I have owned Kenmore appliances in the past and I have been very happy with. Both the washer and dryer lasted us quite a long time. I do recommend to anybody looking for appliances to shop Kenmore.
It did an OK job, one of the cheaper models they have. My next buy would be a better dryer, more cycles to use. I would recommend this dryer for someone who doesnt dry big loads. It is a very reliable dryer. Mine lasted for 12 years. I now do less laundry than I did back then. I have lighter loads that require less drying time. There was nothing outstanding about the design. It was white to match my washing machine. For the money it worked really well. There are better dryers and there are worse dryers. Depends on the use of the dryer for what money you want to spend.
Both the washer and the dryer were priced reasonably well. Neither the washer or the dryer ever broke down, i.e. no service calls. Machines were not overly loud. Both the washer and the dryer worked well for over fifteen years. When I married my second husband, he had newer appliances, so we decided to keep his and sell our Kenmore appliances. The next time we need to buy a washer and a dryer, Kenmore will be in our top ten list of manufacturers. Well probably consider Kenmore, Maytag, and Samsung.
Now considering replacement as continued use over 8 years necessitates a new unit. Washer leaks through the front door, have to keep a towel on floor. Lint in dryer builds up too fast and is hard to clean. Sears now closed doors, no manufacturing agent available.
It does a great job cleaning my clothes. The cycle takes too long, I dont like the stop button (it is easy to break) and its difficult to stop the washer and add an item because the lid locks. Very reliable. I have owned the washer for over four years without any problems. I use the washer several times a week, at different settings. The washer appearance is fine. I was looking for something simple to use and small enough to fit in my laundry closet. There is nothing fancy about this washer but I wasnt looking for anything complicated. I was not planning to buy a washer but my old washer/dryer combination broke down so I was forced to buy new machines. This washer fit well within my budget without sacrificing the features I was looking for.
This washer is very good. It gets the job done and my clothes come out clean. Thats all I look for in a washer. It doesnt have to be super fancy just as long as my clothes are being cleaned. It has never given me any problems. It has simple instructions on how to use it and it will be a reliable washer if you follow those instructions. It is just a regular washer nothing fancy. But it gets your clothes clean and it does it in a timely manner. I like a plain look to a washer and dryer anyway. I dont care too much for super fancy. I got this at such a good price. I couldnt pass it up. I bought it as a set and together they make the best washer/dryer investment Ive ever made. I would totally recommend the washer and dryer.
May 2016, we purchased a washer and a dryer and 6 months later the dryer started making a horrible humming sound. So, we called the customer service and repair person comes out says, These products are not really the Kenmore used to be. They are made by Whirlpool just the name Kenmore goes on it. He tried to find the problem and said, Sorry the metal casing of the machine is very thin and does not absorb the sound so it produces this humming. I have called 2nd time because when the dryer is on we cannot be around in the house, once my friends were visiting and they all were uneasy. I am so sorry that last year we sold our 33 years old Kenmore washer and dryer with the house and regret doing it. All I want is to exchange with a better product even if we have to pay a little more from our pocket. For almost 35 years I have not bought any other but Kenmore and seems like this will be my last and I am determined to tell all my family and friends to stay away from these electronics. My washer and dryer are still in warranty and I am to the point where I might go to a legal route. The washer has started the showing some problems such as locking the lid, leaving soap on clothes etc. After my first service call they want me to buy warranty on both items??? Amazing, instead of improving their products they want to make more money by selling the service contract so you feel being looted twice.
The washer has a problem with balance and a load often needs to be distributed manually during the cycle; the dryer is not very effective when multiple towels are included in the load. The performance is pretty consistent from load to load = the need for rebalancing of the wash happens routinely, and having wet towels at the end of a drying cycle recurs pretty often. The washer and dryer were not bought at the same time, so one is white and one is beige; other than that, they fit my laundry room well and are not too obtrusive. Considering I have had the washer and dryer for 10 and 8 years, respectively, they have been great values. But given the improved current technologies, if I were in the market today, they would not be considered good values based on their performance.
Weve had our Kenmore washer and dryer for 20 years or more and have been completely satisfied with them. The washer has had to be repaired occasionally, but its never been very expensive - much better to repair it than having to buy a new one.
When it worked, it was a fair washer. However, it seemed to be broke more than it worked. For that reason I made the choice to go with a different style as well as a different brand. I am happy with my choice. The same goes with the dryer. It would take hours upon hours to dry my clothes when it should have only taken one cycle, roughly an hour, it would take multiple cycles.
I loved my Kenmore. Very reliable. It handled a family of 7 very easily. They were the large capacity style machines and worth every dime. I would recommend the Kenmore appliances to anyone looking for dependable washers and dryers.
Kenmore 700S Washer - I was so excited to get this new washer and dryer, as Ive had great experience in the past with this brand. The top load with no agitator has great capacity for my larger loads, including sheets and blankets. The problem is this... My stuff is NOT getting clean. Every time I pull stuff out it has white residue all over it and I have to rewash it. Im beyond frustrated! Makes me want to go back to a front loader I guess. The dryer is great.
I have had Kenmore washer & dryer for many years. I love them, because they last for many years. They are worry free. I would recommend them to everyone. My first set was given to me by my wifes aunt. We keep that set for many years with great service.
Both the washer and dryer perform well. We had few problems with them. They lasted a long time. I would be happy to purchase a Kenmore again. I only have good things to say about them.
The washer and dryer were priced well. I have saved money on water bills and electric. They work efficiently. I trust the Kenmore brand over the competition.
I purchased this $2300 refrigerator in 2011. It has had one repair already and is scheduled for another repair this month. During this repair, the man stated the dryer unit failed. He repaired that and then stated that the computer board may need to be replaced as well; he did not do that, as it reset. Well, that was wrong as the freezer continued to not be as cold as it should. We go out of town for 2 weeks and the entire unit lost its cooling power. Get this... The temperature rose to 80 in the inner cabinet as well as the freezer so I had to remove all food and try to clean out the smell. When I called for service, I was told the earliest they could come was 7, yes, 7 days later. Why would they take so long for such a vital part of a household? They are due here in 5 more days as we live with two ice chests and no items that need to be refrigerated. I am not sure what the outcome will be of this visit, but I am seriously considering junking it and buying something else. I can not trust it to work properly. With holidays around the corner, I dont want to lose more food. I am not at all happy with Sears products. I feel that they have just shifted to the cheapest versions possible to maintain the highest profit margins they can. If appliances are so poorly made and require continuous repairs, maybe they should get out of the appliance business.
My washer or dryers performance include being very reliable and definitely very tough on all types of stain removal on clothes. I have had it for over 5 years and still work very well. My washer or dryers reliability can fit all of my needed items, such as: underwear, socks, shirts and pants. I definitely recommend this washer and dryer to all of you. My washer and dryers appearance include big buttons and lots of cool options on it to really get the job done right. I definitely recommend this type of washer and dryer in the home. The perceived value of my washer and dryer is around $700 to $800. It is definitely worth the investment because it really does last a really long time and I approve this machine.
NO AGITATOR AND NO HOT WATER!!! That is the only thing that cleans white sheets, blood stains and automotive grease. First HE I have owned and had to replace my old Kenmore of 25 years that I loved. Have to wash my clothes twice to even get them semi clean. Leaves soap residue and lint behind and I only use liquid soap. Want my money back and will never buy a Kenmore again. Good riddance Sears!
Kenmore performs like a dryer should and doesnt let me down! Have had this dryer for years and years and it has been so dependable. My grown up boys even used it when learning how to be on their own. Its very dependable indeed! I have used mine for years and years and it still performs well. It can dry a lot of clothes at one time and they all come out dried evenly. Its easy to keep clean inside and out. It has a tough, durable finish that still looks new. Just a quick spritz of cleaner and a quick wipe of a towel and it looks like new again! Kenmore has always been reasonably priced when you take into consideration how long and how well the product will last you. Having no worries that it will need costly and time-consuming repairs is a blessing.
My washer and dryer are 20 years old. I have always trusted the brand and they have always have done a great job. They clean every time. I have grandchildren and children that have played all kinds of sports and have always done a great job of cleaning.
The dryer works great. The different settings allow for the complete dryness or just throw wrinkled clothes to smooth them out. The wrinkle setting works amazing. It has worked every time. Very reliable.... Always drys clothes in the right amount of time. Any time I had an issue it was easy to fix. I like the appearance. It is sleek and classic. I do wish they had color options though. It would be nice to have options so it could be a modern laundry room. Very worth the money. Its reliable and compares well to other dryers that are slightly above this price. Again it is really worth the money.
I love my Kenmore washer and dryer. As a mother/step mother of six children both appliances get used often. I have owned this set for roughly 5 years now and both are still running strong. I used to work for an appliance store a few years back and Kenmore was a brand many of my customers asked for or owned happily. I strongly recommend this particular brand for all of your appliance needs. This is a brand that will last for years to come, leaving you worry free knowing it will work up to par and get the results you are looking for in an appliance.
Old machine but is reliable and gets the job done well. Ive been using Kenmore appliances for a few years now and have never been disappointed with its performance. I know that every time I use it my clothes will come out clean with almost no lint left on them. It also isnt as loud as other machines out there. Standard look, not an eyesore in any way but not fancy either, it has the simple yet efficient look of dependability. It is all white and easy to clean or wipe down if detergent is spilled on it, good size so doesnt take up too much space in the garage. I bought this maybe 4-5 years ago and it still is working as good as the first year of owning it. The newer models look nice and have more features, but if this one gives me 5+ more years, Im satisfied with the model I currently have.
Ive had the dryer for over 6 years. I dont know how long it was in my home before I purchased the house so Im not sure the real age of the dryer but Ive only had to replace the belt on it once and havent had any other major repairs to it. Ive even let other friends and family use it over the years and its still going strong.
4It looks better than some of the other options we considered. It was reasonably priced too for what we paid for it. There were some that were less money but this seemed to be a better value. The salespeople at Home Depot were extremely helpful and open. It has a capacity that is enough for our needs. It is also not super bulky and fits neatly in our laundry closet. The dryer is stacked on top of it. Its very reliable and it isnt too noisy. We use it at least once a day and the clothes come out smelling great and thoroughly clean.
It was efficient for the price. My washer and dryer worked fine and I am pleased with them. It worked well with cleaning my clothes and drying them efficiently. The appearance is white. One is a top loader and the dryer is a front loader. They are small enough to be kept in the utility room.
I bought the washer and dryer set with the pedestals when I had my house built 8 years ago and spent over $2,500. I will never, ever again buy such an expensive set and will never, ever again buy anything from Sears. The dryer went out last year (year 7) and had more error codes than I knew what to do with. The cost for a technician to come out and just look is approximately $300 and that cost only includes them coming out - nothing is yet fixed. So, I went on the internet and read that the problem I was having was likely a control board. I called Sears to get a new one (approximately $300) and was told (after I specifically asked) if I could return the board if it turned out not to be the problem. I was told that I could. The board they sent me was reconditioned (RECONDITIONED!) and didnt work either. I called Sears to get a return part and was told since it came from their overseas supplier, I could not return it. So, I spent a ridiculous amount of money for a simple dryer that doesnt last and then spent more ridiculous amounts of money trying to fix it only to learn that not only does Sears not stand behind their products, but they also dont stand by their return policy. I bought a new dryer through Home Depot -- a holiday sale and military discount provided me with a new dryer for UNDER $300. Now the washer is gone. No error messages, nothing. Ive learned not to call a technician and not to order replacement parts from Sears. Im simply buying a new washer, which will no doubt be much cheaper than trying to fix the joke that Sears put out. I highly recommend buying from another company (Sears cannot be trusted with the parts, service, or guarantees). They suckered me but good.
I contacted Kenmore right away. I got no response at all! Washer model number 110.5072011. Date of production is 3/16/14. This washer is JUNK! It senses, fills, drains a little, refills, sits for hours on end. Its now a month old and I baby-sit the piece of junk otherwise it does nothing. Ive never hated anything more. It should not take hours for a load. I wanted new because the old one at least 35 years old was taking what I felt was a long time to wash. This is what I get for thinking. At least the old one ran, washed the clothes faster, I could open the lid anytime I felt like it. It actually switched cycles! I hate Kenmore, will never buy anything made by them again. Im going to buy another Brand new washer but it will not be a Kenmore! Im not scamming anyone else into this pile of garbage either. Im using it for target practice! (I live in the country so I can do that) Im recording it, sending it to Kenmore! They are the worst company out there! Bad products. Horrible customer service. Ignoring consumers just makes them angry. So good-bye Kenmore. I hate you, will post reviews about you, your horrible product everywhere. Avoid this washer! The dryer I bought with it is fine but this washer will make you angry every time you touch it.
We purchased this set (Washer Model #417.41122410 & Dryer Model #417.81122310) from Sears only about 3.5 years ago. Im not going to fault Sears for these, but the models themselves. Only after a year did the seals from the washer and dryer start failing. Everytime I wash, door slightly pops open and water leaks down the front. The dryer door pop open periodically after cycle starts. I dont fully load either of these machines and this still happens. The dryer interior light keeps going out. Ive replaced it twice already and its out again currently. Its not very easy to get in there to replace as well. We had a basic Kenmore top loader washer and matching dryer set for 12 years in our old house, and I wouldnt be surprised if they were still working! So disappointed, especially since these are our first front loading machines weve used. I will make sure I read all reviews before our next washer/dryer set.
In Aug 2013 I replaced my old Kenmore Front Load washer, that I had purchased in 2005, with the Kenmore Elite Model 41172211 Washer. My old Front loader had worked great most of the time. In the 8 years we had it I replaced a pump and had to replace a set of drum shocks but other than that it worked great. One thing I never had a problem with was mold and mildew growing in the washer. I very seldom had to clean it out and never worried about having to leave the door open. Our clothes were always cleaned very well. However, the new Front Load Elite Model # 41172211 has been nothing but problems since we got it. There was an odd odor right from the start. And there is a constant fight to keep mold and mildew from growing in areas along the rubber boot. I leave the door open. Run bleach through it on the Clean Washer cycle usually at least every 2 weeks. Really water efficient. I think not. Not when you have to run cleaning cycles all the time without a load in it. The other problem is that my wife has a beauty shop and we wash a lot of her towels in the machine. With my old machine there was never a problem getting the hair out of the towels. Every time I run a load of her towels I have to wipe hair off of the glass on the door and out of the rubber boot. And dont tell me I need to clean the screen because I do that about once a week.I grew up with my parents always having a Kenmore washer and dryer. I have been married for 32 years now and my wife and I have only had Kenmore washers and dryers up to this point. But if this is the quality of Kenmore front loaders I will NEVER buy another Kenmore. As far as Im concerned this machine has an engineering deficiency that needs to be corrected and Sears/Kenmore has a public relations nightmare with this washer.Sears needs to make good for anyone having mold problems in these machines by either refunding our purchase price so we can go elsewhere and get a machine a decent machine or replacing what we have with a model that doesnt have a mold problem. I know personally I am considering seeking a lawyer that specializes in class action litigation. I have seen enough people posting about this problem not only on this site but many others about this specific problem. If it wasnt a design/engineering problem then my old machine would have grown mold and it didnt.
Dries clothes very well. I like having the different heat options for delicate and cotton items. The anti wrinkle setting is awesome as well. I have had this dryer for a few months and have had no problems. I normally only have to run the dryer once to get everything dry unless it is bedding. Mine sit right off my kitchen so appearance was important to me. Thankfully I was able to get a matching washer as well. They go well with my other appliances. Well worth the price. The new technology makes drying easier and faster. Now if they would just make something that folds my clothes and puts them away.
You have five boys who play football and let me tell you when it comes to my washer and dryer by Kenmore it cant be beat!!! My sons are all star athletics and they have to sparkle everywhere they go whether the championship playoffs in San Diego or Las Vegas they have to look their best!!! So my duty is to see that they are looking as awesome as theyre playing.
Love my washer and dryer front loaders. Clean well, but long cycles. Never any problem and very reliable. I have the stackable kind and have drawers underneath. Only had one service call in nine years and it was for a door latch that was from the kids slamming the door of the washer. They are water and electricity efficient. Mine are black and look very up to date and modern. I love the front look and they are very easy to get into. Mine are standing on two drawers that are great for storage and also bring up the machines a bit so I dont have to bend over to put in and take out clothes. Mine are over 9 yrs old and still look wonderful. Well they were $1000 each 9 years ago, but the fact that I have had no problems with them, and I hope they last another 10 years, then it was a good value.
Performs great. Some improvements could be noise of clothes and heavy loads. I would like to let more heavier loads all at once. Overall very nice, cleans efficiently and takes my gratitude to a whole new level since I do have 6 people (including me). This dryer earns all of my respect since we cycle through clothes like crazy, having this dryer helps tremendously. Great duration and this dryer efficiently keeps my clothes from wrinkling and actually dries them. It has an amazing sign of duration. This dryer makes life a heck of a lot easier to go on! Appearance is nice and looks clean and cut. Doesnt look at all out of shape or breaks down any time soon. Love its design and its efficiency. Great value for the loads it can hold and the happiness of me with the less stress of other dryers takes value away. I would pay for this dryer without worrying about the value.
Its easy to clean, runs quietly. Very durable, great value. Have owned for over 7 years. I would recommend this Kenmore if you are on a strict budget. Also energy efficient for me. The Kenmore does not require a lot of space. I have three people in my household including a 3 year old so there enough space for all the different items we refrigerate. I choose the white color to match any color and it fits well in my kitchen. Does not attract hardly any dust or lint. Easy to clean. Has sturdy door handles. Because its energy efficient I save on my monthly electric bill. Also my food stay fresher longer. All drinks get cool quick and stay cool so my grocery bill is manageable.
This dryer had a large enough drum to hold large loads. Consistently dries clothes very well considering the size of loads. Very simple to use and at a good price. Very good machine. Installs simply. Have had no problems the entire life of the machine. Never had It break down and have any issues. Very reliable. I bought this dryer in a traditional white color, Standard color and thats what I prefer over a color or stainless steel. Looks very up to date, stylish and still be simple. This brand and style of appliance is a very good value. One of the best prices in its category. Others you pay a lot for the brand name. On this you pay for the performance.
We just purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer but it hasnt arrived yet. Our other set is a Kenmore front loader, which is okay but the rubber seal went out. So unless we wanted to pay $450.00 for the repair cost for a rubber seal, it made more sense to purchase a new set. The quality was poor in the Kenmore. Im looking forward to the new set!
Strong... Fast and everything you would want. Not only does it quickly wash all your clothes. It gives it a special soothing smell that makes it AMAZING. And when I bought it... It was cheaper than other dryers and washers. I love it. It has a Nice... Professional... Cool look. I would look at it and be like DAYUM you is a fine washer. But then other ones are like What the hell is that. VALUE is perfect. It looks good. It washes good. It is new. The only thing I would change is how long it would stay a good washer.
The washer and dryer both work very well and are very durable. They are both white and very basic models but we are very happy with them. The dryer top is kind of scratched up but they get a lot of use so I guess thats to be expected. The only thing I do not like is that the washer does not have a fabric softener dispenser but it does have a bleach dispenser which is nice to have. We do a lot of laundry and have had only a couple minor issues with the washer and dryer. The washer leaked once. We never did figure out why. We had a problem with the dryer once as well but my son was able to fix it fairly easily. Kenmore appliances are typically a good value.
It cleaned clothes good and it was consistent. It worked great and I would recommend it. Also, I never had a problem with the dryer and I find it to be very reliable because it performed as advertised and expected. The clothes were always dry in the manner I was hoping and expected. Its appearance is very understated. Nothing fancy. It blends in well and gives you the impressions that it is a strong and quality dryer. I think you get the most bang for your buck with this dryer. You dont want to pay too much or too little. You just want your moneys worth.
Never ever had a problem with my washer or my dryer! I had them for 10 years before I upgraded and they still ran well. I just wanted bigger ones as my family grew. :) I now have a new set and they run just as well and I do not have any issues with these either. All of our kitchen appliances are Kenmore too because of how much we love the brand. :)
We bought our Kenmore washer/dryer in 1980. We replaced them in 2013. For 33 years, they worked very well. There were small problems which my husband was able to buy parts from Sears and fix himself. We never had a major problem with either appliance. We replaced them with a different brand, and we wish we had keep the old appliances. Our clothes do not get as clean, even with using special detergent pods with cleaning boosters. The new dryer goes crazy and either doesnt dry the clothes thoroughly or runs too long. I cannot say it enough -- WE SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH KENMORE!
The washer was awesome. It was large enough to hold my blankets and bigger items where I didnt have to drag them to the laundromat anymore and got them cleaner than any other washer that I had ever owned. It wrung them out twice as good as any other machine I had owned so it meant less drying time. The washer was extremely dependable, reliable the whole time I owned it. It never let me down. It always got my clothes thoroughly and always wrung them out to the max. It was very elegant, very easy to keep clean and the overall appearance was sweet. They had a selection of colors so I could coordinate it so it didnt look tacky in my house. It was an exceptional value. I got both the washer and dryer for $2,000.00 with a 2-year warranty, which included delivery and set up.
My washer is a top loader and completely white, same with the dryer, but with different settings. The washer for heavy or light loads, the dryer for regular or delicate. The value was average but it was worth it for the quality of the product. It takes about 15 minutes to wash and the clothes come out smelling fresh and clean. It works very well, the same with the dryer, and helps keep the colors bright and the whites white.
I have a Kenmore front load washer. It's about 10-15 years old now and has been a great washer. I had a service man come out one time when the inside rubber gasket tore, otherwise I've had no problems with it over the years. It has been very reliable. I leave the door open when I take the clothes out, even though I've never had moldy smell in my clothes. I usually wipe out the gasket (around the door) every so often, but not that often. The front paint ended up bubbling from spilled detergents over the years, but that's simply cosmetic. Those front panels are replaceable, but it doesn't bother me that much. I never thought this washer would be so good and last so long. Thanks Sears for a good quality appliance.
Dries the clothes in one cycle. I love that it doesnt shake the ground when spinning! Am a satisfied buyer and definitely no buyers remorse. Am amazed as to how spacious the dryer is, take up to several loads on my lazy days and dries them to perfect (crisp). Hmm I can smell fresh laundry! I also love that it is beautiful appliance, and to think it doesnt eat all my kids socks. Anyways if you are shopping for a new appliances in the washer/dryer department, dont sit on the fence dear, pick this brand. Sometimes no matter how valuable something may pose to be, we hesitate when it comes to paying! But this appliances will stand the test of time and make us see the purchase is well worth it.
This model was the best one Sears had under the Kenmore label. It has a matching dryer which I also purchased. It is one of the newer low water washers which took some getting used to. Over time I have learned a lot in regard to what and what not to do in order to operate this machine as a high efficiency washer. When I mastered a few of the "mystery tricks" then this seemingly "monster washer" became my friendly servant. I learned by the various "wish-wash" sounds when the wash cycle needed a bit more water, and by redistributing the clothes up around the sides of the rim, more water would be added by the machine. Also, though it is a super heavy-duty washer, I've learned not to load it too full or it will keep going back to the rinse cycle (over and over) and never go forward to spin.
We had Kenmore heavy duty washer and dryer appliances that we used while our 4 kids were growing up. They were great appliances and did thousands of laundry loads. I knew that when I put dirty clothes in they would come out clean and fresh. My parents had Kenmore products and thats why I got Kenmore. They more than proved themselves over the years. We usually did at least 7 to 9 loads of laundry a week at my house. When I say that we needed a heavy duty washer and dryer set, I meant that we really gave them a work out.
We had our machines for over 7 years, then gave them to our daughter and bought new ones. Kenmore was a trusted brand by my parents also. While traveling, we stopped at a pay laundromat and they had all Kenmore washers and dryers in the facility.
We have had no problem with the Kenmore washer or dryer that we have had for over 8 years. We even had my children and grandchildren living with us at one point. This meant multiple loads of laundry since the children were in diapers and they were cloth diapering.
After using top load washers all my life. My wife and I decided to upgrade to a new set of Kenmore front loader, and matching dryer. This has to be slowest washer ever, with an average load size being an hour or more. Stinks like mildew all the, and we follow manufacturer cleaning instructions. We even leave the door fully open when not in use. Does not get the clothes clean, even at tiny load sizes. We have never loaded it over half full, and not compressed. Weve had them for about 4 months now and I wish we still had our old worn out top loader back. Even though the dryer does fine, I would never recommend this washer to anyone.
I loved my dryer. It performed all the function it said. It never shrunk any of my clothes. As long as you put it on the right setting! I wouldnt buy any other brand for my clothes. The dryer I bought was perfect for my family of 6. It always dried my clothes, and left them wrinkle free. I recommended their product to all of my friends and family. Kenmore has an excellent appearance. I love how everything is organized and label with different settings, so you know which one to use for different clothes. Ive had mine for the last ten years. They are very reliable dryers. I am truly amazed that its still running great. Ive never had any problems with my dryer.
I bought my Kenmore washer and dryer set at a low price on Black Friday one year. It was a matching set both were white with gray knobs which added a nice touch to my gray laundry room. The washer was a top loader and the dryer was a front loader. Also, the set was very reliable. The washer cleaned clothes thoroughly and the dryer dried my clothes in barely any time at all. In fact, I used the set for 5 years and after all that time, it still worked just as good as the first day I bought it. I feel like I could have sold them at 5 years old for the same price. It was definitely worth the money! I loved my Kenmore washer and dryer set.
Kenmore devices seem to last longer and I have less problems with them. They are worth the money you pay for them and are reasonably rated with other types of washers and dryers. They dont break down a lot and when they do the parts are easy to get and it easy to get them worked on. Thankfully my fiancé has a lot of experience with plumbing so he usually fixes things himself.
Kenmore dryer is good, works well, cheap to own. Kenmore Oasis HE washer is a piece of junk. Ul errors, constantly have to babysit this washer just to get thru with a load. Pathetic. Will never buy another Kenmore item again.
Works great! Easy to operate. Wrinkle guard feature works great. Easy to move; easy to clean. I would recommend this dryer. This dryer is very reliable. I have not had to have it serviced yet. Runs quietly and runs with reasonable dry time lengths. No issues whatsoever with its operation. It is the standard white of most dryers. It is easy to maintain a clean finish with minimal effort. Just a quick polish with a dry cloth. An occasional damp sponge to rid some extra lint. While I paid a little more for the Kenmore, the overall value is good to me because of the lack of maintenance in the long term. It dries the clothes well and keeps the clothes in overall good repair.
It washes the items the first time and takes up very little water. It is basically dry when you put them in the dryer making the dryer work less and getting clothes done quicker. It should hold up for at least 5 years before needed minor repairs as long as you treat it right and not abuse it. You should have no problems out of it for a long time. You can do less loads per day which in the long run saves water and power. It also runs in less time, but gets them just as clean as a normal washer would. It basically pays for itself! I dont know what else to say about it besides that it is a good washer and you would be happy to have it in your home.
Both washing machine and dryer are very efficient and had lasted for a long time. We feel that they clean better and the electricity efficiency is one of the best in the market. In fact, when we had them replaced, we replaced them with the same brand.
No matter what settings or detergent or how much detergent I use this washer leaves my clothing with lint, white streaks, and stains. It will not even remove the white residue from my deodorant. I hate it. I have to wash loads 2 or 3 times and the loads take 1 hour and 43 minutes to complete. Such a waste of money.
Ive always had Kenmore washer and dryers. With little or no problems. I purchased the large capacity 700 series so I could wash bedding and large loads of jeans. With no agitator in the drum clothes and bedding does not rotate. When you load the clothes or bedding whatever is on top stays there and just floats around. Meanwhile what is on the bottom gets knotted up. What cloths are on top does not get clean. It seems the washer never adds enough water even if you select deep fill. The only loads it seems to work on are loads of white. IE white sock, underwear where the articles of clothing are small enough to get swished around. IMO this washer is the biggest p.o.s. The engineers that invented this washing system better go back to the drawing board.
I purchased a Kenmore Dryer in June 2012. I put a load of wash in it and it had this very loud grinding noise. I took the top off to see if the belt was broke, but all looks intact. I spun the drum to see if maybe something was lodged in there and it did not make any harsh noise. I never overload the dryer (my son broke one before by doing that. I know the expense). The warranty just expired - go figure. I called Kenmore to see what I can do and they said they can have someone over that same day. That was very impressive. However, they said it would cost me $97.00 just to have the service man ring my doorbell, and depending on what is wrong with the dryer it could cost almost $500. I only paid $450.00 for it. So, I said no to the service call. I am on a low budget I could not afford that. I put the dryer on lay-a-way for six months thats how low my budget is. I purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer because of the reputation and good products they sell. Ive always purchased Kenmore appliances. I am very disappointed in this product and extremely dissatisfied with Kenmore. Is there anyone out there that can help me.
I purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer and dryer in 2006. I would never buy another one. They are the worst pair I have ever owned. There always seems to be a problem. Just a little frustrating like getting off balance multiple times during each wash, even if I carefully place the clothes around the sides. It is perfectly level also. The sensor of the dryer quit years ago. I cant leave the washer and dryer on without being in the house to try to fix the problem when it occurs, or to check the clothes, to see if they are dry. The pair cost me $1,948.92 in 2006. I had just retired, and hoped this pair would last. I want to be reimbursed, so I can purchase a different pair. I wouldnt even feel honest, if I give them to goodwill.
Dries quickly and is very quiet. It has several settings and different cycles. Can use a buzzer to let you know when its done and also has an automatic dryer buzz. Fits all our needs. A large tub to hold clothes, no problems with it at all, easy to clean lint out of it, front part pulls off to clean. Its white with the buttons visible at the top. Easily can read and bright to see. Easily can be wiped down but stays fairly clean. A very nice looking washer. It is also high capacity with high heat so it decreases drying time. This is a time saver as well as a cost saver. It has lasted under high use with little cost towards repairs.
I purchased a Kenmore Elite Dryer from Sears at Southpark Mall, Strongsville, Ohio. This dryer was not cheap. Although I am very sorry I did not purchase the warranty plan. I did not, because in past years I never had trouble with Kenmore appliances. This dryer is so loud! I did call a few times to complain about it. I recommend that no one purchases this dryer. It has gotten to the point where it sounds like someone is beating it with a baseball bat! Unbearable. And finally it came to the point that I dont feel safe with it running. I am forced to purchase another new dryer! This one is only 5 yrs old now. This is a gas dryer and I am afraid of the thing actually blowing up in the house because the shaking and banging is so rough and loud. I feel it has already affected the gas line. Dont buy a Sears Kenmore Elite! An employee actually hung up on me 3 years ago when I complained about this dryer! This dryer is a safety issue in your home!
Kenmore Elite HE 4 - Since 2004 I bought the pair. It cost a lot over 2000 but worth every penny. I put a long term warranty on it. Worth every penny. My first front loader in over 20 years and I cant say enough about it. I have it serviced every year to be sure it is running right. I love this machine. I had the matching dryer but it was gas and when I sold my home I moved into an all electric apt. Would love to find that dryer. I had the stand for it. I carry a long term warranty on it. A great machine.
I am very satisfied with their products. They never fail me. They always get my stuff extra clean. My stuff always come out like brand new thats why I love my washer and dryer. My husband has never had a problem either. Were thinking about getting a newer version.
I have a Kenmore washer 11045986 400 and dryer that matches. Washer has broke for the third time and the dryer has a short in circuit board. I cannot wash clothes and these machines were very expensive and sears wants to charge me over 300 dollars for a service call when I already paid for the same problem.
The drum bearing of my 8-year old Kenmore washer with matching dryer went out. The cost of the part is $2. Service man quoted $972 to fix. What is Sears thinking? Plain obsolescence! Kenmore is not manufactured to have the bearing replaced. You have to buy the complete drum and spin basket. Ridiculous. Its built to fail in a Frigidaire plant. Dryer is designed to fit only another Kenmore product. So, I also have to buy a new dryer. Needless to say, it will not be Kenmore and it will not be purchased at Sears. I will buy a Meile washer and dryer and never buy from Sears again. No wonder they are failing. I would prefer to support local businesses, but until they realize consumers are tired of paying high prices for Chinese garbage, smart consumers will seek superior quality in brands made in Europe.
This dryer always returns clothes fully dry as long as you dont overfill it. Lighter settings are excellent for more delicate clothes and all of my elastic clothes have been fine on the lowest setting. I can usually fit everything I need in one load. Works well for single large items like comforters in a pinch (when I cant get to a laundromat). Easier if you dont do a load of all bulky items. It doesnt take up too much space in my garage and its appearance is fine. Plain white isnt my preference but this was on sale, and its decent-looking as far as basic dryers come. I got this item on sale so Id say the value is very good for the price I got it at. Dries my clothes fine. Doesnt ruin anything as long as you pick the right level before running it.
It was very easy to use, and clothes truly have no wrinkles. Large loads even dry extremely well, as do thicker fabrics, such as rugs or towels. Its capacity is more impressive than previous dryers, I was able to completely and efficiently dry my familys towels and washrags in one load. It looks sleek, and its simple color goes with any house aesthetic youre going for. It isnt a big eyesore either. It goes with anything. The price I paid for the dryer made me think that it would be a nice dryer, but it has exceeded my expectations. If I had known it would perform this well, I would have no issues paying more for it.
Very reliable with amazing performance. Impressive style and performance. Clothes get dry faster and retain their original softness. Always dependable getting the job done, even when its a big load of towels getting dry on the first time Ive seen! Towels and they are free to go. With a sleek and sophisticated appearance, there are no worries if someone would happen to see the laundry room. Nice color choice will go with any color scheme. Great performance at any price, but at what this dryer is priced is a steal. Although even double the price would still be worth it for the beginning of summer has started.
I have had my Kenmore washer and dryer for almost 2 years. I have only had to have one repair on my washer and it was a fluke accident. I have been very pleased with both machines and would buy the same ones again.
My first washer/dryer set was a Kenmore. They lasted me 28+ years before the washer died. I bought a new Kenmore Elite set that has a large enough capacity for all types of bedding, mattress covers, quilts, etc. It uses HE soap, doesnt require much. Takes longer to wash, but saves on water. I was told that washers lasting anywhere near what the older ones did are a thing of the past. The new ones, if youre lucky, will last 8 years. Mine is currently 2.5 years old, so Ill have to wait and see. Definitely would recommend Kenmore.
We bought the Kenmore 600 series washing machine to go with our Kenmore dryer less than 6 months ago. I have resorted to washing things twice with two rinses each and it still does not clean worth a damn. On top of that we are using clear HD detergent and yet our clothes are coming out with white spots on them. Never buy Kenmore again.
Kenmore is of the best choice of washing and drying machines but they do not last thirty years like washers and dryers used too. I for one am in need of New washer and dryer but can not afford one at this time. Have stretched self repair to my limits.
Loved the dryer, very fast - I can have dry clothes in 20 minutes. Also the wrinkle free setting is amazing - best part about it. Fits in a small space and works amazingly you should get it. I have had this machine for 4 years now. Had no one to come and repair the machine. Amazing product. It has not broken down or given up on me even when I have family over and do 10+ loads back to back. It looks great and it works great. The size of it is also great. It is also a great buck for space if you live in a small house - the space is amazing. The size and appended are great. It looks amazing. The money was worth what I got - it was a shiny nickel. I had a dryer before that was a couple years old and would always break down. I spent more repair that stupid thing than buy this awesome dryer.
Immediately once I bought it I knew that it would be easy to use. After trying it for my first time I was hooked and it did the trick as it washed all of our clothes extremely easily. So far it seems extremely durable and works like a charm. The only downside is that you still have to remember when to get your clothes out. The appearance is what most people seem to want in a washer/dryer, a good aesthetically pleasing coat of white with some chrome around certain spots. Its definitely worth the price even if others say it isnt. I use it almost every day for all of my kids and my wifes clothes so you know it does the job for the price.
This washer and dryer are relatively quiet and so far have done a great job of cleaning and drying. I had limited space, but these two fit in the space provided just fine. I had a front load washer from a different manufacturer, but the pump went out after only 3 years, so I decided to try another brand. I have been very pleased so for. I needed a washer and dryer that would fit my quilts and larger items and these do the trick. They are great for those everyday items as well. I have used this brand for many years on other electrics and have never been sorry. This set has a very clean appearance and easy to use dials - not intimidating at all. They also have all of the basic wash and dry options that I need without all the ones I probably would not use anyway. The price I paid was as I expected it to be and about average compared to other options like these. The set up went very well and quickly - no trouble. I have had much more expensive sets, but have found out that I was paying for things I really did not need.
Kenmore appliances are excellent. Ive had my Kenmore dryer for 15 years and its still running fine. Never had any problems with it. I also had a Kenmore washer that lasted for 12 years and it was running fine when we decided to replace it for a newer model with more features.
This dryer is spacious and keeps the clothes wrinkle-free. There is an alarm that sounds when the load is dry. It runs quietly and efficiently. Its very reliable. This dryer has been a real workhorse, drying queen-sized comforters, large loads of bath towels and full loads of hockey equipment. Yet it still turns out a small load of delicates as fresh and wrinkle-free. It is pretty standard as far as appearances go. Its the typical white color and has just the right amount of knobs needed to give load options. This has been a great deal for the money. We have gotten a lot of use of this for years now and we plan to have many more years of service yet to go.
Kenmore washer model 110.27102310. Purchased washer and dryer two months ago. Since day one, it has been loud, walks the floor and now its leaking oil. I have bought Kenmore appliances for over thirty years with great results. This washer is NOT KENMORE QUALITY! I have a Sears serviceman coming in two days. He will hear my wrath.... along with everyone else. Sadly disappointed in Kenmore and even more disappointed in Sears for selling this crap. It WILL catch up with them.
The dryer has adequately provided for the course of 6 years to date. It has proper drying levels which allow for delicates and towels and has served its purpose for a growing family. The dryer is particularly reliable. It has handled a family of seven as well as many other guests over the course of the years and has handled all imaginable load sizes. The appearance is nothing special and we dont expect much from clothes dryers really. We simply expect versatility, quick drying and the ease of load and remove especially when having children doing the bulk of the laundry. The value speaks for itself. Any dryer that can withstand the usage of a growing family of seven over the course of a couple decades is well worth its weight in gold.
Your clothes will be clean. However you seem to need to clean just the washer machine not too long after purchasing and after having it for a certain amount of time. My detergent seemed to dissolve nicely and smooth. My clothes didnt fade much after a few washes, however washer needs to be cleaned monthly. The washer and the dryer arent very eye catching, not that its about how pretty the machine is! The product will get your clothes clean and fresh in a nice minimum time. The value of the product is decent and good for a small family with little laundry to be cleaned weekly. With the right detergent you will have clothes very clean and wrinkle free.
Kenmore has always been a trusted brand. This is the 3rd Kenmore refrigerator Ive owned and my washer and dryer are also Kenmore. Never disappointed. It was the width I was looking for and a good price. Delivery was set up and arrived as scheduled. I like that the fridge is slim enough to fit into tight spaces and there is lots of room in the door for beverages. The freezer is surprisingly large enough to hold very large items. The glass shelving makes it easy to see whats in the back. But they could improve on their open door alarm, although handy as I have a child in the house who is very bad about not shutting the door, it is very sensitive for both the refrigerator and freezer doors but it comes on too soon. It can be shut off for a short time but there is no adjustment even through service technicians.
We have had the washer since 2003. It has been quite reliable and fits the needs of a family of four. I had it when my son, who was in sports and Naval Sea Cadet Corp, was living with us and it handled large amounts of VERY dirty laundry. While it washes very well, the spin cycle is awful. It leaves the clothes VERY wet and we often have to run the spin cycle several times before putting the clothes into the dryer. Also, the washer is very dated, plain and boring and has a cheap appearance. It does not have any redeeming qualities with regard to the aesthetics of the washer. But I believe that the washer is a good value for the price. It is a below base model – purely to perform a function.
Never a problem. Works quick as well and is easy to use. Probably one of the leading brands in the country. I do about seven loads a week. Works efficiently and never gives any problems. Seems priceless. Would recommend to anyone considering of getting a new one and is very valuable. Not so big, fits greatly and doesnt get dirty, real easy to clean, and love white as a color goes with everything. I have my dryer and washer side by side with not a lot of space. Very good pricing for this brand and is worth every penny. We all know repairs can be expensive so I would recommend this brand.
I love the timed sensors for the clothing being dried. Most dryers have the times setting (which this one does) but it is also very easy to over dry your clothes and then a burnt smell could happen. Delicates setting is perfect with the sensor. I love it. I have actually bought another one for my friend who had a terrible old dryer. Her clothes are no longer a burnt smell. The reliability of this dryer is just simply fantastic. It doesnt overheat. It runs very quiet. I love the front facing dryers. Its easier for me being short to grab and put items in the dryer. I love the circle look to it as well. Having top for some laundry folding space is wonderful too. The value of this product I too believe couldnt be any better. I am simply satisfied and wouldnt go with another dryer. Hopefully the quality and value pay off in the long run.
I had a Kenmore washer and dryer that worked great. They washed and dried my clothes fast. They never left a stingy odor in the clothes. They were easy to use and they lasted a very long time. We are a family of 6 so there is always clothes to wash. We wash every other day. There is uniforms and regular clothes, my husbands worked clothes and every time we washed we had the same great results - clean clothes with a fresh scent. This brand is innovative, smart, energy efficient. Its a brand that I have recommended to my family and they got it and liked it also.
Use it very easy and comfortable. I like it very much and I recommend this company. The dryer is also use very easy and comfortable. I like this brand and I love this brand and I am recommend this brand. This is very new and different. It is very unique, valuable.
I have had Kenmore as my preferred dryer for many years. These appliances do a great job of drying clothes. I would recommend this brand as I have been very happy with their performance and price. Kenmore appliances can usually be seen on sale during any holiday and the savings is great. This is the best value of all brands around. These dryers last many years. I have never had a warranty and I never have any problems until I have had them for at least 8 years. Also, they are nice dryers. I like the look of these appliances. The buttons are sturdy and not cheap at all. They are usually white and are very appealing.
I have never been so underwhelmed by a product. I dont notice it.. and thats how it should be. Id only notice it if it was broken, or my clothes werent coming out clean. I only have to do laundry once a week now, since I can get all my clothes in to my washer and then in to this dryer. It is very convenient. Why does a dryer need to look fancy? It looks clean and it fits in my closet and it is functional. It doesnt look chunky or trying too hard. This dryer has not given out on me yet, so I am happy with what I paid. Also, I got a warranty from the store, which is cool. Reliability adds to value.
Dependable, long lasting, power saving. The washer I had was given to me used and lasted for at least 10 years. The dryer saved me on time and money and also lasted at least 10 years. The washer was great as far as large loads of clothes. It did at least 3 pair of pants, 3 shirts and a few weeks worth of underwear in one load. I had a mobile home and the washer and dryer fit like a glove in the area that was made in the hall and it made the space look a lot brighter and more modern. The washing machine and dryer saved me a lot of money a month. It cost about 35 dollars a month to run both of them and saved me twenty bucks a month on gasoline for the car and it usually cost 60-70$ a month going to a laundry mat.
I have owned my Kenmore washer and dryer for 8 years now and absolutely love them. I have had no issues at all and both washer and dryer machines are very efficient. Im looking forward to buying another set soon and we will absolutely stay with the Kenmore brand.
The washer worked well enough. Clothes went in dirty and came out clean. The dryer also worked. Clothes were dried usually in one cycle, unless we put in an especially heavy load.
It only lasted us about a year and quit on us. It should work longer than that. What a rip-off. I had a refrigerator from Hotpoint that lasted me 14 years. Why cant a dryer last that long? It was a simple washing machine. It did not have all the digital stuff on it, which is the way I like them. I dont like all of those digital stuff on it. That makes it complicated. Not a very good value if you pay all that money and it only works a year. I would expect a digital one to break easier but this was one of the simple ones with just knobs on it. It should not have stopped when it did.
It works every time I use it so I am happy that I havent had to fix the dryer. My washer is me more and I havent had to get that fixed either. I am overall happy with my experience. My washer and dryer both seem to be very reliable. I do laundry every week and it always works for me. Sometimes it makes a loud noise but it seems to fix itself. I consider it reliable. I guess the appearance of my washer and dryer is fine. They are both placed in the basement so it doesnt matter very much. If we move them upstairs I will want more attractive machines. My value on these machines is very good because they were given to my boyfriend and I and we havent had to put any money into them to keep them working.
Top-notch. Has worked very well without problems and we feel that we have been very lucky. Easy to use as long as follow instructions and do not overload with too many clothes. We have followed the instructions very carefully and because of that we have been lucky and can count the problems we have had on one hand. Has been very reliable on a consistent basis. It is very plain looking, not too much to make it any different than any other washer or dryer. Easy to get into and get clothes out. Value has been incredible as we have only had to use service people a few times. Price we paid so long ago would be impossible to replace for half the price we paid.
My Kenmore Calypso is 14 years old. No work EVER done on it. If it broke down tomorrow I cannot complain. My appliance repairman came out to work on my ice maker and he said I must be the only pet on planet Earth that has not had a problem with that washer but again no problems. My dryer is a Whirlpool with knobs. No electronics, it is 10 years old electric dryer. No problems ever.
I needed something to clean my laundry, and at the time Kenmore is all I could afford because I have just moved to another State and I have never gotten another one since this has held up for about 6 years now, and they were used 5 years before we got the set. I hope they will hold up a lot longer. Just until I pay off some of my other bills, I will use this set as long as it holds up. The washer is a top loader, the dryer has the door on the front, and they both do the job I need them to do. I do about 8 loads a laundry every 2 weeks since there is only 2 of us in the household. They are good for the price we paid for them, and would get them from the same company again when we need to get another set. Hopefully I will not need them for a while.
It washes all my clothes and keeps them smelling fresh for longer. It is also gentle on softer fabrics and doesnt cause intimates to fall apart. It is also very convenient and easy to use. It provides the best value for what its worth. The machine has been working for 2 years and has not had any serious malfunctions and works as if its brand new. It looks modern and new. Every time I have people over, people are always complimenting and talking about how good the washer looks in the room. Fits the house perfectly. Totally worth the price. I would not pay anything less for a better value. If I had the option to choose another dryer, I would still choose the same brand.
