry! I would be better of dry cleaning! I have searched the web and see that this is a common issue and that Maytag refuses to make this right. Well, I can choose to never buy a Maytag again. I hope that others will heed our advice and do the same.

At first you think wow Maytag. Have heard was the best washer. WRONG. Clothes come out dry in spots. Not washing like it should. Whoever came up with this water saver and no agitator was crazy. Clothes dont get washed properly. Give me an old school washer to where my clothes get clean. When you have to wash clothes twice makes your power bill soar through the roof. NOT GOOD MAYTAG. NOT GOOD AT ALL.

I have always hated soft touch control panels so I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher with old style push buttons. IT DID NOT CLEAN THE DISHES, so Lowes took it back and I was convinced to UPGRADE to an MDB7749SBB0 and was told this machine was top of the line, although it was VERY temperamental from the start. I guess I should have done my homework. I see now several complaints about the control panels not working. I was told that MAYTAG was a very reputable company and that they stand behind their product. WRONG!. The company KNOWS these panels have problems and should replace them free of charge as it is obviously a defect. Nope, first they offer to send someone out (In a week) to repair it at $80 just to look at it and the panel is over $100 to replace, and when I complained they tried to sell me extra coverage for $250. REALLY? What is the purpose of purchasing a QUALITY dishwasher? I might as well purchase a cheap dishwasher and replace it when it breaks. I think you should be responsible for your product when you have several complaints on a specific part.

Bought a Maytag front load washer and dryer, it rattled and shook from day 1, they have come out 3 times in 1 month to fix that, now it wont even spin. This will be the 4th day of work I have had to miss, and all they say is, We have to send someone out to repair. Sorry. Do not purchase their products!! They dont care.

Purchased this machine (Maytag Bravo Washer) in May, 2015. Drive motor blew Jan, 2017. 18 mo. old. 10 year parts warranty and a tag on the machine that reads MCT (Maytag commercial Technology), which leads the consumer to believe this heavy duty machine. I called the warranty number, as I had properly registered the machine on the day of install. Said he would have a new drive motor out to me in 7 to 10 weeks. Yes. WEEKS. Really? I advised the operator that 3 parts stores in my area had the part available, and asked if there wasnt something we could do. He said no they are back ordered. How is it that Maytag cant get their own parts. I purchased the motor for 118.00 and my clothes are now washing again. NICE job Maytag. I suggest finding another company to buy your appliance from. Promises made are not promises kept. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MACHINE.

If there was a zero star rating available, that is what I would select! We purchased this range along with a complete kitchen ensemble for a remodel of our kitchen in December of 2011. Within a few months of purchase the enamel finish started blistering, flaking and peeling. Upon contacting Whirlpool Corp about the problem through their online chatline, email, regular mail and phone, we were informed (quite rudely I might add) that Whirlpool does not warranty cosmetic deficiencies over 30 days after product purchase. This is American Quality?? Since this has occurred the retirement home we are building will have no Whirlpool Corp products in it which includes: Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amana, Jenn-Air, Brastemp, Consul, Bauknecht, Gladiator, or any of the product lineup from the Chinese company Hefei Sanyo which they are buying. The attached photos were taken in May of 2012 and since that time the product finish has only exponentially deteriorated.

After 1.5 years, our Maytag bottom freezer ref has started leaking water on the floor. There is a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer, and ice in the slots on the back wall. This sounds like a frozen moisture drain. This seems to be a common problem. There should be a recall.

We bought a Maytag washer in 1987. It worked beautifully for years. The Maytag Centennial Washer we have now is sub-standard. It takes a full hour or more to wash one load. No quick wash feature. Today I filled the washer with soap, clothes, and pushed the button to fill it. It filled and inexplicably drained, wasting my time, water, and laundry soap. I regret buying this washer.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator on April 4, 2012. This week, July 12, 2015, my compressor went out. I called repairman and he said the compressor was shot. I thought this refrigerator would last longer than 3 years. I had to go purchase a new refrigerator from Home Depot in Knoxville, TN at a cost of $1,057.95. I am 80 yrs. old, on Social Security and this was a lot for me to put out, since the Maytag should have lasted a lot longer than 3 yrs. I feel I am entitled to some reimbursement. The Maytag is a side by side, Model MSF25C2EXB00, Ser. HR21112159. Im disappointed in Maytag and will never recommend or buy another one.

Maytag 18.5 cu ft Bottom Freezer Refrigerator purchased 12/10/12. 1/12/16 the bottom of the freezer had an inch of ice that leaked onto the floor. My plumber chipped away ice and unclogged drains $97.50. 4/19/18) the same $97.50. 5/22/18 an appliance repair business installed a drain kit $148.40. This was his 25th Maytag with the same problem. A whole website has complaints about this problem. I sent a letter to Maytag and they wanted to send out their technician to find out the problem (with a service cost to me). With all these complaints, and a kit to fix it, they already know the problem but refuse to do anything about it. Maytag used to be a reputable company. No more. The customer service said I should have bought an extended warranty. I said a $1400 refrigerator should last longer than 3 years (the first leaking occurrence). I will never buy a Maytag product (nor Whirlpool that makes it).

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

I am very dissatisfied with this washer (Maytag Washer Bravos XL), it doesnt use enough water to cover the clothes. No matter which cycle you use, the clothes dont come clean. Who cares about water sensing if your laundry isnt clean. I will not buy another water sensing machine, I think the consumer should make that call on how full to fill the washer. Even on power wash the small agitator turns slowly. Not happy with this machine at all.

We bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher, and it was a nightmare. So after four years of that we tried their sister company Maytags dishwasher. I have to say that I think these two old American brands have been ruined. This Maytag dishwasher is always making my dishes smell like rotten fish or a dead animal. I have to dump bleach and or vinegar down in the bottom constantly to keep the stink down. And I have looked and there is no food laying in the grinder. Then we started to lose wash cycles, and the buttons (not real buttons but a cheapo control panel) started to malfunction after 2 years. Now, 3 years into it the plastic adjusters in the top rack are broken, control panel has gone totally haywire, and still smells terrible. I remember when American appliances were sturdy and reliable because they were designed by engineers. Now they must be designed by accountants and shareholders. Goodbye Maytag and Whirlpool.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot on 5/17/11. It would run, then not run. It spoiled all the food not in the freezer and most of the food in the freezer. This happened early November, being less than six months old. My wife called on 11/8/11, they repaired it on 11/18/11. Ten days of no refrigerator and a lost of about $200 in spoiled food. The company would not pay for any of the money I lost for the spoiled food!

Clothes do not turn over in the wash cycle. The clothes at the bottom get plenty of hard scrubbing from the agitator but the ones at the top barely get wet and never move down to the bottom. Insufficient amount of water enters the tub. The repairman says the washer is working as designed. Neither Maytag or Lowes will take back the washer. Worst appliance Ive ever owned. Bummer!

Maytag AquaLift Oven #YMER8880BW - The aqualift technology does not clean the oven. It is sorely inadequate. I bought Maytag because of its reputation. This range should be recalled as should all their ranges with this useless technology. Buyers BEWARE! Do not purchase any range from Maytag which advertises Aqua Lift technology. This purchase has soured your reputation Maytag. I also purchased a fridge with the stove. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again. We purchased a Maytag MDB7749SBWO Maytag dishwasher. Suddenly the control panel does not work. Trying to find out why I found that there are thousands of complaints about this known defect with water and steam getting in and corroding the control panel. Shame on Maytag for continuing to sell these without fixing the problem. I expected my dishwasher to last many years based on the Maytag reputation instead I need to replace it. I am not going to spend the money on a repair with a machine that will have the same problem again according to other consumers.

My refrigerator is several years old, and I would buy the same brand when I need a new one, although I would hopefully buy a counter depth one because my kitchen is so small, and the one I have now is kind of big for the space.

I bought this range (Gemini Double gas range) in 2010 but was not installed in my house until 2011 due to time delays in kitchen re-model. I paid $1310.00. It was serviced 3 times once under warranty. About a year ago the igniter went in one of the ovens for the second time and one of the stove burners wouldnt light. Since the other oven and 3 other burners worked we didnt call for repair, then a second burner stopped working and we called our Maytag dealer. 2 different service techs came one with more experience and both said the same thing the stove wasnt worth fixing due to cost of parts. One of the problems was the screws in the burners couldnt be removed due to rust and deterioration of the screws. They would break and cost other components also to be needed. So after 7 years of use and already having repairs done I have to buy a new stove. It will not be a Maytag. I also bought a top of the line Maytag dishwasher and one month past the 5 year warranty the electronic panel burned out. After calling Maytag and complaining they did agree to pay for the part close to $300 but I still paid for labor. When I looked at reviews for the oven before purchasing they werent too good but wanted a double oven at the time and always had good luck with Maytag in the past. I thought buying a higher priced model would be better quality. Not so. After calling Maytag today the best they could offer was to buy an extended warranty for $380, I declined. My advice - Listen to the reviews. The Maytag repairman isnt sitting around idly anymore!

I purchased the Maytag Atlantis Washer and dryer in 2004. I had the washer transmission replaced in 2006, I believe. For about a year now, the washer makes an awful screeching noise. I am not sure if its towards the end of the spin cycle or the rinse cycle, or both. In addition (and over the last 3-4 years), the dial sticks or stalls every delicate cycle. It will stop during the initial agitating and all you can hear is a ticking noise, in which you then have to manually give the dial a slight turn for the cycle to continue. It does it once on the light delicate and twice on the normal delicate. It really is a shame that Maytag is not acknowledging all of these problems as it is not feasible for most people to have a spare $1500 kicking around for a new washer and dryer every time they unfortunately buy a lemon. My previous washer and dryer were 25 years old and still working perfectly when I decided to part with them because they were fairly small. I dont even ever recall having any issues with either one of them in the whole 25 years that I had them. To see all of these complaints makes me more irritated with my appliances and my selection!

Maytag dishwasher MDB7749SBM2 - I purchased this unit from Home Depot. It worked fine when working. In less than two years the control panel had issues. Would not let you start cycle, would randomly start on its own, would light up randomly, would only let one cycle work, would not work at all, etc. I received no help from Maytag. After open up the door panel the problem is obvious. The ribbon cable from touch (control) panel to control board had black spots from corrosion. Poorly insulated or poor design. $150 for part and another $100+ for repairman. As Ive seen from several of these posts it appears to be a common problem now to Maytag, which they choose to ignore in spite of class action lawsuits. Obviously last Maytag product Ill ever buy.

I have never liked the stove because it is too small (it came with the triplex) and it has porcelain like top. One burner burns to hot, the other three mediocre, there isnt enough space between the burners and the back of the stove. It doesnt cook evenly and it really does not have a low or simmering setting. You cant set a timer for simmering because it cooks too fast. The knobs are stuck and sometimes wont light when you turn them down. The oven is okay, but could be better. Wish it had self cleaning. The broiler in no existence. Food way too close to the flames. We have had this oven since we bought the triplex back in 2011.

I have read all the complaints. I have similar issues with Maytag Bravos. I’m frustrated that modern tech products stink to high heaven, especially when we refer to clean clothes not being cleaned well. The specific issues I keep getting are the following: the LF codes appear and the cold water does not fill so that it wont rinse or drain. I have replaced the defective washers and that helped for one load. I refuse to fix it. Why throw good money out for the same bad product? I’m looking for a no bells and whistles washer or dryer that works. I have issues with the dryer, too. No more Maytag products in the future. Question: Who truly makes a good reliable product nowadays?

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator in 2009. The freezer is on the bottom. In the last 3 months weve had to defrost this frost-free refrigerator. The freezer frosts and the refrigerator went into the danger level for foods. A technician said there is a tube from the freezer to the refrigerator that gets blocked with ice and your food is spoiled in no time. I wish I would have read this website before I purchased a Maytag. Hopefully, this will help someone else. I thought that Maytag was a quality name. That was the good ole days and now Im living in the good ole days defrosting a frost-free refrigerator. Beware!

I purchased a Maytag model no. MDBH979AWB dishwasher on 4/28/2010, and I did not take out the extended warranty. I thought a Maytag product was built to last, but according to Maytag, I am wrong because they only offer a 1-year warranty on their products. About 2 months ago the hi-temp button on the control panel stopped working. Then a few days ago, the START button stopped working, I emailed Maytag and they sent me a PDF file that shows the warranty is only 1 year. I purchased the dishwasher at Home Depot, I went there and talked to customer service, they were no help either.I am very disappointed in both Maytag and Home Depot for selling products that Are CRAP! I paid $499 for this dishwasher, and if I would have known it only came with a 1-year warranty I would not have purchased it. I will no longer purchase any products that are made by Maytag or any products associated with Maytag.

Bought a Maytag front load washer. When it is operating it is very loud. Some parts of the washer are made of cheap plastic. The Optimum detergent dispenser also of cheap plastic failed after 1 month. Disappointed in finding out only the outside metal box was made in America. All inside components are made in China which raised the cost $300 due to recent tariffs.

Our range and oven are reliable and durable. Easy to clean and have lasted a long time. I do not regret spending a little extra money to have an appliance that has lasted a long time. The oven heats up at a standard rate. The self clean function is very thorough. I have a white set. I was worried they would stain with your typical spills that come along with cooking. However, They clean very easily.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model number MDB7749SBM in May of 2013. In August the dishwasher control panel stuck on Rinse only cycle. It has been stuck on this cycle for a month. I contacted Maytag and they walked me through a reset. It has not worked. It looks to me as if the control panel has failed. This seems to be a common problem with the Maytag dishwashers. As soon as the warranty expires, so does the dishwasher. I purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot for over $600 thinking I was buying a quality product. My previous dishwasher was also a Maytag, even a lower end one that lasted almost 14 years! This one has not even lasted 14 months!!I was told by Maytag that I could purchase an extended warranty for $267.45 that would last a year. I believe, 4402 based on other reviews that I will be dumping more money into this one even after that. Very disappointed!! I will never buy another Maytag product again! I should have bought the Bosch. It was roughly the same price and high quality. I bought Maytag based on my previous experience. No More!!

I have gone several years with wasted food at random times because my Maytag refrigerator decides to stop cooling whenever it feels like it. This is a continuing thing that started since the appliance was brand new and it has never been resolved. Maytag claims that they cant do anything about my refrigerator. They can do what they want to. From my experience, I feel like the issue is that they dont care to make it right. I am finally fed up with this refrigerator and I am buying a new one. I bought the dryer (Maytag Gas Bravo Dryer) from Home depot in December of 2010. The thermostat went out in July of 2011 and has replaced the same part 5 times up until August of 2011. Then they put a new burner with a thermostat and it lasted till June 1 of 2012. Now the warranty is out, they want me to repair this piece of **. I will never buy a Maytag product again.

We bought all new appliances for our remodel. I wish I could return this dishwasher. It has a problem with the door staying closed. I added images of how we are able to make it work. A service person is coming by tomorrow to put a new latch on it (I read several reviews saying the latch is messed up). So I made sure the service person is coming with the part. I called Home Depot when the problem started (used for up to 5 washes or so). And Home Depot wont return it! I called Maytag and they tried selling me an extended warranty and I asked what about the 10 year warranty the machine is supposed to come with? We have to rinse off any food particles before we wash or it may not wash off. So I use plastic wiper before we load. Only 2 of us so items may sit 3-4 days before we run our Maytag dishwasher.

Both my washer and dryer are Maytag. Dryer element shorted out but was still under warranty so was fixed. Washer is very loud and now makes a rattling sound. Every so often it will hang in the middle of a cycle and the lid wont open until I unplug it.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher Model Number MDB7749AWM1 in June 2011. With a two person household, we need a new control panel in Sept 2014. Total cost of service call, repair and part is $325. This unit was a poor value for us. I see the trend is to discontinue a model after a short period of time, making it impossible for anyone to get a review of other peoples experiences. I went with Maytag because of this. It was a company with a strong reputation for quality equipment. Not so anymore. I would not purchase another product made by Maytag.

If I want to line dry something, first I have to pick off all the lint. Even when I use the dryer, I still have to pick off lint and there’s often creases with dirt dried right in. I have to inspect everything that comes out of the washer to see if it is clean before I dry it. This doesn’t save water, as I often have to wash things at least twice. Awful! Also, ridiculous. A wash machine is supposed to get things clean.

I have a front loader dryer, model number MAH5500BWW, serial number A9147862ec. All of a sudden, I found water on the floor and after opening up the front door, I see where around the part that sticks of on the inside of the door, there is a big piece of plastic that has broken off and cracked all the way across the bottom of the door and is missing. It is allowing the water to leak down the front of the bottom of the washer and onto the floor.

When I went to use this machine (maytag bravos). I noticed there was like a 1/4 filled in tub, checked water flow, that was fine. Then read the manual that Maytag sees using Less Water is better for clothes, I always thought it was less detergent, ohh well. Wouldnt recommend this item to anyone.

I have had this refrigerator for a few years and never have had a problem. It keeps food uniformly cold, and is frost free. While appearance is attractive, it doesnt look like a $3,000 refrigerator. However, black pebbled-surface exterior is easy to clean and scratch-resistant. Plastic and glass interior fittings also have held up very well. I originally thought it would be too small because I was buying it to fit a certain space in the kitchen. But it has turned out to be just the right size because there is no wasted space inside. I bought this at Home Depot on sale for about $400.00 and it has turned out to be an excellent buy. Delivery was on time, efficient, and people were polite and helpful. Refrigerator was ready to be used about 15 minutes after delivery arrived. I have found Maytag appliances to be extremely reliable and made to last. They have never disappointed me. I will continue to buy them. I highly recommend it.

I purchased these appliances on 02-10-16 from Home Depot in Loganville Ga., for almost $2000.00. I filed the first repair call less than 3 weeks after delivery. The sensor panel was bad and had to be replaced. Now 8 months later the washer is not starting, AGAIN. The dryer will only dry one load a day or you get the AF code. This means that the dryer cannot push air over 5 or so and we need to have a vent booster fan (an additional $200.00) installed plus have an electrician run a new outlet. I returned to Home Depot with my complaint. Feeling that I have an inferior product, they tried to get Maytag to make it right. Maytag refused to offer any solutions whatsoever. Home Depot refunded a little over $300.00 for my inconvenience.The washer is an absolute ill-conceived piece of junk. It is ROUGH on clothing and does not remove soap. I started out with brand new (expensive) towels when I purchased this machine and 8 months later all of the hems have been snatched off and theyre unraveling and falling apart and are slowly becoming car wash towels.You cannot wash delicates in this machine and allow it to spin. Underwires in bras are badly misshaped or broken completely. You cannot wear them afterwards without being gouged by bent wires. The only way around this is to take away the spin cycle, but you better be ready with a clean garbage can to haul the dripping clothes elsewhere and hung up to drip dry. The washer has NEVER removed all of the soap from bed sheets. I have a dark gray set that show the soap best. Now I have to wash once with soap then wash again with no soap. This negates the machines being efficient.Unfortunately, I found the negative reviews AFTER buying the machine. My complaints are well known to Maytag, seeing has to how the same complaints are found online as far back as 8 years ago. I have been brand loyal for 30+ years to Whirlpool and thought that I was moving up with a Maytag, based on my parents 50 year experience... I was wrong! I will never purchase another Maytag product nor Whirlpool since Whirlpool now owns Maytag. I have researched and am of the opinion that Speed Queen is a far better product and plan to junk this set and replace them with Speed Queen.

I was in my bed and lights and TV flickered. Then, I heard a small explosion and my dogs went crazy. I went into the kitchen and my Maytag Gemini stove was smoking and smells really bad. I unplugged it. The sockets and the one close to it no longer work. My house stinks now. What happened? I have had this stove for a few years but it is not used often except during the holidays.

I too am a victim of the faulty Control Panel that Maytag put on these dishwashers - Model # MDB7749SBM2. $149 for the part and another $149 for service call and labor - almost half the price of what I paid 2 years ago! Should have stuck with the 10 year old builder grade GE I had with the latch door and turn knob! I am in the market for a new stove and microwave - I will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product! When is Maytag going to make good to all the customers out there that have experienced the same issue? If yours breaks it is a very easy fix now that I know. You can order the part and it simply unplugs and plugs in the new one. All you have to do is take the door off and it is right there!

I purchased our Maytag Dishwasher in 2014 (Model # MDB77495B) and after a little over a year, of course after the warranty had expired the panel started to act up. I did get it repaired costing over $300 for parts and service thinking all is well. The repairman that came out had to come out twice once to look at and then again to fix after the part came in. We had a conversation and he said that was common with this brand, the steam sometimes affects the panel. I spoke with Maytag about getting an extended warranty but after looking at the cost passed on it. Well now the panel is acting up again. If Maytag thinks I am going to have another repairman come out well think again. I will see how much the part cost and do it myself if it cheap enough, if not I guess Ill be back to washing dishes by hand for awhile. I bought this brand feeling that it was American made and the cost was on the expensive side that it would last. I am disappointed that this has happened again. For the money spent it should last at least 10 years. My old dishwasher that was given to me used lasted over 15 years with not one problem. No adequate response from Maytag. Unsafe washer. Will be taking this to consumer protection as my scrubs are coming out of the wash with blood etc. left on the articles, even with bleach used. Very serious for all concerned. If you have someone with shingles or any other transmittable skin disease in your household, do not use this washer.

The bleach dispenser will dispense bleach BUT it is full of water after each use. The dispenser is flushed with water by the machine at the engineered time in the cycle. The warranty service companies want me to pay around $300 ($100 + $70/ hr) for them to work on it. I have to use a measuring cup and pour water into the dispenser until it begins to siphon out. Stop pouring, and the dispenser will be empty for the next addition of bleach. The washer is allowing water to partially fill the dispenser AFTER the bleach has been flushed/siphoned out into the load of clothes. If the flush water were completely shut off after flushing operation, the dispenser should be empty.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher on June 2008. This new Maytag dishwasher replaced an older Maytag dishwasher that caught fire and was recalled (I found this out after calling Maytag). The new dishwasher (Model: MDB 5601 AWB) also had a recalled part (heater coil) in February 2011. Two months ago, (the unit is now 3 years old), the control board started malfunctioning (certain cycles no longer work). I called Maytag today (Aug 24, 2011) but I was told by a Maytag representative that there was nothing that they could do. After reading so many complaints, I am ready to file a class action suit. It seems that this company continues to perpetrate fraud against an unsuspecting consumer for they knowingly continue to manufacture defective products.

I waited my entire life to age 47 to purchase a brand new matching Maytag washer and dryer. I was thrilled. That was August of 2012. 3 years and two months later, the $800 dryer (MEDE201YW) loses the entire control panel and Maytag refuses to offer any assistance. I deliberately purchase Maytag with its stellar reputation, an American based company only to be more disappointed in the product and the company than in any other appliance Ive ever purchased.

I have had this refrigerator for three years and have ALREADY had two major repairs! I have paid ONE THIRD of the original cost in repairs. The latest was a control board at a cost of $225 and the repair man only charged me a service call and not labor because I was so upset. I called Maytag hoping they would at least pay for the part, but they only want to sell you a service contract (Of course it wont cover the control board, that already happened but would be happy to sell you a new extend warranty). I WILL NEVER BUY A MAYTAG APPLIANCE AGAIN! Run as fast as you can away from this brand. Be warned. They will not stand behind their appliances!

Does not clean properly! Water level is too low for clothes to move around properly. This appears to be a very poorly engineered product. We have had Maytag products for many years. The only good thing I can say about this product is that it beats a scrub board. Would not recommend Maytag product to anyone. Looking at other complaints it appears that Maytag is doing nothing about this. Will try to sell this at a yard sale and hope no one asks my opinion. Then go buy something that works.

I am also frustrated with Maytag for the same exact problem... The control panel and the dishwasher not working just after our year warranty went out. I purchased this product because we had a good experience with a Maytag Dishwasher lasting about 20 years, only to get fooled that the quality is not there any longer. We bought this Maytag Bravos 300 Quiet series top loading washer 3 years ago. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer. I absolutely HATE this Maytag Washer. DO NOT buy it. I would rate it less than one star however they did not offer a 1/2 star. If there is class action lawsuit please include me.

My $1,500 Maytag double oven Gemini has been trouble from the get go. 1st, trying to broil something cannot be adjusted. It sits 3 to 4 from the fire & there is no 2nd shelf. The control knobs sit on top of the stove & its easy to burn them when cooking. The broiler has always smelled like its leaking gas. Plus, the bottom oven stopped working & we had to get it repaired. The last straw was when the control board went out. We arent even going to try to repair, just going to buy a new stove. No Maytag!

I purchased this washer in 2010. It has broken 4 times since purchase for the same reason. I was told by the appliance repairperson (which Maytag referred me to last time it broke on 03-11-11) that the manufacturer does not replace the machine until after it has broken down a 4th time. Now, the warranty has expired (in 09-11), and it has broken down again for the same problem - water wont fill. Sherry at call center informed me my machine does not qualify for replacement. Then, she would not give me a number or contact info for corporate office so I could forward my complaint. This machine is only slightly over a year old. I have had nothing but problems with it. I want a new machine, or at least unlimited repairs for the recurring problem. And I should not have to pay for a warranty that costs almost as much as the machine itself when Ive already paid for the machine, and at least an equal amount to the cost of the washer in repair bills just to keep this lemon on the road. I want a number and a name for someone that will listen. I may be part of the shrinking middle class, but I am a customer, and I should be treated right. Please help me.

We purchased our Maytag dryer at Home Depot a couple of months ago. We just called Home Depot for the second time because the dryer handle broke off while opening the front load door. We called Maytag and they tell us to call Home Depot and the only thing they are willing to do again is fix the door handle which will probably break off again while Im in the middle of laundry and cant retrieve clothes from the dryer because there isnt a handle to open it.Im convinced the dryer has a defective handle, and the dryer should be replaced considering what we paid for it. But Maytag or Home Depot doesnt want to do that. I will never buy Maytag products again and thinking of buying products at small appliance stores who stand behind their products, instead of Home Depot who could easily turn our dryer over to the insurance company as defective for the loss.

We had our kitchen redone by Home Depot in Sept. 2006. It was gutted and all was replaced: walls, heat windows, doors, lights, appliances. The Maytag refrigerator stopped working 7 years later. I feel an expensive appliance should last longer than that.

The ranges are getting great but are more so with digital than buttons and knobs which they should still have, especially for the handicapped and some elderly who prefer them. It would help prevent injuries. It was hard for me to find the knobs.

Keep having the problem, the display panel tells me to close the door when the door is closed. I had a repairman repair it. 2 months later it started happening again. Im buy another microwave. It doesnt make sense to have it fixed again.

An average refrigerator/freezer at best. I would not recommend it unless you also buy a service agreement to fix things that go wrong with it. Ice maker went out.

I bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2013. In late November 2014, I noticed water on the floor in front of the fridge. I called the Maytag customer service and reported the problem.. The customer service rep explained to me that Maytag discovered a design flaw in the part that allows the water to drain when going through the defrost cycle. I also called Home Depot. Their response was it was my problem because the fridge was out of warranty and I did not buy an extended warranty plan. After two more calls to Maytag, they scheduled a service appointment. The service repairman told me the same thing about the design flaw. I have the old part and the package the new part was in. The two parts are completely different. I requested that Maytag or Home Depot replace the fridge or give me credit for the amount I spent. Maytag is now saying there was not a design flaw and because of that, Home Depot refuses to replace the appliance. I will never buy another Maytag product or shop at Home Depot. The extended warranty is a way to place the responsibility directly on the consumer and eliminating the responsibility of the manufacturer and the store.

After buying this dishwasher model MDB6759WWW3 in Jan. 2010, I fully expected it to work longer than it did! So far, the control panel has been replaced 5 times. The last time was Sept. 17, 2012 and already it is out again. I talked with Customer Service, since Georgia has a lemon law. After 4 times it is to be replaced.They had no record of the part that was replaced, just that a technician had come and repaired (by ordering the same part they had no knowledge of). This time they will either replace or instead of me calling, my lawyer will call. I will never buy another Maytag product and will encourage anyone else not to buy either. My daughter had the same experience with a refrigerator, a piece of junk they did nothing about. By the way, I have an extended warranty plan, which should not even be necessary!

I purchased the Bravos washer and dryer suite. Since I was a small child I had heard my parents and others alike say that Maytag always had superior products as this is the reason when I was fortunate enough to purchase a new set I chose a Maytag brand. We that was the past and the present products et washers /dryers as the worst ever. I have had my set less than 2 years and today had to go out and buy a used one again. I have had nothing but trouble with these 2 and will never buy their brand of anything again. From the amount of poor reviews it appears I am not alone. I tried several times to no avail to have someone from the company contact me as I was put on hold too many times!

MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.

MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER - Biggest mistake I have ever made, like all the other complaints, washer does not clean the clothes. This washer and dryer are in our vacation home. Only used on weekends we are there, now the washer is broken, will not spin and UL light comes on, even with no clothes in it. DO NOT BUY!!! Like others have stated, we need to start a class action lawsuit against Maytag for fraud and knowingly selling junk.

We had a $1700 French Door refrigerator delivered in January, the ice maker worked for 4 days. 4 service calls by 2 different companies and still not making ice. After fighting tooth and nail, we finally got a new fridge.. upon installation the water in the door spewed everywhere and would not shut off, so yet another new fridge was ordered and delivered last Friday. So, after countless hours, missed worked wages and having strangers in and out of our home 7 times, they offered us a lousy $50 prepaid gift card for our trouble. After a little long drawn out fight, they increased it to $130 and said that was their maximum compensation: Shame on you Maytag, that values our time and hourly wage at about $1.00 an hour. NEVER AGAIN!!

The paint (stainless steel) on the top panel surrounding the digital screen is deteriorating from the heat and steam from light cooking. This happened the first time I used one of the back burners for light simmering. I purchased the range in December 2011, but had not used the back burners because I dont cook large meals. The black paint on the range top is also easily scratched when moving the grates for cleaning. This product has defective paint and Maytag has NOT responded to my questions sent to them by email. I will never purchase another Maytag product NOR will I purchase appliances from HOME DEPOT again. Home Depot should not sell shoddy products!

I give the Bravo T/L Washing machine and the Maytag company zero stars. I had to call for service 3 times within the last 22 months, twice for the electronic panel which needed to be changed, and the third time, it needing a new tub/drive shaft assembly at a cost of $405.27. I did receive a call from the Maytag customer service and all they would do is make a note of my complaint. I feel if you pay almost $1,000.00 for a machine it should work for more than 22 months. I believe Maytag manufactures an inferior product.Not only did it not last, my family and I found that the clothes didnt come out as clean as it should have, and sometimes, the towels would have a mildew smell to them after washing and drying. I assure you that I have read the enclosed instructions of how to use the machine, load the machine, and only used products designed for the machine

I purchased a Bravos washing machine 3 years, 9 months ago. It has stopped working, bad bearings. How can a major appliance fail after three years for bad bearings unless the bearing were bad to begin with??? The repair man knew by the sound the problem was bad bearings. The washing machine sounded the same as it always had, which means the bearing were bad from the start. My first washing machine, a Kenmore, lasted 21 years and a few months. How can you produce such a terrible product and expect I as a consumer would buy another Maytag product or recommend a Maytag product? Not to mention what will now enter a landfill someplace, terrible!
