According to several sources, the average lifespan of a refrigerator is 14-17 years, assuming proper care and maintenance. Our Kenmore refrigerator, model number 596.69312010, lasted less than six years. Over a two months time span, the Main Control Board for our fridge needed to be replaced three times. We work with a reliable appliance repairman who has always done A+ work for us. I have no doubt that the installation of the replacement control board was done correctly, but within a few weeks it died again. On the third occasion, we gave up. Were not investing any more time or money in trying to extend the life of a sub-par appliance. Im not an expert but my guess is that there are issues with the entire cooling system of this fridge, which leads to the quick death of main control board. Whatever the cause, were done. Im leaving this review to warn other consumers before they got stuck in the same situation. Refrigerators are expensive. Even with bargain pricing youre looking at several hundred dollars for the most basic models. If they last as long as they should, the cost per year makes the expense bearable. When they die early, less than halfway through their expected lifespan, its very frustrating.

We always wanted a stainless steel refrigerator that was spacious on the inside. We had a Sears account already and the Kenmore refrigerator has been very reliable since we purchased it. The Kenmore is a nice looking refrigerator with water and ice dispenser and I really like the double doors, and having a freezer on bottom. It also has plenty of room. But I discovered that the interior lights do not go off when the door is closed. I read later that they had an issue with that, but we did not get it resolved.

Kenmore Refrigerators have good temperature control and nice drawers. Overall cubic feet is fine but side by side really limits overall size especially for large containers. Much too narrow of a door. It has good options with adjustable shelfs. Overall performance has been good but very frustrating that ice maker broke after a few years. Value is ok but considering how much these costs the ice maker should not break. Should at minimum have a lifetime or very long warranty on the ice maker.

Weve had Kenmore refrigerators in the past and have great luck with them. We have a service contract and get a maintenance visit every year. We had one service call and it was covered, no hassle. Love my Kenmore Elite and in this case the cost was right and the size was great for our family. Love the slide out shelves, the automated ice and water dispenser, meat and cheese drawer, vegetable and fruit drawer. I like the freezer on the bottom and the French doors. Occasionally, if we don’t use enough ice the ice machine part gets bogged down but it’s easy to open the ice maker door and clear it out. Also, the paddle occasionally gets stuck and well get water all over the floor. Now that we know we take special care.

Hi, I hope you are able to help me. I could not find any other way of reaching Sears to get an answer. We just purchased a refrigerator at Sears in the Volusia Mall, Daytona Beach, FL. We then went to our local small Sears store (Palm Coast, FL) to get a part that we needed for the install. The gal at the Palm Coast store asked why we had not purchased from them. We did go there first but they did not have the model on the floor that I needed to see. It was only available in Daytona. Which by the way, the local store would not tell me. They wanted me to look at a picture. My question is this: The gal at the local store said since we did not purchase the refrigerator from them they would not answer any questions for us or help us in any way. WHAT? I thought Sears was Sears no matter where you were located. We will never use them for anything again but I want clarification of the information we were given. Is it true that you can only seek assistance from the store you purchased an appliance from? What happens if you move? Seems very fishy to me. Thanks so much for listening. I couldnt be more pleased with my refrigerator. The ice machine keeps up very well and it has never gave me a minutes trouble. It produces very clean water with its filter system! It is very roomy for my family of five! It holds a lot of meat in the freezer and still has plenty of room for ice cream and popsicles. The refrigerator part holds milk tea and the crisper is very roomy and we still have room for canned drinks and leftovers. I love the looks of it and how it makes our kitchen shine! So many people has came to our house and complimented on how good it looks. When we brought it in the first day you could tell a difference right away. It was so worth the money I paid for it. Also the water filters are easy to change and the price is reasonable on them too.

A great refrigerator, plenty of freezer space and shelving in the main cold section. Easy to keep clean and easy to use. I will definitely be buying another since I moved and the one here is not as good. Its capacity was enough to take care of all my refrigerator items and food. The shelving had enough room for even larger items that I needed to keep refrigerated and all of the condiments that I use on a regular basis. And, the drawers for my fresh vegetables and meat items always kept them as fresh as was possible until I was ready to use them.I like my refrigerator in a white color, and it was very easy to take care of the outside and keep it clean and fresh looking. It fit beautifully in the area in my kitchen where it sat. It helped to make my kitchen look clean and bright. It is a very functional refrigerator and kept my fresh grocery items in great condition. I knew that all the food in it would be in good condition when I got to it.

I just had the WORST customer service experience of my life. Dont buy a Kenmore product, because if it breaks youll be stuck waiting for repairs. This morning my husband noticed that the ice maker on our Kenmore Elite refrigerator was leaking and the ice was melting. Not only that but the food in the fridge was warm and the stuff in the freezer was thawing and melting. When I called customer service for repairs the lady on the phone could not understand the issue. I had to explain to her several times that it wasnt just the ice maker or just the freezer but that the entire unit wasnt working. She then had me open both doors of the refrigerator (letting out what little cool air was remaining) and push some buttons while holding my phone up to the Kenmore Connect symbol so it could send a message about whats wrong.We had to do this multiple times until she eventually told me that I would be receiving a parts in the mail in the next 2 to 3 DAYS and that a technician would be out on December 31. So Im without a fridge for TWO WEEKS! Forget cooking Christmas dinner or hosting a New Years party. This is unacceptable. If Amazon can deliver a package in under an hour, then Kenmore should be able to put a technician in a truck to pick up the parts at whatever warehouse theyre located in and drive out to my house TODAY to fix the issue.

We currently own a Kenmore double door refrigerator with the under freezer pull out drawer. We have 5 children so we are always concerned about having enough space. Our Kenmore refrigerator is very spacious and gorgeous. We love it and would definitely recommend it.

I love my refrigerator because its modern and very easy to use. I would recommend this to family and friends, goes with any color paint of the house. My refrigerator is about a medium size with nice width and height, can fit nicely into the area where the refrigerator goes. My refrigerator is a newer model and it all stainless steel, with black handles. Its wide and its tall, nice and heavy. Well because the refrigerator is modern, the value of it is very nice. Its stainless steel and stainless steel is in nowadays so the value is very awesome.

The refrigerator kept most of the food cold, however it had poor vegetable humidity control. The meat container sections were well-spaced but I prefer have a single compartment instead of using a multi-spaced compartment area to store your rock-hard meats. The refrigerator was well-spaced and it had decent legroom for standing inside of it, however when it comes to freezer room, there was not enough space. Yes it was overall not great.

My Kenmore Refrigerator was a floor model and it was on sale. The refrigerator is spacious and works to its capacity. The shelves can be adjusted. It had an overhead freezer and ice making machine. It fits in the wall space and it only stopped functioning once in four years. However, the bottom gaskets keep breaking and the freezer ices over sometimes. Also, I would make an extra meat compartment and would put a bigger thermometer in the back of the refrigerator so I can read it. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the Kenmore refrigerator and it has met my initial expectations.

Bought this item in 2016 with French doors and bottom freezer door with go door on right side. Price was $2500 and the compressor just died Easter Sunday with fridge full of food. Tech knew what the problem was when he saw it was the elite. Will take a week to get the compressor and he has already warned me that this is the beginning of the end. Once the compressor is replaced these have a history of going south from there. Only saving grace is I bought the extended warranty. Do a little research and you will hear this same story over and over again. Do not buy these.

Buy the insurance if you get a Sears Kenmore. Three years and 1st year the fan broke. That would have been $300.00. 2nd year it wasnt getting cold enough. Afraid to use door shelves. Someone came a few times and finally adjusted some lever in freezer making it cooler in fridge. 3rd-year ice maker broke, they replaced it. Very unhappy with this and really cant afford to buy another. Be careful buying this smaller fridge. My insurance is out now and wonder what will go next. Save your money, Kenmore supposed to be good but it isnt.

Fridge died after just 7 years. The compressor only has a 10-year warranty but when the compressor goes out it causes other damage that costs in the thousands to repair so warranty is worthless. Repairs cost as much as the new fridge; ELITE line.

Good quality appliance. Helpful customer service. Would recommend Kenmore to anyone. We have not had any problem with our refrigerator. Energy efficient and quiet. Its a big enough refrigerator to fit all of our basic needs. We do have another refrigerator that we put extra items in but only need to use it when we have an excess of items for a party or something. It fits very well into our kitchen decor. It is nice looking and practical. Easily accessible. Easy for kids to open and get what they need. Very organized set up. It is not cheaply made and customer service is easy to get a hold of if you need anything.

This is an LG refrigerator with the Kenmore nameplate. The ice capacity is a joke at about 2 lbs per day. It takes forever to make ice even when you use the Ultra Ice feature. It is very cheaply made as well. I pulled the drawer in the freezer open one day and a wheel from each side broke off when it reached the end of the track. The freezer also frosts food really bad and you have to throw it away after a few months. Very dissatisfied with this refrigerator which is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned!! And I paid $1600 for it five years ago.

This refrigerator has been a blessing all the while I have used it. I have never had any problems with it. I enjoy this brand and this product. This fridge is perfect for me and my family. I would definitely encourage it to my friends and family to use. This item never breaks down and keeps working all the time. My refrigerators color is just the right color I like. It is black and that is my favorite color in the whole wide world. I would not trade it in for another one for any reason. The value of this item is still the same I believe. It still works as good as before. I paid a decent price for it and I think I got a great deal on it. This brand is the best.

I like Kenmore refs bottom freezer, the ice maker in the door, shelves can be moved to accommodate various size items, the freezer has many different compartments, which allows you to customize the storage of items, and the grab n go feature. However, this feature often does not keep the case fully closed, thus making it swing open when you open the door. Items often fall through to the floor in the freezer compartment and its a very big refrigerator. Kenmore has not met my expectations, largely due to customer service response. The refrigerator is a good value overall, but I would go with a different brand next time because of Sears reputation.

We have had our freezer top fridge for over 15 years now. Only issue we had when we first bought it was trying to squeeze into our narrow doorways in the house into our kitchen. Its just now starting to go and needs to be replaced. So, with proper care, a new one could last for at least 10 years.

Wife and I needed a new refrigerator and there just happened to be a sale on Kenmore appliances and we both liked the color and it was available for immediate delivery. Price was right for me at the time as well. I like the large capacity with separate crisper drawers, large freezer compartment well-lighted, on-door compartments and the ability to switch the door to open either way. But make them easier to clean. I would also improve the door compartments to fit larger items on the door rack and lighting in the freezer compartment could be better.

Complete junk make by LG. The icemaker in my 2 year old refrigerator stopped working. SEARS repair, who I have never seen being able to repair anything, says the wire is broken between the motherboard and the ice maker and it is un-repairable. This refrigerator replaced another 2 year old LG, very similar to it, whose ice maker broke, then the freezer wouldnt freeze, and SEARS couldnt fix it. Since I had a service contract. They gave me money to replace it. The sears salesman claimed I just had a lemon and the Kenmore would be much better. WRONG! Now I am stuck with a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS, DO NOT BUY LG REFRIGERATORS.

Generally the Kenmore 795.76209.900 fridge has worked fine for the 3 years Ive had it. Complaints include I can put up with a few dents from the ultra thin sheet metal cabinet (Does it really have to be that thin??!! Can almost dent it with fingernail!!!), but the cheap plastic freezer compartment guide rail takes the cake. It broke, now I feel like Ive BEEN HAD paying $75.00 with shipping for the replacement part. Am worried the other side will break as well, so trying not to use the upper freezer rack for a week until the part arrives. Otherwise I would REALLY FEEL CHEATED for way over a hundred dollars for $2 worth of molded plastic that should have been made more durable in the first place.

We have had our Kenmore Elite refrigerator for 3 years and it has totally quit working. The internal compressor has failed which is more than 1000 to repair. Waste of money!!! Not going to own another Kenmore ever.

Model #596.72213200 - On Wednesday, December 3rd my 84 year old mother opened the refrigerator door only to have it fall off and pull her down to the floor. Everything fell on the floor and broken glass was everywhere. I had her dial 911 for emergency help. She is bruised and sore from the fall. We had our appliance man, Paul Long Appliances come to fix the door and he has applied loctite to the screw that came loose at the bottom. He assured her that the screw will not come out again. He stated that this is a design flaw that allows the screw to come undone by opening the door to the right. My mother, myself and the appliance man feel that this model is a danger and should be recalled.

Works well, refrigerator side keeps cool with adjustable temperature. Freezer side cools fast. Ice machine works very well. No reliability issues. Freezer side has four or five compartments. Refrigerator side has lots of bin space and storage on the back of the door. Easy to move along the floor. Refrigerator has a nice stainless steel front with two long stainless steel handles for the freezer and refrigerator section. Ice maker dispenser is all black. Overall is a good value since it has good reliability, a nice modern stainless steel appearance, good storage space in both sections, and a functional ice dispenser.

This is a standard fridge that will last a lot longer than you might need and will effectively cool and keep your foods fresh. The performance considering the length of time it can be in use is impressive. The size of this fridge can accommodate any normal familys requirements for food cooling and storage as well as freezing solutions. The size is more than adequate. The look of this fridge is a standard white fridge with the handle and ultimately nothing needs to be changed. Its just fine the way that it is with the classic design appeal. Considering this is one of the lower end models, its rather high quality and therefore the value is rather high when considering how reliable the model in general is.

Our Kenmore Elite refrigerator is 6 years old and needs a new compressor. The warranty was 5 years. We were told it could be $750 if its just the compressor and $1.000 if it also needs a new evaporator. No way are we spending that for repairs. Well buy a new one... but it wont be a Kenmore.

I have had my Kenmore refrigerator for about 5 years and am extremely happy with it. I have not had any major issues with it since we bought it and it is still going strong. I like the style of my refrigerator and the way it is laid out. The storage areas is really nice but would be nice to have at least one drawer in the freezer part to put frozen vegetables. I will say that the ice maker does not work anymore but we have just got the ice out from the inside. It stopped working about 2 years ago.

I have had access to several different Kenmore models that usually came with one of the houses or apartments I have rented, roommated with someone, or just visited over the years. I like the newer ones with the refrigerator on top and the freezer on the bottom. I like how much more spacious and energy efficient the newer models are. I like the models that come equipped with a water dispenser (filtered of course)/ice dispenser (also filtered)! I wish refrigerators were solar powered or could generate their own power so no electricity was necessary! In fact I wish all appliances were made this way! I didnt purchase this brand. It came with a few places I have rented over the years! Yes I was very satisfied with the Maytag brand and prefer it over other brands!

I would give this negative stars if I could. We bought a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator with bottom freezer in September 2016. It totally stopped working on June 23, 2017 (8 months later). The earliest appointment they could give us was the following Friday, June 30th. Repairman thinks that it may be the compressor but cant get the parts until 7/21. We told him that was unacceptable and he was then able to find the parts and scheduled to return on 7/7. Just got a call from Sears saying that the parts are on back-order and the earliest they could schedule service is on 7/24. I told them that I wanted a new refrigerator instead and was told that they could not replace it unless a repairman deemed it unfix-able. I told them to send a repairman to verify that it was unfix-able because as far as I am concerned, if they dont have the parts to fix it, then it is unfix-able. Of course I was then told that they wont send anyone until the parts come in. So now we are without a refrigerator until July 24th and who knows if he can even fix it when he comes. Over a month without a refrigerator is totally unacceptable. They do not seem to care either, but they will care when they are out of a job. Thank God that I didnt purchase the extra service plan - I am sure that is just as useless as their warranty. No wonder they are closing Sears stores everywhere - it is disgraceful how they handle business and treat customers. Thankfully, my local Sears will be closing its doors soon, too bad they didnt before I bought my refrigerator. I wish that I had read the reviews prior to purchasing. I will never buy another thing from them again.

I had an old Kenmore fridge that lasted for 20 years. I replaced it because it became so noisy but it was cooling perfectly. The new one I got Nov. 2013 is the 18.3 cu ft with two doors (Sears.ca item number 463642104). Two weeks ago, the freezer stopped working (everything inside melted) then few days later the whole fridge was not cooling. It is plugged and it looks like its working but it is not cooling. I called a technician and he said there is a gas leak and that should not happen with a less than 3-year old fridge. Tracking a leak and replacing the gas is very expensive and you are better off buying a new fridge. I called Sears and of course I am on my own because it has been more than 12 months.

Kenmore refrigerator 2007 (manufactured by LG) malfunctioned when the inside lights did not go off upon closing the doors. Heat buildup caused the control panel encasement to explode off its binding and heat from the bulbs scorched the light bulb receptacle and melted the butter inside the butter enclosure, and sent it down the whole side of the door. A dog can container was actually hot to the touch from this and the unit had to be unplugged because the bulbs (from the heat) melded to the unit. A fire would definitely have ignited had I not opened the door when I did.

The Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refrigerator we purchased less than 3 months ago has been a problem and has ruined our kitchen floor under the appliance, and the adjoining rooms carpet . The ice maker line backs up and fills up in the back of the appliance and then leaks onto your floor. We have had 4 appointments scheduled for the repair (on a 3 month old product), and now we are waiting to see if we can have it replaced. It was repaired once to no avail. Now we are just waiting without ice, and our refrigerator is in the middle of our kitchen so the floor can dry out...again. Waiting for the company to contact us about a new or a replacement. I am very discouraged at this point. VERY!

I think is awesome. Is very easy to clean, thats a must. Love the water and ice dispenser, mine is lighted, and overall I have had no problems with my refrigerator. Is a very good size for my kitchen although I have a Kenmore freezer as well. Is very easy to maintain clean the outside and the inside. OH IS BEAUTIFUL. I chose this model because it goes with all the other equipment that I have in my kitchen. It has a freezer light, not all refrigerators have one. The price was excellent. I got an insurance for the refrigerator, but I have not have to use it. There is no rust anywhere.

We purchased this refrigerator 6 1/2 years ago at a cost of almost $3,000.00. It stopped cooling a few days ago-the Sears technician said the compressor and another part were shot. The compressor would have been repaired under the 10 year warranty, the other part would have cost almost $700.00, and we would have had to wait three weeks for the part. Just want out and purchased a new refrigerator, and you can bet it was not a Kenmore.

Side by side refrigerator leaks when the defrost cycle happens on the freezer. The drain doesnt drain correctly and then it refreezes and then the next time it defrosts again the water drains out onto the floor. Until we thaw the drain it happens over and over again, therefore making rust inside of freezer door at bottom.

I enjoy my Kenmore. It is better than any fridge I ever had. You will have to try one for yourself. I am telling you to shop for one. You will love it. It keep your food fresh and good for week. It keep your food good in the freezer good too. So when you go to shop for a fridge you want to try getting a Kenmore. To see how it work for you. Fridge, Freezer, and ice maker all work wonderfully. We havent had any problems with it except for the ice getting stuck once. It fixed itself. The Fridge part is a great size. The freezer is a little small for how much frozen food that we buy, but we have a mini-freezer for what doesnt fit in the main freezer. Fridge is nice looking. Its sleek and well put together, a great addition to our kitchen. I would recommend the look for most kitchen styles. We got our fridge for a good price for how well its worked and how great it looks. Im super happy. Would recommend for people searching for a good deal.

Weve had our fridge for about 8 years and have never had any problems. It has plenty of room and is the first fridge Ive had in which the crisper drawer actually does its job. My refrigerator keeps food cold if the power goes out too.

Salespeople should be required to tell you that according to customer service and tech support at Sears They just dont make them like they used to and that seems to be ok. You spend a few thousand dollars for a year of refrigeration so two years later your appliance will cost another $700. No one cares. Just want to warn you.

Kenmore is a brand that has been around for years and has my faith in it. The brand is held highly and the quality name makes me feel good about the purchase. The refrigerator and freezer do serve the purpose that they were purchased. It has a nice amount of room for storage in the refrigerator as well as the freezer. The freezer has an ice maker that makes ice but it clumps together. And even with a new filter the ice maker makes ice that taste like plastic. But I expect the refrigerator to last many years to come.

So far so good. My freezer part is very cold and my fridge is very cold as well, and its very spacey as well. My door can be used on either the right or left side so that is a plus as well for me and my family.

I purchased a Kenmore Coldspot model #105 March 8th of 2014. Last year had a factory water line break and ruin my kitchen floor and drywall in the basement. I filed a claim and received a check for the damages (No problem things happen). Now 1 year and 4 months after purchase (4 months past the expiration date of the warranty) the fridge has stopped cooling. Had to take all of our food to my wifes grandmas house at 10:30 at night. Called the repair service line and they tell me since its out of warranty it will cost me 90 dollars plus whatever parts are needed to get a technician out to the house. OR pay 40 dollars for the extended warranty and then 60 dollars every time a tech has to come out. I feel like a fridge should last AT LEAST 5-10 years right? If Im forced to buy a replacement then I will never buy from Sears again. Im so outraged I can barely think. What can I do?

If you think you are buying a TRUE Kenmore product you are not. If you buy a refrigerator you are buying an LG refrigerator. Read the reviews on LG made products before you buy one. They are abysmal. I have a 4 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator, made by LG, that has been out for over 3 weeks. Sears will not replace it and so far they havent been able to fix it. Terrible customer service and a subcontractor technician who is actually a part changer. They dont come out to fix the refrigerator but to troubleshoot and order parts they think might be the problem. What a joke. After 3 techs and numerous parts ordered and installed I still have no refrigerator. The latest possible fix date is the 26th of July. The refrigerator failed on the 25th of June.

We purchased four Kenmore applications 3 years ago… to my disappointment the refrigerator stopped working and I did not get an extended warranty. I thought if I was investing my hard earned money on a name like Kenmore it would last longer than that. But to my amazement even when I’m paying to have it fixed I have to wait 1 weeks to get it fixed. We took time off to get it fixed just to get a call at 4:00 that he’s not coming. I do not like to buy no name products. Theyre not trustworthy. I need to have a report for reliable information to decide if the product is great. The name Kenmore is someone I can trust. The refrigerator has nice color tone and clean edges. It has a great many drawers and easy to clean. The size is good for my needs but could always be bigger. Not enough freezer space as always as and the depth and height could be more. Need drawers and more space like a fridge. Bigger freezer is always a necessity.

I purchased my new refrigerator from Sears four years ago. The ice maker did not produce ice. For 2 1/2 years they would come to repair for it to only last approx. 6 months before breaking down again. After the 3rd year a tech comes and explains that the ice maker has been recalled, its non repairable. Now year 4, the unit stopped cooling! They come and replace the control board because it was on recall too. Really??? Now Im on technician visit number 6 within 2 weeks. Day after installation of new board... warm again!!! No freezer, no refrigerator. Maam its your compressor. Another week for compressor to arrive, installed, nothing. The thing is warmer with new compressor. Why??!! I have had 9 visits as of date, new and updated compressor, new ice maker, and new control board. Nothing is working!!! Im sooo frustrated now that no one wants to take ownership. It is model number 795.74032.411. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! DONT PURCHASE!!! Sears is not standing behind its product at all.

My girlfriend always wanted a Kenmore refrigerator and it was tax time. We had a great deal and was going to get the one that had the see through front but decided on the one we got. I have always been told that they were a very dependable brand. I like that it was strong, looked like steel, had lots of capacity and had the freezer at the bottom. Im just getting used to the freezer being switched around. However, the fridge dented my pocketbook.

To wash the inside of refrigerator I removed crisper drawers fairly easily (had a little problem getting them out). When trying to get them back in, they wont go in. I worked with it for 2 hrs. I even stood the drawer on the counter and tried to attach the shelf to the drawer. The refrigerator itself works Wonderfully (hard to get a new water filter... any ideas?). I just cant get the drawers back in. I did it a couple times before and it was very tricky, but neither me nor my wife can get it back in this time. Satisfied, but not happy until I get this figured out.

I love the fridge. I switched from Frigidaire. It keep food fresh longer... Ice tray overflows quickly. I have to remember to cut it off occasionally. Great size. Enough space on both side. Love the number of drawers... enough shelves. Good door space for condiments. Easy to open. It has a nice sleek appearance. I love the chrome color. The handles arent bulky. Its a perfect height and size for my kitchen and the space allowed for a fridge. It was purchased in a bundle deal with other appliances. The price was right about where it should be for the fridge. I havent had any problems with it that cost me more money so I would have to say its a good value.

The freezer work perfectly fine. Its a standard refrigerator and it performed as I expected a refrigerator freezer to. The refrigerator met and exceeded my expectations in terms of space. Now as far as the freezer is concerned it was able to hold much more than the regular items that I would keep stored in the freezer. Standard refrigerator on bottom with freezer on top standard regular white nothing fancy but nice and clean. Sturdy handles on both refrigerator and freezer. Pretty good value for the money. Thank goodness isnt overly price. While comparing prices to other brands the Kenmore was the best value for the particular model that I got.

And they are very affordable. Its energy efficient. It runs well. A very great refrigerator. They are very great quality, available in different sizes. Nice to have in the kitchen.

The refrigerator runs smoothly. The space available in the freezer was great for a family of 4. The refrigerator portion was spacious and easily configured. I was able to store my food and beverages in such a way to always be able to find what I needed. The ease of cleaning and maintain the inside and out was easy and quick. This refrigerator was a basic model and we chose it for that reason. It blended into the space to let the special features of our kitchen shine. After looking at many different refrigerators and comparing prices, reliability, and availability, we found this refrigerator to be the best for our budget.

My Kenmore refrigerator has been running strong for 20 years! We have never needed a single repair. It doesnt even look outdated. No one would know its 20 years old and has been in 3 homes as we have moved.

This refrigerator is manufactured by LG. It looks great however don’t let that fool you. It’s a piece of junk! After just 3 years the compress, and cooling fan failed. The internet is full of complaints about this refrigerator and LG about the compressors failing. It’s a major issues and very costly to repair. The compressor is covered. You see the warranty however expect the labor to cost about $500 bucks for the repair. I complained to Sears to no avail. A relative of mine has the same refrigerator in the LG brand and the compressor has gone out 4 times in two years. So it is common for them to go out numerous times. LG should step up and recall these refrigerators and offer replacements. I definitely see a class action lawsuit coming. This is a major design flaw! Do not buy Kenmore elite or LG you will regret it!

Ive had my Kenmore Elite refrigerator (model # 795.72053-112) for 18 months. Its broken down 5 times. They cant seem to fix it and they wont replace it. (Apparently, if they dont change out a part, it doesnt count). I think ice is building up behind the unit.

I love my Kenmore refrigerator. My experience has been great. I have the exact refrigerator that I wanted. Its silver color with two side by sides doors. So far everything works good. I am under warranty but this is the best investment I ever made.

We purchased a Sears Kenmore Side by Side refrigerator because the Kenmore name has always been known to be of good quality that lasts for years. Ours started leaking out the front of the ice/water dispenser about 5 years ago, even when it was turned off and unplugged. It in turn caused rust stains on the entire door underneath the dispenser. I have cleaned it off but it keeps coming back - it is not plugged in and we are no longer using it. I finally removed the square piece around the panel to find out what I could. I found out that the area around the dispenser under the plastic panel had eroded away. Now the door is ruined and pieces of it fall off if you try to put the square piece back on the panel. The refrigerator still works well, but we dont have the water hooked up to use the dispenser. Its too embarrassing when guests come over and there is rust running all down the front of the refrigerator.

Had for a while now. Lots of space to store food. Would be nice if freezer was a bit bigger. Drawers can sometimes be difficult to open and close though. Overall would buy again. The main refrigerator size is good. Plenty of space for storage. The rails on the door can be annoying if something tips over and is small enough, can fall out. Freezer could be bigger. Appearance looks good. However if you have kids you, their fingerprints will show up all over the front panels. Easy to wipe and clean, but just gets annoying with all the smudges. I dont remember the exact cost, but it was on the affordable side but still a nice fridge. Very comparable to the higher end more expensive models we saw.

Kenmore has been a long-standing reputable company for years. I have never had any issues and their customer service representatives have always been helpful. The refrigerator has plenty of room. Our fridge is constantly being opened and is always running. The ice maker is constantly being put to work! However, I would love it if the parts on the drawers were made of a better material. The cheese drawer or small drawer is constantly getting shoved and comes off the sliding rail and has cracked in several spots.

We need a new refrigerator and I am not sure yet if it will be a Kenmore. It did seem to stop functioning in some areas too soon. The ice maker stopped working and the refrigerator now leaks.

Sold this unit with our last home, which we had for 7 years. Good interior design layout, no frost problems, energy efficient and easy to clean and maintain. A good height for low ceiling homes. We were very happy with the layout of the refrigerator side; the door shelves are well placed and interior shelving is adjustable. The freezer is a little cramped, but that is a sacrifice for an ice maker. Height is great for lower ceiling homes. The refrigerator looked beautiful in the kitchen, it is easy to match with other appliances. Its easy to clean and resists scratches and stains. The price was comparable to other models in its class - we could have gotten a lesser known brand with a freezer below, but decided to go with the Kenmore because of the reputation and warranty.

I have a Kenmore Refrigerator (model 253.6000), purchased 11 months ago by my husband for our garage. It has quit working twice, thawing all of the food in the freezer. There is no garage kit for this model and no information in the owners manual that informs the consumer that the unit will stop working in the summer and winter during extreme temperatures. I have been informed that it was manufactured by Frigidaire.

I like how fast it dries clothing and the overall look in my house. I got this brand on a good deal also and I would recommend it and I will always buy it because it is so good. Its a high-quality brand that I trust. I also own a washer and a fridge from the same brand.

Its a nice basic looking fridge/freezer combination. I dont like a big fancy fridge and I dont need a fancy ice maker and filtered water spout. I can make my own ice cubes. Im a basic person. I like the color white because it is easy to tell when it gets dirty and needs a good wipe down. I love how it has enough space on the door shelves to fit milk and juice etc. The fresh drawers are plenty big to fit a head of lettuce and other produce too and the freezer is the perfect size for what I need to store. Also, always keeps food the right temperature and the price was perfect for people or families on a budget.

The fridge met my expectations. It was spacious and had a very large ice bin. The flaw to that was that it limited freezer space so we had to get a chest freezer for the rest of our food. I was still satisfied with it. It was a little spacey but we were able to get it in the spot where we wanted. If it were just a couple of centimeters thinner, I would have been more satisfied. I thought it was a little too expensive but we bought it anyway since it appeared to meet our expectations.

Ice maker stopped working and temperature in refrigerator in the high 60s. Problems started mid June. It is now July 24th. 3 visits from repair tech still not working. Another 17 day lead time for another appt. You have to send blanket emails, make countless calls to get anywhere. If you were counting on LEGENDARY Sears customer satisfaction motto forget it. Research online and you can read for yourself the multiple posting of customers having serious issues with this fridge. I regret not researching my choice better. BUYER BEWARE!

We always look for the brand Kenmore as it has always been dependable and weve never had any problems with that brandmaker. The price was perfect for our budget, the style was exactly what we were looking for and it had an ice maker. We like the double doors & its lasted over 30 years with no problems. Though Id like them to have wider freezer side and a different color such as white since mine is an ugly almond.

Poorly made, does not stand up to everyday use. I didnt have this refrigerator long before the ice crusher mode went out, shelf cracked that holds the deli drawer, door shelf that holds milk broke, and now the ice maker is leaking. What else is going to happen before it goes out. I am going back to my Amana. No more kenmores for me.

In September 2014 we purchased a brand new Kenmore 26.2 cu ft French door refrigerator, purchased at Sears as a replacement for a Frigidaire refrigerator that had a damage ice/water dispenser. The refrigerator was installed October 13, 2014, and 2 days ago, the ice maker suddenly stopped producing ice. We had always have problems with low ice production, that would not keep up with 2 teenage boys using ice all day long, but it had never stopped producing ice completely.To my surprise the warranty on the refrigerator is for 12 months. I did not purchase the extended warranty since I had never had problems with Kenmore appliances, and believed it would not get damaged. My mistake perhaps was not to notice that the warranty was for only 12 months!! In my previous refrigerator there was access to the ice maker, and one could manually reset the system so if an ice cube was stuck you could easily fix the problem yourself. With this refrigerator, the ice maker is in to top, not accessible or removable except for a trained technician. Its really disappointing that an almost new appliance would have a faulty system. It makes me rethink what brand to buy next time Im in the market for appliances.

It seems to last forever which is great, because it cuts down on having to pay someone to work on it, or have to purchase a new one. My refrigerator is smaller than my last one. I wanted it smaller, to save on space in my kitchen. It has plenty of room. I have room in the door, a place to put my fresh fruit to keep it fresher longer, pullout shelves, and it is large enough for our family. My refrigerator goes with the rest of my appliances in my kitchen. It has a light for the ice and water in the freezer door. Inside is very roomy for anything I need to put in it. The price of our refrigerator was very reasonable, with the durability of the Kenmore product are well worth the money. I would recommend the Kenmore products to anyone.

We were finally able to purchase all new and matching appliances. We did our homework and it seemed the Sears Kenmore products were the best rated, what a mistake. As I write this we have a tech out for the second time working on the refrigerator. It doesnt make ice, now the fan started malfunctioning, now its not cool inside but there is ice collecting. At this point if I could afford it I would try and sue Sears. My dream kitchen is turning into a nightmare! I bought a Kenmore bottom freezer fridge from Sears in 2017. After about 6 months I noticed a pool of water in my fridge. After calling a refrigeration company (because Sears had closed in our town at this point) I was advised to unplug and thaw my fridge. It worked ok, but after about three months my fridge had a bottom full of water and was warm. So, I thawed it again and that worked for 6 more month! Haha! Now it has died. This fridge is only 1 1/2 years old!! I decided to look at the reviews for this fridge, ya know, for fun, of course they are terrible! Lesson learned. I will research more for my next fridge. We paid over $3300.00 7 years ago for this top of the line fridge. Loved it until it died. Compressor shot and guess what? The compressor is an LG. Why is an LG part in a Kenmore or rather a GE or Whirlpool appliance? It would cost us more to replace the compressor and labor than to buy a new one. And we had a warranty... 5 years. I realize Kenmore no longer makes its own appliances and that’s a shame because they used to be the very best. But honestly this is really beyond my comprehension. No wonder Sears is going under. Shame, shame. We gave my daughter and her husband our old side by side Whirlpool more than 20 years ago and it’s still humming along. Guess we’ll be carefully looking for a new fridge tonight. Buyer beware.

If you are asked the question how long you expect a refrigerator to last, it would certainly be more than 5 years - more than likely 10-15 years. I have a 4 year old Kenmore refrigerator with a bottom freezer and the technical sent by Sears is telling me that he could attempt a repair for $500 which may or may not work (he said he would not trust that it would repair the fridge). He basically said I need a new refrigerator. I paid over $1300 for this appliance and I certainly expect it to last more than 4 years. Of course I did not purchase the warranty because you expect appliances to last. The technician is offering us a $100 coupon - you know where he can put that! I will not buy another Kenmore appliance. You would think that someone at Sears would be reviewing these reviews and take some action to correct their customer dissatisfaction.

It works. The best part is I do not have to think about it like worrying about your car getting a flat tire. The fridge keeps food cold and I DO NOT HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT. ONE ISSUE IS the plastic drawers did crack after a while so they get stuck. That is only problem.

The overall size isn’t too bulky in small kitchens. The size of this refrigerator is actually average for this type of appliance without actually being too bulky for small kitchens. It’s bigger inside than it seems. Looking at the overall value - functionality, size, and appearance - this refrigerator is well worth the cost. Especially after you start seeing the difference in electric bills!
