It is a very reliable refrigerator, small but does its functions well that are to cool and freeze my products. To be a mid-range brand it worked well for me. The fact that its doors are small is what displeases me about the model. I would have liked some doors more in line with my needs that would occupy more space for the products.

My wife and I have been faithful Kenmore customers for 15 years (as were both of our parents) UNTIL NOW. Moving into our new home 7 years ago, we bought a top of the line, matching Kenmore Elite HE4 washer and dryer. They were more expensive than the competition, but looked great and had amazing features.The dryer had a recurring issue that took 4 service visits and approx. $500 in repairs. We thought, Must have got a rare lemon. But in December, the washer stopped mid-cycle with an ERROR F6. As good customers, we called Kenmore service and a repair technician came out to fix it. He switched out the Control Board. Next day, the washer stopped again, ERROR F6. A second repairman came out and replaced the Control Board Wire Harness. Two weeks later the washer stopped again and repairman came out to explain how we needed a Motor Control Board and new motor. THIS HAS HAPPENED SIX TIMES!!! And the washer is still not fixed.We were convinced early on that we should purchase a service protection plan from Kenmore and if they couldnt fix it, Kenmore would replace it. But as of today, they want to send out a SEVENTH service repairman to try to fix the issue. My wife and I have been on the customer service hotline for 3-4 hours collectively, and had to take off from work for six days and rearrange our schedule to accommodate Kenmores technicians on six different days (with six different technicians) with no resolution. Kenmore Customer Service continues to give us the runaround and will not replace the washer as promised through the service agreement, nor will they give us a managers name to resolve the issue. This has been the most infuriating experience of our lives. If Kenmore will not resolve this issue immediately, we intend to spread the word of our experience on every social media outlet we can find. Our friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Blogger and Instagram will soon know about our experience.

My Kenmore elite has been a godsend, with back issues, I was left with only being able to use the burners on my other stoves in the past, but with my double upper oven/lower convection oven, I have a choice of which to choose. I love the easy self-cleaning, push button cooking timer and delay functions along with the 5 different size burners, (it also came with a griddle) the middle burner is oval shape. The child safety locking and cool-touch doors are extra importantfunctions just to name a few. I havent had any problems with the oven or functions in the 2 years Ive had my oven. Kenmore has been a solid reliable brand for many years. I love my oven!

I bought an electric slide in oven a few years ago, and ever since, the oven temperature does not run true. I had to purchase several oven thermometers to see what the correct temperature was. The MAIN issue that really scares me is the self-cleaning button is too easily activated and locks the oven door. It gets extremely hot and is extremely hard to shut it off. One time, we had to call a neighbor to help us pull the unit out to shut it off. I hate that the digital buttons are located in front so when I wipe anything down to clean it, it activates ALL of the features and I have to constantly push the stop button to cancel out the functions.The clock quit working also. I will never buy another Kenmore product after my experience with this oven.

I just bought a coop two months that had been renovated and the kitchen has Kenmore appliances. Dishwasher and refrigerator seem fine, but the gas range (model number 790.7050 or 7060) runs super-hot. I first noticed that the French fries cooking at 450 degrees really came out as crispy critters, so I turned the oven down about 50 degrees and its better. The real problem is that the oven is so hot that I have to run both the vent on high and a fan in order to cook something on the stove top at the same time. Ive never had this problem with any other gas range Ive had (Im 62) so its really puzzling. Now that Ive read the other comments about the ovens, I will be super careful and am considering just getting another gas range. I think this is the way this thing is designed. Even at the lower oven heat, the temperature in the kitchen is unbearable. This is from someone who hardly uses air conditioning in the summer. Anyone else have this experience?

It is not under warranty! This has never happened before to the other ranges we have owned and we have spent a lot more money on this range! Its a hazard when the racks fall I have to prop them up on empty pans to use the oven. We have been loyal Sears customers for years but now we will never purchase from Sears again!

We are using an Emerson oven from Wal-Mart we have had for years. There is only two people living in this house. I am 72 and my wife is 70. We are very careful and use our appliances with care. This is our first new home and have bought from Sears for years. We are very, very disappointed in this handling and oven. Could you please give us the service we have given you over the years? I told the salesman I needed a propane water heater and he told us, they only sold propane heaters at his location. He looked it up and I got one along with the parts to hook it up. The unit was supposed to be for propane and the box was mark so, so I took it home and hooked it up. It started right up and ran fine for three months, then stopped working. After some head wringing, I found the cause and a reset button by the thermo coupler, rest it and it didnt work on the light setting, have to put it on low now to light. Noticed the top of the flame was a bright orange, an indication it was a gas heater, not propane, then noticed the units tag says gas only. I went back to store and they refused to help me saying, We didnt install it so were not helping you, they also refused to order, or supply me with a conversion kit for l.p. and referred me to a local hardware store, who told me it was an item we had to get through Sears.I tried looking up for the conversion kit on their site myself, but their website wont correctly search for the item, I either got ceiling fans or something else. I tried using their online assistant and they kept trying to look up for the wrong parts, and didnt know how to look them up either.

After the cool down and the door released, I noticed two burn marks on the top of the oven door. I did everything the manual instructed including removing the grates, racks and wiping all services before starting the process. I called Sears and they said it was a cosmetic issue and is not covered under the warranty. I think its a door gasket problem, but they said no. I told the service dept I was very dissatisfied that they would not stand behind their product. All he said was Sorry.

I purchased this more expensive refrigerator as I thought LG/Kenmore was a good brand (also bought a stove & washer dryer by them. Upon researching the problem, looks like there is a class action suit against LG due to faulty compressors failing after 3 years, which they claim LG knew about, but kept selling these. Now I am out a freezer full of meat and have an expensive repair. THIS IS NOT FAIR. I had a repairmen come diagnose the problem and he said it is the compressor. $300 for parts and $600 for labor. That IS $900 to fix my $1400 fridge. A MAJOR APPLIANCE SHOULD BE BACKED BY BY AT LEAST A FIVE YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY. I was not expecting to buy a new fridge every 2 years.

Service fee was going to be an additional $249 for the service technician to look at it while he was already at my home. The phone center where you had to call would not discuss any other options and even had the nerve to keep me on the line every time I called trying to sell me a home warranty on appliances that are less than 3 years old!!!Is that what we can expect from Kenmore? For their products to not even last a year after warranties run out? Based on the cost of the $500 a year warranty and $249 service call repair costs they must believe that their equipment will break down at least twice a year for the warranty to be effective or save the consumer money. I Think I will try another Brand.

It is so obvious that there is a flaw with this oven. Again, I made the mistake of using the automatic oven cleaner and I am again without an oven!! Flimsy electronics on 7131 gas range - You know its bad when you have to glue your range together with epoxy to cook! I used my range about 5 times over the span of 2 years in my farmhouse when the electronics module broke off and fell back into the range. When I opened the back up, I found that the control panel was installed with 4 tiny plastic ears that were way too fragile to use in a kitchen appliance. Since my warranty had expired, I just glued some bent aluminum to the sides of the control electronics and put it back in. It works, but in all my days as an electrical engineer, I have never seen something so flimsy that is supposed to work for the life of a product. Someone needs to know this.

I have seen lots of comments from other people that have the same issue. We did not buy the extended warranty, so our 2 year old oven is now worthless. Sears offered to send a tech at no charge to come to my house but we will need to pay for labor and parts. If this was just a part that stopped working that would be understandable, but exploding glass on an appliance that is not being used seems like a defect to me.

I bought the Kenmore Dishwasher, in fact, I bought all Kenmore appliances because they work great and last for years and we get superior service on them. I have had my appliances for over ten years and they still work great like new, no problems. It has featured of being able to have heat on or off, having the arm on top and bottom, quietness. I like the silverware basket because its on the side and not the middle which gives you more room. I also like that my top rack is deep. I wish it had a self-cleaning feature like an oven so I could run it once a week to keep the power wash free of debris. We live where the water is hard, it would be nice if it had a built-in water softener that you could maybe change a filter out so I didnt have to buy additives to keep them from spotting up so bad.

The glass in the door has slipped on 3 separate occasions, requiring a service call and time waiting for repairs. On 12/13/2012, the glass was replaced after exploding. On 3/2/2013, the glass was replaced after having slipped, revealing the hardware which was holding it in place. On 6/8/2013, the glass was replaced once again due to slipping and revealing the hardware. Today, I have phoned customer service once again and have received no satisfaction from the numerous phone conversations. Each time the supervisor has been less than helpful in their ability to satisfy the customer. I would think that Sears would be a bit more concerned about rectifying this situation and stand behind what they sell and repair this problem. I will not buy another thing from Sears and I will be sure to share my poor experience with Everyone I know! I am disgusted!

In this washer I am able to pack everything - plates, cups, and even pots and pans. I only have to do one load and I am done. I put the kids cups as well as the glass cups, fork, knives and spoons, even the ones I use for cooking. Even when I forget to clean thoroughly, it leaves dishes real clean and it dries them real good. The dish its still spic and span. This dishwasher was very expensive but well worth it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I feel that this is a manufacturers defect or installation defect of the control panel, not something that the consumer should have to be accountable for. For about the last three months, the microwave would work if I jiggled the door a couple of times after setting the time - however, randomly, it would turn itself off in the middle of the cooking cycle. Now, no matter what I try to do to get the oven to work, nothing! This is the last Kenmore appliance I ever buy. Remodeled the kitchen in 2012 and purchased all new Kenmore Elite appliances. After the experience with this microwave, I am done with Kenmore. I would hope that a microwave which retails for over $900 would last a little more than a few years!

We put cookies in the oven and within a few minutes there was smoke inside. My daughter opened the door which caused flames. She shut the door. Smoke was all over the house and pouring out of the oven. I turned off the oven thinking that would do it. Smoke was still filling the air and the oven was getting hotter. I looked in the door window and noticed the upper element was on. We decided to turn the breaker off. Im so glad I did not open the door because we heard a pop and flames came shooting out of the door and then quickly got sucked back in. At that point I called 911. The fire department was dispatched as well as some deputies. We were instructed not to open the oven door until someone got there. By the time the deputies had arrived, the oven was no longer smoking.When we turned the breaker back on, the upper element went back on, and we hadnt touched the oven. The broiler just turned on for no reason. I contacted Sears, and the technician said he had never heard anything like that happening. I told him he should do a search because I found that there are plenty of us around. I know the unit is not new, but that shouldnt happen. Thank God no one was hurt, but we could easily have been, and our house could have burnt down. Im glad we did not leave the kitchen to go to another room until the timer went off. Thinking about that makes me shudder.

Kenmore Elite dual oven Electric Range Model 790. Purchased this stove in late 2009. Within months, the touch sensors on the back panel would work only intermittently. Called Sears to have repairs made to my new stove and they walked us through pressing lots of buttons on the display board to reset it. Problem persisted, but didnt have the time/energy to look into it further. Months later, the top oven stopped working correctly. Not sure what happened, but anything we cooked was raw on top and burned to a crisp on the bottom. A few more calls later to their service department where, once again, they walked us through the process of turning the top oven on to as hot as it would go. Recording the temperature using a thermometer we had to place in the oven, turn the oven down, wait for it to cool down, record the temp, etc., etc.Again, we gave up and decided my time is more valuable than a working top oven and had already spent HOURS on the phone being shuffled around from department to department (Warranty Dept, Customer Service, Customer Solutions, Home Warranty, back to customer Service where I was transferred incorrectly back to Home Warranty...). So, we lived with an intermittently working board and now a clearly improperly heating top oven. BUT - we didnt buy the extended warranty so we were now out of luck since a year has since passed.Fast forward three blissful (not) years with this piece of crap oven and we start to notice that the racks in the bottom oven seem to be very loose. Hmmmm. Take all racks out, rearrange them thinking that perhaps they have designated slots in which each rack fits, but they all seem to have the same problem. On the phone to Customer Service we go... And again we are transferred all over the organization until finally we land upon a person that might be able to help me. IF we are willing to pay $280 for a service contract upon which they will send a tech out to make repairs up to $500. If I dont want to go that route, I could always sign up for a Home Warranty ($55/month for 1yr contract or $35/month for 1yr contract for appliances) OR a Service Smart Agreement - again for repairs UP TO $500. After that, I pay for it... Oh yeah, I had to pay either a $90 or $60 service call each time a tech came out.At this point, my life is getting shorter and shorter and I decide I cant spent any more time being dragged around by the nose by Sears any longer and wave the white flag - until one day, I leaned down (to the floor, because this is where the bottom oven is) to lift a roast out of the oven and the racks suddenly collapse spraying bubbling, scalding juice all over the front of my arms, chest and legs. The oven walls seem to be expanding every time we turn this thing ON! Im now down to ONE rack in the bottom oven, a non-functional top oven (unless you like your cookies and biscuits raw on the top and charred on the bottom) and an intermittently working sensor - that, by the way, I rely on to use the top burners. If I could give this stove - and Sears Customer Service (Im looking at you, Cheryl) negative stars, I would.I tried today to give it one more go at getting this thing serviced by Sears since the aluminum foil that Ive had to wrap around the sides of the racks in the oven (so that they will take up some space and not collapse on me under the weight of a casserole dish) is going to need to be beefed up soon, but it was once again fruitless. I spent HOURS on the phone going through the merry-go-round of transfers from one department to another and in the end, spoke with NINE different people in different departments until I ended with the above esteemed Cheryl in Customer Solutions who listened patiently to my story (which, by this time I had been a little sick and tired of reiterating) and went on to tell me that since I hadnt purchased an extended warranty through them that I was out of luck.Really? Even though my first call to complain about this happened within months of owning it - when it was under the one year warranty? Again, she called to my attention that I never even had a service person out to my house. Yeah, no kidding Cheryl, because they had ME to do the work for them - which I did, by spending hours over the phone pressing this button, relaying the info to the tech on the phone, pressing that button, relaying the info. etc, etc. Sears did a really good job of stringing me along long enough that I was out of warranty and they could wash their hands of the whole thing.For generations, my family has been die-hard Sears appliance customers and have always had excellent products and service. That is a thing of the past. Get you in, sell you the appliance, and get you to spend even MORE money on a warranty. God knows one shouldnt expect a $2000 stove to last longer than a year... Ill be buying my appliances locally from here on out.

Besides that, we have only had to replace the control panel on the dishwasher. I think I would prefer non-electronic controls on stoves and dishwashers; older stove controls lasted forever. Anyway, my next stove will not be a Kenmore. Spend all that money on that piece of junk.

Now the oven, it never has heated properly and when I went to use it, it made a loud humming noise, then when I went to use the broiler, the cooling fan you could hear, was scraping against the sides of something inside. Once again, Sears service was called, came out, had to order a new fan/motor. To access the fan/motor, they had to pull the unit from the wall, and in doing so, tore my wall up a little bit.When they sat it on the floor to work on it, they didnt put anything under it and there were major dents in my new luxury vinyl flooring. They got it repaired, re-installed it and it worked fine until yesterday. The microwave door handle is loose again also. I called Sears service yesterday and explained to them its doing the exact same thing it was when they were here before. The representative informed me it would be a service charge of something like $250.00/hr. I couldnt believe it-I told him its doing the same thing it did before. Their response- their repairs only have a 90 day warranty. I told him I wasnt paying for what obviously is a poorly designed appliance. I informed him I would contact my attorney. Bottom line- every mechanical and electrical device will have its issues over time, to me, its about how the manufacturer stands behind their product. Will not buy a Sears product again.

His job was to sell me a $500 per year insurance policy. I told him, Thanks but no thanks! If I have to spend $500 it will go toward yanking out the Kenmore unit and replacing it with another brand!By the way, the microwave (when actually working) gives off an ear-piercing beep every 15 seconds that is extremely obnoxious. Repair man came a week later and found that the motor cause the door lock was out and they would have to order the part. I dont understand why they did not bring one with them. I asked the gentleman to please bring a thermal fuse based on the last oven. Week 2 the repair guys shows up and puts the motor in and guess what? It will not heat due to the THERMAL FUSE being out. He does not have a thermal fuse with him and they will have to order the part and it will be another week. At this point I have blown my own fuse. 3 weeks without a oven that you told them on the phone what was wrong and they did not bring the parts with them is just a little much for me. PLEASE do not purchase KENMORE appliances unless you too want to experience the frustration that we have. I will never own another. Pass this on to everyone. This was purchased in Bowling Green, KY.

I had the board replaced. A couple of days ago, I went to turn on this same variable temp burner and literally saw an electric current arc in front of my eyes! The surge caused my main circuit breaker to home to shut down cutting off all electricity. Thank God I was not hurt, but I shudder to think what might have happened. I walked to the microwave, there was a flame inside the cabinet and the glass turn table was totally shattered. We moved into action to smother the fire to prevent the flame from accessing the magnetron. The next day, we called Sears Service. The technician was scheduled for a 12:00 PM to 5 PM window of time. At 6:19 PM, I received a text that technician was on the way. At 7:00 PM I called, dispatcher could not locate technician. A technician was rescheduled for Monday. The technical arrived on Monday and said that he came on Friday but could not see an address (our address is located on our mailbox). When the technician viewed the cabinet of the microwave and he stated that he had never seen anything like that. He called his senior team but stated that he was having difficulty in cell phone service. He could forward photos of the cabinet to the Senior Team. The exterior of the microwave looks brand new. The technician departed. We received an email stating that the fire was caused by customer negligence. Therefore, the warranty was cancelled and no further action would be taken. We called Service. We were told that the microwave was totally burned by us. We explained that this microwave is setting in our cabinet. It is totally burned. If you walked into our kitchen you would never know about the damage within the cabinet. Of course, my husband disconnected the microwave from electricity to prevent another fire from happening. We asked for another technician to make an assessment of the damage. We were told that we would have to pay a service charge for a technician to come out again. We consented to pay the charge for an assessment. Sears then proceeded to attempt to send the same technician again. My husband called in protest. He was told that the particular technician was the technician for this area. We are totally disappointed in this defective product and the Customer Service rendered by Sears. They have no regard for the customers who purchase their products.

Occasionally, in the washer, a load will become unbalanced and because I am not strong enough to adjust the feet on the bottom, I just rearranged the clothes inside the washer to stop the loud banging noise. With the dryer, the only issue I have is that it seems that the heat sensor might be off a little because it feels to me like the dryer is always drying on a high setting not matter what setting I select. To deal with this on my delicate fabrics, I dry them on touch-up which is a somewhat cool setting. But I would say for owning these appliances for over 20 years, I am very satisfied with them.

It was over $700.00 on sale. But what are you going to do? So I said yes. He felt so bad he did not charge me for the service call. So now here we are on Sunday, my wife finds a piece of black plastic on the stove top. She looks & its from the bottom on the handle on the microwave. It has broken in the same as the last time. I told that I was not spending another $300 for another door. So, while I was cleaning the door with alcohol, I found a crack in the door on the bottom to the left of the handle. I got some 5min Epoxy & have glued the handle. Remember there are only 2 people in this house & we are 70 yrs. old. I will be looking for a commercial grade microwave to replacement this one but I guaranteed that it will not be a Kenmore or a Whirlpool.

Its nice to know a dealer is nearby for necessary repairs, or more likely, to buy a newer version. There were many models to choose from so I could get the one that fit my apartment situation perfectly. I had a basic model and it was a size good there but also transitioned to my first house with no problem. It was very easy to clean, and keep clean. However its always a battle to chose between amount of features versus price. And more variety in shelving arrangements would have been nice. Gallon milk jugs and 2 liter soda bottles are a challenge in smaller fridges.

I purchased this Kenmore 94173 range online and so wish I did not. My old ovens control panel exploded and I decided to get a new oven versus repairing the old one. I do like the stove. My one issue is keeping the black glass top smudge/fingerprint free. The glass top is just about impossible to keep shiny. I have tried the recommended glass top cleaners by Kenmore and they have failed horribly. No matter which product I have tried, nothing so far has removed the smudges. Even though the glass top is clean, it looks terrible. Really disappointed that Kenmore does not realize the frustration of black glass tops. Now I place teapots and the like on the stove to hide Kenmores idiocy.

Within 5 years, there was a flash of light and a small explosion at the oven control panel and then it went blank. The part cost $170 to replace, assuming that would fix it, according to a parts store expert (he was a former repairman). I didnt think it was worth replacing and had to get a new range. The warranty was for only one year on the Kenmore and according to a store salesman all range brands only have a one year warranty today too. Manufacturers online claim that these types of ranges should last about 16 years. I have since found out that although the latest version of this Kenmore stove rates well with Consumer Reports, it is made by Electrolux, which has a poor repair history and poor brand reliability, according to Consumer Reports. It looks exactly like the Kenmore I bought 5 years ago. I wonder if the Kenmore I purchased in 2011 was also an Electrolux model. I definitely dont recommend the Kenmore Electric Range.

The size is convenient for my kitchen space, the door bins are much larger than standard refrigerators which is great for holding Juice bottles and such, I also like the see through shelves which make it easier to spot things in the fridge. Good shape, but the delivery guys left clear tape on the inside and left the oven on. When I opened the door the gasket pull off the oven. Took 2 service call to get one installed right. Glass Top is a pain in the butt to clean. You have to use Kenmore Cleaner. Nothing Else Works. Convection (Double Fan) is horrible. Bakes Terrible. No matter how much I try either things are way overdone or doughy in the middle. I hate it. I have had a convection oven for 17 years and I have loved every minute of it. Used convection at all time. Not with this oven! Its is just beyond me how it is so terrible. Sears repair guys came 5 times so far. Now the bottom drawer is rubbing on the underside of the oven where the heating element is. When the oven heats it is expanding the metal under the oven. Now they tell me it will be a Major Rebuild. I was told my a Warranty Supervisor (Alisha) that if the tech came out and confirmed that the problem was indeed what I was saying I would be issued a refund ticket for a new or different oven. Well now they (Milly a different Supervisor) are saying that in order to issue that the oven will have to go under the same repair 4 times in order for that to happen! So 2 repair guys will be coming this month and it will take 3+ hours to repair a defective oven at the cost of about $400.00. The repair guy said he has never done this before so he is bringing another guy with him. So yet another day interrupted by a Sears Repairman that should not even be repairing this oven. We should be able to return it for a full refund or an exchange. Oh and the repair guy first attempted to fix the drawer by bending the sides with a block of wood. Now the drawer is bent and the issue was never the drawer, but the bottom element causing the oven to warp downward against the drawer. It is worse than before he came! When the oven cools it pops back up. It is a factory defect and we should not be treated this way! I stopped using the convection after one repair guy reset it over 35 degrees upward. My cookies were burnt in 2.5 minutes and doughy in the middle. I reset it back to factory temp and gave up. The oven bakes fine at reg bake, but the convection part of it sucks! I have spent hours on the phone with Sears Warranty. I have gone through things like, We cant find your information, You didnt buy a new oven, lost information, complaints not being documented after they say they are writing it down on our account. Either they lie about their names or the next person lies about now knowing another Supervisor. I request a Supervisor and they stall and keep asking me how they can help me. Oh and if you call Sears Warranty and get a gal named Kathleen, just hang up and call again until you get a different person. She is the worst. She cant find anything. She cant type even your number in right. I have dealt with her enough to know just to hang up. If you tick her off shell say she is transferring you, but youll be disconnected.We are now considering loading up our oven on a dolly and taking it back to the Sears Showroom with all the receipts and demanding a refund. Wish us luck. DONT BUY FROM SEARS!!! We have been Sears customers since 1976 and loved them. Now they are the worst company ever! This went on until last Friday and all they could do was offer me a $50 gift card!!! They acknowledged that they screwed up and this was the best they could do! Sears does not care about their products or customers. I am out $900 because of Sears and most of you know that I am a single income parent. Worst case is that had I used the major self clean option, my house could have burned! 3 days before Christmas and Sears did not care! So they have a self-cleaning feature in the oven but advise you not to use it. The store I purchased it from said they felt they should replace the bottom. The metal must be defected. I had a second service call with Kenmore and was told the same thing: it was my fault for spilling something in the oven. This oven is only a month old and I feel this is a manufacturer’s defect. The way they refuse to do anything makes me regret buying it and buying the extended warranty. I would like the oven fixed and thoroughly checked out to make sure not only the metal is fixed but that the self-cleaning feature is working correctly. I would like the oven to be replaced or if this is a common complaint with these ovens, I would like to get my money back and buy a different brand. Dual convection fans but cooks uneven. Takes 20 min to come up to full temp if it’s at 400 and told by Sears service tech this is normal. My 20 year old Jenn-Air it replaced took 8 min to come up to 450. The front panel looks like hell after 1 year. My dog can swipe his nose across it and turn on burners. It’s a safety hazard as done it when a towel was on the burner. The top glass if you look at it wrong it will scratch. I use aluminum bottom Swiss diamond pots and pans never made a mark on the Jenn-Air and this thing looks worse now after 2 years than my 20 year old glass did on the old stove that had cast iron used on it now and then. This is the finest Chinese garbage ever made. You just cannot buy a quality product anymore no matter what you pay. I tried to get the glass replaced and fix the stove and no luck. I will never buy another Sears/Kenmore product ever again and go out of my way to tell others how poor of a product this really is. Had the Jenn-Air not got the top smashed when I put it out in the shed it would be back in place of this piece of junk and be outside with a big sign on it saying how terrible Sears products and service is now. No wonder Craftsman tools went to Lowe’s and no wonder Sears is now barely above water. Done with them completely. I should have learned my lesson on the terrible Elite dishwasher we have and all the issues with that thing but tried to give them another chance as back 20 years ago products from them lasted forever compared to other brands.

Have to get creative with some dishes to ensure they dont prevent the spray bars from spinning. Running two loads wouldnt be an issue if it didnt seem like the standard cycle took all night to finish. The dishwasher complements our kitchen. It looks sharp and the stainless steel is fairly easy to keep clean. The handle is pretty sleek, too. Purchased the dishwasher as part of a Black Friday special. Based on the available features, I still think it offers one of the better values for the upper mid-range of dishwashers.

Ummm, Sears refused to replace the dishwasher within the 90-day window despite the fact that it had broken twice!6. One sales representative sarcastically offered me a $10 gift card for my year of trouble.I am incredibly disappointed in Sears. They used to be my “go to store” for any appliance, automotive, and outdoor need. Unfortunately, they will NEVER see another dime from me.

We purchased this washer/dryer combo about 2 years ago and I have never been happy. MY clothes do not come out clean, only refreshed. The tank never fills with enough water to clean anything. The clothes get wet and flop around. I wash very small loads and I have to wash dishcloths and kitchen towels 2 or 3 times. This is not saving water. Every few weeks, I boil my dishcloths and kitchen on the stove to get them clean. I called for service and was told that this was the way this washer worked. I have been happy in the past with Kenmore appliances, but not this time. I am going to replace this 2 year old washer soon.

We purchased our house from the original owner and have had nothing but problems with the oven racks. They never used the oven, so were unaware of the problem. It is Model # C 970-418232, Serial # NF70817966. We have had the racks fall in the middle of baking something NUMEROUS times, finally with one incidence causing a serious burn. This is unacceptable! I have read that others have had the same issues, but there have been no resolutions as of yet. It is not under warranty anymore, and I dont think that this should be called a warranty issue, but should be recalled due to the risk of VERY SERIOUS burns, items breaking when rack falls, etc!!! We should be able to SAFELY use ANY of our oven racks on ANY of the shelf levels! My mother has also been burned by our oven, and my children are forbidden to use it! Has ANYONE been compensated for this problem? Has Sears ever replaced any of the racks and given the owner the correct size? I look forward to hearing more about this from other owners, and would love to hear back from Sears! This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS problem that needs to be fixed!

It had a cycle that was extra powerful and extra hot for baking dishes to make sure they were fully cleaned. It was a little pricier than I initially wanted to have but I liked it. The look was black stainless steel and it had a lot of the features that I liked and wanted because the previous dishwasher I had was horrible and wouldnt clean anything. The Kenmore dishwasher was inexpensive and I cook a lot in the oven and get tired of having to soak the dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher. The only main issue I want changed is that it has water spots at times after they are dried. I have to take them out after they are washed and dry them off or they will spot.

Last week, the oven door to my 2-year-old Kenmore range exploded - shattering and sending shards of glass across the kitchen. The range hadnt been used since the night before and I had turned the broiler to low, opened the door to slip food onto the rack, and was in the process of closing the door when the glass completely shattered. I called Sears, where I bought the blasted thing.They suggested I contact Kenmore, who suggested I contact Frigidaire, who referred me back to Kenmore. No one seemed concerned that I could have been hurt and that the range I purchased in good faith and based on a history of using Kenmore appliances couldnt be used. I do not have the money to trash this faulty range or I would. I can say, without hesitation, that I will never purchase an appliance from Sears or Kenmore again due to the lack of effective customer service over an obviously flawed design. I still havent had it fixed and am sickened every time I walk into my kitchen.

The clothes were too wet and I’d drain/spin again. Checked the troubleshooting section-nothing worked. We are in the position of having to replace a perfectly functional and expensive microwave / convection oven because the company chose to make a poor quality vent and light button that cannot be replaced for less than $300. These buttons fall through the panel and have no way of being fixed unless you pay an exorbitant repair.

We bought a Kenmore Electric Range 790.9420, 9424 just under 2 years ago for $700 (January 2015). The Convection has never been impressive... Following the directions but still burning items (I have since found out that it shouldve performed much better than that but I had no reference point) and it cant cook more than one item at a time without slowing down the cooking process or burning items. The last straw was two weeks ago, 12/10/16. It made a very loud POP while trying to bake a pizza. It totally stopped baking. For the last two weeks I have gotten the worst customer service through Sears that I have ever experienced. The local store hasnt been able to help (in fact when I tried to call their listed number, they never answered and then the phone call just cut off after 3 minutes of listening to it ring). I had to go into the store to tell the manager that their phone hadnt worked for 3 days as I had tried to reach them, then the 800 Sears Service number that is listed to call has been just terrible. Those at the 800 number must be trained to never help the customer or admit that their product hasnt delivered as it should have AND they arent allowed to give out any information on someone higher than their level to complain to... Absolutely no accountability. The main numbers of 1-800-469-4663 and 1-847-286-2500 have given me NO satisfaction. They have transferred me to Sears Holdings, Sears Solutions, Sears Rewards and NO ONE has been able to help me. All say it is on me, I didnt buy a warranty but that they can come out for $89 to assess it! Are you kidding me? My Stove/oven isnt made to last even 2 years? My phone call issues range from completely dropping my calls, putting me on hold for 25 minutes and never returning to speak to me so I had to hang up and call back and start all over, saying there is no recall or defect on this item so its costs are on me. I have been trying to give Sears some time to take some responsibility for their defective product...I finally had another local repair man come out and they determined it is the Control Panel... Cost is estimated at $250 (thats just for the item), then add the labor. I called Sears with this information. They have no solution other than to tell me to pay their tech to come out and assess it. I will NOT do that. I will not buy a Sears product ever again and I will do my best to let everyone I know to never buy from there again. Other than the store manager who did a good job hearing me but had no authority to help me, I have experienced ZERO customer service. I spoke to the store manager yesterday and there was a sign of a very little movement after I pressed more that my appliance shouldnt break in under 2 years and that anyone must have a warranty for something under 2 years. She was going to contact the Service Factory Manager directly for me. I have doubts that anything will result and plan to buy with a local company. The individuals on the phone are not accountable to anyone... They dont seem to care if you have a lemon or if you will not do business with their company anymore. I was told if I had an issue and wanted to speak to a manager, that I could call back and hopefully I could get through to the Arizona call center versus the Texas one. Are you kidding me? No accountability, No customer service, No standing behind their products and making it right with customers. Terrible. I/we have many more years of buying power and it wont be with Sears. I really hope my review will prevent someone else putting their money and faith into any Sears products.
