Its performance is great! Enough room for everything and dries faster than most other dryers. I am really happy with the way it works and am beyond satisfied with its performance. I do believe it is reliable but have had some minor issues with it. Other than some minor issues it is great. I love the way it looks. That is one of the reasons that it was picked. It is a very good looking machine and would pick again solely on its appearance. The performance and other features are definitely more than what is on standard machines so the price is worth the value to me.

In the time span that I owned this machine, it didnt break down a single time. There is nothing more reliable than this. This looked very modern in my house. It was very stylish. The best part about it is it is one of the only washer or dryers out there that look good and perform well. There is no other machine out there that you can get more out of your money for. It is relatively cheap and performs as if it were the most expensive washer our there.

I bought a Kenmore front load dryer in Sept of 2014, have not had it for even 2 years yet. My issues started to happen 2 months after I bought it. First it was not turning off even when you press the cancel button. Had a tech come out and fix it. Today the dryer shocked me, burnt the closing door button and now it doesnt turn on at all. Called Kenmore and they will not replace it because my warranty is expired. I believe a dryer shouldnt shock you at all. Not even 2 years I had this dryer and its broken. I have a dryer thats 15 years old and runs to this day without any repairs. Shame on you Kenmore for not standing by your products. Will not be a returning customer!

Mine is a basic white dryer, not fancy, no step up, just a dryer, but its perfect for me and my family. It looks like a normal dryer. Fits all my needs perfectly. I love it, it is simple and easy to use, even my teenager can understand. Also, I love the brand, very trustworthy. Even my older dryer, I wouldnt change a thing. Very dependable, quiet, excellent dryer. I love the buzzer feature that lets me know its done, also how it starts back up after a bit if I havent unloaded it to prevent wrinkles. It wasnt expensive, basic dryer, but its value to me is priceless. It makes life so much easier. To think of doing laundry at a laundromat makes me cringe, even hanging clothes outside makes me cringe.

The Kenmore brand fits into my lifestyle. This is a brand that will last a long time. I have used this brand before. I have found that the brand does not require a lot of maintenance. We have had our dryer for at least 3 years now and it still looks fairly new, like it just came out of the box. There are no scratches on it. I guess we paid a good price for our dryer. It didnt cost an arm and a leg. We paid 300 for the dryer. I think that is a good value for the money. We got it at a discount. The store we went to was having a sale.

I was raised in a household of Kenmore appliances. So when I married and started setting up house, it was only natural to get Kenmore appliances. My first washer and dryer were Kenmore. When those quit working, after many years, I got another set of Kenmore washer and dryer. Again I was very happy with them. If they ever needed service, the Sears service people were very good. They made the repair quickly and efficiently. When I went to get my third set of appliances from Sears, I found that the prices had gone up terribly high. I could get the same machines in the Whirlpool brand for about 2/3 of the price. That is what I have now, Whirlpool. Same great product... but less expensive.

Have to wash my clothes twice to even get them semi clean. Leaves soap residue and lint behind and I only use liquid soap. Want my money back and will never buy a Kenmore again. Good riddance Sears!

Very reliable dryer, plenty of space for larger loads of clothes. Worked well for over 10 years without breaking or needing major repairs. Although its obviously not gorgeous, its simple and the design is clean. Easy to access buttons. Extremely large and clunky, takes up a large amount of space. Although I can no longer remember how much it had cost originally, I believe that this dryer is a good value for the price and reliability of the machine.

It is reliable and really cleans the clothes and dries them quickly. I dont have to keep the clothes in the dryer very long because the spin cycle of the washer is so thorough. When I put detergent in the washer, it does not cause over sudsing so my clothes dont feel sticky as if soap was still in them. There are many options for washing and drying and even just fluffing them or keeping them from getting wrinkles. As a result, I dont have to use as much fabric softener as I did with past appliances.

Those machines took a lot of use and never stop working. We were a family of 5 and so they were used at least 10 times a week. If not for the reliability I dont know how we would have gotten along. The benefits of those machines were greatly appreciated with the usage that my family put on them. I would recommend them to others and if I were living in a house I would get another Kenmore washer and dryer. I didnt care for the square shape or the hideous color, but considering that back in the 70s those were the fashion shades of choice. At that time the prices were very reasonable, today they would be considered as low priced.

The dryers reliability has been great. And it has been through some rigorous daily grind. Its still like new. The clothes come out fresh, nice and hot right out of the dryer, and we have a very big family to test the reliability. The dryers appearance at first seem like it looks like the rest but when you look at the features, you will be amazed at the potential to never take your eyes off of it when you do your laundry. The perceived value I got was spectacular. With what you all get for the durability, stability of this dryer, you would pay more for a different name to get this all in one dryer you will ever need.

Ive been using this brand for 30+ years. You cant beat it!! In 30 years Ive owned 4 of your washers and they were great and had little to no trouble with them!! I wouldnt change a thing except find a stronger more durable fiber to use for the belts!! They have a great look but the look is not as important as performance!!! But they look great and I wouldnt change a thing!! Keep up the great work. It is really a great value for the money. They last forever so it is totally worth it in the long run!! It is very old and still works well. I have personally had this dryer for 16 years and it is at least 30 years old on its own. I got it when I moved into my home and have loved it, it is without problems and will probably last longer than I will.

I cant get my clothes clean using the washer. Lint is left in large splotches on dark clothes or in a light layer all over everything. Customer service is non-existent. Everyone says the same thing, the machine is designed to operate like this and the techs have no background to adjust the electronics (could be water level sensor, could be software - the mechanic they send cant do any of it). I think its actually dangerous to have this amount of lint in my house. It stays on my towels, linens, and dont talk about the mattress pad!

Kenmore Elite Washing Machine - We received the recall notice, and even though we have experienced no issues with our washing machine since we purchased it several years ago, my husband called to schedule the service because it was a safety recall. The technician came out on February 8th and slowed the speed of the spin cycle on the bulky items selection. The first time I washed clothes after that, I had multiple UE (unbalanced error) and it actually took one cycle 2 hours and 45 minutes before I could finally get the clothes clean and rinsed somewhat, and then spun out and into the dryer. I tried several other cycles, selecting different spin speeds, and never could wash a load without standing around redistributing the clothes in the tub. My husband called again and they sent a different technician on February 18th, who ran diagnostics and said the tests showed nothing was wrong. He advised me on how to wash clothes - two of each item, large loads, etc. - and said there appeared to be nothing wrong after he ran a partial cycle with no clothes in the washer. He instructed me to let it finish and then he closed the ticket. Today, once again, all my weekly loads had UE multiple times during the cycles. My husband called Sears again and it will be two more weeks - now it will be March - before they can send another technician. The lady offered him a discount on a new washing machine if he wanted to replace this one! Needless to say, my advice is dont call and have the reprogramming done if you havent experienced the issues described in the recall notice.

I have the same issue as J. of Waukeegan, IL (2/17/15) and I am sure many others that my Kenmore HE washer does not clean clothes. Although I have tried all different detergents (all HE) and all size loads and all settings including deep wash, two rinses, super wash and so on, the laundry comes out with white marks, dry spots (the section of the clothes that are folded do not get wet), and full of lint, fuzz and dog hair. My laundry comes out of the washer dirtier than it goes in. It is truly disgusting. I have contact customer service and sent them pictures and they eventually agreed to send a service representative. But the representative only tested if the washer was going through its cycles properly, he did not test to see how it washed clothes. I showed him the dirty clothes that came out the wash and the only recommendation that was given was to do three loads without detergent and then use only a small amount of detergent for all future washes. We have been only using the small amount of detergent as the representative indicated, however, we followed his instructions of running the three washes without detergent anyway and as we expected, it did not have any affect on the functionality of the washer. I am certain that this model just does not allow enough water to wash the clothes and since it is on a sensor we cannot adjust the amount of water. Before the representative was sent I clearly explained that the washer was working as it was designed, the problem was that it was designed poorly. Yet the representative was sent to only see if the washer was functioning as designed and made no effort to see if it actually washed clothes or to understand the problem (it was not the representatives fault, he was very polite and tried to help, he just wasnt allowed to do anything more). I am so highly disappointed that Sears will not help me but also so disappointed that they can have such a bad product AND they are not interested in understanding its product flaws and improving their product line.

Kenmore appliances are excellent. Ive had my Kenmore dryer for 15 years and its still running fine. Never had any problems with it. I also had a Kenmore washer that lasted for 12 years and it was running fine when we decided to replace it for a newer model with more features.

It was so convenient to have the washer and dryer in our trailer. I had a 3 year old and was pregnant with my next child so I had plenty of laundry to do. We never were dirty! It was totally reliable. However, it moved across the floor if I put too much in it. I had to sit on it to control the movement sometimes. It was a matching white pair that fit neatly into an alcove off the hall in front of the bathroom, so it was a convenient location, near the places wed be removing our dirty clothing. The washer and dryer were also shiny and easy to clean.

If you would like a long lasting dryer I would definitely recommend this one. I was not impressed by the color options. The options that were available did not go with the color scheme in my laundry room, however it was an affordable price and had great reviews so I went with this one. You definitely get your bang for your buck. I have not yet had to do any maintenance work or get it tuned up/fixed so I have saved money doing this. Also I do not have to use it as much and long as my previous dryer so I save money on my energy bill.

Do Not Buy Kenmore products!!! I purchased all new Kenmore. Elite appliances 3 years ago... plus a front load washer and dryer. Washer had to be replaced 18 months later. Microwave lightbulbs... requires 2... $35 a piece! Now the Elite bottom freezer refrigerator has died... 3 years and thousands of dollars later... same experience as everyone else here. No wonder Sears is going under. Customer service is HORRIBLE. Repairman finally came out and replaced the compressor... 2 days later and unit is not cooling enough. Now I have to go through this garbage again. Repairman said he has at least two of these repairs a day. Compressors are NO GOOD. STAY AWAY FROM KENMORE!!!

I needed to replace my old Kenmore washer and dryer after many successful years of use---did research but not enough, apparently. I have never been so disappointed with a Sears product as with this washer. Unable to soak heavy hobby dirt overnight, I hate the auto lock feature, and the lack of enough water in tub. I have to use the double rinse and extra fill of water every time plus the heavy duty cycle. Powders like soap and oxy need to be dissolved in a tub before you use them or your clothing will come out with white powder patches. Clothes are often not clean because of the lack of water fill. I complained to the clerk at Sears who sold me the washer after just a couple weeks and he was rude and discounted all of my concerns. By the time I went back again after a few weeks, he said the time lapsed and the machine could not be returned. I really wish I had kept my old machine until the motor totally quit. I hate the electronic controls that turn on if you even wash the top or sometimes walk by the machine. I have never been so disappointed in a product as this before. The Sears official site kept telling me there was an error in my submission and booting me off, and I strongly suspect it is because the review was negative. I purchased the matching dryer and it is fine except for dirt that collects on the inside rims of the door with each load... I empty the lint screen but dirt still collects on the door. The washer also takes twice as long as any washer I have ever had, and I am 73 with a history of at least 5 washers in my life. I hope buyers will not make my mistake with the 600 series of Kenmore top loader washer machines. Thank you for reading.

Comes in handy when you forget the Downy. I have had two different sets of washer and dryers. The first one was a Whirlpool. My second set is Kenmore. Out of the two, Im very happy with my Kenmore.

It has never given me any problems. It has simple instructions on how to use it and it will be a reliable washer if you follow those instructions. It is just a regular washer nothing fancy. But it gets your clothes clean and it does it in a timely manner. I like a plain look to a washer and dryer anyway. I dont care too much for super fancy. I got this at such a good price. I couldnt pass it up. I bought it as a set and together they make the best washer/dryer investment Ive ever made. I would totally recommend the washer and dryer.

Replaced a few parts here and there, but never an ounce of problems really. ONLY got rid of them because when I first bought them, we were a family of 3, and by end of 2008, we were a family of 9. Bought a Kenmore 800 washer in 2008. Had to call for repair within a year. Never ever had more problems again. Until tonight. Sounds like its whining or whiny. I did find a YouTube vid. Help!

It is very durable and has endured a lot of usage by my family and me. It could be a bit more energy friendly and energy-efficient by saving me money on my power bill and saving energy being eco-saver/friendly. The filter system could be a bit stronger as well.

We purchased this in April 2016. We used it about 5 times before troubles began. The machine would stop mid cycle, would not drain. Unless I stood there and watched it, there was no telling when it had stopped. A Sears repairman came out to fix it. He did a reset on it, suggested I unplug it after every wash in case a power outage happened, and told me he would definitely be back for future repairs. Now it is January 2017. We use the machine for maybe three washes a week, since its a second home. The washer stops mid cycle. Doesnt drain. The sensor clicks on and off. Its super fun. I start it, optimistically, on a normal cycle. I hear it stop working, find it full of water. I do a drain/spin. Seems logical - its full of water! It doesnt usually work. I unplug/restart again, do a rinse/spin. Works! But my clothes havent been washed. Unplug/restart express wash a few times. Tonight I actually handwashes my kids clothes. Thank god the dryer works every time. I dont think we will even waste the $75 on the repairman. Never again, Kenmore. Hard to believe this machine hasnt been recalled.

Kenmore products are also easy to find so when I want to upgrade my washer or dryer it easy to find replacement for they are sold at most retailers. Control boards have been replaced twice since we bought it. Having to repair a brand new dryer is not something that we expected. Will not purchase from Kenmore again. The control boards are NOT cheap. The feature list for the washer and dryer are long. Many different cycles for both the washer and dryer and the washer has custom cycles. The dryer is not as efficient as it should be and sometimes takes multiple cycles to dry items such as jeans and blankets. This does not however make up for the multiple repairs on the dryer within the first 2 years of ownership.

I loved the quality of the refrigerator and the fact that Kenmore has a great brand name and recognition. Have used their washers and dryers for years with no issues. I loved the fridges top double doors and the bottom pullout freezer. There was plenty of space in both the upper and lower portions of it and pullout shelves were fantastic and spill proof. Lots of room but lighting in the interior could have been a little better but it was just fine. The freezer was great also.

I bought a top of the line front loading Kenmore washer with Steam. I had it exactly a year and two days when I had to call a repairman because it was leaking water all over my basement. He said it was because the door was not closing completely and sealing; so, the water is leaking out. I told him that it was not coming from the front of the washer. He did not agree. The clothes that remain in the machine overnight come out smelling like mold wicked bad! The water is now pouring out of the washer and causing mold to grow all over my basement! I called for repair and they want to charge me $89 to come to my home and more for parts and labor! This machine is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned and that is saying something! I stupidly trust that the companies that my parents believed in are the same today as they were when I was a kid. Many clothes can fit into these machines, and all of the clothes get cleaned and stay nice. The machines are reliable and easy to use, and keep the high quality of the clothes intact. The washer and dryer both look sleek, modern, and dont take up too much room. They fit well in our basement, are quiet, and are reliable and useful. We got the washer and dryers for a great deal. For their price, they work unbelievably well and show very minimal signs of wear and tear, but the functionality of them are still perfect and great.

It gets the clothes dry in one cycle and it has many settings to fit my various clothes drying needs. Overall it is better than the other dryer I had. It is very reliable. I can set it to dry and then I wont have to keep restarting it. The clothes get dry when I open it up and the timer goes off. It is very sleek and looks like a regular dryer. It is nothing fancy but looks nice and tidy and clean and is not an eyesore. Nothing more to say about that. I would say it was an average price. Not that much more expensive or cheaper than any other dryer that I have seen out there. It was not a major financial setback to buy it.

My sister has the same, exact dryer and also loves it as much as I do. The reason that I purchased this dryer is because of the durability described in the manual and it definitely has not let me down. This dryer is very reliable. My clothes are always wrinkle and static free, and I do not have to iron everyday. It is very energy-efficient and economical. The appearance of my dryer is incredible, the dryer fits perfectly in the only space that I had available for it. It is very easy to clean and keep clean. The amount of money that was charged and that I paid for this dryer was very much worth the amount of money. I had to borrow money from my father to purchase this dryer and I am so glad that I did, because it was worth it.

After reading some of these reviews about Kenmore...always reliable, run forever etc. Thats what I thought. Had Kenmore in past & was happy. Well...times have changed!! Im not a top of the line person...paying for bells & whistles Im not even going to use. This model 25132 is mid-line but doesnt have the big agitator, but 4.3 capacity for BIG loads.1st mth I hated it...noisy, walking all over when it spun. Called them out. Serviceman said nothing wrong with it...was I using proper detergent. HE!! What!!! Detergent makes it vibrate. I think not. Married 50 yrs. Have never had a new washer do this. BTW was using proper detergent. 3 yr mark agitator plate went out...stripped. Replaced that. Im sure all the shaking & vibrating had something to do with that. Now 3 mths later, vibrating sooo BAD hits the walls, turns sideways etc. Called out service again. Drum is bent again, Im sure from all the banging around. Costly repair. So am just going to take repair money & buy new washer. But reading reviews, seems like every brand has some of the same issues. Repairman said Whirlpool has bought Maytag & other brands therefore everything has gone downhill. Really disappointing!!!

I grew up in a Kenmore household. The parents swore by the brand. In the few times we needed to replace an appliance, Sears was there with a new Kenmore unit. My parents house is still occupied by a number of older Kenmore appliances, some have to be pushing 25 years. So when the builder grade appliances started dying in my house after 13+ years, I naturally choose Kenmore as a replacement and dropped over $1,600 for a new washer and dryer. Sears showed up on time, installed the washer and dryer, neat and clean and were gone. All they left was the boxes the washer and dryer came in and the neighborhood kids loved playing in them just as I did when I was young. That was four (4) years ago. Sears no longer stands behind you (or for that matter beside you) after your one year warranty expires.We developed gunk in our washing machine despite the monthly cleanouts (BTW anyone ever remember having to clean a washing machine except if a crayon went through it?). It just showed up in a load one day and will not go away. I started looking to find the cause and came across rust around the bleach dispenser. Apparently the quality today is not as it once was. My parents have an older Kenmore that presents no rust at all. I do not know how old it is, but I can tell you it came in avocado green (late 70s maybe?). I hope the pictures I attached show the gunk (picture taken after 5 cleaning cycles), rust in the area of the dispenser (with dispenser removed), some debris that ended up in the lint filter of the dryer, and black specks that seem to have become stuck on the dryer.If you look closely at the specks you can see bare metal, this is what happened to the finish as I tried to remove the black specs with my fingernail - THE FINISH CAME OFF! Mind you, these units are only 4 years old even though they have enormous capacity, they only service two adults and one child. So I called Sears Home Services to see what would be involved with replacing the washer top panel. I gave them the model and serial number per their request and was informed that the only way Sears Home Services could determine how much it would be to replace the part would be for me to spend $79 for them to come out and take a look. I informed them that outside the rusted part, the unit seemed to be operating fine, dirty, but fine. Again I was informed of the $79 fee and Sears started to make an appointment. I hesitated and asked if the part I needed replaced was available, I was told that they had no way of determining if the part was available unless the service tech came out for a fee of $79 - only the techs can order parts.So I asked, just to confirm, The only way I can find out even if the part is available is to pay the $79 and have someone come out and look at it. I was told, Yes and that if I proceeded with the repair the estimate fee would be returned to me (Ill get to more on that in a little bit). I then asked if the part was not available, and I could not proceed with the repair, would I still be responsible for the $79. Again, I was told, Yes and that if I proceeded with the repair the $79 would be refunded. When I asked how they would proceed with the repair if the parts were not available I was told that would be up to the tech to determine. THAT MY FRIENDS IS SOME FINE QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT THERE! Unbelievable. So I said, No thanks, and hung up the phone.I proceeded to search the net for the part and I found it at Sears Parts Direct and it showed available and that it took an average of 1hr and 45min to install. After hitting the chat button and providing my model and serial number again, I soon found that I could have the part delivered to my house in a couple days for a little over $100 and it was guaranteed to fit. I was stunned. Not 10 minutes prior to this I was told by Sears Home Services that there was no way to know if the part was available and only techs could order it. Hmmmm...Armed with new knowledge, I called back Sears Home Services and asked what the rate ($/hr) or cost would be make the repair based on the information provided by Sears Parts Direct. They again stated that the only way they could determine how much it would cost would be to pay the $79 and have someone provide an estimate and that the $79 would be deducted if I proceeded with the repairs. I again informed them that I knew the part was available, I knew how much it cost, I knew how long it took to put in (according to Sears Parts Direct). Again, Sears Home Services informed me The only way we can tell you how much it costs is to pay the $79 and have someone come out, keep in mind that the $79 fee is removed if you proceed with the repair.Then it dawned on me, how would I ever know if it was removed or not? By paying the $79 and authorizing Sear Home Services to come out. I just signed up for some unknown cost, but I knew I would be out at least $79. I know the part cost and how long it takes to put in. But is that labor rate $50/hr? $100/hr? $350/hr? At some point the $79 is irrelevant and the process is preposterous.Let me apply the same process to something a little more familiar. You want to get something to eat. You go into a restaurant that advertises cheeseburgers (among other things), you ask how much a cheeseburger is and are told that the only way to find out how much a cheeseburger costs is to pay $20 and then a waiter will come over and tell you how much the cheeseburger is. If you buy the cheeseburger they will deduct the $20 waiter fee from the final bill. If you are there to offer them a chance to redeem themselves for a subpar meal you had there some time ago and you only went there because a few of your friends still say it is the great restaurant from many years past, that begs the question, would you drop the $20 to see how much a cheeseburger is?In checking with Sears Parts Direct, apparently Sears does not sell a service manual so that people can service their own appliances. It really is not that hard to do if you know how, the question is the know how. I guess by not providing this information Sears Home Services can keep the $79 racket going. Sears Parts Direct did suggest I try the Ask an Expert section of their website. I did and was unable to post a question/request there. I kept getting messages to try again later or that my search criteria was not found. So far I would say this is not Sears Parts Directs problem but rather an issue from some other Sears subsidiary that handles IT and is suppose to keep these sites going.I did email in my request for either a how to or a service manual. They again asked for the model and serial number, I responded and am awaiting a response. I will see what they come up with. I hope they can do better. I will update with their response. From my go around, so far Sears / Kenmore is not even close to what they used to be. A life expectancy of only 4 years for a $1,600 washer and dryer. Really? Sears has passed on providing quality service and quality products in the name of... oh jeez. I am not sure what they are getting in return besides a bad reputation. I was going to say higher profits, but reading the news - that is not the case. Corporate survival? That is questionable, again reading the news. If Sears is going to sell junk and not stand behind their own brand, there is simply no reason to continue to do business there.Relationships are salvageable, but it takes efforts on both sides. I am willing to my part, hey Sears - you game? I can only hope that Sears spins off Craftsman and Kenmore early enough that those two entities can stage a turn around and not suffer the image blow that Diehard has recently suffered. Buyer beware. It was a simple washing machine. It did not have all the digital stuff on it, which is the way I like them. I dont like all of those digital stuff on it. That makes it complicated. Not a very good value if you pay all that money and it only works a year. I would expect a digital one to break easier but this was one of the simple ones with just knobs on it. It should not have stopped when it did.

The dryer is where you can open it and it stops but you can start it back. The dryer is really old. I have not had any trouble with it. I do not wash as much as some families with kids. I would not have any other brand. I have had Kenmore with all my appliances. I trust all my appliances with Sears Kenmore. They last. The washer is a really big tub and it holds fabric softener. It has a place for Clorox to pour in it. The dryer is nice too. It has a loud buzzer to go off when it is done. You have settings for delicate clothes on dryer and washer.I would recommend these Kenmore products to anyone. I have been using them for 52 yrs. I have only had this is the second washer I have had and this is the second dryer, I am looking for the dryer to go out. I will buy another dryer Kenmore. These appliances are good and they do not cost that much. My washer was 349.00. The appliances are quiet, they are really a good looking product, you can get them in different colors. I think that the white is coming back. Mine is white. You can hardly hear the washer and dryer going at the same time how quiet they are. I am 5 ft.3 ins. and I have to bend real far to get to the bottom of the washer. You can set your clothes on what water temp you want. You can set it on how long you want it to wash, the same with the dryer.

My washer is deeper and more clothes are able to fit in my washer. My dryer is also deeper inside and do double the load. I think the value of its worth every penny of my money for my washer and dryer. I would tell everyone to purchase the product because it would be well worth it.

They came in a house I bought which was 3 years old, so I assume the machines were the same age. I kept the house for 6 more years before selling and the appliances went with the house. In the time I had them, the only problems I had were the centrifugal fabric dispenser needed periodic cleaning as it would develop a heavy coating on it and I did have to replace one heating element in the dryer. Being Kenmore, that was owner serviceable.

The washer was great as far as large loads of clothes. It did at least 3 pair of pants, 3 shirts and a few weeks worth of underwear in one load. I had a mobile home and the washer and dryer fit like a glove in the area that was made in the hall and it made the space look a lot brighter and more modern. The washing machine and dryer saved me a lot of money a month. It cost about 35 dollars a month to run both of them and saved me twenty bucks a month on gasoline for the car and it usually cost 60-70$ a month going to a laundry mat.

It was a dependable machine that never needed servicing. The machine is capable of holding a large load very easily. It will also easily handle small loads. It can handle delicates as well as heavy duty loads. Cant go wrong with this machine. Modern sleek lines. Looks nice in any home. I would highly recommend this machine for all your laundry needs. It doesnt get any better than this. All machines are costly. You get what you pay for. You can get cheaper machines but you would be sacrificing quality for saving a few dollars.

I think we might have had work done on the washing machine once, and never had to have work done on the clothes dryer. We had two children, both girls, and they would change clothes two to three times a day. I also washed and dried all my work clothes. I worked at a machine shop, so my clothes got really dirty. I was very happy that the washer and dryer lasted as long as they did. They were both worth the money we paid for them!

I can choose from very hot for items such as towels, or permanent press or no wrinkle dry for shirts, etc. The appearance of my dryer is solid white with front loading compartment. It stands the normal size as all dryers basically. Its color reflects a average color of a dryer. My value of the dryer was an satisfactory amount. I cant recall exactly since its been a few years, but I believe it was like 300.00 or around that figure.

This is my first experience with the front loading washing machine and dryer, but its definitely not looking good for them. I just brought my girlfriends washer and dryer home from her kids place and the washing machine needed to be looked at. After going through everything it ended up being the piece on the back of the drum (The spider gear) That attaches it to the bearing had completely rotted off. The piece is made of a cast iron material attached to the chrome drum. I just wish I could post some pics here of the condition of this piece, it was brought home to replace the old stuff I have. Anyway that is my warning/rant. I would not recommend the Kenmore AST 2 to anyone.

Kenmore 4.3 cu. ft. Top Load Washer w/ Exclusive Triple Action Impeller - White... I bought this because of the ratings from others. This was my first experience with an HE washer and I was hesitant but since I could not find a reliable/well rated old fashioned washer like I wanted, I took the plunge and I was EXTREMELY glad I did! Kenmore 65132 7.0 cu. ft. Electric Dryer w/ SmartDry Plus Technology White. I bought this because it was the match to the washer. The clothes really come out so much cleaner and although this is not a super capacity washer compared to other models I was able to wash a king size comforter (yippee) however I cannot say the same for the dryer. It did fit in but there was not much room for tumbling so I had to stop and reposition it myself several times to ensure complete drying. Note to self-> in the future dont buy the matched pair especially since there was no cost savings in doing so. Other than that it dries fine. I dont need a lot of bells and whistles so I looked for a basic washer. Good ratings are paramount if I dont have a relatives or friends recommendation; and of course I always want to find it on sale with free delivery. Having repair issues are always a red flag but especially since our set-up is on the second floor I avoided any models w/ reviews that had a mention of leak issues. This is a basic full size washer with a lot of different settings to choose from if needed (Normal; Delicates; Bulky/Bedding; Whites; Heavy Duty; Casual; DeepWash; Express; Soak). The dryer has the usual basic cycles. It has a end of cycle buzzer that can be switched to off if so desired. There is an inside light. The door opens down (instead of to the side) which is nice to catch what is being taken out. The washer/dryer pair ran about $947.00 after discounts.

I purchased my Kenmore Heavy-Duty washer and dryer set the next week available after I got married in Feb 1976 (seventy-six). That makes it about mid-March 1976. Here now in Jan 2020 I can truthfully say that I never had one speck of trouble from the set until now when the washer stopped draining. Having a Sears repairman respond to fix the problem revealed that it cannot be repaired. I must now try to find another Kenmore Washer. Admittedly, I did not use it on any routine regularity and once not used at all when in an apartment without a hookup for a couple years. But, I suspect I won't need it to last as many as 44 more years since I'm now 73 years old. It worked just great for me!

My Kenmore washer cleans clothes well. Its a powerful machine. I got the washer and dryer at the same time, but the dryer died after a year. Washer is still going strong. The washer has a large capacity. Even with a central agitator, my comforter still fits fine. My washer is still working perfectly after a year. The dryer didnt last this long. Both the Kenmore washer and dryer look as they are supposed to. They are white, rectangular, and narrow enough to fit in my tiny laundry room. I am satisfied by the value of my Kenmore washer because it still works as well as the day I got it.

I purchased the pair of Kenmore Elite Oasis Canyon size washer and dryer in August of 2007. I have spent so much money on repairs, and I simply want to put it on the sidewalk with a warning sign for anyone who will take it. It began less than a year after I purchased it. First, it was the F1 code. It turns out that the control board was faulty. They paid for a portion of it, but I got stuck with the rest and the labor. Then, the dryer began acting up. It only dries the clothes on Timed Dry, and it usually takes 70 minutes to dry a load. Do you know how much power that uses? The washer has since been repaired two more times. The tub had to be replaced within the first 3 years. Now, I am getting the DL code, which means the door will not latch. There is nothing blocking this from happening. I just wish Sears would honor their products and care about their customers. I also wish Kenmore would stand behind their products. When I told the repairman that washers are supposed to last longer than a decade and he said, Not anymore.” They make them like this so they can break down, and the company can make more money. I am so sad and angry. I read the message boards from so many frustrated people like myself. We are living from paycheck to paycheck. These repairs are too costly, and so is going to the laundromat. Can someone please help us?

I decided to buy a top-of-the-line Kenmore washer and dryer. Worked great for 4 months then started breaking. Constant breakdowns on the washer - not so much on the dryer. Purchased at Sears along with extended warranty. As I write this I have been waiting 4 weeks for repairs. Parts are never in stock and it takes 2 weeks for Sears tech to visit. As the repairman said last week I should follow the delivery truck each time a new one is delivered. That says it all.

Also, I never had a problem with the dryer and I find it to be very reliable because it performed as advertised and expected. The clothes were always dry in the manner I was hoping and expected. Its appearance is very understated. Nothing fancy. It blends in well and gives you the impressions that it is a strong and quality dryer. I think you get the most bang for your buck with this dryer. You dont want to pay too much or too little. You just want your moneys worth.

But it does leave soap residues sometimes, which kind of sucks. Its very simple and easy to use. All basic functions. Its basically load and select and start. Not very technical compared to others. Not a lot of buttons or knobs. Its worth it. Just like everything else, if you take care of it, it will last and be worth what its valued. It could be lowered since all these new and improved washers and dryers are coming out.

I could put a load of jeans in for anywhere between 35-40 minutes and the jeans would be completely dry. I absolutely loved this dryers performance. This dryer worked wonderfully especially when drying sweaters and jeans, usually I would put a load of 10 pair of jeans and two sweaters and set it on 35-40 minutes and bam! the whole load was dry. I loved how fast this dryer dried clothes. A white dryer top load, with two knobs, one for time setting and one knob for dryer load setting. There is a timer that goes off making a buzzer sound when the dryer is finished. The lint catcher is easily accessed from the top of the dryer. The value of this dryer is well worth the price I paid. I bought this dyer at a used electronics store for 150.00$, whereas in stores brand new they are priced around 300$ to 400$. If I had to buy the dryer brand new I most likely would.

My parents have used Kenmore appliances and us 5 girls use Kenmore appliances as they hold up good and a good value. Never need to call a repairman out to fix any of the items we bought. I have moved 3 times in the past 10 years and the tub of the washer does not go out of balance when moving. The dryer seems to dry my items just like you would expect them to come out of the dryer when you use them. I have been very happy with my decision to use Kenmore.

I hate my Sears Kenmore Elite Washer and Dryer.The washer constantly goes off balance - even with small loads of two pairs of jeans and a polo shirt. I spread the clothes out at the beginning of a wash. On average, I have to stop the washer 2-3 times per load as it throws an error code because it is off balance. It finally broke down and decided to call Sears to schedule an appointment to have it looked at and repair it. The dryer also will not stop even if the clothes are brittle dry as it can only be set at 40 minutes. The representative asked if I also wanted that looked at. Obviously, I said, Yes. The appointment I maid was to be this Monday at 1pm - 5pm. I checked my email and one is at 8am - 12pm and the other is 1pm - 5pm. I am not sitting around all day waiting on Sears! I called to have both fixed between 1pm - 5pm. The representative said they cannot move the one to the afternoon. I asked for a supervisor but never got one even after calling back and waiting for more than 10 minutes listening to music.Boy wish I was strong enough to haul these back to Sears and leave them at their store. I only selected 1 star because there was no lesser option.

I was not impressed with this washer. I went from using a regular washer to this and the clothes didnt come clean even on a small load. The washer barely filled with water and some of the clothes came out of the wash still having dry spots on them from where they didnt even get wet. This washer was not reliable because the clothes didnt get clean and some didnt even get wet. Not to mention that it takes over an hour to wash one load of laundry. The washer looked nice but it just didnt wash good. I sent it back after 3 days of use. The metal that the washer was made from also seemed kind of flimsy. I paid over a thousand dollars for the washer and dryer set and was very disappointed. It used very little water and didnt even cover the clothes leaving dry spots on some of the clothes from not agitating very well.

Both units have provided nothing besides headaches, damage to our clothing and frustration. I will never do business with Sears again (rumor has it you are going out of business anyway).First of all, my motor went out on my washer that has a 10-year warranty. Sears would not stand behind their parts warranty since I did not have the A&E guy come out and service it and pay him $75! It cost me for labor $114.50 and $147.00 respectively just for labor to fix the defective motor of your product. For the parts, it cost me $69.55 & $55.90 respectively. This was for the Stator Assembly and for the new wash machine motor. I have receipts for all of the OEM parts and service work that was completed by Tolson Appliance Center Inc. 540-347-3030. Jim did the work. Nice guy.The motor on the washer burnt out. The washer also leaks water when you wash towels and has a defective design flaw in how it vents the water in the back. My pan fills up and drains water on a regular basis. The unit is at fault and Im out of pocket now (not to mention the time and frustration) to fix just the washer - $386.95. The cost of the washer was $1127.99! This does not include setup, delivery etc., charges...We also purchased on the same date as the washer the Kenmore Elite dryer (dryer cost = $1057.49) model # 796.8102 (Electric). Its under four years old and nothing but problems, frustration and damage. In 2011, we had Sears come out and allegedly fix the removable lint dryer for $129.00 on Friday, October 14, 2011. Then we called and complained about the design flaw with the lint dryer filter (the removable slat that has the screen where each time you remove it to clean off the lint) a.k.a. lint trap. The customer service people said it was warped and sent us a new one. The same exact issue happened again in under 3 months. My Nike sweat pants are damaged ($60 bucks). All of my wifes camis are damaged; our 900+ thread count sheets from Italy are damaged. The dryer lint is a serious design flaw that is causing serious damage to our clothing and we are very upset. I have pictures and receipts of everything, all of the parts and labor service work and all of the damage to our clothing.Now, last week, the dryer stopped working. We had an A&E guy come out who said the motor in the dryer is fried and that to fix everything its going to cost us (with the new control board) over $500! This is crazy; not even four years old and both units are ready to be hauled to the curb and are causing damage to our home (leaking washer) and to our clothing, dryer - lint trap design flaw. Now I dont have a dryer that works and spent almost $400 to fix the washer and now you, Sears (A&E), want me to fork over $500 to fix the washer that is not even 4 years old! I dont think so; this has to stop! Im done doing business with SEARS and will not spend one more penny with SEARS Holding.Stand behind your products. Replace my dryer with one that does not have the design flaw with the lint trap, refund my cost to fix the washer (parts & labor) and replace my washer with a washer that does not leak. Does Sears sell appliances to fall apart in a few years and ** customers with repair, parts and service work? This is completely unethical. Why would someone design a dryer with the steam option that vents directly into the electrical controller board to make the board electronics damp and crap out? Why would a white box appliance that should have a minimum design life of at least 10 years be crapping out in under four? Why would Sears sell a washer that constantly leaks water and pose potential damage to home owners, their home and dryers and damage clothing?If you want to follow up with me on this, you call me. I have no problem so far, did not have to spend to fix it yet, which I believe accomplish the product promise. Its not about if is cute or not, but I prefer smaller design. And if I can get it in black color would match better the house decoration. It was not expensive and had save me a lot of money in the last year, thats why I am considering get the watching machine as well, hopefully works as well as the dryer.

They made mud pies. Needless to say they became very dirty. My washer and dryer ran all the time. Very reliable machine. I ran mine everyday. My kids and husband changed their clothes two to three times a day. My ex did concrete, work my kids were just messy. I would never buy any other brand. I just cannot say enough how reliable this is both washer and dryers are. Mine are white with blue around the knobs. They are an awesome pair of machinery. They run day after day with no issues at all. I would never consider any other brand. They are affordable and in this day of bloated prices on crappy machine. Price wise they are perfect. They are awesome. We need a decent price on things we use daily along with they run so well they give you years of use.

It easily holds my large loads of wash and everything come out clean, never have to worry about stains! My dryer has many settings for a variety of items. I am always positive that my laundry will be dry, fluffy and wrinkle free. Our king size comes out just as fluffy and beautiful as a load of sheets. For the price I paid it is an amazing value. I run this thing like a racehorse almost every day of the week and it never lets me down. I know I can depend on my Kenmore washer.

Kenmore is the only washer & dryer that I now buy. I tried others but nothing beats a Kenmore for quality & dependability. I have a white top loading washer - easy to load & easy to unload. The tub on the washer is for large loads and it is deep - kind of a stretch for short people (you might have to stand on your tiptoes) but well worth the quality. Its very dependable and gets my clothes clean & wrinkle free. With the white side loading Kenmore gas dryer, I never have to re-dry clothes because they are damp after the drying cycle runs - unless you try to dry 10 towels at once. When I did have a small problem with the dryers heating element, the service tech showed up the next day and there was no charge. My previous Kenmore washer lasted well over 10 years - we ended up giving it away so we could have a larger capacity tub and I had to have the matching dryer.

Nice, sleek, and choice of colors. The dials are also a nice touch. Easy to operate. Also easy to keep clean. And lots of choices. I also enjoy how quiet they are. If I can afford them, so can you. King size bed comforter and the sheets not a problem to do them all together. Towels that is another large wash regular washer five to eight towels tops. This one I have not really pushed it but easy fourteen in one load. I have the dryer as well and it dryers them in roughly thirty-two minutes. It is bigger than your normal machines, but it doesnt seem that much bigger. Hard to picture I know. They are actually a sleek looking machine. Weird to think of a washer that way, but it the best way to describe it. It is a bit pricier, but you will see where you save money. It is an HE machine uses less electric, less water, and if you get HE detergent you use less of it. The other thing nice about HE detergent is you can run your waste water to save a tree and it will water the tree with no harm to the environment.

Its reliable and can fit all needed items but could be somewhat small I guess for someone with a larger family. Im only one person so I dont have much of an issue but I think any dryer is kind of compact if youre doing laundry for more than 1 person. Kind of old looking but appearance isnt my top priority in a dryer. If you want something high-tech looking this might not be your option. Fairly simple. Not a big issue though. Is a good value. Dryers are dryers. It gets the clothes dry and it does it simply. Appearance is decent. Value is good too. There are some which are a better value, there are some that are worse.

Not only that, I cannot believe how quickly it gets everything done. Its always reliable, even when the tags say to hand wash or even dry clean it has never ruined my clothes. I even love my dryer be cause it has never shrunk my clothing before. I think it looks so nice that I keep it as clean as the day that I purchased it from the stores. This was more than a great buy.
