This is a great refrigerator. Its size really lets us keep everything we need in it and also, it has an alarm to let you know that the door has been left open.

I have been a Kenmore brand customer for decades. Purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator 5 years ago and it died last week. Called Sears and was told the earliest appointment they had available was two weeks in the future. They provided the name and number for another repair company who might be available sooner. When I called that company, they wanted to charge me nearly $300 for a service call. I promptly hung up the phone on that rip off artist. I called Sears back to ask how much they charge for a service call and was told $99. I could not believe that Sears would provide a referral to such a company. I finally found a local company who for $89 plus an extra emergency fee of $45 came out the next day to diagnose the problem. Turns out the compressor died. While the fridge no longer has a store warranty, the compressor has a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty. So I call Sears to order a new compressor. I am told that they cannot work off of a diagnosis provided by another company so I am back to a two week wait for one of their technicians at a cost of $99 for the service call, to come out and tell me what another company already has. Then after that the part has to be ordered and the repair scheduled. Plus I have to pay for labor charges to have the new compressor installed, which I am sure will come to hundreds of dollars. While I am tempted to purchase a new fridge I decided against it. If the new compressor lasts 1-2 years it allows me to defer the price tag of a new refrigerator for at least 12 months. This piece of crap ran nearly $3k with delivery and install. We were told by the repair guy to stay away from Kenmore, LG, Samsung and Frigidaire because they are all a bunch of crap with a lot of issues. Apparently these brands just stick their names on products manufactured by other companies. Needless to say I will never purchase another Kenmore appliance or the other brands noted by the repair technician.

The refrigerator is beautiful. It is top of the line and I would seriously recommend that to other consumers like me. It has so much space and storage, so great! The size is perfect for holding a lot of stuff. The storage is crazy. It is really light and moveable, just in case you move. Youll be surprised the difference in a picture and real life. The appearance of this refrigerator is great. Its so shiny you can see yourself from it. Its slick and hot, I cant get over the look. You have to get this! The value is a lot. Depends on how you use it and take care of it. Make sure you dont make the value go down too low. I hope I am being helpful.

Hi, I hope you are able to help me. I could not find any other way of reaching Sears to get an answer. We just purchased a refrigerator at Sears in the Volusia Mall, Daytona Beach, FL. We then went to our local small Sears store (Palm Coast, FL) to get a part that we needed for the install. The gal at the Palm Coast store asked why we had not purchased from them. We did go there first but they did not have the model on the floor that I needed to see. It was only available in Daytona. Which by the way, the local store would not tell me. They wanted me to look at a picture. My question is this: The gal at the local store said since we did not purchase the refrigerator from them they would not answer any questions for us or help us in any way. WHAT? I thought Sears was Sears no matter where you were located. We will never use them for anything again but I want clarification of the information we were given. Is it true that you can only seek assistance from the store you purchased an appliance from? What happens if you move? Seems very fishy to me. Thanks so much for listening. I got the black model, and I love it - very shiny - only downside is that it does show spills and splashes a lot. Inside, it is very bright and clean looking. Overall, very slick! I have no complaints about the size, has more than ample space for a 3-4 person family - the freezer is more than adequate for two weeks of frozen goods - and while my fridge is usually very stocked, I dont run out of room! Fridge works fantastically - I set everything around the middle setting and havent had to adjust it too much. It stays cold and frozen - cleans easily - and hasnt broken down yet! Also, not overpriced and you get your moneys worth with this model!

Ive owned this refrigerator for 10 years and its always performed perfectly. The food stays fresh without getting dried out and its easy to clean. All the food I need for a family of 4 fits easily and I especially like how I can put a gallon of milk on the door. Sometimes I wish for a bigger freezer, but my kitchen would not accommodate it. Its a pretty standard-looking refrigerator and would not stand out in a crowd. But it matches the look of my kitchen and I am more interested in how it works than how it looks. This refrigerator was one of the least expensive we found while we were shopping but its a great performer. It had the extras we wanted without all of the bells and whistles and was a great price.

The refrigerator works pretty well. It had a nice temperature - not freezing, not melting. Much better than my last fridge - never seemed to work. This fridge was a challenge to get into the house but is quite small once past the doorway. I would suggest finding a nice corner for the fridge of this size. The metallic look fits in with my kitchen theme. I love the modern feel, and this refrigerator is right for me! I would suggest having a black countertops... It looked nice in my house. The cost was not ridiculously high because of the good quality, however, it could be a little bit cheaper to purchase. It was worth the money spent on it.

The refrigerator had enough capacity for a family of five. It never failed us until it grew old, 15 years. It was reliable, durable and efficient. I would recommend the Kenmore refrigerator to a family member or friend. The size met our requirements and the area provided in our kitchen. There was ample room for the different food types that we used. The freezer, while not overly large, provided enough room to store the frozen food items that were part of our normal need. It was a cream colored refrigerator. It was plain to the eye. We purchased it for utilization, not a fashion statement. The freezer on the top was easy to get into. The bottom allowed for easy access to clean under the refrigerator. Considering the length of time that our refrigerator serviced us, the price was very cost effective. The refrigerator lasted for fifteen years until we decided to upgrade.

Kenmore Elite Refrigerator - I have owned this refrigerator for less than 2 years and it had stopped working. It took 2 weeks for Sears to even be able to come out to look at it. He diagnosed it was the compressor and another 2 weeks for the part to arrive and be replaced. He came back out and replaced the compressor. That night the refrigerator never got colder than 60°. I am currently waiting another week for them to return to look at it again at which point it will probably take another 2 weeks to order another part and install it. I am looking to see if there are any lawsuits against Sears ad obviously these are faulty parts on their refrigerators. And I am extremely disappointed to find out that it is an LG brand refrigerator under Kenmores name. So very unhappy.

Ive owned a Kenmore refrigerator in my new apartment that I recently moved into. The fridge is nice, nothing has gone wrong with it yet. The freezer keeps all of the items nice and cold and I havent had any sign of freezer burn on anything. The fridge is nice, keeps everything fresh and has no smells like my old fridge. Its white in color, which looks great and also has a water and ice spout on the front, which is great for grabbing an easy glass of ice water. Very nice, and works great!

It was a refrigerator in my first house. It was a freezer on top of a refrigerator with an ice maker. Wasnt anything top of the line. Just my first refrigerator. It was beige in color and had a decent capacity. I lived in that house for 15 years and never replaced that refrigerator. Not had it serviced by a repairman.

Do NOT buy this refrigerator! I purchased the Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Refrigerator (Model 79574043410) in April 2015 from Sears. In the first month the fan quit working. Had that repaired. It is now 27 months later and the compressor has quit. Dead. This happened on a Thursday and a repair person could not be scheduled to come out until Tuesday. They do NOT work weekends! Fortunately I kept calling until they agreed to come on Monday. As I suspected and reported to them it was indeed the compressor. As stated by the service technician they have been having quite a few compressors on these go out. The compressor would have to be ordered and supposedly would be in by Wednesday but they cannot schedule a repair appointment in advance until they actually have the part. It is now Thursday, a week from my initial request for repair and there is no compressor in sight. Hence no repair in sight as yet either. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty but in hindsight I am now stuck with this worthless appliance until 2020. I had to pay extra for counter depth when purchasing it and to now have a 2 yr old refrigerator with a dead compressor is despicable. By the way the max food loss allowance is $250.00 for a claim. I will never again buy another Kenmore product nor from a company that cannot reasonably get the parts and fix it in a timely manner!

Just had a tech from Sears come over after a week to order a part (circuit board). Guess what? It doesnt match anymore as new Kenmore/Whirlpool parts are not backward compatible. I was told to throw this $3K ref on the curb side and get a new one as it is unlikely repairable. I have never had refrigerator break down like this that cannot be repaired or issues with parts. Leave alone I had to pay $85 for the service call twice with no benefit.

Kenmore 795.71023 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - I purchased this refrigerator in 2011, and it stopped working late last year (no longer kept food cold and/or frozen; eventually, there was no cooling whatsoever). The first local repairman came out in January and said it was probably the compressor, and did not do any testing because he said that it would void the warranty. He charged me $59 and said to call Sears. I called Sears and was shocked to discover that this compressor only had a one year warranty (and no, I did not purchase the extended warranty).After researching this fridge and the specific LG compressor, I am even more shocked by the poor quality and track record of this compressor. After the initial $1,400+ purchase, am I really supposed to spend another $700-$900 dollars to have this fridge fixed, having owned it for only 4 1/2 years? My previous fridge was a Kenmore and was still in working condition after 19+ years, which is why I purchased this brand. All I have been offered is the ability to make a service call, minimum charge of $95. Really?

I purchased a Kenmore Refrigerator Model # 795.78412.800 in the Fall of 2008. The unit had to be unplugged and plugged back in to reset in order for it to work (had to do that at least 5 times since purchase). After a year, the bottom shelf hardware broke and the crisper drawer cracked and had to be repaired (see pictures). In June 2012, an error code came on the freezer door and the icemaker was no longer working! I had a repairman come to look at the problem for a $500.00 fix (we choose not to fix it at this time)! After reading the reviews, it seems if you fix the fan for $500.00, there is still a good chance of it breaking again. This is ridiculous since this unit is less than 5 years old! I think a credit on a new fridge is warranted! I have been a loyal Kenmore buyer over the years but have been severely disappointed with the poor quality of this refrigerator.

It freezes well and keep my food fresh. I had it for 1 year and half. I have no problems with it so far. It provides enough space for the amount food I buy. The compartments work well. It is easy to clean. I do not need a big refrigerator with all of those modern mechanisms. It is the right size for me. I live alone but I have enough room if another person was to live with me. My refrigerator is white to match the decor of my kitchen. It fits perfectly in the space designated for it. It does not take up a lot of room. The vegetable and fruit compartments work very well. My vegetable stay fresh for a long time. I can my ginger ale liters in the soda compartment. It is spacious if I wanted to buy a lot of food. The freezer is a good size for the amount of frozen food I purchase. I really feel happy with my new refrigerator. It does not make a lot of noise. For the price I paid for it I did get a better value than expected. Kenmore products are usually good quality. It is not so big but it has good features and it is modern. It is of good size if it needs to be moved anywhere. It is not too high for things that I place on top of it. The doors open well and close well.

I chose this Kenmore refrigerator when my 4 year old LG refrigerator was unrepairable due to a $40 part and the Sears warranty paid me out to get a new refrigerator. This refrigerator has met my expectations. I like the bright LED lights. They make everything easy to see and it really brighten up the whole refrigerator. The air filter is really good at keeping food smells out and keeping it smelling fresh. The French doors are great that you can open the two doors and you can see everything. The large bottom freezer is nice with two drawers on the top which is great at keeping things organized. The deli drawer is great as well that you can see what deli meats and cheese you have. However, I dislike where the water filter is placed. It takes up room on the top shelf, it would be better if it was placed in another spot. The shelves that slide in to make room for taller items are really useless. When you slide the one shelf in you are unable to get to the back of 2 shelfs without removing the tall items. The ice maker because it is in the door is small and the ice gets stuck and you have to break it up so you can get it out of the door.

We bought a Kenmore Elite 27.5 cu ft refrigerator 3 years ago. It stopped cooling and a service technician came out the next day and replaced the compressor. This fixed the problem for 3 days when it went bad again and we were told the new compressor was bad. We waited 10 days for the next service call when we were told that it was not the compressor, but an internal leak which was not under warranty and we needed to replace the entire unit. Our last refrigerator lasted more than 10 years without a problem. Even at 3 years, I would not have expected an epic failure that could not be repaired requiring us to purchase an entirely new unit. Disappointed in the lack of longevity of the unit. Will not buy Kenmore again.

Easy maintenance refrigerator. Keeps food cool but does not cost a lot in energy bills each month. Its a quiet running appliance. Very easy to clean and has a frost free freezer. This is a good enough size for a family of 4. I can buy some meats ahead of time and store them in the freezer. Large enough to hold soda bottles or gallons of milk. Nice looking, easy to maintain appearance. Very easy to clean. We got many friends and relatives making positive comments about the appearance. The value was good. When we bought it we were hoping to get many years out of this and so far it has lived up to our standards. I would highly suggest this brand and would buy again in the future if need be.

My refrigerator is nearly 2 years old. Almost a year ago it developed a loud vibrating noise at certain times it was running. Ive had Sears service people visit three times and whenever they were here, the noise wasnt happening, so they said that they couldnt do anything about it. One of them tightened some screws, to no avail. So I constantly put with the noise. The only recourse I have is to keep calling Sears and hope they will arrive when the noise is occurring, or luck out and get a technician who will actually look into the workings of the unit to try to get the noise to occur. Is anyone having this type of problem with their Model 71033?

It did all of the things that I needed it to do and it fit in the space that I had. I would have preferred a larger one, but space was limited in my kitchen. I wished I could have had one that had a slightly larger freezer area but they were space constraints.. Otherwise I was completely satisfied. It had a good clean look, of course. I could only choose from either black or white. Again it had to do with the size that I had room for. The value of the refrigerator, freezer was very good for me. I purchased from sears and I was even able to receive a refund for the entire cost of delivery.

Its great and never stops working on me. It never defrosts or freezes up as well. The sticks on the computer never get loose either. It also has a great price. The size is big and can fit all of my food especially the refrigerator. It never lets my stuff get too hard or moldy either. I can fit a lot of food in there also. The appearance is nice. Its gray color and it looks fancy and up to date. A lot the gray color doesnt fade and the stainless steel doesnt get rusty or mold on it. The value is great and I got it at a discounted price because Im a loyal customer at a particular store. Also the squad came into my home and set it up for me.

Kenmore refrigerators are great. Ive had my same one for about 2 years now and have had absolutely no problems with it at all. Im very satisfied. I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a refrigerator. Its well worth the price and last way longer than I thought it would.

Model 18 cu ft top freezer 79568039 - What idiot designs a fridge with an egg shelf that is 2 INCHES SHORTER than a standard carton of eggs. We have to cut off the last 2 inches of the carton and put the extra 2 eggs in a bowl on a shelf in the fridge in order to use the egg shelf. Another thing... the two handles on the freezer and lower door have right angles on the corners (very sharp) which are constantly crashing against your elbow when reaching in or out of the fridge. Could have been solved by putting a radius on the handles, but then it wouldnt be as aesthetically pleasing. Dont you people ever have a focus group of people you give these products to, to be able to actually USE them and discover these problems, before spending tons of money to bring them to market???

The freezer works very well - foods and ice cream doesnt thaw. The vegetable drawers keep fresh fruits and vegetables fresh for a week or longer. I like the size. My household size is small, and we do not require as much space as a larger family would need. This size might not work well for a larger household. I like the color - its neutral enough to fit into the decor of my kitchen if I decide to redecorate or repaint the room. Ive repainted the room twice since purchasing the refrigerator, and I havent needed to take the color of the appliance into consideration when choosing new colors. The refrigerator has worked well over the eleven years Ive owned it. It hasnt needed any repairs as of now. I feel Ive received a quality product at a reasonable price.

On 21 August 2011, we returned home from after a weekend away and noticed that our Sears Kenmore refrigerator (Model: 71309) was not working at all. We have purchased this appliance in June of 2009 with a three year extended warranty. We assumed that since the manufacturer warranties the appliance for the first year, our protection would begin once that ended. Clearly, we were misinformed at the time of our purchase. The entire contents of the freezer/refrigerator were lost. We placed a call to 1-800-4MY-HOME and were informed that our protection agreement expired on 30 June 2011 (not quite two months prior). We were told at that time that a technician could not even come to look at the refrigerator until 09 September 2011. When asked if there was any way someone could come and, at least, look at it before then to determine what was wrong, we were told no. On 22 August 2011, I called 1-800-4MY-HOME again to try to discuss any possible options since we buy all of our appliances from Sears. Meanwhile, I had to have another company come out to look at the unit for $89.00 to, at least, find out what was wrong. They came on on 24 August 2011 and determined that the mother board fuse was blown and a whole new mother board must be installed.On 22 August 2011, I spoke with Ella after calling the 1-800 number. Ella was helpful. She informed me that we could purchase a one year extension for our appliance for $163.98. I asked if we could possibly have a courtesy extension to help move the service request along and perhaps avoid the $89.00 fee for someone else to come and look at the refrigerator, she advised no. Once we paid the one year extension of $163.98, we could schedule an emergency service call where someone would come out within five days. I asked why we were not notified that our warranty was going to expire, and was told that no notification was being sent out. Only as a courtesy, we were given the option of extending for the $163.98. I then asked if we could schedule the emergency service first and then my fiance would just call back to give our credit card information. She said no and that we must call back and pay the extension first before we could schedule. My fiance called back that same day and was given an extremely hard time. At first, they told him that the amount to pay was $251.00. He said that I had just called an hour or so ago and was told $163.98. He was told again that it was $251.00. He called me to ask who I spoke with and I advised him that it was Ella. Finally, after being transferred three times, the amount of $163.98 was found to be the amount to pay. Then, when tried to activate the Emergency Service call, they told him that no one could come out until 07 September. He said that there should be a note saying that we are requesting an emergency service because we had been without the refrigerator since 21 August 11. Reluctantly, a call was scheduled for 29 August 2011 between 1 - 4. We asked that a note be put on the account stating that this could not be cancelled. On 29 August 2011, after taking the afternoon off from work, we received a call at 3:30 saying that the technician had called out sick and they had to cancel the appointment. (Why wait until 3:30?) Then, we asked, Does it say that this appointment cannot be cancelled? The reply was, Yes, but there was no technician available to come. They could reschedule for 30 August 2011 between 1 - 4 again. We were not happy but we agreed. I also called to inquire about the food we lost and was told to give the list to the technician. He would have to call the food loss department and verify a few things.On 30 August 2011, at about 3:45, we received the call that the technician was running much too late to get there, asking if could they reschedule. My fiance had been home since 1:00 p.m. After he informed me of this, I called the escalated customer solutions phone number and was treated with no respect stating that we were given the option of cancelling. This was done if your customers had to go back to work or had other plans. I said that the technician wanted to cancel the appointment again. It was already too late to return to work and we had taken two half days already. This was unacceptable. I advised that I didnt care how late they were going to be. I would be there and I wanted a technician to arrive, prepared to fix my refrigerator. The lady on the phone reluctantly checked with scheduling and I was told that someone would be there that day. She could not give me a time, though.I left work and headed home. Half way home, my fiance called to say that the technician arrived at 4:20 and was there for 9 minutes. The technician determined that the mother board was blown, had to order a part, and no one could come back until 14 September to install it (This was Karl from the Blue team). Karl then proceeded to tell my fiance that if he was handy with a screwdriver (since the part was being mailed to our home), my fiance could open up the back of the refrigerator and install the part himself. Wouldnt this void my warranty that I just purchased? He then said that the part would arrive Thursday to our home. My fiance stated that he was not going to install it himself and when he said that he had the food list to give to the technician to call the food loss department, Karl said that he couldnt take that list. It wouldnt be covered anyway, and there was nothing he could do. We would have to wait until the unit was repaired to even attempt to call it in. My fiance was at a loss of words. Karl left after being there for a total of 9 minutes. My fiance called me as I was still on my way home so I attempted to call Sears again and tried to explain that I was extremely dissatisfied with the events that took place. I was told to hold and the line got disconnected. (It was 4:45 when I called). When I called back, I was told that the offices were closed until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Needless to say, I was not very happy. When I arrived home, I was shocked to find in the mail a renew your warranty letter. The worst part? It said that I had until 03 October 2011 to renew. The cost? $130.00, which was $35.00 cheaper than what we had paid. I am finding all of this to be a huge game being played by Sears. The notice led me to believe that I was covered until 03 October, and to renew, all I had to do was reply and pay $130.00. But I had been disconnected earlier.At 8:00 a.m. on 31 August 2011, I was calling the escalated number once again. The person who answered, after asking for my phone number, did not even let me talk. She said, I see here that there is an emergency part ordered for you and it will be delivered tomorrow. I asked about the 14 September 2011 installation and why was I disconnected last night. She said, Hold on. No, we can have someone there Saturday. I dont know what 14 September you are talking about. I tried to explain what had happened but she said, I can read it all right here, no need. Is Saturday okay for you? Between 9 - 11? I said yes, but... She interrupted me and promptly said, Have a nice day, thank you for calling Sears, and hung up. I have never been so insulted by this entire process. At this point, if the technician does not arrive on Saturday, I would like my refrigerator replaced with a three year warranty.As a bright note, I called the food loss department myself on 1 September 2011. I spoke with Ashley, who was, I must say, amazing. I told her the whole story and asked if the department would be open on Saturday so the technician could call-in the food loss as I was instructed. She said, No, but I can see what a problem you have been having. She proceeded to process the food loss claim without any problems. She was absolutely amazing, nice and helpful. If my whole experience was like this, I would not have been so angry.On Friday, 02 September 2011, we received a call confirming our appointment for Saturday 03 September between 8 - 12. So, by 12:05, when no one had arrived, called or anything, I called the escalated number that I had been calling all week. They informed me that my account was locked and it had been referred to corporate with a case manager. They could not help me other than to pass my number along and have someone call me back within two hours. I expressed my extreme displeasure and the representative informed me that she understood and would have the corporate case manager call me.I decided to call the number that had confirmed our appointment just to ask why no one had appeared at our house. After holding for 17 minutes, the representative informed me that my appointment was cancelled. I said, What? Who cancelled it? You confirmed it yesterday. She said, Well that is an automated call. I said that I didnt care if it was automated or not. It was confirmed, and this is an emergency call that has been an emergency for a long time. I asked to speak to the person who decided to cancel this without letting us know and after holding for a considerable amount of time, my call was disconnected.I called the escalated number and after holding for 15 minutes, I was informed again that my account was locked and referred to corporate. The representative assured me that she would take my number to her manager (who would get in touch with the case manager) and someone would call me back shortly. I had been at home waiting since 8:00 a.m. and it was now 2 p.m.Then, I received a call from case manager Edwins assistant**. She stated that she reviewed my case and that she understood my frustration. Edwin would contact me today. I explained that I would have never known the appointment had been cancelled had I not called them several times. I informed her that I was completely aggravated and that I could no longer afford to take any time from work. It has been 17 days without a refrigerator, I have been hung up on, given more excuses that I can count and lost time from work. I wanted either someone to come on my time to install the part or I wanted the refrigerator picked up and have my money refunded. At this point, I dont want anything from Sears in my home since its nearly impossible to get it fixed or get any help on an emergency situation. Ive had to eat out for three weeks, which I cannot afford. I cant go another day without a refrigerator.As I am typing this email, I received a call from a technician that he was at our home to install a part. I am flabbergasted. I informed him that someone was supposed to be there on Saturday but no one showed up. There was no one home today. He said, So, you are telling me that I cant install this? I said, That is what I am telling you. No one showed up on Saturday and we found out that it was cancelled after six hours of waiting. He said, I just install parts. I dont know anything else. I said, Well, there is no one home. No one knew you were coming. I know that its not your fault but this has been escalated to corporate. No one can get there because we had no idea you were coming.At 9:45, Rowland in routing just called me apologizing. He informed me that someone cancelled the appointment for Saturday, set it up for today without letting anyone know and that should not have happened. He doesnt understand why but he realizes that this was the wrong thing to do. He said that he can have someone come first appointment on Wednesday, 07 September 2011. Meanwhile, I still have no phone call from the case manager or corporate offices. This is completely unacceptable!Today, 07 September 2011, I just got off the phone with 1-800-469-4663 since Rowland informed me that we would be first on the appointment. But now, they informed me that I am on the schedule for tomorrow between 8 - 12. How much longer is this going to go on? I still have not received satisfaction/ resolution from the case manager. I still do not have a working refrigerator (this is Day 19) and again, we are being pushed off until another day. I feel like this is being treated as a joke. This is still completely unacceptable. I am tired of hearing we are sorry, this is beyond being sorry.

I am joining the conversation about the Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Our 2.5 year old fridge died on January 1st, 2018. After two visits from repairmen, the first guy ordered a part and we waited ten days, and then the second repairman came to install the part and said it was the wrong part, we need a new compressor. We are in need of a part to go with the compressor, a valve, that is just now being manufactured and they have no idea when this valve will be ready. Of course, I have to call Sears to see when the part will be available. No wonder Sears is going out of business, shoddy appliances, uninformed supervisors that can barely read off the of their scripts. I feel there is no one to turn to help alleviate this situation but am at the mercy of whenever Sears gets around to manufacturing parts. Stay away from Sears.

The space is very good and absorbent. I also enjoy the fact that this is the most top rated fridge in the northwest and it is very clean looking.

Don’t buy a Kenmore refrigerator. The ice/water system is a piece of crap. The ice dispenser won’t stop giving ice and now the water won’t turn off. Buyers beware. Can’t tell you how disappointed I am in this product.

It keeps things very cold and easy to adjust, works just fine and I have never had any problems out of it... Its been a great performance refrigerator for years and more to go I hope. I wish it was bigger but it can only hold so much food. Its ok for a fridge. It does its job of keeping things in the right place opening and closing the doors a lot. It just a plain white fridge. Its got shelves and drawers. It had a door handle and a freezer up top. Its ok, bought it a long time ago. So its doing its job and thats what we wanted out of it to make our food cold.

I loved the style and color, it was a perfect fit in my kitchen. It also was very functional as I had enough room inside to store all of my food and beverages. I also loved it kept my fruit and vegetables fresh and was perfect temperature for my freezer foods. It froze my foods but did not over freeze them in which no freezer burn. Very easy to keep clean as I have three kids and a husband. The different compartments made it helpful to keep different foods separated and plenty of room for taller items, milk, soda etc.

Purchased a 27 cubic ft. refrigerator July 2013. Installed by Sears and now there is a rust spot and dampness on the enclosed metal back. Its starting to rot. (Discovered when we cleaned behind it) Clearly a manufacturing defect, not enough insulation in the machine and is unrepairable the Sears serviceman reported. Also I have no recourse, didnt buy the expensive post purchase warranty. Given the run around by the people in Customer Solutions. Never buy anything again from Sears. Their products are substandard. It is clearly a manufacturing defect.

Quality material. Kept produce and other foods cold and fresh. Would recommend to anyone who is in the market for a new refrigerator. Knew the size I needed and wanted and this refrigerator fit the bill for what I wanted exactly. Plenty of room to store what I needed and then some. Gunmetal color went perfectly with the color of the rest of my decor in the kitchen. Really glad to have gotten the color I did when making the purchase. For the price that I paid and the quality of the refrigerator I got I couldnt be more happier. Solid material that doesnt dent and scratch easy.

We bought a Kenmore refrigerator just over one year ago, and now it wont stay cold (this was our 3rd fridge because the first two broke down leaking within the first couple weeks. They were under warranty so they were replaced). Anyhow, this third fridge lasted a whole year.... ridiculous. We spent $1,000 on the appliance. Average lifespan of a fridge is about 7 years. Our warranty was one year, therefore we had no warranty left. When trying to call to talk to someone I could never get through EVER. I tried several times. I then tried the chat service. I made an appt (only time available was a month out). I tried several times through the chat service to complain about the fact that we have only had it a little over one year. No one could help me, they would just say sorry, for the inconvenience. I continued to get the runaround. They would just send me to all different departments via the chat service.I also tried four different phone numbers (that were either given to me on their online chat service or phone numbers I saw on online) however, ALL the different phone numbers linked me back to the same automated service. I was on hold for over one hour and hung up because no one answered. NO ONE helped me. I am shocked. Since we have only had the fridge for a little over a year, I felt that it would be nice to talk to someone about this and hope to get some sort of discount. Never will I ever purchase a Kenmore appliance again. Awful support and customer service. I have never written a negative review before so please take this in consideration. I would hate for anyone to waste as much time as I did.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite 30CF bottom freezer refrigerator in October 2014. We thought we were buying top of the line for many years of peace of mind. By March that refrigerator had so many problems and 6 repairs. Kenmore agreed to send a replacement in April 2015. It is now September 2015 and the second replacement refrigerator has had 4 repairs. Kenmore will not even offer an extended warranty to stand behind their product and my $3,000. Yesterday the refrigerator was repaired again. Well see how long it lasts. All Kenmore says is that the replacement in April comes with a new 1-year warranty and to contact Sears to purchase an extended warranty. Like I want to invest more money into this piece of crap? Ill start saving that money towards its replacement which will likely be in a few short years, if that. This purchase has been such a nightmare. I do not plan on buying from Sears or Kenmore ever again in the future.

It lasted for fifteen years and I loved it. Once I have more money I do plan on buying me another Kenmore refrigerator. Good brand that is reliable and good quality products. Definitely a keeper. Never a disappointment.

I chose and always use Kenmore because it has always worked for me for a really long time and has always met my standard. Its very reliable and I love how big and spacious it is. But the thing I disliked about it was that the freezer and the bottoms drawers are kinda small. Could have been a little bigger. And I wish there were more colors to choose from. Other than that, its the best refrigerator brand Ive ever owned.

Never had any problems. Had lots of space, kept everything cold, didnt freeze vegetables and cheese, self defrosted freezer, was quiet, never runs loudly, keeps frozen food frozen, not frostbitten.

We bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator in 2018. On January 29, 2021 the compressor quit working, food was ruined. Okay, things happen. We called about having a warranty repair. Wife was on phone for more than 3 hours with different parties within the Sears network. Got appointment for February 1st, GREAT service! Service provider contacted us to confirm OUR MARCH 1ST APPOINTMENT!!! Back to the phone calls. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP FOR 50 YEAR CUSTOMERS!!! JUST A LOT OF well, call this number. So if you have a Kenmore refrigerator, I recommend you purchase another brand and keep it ready in your garage as Kenmore doesnt give a HOOT about you after they sell you anything. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KENMORE PRODUCT AGAIN!!! WARRANTY SERVICE?? WHAT WARRANTY SERVICE????

Our two year old Kenmore refrigerator/freezer is inexplicably not working. We came home from work and threw out hundreds of dollars of wasted food. Looking to correct the issue, we set up an appointment and the technician was set to come between 1pm-5pm. We called customer service several times to get an accurate time as it was nearing 5. No show. The customer service was awful. They were very unhelpful and “had no way to find out when the technician would be there and he would be there in his very reasonable time frame”. He did not come in his anything other than reasonable time frame. We were told we will need to reschedule for the following day because missing out on income and waiting for four hours is easy to do...again. So very disappointed in Sears and their lack of customer courtesy, the fact that there is no accountability in standing behind their products, and their complete disregard for dealing with issues. It was difficult at best to contact and talk to anyone and when we did, we were met with even more inconvenience and extremely poor customer service. I would also have to say I’m disappointed in Kenmore as well. I expected something just shy of $3,000 to work longer than two years. Although I hope it’s a simple fix, it’s really hard to tell since we can’t get someone from Sears here to fix it. Yet they want to make sure we pay for their service in full...I will never shop Sears or Kenmore again. Not surprised that Sears can’t keep their stores open. Very sad considering in the past it was such a reputable place to shop.

I purchased my Kenmore Pro refrigerator manufactured by LG in July 2018. It failed completely in May 2020. When the warranty repair company finally (after a 2 week wait) came and replaced the compressor, the new compressor did not work either. And I have to wait another 2 weeks for a repair of the repair. I am disgusted with both LG and the warranty services company that gives zero priority to customers whose repairs have failed.It is a hollow action when representatives of LG provide these “copy and paste” pro forma responses here. What LG needs to do is provide the real resources in a timely manner needed to fix these continuing failures, including to providers of service programs that consumers purchased when they bought refrigerators with these compressors, and to sellers of refrigerators that bear nameplates other than LG but were nevertheless built by LG using these faulty compressors. If others reading this are as annoyed and discouraged as I am, they may want to search on the internet using terms such as “class action lawsuit” and LG compressors and/or refrigerators.

I have had access to several different Kenmore models that usually came with one of the houses or apartments I have rented, roommated with someone, or just visited over the years. I like the newer ones with the refrigerator on top and the freezer on the bottom. I like how much more spacious and energy efficient the newer models are. I like the models that come equipped with a water dispenser (filtered of course)/ice dispenser (also filtered)! I wish refrigerators were solar powered or could generate their own power so no electricity was necessary! In fact I wish all appliances were made this way! I didnt purchase this brand. It came with a few places I have rented over the years! Yes I was very satisfied with the Maytag brand and prefer it over other brands!

Its performance was very good and it was very sturdy. Couldnt ask for a better refrigerator and very dependable. It was just the right size for all the food we had to put into it and the freezer kept the food frozen. It was a perfect size and fit into the space very nicely and it was just the right height so I could reach the top of the refrigerator. It was a very clean and neat looking refrigerator and it looked very good in my kitchen. It was very easy to keep clean. Wonderful refrigerator to own. For me this refrigerator rates a very high value as it was problem free. It stored my food very nicely.

Its clean, plain, and kind of boring. But I like that its white because it makes the kitchen bright. Its easy to wash, but ugly without kids pictures on it! But as far as functioning it was fine and it keeps my food cold. The price for this fridge was considerably cheap. Size-wise, its a great refrigerator. I could fit a whole pizza box in it (unlike my side by side refrigerator now), and has lots of door storage. The downside to it being so spacious is that things get lost, and unfortunately, end up going bad.

Kenmore Refrigerators did a great job at keeping my veggies fresh for several days longer than I thought they used to with my old fridge. Fruit did great as well. However, it would freeze things in the back of it if I wasnt careful. I have to keep an eye on things especially if they were almost empty. Frozen milk is just gross. Additionally, I wasnt a huge fan of the door shelves either for some reason. However, it kept things cold and it didnt melt my ice cream which was a huge improvement over the prior one. All in all, its not too bad.

This refrigerator performs well on both side. That includes the exterior dispensers. Have enjoyed this fridge and will continue with this line. Highly recommend. The refrigerators size is great. I have a family of five and we are able to fit all of our items in nicely. Could always use more space though. Very sleek looking refrigerator. Love the colors and shine. Goes very well with the other appliances in my kitchen. Would Highly recommend to anyone. We are very pleased with the value that we have received with this refrigerator. It is well worth the cost and would buy again.

It is a double door refrigerator and has a ice maker in one of the door of the refrigerator that is black. We paid fifteen hundred for our refrigerator two years ago and it is well worth its value. Got it at Lowes and they delivered it and put it in for us.

This Kenmore refrigerator was on sale and I needed it. I bought it because it was cheap and it was the one I could afford. But it was overpriced even on sale. I dislike the general aesthetic though. Its plain ugly, its like a box. The magnets fall off easy. Moreover, the light burnt out as soon as I got it home. On the other hand, ice maker and door handle works really well. Freezer keeps the ice cold and refrigerator keeps beer cold and food fresh and cold. ;) But sometimes it freezes everything on the top shelf.

I just simply love it. A lot of space for all the things you need for a big family. The freezer has all the shelves you need to select the meat, vegetables, fresh and frozen. A good ice maker.

My Kenmore elite french door refrigerator is approximately 2 years old. It has already been repaired twice due to not cooling properly. I have four kids and now for the 3rd time my refrigerator is not working and of course is out of warranty, but again it is not cooling at all. I called to schedule a repair thru Sears/Kenmore. I paid for the warranty for this year. I set up an appointment for this Wednesday from 8-12 last week. I got a call today and the appointment is canceled due to no technician in area on Wednesday 2/21/17. The next available appointment is March 1, 2017. I asked about replacement due to ongoing issue. They will only cover $500 for new refrigerator, on over a $2000.00 refrigerator that is approximately two years old. Thank you for your time.

I needed a refrigerator and I reviewed all the newspaper circulars to see which stores had the best price. I also did an online comparison to follow up. It was the right size and had the right compartments that I needed. It also kept things at the right temperature and it had enough shelves in the fridge part. It had all the things I was looking for and was easy to clean. I liked all the features of it.

My Kenmore refrigerator has been running strong for 20 years! We have never needed a single repair. It doesnt even look outdated. No one would know its 20 years old and has been in 3 homes as we have moved.

It was spacious, kept everything fresh at the right temperature. It never ran out of ice and the shelves were big enough for watermelons and gallons of milk. Everything was able to be organized effectively. The freezer could have been bigger but I love frozen pizza. It was very sleek and shiny. It definitely had a modern feel to it and I enjoyed the sleek design. It is the closest thing to a fridge from the future. The fridge is a very good value. For the type of refrigerator you get, it is very cheap. The materials it is made of feel expensive. I also couldnt find a better fridge for the price.

The appearance of this refrigerator is sleek and unobtrusive, which is what we want in our kitchen. This fridge works well for us and it is a good size. There is some flexibility in the space which is helpful when we have larger items. We like that the freezer has shelves as opposed to the bins that we see elsewhere and also storage on the door which we find helpful. Of all the refrigerators we look at, we thought this was one the best value for the price. We have been very pleased and would recommend it to others. It is very nice.

Refrigerator has a noisy compressor, I like the LED lights, its very brightly lit and well organized. Door opens a little too fast but probably needs adjusting. I went with simplicity in that usually comes with the fewest problems. Replacement filters are reasonable too and very easy to replace, unlike my last Samsung fridge.

Worked great! Never had any problems with it at all. With a family of seven, it could have been roomier. Maybe more shelving or deeper shelving. More compartments maybe as well. Seemed like I always needed more room for bottles and jugs, etc.. My refrigerator looked great! It really wasnt anything too fancy but yet it had a clean sleek design to it. It was white in color rather plain but it matched and has very clean looking. I believe it was a fantastic value including style, design, price and especially dependability. I would most definitely recommend it for sure.

I thought it has the right size for my kitchen space. We live in a single detached home and the space was perfect for our medium sized kitchen. It used the normal amount of electricity and had enough power for freezer purposes. We have a medium sized home and it fit perfectly with the other decors in the space and made it look very nice. We really liked the appearance. It has a modern look that fit in well with the decor of our kitchen space. We liked the color because it fit with the other appliances we had in the kitchen. It made us look very modern. This fridge had a great value. It fit in with what we were trying to pay as new homeowners. The budget we had was limited and it fit the wallet just right. If we went with anything bigger it would have put us over the edge.

It runs quietly and holds a lot of food. I love not having to bend over just to grab something out of the refrigerator. It holds all we need for two people and we have a lot of leftovers. We like how much can go into the door shelves including both large and small bottles. The Kenmore refrigerator looks clean and sharp. It has kept its appearance and looks just as good as the day it was put in. We have it in a recessed area and it blends in nicely. It has lasted a long time and no problems and that makes it have a lot of value in my mind. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased fridge along with the extended warranty. I started having problems with the ice maker almost immediately. Sears came out 5 times and cannot fix the problem. When I said I wanted a new fridge (as promised per the warranty after 3 tries) the repairman said aint gonna happen, its only an ice maker. One of the repairmen said this is a common problem with this model. So why are they still selling it?! Ive been a loyal Sears customer over 40 years, but no more. Im going somewhere else for other appliances and everything else I need.

The price was very right. I caught a nice sale. I love the look of the fridge. It look small but on the inside was huge. And it was great of the size of our apartment. It did us justice. We also had a 3rd floor apartment and a long stairwell so being able to fit inside that way was the key to my fridge purchase. And then the fact that the inside was large to fit a lot of food was even better. I only replaced the light inside about once, besides that it function quite well. I was overall pleased and if I had the same choices I would choose the same items again.

The refrigerator had plenty of features that I was looking for. It fit in the available space in my kitchen and it had a built-in ice maker. I like the convenience of having the freezer on the bottom. It makes it easier to find things in the fridge part, because its eye level. I have back problems, and having the fridge part on top prevents me from having to bend over as often as I would if the fridge was on the bottom. I also like the automatic ice maker, as well as the color. My kitchen is done in black and red, so the availability of a black fridge goes along great with my decor. I have had it for many years and it still works perfectly. I will most likely buy another Kenmore when it stops working.

Its really exactly what you would/should expect. Its definitely a quality product. I do really love the whole ice machine bit. Buy some Tupperware though. I like to use the crock pot for roasts and what not and it definitely doesnt fit. Size is fine. Breaking up the roast into smaller portions isnt a bad deal though. Makes it ready to take in my lunch that way, anyway. Black, modern, sleek. I mean, its a refrigerator. Not exactly the centrepiece of a room really. It doesnt stand out though, so thats nice. I dont think Ive ever really looked at one made after the 80s or so that I thought was ugly, really. I mean, considering I barely paid for it, Im pretty stoked on the value. I would have happily paid asking price, though.

Keeps my things chilled but not frozen, would recommend to anyone. It is a great brand for the value, and I know that it will last long enough for me to get the full use out of it. It once again is an amazing fridge and great brand. The fridge has a decent size, and it has lots and lots of space for your goods. Even if you get a smaller one, you still get a ton of room for groceries, soda, etc. This fridge looks sleek and modern. It doesnt have a bulky look, and I do love the stainless steel featured on it. It helps keep it clean, and it just looks good in general. The value for the quality of this fridge is 100% worth it. Anytime my friends want a fridge recommendation its always Kenmore fridges. They arent too expensive for the great quality.

It seemed like it lasted forever. We left it in the house we moved from and it was still working fine. The settings inside were great and it kept everything just as we wanted it cold wise. It could have been a little larger. We had a hard time grocery shopping for the month because we could not fit everything into our freezer. The shelves inside the fridge door were somewhat small as well. It looked great and was the perfect match to all of our other appliances. We liked the way it looked inside and out. I would highly recommend this to anyone who doesnt need a huge fridge or needs a fridge for a small place in their home. It didnt cost a ton and it was easy to get repaired as well. The fridge lasted for years and I have no complaints about the way it worked either so the value was great for the size and functionality of the fridge.

Our Kenmore side by side fridge is excellent. Plenty of room and the lighting in it is superb! I can see what I need too and everything is laid out very nicely inside. Makes plenty of ice, easy to clean and very easy to change the water filter inside. We probably looked at 10 different refrigerators and as soon as we saw this one, we knew we had to have it.

This is an LG refrigerator with the Kenmore nameplate. The ice capacity is a joke at about 2 lbs per day. It takes forever to make ice even when you use the Ultra Ice feature. It is very cheaply made as well. I pulled the drawer in the freezer open one day and a wheel from each side broke off when it reached the end of the track. The freezer also frosts food really bad and you have to throw it away after a few months. Very dissatisfied with this refrigerator which is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned!! And I paid $1600 for it five years ago.

I have owned 2 Kenmore refrigerators. I have never had any major problems with either of them. The Kenmore name is well respected and I can testify to that being true. At one time Kenmore appliances were only sold in Sears stores, but nowadays, you are able to find these products in most appliance stores. That proves that Kenmore has made great strides in their refrigerators, as well as their other appliances. I would strongly recommend a Kenmore refrigerator to anyone. They stand up to little kids constantly opening and closing the doors, sometimes with great strength!!!

The refrigerator has outstanding performance. It keeps everything at a perfect temperature. It works awesome and best of all its quiet! Of course this is going to vary from house to house but for my home it fits perfectly. As far as having enough room inside, its plenty of space. This refrigerator is gorgeous. Just look at it, stainless steel, nice and shiny. I think it looks great. It fits very nicely with my kitchen and other appliances. They might seem a little pricey at first but this thing is totally worth every single penny. I absolutely love it. It also does not use as much energy as my old refrigerator.

I have a Kenmore deep freezer that I love. I have never had a problem with it. The deep freezer is a 5 by 3 by 4 deep. Always keeps my food frozen. We have had ours for over 2 years now and still is running like a champ.

I have had a freezer made by Kenmore that we have had for years because we have a large family and we need the space for the extra food so we wouldn’t have to go to the store as often. It’s large enough to store enough to feed our family of 6 for a month with our refrigerator as backup and with the drawers and adjustable shelves (which considering this model was made over 20 years old) was a big deal. We recently moved from Virginia to Ohio and my grandma and myself insisted on bringing it because we haven’t had a problem with it since the day they bought it. When we got out to new house we found that we had a new Kenmore refrigerator and it is amazing. It’s a new model and we love it as well.

We purchased the Kenmore Elite Refrigerator, side by side. In less than five years the whole compressor was fried. It was total trash. I have never had such a bad experience with an appliance. I had my previous refrigerator for 20 years.

Purchased the Kenmore Elite French Door with the Grab-N-Go door in August 2014. Since the price of the extended warranty was about $900 we did not purchase it. At the 18 month (July 2016) point the cooling coils in the refrigerator portion we developing extensive icing and it was actually pushing the bottom drawer outward. Sears couldnt get anyone out for 5 days so we called a local appliance repair person. They came twice but we unable to make any repair but show me a part that they thought might be causing the problem. Sears overnighted me the part and I was able to install it. It did seem to initially fix the problem but now (October 2017) about 15 months later, I again have the same problem. I have ordered the part again, the controller assembly which apparently should control the defrosting of this coil. Not sure if these parts are poorly made (LG) or that something else is a problem. These refrigerators are not repair friendly.

We purchased this refrigerator (Kenmore Refrigerator Model 970-420423) on April 26, 2012, and it is the noisiest fridge Ive ever seen. The motors keep constantly running. Apparently, it has 3 motors in it, and with requiring so much pressure, every time we open the fridge portion, the top freezer pops open and often. It doesnt close completely, leaving a gap of about 1/4. If a person is gone all day, they can easily find that the freezer section has been open 1/4 all day. Were so dissatisfied with our purchase and because it takes awhile to realize its problems, Sears would only send a repairman out to check it out. He says the material they use to insulate the fridges now does not do anything to soundproof them. He gave the reasons for the freezer door popping open which doesnt help us any. Were very sorry we purchased from Sears. We wont trust them again. This product is supposed to be made by Maytag, so, watch out.

My Kenmore fridge last my family for very many years, and especially long considering the fact that there were 4 kids under the age of 5 running around. The finish got worn and the handle broke a lot sooner than Id have hoped... And the stripping on the door broke off, as well, but all in all, it was a well-made product and Id definitely consider buying Kenmore again.

Purchased an expensive French Door Bottom refrigerator from Sears in Feb. of 2013. Last week it stopped working. Called the Sears Service and they said they will charge $99 to come out and then give an estimate for the repairs. They also tried to sell me their 5-year warranty for $324.0 which is sold for $150 by Home Depot and Lowes. I called another repair service who charged me $65 to check the problem and said that compressor is not working would cost $750.00 to replace the compressor. We decided to junk the refrigerator and buy an LG two-door top freezer for $990. Will never again buy a Sears brand product.

I bought a 3-door Kenmore (made by LG) top-of-the-line 31 cubic foot and have the same problem 3 times! They replaced the mother board 3 times and the heater for the defroster. I get an funky error message on the LED display, the water no longer works, the deli bin freezes over and the refrigerator only cools to about 45 or 50 degrees. Im looking for a Samsung now. Sears Outlet is loaded with the exact same refrigerators.

I bought a Kenmore apartment size chest freezer in 7/2011 from Kmart. Its October 2012 and this past weekend, it stopped working. I had service come out and was told the compressor needed to be replaced which would cost between $400.00 to $500.00. I paid $202.00 after tax. It only had a 1 year warranty. Shouldnt a freezer last more than a year? I ended up having to buy a new freezer, but not a Kenmore. Im wondering if this was refurbished.

I have owned a couple of Kenmore refrigerators in my life and was very happy with the performance and design of both of them. The refrigerator before my current kitchen refrigerator was a Kenmore and a very good one. It lasted for 15 years and functionally couldve lasted a few more years I am sure, but we just wanted an upgrade and the appearance of the old one was getting pretty battered. I never had any problems with my Kenmore and probably would have gotten another one except my friend was able to get me a fantastic deal on another brand.

The refrigerator has a great capacity, where I can place a lot of the main food items. The sorting is great especially because I tend to buy a lot of food. The size is appropriate. The size allows me place big plates. I invite a lot of friends to eat so I am able to put in the refrigerator the extra food that we do not eat. The appearance of the refrigerator looks great. It looks new and it has a water filter in the outside of the refrigerator so I do not have to open every time that I need to drink water. The value is a little expensive because of the capacity and the functions of this type of refrigerator. It has so many features so the price reflects that. It is worth it.

After having this refrigerator in my brand new home I was ready to chuck it out the window. The most God awfully annoying sound you could ever imagine was coming out of this machine. An irritating high pitched intermittent whistle. But when a service man arrived it was classified as a normal sound. Yep, I said normal. Unfortunately my husband was the only one home at the time so I couldnt argue. The next day I had a second repair person who said this Kenmore refrig is known to be noisy. I called customer affairs and there was nothing they would do. I ended up calling Sears store directly and they took care of it which I am thankful for. A new Whirlpool will be sent to me by the end of the week.

Very good performance - no issues throughout my usage. Refrigerator (and all other appliances) were left when I sold the house. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator and the Kenmore brand to any/all who asked. I believe it is a good product and a brand that inspires brand loyalty. The refrigerator was purchased with my home (I did not purchase it separately). The refrigerator was clean and well kept - and remained in this condition throughout my ownership. I did not have any mechanical or material issues with the refrigerator throughout my possession - I sold my home and the refrigerator.

I just moved in my new house and I bought a Kenmore from Sears. I love my fridge. Its spacious and easy to clean. :) I would recommend this fridge to my friends and family. My mom just bought one as well and she loves it too.

Its a nice refrigerator. The ice maker makes my ice continuously and it has never been empty when I went to get ice. It has always been a reliable refrigerator. It always has kept my food fresh and has never failed me and my family. I like the side by side with the people who live in my house. It is good for the amount of storage space needed to store the amount of food needed to feed my family. I also like the fact that it is a long-lasting refrigerator and freezer.

We purchased a Kenmore Stainless door side by side refrigerator from Sears.com. They delivered five units before we finally got one acceptable. Not right just acceptable. The bodies of the units were so out of square, one door would be between a half to one inch higher or lower than the other and there was dried expanding spray foam sticking out up to three inches past the metal front plate. The real bad part about it was as long as the refrigerator was all packed up with the foam shipping blocks and strapped down, it looked fine. They would get it in the house, start unpacking it and thats when everything would go to hell. We eventually found out that the model we purchased manufacturing facility had been moved to Mexico. We purchased it in 2009 and because of all the problems we had, Sears gave us a five-year parts and labor extended warranty that we have had to use frequently. Both door seals have gone bad. It took three refrigerator doors and four freezer doors delivered to our home before we got one that didnt look like it had been through Wold War III and you could tell they came from the warehouse that way. Also the plastic surround on the shelves keep breaking. Were on our third shelf. Now, the unit has quit cooling and supposedly has a bad evaporator and drier tube, model# 106.59123801. Im wondering if anybody else has had same problems. According to Sears, this is supposed to be one of the most reliable units Kenmore makes. Thats a joke!

I just had the WORST customer service experience of my life. Dont buy a Kenmore product, because if it breaks youll be stuck waiting for repairs. This morning my husband noticed that the ice maker on our Kenmore Elite refrigerator was leaking and the ice was melting. Not only that but the food in the fridge was warm and the stuff in the freezer was thawing and melting. When I called customer service for repairs the lady on the phone could not understand the issue. I had to explain to her several times that it wasnt just the ice maker or just the freezer but that the entire unit wasnt working. She then had me open both doors of the refrigerator (letting out what little cool air was remaining) and push some buttons while holding my phone up to the Kenmore Connect symbol so it could send a message about whats wrong.We had to do this multiple times until she eventually told me that I would be receiving a parts in the mail in the next 2 to 3 DAYS and that a technician would be out on December 31. So Im without a fridge for TWO WEEKS! Forget cooking Christmas dinner or hosting a New Years party. This is unacceptable. If Amazon can deliver a package in under an hour, then Kenmore should be able to put a technician in a truck to pick up the parts at whatever warehouse theyre located in and drive out to my house TODAY to fix the issue.

I have always trusted Kenmore and was able to purchase at a reasonable price. My family wanted a standard fridge without a bunch of extra features and were able to find one at a reasonable price. I believe it was under 400 dollars.

Fridge died after just 7 years. The compressor only has a 10-year warranty but when the compressor goes out it causes other damage that costs in the thousands to repair so warranty is worthless. Repairs cost as much as the new fridge; ELITE line.

The performance of this refrigerator is outstanding. Its the best fridge out there, in my opinion. I really recommend you to get this. Just make sure you get the right one! The size of my refrigerator is crazy. There is so much storage. The size blew me away the first time I saw it. Just be careful now it looks a lot bigger than it shows in its picture, so dont be fooled thinking its small. The appearance of my refrigerator is great! Its so shiny you can see your own reflection. The perceived value is outstanding. The price is just right and the overall quality is 100%. This is my opinion by the way so dont go off what I say about the value, I hope I had great advice.

Poor Ice Maker performance on our Kenmore model 106.5113 Refrigerator (Purchased April 21st, 2015). We are dissatisfied with the quantity of ice our new Kenmore refrigerator produces. We called Sears for a repair technician to come out and look at the unit. The technician explained the Sears no longer offers a repair service for these units and he was a third party contractor. He couldnt find anything wrong with the unit and said the new unit is not as good as the old ones. He suggested the accelerator option to force the refrigerator to make ice faster. I told him we tried that and even in accelerator mode, it only fills about one-half of the ice bin in twenty-four hours. We usually do without ice about midday. Our last Kenmore lasted 24 yrs and until the day it died it still would fill the ice bin in less than 24 hours. I wish I would have had it repaired now instead of this piece of junk. His only advice was to use accelerator mode. This is an indoor ice maker and it is very inferior to our previous machine if thats the case. We use to fill a small ice chest with our old machine and it would be full again in a few hours. I dont ever remember this thing ever being full. I gave their service department a poor review so they called me back for a follow-up and said that Sears didnt make Kenmore anymore and I would have to contact the manufacturer. They said this was a Whirlpool unit, gave me their number. I called Whirlpool and they said they didnt make the unit either. Im going back to the store for a refund. No wonder Sears is struggling these days. What a nightmare!

Sears replaced the bad fan. Theres a new part with a heater to prevent future freeze ups.

Great fridge/freezer combo. Big freezer section with ample ice maker tray. Fills quickly. Easy controls in the fridge for temperature control. Big deli meat drawer. Crisper drawers could be deeper. The fridge and freezer are plenty big. Movable shelves are very handy for larger items. Lots of shelving on the door, holds plenty of condiments and our water pitcher. I love the look of this fridge. Ive never been a fan of side by side fridge and freezer combos. I like the top and bottom unit with the freezer on top. The stainless steel option looks really awesome! This fridge is a great value. We had a similar fridge for a little over 10 years, but we needed more capacity. For my money, this fridge is absolutely perfect.

Works well, never had a problem. Love the look, stainless is nice, very quiet. There is lots of room and the shelves are very sturdy. Easy to move the shelves and very easy to clean.

Our Kenmore Elite Fridge that is a year old broke the week before Thanksgiving. The board went out, we lost our food. Sears replaced the board and then 3 days later the fan went out (lost our food again). Over the course of a month, they sent the WRONG part two times (meanwhile we had no fridge for Thanksgiving or Christmas). We have been waiting for the new fan to come (it’s now NYE) and the Freezer just went out too (lost that food). It’s absolutely unbelievable how horrible these appliances are. PLEASE do not buy a Kenmore! I so regret not doing my research before I bought this $2500 refrigerator! Horrible decision! If I could give no stars I would.

I really do not know what to tell you. The Kenmore I had was a very good refrigerator and I had it for 12 years and never had any trouble with it. I would gladly buy another one anytime.
