CODE: F001, F002, F004 or F005
PROBLEM: Touch panel failure
FIX: Disconnect electrical power from the range and wait 30 seconds then restore power. If the error code returns, disconnect electrical power and replace the touch panel.

CODE: F003
PROBLEM: User interface control board failure
FIX: Disconnect electrical power from the range and replace the user interface board. The user interface control board may have more than one version. Use the latest revision of the user interface control board.

CODE: F010
PROBLEM: Runaway temperature (oven temperature is over 600 degrees and increasing)
FIX: Disconnect power from the range. Check the resistance of the oven temperature sensor probe using a multimeter. You should measure about 1,100 ohms resistance through the sensor probe at room temperature. If not, replace the sensor probe.

CODE: F011
PROBLEM: Stuck key on the keypad
FIX: The control detects a key has been pressed for 30 seconds or more. Make sure nothing is pushing against the keypad. Press the Stop key to clear the display. If the code won't clear, disconnect electrical power to the range and check the wire harness connections between the touch panel and the user interface control board.

CODE: F012
PROBLEM: Touch panel and user interface control board mismatch
FIX: This code appears when you replace the touch panel or the user interface control board using the wrong part. Use your range model number to check the part number and install the correct replacement part.

CODE: F013
PROBLEM: User interface control board failure
FIX: Disconnect electrical power, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error code returns, replace the user interface control board.

CODE: F015
PROBLEM: Touch panel failure
FIX: Disconnect electrical power, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If error code returns, replace the touch panel.

CODE: F017
PROBLEM: User interface board is unable to configure the touch panel
FIX: Disconnect electrical power, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error code returns, disconnect electrical power and check the wire harness connections between the touch panel and the user interface control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If you just replaced the user interface control board or the touch panel, you may have used the wrong part.

CODE: F018
PROBLEM: Relay control board failure
FIX: Disconnect electrical power to the range and replace the relay control board.

CODE: F019
PROBLEM: User interface control board is unable to configure the relay control board
FIX: Disconnect power to the unit, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error returns, disconnect electrical power and check the wire harness connections between the user interface control board and the relay control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If you just replaced the user interface control board or the relay control board, you may have used the wrong part.

CODE: F022
PROBLEM: Communication failure between the user interface board and the relay control board
FIX: Disconnect power to the unit, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error returns, check the wire harness connections between the user interface board and the relay control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged.

CODE: F023
PROBLEM: Communication failure between the user interface board and the touch panel
FIX: Disconnect power to the unit, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error returns, check the wire harness connections between the user interface board and the touch panel. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wiring harness is okay, replace the touch panel. If the problem continues, replace the user interface control board.

CODE: F025 or F027
PROBLEM: Communication between the user interface board and the relay board can't be initiated

CODE: F028 or F029
PROBLEM: Communication between the user interface board and the touch panel can't be initiated
FIX: Disconnect power to the unit, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error returns, disconnect electrical power and check the wire harness connections between the user interface control board and the touch. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If you just replaced the user interface control board or the touch panel, you may have used the wrong part.

CODE: F030 or F031
PROBLEM: Oven temperature sensor probe failure
FIX: Disconnect power from the range. Check the resistance of the oven temperature sensor probe using a multimeter. You should measure about 1,100 ohms of resistance through the sensor probe at room temperature. If not, replace the sensor probe.

CODE: F033
PROBLEM: Meat probe temperature sensor shorted or too hot
FIX: The control triggers this code if the meat probe detects temperature above 392 degrees F. Make sure you fully insert the meat probe into the meat. The meat probe will detect oven cavity temperature higher than 392 degrees if you don't fully insert the meat probe tip into the meat. Also, make sure that you insert the meat probe jack into the receptacle. A partially inserted meat probe jack can short the contacts in the receptacle, causing this error code.

CODE: F050
PROBLEM: Oven relay board can't detect the status of the door lock switches
FIX: Disconnect power from the range. Check the wire harness connections between the door lock switches and the relay control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. Check to see if the door lock switches work properly using a multimeter. Replace the door lock assembly if the switches don't work. Replace the relay control board if the wires and switches are all okay.

CODE: F090
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: The relay control board doesn't detect the door lock motor operating. Disconnect power to the unit, wait 30 seconds, then restore power. Try again to lock the oven door by initiating the Oven Lockout or starting a Clean Cycle. If the door lock motor doesn't run, disconnect power to the range and check the wire harness connections between the door lock assembly and the relay control board.

CODE: F095
PROBLEM: Door lock motor doesn't stop running
FIX: If the door lock motor is constantly running, replace the relay control board because the relay on the circuit board is stuck. If the motor isn't running constantly when this code appears, replace the door lock assembly.

CODE: F096
PROBLEM: Oven door has been detected open during a self-clean cycle.
FIX: Make sure the oven door closes fully and pushes the door switch plunger in. Adjust the oven door hinges or replace the door hinges if damaged. Disconnect electrical power to the range and test the door switch for continuity with the door switch plunger pressed in. Replace the door switch if you don't measure continuity during that test.

Product Reviews:

I purchased a water heater from Sears in 2002 and it began leaking in 2008.
I purchased a water heater from Sears in 2002 and it began leaking in 2008. That water heater had a 9 year warranty. I had it replaced with a Power Miser 12, with a 12 year warranty. This water heater is now leaking 7 years later. When I called to arrange a replacement, I was told that this warranty is no good since I did not pay extra when it was replace in 2008. I was never told this in all my phone calls to Sears in 2008 and during the horrific process I experienced, in 2008, where I had to find the plumber myself and make all the phone calls and arrangements myself since everything Sears was supposed to be doing and they were not.Now I am told there is no warranty on this Power Miser 12 which is 9 years old. I will never get another appliance from Sears again. In my conversation with the representative he just ended it with I hope the rest of your day goes better. If you are planning on buying a water heater, I suggest you run away from Sears. They are not the company they used to be. They just dont care anymore about reputation. I will be shopping for a new water heater from Home Depot or some big box store.

I remodeled my kitchen (March 2015) and wanted to have reliable appliances that had nice features and looked nice. I purchased a Refrigerator (4674033), stove (2275233), dishwasher (2212773) and over the range microwave (2280333). $6000 worth of appliances... So far the dishwasher had a defect in the basin that leaked and destroyed my new floor. The Refrigerator frosted over and was out of commission for 2 weeks waiting for a new circuit board for a known issue. And now the gasket on the door to my stove is peeling off. These appliances were supposed to be top of the line Kenmore Elite. They have been nothing but a headache and who knows what is in store in the future.

Purchased range on March 19/2011. April 2015 I started to self cleaning, pushed the start and the oven died. Only the stove top works. Service came to repair and charged me $96.05 and told my husband the cost to repair would be approx. $1,000.00 plus tax & plus labour. They also informed him that this happens a lot with this brand and the manuf. does not care. I checked if there was a recall but I am not good with the computer and DID not find anything. I would never buy a Kenmore again and never shop at Sears again. I am cutting my Sears card after I finish.

Purchased the Kenmore Electric Range Model #790-94182310 in March of 2015.
Purchased the Kenmore Electric Range Model #790-94182310 in March of 2015. Used mostly the top, some baking but no more than 10 times a month. Babied this range! Wiped up any spills myself. However had a spillover and decided to do the first self-clean. Range is 1 year and 8 months old. The error code came on flashing F-10 on the display. I hit the off button but the F-10 continued to flash. Turned off electric supply at the breaker. Never had a ring or anything other than the F-10 to alert me. By the time it cooled, I had done the research for troubleshooting which was very helpful through YouTube by a Sears technician. We learned there was probably a temperature sensor problem. We also learned how to test it and the control panel. After removing the back panel, we discovered they both were heat-damaged. Part of the control panel was blackened by fire. The odor that I smelled and thought was the cleaning, was the plastic around the panel and the elements within the control panel. Called Sears - they offered to send a technician that would cost $89, then of course it would need the parts. Didnt bother finding out what that would cost. Did not buy the extended warranty. Who would have thought that the first time you self-cleaned an oven it would catch something on fire!!! Very unsatisfied. We are going to attempt to fix it ourselves but we do not intend to ever purchase Kenmore again. Loved my KitchenAid that I had for years and only got rid of it because it was black and I wanted to change to white. Needless to say, we are angry. Also said they could not find where there was a recall on the range. Gave me another to call which I will do. Now to hope for a recall which I feel is necessary!!! I have pictures but for some reason says file type not accepted???

We purchased a Kenmore Elite range in 2012. It worked well for a while then the computer board failed and the oven would not heat. This first occurred December of 2014. I was without an oven for the entire month of December. Then on November 28, 2015 the same issue started. We called for repair and were treated rudely and they would not re-order the same parts from last repair, so we had to wait for a tech on December 2. The tech came out. He was rude and not helpful. He didnt even inspect the oven. He said it was the computer board and ordered the part. We then had to wait for parts to arrive and schedule the next available appointment on December 11. The tech installed the board and the oven worked for 4 hours and broke again. We called customer service again and we were told that there was nothing he could do for us because it had not been 24 hours since the tech was at our house. He did say he would put a notation for the tech to call us the next day. No one called on December 12, so on December 13 we called again. The CSR finally agreed to order the parts without waiting for a service call, and scheduled the next available date for repair on December 21. We specifically said we did NOT want the same tech to come out. On December 21 we were quite shocked when the same tech showed up, was as rude as ever, refused to the install the board and only installed the igniter (which he failed to order on the first repair). All in all, my oven was broke for almost the entire month of December. I will NEVER make another appliance purchase from Sears again.

Performed great for years. Was happy with it. I would recommend one. The fridge kept everything cold and freezer worked great also. I never had any issues with it. It had to be small enough to fit in my townhouse. It fit okay in my kitchen. The width wasnt so much the issue as height. Inside the fridge was still roomy enough. The appearance was okay. It was mainly in my price range out of all the refrigerators available. I felt it was a good value. The fridge did what I needed it to do. It is a reputable brand and store I bought it from.

My 1.8 year old water heater started producing water that is too hot. So, I turned the thermostat setting to Low. Still getting temps of as high as 147 - 157 F. Concerned that grandkids may get burned. If I adjust the setting even a little bit below Low, the temp drops to 92F. Note: Owners manual says Low setting should produce 110F water. Factoring in the possibility of short repeated heating cycles causing expected readings of 20F higher, it is still producing water 10-17F higher than expected with no ability to lower the temp without dropping too much (92F).2May17 - Sears Technician diagnosed and ordered gas control valve (thermostat). 10May17 - Sears Technician installed new valve. Would not start. He conferred with Sears and AO Smith tech support staff. They determined that the valve must be defective. Ordered new valve. Next morning I (the customer) tried heater once again. It worked fine, but produced same hot temps as before.15May17 - Sears technician returned. I shared my temp readings with him. He contacted Sears & AO Smith tech support. They concluded that gas valve was working properly. They rationalized that the problem was related to stacking (short heat cycles). I pointed out that even if we allow an additional 20F for that, it is 10-15F too high with no ability to lower the temperature to a proper range. They suggested installing a mixing valve and checking single handed faucets to see of having any cross-over issues (i.e. turn on cold but still pulling hot water). Closed call but told technician intended to register a product complaint with Sears/AO Smith but I was very satisfied with his service/help. Total labor cost for Service Call: $209. Original cost of heater install $1215.

Stops working if we shut off the oven and restart it, to adjust temp or if we need to put something back in because it was not done as we thought, only way to fix it is to pull the heavy oven away from the wall to get to the plug, unplug it, plug it back in, which is a disaster as its too heavy for me!

I bought the Kenmore Dishwasher, in fact, I bought all Kenmore appliances because they work great and last for years and we get superior service on them. I have had my appliances for over ten years and they still work great like new, no problems. It has featured of being able to have heat on or off, having the arm on top and bottom, quietness. I like the silverware basket because its on the side and not the middle which gives you more room. I also like that my top rack is deep. I wish it had a self-cleaning feature like an oven so I could run it once a week to keep the power wash free of debris. We live where the water is hard, it would be nice if it had a built-in water softener that you could maybe change a filter out so I didnt have to buy additives to keep them from spotting up so bad.

The clock would mysteriously reset as if a power outage had occurred. This happened for several weeks and then the control panel for the oven went dark and oven is UNUSABLE!!! So we call Sears for a warranty call out and the guy opens the back of the stove and discovers a bug back there that apparently shorted the board out and says he cant fix it and it wont be covered by the WARRANTY. This part is an electronic board that is not sealed in any way and will short out very easily again AT A COST OF $145.00 EACH after I spent almost a thousand on this stove. What really irritated me is even if I wanted to PAY for the repairs they would not do it. This stove is a piece of CRAP and I WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND OR PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SEARS!!! KENMORE/SEARS APPLIANCES SUCK.

I purchased a Kenmore brand gas range in February 2008 for over $1,000 on sale. Sears installed. I found out upon delivery that it was manufactured by Electrolux. I was unhappy with the stovetop from the start. Its almost impossible to clean once something spilled on it while hot. Functionally, it worked okay. However, when doing self-cleaning process, the oven never really seemed to get clean. On Saturday, March 16, 2013, I ran a cleaning cycle for only 2 hours as it was not that soiled. As per the salespersons instructions, I also cleaned the cast iron stovetop grates in the oven. I noticed that after 30 minutes after cycle completion, stove is still radiating a lot of heat. It was then I noticed that the clear cover over the touch plate on the control panel was melted and discolored. The touch pads would not function. I contacted Sears Appliance and was told I could purchase warranty coverage; otherwise, there would be a service call as well as parts and labor. When I asked if there had been any similar problems, I was told no. When I asked why I would be charged if it was a manufacturing defect, I was told to contact Kenmore. So I contacted Kenmore and was advised it was not covered by any warranty, there were no problems known and no recalls had been issued. Upon checking online, I found numerous similar complaints regarding the control panel melting and one case where the oven actually caught on fire within five minutes of starting cleaning cycle. The individual model numbers were not listed nor the manufacturer. But since most of Kenmore appliances are made by the same manufacturer and just labeled Frigidaire, Electrolux, Tappan, etc., I figure it doesnt really matter. Using my preferred appliance repair person, the panel was replaced at a cost of $298. I had to order the touch pad from Kenmore and Im expecting a 2-3 week wait for delivery and additional cost of $22 for part. Labor is unknown at this time. I know appliances are only built to last 3-5 years anymore, but this still poses a real hazard. Im afraid to run the self-cleaning cycle now for fear of a repeat incident and additional expense. The repairman stated he was unable to determine what caused the malfunction. I believe its partially a design problem as one oven vent is directly below the control panel. I received no satisfaction from Sears or Kenmore. Im wondering if a class action has been discussed.

I have friends and family over a lot, so I have dirty dishes and pots often. I never have to worry about the dishes coming out with food still on them, or my pots. Being single it is perfect for me. Even though I entertain a lot, it handles the big loads, sometimes with space left for more, and I rarely have to worry about a second load. I love the color I chose, gold or yellow because my kitchen is yellow, my stove is yellow, my refrigerator is yellow, my walls are too! It matches just perfectly. This is my first one, and I have never been so done with handwashing. It was worth every dime I paid for it! A definite asset to anyone, you will never handwash again.

Does a thorough job cleaning most dishes. Some utensils still need to be soaked prior to putting them in the dishwasher, but thats about it. Have to get creative with some dishes to ensure they dont prevent the spray bars from spinning. Running two loads wouldnt be an issue if it didnt seem like the standard cycle took all night to finish. The dishwasher complements our kitchen. It looks sharp and the stainless steel is fairly easy to keep clean. The handle is pretty sleek, too. Purchased the dishwasher as part of a Black Friday special. Based on the available features, I still think it offers one of the better values for the upper mid-range of dishwashers.

The Kenmore Electric Range model #790.9011 is a traditional coil top stove
The Kenmore Electric Range model #790.9011 is a traditional coil top stove that I purchased in 2011. Within 2 years of this brand new purchase I had to replace a burner fuse. The part costs $30. Within 5 years, there was a flash of light and a small explosion at the oven control panel and then it went blank. The part cost $170 to replace, assuming that would fix it, according to a parts store expert (he was a former repairman). I didnt think it was worth replacing and had to get a new range. The warranty was for only one year on the Kenmore and according to a store salesman all range brands only have a one year warranty today too. Manufacturers online claim that these types of ranges should last about 16 years. I have since found out that although the latest version of this Kenmore stove rates well with Consumer Reports, it is made by Electrolux, which has a poor repair history and poor brand reliability, according to Consumer Reports. It looks exactly like the Kenmore I bought 5 years ago. I wonder if the Kenmore I purchased in 2011 was also an Electrolux model. I definitely dont recommend the Kenmore Electric Range.

Has lasted for years after many uses and many kids with tons of dirty clothes and a dirty husband. Even had shoes thrown in and still runs like a champ. Plus no lost socks! Works every time all the time. Even dries faster than other dryers Ive used and its great for quick use, plus I love all the options. The price is definitely worth it. I love the appearance of this dryer. It fits my decor greatly and matches my washer perfectly even though they are different models. Its very sleek and looks like a much more expensive dryer and its a mid range price dryer. I love that it looks like a high end dryer. This isnt your mothers dryer, with the old knobs and buttons. I love how this dryer looks.

I bought my Kenmore range a few years ago and I smell gas especially when using the broiler. A serviceman did come out and also checked the oven temp. He said all was fine. We bought a new Kenmore electric range model #790.93751102 in 2001. I have not had any problems with the oven until two nights ago. We turned the oven on to 350 degrees and waited for it to preheat. We put cookies in the oven and within a few minutes there was smoke inside. My daughter opened the door which caused flames. She shut the door. Smoke was all over the house and pouring out of the oven. I turned off the oven thinking that would do it. Smoke was still filling the air and the oven was getting hotter. I looked in the door window and noticed the upper element was on. We decided to turn the breaker off. Im so glad I did not open the door because we heard a pop and flames came shooting out of the door and then quickly got sucked back in. At that point I called 911. The fire department was dispatched as well as some deputies. We were instructed not to open the oven door until someone got there. By the time the deputies had arrived, the oven was no longer smoking. When we turned the breaker back on, the upper element went back on, and we hadnt touched the oven. The broiler just turned on for no reason. I contacted Sears, and the technician said he had never heard anything like that happening. I told him he should do a search because I found that there are plenty of us around. I know the unit is not new, but that shouldnt happen. Thank God no one was hurt, but we could easily have been, and our house could have burnt down. Im glad we did not leave the kitchen to go to another room until the timer went off. Thinking about that makes me shudder.

We bought top loading high efficiency low water washer SN C54547545 in July 2016. It took a lot longer to wash a load. This year 2019 it started acting strange. The clothes were too wet and I’d drain/spin again. Checked the troubleshooting section-nothing worked. I attempted to retrieve a baked casserole from my Kenmore ceramic-top range
I attempted to retrieve a baked casserole from my Kenmore ceramic-top range/oven and when I bent to reach into the oven, the vented heat blew right at my eyes. I jumped back and almost fell. Eyes were reddened into next day; the left worse than right because I lowered myself with my left side closer to the oven. So far, I enjoy the stovetop and size of the range but the excessive heat at eye level seems like a flaw in the overall design and dangerous. Is there any recall or repair that should be done?

We installed a Kenmore gas range top. It is stainless steel and looks spectacular. The range performs extremely well and the temperatures seem to be very accurate. As for the value, again, I think things are grossly overpriced. We have owned this range for over 10 years and have never had the first service call.

First electric stove top and while it did take some adjusting from cooking on a gas range, I am happy I chose my 6 burner Kenmore stove/oven. The Turbo boil and warm zone are a huge plus. Really one one place for a large pan, which is upfront so that is good. This is for a smaller to medium kitchen in my opinion.

Our Oven/Stove is a Induction Stove top and its wonderful, the best appliance we have ever owned. Set the temperature the same for cooking items and get great results. Cools quickly, no burning your fingers. The confection setting for the Oven works so much better than a standard oven as well, cooks more evenly. Love this appliance.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Double Oven Gas Range in November 2011. I also bought an extended warranty. When the range was about 3 yr old the bottom oven failed to heat. It was repaired. Then this past October 2016, the bottom oven wouldnt heat. November 23rd it was repaired. I extended the warranty because with two repairs I wasnt confident with the range. Then on December 20th, I was using the top oven at 400 degrees, and everything was fine. I then turned on the bottom range at 350 degrees, and noticed it wasnt heating after about ten minutes. I opened the oven to see if it was hot. A ball of flames came out at me. I burnt my eyebrows and a good part of my hair. Luckily I was able to shut out any flames on me, and I closed the oven and shut it off.I called Sears the next morning, rather shaken to report what I consider a safety issue. They scheduled a service call so a technician could access the problem. I told them I didnt want it repaired, only replaced. I got a bit of a runaround. They first came quickly then ordered parts. Sears says it is repairable. They scheduled me for Jan 5th, and I waited all day and no one showed. Today, someone came. I said I didnt want it fixed. The service man called his supervisor, then Sears directly called me, and said as part of the process I must have it repaired then file a complaint. When I called they said I should have refused the repair, because now it is deemed in working order. I said I dont feel safe after my ordeal. The supervisor at customer service said even if I had a brand new stove, no one could guarantee my safety. Talk about confidence inspiring. I let them know I wasnt pleased with that. They then offered me a $630 credit towards a new stove. I paid $2,300. I didnt accept yet, because I dont know if I should.

2018 Kenmore Elite Convection Oven. Purchased 3-2018. Problem 1. Double convection bakes terrible. Chicken still raw after 1 1/2 hours. 350 deg. Problem 2. When oven heats up I can NOT open the warmer drawer. Oven swells underneath. When oven cools then I can open it. Problem 3. Extended warranty is a joke. They would not allow us to return this brand new stove. Been fighting with them since April 2018. So $500.00 in parts sent to house. 3 Repairmen to do a 3 hours job that took 6 1/2 hours. 1 repairman sat in the van the entire time. Never came into our home.Problem 4. After putting in NEW damaged parts and turning on stove to heat it up the drawer once again would not open. So now supervisor is sending in a refund ticket. Hi he Warranty Department can refuse us again if they feel they want to. Problem 5. Sears Repair will schedule their own appointments with you without telling you. You’ll get an automated phone call the day before confirming the repair appointment that you NEVER made! Fingers crossed that we can be rid of this stove and Sears very soon! FYI: Don’t fall victim to Sears and their Warranty Plans! I will update.

The range that I had bought only lasted 8 years. The self cleaning oven ruined my range. That is what the repairman told me. I bought the one year service agreement, so when Sears could not fix the range, I got $500.00 toward a new one. That money was meaningless when we went into the store to buy a new one. When the installer that is contracted out by Sears installed my new range, he talked me into buying a new plug for $50.00, and then left the box that the new range came in for me to dispose of in my trash. He did take the old range, and said he would dispose of it by scraping it. They usually get about $25.00 for scrap. Most of my Sears appliances have needed repair work within the first two years. So I do advise getting the extended warranties. The quality of Sears appliances are not that great. But you get what you pay for!

We bought a Kenmore Electric Range 790.9420, 9424 just under 2 years ago for $700 (January 2015). The Convection has never been impressive... Following the directions but still burning items (I have since found out that it shouldve performed much better than that but I had no reference point) and it cant cook more than one item at a time without slowing down the cooking process or burning items. The last straw was two weeks ago, 12/10/16. It made a very loud POP while trying to bake a pizza. It totally stopped baking. For the last two weeks I have gotten the worst customer service through Sears that I have ever experienced. The local store hasnt been able to help (in fact when I tried to call their listed number, they never answered and then the phone call just cut off after 3 minutes of listening to it ring). I had to go into the store to tell the manager that their phone hadnt worked for 3 days as I had tried to reach them, then the 800 Sears Service number that is listed to call has been just terrible. Those at the 800 number must be trained to never help the customer or admit that their product hasnt delivered as it should have AND they arent allowed to give out any information on someone higher than their level to complain to... Absolutely no accountability. The main numbers of 1-800-469-4663 and 1-847-286-2500 have given me NO satisfaction. They have transferred me to Sears Holdings, Sears Solutions, Sears Rewards and NO ONE has been able to help me. All say it is on me, I didnt buy a warranty but that they can come out for $89 to assess it! Are you kidding me? My Stove/oven isnt made to last even 2 years? My phone call issues range from completely dropping my calls, putting me on hold for 25 minutes and never returning to speak to me so I had to hang up and call back and start all over, saying there is no recall or defect on this item so its costs are on me. I have been trying to give Sears some time to take some responsibility for their defective product...I finally had another local repair man come out and they determined it is the Control Panel... Cost is estimated at $250 (thats just for the item), then add the labor. I called Sears with this information. They have no solution other than to tell me to pay their tech to come out and assess it. I will NOT do that. I will not buy a Sears product ever again and I will do my best to let everyone I know to never buy from there again. Other than the store manager who did a good job hearing me but had no authority to help me, I have experienced ZERO customer service. I spoke to the store manager yesterday and there was a sign of a very little movement after I pressed more that my appliance shouldnt break in under 2 years and that anyone must have a warranty for something under 2 years. She was going to contact the Service Factory Manager directly for me. I have doubts that anything will result and plan to buy with a local company. The individuals on the phone are not accountable to anyone... They dont seem to care if you have a lemon or if you will not do business with their company anymore. I was told if I had an issue and wanted to speak to a manager, that I could call back and hopefully I could get through to the Arizona call center versus the Texas one. Are you kidding me? No accountability, No customer service, No standing behind their products and making it right with customers. Terrible. I/we have many more years of buying power and it wont be with Sears. I really hope my review will prevent someone else putting their money and faith into any Sears products.

We purchased our Kenmore stove Model #790.97453804 in June 2010 and until this weekend everything ran smoothly. Just as we had finished dinner the outer glass on the oven door exploded!! Glass blew out about 3 ft. all over the kitchen floor. Our grandson had just walked past the door. This could have been far worse than it was. A visit to Sears on Sunday proved futile as, you guessed it, they had not heard of this happening and didnt know this type thing could happen. Luckily I had taken pictures of everything as proof & showed them. All they did was provide phone numbers, which I called. They could only schedule a service call. I checked the internet for any recalls on this particular model and found none. So we bought another stove but it was NOT a Kenmore. No more Kenmore appliances for our family.

I bought all 4 appliances at one time, Kenmore elite top of line bottom freezer/ref, dishwasher, microwave and electric stove. Ive owned them for at least 4 years and had problems with all of them. I paid top dollar for junk. What put me to post my displeasure was the refrigerator. About 1 month after warranty expired I began to receive Er 1F messages. I read on internet to pull the plug and it will resolve problems. I did it several times a year since then and problem would resolve and come back again. Now its becoming more frequent and water is now leaking from ice-maker. Going to change fan and motherboard to see if it solves the problem. Dishwasher also top of the line which I had to change major part that failed which caused major flood/water damage to house. Lucky that was still under warranty at the time. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Buyers beware. I signed up to a class action suit regarding refrigerator problems couple years back but did not hear back from group filing lawsuit. Sears and Kenmore should stop selling these inferior products with the elite tag. I had a GE appliances that lasted for 10 years or more which was much cheaper and more reliable than these terrible products. No wonder they were pushing me to purchase extended warranty cause there was known problems with these awful appliances.

We own a Kenmore Elite double oven that will no longer hold the racks in place in the bottom oven. This is a very dangerous defect that has caused multiple spills and also burns. Sears claims to be unaware of this defect event though there are many complaints about this same problem on the internet. The problem is caused by the walls of the oven bowing out due to regular use and cleaning of the oven. Sears refuses to issue a recall on the oven and has offered to provide a service call at our expense which does not even guarantee that it can be fixed properly. If this were a car, Im sure it would have to be recalled but I do not believe there are adequate consumer laws that cover appliances. Sears does not stand behind their products.

I own a Kenmore Elite Model #980.9802. It will be 5 years old in August 2014. I paid about $1800.00 for it. In the last few months, my lower oven racks will not stay in place. It seems that either they are smaller or the oven is bigger. I have learned that to repair this problem I need a new oven liner. I have read that this is no small job and that it needs to be repaired by a repairman. We are talking somewhere between $400 and up to fix this. It sounds like a defect. I dont think 4 years later that I should be facing a bill that large to repair my range.

Door storage was fantastic. Ice maker did not take up a significant amount of door space. Being able to alter the configuration of shelving was a nice feature as well. However, will never buy a side-by-side refrigerator again due to lack of freezer space. We have chosen to move to another model but did not purchase a Kenmore in the last purchase. Cost of the refrigerator and the competition of other refrigerators examined was well within our range. We also chose this refrigerator because it was our first personal refrigerator purchase and seemed to be a great purchase.

I believe after viewing so many refrigerators and going to different places to check out, we were impressed with the Kenmore Refrigerator brand. I also checked out other brands and reviews but the Kenmore refrigerator by far was equipped better and the price was in the range we were going to spend. Their refrigerators also had good reviews and we liked the look. The Kenmore Refrigerator stuck out as the one we wanted to purchase. The features were great. It was set up easy to clean and it has a great icemaker.

Kenmore elite wall oven - Purchased in 2010, within the first 90 days, I used the self cleaning feature. It blew the thermal fuse. Repair guy informed us that there was a defect with the wall ovens that this would happen if you use the self cleaning feature. Sears replaced the oven. Our warranty ran out in August 2013. Overflow on a dish that I was cooking required me to use the self cleaning feature (first time on this oven). It locked the door after it finished cleaning. Called repair line and informed them what had happened and gave them the error code. Repair man came a week later and found that the motor cause the door lock was out and they would have to order the part. I dont understand why they did not bring one with them. I asked the gentleman to please bring a thermal fuse based on the last oven. Week 2 the repair guys shows up and puts the motor in and guess what? It will not heat due to the THERMAL FUSE being out. He does not have a thermal fuse with him and they will have to order the part and it will be another week. At this point I have blown my own fuse. 3 weeks without a oven that you told them on the phone what was wrong and they did not bring the parts with them is just a little much for me. PLEASE do not purchase KENMORE appliances unless you too want to experience the frustration that we have. I will never own another. Pass this on to everyone. This was purchased in Bowling Green, KY.

Are these just throw away stoves? Bought a house with Kenmore appliances. Lucky then we had home warranty. First the refrigerator kept freezing up, so warranty sent out Sears to fix it. It was the timer bad. Model 10657368702- 2009 model. Then the stove/oven start burning everything we baked. It was stuck on broil. Warranty company again sent out Sears, said control panel was bad. A week later same thing, Sears was sent back out, control panel, diff. service tech. Ok its working again. Keep in mind, we were starting on pies for the holidays when it chard them to a crisp. Now less than year later, its control panel again. Stuck on broil and smoke you out. Home warranty has now expired. This part is over a $100! No dreaming way. How much is this stove going to cost us in the end? Under home warranty I was paying a copay, now this. The model # is 79096018502. Its now sitting in our kitchen and useless. Gotta pay to haul this thing off now. Its not that far from new. Come on now, three control panels in less than a year at over $100 a pop. So, do we as a Kenmore customer keep buying this control panel at that $100 or would you risk buying another Kenmore and most likely have same expense happen again?

I purchased a Kenmore gas range from Sears in July 2010 based on good experience with a previous Kenmore stove. From the start the Kenmore model 790 made loud booming noises when using the oven. No explosions just a noise that made me fearful of using the oven and definitely reduced my use of it. I returned from holiday vacation to a stove leaking gas with the eyes turned off. The local gas company conducted an inspection and declared the stove dangerous and unsafe. Now the stove sits in my kitchen with a red tag labeled dangerous. I do not plan to repair the four-year old stove. It will be replaced with a new stove and different manufacturer. Thank you to everyone for sharing your experience with Kenmore stoves.

My Kenmore Self-Cleaning range is 5 years old, and about two years ago, I noticed the oven racks were falling out of the groves. The oven box seems to have bowed out and the racks fall out and do not fit anymore. I assumed Sears would take responsibility for this as this should never happen. When I brought the problem to them, they said I must buy new racks costing about $150.00 and that there was no recall on this problem. I think this is unfair and irresponsible on the part of Sears to not recall these ranges or at the very least, replace at no charge the racks.I have been a faithful Kenmore customer for over 30 years, but I will never buy another Kenmore appliance or any appliance from Sears again unless they do the right thing and correct this problem. Without proper fitting racks, the oven is virtually unusable, not to mention a safety hazard as hot items placed on the racks can cause injury when the racks fall out of the groves. I have been burnt more than once due to this. Shame on you Sears!

About 4 years ago, my wife and I bought 6 new Kenmore products for our new home including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator and a washer and dryer. All of these products have failed. The oven will no longer bake. The microwave when turned on has a lighting show in the side which I feel is very unsafe. The dishwasher coating has come off the racks and they are rusting badly. The dryer door will not latch because its broken and the start button has broken too. The washer leaks and keeps stopping in the middle of a cycle and flashing a code for some problem. And last but not the least, the fridges filter leaks. We have tried to contact Kenmore and no one will talk to us or help, and dealing with Sears is just a joke! My wife and I spent very good money on these products and dont feel we should have to replace them 4 years later or have to repair them. They are all Kenmore Elite products and for the money we spent, we think the company should stand behind their products and workmanship. Even a call back or just a response would be nice, but I guess this is a company where once they get your money theyre done with you. If theres any way someone could help us, that would be great. We just want to be able to cook and do laundry again like people with working appliances do. Thank you for your time.

I would like a little louder alarm, I would also like to have a plug in on the back panel. I also would like to make it easier to clean inside of the glass. Otherwise I really enjoy my electric stove. The last one I had lasted 24 years of hard use. Since I love to cook and bake.

The door handle fell off the oven and the oven door fell open in pieces. The product is defective. I have tried reattaching it and it has fallen apart again numerous times. The screws are not long enough. I could easily have been burned or injured if the door fell on me. The outer piece of glass inside the door slipped down. This could have shattered. Called Sears. They offered to send a tech at my expense.

I preferred the appearance of the units that were in my price range and this Kenmore refrigerator has lived up to my expectations. It has fit its needs and use well. The size is convenient for my kitchen space, the door bins are much larger than standard refrigerators which is great for holding Juice bottles and such, I also like the see through shelves which make it easier to spot things in the fridge. But I would like better manufactured motor parts that are higher quality and do not burn up too easily. I would also make the shelves a bit easier to take out as sometimes it is a struggle to line up the tabs properly.

The drum was a little smaller than I would have liked, so it required multiple loads to clean all of the clothes. But the multiple settings were nice and the machine washed my clothes well. My clothes never got caught in the mechanisms and the knobs are easy to clean if they happen to get soap on them. It was a very reliable washer. It didnt leak ever and never broke down. It has a sleek, clean look. Its white, though Id prefer black. The paint has chipped a little, but its not a huge deal. The overall value is excellent. The price is in the middle to upper range, but its effectiveness and consistency makes it worth it. Not being black lowers the value slightly in my eyes.

I have to basically hand wash with soap and a scrub brush beforehand in order to have them come out clean. I am beginning to think of dishwashers as sanitizers rather than something that actually cleans the dishes. Its really quite frustrating. I can fit a lot in there, even though its pretty small. The only issue I have is that some cups dont fit in the top and pans have to be washed separately but thats pretty normal. Its nothing special really, just your typical dishwasher, but its a sleek black that fits nicely with my stove and oven. That being said, it isnt ugly either. As I said before, Im dissatisfied because I shouldnt be required to hand wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Its not only this one Ive had this problem with though, nor this brand.

New stove < 7 months old, on 07/26/2014 @ 0300 cold and unused for days, the lower oven front door glass exploded all over my kitchen like a small bomb. Terrified my wife, and we had glass over everything in the kitchen even well above the level of the door... counters, pictures on the wall, etc... Sears-Kenmore personnel most unhelpful in regards to servicing the warranty and providing corrective action. This company is a dead-man walking in regard to customer service... When you google this Kenmore exploding oven door, there are thousands of cases on the net. I wish I had been bright enough to google it thusly before the purchase. The stove was not cheap. An expensive lesson...

Think twice before buying!! My husband and I paid a small fortune for a Sears Kenmore range one year ago. We thought we were buying a dependable appliance to feed our family. What we bought was a nightmare in a crate. Less than one month after buying the stove, it suddenly locked and we couldnt open it. A technician visited our home and decided due to an electrical problem, the entire thing needed to be replaced. Two weeks later, Sears finally managed to deliver our brand new stove. The replacement lasted 5 months until the motherboard completely fried resulting in another technician visiting our home. We had to wait another week and a half for the newest replacement. It has been 4 months and we discovered this morning that the stove will not turn on at all. Upon calling Sears customer service, we were told the technician will be here in a few days. Hopefully this time we will not have to wait as long to have a device with which to prepare food for our family. This appliance should have come with a money pit warning as that is the only experience we have had with this purchase. We will certainly never buy appliances from Sears again!

We purchased Kenmore washing machine 110.26132410 in March 2016. It has been the “washing machine from hell.” First I noticed the huge amount of lint in the filter of the dryer (same dryer I had with the old washer) when I laundered towels, and these towels were becoming frayed and worn. Then I noticed that there were holes in some towels, as if eaten out by bleach. I had used only as much bleach as indicated in the manual and put it in the bleach dispenser. Finally before my one year warranty ran out, I called for a technician. He found nothing wrong, but noticed that the bleach on my shelf was the “splash-less” type. He said that the bleach just goes to the bottom of the tub and could just stay there and not mix with the water enough and therefore get on the towels. He suggested that I use the “liquid” type bleach. There was no mention in the manual to use only the liquid bleach. I will say that there have been no new holes in my towels, but my towels have continued to wear out at an unusually high rate, and the lint filter on the dryer is still completely full after each load. I also noticed that this washer did not clean well and sometimes noticed that some clothes were not even wet. When I bought this, I had thought that the feature of “deep fill” would be useful, but found that it could only be used with “heavy duty” setting or above, not for “normal” or below. This washer has proven to be very unsatisfactory, and I will buy a new washer when I can afford to do so.

Love the brand. I have been a Kenmore customer since I moved out on my own. Both my parents and Grandparents were Kenmore lovers. I have had both washer and dryers as well as stove, microwave. I have never had the brand fail me. I have even purchased Kenmore appliances used due to their reliability and my inability to afford a new appliance. My fridge has even cooling. No warm spots. There is also more than enough room for all of my needs. The height is good, all my bottles and jugs fit upright, no laying things down so the contents can leak out. Its also easy to see what youre looking for. I like the ability to change my shelves to fit the needs, such as the holidays fitting all the pies, desserts and salads in and still having room for all the regular fridge items. However, I dont like the plastic shelf barriers. They should be metal. So if something is a bit large it just bulges instead of breaking. I dont care for shortness of the drawers. I thought they were longer so things like stalks of celery and bags of carrots fit without trimming them.

We purchased a Sears slide-in gas range model 790.367 in 2008. Up to this point we have had some issues but nothing major. At this point the racks will no longer stay in place. We learned about this the hard way. This is the same problem others have described. I discussed this with the manager of our local Sears who was unaware of the problem but made a call to a long time service tech who told him that he was aware of this problem. He suggested we slide the unit out and push the walls in. We were not comfortable with this. We are considering making a service appointment but are concerned about paying a lot of money and having the problem recur. I chatted with the Sears expert who was not at all helpful. We are at a loss about what to do. We consider this a serious safety issue and will not use the oven. Like others we paid a lot of money for an oven we cant use. We feel that this is clearly a product defect and that Sears should help us.

We have been loyal Kenmore customers since we were married in 1975. Currently we have a Kenmore refrigerator, freezer, stove, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. We have been well served by Kenmore appliances for forty years but our washing machine is extremely frustrating. It is a series 500 high efficiency washer. It is not efficient at all because we frequently have to wash things twice to get them clean. We purchase and use the recommended detergent. It is very slow so it wastes time. I have tried to trick it by adding extra water but that doesnt seem to help. We regret our purchase every week on laundry day. Is Kenmore doing anything to retain dissatisfied customers like us? We are fed up with a all of the problems. If Kenmore will offer a solution to replace the machine I will stay with a Kenmore machine. If not I will buy a different machine.

Kenmore Elite oven model#: 790.4107 - We broke the glass top and a serviceman just finished replacing the glass top and we noticed the glass door handle was loose. So he then begin tightening the oven door handle at the screws when the entire outside glass door cover exploded throwing glass on both of us and all across the room. It was obvious from looking at how the door was constructed that a design flaw was the cause BUT neither the manufacturer or Sears would accept responsibility And both said the other designed the oven and passed the blame on the other. Because we had no warranty or a Sears serviceman doing the job at $175.00 more, Sears refused accepting any fault but our own.

Everybody should have this brand. They are really good on their sizes. They have the right size for everybody. They have a long range of models so Im sure you will find the right size one you are looking for.Very good looking models. They look somewhat similar but you can tell the difference between them. I have a black one to match my other appliances but I really liked the one I have and the stainless ones they are very nice. They dont really cost that much for the quality of them. Its well worth it but Im a firm believer in you pay for what you get and you get good merchandise with this company.

This washer is awesome. If you have seen commercials where they put filthy dishes in to wash and find it unbelievable, you can believe it now. I tested it. It really works with this dishwasher. I give it a score of 15 out of a possible 10. Its that good. It is the perfect size. With a family of four we can start putting the dishes in at breakfast. Throughout the day we keep adding more dishes. You would think we would run out of room before dinner, that is not so. We still have room for the dirty dinner dishes. You wouldnt think that a dishwasher could be described as pretty but this one can. I got it in the silver or chrome color and it matches the refrigerator and the oven and stove. They all look really pretty next to each other. It is definitely worth every penny I spent on it. It wasnt very expensive at all. There were other brands that did the exact same thing but were more expensive. It turned out to be a really good value.

After MORE Consumer Report Research (and you have to pay for this), for 2016 Microwave / Convection models, CR rated the Kenmore Elite 79080373310 an excellent unit out of the ones tested. I ordered it Thanksgiving morning, it was installed today 11/28. The convection oven does not reach temperature. Thinking the thermometers were bad, I went out and purchased a new one tonight. The Convection oven does not reach temperature. I called Sears (the Worst company to try and reach a department), after being transferred to the Philippines over and again, I was told a technician was schedule to come out on 12/12. Guess what, I am not waiting 2 weeks for a tech to come out to tell me the part is on back order. I want the unit exchanged immediately! What kind of junk is coming to consumers that we have to deal with this? They want me to wait 48 hrs to hear from the installation team.Updated on 12/19/2015: Continuation... Sears came out on 12/12 to replace the non working Kenmore Elite convection over the range unit. The installers did not re tape the exhaust vent and the vent air is being circulated through my cabinets. The new Kenmore Elite convection does NOT WORK! Once again hit 350/450 degrees (to check temp). Youre lucky if the temp gets to 300 degrees (yet the unit said it reached temp). I asked for a service tech to come out to verify that the oven was not getting to temp. Bob came out, tried to give me a line of bull that the electricity was not good but I immediately called an electrician who said The tech is trying to snow you. Dont believe him! Bob went on to say that the heating elements are located in the left rear causing uneven heating where the left will get done first and the right side would take more time. Bob went on to say that ALL the GEs and Kenmores he has worked on and as a matter of fact, all the new microwaves are NOT GETTING TO TEMP. He said most people use it to reheat, make popcorn, make a pizza. They dont bake/roast in it. Well my thinking this is FRAUD AND FALSE ADVERTISING as well as UNSAFE. Poultry, meats, etc. need to be cooked at a certain temp. If some inexperienced person follows a recipe... put in at 350, bake 25 minutes and takes it out to eat it, the poultry, meat will not be cooked because at 350 youd be lucky if the temp gets to 250. This is now my second Kenmore Elite and they are suppose to come out today between 1-5pm to install yet another 3 new Kenmore Elite. I am beside myself that Bob said all the GEs he installed in Monsey, NY are having the same problems. To me and my opinion, that means that the vendor who they purchased the heating elements is selling bad stuff. Where is quality control in the companies who are selling these products? In addition I feel that each time they remove/install, they are weakening the cabinets that the units are being installed in. Where does it stop? Who needs to take responsibility? There should be a recall on these and/or the companies need to send out a tech at their own expense to have the microwave/convection tested. To see that they reach temperature. This is UNSAFE for people wanting to bake or roast in the units.

This dishwasher is much better than my previous one. It uses less detergent and is more energy efficient. It is also much quieter than my last model. The interior racks also provide better loading arrangements. This model fit perfectly into my previous dishwashers slot. It seems to have more interior space and better design of the racks permitting better organization of dishes. I really like the streamlined appearance of this dishwasher. It has that fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish and is easy to keep clean. I am very satisfied with this unit. I purchase the Kenmore Elite double oven approx three years ago. It has been a disaster from the start! The issues was the rewiring needed for the product that I was not told about. This requires an electrician and an extra charge that is Kenmore specific. The first set of ovens did not work at all. After paying the additional cost for the change the ovens were installed and they did not work. The installer could do nothing and I had to call for a repair. I requested a new set of oven and after a week or two receive a new set. Within 6 month I noticed the doors on the ovens would not close properly and that the calibration was off. I requested another set again to no avail. To date I have had 2/3 additional service calls for the ovens for the same problem. I have requested a new set or satisfaction each time. The most recent repair was in July 2016. Now Nov 26, 2016 they are saying the problem is no longer under warranty for the repair or the extended warranty I purchased. The customer service center has had problems scheduling, sending two repair people or say there is no appointment and then a repairman shows up anyway. This happens even with confirmations and secondary verifications. There was a time when the Sears brand stood for quality, and great customer service. Those days are no more. I purchased a full suite of appliances for a gourmet kitchen with the Kenmore Elite Brand and the two most expensive items, the fridge and the double ovens have had significant problems and repairs. I have been loyal to Sears and so as my family making it a tradition for over 30 years of my adult life. My parent bought Sears as did my entire family but NO MORE! I will exhaust my points and the boycott will begin. We will NEVER purchase anything from Sears again nor will we recommend the store or their products.

The size is about average for what they used to be. I know now some high-end models can hold a lot more but this is more than enough for the average household. It reminds me of every other fridge that has come out in the last twenty-five years that is the basic model of course. Big white surface to attach all your magnets and school report cards too. The cost is no more or less than the average fridge of that type and size. Of course you can spend a lot more for side by side doors and in door water and ice but those most people do not need in reality.

They were a beautiful color of burnt orange. They never got scratched and looked as new as when I purchased when they are taken away 10 yrs later. Works very fast and gets clothes very clean provided you use the right soap. Made sure that the lines are connected correctly. This was an item I bought on eBay and found that it was worth the price. Bought it bundled with a dryer. Cleans my items every time without fail. Only became unreliable when the top started to rust so I called the washer repair guy and asked to have the rust taken off. Instead they replaced the entire top of the washer. Appearance remained great until the rust showed up. The rust made the top of the dryer get dark and brown and strange. The appearance fell apart at that point. It was strange to see my clothes not look so nice at that point. It was very cheap, only a few hundred dollars so I was okay with the item totally falling apart when it did despite the fact that it was inconvenient. The value for me was perceived in the amount of money that I ultimately did not spend.

Purchased a Kenmore Electric Range in March 2017. Last Monday night 11/06, while using the oven at 450 degrees, the glass in the oven door exploded and shattered. 3rd party technician arrived today for service appointment. Opened the door and confirmed the window was shattered (nice work genius) and informed me that it would take two additional weeks for the parts to arrive. In my opinion, if something this violent happens to a product, then I would say its defective. I want my defective stove to be replaced!I have spoke with exactly 10 Sears and Kenmore representatives today and have not received any assistance on the replacement of my defective stove. Even drove down to the store I purchased it from to seek some assistance... That was a useless waste of time! I have even had two representatives tell me that it usually takes seven or eight occurrences or service calls before they deem a product un-repairable and would consider replacing it. So... Kenmore and Sears would rather keep an appliance in service with risk to my family if the window decides to fully explode and shatter, rather than just replacing a range??? I have never experienced such a poor level of customer service as I have today. This is a perfect example of why the Sears Holding stock is only at $4.50 per share this morning and the fact that they are closing another 100+ stores. They treated me like I was some sort of thieve and all I was trying to do is replace a defective range to keep my family safe. What really blew me away!!! I told the last customer service person that Kenmore does NOT stand behind their quality or product! Freddies response was that Kenmore doesnt even produce or manufacture the ranges. They are made by Whirlpool and Kenmore slaps their brand name on the product. Freddie wasnt even fazed, almost like he didnt even care. Guess I wouldnt care either if I was working for a sinking ship!

He makes his wife clean the old fashion way because of all the problems he has seen. He said there were no recalls, and he couldnt give me a discount. He asked if I had the extended warranty problem. I said no... but this shouldnt be happening. He said he agrees, but he was only the service man. I am really disappointed that this is considered normal... and it is a big hazard... I am now in the process of finding a new oven... and believe me it wont be Sears... and wanting an oven without self clean... That feature should be taken off... It is amazing how much more you spend on an oven with that feature, a feature that can blow up your oven. The pride sure has gone out of American Made Products... Just venting... no pun intended.

Purchased oven in 2013. Worked well for a while, but now I am having a problem with the controls. Recently, the oven control panel has started flickering and will not completely shut down when the ovens timer reaches zero. Big disappointment!

The range is not bad for the price. It would be nice if it offered a little more room in the oven. It would also be nice if you could get a good peek inside the oven without having to open the door all the time.

The microwave oven tech explained that unless you open the very difficult to open door exactly right, then you might pop the fuse in the oven and short it out. If you lift up just slightly on the door rather than pulling precisely level it could pop. Very poor design if its that easy to do.

This is the 3rd time I had sears out to fix stove. 1st glass blew out (scratched the whole inside 2nd circuit board/ and now again the circuit board. When you use self cleaning more than 3 times blows board. All in all I have been without the use of my stove about eight weeks. When you call for service and you give them error code. They come out (waiting a week or longer) without parts and you have to wait another 2 weeks for them to fix. Just wish they would credit me and let me buy another brand. This stove is only 1 year old. Very unhappy.

My Kenmore Built-in oven is a workhorse. I have had one service call in 16 years of using it, and that was due to something I did wrong. I dont know how old it is, but it was built in when we bought the house in 1999. They may no longer be as good, but one can hope.

Purchased Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator in January of 2013. We had a problem with the water line in January. The tech fixed the problem in February after the part arrived. Next we started having problems with the water dispenser. The dispenser would freeze not allowing us to get any water. We scheduled another repair which took about 3 weeks. The tech came 1 hour 45 minutes late with an 18-year old girl whom he said was his daughter. The tech worked on the refrigerator and left. By the time he got to the end of the driveway the refrigerator was not working again. I called for another service appt. and was scheduled for 2 weeks later. The same repairman arrived on time with the same 18-year old girl. The tech worked on the refrigerator and said he had the temperature as low as it could go and fixed the water dispenser. I was told not to keep the milk at the top of the refrigerator because it was freezing. 2 days after the repairman left the water dispenser was not working again. We were also experiencing things at the top of the refrigerator freezing. Service was called again and about 3 weeks later a tech arrived on time to repair the water dispenser. This time the tech used our hair dryer to unthaw a pipe at the bottom of the refrigerator behind the crisp bins. The tech said that we needed to keep food items away from the walls of the refrigerator and away from the sensor. The tech arranged the items in the refrigerator to help us out. One day after he left the same problem reoccurred. Service was called again and was scheduled 3 weeks later. We are waiting for February 11th to see the outcome of this repair. Someone has to take off work each time we need service. This has been a nightmare! Each time you call service you are transferred and placed on hold for one half hour at a time.

Nice looking oven, but it Shuts down randomly - F44 code. Had it replaced in less than a month after purchasing it NEW and the replacement does the exact same thing. SUCKS! We do not want this computerized **. Just give me a manual operated oven! We are going to have to get something other than this oven.

Had it for several years. Has worked perfectly. Mother bought and now I have it. Has been clean many times. I remember many holidays and family get togethers. It cleans up easily and has been in many a picture as our family gathered in Moms kitchen. I have also owned a Kenmore stove. It lasted so long I could no longer find parts for it.

I purchased a custom home a few years ago and the microwave and oven combo were installed. The paint has peeled inside my microwave and is now rusted. I have called customer service and they advise purchasing a whole new set, although this is almost new or very gently used. Customer service is not helpful (extended wait hold time; ignorant product sales representatives who transfer to other departments with ignorant personnel). When I asked to speak to a supervisor the call was dropped...This has happened on numerous occasions, so it is not just a fluke. I will NOT purchase ANY KENMORE product ever! I advise others to consider purchasing any other brand but KENMORE.
