Never had a problem with my washer or dryer. Theyre pretty much a basic washer and dryer for a base model, but they work good for the price I paid for them. They always wash the loads and the dryer is quiet. They are made by one of the best company for this. You can always count on Kenmore to have a good product and the price is fair for what you get. I would not have a problem buying one again. They are always on sale at Sears and you cannot beat the price of these two.

I bought this set the Kenmore Elite front load washer and dryer model 41100/81100. So disappointed. They are an expensive set paying $1500 a piece! 2 Years old about six months ago I had a repairman in to change the rubber molding on the washer. It stains no matter what you do! I tried wiping it out after each use leaving the door open to dry out (which I shouldnt have to do these things). The smell is awful. I have bought cleaners, bleached it, vinegar any trick possible to get my clothes not to stink! My towels are garbage. Now they smell like mold... My dryer just went down too! Only works about 10 minutes. Shuts off with error message! I wont even call the repairman this time. Not going to throw more money out my window! As soon as Im able this set will be on the street in the garbage pile! I paid a little more to get the Kenmores for their reputation of being quality! I wont be purchasing anything from Sears again!

I love this dryer and all the different settings it has. I have had it for about a year and I am completely satisfied with its performance. Whether I am drying heavy duty clothing such as jeans or sweatshirts, the performance is right on. Lightweight items such as delicate blouse also get the same treatment. I love the appearance of my Kenmore dryer. It is piggy backed with a front loading Kenmore washing machine and they make an impressive looking team. You cannot beat the prices of Kenmore products. The value is incredibly good as they are hard working and durable appliances. I would definitely recommend this product.

My experience has been wonderful. The clothes come out very clean and they wash in record time! The kenmore dryer is perfect for large quantities of laundry and it gets all lint off of my clothes. I would recommend anyone to buy this brand of appliance.

In my opinion this product was very efficient at its job. It hasnt broken yet after 5+ years of use. This company is great! Also Id recommend getting the washer/dryer both from Kenmore. This product has a very good capacity and almost never gets filled up. It is very efficient and doesnt take long to get the job done. In general it is a very reliable machine. The appearance of the product is very modern and goes with almost any setting. The sound it makes when its finished isnt annoying like other products. In my opinion, this machines value is priceless. It never breaks. Has a large load capacity. It has a cool design and is overall my favorite appliance.

The Elite series washer and dryer set are priced pretty high however I am in an area without many choices. The machines operations are good however it is difficult to read the selections to choose from for setting the mode. I would recommend this pair.

It works really good, no problems with it. I can wash close for a really long time, back to back all day doesnt matter it wont wear out, I recommend it doesnt warm the whole house up in the summer either. I think you should try it. I bought mine used. Its a really good dryer, works really good. If you trust me I bought it at a used appliance store havent hand one problem with it. I like the way it looks I rather have the top open drying than the middle open dryer. It matches everything else in my laundry room too. Its white with the knobs and everything works really good. The price was really cheap since I bought it used. Im sure its expensive when you buy it brand new but all around its a really good dryer.

I was raised with a Kenmore washer and dryer, always in our home. My mom and dad started the tradition from my youth. When I got married, I got a Kenmore washer and dryer Of course with the changes within the Sears family, the service has changed but the quality remains. At one time my husband and I found a deal on a GE washer and dryer, it wound up being the worst purchase we ever made. I plan to stick with Kenmore.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Dryer from Sears at Southpark Mall, Strongsville, Ohio.This dryer was not cheap. Although I am very sorry I did not purchase the warranty plan. I did not, because in past years I never had trouble with Kenmore appliances.This dryer is so loud! I did call a few times to complain about it. I recommend that no one purchases this dryer. It has gotten to the point where it sounds like someone is beating it with a baseball bat! Unbearable. And finally it came to the point that I dont feel safe with it running. I am forced to purchase another new dryer! This one is only 5 yrs old now. This is a gas dryer and I am afraid of the thing actually blowing up in the house because the shaking and banging is so rough and loud. I feel it has already affected the gas line. Dont buy a Sears Kenmore Elite! An employee actually hung up on me 3 years ago when I complained about this dryer!This dryer is a safety issue in your home!

Dries clothes very well. I like having the different heat options for delicate and cotton items. The anti wrinkle setting is awesome as well. I have had this dryer for a few months and have had no problems. I normally only have to run the dryer once to get everything dry unless it is bedding. Mine sit right off my kitchen so appearance was important to me. Thankfully I was able to get a matching washer as well. They go well with my other appliances. Well worth the price. The new technology makes drying easier and faster. Now if they would just make something that folds my clothes and puts them away.

Both washer and dryer are solid, give great performance. Annual maintenance is all it takes. Clothes come out nice and clean. Just a little of baking soda and vinegar to clean the washing machine so that keeps smell very clean and fresh. Very pleased with unit. The dryer also requires little care other than cleaning lint from the screen. Once a year maintenance for pipe cleaning is all you need.

Best appliance I have ever owned. Washing machine gets my clothes so clean and sanitized. I wash my clothes in half the time it used to take. I love the steam dryer. No wrinkles in my clothes anymore. I would highly recommend the washer and dryer.

The Kenmore deluxe dryer with heat sensor technology deserves nothing less than poor performance rating from this purchaser. I have had Sears service technician here several times trying to satisfy my complaint that it dries clothes poorly. After several computer assisted adjustments it still does not dry socks and heavy bulky items after being in the dryer 60 plus minutes.Terrible dryer, many different settings have been tried with no success. The auto dry feature does not work as advertised. The technician said its the dryer sheets. Bunk, I hardly use any. Warning try and get any assistance from Sears in Chicago, forget it. Junk, dont buy appliances from Sears. I have been a loyal Sears customer 30 plus years and their stuff is so bad. Im glad they are failing and going under as I had to get rid of their washer. It was so undependable. Buy from dependable manufacturers and remember Sears is not what we remember them for.

Kenmore is of the best choice of washing and drying machines but they do not last thirty years like washers and dryers used too. I for one am in need of New washer and dryer but can not afford one at this time. Have stretched self repair to my limits.

Time to replace our 16 yr old washer and dryer. So many bad reviews out there... We felt we had to choose the lesser of the evils because there was no overall good washer/dryer out there! We found a good deal on the Kenmore Elite top load washer model 31512 and the matching dryer model 61512. I expected problems to arise from all the complaints about electronics and washer stopping.... Been using it for 2 months now and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised! The errors that did occur were normal occurring errors w/ any washer. Got excited about the extra large tub and I loaded it up! (We are a family of 6!) Of course it didnt clean well. (Had to try it anyways! lol!) The 2 times it shut off was due to imbalance. My old washer would have shut off too. It appears that if you keep opening and shutting the lid while its filling up it will add more water too. Wanted to keep peeking inside and was alarmed at all the water usage! Then I figured out it was every time I opened the door it would add more water. My FAVORITE is the quick wash cycle!! Not only does the larger tub allow me to do more laundry, but I can pick Quick cycle and itll be done in 35 minutes not an hour!! Whoooo Hoooo!! (Of course real dirty stuff I stay on the normal cycle.) The dryer is great. Because the washer spins the heck out of the clothes, the dryer doesnt take as long to dry. Also, lots of complaints about it not cleaning..... I honestly think it may be an overloading issue. You cant stuff it. 3/4 the way up the wall is enough to load it and if you want to add more water, you just push a button. I really do like this so far. Oh....if you are wanting the dryer rack to go inside the dryer for shoes and sweaters I have battled the giant on this for you... They sent me the wrong rack twice and insisted that it was the right one. I had to send photos to the consumer affairs dept and such to prove the rack they were sending was wrong! Come to find out the warehouse was pulling the incorrect rack because the manufacturer was out of the correct one. One size does not fit all! This has been going on over a month to get the correct rack. Make sure you get rack 3751EL1001B. It is NOT symmetrical like the 3750 version. Hope this helps some of you out there and you are pleased with it like I am. :)

We bought our Kenmore washer and dryer several years ago and at the time, the combo set was very highly rated by Consumer Reports. As of this writing, they still perform well and have been doing a fine job these last few years. Occasionally, a stain my come after the wash (not sure how it occurs), but if you re-wash - the stain will come out. This is a rare occurrence, but most of the time the clothes come out of the wash fine and in good shape - also no issues with the dryer - these are stackable units and we do have them stacked to save space. There can be odors from time to time and one needs to clean out some fluid build-up from time to time to combat that, but there are directions on how to do that. Overall, very satisfied with both units.

I have always been happy with my Kenmore washer and dryer. My family has used both for many years with minimal problems. They have outlasted other appliances in our home and continue to do a great job with multiple daily use. I have never had a problem with the dryer running a full cycle and the clothes still being wet, which I have experienced with other dryers. The washer has always run smoothly. Id recommend Kenmore appliances and will most likely purchase the same brand when it finally comes time to replace my current washer and dryer.

I loved the quality of the refrigerator and the fact that Kenmore has a great brand name and recognition. Have used their washers and dryers for years with no issues. I loved the fridges top double doors and the bottom pullout freezer. There was plenty of space in both the upper and lower portions of it and pullout shelves were fantastic and spill proof. Lots of room but lighting in the interior could have been a little better but it was just fine. The freezer was great also.

I like the way it gets my clothes clean. It is very efficient and does not use a whole lot of water when washing. If I had to make another purchase for a washer or dryer I know that I would choose the same one as I have. I have had my current washer and dryer for about two months and so far I must say that I am very happy. I would recommend this product to my friends and family and the cost is still reasonable. The whole set that I have is white. The washer is loaded from the top and so is the dryer. I love the way that the combination works out with the color of my home. I did a little shopping around and a few different stores before I made a final decision on the set that I have now. I found it for various prices in each store but I ended up paying about six hundred for the whole set.

My Kenmore is a plain-looking white dryer, nothing fancy. It has one button for the setting and one button to push and start the actual dryer. If I usually want something to dry very quickly, I usually put it on the extremely hot setting and it takes less time to dry. Although it doesnt fit all my needs, it gets the job done and is better than drying clothes outside or going to the laundromat. If you are looking for something simple to dry clothes in, this is for you.

We like that it is a frontload washer and dryer. Also, you can stack the washer and dryer if you chose to. The amount of detergent we save is amazing. Kenmore is a name that you can depend on. We havent had any problems with either the washer or dryer.

I owned a front load washer and dryer. I enjoyed the large amount of clothes that I could wash and dry. Even comforters were no problem for these machines. Unfortunately when the belts went out, it was not possible to have them repaired. The cost of repair would have been substantial. It was more feasible to buy a used washer, not a front load unfortunately. Keep up your extended warranty if you can afford it, and this will be the best washer and dryer you will ever own.

Ive had my Kenmore washer and dryer for 2 years. Its the very first washer and dryer Ive ever had. Ive never had a problem with them. I wash 3 to 4 loads of clothes weekly. They have a nice capacity for my family and I clothing to be washed. They wash clothing fast and get them nice and clean.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer and dryer in 2006. I would never buy another one. They are the worst pair I have ever owned. There always seems to be a problem. Just a little frustrating like getting off balance multiple times during each wash, even if I carefully place the clothes around the sides. It is perfectly level also. The sensor of the dryer quit years ago. I cant leave the washer and dryer on without being in the house to try to fix the problem when it occurs, or to check the clothes, to see if they are dry. The pair cost me $1,948.92 in 2006. I had just retired, and hoped this pair would last. I want to be reimbursed, so I can purchase a different pair. I wouldnt even feel honest, if I give them to goodwill.

I have had the same wash dryer for almost 10 years, they both still work great! I also grew up using the same name of appliances. The Kenmore products have always been used in my home. And I would recommend Kenmore any day.

There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and drying your face with a smelly moldy towel. Kenmore smartwash 5+ front load washer smells like mold even after cleaning with bleach solution, washing machine cleaner, and leaving the door open all the time which block the doorway and is very inconvenient. Clothes are left smelling even after rinsing twice and using dryer sheets. I have talked to a repairman. We have extended warranty with no solution to this problem. Unless you are right there to remove from washer immediately, which is ridiculous and cleaning the rubber around the door constantly is a joke. I would never have bought this product if I knew and I am very disappointed. Why hasnt this machine been recalled.

I only had one problem with washer. A leaking component in the front middle needed to be replaced after warranty expired. Cost about $135.00. Still works great after 22 years. No problems with the dryer.

The only brand that lasts. It has a better cleaning rotation and it rings out the clothes for faster drying. The only brand I want to clean my clothes. Not a favorite chore doing laundry... but a good machine makes it better! The only washer drum that I can fit a king size comforter in... I really disliked taking those to the laundromat. In the old days I had to drive to the next town over... but now I can stay at home and wash them. It is a nice sparkling white color. I like its appearance. It looks good side by side with the dryer. I am completely happy with the appearance. The value is you no longer have to drag clothes to the laundromat with your detergent and fabric softener and hunt up quarters and drag it back home. You save time and gas money... Very valuable!

Wife and I bought a new washer & dryer from Sears, a Kenmore Elite Quad Action and 4 weeks later Im doing wash just pulled clothes out of washer and with lid up on my top load washer, putting detergent and the lid blow apart for no reason. Called Sears and got to wait 3 weeks to get someone out.

I loved my Kenmore Elite washer at first, but started having problems within the first year. It got out of balance and my once whisper quiet washer became much louder. Then, it started smelling sour - even when I started leaving the door open after washes so it would dry out. Now, its filling up with water between washes and I have to spin and drain each time before using it to empty out the water. Also, most times, the clothes are too damp after the wash cycle and then take too long to dry. They used to be practically dry before I put them in the dryer. To be fair, Ive probably had this washer for 6 or so years, but Ive gotten less and less happy as each year goes by.

It is a good washer machine. Its HE efficient. The Kenmore brand is very good at producing washer/dryer machines that are of quality. The washer machine is reliable. It can fit all of my items according to its settings (like cotton, delicates, etc.). The appearance of the washer machine is satisfactory, in my opinion. The important thing is functionality of the product. The machine is efficient in its work. The value of the machine is good. The price of the machine was a fair market value price, not overly expensive.

Great appliances!! From setting your wash preference on your washer and removing the lint from your dryer they are the best! Washes perfectly and dries the clothes without a problem. Definitely worth the money.

The dryer performed as expected, and generally got all of the clothes dry. Occasionally if there was more than a standard load or a heavy item, I had to put some things back for 10 or 15 minutes. I bought scratch and dent at an outlet, but it didnt affect performance and really looked good too as the dents werent readily visible. I was happy with the purchase. Most of the time, it fit everything I needed it to. I found it to be very reliable. I never had any problems with it as there were no maintenance issues. I would recommend it to others. Considering it was scratch and dent, it looked very good and would have looked good if bought at the regular store too. The dents were located where you wouldnt notice them unless you were specifically looking for them. It had the appearance of a normal dryer. While it didnt have all the bells and whistles, I felt that its performance was at least as good as the higher end machines. It was a great value as it got the clothes dry, but didnt cost an arm and a leg.

Both the Kenmore washer and dryer were used on a daily basis, as I have four children. They stood up to harsh conditions for many years, and still work to this day. In the future I will purchase Kenmore. I never had to call a repairman the whole time I have owned the Kenmore washer and dryer. General everyday maintenance that I can do myself worked out just fine. I kept them clean, especially the lint screen on the dryer, and do not ever have a problem. I have filled the washer to capacity many times which did not slow my washer down a bit. Every week I run a cup of vinegar through the washer to keep down sewer smells. These things proved to work perfectly fine. My washer and dryer are not the new front loading, modern style. They are the regular washer that is a top loader and the dryer is a regular front loader that have been the style for many years. However, my washer and dryer do not look much older than the new models that are on the showroom floors today. They look as new and shiny as the day I bought them. I purchased my Kenmore washer for not more than $350 and the matching dryer cost near that, at almost $400. I got a good deal for the money I spent.

Kenmore washers and dryers are the best value in todays market. Because of their value, I have been buying Kenmore washers and dryers for 50 years. They are attractive and fit in very well wherever you need to put them. Both the washers and dryers are so easy to clean and can fit in any decor, even they have to be placed in a kitchen. Also, they do such a great job and the clothes come out so clean and in perfect shape. The dryers and the washers have all the settings for delicate and sturdy laundry. Kenmore washers and dryers are always so reliable.

3 years never any problems. They run well, look like new, no leaks, no noises, dry well, wash well, no problems, quiet, efficient, and built tough. Great washer and dryers. They are reliable in the fact that they have never broken down, never had to pay any out of pocket costs, no repairs, no leaks. Great product, well made, long lasting, great resale value. White, side by side top loading washer, front loading dryer, electric dryer, 3 prong plug for dryer, still has the blue film on them, look brand new after 3 years. I paid around 600 for the pair and sold them for 1/2 at 300 after 3 years due to moving, so pretty good resale value and probably could have gotten more if I had the time.

I was not impressed with this washer. I went from using a regular washer to this and the clothes didnt come clean even on a small load. The washer barely filled with water and some of the clothes came out of the wash still having dry spots on them from where they didnt even get wet. This washer was not reliable because the clothes didnt get clean and some didnt even get wet. Not to mention that it takes over an hour to wash one load of laundry. The washer looked nice but it just didnt wash good. I sent it back after 3 days of use. The metal that the washer was made from also seemed kind of flimsy. I paid over a thousand dollars for the washer and dryer set and was very disappointed. It used very little water and didnt even cover the clothes leaving dry spots on some of the clothes from not agitating very well.

When it worked, it was a fair washer. However, it seemed to be broke more than it worked. For that reason I made the choice to go with a different style as well as a different brand. I am happy with my choice. The same goes with the dryer. It would take hours upon hours to dry my clothes when it should have only taken one cycle, roughly an hour, it would take multiple cycles.

Has worked fine. NO problems with the appliances. The only problem weve had is because our basement floor slopes so sometimes the dryer rattles, but that has nothing to do with your brand.

No problems at all in 15 years including heating element which is the most common failure. Clothes are dried exceptionally well and lint free for the most part. We have used extensively. Would buy again. I would highly recommend and would replace in kind when needed. Great value considering competition and features actually used. Too many others have features never used and therefore useless for the money. More than adequate for my needs. A good bang for the buck and very reliable. We use several times a week with all clothes.

I trusted Kenmore appliances until my recent purchase. I bought a high end washer and dryer, including service plan. Washer has been a pain from the start, five service calls later and still not fixed. The repairman today said he couldnt do anything about it and told my husband to deal with it!! SHODDY JUNK product, terrible customer service. STAY AWAY!

Hundreds of people have gone online to complain about oil spots on clothes from Kenmore Elite washers. Their strategy is to deny the problem as their path of damage control. Owners are told its fabric softener, the wrong soap, their water softener, overloading. They know this is bull. They have made a conscious decision to buffalo the public by acting like this is always a surprise at every service call. Hey Sears! Pick up a few offending machines and troubleshoot them until you find the offending part(s). You replace a part at a time until the spots are gone...duh! This absolutely needs to be a class action suit. Dont tell me Sears isnt playing dumb. Anyone can get on the Internet and read hundreds of complaints. And you will see these posts followed up by carefully scripted responses from Sears Service Dept. This is a skillfully choreographed response to stonewall owners of these washers. Even their own service technicians say Sears wont even tell them anything until a recall is announced. Until then, the word is out, Everybody play dumb while we decide what to do. Dont sit home day after day waiting for repairmen to tell you its your detergent, your water softener, your fabric softener. Their own technicians tell me, anonymously, that the overdone technology washes clothes with too little water. Owners are being told to use as little as a tablespoon of HE detergent. Then youre left with too little water + too little detergent = clothes that dont get washed. If you havent gotten the drift of this post yet, Ill spell it out. This is a design and engineering problem. Unless you plan to redesign how your Kenmore Elite washes clothes, you arent going to fix this problem. My washer and dryer combo is going back to Sears. If they refuse, my next step will be an attorney who isnt shy about filing class action suits. It would look a lot better for Sears if theyd stop playing dumb and step up to the plate. If not, well drag Sears up to the plate.

If you have nice clothes you want better dependable washers and dryers to keep your clothes nice. You want to be able to keep your clothes looking new and not all day every time you wash and dry them. You want to be able to wash and dry your clothes knowing that the machinery is not going to break down any time while youre using them. We have never had to have a service person come up to the house to look at any of our washer dryers that are the Kenmore brand. Its now the year 2016 getting ready to be the 2017. You want top of the line modern appliances that fit with your interior and the modern look of your house. You dont want washer and dryers that look like theyre made in the 1950s. We bought our washer and dryer brand new and even with the payments had them paid off within a year and a half. Very reasonable and didnt even notice the money missing from our banking accounts as the we paid the bills.

Purchase a kenmore washer and dryer in september 2012 from sears. Today august 17 noticed rust forming around the perimeter of the bleach dispenser. First amazed that this should happen to a kenmore. Then after reading similar messages on the web, disappointed that Kenmore has not done anything to correct the problem. And by disavowing any responsibility for the issue under warranty, by doing this I have the impression that they knew of this issue some time ago. I will try and correct the problem but like many others have found.... rust never really goes away. May be the last time I buy a Kenmore and products from whatever manufacturer actually makes the machine. There was a time, if in nothing else, you could trust a Kenmore.

This is a good quality dryer. It has lasted for many years and keeps drying very well. It does not wrinkle clothing and is very easy to operate. I would buy this dryer again. This dryer is very reliable and has been used a very lot. It dries very good. IT DRIES VERY GOOD. KENMORE MAKES GOOD QUALITY PRODUCTS THAT LAST AND LAST. WOULD GLADLY BUY THE SAME ONE AGAIN. This dryer from kenmore is very stylish in appearance, made very well, knobs are well placed and easy to turn. It fits with any decor. You will be well satisfied. I have owned my washer and dryer set for 3 years now and love it. My parents have owned Kenmore products since I can remember. When me and my husband bought our first home, of course all our appliances had to be Kenmore. My parents trust Kenmore and so do I.

Able to wash and dry a large volume of clothes at one time. Attractive looking and hard working. The appliance size fits in nicely in our laundry area. They are also very easy to use and pretty quiet to use. Both the washer and dryer were very affordable and I would not hesitate to purchase a Kenmore product in the future. We have had no service issues ever aside from ordering replacement pieces. The appliances are over 10 years old and are used constantly!

On March 24, 2011 I purchased a new Kenmore Washer Model #21102 and a matching dryer which I have yet to hook or use. The dryer that is, not the washer. The washer has been a problem from day one. In my opinion its a design flaw on more than one account. The fins on this washer - and Im not a newbie to washers Ive had washers and dryers for over 50 years - and this the very first washer to tear clothing constantly and to get clothing lodged below the fins and thus tangle and tear them. It seemed to be more of a problem for my daughter so I was quite sure what was going on. Was it her or the washer but then it did the same for me.In the 50 years of owning washers Ive never had to replace a belt and shield on a washer either. Ive gone more than a decade without having to do so but this is now the 2nd time I need to replace both in less than 4 years. Apparently the Kenmore name is no longer bullet-proof. My mother went 20 years without seeing a repairman on her Kenmore appliances either. So what is this a faulty design flaw or just crap?

My Kenmore washer and dryer are very reliable; I have never had any problems with the washer or dryer. Very quiet also. They are on our first floor, right next to the kitchen, and we barely hear them!

We have a Kenmore Elite Smart Wash Quietpak 4 model 11049962603 that we bought in 08/2009 with a 2-year warranty. It is now 11/2011. The machine was replacing a 30 yr. old Maytag that still worked. Our 30 yr. old dryer had died and we thought we would buy a new energy saving set. We were sorry we did. The Maytag would probably still be working. The washer just stopped working the other day. We called Sears Repair to fix it (thats where we got it from). The repair guy came out and said the motor board needed to be replaced. He quoted us $671.13 to repair it. We paid $863.99 plus taxes for the machine (see the problem here?). We refused service at this time, because we wanted to see if something could be done about the costs. In my opinion, we would be better off getting another new machine that doesnt have 2 years of wear and tear on it (we are out $129 for the service call already).I called their 800 number to see if anything could be done. Yes, this is outsourced. I wish they would give the jobs to Americans. We need all the jobs we can get. Well, as with many others, I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do except sell me a 1-year extended warranty for $319.99. It would cover the cost of the repair guy, any parts and labor up to $500. If we take this route, we will be out $129 for the original service call, $319.99 for the warranty, and $171.13 for the costs above $500. The grand total is $620.12 (not much savings here). I called the Escalation Department at 800-376-0557 (at least, I got an American this time). Again, I was told there was nothing they could do since the warranty expired 3 months ago on my 2-year-old machine.The entire time I questioned them all on the price of the part to fix our machine. The repair guy wanted to charge us $503 for the part. On the Sears website, the part is going for $372.70. I asked everyone why such a big difference in the price to no avail. I was told, I dont know anything about the website.” Or, I was told, The repair people and the website each charge their own prices.” I was told by the repair guy that if we picked up the part ourselves, he would install it for another $129 for the call. The grand total here is $501.70 plus the $129 for the original service call. Well, if you are going to gouge customers for not only the service call but also on the parts, I am taking my business elsewhere because of the principle of it all. My husband searched the part out at other places online and we found we could pick the part up starting at $142 for a refurbish and around $225ish for new (we may fix it ourselves).

I have had my Kenmore washer and dryer for almost 2 years. I have only had to have one repair on my washer and it was a fluke accident. I have been very pleased with both machines and would buy the same ones again.

I bought this unit in November 2018. Within a week I k e I was not happy with it. I should have returned n.j dd it right away but really needed a washer/dryer. #1 it is extremely noisy. I call customer service and they sent somebody to come look at it. He even call the tech while he was here and let him listen. He ordered a new clutch ut. It didnt help and told me that is just the way it was. Then I realized just how user unfiendly it is. You have to start filling it, stop it to put detergent in, start again then stop to put clothes in. Then you have to pay attention to when the rinse cycle starts. Stop again to put the fabric softener in. If you dont catch it you are screwed and have to do a rinse and spin cycle!!! I hate this machine and will never buy another Kenmore! If I could sell it I would and get something else. Very unhappy customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE!

The model number of these two Kenmore refrigerators is 106 71194101; S/N for the one in our kitchen is EM2815239, the S/N for the one in our basement is EM3413223. The refrigerator in our kitchen started depositing water in the cabinet area, coming out of the tower. I placed a container under the tower to catch the water and this continued for a week, when we finally called the service department. The service representative knew immediately what was wrong with the refrigerator. He said it was frozen up and was depositing the water that should be going into the defrost pan into the cabinet area via the tower. He said it was a faulty design of this particular model refrigerator. He tore the entire freezer area apart and there was ice accumulated on the coils and under the bottom pan of the freezer area. This cost us $140 (a senior discount). Just a couple of weeks ago, this refrigerator again started to deposit water in the cabinet area, so we knew what the problem was and we tore the freezer area apart, as the service representative had done and removed all the ice that had once again accumulated in the freezer area. These refrigerators are supposed to be frost-free and this is getting to be quite a job, as in the last week, we also found water had accumulated in our basement refrigerator. Quite a large amount of water was in the cabinet as we do not get into this refrigerator daily. So once again, we had to put all the food in coolers and dismantle the freezer and had to use a hair dryer, due to the fact that the ice had become very thick around the tower and we could not remove the bottom pan until we melted it. This is getting very annoying and a lot of work having to remove all the food from the freezer and trying to keep it frozen, so it wont spoil. We have been very loyal customers of Sears. We have always had Sears washers and dryers, many tools have been purchased by my husband, lawn mowers, blowers, etc. Actually, I worked for Sears in the Credit Dept. Canton, OH after my graduation in 1948, until I was married in 1949. I was a very active shopper from the catalog, for our children, when I was working, made if very convenient to use. Just had to pick up the items at the catalog dept. I still buy many things of clothing for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren from Sears. We are so disappointed in these 2 refrigerators. I would like to know if you have any suggestions as to how the poor design of these refrigerators can be corrected so they do not freeze up. Thank you. Our machines so far have lasted for 18 years with no problems. They have done the job, worked well and have not required any repairs. What more can you ask from a washer and dryer.

Does what it says it will do, gets the clothes clean and doesnt require special detergent. Did not need any repairs. Will take a large enough load to wash what I need it to wash. I have a family of 4 and typically do 3 loads of laundry a week. It will comfortably accommodate a full-size comforter. Classic styling in white. Washer and dryer match, but if I needed to replace one or the other, I wouldnt have to buy them both again. Easy to clean surfaces. Price paid for this washer and dryer is a fair price based on what it does and what I need it to do. You can buy more expensive models that have advanced features for more money. This one is pretty basic.

Very good washer and dryer. Its quality made plus its American made. It was bought from Sears which serviced with a warranty. I would recommend both the washer and dryer. Kenmore is a quality product, I still buy product with this name from Sears.

We purchased a new Kenmore 700 series high efficiency washer and dryer from Sears a year ago. These were expensive machines. We have had problems with both from day one but no luck with getting any repairs done and now the warranty is out. Sears doesnt want to talk about it and the warranty company only wants to sell more useless warranties. The washer plain and simple doesnt put enough water in the machine to wash anything. To do a small load I have to put it on the heavy setting and use the deep fill to get enough water to get the clothes even wet and then it takes nearly 2 hours to complete the load. If I put in anything more than a small load it starts screaming like it is going to explode. The only way to stop the noise is to drain the water, take out all but a couple of items and start again. This is not a high efficiency machine it is a no efficiency machine.It doesnt clean, it takes forever to complete a cycle and clothes come out dirty and tangled. The dryer isnt much better. It takes forever to dry and no matter what cycle I put it on the clothes are so wrinkled and tangled I have to iron everything, so to avoid that I mostly hang up all my clothes wet and dont use the dryer. I am a past laundromat owner and Ill tell you that these are the worst pieces of equipment ever put on the market!!! Sears/Kenmore should have to replace these machines with ones that work as they are advertised. My advice is to stay away from Kenmore and Sears to buy your appliances.

My previous Kenmore dryer was twenty years old but had to replace due to cellar being flooded or it would be still working today. My dryer now is six years old and runs like it is brand new. It is very reliable, efficient and trustworthy. It is well-made and strong and sturdy. Has a modern appearance and fits well. Was easy to install and runs quietly. It does the job for my needs, and does a good job at drying the clothes. This dryer was of great value to meet my budget. For the size and price it is the ideal dryer for one or two people in a household. It is a product I would recommend to anyone.

Its an easy to use appliance, and in all the years Ive had it and used it there have been no problems with its operation! It does need to be cleaned to keep working well, but its worth it to have such a great washer and dryer. It also had a lot of settings so you can safely wash delicate items or avoid shrinking your favorite shirt! Its an incredibly reliable washer and dryer system. Ive had to clean it out a few times, but its normal. Its also great at washing all size loads. Ive had large loads of towels, and each one had come out clean and then were able to dry easily.They can sit side by side or they can be stacked on top of one another. I have mine sitting side by side and arent too bulky and certainly arent an eyesore. Overall they look sleek, modern, and simple. My washer and dryer systems were an excellent value. For how well they work, how it looks, and how long they have lasted me I got a great value. It also was a good price for all the features they have like being front loading & having multiple washing and drying options.

Very cost effective and gets clothes very clean. Extra features like delayed start is amazing. Super quiet and easy to use. No mechanical problems. Has 60 different options and combos to get your clothes clean. My favorite is the express wash. I always find something I need to wear but it dirty, 20 min later Im ready to go. They look nothing like the wash/dryer I grew up with. These machine are intuitive and really make laundry easy. I am saving money on detergent and water!!! This will help to get clothes cleaner while using less detergent and water. You clothes get dry five times faster. And easy of use make doing laundry almost fun.

I was mostly happy with my Kenmore washer & dryer. The best part was having the warranty so that when they had trouble I could get them repaired. The dryer belt did wear out a couple times, but that is par for the course I suppose.

I have used a Kenmore washer and dryer for a number of years. My experience with these appliances has been excellent. When I required service of any type the company provided excellent service. These Kenmore products are of very fine quality and easy to use.

This washer and dryer are very attractive in appearance and very easy to keep clean. It has a lot of knobs and settings but very easy to operate. They have been a god send. Dont remember what I paid for them but whatever I paid it was well worth it. Its the best washing machine I have ever had. It has a large tub for big loads so you can cut water level down for very small loads and the different water levels have helped on utility bills. It also has different wash cycles from very heavy to delicate. I have owned this washer for over twelve years and has never failed to work and have never had a repairman out. Great machine.

I have had my washer and dryer for about 18 years and knock on wood it has never give me any problems. It take a licking and keeps on kicking. I would recommend them to anyone. Mine are getting old and outdated but still does the job and I would buy that brand again. The appearance is not very pretty anymore, but they are in a washroom so that does not matter. What matters is that they are still after all these years still functional. I cant remember what I paid for the set 19 years ago but it was worth whatever it was. They have seen to my need and I do about 4 loads a week every week.

Had this Kenmore dryer for a long time, its one of the best ones out there on the market. The dryer did better than expected. Lasted a long time, never any problems with it. For the money, the washer and dryer is the best value with the least problems out there. The price is right and you will be pleasantly surprised with the performance of this quality washer and dryer. And looks great for appearance. Very happy to own this. I can definitely recommend this high quality product.

It was the first washer I bought and used it for many years. In the market to buy another one. Great product. Bought a different brand that didnt hold up as well. Definitely prefer the Kenmore brand to the last washer I had. My Kenmore dryer is very old but it still works. May have to get a set.

Very well made. Had them for many years and were used many, many times. They were handed down to my daughter to use with her family. I only had to change belts once on washer and twice on dryer.

It is reliable and really cleans the clothes and dries them quickly. I dont have to keep the clothes in the dryer very long because the spin cycle of the washer is so thorough. When I put detergent in the washer, it does not cause over sudsing so my clothes dont feel sticky as if soap was still in them. There are many options for washing and drying and even just fluffing them or keeping them from getting wrinkles. As a result, I dont have to use as much fabric softener as I did with past appliances.

It cleans really good and dries my clothes fast. Its dependable and reliable and it doesnt break down like what I used to have. The price was reasonable for both dryer and washer combo.

I love my washer and dryer. It always gets the job done and in a relatively short amount of time. It easily holds my large loads of wash and everything come out clean, never have to worry about stains! My dryer has many settings for a variety of items. I am always positive that my laundry will be dry, fluffy and wrinkle free. Our king size comes out just as fluffy and beautiful as a load of sheets. For the price I paid it is an amazing value. I run this thing like a racehorse almost every day of the week and it never lets me down. I know I can depend on my Kenmore washer.

Purchased dryer in 2013, just got it paid off and dryer started shutting off after a few minutes and getting error code CE. We have had the venting system cleaned by professional and new vent hose checked and there was no lint blockage. Repairman said it was motor. He put one that didnt work. He came back and put on new heating element... then didnt work. I have been without a dryer for 3 weeks. It will work if I unhook machine from dryer vent. What is the problem. I have seen many other complaints about Sears unable to fix this machine?

I like the sleek look with very detailed instructions and large tubs. They get clothes very clean in the washing and they dry quickly and the clothes come out soft and with very few wrinkles. They are stylish and last a very long time and are always dependable. I can always count on Kenmore to give me the results I am looking for and expect in the washers and dryers. The Kenmore devices I had was a washer and dryer. The machines were very reliable and dependable up until the day they did not work anymore. I had my Kenmore washer and dryer for more than 20 years. I was able to wash clothes several times a week. This was one experience in a washer and dryer that I would recommend to other users.

I have had this machine for 3 years now and hate it every time I do laundry. The only function I can use is the timed dry. When I use the other functions, the machine doesnt dry the clothes or takes all day to dry one load. I called a technician to come and look over my dryer. This technician told me that the dry clothes are coming in contact with the sensor inside the machine next to the lint holder and left. I started putting smaller loads in the dryer and did not help. So I tried the timed dry to see if this would work and it does. But why spend money on a machine if you can only use one function? Useless is what I tell ya.

Washer and dryer work perfectly. Had them for years with no problems. We only buy Kenmore appliances. We have had some of our appliances for decades. Washer and dryer is always reliable. Clothes are clean and fresh. Towels are always fresh and soft. Kenmore has the best appliances. The appearance of the Kenmore appliances work well in any home. My Kenmore dryer is so old that it is the old avocado green from the seventies. Value just goes with the Kenmore brand. Not cheap. Very good quality for what you pay.

I trust the quality that Kenmore puts into their products. The dials on the machines are very straightforward and not confusing. I am very pleased with the product.

We just purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer but it hasnt arrived yet. Our other set is a Kenmore front loader, which is okay but the rubber seal went out. So unless we wanted to pay $450.00 for the repair cost for a rubber seal, it made more sense to purchase a new set. The quality was poor in the Kenmore. Im looking forward to the new set!

Kenmore stackable washer/dryer - I think its ridiculous that you spend over a 1000.00 on an appliance and cant even buy parts for it. You have to order them and wait days!!!! If Sears is going to sell them they should carry parts. I should not have to pay 2 service charges. Rip off.

I am satisfied with how my washer and dryer works. It gets our clothes clean, and we dont need to use as much laundry detergent. Its Energy Star, so it helps save us money. I would recommend these appliance with friends and family.

Kenmore Front Loading washer and dryer, 7 years. Like the front loading and water/electricity efficiency. The dryer is humidity intolerant according to the service department. Control boards have been replaced twice since we bought it. Having to repair a brand new dryer is not something that we expected. Will not purchase from Kenmore again. The control boards are NOT cheap. The feature list for the washer and dryer are long. Many different cycles for both the washer and dryer and the washer has custom cycles. The dryer is not as efficient as it should be and sometimes takes multiple cycles to dry items such as jeans and blankets. This does not however make up for the multiple repairs on the dryer within the first 2 years of ownership.

Kenmore elite super large pair made by LG - king sized comforter washed and dried easily. Love them. I like the idea that I can wash large items and huge loads with no problem. Did not need the steam function - have not used it yet. I bought when they were almost 50% off. I have always had good luck with Kenmore products. I had a top loader and electric dryer. The energy cost was unbelievable. The front loader does a much better job of cleaning my clothes. Dont use the steam cycle so it was a waste of money. Has so many cycles but most of the time I use Normal. I like the idea that it can be diagnosed if there is ever a problem.

I bought my Kenmore washer and dryer set at a low price on Black Friday one year. It was a matching set both were white with gray knobs which added a nice touch to my gray laundry room. The washer was a top loader and the dryer was a front loader. Also, the set was very reliable. The washer cleaned clothes thoroughly and the dryer dried my clothes in barely any time at all. In fact, I used the set for 5 years and after all that time, it still worked just as good as the first day I bought it. I feel like I could have sold them at 5 years old for the same price. It was definitely worth the money! I loved my Kenmore washer and dryer set.

Weve had our Kenmore washer and dryer for about 6 years with only one minor problem. The handle of the dryer broke but was replaced by a service tech completely under the warranty. The washer has no issues. We have the stacked front loading models. I would purchase these again in a heartbeat and highly recommend Kenmore appliances.

Purchased July 2011. Motor died March 2012. Rotary belt needed service January 2013. Now with lid open machine with begin new wash cycle on its on for the past week or so. There is a short in the electronics. We need to unplug the machine and then plug it back in between loads. There are 2 of us and do about 3 to 4 loads of easy laundry a week. So now after 4 years our efficient washer will be added to the local landfill. We grew on Kenmore and will never buy another. The heating element in the dryer purchased at the same time is fading. After reading reviews were not alone.

My first purchase of a Kenmore Refrigerator was in 1998 when I purchased my new home. It lasted with no problems until December of 2012. I figured 14 years for 1,000 was worth it even though some say they last up to 20 years. Anyway, being satisfied, of course, I looked for another Kenmore to replace my old one and surprisingly found one for a little under a grand even though it was 14 years later. Well, I got too excited because as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The refrigerator looked nice and was up to par however, the material that it was made out of was very cheap and flimsy. I had a pitcher of tea on the side compartment and the handle was protruding just a little so when I closed it, it hit the shelf just barely, I swear, and the white part covering the glass shelf just broke off. And this happened within 3 months. I was so devastated that my practically new fridge was now damaged that I called about getting it replaced. I had to get a shelf replaced in my old one and it only cost $15 so I figured it would be no more than $25? Boy was I wrong. They wanted $150 to replace the shelf even though it certainly wasnt worth it. Then all of a sudden, without any impact, I started noticing cracks all over the refrigerator. One on the side door, one on the bottom drawer. Cracks were showing up in places that had no chance of being hit so I came to the conclusion that the material was just cheap junk and now my refrigerator is barely 3 years old and it has all of these cracks in it and frankly, its embarrassing. Im not going to buy a new one just because of cosmetics so I guess Im stuck with this inferior crap until I need a new one due to malfunction. But Ill tell you one thing, I will DEFINITELY NOT get another Kenmore. I dont know what Kenmore was doing in 2012, but they certainly werent looking out for their customers. Price probably didnt go up like expected over 14 years because they cut back on the quality of their material, but they should know that in the long run, that will cost them and not make them profits because I will never buy another Kenmore again. And that includes my washer and dryer, microwave as well.

My 20+ year old Kenmore Washer was amazing! It was a top-loader that seemed to spin clothes to almost-dry making dryer time less. I recently replaced it with a Maytag front loader only because my dryer went & felt like I needed to keep equal sized/dated pairs. The Maytag is not all I hoped it would be. Needs a lot of cleaning maintenance where the Whirlpool stayed clean & fresh smelling.

Good size and works great. Have not had any issues yet except the one time a shirt got caught in the door. It ruined it when it started spinning. Its been very reliable so far. I think we bought the warranty but no need to use it yet for either washer or dryer. It looks like all the other front load machines. Looks nice. No issues. Can stack to save space. Ours is white and it looks very good. I dont remember the exact price but I think it was fairly reasonable to buy. We didnt buy the most expensive machine but it does everything that we need.

Dries fine, however it gets a musty odor. I would not suggest this dryer based on that alone. It is impossible to clean it or get the smell out! I am disappointed as I have used Kenmore brands in the past and never had an issue until now. Odor aside, the machine dries well and has not really given me any problems over the years that I have owned it. I have not had to call maintenance. I tend to keep the lint vent clean after every use and I believe that helps.Very sturdy looking machine, visually appealing. The brand comes in many different colors. Mine is white and I have no issues keeping it looking clean. I like the window on the front for seeing the clothes spinning inside the dryer. The value is just ok. It dries well but the odor takes away from the usefulness. Sometimes I think it is better to line dry or not use this machine at all! It is pointless to wash clothes and then have them get smelly in the dryer.

Very satisfied. I have the matching washer and I have been able to purchase replacement parts for it on amazon. Simple to repair. I have never experienced any mechanical issues with my washer or dryer that would impede their reliability. I have had my set for years without any major mechanical or operational issues. It looks like any other standard front loading dryer. Its white. Buttons are simple to use. Although I did have an issue with one of the knobs falling off. My set was given to me. I did research what the retail price would be per unit. 499 seems fair. For the overall performance of the machines over the years, if I had to, I would purchase them myself for the suggested selling price.

We purchased the Kenmore Elite washer (and dryer) at the Leesburg, FL store location prior to moving from Leesburg to Crossville, TN. in 2006. It was delivered to our TN address (**) from the Cookville, TN. Sears store. Not long after, I wrote a letter to Sears regarding a problem with it becoming (seriously) unbalanced during the wash cycle. I sent pictures of a wash load whereby a single item so completely covered the remaining items that it looked like a giant mushroom. The response - use the correct wash cycle!!! Hello-I was not born yesterday & have been using washing machine for years. It is now 2014, we are back in Florida, same washer & it is worse than ever!!! I literally have to unbalance almost EVERY load, regardless what I am washing.Today it was four very lightweight shirts, two bras & a couple pair of undies...on the delicate/had wash cycle & I had to manually unbalance the load no less than EIGHT times. Please advise if I have ANY recourse. I had no idea this was such a widespread problem. We NEVER received a notice or letter from Sears on the matter (other than telling me how to wash clothes when I did complain!). Thank you.

I have no complaints other than it doesnt control lint as well as the old one did. Overall its pretty good. I pre-soak bad stains and it does a good job of washing them out. It hasnt asked yet but this is a stacker washer dryer unit...about 15 years old now.

I have owned Kenmore appliances in the past and I have been very happy with. Both the washer and dryer lasted us quite a long time. I do recommend to anybody looking for appliances to shop Kenmore.
