I just purchased a Kenmore Dishwasher Model 14012, and the posts that hold up the dinner plates, on the bottom rack, have been reduced in height an inch or so, and now the dinner plates flop over and do not stand up straight. I had a GE dishwasher before this changeover, and the same dinner plates were erect; it appears that Kenmore has decided to scrimp on these posts, and this way they can get an extra bottom rack every 20 or 30 racks that are made. All for profit!!! Customer service was NO HELP at all.

Its amazing, the best dishwasher I have ever owned and I definitely recommend to anyone. It is a must buy. My dishes are so clean and spotless every time. There isnt much to say about the size of this dishwasher. Its perfect. Not too big not too small. So much room for many dishes. Thats about all I can say about the size of this dishwasher. Its sleek and modern. It looks beautiful in the kitchen and easily matches other appliances. I cant say much more about the appearance of this dishwasher other than its amazing and I love it. This dishwasher is definitely worth what you pay for it. And also the warranty is worth getting too so if anything happens it will be taken care of, no problem. I definitely say this dishwasher has a great value.

Cleans the dishes as good as the high dollar washer without the price. I bought Home Cheapo dishwasher that lasted about a week after its warranty. I have always bought Kenmore before and will buy another if needed. This one is only 4 years old now.

The performance is very good. It cleans the dishes without spots or residue left over. The machine works well and we havent had any problems. The size is adequate. We can wash all of our dishes. Sometimes the tray for the silverware isnt enough but we have four kids who like to use spoons and forks. The appearance is nice. It flows with the rest of the kitchen. Looks modern and fits nicely into our kitchen cabinets. Doesnt look as if it is going to break. It is worth the money we paid. There are higher priced models but this one does the job and is affordable. It has also lasted so it has value in its longevity.

I really enjoy the option to either heat dry or air dry the dishes. I think that is a fantastic idea. I also enjoy the timer so I can load it at night and it will wash by itself right after breakfast even when Im not home! I would like a pre-soak option because as much as I do love the sprayers there are somethings I make need a soak. I would also love if it would hold a large quantity of soap and dispense itself. I have always loved Kenmore products because of the reliability. Also, the price is another reason. I spent a lot of time comparison shopping and always come back to Kenmore.

It works great. Cost effective. Only complaint is wheels come off at times. But the dishes come out clean and the drying is great. If you are on a budget it is a solid purchase. I am very happy with it. Nice size. Fits a lot of dishes, the top rack is very versatile. It can store different things and in different ways. The silverware caddy removes nice and easy too. I really did not get this model for the looks, it was the price compared to other dishwashers that made it attractive. It looks like a budget model, but it doesnt look bad by any means and fits the kitchen nicely. The job this dishwasher does at the price compared to other brands and models make it a best buy. If you want a dishwasher that is basic and does the job right, this is the way to go.

The Kenmore Dishwasher is easy to use and works well. Weve had it for a few years now and it still works great. It cleans the dishes with no problem. Very seldom do we have to re-wash the dishes when we pull them out. It is big enough that we can do a whole load from one regular size family meal, although we do have to wait a while in between if we have more dishes than room. It has a classic and smooth look. It can go in anyone’s kitchen in the end no matter what. It doesnt stand out but at the same time it gets noticed. The value wasnt so much that it broke the bank but we did have to save up for it and I do hope we dont have to buy a new one anytime soon as we couldnt afford that.

It is very quiet, gets the dishes clean and dries them without many spots. I like the flexibility of the two racks to accommodate wine glasses and pots and pans. This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever had. It has a smart wash cycle as well as the normal cycle, rinse and hold cycle and you can turn off the heated drying as well. It is not as large as some other dishwashers I have had but I understand that is because of the extra insulation to make it as quiet as it is. Mine is stainless steel and has all the buttons hidden on top of the lid. This makes it easy to see them without bending over.

Kenmore was the dishwasher that came in the home I was renting. I liked all the various settings that could be used with it. The dishes also always came out very clean and tidy. Sit around the campfire, kiddos, while I tell you a story. Once upon a time, my familys previous dishwasher bit the dust. It was old, and on its deathbed anyway. We go to Sears, to look at dishwashers. We find one that looks VERY promising. A couple of weeks later, we purchase it, and it takes my dad pretty ALL. THE. REST. OF. THE. DAY. to install it. It works like a charm for the next year or so. Then the middle rack starts losing a couple bolts, and gets all lopsided. It actually becomes hard to put stuff on the left side of it, and we can only put lightweight stuff on it now, because anything heavier would completely break it.For the next couple weeks, my dad has been trying to contact people from Sears, and from Kenmore, to get spare parts for it so he can fix it. The first order gives him parts, but for THE TOP RACK. The second order? Well, my dad is having a HECK of a time trying to get THAT one to show up. Oh, and its been ALMOST A MONTH since the first order. Yep. Now you might think that were just acting like entitled spoiled brats, but come on now. Why should it take almost a month and a half for us to get some spare parts so my dad can fix the dishwasher? Just, why? And so, Im only giving this two stars. Just two. You guys bring us the parts we ACTUALLY need, I might give it three more. Thanks for your time.

This dishwasher is awesome! It can get any dried food off of any dish we put in it! It fits cookie sheets, large bowls, we can put lots of plastic that we recycle in the top shelf and it cleans so well! I love this dishwasher! This dishwasher has lots of space so we can really fill it up! It holds at least 20 plates and a ton of silverware and cooking utensils. I use a lot of different dishes when I cook and this dishwasher can hold and clean all of them! This dishwasher Is beautiful. The front cleans very easily, but I wipe off with a wet washcloth then spray some window cleaner and wipe clean with paper towels and it looks brand new again! This dishwasher is very valuable I cant put a dollar sign on it. Since it cleans so well! It would be hard to replace with anything any better! I had tried Maytag and it didnt do such a good job. My sister recommended the Kenmore and I tried it and there was no looking back. My cousin tried a Whirlpool and within two months he bought a Kenmore also. I purchased another Kenmore when I needed a new one. The jet sprayers needs to be tweaked a little. It could clean the dishes on the top rack better. Although it dries the dishes good it could be at a higher temperature. I liked the way you didnt have to prewash the dishes. And the way it dried the dishes better than the Maytag I owned previously.

This washer was a very good one. It was strong enough to thoroughly clean the dishes and was quiet. I would recommend this as a good choice. I had no problem fitting in my dishes in this dishwasher. There was enough room to include my pots and pans and dishes at the same time. The machine fit in well with my decor and was easy to keep clean. It was the same color as my other appliances in my kitchen and I was very satisfied with the appearance. I previously had a Maytag which stopped working immediately after the warranty expired. When attempting to have it repaired, I was shocked to discover that the repair would cost more than purchasing another dishwasher. Thats when I purchased a Kenmore. It met all my needs. Im still using it and have had no problems in two years.

I re-piped the home in 2006 so I bought the best hot water heater available, a Kenmore 55 gal 12-year warranty. Sometime during 2010 the tank had a small leak. Sears Technician came out and said I could go pickup another tank at the local store in Ft. Myers, Florida. No problem. Trip to Lowes for a few parts then to Sears for a new tank then bam, it is installed.Sometime towards the end of February 2013 my wife said the tank was leaking on the floor. No big deal, I made 5 phone calls to 800-877-6420 just to setup the 1st tech appointment. A week later the Service-Technician came & said I had a cracked anode-rod, so he order another and rescheduled install appointment for 3/12/14, approximately 2-weeks later. Again no big deal, its a slowww leak somewhere on the top of the tank. But, on Saturday 3/8/14 the tank ruptured sometime in the night. I was awoke around 7:30 am by my neighbor telling me that water was flowing out of my garage and down the street. I shut off the main water valve and started calling the 800-877-6420 number again. Each time I called I was transferred to someone that could not help me. On the 3rd call someone recommended I called back 8:30-9:00 am, maybe the department was not open yet. At this point, I have been waiting for ~ 3 weeks for a hot-water-heater to be repaired. Where is the service? I wanted a Technician visit today but was given an appointment for Monday. I have a wife and 2 kids (6 y.o and 10 month) and it is winter in Florida. Yes its warm during the day. While the wife and I could survive without hot water the kids would not be so happy. Remember, I turned off the main-water-valve to stop the flood, so there is no water to flush toilets, dishes or laundry. The house was built in 1985. I have added valves now so we will be able to isolate the hot water heater in the future. Where is the service? With no water I went to Sears and bought another heater and installed it this Saturday.Service-Technician (very nice) came Monday 3/10/14 and confirmed ruptured tank and changed my $80. The Technician said I may have a faulty ground-wire so since I was paying him I asked him to check it. The wire turned out normal. Why do I need to pay? Whatever, paying $80 is worth getting my $500 back that I paid for the replacement on Saturday. Today is Tues 3/11/14 and I have not been contacted for my tank replacement. Where is the service? If I had not replaced the tank over the weekend we would still be without water (hot or cold). From what I can tell the service issues start with 1) the employees that answer the phones (it really takes more than 1 phone call for service?). 2) The lack of urgency to correct the problem (It takes weeks). 3) The lack of follow through on service. Im told this is season and this is the reason Sears is behind. I would suggest triage service calls.As a side note that is semi funny: When I bought the new hot-water-heater this Saturday I was asked if I wanted a Service protection plan. I declined stating that it takes Sears to long to fix such an important machine. We had to turn off the main-water-valve to the entire house. Where is the service. Think of it this way. Would you like to pay an extra $150.00 on top of the cost of the hot-water-heater and wait 3 plus weeks for service?

As a family that used to have to wash dishes by hand we find the performance of this dishwasher to be excellent. It is used multiple times per day and cuts down time in the kitchen. The size of this dishwasher is perfect. There is always more than enough room to fit any dishes we have used for the last day or two, and plenty of room left over. I really like the black appearance of the dishwasher. It makes the kitchen look more modern and goes well with the other black/silver appliances. The real value of this product comes from the time we save having to spend in the kitchen. We already got it at a great price, and the time we save makes it a great value.

I know someone that has a Kenmore dishwasher and they are pleased. I also read a lot of online reviews and looked at the features and prices. Then I checked the dishwasher out in person and it seemed to be a great product as well. I like the overall quality and the effectiveness of cleaning the dishes. Also is low volume so I can run it day and night without disturbing my household. Low energy cost and good warranty as well. Its always been consistent and worth the price I paid for it. Wife is happy with it as well.

I like the overall design of the dishwasher! When it was used it cleaned perfectly and there was so much space. It had many different functions you could use. It was also economical and saved water. The only thing I would improve would be the amount of time it took to wash the dishes seemed to take awhile. Overall its been great. If I had to choose to buy another I would probably buy the same one again.

In the 20 years or so we have had this Kenmore; it came with the house we owned. The Kenmore we used maybe a dozen times over 20 years. In those dozen times the Kenmore worked OK I guess but we prefer to wash our dishes when we dirty them and not wait until we have a dishwasher full of dishes. That being said an unused dishwasher is great for storing bulky items like chips in, so other valuable cabinet space can be used for other things.

This is the second Kenmore product I have bought that has not even lasted 5 years. This dishwasher stopped heating up for washing and drying. The repairman said it would cost $380 to repair as the control board needs to be replaced. I saw there is a recall related to the control board on Kenmore dishwashers but my model is not on the list. I will never by Kenmore products again. Model number 665.13262K113.

Cleans well, adequate top rack positions, 1 to 9 hours delay start, adequately quiet, very durable. My dishwasher is about 14 years old. My racks are beginning to rust. Higher model has rust proof racks.

I love my dishwasher. Its the greatest thing since slice bread. With all its bells and whistles how can there be anything nicer than that. In the future I would definitely buy another Kenmore product like the one I have now. Just fantastic!

The storage space of the dishwasher is great and allows for ample quality of wash. I was able to almost all my dish sizes in the appliance. My Crock-pot was the only problem I had fitting in the appliance but with a little push I fit it on the bottom rack. Dishwasher allows for many different washing options and wash cycles worked well when used. Had problems with opening and closing it and it wouldnt latch very well when closed but dishwasher is easy enough to use. I like the color of the dishwasher and inside color goes well with outside color. I also like that buttons are not noticeable. The handle is also very appealing to the eye. Had machine for some time now and its value is great.

The dishwasher work fine with minimal hardware issues, but the power arm broke one time. We got rid of it when we redid the kitchen and upgrade to a stainless steel version. It look good and held up really well through heavy use in a busy kitchen. I didnt really like the opener but it work well and never leaked. However, it wasnt quite big enough to hold a full day worth of dishes for a family of 5. The glass rack was especially small and the plate rack didnt accommodate enough small plates. Its well worth the price especially on sale and I recommend the extended maintenance agreement. Not worrying about the unit breaking is priceless when you have a pile of kid.

Kenmore appliances are fantastic. Great quality that always work and clean my dishes to perfection. Would recommend to anyone. The way that my dishes come out after being washed is like diamonds. Kenmore are just an overall great brand.

I bought a Kenmore Elite dishwasher from Sears approximately 5 years ago. The dishwasher just caught on fire this evening. I was lucky that I was home. The whole control panel was sending out smoke, flames, and electrical sparks. I would like to know if there is a recall on this model. No damage was done to my house or kitchen, since I was home and was there in time to shut down the circuit breakers. the Model #655,16052400 Ser FR3702473 type 577-0.

It was inexpensive but worked for a long time. It got the dishes clean without having to scrap and hand wash first. It wasnt super loud which was nice. I didnt have any problems with it. We just moved and didnt need it at the new house. It was large enough for a growing family of five including disinfecting bottles and sippy cups. We even washed pots and pans sometimes in it. It was nice and clean, very neutral. It went well with the small kitchen. And the inside stayed clean, I have had some rust out on the inside, but this one held up. I thought it was a really good buy for the price. It was one of the less expensive models but seemed to last a really long time. I would buy one again.

My dishes are clean when they come out. I was afraid that there would be food residues and other stains, but that did not happened. It has a great number of water jets that get the dishes wash at every angle. Its just the right size, plenty of space inside to fit large plates and pots and pans. The bottom shelves makes it easy to wash large baking sheets and the separators help organize and allow you to fit many dishes in there. It had a very advanced top of the line sleek look that do not disappoint. It looks more like a work of art than a dishwasher. I felt like I bought something straight from the future. What I got for the price I got was not bad. I expect it will last me a long time and work hard for my family. The price couldve been less which would have been awesome. But I got what I paid for.

This dishwasher is beautiful. I love the accent color it gives to my kitchen although there were other option available. I chose this one because I thought it was pretty. I have a family of 6 and this 24dishwasher by Kenmore is perfect. Fits all my dishes after one sitting and cleans them thoroughly. The performance is amazing. Most of the time Im just rinsing and putting inside the washer. No real hard work for. The value is definitely worth it. I believe if you want the best you have to pay for it. I would definitely recommend.

The dishwasher was the perfect size for me and my kitchen which still works great from the same spot for years. The appearance has always gone with the different designs over the years. I have received many compliments about the dishwasher. It never had to be repaired. Its easy to use and when it breaks down I will buy the same brand because I was so pleased. This model is an 2002 Kenmore Elite dishwasher. Still works OK. Needs to be replaced but very dependable. Will look at another Kenmore, or Whirlpool.

Is a very practical machine. You only have to do is program the dishwasher and wait 30 min and thats it. Your dish come always clean and dry. The machine fits me very well because I have a smaller space and I like it very much. I think is a good machine for me, because my house require a small space. Its no a luxury dishwasher but its good enough for me, because combines perfectly in my kitchen. The machine its not expensive device. I found it in a good value, and I just feel very happy to bought in a very good price. I will recommended to my friends.

The first wash brought my utensils and dishes back to life - everything was clean and shiny. It is a great machine for the price we paid. Have had this for about a year now, no complaints or problems with it. Size is perfect for my household. Although there was absolutely nothing wrong with our dishwasher, we decided to get the one that matched our other appliances. We werent sorry! This is an excellent appliance. Its quite running and does a great job of cleaning the dishes. Its easy to operate.

It worked pretty good. I always rinse before I set them in though. So I didnt really try it full potential. It work fast as well but I hate the drying spot on dishes though. It was the average size dishwasher that comes in a typical apartment. I could fit the day worth of dishes in there so it worked for me. But Im single living alone so I would recommend something larger for family. It had a nice appearance. It did blend well kitchen scenery and the rest of kitchen appliances. Sleek and modern would be the best words to describe it. I feel like I got the money out of it. I did not have any maintenance issues with it. It was easy to maintain. I really love this fridge. The double doors make it very easy to grab and put away groceries. Not to mention all the space for larger dishes and groceries. The freezer part is very deep so you’re about to put a lot of stuff in.

This dishwasher is very small, can fit almost anywhere. But the inside has enough space for a good sink full of dishes for those that like to rinse and go. No need to remove countertops. It can be hooked up under the sink. There arent many buttons, so it is simple and easy to use. Great for set it and forget it. No need to wipe dry, the dishes are spotless when the wash cycle is over. When it was running it was silent unlike most dishwashers, the dishes were clean. The dry time wasnt long. I really like the safety lock during the wash cycle. The value is very worth it, not over priced. Good size inside and out. It comes in white that goes with everything. When having a dinner party people can rinse their dish, leave it in the dishwasher. Turning it on during movie night is no interruption, it is a silent wash.

Worst dishwasher I ever owned. Doesn’t clean, always have to clean spray wand jets out. The detergent door gasket slid out within the first week. Being that I’m a professional plumber, I would not buy Kenmore anymore and further would not call to have any repairs attempted being it’s not worth the time, aggravation on listing to a “ tech” explain to me that things are not warrantied or listen to opinions that make no sense. Garbage brand.

I like it, works great. Had it for 2 years and 6 months. I got new dishwasher when I got this house, has a whole of settings. I used it maybe twice a week. I think you will like it. The size is great, I measurement the hole from where the old dishwasher was out and it fits perfectly. It looks great, stainless steel is my favorite. My whole kitchen is stainless steel, looks great with everything. Definitely will recommend this product. Happy customer. I got a great deal. This dishwasher has served me and my family well for 2 years and it still has room in the tank left to be the most efficient dishwasher you can have. The holding space is amazing and its good for those very big dinners. I mostly pile on my large objects on top of the smaller one so that everything will be clean. The dishwasher has a neutral color to it. Great for home projects that dont need much color or depth into it. The holding space is whitish/grayish look as well. It has saved me a pretty penny whenever the soap is running over. Power/Cost efficient so you dont have to worry about your bill rising.

Its really good, runs very well, cleans all my dishes. Never really had any problems or any time where the dishes were not clean otherwise everything has been pretty good about it. I am able to fit a lot of dishes in it, but I also dont want to overfill it because then Im afraid some of the dishes wont come out clean. Fits nicely in my kitchen and matches the rest of my stuff in the kitchen. Its really nice. It has stainless steel, makes some music noise when the wash is done with the dishes. It has been running for a really long time without any issues. We use it as an overflow fridge from our main fridge now. It is super spacious and weve never had a problem with it. It holds main dishes but it also holds a lot of leftovers and larger food items. Its pretty but not too big. It just kind of looks like an old fridge. There isnt anything exciting about it. Over the years, the white has gotten really dirty and it looks very dated now. We dont keep it in a main room or entertaining room, just hidden. It has lasted a super long time now so I would recommend it for that reason. Its good.

Easy to clean inside and out. Mine was white and the surface was very easy to keep clean. No fingerprints. Just wiped it down with a soapy towel and dried it off. I ran it empty to clean the inside. After comparing prices and brands, the Kenmore stood out as the best value. I could fit a day’s worth of dishes into the dishwasher. Keep in mind that I have a household of five. I could clean things like platters, large and small dishes. I really liked how the dishwasher looked. It was beautiful and fit into the look of my kitchen very well. I loved the black color. IT matched my modern kitchen and black marble counter top. I bought a Kenmore dishwasher approximately 5 years ago. I have had to repair the same problem twice within the last two years and the same problem just occurred again! The soap dispenser door stops opening and it has been burnt on the back of the dispenser unit and the motherboard has burn marks where the dispenser plugs into it. This is the same problem three times now. Ive now spent over a thousand dollars to repair a $400 dishwasher! This third time I was done repairing it out of my pocket so I called the 18004MYHOME number and spoke with a rude alleged customer service representative. I explained my frustrations and acknowledged it wasnt his fault but was hoping Kenmore could repair it for me or offer a discount to buy another Kenmore dishwasher even though I really didnt want to. The guy kept repeating the same things and saying I cant get it repaired for free with a smug tone. I then stated that I have had no problem paying over a thousand dollars at this point just dont feel its right for me to pay again. And said Im buying a new dishwasher and was hoping you could offer anything to make me want to buy Kenmore again. He continued to have an attitude and I asked for a supervisor, he muted me and I kept asking for him to give me his name and transfer me to a supervisor and he hung up on me. I was on a landline so not a random disconnect. Also he had muted me several times throughout the call and would come back on. He was extremely rude and basically I will never want to be a Kenmore customer again. If you cant stand behind your product and realize that after three times of the same thing happening thats not a problem with the product then have customer service agents act disrespectful, rude and hang up on you, then I would recommend anyone to stay away from this company.

When youre raising a brood of boys that eat constantly, your Kenmore dishwasher never stops running! Keeping my dinnerware spotless for years too! I cook almost every meal at home for 4 people. I load breakfast, lunch AND dinner dishes throughout the day/evening with a little room to spare for a midnight snack. THEN, I turn it on before bed, ready for the next days meal. Wash, rinse, repeat! Dependable and reliable. Until the day I moved out of our 18 year residency of our first home, our Kenmore dishwasher kept the appearance of new! I hated to leave her behind! Any brand dishwasher, (Kenmore) that can last 18+ years IS A GREAT VALUE! My ex still lives in that home, my son recently out of the service, moved back in. In 2016 I purchased a Kenmore Elite 14793 Dishwasher based on years of experience with Kenmore (I have purchased washer and dryers, and refrigerators from them) and never had a issue. 4 months ago, during a load of dishes started drying, I could suddenly smell smoke and plastic burning. Upon inspecting the dishwasher, I found a wheel had fallen off the lower rack and melted and was burning on the heating element. I cleaned the mess up the best I could and saw that the wheels were held onto the rack with a small plastic piece. I contacted Sears parts department and ordered the replacement wheels (one set of two on a plastic mount). The woman I talked to on the phone told me that she had just had another call for the same thing and had other calls on this as well. No good. They know there is a problem and wont correct it. The cost for the wheel assembly was more than $50 with shipping.When I went to remove the rack and replace the old wheel assembly, three more wheels fell off. The small plastic bushing that holds the wheels on were all shrunken and cracked. Obviously they were very cheap and not meant to be used in such a hot environment. Kenmore advised that since there has been no recall and its not under warranty that there is nothing they can do but sell me the parts to fix it. Why would I buy $200 in parts that will not last 3 years. This company no longer produces quality dishwashers and will not stand behind obvious defective parts.

Works great, a lot better than hand washing. Dont need to prewash before washing in dishwasher. I would recommend to anyone who wants a efficient way to do dishes without hand washing. The size is good, I can usually fit a full sink load plus pans and silverware all in one load, and they come clean! I would recommend to anyone, with a big family to feed and lots of dishes. I like the appearance. I like the black, fits in with the flow of the kitchen, goes with most any kitchens styles and colors. Its just great overall. Its pretty much worth what you pay for it. Its a great dishwasher. Overall Im very satisfied with it and I would highly recommend it to anyone that may need to buy one. My dishwasher came pre-installed when I moved into my house so I didnt have the choice of picking one out. But I was still happy overall with the choice the owner went with. My dishwasher seems small to me for my family of 5 people. I wish it was honestly bigger it doesnt seem to hold much. So a lot of times I just wash the dishes by hand if there is a lot of them. The appearance is nice and the buttons on the outside are very easy to use. I thought it would be difficult figuring it out as this is only the 2nd dishwasher Ive ever owned before. Theres nothing special about the appearance and would fit into any kitchen decor that does not require a high tech modern look. Appearance is comparable to other dishwasher units in its class. Size of the unit allows it to fit into most, if not all under the counter openings in most modern kitchens. Plenty of room to connect hoses and drains, and should not pose a problem during most installations. Normal wash cycle gets the job done if no caked on messes on dishes. Nothing great about this dishwasher, but it does the job for a reasonable price. Mid priced dishwasher unit that provides all of the required dishwashing functions. Even repairs and maintenance can be done at a reasonable price so the overall value is good.

The dishwasher is very good. The only thing is I found dishes need to be rinsed off quite well before being washed. But using a strong cleaner helped. The dishwasher is a perfect size for a small family. Even cooking larger meals the dishwasher can hold everything just fine. No complaints about the size. Although not a fan of black appliances, this dishwasher can look appealing in most any kitchen. Easy to clean and looks classy. Stainless would be better however. For how well the dishwasher works and cleans, it is priced well. Could be a little less but since it is pretty powerful, its priced at a good value.

I am an owner of the Kenmore Elite dishwasher that I have bought in 2004 (8 years ago) from Sears Canada (model 666.16462300; SER FR1509082). Ive been told that the dishwasher was made by Whirlpool. It has been a good dishwasher aside that the door was noisy. Last night when I turned it on there was a black smoke with smell of burned rubber and flames coming out from the top of the door and one can see sparks behind the buttons as well. I just want owners of the same dishwasher be aware of the potential fire hazard. If we weren’t home when it happened, we could have lost our house. Multiple times I have tried to contact both Sears and Whirlpool to file a complaint and to ensure a follow up, but nobody is interested to come and look at the dishwasher to establish what the issue was unless Im willing to pay for it. I dont care about repairing the old one. I just want my dishwasher incident investigated for safety of other consumers.

My dishes come out very clean and sanitized. The dishwasher holds a nice sized load and it does not have to be loaded perfectly. Its energy efficient and runs quietly. Its a little small, but I can still fit all my dishes in easily. I dont put pots or large pans in the dishwasher so there is enough room for dishes and glassware. If I try to overload it, the dishes dont get clean. This is a very basic looking dishwasher so it does not have much appeal. However its simplicity allows it to blend in with the surrounding decor easily. It would be nice if it had a handle across the front instead of just a dial. Its reputation alone makes it a great value. You do not get all of the bells and whistles with this one but you get a reliable dishwasher that does a great job.

It has met the expectations of what I need to get done. It has adjustable racks and power wave technology to get the dishes 80% cleaner. It is a much quieter dishwasher than most, on 50 decibels. It also has 12 place settings room. It is an efficient machine and I enjoy having it. I like the dishwasher but would have liked it better in black. I do not like the stainless steel background. To me it uses a lot, and I mean a lot of water. It takes too long to wash a load after dinner and drying them after washing them takes a while.

My old old Kenmore dishwasher bit the dust and I decided to buy another....knowing full well there are only actually about 3 companies that manufacture dishwashers and Kenmore is not one of them. Depending on model and item Kenmore appliances are made by LG, Whirlpool or Frigidaire. A crap shoot. I also purchased a new frig and the salesperson was very clear that “today’s appliances last from 5-7 years.” Wow. That’s encouraging.That said, I will begin with the positives, I bought a Kenmore Elite, a “smart dishwasher” that uses considerably less water than the dishwasher it replaced. Environmentally important to me, but also personally important as we use a water softener/conditioner and the iron removing rock salt we use to make our water passable is spendy stuff. And less water going into our septic system as well. It is also surprisingly quiet. As in, “is this thing running?” The black stainless is nice to look at and doesn’t fingerprint easily. It also cleans well and I love the third rack with the portion that lowers. Great for serving utensils.Here’s my REAL complaint. The bottom rack is shoddily made and the crappy plastic wheels have no actual “track” to run on. The entire rack constantly shifts from left or right and when the rack is full it is very heavy to adjust while searching for the “sweet spot” where the rack will smoothly roll. I keep looking at the manual (a sketchy little booklet at best) to see if there is something I’m missing. How can such a basic thing be so difficult? Pulling the rack out and pushing the rack back in is impossible and the entire rack shifting from side to side is almost guaranteed. Any suggestions? Could there be something missing from the bottom of the rack? Or is is just cheap manufacturing and crappy engineering? I need to figure this out. In truth I’m guessing the manufacturers attitude is to chill out. It’ll need to be replaced in 5 years anyway. Get over it. If NOT for the bottom rack problem I would be happy.

The dishwasher worked very well and lasted the family longer than other brands we have had. There was no residue that I would need to wash off, which made it very convenient for me. The size of the dishwasher was perfect. Not too big or small and the door was light enough to be handled by kids. It is an average size compared to many different brands of dishwashers nowadays. The dishwasher was very stylishly made and it was black so it was somewhat kid proof when it came to getting dirty easily. It had a very pretty pearly black finish which gave it a lot of style and was a beautiful addition to my kitchen. The value of the dishwasher was average, compare to the other brands that were being sold at the time. It was affordable on a slightly flexible budget and was worth the price I paid for it.

My Kenmore dishwasher has performed well for many years. I have had no mechanical problems at all. It has a variety of different wash cycles with a multi hour timer. It is quiet in use. I would highly recommend the Kenmore dishwasher.

This worked well when we first got it. Stopped working not even a year later. The heating element went up in it!!! Wouldnt recommend this brand. This works well for a small family. Holds a lot of dishes and glasses and pots and pans. Will hold glass Pyrex dishes well and larger pots and pans. Our model was white. The buttons lasted well. The dial was a bit outdated. Hard to keep clean. Easy to wipe down. Would have liked a more modern feature other than the dial. For the price we paid for the item, it should have lasted much longer than not even quite a year. I feel that we way overpaid for this item. Wouldnt purchase this brand ever again.

This dishwasher is now close to 10 years old. It still runs and cleans dishes just as well as it did when new. I have never had to have any repair work done on it, and find it is one of my most reliable appliances. Both the upper and lower baskets are very roomy. Even with my large family, I can fit all of a weeks dishes--including pots and pans into one load. There is enough space between the two baskets for taller dishes, and enough space up top for taller glasses. The stainless steel front blends nicely with most kitchen decors. Plus, the stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Its black accents match other appliances in my kitchen. Overall, even though its almost 10 years old, it still has a modern look that enhances my kitchens appearance. I have many times over gotten the value for the money paid for this dishwasher. It is economical in its water usage, and its dependability has saved me from spending money to repair or replace it.

I had great experiences with other Kenmore appliances, but this dishwasher was not on par with the past appliances from them. It works fine but the Kenmore products I had before were superb. It was not as fast as my previous washer and the racks are spaced a little oddly. It is manageable but it is an irritating thing. It is something that needs improvement. But, it is quiet and effective. I like that is HE. It has been very reliable, I havent had any problems with it except that it was damaged when it first arrived. Although that was the retailers fault and they immediately replaced it.

Had serviceman and plumber look at dishwasher. Keeps water in bottom after it has finished cycling. I no longer use it. I wash dishes by hand. No answer on what the problem is. I thought the idea of having a steam cycle was good. This would work for someone who has an autoimmune disease and would help with germs. Everything is hidden in the top of dishwasher so nothing shows on outside. I like the look. I would tell others about the look and how much I like it to others. I had the choice of a Bosch and a Sears dishwasher. The prices were similar. I have always thought Sears stood by their products so I went with it instead of Bosch. I am left to wonder.

Always cleans my dishes consistently good, quiet performance. I never have had an issue with my dishwasher breaking down. Even if my dishwasher is overfilled, my dishes are always clean and my glasses are always spot free. My dishwasher is built in at my apartment although from the outside you would think it was small but I have never had an issue with all of my dishes not fitting. It fits well in my kitchen. Kenmore was usually my first brand of choice because of their association with the Sears brand name. I love their return and service policies. Very customer friendly and open to suggestions. I loved the top jets as it would blast off all stuck on grime, also the silverware rack was the most convenient location in any dishwasher I used. The automatic soap fill was great. It was built in perfectly so I really had no complaints about any feature of this type of dishwasher. Very hard this day and age to be very happy with a product.

The features I like most about my Kenmore dishwasher is the large capacity, the power scrub option, and the quietness of the machine. It has been a very good piece of kitchen equipment for me. It was already built-in to the kitchen of the home I purchased. I am happy with it, but I would like to have the cycle time be less (i.e., make the dishwasher more energy efficient). The longer the dishwasher takes to complete a full cycle, the more energy is being used and I like efficiency!

It does great on washing dishes and silverware. Sometimes pot and pans have to be laying down to get cleaned, others times not. I make sure I rinse all dishes before putting them in so food doesnt stick if I dont run it right away. It fit perfect next to the sink and it has different settings on it for different washings. It is about 36 inches wide and I think 48 inches tall. I got a dishwasher that is black with white writing on it and the knob turns to what setting I want. It does have a delay cycle to use if you dont want to start it right away and a dry cycle. It is a great dishwasher. It has a separate basket for silverware that you can take out of machine and 2 racks for dishes. Top one is great for cups and glasses. The bottom one I use for the rest. On the door it has where you add detergent and rinse stuff.

The reason I chose to purchase these particular Kenmore Dishwasher was because the store was having a sale on the product and it fit my budget and requirements. I like the easy to use buttons, all the different kind of settings to clean and dry the dishes, prewash, and the easy open and lock of the door. However, I dislike the noise it makes when the dishes are washing. I wish it were quiet and when it switched cycles it didnt click or make noises as well. I also wish when they dried it would leave less spots on the dishes.

This particular model looks as if youve paid a great deal more than what it retails for, worth the design and the buttons on the front of the dishwasher.

The dishwasher came pre-installed in the home we purchased so we did not have a say in the purchase. But we kept it because of its energy efficiency and the knowledge we had of Kenmore being awesome products. My Kenmore had an energy efficient rating which saved money by heating the water internally instead of using hot water from the water heater. It was also a great name brand we knew and trusted. However, the racks in the dishwasher needed to be bigger and easier to organize. New dishwashers have a silverware rack built in which would have been great. The shelves also needed to be further apart for large glasses.

Works with no problems and Ive never had a problem. Glad it came with the house. I never thought doing dishes would be so easy. Im not sure how long it will work but think for years and then Ill get another one. Can hold my households dishes in for the day, I wait until night to use it. Five people live here, two adults and 3 kids so we use a lot of dishes throughout the day. Looks good. It dont try to stand out and just fits in. The price wast much and Id say it has a good value. Id pay about 45% more if I knew how much Id like it before I got it to be added to kitchen.

My dishes always come out clean even if I dont rinse beforehand. I can just load it up and turn it on, with no hassle at all. It really makes my life a lot easier. The size is great. If you know how to properly load it up, it can actually fit quite a few dishes. It fit like a glove when I had it installed and never feels too bulky for my kitchen. I love the look of my dishwasher. It is so modern and was what I was picturing when I went out to search for one. The controls are great and stress free. You just turn it on and forget about it until you have to unload it. Ive had my dishwasher for a while now and its still like new. Ive never had a problem with it and the quality is just as great as when I bought it.
