I purchased this dryer in September 2011. By August 2012, one month before the warranty expires, the thermo fuse blew and the dryer would not dry; no heat. I replaced fuse and 30 days later, it blew again. I replaced it again and now, March 2013, 6 months later, the same thing; the thermo fuse blew, no heat. The vent is clean and air flow is very good. Maytag will not admit a problem. This is not an inexpensive dryer; it may be cheap, but not inexpensive. Maytag quality appears to have vanished. I have Maytag throughout the house but will think twice before purchasing Maytag again. Chinese produced parts/products are inferior. Maybe Ill look at Bosch or LG from now on.

2 years ago I purchased a Maytag Washer & Gas Dryer. Unfortunately, I did not invest or believe in extended warranties. I believe in trying to buy quality products. The door on the washer would not open and 2 error codes were displayed. I was trying to add another piece of laundry and the washer had just started. I canceled the load, waited for the door lock light to go out, but the door would not open. The error codes began displaying E3 and F5. I immediately went to the Maytag website for a resolution. The suggestions did not work and was instructed to obtain service if they did not. I called for a service call for $35, but was told that the repair would be over $300 for parts and that was not including labor. The parts I needed were a control panel and a part for the door lock. This was not a Maytag Company service tech and he told me that this happens because the parts are plastic. Currently, besides a Maytag Washer & Dryer I have a microwave, stove, and dishwasher that are also Maytag. When I replace these appliances, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG PRODUCT. I expect the quality and life of an appliance to be more than 2 years, without buying an extended warranty. When I told a friend what had happened with my Maytag Washer, she told me that she had a Maytag Washer broke down with a control panel problem, and she couldnt remember the other part. She informed me that her repair was over $500.

At 36 months old, my Maytag refrigerator has already suffered from a Freon leak. After repair, the leak continued causing the fridge not to produce ice. After another Freon charge 7 days later, the fridge will freeze ice only in a manual ice tray. The water in the ice maker for whatever reason will not freeze? To make matters even worse, the freezer fan has been noisy for the last year. Maytags solution is to purchase extended warranty for $300 plus or hire repair person at $100 for first hour. A 36 month old refrigerator is in essence a disposable item. Basically for a $700 fridge… that breaks down to about $20.00 per month service charge and then it’s time to replace!

In October 2017, I purchased a Maytag MVWB765FW0, thinking that it would live up to the Maytag reputation but I will NEVER buy Maytag again. This machine is more suitable to wash industrial canvas rather than clothing and bedding. All the laundry is twisted and mangled and ends up in a large tangled ball at the bottom of the tub. My clothing is being destroyed faster than I can replace it.

This is just a heads up to anyone thinking about purchasing the front loading Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. We spent $1900.00 on these machines and have had nothing but trouble from them. I will never purchase a Maytag or now, Whirlpool appliance again. As to the rating above, if I could post negative 150 stars I would. I have spent as much in repairs as the new dryer cost.

Model MDB7749AWM2. Paid over $700.00. Figure I would get a good dishwasher so it would last and clean dishes. I was wrong. I replaced all new appliances for kitchen in house we had purchase 3 years ago. I replaced door switch 4 times, front door panel where screws go in broke off. Salesman at Lowe’s said Maytag was a good dishwasher. It is a stainless front and stainless inside. I have had cheaper models and never had problems with.

We purchased a 3K Maytag refrigerator/freezer and purchased an extended warranty as well. 5 months later the ice machine stopped working. We called Maytag to get it repaired since its under the 1 yr factory warranty and they sent an appliance service company they contract with to repair it. 6 service calls and two months later its still not repaired. I called Maytag back to say if you cant fix it please replace it. They say it needs to be deemed not repairable to even consider replacement and that they would send out a different repair company. As of yesterday (9/(9/14) another month and a half and 5 trips from the second repair company and it still does not work, so I call Maytag again to complain and they give me the same line ....needs to be deemed unrepairable... How long and how many service calls does it take to fix a ice maker? How much work and how many hours do I need to miss to get what I paid for? I went to their website and it talks about how their mission statement is customer service etc, etc, etc..... Thats just a bunch of lip service and judging by the HUNDREDS of complaints I have read this is their standard method of operation.... I for one will not let this go and will be filing a claim in small claims court to get what I paid for..... BE WARNED if you are looking to purchase a appliance.

MCBH979SAB0 - I am also frustrated with Maytag for the same exact problem... the control panel and the dishwasher not working just after our year warranty went out. I purchased this product because of a recall on my former Maytag dishwasher. I was told I should purchase this new model to replace it, only to get fooled again. This seems like BAD business on Maytag! How can we get an official complaint to someone who can fix this? Why would a company like Home Depot continue to support this business!!

I purchased our washer and dryer together in 2012. Now my washer is making a really bad sound on the spin cycle. I talked to Maytag in Tenn. and they wanted 130.00 just to show up. Plus 300 to 500 for the parts that was needed. Wow. I am retired and on a fix income. I called a local repairman in OkC. After telling him the brand of washer I had, he said he would not come out to fix it because of the money would be expensive. 300 to 500 dollars for parts. He said it would be cheaper for me to purchase a new one. This seems to be a real problem. I talked to Maytag supervisor and she could not wait for me to get off the phone. Nor would she give me her name. Buy Whirlpool!!!!!!!!

We purchased our Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 2006. Months after our purchase, we tried every HE detergent we could find to see if our towels would smell fresh. Nothing we have tried has worked. I just went to Maytags web site. I found out there was a recall on this washing machine due to the mold on the door gasket. Why didnt they send me a recall notice so this could be corrected with a refund or something?

My Maytag Neptune washer was purchased last October 2010. In the past few months, the washer has been making a loud noise when spinning/washing. I had a Maytag repairman look at the washer, and all the barring, etc. needed to be replaced, which would have a cost of over $450.00! I am very upset with this outcome and just looked into it and found that this washer had recalls that the consumers were not properly notified about. The lack of recall communication is inexcusable, especially since I even went as far as to buy a 3-year extended warranty and still was not notified.What really set this situation was that the repairman suggested to not buy a Maytag washer and he added that it would not be a problem since Maytag has been purchased by Whirlpool and that the Neptune washer played a part of the ending of Maytag! This whole situation has really put a bad taste for any Maytag product, and all of my major appliances are Maytag as well as the dryer I just purchased a week ago, before I knew about all of the disappointment of Maytag. I am sure the response I will be getting will be as good as the notification of the recall, which will be nothing. Thanks!

The control board is not working on my 2 year old dishwasher. I now see this is a common problem with Maytag dishwashers. I have called to see if there is a recall on this problem and they said no. I have been told it can cost up to $500 to fix it so I guess it is a throwaway. I should have called when it was purchased as the digital buttons didnt seem right from new. What a waste of money and I will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool.

I bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2013. In late November 2014, I noticed water on the floor in front of the fridge. I called the Maytag customer service and reported the problem.. The customer service rep explained to me that Maytag discovered a design flaw in the part that allows the water to drain when going through the defrost cycle. I also called Home Depot. Their response was it was my problem because the fridge was out of warranty and I did not buy an extended warranty plan. After two more calls to Maytag, they scheduled a service appointment. The service repairman told me the same thing about the design flaw. I have the old part and the package the new part was in. The two parts are completely different. I requested that Maytag or Home Depot replace the fridge or give me credit for the amount I spent. Maytag is now saying there was not a design flaw and because of that, Home Depot refuses to replace the appliance. I will never buy another Maytag product or shop at Home Depot. The extended warranty is a way to place the responsibility directly on the consumer and eliminating the responsibility of the manufacturer and the store.

I paid a lot of money for this washer. It was recommended by a service guy from Sears. It is only 3 years old. I dont think it cleans well at all. Energy efficiency? Not seen on this machine at all. It takes at least an hour for a cycle. It is super loud on the spin cycle. Now it is leaking and has that stagnant odor that front loaders get. Really! Waste of money. Will never buy a Maytag again.

It took about a year for the problem, which turns out to be an extremely common problem, to start. The build up of water in the freezer due to the clogging drain. Maytag needs to step up for the consumers that purchased their defective product. I have cleared the ice and tried to clear the drain three times only to have the problem return. I refuse to pay someone $300 or more to repair this. This is crazy and unfair!

DB7749SAM1 Maytag Stainless Steel Dishwasher worked great for 14 months then lights went crazy. My last machine was 30 years old before its motor died. I should have fixed it. Maytag needs to step up and fix this. I will make sure everyone knows from here on out, social media is a wonderful thing. I have not even used it that much - still looks brand new and this is unbelievable. I have seen so many bad reviews now on how Maytag has built poorly designed appliances and then to add insult to injury they will not fix their mistakes.

Worst washing machine!!! I purchased the top loader Maytag Bravos washer HE in 2011 and they are the worst!!! It has been repaired three times already and now is making such a loud noise and I have been told it is the bearings. I did purchase the extended warranty and it expired. The reason I did not get a renewal is Maytag & Home Depot do not allow the the extended warranty company to let you know the warranty is ending. So now I have a 3 1/2 year old washer that needs bearings and will cost $500 + for repairs. Will not be spending anymore money on this absolute piece of junk. I had a Maytag that was 22 years old that I replaced and thought I was buying the same quality but never again another Maytag. This company may want to employ only repairmen because you will need only them because no one should buy a new one going forward.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

Ive had other dishwashers over the years. Ive had this Maytag now for almost 12 years and never had a problem with it. It cleans better than any others Ive owned. HIGHLY recommend the Maytag.

I bought a fridge, model number MBF1958, its a top fridge-bottom freezer. The freezer part leaked and spilled water that then froze onto the bottom of the freezer, which of course froze. I discovered this 1 month after the 1 year warranty ended. Maytag gave me a courtesy repair service guaranteed for 90 days. Of course, 2 weeks after the 90-day period ended, I have the same problem again.

I purchased this machine less than 1 month ago. Have had tech here twice - he cant find anything wrong with machine. As for large capacity it will hold a lot of clothing, but will not clean them. I have had to put less than a 1/4 of tub full of clothing (about 15 small items). Use high water level, extra rinse, then rinse and spin again to get the 2 tablespoons of HE soap off my clothing. Takes over 2.5 hours to wash about 15 items. I have called Maytag and they will not back their product. I purchased at Home Depot and they said they have to do what Maytag says. Sending another tech out in 2 more weeks. Takes more water, more electricity, and more time to wash clothes than ever before.

Currently own model MTB1504ARW, serial number 12541413GT refrigerator. The defrost thermostat broke and it is causing the device to frost over and not cool. Maytag is trying to replace the part with part number 63001051 and that part does not match the part that came with the machine. I spoke with a supervisor, Mr. ** who certainly was not a problem solver or any help, in other words, lacks customer service. I explained the installation of the wrong part may be dangerous and could cause a potential fire or hazard. He assured me this was the part available, but also said it was discontinued and I would have to find it with an outside vendor. I explained I compared the part removed and the part they are suggestion, per the part list, and its the wrong part. As a supervisor, Mr. ** failed to provide true customer service for myself and future customers who may be in the same situation, with the potential of causing a hazard for customers. The Maytag supervisor should learn to provide customer service and prevent possible hazards for customers, taking the next necessary steps or research the issue with other departments within Maytag. The parts below are evidence of the issue, the suggested part has two wires, the one from the refrigerator has three... poor customer service, at best with potential hazards to families and children. It may because their appliances dont break, according to their commercials, they just have too much time on their hands and cant provide the assistance that is needed.

Things that I have read that are true: Rips clothes/towels/sheets. No real problems with motherboard like some have stated. Bought Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer in 2009. No real problems with the dryer, HOWEVER, may with the Washer. Had the pump go out in 2/2010 to the tune of $199.20 due to a small object in the pump. The repairman said it would just take a very inexpensive part from Maytag to prevent this. In 6/2012 washer not draining, clogged pump. All right, new to HE Washers, so told to use less detergent than detergent manufacturer recommends. $79.13 to fix clogged drain. Even though being careful with items in pockets, loose buttons, etc. AGAIN had pump go in 1/13, $214.22 (same problem cheaper in 2010, repair inflation). Wed noticed it was loud on the spin cycle (like a rocket going off) and were told at that visit the bearings would need to be replaced, and quoted approximately $280 to repair those. Havent fixed, waiting for something else to go wrong and then decide what to do with it. So in 4 years paying almost the purchase price of the unit (if I fixed bearings also). Crazy. If you bought a house and had to pay 4/5 of the house to repair it in that short of a time, no one would own a house!!!

Neptune washer and dryer, an all around good buy. Low water use and large capacity for the pair. Bought the pair in May of 2001 and have only had one, very minor, service call. Buying online usually proves to be the easiest and cheapest way to go. Economical delivery costs. Noise and vibration and overall solid construction. Dancing washers can be a real cause for being a deal breaker. Auto shut off for balance is a must. Cleanliness of wash and wear caused by washing and drying. Large capacity and multiple cycle selections for both the washer and the dryer are necessary.

My husband and I purchase both Maytag Washer and Dryer 7 month ago 2017, because we have purchase Maytag washer before and were very happy with it. But this new Washer does not clean clothes at all, it is worthless. We will not purchase another Maytag Washer again.

I purchased a Maytag French door refrigerator (model MF12569) two years ago. The bottom drawer freezer does not work well. Apparently, the inner tubing of the freezer clogs and it creates huge puddles of water. My floor got damaged and I keep calling Maytag and all I get is their apologies. I purchased an extra warranty which will expire on the third year. I am really disappointed with their product. I see why there are so many complaints filed and what makes matter worse is that they dont seem to acknowledge the problem. Apologies do not cut it. They need to do something to reestablish customer satisfaction.

After one year of service from our Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher with Toughscrub the circuit board went out. I have been seeing and hearing other people complaining about this problem. We purchased this device based in large part on Maytags reputation for reliability. I am not happy with this machine. I will complain to the company and write another review based on the results. I suggest Maytag goes back to the old knobs until they can assemble and protect the circuit board, which I believe was damaged by heat and moisture.

Oven was purchased and put in May 2014. I have not be able to use. The oven temperature is off. If the oven is used at 500 degrees the temperature is really 900. I thought I had a gas leak because I got a bad headache because of the smell. The gas co told me to get a repair person to look at it. Maytag has been horrible to deal with. I have taken 3 separate days off trying to get it fixed. The last Maytag repair man had the nerve to ask me where the gas line was. He shut the wrong off and had a gas leak in my house. I had to open all windows. He was supposed to come back the next day. He did not and I received no calls. I have paid for an oven that is dangerous that I cannot use. I feel Im being treated this way because I am an older woman. I will never buy another Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag front load washer in May 2006 (MAH6700AWW). In November 2012 we had a leak and called a repair service. We were told it was the dispensing hose which had a hole worn in it and was replaced. In February 2014, we called the same service and was told that we had the same problem. Now in November 2014 we are experiencing the same problem. We have notified Whirlpool of this problem and each time were told that the machine was too old to reimburse us in any way. Guess who wont be buying any Whirlpool products if they do not back up their faulty workmanship.

Our Maytag microwave, which we bought based on Maytags supposed quality, is nothing but a piece of junk. In two years it has had or needs repairs that nearly double the original cost! Thats ridiculous. We are done with Maytag and are not going to get suckered into their Whirlpool/KitchenAid or other brands. So long.

I bought my Maytag dishwasher in February 2011. It seemed like a good model - basic functions, upper spray arm, stainless interior. Well this dishwasher has been all downhill since I got it. First it is cheaply made. The racks and plastic stoppers on the racks immediately started falling apart. The one year after we installed it the front control panel went out, rendering the dishwasher completely useless! The warranty had just run out! To my pleasant surprise, I received an extended warranty offer from Sears. Had the front panel replaced and it started working again.... but apparently it is a bad design and it is likely to happen again. After reading online I am not the only one with this problem.Now another year later we are having a the sprayer on the top and the back hose replaced..... (still waiting for sears to install). It makes grinding sounds, leaves white marks, doesnt clean.... it is a non-stop battle with this product. Upon calling Maytag, they said they could give me advice but cant pay for any parts or even give me a coupon towards a new product! I have tried everything with this dishwasher - fancy soap, cleaning solutions, jet dry... its not me, its Maytag! I will likely be in the market to buy another dishwasher next year because of all the issues, and it for sure will not be a Maytag.

Control Panel MDB8949SBB - I purchased my dishwasher in August of 2013. The control panel has stopped working and Maytag refuses to discuss the issue with us. Regardless of how many complaints they receive they are in denial about their product. They now offer a Repair +1 program which costs $260 for a repair and an additional 1 year warranty. If I do that I will get 1 year out of it before I run into the same problems. Any ideas?

Ive used Maytag Dishwashers since the 1980s, from Alabama to California. And I wouldnt change a thing. In fact my entire family (well the folks that can afford it) uses maytag dishwashers. Extremely satisfied we are.

Unless you’re doing laundry for an army don’t buy the Maytag commercial washer MVWP575GW. I should have gone with my original choice but my husband was concerned with the durability and warranty hence why we purchased this washer. It’s just the 2 of us and I frequently use the delicate cycle. Unknown to me at the time you can not adjust your water level so if you’re washing delicates plan on wasting a lot of water unless you only wash your delicates once a month. In my opinion delicates are undergarments, blouses, etc. delicate cycle in “deep water wash” only. As far as we can tell the wash cycle at its longest is 8 minutes which I guess for commercial grade is probably correct. However there is a presoak option that I don’t the believe does the work of a longer wash cycle. If you have to do a quick scrub on a piece of clothing as the washer is filling up you can not do this as everything stops once the lid is up.Last but not least the washer is loud it sounds like it’s going to break down at any minute. I’m sure many of the issues people have with products today are due to government regulations. I’ve tried contacting Maytag customer service on numerous occasions to see if I’ve been doing something wrong even though I’ve read through the operating manual several times, I’m currently on hold for 20 minutes. Doing the laundry has never been the highlight of my day but I never minded it until now. I absolutely dread it now. My suggestion would be if you like the features on your current washer, spend what you need to to get it working properly which is what I wish I had done with my 23 yr old washer. Worst purchase I’ve ever made!

I purchased a topload washer two years ago and the plastic lid has been replaced 4 times because it cracks at the hinges. It is obviously a manufacturers defect that Maytag refuses to admit. They come up with excuses blaming the consumer instead of their bad design.

I did not purchase it. This range came with my home. The electric range works great. It is thorough and I dont have to worry about the gas being on and filling the house up. Electric may not be for everyone, but it is the way to go for me. I will look for similar if not the exact same make/model if a replacement is necessary. I dont mind spending a little extra to ensure the product will last. So many products dont last nowadays and it is sad. I am not an avid cooker, actually I tend to mess up a lot of food recipes but the electric range helps me to reduce the number of problems I run across with the durability and accountability of the product. It cooks throughout the entire dish/pan and I have never had a problem with the unit working properly, just the user not working properly. Haha.

Bravos XL was costly. Mistake! I owned my first Maytag for 20 plus years. The sticker shock of buying a new Maytag 4 years ago was pushed aside knowing how long my previous model lasted. The salesperson at Lowes closed the deal with his explanation of an improved gear driven system vs the old belt and pulley version. Oh how wrong! I too have the jet plane from hell landing in my home for over 2 years now everytime the spin cycle engages. This is a two person family and it failed at 2 years?!?!?As for water conservation... if I dont include the additional rinse cycle, my clothes dont get clean. Watched the YouTube on how to repair this unit... but what guarantee do I have that it wont go back to the same problem in another year? Cant afford another big investment like this now that I am retired, so I will run this baby until it seizes up. Dont wash clothes if company is coming or if you want to enjoy evening TV programs. Not sure why this unit hasnt been recalled based on all the complaints I have read on this site?? Worst decision I ever made! I bet the Maytag Repairman is spinning in his grave!

The engineers at Maytag saved a few pennies by only using one thermistor for temperature control. It is in the box. There is nothing monitoring the temperature in the freezer. If you put your fridge in the garage where the temp is 40 degrees, the motor will never come on, and your frozen foods will melt! In my new MRT118FFFZ01 unit, the temperature in the box varies by plus or minus 3 degrees F, but the freezer varies from minus1 1 to plus 25 degrees F. 36 degrees difference! Lousy design. Have had two service calls, and they both said that this was the way it was designed and there is no fix for it.

Maytag 2000 front loading washer - This unit was purchased in Feb 2013 along with the matching dryer. From the onset it has presented with the problem of trapping small objects such as socks, underwear and other small loose objects in the rubber seal at the front of the door leaving them soaking wet and needed to be wrung out by hand. There is not any way to run a second spin only to wring out the clothes without doing an entire wash or rinse again rendering the efficiency void. I have been able to buy a mesh bag to put smaller items in for washing with the regular laundry load. However, this is not why I purchased the washer and I would strongly recommend to others not to buy this product. Very disappointed. I thought the Maytag brand was reliable. Never again will I buy any of their products.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator about two years ago because of the Maytag quality hype. The ice maker has been leaking almost from day one and I need to clear out the ice from the bottom of the freezer every few weeks. Now the thing has quit cooling all together. I contacted the Maytag website and they recommended a local authorized repair firm. I took a day off work to meet the service provider. After checking the fridge they informed me that the problem was with the sealed system and that they could not work on it, and that I would need to contact Maytag to get a real Maytag repair person to come and fix the thing (right back where I started). They were however more than happy to charge me $70.00 for a service call. I tried the Maytag 1 800 number which was a nightmare and it finally hung up on me. I then went back to the website and managed to get a service appointment in two weeks (had to wait for a Saturday appointment because I cant afford to take another day off work). I just hope that this time it will actually be someone who can fix the thing and not charge me just to refer me back to Maytag again. I am not happy with the so called Maytag quality or their BS methods for providing service. Caveat Emptor if you are contemplating a Maytag appliance.

I have not been satisfied with this Bravo washer since purchased 4 years ago. I have been holding back anger, hoping things would somehow improve. Clothes are never really cleaned, cant even fill washer with very many clothes because the washer goes off balance. It takes a lot longer to do laundry. Clothes spin so fast they are in knots when I put them in the dryer. I always have to iron clothes. Today, well today we have a leak coming from under the washer somewhere. So please tell me, what is the advantage to having a HE washer again? By the way, no warranty since its been 4 years. I will never buy another one.

Purchased a new set of Maytag Bravos appliances in 2010. Washer lasted 3 years -- had a failed bearing and repairman said not worth fixing as tub would most likely also need to be replaced. Replaced with a new Speed Queen which has been operating trouble-free. Today dryer quit heating -- repair person stated it needs a new board -- not worth it to me. I am off to now purchase a new Speed Queen dryer. What happened to Maytag quality???

In reading the reviews of a Maytag Dishwasher, I am also frustrated in the dishwasher is only 3 years old and the start button does not work. It cost $75.00 for the repair person to come in to take a look at it which they deduct from the cost, total repair cost $300.00. Did not make sense at this time to have to pay the $75.00 repair person and then purchase another $500.00 dishwasher so paid the total $300.00 hoping to get a few more years out of Maytag dishwasher. By the other reviews, may not be possible. Just very frustrating.

I bought my Maytag washer and dryer in Monroe County in Georgia, USA in 1980. Its a 1979 product and it STILL works perfectly fine after 40 years! Im 64 years old now and Im hoping Ill never have to buy a new set although I would love one because theyre so pretty these days.

Maytag calls peeling paint a cosmetic issue. With a convection oven it could be a toxicity issue. Waiting for an answer to my question as the fan blows the peeling paint onto anything that is not covered. Dont put foil on the bottom as this compromises the paint due to design. Truly sorry to have purchased Maytag as this line is not the Maytag we grew up with! Old school ovens and products had the quality or workmanship to last.

I bought model MDBM601AWB3 in October of 2009. The control panel and wiring harness burned in August of 2011 after, at the most, running twice a week. I called customer service and talked to numerous people. All said, Too bad, out of warranty. I did a quick Google and learned it is a common problem and even a fire hazard with Maytag dishwashers. My wife, who was being treated for lung cancer at the time and was very emotional, got a hold of someone in corporate and literally cried that we could not afford the $600 to fix a problem they knew it had when they sold it to us. They relented and agreed to pay for parts; we pay labor. Today, 1/10/13, the control panel is dead again. I suspect it is the same problem as all they did was replace the panel and wires. This machine has obvious dangerous design flaws that they were aware of. I find it sad that a company can screw people like this and get away with it. What recourse do we have now?

Bravo Series Washer and Dryer. I hate, hate, hate this washer and dryer. I have had it for 2 years and hate it more every day. What makes is worse is the over $2,000 spent to buy this piece of crap technology. The engineer should be fired and sham on Maytag for selling such a piece of crap. Washer does not get clothes clean and I have pictures to prove the amount of dirt and lint and soap left on clothes and bedding. Very poor design, and worse yet absolutely horrible engineering.To wash one item on delicate takes 47 minutes. No way around it and you are limited to the water temperature you want to use and the spin cycle that you want for that item. Water level is too low no matter what setting you use. I have read and reread and gone step by step according to instructions with no success of clothes coming out clean. Clothes are also twisted and knotted and wrinkled like no other machine I have used in over 50 years. The washer is very limited in what it allows you to do. Bedding cycle is a joke that does not work at all. One of the reasons I bought this was so that I would no longer have to take the time to drive to a laundromat. I washed a comforter and so much soap and lint and dirt was left on the comforter. I still had to take it to the laundromat to get it clean.Dryer is just as bad. Even with the energy saver off it still takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to dry 4 towels that are 5 years old. I cant imagine how long it would take to dry brand new fluffy towels. It was engineered to sense when ONE piece of clothing is dry. I want ALL my clothes dry, not one piece and the machine shut off. How stupid is that??? Engineers - design it so it senses when clothes are still damp and the machine keeps running!!! I can only use the time dry setting because no other setting even comes close to getting the clothes dry.To top off the hatred of this machine some damn engineer apparently thought this was a car and needed to be aerodynamic with a curved lid on both washer and dryer so you cannot put anything on top of the machine!!! Not every house is 5,000 square feet with plenty of room and storage!!! They want to force you to buy the drawers to put underneath and then the washer becomes too tall for short people to reach down into to get the clothes out. There is not one positive thing I can say about the washer and on top of it I will never purchase another item from the store I bought this set from. I have had service come out time and time again and they say it is an installation problem. Installation says it is service and yet no one will admit it is just a very poorly designed machine. Do not buy this brand or series of washer and dryers. This series deserves a minus and the company should replace every set sold!!!

The digital display on our Maytag Washer model MVWB765FW, bought 3/22/2017, failed overnight (whilst the machine was not operating) after 3 1/2 years. A reputable firm came out and diagnosed the problem, their report concluded that the Control Board had failed and needed replacing: they provided a verbal quote of $525 [ ! ] to do that. The machine cost $600 and based on the expected life for washers (per Consumer Reports) of ten years would have a maximum residual value of $420 based on straight-line depreciation. The retailer from whom we bought the washer told us that he had contacted Maytag and asked them what they were prepared to do about this failure: a week later and absolutely no response from the manufacturer. Apparently Maytag has no concern for their customers or their own reputation. We made the mistake of buying this machine based on Maytag’s reputation and a ten year warranty which appears to cover only parts unlikely to fail! NO MORE MAYTAGS FOR US.

I bought my washer just over 3 years ago and it started making loud clicking noises and it seems like the agitator function is not working at all. I have a repairman coming over in a few days. I knew I should have gotten the extended warranty!

This machine is not backed up by Maytag unless you purchase an extended warranty. I tried to contact Maytag regarding this machine breaking in less than two years. This machine has all the bells and whistles but dont expect to use them all because as soon as I used hot water or steam, it affects the lid lock assembly. This should be a recall from Maytag. They know it happens but arent doing anything to improve or remedy the situation. I was only able to use this machine with cold water after this happened. I spent more money getting this washing machine fixed than it deserved. Im so disappointed with Maytags customer service and their product.

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

I purchased this machine 6 months ago - have called 2 repair people. Thank God I purchased at Sears with extended warranty, was just replaced. I would tell you if you are looking for a machine run away from this one. It tears clothes, have to wash everything on bulk wash or I would not get enough water to say how bad this washer is. If someone called me and said I won this washer, I would say no thank you. And if I had to say Maytag repair called them, said she not getting enough water. Now this is what they told him: thats how we designed it. Forget about big drum, you cant put blankets or any larger items, goes off balance. And I have to say, if I had the money, I would put to the road and go back to wringer type. So again, do not make my mistake. Do not buy this washer and let me say the second day I made a complaint, was told it take time to get adjusted...NOT. I give this washer a 0.

MTB2656DEB - Well my fridge is now about 12 years old and from the beginning it was horrible ice as always forming under freezer door. The cold cut draw broke 3 times with its cheap junkie plastic. I hated it from the beginning. I have owned a GE double door with ice maker for 26 years. Wish I had kept it.

We first purchased a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set. We loved them. Had them for 15 years with no problems. When we decided to get a new washer and dryer, we were loyal to the Maytag brand. I was immediately drawn to the Maytag Bravos XL due to the extra large capacity. What a mistake! This washer and dryer pair take more than two hours to complete a single load of laundry. It often takes more than one wash to get clothes clean. If you wash an extra drum large load of laundry, often times there is not enough water and agitation to even get all of the clothes wet. I have a one-year-old boy and a six-year-old boy, their clothes get very dirty. This washer Does not get food off of my one-year-old’s bibs. And my six-year-old’s clothes come out looking as if they haven’t even been washed. What a disappointment! My husband and I are going out today to purchase a new washer and dryer set after having just purchased these Maytags in April last year. What a waste of money! Please include me if a class-action suit it’s taken.

I am about to replace the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher (MDB7749SAM1) for the second time since purchasing it in 2012. Additionally, I have replaced the door gasket twice, as it becomes loose and does not properly seal, causing water to leak from the door during the wash cycle. There are many documented complaints of corrosion on the control panel ribbon cable necessitating replacement of the entire unit. If there were a way to replace the ribbon cable instead of the entire panel, it might be a bit easier to swallow the repair expense. Either way, it is ridiculous to have to spend almost 1/3 the original cost of the dishwasher to make it usable again, and twice in only 5 years time! My previous dishwasher was 30 years old and still functioning (though noisily) when I replaced it with this expensive lemon. I have not contacted Maytag, as it is not in warranty, however, it seems that a major appliance should last longer than a couple of years without issues.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model number MDB7749SBM in May of 2013. In August the dishwasher control panel stuck on Rinse only cycle. It has been stuck on this cycle for a month. I contacted Maytag and they walked me through a reset. It has not worked. It looks to me as if the control panel has failed. This seems to be a common problem with the Maytag dishwashers. As soon as the warranty expires, so does the dishwasher. I purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot for over $600 thinking I was buying a quality product. My previous dishwasher was also a Maytag, even a lower end one that lasted almost 14 years! This one has not even lasted 14 months!!I was told by Maytag that I could purchase an extended warranty for $267.45 that would last a year. I believe, 4402 based on other reviews that I will be dumping more money into this one even after that. Very disappointed!! I will never buy another Maytag product again! I should have bought the Bosch. It was roughly the same price and high quality. I bought Maytag based on my previous experience. No More!!

We bought a Maytag dishwasher on 9/22/2012. Model number MDB7759SAB. Within the past couple of months, it has been very temperamental. The control panel started beeping continuously and some of the functions wouldnt work anymore while others continued to work too well; in that the dishwasher on occasion would rewash several times without anyone starting the machine again. The dishwasher also started leaking water... As of yesterday, the dishwasher control panel stopped responding and then out of the blue, the dishwasher turned itself on in the middle of the night! We called customer service and they said they could send a repairman out for around $89 and then we would have to pay for the parts needed and the cost of labor. After reading many reviews sounding exactly the same as mine, my husband and I are against repairing this lousy machine. Its absolutely ridiculous for a dishwasher to quit unexpectedly like this. Our question now is, which brand to purchase for our next dishwasher? No more junk please!!

Maytag, you left me disillusioned and disappointed. I used to believe you, trust you. How am I going to feed my kids without a fridge? I bought our side-by-side French door refrigerator a few years ago and even bought the extended warranty (which no longer is in effect, unfortunately). Yesterday, the refrigerator failed, We called a small local repair person who could be at my home in a couple of hours. He listened and said my compressor was out, a leak was probably in there too, and that it would cost about 900 dollars or more to repair. When I called Maytag to see what they thought, they said that because I called a non-Maytag assigned repair person (even though this small-business repair guy didnt even take apart the refrigerator), I could no longer get their repair plus one year warranty offer which runs 400 dollars. But there is nothing I see on their warranty page that says this. Here I was trying to help our local economy by calling a small mom-and-pop repair person who is known in our town and has a good reputation, but I guess that by doing that minor well-intentioned act, it goes against Maytag corporate policy. Wow, how foolish do I feel now? I feel ashamed to admit this, but I actually started crying when I was on the phone with their customer help rep and asked, Isnt there something that can be done? I was thinking to myself that two months after Christmas with three kids is a tough time to replace a 1300-dollar refrigerator. I offered to pay the 400 dollars to get the refrigerator fixed by a sanctioned Maytag official with their warranty, but that I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to call anyone else besides Maytag if my appliances broke down. I would have never called our small local guy if I had known that Maytag corporate had such a policy. She said that no, there was nothing that she could do, and that is what happens to customers who call a non-Maytag assigned repair person. I guess when this happens to your fridge, you ask your neighbors if they can keep some milk, lunch meat and cheese for you, at least until you can save up for another fridge. Thank goodness that dried pasta and Ragu sauce dont have to be refrigerated. There are also cans of peas and corn and dry cereal, so it should be okay.I cant express how absolutely disappointed I am with myself and with my purchase, and how this has soured me on everything Maytag. I feel like an idiot. Can you believe that I had actually scrimped and saved up for months to buy this Maytag refrigerator and the extended warranty (hah, just to be safe)? I had bought it because I thought Maytag was a reputable company and because it was supposed to help the environment with its energy saving technology. But dont you think that a $1300 refrigerator should last more than 7 years (Believe it or not, this newer Maytag fridge was replacing a 20-year-old fridge that I gave to my cousins and which is still running to this day!)? And to add insult to injury, I already had a major repair done 4 years ago on this same French door Maytag fridge when it was only 3 years old. Maytag should offer to come out and fix their mess, but all I received when I called Robin, the supervisor, at their Tennessee call center was a, Sorry, there is nothing that I can do and there is no one else that you can speak to, and Nope, there is no one at corporate that you can call for help either and I have no advice to offer you. I can give you a mailing address though, if you like. I think I did hear pity in her voice, so that was some comfort. Pity from a call center supervisor, think about that! How awful it must be for her if that is all that she can offer to the desperate people who look to her for guidance! I actually felt sorry for her after I hung up the phone. It must be terrible to know that the company that you work for is probably mistreating its customers and all that you can offer is an Im sorry. I wonder how often someone says a rosary for her and her workers taking on those endless calls for help. How often does she cry herself to sleep after a day of that?I really dont like complaining online and I rarely do it, but this experience was just so awful and hopeless that I feel I had to say something to save other people pain and money. I hope that everyone learns from my miserable Maytag mistakes and please pass on my experiences to all of your friends and family. Those big tax refund checks will be coming soon, and I know that a lot of people upgrade their appliances with that money. Please, please think twice before you buy anything Maytag. I would feel better if I knew that people could learn from my stupidity. Remarkably, I was once gullible enough to trust and believe in American-made Maytag - goodness, was I wrong to do that. I have always stored clean dishtowels and oven mitts in the storage drawer of my ovens (for over 50 years). I bought a new Maytag (2 days old) and was cooking in the oven tonight. I opened the drawer to get a mitt and it was on fire!! I am shocked. How dangerous is that! I looked over the manual and there is nothing that says towels cannot be stored in the drawer. It was literally on fire. I emptied the contents of the drawer into the sink. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have called this company several times. Most of the time, they tell you that you need to call another department...which means you spend even more time on hold. This washing machine is only 3 years old. I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool product again!

Overall- I think washers aren’t made to last like they once were. Growing up- we had the same washing machine while living at home. It seems now- they only last 10 years if you are lucky. They should make more longer lasting machines.

I have purchased my top loader Bravos washing machine 3 1/2 years ago and I have had nothing but troubles with my machine. I have had to replace the motherboard twice and I constantly have that foul smell in all our clothes. I have to wash each load twice and still the smell doesnt come out. I have also complained numerous times about the water level not being correct, but they keep saying that is how the high efficiency machine is. I can watch my load washing because we have the clear lid which I like. But at the same time, it gets me really angry seeing how this doesnt clean clothes like it should. I dont believe that the water levels are right at all. I have clothes that dont even get turned over as they are washing and I have even smaller loads than before. I can only clean 4 adult pairs of jeans at one time and I still think that is too much. I clean my machine every time the red light turns on with the Affresh tablets and sometimes I run a clean cycle with just bleach. Maytag has done nothing to try and correct these problems. Its so sad that I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to go wash them and there I have absolutely no problems. They have the HE front loaders and they have enough water to wash my clothes and I can actually see them being washed. I will never buy a Maytag washer or dryer again. How sad you have all these complaints and no one to help you fix or correct them the right way.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher from Nebraska Furniture Mart in February 2013. The touch panel on our Maytag dishwasher quit working in December 2014, several lights would come on or flash or not work at all. The first repairman that we had come out took the panel apart, cleaned it up and put it back together ($100). It started working again but a few days later it started doing the same thing again. So I called the repairman back and he said the touch panel would need to be replaced. He called all over Omaha and no one had the part in stock. He called the Chicago Maytag warehouse and was told by them that they were out of them because there were so many defective dishwashers that they used them all. Now they are trying to find a new manufacturer to make them. It could be months before they get them in. So I contacted Maytag and of course they said that is not true and put me through to a parts company that they said has all the parts available. When I told that company that it was the touch panel, I was told by them that you only replace the touch panel for cosmetic reasons! So we got a second opinion from another Maytag repair company and he spent about 10 minutes looking at the dishwasher and said its a defective touch panel. He said he has replaced a lot of them in Maytag dishwashers. He recommended that I contact Maytag customer service and try to get them to pay for the part. I did call them and of course they refused because it is out of warranty. The supervisor even told me that they have not had any complaints about the touchpad malfunctioning! They do not stand behind their products anymore. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I told them exactly how I felt and their only reply was Im sorry you feel that way. I am surprised they continue to stay in business. I dont understand how major stores can continue to sell their products when they are garbage. Based on the other reviews Ive read, Im not even sure we should fix this for $250.

We have had this washer/dryer stack up for about 2 years now. Not long after it was purchased from Best Buy, it started smelling like mold, even though we were doing everything possible to keep it ventilated. Best Buy employee said that service was not covered by the warranty that we purchased, so they suggested we YOUTUBE some ideas on how to get rid of the smell. They said it was a common complaint for front load washers. We have tried Affresh, hot water and bleach, hot water with vinegar and lavender, etc. Nothing is working. There is mold on the plastic inside the washer door and the stench is horrible now. You can smell it when you walk into our home. I believe that stench is the reason we are all having respiratory problems, allergies, etc. I just dont know what to do anymore. Really frustrating!! These appliances cost a lot of money.

Hello, I bought the above top load Maytag washer last summer and shortly after purchase the spin cycle was accompanied by a load grinding noise. This became progressively worse per use and I contacted Maytag Canada. The experience calling is a challenge with often busy, and at times long waits. When I did get through on the line they were very good customer-service-wise and arranged for a local accredited company to attend my home and assess the problem. Service visit number one resulted in the lack of parts to fix, so I waited two weeks for the next visit with appropriate parts. Washer began to grind again, I called Maytag, another appointment was set, service call #2 again resulted in the SAME parts being replaced as service #1, and upon departure the washer immediately resumed grinding. Call #3 to Maytag and a 4th visit was scheduled to my home. This time with a different service provider, parts changed washer not fixed. Maytag called and this time I asked for replacement. Three weeks later I received a new washer. The version was updated so the drain hose no longer reached my drain pipe. Once sorted out, my first wash today with the new unit and GGGRRRIIINNDDDING.. I would not recommend this product. Will be calling Maytag again Monday.

We purchased the washer and dryer set from Lowes about 5 years ago, and purchased the extended warranty fortunately for us. We had good luck with the washer for about 6 months, then we had to call problem service out because the washer filled with water but wouldnt do anything else. It took several days for the service people to come out and when they did, they had to order parts to do the repair, so we did not have a washer for a few days or a week. They got the washer fixed and everything was good for a few months, then our dryer quit working. We were told that the tub of the dryer had come off, so they had to order another one. So we were again without a dryer. Once they got the parts in the repair company that was sent out to fix our dryer, did not fix the dryer correctly so we had to call Lowes repair service to send someone out again. We have owned this set for over 4 years and once again our dyer has gone out. During all of this time, I and my Brother had to leave our job in order to be home and meet the maintenance people to fix both washer and dryer. I would not recommend this set to anyone, this is one of the worst sets that I have owned. I thought Maytag was a brand that you never had problems with, but we have had nothing but problems with this set.

Purchased my 1st brand new washing machine almost 3 years ago, a Maytag Centennial Washer for a little more than $600.00. Now it needs over $400.00 worth of repairs to get it working. Theres a reason the Maytag repair guy has nothing to do. Its because their products cant be repaired and are disposable. 25 years ago we bought our first washing machine that was used. It lasted for 22 years before it died. Maytag cant make a product that can last for 3. Also got stuck with a $65.00 service fee for them to tell me its broke and not worth fixing. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of their products.

Zero should be a choice on overall experience. I purchased a Maytag Bravo 300 from Lowes in February of 2011. Last week I was doing a load of laundry and the washer stopped in mid-cycle, and it gave an alarm and error code ld. I checked out the manual and it said there was a problem with the drain line. I check the drain line and it was fine, so I called Maytag to have a service man take a look at it. Before he even looked at the washer, he said it was probably the pump, and it is not covered under warranty. And he said that it would cost $140. He obviously sees this all the time. He explained that the pump is too small for the unit and it does not allow anything to go through the pump. Please make sure anyone who may be considering buying one of these units knows right up front that they are going to have issues with the pump, even if a small pebble gets caught in the pump.

I purchased Maytag washer/dryer set in Feb 2021. In June the washer broke. It took 2 weeks to get repair person to look at it. During the appt no faulty product was identified so they dont know what to replace. No parts were available. A follow-up appt was set for 1 month later. No parts are available to make the repair so a follow-up appt would be futile. . The only communications other than No Parts is that they want me to purchased an extended warranty. I will never purchase another Maytag product or recommend them to anyone. Meanwhile my warranty continues to time-out and they dont have any parts or idea when they will be available. Im not sure how a company can sell products that they do not have some level of support for those products. Beware of purchasing Maytag Products.

I give the Bravo T/L Washing machine and the Maytag company zero stars. I had to call for service 3 times within the last 22 months, twice for the electronic panel which needed to be changed, and the third time, it needing a new tub/drive shaft assembly at a cost of $405.27. I did receive a call from the Maytag customer service and all they would do is make a note of my complaint. I feel if you pay almost $1,000.00 for a machine it should work for more than 22 months. I believe Maytag manufactures an inferior product.Not only did it not last, my family and I found that the clothes didnt come out as clean as it should have, and sometimes, the towels would have a mildew smell to them after washing and drying. I assure you that I have read the enclosed instructions of how to use the machine, load the machine, and only used products designed for the machine

I have Maytag Neptune washer and dryer that was purchased in 2002. Theyre still going strong. Its a great size for empty nesters like us, but if you have a big family, you might want to consider a larger capacity.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they dont have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. Im told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and Im told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didnt you do this first) and told because we didnt call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then Im told its our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and thats total BS. I explained how you cant offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it. Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they dont even have them. Then told Im getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesnt think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.

First I do like the fact that it spins at such a high speed that the water is mostly gone, and that is the good news. I do like that it uses less water but when washing any dark colored clothes there are dirt or scum like marks where the clothes may have been folded or twisted in knots which I also do not like. I have cleaned machine but this started when new. Drying doesnt get rid of those scum marks either. I never had this problem with my old full fill machine. I have used more detergent and less HE of course in both liquid and powder. Any suggestions?

Purchase a top loader washer machine in Nov 2014, it is now Jan 2015. It is not completing drain cycle, leaving wet cloth. I am Not happy with the service. I had the tech people come out 3 time and saying to call customer service, and they keep sending out people. They do not want to give me back my money. Unhappy, waste of money, will not get another Maytag appliance again.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top load washing machine from Sears in 2011. In January 2015, the machine stops at the spin cycle and wont continue the full process. The lid light comes on and blinks red. The machine made a loud grinding noise. A technician from Sears has been to my home 4 times in a month but unable to fix the problem. I have to take my clothes to the outside laundry. I have a protection warranty but it ends in a week. Im frustrated. Maytag Bravos sucks.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. The dishwasher stopped working. The lights on left side of control panel arent working; so, machine wont start. Then machine was purchased in January 2010 for $525 and not including installation. Kim says it will cost $129 for their repairman to come look at it. I wished I had read the list of complaints on your site first.

I made the mistake of buying a Maytag 2 years ago, this machine would not wash clothes even when using the deep water wash. I should have looked at it closer, it is so full of modern computer garbage that I was having to wash clothes twice so the water saving was negative. I own a business across from a major shopping center so what we did was we loaded it up in one of our trucks and parked it in front of our business with a giant sign and invited people to take a look before buying one. In 6 months we must have had at least a 1000 people inquire.

We have a Maytag dishwasher that came with the house we purchased in 2012. Im not sure of the exact age but the former owner said it was a relatively new installation. The appliance works very well; cleans well. Just a couple of things of concern. First, it is really noisy. The fact that we can very clearly hear it running in the adjacent room does not speak well for it in this regard. The other things that has occurred is that rusting is evident on the trays of the dishwasher. One of the upright pieces has already broken off due to rust and two others are close to coming apart very soon. Nothing sharp is placed in those areas that are coming apart so there would be nothing remarkable to disturb the plastic coating on the wire racks. I can only conclude that the plastic coating was defective at the start; hence the rusting at the base of the upright pointing racks. That said, it does clean well but I dont foresee this unit lasting much longer overall due to the rack damage that is continuing to occur. I would expect the racks to at least last as long as the dishwasher but this does not seem very likely at the rate the racks are deteriorating.

I bought a new Maytag washer two and half years ago. One of the new HE (High efficiency) models. Clothes do not get washed clean. But not only that, now its not washing at all. My previous machine was a Maytag...Had it for 22+ yrs. I guess Maytag quality is no longer what it used to be. Disappointed customer!

I loved my first Maytag combo unit and when that quit I bought another Maytag. The Neptune is a front load washer. I immediately noticed the door gasket getting moldy. I contacted Maytag whose response was leave the door open. Well, I did that and not only did I still get mold, but the light burned out. I recently started having trouble - the water doesnt drain and the clothes are still wet. Rather than have it repaired, I elected to buy a new washer/dryer unit. I would NEVER again have a front load washer and certainly not Maytag.

I have a Maytag microwave and stove in my condo kitchen. Both are about 4 years old. Ill never buy another Maytag appliance again. This stove had problems from day 1 and the support was dismal. I had [bought] an extended warranty, which covered nothing (I let it expire and didnt renew). The microwave handle came off in my hand a few months ago. I stuck it back on with gorilla glue. Now it is starting to shut itself off, as if it lost power then mysteriously turn itself back on. Im sure there will be a new microwave in my future and it wont be a Maytag.

In 2011 we purchased a complete appliance grouping at Home Depot by Maytag to include the dishwasher. For some reason we neglected to purchase an extended warranty on the dishwasher. Lo and behold in 2013 our control panel went bad and the cost to repair it was almost as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Thinking this was a fluke we were dumb enough to purchase another Maytag from Home Depot due to the loyalty made in the USA. Well here we are 2015 not even a full two years later the control panel started acting funny a few days ago and yesterday just plain old QUIT. Fortunately we were wise enough to purchase an extended warranty plan on this dishwasher so tomorrow we will be calling the repairman. Unfortunately Maytag has never solved the problem that has been occurring for at least 5 years and continues to sell this product to unsuspecting schmucks like us who try to be true to the made in the USA slogan. Bought washer in 2010 from Sears. Told me the washer had a sensor to measure how much water it needs. Was told by service guy that was a blatant misrepresentation by the sales person. It only fills up with 8 of water. When I wash my white towels with normal dirt (dog paws), with HE detergent and bleach on various cycles, my towels come out tie-dyed with dirt. Totally dislike this machine.

Like many others Ive read about online, our Maytag fridge model MFI2269VEW5 with bottom mount freezer has ice forming at the bottom of the freezer compartment. The ice then melts and runs onto the kitchen floor. At this point, I am able to prevent this leakage problem by removing the 1/2-inch layer of ice that builds up about once a week. Using a stiff plastic spatula, I am sometimes able to remove the ice in one large sheet but usually it breaks up and has to be removed in pieces. I have seen several videos online showing how this problem can be fixed but as a pensioner with limited income, I am sure the expense of a repairman would be prohibitive. I could likely make the suggested repairs myself but because of a knee replacement, I am not able to kneel for any length of time so that is out of the question. Besides, when we purchased this fridge 3 years ago, we expected it to run trouble free for the rest of our days. This is obviously a design problem and Maytag should be covering the cost for all repairs. However, it is a sad reality that Maytag and their owner, the Whirlpool Corporation is only interested in making a profit to satisfy their stock holders. They apparently only pay lip service to making quality products that last and customer satisfaction seems to be a thing of the past.

I bought a new top loader Maytag washer and dryer on 1/1/16. My first experience with the washer was as many in has stated - It Doesnt Clean, the clothes, also I have trouble with the fact that is there is a string loose, it become worst. Why did they improve a product that did not need improving. They just made it worst. It is totally **. Im stuck with it as I cannot afford another washer. The dryer work fine.

I bought a washer and dryer a few months ago from Home Depot Maytag. My clothes do not come out wrinkle-free. They are very wrinkled, to the point where I have to iron the perma press. The dryer I just got rid of was 30 years old, and always got the wrinkles out of the clothes. So I am very disappointed in the way yours works. I dont know what you can do, but this is not good. Paint bubbling & peeling off appliance: I purchased new double convection oven from Lows (Maytag). One month after delivery, paint began to bubble and peel off. Maytag takes the position that as long as the oven functions properly, the paint is simply cosmetic and the warranty does not cover cosmetic problems. Maytags position is that even if all the paint peels off but the appliance still functions properly, too bad for you!

My Maytag microwave MMV4205BAB gave out this a.m...again. I bought it in 2008. The repairman has become a close personal friend because he visits so often. In Jan. 2012, I bought an extended warranty, which expired in Jan 2013. This is the best example of planned obsolescence Ive ever seen. We wish we had kept our GE with the broken handle, which we had for 20 years with no other problems than that. If you are wise, do not buy Maytag.

Maytag fridge is a overpriced, ticking repair bomb. The fridge had issues with the compressor, control board (motherboard) and relay switch within a 12-month period. Customer service is weak in troubleshooting techniques and try to send the file over to a repairman. The repairman will show up at $80/hr + other fees and parts costing you approx $500, and still uncertainty that this fridge can breakdown at any time. Final advice: DONT BUY.

Do NOT purchase a Maytag dishwasher. What happened to the Maytag repairman being so lonely. Now he has lots of company in the way of angry consumers. Purchased a Maytag dishwasher and less than a year later the control panel failed. It was still under warranty but the service person just tweaked it instead of replacing it. Now, less than a year later it has failed and will cost over $200 to replace and repair. This is disgusting.

Purchased this double oven back in 2012 and have had to have the control valves replaced twice because of them jamming and snapping. The burners are undersized for cooking and it takes forever to get water to a rolling boil. The broiler in the upper oven needs constant attention when using it because food cooks unevenly and burns quickly. The lower oven is great, convection is awesome. I have seen the Maytag repairman more from my stove than I have for any of the other appliances I owe combined. Maytag should stick to appliances that only use water.

This is the most horrible washer ever. Within 3 months it would not go beyond sensing mode and never fill or wash. Tech came and fixed it... 3 times. It still happens and I have to jiggle it all around to activate it. Clothes are never clean, dog hair is never washed out... My broken old agitator machine was taken to the dump & I wish I had it back! How do the stores give this machine a good rating?? I cant do light quick washes, I have to wait forever... Our water bill is 2x higher than ever because if I dont fill the tub with deep water, the clothes dont even all get wet. Hate, hate, hate this thing.

Leaking water and puddles in front (each side) of refrigerator. Purchased from Home Depot on 12-20-2011... After doing a search on the internet I found that this is a common problem with the Maytag refrigerator. This model is a two door with ice maker on left door and freezer on bottom of unit. First failed after 16 months. Second twice in 15 months. They are lucky to last 16-24 months. Stupid for a microwave that normally last 5 plus years for every other brand I ever bought.

We owned the washer for 2 years and 2 days when we got a code F70. After searching online, I found hundreds, if not thousands, of reviews and self-help forums that show this product is in dire need of a recall. The problem I had is the motor control unit (MCU), which is a $225 to $275 part online. However, Maytag will only replace the board under extended warranty with a refurbished board that they say costs $330, whereas they say the new one is over $600. Why is it that Maytag charges double what everyone else charges? If so many people are having these problems, it is obviously a defect and should not be the consumer’s responsibility. It is obvious that this is too common of a problem.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator model # MSF25D2EAS on 10-22-2012 at the Home Depot in Tracy, CA. On 2-2-2014 (15 months) we noticed a puddle on the kitchen floor. Upon inspection, we noticed that the refrigerator was not working. Went over to Home Depot and were given the name and number of the authorized Maytag repair dealer (A and E). The technician arrived on 2-5-2014 and replaced the compressor on-off /overload relay and charged $243.82. On 2-16-2014 (11 days later), the same thing happened again. The technician came on 2-19-2014. This time, it was the compressor at a cost of $800.00 plus the $75.00 service call. One can purchase the compressor online for $300.00 and I am sure that A and E buys it for a lot less. We thought about it and decided not to get it fixed because we did not know what else would go wrong and how long would the second compressor last. We talked to the Appliance Departments assistant manager and were told that Home Depot does not give any kind of consideration and she had worked there for 11 years and had not heard of any problems. She was not telling the truth or she was not aware of the numerous negative customer reviews online. She also informed me that I should have bought a warranty. We have bought quite a few refrigerators in 50 years and they lasted for many years. Home Depot sells inferior products. Maytag must sell these inferior products at discounted prices and of course, some stores are looking for larger profits. I do not trust Home Depot any longer and will not purchase appliances there anymore. It was a very expensive lesson - the price of the refrigerator, loss of food (twice) and the stress it caused. We bought a new refrigerator at Sears and it was not a MAYTAG.

Our Maytag dryer is only, maybe, 3 years old. I do not dry towels, jeans or heavy sweatshirts in it (I line dry and then soften up in dryer). I clean the lint filter each time. Our heating element has gone for the second time. The first time it cost $200-250 to repair. It is so sad that our appliances are not made to last as they did. Or is it just Maytag? You can be sure we will not buy another Maytag item. I am looking into recalls at this time.
