Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... We have a similar problem to the others who gave reviews on their still NEW Maytag refrigerators. Ours isnt even four years old and several weeks ago we started smelling a chemical odor which then permeated all of our food in the refrigerator and freezer. We didnt buy the extended warranty because we have owned a few refrigerators and all have lasted just fine for 15+ years with no problems. So I called Maytag. They said for a charge of $369.95 they would schedule a repair and would cover the service call, parts and repair and provide an 12 month warranty. If the service call results in an inability to repair the refrigerator, they will refund the full amount of $369.95. So I asked if Maytag would then replace the refrigerator, and the rep said we have to start with the service call before they would discuss any type of refund or replacement. Im angry and disappointed in Maytag. Its a good thing we have a spare refrigerator in our basement. What a hassle! Weve already had to throw away over $100 in food that picked up that horrible odor. Shame on Maytag!

Like everyone else got that French door fridge and was also duped on that 1 yr warranty - a 95 dollar repair visit for a 485 repair job on a 1200 dollar purchase. Shame on them. Im gonna fix my new floor and replace that frozen bottom, leaking on the left, non-working ice maker 2 yr old refrigerator. Very disappointed with the whole thing and sorry for all of our losses.

I purchased this oven about 6 months ago. This is my second Maytag oven which I had for 18 years. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this oven. I did my homework and shopped around and chose another Maytag. First, the ignitor clicks and clicks but doesnt ignite. After 4-5 times I have to shut the oven off and restart it. But worse than that is the enamel on top. The quality is HORRIBLE. You cannot use anything but a soapy sponge to clean the top. With my last oven I was able to use anything (softscrub, ajax, the scrubber side of a sponge) and the top was shiny clean. My stove top is covered with scratches and is not even thoroughly clean. There are grease spots around the burners that if I scrub any harder Ill take the enamel off completely. Very, very poor quality. Will never buy another Maytag.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo washing machine last spring. It was easy to understand the instructions, but that is all that was good about it. Like everyone is saying. It doesnt wash the clothes completely. On every dark load I have what looks like streaks of lint. I contacted Maytag. They gave me suggestions for solutions. None of them worked. I have put the clothes on for a second rinse and spin and it got out some of the lint. Also. they are evidently spun so hard in the washer, after they come out of the dryer they are a wrinkled mess. All the wash and wear, which is almost everything we own, is wrinkled. I have to iron every item. Never again a Maytag for us. If there is a class action suit, I want in on it.

Our first (and last) experience buying anything made by Whirlpool. I bought a matching Maytag Series 2000 washer and dryer in February 2011. By July, the washer was at 747 take-off noise level when hitting the spin cycle. I called Whirlpool, who directed me to their local repair firm. I called them on August 2nd and had a service rep visit on August 9th. He looked a 30-second look and advised that the bearing assembly was shot and that the spin basket required replacing.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they dont have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. Im told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and Im told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didnt you do this first) and told because we didnt call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then Im told its our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and thats total BS. I explained how you cant offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it. Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they dont even have them. Then told Im getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesnt think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.

I have owned my Maytag Neptune Washer since 1998 and this is the first time that it will not drain all the water... Doing some research before I call a repairman... Have a Great day!

Turned the oven on, and it failed to light. A little while later, it started leaking gas into the house. Im lucky the house didnt explode!

This washer (Model# MVWB765FW1) will not wash your clothes. Its not designed to give enough water for washing. That means some clothes will still be dry after agitator cycle; seriously. Thank you Maytag for going green! The repairman will tell you the machine is working according to design. That is true but the machine is a fraud as a clothes washing machine. The weight of the clothes in the tub tells the computer how much water to apply; good luck with that. We learned that if we add a bucket and a half of water, the clothes will come clean. Do you want to do that? Maytag used to be a good name.

This was purchased 3/25/2010 with the Home Depot Service Contract thru 3/2015 . We have already had a service call in 2013. We were OK until January 2015. Now we join many other customers with the leaking defroster. We have taken all the steps of the other customers. We went and called for a service appointment. Weve spoken to Maytag Customer Service 800-253-1301. Ive asked if there was recall? NO! I asked if there was log made of my call, NO! Any work done had to with Maytag Authorized Repair Person. The Home Depot Contract use a Non-Authorized Service Person. Weve gone to Home Depot. We are in a catch 22! We have spent good money on this refrigerator. Out of sight, out of mind. We will go back to Home Depot Again!

I depend on my front loading Maytag washer. It is very reliable, does a great job of cleaning even difficult items like comforters and pillows as well as items deeply soiled. I use the many features like water temp and level, fabric type, heavy or light load, etc. The only complaint I have is that the front cover of the detergent, fabric softener and bleach drawer came off and the exterior paint on top of appliance is rusting and peeling. A stronger substance for the surface where often detergent, fabric softener and other substances are often stored and they leak.

I purchased by Maytag Bravo from Lowes exactly 1 year ago when the gearbox failed. There was a loud grinding sound as the washer tried to shift from wash to spin. Reading through some on-line reviews and complaints it turns out that this is not a new problem and has been known to Maytag for some time. I specifically bought a Maytag because of their prior reputation for quality. Unfortunately, my information was out of date. It is so sad that a company would compromise such an outstanding reputation.

We have had our oven for seven years this past October 2015 and has now been down for three weeks. Last February 2015 (8 months ago) we had to replace the bake igniter because the oven would not get up to temperature. The most recent incident happened a few days after Thanksgiving (2015), I was cooking dinner and noticed that the oven was not reaching desired temperature. I then opened the door to see if it was hot inside the oven and when I did it must have ignited making a huge poof and flames came out at me! Thank God my 12-year-old daughter had walked away from cooking with me to answer the telephone because the flames came out exactly where she had been standing!!!I contacted Maytag and explained what had happened and how we could have had an explosion or someone couldve burned. The first questions they did ask me was if anyone was injured or any damage to our house?!?! I was happy for that however, it also told me that this has happened before! They called the Maytag repairman in my area and supposedly made it a priority call in which he could not come until 12/10 which was two weeks after this happened. Therefore, my husband and I contacted a different appliance man who came out and told us it was the temperature sensor. Since fixing it, the oven works ok and cooks properly however, when initially lighting/igniting it is extremely loud and makes a very large/huge poof! Its as if the oven is filling up with gas and eventually lighting! The other night when I lit it to show my husband it was so loud that it rattled the door and he immediately turned off the gas to it. I googled this and it said that its basically a mini explosion where the oven is filling with gas and then igniting! Its to the point that we could lose everything we have worked for just to make a meal! We spend over a thousand dollars on our beautiful stainless steel convect oven. Its gorgeous and when working works great however, Im petrified to use it now because Im scared to being burned or exploding! Now we start over and yesterday on Sunday I contacted the original Maytag repairman who said to call back Maytag again and hell come immediately. Maytag originally told me on the phone that they would cover labor and the service call however, ironically enough they did not write that in the dispatch order! Im outraged! What will it take before its safe for our family and home! My husband is ready to junk it and buy a GE however, we do not have the money especially before Christmas to do so. Oh and let me add that the first week we had the oven we had to call them for the window seal to be replaced because it was hanging. So now seven years after owning it and 10 months apart we are having major issues. What happens if its fixed and a year later it happens again? It could explode in our home!!! SCARED & IRATE WITH MAYTAG & WHIRLPOOL.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator on April 4, 2012. This week, July 12, 2015, my compressor went out. I called repairman and he said the compressor was shot. I thought this refrigerator would last longer than 3 years. I had to go purchase a new refrigerator from Home Depot in Knoxville, TN at a cost of $1,057.95. I am 80 yrs. old, on Social Security and this was a lot for me to put out, since the Maytag should have lasted a lot longer than 3 yrs. I feel I am entitled to some reimbursement. The Maytag is a side by side, Model MSF25C2EXB00, Ser. HR21112159. Im disappointed in Maytag and will never recommend or buy another one.

We purchased a front loading Maytag washer in January of 2011. We purchased an extended service plan in January of this year. I noticed a very loud noise and inappropriate operation during the spin cycle. I called the service plan, who contacted a repair service to come out and check my machine. I was told that there was a major problem that would be very expensive to fix and that the Assurant company would contact me in a few days. The company called and said that they would give me 75% of the value of the machine ($650) because fixing it was not economically feasible. I said that I did not want the money; I wanted the repair that I was guaranteed by my service contract. They referred me to the small print on the back of the sales letter. When I asked about any manufacturers warranty from Maytag (the washer was less than 2 years old), I was told that they had nothing to do with the manufacturer and I had to take that up with them. When I tried to call Maytag, they were decidedly unhelpful and referred me back to Assurant.There are several issues related to this event that I wish to complain about: 1) How dare a major company sell a thousand-dollar appliance that becomes unrepairable in less than 2 years and take no responsibility for the breakdown? There was obviously a defect in the machine that took over a year to show up (we are a household of 2 adults and did not overuse the machine). 2) How could a service contract issued under the Maytag name not be aware of parts covered by the manufacturer? 3) Should not the buyer of a service contract bearing the Maytag name be informed that it is not Maytag (the manufacturer) that is guaranteeing the product, but a third party?4) Should not the seller of a service contract be required to display the terms of the contract in a prominent place? The sales letter specifically states Repair or replace - If we cant repair your appliance due to a mechanical or or electrical breakdown, well replace it. The limits of coverage are in fact given in small print at the back of the letter and are on the contract, but this contradicts what is displayed prominently on the promotion letter. This is false advertising and should not be tolerated.

We purchased the MMV4205DS over the range microwave in June of 2015 & installed it in July the same year. We purchased the matching range & a dishwasher at the same time as they were running a promo of $150 rebate if all 3 were purchased. They denied us of $50 of the rebate & stated that all of the paperwork was not submitted on time. We received rebates on 2 of the appliances & paperwork for all. 3 were in the same mailing. Hmmm. We were told a 3rd party handles their rebate program. So much for taking ownership. Yesterday the door open message appeared on the control panel of the microwave & now there is nothing; no light, no fan--completely dead. So much for buying American. Maytag does not see that this is a problem? Do NOT buy Maytag!!!

Just dont get clothes clean like the old agitators. Doesnt matter what brand you decide to get I guess. Had Samsung front loader before and was disappointed in that brand as well. Thought them both to be good buys... But miss my really washed clothes!

This Maytag (Whirlpool) model MDB7749SBMI dishwasher was purchased 10/28/13 at Home Depot. That makes it 2 1/2 years old to date. It has been a good dishwasher up until now. A few weeks ago I noticed it was doing something wonky. First of all it was not responding its usual way when I tried to turn it on after closing the door. The start button was not responding immediately, nor were some of the other buttons. I also noticed that after the dry cycle had completed and the door was then opened to unload, that the lights on the door were flashing. Then, when I shut the door after unloading the dishes, the washer would come on without having any buttons pushed. Recently, in addition to the difficulty we are experiencing getting it to start, the washer will keep running without ever turning off. Last night I turned it on before going to bed, and it was still running this morning. Calling the service number, the control panel part will run around $150, with a $98 charge for repairman to come out. Who knows if that 98$ isnt just to walk in the door, and whether that includes the time it takes to install the part. The dishwasher was around $400 with my husbands military discount from Home Depot, so it seems crazy to spend that kind of money to have a part replaced that is going to break again because of PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. If that part is replaced (at half the cost of the dishwasher) whos to say what other part is going to break next, perhaps requiring another service call plus price of part. So, conclusion is to throw this one in the landfill and purchase another dishwasher, sadly.The case of Planned Obsolescence is reflected in many of the comments/reports here on Consumer Affairs. The age of the failing control panels of the Maytag/Whirlpool washers are running around the same time spans. No doubt in my mind that these control panels are designed to fail after a specific amount of run cycles/time on this machine. These appliance companies that are manufacturing these total crap appliances so that people will have to buy replacements within 3 or 4 years are filling our already packed landfills while robbing the consumer. Its plain to see for all who care to investigate the matter. A service repairman whom Ive used for years and has been in the business for 25, told me that most appliances today are total pieces of junk compared what they used to be and are designed to fail. He said it has greatly impacted his business because people are replacing appliances versus repairing them because it is not cost effective to have them repaired. He also added that the guts of these appliances looked like they were made from Cracker Jack toy quality plastic materials. There should be laws to stop these manufactures from Planned Obsolescence, and we need to go back to the way appliances use to be made... to last! I have no idea what its going to take to ever see that happen. This is what happens when you have very little competition and 2 major appliance manufacturers. More parts are being designed to fail, so that they can line their pockets. Pitiful.

Bought the matching washer dryer set thinking would be energy saving and reliable. Two months after warranty ended it quit, press pause/start button, no reaction. Started looking online and found out this is Maytags Frankenstein. Checked obvious stuff like power supply. Wont be buying another Maytag product EVER. Dryer still works but washer dead. Am retired, low income. Cant afford expensive repairs. Maytag ought to be eating this, not the consumer.

We updated our kitchen appliances in 2013 and purchased all from Home Depot. Purchased Maytag Refrigerator, free standing range and microwave. What a big mistake!!! Not one of them are worth what we paid for them. I just noticed that I was getting a (chemical) smell from inside our 6 year old 3 door model MFI2670XEM5 refrigerator. Well being I know what refrigerant smells like I have a leak in the interior of unit. This is my final issue with Maytag and their so called great built appliances, I have had nothing but troubles since about 2 years after we purchased it.I guess what really surprises me is that unit is built by Whirlpool and has their name all over unit and I always had good luck in the past with the brand. This is one of several issues including rust on freezer door, broken plastic drawer frames to French door hinges broken, ice maker door issues. What a waste of my money that I spent on these and now after 6 years need to buy all new. IT WILL NOT BE Maytag or Whirlpool!!!

We ordered a new Bravos washer and dryer at the end of November but due to delivery snafus, we did not have both until the second week of December. Just yesterday, both failed. Part of the drum on the washer ripped off, and the dryer just stopped running an hour later. I am used to getting a long life out of appliances. The old dryer was over 20 years old, and while the old washer was only 17 years old, I thought it would be nice to get a matched set.

I have never had washing machine that caused this many headaches. The point of a machine is to save you time and energy washing by hand. When the cycle is over, the clothes are tightly spun together that we spend half an hour attempting to untie all the clothes that are woven together. The clothes come back to us in knots, or torn because of the rough nature this machine has created. I have never seen anything like this before and would gladly throw this piece of junk out. We are moving and it would create more headaches to deal with this at the moment. I read that the company had severe money problems and it was due to this very issue. I cant believe a company this well known would allow this to ever hit the market! To openly LIE to people and make money off a product that is faulty deserves the karma they get. Please stay away from this company and their rubbish machines they make and then sell. BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer in late 2007. We had a one-year warranty on the set. At just over 2 years, we started having problems with the washer. It started making a loud noise when spinning and started beeping all the time during the cycles. We contacted Maytag and they said the only thing they could do for us was to sell us an extended/repair warranty for $320.00. If the cost of fixing the machine was too much, they had the option to replace it with another machine equal to the value of the machine in todays market, or cash, or a gift card equal to that.We were angry about the cost of the warranty and we were unemployed at the time and couldnt afford that so we just had to let it go. The machine progressively got worse where only two of the cycles would work, but not without beeping several times where you had to fix the load, and the sound got so loud it sounded like you had a jet plane just overhead. Just the other day it completely quit working. We have been in contact with Maytag several times but their only answer is their repair warranty. Weve talked to numerous appliance repairman, who all knew exactly what was wrong because they have seen it so many times, and they told us that we have several things going wrong with the machine we would probably need a new drum, a new drain pump and a new control board.We were told that it would cost more to just buy the parts than it would be to buy a new machine. In the course of our phone calls to Maytag, they have continually told us that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do, in fact they only have record of two of our calls (how convenient!). Since experiencing the issues with the machine, we have researched it online and found that scores of consumers are dealing with the exact same problems we are having which shows that there are defects in the manufacturing of these machines. Maytag should be forced to fix these problems. They are well aware of them and they should have to back up their products.There should be a class action lawsuit out against them. We were told by an appliance repairman that Whirlpool (who bought out Maytag) has a washer called Cabrio that is the exact same model as the Bravo and that they do have a class action lawsuit out against this model. Consumers that purchased the Bravo should be included in that lawsuit. I am stuck with a broken down washer, mildewing clothes and dont know where to turn outside of paying out the money for the extended warranty with no guarantee of what we would get out of it, purchasing a used set with no guarantee, or putting out the expense for a new set.This set was an expense set and we went with Maytag because they used to have a good reputation, but we feel like we have been totally cheated. If the appliance companies were forced to offer a longer warranty on their products, they would have to manufacture them at a higher standard. For the cost of these new machines this is exactly what we as consumers should expect. Please help us to know which direction to go. Even with purchasing a new machine we are apprehensive!

Bravos quiet series 300 - After reading reviews on this washer and dryer I have to add my thoughts. I bought this set a few years ago and initially was very pleased. However, I am now having the same issues as everyone else. The bearing on my washer is bad and needs replacing to the cost of almost a new washer. My dryer started acting up at the same time, my clothes would not dry at all and I discovered the inside of the door was wet and after pulling out to check the wall vent, the vent had water puddled up inside the wall. The tubing from the dryer to the wall had mildew growing in it. Which may explain why my towels and clothes come out of the dryer smelling like mildew! The repairman was here today and repaired the dryer, there was a large amount of lint at the bottom of the dryer once he opened it up, which I believe could be a fire hazard. The seal (or felt seal) around the drum was coming off and had to glued back onto the drum. The belt under the dryer had come undone causing the dryer to not dry, but would spin. It is a shame that Maytag has not resolved the issues that everyone seems to be having, even if it has been years since we all purchased their product. Maytag is supposed to be a reliable product name and you would think they would like to fix this issue to keep their name clean! My first washer and dryer (which were Maytag) lasted more than 12 years and cost a lot less than this set which I dont think is more than 5 years old! I hate to spend more money on a new machine, but I may have no choice. Very sad customer right now.

I purchased Model #MHW563HW Frond loading automatic washer a little over 1 year. The options are not for me. The quick wash is way too short 20 minutes, all the rest of the options are 51 minutes to 2 hours & 57 minutes! If you wanted to add some extra minutes to the Quick wash you are out of luck. Normal wash is 55 minutes but can last much longer, it takes forever for this machine to balance which adds time to the process.I had an LG front washer before this one and when the clothes came out they were almost dry, not this washer, they are very wet. Then there is the horrible odor that comes after you use it, Ive tried drying every area making sure there isnt a drop in it. Still the stench is unbearable. Yes it has a Clean Washer with Affresh option which takes an additional 128 minutes and you have to do it at least once a week! Thats a LOT of wasted energy. That just doesnt sound efficient to me, washing the washer. Why??? This washer had great reviews which I read, not one mentioning these issues.

I purchased Maytag washer, as it was rated the best of the best at the store. First of all, Delicates cycle washes exactly like Normal. All my sweaters got ruined as the agitation is VERY HARD. I dont think the manufacture even knows what that cycle means! Absolutely awful! Theres no difference between Delicates and any other cycle!Second, Deep fill cycle. If you select off on that cycle the clothes get hardly damp. HOW can you wash hardly damp clothes???? If you go with Deep fill, the washer is supposed to weigh your laundry 1st and ONLY pour the water according to the weight. Well.... you can put only 5 small items and the washer fills all the way to the top! What the hell is this???? How can few items fill such a ginormous washer???? It doesnt work! Im so pissed and want this washer out of my laundry room!

Bravo XL - This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased! Loved it at first but after a year or so we couldnt wash a full load without error messages. Then we couldnt even wash one pair of jeans without an error message. Called to have it repaired and $300. Later the bearing was replaced and the washer worked wonderfully once again. Less than a year later and we are back to having a non functional washer. Cannot wash anything without the error message. Customer service is absolutely no help. For such an expensive washer and supposedly a good brand, this machine is a real disappointment.

I bought a (Maytag brand) Whirlpool washer but it didnt clean clothes, so I had a repairman out. He ran it through their test and agreed that my clothes had lint, pet hair, and dirt on them, and said that was as good as it was going to get. No one called back from Whirlpool. I called them and a second repairman came out, but it was the same story. I got the same repairman back out again after several calls to Whirlpool and listened while he called in and answered questions from Whirlpool - Is she using HE laundry soap, etc. - the same things they asked me. I bought the machine because it was supposed to have one of the largest capacities available. I stood there while the repairman told them that the clothes hanging to dry were covered in lint, dirty, and extremely wrinkled because they twist into a big knot in the machine, among others. No one called back again, so I called them. The service representative told me that I was loading the machine wrong, I was not using the right soap, and that the report they got from the repairman stated that the machine was working as intended. I told them that I was standing there as the repairman told them that my laundry was not clean. They told me that it was not what their record stated. I thought washing machines were supposed to get laundry clean and get the smell of body odor out. They suggested that I use the bulky setting, so I asked them if I should have to use the bulky setting for a load of underwear. They said that the machine was working as intended, but I wanted to have someone else come back out. The appointment was scheduled, but then the repair company called me and asked if I was aware that I would have to pay for the service call. I explained that there must be some kind of mistake because it was a new machine. She told me that Whirlpool had been doing this for a while and they werent sending out repair techs anymore without notifying the customer, and that Whirlpool has been doing it as standard practice for some time now. I requested a written statement from Whirlpool about the incidents but I was refused.

Similar to dozens of others, we purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in March 2011. Recently, it stopped working, dead - no lights, no action. Called Maytag and they referred me to a Maytag Repairman: Coastline Appliance Service of Huntington Beach, CA. The serviceman came out and spent 20 minutes, checked the door switch for continuity, and declared the control panel bad. How do you know its the control panel, I asked. Its my gut feel, based on experience, he said! He charged me $129 for the visit and said a new control panel would cost $380! After reading other posts online, I can only conclude that a new control panel (if that is, indeed, the problem) will also go bad in the next year or two. So, like so many others, were off to buy a new dishwasher - and we will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again.

I would like to start with, my Mother had always used Maytag washer and dryers. Her machines would last 20 years or more. I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer in 2006, since owning these machines have spent in upwards of $1400 in repairs. Some being flood out of tub, mother board blow out a couple of times as well as various other issues. The biggest problem is the awful smell of our clothes, I must wash clothes multiple times to try and remove these smells. I tried contacting Maytag and they dont want to hear my complaints and push me off to purchasing another washer and dryer. Oh, I will be buying a new washer and dryer it just will not be Maytag. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy another Maytag. This is not the same company my Mother knew and trusted.

The machine can clean even king size quilts, and clothes come out very clean. It is a front load and there are no problems with odors. There are many cycles to choose from. Cycles spin gently enough while getting out most of the moisture.

I purchased a washer in July and its already off track. When I seen it I know it was junk but the sales person assured me it was a good product. 3 months later its off track. No spinning. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher 2011! Use it 2 weeks, digital board went down had it replaced! Now 2013, the board is down as well as the motor!! Can you imagine I use it once a day, at most 2 people in this house, and it completely breaks down! Thank goodness I have a Home Depot warranty. I would strongly advise against this product that I spent over $500 for 2 years ago!! How they could sell this dishwasher is a mystery.

I have only had this machine for 2 weeks after having a Maytag since 1994. Even broken, my old machine was far superior to this one, a Maytag Bravos. Fortunately, the salesman noted that I wouldnt be happy with this machine but, thanks to a government mandate, all new machines behave in a similar manner to save water and energy. This agitator-less machine neither washes nor rinses the clothes/bedding/towels properly. It takes four times as long to wash the items but doesnt get them nearly as clean. Today, I put 2 pairs of shorts, 2 T-shirts and a standard bed-sized mattress cover in to wash. The mattress cover never even got thoroughly wet even though I used the deep wash and extra rinse settings. Last week I put sheets in the sheet setting only to have them come out totally wrinkled and stiff as a board with soap even though I used the recommended amount of detergent. This is a disaster. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag and the U.S. Govt. A river and a flat rock would work better!

I have a new Centennial Maytag dryer. What a horrible sound it makes when the time is up!!! I had another Maytag dryer for 19 years and it did not sound as obnoxious as this new one. HELP!! I can tell some man invented it.

My Maytag Bravos washer is 6 years old. I had to have the motor replaced about 2 years ago. Now, it gets stuck on uL on every spin cycle. I had a technician come, and was told its just cheaper to replace the machine at this point. What happened to the Maytag man of old, the one who never has any work to do because the machines are built so well?!

I have owned my Maytag washer for approximately five years. Ive always used the recommended detergent and religiously used the tabs to clean the machine when it was required. I have never abused the machine by overloading it, using too much detergent, etc. It is now coming up with an LF code. There is no one in this area who does repairs and if I do find someone Im sure theyll want some exorbitant amount to come all the way out to the boonies to give an estimate and the repairs Im sure will be hefty. I take very good care of all my appliances and expected this machine to last much longer.

I purchased this washer January 2020. Bravos XL model# MVWB830DW5 is the worst washing machine ever. Does not clean your clothes, leaves soap residue on your clothes. Clothes aren’t fully submerged in water for the wash or rinse cycles. Do not waste your money. You will be highly disappointed.

A washer should last 10 years. Bought it in 2009 - after two years we spent $200+ on seal and bearings. Now, in 2014 we need more seal and bearings and the service tech recommended by Maytag says the cost will be $500+. Machine has a serious design flaw, and bad parts, and bad service.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher (MDB7749SBM) and 1 yr and 4 months the control panel went out and all Maytag would do is tell me that they will pay for the parts, and I have to pay for the labor. I remember when Maytag had the best Warranty on their appliances. I am very disappointing with paying for labor. They also offer an extended plan of $269.00 for a year. What a joke!!!

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Not a good value for the money!! That was the first time and last time I buy a Maytag... Thats the last $5000 they will get from us!

148013 Stan & Pauls Dartmouth MA - 3 yrs ago we remodeled the kitchen... I went with Maytag appliances because I was always told they were good. I should have stayed with GE. Dishwasher touch pad is gone again... 2nd time in 3 yrs. Last one cost us 265.00. We are senior and thought these appliances would outlast us. We only use it about twice a week. Our freezer door tracks and door needed to be replace 6 mo after purchase. WE lost all the food that had defrosted. Our oven coil burned out already also... that was expensive to replace. Only thing that we have not had to repair (knocking on wood) is the microwave. STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG, FOLKS!!

I have purchased the Bravo washer less than 2 years ago. Within one year the mother board went. They replaced it because it was less than a year. Here I am not a year later and the mother board went again. It’s not under warranty so this time its on me. I call and all they say is “there is nothing saying they are having any problems with this.” Now I happen to know my own sister bought the same washer one month before I did. She was also told it was her mother board. It was almost as much to replace than to buy a new washer and by the way she is the who recommend the product to me, so I know she called Maytag and complained so if 2 of us in the same family had an issue I find it hard to believe no one else did. You call and they could care less. I would recommend never to purchase Maytag AGAIN!

I would say you have plenty of options when choosing a color for your dishwasher. You can choose black or stainless. Try one today you wont be disappointed. I load plenty of dishes into the space. It has extra pockets for little things and it has plenty of hooks and hangers to use for bigger cycles. Kenmore Dishwasher runs great. Very efficient and cleans the tough stains better than any dishwasher Ive ever used. I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a dishwasher. Of all the dishwashers I researched at Lowes and Home Depot and Sears and Ace and other local stores, the Maytag was the lowest price with all the features I wanted.

Both Sears and Maytag have lost my business FOR GOOD! We purchased a Maytag Bravo XL # MGDB980W0 2 years ago. We called within the 1 year warranty period via Sears, they sent a tech out then charged us. The dryer kept shutting off before clothes were dry. We thought the problem resolved, then reoccurred after the 1 yr period. Neither Sears or Maytag would stand behind the product citing it has been discontinued due to problems. Well... yeah, no kidding. We paid BGE energy efficiency company to come out and evaluate it. They tweaked the exhaust vent and cleaned out the duct, however, they said we needed a new sensor. My wife bought a new sensor, installed it, and the dryer still wont work right! (Shutting off prior to clothes being dry). BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: I researched and bought a new gas LG dryer on sale at Home Depot and shelled out $849 unnecessarily thanks to shoddy product and lack of company integrity. DO NOT BUY SEARS OR MAYTAG!!!

Overall- I think washers aren’t made to last like they once were. Growing up- we had the same washing machine while living at home. It seems now- they only last 10 years if you are lucky. They should make more longer lasting machines.

Dishwasher is around two-three years old and it will not start or drain. From what I can tell on the internet, this touch-pad control panel has been an ongoing problem for Maytag. Will try to fix myself, and if I cant fix it, I will buy a new dishwasher but not a Maytag. By the way, my washer and dryer both went out this year - five years old and both are Maytags. Stay away from this brand.

We bought MDB7759AWB Maytag dishwasher in 2011. It worked decently until now when it stopped delivering water to the upper rack. The cleaning quality on the lower rack also dropped significantly although it might be due to the lack of water delivery to the upper rack. Apparently there is something wrong with the internal pump. The Maytag service offered a repair for $300+ which I rejected because this is a ridiculous cost and I would rather buy a different dishwasher. My conclusion is that if you buy Maytag dishwasher you need to factor about $300+ for the repair(s) in 5 years as apparently they do when they sell you this product. Anyway, even though Maytag was a decent brand a long time ago (probably in the past century), it is not reliable anymore. It does not mean it has to be much worse than many others but if you are looking for something better than those others I would not recommend Maytag.

Purchased refrigerator with freezer on bottom. Purchased because made in America and husband raised in IA. Have had water leakage on floor every other day. Disconnected ice maker thinking that would help. NOT. Poor workmanship. You were good, WHAT happened?

We recently purchased a Maytag Washer/Dryer set, but shortly after it arrived, we realized it was way too big for our needs, so traded it in for a smaller model (Model #MVWB765FC3). After a few washes, it developed a loud clicking noise during the entire wash cycle. Inquired about it at the retailer we purchased it from (showed them video of it) and was told it was not supposed to make that noise. Subsequently the Maytag Repairman paid us a visit and told us theres nothing wrong with the machine and that the retailer should not have told us what they did.#1). The machine did not make that noise initially. It started after a few loads of laundry. #2). The first machine we brought home was the same model (only larger) and that one didnt make that noise. To add insult to injury, the repairman has the audacity to tell my husband, Well, this visit didnt cost you anything. Really?! It cost him 4 hours of pay while he sat home waiting for you! In addition, we were delivered two cosmetically defective dryers that had to be returned. Furthermore, when I was washer/dryer shopping, I sent Maytags Customer Service Dept. an e-mail through their website asking questions about the product. To this day, I have still not received a response. I had a bad experience about 20 years ago with Maytag, but thought Id give them a second chance. I tell you...there will not be a 3rd time.

Maytag range model mer8875ws - Glass top broke on brand new oven over most used burner then glass spider lined out from there. Wife called Maytag and they told her that it broke from the impact of something dropping on it. I guess the man was psychic because he had no picture of SO CALLED IMPACT SITE. Now they wont replace or fix range, ** Maytag. Paid 699 for range they want to charge me 900 to fix. MMOOORROOONNSS! Like ** thats how big business treats everyone now. Maytag calls peeling paint a cosmetic issue. With a convection oven it could be a toxicity issue. Waiting for an answer to my question as the fan blows the peeling paint onto anything that is not covered. Dont put foil on the bottom as this compromises the paint due to design. Truly sorry to have purchased Maytag as this line is not the Maytag we grew up with! Old school ovens and products had the quality or workmanship to last.

Had a brand new Maytag MDB4949 dishwasher installed on 10/20/15. Noticed an acrid smell of burning plastic coming from the pull handle. After going to the reviews I see a pattern of shorting control panel boards melting the ribbon cable. Having repaired Xerox copy machines for 17 years, I recognized the smell of an electronics short and melting plastic. There are 600+ complaints for the same thing. Going to call the store we purchased it from and will escalate from there.

I like Maytag but my low water no agitator washer does not do the job as well as it could. Also if a coin gets in the washer it is very hard to get out of the crevasse in the tub area. Most people from time to time have some change ending up in the washer...it should be easier to retrieve.

I will never buy this product again or anything with the Maytag brand. I purchased my washer less than a year ago and it makes all these awful noises. When called company they would not come fix it. Money wasted.

Maytag model mfd2561hes French door stainless steel purchased in June 2005 has been the worst appliance purchase ever. After 1 year warranty expired, icemaker and water dispenser stopped working. Was told by repairman to thaw the tube for water dispensing with a hair dryer. Are you kidding me? Why should I have to pull a huge refrigerator out from wall and put the hair dryer to it to thaw out the water line when I need water? What is the convenience to that? Cant buy fresh vegetables as it will freeze before I can use it. This is the worst appliance ever. Dont buy Maytag products. Maytag doesnt back products like the old days when they would last 20 + years. Cant last even a year anymore. Sad!

I bought a Maytag Centennial Commercial washer, 3.8 cubic feet, Model # MVWC425BW on September 17, 2014. My clothes were never clean and barely wet. The machine took almost 2 hours to do a load of clothes and they werent even clean! I bought the 3-year extended warranty through Lowe’s. Three years and 8 days later the machine stopped working. Serviceman came out and told me the washer was fatally wounded. He said the transmission failed. He also told me the replacement part would be $400.00 and that it wasnt worth it. He said these machines are junk and Maytag has had all kinds of issues with them. So Maytag knows these machines fail and yet do nothing for their consumers. Maytag, you will only ride on your name for so long; consumers are catching on. Maybe back in my Moms day you were the go-to brand but Im afraid that ship has sailed. Ive always gone with Maytag but now I question that choice. I came on Consumer Affairs page to see what brand I could buy other than Maytag. Seems Kenmore gets high marks.

Maytag Dishwashers work great. It cleans well and appearance is very good. I have always trusted Maytag appliances. Its quiet running and also energy saver. If I had to replace I would stay with Maytag.

PURCHASED WASHER FROM LOWES. IT STOPPED WORKING IN 2 WEEKS. CALLED MAYTAG FOR SERVICE. First repair service wanted to charge me. Next repair company Rawlings made 2 visits, looked at washer 1st visit said they had to order top latch. 2nd visit need circuit board. 3 weeks passed no latch, no circuit board, nor repair service. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER.

Our refrigerator is 2 years old and still under warranty. The ice maker had to be replaced. Now the water leaks on the floor. The deli drawer cover broke and when you get ice out of the ice dispenser it flies all over and goes on the floor. Our dealer has been fairly helpful.

Model MDB7749AWB2 Dishwasher - we purchased this dishwasher 3 years ago on 12/23/2011 and it appears to be falling apart. We have replaced two thermo fuses, one door latch/switch and now need the front control panel and handle because two mounting locations for the six screws have broken off. I truly expected a much longer product life than three years when I purchased a Maytag. So much plastic in crucial high stress areas must have slipped by the engineering folks. Or was it just cost cuts. I believe it will be a long time before I consider a Maytag product again based on this one. Thank you.

Frigidaire makes a good fridge. It works good. It has an alarm when you leave as door open. Great appliance. If I could afford it Id get another one when this old model I have gives up on me.

Maytag topwasher 2011 model MVWB300WQ2, SERIAL C11271134 - Im from the old school, expecting to get my money worth. I purchased a Maytag Bravos automatic washer in 2011, now less than 5 years later, it has a very loud knocking noise during the draining and spin cycles.

Does a good job of cleaning but takes much longer to complete. Pretty much standard features. Has rinse only cycle, air dry only cycle, and cycle for pots and pans. Top rack had special holders for long stemmed glasses which I dont need. Standard size. Same size as my Kitchen Aid. White, front load, no special appearance. It takes much longer than my old dishwasher. Also the soap dispenser broke after 2 months and had to be replaced. It requires that two buttons have to be pushed to start. My old one only required one. It does a good job of cleaning.

Recently purchased a washer from Home Depot. Machine is now on its 3rd repair. The wiring harness is fired. Could have caused a fire. Now they still will not replace and part is on order which will take 4 weeks to be in stock. I called Maytag and expressed my concerns to which they could not help me as every washer is theirs can be repaired. I really don’t understand what happened to making things right. Very frustrated that they will not repair or reimburse for that matter. Please refund my mom and pick it up.

7 years is all I got from these appliances. The Maytag Washer started making a horrible noise when washing then smoke and shut off. Dryer would not shut off. We have taken excellent care with these appliances servicing them as we had an extended warranty on both. They cost us over $600 for the washer and $589 for the dryer, a big rip off! I purchased them in hopes I would at least get 15-20 years of service as Maytag is to be one of the best. Do not purchase any products from this company, they also have sister companies. Make sure when you need an appliance, you ask who makes them.

Maytag MBD7749SB - We purchased this dishwasher for close to $800 at Home Depot. After close to 1 year we had to replace control panel. After another 5 months we have to replace control panel again, but product warranty is only 1 year. Now we have to either buy new warranty for ~$250 or replace control panel for same amount. Customer service: terrible. We will not buy product from Maytag again.

My dishwasher like many others have mentioned is experiencing the same control panel issues. When I set it to Wash, it spontaneously goes to Rinse Only. I am unsure exactly the age, but given the number of complaints Ive read, with the same problem, it seems as though, there was a flaw many years ago in design and regardless of issues hasnt been resolved with the newer models either. I realize appliances dont last forever, but Maytag was always known for the lonely repairmen and Id hoped the brand would continue to live up to its advertising, despite being purchased by Whirlpool.

First I do like the fact that it spins at such a high speed that the water is mostly gone, and that is the good news. I do like that it uses less water but when washing any dark colored clothes there are dirt or scum like marks where the clothes may have been folded or twisted in knots which I also do not like. I have cleaned machine but this started when new. Drying doesnt get rid of those scum marks either. I never had this problem with my old full fill machine. I have used more detergent and less HE of course in both liquid and powder. Any suggestions?

I bought this range Nov 2019, beautiful range that’s it. Stove top scratches very easily and hard to clean. Oven racks rust, got them replaced on the guaranty they still rust. Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... Sure would like a full refund, I mean 1500. What a ripoff.

1 year 4 month old fridge went out. Waited a month for part/repair. No help from customer service. $1200 fridge, $700, lots of angry calls, no luck. Customer service is horrible. Buyer beware. This machine has received several complaints. Not long after purchase, the washer started to stop during the fill cycle and give an error code no. This is supposed to be sure to overloading the machine. The other reason they give is something stuck item the baskets. Again not the case. Supposedly it must be a motor issue. Maytag was my trusted band. Our last Maytag lasted us almost twenty five years.I was excited to get this machine but disappointed with the lack of clean clothes, error codes, and noisy operation. My first clue should have been the one year only warranty. Thats how much they believe in their products. Ill never trust Maytag again. So sad that whirlpool should sabotage the Maytag brand and turn an otherwise great washer manufacturer into a piece of junk manufacturer. Dont buy whirlpool either as thats how much they care for customers.

There are few nightmares that worm their way into reality, but the forcing upon us of the low water washing machine has excelled beyond mans wildest imagination. A tool which everyone finds an absolute necessity is now a tool which does not work! In reference to this particular machine, there isnt enough water to wet the clothes, it beats the garments with such viciousness, even on hand wash, pieces go missing off the clothes, ripped into oblivion. You no longer can buy a machine which does not SENSE the water level, so we have all been reduced to either buying new clothes every week, or wearing crumpled wrinkled disasters which arent quite clean, and we get to use 3x the electricity and waste 3x more water, not to mention wasted time in repeating the process in hopes of getting our clothes clean and wearable.

My Maytag washing machine is nothing like the ones that my mom used to have. This thing is loud as it click, click clicks through cycles. Being a mechanical engineer, I assume that parts are taking a beating inside that machine to make all that noise. Then comes the wash time on this thing. With water level on auto sensing and one rinse, this machine takes over an hour to do a batch of wash. It literally stops dead for at least a full minute between each cycle then click, click, clicks its way to the next. It does not rinse very well as more often then not there is soap scum on the clothes when the washer finally stops. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND! Maytag is garbage!

This is a Bravos MTC machine. It is a top load and has an energy star rating. Made in the United States. Impressed by its low water usage and Its ability to clean clothes. This particular model comes with a 10 year limited parts warranty, drive motor and washbasket.

Faulty control board. Have owned a Maytag dishwasher model MDB6769PASI for 2.5 years. The unit started beeping at random times for about a week - then went dead! Sounds like other reported failures and it is unlikely repairs will be permanent! Never again Maytag.

My husband and I bought this refrigerator on 11/24/17 at Lowes for $2969.00 (excluding tax and white glove delivery). Never thought that not even after less than 2 years we would be having so many issues with this unit. The fridge part stopped cooling a couple of months ago and we were told by a technician that it was due to some coolant issue which of course our home warranty (Choice Home Warranty) wouldnt cover the repair. Well my husband fought them and we were able to have a second technician come and told us it was a sensor issue which he replaced. In the meantime I called Maytag to complain and they wouldnt even send someone to take a look. Anyway, the fridge worked after they replaced the sensor but unfortunately last week we started having the same issue. You would think for such a price you would get a decent unit, but big mistake there...now we have to find a way to replace it and we have little kids in the house. I also find out that Lowes doesnt even carry that brand anymore, perhaps because its defective. Maytag doesnt want to help us and Lowes cant do anything about it. So please STAY AWAY!!!! Should we be compensated, yes I believe so and so does anyone going through the same issue. Money doesnt grow on trees, stop deceiving your consumers Maytag!

We purchased a French door Maytag refrigerator model MFD2561HEB in November 2007. In August 2008, the unit stopped working suddenly. The high voltage control board was replaced under warranty, but the tech could not determine why the board failed. I called Maytag to demand a new refrigerator. The best they would do was to extend the warranty for 6 months, no charge. The unit quit twice more in September. A tech was summoned (paid service call), nothing found. It started working again. Since then, the thing has quit several times. We unplug, move all food to a second refrigerator, wait a day, plug it in, and move the food back. The useless box quit completely this week, not quite 5 years of service life. The tech said the board must be replaced again, no guarantee. We declined. I called Maytag again to demand a new replacement and escalated the complaint. They are to call back, ha! In the 5 years of poor service (and poor customer service) from Maytag, the 30-year old second refrigerator has been up to the task of preserving our food. This experience has made me vow never to do business with a Whirlpool-affiliated brand again.

Nobody seems to know how to replace this part online. I have discovered what a POS this Maytag MGDC700VWO dryer is. The ONLY way to access this part is to beat an access hole in the bottom-left panel. After the repair, you are left with a nice 4 hole??? What an absolute POS! The back panel has screws but after removing them, I discovered the panel is also tack-welded! This is beyond stupid! Maytag used to be a great product before they were obviously sold to the Yugo factory. Time to move on.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher MDB7749AWM1 in May of 2011. Yesterday, the on button would not work, so I called a serviceman out from Maytag. He said the whole panel needs to be replaced, parts and service will cost me $240.00. What a shame. 2 months out of warranty. I had two previous Maytag dishwashers, lasted for years with no problem. The newer models are junk, do not buy them! I can see by the other complaints that they had the same problem. They do not stand behind their product. I wonder how long the new panel will last? Im done with Maytag products!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

I purchased a new washer and dryer from Lowes a few months ago. I had my former washer and dryer for nearly 20 years and although the dryer started to have some issues, the washer worked wonderfully. To have a matching set, I decided to purchase both a new washer and dryer. I was told the Maytag Bravos XL model was the top of the line and could handle large loads. After just a few washes I realized this machine does not add enough water to get the top clothes wet and there is no agitator to pull the clothes into the water. I returned to Lowes and was told to use the deep water wash. I tried that and still had clothes coming out from the wash still dry and dirty. Unfortunately Lowes would not take the machines back and I was told to call Maytag. Maytag said there was nothing they could do except send out a technician for a service fee of $98 to help me determine if the machine is functioning correctly. I could not dislike a washer and dryer more! The dryer catches clothes on one of the screws inside and pulls fabric pieces out. This is in my opinion the worst washer dryer set I could imagine having. I will share my experience with as many people as I can to help others avoid making the costly mistake of purchasing a Maytag product. Maytag does not seem to care they have designed and sold a dysfunctional product!

We bought this refrigerator in 1998 and it is still going strong. It has gotten a bit noisy over the years when defrosting, but it works great. It is not as fancy as the freezer over top, but it is large and so is the refrigerator.

At 36 months old, my Maytag refrigerator has already suffered from a Freon leak. After repair, the leak continued causing the fridge not to produce ice. After another Freon charge 7 days later, the fridge will freeze ice only in a manual ice tray. The water in the ice maker for whatever reason will not freeze? To make matters even worse, the freezer fan has been noisy for the last year. Maytags solution is to purchase extended warranty for $300 plus or hire repair person at $100 for first hour. A 36 month old refrigerator is in essence a disposable item. Basically for a $700 fridge… that breaks down to about $20.00 per month service charge and then it’s time to replace!

Our washer sounds like an airplane taking off. Called a repair man and the repairs are $690.00. The washer cost $999.00; such a waste of money. I called Maytag and they say there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER buy a Maytag again.

I have a dishwasher that would randomly leave chunks of food on dishes, above and beyond not working and would take entirely too long to clean the dishes. This silly thing would run for hours but still produce dishes that were clumped with food. The local Maytag could have cared less. They said that it was the wrong detergent or hard water or we have not pre-cleaned enough. I am taking the old dishwasher to the range for proper disposal as a backstop, and buying something not made by imbeciles.

No problem with retailer. Problem is this top of the line Maytag dishwasher, Model# MD8895lAWW. Stinks all around. Takes long to wash and load, times are far apart and too few so holds few dishes. Dishes and glasses break because of the tine spaces. Horrible dishwasher for high price. I hate it so much it upsets me daily. All I get is a sorry from Maytag. Its not that old, only a year and a half. Why no satisfaction? I will avoid all Maytag products for life.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in April 2012. The electronic control panel failed in October 2013. Repair quote was $250, and there is no guarantee that the new control panel will not suffer the same consequences. My research has revealed that this is a very common problem with the dishwasher experienced by a large amount of owners, all about at the 18-month mark. I contacted the company and was chastised for not purchasing the extended warranty and was basically told, Too bad so sad. Buyer beware, do your research before you purchase this appliance. I will never buy a Maytag appliance, or any brand associated with the Maytag name.

Purchase brand new range a couple of months ago. Self-clean oven does NOT self-clean and leaves weird, flakes of something that stick to oven floor. Burners are inconsistent and difficult to control heat level. Take forever to get warm, and then either boil over or wont get warm enough. Purchased this with inheritance from my mother - how sad! Always had such faith in Maytag.

I just had an astonishing phone call with Maytag customer service (1-800-344-1274). My mind is boggled; my tongue is tied. Only Consumeraffairs.com can offer relief from the bleak, solitary misery engendered by this disorienting encounter. I called Maytag to seek information regarding the number of gallons used by any of the wash cycles of the Maytag BRAVOS series 300 (Model: MVWB450WQ2). I live in California, and like millions of others, Im curious as to what the maximum amount of water used per wash might be. I told the customer service agent that Id be happy with an estimate of any parameter: the maximum water demand for any cycle, the minimum, the average any ballpark estimate would be great! My goal is to change in a meaningful way our weekly water use. How much does it matter if I do my familys laundry once vs. twice per week? Is it any more water-efficient to run one large load vs. two small ones? The Customer Service agents would offer only a scripted response to my query. Could they tell me the minimum or maximum amount of water used (on average) by any of the cycles? Any cycle any condition, just an estimate, please. A universal it depends was all I could extract.The scripted answer? The amount of water used depends on the sensor and the exact conditions. Well, yes, of course; I dont expect a specific amount. Just as the amount of gas used by a car depends on the length of a trip and the speed driven, the amount of water used per cycle will vary, but nevertheless we know, more or less, how much gas is used by a Toyota Camry on a trip between New York and the Maytag Customer Service office in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I noted that, if Maytag claims to build high efficiency (HE) machines, then they must be HE in comparison to something, right? -- otherwise how could they claim that these machines used less water? Less than... what?** insisted that no one at Maytag could tell me the answer. He asked, What reason could Maytag have not to disclose this information? I know this isnt the answer you want to hear, but its simply not available. Not even a range of water use per cycle required/solicited/demanded by the sensor? Can Maytags engineers be so indifferent that they never tested any cycle for its water use, but instead they just imagine that, by virtue of its mysterious sensor, it was lower than the use by their non-efficient machines? Your help in getting to the bottom of what felt like an act of stonewalling would be highly appreciated!

Maytag Bravo washer and dryer purchased April 2011. Dryer works fine and am pleased with results. Washer does not clean simple dirt and stains off clothing. Washer never fills to a water level that covers all the clothing. Some clothing never gets submerged, thus simple stains never get water contact throughout the cycle. I now spend more money purchasing spray stain removers and using the heavy duty cycles and extra rinses, would have been better off getting a Kenmore with an agitator. The concept does not work.

From the beginning, the blower motor (for the control panel? never needed one before) was too noisy. I just bought the oven from Lowe’s. They sent out a repairman. He replaced the motor, but has exactly the same level of noise. It is bad design/engineering. Im going to try some other brand. One problem is that you cant listen to the fan noise before you buy the oven and install it. And there are no decibel requirements or ratings. Industry regulations need improvement. Model MEW7527A, bought new in Dec. 2012.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. We have had a Maytag Bravos washer for a while, which has a see-through top load lid and a very small or low agitator. I have to say that I really miss the old fashioned agitator which makes all the clothes being dragged underwater and scrubbed well. We have watched the loads being washed in this washer many times and the clothes are not being swished around very effectively. You feel like you need to help it getting the clothes washed as it seem like it just sit in the same place throughout the cycle. The clothes ends up in big knots around the edges, and you can see the same towel sitting on the top during the 2-minute rinse cycle, never getting completely under water. During the wash cycle, the lid gets locked, so you are not able to open it up to untangle or move towels around if it has gotten unevenly distributed. The wash cycle is very quick, so all in all, Im not sure how clean the laundry really is when its done. We will never buy this kind of washer again.

Maytag, you are still trading on your good name but that will not last! I owned a Maytag, agitator style, for 20 years and it was still running just fine when we built a new house. I thought it would be wise to buy new appliances for my new laundry room so I chose the beautiful and expensive Maytag Bravos XL. I regret that decision. The washer lasted 4 years and began to have problems draining last week. The liquid that stayed in the washtub until the repairman could get here was so foul smelling! He came back today to replace the drain pump and now the washer is showing that the interface and CCU are not communicating. So now we are ordering another CCU and I hope this fixes the problem. I agree with all of you who say you will NEVER buy another Maytag again. Maytag, are you listening?

The digital display on our Maytag Washer model MVWB765FW, bought 3/22/2017, failed overnight (whilst the machine was not operating) after 3 1/2 years. A reputable firm came out and diagnosed the problem, their report concluded that the Control Board had failed and needed replacing: they provided a verbal quote of $525 [ ! ] to do that. The machine cost $600 and based on the expected life for washers (per Consumer Reports) of ten years would have a maximum residual value of $420 based on straight-line depreciation. The retailer from whom we bought the washer told us that he had contacted Maytag and asked them what they were prepared to do about this failure: a week later and absolutely no response from the manufacturer. Apparently Maytag has no concern for their customers or their own reputation. We made the mistake of buying this machine based on Maytag’s reputation and a ten year warranty which appears to cover only parts unlikely to fail! NO MORE MAYTAGS FOR US.

I contacted Maytag, and they claimed to know of NO issues with this fridge. I told them its all over the internet, many others with the same fridge and same problem. Anybody up for a class action?

I have never liked the stove because it is too small (it came with the triplex) and it has porcelain like top. One burner burns to hot, the other three mediocre, there isnt enough space between the burners and the back of the stove. It doesnt cook evenly and it really does not have a low or simmering setting. You cant set a timer for simmering because it cooks too fast. The knobs are stuck and sometimes wont light when you turn them down. The oven is okay, but could be better. Wish it had self cleaning. The broiler in no existence. Food way too close to the flames. We have had this oven since we bought the triplex back in 2011.

I bought the matching Bravos washer and dryer 4 years ago. I always bought Kenmore appliances but decided, based on the then reviews, that I would upgrade to Maytag. Biggest mistake I have made! I am a very tolerant person always looking for the best in anything. But I have to say, I hate both the washer and dryer. My clothes are faded, they shrink in the dryer even on delicate. I really cant say anything good about them. Today I washed 2 twin sheets, one king top sheet, and one very thin blanket. When I opened the washer, one twin sheet was on top and not even wet. So now I get to run another load and have to wait to remake my bed. When I have washed rugs on bulky, they are filled with soap when finished. Half the time, it doesnt spin out the water and I run a second and third spin cycle on a variety of items. I avoid doing laundry because it is so frustrating. I am retired so I cant afford to replace them. I just dont want anyone else to suffer the same frustrations!
