I love my Kenmore refrigerator. It has so much room and can have so much food in there. The controls are easy to control and the freezer does not give my food freezer burn. The shelves were easy to take out and made it very easy to clean, inside and out.

The performance of the refrigerator is outstanding. It is very durable and helps keep things fresh longer. I really enjoy using this product. It helps make my life easier and run smoothly. The size helps me fit all of my food in the fridge. I am very satisfied with the size. When I got the fridge, it was clean and neat. It looked huge when I got it. I love how it looks. It is a valuable asset to have in the house. The value of it now will outlive the fridge itself. I paid a good price for it and think it will last me many good, long years.

We bought our Kenmore refrigerator about 10 years ago and it has been very dependable. It has always provided the service that we hoped it would so I would definitely recommend it to other members of my family and friends.

Refrigerator maintains temperature throughout. With my last fridge things on the back shelf would freeze and items on the front of the shelf would get warm. No temperature balance. Have not had any problems at all with this unit. All items stay same temperature. Problem free. Plenty of room for a family of four. Smart space on shelves and doors. We store around ten days of food in my HE fridge and about a months worth of frozen items in the freezer. This refrigerator has a very clean modern look to it. I believe it came in more colors we have. The steel matches other appliances perfectly. This unit was not the cheapest to buy nor was the most expensive. I feel we got a great value for our dollar. Three years maintenance free so far. The last two refrigerators we had were from LG and a generic brand. Both had major problems within a year.

If you buy a Kenmore Elite French door be very sure you are buying one made by Whirlpool not made by LG. If you are told it is a LG, RUN. I have a $2000 Kenmore Elite French Door bought Aug. 09, 2013 that I am junking. Had it worked on by the only local guy locally. He put on new parts and could not fix. Takes Sears home repair at least 3 weeks to come. Sears does not offer any help and could care less. Wants you to buy a warranty for $49.95 a month to cover repairs up to $500. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG or KENMORE ELITE.

Im able to adjust the temperature so food is always fresh. Lots of storage space. Adjustable shelves make storing easy. Its not difficult to clean even with kids touching it a lot. Lower on my refrigerator budget. All around enjoyable. I am happy with the size of the refrigerator. It does not take up much space in my kitchen. The multiple storage containers within the refrigerator is convenient. The refrigerator is sleek and stainless steel. It matches my other appliances and have gotten many compliments. It has really completed my kitchen. The refrigerator has so far lived up to my expectations. I have had no issues with it this far and enjoy it. To me it was worth the cost.

Refrigerator is very expensive. There is some value to it, but there needs to be more value in terms of discounts and losing of the percentages that make for bigger discounts. Meaning I would like 50% off instead of 25% off of the value. The appearance has a good design and color. But from the outside it looks like a rundown appliance that needs work. But when you get to use it, it works really well and has the features and benefits that any appliance should have. My food is kept cold and fresh for when I need to eat it again. I have enough capacity to put my food inside. It holds everything with enough durability that the shelves will not break. The size also is convenient for bottles and big items that need to be kept fresh.

The performance of my refrigerator is great. I havent gotten any problems with it. It has an amazing light which allows me to see and keep all my groceries edible for a pleasing time. I have to say that it isnt too big or too small! It allows me to put the right amount of groceries I need and maybe a little extra. The color of the refrigerator is this amazing silver but it isnt a silver that is too bright almost like a fake looking silver. It is more like a grayish color. Its very attractive and easy to clean. This refrigerator is worth the price. Its value is amazing! It works wonders and its absolutely a purchase that makes your kitchen not only look great but make things easier.

I have had no issues with the performance of the fridge. It works well and maintains the proper temperature without any problems. This is a smaller refrigerator. It is hard for me to fit in everything I need to store in it. However, with the size of my kitchen, I wasnt able to purchase a larger size model. The outer appearance is very nice and wipes clean well. I like the appearance of the inside as well but have had some of the shelves crack or the plastic edging around the shelves crack. I have had the fridge for nearly 10 years. I remember it being a good value and I like the Kenmore brand name.

The only reason I chose this Kenmore refrigerator was because it was cheap. I bought it used since I know it would be cheaper than buying it at the store. I spend only 500 dollars on it and I really like it. As long as its not making my food bad I am happy.

I bought Kenmore refrigerator because I am a loyal Sears customer. I never had any problems with Kenmore appliances. If I did buy another brand I wouldnt have the confidence as I have with Kenmore. I am satisfied, with no regrets. Attractive refrigerator, nice compartments, keeps food at the right temperature and does the job. The refrigerator also had a lot of room for all my dairy products. In the past, Kenmore had numerous colors to choose from, but I am also loyal to the white ones.

Loved the design. The water and ice component made life easy. Definitely would recommend this product to others. I was able to fit enough food for a family of 4. During the holidays, the turkey and ham was able to fit with a gallon of milk and leftovers. It was very sleek design. Modern and can fit in any kitchen and home. The stainless steel is a great design. The two side-by-side doors come in handy. It is an expensive refrigerator but it is competitive and worth the money. Stands high above other refrigerators. Great value for what you get.

I have never had any problems with my Kenmore refrigerator. I had always had great performance. Have had for many years and it has been very reliable. Just the right size for my household. It fits perfectly with my kitchen space and has always been able to fit everything I need inside. My fridge is an older model so I dont really love the appearance. I have probably had it for a good 10 years or so. It is white but I would like to upgrade to a newer stainless steel version that includes a water dispenser. I am happy with the value. It was already in the house when I moved in and was bought by the previous owners. It has always worked great though.

I purchased my Kenmore Elite 13 months ago. Just like most people on this site the compressor & some other crap is no good. I have been without a refrigerator for about 40 days. Every time I call the service repair I am transferred at least 3 times, nobody can give a straight answer. I just want to know when is it going to be fixed!!!! Yesterday the Sears guy came out to fix it. Now the ice maker doesnt work. I will NEVER purchase another Sears appliance. I dont even know if I should call them or just get it fixed myself. Sears your customer service is horrible!!!

I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator with a bottom freezer in September 2017. Ive had the technician over twice already. The problems associated with this are loss of food; inconvenience and the mental stress I go through each time I call because I have to wait a minimum of seven (7) days for an appointment. When I complained to the customer service rep I was told that they only label appliances non functioning after FOUR visits.This is a very poor business model from a company whose main product is appliances. So here I am once again in the middle of summer with a refrigerator that is not sending cold air up from the freezer to the refrigerator so I dont even have cold water. Shameful. I would not recommend anyone purchase appliances from them unless they have a guarantee to have service in 24 hours from when the request is made. And yes! I did pay $241 for an extended coverage and the service still sucks.

Even temp no problems! No freeze spots in fridge part. Have never had an issue with this fridge. The freezer works well. It freezes item quickly. The fridge is a good size for a small family. We have four adults in our household and the size fits all of our needs. The freezer also makes good use of space. It is a basic looking fridge! It blends in well with other appliances that we have. It is easy to wipe down and keep clean. Unlike stainless you dont have to worry about fingerprints. We shopped around and found the value of this model to be great. You are getting a great brand at a price that should fit any budget. The energy saver cert makes it a good value to use.

It is great. Have never had issues with it. Filters water very well too. I like the fact that we can change the temp as well so it keeps things nice and fresh. By far the best refrigerator I have ever had. Very spacious and has plenty of room. I especially love the special compartments it has for vegetables, butter, lunch meat. They are so convenient. It has a very modern look which I absolutely love. The silver makes it look very aesthetically pleasing as it can match many things found in a kitchen. Great value, it seems like it will be very durable and long lasting. I would recommend. You get what you pay for, in this case this item is great.

My letter to sears customer service: I am writing to you today to express my sincere displeasure with the quality of customer service I have received from Sears. As you are probably aware, I purchased a new, top of the line Kenmore Elite refrigerator from my local Sears store in May of 2012. Since then, this refrigerator has stopped working twice. Both times I called Sears to repair it and both times I was told it needed a new PCB (part number EBR 73093602) and a new Duct assembly (part number ADJ 73252202). The first service call was covered by the manufacturers 1 year warranty, the more recent call was not.The technician who was sent on the most recent occasion mentioned to me that the problem I am experiencing is a known defect and has been assigned Service Bulletins. This was confirmed by the customer service representative that I spoke to on the phone. The CSR went on to give me the actual SB numbers of CREF20121236 and CREF20131371. Knowing now that this is a documented recurring problem, I had reasonably expected Sears to stand behind their product and cover the cost of the repair. Apparently I was wrong. After numerous phone calls and being transferred form one representative to another, the best resolution I was offered was a 10% discount off the cost of the repair. I find this totally unacceptable.My refrigerator has been inoperative for 2 weeks now, and will remain so for at least another week as that is when the parts arrive and the next service appointment is scheduled. Again, this is totally unacceptable. In the interim, Ive been forced to incur the additional expense of renting a refrigerator to avoid further loss of food due to spoilage. My experience with Sears up to this point has been extremely disappointing to put it mildly. The unwillingness to stand behind their products, especially knowing of the recurring defect, is deplorable. Going forward I plan to leave numerous online reviews, documenting the issue Ive mentioned above. I think most people expect more from Sears. Thank you for your time. The Kenmore refrigerator has been one of the most amazing things I have ever bought. It is just as good now as it was the day I bought it. It keep everything nice and cold. Its very quiet sounding. I have four children and two adults in the home which means we have the need for a lot of things to be on hand and in the refrigerator at all times and this size works well for us. Its not one of the fancy looking new models but it fits right in with all of our other appliances in our home. I enjoy the looks it provides on the kitchen. This product have reached to the star for its value. It was a great price and has paid for its self over and over. It is a wonderful product and has saved me tons.

We had very few problems over the years. It was purchased in the seventies and I believe we had it into the late nineties. Actually we moved and left it at our old home. How much longer it was in use I do not know. It may still be running. I dont recall the size but at the time of purchase we were a family of five, so with that in mind I am sure we purchase the right size. The freezer was across the top and always seem too adequate for our family. I guess its appearance was satisfying. I remember in later years in the life of Thorpe fridge we had it painted to match our new decor in the kitchen. The price of the fridge was probably middle line. It was not an economy price nor the more deluxe model. It serve my family very well although there wasnt a lot of bells and whistles.

Just a couple years ago we bought a Kenmore Elite side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and it worked great for about a year and last year we had to spend over $700 to have a part replaced and now we had to spend $95 to have someone come look at it because it quit working again and they said now it is leaking coolant. Had I known we were going to have to put so much money we would’ve just bought another brand and saved our self the hassle of continually having someone at our house to check our refrigerator. The expenses that we’ve paid to have things fixed don’t even include the amount of money that we’ve thrown away due to lost food when it quit working both times.

One refrigerator was on recall, but we knew nothing about it. Even the service man said he was unaware of the recall. It took months to have it repaired. We moved and bought a new refrigerator. Our new fridge had problems with icing up in the bottom freezer. We took care of that problem and now months later it will not keep anything cool in the main part of the fridge. Ive had no issues with my fridge. It works just as well as it did when we 1st bought it. I always have a full fridge and no matter what item is in there it always stays nice and cold & maintains a great temperature. The freezer never causes freezer burn & always keeps our food frozen and safe. I love the light on the door where the ice cubes come out. Its easy to find in the dark. It produces a steady stream of ice when needed but also provides a nice cold cup of water that tastes amazing. My fridge is the perfect size for smaller kitchens, although it would work just as well in a larger one. We are able to easily store everything that is brought home from the store, plus leftovers, from take out & dinner at home. Its big enough to hold my family of 4s food and beverages for 2-3 weeks. My refrigerator is a sleek dark silver with black handles. It is very current. I love that its not all white or all black. It looks great with the rest of my kitchen equipment. I believe you get what you pay for with regards to almost anything you can buy. That is not the case when it regards my fridge. There are certainly cheaper and more expensive models & I know without a doubt that its a good value when comparing it to other models. They also have a good warranty to back up the quality they claim to have & I have never used it, or needed it. It is nice to know that its there just in case.

Kept everything fresh. No problems with leaking or breaking. Lots of room in freezer! Convenient size and held up to weather conditions in a garage. Perfect size to fit lots of stuff without being bulky. Top freezer gives a lot of freezer space. Much more than a pullout drawer freezer. Clean-looking outside. Neutral white color, clean-looking glass and drawers inside fridge. Sleek-looking. No complaints! Great fridge for reasonable cost. Not much change in electric bill adding this as a secondary garage fridge. I got it with a coupon too so it was a great value.

Fridge did the job that it was supposed to do. Our food was kept cold until we wanted to use it, many times for a week. All of our drinks were kept very cold. We had no leakage from under the fridge which was the main problem with our old one. This fridge blends in well with the decor of our kitchen. We also have a small freezer on the top which keeps everything frozen forever. Neither the fridge or freezer need to be cleaned out very often. I just like my fridge.

I bought my Kenmore/LG fridge back in 2013. The fridge has been running great until last week. We noticed the ice maker stopped working then realized the freezer was not freezing and the fridge was not staying cold. I did research over the past couple days and found out the compressors are made by LG and they are not just faulty but have a class action law suit about the compressors. I have scheduled Sears repair to come out to repair the fridge but they are telling me that the compressor is free to replace but not the labor. That is ridiculous. The labor can cost as much as $800. How can you charge labor on a product you know is faulty, have a class action law suit and not have told buyers with a recall? If you are buying LG or Kenmore refrigerator ask questions first about the compressor and do your research first. 1 of 3 fail from what I have read.

Bought a bottom freezer French door fridge from Sears in February. Noticed that it seemed to run almost constantly, and the compressor hums and buzzes so loudly that it is audible in almost every room in the house. Since the unit is under warranty I called the Sears service center. They have our information on file. The first technician I spoke with tried to tell me that the noise is coming from the ice maker. When I didnt agree, she said to lower the temperature in both the fridge and freezer and wait 24 hours. I did that, but the noise persists. I called again.The second technician explained that the noise is likely coming from the water filter because my water pressure is too high. I disagreed, and she suggested I unplug the fridge for two minutes to reset the system, then wait 24 hours for the unit to stabilize. I did that, and the noise persists along with the compressor running almost constantly. Im now told that this sort of noise is normal in todays modern refrigerators and there is no need schedule a service call. Im about at the end of my rope. It may be time to send this sucker back to Sears and get my money back. Avoid Sears at all costs. No wonder theyre failing.

The inside of the fridge part runs very well, but after a year the water/ice dispenser ceased to work, and you have to be careful with the freezer as if you put too much in the top shelf, it will leak water everywhere and cause a minor flood. The size of my fridge is fairly good! I can usually fit a months worth of groceries in at the same time with no problem. The freezer side, not so great. I really have to pack it in there. Sleek and sophisticated, fits in pretty much any kitchen. Doesnt require too much cleaning to keep up appearance and what cleaning it does require is easy. I pretty much got what I paid for. I could get the dispenser fixed, Im sure, but for the price I paid for this refrigerator (it was on sale), I got an awesome deal.

My landlord chose to buy the Kenmore refrigerator. It was better than expected and I would more than likely purchase another one in the future. I might just change it to a style with the freezer on the bottom or just purchase a separate stand-alone freezer. The size was perfect for our family. The spill-proof glass and gallon doors were a plus. We also liked the ability to control various parts of the refrigerator. This allowed our food to stay fresher longer. Moving the shelves around was also helpful. However, the freezer was not as wide as I would have liked. Especially with larger items like a turkey that just wont fit in the freezer. I dont think there is anything you can to do fix that without taking room from the refrigerator side of the unit. Given the option, Ill take the more refrigerator space.

The entire unit has plenty of space for your needs of a family, Id say up to 7 people. The refrigerator and freezer space is large enough to hold whatever it is you need. The freezer has never iced up in 13 years, which makes me thrilled. If I had to replace my unit, I would certainly consider another made by Kenmore as I HAVE NOT had any trouble with this one AT ALL. It is a great piece of equipment, just like Kenmores other equipment. You can not go wrong buying a KENMORE!!!! The size of the refrigerator is almost too big for my family of 3. When the holidays come around and I have 17 people at my house that is when I am thankful for the capacity of the refrigerator. The refrigerator holds everything I need it to hold and more. I have a white refrigerator and is very easy to take care of when something gets on it. With having an upper door for the freezer and a lower door for the refrigerator, this makes it easily accessible to get to the item you need. The refrigerator and freezer has the ability to switch which way the door opens, so whatever way your kitchen needs the unit to fit it will accommodate. Nice. Everything, nowadays, is very expensive. However, like the saying goes You get what you pay for and with refrigerators/freezers you need a HIGH QUALITY one. Kenmore is known and lives up to its name so as you may pay a little more you are getting a much higher quality for your money. Its worth it. Having my refrigerator for 13 years and it is still running like day 1 says a lot to me. Money is tight and I am not having to run out and buy a new one for any reason. Bottom line - Kenmore is a great value for your money.

Kenmore is a good quality brand because it is reliable. It is cheap and does not break down as often as other fridges. I like the ones with the freezer attached but sometimes the ice maker leaks water.

I like the stainless steel outside, which is easy to keep clean, but the door doesnt hold a full dozen eggs. So I have mixed feelings about our refrig. Next time I buy a refrigerator, I will definitely make sure the door is the right size.

Not bad price and good power usage. Didnt cost much to run and spacious on the inside as well. Also easy to clean because inner shelves removable. Spacious enough to store about a week or two of groceries along with a few days worth of food. Didnt have trouble getting even large portions inside. Outside and inside were both easy to clean with just simple cleaning solution or water and soap. Also stylish on the outside, resisted fingerprints. I bought this on sale from an online company and used a coupon. Also got free shipping but even the base price is a good deal for what you get.

I bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator from Sears less than three years ago. I have had technicians out at least three times this year because it keeps breaking. I get a different story and different bill from them every time. It is broken again, and had another appointment scheduled for tomorrow. 6/19/19. Now it is pushed back to next week. And I keep getting charged, and now Sears has raised the diagnostic fee for a call out by 13%. I have recently replaced my Kenmore refrigerator. Not because I didnt absolutely love it, it just didnt fit into my new home. It was an amazing product and gave me many years of perfect service in my previous home. I will be purchasing a Kenmore again the future.

The water stops coming out every once in awhile. One time a part broke, but other than that its done what weve needed from it. The space inside is good and we like the adjustable shelving. When we make a trip back from Costco, it can a little cramped in the freezer, but each month we manage to squeeze everything in there. I like the modern stainless steel look in any refrigerator. So did my wife. The controls were easy to understand. It is good modern-looking refrigerator. We bought it at Best Buy and for the money we spent for it, it did what we wanted it to do. There were better model with more doodads but this one had everything we needed.

Love the easy access to be able to get the ice, either crushed or cubed choices. Or cold water option as well. The price of this model is in comparison to other models and brands of its kind. This model is efficient in its performance and does all that is needed in a refrigerator. It is beautiful to look at and very easy to access the items that are stored into it.

Kenmore Refrigerators did a great job at keeping my veggies fresh for several days longer than I thought they used to with my old fridge. Fruit did great as well. However, it would freeze things in the back of it if I wasnt careful. I have to keep an eye on things especially if they were almost empty. Frozen milk is just gross. Additionally, I wasnt a huge fan of the door shelves either for some reason. However, it kept things cold and it didnt melt my ice cream which was a huge improvement over the prior one. All in all, its not too bad.

Kenmore Elite Refrig made by LG - Ask first and STAY AWAY. Short and sweet, 1st refrig, 9 mos old, 5 service calls before declared dead (took 6 weeks). Replacement refrig, 6 months old, 2nd service call (2 weeks so far, new board, new interior panel, broke by serviceman). STAY AWAY FROM LG REFRIGERATORS. THEY SUCK. NO QUALITY CONTROL and they do not care! Buy the service package. You will need it!!!!!!!

The refrigerator kept most of the food cold, however it had poor vegetable humidity control. The meat container sections were well-spaced but I prefer have a single compartment instead of using a multi-spaced compartment area to store your rock-hard meats. The refrigerator was well-spaced and it had decent legroom for standing inside of it, however when it comes to freezer room, there was not enough space. Yes it was overall not great.

It was a previous refrigerator, several years ago. It served my purposes very well but eventually, I opted for one with separate doors for freezer & refrigerator as well as internal water filter system.

My Kenmore refrigerator freezes food and insulin even when its thermostat is set as 40 degrees. I have had several repair calls and appointments on this since it was bought in 2009 and this issue is still not resolved. The Customer Service department has told me that my warranty is invalid (which it is not). The customer service today went as far as hanging up on my husband while he was complaining about our refrigerator problem, freezing his insulin.

It has enough space so that I can store everything I need. It saves on electricity. It is totally reliable. The color is perfect for the decor in my kitchen. I usually go food shopping at once a month to buy everything that I need for that month. I am so happy to have a refrigerator that can store all the things that I buy. The freezer space is great for all of the meats and frozen veggies that I buy. My kitchen has cream color appliances and cabinets. The cabinets are also cream and trimmed in brown so my refrigerator is just the right color for my decor. The value of the refrigerator was fantastic for me because it was on sale and the price was right. After all, I didnt want to spend an arm and a leg.

It hasnt given us any real problems over its lifespan other than it makes a very loud thumping sound when shutting off. It still runs perfectly though. It is definitely big enough for a regular sized family of 3 or 4 people. The only time there isnt enough room is when we are hosting a gathering. It has a very basic appearance and is white in color. I wouldnt say theres anything special about the appearance but that isnt why we bought this model. It is more of a bargain refrigerator so I think its a great value. I want to say it was around $1000? No repair bills of any kind so we cant complain.

It works great and keep thing quite cold. I use to love this. I also enjoyed it and all the people love it. Fish is good and works great. Its is good size. It can keep a lot of things safe and sound. It has a lot of rooms to put things in. I love its shelves and empty barrels. I love over all this refrigerator. Its performance and appearance is so good and relevant to me. I love it and my family also do. I love to enjoy this experience again. It is a refrigerator of good value. I love its performance and it also comes in good price. I purchased model 75523 bottom freezer Kenmore refrigerator on 11/26/2004. It has been serviced three times not including the recent service, which concluded the compressor was blown. Now what? Does Sears have any program set up for such failures of their appliances? I cant afford to replace this 7 year old fridge, what alternatives are available to consumers? I like Kenmore because it’s made by Sears and this white, wide top, side by side, frost free refrigerator is next day free delivery. Its with a 10 yr warranty which is the best deal Ive seen in years.

Ice maker breaking - freezer door wont stay close use you push it & shelves breaking. I dont like but cant afford to buy a new one and it WILL NOT BE A KENMORE. It fits all the items, shelves hold enough items, cant get a 2 liter of soda on the top shelf, dont hold enough eggs, butter and other small items - lettuce wont stay cold, put a item in back on it FREEZES up. Big enough for 2 people not big enough for more than 3 - holds enough items that we need. I would never ever ever in many year ever buy a KENMORE. I DO NOT intend for anyone to buy a KENMORE. Service calls they dont show up. Never have the parts in stock. Always late on showing on a service call.

It works really well. Its a good fridge - I would recommend it. If you need a simple good fridge then the Kenmore is the fridge for everyone to use. I love it. I have had it for 23 years now. And it still works like it is brand new! I can fit big cakes, watermelons, apples, and lots of other REALLY big items in it. I have held 2 bowling balls in it before. (Dont ask why.) o_o If you were to get the white fridges then you need to clean it a lot. But a black one not so much. But white ones are still good fridges. I got my fridge for $59.99 dollars at the store but I clean it a lot since its white and my kids are really messy people. Cause kids are kids.

A ton of room for freezer items. Really loved this as a member of a wholesale club and was able to save money buying items in bulk as freezing them. The size of both the top and bottom compartments are large. There is a lot of room in both for items of all sorts. Really helps to find things you need. The fridge fit in seamlessly with my newly renovated kitchen. It is sleek and modern, and I got a lot of compliments on it from people who saw it. Got a good deal on this product at Sears and the energy efficiency was very good. Saving money from being able to store a lot of things and see them all, not losing anything to lack of sight.

The performance of this refrigerator met all of my needs personally and I was extremely satisfied with the performance and the look of this refrigerator. It was perfect size for all of my groceries and fit well with the size of my smaller kitchen, and it didnt look disproportional in my kitchen. The appearance of this refrigerator is stylish and up to todays standards. It has a ultra-modern look which is perfect for my kitchen, and all my friends and family always compliment the look. This refrigerator was a steal compared to the others on the market. I personally bought mine at Best Buy and got it for around 300 dollars cheaper than the original price which was a great price for what it has done for me.

After only 15 months of usage, our $2500 Kenmore Elite (LG) fridge had a compressor fail. 8 days without a refrigerator and labor costs not covered. Repairman said hes seeing a LOT of these boxes have compressors fail, so buyer beware. Extended warranty is outrageously prices -- probably because its likely to fail yet again. I expect a class action suit at some point based on reading online about faulty LG compressors in both Kenmore and LG refrigerators.

It last a long time, for years and keep things cool. Run very well. The price on Kenmore is good. Good product to have. You can count on the refrigerator to run a long time. I just bought one and this is the 2nd one I bought. My 1st I had about 15 years and still running good.

I have had my Kenmore fridge since 1992 when my home was built. In all that time the only thing that I had to replace on it was an inside light socket. Very dependable appliance and when this one finally quits running and I will buying another one.

It is a fine appliance. I got no bad things to say about it. It keeps all my beer good and cold. When I want ice in my whiskey I have always got it ready to add to my glass. I kill my own meat most of the time and I never have to worry about my refrigerator going out on me and spoiling all of the deer meat, bear meat or any of my trout I catch out of the river because that would really piss me off. Nope no complaints on it yet anyway. Its going on 5 years old and it is like brand new.

This is a question I dont like answering but I will say this. A Kenmore Refrigerator is just a working machine just as the other brands. At this time I cant honestly say one brand is more better than the next brand. I just need a refrigerator and what I have right now is working very well.

The refrigerator performs well and is very easy to maintain. The issue I have is that it is too small for my needs but I cannot get a bigger one due to the space I have to place it. At some point I expect that will change and I will get a larger model with more features... I tend to keep a lot of condiments and require more space in order to keep other item. Also space would be more advantageous since I prepare large meals in advance. I have had to cut down on size and frequency in this regard. But again my issue is a spatial issue. The unit is not unattractive but does lack, shall I say, curb appeal. It would be nice owning a unit that looks exciting or affluent but this is not achievable at this time. I feel I got exactly what I paid for. A functional refrigerator that does its job, affords the necessary space that the average person would need with little extra space for those extra things.

Works and never had any problems with it. Great, lasted a long time, always worked and kept the food cold and frozen all the time. I would highly recommend it if someone asked. The size was great. Had plenty of room in the refrigerator and there was plenty of room in the freezer. I can always find something without looking around in the top and the bottom. I had the white one. Kind of plain but it didnt take up extra room. It fit right where I needed it to go. It was a great appliance. Its about the same cost of other brands but its well worth the price and it works great and saves on electric as long as you dont keep it open.

It was the first fridge and lasted fireboat twenty-five years before needing replaced. Would have purchased another one but the price was too high to buy at the time. Now will only buy american made appliances.

I got a Kenmore fridge and its less than a year and a half old and Ive had guys from Sears out here working on it 8 diff times and its broke down again. Big money into this thing like 3699.00 and its junk.

Shelves that move to any place is truly important to me and each and every one of these move to exactly where I feel they need to be. And that includes the shelves on the door. So you do not need to jiggle and juggle things when trying to get that carton of milk or salad dressing out to use. The bottom freezer has a pullout shelf which is especially good for ice cream, and other important foods. Larger food items - lots of them - fit well into the bottom portion. Since getting this refrigerator several years ago I have not had to play with the temperature once it was set. So nice to not have to think about that.

It was more than what I expected and delivered on every aspect. Many people told me good things about it but I never expected. It was very cool and clean. All of my beverages in pristine condition. Down to the innovative edges and every inch and every parameter in just a structure of it was magnificent. Its very boldly made. I like it. The perceived value of the fridge is beyond measure and without boundary and you will not find another product that will live up to the expectations of this. I was very satisfied overall. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Kenmore is a great brand. We got one in 1994 and we just recently purchased another. I liked that we very rarely had to have it worked on. We had a top freezer with ice maker and the ice maker only broke once. The parts such as drawers and door shelves were very durable. The refrigerator was easy to clean and was the best one weve ever had.

We got a really good deal on our Kenmore refrigerator and the price definitely was a driving factor in this purchase for us. My parents had a Kenmore in the house I grew up in so I knew it would be reliable. I like the ice machine and the power freeze option. There is also plenty of room for storage and the shelves allow for many different ways of organizing your food. However, I would maybe have the freezer set up a little bit differently and I wish there were more shelf so that stacking food was a little bit easier because now things seem kind of jumbled.

The ice maker is very easy to maintain. We change the filtration as recommended by Sears. Our crispers keep our food fresh very well, the freezer is excellent, we have different compartments. However, I would improve the outside ice delivery service, so your ice can be crushed or normal size cubes, a third addition to the Kenmore. We have been married for 45 years, raised 4 children, my spouse was Army for 20 years and we took our 2 Kenmores wherever we went, some have 220 watts which is what Europe uses. That was a great help so we did not have to purchase transformers overseas, we have always had two Kenmores as we like to shop at the Military Commissary and get a great savings along with our wonderful Kenmore refrigerators.

I loved the overall refrigerator and its performance. It ran quiet and there was sufficient shelves, however, I did not care for the freezer. For the most part, the refrigerators size fit all of my need items, except during Thanksgiving. I found it difficult to adjust the shelves to fit my 25 pounds turkey. The overall Appearance, for a standard refrigerator with a top freezer, was appealing. It was easy to wipe down and keep shiny. I would recommend it. The value was in line with what I got, but only because it was on sale. I would not have purchased this item for the non sale price. It was a pretty standard or basic fridge. No special features or bells and whistles. Nothing special inside, pretty basic.

Had a Kenmore refrigerator before and never had any problems with it. Kept food fresh and everything was always cold as well. It always functioned. The freezer was amazing. There was also ample room to store everything that I needed. The only thing was that I wished it had an ice maker.

I have had Kenmore and two other Sears refrigerators over the last 30+ years. This Kenmore Elite side by side has been very good. I had one small maintenance problem a few years back and Sears come to my small town 83 miles from their service center and did the repair at no expense to me. The only problem Ive had since is the fridge door handle is getting loose and I have emailed and spent quite some time online trying to see how to fix this. No luck to date.

We have a Kenmore fridge model number 106.59702993 serial number SK3956975 manufactured in 10/2000, last Thursday night we were awaken at 2 am by the smoke alarms. The fridge compressor electrical connector was smoking filling the room. We unplugged the fridge which hasn’t been plugged back in, we have found several videos online of this type of fridge fires. Yes the fridge is 17 years old, but we would never expect the fridge to catch on fire, but simply stop working.

It works really good. Definitely worth the money I paid for. I have no problems with it. I would recommend to other people who are shopping around for a refrigerator. It is a good size. It is hard to buy a lot of food at the same time since it isnt too big. I wouldnt recommend it if you have a big family. I am very happy with it. It is nice and expensive looking. I like the way it looks and feels. I would recommend to all of my friends. It was definitely worth the amount that I paid for. I love it! The product has been working amazing since the day I got it. I would consider buying another one just like it.

Besides the obvious of great price, the style was perfect (side by side) with great features like on door filtered water and ice dispenser. But the best part was while it was the brand with the shortest exterior depth, it still provided a large interior. Also, it was very quiet which was one of the features that was most important. Finally, the service plan was excellent since it include an annual maintenance feature.

I purchased a Sears Kenmore Top freezer refrigerator on 12/6/11 and it has been trouble repeatedly. It seems to me, a company should stand behind their product & want to maintain a great customer satisfaction. I think they have an obligation to sell products that work, and to replace those that dont work. Repeatedly, it doesnt keep food cold. If I call customer service for repair or to extend the warranty, it involves several hours, several calls, not understanding their English because they are in Indonesia, and then to try to get someone to come... First a guy came, but by the next day, his fix clearly didnt work. I had to go through that all over again. Now I throw in the sponge & call a local repairman who is very reputable, and pay his price. I would never, ever buy a Sears Kenmore Refrigerator/freezer again as long as I live!!! They are unreliable & problematic, and service on them is also aggravating. If someone doesnt help me soon, I will lose a lot of my food. I cant keep going through this. My fridge gets gentle, average use. This should not be happening, AGAIN. I am very angry with Sears for being impossible to work with & for not standing behind their product. I know now that they really dont care. My fridge is a 20.6 cubic foot unit, model # 106.62159110.

We bought a new Kenmore side by side and paid extra for the indoor ice maker model #106.51332710. One year and 1 month to the date it was delivered the ice maker quit working so I called customer service. We have water but no water to the ice tray. They were not willing to stand by their product and send a tech out unless it was on my dime. Now Im sorry. We are a family of 4. This was not overused for it to die on such a short time span. Its ridiculous. I now know 2 other people that have had this exact problem so apparently this is nothing new. Dont waste your money you will be paying for repairs just out of the year you purchased it. What happened to customer service or just doing whats right?!?!

I had a Sears charge card, like the features, had experience with Kenmore appliances, convenience, and the price was right. I like the refs the ice maker, door water distributor, side by side refrigerator and freezer, and the three drawers in refrigerator. But I wish there was an easier way to change filter, which is located on the bottom of the freezer and is very very very hard to change.

Me and my wife decided to upgrade to the best refrigerator on the market we thought!!! So we gave our 10 year old Kenmore refrigerator to a friend of ours to upgrade to Kenmore Elite refrigerator! The first year we had it the ice maker had to be repaired then a few months later it frosted up and that had to be repaired!!! Now just over two years old the compressor has gone out! Hi, I hope you are able to help me. I could not find any other way of reaching Sears to get an answer. We just purchased a refrigerator at Sears in the Volusia Mall, Daytona Beach, FL. We then went to our local small Sears store (Palm Coast, FL) to get a part that we needed for the install. The gal at the Palm Coast store asked why we had not purchased from them. We did go there first but they did not have the model on the floor that I needed to see. It was only available in Daytona. Which by the way, the local store would not tell me. They wanted me to look at a picture. My question is this: The gal at the local store said since we did not purchase the refrigerator from them they would not answer any questions for us or help us in any way. WHAT? I thought Sears was Sears no matter where you were located. We will never use them for anything again but I want clarification of the information we were given. Is it true that you can only seek assistance from the store you purchased an appliance from? What happens if you move? Seems very fishy to me. Thanks so much for listening. If you are asked the question how long you expect a refrigerator to last, it would certainly be more than 5 years - more than likely 10-15 years. I have a 4 year old Kenmore refrigerator with a bottom freezer and the technical sent by Sears is telling me that he could attempt a repair for $500 which may or may not work (he said he would not trust that it would repair the fridge). He basically said I need a new refrigerator. I paid over $1300 for this appliance and I certainly expect it to last more than 4 years. Of course I did not purchase the warranty because you expect appliances to last. The technician is offering us a $100 coupon - you know where he can put that! I will not buy another Kenmore appliance. You would think that someone at Sears would be reviewing these reviews and take some action to correct their customer dissatisfaction.

A great refrigerator, plenty of freezer space and shelving in the main cold section. Easy to keep clean and easy to use. I will definitely be buying another since I moved and the one here is not as good. Its capacity was enough to take care of all my refrigerator items and food. The shelving had enough room for even larger items that I needed to keep refrigerated and all of the condiments that I use on a regular basis. And, the drawers for my fresh vegetables and meat items always kept them as fresh as was possible until I was ready to use them.I like my refrigerator in a white color, and it was very easy to take care of the outside and keep it clean and fresh looking. It fit beautifully in the area in my kitchen where it sat. It helped to make my kitchen look clean and bright. It is a very functional refrigerator and kept my fresh grocery items in great condition. I knew that all the food in it would be in good condition when I got to it.

It was easy to organize and to maintain. It had a good energy performance and never gave us any problems. It was not fancy but extremely solid. The space allotted for a fridge in the kitchen was not big. This fridge fitted perfectly and had enough space for us to store groceries for a family of four with two children. Simple but elegant. Not particularly noticeable, which I considered a plus. The exterior was easy to clean and with two children that was a bonus. This is not a fancy model. It was chosen because of the space available and the style of the kitchen. However the ratio price to quality was excellent.

My refrigerator fits perfectly in the spot designed for it. It holds all of my groceries for a month without any problems. I also enjoy the crisper for my vegetables. I love the white color and it cleans very well. The next one I buy will be stainless steel bowl. My children still so does all the time and it wakes up easily. We got big bang for our buck. The fridge met my expectations. It was spacious and had a very large ice bin. The flaw to that was that it limited freezer space so we had to get a chest freezer for the rest of our food. I was still satisfied with it. It was a little spacey but we were able to get it in the spot where we wanted. If it were just a couple of centimeters thinner, I would have been more satisfied. I thought it was a little too expensive but we bought it anyway since it appeared to meet our expectations.

Apologies to those who have had positive experiences with their LG/Kenmore Elite fridges. Would recommend taking a look at LG complaints against similar Kenmore fridges, dating from purchases several years ago thru as recent as a few months ago. Buyer beware, based on my personal experience since purchasing same in 07/12. Purchased unit for over $3K, had repairs for upgrade within few months following purchase. Repairman warned that LG fridges are the most common callouts and replaced a rear baffle containing different cooling air-flow, along with the primary computer board.Worked fine for several more months, then experienced a common RF error on display. Found a repairman who graciously shared with me the process of removing all food from the fridge, unplugging same, and waiting 24 hours for defrosting ice that had built up in freezer compartment, then plugging the fridge back in and restocking it after confirming that the cooling was functioning correctly. This has been done 4 additional times before a mid Feb. 16 noise caught our attention. Contacted repairman, who said it sounded like the fan was rubbing on ice that had built up... So once again, food was removed, but this time the repairman came to investigate the fan damage. $330 later... including several days delay due to scheduled appointments, he added another defroster controller and yet a different air-flow panel than the first replacement. Fridge compartment and Freezer area were still working prior to these repairs...15 days later, noticed fan noise again, but this time there was no cooling in either fridge or freezer compartments. Unplugged fridge, removed food, while throwing a fair quantity away... Called repairman, he said to plug it back in and see how it works... Presently at that point, but have become increasingly cynical about this product and the remaining options. I am not a person sold on warranties, unfortunately, I hold the belief that there should be some portion of pride as products are built, along with a reasonable ability to stand behind them. Neither LG or Sears Customer service offers any additional support, aside from buying their warranties, similar in cost to my last repair bill, and with it a one year maintenance plan... The coverage is not very good and other plans around my area are similar in cost/return on investment.I searched the Consumer Affairs reporting against LG fridges in general and it is current with page after page of homeowners confirming worse experiences with service, and lack of any ownership regarding these issues... Yet LG is allowed to continue selling their products without any disruption to their financial income. There was mention of class action suit, but I notice those folks mentioning same were not allowed to visibly display their Email addresses. Being unfamiliar, and first time posting because of this blatant disregard for the consumers, I am uncertain of how much this posting will actually be edited out... LG fridges, in particular, and Sears, have a zero rating (even though I hesitated even applying 1 star due to CA requirements for publishing my comments) based on their lack of willingness to support what they have sold and admit the issues which have been reported by many customers. Again, buyer beware...

Have had for two years. Has wonderful climate control and space capacity is excellent, first fridge of this kind with freezer at bottom. It is a great feature to have and wont go back to side by side doors. Yes so far have not had any issues what so ever regarding storage capacity and are taking care of a family of four, the interchangeable shelves are another benefit thats adds value to this type of fridge freezer. The appearance of the fridge is a sleek design which also made it an attractive buy as it fit perfectly with our kitchen design, it is also easy to clean and maintain when it comes to hand prints. Considering size appearance and many stable shelving along with frost features it is a good value for price when considering all these aspects. Would not trade it for another model.

I have always own Kenmore refrigerator and love them. They last a long time. We go to the scratch and dent Sears and have never had a problem. The only problem is the water does not come fast out of the water dispenser. We have replace the ice maker and it was not hard to do.

Refrigerator worked well, no problems. Ice maker was especially nice during the hot weather and ice cream was kept frozen but not brick hard. Vegetable crispers kept veggies crisp and the temperature was constant without having to be adjusted all the time. It was the perfect size for my not too big, not too small kitchen. I would have preferred a bit more width in the freezer compartment for things like frozen pizza boxes, but I only had so much space and this refrigerator freezer was exactly what I needed. I myself am not a great fan of stainless steel appliances, but it was on sale and my ex-husband thought it would look nice. When it was delivered, he was so happy, he wanted to get all new appliances to match. Good mid-priced refrigerator and Kenmore was having a sale so we got a good price. I would have preferred something from a different manufacturer but my ex-husband had been brought up with Kenmore and since it was on sale, it was a decent value.

I loved the style and color, it was a perfect fit in my kitchen. It also was very functional as I had enough room inside to store all of my food and beverages. I also loved it kept my fruit and vegetables fresh and was perfect temperature for my freezer foods. It froze my foods but did not over freeze them in which no freezer burn. Very easy to keep clean as I have three kids and a husband. The different compartments made it helpful to keep different foods separated and plenty of room for taller items, milk, soda etc.
