Its a good washer and has last many years. It has never broke down and never given me any problems. It does a good job cleaning so I like it very much. It has fit all of my problem since I have had this washer. It is strong and really does a good job cleaning my and my familys clothes so it has been good to me and has done its job good. The look of this washer is very nice. It sets up well and does not move. I like the way it looks and it fits all of the things around the house. It cost a little more than I thought it would but it has paid for itself many time over so I really can not complain about the price of this washer.

My 2 year old top washer sounds like a jet engine on spin cycle and is tearing small holes in my t-shirts. Now it stopped pumping water out of the drain cycle. I am done with Sears and their crappy quality. I was brought up on Sears. No wonder they are fighting for survival. Selling junk to cut corners for profit will eventually catch up with them.

I had this washer for probably too many years, and my clothes were always fresh and even large loads were cleaned throughout. It was streamlined in appearance. The white was crisp and clean and aesthetically appealing. But one day it just quit, and nothing could save it. My washer stopped draining water and emptying liquid detergent (which was okay, just pop in little detergent pods) after a few years of use, but until that point it was just fine. I paid a hefty amount for the set, under the assumption that it would be worth it with the warranty I had, however, it was too good to be true and that enormous price tag made a huge impact.

An absolute waste of time and money. We have been waiting for 5 weeks to have our expensive Kenmore Elite washing machine repaired after owning only 3 years. First Sears repair technician comes out, charges $89 to say he will have to replace the part (here for a total of 10 minutes.) We agree to order the part out of pocket since the washer is no longer under warranty. Had the part overnighted (additional out of pocket) and it takes over a week to get the repair technician back out to install. He is then unable to remove a nut to remove the old part and tells us that he cant put the new part in because hes not authorized to cut the nut off for fear of damaging the drum (here for 15 minutes this time). If we can cut it off ourselves, he said he would come back out and install the new part. My husband was able to cut if off and we scheduled another service, with the soonest date being a week later, specifically reminding them that this nut had to be cut off, and that it would have to be replaced. I was informed by customer service that they have no way of knowing which parts the repair technicians have in stock and that I cannot request that they have a certain part before they come out. Next scheduled service date, no one showed up, we called customer service and the technician called in sick. Rescheduled for today, again, the soonest date available that was a week after the last one, no one showed up again, called customer service again, technician will not come out because now they will have to order the nut that has been cut off. Meanwhile we have spent 5 weeks without a washing machine, and the part that needs to be replaced sitting on the floor of the laundry room. At this point, I just want my $89 refunded and I will hire someone else to fix my washing machine rather than deal with this crappy service any longer. Additionally, Ive spent 3 hours being passed back and forth between Kenmore (the brand) and LG (the manufacturer) and no one wants to take ownership of this washer because for the price of it originally, we should not even be in this position 3 years later having to fix it.

I have had this Kenmore Elite Top Load washer approximately 2 years. The washer cost was on the high side but I thought I deserved a nice washer since I wash a lot of clothes. Immediately I noticed that the clothes didnt appear to get as clean as with other washers Ive used. The washer was constantly getting out of balance. There was a recall and a gentleman came to my house and did something to the washer to prevent the unbalance issue. The washer still gets out of balance constantly and again my clothes are not getting as clean as with my other washers. I wish Id saved my money and bought an older washer with an agitator or possibly side loader. I am very, very, disappointed with my purchase and will NEVER purchase another Kenmore item again.

I have had this Kenmore washing machine for one year. It is now leaving residue on my clothes. When I called Sears for warranty service they refused to service the machine saying that, The machine works fine. You just need to wash ALL your clothes in hot water. When I explained to the representative that it has been working fine on cold until recently he said that it is not their problem and there is nothing they can do or rather will do.

I have been troubleshooting with this new washer since October of 2017 and I cant get it to clean my clothes. I have had a technician come out 2 times and they cant find any reason why it is leaving a white residue on my clothes, no error code are being indicated as well. I have called Sears and Kenmore asking for an exchange so I can get my clothes clean, that is why you buy a washer. I have spent countless hours talking to customer service only to hear, I will send out a technician to see if they can do a recalibration, clean the tub, now they are going to do a full diagnosis which means check the unit. I have spent up to 6 hours trying to get a load of clothes clean. I did a clean washer cycle then tried to washer the clothes without any detergent or softener and they still come out with this residue. I have tried the deep fill 2 rinse which makes the washer no more High Efficient in my eyes just to see, and nothing. I now have pictures and videos of me trying to clean my clothes and it is getting me nowhere. The warranty that Kenmore has in the book is 30 days from purchase. Who wants to think that they just spent over $700.00 for a washer that did not work so how can you go through the 5 pages of troubleshooting plus the 2 pages of the cycle guide in 30 days. The warranty they have is one year against defect in material or workmanship. I am not sure where the miscommunication is on my call, I keep saying over and over that this washer does not work therefore the workmanship. My first call was to Sears to see how great their customer service was going to be and wow I think I might know why they are slowly going out of business. I then got a hold of Kenmore which is really just Sears so again didnt go anywhere. At this point I have been told that I must have a technician come out to my residence a total of 8 times in order to have Sears/Kenmore consider letting me get a replacement. The technician just hooks up the machine and pushes the buttons and cleans the basin just to say, I cant find any issue but your clothes are still dirty with the white residue. What can I do to get help to exchange my 700 Series Kenmore washer? What is everyone else doing to get resolution through Kenmore? I dont have time to keep taking off work to come out to meet a technician that cant do anything.

Kenmore 600s series from Sears - This washer was highly recommended by be salesman. We paid more than we wanted but wanted a good quality washer. I regret ever buying this washer. We are a household of 7 and it is frustrating that the clothes do not even get wet when they are being washed and nothing ever smells clean. Please do your research before investing good money and not getting what you pay for.

I have owned my Kenmore Elite Oasis for four and one half years. The only reason why I had to purchase a new washer was because I lost my old one (a Maytag) when my basement flooded. I thought that purchasing a Kenmore would be a good idea. My parents always purchased Kenmores and never had problems. Boy, was I wrong! After the first year, my troubles began. I have had the bearing replaced 4 times, as well as the computer board and suspension rods. Thank goodness I purchase a master agreement plan each year, since all this had been covered. The icing in the cake happened 2 weeks ago, when again I was getting the UL code. The first repairman came out and replaced the rods and made some other adjustments. He leaves and I start a load, then get the F51 code! I angrily call back and of course had to make another appointment. I was told all they had to do was reset the computer. Repairman 2 comes out and tells me it is more than the computer, it is the bearing. So there goes week 2 with no washer, and another trip to the laundromat. I was then told that my machine qualifies for the lemon clause, and Sears would email me a replacement cost. They quoted me $830, so I just went out and bought a LG machine. Im done with Kenmore brands, they are junks. For all the money and service calls Sears has had to pay on this machine, they could have bought me four washers! It has been three aggravating years owning this machine, and I would not recommend an Oasis to anyone.

This is my second Kenmore washer (mod. 110). After five years with the first one, it started wrapping clothes around the agitator and tearing them. So we bought another one (mod. 110). After five months, it is doing the same thing.

We just purchased a Sears 500 series top loading washer. It does not get clothes clean. After washing whites, with bleach, towels used for baking with some chocolate batter stains did not get clean. Stains remained. The machine does not put enough water in the tub to get clothes clean. It does not agitate enough to get out spots. Autofill simply does a terrible job at assessing amount of water needed per load. There is no way for the consumer to add more water to a load. The machine fails on design and execution. If not buy this product.

It was a bit loud but nothing closing the door couldnt handle. I felt it was worth what I paid for it. This was a good device. I didnt have much trouble with it while it was in the house. It did a good job cleaning and needed little maintenance or repair work. I liked it although its a washer. Theyre only going to look so good so youre only going to care so much about it. I cant say I got it for appearances so it didnt really matter to me much on what it looked like. I would say this product was of good value to me for my needs. It lasted me well for a good few years and I found servicing was not frequent. I replaced it recently because I was redoing the kitchen.

I was not in the market for a high end, or fashionable looking washer with added features. I just wanted a washer that would allow me to wash my clothes and nothing else. Kenmore was the type of washing machine that was capable of regular to large loads of clothes without having the question or doubt in my mind to want to switch to another brand. I was able to do the normal washing that I was doing. Also, it was very reliable and needed no professional over to fix and broken parts that would cost me more than what I was willing to pay out of pocket expenses for. The price I paid was so inexpensive. If I had the money today I would buy me the same model and brand without worrying about how much it cost.

We purchased the Kenmore water/energy efficient washer and we wash on either room temperature or warm water. Laundry most of the time come out not as expected with unclean chocolate stains as an example. Also, we were told by Kenmore that we have to run the express cycle (Very hot water) with vinegar in the detergent pocket to remove residual detergent and to improve the washer ability to clean even normal day to day stains. We are not happy with our purchase. Another aspect that made us unhappy is the annual PM included in a 5 year warranty (paid extra) that often the subcontractor is sending washer-untrained technicians to perform the PM.

It not the best at getting clothes clean. Doesnt agitate well but it does save on water and soap. The spin cycle twists the clothes and wrinkles them. I had to repair the washer three times and I had to buy an extended warranty three times to help cover the breakdowns. Several other items have broken. The design is stylish and sleek looking. The see through top helps when the load is imbalanced. The locking lid is also helpful and the operating knobs nice too. The cost was on the high end compared to other brands and when compared to the problems and extra money I had to spend on warranties made this a bad value.

I purchased a new Calypso washing machine from Sears in 2003, and initially loved it. But after finding my clothes were not getting clean, they were smelling mildewed, and it finally broke altogether, I scheduled numerous repair appointments with Sears. Each time I found that my machine was broken again shortly thereafter. (By the way, Sears Service is another sad story, and I think once you purchase a repair and maintenance plan, you are last on their schedule.) After, much complaining and saying I was filing an action under the lemon law, they agreed to credit me the amount of purchase for a new washer.I bought the Kenmore HE4t with this credit in 2005. I have been able to reset some error messages, but today it just stopped working. Maybe I shouldnt be upset as I have gotten 8 years of service from it, but what upset me was, once again, that there was a recall for my Kenmore machine, and the problem I am having is a common one, with many complaints: it is not registering the door lock (F/dL). Decades ago, Sears was known for quality. I feel like all they make now is pretty crap that they charge a lot of money for.

The products are reliable. They are both 5 years old and I have not had any problems with them. We have a lot of dirty clothes with a family of 3 young boys and the appliances have held up great.

For the price, the performance is well worth the cost. Clothing and other wash loads come out extremely clean every single time and is always very consistent as well. Very consistent in how effective it is in washing everything from silks and cottons and jeans to towels and bedding. In all the years we have had it, it has had the power. This is a basic, no-frills washing machine. While it doesnt have all the knick knacks and features of other models, the price is right and the cleaning power and consistency is awesome. Almost feels like an absolute steel when talking about the functionality and power this base model has. Totally worth every penny and feel good spending money on it.

Washer does not rinse clothes completely. Takes 2 cycles to get the clothes completely rinsed and the soap out. Have adjusted the amount of soap used with the same results. Very disappointed with the Kenmore line.

The appearance of the washer is just a simple design with some options to choose your load of laundry, how hot or cold the water is needed, or how you want the laundry to wash your clothes (which is using a gentle setting or a rough setting). Although the washer has a lot of features included and does a lot of things to the laundry to make it fresh and clean, the appliance is too expensive. So I wish the price was lowered down so everyone could afford to buy this brand and model.

My top load Kenmore Elite Washing machine is 4 years old and has been rusting for the last 2 years. I finally decided to check into replacing the top and I found out it will cost over $350. This is absolutely ridiculous!! In 40 years I have NEVER had a washing machine rust! I will never buy a Kenmore product again!

It had a great look in the kitchen and everyone love it, family and friends of the family, my brother and sister too. We got it by paying on time at a rent Thru center back in the day. I really appreciate it and if I can afford one now I would get one. But I tell everyone about it. It was a good washing machine and it last a long time for 7 yrs. Me and my family use to wash all the time when my mother dont have time. We use to make sure that all the clothes was wash and clean and that everyone enjoy washing.

It cleans very good. Easy to work. Buttons are easy to press and Works really well. Very pleased. I have not had a problem. I wash clothes at least 3 times a week cause I have a newborn. Washes really good. Its small and fits right in the corner of the basement. I really like this model. Its lightweight. I can move it if I need to. I got this on sale but would of paid full price. Was not expensive at all. And it was worth every penny I paid for it. I really recommend this one.

Everything about this experience was the best. Our washing machine went out. We decided to go buy a whole new set at home depot. The staff found what we needed and wanted in less than 10 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and polite. He even got it delivered the next day... And moved old set to the curb. :) This set has lasted for at least five and a half years. I have had no problems. I keep the warranty updated after my last incident... But also because I love this set the best. It fits my family very well. The kids are even starting to learn.This had everything I needed for my needs and laundry room. Every setting had been used many times over. Never have had a garment ruined. Everything is still very easy to understand... Especially with the ever so handy instructions... Lol. The value was simply stellar. I questioned the excitement at first... But the more I researched, I found that I was getting a great deal. Nothing has gone wrong in the five years that we purchased the set.

Kenmore washer model # 21102010. Only lasted 5 years. After it stopped going to the next stage of washing, repairman states that 2 parts need replacing... $360.00... I will never buy a Kenmore appliance.

Beyond that I think that the sound is incredibly quiet and efficient. Id say that it is a very good piece of technology. My washer stopped at or before the Spin cycle on a normal wash load with a SD (suds detected) error. I ran through the rinse and spin hoping to finish the load, no luck. Then took all the clothes out to run a clean washer cycle. This did not help nudge the machine back into entering a spin cycle on my next attempt at a normal wash load.I called Sears at the number provided on the washer manual. The service agent scheduled a repair visit and stepped right into selling me a $479 per year home warranty agreement which would supposedly cover all appliances in my home no matter their age or condition and only charge me $60 per service visit. I declined the offer. I searched the Internet and happened to find out that my washer had a recall on it for the exact same problem(s). I called the recall line 800-659-7026 and the agent promptly ordered me a new control board and a free replacement service. The next week, the service technician left me saying that the machine is operating properly. After he left, I tried a wash and the washer failed to spin. The service technician arrived again next week after I reported this and now found that the main bearing/shaft had deteriorated and needed replacement at a cost of $354. He charged me $94 because I declined the repair (which he would have done the following week anyway). I decided to buy a new washer instead. The washer is about 7 years old and I think this is rather short life for the expensive appliance that it is. Sears appeared to solve my problem by selling me a warranty instead of taking care of my immediate concern. At $479 a year, I can buy a new major appliance every year and not have to wait for Sears approval or fine print. So to summarize: 1. The washer has a very short life, 2. Sears customer service is very poor.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience in my 66 years on this earth. Bought a new Kenmore washer which arrived damaged. Was told we had to report damage in 3 days and they would not do anything. Turned on the machine and it sounded like metal on metal grinding. Called Sears again and they sent out the repairman who says the bottom of the machine is crushed and missing a suspension rod and not worth repairing. Just trying to get service from Sears has been such a nightmare. I cannot imagine trying to get a replacement washing machine. What a goat rope this has been. I expect we will be buying a new washing machine and I guarantee you it will not be a Kenmore!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!!!

Washer Works great, large capacity, quiet. Excellent for all fabrics. Dryer large capacity great variety of settings for both. Does excellent job on large and small loads. Washer is toploading can easily pause to add clothes. Dryer front loader with the same capability.

Its a good size and works very good for many washes. It cleans well and not too big in size. I took the time to look for a washer that will last. It does the job by cleaning the first time really good. It can hold lots to clean which lessen the amount of washes. Overall I have been very happy with the overall quality. The appearance is ok. I mean its not too bulky and does not stick out of place. Easy to store in a area or any area for proper use. I think the color is good looking and seems to be lasting well. Sears Kenmore Oasis Washer - The drain pump failed and flooded my home ruining basement, ceiling and carpets.

Its quiet, dependable, energy-efficient and really works hard. Eight loads a week and it holds up. Does blankets, rugs, work clothes, coats, regular laundry. Works well with heavy loads too. For the price we paid, we have not had a repair bill. Its easy to use and clean. It can be moved easily, and with one person. I purchased a Kenmore front loader washing machine on 11 July 2019. The machine broke down on 24 December 2019. I called and they sent a repair tech on 27 December. Parts needed to be ordered. After waiting a few weeks I called to ask what the hold up was? I was told the parts were on back order and should arrive shortly. I called again after waiting another week. Told they didn’t have any idea when the parts would arrive. I called the warranty department and got the run around. Then I was told the part would arrive on 21 January. Nothing. When I called the warranty department on the 22 they told me either the part would arrive on 27 January or I was entitled to a new machine. Nothing.Called on 27 January. They informed me that they would send another technician out on 6 February for a second opinion. Ok. If he agrees my machine needs the part order and it is still on backlog I will get a new machine. This sounds very odd to me. Never heard of a second opinion. This is totally unprofessional and reflects on their company. All I wanted was my machine to work especially since it is one year warranty. They should bring that new machine out when the technician comes on 6 February. I have been without a washer for over 30 days. It will be 40 when the 2nd opinion technician arrives. This is beyond ridiculous.

Purchased this POS only 15 months ago. Now the washer is rusted out and different parts are worn from the use. How often do you use a washer?? There is no reason that this 700 series Kenmore washer should be worn out this early. I hope this company goes out of business.

Is reliable and dont have to worry about if clothes will be washed or not especially for big loads of clothing. Had it for a long time and doesnt disappoint. Looks clean and simple. Mechanically, the machine works fine. Design wise, the agitator does not do a very good job. As a result, a large load does not get agitated very well. I am often forced to split loads in order to get clothes clean.

Kenmore Series 500 Wash Machine: Bought this machine over a year ago after my old Kenmore wash machine died. In summary: Its A LEMON. Does not put in enough water to cover clothes, no matter what setting I use and I have had nothing but trouble with it. Ive had the repair service come out 3 times now and Sears will still not put in a new sensor even though the express setting doesnt work at all and the lid stays in lock mode from time to time. **I HAVE TO ADD WATER WITH A HOSE RUNNING FROM MY GARAGE SINK TO GET ENOUGH WATER INTO THE MACHINE TO PROPERLY WASH MY CLOTHES**. I figured this out when I first got the machine and my clothes smelled like I had just pulled them out of a dirty hamper after running them through the wash and dry. Advice? Save your money, do your research and buy and better machine.

Excellent washing machine. Many features with plenty of cycles. Had it for 11 years and have has no trouble. Never been serviced. Its an e machine which saves water and power. If it broke down today, I would buy another.

After only 2 years it... DIED! Bearing crapped out. Repairman stated all companies make appliances that die in 2-3 years or COST TOO MUCH to repair. There goes an $800 washer. I suggest paying double for a Speed Queen or Bosch or just buy the extended warranty and make the company pay for a new one when it fails!

This washer is quiet and very easy to clean. It works very well for a large family who does at least 8 loads of laundry per week. This works well for a family with multiple children who are getting into some type of mess. Handles large loads easily. No vibrations are present. Very affordable.

We purchased a Kenmore top-loading high efficiency clothes washing machine June 2013 in order to be more eco-friendly and save on the amount of water used. Although I always use the extra rinse to make sure any detergent is washed away, there has often been a white residue deposited on dark clothes. I use the HE All detergent. Over the plus year-and-a-half there has never been a problem with mold because I always leave the lid up and also sponge away any liquid left in the dispensing cups. What can I do about this white residue left on my dark clothes?

This Kenmore front loader really does an OK job, but it seems to hold water in the rubber rings on the door and even after cleaning and always leaving the door open when not in use it gives off an odor. Would not purchase it again.

The performance was awesome. It cleaned my clothes really well. It wasnt fancy which made it extremely easy for me to use and to teach my young son how to wash clothes. It was extremely reliable. I never had any issues with it ever. I was able to wash big loads which is a plus for me because I am so busy. The appearance was basic. I prefer the old style appliances compared to the newer ones that are hard to figure out. It was very easy to clean the inside and outside. It is not very pricey and gets the job done easily. It is worth every penny. I would recommend it to anyone who has a tight budget and wants a great product.

We bought our home in Loxahatchee Florida, with great joy and began furnishing and decorating. Because of limited space, we purchased the Kenmore Stacked Laundry Center, #61532. It is just my husband and I, so we do 3-4 loads of laundry per week. Just the other day, only 1 year and 9 months from our purchase of this brand new appliance, water started showing up on our laundry room floor. We check hoses, drain pipe, etc. and all are secure. So I call Sears for service and was told that the warranty is only for one year, so I would have to pay for repairs. Okay, how bad could it be??? Well, the technician came out and took one look at it and after hearing what we said was wrong, said oh, yea, this happens to these all the time, apparently Sears is peddling this appliance that has a transmission problem. And, worse, after spending $1,200 on the initial purchase, this would be $900 to fix!!! How shameful that Sears, a company that my mom worked for for 20+ years and my parents swore by the Kenmore brand is putting out a product that they KNOW is faulty and has not performed properly for any consumer. They wont credit us, they wont take it back, we are stuck with this monstrosity. We are tired of this kind of wanton callous concern for the end user. How is there not a recall on this item???

Works great. It fits all your loads in at once! Its efficient and gets the job done with multiple loads, and its energy-efficient. It saves time and money especially with a busy schedule. Its white, front loader, and fits in my pantry space. Not too big. Cost about $900.

I bought this washer in 2005 at a Sears outlet store. Now keep in mind I live alone so I dont do a lot of laundry, much below the average family, yet here I am 10 years later and somehow this thing is now not cycling through a wash load. Way to go Kenmore -- 10 years, thats it. Now I got to pay for a repair or buy ANOTHER one. Before I had this wash I had an old Kenmore washer that was 25 YEARS OLD and not one issue. I can tell you this, never again will I buy your crap. This is disgraceful and you can bet I will also pass my displeasure with Kenmore on social media every chance I get.

As mentioned in previous reviews, this washer leaves soapy residue on everything. I use a little bit of he laundry detergent and there is always residue on my dark clothes. There is no center post in this washing machine to stir things up. My sheets always end up knotting up in a ball and the machine wont spin because of the unevenly distributed weight of wet sheets. I dont like doing laundry but it is particularly frustrating to have to wash things over and over to get the residue out. How energy efficient is it if you have to wash things 3 times? It is also frustrating to try to complete my laundry for the day when I have to keep untangling things that have balled up. I would recommend a side loading machine as they are much better at moving things around.

This washer has never given me any issues and is very easy to use. It is standard size and capacity and the standard color white. I have had this washer for many years and will buy Kenmore appliances in the future. This washer has always worked as expected and never given me any major issues. I have had to on occasion replace a belt or what not but have not had any major issues with this appliance. It looks like every other washer that I have ever owned. Kenmore offers a good value as you get a high quality name brand product for a value price. The service at sears where you purchase it is also typically very good.

I usually do not like to read a long report so I will keep this short and sweet. I have had this washer for nearly 25 years, it has been as reliable as it can be!! I have never had to call for a repair person.

The washer was not the best that I have ever used. It did not clean cups or bowls well and after a year it started leaking. I was satisfied until the leaks started. Then I was very unhappy. I live in a three person household and it was fine. I would not recommend this for a big family. Small households the size is fine though. It was kind of ugly but then again so was my whole kitchen. It got dirty easily and was terrible display. I kind of hated it a lot. The washer was overpriced, undersized, and ugly as sin.

I called Sears because my washer is making holes in my clothing because the agitator does not sit flush at the bottom and the clothes get stuck and wrapped around it and it is difficult to unravel them. The strings also get entwined as well. This has been an ongoing problem since I had the machine. Noticing when I went online the Sears Elite Oasis has had ongoing problems as well as the one I just mentioned above. It is a lemon and should be replaced. They dont even sell this machine anymore. I guess thats telling me something. Sears wants to send a service man and charge me for something that clearly is a manufacturers defect. I said absolutely not. Please direct me as to how I can get them to replace or repair it without any cost to me. Thank you.

It has lasted me longer than any other washing machine. It washes my clothes very clean. I repaired it one time in fifteen years. I also use other things from Kenmore. I have told other family members about my experience with Kenmore.

It cleans well, lots of options to ensure delicates are clean, safe, and not destroyed. Wash only takes about 35 minutes, is fast and water efficient. Never had a breakdown, although the front panel came loose and cannot be reattached. And the washer squeaks when it runs, although it is in the basement so we dont notice much. Got it on sale. Got a good deal using a coupon and credit card. It was the deciding factor on which washer to buy. Dont buy at retail price, unless you are Scrooge McDuck rich (but then you can just pay somebody to wash your clothes).

I had bought very expensive towels and it took only washing them 4 times and they were shredding and falling apart. Then my washer frequently has uneven loads so often I will get frustrated and just go to the laundromat. I dont understand my parents have the same one and theirs does not do either one of these. Why???

Its a great machine. I really think it runs good and is one of the best machines Ive owned. I would tell my friends and family about it. Id get another if I need to buy one. Runs and washes great. Last a long time. Washes and rinses acceptable. Has different water levels. Different wash cycles. Fits in a small area. Looks good. Best washer I have ever used. Reliable, runs forever. I have had mine for over 20 years and it has not broken down even one time. Easy to set up, powerful. Appearance was a basic white, top loader, slot for soap in two places, easy to move if needed, not too big so it does not take up too much space. Nice. Considering how long I have been using the washer I say it was a great bargain, thought it was too pricey at first but when you are still using 20 years later it was a steal.

Bought the Kenmore Oasis Washing Machine, 110.270 and just like thousands of others on this board, my machine started showing an F1 error code. It also started shaking the house and sounded like a rocket taking off during the spin cycle. Just google Whirlpool bearing or Kenmore bearing and youll see many more issues just like mine. Turns out, Kenmore/Sears is doing a quiet recall of the control board. Theyll send a tech out to replace your control board. This procedure takes no more than 15 minutes to complete and the average homeowner could do it themselves in minutes. HOWEVER...What is not under quiet recall is the loud and unbearable rocket sound during the spin cycle. That fix will require that your bearings be replaced on your unit. Is the bearing failure caused by the bad control board? Im not an engineer so I dont know but if I read the 1000s of posts, you rarely see one without the other. So this is where the story gets interesting. According to Sears, Whirlpool offers a 10-year warranty on the Whirlpool tub of the washing machine. The Whirlpool tub hereto now includes the bearings and shaft. Well, guess what? Whirlpool started fielding so many complaints that they made a kit (separate from the tub) that allows technicians to replace the bearings separate from the tub. Guess what? That bearing kit is not covered by the 10-year warranty because its now considered separate from the tub. It will now cost the homeowner $160-180 for the bearing kit and approximately $150-$200 for the service. That equates to roughly $350++ to repair a part that is clearly a manufacturer defect. This defect is so popular that appliance shops have created videos on how to fix the machine yourself. There are many posts about the poor quality of the Whirlpool Cabrio and Kenmore Oasis washing machines - related to the bearing failure and the control board issues. I have lost complete confidence in both of these brands for how they have handled the issue. I will do my best to never purchase either brand in the future.

Ive had the Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer for about 5 years. Thought it was a great washer until after 2 years when I kept getting the F1 error code. Had that serviced and did fine for a while, now getting the LD error code (doesnt drain & spin). I have to unplug it and hit POWER... DRAIN & SPIN... START just about every load of wash. Getting serviced tomorrow. Unfortunately extended warranty wasnt purchased.

We bought a Kenmore Elite washer on February 17, 2011. It was delivered in March. I was very confident in Sears quality. We were surprised when four months later, the machine began making noise and vibrating badly during the spin cycle. We called Sears repair (machine is warranted). They said that a repair tech would be dispatched (for a new machine). The tech came out. The tech determined that a clutch was needed. He ordered the part to be delivered to our home. Two weeks later, the part came. We called and another tech was dispatched week later. The tech installed the part, but the machine continued the noise and vibration. The tech explained that the repair was the best he could do. A second appointment was scheduled. The tech did not show. I made three calls to finally be told that the tech was called off the route. What happened to the Sears we knew? If they sold a lemon (sometimes it happens), especially a $1,400.00 lemon, they would not hesitate to replace it to make the customers money and business count. Now it appears that Sears expects its customers to endure whatever inferior service they receive. Is this a proper way to treat customers?

Our Kenmore Elite Dishwasher purchased from Sears is less than 3 years old. Since the very beginning the door was very hard to open putting significant pressure on the flimsy plastic panel above the latch. It started to crack a year ago so we were very careful. However this week the plastic panel and latch just crumbled in our hands. Use of the machine is fairly low since there are only two people in the household. Seems unreasonable to pay for repair given such poor design.

I bought my washer somewhere around 2009. Two years ago, we had to have it serviced and again we are having it serviced and they cannot seem to find out what is wrong with it. Two different people came out and they got it working and when we went to wash clothes, it is back to getting the F35 code and SUDS. We have been using Pods for a long time now, but it is a piece of garbage. I would rather have a regular washer with the agitator, nothing with electronics. It is so not worth it. I spent thousands on this pair. It is so sad how they do consumers. They trick us and keep us spending money.

The appearance looks very modern and good-looking as well inside. The value of the machine had me thinking for a little bit if I should buy it. However, I did, and it went out much better than expected. If you are deciding to buy this, you might as well. Not going to lie, I had some doubts about using this. Purchased new Kenmore Elite Front Loading Washer in November 2013. Very loud and noisy. Cannot watch TV in the next room. When I wash heavy loads like 3 Large towels it stops in the middle of spin I guess unbalanced. I have to restart the spin. Does not make sense. I purchased the largest tub size they had. Top of the line. As far as the noise, when they delivered they never balanced and after reading the directions it says this is critical for the spin cycle and noise. I went and bought a 4 level and balanced the machine per instructions. Helped minimal but too extremely loud. Will never buy another Kenmore. It has leaked water about 4 or 5 times. I walk in the room and water on the floor. I called Sears for service and they advised to read the directions and you have to closely follow the type cloths you wash and the type cycle or it leaks. It you have KIDS DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. I am an Adult and I caused it to leak water 4 or 5 times in 7 months. If I had known this I would have never purchased this machine. I paid for a 5 year maintenance too so about $2,000 for a new washing machine that leaks water on my floor if I choose the wrong cycle for washing. Brilliant minds at Sears. You cannot make this stuff up!

It does not clean very well. It also stopped working multiple times. It leaked water consistently as well. Sometimes it would make very loud beating noises as it was spinning. It would work when it wanted to. About half of the time it would not work. It was always being repaired. It was not a very good machine. It looked like any other washer out there. But it was lacking in options to choose from. However, it did have the basics in order to get the job done. It did not cost any less than most other brands. I feel that if I had spent the same amount on another brand, that I would have a working machine.

My washing machine was showing UE and was remaining unbalanced during washing. I found the specific recall through their website for this repair. I called 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was told they would be here to fix my machine in 5 days between the hours of 8 a - 4 p. I stayed home from work. I called to check on the arrival of my repair man and was told they would be there the following week. I asked to be moved up, they replied they could not do that. I again stayed home today June 30, the date told to me a week ago. I called at 9:30 am for the arrival time. They said to call back at 10:30 am. I did. They said a technician would be here between 12:30 - 1:30. At 1:45, I called and they said the technician was sick and they cannot reschedule until July 3. We have five children getting ready to leave for camp and no washing machine! I have taken two days off work and I am beyond frustrated. I will never purchase a Kenmore or Sears product again. I would encourage others to purchase appliances from another company as well.

Rust forming around bleach dispenser. I feel this is poor workmanship on Kenmore part. However they coat the enamel finish on the frame into which the dispenser sits in 3 year should not start to rust! If untreated this will spread and spot rust marks will start appearing on clothes. There is no way to contact Kenmore directly. Everything reverts to sears. Who want to charge me $79.00 to come tell me there is rust but will put the 79.00 dollars towards my repair bill. This is poor customer service.

Purchased $779 Kenmore Elite Washer model #29272000 in April 2011. In April 2013 sent a letter directly to Sears to complain about the rust all around the bleach dispenser. Did not receive any response. Now, a year later, the rust is far worse. I know from reading online comments, this has been a problem for years and Sears didnt figure out how to stop it and continued to sell this faulty product. The problems with this machine do not end with the rust. We suffer daily with the brutal wash cycle that ruins clothes, does not wash jeans and blankets without the UE error requiring constant adjustment to get the loads done, and bleach residue dispensing when you dont want it to so darks are spotted with white spots.It is bothersome that this expensive appliance is such a sad example of Kenmore and the fact that even though they knew it was a mess, it still was sold for years without correcting any of the problems. I was a faithful Sears consumer and yet now have no interest in a future dealing with them. I want a washer that doesnt harm my clothes AND isnt rusting after only a few years.

The Washer works really great. Its fast, no noise, and works great. I would really recommend it to everyone. Its worth all the money. No other machine could work great like this. The reliability is really, really good, you have no idea. Its really great, probably the best I have ever had to be honest. The plain white color isnt really my thing. The washer was very nice while it lasted. But then once it stopped working it was past the fixing it point. I dont think I would recommend it after all is said and done. Looked great with other appliances in my home. I am a little dissatisfied because the washer didnt last long. It stopped working and would have cost an arm and a leg to fix. It is designed well. The finish and appearance look very good still, it has not deteriorated in all the time that I have had it. It still works and performs like it did when it was brand new, keeps my clothes clean, and the controls allow me to customize the wash exactly how I want it. Its definitely reliable, always works great, no repairs necessary and never breaks. They are well built, made out of strong materials, solid, and very durable. Its a fairly good money layout. Also, when its time to buy a new one, I can always sell the old one.

DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE WASHING MACHINES(Kenmore Elite )! Since the very first day we brought this piece of crap home, it has been nothing but frustrating! Its very rare when the cycle completes without it stopping because it is barely out of balance! I load the clothes as evenly as is humanly possible! Also, the clothes often come out NOT clean and sometimes have soap on them (I do NOT use too much). Prior to purchasing this washer, my husband and I talked to the salesman extensively about this washing machine to ensure that we were buying a decent one--obviously he had no clue. SUPER ANNOYING.Miss my old one, and miss the days of old when washing machines and appliances in general were well made, and made to last! I called the Sears company that sold me this, but they could care less that I am not satisfied in the slighted way! They said I load it wrong. REALLY!? DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND RESEARCH ONLINE. Kenmore Dishwasher machine does a great job. Comes from a well respected product line that has been around since my grandmother’s time and has never failed to perform its assigned with efficiency. This product line brings back fond recollections of the machines I used as a child. Handles reasonable loads, simple to use, load & clean. Reliable operation without an overabundance of functions that I neither use or need. Handles all the capacity I need in my day to day life with conservative use of water, soap and power. My main concern with any unit is that it easy to load, and handles the washing with as little trouble as possible. Easy to clean, with a spartan appearance that lends itself to my lifestyle and sensibilities. I especially like the clean lines and simple control features without an attempt at being overly stylish or trendy. Simplicity is my driving concern.

My Kenmore Calypso washing machine has been leaking water and I have been told there was a recall. I had placed my name on the recall but the only thing the technician did was come out and reset the programming, they did not do anything with the Calypso cycle itself. How can I get this issue resolved?

I purchased my Kenmore Energy-Star Top Load machine in 2003. It has worked as a champ throughout all these years & goodness knows how many loads. I recently had to make a small repair on the agitator, to replace the broken cam dogs. Thats it.. Shes is up & working again, to champion through many washes to come. I pray I will never need to replace her, as I love my washing machine♡ The repair gentleman Mark even commented, on the fact that my washing machine, is in such excellent condition. Just a minor hiccup but, he felt confident, she will work well for several years/washes to come :)

Older style top loader with agitator seems to hold up much longer and gets the job done well. Knowing clothes are clean the first time is more important than a high-efficiency machine that might not use enough water to actually get clothes clean without a second time. Smaller than most washers probably, but still able to get a large load of clothing or towels completely clean without seeming like it takes extra loads to get all the work done. Plain white with nothing too fancy or extra about it. Very simple and easy to operate, straightforward in appearance. Has knobs for everything, nothing with a touch button. Bought this almost 7.5 years ago for a great deal and have yet to have any problems with this machine. Cleaning the inside and flushing out the fabric softener dispenser is about all the maintenance thats been needed.

Sturdy enough to clean and dry my clothes while being gentle enough not to overdo them and ruin my clothes. Does the job with little hassle, easy to run and understand options. Very reliable. My clothes are washed/dried every time. Very dependable. Does an excellent job without fail. I never have to re wash as regularly as with other washers. Its very nice. White, mainstream look that is classic and goes with any home and room decor. Doesnt take up much space, and is very streamline and neat. For a name brand washer I find it a very good value. Kenmore is a name that has been around a long time and is tried and true, trusted. And still a great value compared to other brands.

Very reliable. We bought them several years ago and have had no problems and our clothes are very clean. They are also stackable and a great and very quiet space saver. When we bought them they at a very reasonable price and feel that they will last a very long time. We will definitely purchase Kenmore again when the time comes.

The washer does well. It has a nice capacity load and is a lot quieter than older models. You just have to make sure the lid is closed securely. I like the washer but had to replace the circuit board after just two years of washing, just hope this isnt a constant issue with it. If it is it might be cheaper to replace the washer. The washer is sleek. It fits well in any space you choose to place it. It really is stylish looking it is really different looking from older washers and others looking at it like it. As I bought the washer new I certainly did not expect to have problems with it after just two years of washing with it. I hope this problem doesnt persist.

I called about my Kenmore Elite HE5t Steam Washer. It keeps going into a SUD, then within a few minutes it goes into an F35 error. I talked with Sears and they told me the only thing they could do is send a repairman to my house to look at it. The cost is $129 plus the part. The part is a water level switch, it costs $85 dollars. It was on back order at the time I looked it up and I will have to wait one week for the part. When it came in, they then told me to call Whirpool. I did, they reconnected me to Sears. It was no surprise since it is an ongoing problem with this model and I have seen it on a few websites already, including this one. They need to recall this product.

The Kenmore top-loading, high efficiency, low water washer was purchased 8/15/10 for $550.79 plus 3-yr full warranty coverage for $169.99. July 3, 2014 the lid not locked icon signaled that the circuit board was fried. Circuit board, come on, this is a washing machine in a single family household with 3-5 loads per week and should last 14-15 years. A replacement circuit board is $400 plus labor. Do the math. Kenmore, I hope some hard-working attorney puts together a group to participate in a Class Action suit and sue you for manufacturing a washing machine engineered to fail. Have you no shame. Kenmore, you are not too big to fail. Heres to that attorney who brings you to your knees and stops you from fleecing American consumers.

I washed large loads of laundry at least three times a week. This washers endurance was incredible. Load after load it kept up for quite a few years and never tore any clothes or ruined them. This washer is very reliable. My husband works in a warehouse so we needed a washer that could handle all his grimy clothes but gentle enough for our daughters clothes and this washer was amazing at handling all aspects. Top load white washer with easy control settings for small, medium, large and heavy, light, or gentle load. Crisp white clean design and easy to fit into any regular sized laundry room. I got mine on sale which it practically was a steal. Very affordable for the everyday working adult. It looks like it would cost way more than it does. Amazing quality for a great price.

It was very dependable when I had it. I had no problems with it from what I recall. It worked at all times and cleaned the clothes well. It wasnt too noisy but it did its job. I would expect a hassle free product from Sears since the expectation is that it would be very reliable and competitively priced product.
