Ive owned a Kenmore refrigerator in my new apartment that I recently moved into. The fridge is nice, nothing has gone wrong with it yet. The freezer keeps all of the items nice and cold and I havent had any sign of freezer burn on anything. The fridge is nice, keeps everything fresh and has no smells like my old fridge. Its white in color, which looks great and also has a water and ice spout on the front, which is great for grabbing an easy glass of ice water. Very nice, and works great!
A great fridge, that is easy to clean. Never had the freezer become iced over. Only thing I would have done different is to get the fridge with the built in water and ice dispenser. But if you dont need that, then this is the fridge you want. It does everything for our family of four, but sometimes wish the freezer was a little larger to fit larger amounts of beef. But this is why we have a stand alone freezer. We like to buy half sides of beef. I love the stainless steel look of the fridge and how easy it is to clean. I will never buy another fridge that isnt stainless steel. This is the best. Beautiful. Best bang for the buck. Bigly! Best looking fridge with the best features at the best price. Number one fridge on the market in my view.
It lasted for fifteen years and I loved it. Once I have more money I do plan on buying me another Kenmore refrigerator. Good brand that is reliable and good quality products. Definitely a keeper. Never a disappointment.
My husband and myself are retired. Have no children in our home. We purchase a stainless steel refrigerator in 2014. We have had to replace the handle on the refrigerator 3 times - it breaks in the same spot and the top. The repair man has come out and replaced it each time. But today it broke again. This is 4 times now 2/9/15. How many more times will this happen? There must be a defect in the handle or the door. Need answers to this problem. The model is Kenmore model 1066215311. Serial number U541436167.
This Kenmore refrigerator was on sale and I needed it. I bought it because it was cheap and it was the one I could afford. But it was overpriced even on sale. I dislike the general aesthetic though. Its plain ugly, its like a box. The magnets fall off easy. Moreover, the light burnt out as soon as I got it home. On the other hand, ice maker and door handle works really well. Freezer keeps the ice cold and refrigerator keeps beer cold and food fresh and cold. ;) But sometimes it freezes everything on the top shelf.
Very good fridge. Lasted like ten years. I was very impressed. I never had any major problems with it. As a matter of fact I ended up buying a new one because I moved not because the other one quit or broke. I gave it to a buddy of mine and actually Im pretty sure hes still using it to this very day. So thumbs up - great product, great company, great fridge. I felt that the refrigerator had sufficient room. Im a single individual so didnt need a whole of room to begin with but for any type of party or gathering always seemed to have room. My fridge was pretty standard looking for the outside but the inside had a very sleek design. When others would open it you always get an o wow.
One morning when we woke up, we smelled something burning. Our 9 year old Kenmore Elite fridge was smoking and smelled like burned plastic/wire. After I pulled out the fridge, I could see an electrical arc which caused the smoke when it was going through its refrigeration cycle. One of the components actually had a hole burned through the side of its plastic case. Every couple of minutes, you could see an electrical arc. I unplugged the the unit and contacted Sears. They didnt seem concerned, so I just ordered a new part. To me, this could have been much worse if we werent home.
Kenmore is a good reputable brand that is made to last a long time and they still make a good reliable one today. I had bought all my appliances from Sears which is a major Kenmore seller. The prices were good and had good ratings. Colors were right for my kitchen. It was a reliable refrigerator with regular freezer on top made of good materials. No problems with it. Only changed it when I wanted to update my kitchen and change to a different color. The freezer on the top was a plus for this refrigerator.
My landlord chose to buy the Kenmore refrigerator. It was better than expected and I would more than likely purchase another one in the future. I might just change it to a style with the freezer on the bottom or just purchase a separate stand-alone freezer. The size was perfect for our family. The spill-proof glass and gallon doors were a plus. We also liked the ability to control various parts of the refrigerator. This allowed our food to stay fresher longer. Moving the shelves around was also helpful. However, the freezer was not as wide as I would have liked. Especially with larger items like a turkey that just wont fit in the freezer. I dont think there is anything you can to do fix that without taking room from the refrigerator side of the unit. Given the option, Ill take the more refrigerator space.
Refrigerator is white and very durable. Inside has the room to hold all the things we buy. Storage and freezer are the right size and has plenty of room. We buy according to the size and it works out well. For the place it was setting it was the right size and freezer and refrigerator worked very well without any problems. The value of the refrigerator was very reasonable and over time the value was very stable and is worth what we paid for. Refrigerator for how old it was very good and worked and done what it needed to do with no problems. Had it for couple years and nothing had to be done to it. I believe this model is a very good price and worth the money paid.
My Kenmore refrigerator was extremely dependable. I had it for over ten years and only had to replace the thermostat once and I did that myself in a short amount of time. It operated smoothly with no other problems. Easy to clean with mild soap. Adjustable shelves made it easy to adjust for taller items. Crispers kept fresh foods from getting too cold. Overall this was probably the best refrigerator I ever owned.
Never had a problem. Freezer is real cold as is the frig. Never had a service issue. Very quiet and dependable. Reasonable price for the unit. Used as a second frig, little small for the main one. Ideal for a small family with a small kitchen area. Perfect for laundry room or garage. Plain white model, nothing fancy. Easy to clean, still looks pretty new. Some yellowing around the handle. One reason we brought this. Price and it is a Kenmore product. Backed by Sears service though have never used it. None of the shelves or door shelves have broke.
We were happy with the Kenmore. We just recently purchased a GE refrigerator because of the storage space it gave us the option of having. When we had issues with the refrigerator the customer service with Kenmore was very accommodating and helpful.
This is a very dependable refrigerator with reasonable rate. Runs very efficient and is simple and very reasonable to use. Very useful, very styled for convenience and fits in very obligingly with other appliances.
Ive been a faithful and happy Kenmore appliance buyer for decades. Based on that experience, I recently bought a Kenmore Elite $1200 refrigerator. It developed freezer issues a month after the warranty expired and when I googled the issue I found that this was a common and known problem for this whole line of refrigerators. I contacted two local appliance-repair people and they both told me too bad, Kenmore used to be the reliable source of appliances, up until two or three years ago when they stopped manufacturing them in the US and started buying from the lowest bidder and just rebranding the resulting junk. Im disappointed in yet one more company having sold out and let down the faithful customers who kept them in business all these years. I will never again buy a Kenmore appliance, unless its an older used one in good condition.
Lasted less than a year! Called last September, ice maker stopped working, freezer had ice and frost all over food, and appointment scheduled in October, parts ordered, never heard back. I called back, was told parts on back order, would be delivered within 21 working days. Called back in November, was told parts from Korea weren’t coming in, my case was “escalated” and I someone would call me in 2-3 days. I called back a week later and was told the same thing, 2-3 days. In December I called and was told I had been approved for replacement but no amount was entered in my file, I would be contacted in 2-3 days with amount, then I could select a replacement on ** and schedule the exchange. January and February I called back, was told the same thing, and still nobody ever called me back. The last time I was told to call the nearest Sears Hometown store to see if I could go there and pick out a replacement. This store is in Georgia, I live in Florida, about 20 miles away. That manager called Sears for me who said I needed to go to the Orlando store, over 3 hours from me, because Hometown stores were not authorized to handle replacements! Every time I have called since then, Sears transfers me to customer solutions dept who says there is still no amount, but that I was approved on Dec 1, 2020 for replacement. I was told PABA Dept needs to give me an amount. The amount I paid was $1499 plus tax and delivery. When they transfer me to that department, they hang up on me. Meanwhile my refrigerator is getting worse, food is spoiling in refrigerator, melting in freezer, Sears doesn’t care!!!
It had the best price compared to all of the other fridges and I liked how it looks and the brand itself. It’s a really cute and sexy fridge to own and it works pretty well for my own needs. I also like how spacious it is. It has lots of room for all of your fruits and vegetables and other various foods. This fridge is good and very cold too. However, I wish it was quieter because sometimes it wakes me up at night and can be a bit annoying. It needs to include some sound baffling as well.
I purchased my Kenmore Elite 13 months ago. Just like most people on this site the compressor & some other crap is no good. I have been without a refrigerator for about 40 days. Every time I call the service repair I am transferred at least 3 times, nobody can give a straight answer. I just want to know when is it going to be fixed!!!! Yesterday the Sears guy came out to fix it. Now the ice maker doesnt work. I will NEVER purchase another Sears appliance. I dont even know if I should call them or just get it fixed myself. Sears your customer service is horrible!!!
In the winter of 2014 I bought the Kenmore 795.5131 model side-by-side refrigerator during a sale from Sears. In the spring of 2015 the ice machine stopped working. I did not buy more than a 1 year protection plan and am quite annoyed that I had to pay over $200 to have it replaced. The repairman who I have had used for over a decade told me that this brand of Kenmore uses LG parts who are mostly made of plastic. My intent is to let others and Sears manufacturers know that by buying one they may be in the same boat.
Shelves that move to any place is truly important to me and each and every one of these move to exactly where I feel they need to be. And that includes the shelves on the door. So you do not need to jiggle and juggle things when trying to get that carton of milk or salad dressing out to use. The bottom freezer has a pullout shelf which is especially good for ice cream, and other important foods. Larger food items - lots of them - fit well into the bottom portion. Since getting this refrigerator several years ago I have not had to play with the temperature once it was set. So nice to not have to think about that.
Easy to use. Separate temperature zones for easy use. Self defrosting for freezer. Extra drawers for freezer section. Also has high-quality enamel paint finish that is chip resistant. However, if the door is left open for a short amount of time it will alarm. It should lengthy the time before the alarm goes off. Also needs larger drawers for storage space. But Sears makes high-quality appliances that last for a long time. High-end products at reasonable prices too. Other brands are much more expensive and offer less space than this model.
Greatest fridge Ive ever owned. Kenmore is always high quality, and this is no exception. While this is the first BRAND NEW fridge Ive ever owned, this for sure will not be my last Kenmore. More than enough size for a family of three. The freezer is great for storing meat when its bought on sale, and the fridge is plenty big enough for even the pickiest person. It was a little more expensive than I expected to spend, but in the big picture, well worth it. Sure, you could spend less, but in the long run, youll pay more in loss of quality, and needing to replace it sooner.
We bought a Kenmore refrigerator from Sears in April of 2015 and in the last few weeks it started having a problem with cooling. We called a Kenmore appliance repair 800 number and a repair person came out within 3 days. They checked it, cleaned the coils and charged us $294. The refrigerator did not improve and in fact stopped cooling at all. We called the Kenmore repair number again and this time it took them at least 10 days to come back and when they finally returned we were told that the compressor was out and that it would cost $941 to repair. That is absolutely unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator to be 4 years old and stop working when the average life expectancy should be between 14 to 17 years. This speaks volumes about the poor quality of this product. I think that Kenmore should be embarrassed to have a product that doesnt even come close to living up to the standard that it claims. As a consumer, I have no respect for a company that only thinks of themselves with no concern for the hard earned dollars that are required to purchase their product. Consumers! Save yourself the hassle and money and purchase a different brand.
We bought a new Kenmore refrigerator that was expensive only a few years ago. The freon was leaking and we had to replace the refrigerator after a few short years. I called customer service three times and they said they could not find record of my name or purchase after my husband and I have purchased many appliances from Sears. I am so disappointed and do not know what to do.
The Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refrigerator we purchased less than 3 months ago has been a problem and has ruined our kitchen floor under the appliance, and the adjoining rooms carpet . The ice maker line backs up and fills up in the back of the appliance and then leaks onto your floor. We have had 4 appointments scheduled for the repair (on a 3 month old product), and now we are waiting to see if we can have it replaced. It was repaired once to no avail. Now we are just waiting without ice, and our refrigerator is in the middle of our kitchen so the floor can dry out...again. Waiting for the company to contact us about a new or a replacement. I am very discouraged at this point. VERY!
Got it on July 15. Sears offered me to extend my warranty after they replace the main board of a very expensive Kenmore elite refrigerator. New board warranty only for 90 days. Im suppose to keep expending money on a brand new appliance that is suppose to last at least 10 yrs.
Kenmore is reputable than most brands in the market. It is a great product for food storage and it had lots of room to store food to keep cold. It keeps food fresh from spoiling. I like the tray space and the freezer space altogether. My refrigerator has a nice white color that I would recommend to others looking to buy a Kenmore. The price of others as most models are cheaper but dont come close to a Kenmore refrigerator. I wished Kenmore had much more space to store food to keep it as the model I have has limited space for tall items. My expectations would be the use of smart technology in the future years to come. I dont see any other brand come close to a Kenmore because they have a shorter lifespan.
Plenty of shelf room. Nice size freezer. Very good with energy. It is very quite running nice. Large door shelfs, place to put your eggs. Vegetables on the bottom to put all your produce in a meat holder to hold your and keep it fresher longer. Very large to me. I put sandwich meat, all the condiments that I use. I have room to put a whole turkey in it, a gallon of milk, a gallon of tea, still have room for a whole lot more and yes I can fit everything in it I buy. My refrigerator is white and it matches my walls but white goes good with everything. It is easy to clean. No scratches on it. It still looks new since the day I bought. Like they say you pay for what you get and it was a great value. It doesnt break down. It pays for itself in the long run. It was worth the money I paid and I am very happy with my purchase.
I have had my Kenmore refrigerator for more than 20 years. I like it and it is dependable. When we first got it, the ice bucket kept breaking in the freezer part for the ice maker. After several replacements under maintenance agreement, it has finally held up.
Ive had no issues with my fridge. It works just as well as it did when we 1st bought it. I always have a full fridge and no matter what item is in there it always stays nice and cold & maintains a great temperature. The freezer never causes freezer burn & always keeps our food frozen and safe. I love the light on the door where the ice cubes come out. Its easy to find in the dark. It produces a steady stream of ice when needed but also provides a nice cold cup of water that tastes amazing. My fridge is the perfect size for smaller kitchens, although it would work just as well in a larger one. We are able to easily store everything that is brought home from the store, plus leftovers, from take out & dinner at home. Its big enough to hold my family of 4s food and beverages for 2-3 weeks. My refrigerator is a sleek dark silver with black handles. It is very current. I love that its not all white or all black. It looks great with the rest of my kitchen equipment. I believe you get what you pay for with regards to almost anything you can buy. That is not the case when it regards my fridge. There are certainly cheaper and more expensive models & I know without a doubt that its a good value when comparing it to other models. They also have a good warranty to back up the quality they claim to have & I have never used it, or needed it. It is nice to know that its there just in case.
Kenmore has always produced great products. If you were on a budget, this is the way to go. Very nice fridge for the price. The interior of the refrigerator is very spacious and drawer size was excellent. The cooling was very good and it kept a constant temperature, in the refrigerator and freezer. My personal choice for a freezer would be on the bottom. But the top freezer worked fine. It is just a matter of taste. But didn’t have an ice maker. My current washer and fryer are Kenmore too, and I’m very happy with them.
I love my refrigerator because its modern and very easy to use. I would recommend this to family and friends, goes with any color paint of the house. My refrigerator is about a medium size with nice width and height, can fit nicely into the area where the refrigerator goes. My refrigerator is a newer model and it all stainless steel, with black handles. Its wide and its tall, nice and heavy. Well because the refrigerator is modern, the value of it is very nice. Its stainless steel and stainless steel is in nowadays so the value is very awesome.
The Kenmore refrigerator was a name brand and on sale plus it came with a nice warranty and the store had it in stock so I was able to have it delivered the very next day. However, the delivery person was not here during the window they advised. Although I like the color of the fridge, it would be nice in some nonstandard colors. Also, the white color is easily damaged by magnets which everyone uses. Nevertheless, the Kenmore Refrigerator is sturdy, reliable, nice looking and easy to clean. It fits nice into a precut out spot for my refrigerator.
I bought this Kenmore Elite refrigerator in 11/15 and its first service call was 5/17, barely 18 months later. The Freon needed to be replaced due to a faulty valve (which will recur in about 2 years due to a design problem) -- that cost $400. Six weeks later, the food was not being kept cold and now Im told the compressor needs to be replaced! And the warranty covers the parts, but, of course, not the labor. Save yourself time and money -- DO NOT BUY KENMORE ANYTHING ANYMORE! This used to be a trusted name in appliances, but no more. The washer I bought 9 months ago doesnt get clothes clean (another review).
It was ok. Had some issues with deep freeze sometimes but over all kept good cold and able to consume. It would need defrosted every couple weeks because of some issue it was having. It was good sized but I needed more with kids at home and needed a newer refrigerator. It came with the house we bought. But knew I was going to get set French door refrigerator soon. It was off color, a little Almond color, went with the other appliances but Zinio was changing the color when I bought new ones remodeling kitchen and wanted new appliances. Value was good for the size but had some issues with needing defrosting a lot. Never really found out the problem with it. Just used it till I could get a new one.
My Kenmore refrigerator has met my expectations. It is still working well and a second refrigerator is in my garage. I didnt really need a new one but wanted more modern features. I like that it was brightly lit and deep. I like the gallon size pockets too. At the time I liked the top freezer. I still use it as an extra refrigerator after all this time. Now I like having a bottom pull out freezer better than on top. My fridge has no stainless steel exterior. I could have gotten rid of it when I got new but it was working just as well as the day I got it.
For your refrigeration needs, look to Kenmore. Find freezers, ice makers, wine cellars, and beverage centers. We can keep food such as ice cream and any other frozen food fresh, clean, and tasty. The space is very good and absorbent. I also enjoy the fact that this is the most top rated fridge in the northwest and it is very clean looking.
The Kenmore fridge has worked steadily with no problem for 4 years now. It keeps food as cool as it needs to in an even fashion unlike some fridges which are colder in some spots. Nice and roomy enough to hold everything we need it to. Runs quietly. It has side by side doors. Kenmore had it reasonably priced and has been worth it. Bought it and it was delivered the next day.
I do not own a Kenmore now, but used to own one. It was quality and built to last. I would highly recommend Kenmore. Its even the refrigerator of choice in pharmaceutical companies. It comes in a variety of sizes. I always prefer the refrigerator/freezer. The model we used had the freezer on top. Good stuff. I like the variety of sizes and styles. I like the white, but silver and black are also colors. I enjoy the steel look. It also seems to last longer and look clean. Again, it lasts long and requires fewer repairs. I like the ruggedness of this appliance. Kenmore knows how to make them. The pricing may be a little bit more, but you are buying real quality.
We made the horrible mistake of buying all Kenmore Elite appliances at Sears in April of 2015. The nightmare started with the delivery of some of our appliances where we were literally stood up by the delivery service on 3 different occasions, no call, no show... My husband and I were both working freelance jobs at the time. If we dont work, we dont get paid, so you can imagine how frustrating it was when we had to repeatedly take time off for these clowns to grace us with their presence, only to have them not even have the courtesy to call and cancel. They have zero respect for their customers. We had issues with our washer machine a month after purchasing it and now our $2500 Kenmore Elite refrigerator has suddenly stopped working. To kick it up a notch, a technician was supposed to come today to diagnose the issue for $99, but surprise, no call, no show. He was supposed to arrive between 3pm-6pm, so I again took off of work and waited around all day. At one point I logged into my appointment page and saw they had pushed his arrival window to between 6:45pm and 8:45pm. Knowing them and their horrid track record, I even called to make sure he was still going to come today and explained how I had taken off of work and couldnt take another day off, etc. The woman on the phone supposedly put me on hold while she called my technician to confirm and then told me he was definitely still coming and would call me when he was on his way... He never called. Later on I checked my email and at 7pm they emailed me to say my appointment had now been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. I called them right away to ream them out and the best they could do for my inconvenience was give me 20% off on whatever the cost of the service will be. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SEARS. I could write a novel on the hell they have put us through. They DO NOT CARE about their customers and their products are complete garbage. Even their own repairman, that fixed our washer machine, told me their products are cheaply made in Korea and to stay away from them and LG (which is who makes Kenmore appliances)! Its sad because they used to be a good, dependable company, but they are nothing but con artists now.
The fridge is easy to clean and to change water filter. It runs great. It has a lot of storage and energy efficient, not to mention its the Elite as well. I got it at Sears with good financing and I pay it off monthly. Its stainless steel and its beautiful. I love side by side doors. It was worth every penny. I love Kenmore and Sears is awesome customer service.
Ice maker breaking - freezer door wont stay close use you push it & shelves breaking. I dont like but cant afford to buy a new one and it WILL NOT BE A KENMORE. It fits all the items, shelves hold enough items, cant get a 2 liter of soda on the top shelf, dont hold enough eggs, butter and other small items - lettuce wont stay cold, put a item in back on it FREEZES up. Big enough for 2 people not big enough for more than 3 - holds enough items that we need. I would never ever ever in many year ever buy a KENMORE. I DO NOT intend for anyone to buy a KENMORE. Service calls they dont show up. Never have the parts in stock. Always late on showing on a service call.
I like the way the Kenmore ref stays cold and that it is very quiet. It has a lot of space in the refrigerator and on the door shelves. The freezer is great also. Overall I am very pleased with my Kenmore refrigerator. It has worked very well for me except that the shelves arms fall off, the doors dont want to stay shut at all times, hard to find light bulbs to replace it, ice maker dont work, not enough storage in the freezer and not enough drawer space. I also dislike the color. But it has never gone out on me and Ive never had to replace anything major on it.
These refrigerators use LG components which fail in their first 3-4 years if youre lucky. They will fail again several months or a couple years after. You will be up to your ears in repair bills and have to transfer spoiled food to a reliable old refrigerator.
Never had any problems with my Kenmore refrigerator. It always kept food cold and was easy to clean. Did not give 5 stars because mine was a side by side fridge which I wish I have more room in the fridge section.
This refrigerator always kept our food at the exact temperature that we wanted. Construction was top notch and it generally gave the impression of quality. I would, and did, buy this brand again. Our refrigerator was designed very well with some really nice features like gallons and 2 liters in the door, and convenient locations for butter and eggs. The interior and exterior were both visually appealing and all surfaces were well made and easy to clean. Our kitchen looked its best with this refrigerator in it. Thanks to great material choices and quality construction by Sears, this refrigerator looked like it was worth much more than it actually cost.
I purchased a Kenmore Pro refrigerator in 2017. I was so happy I didnt get an LG with all the issues of them with cooling problems. That is of course until mine stopped cooling a few days ago. Took the back off just to find out it was an LG compressor. Luckily I caught it soon enough to have not have a loss of food but now here I sit with a very expressive 4yr old non-working refrigerator. After looking up information on this compressor I saw that there was a settlement for it and I could get an extended warranty to have it replaced at no cost but of course I cant find the receipt or any proof of purchase. All I have is pictures of the fridge and compressor and LG said without a receipt they wont help me. All I wanted was the faulty compressor replaced and they know its faulty but all I got for help was too bad, so sad. Guess I will NEVER purchase a Kenmore or LG ANYTHING ever again.
What I liked about the appearance best was the handles, nice and small, not sticking out too far, because when going into the fridge you would not hit your head when looking up. The size was just fine, every thing fit fine but would have liked to be able to store 3 gallons of milk from back to the front. The 3rd gallon just comes over the front edge. Also, would not keep ice cream hard, only soft, and air leaks in the freezer. Temp in freezer 10 degrees would not go any lower. Also very noisy and running for long periods of time. This box would have been the best value for us if it would have worked out and did what a box was supposed to do and would have kept the ice cream at the right temp.
I purchased a brand new Kenmore refrigerator 8/2018 and the compressor blew 9/27/2020. I called to set an appointment date for service and they failed to show. My appointments are now continuing to be rescheduled later and later in the month. This has changed every other day via text or automated calls from 10/6, to 10/7 to 10/19, to now 10/20! I have received no explanation as to why my appointments keep getting changed and no acknowledgment regarding a service request for a refrigerator which is an ESSENTIAL household item.I’ve expressed that I have 3 children in my home and that I was buying ice to preserve milk and eggs in coolers. I’ve lost wages leaving work for a service that never occurred, in addition to losing all my food in the refrigerator and freezer! No coverage because I didn’t purchase an extended warranty. I paid $170 for an outside technician to come Evaluate and repair but I have to have a Sears technician inspect it. The compressor is covered under the manufacturer warranty but I’m responsible for the service visit fee- no problem, if I can only get someone out to do the service. I never imagined that I would have a major part go in just 2 years. All my appliances are Kenmore????
5 yr old Kenmore Elite fridge and freezer is not working. Ive been told multiple different answers all week long with multiple customer representatives. I have spent hours on phone calls with them and being transferred to multiple reps and departments trying to resolve the issue. This is beyond ridiculous as far as customer service. They are deplorable, simply deplorable, and no resolve.
Lots of space, keeps everything cold. I havent had any problems with refrigerator. The price was great. Id recommend this refrigerator to any of my friends or family. I buy a lot of meat every month and never have a problem fitting everything in. The refrigerator has plenty of room for all my drinks and condiments. I do understand prefer side by side if I had a choice but they are a bit more pricey. But I am happy with the appearance for the most part. I think the price was competitive to other brands. I think the price I got on this fridge was very fair and customer service was great. They were very informative.
We had very few problems over the years. It was purchased in the seventies and I believe we had it into the late nineties. Actually we moved and left it at our old home. How much longer it was in use I do not know. It may still be running. I dont recall the size but at the time of purchase we were a family of five, so with that in mind I am sure we purchase the right size. The freezer was across the top and always seem too adequate for our family. I guess its appearance was satisfying. I remember in later years in the life of Thorpe fridge we had it painted to match our new decor in the kitchen. The price of the fridge was probably middle line. It was not an economy price nor the more deluxe model. It serve my family very well although there wasnt a lot of bells and whistles.
Wonderful performance. I love it. Great experience. Would recommend it to friends and family. It was good and a beautiful refrigerator and kept things cold and the frozen foods frozen. Great size was able to have plenty of room and could separate things because of all the room. Had a great experience with it. Stainless steel looked sleek and elegant. Was easy to keep clean and everyone just raved about how beautiful it looked and wanted to get one for themselves. Great value for everything that you get both with looks and space and performance. I am very satisfied and would buy another one. Great.
On 21 August 2011, we returned home from after a weekend away and noticed that our Sears Kenmore refrigerator (Model: 71309) was not working at all. We have purchased this appliance in June of 2009 with a three year extended warranty. We assumed that since the manufacturer warranties the appliance for the first year, our protection would begin once that ended. Clearly, we were misinformed at the time of our purchase. The entire contents of the freezer/refrigerator were lost. We placed a call to 1-800-4MY-HOME and were informed that our protection agreement expired on 30 June 2011 (not quite two months prior). We were told at that time that a technician could not even come to look at the refrigerator until 09 September 2011. When asked if there was any way someone could come and, at least, look at it before then to determine what was wrong, we were told no. On 22 August 2011, I called 1-800-4MY-HOME again to try to discuss any possible options since we buy all of our appliances from Sears. Meanwhile, I had to have another company come out to look at the unit for $89.00 to, at least, find out what was wrong. They came on on 24 August 2011 and determined that the mother board fuse was blown and a whole new mother board must be installed.On 22 August 2011, I spoke with Ella after calling the 1-800 number. Ella was helpful. She informed me that we could purchase a one year extension for our appliance for $163.98. I asked if we could possibly have a courtesy extension to help move the service request along and perhaps avoid the $89.00 fee for someone else to come and look at the refrigerator, she advised no. Once we paid the one year extension of $163.98, we could schedule an emergency service call where someone would come out within five days. I asked why we were not notified that our warranty was going to expire, and was told that no notification was being sent out. Only as a courtesy, we were given the option of extending for the $163.98. I then asked if we could schedule the emergency service first and then my fiance would just call back to give our credit card information. She said no and that we must call back and pay the extension first before we could schedule. My fiance called back that same day and was given an extremely hard time. At first, they told him that the amount to pay was $251.00. He said that I had just called an hour or so ago and was told $163.98. He was told again that it was $251.00. He called me to ask who I spoke with and I advised him that it was Ella. Finally, after being transferred three times, the amount of $163.98 was found to be the amount to pay. Then, when tried to activate the Emergency Service call, they told him that no one could come out until 07 September. He said that there should be a note saying that we are requesting an emergency service because we had been without the refrigerator since 21 August 11. Reluctantly, a call was scheduled for 29 August 2011 between 1 - 4. We asked that a note be put on the account stating that this could not be cancelled. On 29 August 2011, after taking the afternoon off from work, we received a call at 3:30 saying that the technician had called out sick and they had to cancel the appointment. (Why wait until 3:30?) Then, we asked, Does it say that this appointment cannot be cancelled? The reply was, Yes, but there was no technician available to come. They could reschedule for 30 August 2011 between 1 - 4 again. We were not happy but we agreed. I also called to inquire about the food we lost and was told to give the list to the technician. He would have to call the food loss department and verify a few things.On 30 August 2011, at about 3:45, we received the call that the technician was running much too late to get there, asking if could they reschedule. My fiance had been home since 1:00 p.m. After he informed me of this, I called the escalated customer solutions phone number and was treated with no respect stating that we were given the option of cancelling. This was done if your customers had to go back to work or had other plans. I said that the technician wanted to cancel the appointment again. It was already too late to return to work and we had taken two half days already. This was unacceptable. I advised that I didnt care how late they were going to be. I would be there and I wanted a technician to arrive, prepared to fix my refrigerator. The lady on the phone reluctantly checked with scheduling and I was told that someone would be there that day. She could not give me a time, though.I left work and headed home. Half way home, my fiance called to say that the technician arrived at 4:20 and was there for 9 minutes. The technician determined that the mother board was blown, had to order a part, and no one could come back until 14 September to install it (This was Karl from the Blue team). Karl then proceeded to tell my fiance that if he was handy with a screwdriver (since the part was being mailed to our home), my fiance could open up the back of the refrigerator and install the part himself. Wouldnt this void my warranty that I just purchased? He then said that the part would arrive Thursday to our home. My fiance stated that he was not going to install it himself and when he said that he had the food list to give to the technician to call the food loss department, Karl said that he couldnt take that list. It wouldnt be covered anyway, and there was nothing he could do. We would have to wait until the unit was repaired to even attempt to call it in. My fiance was at a loss of words. Karl left after being there for a total of 9 minutes. My fiance called me as I was still on my way home so I attempted to call Sears again and tried to explain that I was extremely dissatisfied with the events that took place. I was told to hold and the line got disconnected. (It was 4:45 when I called). When I called back, I was told that the offices were closed until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Needless to say, I was not very happy. When I arrived home, I was shocked to find in the mail a renew your warranty letter. The worst part? It said that I had until 03 October 2011 to renew. The cost? $130.00, which was $35.00 cheaper than what we had paid. I am finding all of this to be a huge game being played by Sears. The notice led me to believe that I was covered until 03 October, and to renew, all I had to do was reply and pay $130.00. But I had been disconnected earlier.At 8:00 a.m. on 31 August 2011, I was calling the escalated number once again. The person who answered, after asking for my phone number, did not even let me talk. She said, I see here that there is an emergency part ordered for you and it will be delivered tomorrow. I asked about the 14 September 2011 installation and why was I disconnected last night. She said, Hold on. No, we can have someone there Saturday. I dont know what 14 September you are talking about. I tried to explain what had happened but she said, I can read it all right here, no need. Is Saturday okay for you? Between 9 - 11? I said yes, but... She interrupted me and promptly said, Have a nice day, thank you for calling Sears, and hung up. I have never been so insulted by this entire process. At this point, if the technician does not arrive on Saturday, I would like my refrigerator replaced with a three year warranty.As a bright note, I called the food loss department myself on 1 September 2011. I spoke with Ashley, who was, I must say, amazing. I told her the whole story and asked if the department would be open on Saturday so the technician could call-in the food loss as I was instructed. She said, No, but I can see what a problem you have been having. She proceeded to process the food loss claim without any problems. She was absolutely amazing, nice and helpful. If my whole experience was like this, I would not have been so angry.On Friday, 02 September 2011, we received a call confirming our appointment for Saturday 03 September between 8 - 12. So, by 12:05, when no one had arrived, called or anything, I called the escalated number that I had been calling all week. They informed me that my account was locked and it had been referred to corporate with a case manager. They could not help me other than to pass my number along and have someone call me back within two hours. I expressed my extreme displeasure and the representative informed me that she understood and would have the corporate case manager call me.I decided to call the number that had confirmed our appointment just to ask why no one had appeared at our house. After holding for 17 minutes, the representative informed me that my appointment was cancelled. I said, What? Who cancelled it? You confirmed it yesterday. She said, Well that is an automated call. I said that I didnt care if it was automated or not. It was confirmed, and this is an emergency call that has been an emergency for a long time. I asked to speak to the person who decided to cancel this without letting us know and after holding for a considerable amount of time, my call was disconnected.I called the escalated number and after holding for 15 minutes, I was informed again that my account was locked and referred to corporate. The representative assured me that she would take my number to her manager (who would get in touch with the case manager) and someone would call me back shortly. I had been at home waiting since 8:00 a.m. and it was now 2 p.m.Then, I received a call from case manager Edwins assistant**. She stated that she reviewed my case and that she understood my frustration. Edwin would contact me today. I explained that I would have never known the appointment had been cancelled had I not called them several times. I informed her that I was completely aggravated and that I could no longer afford to take any time from work. It has been 17 days without a refrigerator, I have been hung up on, given more excuses that I can count and lost time from work. I wanted either someone to come on my time to install the part or I wanted the refrigerator picked up and have my money refunded. At this point, I dont want anything from Sears in my home since its nearly impossible to get it fixed or get any help on an emergency situation. Ive had to eat out for three weeks, which I cannot afford. I cant go another day without a refrigerator.As I am typing this email, I received a call from a technician that he was at our home to install a part. I am flabbergasted. I informed him that someone was supposed to be there on Saturday but no one showed up. There was no one home today. He said, So, you are telling me that I cant install this? I said, That is what I am telling you. No one showed up on Saturday and we found out that it was cancelled after six hours of waiting. He said, I just install parts. I dont know anything else. I said, Well, there is no one home. No one knew you were coming. I know that its not your fault but this has been escalated to corporate. No one can get there because we had no idea you were coming.At 9:45, Rowland in routing just called me apologizing. He informed me that someone cancelled the appointment for Saturday, set it up for today without letting anyone know and that should not have happened. He doesnt understand why but he realizes that this was the wrong thing to do. He said that he can have someone come first appointment on Wednesday, 07 September 2011. Meanwhile, I still have no phone call from the case manager or corporate offices. This is completely unacceptable!Today, 07 September 2011, I just got off the phone with 1-800-469-4663 since Rowland informed me that we would be first on the appointment. But now, they informed me that I am on the schedule for tomorrow between 8 - 12. How much longer is this going to go on? I still have not received satisfaction/ resolution from the case manager. I still do not have a working refrigerator (this is Day 19) and again, we are being pushed off until another day. I feel like this is being treated as a joke. This is still completely unacceptable. I am tired of hearing we are sorry, this is beyond being sorry.
The fridge was a decent model. It did not have a lot space. The freezer was small and could not fit all of the frozen items in it. I could only buy a few meat items at a time. In addition, the fridge part was an okay size however the bars on the door came off and the condiments would often fall out.
My Kenmore lasted 15 years. It had plenty of door space as well as freezer space, kept food at a constant temperature. Mine was a 15 cubic foot single door with top freezer. I would personally recommend a Kenmore to anyone.
I bought Kenmore refrigerator in July 2018, then the compressor was down in January 2021. Searss technician told me that Kenmore will charge me over $800 for repairing with compressor replacement, and customer service even more pissed me off!!! Different representative are saying all different story!!!! I paid $1700 brand new Kenmore Refrigerator but works only 2 years, then will pay another $800 labor cost to repair and extended warranty only 6 month... Pls remember dont buy Kenmore Refrigerator, the quality is sucks, and customer service is sucks even much more.
The refrigerator has performed without problems for the past year and a half. The only caveat I have is that the ice machine will freeze up occasionally if the freezer door is left open too long, but it is easy to fix although the ice will get all over the floor when removing the ice bucket. The size is adequate for me and my wife. We entertain occasionally and have never needed an ice chest. I always like more space but havent missed not having a larger refrigerator. I like the stainless steel finish very much and it fits right in with my other kitchen appliances made by Frigidaire. The doors are easy to clean and the shelves pull out easily. The refrigerator looks great and is called Elite. That is a good advertising hook (it impressed me). The unit looks great inside and out. I recommend the looks a lot.
We havent had any problems. Everything is in working order. Cools and freezes fine. Works well, and we really love the ice maker and water dispenser. It is large enough to hold everything we need. 2 liters, gallons of milk, and twelve packs fit just fine in the fridge side. It is usually never even full... even the freezer. It looks fine. Just a regular refrigerator. It blends in well with our other appliances. It is white, so it has to be wiped down regularly to get rid of handprints and such. It does what we need it to for the price we paid. We are happy with the value.
Would not recommend buying any appliance from Sears. Their support is crappy as is their product. Have had our fridge less than 4 years and it has already broke twice. Have spent over 700 on repairs for a 3,000 dollar fridge. Just finished talking to “service guy” who couldn’t find order with phone number and they can’t look up by customer name! Was calling to ensure right part was ordered since the compressor went out and I received a small wire copper tube only. After me having to do the footwork for him to find my order all he did was cancel the service call since the part wasn’t here! Sadly enough it’s no wonder Sears is going under.
Kenmore Refrigerators have good temperature control and nice drawers. Overall cubic feet is fine but side by side really limits overall size especially for large containers. Much too narrow of a door. It has good options with adjustable shelfs. Overall performance has been good but very frustrating that ice maker broke after a few years. Value is ok but considering how much these costs the ice maker should not break. Should at minimum have a lifetime or very long warranty on the ice maker.
It lasts very long and is dependable. We have never had any major issues with it and it is a great warranty that gives you peace of mind if it should ever break down that it will be fully covered no matter what. It can fit everything that we put in it large or small without any problems. As most people know they are fairly large refrigerators that can take anything that you throw at it no matter what. It is a very modern looking fridge that should fit in well with any decor and it is very sleek and updated with the latest colors and technology. The price was great and I never have to worry about it breaking down because they seem to hold up to pretty much anything that may be done to it no matter what it is that may happen to it.
I like how well made it is. It really has great materials and the build quality to match. It has served me wonderfully and I am very glad I chose it. I am surprised it has so much to it given its just a fridge. However, I dont like the size of it, but it is alright because it fits where I need it to. Often times I will have a milk jug too tall, or wasted shelf space due to too much open height. Kenmore really has outdone my expectations. It is a great brand and compared to others it seems better. I chose it based on availability, but Im kind of glad it was what I got after all.
The refrigerator after just 11 months, before the one year warranty expired, started collecting water in the bottom floor of the refrigerator (upper unit) and did not cool anymore, lost lots of food. Called their technical repair number, they sent a “technician “ who basically told me it was my job to fix it, that the problem was that I needed to defrost the refrigerator completely, wait a couple days and plug it again in order to defrost the ice that would collect on the back wall and resulted eventually in water pooling at the bottom and not cooling; never mind that it was the middle of summer and that I owned only ONE refrigerator. After many sour discussions with their repair service (How can a less than one year old refrigerator suddenly stops working?) and their insistence that they would NOT give me a new refrigerator, I decided to do as they said: defrost it, wait 2 days, plug it back. It worked for 4 months, after this period it starts all over again with same problems, called again, this time however, I was told it wasn’t under warranty any longer (1 yr 3 months old) so I had to pay for the repair, trip of technician and any parts. I refused to do that for a basically “NEW” refrigerator. I have had problems with this refrigerator every 3 or 4 months and as of now, less than two years old, I’m so frustrated that I’m ready to acknowledge a “loss” and move on, get a NEW refrigerator; obviously making sure it is NOT A SEARS BRAND or any manufacturer related to SEARS. Wondered why they are in bankruptcy? DO NOT BUY A KENMORE OR SEARS APPLIANCE in the short life they remain as a business. SEARS does NOT take responsibility or stand behind their appliances. We should have a class action suit!
The refrigerator is beautiful. It is top of the line and I would seriously recommend that to other consumers like me. It has so much space and storage, so great! The size is perfect for holding a lot of stuff. The storage is crazy. It is really light and moveable, just in case you move. Youll be surprised the difference in a picture and real life. The appearance of this refrigerator is great. Its so shiny you can see yourself from it. Its slick and hot, I cant get over the look. You have to get this! The value is a lot. Depends on how you use it and take care of it. Make sure you dont make the value go down too low. I hope I am being helpful.
Keeps everything cold and it also keeps the freezer stuff just as it should. It is not noisy and it last. I have had mine for a few years now. The size is great to hold everything and also everything fits great. There is a lot of space. It is a great brand and it fits my needs. I will buy this brand again if I should ever need another one. It looks great and I like the style. The price is great. It fits well with the brand and the style. I like that there is a top and a bottom. I also seen the side by side. No matter what style you get it will be great.
Throughout the years my family has purchased many Kenmore appliances from the time I was little to the present, and we have always been more than satisfied with the performance and quality of all of them including the refrigerators. They have great warranties and great service people. All in all, I must say they are one of the best manufacturers of home appliances built.
Have owned this refrigerator for a few years and have not had any issues at all. Also the price is very affordable which makes it very economical. Its a standard size that fits perfectly in my kitchen. I love that I can get the shelves and steers out easily and replace them hassle free. I own a white model that is clean and classy looking for a basic white model. Its just perfect for my kitchen. Goes well with my decor. Have had no issues or problems. There is no rust that happened to my last refrigerator which is very impressive. It cleans up very nicely and great for the money.
Poor Ice Maker performance on our Kenmore model 106.5113 Refrigerator (Purchased April 21st, 2015). We are dissatisfied with the quantity of ice our new Kenmore refrigerator produces. We called Sears for a repair technician to come out and look at the unit. The technician explained the Sears no longer offers a repair service for these units and he was a third party contractor. He couldnt find anything wrong with the unit and said the new unit is not as good as the old ones. He suggested the accelerator option to force the refrigerator to make ice faster. I told him we tried that and even in accelerator mode, it only fills about one-half of the ice bin in twenty-four hours. We usually do without ice about midday. Our last Kenmore lasted 24 yrs and until the day it died it still would fill the ice bin in less than 24 hours. I wish I would have had it repaired now instead of this piece of junk. His only advice was to use accelerator mode. This is an indoor ice maker and it is very inferior to our previous machine if thats the case. We use to fill a small ice chest with our old machine and it would be full again in a few hours. I dont ever remember this thing ever being full. I gave their service department a poor review so they called me back for a follow-up and said that Sears didnt make Kenmore anymore and I would have to contact the manufacturer. They said this was a Whirlpool unit, gave me their number. I called Whirlpool and they said they didnt make the unit either. Im going back to the store for a refund. No wonder Sears is struggling these days. What a nightmare!
When we moved 3 years ago, the previous tenants had taken all the appliances. So, since we had past experience with Kenmore, we went to Sears to replace them. The refrigerator has been good and dependable. The only bad comment I might have is that the ice maker is a bit noisy.
Bought this item in 2016 with French doors and bottom freezer door with go door on right side. Price was $2500 and the compressor just died Easter Sunday with fridge full of food. Tech knew what the problem was when he saw it was the elite. Will take a week to get the compressor and he has already warned me that this is the beginning of the end. Once the compressor is replaced these have a history of going south from there. Only saving grace is I bought the extended warranty. Do a little research and you will hear this same story over and over again. Do not buy these.
We purchased a Sears Kenmore Side by Side refrigerator because the Kenmore name has always been known to be of good quality that lasts for years. Ours started leaking out the front of the ice/water dispenser about 5 years ago, even when it was turned off and unplugged. It in turn caused rust stains on the entire door underneath the dispenser. I have cleaned it off but it keeps coming back - it is not plugged in and we are no longer using it. I finally removed the square piece around the panel to find out what I could. I found out that the area around the dispenser under the plastic panel had eroded away. Now the door is ruined and pieces of it fall off if you try to put the square piece back on the panel. The refrigerator still works well, but we dont have the water hooked up to use the dispenser. Its too embarrassing when guests come over and there is rust running all down the front of the refrigerator.
I own a Kenmore Elite Trio French door refrigerator and the large glass shelve shattered in little pieces when I went to clean it under water. This is the second same type of fridge I owned and the problem is that the freezer keeps freezing up and then defrosting to the point that even the food gets defrosted. The ice maker freezes up and stops making ice. The ice melts down, then freezes up to one block of ice. This is a $2,000 purchase and it is the second one that I have owned. The first one was left behind when I sold my home and I only experienced it for five months as I had to move.My freezer has frozen up and the tracks were frozen. When I went to pull on the freezer handle to try to open it, the door hinge came off and the door is hanging on by one hinge. It is Saturday and I had to put a trash can up against the door to try to keep the freezer from defrosting until Monday, when a service man can come out to fix the door. I am reading all of these complaints and I am not a happy camper. I will be calling Sears Monday morning with all these complaints to back up my complaint and I will get back to you to let you know how it goes. I bought this fridge last September 2009.Updated on 05/06/2012:I followed up on my service call. Well, it has been one week, and today, I finally have my Kenmore Elite Trio bottom freezer made by LG working again. Never buy Sears appliances. I spoke to the corporate office, and you cannot speak to anyone above the so-called customer service executive office people. I spoke to a Lana, and she would not tell me her supervisors name. She said it is for security reasons. Ha! The service man came out on Monday, ordered the part, and came back Thursday to install. Well, it was the wrong part for the freezer door. I ordered it again, and the appointment was made for Saturday. The service man came out, and it was a different man who came out to service the fridge. He did not charge me! I am sure they made a mistake, because I was told I would not be reimbursed for food and I would only get maybe a 10 to 15 percent discount. Its not acceptable to me, since I lost over $300.00 worth of food. Lana was not helpful; she was very rude and would not let me speak to anyone else in corporate nor would she gave me any name of who was above her.So I called another number, thinking I would get someone else. And lo and behold, I ended up being transferred to Lana again. I told her that I wanted to speak to the CEO. She said I could not speak to a higher authority. I said I will be writing a letter to the CEO, and she said it will just go to her. I also stated in our conversations that I will be standing out in front of Sears appliance entrance, telling and showing everyone about these complaints that are out on the internet about Kenmore appliances and the lousy service you get now. She said to not threaten her. So I said it was a promise, not a threat. Hmm, I wonder if she had second thoughts and really did authorize the service for free.Well, we will find out if they contact me. I will be telling them Too bad! And I will not be paying for anything, except the service call. Stay tuned. Remember my freezer door got stuck, then I tried to open it and the door fell off the hinge. That is my story. Spread the word. Do not buy appliances at Sears. Oh, I also told her I was a realtor, and I was going to tell everyone in the industry not to buy Sears appliances. Hopefully, she came to realize I was not joking.
Bought Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator about 3 years ago. One of worst purchases we ever made!!!! Shelves rusted after 6 months & refrigerator totally crapped out a few weeks ago. Customer service was non-existent. Not hard to figure out why Sears is a has-been company on the brink of collapse! Will not purchase another appliance from Sears...E-V-E-R!!!!
I love my Kenmore refrigerator. It keeps things very cold all the time. Never ever fails. It seems to keep food fresher much longer than my old refrigerator. It is very roomy, many shelves for many different sizes of products. No matter how much food is in it it never looks cluttered. You can always get to what you need. It goes very well with my other products in my kitchen. I(t gives the look of my kitchen a upscale look to it. It has a very modern look to it. It is fabulous looking. Very proud of it. It gives my kitchen a look that I like. It looks much more expensive than it actually costs. It is very valuable to me. It goes with what Kenmore stands for - a great look and lots of room.
The performance of my Kenmore refrig is really good. It produces the right amount of ice and keeps all my food cold when I need to reheat it and eat it. The size of my fridge is really good. The appearance of my Kenmore refrig is decent. It has a shiny outside that does shine quality overall. It somewhat does attract fingerprints but its fine since it looks really good. Although the fridge is really big, it costs on the high end of fridges. I bought another fridge before and it was cheaper. For the price and luxury, I think its fine but overall, I think it costs too much.
I purchased a Kenmore Elite French door refrigerator in 2014. It has all of the bells and whistles! The refrigerator stop cooling/freezing completely two days ago in middle of an event that I was hosting! I had to different repair companies to come out. Recommendations: buy another refrigerator! The system is loosing Freon in different places and it will cost almost a thousand dollars to fix, with no guarantee that it will last very long! This is absolutely disgusting! I see that there are many other cases in the last 3 years that are the same as mine. There should be a class action lawsuit!
First we got the refrigerator on sale! It works wonderfully and has lots of room for all of our food products. We have had the fridge for 5 years and have had no negative issues. It has a stainless steel exterior that is easy to clean.
It was good until it had to be replaced. It was one of my first refrigerators and it was nothing fancy. I got a side by side refrigerator the next time I got one but this one worked for many many years. It was a little small but still fully functional and it didnt take up too much space which is always good to have. I liked the big freezer personally because I eat a lot of frozen foods. Plain and white but clean and simple is how I would describe it. It had a good place to place magnets on the front and it wasnt nice enough that you were afraid of damaging it. I dont think I could have sold it to someone even in a garage sale but it served our purposes well which was primarily to keep our food cold or chilled.
The best I ever had. It is big enough for the food that I put in it and it does not over cool the products that I put in there either. I would highly recommend it to family and friends just as I have. The one I had before this one was the complete opposite. It over cooled my veggies and fruits and to make matters worst the milk. I mean these are things that most people take for granted. I know because I did too. But theres nothing worst than going into the fridge for a beer and its frozen. Well with this Kenmore you dont have to worry about a thing. Just fill it up and enjoy. The one that I had was about around 6 feet tall. Im not too sure about the width but I know it was big enough for us. You will not be disappointed. I assure you my friend. Its a beautiful fridge also. I get compliments on it all the time. When I offer people a drink they usually get up and come to see the inside of it like its a new car or something. The value was on the money as far as how much I had to spend and what I wanted to spend and to be honest I believe that I paid less for what the fridge is worth.
Its was good and performance is good. It was very spacious and have easy to clean. Easy to maintenance. Difficult to clean the rack. Freezer and icebox was too good for celebrating parties and function at home. The size was huge. More spacious and elaborate but some huge box has not fit in this type of fridge and the colour was white. It is very difficulty to maintain. The stain was permanently fixed in the fridge. Appearance was good but Im not satisfied in that. It was huge and big rectangular box with two door. It is not stylish for the home or apartment. I like metallic colour fridge. Its looking good. The value was not satisfied because its not looking good. The rating and price was not good. It was too high when compared to other fridge, difficulties to handle and clean the fridge..
Kenmore is a great appliance. I really enjoy the self-defrost. The price was reasonable. I had the refrigerator for three years now and its not a problem so far. I would gladly recommend this appliance to a friend or family member. The good thing - If something to happen I have maintenance insurance.
It was one of the best refrigerator and it would freeze good in the freezer and run and kept thing cold. It lasted so long before it went out. It kept the food from ruining. It look good and the size was good.
Good quality and reliable and dependable. Last for years. Its a great deal. I am really happy with it. It really keeps up with our family demands. I would really recommend this fridge. It is great and I am content and happy with its use. I have gotten really good use out of this fridge. Sleek and stylish, fits in with the decor and style of my home. Its compact and fits right in my kitchen space. Not at all bulky. Really a durable fridge. You can expect to get a lot of use out of it. I truly love the craftsmanship of this fridge, it stands up to its name and reputation.
A great refrigerator, plenty of freezer space and shelving in the main cold section. Easy to keep clean and easy to use. I will definitely be buying another since I moved and the one here is not as good. Its capacity was enough to take care of all my refrigerator items and food. The shelving had enough room for even larger items that I needed to keep refrigerated and all of the condiments that I use on a regular basis. And, the drawers for my fresh vegetables and meat items always kept them as fresh as was possible until I was ready to use them.I like my refrigerator in a white color, and it was very easy to take care of the outside and keep it clean and fresh looking. It fit beautifully in the area in my kitchen where it sat. It helped to make my kitchen look clean and bright. It is a very functional refrigerator and kept my fresh grocery items in great condition. I knew that all the food in it would be in good condition when I got to it.
Kenmore Coldspot Model # 106-62152110 - I have had Kenmore appliances all my life and never have I had one go belly up in less than 3 years, most lasted 20 years or more. We bought a side by side, a stand up freezer and an extra refrigerator for our pantry, which was the last one we bought and it was 11/11. About 2 months ago it began not cooling right and had to be turned up and even then the freezer was not freezing. Ice cream was like milk and things in the refrigerator spoiled. We live out of town, 40 miles to Costco, so like to avoid that trip by having this extra appliance. It took them two weeks to get a repairman then he said it could take up to 3 or more weeks to repair as it was a major coolant leak and may not be cost effective. Since the warranty had passed I was pretty much told too bad, so sad. This is not a Wal-Mart coffee maker or curling iron. Since when can you not expect a refrigerator to last more than 2.5 years? In talking to the Solutions dept I was told they have no phone # for the corporate office and I had no other place to turn. What a joke. Sears has turned in to another corporate bully.
Bought a Kenmore refrigerator Nov 2017, under warranty, repair techs out twice, two more scheduled repairs. They were a no show, Philippines based customer care is incompetent. DONT BUY KENMORE! SEARS IS DEAD!
Bought Kenmore fridge 2012 when on sale on Black Friday - thought what a great deal. No such luck. Started making noise & not freezing items. Replaced a $60 part with no luck. Sears repairman comes and says its compressor, $700 to repair because I didnt think I would need extended warranty (fridge last at least 5-10 yrs). The repairman said, You def. need warranty for they are disposable items. - his words not mine. Needless to say, bought new fridge elsewhere including warranty.
Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer Model 253.7031 Purchased 12/12. Warranty up 12/15. Bought Home warranty this month 8/16. This has been a very poor appliance. Had it just a few months and ice maker quit. Tech came out and did a workaround to get it to run. Has always been noisy and didnt cool as it should. Warranty on fridge up six months ago. Called due to a leaking problem. Sears sold me home warranty. First 30 days will only pay out $500.00. Tech came out and said that it was structural and could not be fixed. No insulation in the back. No wonder it was noisy. Sears is not backing it other than $500.00. This is a sealed component and should be covered for a longer period of time. I spent close to $2000.00 for this fridge. I want the $500.00 to go somewhere else to purchase and they refuse. Why would I purchase from them again? Sears no wonder you are going under. Poor quality appliances. I called in and was transferred to four different numbers. You need to work on the customer service. I do give them credit that every person I spoke to knew this was a problem with the fridge.
Had a family member who worked in the warehouse. Got it at a reduced price for a little bit of superficial damage. Plus at the time I had a Sears credit card so that was easier to not have to put any money upfront. But the good part was never had any problems out of it. No maintenance issues or nothing. Unit was purchased in 1992 when I bought the brand new house and I owned for 13 years. The unit had a built-in ice machine and had the built-in water dispenser. The refrigerator seem to be the right height for both my wife and I and we never had no problems getting into the unit or above the unit because it was encased on three sides. However, the refrigerator unit had a matte texture to it. This texture was hard to keep clean because of the pits in it. I would have made it with a smooth finish or I wouldnt have to worry about actually using a scrubber to get into the surface and get fingerprints and stuff I guess for the kids off of but we never had any mechanical problems out of it. It always seem to run just the way it was. Never overheated. Never had to call the repairman so I was really satisfied with it.
In 2011, I purchased a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator (stock #46-54789) from Sears, for my elderly parents. The ice maker and dispenser are extremely poorly designed. Ice chucks drop inside the unit on its own; shaved and crushed ice falls to the floor, outside the unit each time used, causing my 77-year-old mother to wipe hardwood floors each time the ice maker is used. Chute appears to be too short, was not designed to have ice go directly into a glass/cup, therefore ice dispenses everywhere outside the glass, on to floor, well of unit, and shoots sometimes on to countertop across of unit. The Sears repairman says there is nothing they can do.
I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator in May 2015 and the compressor failed this month October 2018. I am highly disappointed that this costly refrigerator is beyond repair after 3 years. This company should be held responsible for this and provide compensation for the hundreds of dollars in losses.
I love Kenmore. I have had several appliances from Kenmore and have really enjoyed owning them. I love my fridge, well-made, dependable. Love the space, the look, the ice maker. Have never had any issues out of it.
They guy at the store recommended Kenmore Refrigerators. I liked it and it was the right size. It was in my budget and I’m very pleased with it. It was in stock and they were able to bring and put it in right away. It has worked great. It keeps food just the right temp and food always stays fresh. Shelves are sized nicely and it is not noisy which I like. But why do all appliances look the same? I like something different and I wish they came in different colors, like red. And I wish the ice cubes were a different shape. The freezer seems small to me and should be bigger as well.
We purchased a new Kenmore Elite refrigerator in November 2016 for nearly $2600. Now it is November 2019 and the control board has stopped working. The part is on back order and can take 7-10 business days. Thank goodness I purchased the 3 year extended warranty because they are sending me $300 to help with the cost of lost food, also sending me $115 to help towards the purchase of a compact refrigerator I had to get in order to get my family of five by. This whole process has taken three weeks. Once the new part is installed I will be looking to extend the warranty again as I no longer trust this refrigerator. I do not recommend the Kenmore Elite.
Sometimes the water line will freeze where the ice comes out. Also sometimes it gets too cold and freeze cold and water but other than that its been really great and does what it needs to do. The size of the freezer is too small. Needs to be bigger than other size. Has great shelves and plenty of room for all the stuff I need to keep cold like water soda and foods. I have a black one and the appearance of it is fine. It goes well with everything that I have in my kitchen. I have all matching stuff in there because I am ocd. I am pretty happy with the perceived value of the refrigerator that I have in my house. I am on a budget so price was a big factor but also I have a nice size family so I needed one that was at least middle size.
Kenmore has below average craftsmanship. I wanted a refrigerator that had the freezer on top and fit into my space. I did not want an ice maker as I live in a 4th floor condo and did not want to worry about leakage to the apartment below. The door handle broke off after 1-3 months of use. I received about 6 handles from Sears while it was under the one year warranty but when the year was up Sears only option was to buy the extended warranty. The refrigerator has worked well but design flaw of the handle was very disappointing.
This refrigerator was good quality, it was reliable. Would of enjoyed one of the stainless steel models with the sleeker look and more modern design, but this fridge was fine. It was easy to keep clean even though its white. Also, it was a good size for my family (myself, husband, and one child). There was plenty of room and extra for everything we need. I tend to cool a few big meals on Sunday to last a few days and need to store it in large tupperware or pots and that can take up a lot of room but I had it with this fridge. We had it for years with no problems and I didnt feel like this fridge option was overpriced. I like this brand and its a trusted name so I felt comfortable with what we were purchasing. I would recommend this fridge and this brand.
I bought it (Model 65633) on 10/24/04 and have had the repairman out here at least 10 times. Now it is not cooling and ESP is saying it is the lines in the freezer and they will not fix them. We have a refrigerator in the garage for the last twenty years which my husband grew up with and it has never had a repair. There is no quality to your product and we will never buy a Kenmore again. I have told family and people who come over the same. What is wrong with your product? Initially, we were using A&E Repair at 800-905-9509 recommended by Sears. Thanks to them, the ice maker still does not work.
We have had this side by side refrigerator 4 years. In that time we have had a service person out twice because the ice maker wasnt working. Now we had them out again because the freezer wasnt keeping the foods frozen. This time the compressor is faulty. Apparently the extended warranty only lasted 3 years so it is going to cost from $700-$1000 to repair. I find it unacceptable that a refrigerator would only last 4 years. Last time I buy anything Kenmore. We bought this through Sears and they were of no help either.
