I bought a Maytag Gas Range in January 2010. In January 2012, the wiring caught fire, and now, the oven is unusable. Maytag was not very helpful in our loss of money and product.

The fridge has a grinding noise that is getting worse, by the day. I cannot seem to define the exact location of problem, whether the freezer or the fridge. Maytag you stink, and your web site stinks, too.

I bought a every expensive Maytag Neptune (washer and dryer one unit) and it is now sitting in the carport. The washer broke and I had to have service people come to my house continuously. Over a period of 6 months I had to pay for 3 motor control boards plus service calls. Thats when I had I moved to the carport. In 2012 I bought a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer so I would be able to stack them. I had to put them at Sears because I had to use layaway. I paid for them over 12 weeks and had to use a laundromat during that time. Last week I got a F01 E02 error code which means replace motor control board. These boards cost over $300 each not counting the cost to install it.I did talk to Sears since the washer was only bought 4 years ago. They were nice to me but could do anything for me. Truly sad when a washer only lasts 4 years for the amount of money I had to pay to purchase it. I dont know what I going to do now since I am now retired but I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL OR MAYTAG AGAIN.

Love my washer. Very durable. No issues with it in the last 4 years and I probably use it at least 5 days a week. Has lots of options to wash different types of items and mine is big enough to wash a full size comforter.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher on June 2008. This new Maytag dishwasher replaced an older Maytag dishwasher that caught fire and was recalled (I found this out after calling Maytag). The new dishwasher (Model: MDB 5601 AWB) also had a recalled part (heater coil) in February 2011. Two months ago, (the unit is now 3 years old), the control board started malfunctioning (certain cycles no longer work). I called Maytag today (Aug 24, 2011) but I was told by a Maytag representative that there was nothing that they could do. After reading so many complaints, I am ready to file a class action suit. It seems that this company continues to perpetrate fraud against an unsuspecting consumer for they knowingly continue to manufacture defective products.

Dishwasher MDB7749SBM - Have the same problem as everyone else, panel board (2nd one, 1st was under warranty). This panel W10475787 is 2 years old. Keeps lighting up doing what it wants to do. Dishwasher is 3 years old. Cant find out if there is a recall on this part (there should be).

I bought this washer 2 years ago, it has always been noisy and not cleaned or rinsed my clothes very well. With dark clothes, I have to rinse them twice if not three times. Now it has quit throwing out the water all together and is not rinsing the clothes at all. Paid $72 for a repair man to hook it up to his computer and tell me there was nothing wrong with it. Told me it was how I was loading it. I dont think so. Now I have to replace a two-year old machine. I will buy a basic machine that only washes my clothes this time. Nothing is made to last these days.

Barbara ** purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer. The washer did not perform anywhere near the advertised and EXPECTED performance. A letter was written to the Maytag Customer Center on July 12, 2014 complaining about the washers inability to clean or rinse clothes effectively. As of this date we have had NO direct contact from Maytag. After reading many reviews and noting that I have seen over 700 people which had issues with this machine, I wish that I had never purchased from Maytag. I have had to purchase a new machine to replace this useless Maytag. When I ask a used appliance dealer if he would be interested in purchasing my Maytag Bravos, his reply was, I dont want any Maytag Bravos in my store.I have made an effort to obtain some type of satisfaction from Maytag, but to no avail. I would like 100% refund for this purchase. If Maytag does not meet the expectations of its customers, then I feel that a class action law suit should be started through consumer affairs. When you cant even get a used appliance dealer to purchase a used Maytag Bravos, then there is a real problem with the product. The purchase price was $616.55. A total waste!!

I paid over $600.00 for a new maytag washing machine two years ago. It quit working a few days ago and the man said itll cost over $400.00 to fix it. Why do you people build this type of junk? I would like to hear from someone on this and why I had to pay $300.00 a year for a washer that is totally worthless now??????? ** please contact me. I bought Washer and Dryer Pair new less than 2 years ago. Within 6 months of purchase, the bearing went - warranty. Then 1 week before one year old, bearing went again. I contacted Maytag. They told me it was my problem and I should have bought extended warranty. Lemon law should apply and I asked about appeal process and was told that there is no such thing. Now, the washer is needing a new pump and it is not even 2 years old!

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher on Nov. 5, 2013 from Freds Appliance. I had to have the control panel fixed twice and it failed again in June 1916. My stemware had a film on it and I either had to wash it by hand or rinse it in hot water and dry by hand. Thus I felt like how could my other dishes not have this film on them even though I faithfully used Finish. I have 2 daughters who live within a half mile of me and they did not have this trouble with their dishwashers. I always felt Maytag was a top brand, but I replaced my 3 year old Maytag with a Whirlpool that my daughter and her family of 4 used for 19 years. Guess what... my glasses come out sparkling without using Finish and they wash in half the time and are dry!

I purchased this Atlantis dryer several years ago. To this day, I have replaced the rollers and drum three times. What a piece of junk! This will be the last Maytag I ever own.

A lot of repairs in 6 years from belts. It leaks water around seal on door. Only part of the cycles work. I would not recommend the Maytag washer to anyone. When I got it I expected or hoped it would last 10 years or more.

WORST MACHINE EVER! Besides the soap scum Maytag Bravos XL Washer leaves on all of our jeans and my husbands work pants, the machine decides when it wants to work and when it does not want to work. Weve had repairmen over, we have called the 800 numbers, just like all of the other reviews on here. Ive readjusted clothes in that thing more than Ive done laundry in my life!!! I HATE this machine. Ive memorized the manual from reading it so many times, have the correct detergents, tried washing large loads, small loads, lined up the clothes around the outside so the middle thingie is not covered, thrown clothes loosely in there. Every way possible. The machine senses, starts filling, then just stops. Today, no matter what I do with the load in there, it will NOT run, it keeps shutting itself down and I do not even know what else to do. NEVER EVER EVER buy this machine! We will never own another Maytag EVER.

IT A GOOD DISHWASHER, BUT I HAVE HAD 2 PROBLEMS WITH THE CONTROLS AND HAD THE CONTROL PANEL REPLACED. TWICE. The insurance I bought with the machine, sent me a jerk to fix it, I complained and they sent a good repairman.

THIS PRODUCT IS CRAP!!!! I spend $699.00 at Home Depot, after 1/12 years the console stopped working. Maytags engineering staff should be fired!!! You stole my hard earned money. I purchased this washer approx. 2 years ago. It will not spin. Called 3 repair men, only one would look at it. The cost to repair is more buying a new one. I am buying another washer and it will not be a Maytag. Seems from other post live on this washer is 2 years. My son has one just like it, told him of the problems. He is thinking of selling and getting another one before his quits. There are 5 in his family.

My Maytag is 2 weeks old, and knew from the start I had a lemon. The compressor sounds like a giant freezer. I had the service man take a look at it, and while he was here the compressor did not come on. He pulled the plug from the fridge and turned it back on and still it did not turn on. I asked him to stay till it turned on and he said he could not stay any longer. I waited for him from 2 PM till 7:30 PM. He was to arrive between 3 and 6. Talk about frustration, and I only wish I had read all the reports before I bought this junker. I was so worried I decided to get the insurance for 4 years. The reason the ice forms is because you have no control over the ice. You cant see them and they get stuck. I had a side by side before this, and I can kick myself for not buying a side by side again. I was told to shut it it down when youve had enough ice cubes, to stop it from getting stuck. This ice maker is so big and so hard to pull out and the switch to turn it off is on the inside. So far my only complaint was the humming, but I can see a tough road ahead.

Gemini Twin natural gas range - I bought this range approximately 18 months ago. I thought it had all the features I needed and it looked good -- looking good is just about all it does! If you are a real cook I would suggest you avoid this range. The burner controls are preset and it is impossible to turn the flame very low if a simmering heat is required. If you are making meringues, again, the oven heat cannot be turned to a cool enough temperature. Ovens bake/broil unevenly. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not because the flame is not hot enough, but because the pots sit far too high above the flame. Bad, bad design. Probably designed by someone who eats take-out!!

I have had a Maytag Bravo Model MVWX500XW0. Bought less than 3 yrs ago for over $550. Four days ago, the drum would not turn during wash or spin. It would act like it was going to turn but then the door lock lid kept flashing. Today Maytag repairman came by and put in a new lock circuit. Instead of fixing the problem, it made it worse. The washer started making rapid clicking sounds and finally the lid lock stopped working altogether. The repairman could not get his computer to even do a diagnostic. Instead he calls his boss who says it must be the motherboard, a $300 part. My research indicates that Maytag almost always says replace motherboard and customers find that doesnt work either. Ive never had a washer last less than 10 years. Three years for a high-priced washer is mind boggling. Ive also never had a repairman make things worse by installing new part but that happened. I will never buy a Maytag product again, even if its owned by Whirlpool, which used to be a name you could count on.

Spent $2,000 on Maytag washer and dryer in September of 2020 thinking we were buying quality and a company that backs their products. Forward to January 2021 and were not able to schedule service through their website. Not able to get anyone to answer their phones. Called what used to be our local Maytag service and they told me Whirlpool took over Maytag warranty service and cancelled all the contracts for local repair shops. So, not only do we have a 4 month old washer I wish we had never bought, we cant even the Maytag to service it under their warranty! Never again...

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer three years ago. They both were taken to recycling and I received eleven dollars for both of them. They were both horrible. The transmission went out on the washer. The repairman said not worth fixing since it would cost $600.00 to repair. He said Maytag appliances are being outsourced and are not what they used to be. Even before the transmission went out it took forever to wash and the clothes smelled when I took them out of the washer. The dryer quit heating a few days after the washer went out. The repairman said it wouldnt be worth repairing it either. I will never buy another Maytag!!

Love my washing machine. It is so big I need a step stool to reach down to the bottom. It cleans my wash well and I have dirty clothes. I hang my clothes on the line outdoors. My clothes have never looked and smell so good.

Its a water saver model, so to really rinse the clothes of soap from the wash cycle you have to give it an extra rinse, which the machine has made available. So I do not know how much water it really saves.

I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer, plus the pedestals for each. In last August of this year the washer just stopped in the middle of a wash cycle. I placed a call to the customer service. The tech diagnosed and placed an order for a part and set an appointment for two weeks later, with a time window 1 to 5 pm. The person called at 5:30 to tell me he had an job before he could get to me. I had taken the day off to wait for him. I called and they ended up rescheduling, for two more weeks.. Tech came ordered different parts, tech did not show up. Tech came out again ordered new parts. Next week he arrived wrong parts. Washer still not extracting. New tech, new parts, new appointment, this was what happened throughout September and October. Tech was not happy with his job, stated that to me, would not do anything but install part, even if it didnt work. He took parts with him. The washer still not extracting. Last Thursday he didnt even have all the parts, made the decision to replace machine without discussing it with me. Told me Sears would call me in 48 hours. Received call today Tuesday. Go to Sears to have it replaced. None of the machines they offered are compatible with mine. I will have to purchase the pedestal for the new machine, plus pay the overage to get the comparable machine. Service appointment people were horrible, cold and rude. Sear store at the mall where I purchased my washer said that it was not their problem. Once we sell it you are in their hands. Have had Maytag for over 30 years. Will never buy it again. Will never buy at Sears again. Too bad I have to replace my washer with something from Sears. Not enough space to write everything I have gone through, the lost workdays, the extra expense of having to go to the laundromat, the stress of dealing with incompetent people and techs.

I have a Maytag Bravo washer which I purchased from Brubaker Appliances in Lancaster, PA four years ago. I also purchased from them an extended 5-year warranty. I have this installed on 2nd floor with a drain and a drain pan The drain pump got a hole in it and leaked water all the way down to the basement, over $6,000 in damage. The drain pan and drain didnt work because the Maytag has a noise barrier on the bottom and when that was soaked with water, it sealed off the drain pipe. Also, when I contacted repair at Brubakers, they replaced the drain pump but then informed me that it wasnt covered because penny got in there and that is neglect. $332 later, I was told that the extended warranty covered everything and also no one will take responsibility for installing the washer so that the drain pipe could be blocked. I will never purchase a Maytag again or anything from Brubaker Appliances.

I bought my Maytag dishwasher on September 4, 2013. In August 2014 the control panel went out. (Sound familiar?) The dishwasher was still under warranty, so I called Maytag. It took 3 tries to find a repair person who would come out on my schedule. (Im a teacher and cant take time off.) They installed the new control panel, and it working. I tried to submit a review on Maytags website, but my review was denied. I guess they didnt want to hear the truth.

My Neptune has been a great washing machine. I did have to change the door gasket twice and just recently changed the bearings. My machine sounded like a jet engine. I ordered the parts on eBay, watched a YouTube video, and fixed my Neptune washing machine. Its still working and runs quietly.

Just purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator and am I sorry I did! Very noisy and runs continuously. Maytag says it is because it has high-efficiency compressor and fans? How is running continuously efficient? The continuous noise actually keeps me awake at night. Not sure what to do as I have spent $1700. :(

Bravos XL washer- This is probably the worst purchase I have ever made, first off, at $1000 it was a pricey purchase however, I chalked it up to it will last many years without issue. After only 3 years, the unit leaked water and was so loud you couldnt stay indoors while it was on spin cycle. The bearings and seal were completely shot and needed replacement, after the sticker shock of having a good repairman fix the problem I decided to tackle the job myself. (Thank you YouTube). All was well for the next 2 years until it all happened again. Maytag is junk and will never get another dollar from me-ever! A Speed Queen TR5 now sits where that piece of crap used to reside. BUYER BEWARE!

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

18 month old range did not shut off although it showed off on the cancel page. $800 down the toilet. Maytag had the guts to charge $100 to troubleshoot plus parts and labor. I will donate it to scrap metal. Company does not give a rats behind. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG.

I purchased a Maytag MDBH979SAB0 dishwasher from Home Depot two weeks ago for around $600. I got it installed and it would not turn on. I contacted Maytag and after a few questions, she stated that they would have to send a repairman. After a few days, the repairman arrived and said hed never seen this model before but that we needed a new control panel. After waiting a week with no work, I called Maytag to get an update. The control panel is out of stock and could be a while - they are trying to find one somewhere around the country. They refused to send a replacement dishwasher, even though this was brand new. Their policy says repair, not replace. Dont take the chance purchasing a Maytag dishwasher.

This is was my first time experience to purchase Maytag Bravos XL (MWWB835DW) 5.3-cu High Efficiency Washer. I need it fast replacement to my front loader Samsung washer as it was recalled and had mold issues. I was looking for a High Efficient and Star Energy digital, glass top reliable machine. I may say that I was fooled by advertisement and promotion from the Advertisement and promotion from Home Depot. I did not know much about Maytag Brand but I was convinced by sales person and price promotion. Big Mistake! Huge! I am extremely dissatisfied with this washer, it doesn’t use enough water to cover the clothes! No matter which cycle you use, the clothes don’t come clean.I wash and re-wash my clothes and ending up paying huge water and electric bills as I have to use deep hot water wash each time and after rewash again! Not so High Efficient! After using this machine for just over 6 month all my white expensive towels turned gray and all my whites is no longer white. This washer ruin my clothes. Another problem that this machine doesn’t have small load quick wash and if you have a small load it will go through 50 minutes cycle and I still need another wash after all! If I would wash my king size comforter I still have to do it twice and it does NOT rinse all the water out! I thought I can do big load but this machine cannot handle big loads!My laundry days became a nightmare! I would not call this machine High Efficient at all! Company does bogus advertisement just to fool and attract consumers. This is terrible washer which make me think how possibly this machine is on the market and allowed to be sold? I did not notice problem till very late and I missed my 90 days return policy. Now I have to find another replacement. What a waste of money! I do not recommend this machine to my enemy. Please read reviews before buying this horrible machine. Do not miss your 90 days policy returns. Save your water and electric bills by avoiding Bravos XL. I am hoping that Consumer Protection will step in and evaluate numbers of complaints and will help those who were fooled and ripped off by such a false advertisement.

When my house burned in 1995 I purchased all Maytag appliances when we rebuilt because I had good performance from them up to then. My washer and dryer even made it through the fire and are still going now 14 years after the fire. They are 34 years old. The other appliances I purchased were a chest freezer, dishwasher, stove, and, a refrigerator totaling around $2,000, a pretty sum in 95. I have nothing but good to say about the freezer and the dishwasher, however, the refrigerator and stove stick me in the side every time I look at them. I purchased a smaller refrigerator than I had planned because I was PROMISED that the refrigerator was designed to hold the milk in the door. The first thing that happened when I opened my brand new refrigerator was the shelf holder broke and the milk fell to the floor making an awful mess. They ordered the shelf holder assuring me it was a fluke and sent me on my unhappy way. After I got the part I installed it and crack-smash-pow-swoosh! It happened again! I called the store I purchased it from and they said they ordered extras so to come in and get them, that I had probably installed it wrong. Went like this and I finally told him like I told him at first I do no want this refrigerator! You said and the pamphlet says it is capable of holding a gallon of milk in the door. It does not. It cant even hold catsup bottles without breaking. Thats when he told me that yes, they were having an issue with this refrigerators door shelves. He then gave me the rest of the shelf ends he had and said after that they were gone, they had discontinued them. Also said I was past the days to trade my refrigerator. I told him that was because he kept stalling me, ordering parts. LEMONS AND LIES. Now the refrigerator sits in my laundry room, freezes food in either section on its own whim, and the shelves are held on with DUCT TAPE. I have multiple correspondence with the company but gave up as I was seriously hurt in a vehicle accident and had to put my energies to surgeries and healing. And dont get me started about the stove. I will not be buying Maytag anymore.

I seem to be just another unhappy Maytag microwave oven customer. The SE code indicates a bad/faulty/short in the keypad. It seems this is a very common issue so buyers beware! If I dont get this resolved, I will no longer buy Maytag/Whirlpool products.

I have a Maytag MFI2665XEW6. Im getting water on the floor by the bottom draw. It looks like the coil in the back is freezing up and then melting down to the bottom of the freezer and out to the floor. I dont know how to lower the temp on the door panel.

We bought the Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryer set in 2013 after extensive reviews as well as the brand recognition to replace my at least 20 year old Kenmore washer/dryer. At first we were very pleased. The ability to do bulky loads was great and the high spin cycle left the clothes almost dry. In 2018 (keep in mind, just 5 years!) we started to hear a grinding sound in the washer when on rinse cycle and the dryer would randomly turn itself on! Strange but true. I called Maytag Canada and they sent someone right away. They had to replace the motherboard on both the washer and dryer as well as the drum and gears on the washer. Fortunately this was covered under warranty.Fast forward 1.5 years. Same issues with washer...technician came and could not identify the problem, although I did tell him it was the same as 1.5 years ago. I ended up recording the sound and asked them to resend technician to the house. After further diagnostics, yup...same problem. Two days went by and I received a call back advising me that the cost to repair would be over 700.00, not covered by warranty! I escalated to management, to no avail although they did offer me 15% off my next Maytag purchase! Needless to say I have ordered a brand new GE from Costco, arriving tomorrow for basically the same price to repair the Maytag. I will NEVER purchase another Maytag product and will advise anyone who cares to listen to me to do the same. Huge disappointment in the Maytag product, brand name and customer service. 10 year warranty? Not likely...stay away.

I bought my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set about 4 years ago when I moved into my home. The performance of the washer has always seemed mediocre. Despite using the correct HE products, clothes dont get as clean as with other washers I owned. Many times the washer becomes unbalanced, gets the UL code and I need to move my clothes around to get it running again. A few months ago, the washer started a new behavior: stopping during the initial fill cycle and displaying an F1 error. I soon figured out if I hit cancel and then start again several times, it would resume filling and proceed with the cycle. Over time, I had to repeat it more and more. I read about other complaints and suggestions on the internet and tried pulling the plug for a few minutes to reset the control panel as well as turning off the breaker to reset the machine.After troubleshooting the problem for 15 minutes or longer, the machine eventually runs. Then I can run subsequent loads with no problem. After a week or longer of doing no laundry, when I try to start the machine, I need to go through the entire process of canceling the wash load and terminating electric power to reset the machine. I have called Maytag/Whirlpool and got unsatisfactory answers. I only wash two to three loads of wash about every ten days and sometimes even less. The 800 number for Maytag was automated and would only schedule a repair without asking about the specific problem or being able to talk with a person. There was no way to cancel the service call scheduled and I had to call another 800 number to finally speak with a Whirlpool representative who tried to help me. She connected me with A&E Factory Service to cancel the service call.Both representatives stated that most likely the control board is the problem and the cost for diagnosis would be $130 plus the cost of parts, which could run from $200 to $400 since Im no longer under warranty. I canceled the service call as the cost of repair would be easily be almost half or more of the cost of purchasing a new (and different) machine. This is the electronics module, something that shouldnt be worn down or broken by use or even user error. This is an integral part of the machine and if it has a fault (which it clearly does), the manufacturer needs to stand behind it and help the consumer. The customer service manager even admitted that models with other model numbers had had similar problems and a free control board was sent to those customers. But my model was not in that range.”I had purchased a Maytag Bravos dryer at the same time as I purchased the washing machine and the dryer had a problem within a week of the warranty expiring. A service repair person came to my home to repair the dryer as it was barely a year old and I did not use it for several months that year (due to other reasons). From the volume of complaints Ive seen online, the Maytag Bravos washing machines should have been recalled and repaired or replaced free of charge.

Please Do NOT purchase the Maytag Aqua Lift Gas Range. It does not clean anything, you will pay more money for a cleaning oven that does not clean any grease or droppings if you cook. This is not an Oven for any one, or family that cooks large meals or has gatherings. I had the technicians at my house over 4 times and they confirmed that this oven is not a self cleaning oven. It doesnt get hot enough as your self cleaning ovens. And MAYTAG did not want to hear anything, basically not clean much, but advertised as a self cleaning oven. Having been a Maytag customer for years I will never buy a Maytag product again. And we need to support American made, but not when the consumer is misled.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher (model #MDBH979AWS3) from Home Depot on July 2010 and had it installed. After 2 weeks, I found water leaking into the basement. The installer said rubber gasket in water line de-laminated and caused leak under the dishwasher and flooded the floor to basement. Product defect and water damage covered by Maytag insurance. Now Feb 2012, about 1 1/2 years after buying, the touch panel controls dont work. I called Maytag regarding any control panel recall and they said no and its out of warranty. The advice given was that they can send out a serviceman for $269 to fix with parts, labor and one year warranty. It seems like planned obsolescence. Dont buy a Maytag.

Our Bravos model mvwx0600xw0 is 5 years old. I have been dealing with the clothes getting tangled, dark colors full of lint and streaked since I had the machine. Recently the lid lock light has been blinking with 11 minutes left in the cycle. I thought maybe it was off balance, so I stopped the cycle and rearranged everything. Same thing happened again with the lid on the drain and spin cycle. After reading all the other reviews, I realize it is not worth fixing. So long Maytag. It was good knowing you when you sold quality!

I was in my bed and lights and TV flickered. Then, I heard a small explosion and my dogs went crazy. I went into the kitchen and my Maytag Gemini stove was smoking and smells really bad. I unplugged it. The sockets and the one close to it no longer work. My house stinks now. What happened? I have had this stove for a few years but it is not used often except during the holidays.

There should be a recall. Just look at the number of people complaining about this same exact occurrence about the control panel not activating. Im on my second control panel in 24 months. Some people are on their fourth already. Give me a break. There needs to be a recall and a redesign of this thing, which turned out to be a piece of junk washer.

We purchased a Maytag front load washing machine and dryer about 5 years ago. The front load washer is completely full of mold even though I have always followed the directions of wiping it out after each wash, leaving the door cracked, washing the machine with Affresh and even trying bleach and vinegar rinses. When I called customer service they refused to do anything about it. Then the dryer stopped working after 5 years and we had to get it serviced. Now, the door has completely come apart, as in every little piece has come off the handle and surrounding door frame. I have never seen anything like this on the oldest of machines and I have taken care of these appliances. I will never buy another Maytag...

I have a new HE (high efficiency) washer. It takes getting used to as its a definite change from the old agitating system but I think I like it. It doesnt make much in the way of suds but everything still comes out really clean. The wash cycle is much longer than my old washer but it uses a lot less water.

I bought a Maytag MMV1153BAW Microwave. Within a year, the electronic key pad started cracking from normal use. After two years, the microwave intermittently starts then just stops, with the key pad showing 0000. We must unplug the device, or turn the breaker off and on. I called Maytag about the key pad and they said it wasnt covered, and a replacement key pad cost more than the microwave. After two and a half years, we purchased a new microwave, and have sworn never to buy Maytag again.

I purchased a matching set of Maytag Neptune washer and dryer about 6 years ago and the washer is junk! It sounds like a jet is landing in the laundry room. The repair man said it is not worth fixing - bad bearing. I am not happy!

We purchased a refrigerator in December 2013. It quit working less than 8 months later. The company contracted to repair it made us wait 4 days for service; they did not repair the unit. We are now expected to wait another 4 days for them to return. STAY AWAY from Maytag!!!

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. I own an iron in case a guest needs to use it but I seriously havent ironed in over 20 years. I moved into a home in November and the appliances stayed with the home. I am systematically destroying my clothes that I always washed and dried but NEVER IRONED. They come out of the Maytag washer already wrinkled. I try to unwrinkle them in the dryer. I took 2 items to the dry cleaners to see if they could steam them but no results yet. What gives Maytag???

I bought a Maytag MGR5605WW range on July 3, 2011 and it took till mid August before I received it. Right away I noticed when I put a pan on the grates, I had to be careful so they did not slip off. Dangerous! Then I made a pizza, and when I pulled the rack out of the oven, the rack tipped down and the pizza slid down on the oven. Danger again! I went over to Menards and they gave me the number of A&E (1-800-771-3029). I called them when I got home and an A&E person said they would call me back. After a few more calls, no one ever called me back. I went back to Menards. They said I need to deal with Maytag. I am very concerned with the racks, and so is everyone else. They are cheaply made. Tonight I had a family member place the frozen turkey on the rack and it bowed down! Danger again. The grates have a few chips. This is a nightmare. What a piece of trash. I’m trying to get someone to respond. This stove is dangerous to my well-being, and I have no other choice but to use it.

I am very happy with my washer. It is easy to use and does an outstanding cleaning job. I have had it for almost 7 years and have not had any problems with it. It has many different settings so it can handle virtually any cleaning job. I am particularly happy with the spin speed which is adjustable but the high speed spin really wrings the water out so the dryer which incidentally is also a Maytag drys in a fairly short time. The washer is a front loader and doesn’t use much water.

My husband and I purchased our Bravo washer and dryer from Home Depot about 5 years ago. They have been the worst ever. Clothes always tear and we continue to receive an F1 error every time we try to wash something. I dont have the money to buy a new one, but I sure wish I did. After 2 LG refs and 2 Maytag ref. fridge, I would not recommend either one. My Maytag need a new compressor. My Maytag ref only lasted for 6 years! The main circuit board failed. In the last 6 years, Ive had a Whirlpool dishwasher that the motor seized due to poor design and overseas Asian motor builder (3 years of normal service). I cleaned the motor and it seems to barely work another couple of months but the design and manufacture process was garbage at best. Thinking I would go with the best produce MAYTAG (Old commercial about repairman having no calls), only to find out that it too was bought out by CRAPPY WHIRLPOOL and it too lasted a couple of years with cheap MADE IN CHINA electronics!!! Thats why we are the laughing stock in the world as far as products.I remember the days of where built in the USA was the best of the best, now with selling our great nation down the toilet so some Wall Street Commie can make his/her biz-zillion dollars and sell this nation down the toilet. We purchased a Maytag Neptune series washer/dryer set approximately 5 years ago. This is the 2nd time in 5 years that we were told by our local repair person that the drum of the dryer got bent out of shape. This is from normal use and due to a bad design on their end. Maytag refuses to foot the bill (about $350-$400) as it is out of warranty.

I just bought this refrigerator a bit more than 2 years ago. I have to change electronic module for $300 CAD including labor. Home Depot advised me to contact directly Maytag and to express my dissatisfaction about this unreliable product.

I purchased Maytag gas range in March 2011 at Home Depot, Model No. MGR5605WWO. I received the product in May 2011. The porcelain on the grates chips away leaving large grooves in grate, which affects cooking efficiency, (the fire burns erratically). First, I called 1-800-688-9900. The grates were replaced. And then same problem, it was replaced again, and again the same problem. The warranty to cover stove was extended by 6 months. The enamel on the round magnetic cover for the burner is also chipping away. I was told that this chipping of the enamel is a cosmetic problem and does not affect the functionality of the stove problem.A repair technician was sent out at my request to see firsthand the problem grates. I was told by him that if it occurred again, the manufacturer needs to be made aware of the defective grates. He noted that the enamel covering on the grates was not uniform. I have been told by Maytag supervisor today that she will get back to me within 3-5 days and let me know what is going to be done. I have had gas ranges before, but this is the first time this problem has occurred and its continuation is unacceptable. Is there anything further I can do to ensure I have stove grates that do not chip continuously?

We bought a Maytag dishwasher in May of last year. The control panel went out about 3 months after we got it. It just started doing its own thing Like not running the wash cycle or a different cycle than we pushed. We called for a repair and were told by the repair man that the control panel was on the fritz. He ordered a new one and told us it would be a month before he could come back and install it. When the control panel showed up at our house, we installed it ourselves because we did not want to have a faulty dishwasher running in the house.Just yesterday we noticed a huge rusty area on the bottom rack. We called and were hold for 20 minutes if not more, before we were even able to talk to a rep. She then came up with every excuse as to why our rack was rusty (hard water, water changing??). We asked for a new rack but she wanted to send a repair kit. We were on the phone with her for half an hour, if not more, and she just refused to send a new rack. When we finally asked to speak to the manager we were told the wait time was 32 minutes and hung up! Do not buy crappy Maytag appliances with even crappier customer service reps! (see our review about our Maytag fridge!).

Do not purchase this microwave! I checked the reviews and thought they couldnt all have the same problem. THEY DO! This Maytag Microwave MMV4205DS1 has some faulty switch in the door latch mechanism. The warranty repair company came and adjusted the switches... and then fully replaced the switches. Each time it worked for about 30-60 days and then the same error would repeat itself. Never resolved... buying a different microwave. Be sure to check all reviews for repetitive complaints.This microwave will NOT function AT ALL with the door open/close message. Here are the details of our microwave. Purchased from Home Depot December 2015. First experienced the open/close door message around June 2016 (6 months after purchase). With the open/close door message, the interior light will not come on, the keypad will accept entries but will give the open/close door message as soon as start is pressed. Repaired under warranty August 2016. Repairman tightened and replaced one of the two fuses behind the metal plate. Also moved the door connectors as far as they would go to help with the door sensor issue. Worked until mid-December. Same message reappeared. Called repair company. Still under warranty. He order new switch parts and installed in January 2017. Microwave worked for 2 months. Then same exact door/open close message. Called repair company. Since we do not have an extended warranty, the parts would be covered but not the labor. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE or any other microwave that has reviews listing a door open/close issue. It will not go away! ...and you will be very frustrated.

I related my problems with a Maytag Bravos Washer a few days ago. A year and a half after I purchased the washer, it would no longer spin, among other problems. I was persuaded to call a repairman who diagnosed faulty electronic components which would cost me nearly $400 to repair. He confirmed that the washer was poorly built and strongly advised that I replace it. So, after paying him only $25 for a service call (he felt sorry for me), I did some research and bought a top-load agitator washer because the old-fashioned machines actually do their job - they wash clothes! I was duped by the high-efficiency claims, low-water-usage of the Maytag which didnt wash that well when it did work.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL Top Loading Washer and matching dryer in 2013. I had a repairman out to install a new screen on the dryer because the lint was spilling over into the surrounding area. The new screen has been catching most of the lint, but I still have to vacuum the surrounding area after a few loads. Also, I have to turn the dryer on two (2) cycles in order to dry most of the clothes, and the machine makes a lot of noise. Those are minor problems compared to the washer. It constantly tears holes in my towels and wash clothes. I NEVER put in a full load because the water level is so low, and it does not clean the clothes. It takes a long time to go through cycles and it is EXTREMELY noisy.I called Maytag and they said that they never heard of the problem of creating holes in towels and wash clothes, and wanted to charge me over $100 to have a repairman come out. They also said that the repairman might not find anything wrong. I feel that the washing machine is very hard on the clothes - like the salesman at Lowes said It’s like beating the clothes against a rock. The washer and dryer are JUNK, and I would not recommend these to anyone! I would trash them, but they were very expensive and we cannot afford to buy new at this time.

Was a Maytag washer. First one lasted one year. Second one replacement one lasted for years. But the company’s warranty is replacing this one without too much hassle. When it runs it does a good job. It’s a big load. All in all a very good washer.

I spent over 2000 on a Maytag refrigerator. In less than 5 years, the coolant system has gone out twice! The only response I get is, “We are sorry, but it is 5 years old.” Are you kidding me? I have a 20-year-old fridge in the garage that is still working and I didnt spend over $2k on it! I thought Maytag was the best product out there and it certainly is not. Do not ever buy Maytag.

I had to replace a washer & dryer which was destroyed in a fire. We lost everything. I was hoping a new set would last me many years. Boy, I was wrong. Maytag Bravo washer is the worst by far. I havent even had it 4 years. I had a plumber in 4 times already. The pump keeps breaking; it doesnt drain properly. It appears that dirt is entering the clean laundry and the laundry has to be washed again. It looks like I have to research for a new washer. It wont be a Maytag. They are thieves!

Discovered that thousands of others are having problems with the control panel on their dishwasher. Mine is Model # MDB7749SBM2. Looks as if I should just junk this horrible product and buy a new one (another brand, of course). My biggest concern is that I purchased other Maytag products along with this dishwasher, ie, a refrigerator-freezer, a built-in stove top/oven and a microwave. I have had a service call on the fridge (water line), the oven (gas) will indicate a set temperature (400 degrees for example) sometimes it will only be abt 200 degrees via a portable thermometer... Sometimes it doesnt ignite at all (have to reset it 3 or 4 times, the microwave has issues with the digital readouts, and on and on and on.I have only had these appliances about two years (after warranty expired) when each unit started exhibiting problems. I paid $175 for the fridge repair and am now considering biting the bullet & replacing everything as MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL apparently isnt going to take responsibility for any defect on ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS! Im 75 years of age, retired and cannot afford the replacement route but it looks like I dont have a choice unless someone has a better suggestion. I dont have the skills or energy to attempt the repairs myself.

We had 10 year old Kenmore units in the past that were much better and worked faster at both cleaning and drying. We prefer a washer with a agitator and top load. The dryer is preferred to be gas. Both the Maytag washer and dryer we have need constant repairs. Washer for control panel repairs, and dryer for false heat sensing problems. Now they say not to use dryer anti-wrinkle sheets. The washer needs less sheets put in at a time to rinse better. It is a agitator less model.

Maytags reputation for quality is gone. Our Neptune washer has had mold, door lock seized up and wouldnt open, and now our dryer drum is cracked. Exaggerating your products reliability is one thing - this borders on corporate fraud.

We purchased a dishwasher (Maytag) two or three years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. The welds on the upper rack broke. The wheels on the low rack keep falling off. Water leak happened recently. The start button broke. My wife and I decided to just get a new one rather than keep sinking maintenance costs which are going to keep adding up.

Maytag Frenchdoor MFX2570AEM3 - Was initially really excited with this brand new fridge. We have not even fully paid it off, as we bought with credit at Home Depot, and it continuously leaks water from freezer! I have taken everything out, defrosted, spent about two hours pushing hot water through the freezer drain with a turkey baster and it was only about four days before I had a puddle on my floor again! We have bought quite a few maytag products before, but after this fridge, probably never again! If there is a recall or a lawsuit pending, please, someone advise me of either.

We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

I dont even bother repairing those things. Customer calls and I say, Sorry, those are worthless. I did try but gave up. Buy Speed Queen. Traditional, heavy duty, with three-year warranty. Whirlpool who owns Maytag doesnt give a crap. They want their warranty repairmen to pass drug tests but no longer give appliance training. Speed Queen is built in Wisconsin. Who knows who is building the Maytag crap. Another customer had a similar problem with Maytag stove, 1 year old. Whirlpool and Menards said, Sorry, you didnt buy the extended warranty. I have conversations with just about every customer about junk appliances these days. Try to find used 20-year old Maytag for quality. Good luck.

My refrigerator is several years old, and I would buy the same brand when I need a new one, although I would hopefully buy a counter depth one because my kitchen is so small, and the one I have now is kind of big for the space.

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

We purchased the Maytag Atlantis used (4 years old); it looked like new. When I opened the lid, I noticed a terrible smell like some left the clothes in the washer for days. I used white vinegar, baking soda, bleach, anything to try and get rid of the smell. Nothing worked. Finally, my husband took out the agitator and then the drum. Inside and around the drum was lint from all the years of washing clothes. He scraped it all off and bleached it and put it back together and it was okay for a while. It now smells again and I am afraid we will have to keep doing this or our clothes will always smell. I also leave the lid open after a wash so Im not attacked by the smell when we open it. I also had the Maytag Neptune front loader years ago, and the water pooled by the gasket on the door. That smelled too! We will be redoing our laundry area soon and will be shopping for a new washer and dryer. It will not be a Maytag!

I have written to Whirlpool about complaints with this range and was very dissatisfied with response. The following were complaints on above range: Range does not have a light on it as the past ranges had. It is very much needed. Grates on burner are to high, therefore it takes longer for items in pot to heat up. Type of steel used on range is very thin and tiny, in other words very poor quality. This is what has happened since Whirlpool bought out Maytag. Quality of Steel that Maytag used is no longer since Whirlpool took over their products. This is true of All their Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, and Ranges). All meaning appliances manufactured by Whirlpool.Manual knobs for turning on oven have been replaced by touch screens, these eventually wear out and are very costly to replace. If it works why change it. Drawers on bottom of range used to be larger, now they are narrow and smaller height wise. Residue on base of burner appears quite frequently and has to be cleaned even if no overspills occur. And why cant Whirlpool make quality merchandise as good as Maytag use to make. Regarding the physical appearance of Range it is very attractive in looks, however Looking good and functioning poorly with inadequate materials used in construction of Appliances outweighs benefits of looking good. My wife and I regret not returning this appliance within 90 days of purchase. In the future we will not purchase Whirlpool or any other appliances manufactured by them if that is possible. Kenmore, LG and perhaps other appliances parts are made by Whirlpool. I received a response from Jake **, Whirlpool Corporation, Executive Office. My complaint sounds just like the others listed here. Purchased Maytag dishwasher MDBH979SAB1 at Home Depot 2/2013. In June 2014, the control panel started to malfunction. When I called Maytag, these were the options given: 1--have it serviced out of warranty at $89-$150 for repairmans trip & diagnostic, which doesnt include parts & labor or 2--obtain something called Repair plus one, which covers the cost of repair and reinstates the warranty for one year at the low cost of $264.95. So either way, Im going to have to pay almost 1/2 of the original purchase price. Ridiculous! We had our previous dishwasher (not a Maytag) for over 13 years, with only minor repairs. We purchased a Maytag because we thought it was a reputable company that stands behind their products---well dont believe it! I would NEVER recommend any of their products.

Have 2 fridges (one regular and the other is a side-by-side, both were bought in 2006 at Future Shop. The small one is not freezing and the side-by-side ($2,200) is busted too (compressor wont start....). How can Maytag say that their product are reliable on TV??? A Fridges compressor should last at least 15 years !! Maytag, you should at least have the decency to pay for the compressor!

I have had two Maytag washing machines in the past. Both lasted 20 years. Three years ago I purchased my first Maytag front loader washer and dryer. The washer is terrible. Although I clean it regularly plus spend money buying Affresh tablets and leave both the door and the soap dispenser open, the washer smells and builds up tons of mold. Cleaning out the heavy mold in the soap dispenser area is almost impossible. I spray bleach in there and then try to stick my arm into the back where most of the mold accumulates. Cant really get it all. Also, there is a problem with the softener dispenser. It gunks up and gets clogged. Had to keep pouring hot water and vinegar into it. Contacted customer service who was no help - they simply wrote to clean the machine. Huh? The dryer turns sheets into a tight roll with the inside not drying.

We purchased a Maytag Centennial line washer (Model # MVWC400XW0) and paid a little more hoping that it will last longer than a normal washer. After just 14 months, the washer breaks and we are forced to buy an extended warranty from Maytag for $300. The warranty price seemed a little high; however, the only other option was to buy a new washer. The repair guys showed and said it should be fixed.After just three weeks, the washer broke again with the exact same symptom. Since I had the extended warranty, I called in another ticket. A different repair guy showed up and he said the first guy messed up. He said the guy misread the diagnostic code and didnt even put in the part that he said he replaced. The repair guy checked with Maytag and they told him it was no longer cost effective to fix our washer. Really? They overcharged for the warranty and wont even repair it when it breaks. The only reason I can think Maytag would do this is that they know the washers are junk.

Updated on 01/21/2019: I have contacted Maytag numerous times with no results. I purchased a washer and dryer on 2/7/2018 and the dryer takes hours to dry my clothes. I contacted them 2 months after my purchase and then waited and contacted again and again. I have contacted them numerous time with nobody contacting me back. I want a complete full refund in the amount of $1031.06! I want to purchase another washer and dryer from someone else and purchase both so they match.Original Review: Maytag MCT Dryer - The washer I purchase is great but the dryer doesnt dry worth anything. Dont buy it. Takes me hours to dry one load and the only reason I purchased this was because my old dryer was drying less but actually was better than this one. The time sensored dryer isnt worth 5 cents. So disappointed! I have had it 2 months, paid cash at Lowes and so unhappy!

No problem with retailer. Problem is this top of the line Maytag dishwasher, Model# MD8895lAWW. Stinks all around. Takes long to wash and load, times are far apart and too few so holds few dishes. Dishes and glasses break because of the tine spaces. Horrible dishwasher for high price. I hate it so much it upsets me daily. All I get is a sorry from Maytag. Its not that old, only a year and a half. Why no satisfaction? I will avoid all Maytag products for life.

The Maytag Centennial is the worst washer ever. Not only doesnt get the clothes clean but it does not spin out properly either so your clothes have to be run through a 2nd time after washing. The water fill level is so low that the clothes are not covered in water at all, even midway through the wash.

I bought my Maytag refrigerator Sept. 2013 and now in December, 2014 it is dead. After five visits from Maytag to repair it, they say it will cost $1,200 to repair it. The advice the man gave me was throw it out and buy something different. The refrigerator never worked right from the beginning. Four of the visits were in the warranty period. Compressor and evaporator shot. NEVER AGAIN. Maytag does not stand behind what they sell.

I have the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer. The machine has broken several times every year, and every year, Maytag makes me feel like it is my fault. They built a machine, and they do not stand behind it. And I cannot get a local machinist to work on it. I have asked Maytag to replace it from the start, and they refused, telling me its out of warranty. The only thing out of warranty is the frame--all parts are new. Here is the history:On 1/04/2008, I purchased it from Home Depot, and it cost $815. Then in 4/2009, there was an F51 code, and Maytag replaced the mother board after long hold times and much pleading to help me. They said they could do nothing, because it was out of warranty. It took manager to manager to manager to get the agreement to extend the warranty. (I then found that this was a regular Maytag issue.)From 9/2010 to 10/2010, an ld code occurred. The approved Maytag scheduled service had to come out 4 different times to attempt to fix the issue. One time, they said it was broken wires for the drain pump. The next, it was off balance; and the next, it was a sensor. Then the next time, they replaced the mother board again, and again after much argument that the part was less than a year old. Each time, they get more and more difficult to deal with and made me feel more and more like I am asking them for something unreasonable. The service guys said the washer was like new.... All new parts and I would never have a problem again. It cost $80 after argument, and Maytag covered the parts.Last 2/2011, problems include a fast spin, ld code, and off balance; and it stopped working. It needed new suspension rods which cost $250. Maytag paid nothing. Then in 8/2011, ld code started again, and I would have to turn off to drain and then restart to spin. Maytag called in a service call, and they never showed up. Every time, they said they read over my file and that theres nothing they can do to help me. And no one else for me to speak to.In 10/2011, the ld code came on permanently. The Maytag call I made this time again said there was nothing they could do to help me.I am so frustrated; I dont know what to do next. I threw away an older set working washer and dryer, thinking I made a great decision to upgrade to this new set. Now my family of 5 cannot wash our clothes. No one will work on the washers locally, and Maytag treats me like Im complaining for nothing and I should just spend endless dollars to fix this machine. And Im at a loss. I had to get a part for the dryer the other day, and the parts store person told me that this washer is one of Maytags mistakes. if that is so, why wont they help me?

Purchased model MBF1958XEB4 September 2012. The unit is provided with a bottom freezer. About 2 month age water was forming and freezing on the bottom of the freezer compartment and leaking on the floor. It appears that this is a common design flaw recognized by Maytag with an updated part available that is intended to correct this problem.Contacting the extended warranty company I was informed that this is normal maintenance and not covered under the plan. Liars!! One does not remove a car engine to change the oil. To correct this problem the refrigerator is required to be pulled from the wall, disconnected from power, remove the back lower cover, disconnect two wire cables, replace the drain tube and reverse the process. Normal maintenance - give me a break. The company promoting this phony plan is Federal Warranty Service Corporation in Atlanta, GA. Do not buy a plan from them and if you have one cancel and receive a refund if possible. Maytag get into another business because your product is junk.

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

Purchased 4 Maytag kitchen appliances - stove, double oven, fridge, dishwasher - was told that they were all made in the USA. WRONG. The microwave comes from China - not sure why Maytag is not being honest. Not happy with my purchases - even though we spent $4000 to buy American. Warranty service is awful - even extended warranty is a joke. Would never purchase Maytag again.

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

We purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer from The Home Depot in September of 2017. We did not purchase the extended warranty because of our confidence in the brand. Within less than a year, both appliances started making noises. By September of 2018, the washer sounded like it had a bag of mice squeaking inside every time we ran a load and had stopped spinning entirely. I called and spoke to a very kind lady who assured me that even if we were outside the one year manufacturers warranty, they would offer us the extended warranty without question because it was so close to the one year purchase. She took my credit card, we were charged for a five year plan and service was scheduled. After service, both units were still louder than I would prefer but the technician said it was common. Over the last few months, both have become louder and louder. Now the dryer shuts off and wont stay on. When I called back to schedule service again, the date of our purchase was all of a sudden in question. (I applied for the contract over the phone so THEIR rep entered the purchase date.) They are now telling us they will only honor the cost of parts and we are subject to pay for diagnostics and labor (which is the largest cost of repair). They are telling us our contract has to be cancelled and AFTER we receive and PAY FOR all but the parts, we can call and pay for a NEW contract. This has been the WORST appliance purchase we have EVER made and we have lost all confidence in the quality of Maytag/Whirlpool appliances. Both units have been VERY disappointing and we spent over $700 on each unit. NEVER AGAIN.

I also bought a Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW and matching dryer model #MDG5500AWW in 2001 and within a month, I called Sears and Maytag. I told them about the terrible odor and mold growing. The repairman said it is normal and told me to use Tide detergent once every two weeks. The dryer had a major breakdown and I had to buy a whole header with all the electrical components. I too bought the brand name Maytag due to a good reputation that Maytag had. I never received a recall notice or anything from Maytag. I will never buy Maytag products again. I found out from a salesperson at Sears that Maytag was sold to Whirlpool. The salesperson said the reviews are terrible for Maytag products especially for my models. I will never buy from Sears, etc. What can you do for me? Maytag and Whirlpool need to take their responsibility for their products! I am truly lucky I did not buy a plane from them. I and a lot of people would be dead.

Im living in a shop lot area and its near a university school. It has different laundromat stores here, and the cheapest is the one who have Maytag washers. So Ive been going there to wash clothes and as time passes, I noticed that the clothes have been getting stains after washing and these stains cannot be removed easily. Ive read reviews about clothes getting stained using Maytag washers and I cant believe that it happened to me. I dont know whats with Maytag that makes the clothes dirty/stained. I went to other laundromat stores that are not using Maytag washers. Its quite expensive, but it really makes your clothes clean.

I purchased this set 7 years ago and the washer started stopping mid-cycle and the dryer sensor doesnt work. I called the Maytag service number and after several phone calls (they had my name spelled incorrectly and the wrong address), was able to schedule an authorized servicer. He said the motor and motor controller needed to be replaced and it would cost over $900. When I said I expected my $1,200 washer to last more than 7 years, the service person informed me that the machines were made by Samsung (not Maytag) and just carried the Maytag label. He said the Maytag Neptune washers and dryers were the reason Maytag went into bankruptcy and was bought out by Whirlpool. I am disappointed Whirlpool/Maytag does not stand behind this product and will not buy this brand again.

I purchased an automatic dishwasher for $660.00 on or about Aug of 2007 (Mod #MDB6759AWS3 ser # NY3417703). It was a model about to be discontinued however still carried the full one year warranty. After install one year and 28 days it failed. The tech described a faulty computer board and a replacement cost of $885.00, a cost of $215.00 more than it originally cost!! They did offer a warranty of one year after we installed the new part but at a cost of $215.00 more than we originally paid! Maytag promotes their brand as reliable. However I dispute this claim.

All I can say is what a mistake. Had a front loader that always smelled and had mold around rubber gasket in door. So, wanted a top loader this time after old GE died. Unbelievable, not enough water to clean clothing. Clothing comes out with some dry spots. And the worse thing is washing black items, tiny particles on black pants, shirts, etc. Think is lint not soap but not sure. You have to rub all over the clothing to try and remove. This washer is 8 months old and I have cleaned it with baking soda and vinegar mixture thinking this would help, it doesnt. The spin cycle sounds like a rocket ship taking off. Lots of banging noises during operation also. I have invested a lot of money thinking Maytag is rated high. It is a pretty grey color with glass top. Well I was fooled, not only the saying looks arent everything for people but its true for washing machines. I have gotten multiple mail from co. wanting me to get extended warranty. Think I will, usually dont, cause I think it wont be reliable. Wish I had my washer from the 70s and 80s. Plain old wringer that got things clean. Just put black pants in dryer on very low heat taken out damp cause I dont dry a lot of my clothing. This seems to have helped to remove stains (soap)/ lint. but, talk about wrinkles, oh boy, this machine has that spin cycle going 100 miles a minute. And if you pick a lower spin speed things come out wet. I actually can say I hate this Maytag Bravo. Things dont come out clean, wrinkles beyond control, very loud. Please folks check out your sites on the internet before buying Maytag.

We bought a Maytag dryer from Lowes on 4.23.20 for $567.87. From Day 1, it required us to dry even medium loads at least 2 times and sometimes even 3 times. I have been complaining to my husband since we got it. The clothes come out smelling almost burnt. But if you dry it once, the clothes are wet. And if you try to dry it the 2nd time for less time, its still not dry. So, it takes forever to do laundry. This morning, it sounded like a lot of metal was rattling around. So, I looked inside to see if change was in there, and nothing was in there but t-shirts and socks. It had been drying for less than a minute, but when I opened the door a wave of extreme heat hit my face. Now Im afraid to use it because I think it will eventually burn our house down. And with COVID-19, we do tons of laundry. We cant afford another dryer but may have no choice.

Oven door glass shatters after 6 years of having this oven and the company refuses to cover it. According to them it is not a safety concern. It is actually designed to shatter this way. Wow, thats comforting. Should be 0 stars not 1 star.

We bought the Maytag 2000 series washer and dryer stackable set in 2012 from Home Depot. My husband was smart enough to buy an extended warranty and year after year we renewed it. Guess what?? Year after year the dang washer broke. This machine was a nightmare! Now that the drum spider is broken they will not honor our warranty but want to give us $300 and guess what? I cant find a replacement for my good working dryer. We bought this set because we live in tiny space and needed them stacked. Maytag really put us in a corner and we have no money to replace both appliances. Horrible customer service. Horrible machines. Just a horrible situation. We dont know what to do.
