For the home, kitchen and beyond, Kenmore manufactures appliances that homeowners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy appliance requires occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of Kenmore appliance repair from experienced professionals, your local Appliance Helper can help.
Kenmore Washer won't spin
Lid Switch Assembly. The lid switch assembly prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open. If the lid switch assembly fails, the washer will not spin. To determine if the lid switch assembly is defective, use a multimeter to test the lid switch for continuity. If the lid switch does not have continuity, replace it.
Kenmore Washer is making loud noise
Bearing. The tub bearing is mounted in the middle of the outer tub. The tub bearing helps to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. Replacing the tub bearing is a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer. If the tub bearing is defective, we recommend replacing both the outer tub and bearing.
Kenmore Washer won't agitate
Agitator Repair Kit. If the washer won't agitate, replacing the agitator repair kit may solve the problem. The kit contains the agitator components that are most likely to wear out and/or fail. If any of the parts are worn out, stripped, or damaged, replace the kit.
Kenmore Washer won't drain
Drain Pump. Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. To determine if anything is blocking the drain pump, remove the drain pump and check the pump for obstructions. If the drain pump is clear of obstructions, but is still noisy during the drain cycle, replace the drain pump.
Kenmore Washer vibrating or shaking
Shock Absorber. One or more of the shock absorbers might be broken or worn out. The shock absorbers dampen the vibration of the washer tub. If one or more of the shock absorbers are worn out, the washer will vibrate or shake. Sometimes, when a washer is moved to another location, the shock absorbers can separate. Check the shock absorbers to ensure that they are positioned correctly, and inspect them for damage and wear. If one or more of the shock absorbers are broken or worn out, we recommend replacing all of the shock absorbers as a preventative measure.
Kenmore Washer fills slowly or will not fill at all
Water Inlet Valve. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the washing machine. If the water inlet valve is defective, the wash may fill slowly or not fill at all. The water inlet valve requires sufficient water pressure to function properly. First, check the water pressure to determine that it is adequate. If the water pressure is adequate, try cleaning the screens inside the water inlet valve hose connection ports. If the washer still fills slowly, replace the water inlet valve.
Kenmore Washer leaking water
Drain Pump. The drain pump pumps water out the drain hose. If the drain pump is cracked or damaged, or if the bearings are worn out, the drain pump may leak water. The drain pump is not repairable—if the pump is leaking water, replace it.
Kenmore Washer won't start
Timer. The timer is frequently misdiagnosed—before replacing the timer, first check all of the more commonly defective parts. To determine if the timer is defective, consult your washer’s wiring diagram and use a multimeter to test the timer for continuity.
Kenmore Washer won't spin or agitate
Drive Belt. Inspect the drive belt to determine if it is broken or if it is loose on the pulleys. If the drive belt is broken or loose, replace it.

Never had an issues with performance. Gets my clothes clean with minimal effort. Very quiet in its operation. Very good value for the money. I am extremely happy with the quality the machine has. I have had this washer for the last six years. It replaced a older kenmore that was at least fifteen years old. I had never had an issue with either one. The reason it was replaced was a sale price I could not pass up. The design is a simple design. It is a basic washer but that is my style. Does not stand out but that is the reason I bought it. Very easy to keep clean. I bought over the summer during a Fourth of July sale. For my money it was the best value that I came across.
I feel the performance is great. As with all appliances they can break down but not very often but I still will get this product because its still very good. Its size is good for putting it in the washer pretty much anywhere in the house. I have mine in the basement and it works out well. Appearance is fine. I have no complaints. It gets what it has to do done so I would recommend this to anyone who wants one of these. In fact you can find a lot of models online. Great value for the money and I would recommend this to anyone who wants one of these.
This is my second Kenmore washer (mod. 110). After five years with the first one, it started wrapping clothes around the agitator and tearing them. So we bought another one (mod. 110). After five months, it is doing the same thing.
My washer stopped at or before the Spin cycle on a normal wash load with a SD (suds detected) error. I ran through the rinse and spin hoping to finish the load, no luck. Then took all the clothes out to run a clean washer cycle. This did not help nudge the machine back into entering a spin cycle on my next attempt at a normal wash load.I called Sears at the number provided on the washer manual. The service agent scheduled a repair visit and stepped right into selling me a $479 per year home warranty agreement which would supposedly cover all appliances in my home no matter their age or condition and only charge me $60 per service visit. I declined the offer. I searched the Internet and happened to find out that my washer had a recall on it for the exact same problem(s). I called the recall line 800-659-7026 and the agent promptly ordered me a new control board and a free replacement service. The next week, the service technician left me saying that the machine is operating properly. After he left, I tried a wash and the washer failed to spin. The service technician arrived again next week after I reported this and now found that the main bearing/shaft had deteriorated and needed replacement at a cost of $354. He charged me $94 because I declined the repair (which he would have done the following week anyway). I decided to buy a new washer instead. The washer is about 7 years old and I think this is rather short life for the expensive appliance that it is. Sears appeared to solve my problem by selling me a warranty instead of taking care of my immediate concern. At $479 a year, I can buy a new major appliance every year and not have to wait for Sears approval or fine print. So to summarize: 1. The washer has a very short life, 2. Sears customer service is very poor.
The washer is easy to use and has every function you could need. It effectively and efficiently cleans clothes and does the job. It can also fit everything needed and is easy to load. It is reliable and well made so worrying about issues is not necessary. All of the functions are easy to read so you can be sure you are doing what you want, too. Lastly, the washer is a good value. I got what I expected for the price that I paid. I would recommend this washer to others if they needed one.
It cleans my clothes amazingly well. It uses less water too. This washer is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a new washer. My washer is still going strong. No breaks. Ive had no problems with it yet and Im thinking that I will not have any for a long time. I rate this ten out of ten. This washer is beautiful. Sleek in design and wonderful to look at. Wouldnt have it any other way. Perfect and flawless designing. It is definitely worth the price. The price is so cheap compared to what it actually worth. I would pay thrice as much as I did for this washer, 20 times over. Keep it up.
I have a Kenmore Elite washer and the liquid bleach tub is getting rusted around the tub. When I called in for service, I was told that this was not covered under warranty, however, this seems to be a product defect. It will cost me a service call + additional charges for labor and parts. This is a product defect! Simple as that! I guess Kenmore does not stand by their product?
My Kenmore washer is a creamy white color like most washers and it is not super fancy looking but it is nice. Some minor issues and fails but its a good washer and worth the money you pay. We have had to get it fixed at least once since the water was not coming out hardly at all and the calcium deposits had built up as well. And sometimes the clothes do come out a bit soaked still so I guess it just does not spin right sometimes. But other than that it seems to work fine. It still does what it is supposed to and washes clothes fine.
We bought a new Kenmore Elite Top Loading Washer 31522 in July of 2014. We noticed that the machine often generated a UE error and we had to redistribute the clothes. But it got where we could not even wash a load of sheets without having to redistribute the load 3 o 4 times. Sometimes just hit Drain and Spin just to complete the load. Even though Consumer Reports usually discourage buying an extended warranty we did buy one for 3 years. We called for a service rep to repair. On the day he arrived I had used my neighbors one year old Maytag which was very similar to mine and had zero problems with getting my laundry done. He said this would not happen with the Maytag b/c Maytag is made in USA and Kenmore is now made by LG in Korea. The repair man said he has to completely rebuild the machine and cost for labor and parts (8 parts) will be $1500.00. The machine costs $700.00. Why would Sears approve a $15000 repair that could buy 2 new machines? I told him that I have to use a laundromat frequently which gets to be expensive and very inconvenient. He said the parts he would be delivered and he would return in 9 days. Sears called on day 8 to cancel appt and left a number to reschedule. When I called to reschedule they said it was b/c their records indicate that all the parts were not delivered but I told her that UPS did deliver 5 additional boxes. I got an automatic call about an hour later saying I was the first appt for the next day between 10 and 12. No one came or called. I called and was told that it was cancelled and needed to be rescheduled b/c their records again indicated that we did not have the tub. We had to go through each piece we already received to confirm. The 3rd appt was made for a week later. We are still awaiting the delivery of the inner tub assembly from LG and fear that we will have to again reschedule. I called the sales agent who sold us the washer and asked for his assistance in getting a new machine. I was told that the only person who can decide if the machine can be condemned is the repairman. This does not seem right to me. Why would we ask the repairman who can charge for the repair be the one to decide if the machine should be fixed? Especially when repairs will be way more that the price of a new machine. I think we have a lemon. He was supposed to talk with his manager and get back to us but then heard nothing. I called again and he said his boss will contact us. Again heard nothing. I called again and had to leave a msg for the boss. The boss left a VMX saying he could not replace the machine, but have to wait for the repairman. I am very unhappy with the machine and especially with Sears.
The washer was amazing no matter what kind of stain I had, the washer would always get it out - grass stains, food stains, any kind of stain it would always come out. The washer help all of our clothes. I have four kids. I did laundry once a week. I did it all and three loads. We used to have a smaller washer. It took me five loads to do all the laundry. The washer was white. It was very sleek and stylish. It was very easy to keep clean the buttons and dials on the washer were well displayed and marked with very legible labels. The washer ran great. We never had any problems with it until it finally broke down but that happened after we had the washer for over 10 years. It was worth every penny we paid for it.
This washer has had a much larger workload than I intended when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago (7 adults), and it is still as quiet and reliable as the day I hooked it up. And with all the setting levels available, it has always done an outstanding job of actually getting our construction-worker clothes clean as new. Has done an average of eleven loads a week for 2 1/2 years and still runs and cleans like new: even for the three of us construction workers, two car mechanics, and two ladies in the house. Its appearance is modern, but without looking like an airliner cockpit with all those confusing lights and controls that youll never use. After 2 1/2 years of washing for seven adults without a single breakdown, it still performs like new. I think weve already got our moneys worth out of it.
Kenmore Elite Washer delivered in 8/2013. From day one it would stop mid cycle. Oct. 2014 got so fed up babysitting it to make sure it finished that I called for repair. Person said it was a common problem. Tightened wash plate and then sold me a Protection agreement. He said call whenever happens again. Feb 2015, they came out again for same problem. He said I had to ensure I only put like clothes together and that really it isnt a washer for just two people! He also decided to adjust one leg on the washer as he thought that may be an issue also. For the past two weeks, it has started not finishing cycles again, even though I have made sure I only wash like products together, ie jean only, towels only, sheets only, etc. Painful when there are only two of us. After babying this machine all day yesterday, I ran the clean washer cycle. It took three starts and stops. I then tried to do a drain spin to at least get the water out. This morning, I called the repair number for them to come out. This is now the third time on this machine. They are dispatching tech by end of week. 5 days for it to sit with water in it. She also told me to call the Protection Dept. to see if anything they can do. So in the meantime, I have a washer sitting here with water in it. She said to unplug it, let it sit for a minimum of 40 seconds and then try the drain spin again (which I did try twice last night). I will give it a try while I wait for the PA dept. to pick up as they are very busy, according to the recording.
I had it for about 5 years, it was good quality and did a good job of cleaning. It was easy to use and the buttons were not confusing. In the 5 years that I have owned it I havent had any issues. It did stink for a short while, but I cleaned it out with vinegar and lemon. It like a regular washer, nothing out of the ordinary. Easy to use and straightforward buttons and directions. The color was average for a washer. Good value, I like Kenmore. It is a little more expensive but maintains its quality. I would buy it again. The price is good for the washer.
I love Kenmore Washers. They do their jobs perfectly and better than any other appliance Ive owned. Theyre highly dependable. They last an extremely long time. They have been around for a long time and I highly recommend them for anyone who wants a high quality appliance from this company.
I thought I would never have good smelling towels again and the washer did the trick. It can really hold a lot of clothing inside. Overall very happy with it. Its performance is long lasting. This washer is very reliable I can always count on it to wash all of my heavy loads of clothing exactly when I need it. I hardly ever have any technical issues with it. This washer has a generally attractive appearance. When I originally bought this washer it was on sale and I think I am satisfied with the value of it. The warranty is great and its worth the money to have fresh smelling clothes.
I bought this washer a year ago and wish I could drop it off a cliff. It does not fill or clean well. I have to add water and run through deep fill cycles again (how does that save water)? Pant legs, sleeves, etc get tangled up in knots when spinning. Help! What have other done about this piece of garbage???
It was very dependable when I had it. I had no problems with it from what I recall. It worked at all times and cleaned the clothes well. It wasnt too noisy but it did its job. I would expect a hassle free product from Sears since the expectation is that it would be very reliable and competitively priced product.
The products are user friendly. They also dont break easy and last a long time. My washer is very good at washing which it is its job. My clothes come out clean. Both products are energy/Eco friendly.
Very reliable. We bought them several years ago and have had no problems and our clothes are very clean. They are also stackable and a great and very quiet space saver. When we bought them they at a very reasonable price and feel that they will last a very long time. We will definitely purchase Kenmore again when the time comes.
Excellent washing machine. Many features with plenty of cycles. Had it for 11 years and have has no trouble. Never been serviced. Its an e machine which saves water and power. If it broke down today, I would buy another.
I have leveled my fairly new Kenmore 600S top load washer so many times. I can’t stand it anymore. I have never had a washing machine that couldn’t stay on balance like this one. It can’t possibly be the sheets, can it? Every load that has sheets, no matter how many, it cannot spin without bouncing all over the place. Forget about pillows, light blankets and towels. Maybe this is a problem for all HE top loaders but it never ever happened with my front loader or agitator. All of which were Kenmore.
This washer has had the control panel replaced and has been leaking for three months. It started making weird noises this week and is pouring water. Repairman said it is a default causing the tube to be worn and a hole in the tube. He has seen several of these but Sears refused to repair. Sears repair hung up on me three times.
Kenmore front-loader washer model 41262 - It uses a lot less water than our old washer which dumped in about 5 gallons of water whereas this washer doesnt operate in a pond of water but merely moistens the clothes as it tumbles them. Wash quality is excellent. Its as quiet as a sewing machine almost. Huge front door makes it easy to wash small rugs. Sears had it on sale for about $550 and that felt good. Stainless tub that wont rust my clothes. High speed spin gets things almost dry right there in the washer.
Worked well for my big family. I do laundry about three times a week and this washer fulfilled my familys needs. I didnt have many issues. When I did, Sears fixed it. I still have this washer. Very reliable. Never ever had any issues. Ive had other machines that gave us a ton of problems. This machine isnt one. I recommend it for big families like ours. Very pretty or fit in our small laundry room. But it fit big loads of laundry. I would definitely buy more products from this company. I was able to fit my king size comforter in this washer. It was surely worth the money. I had a more expensive washers. That didnt work as well. This one is one of the expensive ones, but its awesome, came with a great warranty.
I love my washing machine, it has been very dependable. In the future I probably would not buy a front loader again because of having to leave it open always. Sadly to say I do not even know if a person is still able to purchase a Kenmore machine.
My Kenmore appliance is so great. It is very reliable and Ive never needed to have a repair done on this appliance. Also, this Kenmore washer is very quiet! It is also very roomy and the appliance itself seems very sturdy. I would recommend a Kenmore Washer to anyone who is looking for an appliance. Also, this Kenmore was bought back in the late 90s and it still works perfectly as long as I clean it properly every few months to keep it going.
Washer works well, gets clothes clean, have had no mechanical problems, satisfied with the features available, energy and water efficient, able to purchase at a good price. Would recommend this washer. I have found this washer to be very reliable and have had no repair issues. It gets my clothes very clean and I have had no problems in that regard. The capacity is satisfactory and meets my family of 4 needs in every way. I have been very happy with the modern appearance of this washer. It complements my decor and works well in my laundry room. The visible features are user-friendly and work well. While this was a more expensive washer to start, I have found the water and energy efficiency more than make up for the initial higher cost and I am pleased with the overall savings.
I love the capacity of this washer. Its not too loud and Ive never had a problem with it. It is economical, competitively priced, and easy to use. I love that it has a pre-wash setting for soaking extra-soiled items. I love this washers large capacity. I can easily do a weeks worth of laundry in just 2 or 3 loads. Its sturdy construction makes it easily handle even my large blankets and comforters without any trouble. I dont have a separate laundry room but this machines modern, streamlined appearance and the fact that it is so easy to clean makes it an attractive addition to my kitchen area. The moderate price of this washer and its solid construction make it a great value and a wise and excellent investment. Its price is easily paid off in the first few months of use.
Its a great machine. I really think it runs good and is one of the best machines Ive owned. I would tell my friends and family about it. Id get another if I need to buy one. Runs and washes great. I really like the way it works and runs. Very stylish. I like the way it looks and the way its made. I like the color of it. I find it very nice. It was a fair price for the brand. I think I got a fairly good deal. I would buy another if this one messed up and I would tell my friends about it.
Kenmore 600 series washer - The worst washer I have ever owned, does not get things clean, they smell, they are still dirty, it should be recalled. I will not buy Kenmore ever again. I feel that I was taken advantage of by the sales staff. Sears should be ashamed and should offer a refund on this product.
The washers performance is extremely fast and washes clothes thoroughly. The reliability of this washing machine is really excellent. I can fit two of my usual old loads of laundry into one load now and it cuts my laundry time literally in half and I highly recommend this washing machine. The appearance of this machine is appropriate for what a washing machine would look like. It goes well with my other appliances in my kitchen and I am always getting wonderful comments on how quiet the machine is. The value of this washing machine is above appropriate for the price. Compared to other washing machines this product is highly affordable. It is truly amazing.
I bought a new Kenmore washer 7/2011. It will not rinse in the normal and heavy duty cycles but rinses normally in the casual cycle. The repairman was prompt and knowledgeable – no complaints there but he told me that was what the washing machine was programmed to do. So, I am only able to wash laundry on the casual cycle in this new machine. Someone, please explain that to me! I will never buy another one from Sears!
Clothes do not stay white. There is not enough water to clean. Mold started almost immediately on the rubber lining. I was told to leave the door open after each wash! Something new and white only lasts a few weeks before it turns grey. We have a water softener so our water is pure. I have you use very little soap in this newly designed washer. The printing came off the front panel after a few months. It is not covered under warranty. I can’t wait to get rid of this machine. Alas, all washers are made the same.
My wife and I bought both Washer and Dryer on 10/20/11 and the washer had a recall and every scene they came out and did whatever they had to things have been crazy - the washer always gets out of balance. The other day the tub hit the front shell of the washer, it is a piece of scrap that should of went to a scrap yard for junk. The recall was for reprogram control unit.
I purchased a Sears Kenmore HE washer 110.2613. I read everything I could get my hand on about HE washers. Here is what I learned from experience and then confirmed by the washer technician. The amount of water the washer uses is regulated by federal energy use standards. So your new HE washers may have lots of choices, dials, and lights but it will only use the maximum allowed by these regulations. Normal, casual, delicate change only slightly by length of time washed and water temp. Might as well have one button. Most HE washers dont have an actual rinse cycle. It sprays the soap off the clothes! The washer will mix hot and cold water so that the water temperature never exceeds the regulated temperature. True hot water wash is impossible.. You better flush out the bleach dispenser or you will find white bleached dots on clothes in another cycle.A WORK AROUND. Use a fraction of the detergent (2 TABLESPOONS). Never use pods or you will find plastic bits stuck on your clothes. Powder detergent never dissolves completely. Wash everything in BULKY BEDDING or WHITES. Thats the only way to get a decent amount of water. DO NOT use fabric softener but ALWAYS choose the fabric softener button. Why? You actually get some rinse water not just spritzing for the rinse. If available, use 2 rinse cycles. If available use Deep Fill. Be prepared to take twice or three times more time to get your laundry done. Its 1.45 hr to wash one load. If your household has very dirty clothes as in construction workers, I suggest you go down to the river and beat them against rocks. You will get better results than with any HE washer.
While the Elite Front Load washer is a step up from our old front end, the requirement to drain water out of the bottom of the washer is ridiculous. Even when drained as much as possible it retains a smelly Odor that is transferred to clothing. This needs to be solved in future models. We purchased in 2016 so ask if this is still an issue.
I have model #11026132411 and when I wash my dark clothes they come out with white stains on them that are impossible to clean unless I wash my clothes in my daughters Whirlpool machine. I tried cleaning the machine, but that doesnt help!!! I am so frustrated... Another problem with this machine is that you cant modulate the water level. I am VERY disappointed in this machine. I bought a Kenmore because of Sears reputation.
I have had bad experiences with Whirlpool washers in the past. Less than five years ago, we decided to purchase a new washer since our two-year old Whirlpool washer was giving us endless problems. We purchased a Kenmore Elite from Sears. We did not know that our washer was actually a Whirlpool washer. We have started with the same problems with this washer as we did with our Whirlpool washer. I just learned that our machine was actually manufactured by Whirlpool. I was told by Kenmore that other Kenmore Elite washing machines were recalled with the same problem, but does not include my model.I was transferred to so many different places, including Maytag (why Maytag?) to try to resolve my problem. If my machine is having the same problem as those other models that were recalled, there is a great chance that mine should be included in the recall. I never got to speak to the right department. The repair is costing me half of what I would have to pay for a new one. Now, I dont know where to go to get a reliable washing machine. I thought that paying a descent amount was going to give me a descent working machine. I believe that disclosing the manufacturer on appliances should be required because not everything that shines is gold. A reliable brand on the outside is not always what you get on the inside!
I purchased my Kenmore Heavy-Duty washer and dryer set the next week available after I got married in Feb 1976 (seventy-six). That makes it about mid-March 1976. Here now in Jan 2020 I can truthfully say that I never had one speck of trouble from the set until now when the washer stopped draining. Having a Sears repairman respond to fix the problem revealed that it cannot be repaired. I must now try to find another Kenmore Washer. Admittedly, I did not use it on any routine regularity and once not used at all when in an apartment without a hookup for a couple years. But, I suspect I won't need it to last as many as 44 more years since I'm now 73 years old. It worked just great for me!
I bought an $800 High Efficiency, 4.8 cf capacity washer (Paid $569.00 on sale and it some of the worst money spent) to wash the blankets I make. The machine rolls them into mushrooms and dumps any dirt, hair, etc. on top in a ring. Uses so little water that even on deep fill the clothes are NEVER covered with water. Socks come out looking like they were just worn. I have to spray all socks or they dont get even partly clean. Wont get sweat out unless you use an additive and if you use more than 1/8th cup of detergent, the machine will run for hours. The only way to get water to cover the clothes is to add it. I have to pour three gallons of water in if I want clean clothes. Sears repairman said many of his customers keep a bucket by the machine to add water. There is no deep fill for permanent press or half the other cycles so permanent press is never really clean. DONT ever use bleach as it stays in the washer and ruins the following loads. You cant re-spin if it doesnt get the clothes dry enough, without using a rinse cycle.Quite an experience if it goes out of balance. Getting it to stop spinning means stopping the machine, waiting for the door to unlock and dodging the machine as it takes time to respond. By the way, unless you buy a service contract, if Sears decides its working properly, you have to pay per the Department head at the Sears I bought the machine from. Avoid at all costs. Keep the old one running until you cant buy parts.
The front load washing machine is hard to keep clean. Lint and other debris gets trapped in the door seal and smells. Even though the door is wiped every time and the magnet is used (so the door doesn’t close fully) it still stinks. My towels always smell sour once they get wet again. I don’t think this is a Kenmore issue. I think it’s front loaders in general. My next washer will not be a front loader.
Worked great. Lasted years but I had to leave it when I moved states away. To me Kenmore is the best in the market, exceptional in performance. Top of the washers. There are only two of us in our household. My fiance gets his clothes dirty and the Kenmore gets the clothes really clean and fresh. It is a washer that does a great job. Looks modern in looks. Its innovative in washing machines. I like the top loader because its easy to load. Does the wash perfectly. Looks great in the laundry room. The price is affordable to all. It last many years so it is worth the price. I bought mine many years ago and it works as good as when I first bought it.
The performance is great. They made this washer with the best and top quality in mind. There are so many different settings to choose from and they perform great. This washer is super reliable. It can literally fit a ton of clothes, or even my whole comforter and all the bed sheets together. Its such a great washing machine. The appearance is absolutely wonderful. It looks sleek and shiny and so up to date with the trends today. Its modern and has great technology. I just love this washing machine so much. The value isnt bad at all for this washing machine. You honestly get what you pay for. Its not priced bad at all. But you definitely will be happy with it.
Our machine is an older model, but it handles everything I pack it with! When its time to replace it, I will definitely consider the company. My clothing comes out clean, and the songs are straightforward.
We purchased a Kenmore Elite washer 7-4-11. It was not much trouble in the first few months but I always had to make sure I did a large load or the machine would constantly be out of balance. Recently, I got a safety recall on the machine recently. I had the repairman out to install the update necessary. He has been out three times now and my problems have grown to the point of no return. I am totally unhappy with this machine and your update. As soon as I can get money saved up, it is out of my sight and being replaced with a different brand. You have got to be kidding if you think people are not going to drive you crazy with complaints. If you do a light load, it goes through 3 or 4 Rinse cycles and is constantly out of balance. It now takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours to do a small load of laundry and you call that efficient! I stay at home so I am able to stand over the stupid thing, but for working people, it will be a nightmare. My advice is to stay away from any Kenmore Elite. It sucks!
We bought a Kenmore 600 series early in 2018 after selling our home and leaving the wonderful 22 year old Maytag washing machine behind. What a mistake. This new Sears product is the epitome of young people not thinking through what they are trying to accomplish. To be more specific, these HE machines are designed to save water. But they do not clean clothes because the water level is too low. How is that an improvement? And what if you bump the power button by mistake... Out goes the water. How ridiculous. Often our clothes are left with detergent residue from not getting dissolved and we have to wash them again. Weve used more water. What I have found useful when washing clothes is to pause the machine and add a few gallons of water, let it spin a few minutes to get the soap to disperse with the added water, then pause the machine again and literally unplug the machine and allow the clothes to soak an hour or so dependent on the degree of stains. If I could bring back my old Maytag I would but that deal is done. Engineers, and I use that word lightly, have screwed the pooch.
After I wash my clothes its clean enough and dries very quick. After I dried it I folded it very easily. Im satisfied with the results of my laundry. No hassles for me and my husband.
The washer was very nice while it lasted. But then once it stopped working it was past the fixing it point. I dont think I would recommend it after all is said and done. Dissatisfied with the reliability. It was a very pretty washer. It was nice and sleek and clean looking inside and out. Very satisfied with the appearance of all things. Looked great with other appliances in my home. I am a little dissatisfied because the washer didnt last long. It stopped working and would have cost an arm and a leg to fix. Was not worth the money I spent on it.
Shortly after the one year warranty expired on our Kenmore 400 Washer (Model:29422801), it began tearing holes in items. The washer seems to enjoy eating jeans, boxer shorts, shirts, my wifes bras, and our blankets. After 14 months, the washer no longer functions as it was described. I tried to reach out to the manufacturer but to no avail.
Bought my top load washing machine with matching dryer 11 years ago and have never had any issues with it. My 19 year old grandson does his own laundry too and figured out all the features on his own.
You can put in a large load of laundry and feel confident that it will come out clean. The HE saves on laundry detergent and water. I like the features for whites, especially since I clean whites for my work clothes. I have never had a problem with any Kenmore washer. The brand has always been reliable. I wash large loads of linens, clothes and I can always count on them to come out clean. I like the color. Its not bulky and looks pretty slim compared other brands. The control panel is simple to use. Not confusing to operate. Kenmore washers are a good value. The price is a high selling point. There are other washers out there with a lot of bells and whistles but the quality isnt as good as a Kenmore.
I have had this washer for over 10 years and have never had a problem with it. I would buy this brand again and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a washer. The washer fits all my needs. I like that you can pick the size of the load of clothes that you are going to wash and they always come out clean. This washer looks very nice but it is a plain white. I wish that the Kenmore washer like this brand came in colors like the more expensive ones. This washer was well worth what I paid for it and if it broke down tomorrow it would not owe me a cent.
The Kenmore washer cleaned clothing properly and operated in a quieter tone than some other washers I have owned. I never had issues with colors bleeding and was very happy with the performance of the machine. The machine looked very sleek, too. I have had other washing machines that had issues with the beeping when the cycle was finished, but no issues with this one. And it also fit the color scheme of my laundry room as well as it fit perfectly under my laundry room counter. I paid what I expected for a washing machine of such quality.
Its a good washer and has last many years. It has never broke down and never given me any problems. It does a good job cleaning so I like it very much. It has fit all of my problem since I have had this washer. It is strong and really does a good job cleaning my and my familys clothes so it has been good to me and has done its job good. The look of this washer is very nice. It sets up well and does not move. I like the way it looks and it fits all of the things around the house. It cost a little more than I thought it would but it has paid for itself many time over so I really can not complain about the price of this washer.
This washer has been an excellent addition to our appliances. It hasnt had any problems and washes perfectly. Ive been very pleased with the washer overall. I highly recommend this washer in terms of its reliability. We have owned it for more than five years and so far had no significant problems with it. I am satisfied with the washer in terms of its appearance. It isnt the most flashy, but its on the laundry room so its not really a big deal. Ive felt that this washer has been a good value for us. We have had no issues with the reliability and for us that is the most important thing.
Its a very good washer. Very strong and well made. I really like it. Its been a very good one made strong and to last. Id buy another if I needed to. Great service. Its long lasting and does a great job on washing your laundry. It was made by a good company and has last me a while now. Id buy the same brand if I needed to. Very stylish, fits in with my home decor, just the perfect color and design. They make their product nice and appealing. I love the way they make them. Very good value, not real expensive. Its a good price for something that does a great job. I would suggest everyone give them a try. I think I got a fair deal on mine.
I had bought very expensive towels and it took only washing them 4 times and they were shredding and falling apart. Then my washer frequently has uneven loads so often I will get frustrated and just go to the laundromat. I dont understand my parents have the same one and theirs does not do either one of these. Why???
It cleans pass expectation, timing is good and no problems -I truly dont have any other comments to make concerning this washer, except that it works and Im glad I made a purchase for this machine, with so many other choices I could have made, glad I chose this one.
Kenmore 3.5 cu ft. top load washer. Brand loyalty from previous appliances was the reason for the purchase. Had the washer for 8 months, and theres NOTHING to like about it. It rarely puts in more than 3 inches of water, so the clothes are just rubbing against themselves causing pilling, twisting, and tangling. Sheets and long sleeves are always so twisted in knots you have to stand there and untangle. (With shirts this means ironing is usually required.) And, do we really know how clean anything is if all its doing is rubbing against other pieces? It reminds me of women banging their clothes on rocks at a stream. Yes, there is a setting called Deep Wash which puts in 5 inches or less of water, (measured with the wet clothing also in the machine) and clothes still spend all their time rubbing against each other. This is Not due to over-loading, as I rarely have more than half or two-thirds of a tub-load of dry items. The setting called Bedding or Bulky, eventually, after 10 minutes of spinning, and occasionally adding a bit more water, gets enough water in to keep the clothes from rubbing against each other, but by that time the cycle is mostly finished and the clothes and/or towels have spent the majority of the wash cycle just being banged against each other. But this cycle does not spin the clothes very dry, and so sometimes with jeans or towels you need to go back and turn it on again to an additional spin cycle. After using the machine for awhile I now know the salesperson knew nothing about how it actually worked. For me it has added LOTS more work by having to go back and add a additional cycle, by now requiring ironing of mens shirts; and for having to separate and hand-wash knits, sweaters and delicate items as they cannot be included in a regular wash, but are way too few for their own cycle.
I have always had a Kenmore washer. They are very reliable & durable. Service from Sears is also reliable plus trustworthy. Prices are good, compared to Maytag or GE. I prefer Kenmore over all other brands. Kenmore offers top loading, front loading & compact units for smaller spaces. Sears stores are available in many areas, that carry Kenmore products.
It is very quiet and it dries my laundry in no time especially when I have different sizes of clothes, all are dried according without I having to restart the drying process. Overall, l would recommend this product because it is very efficient, effective and dependable. I definitely like the fact that it dries your clothes effectively without burning out the colors. It is very reliable and I would recommend it to my family and friends. The appearance is very simple and the directions are clear and concise. It has a user-friendly appearance for everyone. It is really an awesome product. I like it. The price was quite affordable at the time and I got it while it was on sale. However, I think the general price tag is reasonable now compared to other similar products in this category.
My top load Kenmore Elite Washing machine is 4 years old and has been rusting for the last 2 years. I finally decided to check into replacing the top and I found out it will cost over $350. This is absolutely ridiculous!! In 40 years I have NEVER had a washing machine rust! I will never buy a Kenmore product again!
Great washer, never had any complaints after 12 years of ownership! I would highly recommend purchasing this brand or Kenmore Elite. I found the key (start/stop) buttons to be very easy to maneuver and is very easy to clean inside and outside.
I purchase this washer about 3-4 years ago and the problem of rust is getting worst. The rust started after 1 year on the lid then it accelerated to inside and now the rust stays on most of the clothes I wash. When we look inside with a flashlight, we see that inside is all rusted and peeling off. I have a baby coming. When I tried to wash the babys clothes the rust stays on the clothes and its hard to take out. I had to rewash them by hand. Im really frustrated since we follow the manual very well to take care of this machine. I cant believe this will happen to a 3-4 years old washer since my mom is currently using a Maytag for over 10 years and it still works fine without rust. I hope to have it repair by Sears as soon as possible.
It was given to me as a gift. It was used previously from a family member and lasted a long time. It was very quiet and the load cycle finished quickly. It was a very reliable washer and it lasted a very long time. I never really had any problems with it and I recommend it to my friends and family. Its appearance was really nice and it didnt take up much room. It was easy to clean and kept a clean new look after a little cleaning now and then. It was a reasonable price for the quality of the washer and was worth every penny it cost. I was completely satisfied with the value of the washer.
We bought the Kenmore Elite 29272, the day after Thanksgiving in 2010. We are now on the second main control board in ten months. Both times, the part has been back ordered and Sears has called the day before our appointment to reschedule. In both cases, they put the situation in our hands to track the part and then call them once we have the part in hand to not waste their time. What about our time? Each occurrence has lasted a month. This means the washer has only been in use 8 of the 10 months we have had it. I think they were trying to draw out the time so it falls out of warranty. The customer service department term used loosely is extremely rude. This is an outsourcing issue as there is no culpability with the product or support. The customer service person had the gall to indicate that if we feel that strongly about how bad the product is, to write the CEO. This is actually not a bad idea, though it will be intercepted long before reaching the intended source. Once the warranty fails, we are tempted to use the National Tire & Battery plan with Sears. Anyone that has seen the commercial, understands to throw the product through the plate glass window. Then, we will get a new washer that will not be a Kenmore (actually, a re-branded LG). Koreans.
I have owned this Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washing machine for 6 years and we had a recall on the machine 3 years ago - after years of the machine stopping because of UL unbalanced load. With this recall, they replaced the computer memory board. However, my machine is doing the same thing again. Sears has sent a repairman that would not even open the lid on the machine to see the problem. He ran a diagnostic test on the machine and said that he had no idea what the problem was. I called Sears repair and they assured me they would repair my machine. However, when the next repairman was on his way to my house, he also had no idea what the problem was with my machine. When I explained the situation, he had no direction on how to repair my machine. Is anyone else having the same problem? I do realize that I have purchased my last Kenmore product and anything from Sears!
I am completely dissatisfied with the Kenmore Washer I purchased in September 2013. It tangles and twists my clothes even on the delicate cycle. It does not clean our clothes well at all. I have to wash our underwear twice. I have to constantly reset it to wash our towels and bedding. I have also noticed rust around the edges of my bleach fill. The softener does not empty correctly. I have called sears for help many times since we have the Kenmore connect. They can never seem to help me. Many of the reps dont even know what Kenmore connect is. We keep getting error code LE. I was told this error means something is wrong with my motor. I hope not since we have only had it for 3 years. The dry is loud. It didnt start that way. I have no positive comments. This machine cost a lot. I had a Maytag prior to this machine that worked wonderfully for 12 years.
Without an agitator the clothes do not come clean. Dah, I should have thought of that before I bought it, I know an appliance repair guy that his wife even got rid of her agitatorless machine. Thats how bad they are.
Kenmore Series 600 - I should have returned the machine after the first day of using it, but now I am stuck it with. It is the worst washing machine Ive ever owned. I feel like sending a bill to Kenmore for all the clothes this thing has ruined. It does not wash clothes. It sprinkles water on them and takes over an hour for one load to finish. No matter what setting I put it on, it does not get the clothes wet at all. My clothes now stink, my sheets are filthy, and everything is wrinkled. I am going to take this thing to the dump and go back to the laundromat.
This product value worths its price, it is easier and faster, no more stress of doing dirty job yourself and if you are tired of stressing yourself go for it. You wont make any regret purchasing the product. It is durable and it works faster than many healthy men can do and this will save your time, money and energy. The washer is beautiful and unique, and eye catching. It has enough space to clean and dry your clothes, no stain and no destruction of your cloth and it is very good. The amount you spent to get it, you are not going to regret this since you will enjoy the product more than what you pay to acquired the product.
Kenmore does NOT participate to monitor feedback on ConsumerAffairs and resolve your issues. Sears should monitor feedback on ConsumerAffairs. My 2 year old top washer sounds like a jet engine on spin cycle and is tearing small holes in my t-shirts. Now it stopped pumping water out of the drain cycle. I am done with Sears and their crappy quality. I was brought up on Sears. No wonder they are fighting for survival. Selling junk to cut corners for profit will eventually catch up with them.
It does not clean very well. It also stopped working multiple times. It leaked water consistently as well. Sometimes it would make very loud beating noises as it was spinning. It would work when it wanted to. About half of the time it would not work. It was always being repaired. It was not a very good machine. It looked like any other washer out there. But it was lacking in options to choose from. However, it did have the basics in order to get the job done. It did not cost any less than most other brands. I feel that if I had spent the same amount on another brand, that I would have a working machine.
I bought it used and had it for 2 years before it stopped drying my clothes. After about a year and a half it started taking more time to get the clothes dry. A month or so later it was not drying them hardly at all. Up until then it worked pretty good, especially for being 7 to 8 yrs old.
Kenmore 600s is garbage. Would give zero stars if I could. This washer twists your clothes so bad they are stretched and ruined. I’ve tried all the scenarios given by Kenmore and same thing. If you do a deep fill it will cut down on twist but clothes don’t agitate and come out just as dirty as they went in but now just wet. Deep fill negates the water saving feature claimed by kenmore. If you run a normal wash with same clothes, 10 tee shirts, the shirts on the top just sit there and don’t agitate through the wash. Then I was told that’s too big a load. Really??!! So I can only wash 5 tee shirts at a time, at 1hr intervals, to keep from twisting and get them washed with the water saving feature you advertise?? To date I’m out over $400 in clothes due to twisting and the extravagant price for a defective product. It’s out of warranty and kenmore won’t help. Have had it over two years and I’m done. Goodbye Kenmore, you have lost this customer for life. Your product is getting sent to metal scrap because I won’t even donate this problem to another victim.
I purchased this washer based on Consumer Reports and other recommendations. I have had nothing but problems with this washer. Been a little over a year since new and had Sears techs out 3 times. Water leaks out of the overflow valve on the back and floods the floor. Tech says to use low suds detergent which I do. We cannot wash more than 4 towels at a time. Must use a minimal amount of detergent. Can hardly use any detergent when washing sheets and blankets as it goes out the overflow valve onto the floor. Sears tech says its the way the machine is made. Im ready to dump this washer and get something else which is a shame as I have all Kenmore appliances and have always bought Kenmore for the past 40 years. Sears needs to do something about the design of this washer.
It was bought new and it worked very well. I have owned many different washers over the years and the Kenmore did a better job of spinning out all the water than any of the others. I also liked that it had a lot of settings as far as temperature and type of load.
Kenmore washer model # 21102010. Only lasted 5 years. After it stopped going to the next stage of washing, repairman states that 2 parts need replacing... $360.00... I will never buy a Kenmore appliance.
Model# 79631512210 - We purchased this Elite Washer from Sears approx. 2 years ago... Has been nothing short of a major pain in the A$$. This was set up by Sears technician on delivery, was set up level in all planes... No matter how small or how large the loads are, we can never get a load to successfully wash on the first try... Constantly get the UE error code, and have to play around with the laundry repeatedly to get the darn thing to finish a load. It should not have to take 3 to 4 hours to wash 1 load of laundry. Running up and down the stairs constantly, and wondering if the washing machine is working or not every single time we use it is not acceptable. Kenmore Washers, I know there are numerous people having the same problems with this model.. Please reach out to me if there is a recall, or if this can be replaced directly from you. Thank You.
Please, DO NOT buy this washer no matter how cheap in price you find it. It continues to add minutes to the wash where it takes 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours PER wash. Clothes comes out with white streaks that look like powder detergent is stuck on them when I use only liquid detergent. Water saver means not enough water to cover the clothes. The deep fill option is only available at some settings as for bulk loads. Even using this setting some clothes come out dry. I will never purchase a machine water saver or without an agitator because the clothes don’t circulate. This is a piece of 800.00 junk. I would love to throw it out and buy a simple washer that works faster and gets clothes clean. Please, do not buy it or you too will be writing a negative review and be angry at yourself for thinking those other negative reviews were maybe customers not using the machine properly and maybe adding too much detergent. When in reality the machine is a piece of crap.
Purchased top load washing machine (Kenmore Elite Washing Machine) with glass top lid Oct 30, 2018. Exploded April 6... then again one week after it was fixed... April 25... Still waiting on a replacement 2 weeks later. Sears warranty tell us they never heard of this, judging by item being back ordered and multiple other reviews I’ve read THIS IS A PROBLEM!!! BUYER BEWARE! MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE!!!
It worked well at first and then the inside drum came loose from the frame. It started leaving white material all over cloths from the lining or glue that held drum in place. Water was coming out all over our floor. Was satisfied until it broke. Parts were too expensive to repair it so had to buy another washer instead and did not buy the same brand washer. I love the look and front load door. It was pretty dark, red colored, and still looked new when it broke down. Loved how easy it was to control. Not happy with the perceived value because parts were priced so high that its not worth it to fix or repair them. You are better off buying a new one.
Purchased $779 Kenmore Elite Washer model #29272000 in April 2011. In April 2013 sent a letter directly to Sears to complain about the rust all around the bleach dispenser. Did not receive any response. Now, a year later, the rust is far worse. I know from reading online comments, this has been a problem for years and Sears didnt figure out how to stop it and continued to sell this faulty product. The problems with this machine do not end with the rust. We suffer daily with the brutal wash cycle that ruins clothes, does not wash jeans and blankets without the UE error requiring constant adjustment to get the loads done, and bleach residue dispensing when you dont want it to so darks are spotted with white spots. It is bothersome that this expensive appliance is such a sad example of Kenmore and the fact that even though they knew it was a mess, it still was sold for years without correcting any of the problems. I was a faithful Sears consumer and yet now have no interest in a future dealing with them. I want a washer that doesnt harm my clothes AND isnt rusting after only a few years.
Kenmore 600s series from Sears - This washer was highly recommended by be salesman. We paid more than we wanted but wanted a good quality washer. I regret ever buying this washer. We are a household of 7 and it is frustrating that the clothes do not even get wet when they are being washed and nothing ever smells clean. Please do your research before investing good money and not getting what you pay for.
I purchased the Kenmore Washer 100 series 4 month ago and I simply hate it. It has a supposed sensor for the water level and this is useless. It works for a very small load but even when the washer is only half full it does not add enough water. Yesterday I washed a bed spread that filled the washer about 3/4 and only the bottom of the spread was covered in water. I had to add 3 buckets of water to submerge the spread. Then when it rinses the lid locks therefore no chance to add water. Why should I be adding water anyway? In the past I have always bought Kenmore appliances. I will no longer.
This washer has never given me any issues and is very easy to use. It is standard size and capacity and the standard color white. I have had this washer for many years and will buy Kenmore appliances in the future. This washer has always worked as expected and never given me any major issues. I have had to on occasion replace a belt or what not but have not had any major issues with this appliance. It looks like every other washer that I have ever owned. Kenmore offers a good value as you get a high quality name brand product for a value price. The service at sears where you purchase it is also typically very good.
My Sears Kenmore Elite washer will not get out stains. To be fair the unit is out of warranty but is only a year and a half old. Because of health issues, I didnt start getting clothes dirty until this spring. It will not remove simple stains like dirt and when I started started to smell some clothes, they didnt smell clean coming right out of the machine. For example my socks smelled as bad coming out of the wash as they did going in. I would think it would be unsanitary to wear clothes that are not clean. When I purchased the the set online in September 2012, they were giving it a 5 star rating. I looked at past models and they only showed 3 stars but this was a new model and I assumed improvements had been made. Looking online today, Consumer Reports gives it a 53 rating out of 100 and others rate it 3.2 out of 10 and even Sears rates it low and the biggest complaint was that it didnt get out stains or get clothes clean in general. I first called the 800 number Customer Service number in the book and the person that I spoke too suggested that I try to purchase an extended warranty then break the machine on purpose and see if they replace it. As bad as this sounds I do think she was trying to help knowing they would not do anything with it being out of warranty. Then I called Sears the first thing that they said is that is was a LG machine, and the second thing was that it was out of warranty and they would do nothing to help me. I then called customer service who said the same until I told them I would cancel my Sears Card. At that point, I was transferred to Customer Retention who eventually decided to send a technician to my house and some negotiation waved the service charge. I did ask him to speak with the service technician on the phone before he made the appointment because I thought he would be wasting him time after reading all the online information that says it just doesnt clean. The conversation didnt happen and the next morning about 8:45, the service technician called and asked me what was wrong with the washer. I told him it didnt get clothes clean. Then he started to say that I needed special laundry soap and that I shouldnt use fabric softener. Anyhow he declined to come because like me, I thought the machine was working as designed but wouldnt get all clothes clean. He eventually told me thank and added it was because the washer didnt use enough water to clean clothes. I called Sears later and told them what had happened and they would not help me and that case # ** would be closed. I did at that point close my Sears account. I did call Sears again to get an address to send information from Small Claims Court. I then decided to send an email to LG to see if they might help since it is manufactured by them and it is their design. The very first thing they said was that it was a Kenmore and that it was a Sears. I sent them back a reply asking them several questions including who did the design, hold the pattern, and the drawings. I didnt receive a response. I did call an 800 number and talk to someone who did give me an address so that the court could get them information. So I am looking into taking both companies to Small Claims Court together so that a Judge may decide who should lose $1029 for a product that doesnt clean.
Best washer Ive ever had! Consistently cleans well and is very energy efficient. Also is pretty quiet while operating. It’s small enough to fit anywhere but large enough to hold a decent load of laundry. Operates consistently well, always cleans all the laundry perfectly. Ive never had to have it repaired in the entire time Ive had it. I can always count on my clothes coming out fresh and clean every time I wash them. This model is small and sleek, fits basically anywhere. Its neutral in color so it matches any room you need to put it in. Its certainly one of the most visually attractive models Ive come across. This washing machine is a good value price wise when you buy it, but it continues to be a good value in that you dont have to deal with a lot of repairs, and it wont cost a lot energy wise.
Worked great, never really had any problems. The model I had I wish would have had a bigger drum and no agitator. For the price, all in all it was a great product...
It was a bit loud but nothing closing the door couldnt handle. I felt it was worth what I paid for it. This was a good device. I didnt have much trouble with it while it was in the house. It did a good job cleaning and needed little maintenance or repair work. I liked it although its a washer. Theyre only going to look so good so youre only going to care so much about it. I cant say I got it for appearances so it didnt really matter to me much on what it looked like. I would say this product was of good value to me for my needs. It lasted me well for a good few years and I found servicing was not frequent. I replaced it recently because I was redoing the kitchen.
I bought my Kenmore when my youngest son was born. Hes 12 now, and I just replaced the washer. We have 5 children, so thats a lot of laundry! We only had to have it repaired once in all that time. Many good years of service!
This washer throws the drive belt at least once per month! When it does it has to be laid over and all the water ends up on the floor and a huge mess not to mention having to put the belt back on! Never buy a series 500 or any other Kenmore with this type belt drive! Kenmore was no help, they got their money.
We bought our home in Loxahatchee Florida, with great joy and began furnishing and decorating. Because of limited space, we purchased the Kenmore Stacked Laundry Center, #61532. It is just my husband and I, so we do 3-4 loads of laundry per week. Just the other day, only 1 year and 9 months from our purchase of this brand new appliance, water started showing up on our laundry room floor. We check hoses, drain pipe, etc. and all are secure. So I call Sears for service and was told that the warranty is only for one year, so I would have to pay for repairs. Okay, how bad could it be??? Well, the technician came out and took one look at it and after hearing what we said was wrong, said oh, yea, this happens to these all the time, apparently Sears is peddling this appliance that has a transmission problem. And, worse, after spending $1,200 on the initial purchase, this would be $900 to fix!!! How shameful that Sears, a company that my mom worked for for 20+ years and my parents swore by the Kenmore brand is putting out a product that they KNOW is faulty and has not performed properly for any consumer. They wont credit us, they wont take it back, we are stuck with this monstrosity. We are tired of this kind of wanton callous concern for the end user. How is there not a recall on this item???
I was happy with them but I dont think they lasted as long as they should have. Bought new from Sears but bought Maytag. Brand had better reviews and were bigger inside. When you have a family you need the biggest. Also bought front loaders, much better.
Ill try to be as fair as I can without cursing. I really, really HATE my Kenmore high efficiency washing machine. It takes literally hours if not the whole day to wash a single load. And when the cycle complete light says its done and I open the lid, Im usually looking at a load that has not spun and is soaking wet. Ive tried every setting and Im constantly having to come back to the machine to check if its going o.k. I thought by purchasing this machine I would save on water but instead, I end up rewashing loads and wasting time. Its a nightmare. Its a fairly new machine and Im already considering taking it to the dump and buying a new one. I wouldnt want to donate it. Nobody deserves a machine like this. Ive had family members ask me how I like my machine because they needed a new one. I told them not to buy the high efficiency ones. I told them the truth. I HATE IT! I will never ever buy another one like this or recommend it to anyone. It may even deter me from buying Kenmore products too.
This was purchased in 2016 for about $1300.00 USD. This year, 2018, an error began showing on the display, LE. The error is indicating a motor failure. Our 2010 Kenmore Toploader still works fine, never had any issues with it. Moving on, Kenmore telephone support was both unhelpful and rather brash in nature, whilst I was polite at all times. The representative was uncaring, had no positive or helpful information, other than to provide the cost of the motor at $62.73 USD. When I asked for the cost to install the motor, $99.99 to look at the washer and give an estimate on the repair cost! Any company is fully aware of the time necessary to install a part such as a motor, yet Kenmore wants $99.99 to tell you how much they will bleed you for the repair. In short, this washer is an expensive pile of junk, so avoid Kenmore products, they are now low-quality junk for high-dollar prices. I wish I could say I am not an owner as they suckered me out of hard-earned money. I will never buy another Kenmore product in this lifetime.
Machine was delivered by Sears in 1990 and has sat patiently, and diligently cleaning my clothes, without any maintenance or repairs since that time. That would be 28 years. Every single feature works as well as the day it was delivered.
This washer is durable and reliable. It cleans clothes very well yet is gentle on fabrics. Leaves me feeling like it cleaned my clothes thoroughly. Kenmore is a brand I trust. I have owned 2 Kenmore washers in my lifetime. The first one I bought I gave to my daughter and still works today. I wouldnt purchase another brand. Its your typical top loading washing machine in the standard white color. Directions for use are under the lid top. Agitation type tub. This Kenmore washer is very affordable. This specific washer to me was priced to sell. Its a great price for such a wonderful, reliable brand name washer.
Great at getting clothes clean. Not too noisy. Handles large loads well. Many cycle options. Worry free operation. Very dependable usage. Never a repair or performance issue. Construction is very heavy duty and sturdy. Will last many years to come. Well worth price. Very attractive appearance blends in well with any decor. Shows function features and controls very easily. Looks a lot more expensive but is not. Works as well as many more expensive higher end machines at a much lower price. A great bargain if on budget.
It has lasted me longer than any other washing machine. It washes my clothes very clean. I repaired it one time in fifteen years. I also use other things from Kenmore. I have told other family members about my experience with Kenmore.
