Our Kenmore is very powerful for an older model washer. It has all needed wash cycles. It also has a very large drum for its size and I never have a problem with clothing sitting on one side during the wash. Each cycle gives the clothing a really good cleaning. It also has a very simple look, making it easy to use. Moreover, the knobs being located on the top panel makes them easy to access after you load and close the washer. This washer gets the job done extremely well for the price. Why pay double or triple the price when you can get this model and get the exact same performance as other washers. I highly recommend purchasing it.

We purchased the washer in July 2013. We did not put the washer in the new home until Oct. of 2013. It has had approximately 20 loads of laundry done in it. It senses, takes on water, agitates, drains and then it tries to spin but does not, just runs. I have to move the selector to drain and spin to get it to spin. I contacted Sears and Kenmore. They said we are responsible for repair even though the washer has had very little use.

I am disappointed that the gentle wash merely beats the heck out of the clothes for a couple of minutes, then stops for a minute, then thrashes them some more. Model 4027 2900 - The washer has not been getting items as clean as it should. It has finally stopped completing the wash cycle. It now has clothes sitting in it with an OE code. I tried the troubleshooting, nothing worked. I called to try and get it repaired. I can by an extended contract for $319.99 for 1 year and it covers up to 1 year or I can pay a trip charge of $75 plus labor, plus parts which I was informed that often front loader repairs get expensive and the contract is the best route to go. WHAT DO I DO? Low on money, low on confidence with this brand I bought thinking it would last more than 2 years 11 months, and low on patience now. Help!

This is a tough machine, handles large heavily soiled loads. It has never given us any problems at all. Were outside a lot, play and work hard, so we need deep, thorough cleaning - and this machine gives us that. It consistently handles large loads of dirty towels, deeply soiled jeans and a car mechanics greasy overalls, leaves them smelling and looking like new. It always delivers. It has a simple, clean look, goes with any decor. Ours is kind of out in our kitchen area; we dont have a separate room for it, and it blends right in. We have definitely gotten more than our moneys worth with this washing machine already, and it just keeps going. Its been problem free and so worth the cost.

One was with my bleach add in tray that started to rust and the other was with the balancing of the washer to stop the knocking sound. Both problems were corrected and are no longer problems.

It has programs that use it to clean dirty spot and a high quality. Also it keep clothes materials good so you can keep your clothes like new. You can put a 10 kilograms in it because its big from inside. Also its color is white and the door is a light blue glass that help you to see inside it clearly. Because it has too many programs to help you it has a not expensive price. I wish if they put sales or discount to help people to buy it.

When I bought I was very excited and I most dependently would not buy another washer for a good, good twenty years. It is very, very reliable. I can really count on it to wash every item correctly and in a timely manner every single time I use it. I would never use any brand but this one. It is very, very cute and I love it in my kitchen. It is just so pretty and I really love it. Everyone should buy this washer. It is perfect or anybody house. Washers are really pricey any way so the price I payed was amazing. Purchased $779 Kenmore Elite Washer model #29272000 in April 2011. In April 2013 sent a letter directly to Sears to complain about the rust all around the bleach dispenser. Did not receive any response. Now, a year later, the rust is far worse. I know from reading online comments, this has been a problem for years and Sears didnt figure out how to stop it and continued to sell this faulty product. The problems with this machine do not end with the rust. We suffer daily with the brutal wash cycle that ruins clothes, does not wash jeans and blankets without the UE error requiring constant adjustment to get the loads done, and bleach residue dispensing when you dont want it to so darks are spotted with white spots.It is bothersome that this expensive appliance is such a sad example of Kenmore and the fact that even though they knew it was a mess, it still was sold for years without correcting any of the problems. I was a faithful Sears consumer and yet now have no interest in a future dealing with them. I want a washer that doesnt harm my clothes AND isnt rusting after only a few years.

My washing machine is very easy to operate and figure out. It also washes quietly and effectively. Theres not a lot of buttons so not much to figure out. My washers reliability I think is great. I rely on it completely. It holds a lot of clothes or towels at once and I even wash my king size comforter in it and I have never had any problems. The overall appearance of my washer is plain but clean. Its just white with silver buttons so nothing fancy, but easy to read the controls. The value of this washer I think overall is worth it. It washes clothes just like you need and washes quietly and quickly and extremely easy to control.

My husband and I purchased a Kenmore Elite HE top load washer in May 2013. The clothes never seemed to be as clean as before and the cycles seem to take too long. After a short time it started flashing the out of balance code constantly, next the washer would shut down, it continued to get worse. I called Sears after a load of towels took 14 1/2 hrs to wash. We had bought the extended warranty that would cover repairs, and laundry service if needed, so they sent out a tech after waiting 10 days. He told me the washers really had a design flaw, plus Sears had sent a part out ahead of time that was totally useless. He ordered a new part, try to do what he could but washer was just as bad with stopping and lucky to even get one load done in a day. He came back after 2 weeks, put the new parts on, first load after he left stopped. I called Sears back and assured me the washer needed struts to prevent being out of balance. Struts came, put on after 2 weeks waiting, put a queen size set of sheets in to wash, it stopped. That load went for over 31 hrs! I called Sears and told them about the problem, they said a new part was ordered and told to hang in there. Really after 6 weeks and it still not working. I told them it was time to replace and they said no and that my laundry benefit with my warranty was only a courtesy and would only cover up to $25.00 a week up to $100.00 max. They dont acknowledge the fact of my inconvenience, the cost of power and water of a washer running for such extended periods of time, but they are not willing to help anymore than that with laundry expense. When I brought up the fact 6 weeks of laundry for a family of 5 would cost more than $100.00, the very rude manager on duty threaten to take the courtesy of the table. There definitely needs to be a class action lawsuit against Sears so consumers can get their money back.

I found this washer great! It cleaned all of my clothes great and has lasted me over 5 years now. I would recommend this to my close friends. Sadly they dont have a stainless steel model. This washer is very reliable. Its so reliable it has lasted me a long time, more than five years which is just very crazy. It still looks great like factory new! I have the white model which is very nice looking but I would like a stainless steel version but for now Im happy. I wish it could be a bit cheaper but in the long run I found it very valuable to me so the extra cost was just nothing.

It came with a softener ball which got lost with the passing of time. Had I more shopping time I would have not purchased this machine. We purchased this machine as an upgrade from our previous Kenmore washing machine. We have always been happy with the Kenmore brand, but now we are seriously questioning our decision to be loyal Sears customers. We did not purchase the service plan with this washing machine specifically because we felt the Kenmore brand name was quality enough. After speaking with 5 customer service reps, we got nowhere. We have had this product for 2 years and it has never given us any issue at all. It can wash really dirty items without a leftover smell. It looks like a normal washer. Its great for someone on a small budget that wants a washer that will last a long time. Its also easy to clean. We got this at a very good price and is very affordable and reliable. For something we will be using for years to come with a little one, this was the perfect washer for us.

I bought this Kenmore high efficiency washer 4 years ago, in 2017. I noticed clothes did not get as clean as with my old washer (which took 15 years before replacement was needed). There were other conveniences that were missing; for example, there was no way just to spin wet clothes, as there were with other washers. The washer needed frequent attention to adjust off balance loads. Finally, 2 months ago (May 2021), the washer refused to turn on. A service technician came 6/10 and said we needed a new board, which he ordered. The part has been on backorder since then. My only communication with Sears/Kenmore is when I call them. Their customer service reps politely tell me that the part is still on backorder, and they will escalate my request. I still have no working washer, and a service agreement which is not being honored. My advice is to consider another brand of washer.

Rust forming around bleach dispenser. I feel this is poor workmanship on Kenmore part. However they coat the enamel finish on the frame into which the dispenser sits in 3 year should not start to rust! If untreated this will spread and spot rust marks will start appearing on clothes. There is no way to contact Kenmore directly. Everything reverts to sears. Who want to charge me $79.00 to come tell me there is rust but will put the 79.00 dollars towards my repair bill. This is poor customer service.

Never had any issues with it breaking down. This is the best product Ive ever owned. Ill be definitely buying another in the future. Nice, sleek design that matches my other appliances. This washer could fit a pretty large load of clothes or a few quilts. It never got hung up and washed with ease. I could also easily wash more than one pillow. Its a basic washer appearance. It doesnt look as high tech as some washers out these days, but its still very nice and has enough nice features to get done what you need. It wasnt highly expensive and has lasted for a long time and still going. The knobs are all in working order. The doors are in working order.

I purchased this washer based on Consumer Reports and other recommendations. I have had nothing but problems with this washer. Been a little over a year since new and had Sears techs out 3 times. Water leaks out of the overflow valve on the back and floods the floor. Tech says to use low suds detergent which I do. We cannot wash more than 4 towels at a time. Must use a minimal amount of detergent. Can hardly use any detergent when washing sheets and blankets as it goes out the overflow valve onto the floor. Sears tech says its the way the machine is made. Im ready to dump this washer and get something else which is a shame as I have all Kenmore appliances and have always bought Kenmore for the past 40 years. Sears needs to do something about the design of this washer.

No electronic gadgets to break either. I loved it. Lasted much longer than expected. Definitely got my money out of it. I had bought it in 1975 and a hurricane destroyed it in 1998. Never had to have it repaired.

The washer help all of our clothes. I have four kids. I did laundry once a week. I did it all and three loads. We used to have a smaller washer. It took me five loads to do all the laundry.The washer was white. It was very sleek and stylish. It was very easy to keep clean the buttons and dials on the washer were well displayed and marked with very legible labels. The washer ran great. We never had any problems with it until it finally broke down but that happened after we had the washer for over 10 years. It was worth every penny we paid for it.

I did not purchase extended warranty, I sure expected a Kenmore to last at least 10 years with previous purchases I made with Sears appliances. The repair guy estimated 1000.00 to repair. We said no thanks because I can buy new for that price. So, this Tuesday, I have a new top load washer coming and this Kenmore is going to the dump. My new machine is costing me 1200.00 bucks. The problem with the Kenmore is it will not spin the clothes out, the clothes stay very wet. Its very reliable when it comes to getting my Kids clothes clean. It works amazing for those hard to remove stains. It can hold a substantial amount of laundry. It helps when I have busy days, because I can get so much laundry done in no time. I love the color and everything is so organized and makes it easy to operate. I would highly recommend this to anyone, because it gets the job done and removes the toughest stains. It never lets me down. I can honestly say you get what you pay for. The mechanic that came and looked at it said the bearings are worn out and it would cost 600 dollars to replace them. That is almost what I paid for the machine.I contacted Kenmore and asked if they can offer me some kind of help considering its only three years old and I feel that it should have lasted longer than that, we are only two people in the house. They offered me a 75.00 voucher towards a new one. Washing on extra hot adds one hour to the wash time. Setting the temp to warm or hot yields cold water only. The service tech, sent by Sears, was rude, incompetent and clueless. Couldnt fix anything regarding the temps. Clothes come out ridiculously wrinkled, no matter the water temp or spin level. I have never had to iron clothes with any previous washers. This is a junk machine. Dont buy any He washers from Sears. TERRIBLE!!!!

Then I was soon to notice it doesnt clean clothes properly. The simplest stains dont come out. The main reason for my complaint is that a washer a few years old shouldnt have rust anywhere... It has rusted at the lid and all around bleach dispenser. I contacted Sears and then they give me the phone number to customers solutions. That didnt get me anywhere. I was referred back to Sears. The washer should have been recalled. I dont feel like any washer should cause your clothes to get rust all over them.

They came the same day, has not happened again, but I did have a different situation of the Washer not working this summer. After the wash cycle, the spin cycle wasnt working. In fact the water didnt drain. With limited funds, I looked into doing it myself. Thanks to a YouTube video, I found it to be a common problem. I knew the part I needed, and was able to get it from Amazon. I got the part, fixed the washer, following each direction on the video, and was successful in repairing my washing machine.

I am very happy with my Kenmore washer. The top loader is an important feature in a washer, because the clothes get much cleaner with the use of an agitator. I have never had any issues (knock on wood) with my Kenmore washer. The clothing is always clean the first time through, and never any issues with the water levels. This is not the fanciest, or prettiest of washing machines... But what do you expect. It is one of the more basic models, and is very simple looking. That being said, the lack of extra knobs makes it very easy to clean. The Kenmore washer was the cheapest washer we looked at. We almost didnt get it for that reason alone. But it works great, and friends who have more expensive one have had to replace theirs and we havent. More money doesnt mean a better product.

Kenmore front load washer mcl 417-42042100 - This washer is less than 10 years old and I have had to replace the rear tub section twice because the bearing and seal went out. A $177 part just because a $8 bearing and seal went out, the bearing is not sold separately. The last time I replaced this part, the rear tube section, was about 3 months ago. A short time after I put the new rear tube section along with new shock absorbers it started making loud noises (banging) and vibrating very bad. When I took it apart I discovered that two of the legs of the drum support assembly had broken which also caused the front tub to be broken. The drum support assembly is not listed separately on the parts sheet. It is part of the drum cost $313 and the front tub section is $171. The rear section is about $177 and I have replaced it twice and the shock absorbers once at $57. So the scrap man got the washer and I got a new one, this time a top load. I wouldnt buy a front load washer again. As best I can tell they are all of similar design. Kenmore doesnt make anything. They have someone else make them and put the Kenmore logo on them. Not sure but this washer might be made by Samsung for Kenmore. I would not recommend buying this washer or any front load washer.

I had a service man come out one time when the inside rubber gasket tore, otherwise I've had no problems with it over the years. It has been very reliable. I leave the door open when I take the clothes out, even though I've never had moldy smell in my clothes. I usually wipe out the gasket (around the door) every so often, but not that often. The front paint ended up bubbling from spilled detergents over the years, but that's simply cosmetic. Those front panels are replaceable, but it doesn't bother me that much. I never thought this washer would be so good and last so long. Thanks Sears for a good quality appliance.

Ive had this model for years and I dont think it ever broke. I wash at least 3 loads every week and it does a good job of washing. I would buy Sears again for its reliability. I like this model because the inside is so large for big loads and the enamel is still looking good. It is big but still fits in a small laundry space. This is a good machine that lasts through many wash loads and it definitely is worth its value.

The machine I now have rips my husbands t-shirts. I have pictures to prove their destruction. I have had 2 different servicemen come out and it still occurs. What I have just discovered is there is a tiny barely noticeable metal wire that sets up and the clothes are getting caught on that wire. Another repairman came and replaced the hose. He said use less detergent. I use so little detergent its ridiculous it still leaks and another repairman is coming next week. Why would anyone make a machine that comes out of the machine onto the floor. Someone is going to slip and get hurt and then I will sue Sears and my floor is constantly getting water. I always left the door open after use and I used a maximum of 3 tablespoon of HE detergent. In 2007, I sent a letter to the customer service department explaining that mold had formed inside the rubber door seal and nothing seemed to help. I listed all the things I did and said that I was frustrated that I spent $1,000 and in three years, I was having problems. They responded with a long list of what to do for odor problems, all of which I was doing already. Forward 5 more years and the mold seems to be getting worse despite rubbing down the interior rubber seal with Clorox sheets and drying out the area. I am concerned that I am getting sick from the mold smell. I finally went out and bought a top load washer from a reputable manufacturer. Why should we have to pay such a steep price for a design flaw? Why dont the salespeople warn us about the common mold issue? And why is this happening without repercussions to the company? I would like financial compensation for all of this.

Sears has always been a company that has sold quality products and built a large company due to repeat customers. I was baffled re the lock button not releasing after the load was done and also the standing water staying after the rinse cycle periodically. This from day one of purchase off and on. I have given my manual a workout in the past two years trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Because based on being a third generation owner of exclusively Kenmore appliances, a two year old Kenmore washer would never have broken!A few months ago the standing water issue slowly progressed to the point of not spinning at all when the rinse cycle began. Out came the manual, again and again. Of course, the lock button wouldnt release due to the water level, so I drained it numerous times from the hose in the trap door. This takes over an hour and the hose is so short you have to use small containers and hope you can get one to the sink while holding the hose closed with your thumb. Then the nd error started coming on for a couple of loads and then it wouldnt do anything but hum - I cleaned every hose, snaked the drain, etc. I then called the water company who spent a couple of hours checking out the drains for roots while I tried to save the load of mildewed towels from my last load. They got a kick out of my bleach buckets and even the wheelbarrow filled with laundry :(After all options were gone I contacted Sears who sent a service tech out today. I spent $202.00 on a new drain pump with an option of buying a year warranty for almost $400.00!!! It would have been more, but I found a 20% off coupon for service calls online. I cant afford the extended warranty and even if I could, a year isnt worth that much. I am so upset, as I know I bought a lemon and am waiting for what is next. Sears, dont break your cycle of standing behind your products. I strongly feel I should be reimbursed. Please contact me.

I called Sears and they charge a $99 diagnostic fee to come out then labor and parts. I read reviews of others who had similar issues. Some had to have the same problem fixed multiple times within a year. It could be the motherboard console. To replace this piece is about $250 plus labor plus the diagnostics. I paid $598 for the washer in 2011. I think I might be better off just purchasing a Speed Queen or another washer with a better warranty rather than pour money into something unreliable.

There are many times that I would need to wash my rugs but if they had rubber backs I could wash but not dry and if the rubber was coming off then I could not wash them at all. I like to change out my bed often and would also change out the quilts that were on my bed at that time also. My boys were hard on clothes and would seem to find all the dirt that was out there and the washer did a great job keeping those clothes clean.

We have had to get it fixed at least once since the water was not coming out hardly at all and the calcium deposits had built up as well. And sometimes the clothes do come out a bit soaked still so I guess it just does not spin right sometimes. But other than that it seems to work fine. It still does what it is supposed to and washes clothes fine.

I have had this washer (Kenmore 50.0 washer top loader) for one year. They have been back to fix it for the fourth time for the same thing! I dont get it, you pay to have the warranty, they come to your house, and are back for the exact same thing. They arent fixing the problem. I tried to talk to the repairman and in his words, Lady, anything you buy nowadays is junk. He even told me that whoever I called and complained about my problem, they dont want to hear it, so they tell you to talk to the repairman about it to get the monkey off their back. Real nice Sears! I wont be buying another thing from you. You dont show up when you’re supposed to and just feed you a line. Im done and wont recommend you to anyone.

Clothes are cleaner. They take less time. They use less detergent than other washing machines. I actually look forward to washing clothes now. Economic on water use and energy efficient, quick, stable, cleans well with good array of different cycles, easy to use, load and unload. Ergonomic design fits well with normal counter heights. Durable with ability to handle recurring and high-frequency heavy loads. No maintenance or repair issues since owned. Reliable timer devices and release of additive like fabric softener.Clean lines and ergonomic design, with color choices, that integrate with laundry room design. Dials and doors are placed in convenient locations and add to look of appliance. Price was higher than some competitors model of similar in function and level in line. Cost higher than lower line machines. Reliability and durability balances cost for a good value for cost. They do cost a bit more than others but for the quality of the washer it is well worth the price. I didnt mind paying a little extra once seen how it performs.

We bought a 700 series washer in September 2017. Weve had the tech out twice because it WILL NOT RINSE THE SOAP OUT OF GARMENTS. We were told to only use heavy duty or white cycles with double rinse, softner and prewash. This doesnt work either. Weve had Kenmore for 50 plus years in our household and if I could sell it with a clear conscience I would in a heartbeat! I realize Sears is having financial problems but as a minimum they should recall these machines and fix them somehow. If not I think from reading others reviews and knowing several that have the same problems with the 700 series there is bound to be a class suit considered.

This was purchased in 2016 for about $1300.00 USD. This year, 2018, an error began showing on the display, LE. The error is indicating a motor failure. Our 2010 Kenmore Toploader still works fine, never had any issues with it. Moving on, Kenmore telephone support was both unhelpful and rather brash in nature, whilst I was polite at all times. The representative was uncaring, had no positive or helpful information, other than to provide the cost of the motor at $62.73 USD. When I asked for the cost to install the motor, $99.99 to look at the washer and give an estimate on the repair cost! Any company is fully aware of the time necessary to install a part such as a motor, yet Kenmore wants $99.99 to tell you how much they will bleed you for the repair. In short, this washer is an expensive pile of junk, so avoid Kenmore products, they are now low-quality junk for high-dollar prices. I wish I could say I am not an owner as they suckered me out of hard-earned money. I will never buy another Kenmore product in this lifetime.

It work really well. It washed clothes better than expected. I was really sad because I had to sell it. It was really hard having to load it and unload it. I purchased this used. My father-in-law had to fix it by putting something under the washer, so that it didnt leak. Once he did this, I didnt have any other problems. It always worked for me. The appearance of this machine was that was second hand. It had a lot of scratches and dings but worked. That is what I need it for washing my familys clothes. I got it for a remarkable price. This set lasted me probably 5 years if not more. They were still working when I had to get rid of them because I could not do laundry anymore with this type of machine.

This washer has had a much larger workload than I intended when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago (7 adults), and it is still as quiet and reliable as the day I hooked it up. And with all the setting levels available, it has always done an outstanding job of actually getting our construction-worker clothes clean as new. Has done an average of eleven loads a week for 2 1/2 years and still runs and cleans like new: even for the three of us construction workers, two car mechanics, and two ladies in the house. Its appearance is modern, but without looking like an airliner cockpit with all those confusing lights and controls that youll never use. After 2 1/2 years of washing for seven adults without a single breakdown, it still performs like new. I think weve already got our moneys worth out of it.

UL code comes up on every load of clothes, not overloaded! Stinks and smells like mildew, clothes do not get clean and finding small holes in clothes. Had board replaced but did not stop UL code, had stabilizers in drum replaced. Sounds like an airplane taking off when it spins! Have to reposition clothes on every load, takes forever to do a load of clothes! Will never buy a Kenmore washer again or shop Sears again! Going back to the old style washer with agitator. My daughter gave hers away and got a regular washer, not HE. They all stink and have mold in them!

The washers performance I would have to say is one of the best that I have seen before. Presoaks pre-rinse, the cycles lasts long enough that I know without a doubt everything is getting good and agitated and that my clothes are definitely coming out clean. Plus this washer also has a self cleaning cycle so that I dont have to figure out how to clean it myself, it does it for me. Plus there is gentle cycle, permanent cycle, heavily soiled, small, medium, large and oversized weights for whatever size you are loading into the machine. Since no pur based the machine 2 to 3 three years ago I have yet to have a single issue with it. No matter how much has been shoved into its never gotten off balance, never slung the laundry all to one side. It has kept it evenly distributed through the inside of the tub itself. And though it is self cleaning none not once has a single line that is attached to the machine has never gotten clogged up. I like the fact that its white, can be a hassle to keep cleaned but if properly taken care of very pretty. And will remain that way if properly maintained. But my favorite feature is that it has a clear glass, self locking lid that can be seen through. So instead of wondering if its actually doing what its supposed to do like with the older ones with a solid a lid you can just look down into and seen that it is working just fine.

I was so happy that It wasnt bad looking. It worked well and it looked well as much as it treated me and my beautiful clothes well. The price was very good. You didnt have to pay as much as others. You could pay a certain amount depending on which type you have chosen. The value is very wonderful and amazing.

We have never had a single problem with our set of Kenmores. We did not buy the top of the line more of the bottom line, no bells and whistle. The settings are easy to read and turn knobs too, Im blind/low vision and markings are bold enough for me to see. Baskets are more than big enough to handle all of our washing loads. No extra settings to cluster the facial plates with settings we will never use. Bleach trough in the right place and easy to pour into, big enough to hold recommended amount, softener container in the middle easy to get to, softener lid can be a little hard to get off if you cut your fingernails too short. Product and price was right, have had for 5 years no service calls, bought a set for daughter.
