For the first few years, the refrigerator worked really well. However, for a few months the refrigerator would get very cold. Once the part was replaced, it worked great again. The refrigerator has a lot of room and accommodates all of the food we can fit into it. However, the freezer is pretty small; therefore, we struggle to fit all of our frozen foods into the freezer. The fridge is very sleek and looks great in our kitchen. It is not overly shiny (which is good because it is a white fridge) and blends well with our white kitchen. I would buy this brand again! We have gotten a lot of life out of our fridge. Therefore, the price we paid was well worth the investment because it has required minimal repairs over the years.

The refrigerator came with the home I bought. It was reliable and lasted a long time but wish it had a better defrosting of the freezer. Other than that I experienced no mechanical breakdowns in many years.

Approximately Nov 10th of 2013, we noticed an RF error on the readout on our refrigerator and our food inside was all 40*. We had purchased a home warranty when we purchased the house so we called Old Republic and reported the problem. On the 12th a repairman from BJ Appliance Service came out and said he was afraid to do anything because he wasnt sure that it wasnt in the sealed part of the refrigerator which is under a ten year warranty so he would report back to Old Republic. Old Republic set up an appointment with Sears (A&E) Repair for November 19th. Since that time they have returned SEVEN times, replacing various parts each time, oftentimes more than once. Twice the repairman who was sent said that it was probably the fault of the first repairman that was sent. I insisted he did nothing but look at it. They finally agreed to a replacement because the fault was in the sealed part of the refrigerator but it took hours on the phone, seven times waiting for service and almost FOUR MONTHS without a working refrigerator. Twice customer service people told us that because we hadnt bought the warranty it was up to us to replace it. And we were also told by Old Republic that Sears and LG were arguing over who should replace it because it is really an LG product. No wonder Sears is failing - they used to stand behind things that had their name on them. And the warranty on this $2600 refrigerator was almost $400! Kenmore (even though it is LG product) and Sears - never again.

Kenmore Refrigerators is exceptionally good and value for money. I would recommend it for those who want quality with less bucks to spend. Its the best deal I have ever got in refrigerators. Thumbs up.

The reason my husband and I chose this refrigerator in particular was its size. It was perfect for our location. It was also the color and features we wanted and needed. The built-in ice maker was great, it kept up well for my family of six people.

It was good until it had to be replaced. It was one of my first refrigerators and it was nothing fancy. I got a side by side refrigerator the next time I got one but this one worked for many many years. It was a little small but still fully functional and it didnt take up too much space which is always good to have. I liked the big freezer personally because I eat a lot of frozen foods. Plain and white but clean and simple is how I would describe it. It had a good place to place magnets on the front and it wasnt nice enough that you were afraid of damaging it. I dont think I could have sold it to someone even in a garage sale but it served our purposes well which was primarily to keep our food cold or chilled.

It lasts a very long time. I love the ice maker in the refrigerators left door. Another cool thing about the fridge is that it has a lot of space for any groceries you buy. The size is very amazing. When I first got it, it surprised me. The best part about it, it keeps everything nice and cool inside the fridge. The Kenmore 50023 has a very nice appearance. It just pops out in my kitchen. When a family member, or a friend comes over, he/she asks me how did I get it. The value on the Kenmore 50023 isnt that good but it definitely beats other refrigerator prices. I would give it a 5/10 on value and price.

I love Kenmore appliances. The color and the space inside. Shelf are adjustable and allows for plenty of storage space. The drawers and produce crisper are plenty roomy. Good not as for a better working kitchen appliances. Roomy functionality. Shelves and drawers are roomy and functional. Plenty of door space for milk juices and condiments. The Kenmore refrigerator is a beautiful smooth finish. A beautiful creamy color that I preferred to match my kitchen. A part of the decor not an elephant in a China shop out of place and huge. A Kenmore refrigerator is an excellent value. Economical running and keeping cold and freezer is wonderful.

I bought my Kenmore refrigerator back in October 1999 and it still works so good today Dec 2018 that it will start freezing stuff in the refrigerator area after 3-5 days. Plus the freezer works great. My only complaint is the freezer is too small of a portion of the refrigerator. They should have taken more of the refrigerator to make the freezer bigger. I do have to limit how much freezer stuff I get. Frozen stuff that can be thawed prior to using. I will put that on my top shelf of the refrigerator if needed as that shelf will freeze stuff in one day and the items placed on the top shelf of the refrigerator usually will remain frozen or have lots of ice in it like a slushie. The only time I have had problems with the Kenmore was around 10-15 years ago. I kept adjusting the temperature in the refrigerator so things wouldnt freeze up but then it started keeping things too warm and started acting up. I dont have the refrigerator on the highest setting today. It has numbers 1-7 and 7 is the coldest and I keep it on 6. Ever since I stopped changing the temperature dial then no more problems. The refrigerator only cost me $399 and its well worth the money that I have paid for the refrigerator.

Kenmore Elite Refrig made by LG - Ask first and STAY AWAY. Short and sweet, 1st refrig, 9 mos old, 5 service calls before declared dead (took 6 weeks). Replacement refrig, 6 months old, 2nd service call (2 weeks so far, new board, new interior panel, broke by serviceman). STAY AWAY FROM LG REFRIGERATORS. THEY SUCK. NO QUALITY CONTROL and they do not care! Buy the service package. You will need it!!!!!!!

The real problem with refrigerators these days is the flimsy plastic that they are made of will break if you drop something or pull hard. The drawers are particularly fragile. Plus, in the last one I purchased, they took the egg container away.

The Kenmore refrigerator I had was an upper freezer/lower refrigerator model that actually ran for close to 15 years before I had to replace the unit. It never broke down but it never had the extra amenities like Ice Maker. It was the only refrigerator I owned that never experienced zonal freezing, where items in the back of the fridge will freeze. Overall a steady workhorse unit.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite 30CF bottom freezer refrigerator in October 2014. We thought we were buying top of the line for many years of peace of mind. By March that refrigerator had so many problems and 6 repairs. Kenmore agreed to send a replacement in April 2015. It is now September 2015 and the second replacement refrigerator has had 4 repairs. Kenmore will not even offer an extended warranty to stand behind their product and my $3,000. Yesterday the refrigerator was repaired again. Well see how long it lasts. All Kenmore says is that the replacement in April comes with a new 1-year warranty and to contact Sears to purchase an extended warranty. Like I want to invest more money into this piece of crap? Ill start saving that money towards its replacement which will likely be in a few short years, if that. This purchase has been such a nightmare. I do not plan on buying from Sears or Kenmore ever again in the future.

My Kenmore Refrigerator was a floor model and it was on sale. The refrigerator is spacious and works to its capacity. The shelves can be adjusted. It had an overhead freezer and ice making machine. It fits in the wall space and it only stopped functioning once in four years. However, the bottom gaskets keep breaking and the freezer ices over sometimes. Also, I would make an extra meat compartment and would put a bigger thermometer in the back of the refrigerator so I can read it. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the Kenmore refrigerator and it has met my initial expectations.

Kenmore model #795.71309.012 - Worst French door design. Latches keep breaking. This is third time. My last repair person said it is an LG and it was a bad design. I recently looked at new LG French door products and the design is totally different. What is my recourse.

We paid over $3300.00 7 years ago for this top of the line fridge. Loved it until it died. Compressor shot and guess what? The compressor is an LG. Why is an LG part in a Kenmore or rather a GE or Whirlpool appliance? It would cost us more to replace the compressor and labor than to buy a new one. And we had a warranty... 5 years. I realize Kenmore no longer makes its own appliances and that’s a shame because they used to be the very best. But honestly this is really beyond my comprehension. No wonder Sears is going under. Shame, shame. We gave my daughter and her husband our old side by side Whirlpool more than 20 years ago and it’s still humming along. Guess we’ll be carefully looking for a new fridge tonight. Buyer beware.

Kenmore refrigerator works wonders. Love the style and how it looks. The size is also so amazing and big. It holds all your food and in your freezer. Its a must - every lady needs this in the kitchen. It is worth every penny and I would recommend it to anyone.

I love my Kenmore fridge! It works to the fullest to my advantage! It has everything I need and more when it comes to a fridge. I use it to the fullest capacity and I absolutely love that it has the night light outside and the ice maker that dispenses both cubed and crushed ice which I prefer the crushed ice myself and my boys absolutely love it too!

We got a really good deal on our Kenmore refrigerator and the price definitely was a driving factor in this purchase for us. My parents had a Kenmore in the house I grew up in so I knew it would be reliable. I like the ice machine and the power freeze option. There is also plenty of room for storage and the shelves allow for many different ways of organizing your food. However, I would maybe have the freezer set up a little bit differently and I wish there were more shelf so that stacking food was a little bit easier because now things seem kind of jumbled.

Its a great fridge. My only complaint would be it stains easily and its hard to get clean sometimes but overall Im happy with the fridge. Its a great size and fits all my stuff. I could maybe use more freezer space though. It looks great with the other colors in my fridge and works well with stainless steel. Im quite happy with the color. I got this fridge from a neighbor so it was a particularly good value.

We purchased a new refrigerator from Sears not quite 4 yrs ago and weve had three service calls, today will be our FOURTH. It has gone from not freezing to freezing too much in the freezer, to not cooling in the fridge part. It is my belief that when a customer has that many problems with an appliance it should be considered a big lemon and should be replaced. I am 65 yrs old and never in my wildest dreams have I ever encountered so many problems. It has been a BIG headache from day one. I would not recommend Kenmore or Sears to anyone.

It last a long time, for years and keep things cool. Run very well. The price on Kenmore is good. Good product to have. You can count on the refrigerator to run a long time. I just bought one and this is the 2nd one I bought. My 1st I had about 15 years and still running good.

Love the easy access to be able to get the ice, either crushed or cubed choices. Or cold water option as well. The price of this model is in comparison to other models and brands of its kind. This model is efficient in its performance and does all that is needed in a refrigerator. It is beautiful to look at and very easy to access the items that are stored into it.

It was amazing. The best fridge Ive ever had. Reliable, never had any problems and the style I really enjoyed especially that it blends well with my house. The size was perfectly fit to go with my kitchen. Inside was huge and had space for everything I have. All my drinks, all my foods and even the freezer there was plenty of room. The appearance was so cool looking. It was nice and shiny. Wow, I mean just taking a look was so cool. It made me happy. How nice it look especially with the water and ice machine. Never seen anything like it. The value is what it supposed to be. Cant expected to have a cheap fridge that will hold all your grocery and cook food. If you want quality then you must pay for the best. Thats just how the world works so to me I would pay whatever I had for me to be happy and know my food is well taken care of.

These units are a separate matched pair, Kenmore Elite ref and freezer. I purchased these units in Jan. 2011 but didnt plug them until Sept. 2011 because I remodeled the kitchen. Neither unit worked properly. From the start, the freezer would not get below 22 deg. The repairs finally got the freezer working. The ref has never gotten below 39 deg. with temp control on 7. The compressor has been replaced, thermostat, the timer and then rechecked at another appointment but it still will not cool. On 24 Nov., it was 48 deg, on the 25th, 42 deg. Today it is 40. deg. I have had at least 7 or 8 appointments for these units. On Nov. 24, 2012, I had to purchase another Kenmore ref as a back up because I cannot depend on this unit, which I could not afford because I am on a fixed income (disabled). I talked to lemon service, 1 800 927 7836, today. Their service records are not accurate. One comment from the Tech repairman stated I didnt want any more service. This is not correct. He said he didnt know what else to do. I need to be contacted about more info. Please.

So the Kenmore Elite refrigerator that we purchased not so long ago is now breaking down. By breaking down I mean the ice machine part is physically breaking apart. I just found a huge piece of plastic in my glass. Please be aware if you own one!! Just imagine if the plastic was smaller...

I bought what I thought was a Kenmore Elite as that is how it is labeled (it is actually an LG). I found that out when it needed it repaired. I was told that Kenmore doesnt make their on brand anymore. My compressor is out before 5 years is up and the cost is over the price to replace the refrigerator. I dont recommend this product. I have had problems with my ice maker the whole time I own it.

I have had many Kenmore appliances over the years and theyve always lasted a very long time... with the exception of the refrigerator. The refrigerator was disappointing. The one I bought was roughly in the 1990s. It was a side by side model and I liked the size of it. It had a water/Ice dispenser which we never hooked up. I liked the refrigerator just fine until it quit cooling. It ran but has no cold air.

It hasnt given us any real problems over its lifespan other than it makes a very loud thumping sound when shutting off. It still runs perfectly though. It is definitely big enough for a regular sized family of 3 or 4 people. The only time there isnt enough room is when we are hosting a gathering. It has a very basic appearance and is white in color. I wouldnt say theres anything special about the appearance but that isnt why we bought this model. It is more of a bargain refrigerator so I think its a great value. I want to say it was around $1000? No repair bills of any kind so we cant complain.

In the winter of 2014 I bought the Kenmore 795.5131 model side-by-side refrigerator during a sale from Sears. In the spring of 2015 the ice machine stopped working. I did not buy more than a 1 year protection plan and am quite annoyed that I had to pay over $200 to have it replaced. The repairman who I have had used for over a decade told me that this brand of Kenmore uses LG parts who are mostly made of plastic. My intent is to let others and Sears manufacturers know that by buying one they may be in the same boat.

2nd one weve owned and they just keep getting better. Id recommend buying this fridge to everyone I know. You will not be disappointed with any of the features it has to offer. This fridge fits large party trays which is something I need for hosting large get-togethers. There is nice compartments on the doors for all of our condiments. The modern and sleek design give my kitchen an updated look. It is beautiful for a fridge and goes with any color kitchen appliance. It has a great appeal. The price was affordable and reasonable for a fridge. We did our homework and found that it had everything we needed for a price lower than its competitors.

First off, I will never buy another Kenmore appliance, and would tell you that no matter how many 5 stars it is rated, it is still a pile of garbage. We bought this highly rated french door refrigerator back in 2014 and for 6 years it has worked perfectly. If refrigerators only lasted for one year Id say we got our moneys worth but according to repair experts a refrigerator should last 14-20 years. Our Kenmore was made by LG and if you do your research you will find that LG is not a very reliable brand, I dont care what the experts say. The compressor is weak and only lasts for a couple of years if you are lucky. Ours went out! Now LG covers their compressor for 10 years but Kenmore only covers it for 1. What a rip off!!! It will cost $1166.28 to repair a refrigerator that I paid $1150 for in 2014. Sears and the Kenmore brand can go square to HEdoublehockeysticks!!! Im done.

My less than 2 year old $3,999 side by side Sears Kenmore refrigerator freezer stopped working. (Needs new compressor.) Sears response “Pay $941.75 to repair it”. Are you kidding me? I’m 61 years old and never had a refrigerator go bad. What a ripoff! Don’t buy anything from Sears! It’s no wonder they are going bankrupt.

Kenmore Elite fridge. This is the fifth time they have been out to fix fridge. Doesn’t stay cold. Purchased Nov 2016. Installed May 2017. Broken May 2018, July 2018, Sept 2018 and April 2019. Now broken again July 2019 and they will not say it’s a lemon. So frustrating. Don’t buy horrible product and no customer service.

Its your pretty basic fridge, no bells and whistles such as ice makers. But in the 8 years or so Ive had it, there have rarely been any problems that needed addressing. It does the job well and doesnt affect my electric bill in a noticeable way. And on those occasions of power outages, it manages to keep things cool/cold until the situation is sorted, so I dont have to clean it out and start over.

I love it. It was a beautiful stainless-steel at a reasonable price and was recommended by friends. The side to side refrigerator has great height and depth with automatic ice maker and all the extras.

This refrigerator was good quality, it was reliable. Would of enjoyed one of the stainless steel models with the sleeker look and more modern design, but this fridge was fine. It was easy to keep clean even though its white. Also, it was a good size for my family (myself, husband, and one child). There was plenty of room and extra for everything we need. I tend to cool a few big meals on Sunday to last a few days and need to store it in large tupperware or pots and that can take up a lot of room but I had it with this fridge. We had it for years with no problems and I didnt feel like this fridge option was overpriced. I like this brand and its a trusted name so I felt comfortable with what we were purchasing. I would recommend this fridge and this brand.

This refrigerator always kept my food cool and fresh. I always like how my freezer was cold but not too cold where it will over freeze any of my food items. The refrigerator was very spacious. I could pile all types of food in there and so many different beverages on the top shelf, without thinking that the shelf will fall. First of all, the color of it is white and it has one long handle connected to the freezer and another long one on the fridge. The light bulb is really bright and is on the top of the fridge. There are three white racks with several lines on it in the fridge. On the top right hand side there is a button to control the fridges coolness. In the freezer there is one rack with lines to dividing the freezer to have two sections. I think the value of the fridge was good it seems like. It is an affordable price and your refrigerator will last for years. You wont have to worry about any of the shelves breaking easily. They seem quite sturdy.

I bought a new Kenmore fridge April 2015 that cost approx. $1600 (before tax), and in December 2018 it stopped working with no warning. I noticed freezer began to defrost and the fridge was not cooling. I called Sears repair and it took them 2 weeks to come out. They came today and the tech said it was the compressor and that it will be $980 to fix and there is really only a 70% chance that it will be fixed... It will never be the same and probably not worth fixing. Needless to say I am so upset, we lost all our food. It’s only been 3 years since I bought Kenmore fridge, I shouldnt be having this problem AT ALL!!! It shouldnt cost me anything. I got the same out of warranty spiel and customer service wasnt helpful at all. When I told him I shouldnt be having this problem at 3 years, he said, “Well that depends on HOW YOU HAVE BEEN USING IT...” I am near tears, I am so frustrated... I am going to throw a beautiful new fridge in the garbage. I cant believe this is happening to me. I had to buy a $100 fridge from Craigslist just to have food in the house for my kids. Kenmore isnt standing behind their products...what is being done??? I read all of the complaints here and I am SHOCKED there are so many people with the same compressor issues... Obviously at this point there should be a recall!

Satisfied and very happy with the overall purchase. It has meet my initial expectations by being reliable compared to my last one which had a very short life span and we had to replace it with the Kenmore brand which is doing much better. It is very efficient and works in a way I really like and the price of the refrigerator I had paid for it was a good price as well. The size was the biggest issue for me. I would just make the fridge larger so that I can put more food and store more items in it and have some extra space for other things that I would need to add to it.

I loved the alarm on the door. It was very helpful with my special needs daughter who only partially shut the door. Plus I loved having the filter for water and ice. I loved that it wasnt too large. For me the size was perfect. I needed that space as my daughter and husband ate a lot. Previous refrigerators were too small for me. I purchased this one specifically for its size. I was going for a stainless steel look in all my appliances and I started with this refrigerator. I love the Kenmore brand. All of my appliances will be Kenmore stainless steel. The amount I paid for this refrigerator was a little extra and that was only because I had purchased it through a rental place. Had I purchased it through Sears and my credit were better at the time, I would have paid less for it.

Ive had this refrigerator with ice-maker for over fifteen years and have never had a repair bill on it. I do wish the freezer side was wider, but other than that its been a dream. I would not get a side-by-side again.

Compressor broke within 2 yrs. Still under warranty but almost 2 months now and still not fixed. Had us wait all day to come out to fix and then called after 5 and told us we had to reschedule. Finally showed up and found they ordered wrong part. Gotta wait again. Thank God we could borrow my sons old old fridge otherwise we would be completely WITHOUT a fridge. Sears told us to notify our insurance company for loss of use!! Thought I was buying quality product but all we got was a high priced cheaply made refrigerator and very very poor customer service. And they are very aware of this problem but not seeing any recalls. Never again Sears! Kenmore! LG!

I like my refrigerator from Kenmore. It has been a good thing for my family. I like the fact that it dispenses ice and water that are filtered and safe for me and my family. The refrigerator I owned in the past would always shut itself off, therefore spoiling all my food and causing a huge mess. With all the technology that lemme provides I dont have to worry about my money going to waste.

This refrigerator was a perfect size for my house. Our very old and outdated fridge just went out and then we found this one. We actually got a great deal and it was a great purchase. I recommend this to anyone. Affordable and modest. I wouldnt recommend if you have like ten kids but great size for the average family. Perfect amount of freezer space along with fridge space. This refrigerator looks like an average fridge. It is sleek and very pleasing to the eye. I would totally recommend. I got a white one, just the regular kind. It kind of reminds me of the one my gran used to have. So its good, nothing fancy. I would say I got what I paid for. Very reasonable price with all the needed features. It was large enough for me and my husband and fit well in our kitchen. It is also nice and quiet not like our old fridge. So I got the bang for my buck.

I have been using the same Kenmore refrigerator for more than twenty six years. Kenmore is made of quality stuff. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone. The brand is made of quality steel and works very well. The motor will last many years and not need to be worked on. I have not needed to call the service department at all in the twenty six years I have had this item.

I really love the amount of features the Kenmore Refrigerator comes with. It comes with an ice machine and a water filter. It also has temperature control and has lasted me about three years. Although it is a great working fridge it does have its problems. The power consumption on the fridge is honestly not even that good and I would definitely check it on the website. But it pretty much exceeded expectations because it is a very affordable fridge and comes with many different features that I could not be happier with. I would honestly buy it again.

Kenmore has been a long-standing reputable company for years. I have never had any issues and their customer service representatives have always been helpful. The refrigerator has plenty of room. Our fridge is constantly being opened and is always running. The ice maker is constantly being put to work! However, I would love it if the parts on the drawers were made of a better material. The cheese drawer or small drawer is constantly getting shoved and comes off the sliding rail and has cracked in several spots.

I liked the good quality and name recognition. I saw a great advertisement regarding Kenmore when I was looking for a refrigerator that really swayed me. I wanted a dependability refrigerator and Kenmore seemed like a good choice to me in that regard. It kept my food and other items at a constant temperature that was cold enough to prevent my food from going bad which is exactly what I wanted it to do. However, it is scratched easily when in daily use and it scratched the floor as well whenever I tried to move it. It is costly to repair as well. I had it break down once and it cost an arm and a leg.

The fridge has held up with its performance quite nicely. I have no complaints on this model or brand. There has been no major issues. Food has stayed cold and freezer works great. The size of the appliance is alright. It could be a little bigger but thats alright. I just cut down on the amount I buy to stock the fridge with. I do however like the layout of the fridge. It fits everything great. I absolutely love the look of the appliance. This fridge is great to look at and it goes with my decor in my kitchen well. I would have liked to see a few more different colors. It was a decent value. I would have thought it would have been a little less expensive but completely satisfied with the new fridge and style.

I fixed the freezer handle once, otherwise it was pretty sturdy. I find that having the fridge items on top is easier to manage, especially for taller individuals. The side-by-side takes away horizontal space. With this, I could finally store a pizza in the freezer! Horizontal space is more ideal. The fridge can store casseroles, cakes and other serving trays. The doors also hold a lot of condiments & drinks. Its a classy and sophisticated look. Although, fingerprints show easily. The handkerchief could be better offset with a matte color that doesnt show the fingerprints so much. Thats where youd see them the most. As far as the mechanics are concerned, I would definitely trust a Kenmore. The aesthetics could use a bit of finessing. Over-engineering with sensors is not necessary, but reliability and energy-saving are pluses.

Kenmore refrigerator uses new technology at the time for zone temperature control which is very helpful especially for fruit and vegetables. Kenmore exceeds my expectations on reliability, safety, control, smart design and engineering. Kenmore has very few design imperfections that I dislike with a couple of items. The first is the unit footprint limitations especially for an apartment size space. As usual I would prefer something that holds all my standard groceries and items I need temperature controlled that may spoil. The second item is compartment sizes efficient to hold my vegetables especially when cooking and having to pile them on a shelf.

I just replaced this refrigerator several months ago from a Samsung. The Samsung ice cube maker was always breaking. My new fridge has better features, and it keeps things fresh for weeks, it’s remarkable.

They have nice refrigerator. They are good and last long. Have different appliances 2 doors and one door on them. Clean and build big. Easy to move around and take out. Inside is nice. I have not tried any other one but this one.

Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer Model 253.7034.3419 - We bought this model in December of 2015 and the ice maker has never worked properly despite 3 attempts by Sears service personnel to make repairs. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty or this unit would be sitting on the curb for a yard sale. Its a bit ironic because we selected this unit because it appeared to have the largest ice maker of all the other units. So here we sit, waiting on the fourth visit by Sears service technicians and no guarantee this next service call will actually get the ice maker to work. All the other functions seem to work properly, but as an ice maker, it fails miserably. If you are considering this model, beware the ice maker.

My beautiful Kenmore Elite Bottom drawer refrigerator died suddenly a week and a half ago. It was 5 1/2 years old and I came home from shopping to find the freezer had turned into a pool of water. Two repairmen and dozens of hours shopping around, reading reviews, talking to repairmen on the phone and salesmen at various stores Ive come to realize that no average priced refrigerator made today is expected to last more than 7-12 years at best and though 5 years is a little short, its not all that uncommon. Kenmore refrigerators are made by various other companies... Whirlpool mostly, though mine was made by Amana. Weve looked at the wonderfully rated LGs and Samsungs only to back off when reading other reviews full of complaints about electronic failures and shoddy workmanship.For me as a consumer, ITS ALL ABOUT RELIABILITY AND SERVICE, not fancy bells and whistles. Having both would be nice, but I dont know if thats an option anymore. Ice makers seem to cause a lot of problems too, from what Ive read. Seems like buying SIMPLE would be best. The less money you pay, the less you stand to lose. Sad statement on the quality of products out there today. Maybe we should all buy cheap since the stuff is basically built to be disposable, and send a message to the manufacturers. Hit them in the pocketbook. We all need refrigerators, but we just cant expect a good product it seems. Or anyone at that end who cares. WE still havent decided what to buy... Our stuff is crammed into our old 15 year old GE extra out in the game room. Our neighbor offered us use of their old 35 year old in their garage. Pathetic, isnt it?

We have loved our fridge/freezer. Makes ice quickly and crushes nicely. We have little ones and having the lock button on the water and ice dispenser is a nice feature. There is plenty of space for everything. Would recommend. The size is very nice. We are able to fit an entire pizza box inside the fridge which is really nice. The drawers hold a lot and the storage in the door adds a lot of extra space. The appearance of the fridge is beautiful. Doesnt smudge too easily. It has a sleek design and goes with any decor. The handles are perfectly placed and look great! The fridge is a great value for the money. We did a bit of shopping around and researching before making our decision. This fridge was a great buy.

Bought a new Kenmore Pro 795.79993 fridge less than 2 years ago. Now I have no fridge. $105 on-site charge to diagnose the problem. Then they want $500 to cover labor - UPFRONT before they order the part. The compressor is bad....which in itself is another $500 but they are willing to cover the part. How do you make such a substandard appliance, not stand behind your appliance, and then refuse to cover warranty work or repairs on a substandard device? DO NOT BUY. I just threw out my spare 40 y.o. Frigidaire fridge that was in the basement. I didnt even get 2 years out of my wonderful new fridge. Disgusting.

It was a wonderful refrigerator. I had it for 26 years and never had a problem with it. It was the best refrigerator I ever owned. It served me very well. I loved that refrigerator and was quite upset when it quit working. I tried to get it repaired but it was beyond that.

Never had any problems. It was spacious, economical, and affordable. There was a good warranty on it and I loved the water and ice dispenser that was built into it. My first college apartment had a Kenmore fridge and even though it was part of a rental and was very old, it still worked very well. My parents also have a Kenmore and have no complaints.

My refrigerator is working perfectly with no issues. The bonus is having the ice and water filter. Its the best thing this refrigerator could have. The size of that refrigerator is really big. The inside of it is perfect for space to put fresh vegetables and fruits but the freezer could use more space. The appearance of the refrigerator is silver stainless. The brand name is kenmore, it is reliable and it has an elegant color and it is high performance as well. The price is fairly reasonable but wish buying a refrigerator would involve a cash back program. If you are willing to get a new refrigerator between $1000-$1500, you will make the best decision because a brand new one will last for years with no major problems.

It came with the first home we purchased and at that time, was considered a very good buy. At that time, my income was considerably less than now, and I went from a 2,600 sq foot home to a 9,000 sq foot home. It was a very good, starter unit, that was very reliable and quiet. Inside temperatures were easy to maintain. We were always jamming more and more in it to accommodate my family. However, it was not large enough for my growing family and for entertaining and could not make ice very fast and the freezer section was too small. It is a great unit for a couple or a family with 1 child.

This was our first refrigerator we bought after we got married and it worked great. A simple fridge to get us started and it held everything we bought for just the two of us. Even had room to store food made for company.

The fridge itself was good. Had it for 5 1/2 years when the compressor went out. When I called customer service to get it fixed they couldnt schedule us for 4 weeks. Representative said they were busy in our area and that was the best they could do. The compressor was still under warranty but we would have to pay for labor. To have a local repair shop do it would cost $800-$1000 for the compressor and labor but could be done in a few days. We will find a different company with better customer service for our next fridge.

Kenmore model 10651133213 refrigerator/freezer. Every couple of hours a motor or compressor turns on and is so loud it wakes us up at night. Called the warranty people to see what they could do for me. I was told, thats the way it is. That appliance is loud. If its cooling properly then its working properly. That is absurd. Ive had alarm clocks that werent this loud.

Fridge, Freezer, and ice maker all work wonderfully. We havent had any problems with it except for the ice getting stuck once. It fixed itself. The Fridge part is a great size. The freezer is a little small for how much frozen food that we buy, but we have a mini-freezer for what doesnt fit in the main freezer. Fridge is nice looking. Its sleek and well put together, a great addition to our kitchen. I would recommend the look for most kitchen styles. We got our fridge for a good price for how well its worked and how great it looks. Im super happy. Would recommend for people searching for a good deal.

I purchased a Kenmore Refrigerator in January 2016. In the beginning of February 2017 the refrigerator stopped working and I lost most of the food. I contacted the Warranty Department and they told me it was three weeks out of warranty and they would do nothing except send a repair person at my expense for parts and labor 13 days from then, which is unreasonable for someone with no refrigerator. I explained that I was out of state from March 2016 until December 2016, so I only had used it two months. The warranty department representative told me I was out of luck and it was not Sears fault.I contacted a local repair shop and they got me running the same day. Unfortunately, the repair cost was over $300 because of a faulty computer chip. He said that this model was notorious for having bad computer chips and that he has replaced several recently and that Sears knew about this because they have changed the computer chip in subsequent manufacturing. This speaks volumes to me about Sears customer service. When I got to the mall, I see that it is always a good place to park to access the rest of the mall because there are always lots of empty parking spots around the Sears store. Its motto should be: If we ignore the customer long enough, they will stop bothering us.

It was built well & lasted quite awhile. I never had to require service and only got a new one because I bought a new home and left the Kenmore refrigerator as part of the sale. My current home already had a refrigerator already installed.

A ton of room for freezer items. Really loved this as a member of a wholesale club and was able to save money buying items in bulk as freezing them. The size of both the top and bottom compartments are large. There is a lot of room in both for items of all sorts. Really helps to find things you need. The fridge fit in seamlessly with my newly renovated kitchen. It is sleek and modern, and I got a lot of compliments on it from people who saw it. Got a good deal on this product at Sears and the energy efficiency was very good. Saving money from being able to store a lot of things and see them all, not losing anything to lack of sight.

Purchased new freezer in March of 2014. Reasonable installation, installers broke a small part which was replaced by Sears. I purchased extra hoppers for the door. All was OK until this winter when we had several power outages. After the second outage, the freezer stopped running. I called and spoke to a technician who directed me to reset the breakers on the electrical box. She said the freezer would come back on in awhile. It didnt, so I called for a service call which had to be scheduled some time much later than I needed. In the meantime, after a week or so, the freezer resumed working. All was OK again for about a week when the freezer stopped again. I went through the breaker box routine again with no results. However, two days later the freezer resumed running but only for an hour or so. (Are we having fun yet?) I have called again for a service call, again sometime in the future and have cleared out the freezer and turned it off with the interior dial. (I would pull the plug, but I cant reach it.) The consequences as you can imagine are the loss of the entire contents of the freezer and extreme stress to me.

I have had my Kenmore refrigerator for more than 20 years. I like it and it is dependable. When we first got it, the ice bucket kept breaking in the freezer part for the ice maker. After several replacements under maintenance agreement, it has finally held up.

I have had no issues with the performance of the fridge. It works well and maintains the proper temperature without any problems. This is a smaller refrigerator. It is hard for me to fit in everything I need to store in it. However, with the size of my kitchen, I wasnt able to purchase a larger size model. The outer appearance is very nice and wipes clean well. I like the appearance of the inside as well but have had some of the shelves crack or the plastic edging around the shelves crack. I have had the fridge for nearly 10 years. I remember it being a good value and I like the Kenmore brand name.

I like how fast it dries clothing and the overall look in my house. I got this brand on a good deal also and I would recommend it and I will always buy it because it is so good. Its a high-quality brand that I trust. I also own a washer and a fridge from the same brand.

The first refrigerator I owned when I moved out on my own was a Kenmore. It came with the house I bought and it was new. I never had any problems with it. I owned it for about 8 years and as far as I know the people who got it after me still have it and its still working good. Thats been about 15 years ago. It was a base model, no ice maker or anything so it probably was one of the cheapest ones they made. So I guess you could say Kenmore is an excellent brand.

Bought the fridge in October. Month ago we had a repair man diagnose a grind noise and turned out to be ice build up near the fans which the repair guy said should not happen. Said there is either a leak somewhere or the fridge needs replacing next time it happens. Well it happened again a month later. Hoping Sears or Kenmore will help me out here as the fridge is not even 6 months old yet. Paid 3k for it and it replaced our 15 year old KitchenAid that was problem free - just needed more food space. Very upset and disappointed. Please help.

We purchased the Kenmore Elite Refrigerator, side by side. In less than five years the whole compressor was fried. It was total trash. I have never had such a bad experience with an appliance. I had my previous refrigerator for 20 years.

Kenmore Elite does not get cold enough to keep milk in it. Sears said it doesnt need to be colder. Put old refrigerator, which is much colder, in laundry room just so milk doesnt spoil. Running two refrigerator now. Will never buy another Kenmore.

I just love this refrigerator. The shelves are adjustable, the freezer at the bottom is very convenient and has extra tray for ice cubes. I can adjust the shelves as needed to fit all of the items I need in the refrigerator. The vegetable bins are large and roomy. Tall items fit well in the door shelves. Flat items store well also. The freezer has ample room for flat frozen items, I dont have to put in my large freezer. The refrigerator is easy to clean. It has a non stick coating that makes stains and fingerprints wipe off easily. Great for families with little ones with sticky fingers. At first look I thought the cost was too much. But as I researched, I found the value of this refrigerator well worth the cost. This is our second refrigerator. We gave the other one to a sister and she still has it. It holds its value really well.

The Kenmore refrigerator was purchased because it was the best price among those that I looked at. It has lived up to my expectations as an extra backup refrigerator. We didnt want to spend an exorbitant amount on a extra refrigerator that would be out of sight in our garage. The store we purchased it from was running specials on several brands and the Kenmore seemed to be the best value at the best price. The refrigerator had what we needed to keep our overflow food and beverages cold as well as a little extra storage space for frozen items in the freezer section on top. It had a good bit of space for a standard refrigerator. However, the inside of the refrigerator sometimes took some clever maneuvering when we had large items we needed to put in it or more than the usual amount of food/beverages (when we were preparing for a holiday or entertaining). I wish the compartments and drawers in that refrigerator were configured a little more flexibly and usefully.

Im very happy with the Kenmore refrigerator. I have owned it for many years and its great on performance, its energy efficient, and it keeps food very fresh and cold. It is standard size and quite roomy on the inside, but if you are like me, you always need that extra bit of space and I wish it was just a tad larger, so I will step up next time. Its quite nice-looking for an average refrigerator, but does not have all the bells and whistles of newer, fancier models, like the chrome finish and water attachment in front. Its a very good value and as good in comparison to newer, more stylish models.

Its a good basic refrigerator. Nothing too fancy but good enough to deal with our everyday life. Not good if you have a large family or entertain a lot, as you will run out of room very fast. Its good enough for a family of 4. If you entertain a lot or have people who looove food, get a bigger fridge. Otherwise, this is good enough. Its plain so it wont stand out too much if you live in a crappy place. Can decorate it with magnets or drawings etc. Easy to clean the outside too. It was a good price I suppose. The fancier you go, the more broke you will be.

Kenmore Model 106.62153111 - I purchased this refrigerator in June 2014 and got it with the stainless doors; big mistake. Kenmores stainless steel doors are the worst and show every mark even when sealed with a good stainless steel after market finish, so stay away from their stainless door offerings. The other thing I was NOT advised of by my salesperson was the fact that this fridge/freezer has only ONE THERMOSTAT for both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. What this means is that no matter how many times I have called for service and they have replaced the thermostat and reset everything, as soon as it gets hot outside (Im in NJ), there is no way stuff in the freezer compartment stays frozen; ice cream becomes a sludgy soup, veggies are limp instead of crisp and ice cubes are nonexistent. If one of the service persons does get it to function in the freezer, then all my produce in the lower drawers also freeze.This is the worst design for a refrigerator I have ever encountered and my advice to you is to always inquire about the controls in the unit you are thinking about purchasing. MAKE SURE THERE ARE TWO - one for the freezer AND one for the refrigerator. I am still waiting to see just what Sears will do about this ongoing problem which seems to have no long term remedy.

The entire unit has plenty of space for your needs of a family, Id say up to 7 people. The refrigerator and freezer space is large enough to hold whatever it is you need. The freezer has never iced up in 13 years, which makes me thrilled. If I had to replace my unit, I would certainly consider another made by Kenmore as I HAVE NOT had any trouble with this one AT ALL. It is a great piece of equipment, just like Kenmores other equipment. You can not go wrong buying a KENMORE!!!! The size of the refrigerator is almost too big for my family of 3. When the holidays come around and I have 17 people at my house that is when I am thankful for the capacity of the refrigerator. The refrigerator holds everything I need it to hold and more. This is a refrigerator that should be highly considered when purchasing a refrigerator. You wont be sorry if you buy one. The appearance of the refrigerator is clean. I have a white refrigerator and is very easy to take care of when something gets on it. With having an upper door for the freezer and a lower door for the refrigerator, this makes it easily accessible to get to the item you need. The refrigerator and freezer has the ability to switch which way the door opens, so whatever way your kitchen needs the unit to fit it will accommodate. Nice. Everything, nowadays, is very expensive. However, like the saying goes You get what you pay for and with refrigerators/freezers you need a HIGH QUALITY one. Kenmore is known and lives up to its name so as you may pay a little more you are getting a much higher quality for your money. Its worth it. Having my refrigerator for 13 years and it is still running like day 1 says a lot to me. Money is tight and I am not having to run out and buy a new one for any reason. Bottom line - Kenmore is a great value for your money.

I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator about 14 months ago. The thermostat and tower had to be replaced. It cost 400.00. I received no HELP from Kenmore or Sears. They told me my warranty ran out. The people in the call center are useless. I will take this matter further. All I want them is to pay for the parts. They said NO.

I bought the Kenmore refrigerator, Model # 795 71019.010, Serial #005KRO2571 from Sears a few years ago & a part I need to be able to use the ice-maker now is DISCONTINUED according to Sears & I was told Youll just have to buy a new fridge or go without ice??? I cant believe they leave customers high & dry & expect them to buy a new fridge when all it needs is a part. Not sure who to blame so I blame both KENMORE & SEARS. What a way to treat consumer! Ive always bought my KENMORE appliances from Sears & never had a problem, but after this - Never buy from Sears & never buy a KENMORE brand anything!

It still works great. Wonderful fridge. Just want to update. I have had a lot of use for mine and Im putting it in my basement in the rec room. Its a great size fridge. Has plenty of room in it. Holds a lot. And it will be great size for our rec room for all the snacks and drinks. Its still in great shape and looks like new. Its been very well taken care of. Had people wanting to buy it from me after I get a new one. But Im not selling it. Its worth every penny spent on it. Great freezer and fridge. Looks great. Stays very cold and I love Kenmore products. Ill continue to buy Kenmore.

It keeps everything at the right temperature and the freezer never frosts over my food. The crisper drawer is the perfect size. The shelves are the proper height for beverages also the crisper holds my vegetables perfectly and the shelves in the door allow me to place many bottles of various sizes. It is a very clean cut looking refrigerator. It is easy to keep clean and I loved how I was able to choose which way I wanted the doors to open because of the size of my kitchen. It was a perfect value for the size of the refrigerator. And also the appearance and choice of colors along with the cubic feet in size.

I bought my Kenmore Refrigerator a while back and it is still in good shape. When I bought it, I didnt want to spend a lot and so I chose this one. The fridge is white and while I am not really picky with colors, you will be able to notice the dirtiness quickly if you tend to spill things. Also, we are a family of 6 so we tend to buy a lot. The normal side where you put eggs and milk is okay. The space is big and you can put a lot of things there. But, I believe the freezer side is too small. Nevertheless, everything we buy fits.

We have a side by side and we have never had any problems with it. We bought it about three years ago. It has an automatic ice maker and pure water to drink. I would recommend it to anyone that would ask me about our refrigerator.

I couldnt ask for better. Everything was chilled perfect and the freezer kept everything frozen without too much frost. Plenty of room for my 6 member household. I know for a family of six it was more than enough room so if your family is 6 or less it would be a wonderful fit both top and bottom. We had two 18 pound turkeys in the freezer and still had more than enough room for more not to mention the inside door space. I think as far as looks you cant be disappointed. Its sleek clean and above all goes with all decor. If your look is modern, old fashion, or just whatever works, I think its a universal type of appliance. If I had to make a choice on what type of refrigerator I could buy, have ,or be gifted I cant say I could think of another one that would in my opinion surpass the quality and capacity of the one I have. Great size, check. Great look, check. Big bang for your buck, check. What more could you need.

After buying 5 refrigerators over the past 5 years, we finally got the one we love, is huge, everything works great, and looks good. We cant shop enough to fill this side by side with built in ice maker with water.

The produce drawers worked very well and I never had any trouble with it. The interior of the refrigerator had enough room to comfortably hold food for myself. I rarely ran out of room. The shelves were adjustable so that different sizes were easy to accommodate. The appearance of this refrigerator was very easy to look at. The lines were clear and concise and the style was classic. It fit any decor. The amount paid for this refrigerator was easily less than bigger models. It was a good value, especially when considering no repair bills.

Ive always bought Kenmore refrigerators. Their quality impressed me far more than any other brand. They have been my first choice since I started buying my own appliances. My fridge has side by side doors, which made accessing both the freezer and regular groceries much easier than a top/bottom setup. It has twenty one cubic foot capacity with the ice maker/drink dispenser in the door. However, it was a little too tall for all the space it provided for it in my kitchen. It made it difficult to clean off the top, especially since there was a storage shelf in the space above it.

I bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator in October 2010. Two years later, the door is completely broken. The ice maker stopped working after a year. All produce freezes in the crisper. This is a poorly designed refrigerator. The door spaces are too small to fit more than one or two items. The light hangs into the top shelf and prevents items from fitting there. For some reason, there are bars hanging under the shelves that prevent items from fitting also. All round poorly designed appliance.

Large enough to hold all we need to store in this refrigerator. It replaces the extra refrigerator in the basement that had begun to leak water into the bottom. This refrigerator stores the overflow from the kitchen refrigerator, or stores items not used often, like Coke we keep for visiting family, or five or six containers of ice cream. This refrigerator has the freezer at the top, and is black in color, but does not show fingerprints. It fits well into the basement as our extra refrigerator. I believe the value of this refrigerator is excellent. The cost compared to the capacity and style very well. Even though this refrigerator is in the basement, and is used for extras, it is nice looking.

Kenmore has always produced great products. If you were on a budget, this is the way to go. Very nice fridge for the price. The interior of the refrigerator is very spacious and drawer size was excellent. The cooling was very good and it kept a constant temperature, in the refrigerator and freezer. My personal choice for a freezer would be on the bottom. But the top freezer worked fine. It is just a matter of taste. But didn’t have an ice maker. My current washer and fryer are Kenmore too, and I’m very happy with them.

The performance of my Kenmore refrigerator is great. The product performs exceptionally well. I love the way it looks also, very modern. The size is great. My Kenmore refrigerator is great for my home because I cook a lot. It holds quite a bit and it fits perfectly in my kitchen. Well made. The appearance is very stylish and modern. I know it plays a big part in my get-togethers. Everyone compliments, so the sleekness of the new style makes a room feel fun. The value is good. I like the benefits of the purchase and it was worth the money spent. I would recommend it to friends and family. I do think that appliances should not be expensive but its worth the money.
