In July 2001 my husband and I purchased a 6-year old home. We are still here. We have replaced the refrigerator, oven and microwave - all in stainless steel. I am still waiting for the Maytag dishwasher to wear out. It has never been repaired because it has never broken down. Cleans dishes and silverware great.

Purchased an expensive brand new home which had Maytag appliances in it. After about 1 1/2 years the freezer bottom began to constantly freeze and drip onto my floor. I researched the issue and found it was common, simply thaw the area where it freezes. Did it multiple times, we do not overfill our freezer etc. We must take the ice out of the bottom every 4-5 days. My hardwood floors are destroyed now. We purchased a Samsung fridge freezer bottom when they first came out years ago, had it for 7 years, 0 issues, but it went with the house. Now my Maytag oven door is locked shut, also it takes a very long time to boil water. Maytag junk. I am going to buy another Samsung fridge tomorrow.

Would give them 0 Stars if that was an option. Bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Aug 2021. Washer broke Jan 6 2022. Called Maytag/Whirlpool on Jan 6 as it was still under warranty. They only had one service company in our area to work on the washer. I called them and it took them 10 days to come see what is wrong. Ordered parts. Said it would be 2 weeks. We are now 6 weeks into this with no parts. Called customer service and they said they were notified that their service company needed a part and would take another 21 days to resolve. Talked to a supervisor (Demetrius) who sounded like he did NOT want to be in that position. Offered no solution other than we will just have to wait. Threw a 3 month extension for the warranty on which still does not fix the problem. Sad to see this company go down the tubes as it was once a pretty decent business with solid products. No longer.

Ive had my Maytag oven for about 5 years and the oven and burners are still working perfectly. The problem is the light bulbs. One of the light bulbs has a rickety connection because I have to keep twisting the bulb every time I turn it on to keep the light on. My other light bulb burned out and Im not replacing it because Im concerned the problem is in the electrical part where I screw it in, not the bulb itself, so Im leaving it off and am using the other annoying bulb and I installed a lamp under the counter to compensate for the missing light from the other stove bulb. The most important part of the oven are the cooking features so even though the bulb situation is annoying, it cooking features perform well.

I purchased the top load Maytag Commercial Residential washer with an agitator last month. I wanted a basic washer with Hot/Warm/Cold settings, Delicate/Normal/Heavy Duty cycles, Small/Medium/Large loads. I paid over $800 for this washer and I cannot wash my whites or rags in hot water! The hot water setting dispenses hot water, then cold water, back and forth. The end result is cool water. Ive called Maytag, Ive been told that there is nothing that can be done about it, thats how theyre made to be considered HE. I asked them why they even put a hot or warm water setting on the washer.You have no control over the water level, all cycles except for normal run in a deep water setting (full drum of water), I dont know why delicates are in a deep water setting. I only wash a couple pieces of delicates together. I end up using a lot more water and detergent with this washer. I hope we dont have to conserve water in the next few years! So though this washer uses less hot water energy, it wastes a lot of water, my water bill goes up and my detergent is used up much quicker! I cannot add time to my wash cycle, (the actual washing/agitation cycle is very short - 10 minutes) it has to drain all of the water and re-start the cycle with more water! $800 is a lot of money for a washer that doesnt wash like my old cheap washer. The local store cant do anything about it and Maytag brushed me off.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, At first I was skeptical and I once thought that I was the only one whose wife complained about the terrible soap stains and un-rinsed clothes. And finally my rinse and spin cycle stopped spinning and rinsing! However, after reading several reviews and complaints about the famous Bravo X He washer by Maytag and taking into consideration that there are over 650 complaints, making mine # 651. I now find I have lost all skeptical-ability and feel that we all may be comrades in this venture of purchasing the new trademark of the trade-mark Maytag. As almost all of us say our previous experience with Maytag was great. My parents had a Maytag since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and we were a family of eight. First we had the one with the rubber rollers, that was a work of mechanical genius. I even remember getting my arm caught in the rollers. Then my dad bought the spin dry model and that lasted a good 20 years. When I say the Bravo X at Sears it looked like the state of the art washer. However, and unfortunately I will have to agree with all of you. It is a piece of scrap metal and Maytag will not recall or recognize their mistake and make good on a recall or something. The least they should do is give us an old machine that does wash and spin to replace the new one that is less than 2 years old and does not work. I sure hope this letter does not fall on blind eyes. Freezer leaks water all over the kitchen floor in front of this $1900 piece of garbage. My husband disconnected the water line (for in-door water and ice cube dispenser) and it STILL leaks water. I can vaguely remember a time when the purchase of a refrigerator (manufactured in the USA) wasnt necessary more than once or twice in the average persons lifetime. This Maytag refrigerator is our second french door fridge in 5 years. The last one was an LG that had a shoddily designed and manufactured compressor that sounded like a diesel engine idling in our kitchen. Of the two, this one is equally defective but doesnt wake the dead when the compressor starts.It has become glaringly apparent the Chinese practice something I refer to as Cargo Cult manufacturing. Google Cargo Cult and youll understand what I mean. Briefly, they manufacture products that APPEAR to be refrigerators, washing machines, ranges, etc. However, lack of quality control and zero competition from companies that provide a well-made, quality product that lasts more than a year or two allows and encourages these slobs to continue pumping out what appear to be appliances until the consumer plugs them in. Thats when the fun begins.

This was my first Maytag, will definitely be my last. I purchased the combo washer and dryer from Home Depot in 2014. So far it has broken down 4 times needing major parts replaced. The first 2 times it broke within 3 months of owning the machine, so I called Maytag and made very irate complaints and was able to get the 1-year factory warranty extended by another 6 months. This month (May) marks the end of their extended warranty and lo and behold, the machine broke again! I called Maytag again, asking to speak with supervisors instead of customer service reps. They refused to put me on the phone with anyone higher up. I got as far as a customer service manager and she wouldnt budge. Her response was: If the machine breaks again, call us back and we will be happy to review your case at that time. I assured her that the machine would definitely break again, because it is a lemon and has broken 4 times already and wanted satisfaction NOW!! She refused to continue speaking with me and told me to call back if and when the machine breaks again. I am deeply disappointed in Maytag as a company. They had a wonderful reputation way back when, but their customer service department is sorely lacking along with selling a sub-standard product that they will not stand by. I plan on taking this matter further. I am a business owner as well as a single mom, and have no time for broken down machines and nonsense.

Yesterday, the main compartment of the refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer still is working. This unit is 2.5 years old! I have never bought an extended warranty before, but on day one, this unit hardly ever shut off. It didnt seem like the electric bill was any higher but never felt good about the unit. Plus, I hated the ice cubes all over the floor when I pulled out the lower drawer. The monitoring device is in the roof of the fridge and takes up a lot of square footage. Nope, will never buy another Maytag. If their products cant last more the at least eight years, then it is such a waste of our money. Do better! Im writing Consumer Report and the President of the company. Who replaces all the food loss?

Maytag is a reputable brand name for a washer & dryer. However, they have done very well in the oven/range industry as well! I own a oven/range for over 4 years now and it works great???! Food is cooked to perfection and cleaning???? And self-cleaning is a snap!

Two years ago I purchased a Maytag commercial technology top-load washer. It only two options for water level, either deep water or Auto sensor. Because I live alone I have very small amounts of clothing to wash at a time. Therefore I was excited about the auto sense to save water. However when using the auto sensor theres such a small amount of water in the drum it does not cover the clothes being washed and often I have items of clothing come out of the wash cycle and rinse cycle with dry spots on them yet. The clothes dont get clean and begin to smell stale shortly after theyve been washed. I contacted the business from which I purchased the machine and they were not able nor willing to do anything about my dissatisfaction. This is the worst Appliance I have ever purchased in my 64 years hows life. I hate this washer. It is totally ineffective. And now Im stuck with it and dirty clothes.

The oven works. However, there are two safety issues. First, the flat metal panel above the air vent and below the instrument panel gets extremely HOT. This is the location we can easily touch, especially when we operate the instrument panel. We almost burned our hands. Second, the edges of the unit are very SHARP. We almost cut our legs. These are serious safety issues. In addition, we/I tried to post a review at Maytag site pointing out these safety issues. The review was twice moderate (i.e., rejected). Even though I used to like Maytag, this experience changed my mind.

My Bravo washer does NOT clean my clothes. I have tried many detergents. I have to pre-treat all spots with dish soap and run hot water over and then rub the spots out. This was the only recommendation given after consulting with Maytag. I have to pre-soak my clothes in a pail of water with detergent. The water is brown. My clothes are dingy, spotted and have bleach spots. I am very careful so this is not from pouring into the bleach dispenser. Maytag was the reason I purchased this washer. Never again.

This is a Bravos MTC machine. It is a top load and has an energy star rating. Made in the United States. Impressed by its low water usage and Its ability to clean clothes. This particular model comes with a 10 year limited parts warranty, drive motor and washbasket.

We bought this brand new washing machine just 6 years ago. Went with a Maytag because they are supposed to “last forever”. Ha! Last weekend it stopped spinning. Water would drain but no spin cycle. Had a recommended repair person come out and he said it was unfixable. The bearings were shot. This is crazy. There are only two of us using this machine how could it be totally unfixable 6 after only 6 years. The average washing machine life is supposed to be 14 years. No more Maytag for us.

I have had my washer and dryer for 14 months and from day one, my washer eats holes in my clothes. It is always the bottom center front of my shirts. I complained about this and was told it was my clothes. They were either old, or the type of fabric, or too much bleach, etc. etc. Everything was wrong with myclothes except the washer. I purchased a new shirt and washed it without ever had worn it, and when I took it out of the washer, it has holes in the front. NOW YOU TELL ME that is the shirt and not the washer. I have used Maytag for the past 40 years and I never had any problems with the old Maytag washers. This new Bravos is a piece of junk and I am sorry I ever purchased it. I will never buy another Maytag product.

Maytag Bravo XL - We bought the set about a year ago, after high recommendations from the salesman at Best Buy. This washer does not clean clothes - they come out with soap & spots & white stuff, even after I use the deep water or the extra rinse cycles. These cycles take well over an hour. When they are finally finished, my clothes are twisted into ropes that have to be unwound & taken apart before putting in the dryer. I hate to think what its doing to more delicate clothing, getting stretched & tied up like that. This washer is awful - cant wait to get a new one. The dryer isnt much better - cant believe a $900 dryer doesnt have a steam refresh cycle! And the controls are so touchy - if you actually push them, they dont work. If you lightly hover over the button & barely breathe on it, it does - very strange.

I have not been satisfied with this Bravo washer since purchased 4 years ago. I have been holding back anger, hoping things would somehow improve. Clothes are never really cleaned, cant even fill washer with very many clothes because the washer goes off balance. It takes a lot longer to do laundry. Clothes spin so fast they are in knots when I put them in the dryer. I always have to iron clothes. Today, well today we have a leak coming from under the washer somewhere. So please tell me, what is the advantage to having a HE washer again? By the way, no warranty since its been 4 years. I will never buy another one.

Can not wash 4 pairs of pants or 2 sheets because they get out of balance when the spin cycle begins. I had to take the clothes out and move them around to keep the balance. Very unhappy. Would not recommend this washer.

Quiet, well priced and reliable technology which makes owning this dishwasher an easy buying and owning experience. Having the brand backed with great reliability and if needed excellent service makes the buying decision easy for the consumer.

Disappointing that a Maytag would be a problem machine. Constantly out of balance when spinning and mediocre cleaning. Now it is spitting oil underneath. Am on my way to buy new machine with agitator.

Never dies, never have had to have it serviced. House burned down is reason why it died. So I rebuilt, bought another one, then moved took it with me, then left it with my daughter and moved to Mexico. The dryer is still working to date and this all happened over 10 years ago. I sooo want another one. Best brand period. I only buy Maytag as they last. Unfortunately I do not have one now as they were unavailable in this country so bought something different. I was told the machine I have currently was as good as a maytag - they lied. I recently found out they have them now, so when I can afford one again, I will purchase one.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in Sept. 2013. This dishwasher looks great, but it leaves glasses stained with a cloudy haze. It also does NOT dry, even on jet steam dry mode. Bottom line, after a little research, I was the one who bought it, so I took accountability and just rolled with it. Well, the control panel stopped working this week (wont light up). I called maytag and the lady told me they would cover a service call and parts even though its not under warranty. When the service company called me, they said maytag will NOT cover cost, totally contradicting what the Maytag lady told me. After reading these other posts, I wish I would have visited this site before I bought this headache of a machine. I will never buy Maytag again!

I hate my new Maytag washer and wish I had never purchased it. Theres no way to control the water level in it, and on sensor mode, the clothes are barely wet and rubbing against each other creating wear. Things come out with soap stains and twisted up so tight that I dont believe water got close enough to the dirt to carry it away. Dont waste your money.

The washer is designed to use low amounts of water. The top is glass so you can watch what is or is not happening. The manual states there should be clothes above the water after filling. However after the wash cycle with a full or even half full washer, there is still some dry clothes above the water. As a result the clothes are not washed until the rinse cycle. I called Maytag and a repair tech came out to fix it. His solution was to trick the sensors by dumping a pail of water on top of the dry clothes before starting the washer. The sensors think there are more clothes than there really is. Will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again.

Purchased a new set of Maytag Bravos appliances in 2010. Washer lasted 3 years -- had a failed bearing and repairman said not worth fixing as tub would most likely also need to be replaced. Replaced with a new Speed Queen which has been operating trouble-free. Today dryer quit heating -- repair person stated it needs a new board -- not worth it to me. I am off to now purchase a new Speed Queen dryer. What happened to Maytag quality???

Weve got a 3 year old dishwasher thats stopped working. First some of the lights on the control panel wouldnt light up, now only one light will light up and it wont start at all. Maytag would be better served to stick with the older mechanical switches and settings if it cant manufacture reliable electronic control panels.

Had our house built in 2009 and the builder carry Maytag Appliances. After 3 years every single appliances start giving us problems. First the refrigerator not getting cold, got it fixed. Then the dishwasher panel, then the built-in microwave, then washing machine. Just the other day the refrigerator broke down again and I was told the compressor was bad. Really? Whats going with this company? All the appliances from this maker dont have longevity. I have 20 year older refrigerator from GE and its still working. Please do not buy this garbage... Its a waste of your hard-earned money.

I purchased a Maytag Epic Z Front Load Washer less than 5 years ago, and there is only 1 person in my household. I replaced a part that the technician said was bad for $300 and that didnt work, so they replaced another part for another$ 200. Then, when that didnt work, Whirlpool deemed my washer irreparable, and they will not stand behind their product. This is totally unacceptable, and I will never buy another Whirlpool product. I will also tell others that they do not stand behind their product. If this was a 20 year old product, I would understand but it is not typical for something like this to happen.

I purchased a Maytag MDB7749AWM model dishwasher in March of 2012 for approximately $600. Fifteen months later, the control panel has gone out on it. From what I understand, this problem happens so often that its not even worth repairing this dishwasher.

My washer is great. It get the job done. Have no agitator so I can wash 2 comforters. I really like Maytag Heavy Duty. Can get the job done right the first time. Self clean itself also. Also it is a efficiency.

I have had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. It recently started leaking water on the floor and all over the bottom of the freezer. Repairman said it is a flaw with the defrost drain design. He thinks Maytag MIGHT have changed it since I purchased mine, but I dont know. Originally they used this small rubber valve;repairman said they get clogged very easily (even though I vacuum around it regularly and dont have any pets). He replaced that part with something sturdy that looks like a p trap. I looked online and there are loads of complaints about this exact issue with the defrost drain clogging. It cost $250 to have it repaired. I called Maytag to ask to be reimbursed and of course they will not do anything since it is out of warranty. Its a shame Maytag wont stand behind their products. Since there are so many of us with this issue, cant something be done?

I tried to open the door to put clothes in the dryer and got severely shocked by 220 volts. The dryer is only a couple of weeks old. The power cord wasnt crimped and it fell out of the diggings and electrified the entire dryer. I guess we were lucky it didnt burn our house down. I took pictures then I fixed it myself.

I am renting to own a Maytag refrigerator and it is leaking water on my floor. Runt my floor already - had to replace the floor once. Sent it back to the place where I got it for them to fix it. Paying insurance by the way that isnt worth a crap either cause they wanting to tell me that I left it open at some point or the lights was off at some point. Anyway to make a long story short they gave me the run around and didnt want to fix it. But how do you fight big companies? This was a rental company by the way rent to own so now I have 4 payments left out of 24 at 180.00 each and they still dont want to fix it. I dont know who to be madder at - the rental company or Maytag from selling this piece of junk. But by me renting to own it if any problems occurred they were suppose to fix it. Youre already paying twice the amount to get one cause of credit issues. But thats no reason to double screw someone or should I say triple cause you getting doubled the rental company alone. They need to recall this refrigerator. It has been a lot of complaint and they want to tell you to go behind the refrigerator unstop a line. Well I didnt buy this refrigerator to have to work on pulling it out from the wall every two days to do this procedure. This is crazy. Any one out there looking to buy a refrigerator my advice to you would be do your research and stay away from rental places whatever you do because you will pay twice the amount and they wont stand behind their promise either to fix it as long as you renting from them! And stay away from Maytag!!!

All of a sudden, the lid lock light is flashing. The washer is only 1.5 years old!

Maytag, you left me disillusioned and disappointed. I used to believe you, trust you. How am I going to feed my kids without a fridge? I bought our side-by-side French door refrigerator a few years ago and even bought the extended warranty (which no longer is in effect, unfortunately). Yesterday, the refrigerator failed, We called a small local repair person who could be at my home in a couple of hours. He listened and said my compressor was out, a leak was probably in there too, and that it would cost about 900 dollars or more to repair. When I called Maytag to see what they thought, they said that because I called a non-Maytag assigned repair person (even though this small-business repair guy didnt even take apart the refrigerator), I could no longer get their repair plus one year warranty offer which runs 400 dollars. But there is nothing I see on their warranty page that says this. Here I was trying to help our local economy by calling a small mom-and-pop repair person who is known in our town and has a good reputation, but I guess that by doing that minor well-intentioned act, it goes against Maytag corporate policy. Wow, how foolish do I feel now? I feel ashamed to admit this, but I actually started crying when I was on the phone with their customer help rep and asked, Isnt there something that can be done? I was thinking to myself that two months after Christmas with three kids is a tough time to replace a 1300-dollar refrigerator. I offered to pay the 400 dollars to get the refrigerator fixed by a sanctioned Maytag official with their warranty, but that I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to call anyone else besides Maytag if my appliances broke down. I would have never called our small local guy if I had known that Maytag corporate had such a policy. She said that no, there was nothing that she could do, and that is what happens to customers who call a non-Maytag assigned repair person. I guess when this happens to your fridge, you ask your neighbors if they can keep some milk, lunch meat and cheese for you, at least until you can save up for another fridge. Thank goodness that dried pasta and Ragu sauce dont have to be refrigerated. There are also cans of peas and corn and dry cereal, so it should be okay.I cant express how absolutely disappointed I am with myself and with my purchase, and how this has soured me on everything Maytag. I feel like an idiot. Can you believe that I had actually scrimped and saved up for months to buy this Maytag refrigerator and the extended warranty (hah, just to be safe)? I had bought it because I thought Maytag was a reputable company and because it was supposed to help the environment with its energy saving technology. But dont you think that a $1300 refrigerator should last more than 7 years (Believe it or not, this newer Maytag fridge was replacing a 20-year-old fridge that I gave to my cousins and which is still running to this day!)? And to add insult to injury, I already had a major repair done 4 years ago on this same French door Maytag fridge when it was only 3 years old. Maytag should offer to come out and fix their mess, but all I received when I called Robin, the supervisor, at their Tennessee call center was a, Sorry, there is nothing that I can do and there is no one else that you can speak to, and Nope, there is no one at corporate that you can call for help either and I have no advice to offer you. I can give you a mailing address though, if you like. I think I did hear pity in her voice, so that was some comfort. Pity from a call center supervisor, think about that! How awful it must be for her if that is all that she can offer to the desperate people who look to her for guidance! I actually felt sorry for her after I hung up the phone. It must be terrible to know that the company that you work for is probably mistreating its customers and all that you can offer is an Im sorry. I wonder how often someone says a rosary for her and her workers taking on those endless calls for help. How often does she cry herself to sleep after a day of that?I really dont like complaining online and I rarely do it, but this experience was just so awful and hopeless that I feel I had to say something to save other people pain and money. I hope that everyone learns from my miserable Maytag mistakes and please pass on my experiences to all of your friends and family. Those big tax refund checks will be coming soon, and I know that a lot of people upgrade their appliances with that money. Please, please think twice before you buy anything Maytag. I would feel better if I knew that people could learn from my stupidity. Remarkably, I was once gullible enough to trust and believe in American-made Maytag - goodness, was I wrong to do that. The control panel and the electronic control box had to be replaced after only two years of use. It cost almost as much as a new dishwasher (492 dollars). The model of the Maytag dishwasher is MDB77479SBM3. This dishwasher looks good from the outside and runs quite but the electronics are cheap and cant stand heat without melting. My wife and I are retired and only used this washer about twice per week. It looks good, cost 650 bucks and it is a pile of junk. No more Maytag in our house. We had this machine installed in July of 2014... It crapped out in July of 2016.

We had our kitchen redone by Home Depot in Sept. 2006. It was gutted and all was replaced: walls, heat windows, doors, lights, appliances. The Maytag refrigerator stopped working 7 years later. I feel an expensive appliance should last longer than that.

I had a 1 1/2 yr old front load washer. I was worried the filter might have a lot of dog hair in it so I called to just have it looked out. I couldnt remember if I had an extended warranty. Thought it would be listed with Maytag. They said no. I said OK. They recommended A+ to come out and said it would be $60.00. That was OK because I wanted to prevent any problems with the washer in the future. I thought them checking it would be a preventative measure. The tech came out opened it up said there wasnt much hair or any other problems. Put it back together, plugged it in. There was a Big popping noise and smoke! Washer no longer worked. The man said doesnt make sense but he would fix it and not charge me for parts etc. I called Maytag. They refused to do anything since it was out of warranty even though they recommended this company and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it in the beginning.After about 2 months he still couldnt fix it. About this time I found papers for a warranty with the Home Depot. The repairman said he works with Home Depot as well. Told me to contact them but I needed to pay $120.00 to him and file a claim and then he would fix it. Apparently he does not do service work for Home Depot. They sent out other repairmen. They tried to fix it but apparently it was deemed unserviceable he blew the mother board. Home Depot said they would replace or reimburse me the amount I paid for washer. Then a machine called said they were sending me a check. We will probably never buy another Maytag! Even though I want to buy American if they wont help or stand behind their products. I now have an LG we bought from Pacific Sales with a cheaper warranty and much better customer service.

This is beyond one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made! It has been about 15 months since purchasing this dishwasher, and as of today it is not working! Blinking start button. I see from the hundreds of disappointed customer comments that I am not alone. With this many people complaining of the same issue, that Maytag should have a recall... I paid about $550. I get that quality does not supersede the almighty dollar, but come on!

Maytag model MBF1958XEQ1 frost build up and ice build up bottom freezer 2011 model. Recently refrigerator not able to stay cold. Contacted Associated Service Corp. because my fridge had a ten year warranty on the compressor only. It cost me $377 dollars to have a service tech change the circuit board and remove a rubber drain valve that was blocking the excess water drain to the evaporator tray. It is working well now but will keep looking for ice build up.

After the waranty ran out, oven failed to ignite. Called repairman who couldnt diagnose problem. Broiler works. Replaced some kind of wire & part for $350. Good for 6 months. Happening again. Paid a lot for this oven.

Our Maytag microwave, which we bought based on Maytags supposed quality, is nothing but a piece of junk. In two years it has had or needs repairs that nearly double the original cost! Thats ridiculous. We are done with Maytag and are not going to get suckered into their Whirlpool/KitchenAid or other brands. So long.

We had purchased a Maytag refrigerator from a local appliance store in May 2012. The fridge was delivered in June and come August 5, 2013, it does not work. First, the temperature of the refrigerator declined drastically causing us to lose over $500 worth of food. Items that were even unopened had to be thrown down the drain. The first call was made to Maytag customer service. They decided to send a technician. Great. The technician came and informed us that it was the refrigerant. WRONG. The second technician comes and states that the compressor is shot and that is why it is not staying cold. Time to order the compressor that is on back order. Shocking. Another week goes by without a fridge. Cut to the third technician who comes and installs the new compressor. Fridge is cool and at about 32 degrees for probably 4 hours. The food goes back in the fridge and the temperature climbs to 70 within minutes. Strike two. Contact Customer Service and demand answers on what can be done. Speak with the first representative named Melinda. If you get her good luck. She states she doesnt care and hangs up. Call back to speak with another representative who is very sweet and compassionate and tries her best to help. Unfortunately, she was unable to do so. Asked to speak with a supervisor and had the displeasure of speaking with Scott. For all the trouble that we have been going through, time wasted, food thrown away, Scott can offer $100. Yeah, okay, nice try. The more we speak with Scott, he ups the ante to $150 and the final offer of $200. I advised Scott that there is someone higher than him that needs to be involved after he told me that he was the highest I could go. Wrong again. Time goes by and nothing happens. We receive a call from Yvette ** that was missed and call her back in the corporate executive office. We have contacted her and left her 4 voice mails and the response has been nothing. Actually, calling her you get her message that she is not available. This is over the span of a week. Nothing. ANOTHER technician is sent to look at the fridge and what was supposed to be a brand new compressor that was installed and states that the fridge is condemned. Well isnt that lovely?! Of course because the parts are made in Brazil and Maytag is charged $15 for them and they charge the consumer $200. There is no reason why they should work. We got in touch with the appliance store who told us that we need to speak with Maytag to ask for our money back because we are NOT taking the same fridge as a replacement. Now, we are plagued with the appliance store not taking our calls, the corporate executives not taking our calls, and a $1300 stainless steel french door paperweight. With a call in to our attorney and the phone poised to be dialing our local news stations, I am not sure of what the next move for Maytag will be. Im sitting here after 21 days of not having a refrigerator hoping that a call and resolution comes soon. My family will NEVER EVER purchase a Maytag appliance again. I wouldnt even purchase Maytag brand toilet paper because Im sure that it would need to have one function and even that function as easy as it is would not work. People, please save yourself the headache and the money and the time of dealing with Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana. Their customer service does not care about you, their products are crap, and they will swindle you and leave you high and dry. I hope to have some good news about this issue but I can guarantee that nothing good is going to come of this, well, at least for Maytag. Get on your social media and let people know how TERRIBLE this company is. STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. Sorry Maytag, the buck stops here.

I paid $512.00. 5-09 Bob Millers Appliance replaced the door because it bubbled. 10-11 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 3-12 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 10-16 Door handle broke off again under normal wear and tear. 12/14/16 I went to Bob Millers Appliances and was told to contact Whirlpool. 12/16/16 I called Whirlpool, Tina said, yes it is excessive but it is not under warranty and they do not make the microwave any longer and they cant do anything to repair it and they can not fix the issue. I find it how to believe Im the only person who has had this issue. I dont have kids. Its only me that uses it.

Our new washing machine (Maytag Maxima XTLM Front Load Steam Washer & Dryer w/ Pedestals) has developed a loud knocking while running which the authorized whirlpool repair provider said was due to internal ball bearings. He said that the washing machine caused the pedestal to become warped and the only way to stop the knocking was to replace the pedestal. Whirlpool refuses to replace the pedestal saying that the pedestal must have come that way or was installed incorrectly or was overloaded. There are only two of us and we never overloaded at all. The knocking started several months after the installation. If the pedestal was defective (came that way), why wont Whirlpool replace it under their warranty?

After one year, this famous Neptune washing machine began to sound so noisy during the spin cycle that neighbors must have thought a 747 was taking off from our house. After researching the web, I found that the main bearing always fails in this machine and there is a new one-man repair industry started up across the US to just replace these bearings. In fact, someone invented a bearing puller just for this problem. I am deeply disappointed that a once fine company would knowingly put out such trash. I am replacing ours with another brand, even though we have used Maytag for 30 years. Customers always determine who wins and who loses in the long run. Bye, Maytag!

Good deal, recommended by dealer friend. Front loaders, high efficiency, 12 years or so. Finally needs new bearings on the washer. Replaced electronic board 5 years ago. High repair costs would be the worst which is related to low-quality construction. I expect my next pair to last as long as the last 1. Full size, not stackable but oversized drums. Relatively low water usage, lots of different settings for different loads for washing and drying, automatic water level and wrinkle guard.

Lid lock issue. 2 years old. I will never buy a Maytag, or any other Whirlpool brand for that matter. I am VERY disappointed. A service call will cost at least $200 dollars so why not just buy a new washer for that price. Also, I read that consumers should stay away from automatic water level washers. They never work right.

I wish that I had looked up reviews before purchasing my washer 6 months ago! No matter which setting I use, the washer never fills up with enough water!! I have pulled clothes out that havent even gotten wet, due to not enough water in machine! All due to the government regulated water levels on the sensors!!!! So, I had my plumber put in hot and cold water faucets, then he put a short Y hose on, so this way I can add water to the machine.... The only thing is, you have to wait for the machine to fill with what it thinks is enough water to get your load clean.... stop the washer, then add the water you need. But if it reaches a certain point, it will automatically start draining. So you have to watch and make sure you stop adding the water, before reaching that point!

Yesterday I was using my washer (small load of clothes), I was with my baby in the laundry room when suddenly there was a horrible noise and the door of the washer opened, he hit my back, something fatal could have happened. I do not know how it happened but a piece of concrete was inside the drum. I do not want to imagine what would have happened if that piece came out and hurt my baby. I spoke to the company and explained what had happened to me, but they do not want to be responsible for what happened because the washer is in Tijuana (border with San Diego), I bought the washer in Pirch San Diego California in 2015. Angie from WFCC-PREFERRED APPLIANCE REPAIR had the wiring harness delivered to her personal address and then came out and installed it that same afternoon past 5pm to ensure I had a working stove. She explained what had happened with the parts delivery mixups and also delivered a $100 gift card. Very happy to have my range working and all has turned out well. I am a long time Maytag customer and its great to have all my appliances back.

I had the washer repaired twice in January, once in April and again in August, the same repair wire coming out of harness. I had to pay a second time before Willie, the repairman, finally put a longer wire on the harness. Maytag told me they would send a new repairman after I called to complain. All 4 times, its been the same man and it cost me money. It seems like a bait and switch with the repairman. I called both A& E and Maytag. Both refused to refund the $129 second charge because it was more than 90 days. I say its been the same issue, repairman is a scam when they dont fix it right and charge again. I had another man there who knows about repairs and finally told the repairman to change out the wire or it wouldnt have been done this time either. I do want an attorney to contact me about this as this is wrong. Im going to file a complaint with BBB.

I purchased Maytag refrigerator (model # MSD2572VES). The fridge side stopped working. I was told that the vent/chute between the freezer and fridge ices up and prevents the cold air from the freezer to go through the fridge. The tech said that Maytag was sending him a tube of silicone to apply all around freezer and fridge and that this will probably fix the problem. So in other words, because of a design flaw, the refrigerator cannot function without adding silicone (maybe). I believe I purchased a lemon with a design flaw and they want me to accept a permanent band-aid as the solution. Shouldnt I have right to demand another model instead of having to accept a cheap alternative (silicone)? Now, if factory installed parts break off, can you imagine silicone tubed in after the fact where there was no silicone crevasse? I cant imagine it staying on - permanently.

We paid over 2000.00 for our refrigerator in May 2011 and within a year ice started forming on the bottom and then leaking out on to the floor. Every week I have to get out large beach towel to lay under the pull out drawer, break up the built up ice and then pull it out onto the towel. I too called Maytag who said it was out of warranty. Now today I notice a significant temperature drop in the refrigerator and freezer. Whats odd is that the day before yesterday the freezer was so cold the ice cream was solid as a rock. I have not changed the factory settings since it was installed. I HATE MAYTAG!!!

Brand new top of the line top loader washer. Lid locked mid cycle and couldn’t open it. Called Maytag. Sent a repairman out to fix. Three trips later, 5 parts, and over four months later, still broken. Unable to use washing machine. Been going to laundromat to do laundry. When speaking with Maytag, all you get is a sorry. Now I’m waiting on another part and then schedule another appointment to have guy come install. Maytag would rather replace every part, one at a time, than send a new washer. It is beyond ridiculous for a new washer to have to have all of its parts replaced. It’s a hunk of junk and Maytag will not stand by their product. Worthless company. Will NEVER buy another product from them. Their washer and their service is so far below standards, it’s criminal.

I am absolutely disgusted with this Maytag Bravos XL washer. Have owned it 6 months and cant wait to get rid of it. We live on a farm and have cattle. If jeans go in the machine with mud on them, they will come out with mud on them. I have tried soak, deep water wash, power wash. Nothing works. I might as well put a wash tub in my back yard and wash by hand. Anything black must be washed by itself as it will come out covered in lint. How did this machine ever go on the market? Expensive mistake. Please do not buy this machine.

I have a stainless steel dishwasher, model MDBH985AWS10. Its about 5 years old. The control panel works intermittently -- Ive replaced and ruled out the door latch -- now Ive got the problem narrowed down to either the control panel or the circuit board. Ive read about this diagnostic cycle I could run to try to help diagnose the problem. I emailed Maytag for the code and waited a week and didnt get a response.I called them today and they said they cant give me the code--they only give that to their technicians. My dishwasher is not brand new, but I paid good money for it, and Id prefer to not have to guess what to buy when Im trying to repair it. Each of these parts costs about $150. Im not sure what the policy is for other dishwasher manufacturers, but for the next washer I buy, Ill find a company that either 1) has more reliable products or 2) at least tries to help the customer repair his own equipment.

I am extremely unhappy. This is a terrible washer (Maytag washer MVWC565FW). I am so sorry I didnt buy a GE. Terrible loud noises, shakes and vibrates like a plane taking off. Funny smells as if something is burning. Repairman came 1 week after purchased and stated nothing was wrong. A huge waste of money, I HATE, HATE this horrible machine!!! Totally unsatisfied, I would never purchase anything with the Maytag name again!! Wish I could get my money back!

We trusted the Maytag name to give us a good product that would last. After six weeks the Maytag Bravo stopped working. Having to wait 7 days before a service repair person came to our home. The main motherboard needs replaced. So currently, we are still waiting for the part to arrive and have it installed. 2 weeks without a washer after spending 600.00 for a new washer. There is more problems also, this machine takes 1 hour to complete a single load of laundry. Plus it does not get the clothes clean and the rinse cycle does not get all the soap out of the clothes. Very unhappy with the Maytag Commercial Bravo. Will not buy another Maytag product. Save your money and get another brand. We plan to get this one fix and sell it.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial washer a few years ago. In my opinion it hasnt worked properly from the start. We went on the low end of price, because we spent a small fortune for GE products that broke after a year and a half. This Maytag hasnt been a much better experience. First it didnt drain and spin clothes, and I was told I was using too much soap. Cut back on the soap and it started working better and going through the full cycle but the clothes never felt or smelled fresh and clean. Now 2 1/2 years in, it doesnt complete the full cycle on its own, AND there is dirt in my washer after every load. My clothes come out with streaks of dirt on them. The picture below is of a pillow case I just took out of the wash! Ive cleaned the washer multiple times, but it doesnt drain properly so it doesnt help. Maytag charges a service fee just to come out and troubleshoot and charges you again to come and do the repair. Im running out of reputable companies these days with washers.

Wish I had reviewed Consumer Affairs reports. When our old Maytag stove required repairs we decided to upgrade old stove instead of putting money into old unit. Looks like a huge mistake. Not only was there a delay in receiving unit after placing order but oven will not preheat. Two weeks before Thanksgiving we were promised a working unit. Now we are only 2 days from Thanksgiving, 2 repair companies have been at home to repair. Requires new circuit board and a new regulator to repair and no promise we can obtain parts. Now I have to figure out how to feed my family for holiday. I am pretty well done and after reading other reports that they are better in junkyard I think I will try to make them take back this defective Model 8800 product. Sitting in our kitchen unusable for the holidays. Dont buy Maytag as customer service does not exist.

CWG3600AAS13 - I purchased this advertised as Double Oven. It is NOT - its an oven w/ broiler. The oven shuts off completely during cooking time and comes back on approx. 2-3 mins. This takes place often and loses heat. I have to adjust cooking times and oven temp to make up for the loss. This also happens when broiling. Needless to say it takes MUCH longer to broil anything. When I notified Maytag of this, they responded with it is an open door broiler. Are they serious? I have 2 dogs and 11 grandchildren - burn factor anyone? (P.S. It did not change anything.)

I purchased this Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB8949SBM on November 23, 2013 and installed dishwasher in late January after new cabinets/countertops were installed. After four months the control board failed. I live out in the country and Maytag does not pay for a repairman to make a special trip for repairs, so we had to wait 2 weeks when the repairman was in the area. We purchased this dishwasher on reviews which seemed pretty good, but never bothered to check on complaints of Maytag dishwashers. I can see most all complaints are the control panels failing. Well it is November 19th and the control panel has failed again. My wife said the lights blink and when she presses a wash cycle, a different wash cycle will light and blink. She will press the start button and nothing happens. You can bet I will call first thing in the morning as the warranty will expire in a few days and I will write the persons name down and the time that I talked being that Maytag seems to lose conversations with customers. I hope Maytag doesnt give me the runaround like may others on this site. I dont understand why Maytag doesnt correct this problem that they have known about for years.

Maytag Bravo model MVWB750WQO. Bought this washer in 2009 for 1300 thinking it would last at least 10 years! Wrong! I loved it until a few months ago when it started making VERY LOUD noises during final spins. Sounded like the house was going to take off. Then today it started leaking water. Repairman said it needed a drum, seal and gasket. Would have cost 700-800 to fix. Needless to say we bought a new washer today, and it wasnt a Maytag!! For that much money I was expecting the washer to last a long time!

I have to rewash many load of dark clothing because pale white smears appear on the clothing most times. Ive tried various cleaning methods to try to remove any residue that might be in the walls of the tub. Unfortunately, I cant afford to replace the Maytag white elephant model 500XWZ, serial C31430894. I no longer have the receipt. Buyer, beware. No Maytags in my future.

Bought a washer and dryer from Lowes in June of 2016. Have had service on the dryer 3X and washer 1X since. Two person household that uses product a couple times a week. Dryer drum stops rotating / temp control fails / buzzer doesnt work / motor freezes up / washer makes loud banging sound at the end of the cycle every time....sounds like someone is hitting it with a hammer....Today I want a local serviceman to replace the motor but Maytag insists that I have one of their reps come out next Tuesday to examine the product and then go from there. I have been on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get them to pay me $128 for the failed motor that I will send them for inspection. They will not cooperate. They are hiding behind some BS policy. I want to inform you all in case you are contemplating a Maytag purchase. I will not purchase nor will I recommend Maytag to anyone.

Faulty control board. Have owned a Maytag dishwasher model MDB6769PASI for 2.5 years. The unit started beeping at random times for about a week - then went dead! Sounds like other reported failures and it is unlikely repairs will be permanent! Never again Maytag.

Purchased in 2013, they have replaced the control panel twice in 2014 and AGAIN 2015, now WAITING for the replacement control panel AGAIN. Maytag claims there are no recalls on this dishwasher model number. But after reading all these reviews why is there not a recall. Maytag is of no help when you call. They claim as long as they keep replacing the control panel it still can be repaired. This can be extremely costly WHEN THE CONTROL CONSOLE PANEL keeps breaking. Obviously there is a major problem with this part and why is Maytag not recognizing this issue.

We purchased a Maytag Gemini gas range last year in April and the extended warranty. The ovens have not worked correctly since we bought it. I never do this type of thing, however, I am just disgusted! I am going to exercise my right as a consumer to express my customer dissatisfaction and share using the social network. I dislike Maytag and even dislike A&E factory service more! I have never experienced such bad service on a new appliance. What is even more concerning and the reason I am posting this warning is there appears to be no recourse! I googled search both companies and the first things that came up were complaint pages. How sad! Buyer beware! If you buy a new appliance, research the warranty provider. It appears that Maytag has laid off the Maytag repairman and went to a lost cost unskilled service provider! A&E repairman has no idea how to fix the oven. He replaced the part. 4 weeks later, came out and walked in the house and did not even look at anything and ordered the same part again. He told us he would be back the following Friday. He did not schedule an appointment. I called on Thursday before he was due to show on Friday and A&E told me I had no appointment scheduled. They told me to inspect the parts that were shipped. I told them I would not even know what I was looking at! They told me the repairman would be back out between 1-5PM on Friday. No one showed. At 2PM, I called and A&E said the repairman must be on his way because he did not call and say he wasnt coming. But again, he did not show! I made no less than 6 calls to A&E and Maytag after that! A&E would not escalate the situation to a supervisor and on call number 6, when I finally got to an advocate, they told me to call Maytag! I have taken 4 days off as vacation to be home for the repairs and this last day was the final straw. When I researched escalating paths for both companies on Google, the first thing that came up was whole pages dedicated to complaints for both companies!

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher in July 2013. In October 2014 it stopped working. None of the buttons on the control panel would light up. The service technician diagnosis was that it needs a new control panel at a cost of about $200.00. We chose not to do the repair since the technician recommended against it.

I purchased my Maytag MDB7749AWM2 dishwasher approximately 3 years ago. Since it was stainless inside and out I felt that I was making a long-lasting purchase. The handle on this particular model doesnt have a latch release button. You are actually just pulling the door open. That would be fine if they had used something besides plastic on the control panel cover where the handle is built into. The control panel is only held together with plastic pieces that the screws go into. After only a couple of years of pulling on this the plastic parts holding the screws have all broken causing my control panel to just flash. My husband is a maintenance engineer and upon taking the screws out couldnt believe with such a high quality machine that they had used plastic in the main place where they needed strength. The wiring was cut so short to the control panel that one of the plugs had come undone when the cover began separating. I only need the plastic cover because my control panel is working fine but of course you have to buy the entire control unit which is $150.I purchased Maytag because I thought they represented a reputable American company but I was very wrong. When I contacted Maytag about the problem they were very unconcerned and just gave me a link where I could purchase the part. When I told them it would be my last Maytag product they didnt even have a comment. Giving Made in America a bad name.

We upgraded and purchased a new Maytag Dishwasher Quiet Series 300 MDBH955AWQ to benefit our new kitchen remodel. Initially, the dishwasher worked great. I routinely insist on keeping the filters and interior clean as I was raised up believing that if you take care of your equipment, it will take care of you. Very shortly after purchase, there was a fire recall which was taken care of by Maytag and a third party contractor. Then as time went on, it continuously rendered out dishes with debris and food on them. Then it stopped working. It turned out the latch or door handle broke on the pivot point on the interior of the door. I got that replaced and everything was good again. Then about three months later, of course after warranty, it would not start or anything. I verified power and connections and nothing. I spent about $60 on JustAnswer for further advice and the answer was to replace the control board. After about $250 for a service call and $130 additional, it turned out the control board went out. I observed how it appeared to be a poor design due to the control board being exposed to all of the humidity and other moisture from within the dishwasher door. Then after that being fixed, about six months later, the door latch broke again. Its minor enough that you may not realize its broken until you open the door panel back up again. The plastic is breaking Im sure due to the heat and moisture, but its just minor enough that it will not make contact to indicate the door is closed. I got that replaced again for another $140. Four months of that getting fixed and Im getting the same result, no functionality at all from the control panel. In other words, the control board is out again!Ive spent almost as much in repairs that I have for the dishwasher in the first place. As many have stated before, why are we not getting quality products anymore? I went to the Maytag website to see if there were any other additional recalls for this dishwasher, and the recall site was down, so I called. The lady on the phone, as pleasant as she was, indicated that the recall for the heater coil was already performed, which I already knew. I asked, due to the other problems Ive had and money Ive spent, if there were any additional recalls, and of course the reply was no. Im used to staying with a reputable company and providing loyalty to that company for quality products and service, even if I have to spend more initially in order to spend less overall. Obviously, Maytag is now out of the question for future business or referrals. This dishwasher is getting replaced before I put one more dime into it.

1. can not get enough water in the Maytag machine to cover the clothes. 2. All of the clothes come out twisted. 3. After watching the machine wash the clothes I notice that agitator did not move all of the clothes down into the water, and that was probably because there was not enough water in the tub. 4. The machine gets out of balance easily and at that time the machine door is locked and you need to push the pause button and wait for it to unlock the door. 5. Its louder than my old Kenmore washer that we have had for 15 years.6. The Maytag dryer does not dry as fast as my old Kenmore dryer that we have had for 15 years.Bottom line is I would not buy another Maytag product. Do your homework.

This microwave doesnt rotate in use, it only goes back and forth...not as good! I believe the rotating type of microwaves heat your food more evenly, but it might just be a personal preference. I would NOT recommend this type of microwave.

I bought a Maytag Refrigerator (Model No. MFT2672AEM10; Serial No. K31503192) on 05/13/2013 at LOWES. On 07/27/2013 my son got hospitalized due to some kind of infection. He had fever and diarrhea that didnt go away. We didnt know what caused it. When my wife was cleaning the refrigerator, she noticed that the ice bin container had a rusty screw and metal plate. Why is the ice bin screw/metal plate rusting? We informed Maytag about this issue and they replaced the ice bin. Now, the replacement ice bin is rusty again. I sent an e-mail to the Maytag Customer Service Manager on 04/20/2015 and was told that its no longer covered by the warranty. I informed the manager that this is a defective/flawed design/rusting part from the beginning and Maytag should have REDESIGNED it when I informed them first hand and not just replaced it with the same defective/flawed/rusting part. I told the manager that this is a safety concern and Maytag needs to do something about it. The Customer Service Manager I talked to didnt want to do anything about it.

One month after warranty we had our first issue which cost us $380. Kinda my fault I was told by repair guy... My bra underwire came out during wash and destroyed the part we had to replace. Then a year later during spin cycle it sounds like an airplane taking off for about 10 minutes. Its so loud we cant even hear our TV! So guessing its bearings gone bad now? Which is a very difficult part to replace. And pricey. So guessing a new washer is in our future. We previously owned a Maytag washer and had it for 15 years and it still worked fine, we just wanted to upgrade. Big mistake! I wouldnt wish this washer on my enemies. I think the repair guys sets it to mess up when they do this reset thingy. Lol. Cause within a month of the renewed warranty we purchased was expired is when the 2nd issue began. I think the older washer are better because all this newer technology stuff is crap!! My advice do not buy Maytag Bravos series washer unless youve got lots of cash for repairs!!

I had a Maytag dishwasher for 17 years, and it has still worked fine when we moved to another state. At the end of 2010, I bought a new Maytag (1) because my old one performed so well and (2) we left it at our old house. Well, slightly over two years later, this piece of junk (Model MDB6709AWAQ1) needs almost $300 worth of repairs. The repairman said they are no longer made to last and have been that way since about the year 2000. All of the inner workings are run by electronics which only last about two years. I said, What happened; the Maytag repairman got tired of sitting around doing nothing? I would never ever purchase another Maytag dishwasher, or any other appliance made by them or Whirlpool which took over Maytag.

Okay, on March 2009, we bought this brand new microwave due to our major remodeling. We didnt move into the unit until February 2010, so the microwave was in its box for 11 months. After we moved in our condo, my husband and I had to travel for work for almost a year so our brand new microwave is very slightly, gently and barely used. Well, for the past 2 months, it had been acting up. Sometimes it heats, sometime it doesnt. For a 2 year old microwave, which we paid over $400, I would assume that it would last. It no longer heats up, so I called Maytag customer service to hear her tell me its not covered under the warranty and would cost $269 for repairs and there was nothing she can do for me unless I pay for a technician to come and repair it! No way, I swear it probably got used 5-10 times a month to heat up coffee for about a year. I am sure there are some major quality issues on this model because when I googled Maytag microwave, all I see is the same magnetic problems. I spoke to a group of my lawyers friends. It got noisier in time but not broken and still heats up just fine. This $400+ one lasted me only for several uses. Shame on Maytag, when I have time, I will be sure to write a complaint to the consumer department as well. I will dedicate my life in spreading the word out about their low quality product. Don’t buy Maytag unless you only plan to use it for a year or 2.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. The repair people that were sent to address the problem were great but the Maytag people did not care. I bought a new electric convection oven, the convection never worked. The repair people came out several times and checked and adjusted to try to fix the issues but the oven is totally inconsistent. Even the repair people thought I should have gotten a better response from Maytag! Maytag just said that I had a repair but not replace warranty - of course the warranty period is over now. I had trouble from the beginning, I would never buy another Maytag product. I thought that a company that supposedly has a great reputation would care more about their customer.

I have bought Maytag products for years. I have a white Maytag microwave that is about 3 years old. It was given to me at 1 yr. old by my sister-in-law when she decided to splurge and create her dream kitchen and went with stainless. The door handle broke in the first year. We glued it. It just recently completely fell off completely-snapping at both ends. I am calling Maytag and attempting to have it repaired. I am otherwise very pleased with this appliance. I have had other microwaves for many years without this happening. Im hoping they will agree to repair.

I purchased range in January of 2011. I have had the top replaced and still it looks bad. Every time I use a burner, even if boiling water, I need to use the razor scraper to clean the burner. I’m very dissatisfied. We used to say we would buy nothing but Maytag but not anymore. Tell anyone who will listen how much I hate this stove. Oven does not cook properly, burns most everything I bake no matter if I lower the temp and time!

I have always used Maytag products at home and work. I have never had a problem like this one. The front load washers have a manufacture default with the boot that allows mold to grow even when it is wiped out as instructed. I have contacted other people and they have the same problem. I will not or ever buy a front load Maytag again and could never recommend this product to anyone. I feel that the Maytag company should replace the boot with a different design; at no cost to the consumer! This machine was only a year old. I have no problem with the company I bought it from. They replaced the boot with a bill of $358.65.

Called Maytag. Was part of 2005 recall with Neptune Maytag washer. We did not realize it and now Maytag will not do anything. Now having dryer issues with a cracked drum. Called and there was no resolution or attempt to resolve.

Model MFT2776FE200 worst purchase of my life! We purchased the Maytag French Door Refrigerator last year. Within a few months, freezer failed and we had to have a retrofit done. Less than one year it has failed again. No refrig for over one month and still no parts. Hundreds of dollars of wasted food and I’m asked by Maytag Service if I have an extended Warranty. I didn’t realized that a new refrig needed to have an extended warranty. Will NEVER purchase another Maytag product again. We are devastated that spending 3k on a fridge means you might as well throw your money to the wind.

Rather than go through all the things I dont like about this washer, just read all the complaints because that is my complaints also: bearings, not enough water in tub, clothes not getting cleaned. Just check out the lint filter and see the gray and dirty lint after a load and you will see it doesnt clean the clothes. Now, the motherboard is kaput! Cycles are all screwed up. Cost is $386 for motherboard plus labor and I will not put one more cent in this piece of crap.Listening to the salesman and consumer reports on the best washer to buy. All they are concerned with is energy savings and believe me when I say that all energy savings products are a joke because you give up operating ability for the sake of energy savings-- true of refrigerators and washers, dryers, furnaces and the like. I will be buying an agitator washing machine. The saving on water are not enough to give up clean clothes.

Dual oven - one is a convection oven. Never used the bottom drawer so that was wasted on previous range. I purchased a white appliance to match my others. The white stove top is a pain. Too bad it wasnt black. I checked this model online and found a good price in the city. I contacted the local Home Depot and they did a price match less 10% - all a bonus. The ovens work great although I have not tried the self clean. I have read that similar models have problems related to the self clean feature - high heat and circuit boards. My plan is to have a fan directed at the top of the stove when I use it and the range hood fan going. The convection oven is great - hard to mess up a recipe with that. The dual ovens are truly a great feature - strongly recommend. The keep warm is great also - nice to have two things cooking at the same time. That being said - the bottom oven is low, but that is worth the extra cooking space.

Bought Bravos XL washer/dryer from Home Depot in November 2014; installed 12/8/14. First repair was in March 2015! Clean machine cycle quit working properly on 3rd attempt. Bearings were replaced, tub was replaced and main board was replaced all before May 2015. Wash load constantly becomes unbalanced if more than 3 bath towels are in the load or more than 2 pairs of jeans. Can not start a load of wash and leave home because the machine will start bouncing and rocking when unbalanced and will shut down after it tries to self-balance 3 times. You end up with a load of twisted up, totally wet mangled clothes. Maytag refused to replace the machine and Home Depot continues to sell this junk to unsuspecting buyers. Wish I had looked at reviews before I bought this model. Worst $1,200 Ive ever spent. I have always bought Maytag appliances--refrig, stove, dishwasher, microwave, other washers--but Maytag has lost me as a customer after this experience with them. Terrible design and poor customer service for not standing behind their products.

MY MAYTAG WASHER and DRYER ARE 17 YEARS OLD. THEY are FRONT LOADERS WHICH I THINK MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I BOUGHT MAYTAG because I had trouble with Whirlpool products that didnt go the test of time. The only problem I have with my washer is the mildew.

Maytag used to make a great laundry machine. The barrel of the Bravos XL machine is very deep, and it is difficult to reach the bottom of the machine to get clothes out. My biggest complaint is that the clothes dont get clean; there is not enough water filling the machine to clean the clothes. The clothes get wet, but there is no agitator, and the water isnt deep enough to suspend the dirt and wash it away, even on the deep wash setting. There is also a lot of lint left on the clothes that cant rinse off. Why is the barrel of the machine so deep if it only fills up 1/6 of the height? I had great hopes, but I really regret buying it.

We purchased a Maytag brand thinking it would be a quality long lasting machine. Wrong, the washer shakes from day one, We complained to Lowes, they brought out and installed a second unit, it does the same. The clothes dont get clean, sometimes you can see the blue HE Tide still on the clothes (sheets) after cycle is complete. Junk, waste of money, Ill never buy another Maytag product again. Dont waste your money on a Bravos Maytag top loading HE machine.

I bought a full Maytag kitchen in 2010 because like many others, I trusted the brand. However, before I knew it, the dishwasher broke down. I live in Canada so I get Whirlpool (owns Maytag) 2 year limited warranty. Thank God for that because I have had the repair guy come 7 times. Each time for the same problem (control board) and they have replaced a listed of parts with no success. I have asked them to honor their no lemon policy but am given excuses as to why someone has to come see it first before they can give me a new one. Once the service guy arrived he obviously has no idea about anything and just goes for the repair. Its so frustrating.I am fed up. It is completely unacceptable because now Im losing money staying home waiting for the repair guy. Maytag is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I only hope you see this before buying a Maytag product. Like many others here I use my dishwashers once a week. Now Im faced with a dilemma where I might have to purchase a new dishwasher as soon as my 2 year warranty runs out. My $700 went down the drain.

Bad decision, Purchased in 2013 a Bravos by Maytag. After 3 years, it sounds like a jet engine taking off. The bearing is failing, sad as Maytag advertises to be the best. In 35 years, this is our 4th washer, actually the 1st was a hand-me-down that lasted longer. Unfortunately, we thought spending more and believing that Maytag would last longer was a mistake. Cost to repair is over half of the cost, so we have elected to run to fail. Then replace the Maytag that should have lasted at least 10 years. Warning. Purchase at your own risk. DO NOT buy this machine or any by Maytag, could be the same results. Or it could be that they are manufactured under Lowes specifications. From all the complaints the Maytag repair technicians are working, not setting around as they advertise. Only blaming myself for the purchase.

After 18 months of use Our Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) has the same control panel problem as a lot of other user complaints. I wish I too had read the consumer reviews before my purchase. We will never buy another Whirlpool product!!

I have spent a lot of effort leveling my machine, and my wife balances the load very carefully, but 10 times during a cycle, it will start slamming the tub around, so loud you can hear it from the street. I, like others in this forum, thought I was buying the best washer in the market, and paid extra for the Maytag name. It sounds like from the other complaints, that my problem is just the tip of the iceberg. It will cost me $200 to replace the suspension rods. I wouldnt mind paying the money, if I thought it would fix my problem. After reading about all of the other problems with the Bravos, I might just cut my losses, and get a new one. What a waste of $1,000.

I purchased a gas range from Lowes - Maytag- Model #MGR8880AS in 2012. The range has been repaired on multiple occasions 11/2016; 3/2017; 5/2017. All three times they replaced the igniter and burner. On one occasion they replaced the computer board as well. (Each time they have informed me that this part was a recalled problem and under warranty). The stove is now out of warranty and having same issue. The stove fills with gas and the igniter does not ignite and does so intermittently. Maytag only wants to send repair company out at my expense. They need to replace the stove, because someone somewhere will die because of their product. I will purchase a new stove and not from Maytag. (All my appliances are Maytag). I also have a copy of my receipt and will provide if needed; I used my extended warranty through Lowes each time. I urge everyone not to purchase Maytag appliances.

I bought this electric dryer Bravos (Model# MEDB850YW0) in Nov. 2011. Since I bought it, its giving me the same problem - it doesnt want to turn on. Today is the 6th time that I have been calling the customer service to fix it. Yesterday, it just got fixed; and today, its not working again for the same problem. I asked them if they can give me a new one, since its not even over 1 year. But they said they will not replace it because it cant be fixed. But it is so ridiculous, and its wasting my time. This is so unfair. I paid $800.00 for this machine.

Maytag mod# MBF2258XE81, Ser# K04712605. 3 years old. At 6 months old, the drain plug clogged. Freezing water under pull out drawer of freezer, spilling onto kitchen floor. Fixed under warranty. 9 months later the same thing. I had to pay $190. Now, it has been happening for 6 months, and I use a spatula to lift the sheet of ice out. I have to do this every 10 days, or it leaks onto the floor, tile and rug in my kitchen. This is just wrong. I see I am not the only one. If Maytag does not fix this known problem, I guess I will get a new fridge. I had my last fridge for 21 years, never had problem. Thought I was upgrading.

3 months after we purchased our Maytag dishwasher in Jan 2014 (Sears) it broke. The service person told us that the ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL (START, CANCEL, WASH CYCLE SELECTIONS) was a common breakage issue and fixed it. It broke again around one year from our purchase date. Same issue, but kept working and not working. Finally we contacted Maytags customer service. Although courteous the only thing we were offered for this common Maytag issue was a $249.95 one year warranty for them to come and fix this recurring problem. I explained that we had already spent about $870 (including tax, delivery and installation) for our middle of the line dishwasher one and a half years ago and asked if they would consider either charging us for a smaller service call/repair or just do it because it seems to be a design and manufacturing issue. After one hour and no sympathy I had to pay the $249.95 to get a repair person out and be covered for one year from today. I dont trust the cheap quality and the lack of support for the product. THEY ARE OUT THERE TO SELL MORE INSURANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESNT MATTER!
