Purchased in July, 2013 for almost $3,000. April, 2015, compressor went out. Since it was out of warranty, we had to pay for new compressor. That lasted 3 months, then another 2 times replaced the compressor. Then, in August, 2015, the computer went out. At our expense, once again, we have replaced the computer. Since that time, refrigerator has constantly had temp fluctuations. Refrigerator part goes between 45-55 degrees. Same repair company told us we have a freon leak. It has been charged 4 times & today they said they cant find a leak so it has to be something else - but they dont know what it is. Pretty sad to have been a faithful Sears customer for over 40 years & now Sears tells us - Oh well...too bad!

Fridge did the job that it was supposed to do. Our food was kept cold until we wanted to use it, many times for a week. All of our drinks were kept very cold. We had no leakage from under the fridge which was the main problem with our old one. This fridge blends in well with the decor of our kitchen. We also have a small freezer on the top which keeps everything frozen forever. Neither the fridge or freezer need to be cleaned out very often. I just like my fridge.

It lasted me a good time. It was very spacious. I could fit anything it. Went well with my kitchen decor. It has a very sleek look. Kenmore is great product. The size fitted my need. I was able to fit a whole Thanksgiving turkey will all my everyday necessities. If I ever move it will come with me. It was a hard decision to choose but I think I got the best one. My Kenmore was expensive but with the warranties and great deals it was all worth it. I dont regret how much I paid and I am excited for the refrigerator I have.

It is very durable and works well. Its sturdy and never has any issues. It will last longer than your average refrigerator and it has lots of interesting features and functions. It is a good price and not too big or not too small. Its not a hazard and it doesnt take up too much room in the kitchen. I think everyone should buy this type of refrigerator. I think the modern design is very cool. It has an interesting model to it and its very appealing to the buyer and its worth buying. It is a great price for what it is. I think the value is great on this refrigerator. Its got a sleek design and it is long lasting. It seems like it will last longer than any refrigerator Ive ever owned and thats a good thing.

I honestly love my fridge. Its large, roomy and keeps everything inside it nice and cool. I love how the bottom chamber opens and forms more space. I like that the freezer is on the bottom, as opposed to the top and that it isnt one of those side loading type ones. I also like that water dispenser.

Got this refrigerator brand new. It broke down after only 2 years. It took the guy 3 times to fix it partly because I dont think they knew what they were doing. Now the strip that supposed to keep the doors closed and the cold air in is coming off so if I dont keep checking it the food in my freezer starts melting.

I too spent my hard earned dollars to purchase a Kenmore bottom mount refrigerator. Within two years of purchase it began leaking water onto my kitchen floor. Not only is this problematic in terms of actually having cold storage for our food but a hazard. Having been unaware of the problem, I took a major dive on the kitchen floor when I slid in the puddle of water. One more reason to BEWARE of purchasing from Sears. Seems like Sears will not change their irresponsible practices until a law suit forces them to do so.

Wanted a side by side; like the refrigerator haven’t had any issues with it, like that top shelf slides out. Some containers you can’t stand up straight, the freezer is small & narrow, things fall through the grates on the shelf. It is 16 years old & sometimes you would just like to have a newer model.

I purchased my Kenmore refrigerator model #596.69313010 less than a year ago. I was not happy with how noisy it is. There is very little room in the refrigerator. Last week the door starting rusting and its spreading. Poor quality. Rust isnt covered under my warranty.

I loved the alarm on the door. It was very helpful with my special needs daughter who only partially shut the door. Plus I loved having the filter for water and ice. I loved that it wasnt too large. For me the size was perfect. I needed that space as my daughter and husband ate a lot. Previous refrigerators were too small for me. I purchased this one specifically for its size. I was going for a stainless steel look in all my appliances and I started with this refrigerator. I love the Kenmore brand. All of my appliances will be Kenmore stainless steel. The amount I paid for this refrigerator was a little extra and that was only because I had purchased it through a rental place. Had I purchased it through Sears and my credit were better at the time, I would have paid less for it.

The Kenmore refrigerator is a high quality appliance. It keeps my food and the freezer does well also. The temperature was very easy to adjust with the well designed button inside of the fridge. It have space to put items on the door. It has three layers of shelves with storage for vegetables and fruits at the bottom of the Kenmore refrigerator. It has self cleaning freezer also. It is good value for the money and great service to my family and I. It has a nice ivory color, two doors and fits nicely in my kitchen. The doors close confidently and you dont have to force it. Everyone who visit me make pleasing compliments. When they need an refrigerator they wanted to get a Kenmore brand. I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone.

Kenmore 596 fridge now close to five years old. Within year one, ice maker broke (repaired twice and then replaced). Year two, water leaking on the floor caused by automatic defrost clogged drain plug. Replaced drain plug, defrosted ice dam and fixed ice maker - Sears repair bill = $225. Ice maker stopped working two weeks later. Year 4 - compressor dies. Sears repairman here 3 times over 3 weeks - freon leak - unrepairable. Repairman had to request approval for new fridge. We need to wait 36 hours for answer. 20 days without fridge. Unacceptable.

It lasts a very long time. I love the ice maker in the refrigerators left door. Another cool thing about the fridge is that it has a lot of space for any groceries you buy. The size is very amazing. When I first got it, it surprised me. The best part about it, it keeps everything nice and cool inside the fridge. The Kenmore 50023 has a very nice appearance. It just pops out in my kitchen. When a family member, or a friend comes over, he/she asks me how did I get it. The value on the Kenmore 50023 isnt that good but it definitely beats other refrigerator prices. I would give it a 5/10 on value and price.

One refrigerator was on recall, but we knew nothing about it. Even the service man said he was unaware of the recall. It took months to have it repaired. We moved and bought a new refrigerator. Our new fridge had problems with icing up in the bottom freezer. We took care of that problem and now months later it will not keep anything cool in the main part of the fridge. The fridge is 2 years old. Very frustrating. Model number 596 699 52011.

The Kenmore Refrigerator was on sale, looked very nice and easy to upkeep. It went very well with my kitchen layout and saved some space, and fit into the home I was at at the time. It also looked good with our other appliances. However, I dislike how small it was, there was a ice maker but it didnt work well and took up a lot of the room in the freezer which wasnt ideal. Also, it would hold onto finger marks or stains on the inside. Nevertheless, I like the pull out drawers. When it was brand new it looked sleek. It held a lot of food and had a good amount of space to be able to have lots of different foods in specific areas of the fridge. And I would purchase again.

We had a Sears store close by for many years and usually purchased all of our appliances from them. The line of appliances was fairly wide and there were adequate choices to make a decision for the model we desired. The Kenmore refrigerator was spacious in capacity, had good produce space and I liked the ice and water dispenser options that it offered. I also liked the color options because I wanted it to match my other black appliances. However, I was disappointed in the performance of this refrigerator because it broke down after only 2 years and then I could not get immediate service for it. Serviceman came, but then didnt have parts for a repair even though we gave a full description of what part had failed before the serviceman came. We would not repurchase a Kenmore refrigerator.

The Kenmore Refrigerator works well, hasnt broken down, keeps everything fresh. Its crisp white, easy to clean, perfect in size, not too big or small, fits beautifully in my medium sized kitchen. Plenty of great shelves, great space, and its easy to organize the food. Perfect look for any kitchen. It has great value, its worth the space, look, and storage and cooling capability. The price was right for what its worth. Never shut down on me.

This refrigerator was good quality, it was reliable. Would of enjoyed one of the stainless steel models with the sleeker look and more modern design, but this fridge was fine. It was easy to keep clean even though its white. Also, it was a good size for my family (myself, husband, and one child). There was plenty of room and extra for everything we need. I tend to cool a few big meals on Sunday to last a few days and need to store it in large tupperware or pots and that can take up a lot of room but I had it with this fridge. We had it for years with no problems and I didnt feel like this fridge option was overpriced. I like this brand and its a trusted name so I felt comfortable with what we were purchasing. I would recommend this fridge and this brand.

Its great and never stops working on me. It never defrosts or freezes up as well. The sticks on the computer never get loose either. It also has a great price. The size is big and can fit all of my food especially the refrigerator. It never lets my stuff get too hard or moldy either. I can fit a lot of food in there also. The appearance is nice. Its gray color and it looks fancy and up to date. A lot the gray color doesnt fade and the stainless steel doesnt get rusty or mold on it. The value is great and I got it at a discounted price because Im a loyal customer at a particular store. Also the squad came into my home and set it up for me.

We bought this 3500.00 refrigerator, and within the first 2 years that we owned it, the compressor went out. They had to replace the compressor twice, then refrigerator not cooling, was collecting ice behind the produce section, they cleared that out, freezer started doing the same thing. They ended up replacing the mother board. So far ever since they did the replacement of the 2nd compressor we have to call them out about once a month. RIDICULOUS!!!! I dont think that their service experts have any clue what they are doing. After replacing the mother board last month, September we are now at the end of October and we are having to have them out again because temp in refrigerator is too warm. I will say that the 500.00 GE refrigerator we had to purchase to keep stuff cold after our 3500.00 refrigerator broke down the first time, and they would not service for 9 DAYS.... has never had any trouble.

I dont experience any performance problem. The refrigerator function is outstanding, energy saving, and good performance, is a recommended refrigerator. Excellent, no big size but not small, easy to moving in kitchen, good as other refrigerator of other brands, perfect for apartments. Chrome appearance, beautiful gloss, easy to clean, no scratches and good for apartments and houses. Unique modern appearance. All family members like it. Good price, good performance for the value. If you like a good model and good price, you need this refrigerator. Just buy it.

I’ve had my mini refrigerator with freezer for 18 years now. And the only thing that broke on it was the thermostat switch broke. This refrigerator was and to me still the best interiorly designed mini fridge and freezer ever made. It’s getting so old now, that’s why I’ve decided to by a second one for the 3 time in 18 years. Just to have in the basement, but they all suck in design and they really do not last long at all????! But the one in my room just keeps on fighting like a muscle car???? Kenmore please bring back the old mini interior design and quality... Please!

Our kenmore bottom mount refrigerator Type BMA 19F is leaking water on the hardwood floor. The refrigerator is not even 2 years old. What do we do? This could wreck our floor and of course the warranty is finished.

I purchased a high end Kenmore Elite refrigerator and it worked great for a total of 18 months before the compressor died. I kept trying to call Sears support (non-support) and I kept getting people in India that could hardly speak English. After days of contacting, I finally got a response from support on Twitter. They gave me a contact number to call. Of course it was once again India and when going over the issue again they said I had no warranty. I explained it was a Kenmore 5 year warranty for the compressor and they said no. Anyway, they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. Two days later I get an automated call from Sears to call them at that same India 800 number. The automated menu system said I have no appointment. After pressing 0 a dozen times I get to talk to someone that could almost speak English and they said they have to reschedule my appointment which will be 2 weeks out. I had no other choice at this point. All of my food is ruined so I went out and bought another $800.00 fridge just to get by while my $2899.99 fridge sits dead waiting for service. The tech came out and said he will have to order the compressor and it will cost me an extra $330.00 to have it installed AND that it will only last about a year and a half. Well... I am screwed! Thanks for the hard time screwing Sears, Kenmore and LG! I found that these refrigerators are actually LG.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator and Freezer set in August of 2013 while living in Guatemala, Central America. The units were floor models, but since Sears offered a guarantee, I was sure they would stand behind their product. After remodeling the kitchen to accommodate the side-by-side refrigerator and freezer set and a day or so after installing them, the relay of the refrigerator began making louder-than-normal clicking noises that could be heard throughout the house, but the refrigerator would not start even though the temperature had risen inside. The freezer sweat and frost formed on the inside of the door and filled the empty space within the outside and inside layers of the door.The servicemen Sears sent never stayed long enough to listen to the refrigerator start a cycle and, I was told later, that they never recorded their visits with Sears. Only I had records. It was all very suspect and upsetting. When the guarantee was up, all of a sudden they knew what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. I wrote to Kenmore and the CEO of Kenmore and visited Sears repeatedly, certain they would take care of the problems since they had existed from the beginning. I was given the run-around or never responded to. I had the case number #** with Sears Customer Solutions Department and the account number ** with the Protection Agreement Group in the U.S. and was sent a $50. gift card for any inconvenience experienced.I have had to have servicemen out more than TWENTY times and have been without a refrigerator and or freezer for weeks at a time. On the refrigerator, I have had to pay to replace the relay twice, the compressor once, the timer twice, the thermostat at the beginning of 2019, and now it is leaking oil from the compressor from faulty soldering where the copper tube connects with the refrigerator.I have had to send the freezer door to the shop twice. Their solution was to stuff the space within the door with styrofoam, but the frost continues to form around it, causing the door to be extra heavy. They never sealed the layers of the door so humidity wouldnt get in. And the freezer sweats on the outside between the units even though I have them separated by a few inches. I have never had such terrible service, and, had I not remodeled the kitchen for the appliances and could find a set with the same dimensions, I would get rid of the Kenmore Elites.

Sears has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We bought a refrigerator from a hometown store. It never got colder than 45 degrees. Tech came, ordered parts. Parts on back order for over 1 month. I asked for my money back. Some parts arrived. I had to call multiple times, never a call or email from Sears. Waiting to hear about refund and find out I’m not “eligible “ for refund. Won’t help me until I return the parts- which no one told me until today. Hometown store owner tried to call on my behalf and they refused to speak with her. So now I’m waiting again until they receive the parts before they will replace the unit. Who knows how long it will be before I have a working unit. Paid $1300 for a brand new appliance, it doesn’t work, they won’t give my money back and they are dragging out replacement. DONT BUY FROM SEARS!

When we purchased this refrigerator in June of 2015 as part of our kitchen remodeling project, we decided to invest a bit extra to get an appliance that was on the higher end of the product line as we wanted something formidable that would last and serve us well. After two years it would be difficult to be more disappointed with the decision to purchase this particular appliance. Though we havent had an issue with the basic cooling function of the refrigerator or freezer, the rest of the items is slowly falling apart. The ice maker began to fail within a year and now it is completely non functional. The plastic that held the spring loaded door flange has broken off so we need to manually move the flange each and every time we close the refrigerator. Also, door compartments have broken off and need to be held on with tape. This refrigerator is only two years old but parts have broken or snapped off as though it were many many years older. The overall engineering and choice of materials of this appliance is extremely poor and non durable, particularly for a higher-end model. I would strongly dissuade anybody that I cared about from making the same mistake we did in purchasing this refrigerator.

Had everything you could want in a refrigerator. Worked well all times of the year. Plenty of room in the doors and the freezer as well. Had enough room in the doors for anything you wanted to put in there and the freezer had enough space to hold months worth of meat/veggies. Stainless steel exterior that had a very sleek look that fits in with any decor that your kitchen may have. Not too big that it overwhelms the room as well. Was less expensive than other brands that were of similar size and quality. Came with an extended warranty for free as well which was greatly appreciated.

This refrigerator always kept our food at the exact temperature that we wanted. Construction was top notch and it generally gave the impression of quality. I would, and did, buy this brand again. Our refrigerator was designed very well with some really nice features like gallons and 2 liters in the door, and convenient locations for butter and eggs. The interior and exterior were both visually appealing and all surfaces were well made and easy to clean. Our kitchen looked its best with this refrigerator in it. Thanks to great material choices and quality construction by Sears, this refrigerator looked like it was worth much more than it actually cost.

Kenmore is backed by Sears which seems dependable company. The refrigerator was with a good warranty. Living on a small island there used to be a Sears repairman in case of problems. When I bought my condo the refrigerator was already there. The white freezer on top kept the ice cubes and kept ice cream cold. Produce remained crisp and meat was good temperature. It also blended in the kitchen quite well. However, it should have a finish so fingermarks dont show, have designer colors, and have more shelves in the freezer department. It also should be easy to pull out so can clean behind it. It needs lights in the freezer compartment too.

I bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago for $1500. Within the first few weeks, the motherboard went out. The repair guy said that it was a good thing it was on warranty because a new one would have been $900. Three plus years later, the seal system died. Compressor, good; motherboard, good; motor, good. Cooling, nada. Called Sears. Im not under warranty. They want $99 to diagnose and couldnt be there for 3 days. Called another local repair with a great reputation. He checked it out, diagnosed the problem and said they should cover the seals for five years, but, even if they picked up the cost of the parts (what a warranty would do), it would still be $1200 to repair. Another repair company confirmed. He suggested I call Kenmore directly. That is impossible. You get routed back to Sears. I used to count on Kenmore for all my appliances. No more. What a piece of junk.

I had a Kenmore refrigerator for over 25 years. It was the best one I have ever owned. Any Kenmore appliance will last for years. It is the best you will ever own if you purchase one. I never had to replace any parts or have any repairs done to it. It just kept working and working. It was big enough to hold anything I ever needed it to hold. Kenmore refrigerators may cost a bit more than other brands, but it is well worth the extra money because it will last what seems like an eternity.

Great performance and keeps stuff cool and fresh. Easy to use and definitely one of the best appliances that I have used. Never had any problems. Large size that is able to fit everything that I buy because it is easy to use and I have no problems using it all. Definitely worth the price paying for it. Would recommend to anyone. Great appearance and shiny. Outside easy to clean up and no hand marks left on the refrigerator after using it. Worth the value to use and keep on a daily basis. Kenmore is a top brand I trust because over the years I have purchased their appliances, they have work liked a pro. Kenmore is a market of solid constructed appliances you cant go wrong with. Nothing can change the best brand on the market, it has good history and value. It was priced Right and worked for my everyday needs. Other brands I have bought in the past have and cannot stand up to Kenmore brand. I still have my very first Kenmore in my garage as a second refrigerator and it still runs perfect. However, the Kenmore refrigerator was too small for my household and it did not have any other available colors to choose from. Saying that, I would purchase again if they had more sizes and choices for a reasonable price.

I purchase Kenmore Elite refrigerator with bottom freezer 5/12/15 approx.: $ 1,500.00, the first few week foods on the shelves was freezing. I called Sears and after long waiting technician came and stated the temperature has defect. He change the temperature from 0/37 to 8/46. The condition did not improved and I did call again, but fruitless. Now the refrigerator smell toxic odor and give me headache. I called Sears, and finally repairman arrived, and stated the inside foam is defect. It needs to be replaced and cost $ 550.00. I told him this is manufacture defects as Sears has 10 years warranty for defects. He refused to replace the foam. I am very unhappy with Sears appliances, I cannot afford to buy new refrigerator, I am senior citizen with low income. This is abuse, unfair, and it is Sears responsibility to not sell defect appliances, instead take advantages from elders. Shame to Sears...

I purchased a Kenmore for several reasons. It is a brand that has great name recognition. I was looking for a smaller width refrigerator and the Kenmore line had a size I needed and had all the special features I was looking for even though it was a smaller size. The water filter is easy to change because of its location. Glass shelves are important too. They are easy to clean and so much better than the wire shelving. The vegetable drawers are deep and I like the fact that they are clear. The refrigerator is super quiet too. The ice maker really does a good job too. The location of the ice bin on the door is a feature I appreciate. Im able to see the quantity of ice and I can also remove the bin easily if needed! I just really wish they would have several lights in the freezer. For some reason I always manage to block the light with my placement of the frozen items. I also am not happy with the bottom door shelf. I find that the depth is a little too small.

Do not buy any refrigerator from Kenmore. They do not stand behind their products. I have a two year old refrigerator (Kenmore elite refrigerator) that has rust spots all over the outside doors that should be a defect in the material but they refuse to do anything about it.

We bought it years ago from Sears warehouse. Slightly scratched. We have had no problems since. It still looks pretty nice. Stainless steel with curved handles. We do not need ice makers or bottom freezer. I would like a more shallow fridge if we renovate but I would only replace it because of that.

My compressor failed twice within 5 years. The extended warranty had just run out the second time, so we decided not to pay the $600+ to replace it. The ordeal in just getting the first one was horrible - we were without a fridge for weeks. Then we found out 7 months later that it was also failing! Never buy LG/Kenmore refrigerators!

I bought this fridge 8 years ago & havent had any problems. Now with Sears closing, I dont know what Ill buy next time. The last Kenmore fridge I had lasted 20 years.

It runs quiet, keeps the food fresh, only need cleaning maintenance once every six month. I have had not a big problem with the refrigerator. The defrost resistance was changed once. It is the perfect size for a small family of 3 to 4 persons. It can fit all of my needed items and it is possible to adjust the thermostat to keep the food in a perfect state. It has a very attractive appearance, it does not occupies a large space in the kitchen. The ice dispenser has a good appearance. The cabinets inside have the ideal shape to keep meats well refrigerated while having a nice appearance. It has a very good value for the money I paid. It has had only one failure due to electrical problems not related with the refrigerator itself. The maintenance is very easy, only cleaning and basic visual checking.

Happy is the feeling I get when I see the refrigerator up and running for the last 7 years. Dependable is what I feel! Have had no problems with it and its been running for more than 7 years and a residence move. Its an appliance I shouldnt feel that I have replace because of it not working but of the Women aspect. Over the years some women and men stop loving the refrigerator and want a new one to match the home. Now this is what you have to look for. The refrigerator will last as long as your home does. Its that simple!

I was searching for a site that demonstrated unclogging that drain that causes water to leak all over the floor on my Kenmore French door refrigerator w/ the bottom drawer freezer and I ran across this site. By the number of people that have had problems with this, you would think Sears would recall it. Maybe we should go in on a class action lawsuit. The refrigerator wasnt cheap and its really bad publicity for Sears, who usually does thorough testing before putting a product on the market. I dont know what happened but Im beginning to think I need to put this unit in the trash and go for something else. Its already ruined my floor.

Bought our refrig off sales floor at reduced cost Sears store. There were no visible signs that it was bumped or bruised, but it was a good deal and has met our needs. It has a side by side design so that the freezer section is easy to access and readily see its contents.

It keeps really cool. Love the storage and its very quiet which is my favorite choice. Water filter seems to last a long time and I never had any leaks. but, it does not have much freezer space and seems too deep and it tends to lose food in it. Perfect fridge area and I love the movable shelves but I wish it had more door space on freezer door. Also, I love the black and the smudge proof. I cant see hand prints. Solid build and sturdy handles. It has shine and is easy to clean. Perfect size and width. Overall, it was well worth the cash I paid for it.

We bought a Kenmore refrigerator just over one year ago, and now it wont stay cold (this was our 3rd fridge because the first two broke down leaking within the first couple weeks. They were under warranty so they were replaced). Anyhow, this third fridge lasted a whole year.... ridiculous. We spent $1,000 on the appliance. Average lifespan of a fridge is about 7 years. Our warranty was one year, therefore we had no warranty left. When trying to call to talk to someone I could never get through EVER. I tried several times. I then tried the chat service. I made an appt (only time available was a month out). I tried several times through the chat service to complain about the fact that we have only had it a little over one year. No one could help me, they would just say sorry, for the inconvenience. I continued to get the runaround. They would just send me to all different departments via the chat service.I also tried four different phone numbers (that were either given to me on their online chat service or phone numbers I saw on online) however, ALL the different phone numbers linked me back to the same automated service. I was on hold for over one hour and hung up because no one answered. NO ONE helped me. I am shocked. Since we have only had the fridge for a little over a year, I felt that it would be nice to talk to someone about this and hope to get some sort of discount. Never will I ever purchase a Kenmore appliance again. Awful support and customer service. I have never written a negative review before so please take this in consideration. I would hate for anyone to waste as much time as I did.

I have never had any problems with my Kenmore refrigerator. I had always had great performance. Have had for many years and it has been very reliable. Just the right size for my household. It fits perfectly with my kitchen space and has always been able to fit everything I need inside. My fridge is an older model so I dont really love the appearance. I have probably had it for a good 10 years or so. It is white but I would like to upgrade to a newer stainless steel version that includes a water dispenser. I am happy with the value. It was already in the house when I moved in and was bought by the previous owners. It has always worked great though.

Very nice side by side refrigerator. Holds a lot but I would rather have a under freezer. They seem to hold more. Lots of problems with my ice maker which broke right after my warranty!

They never gave me any problems. Never understood some specifications but didnt really need to. Flawless. I would recommend this to everyone. The size could have been better. Some things dont fit inside the freezer area. Otherwise it is an excellent decision. Slick and incredible. Fits perfectly with the kitchen. It was improbable for me to find something bad about the entire look. Simplistic and useful. Great Buy. VALUE is eccentric. It is incredible how good this Refrigerator - it is one of the best products I have purchased in the last 10 years.

Throughout the years my family has purchased many Kenmore appliances from the time I was little to the present, and we have always been more than satisfied with the performance and quality of all of them including the refrigerators. They have great warranties and great service people. All in all, I must say they are one of the best manufacturers of home appliances built.

I love my Kenmore refrigerator. It is over 10 years old and still working like brand new. My frozen stuff stays at the perfect temperature and I do not have to defrost it which is an added bonus. And my ice machine works great because we go through a lot of ice here in Texas. The refrigerator works great too. The vegetable drawer keeps all my vegetable really crisp for a lot longer than the GE refrigerator I had previously. It was also a good value and I do not see having to purchase a new refrigerator in the near future. Also I still have not needed to have it serviced but I know if I do that the customer and repair would be as good as the refrigerator.

This refrigerator was the perfect size to meet all the needs of a mid-size family. Simple white color and nothing fancy but certainly a pleasant addition to any kitchen. I believe you can get other colors also to match any decor of your kitchen. Also, no thrills or frills but just perfect to meet your needs to keep your food safe and fresh. The value of a refrigerator is not only its purchase price but more importantly in its reliability and its reliability was beyond compare to other refrigerators we have owned. It has lasted for years and Kenmore is a brand to trust.

Havent stopped on me yet, works just fine. Freezer doesnt hold much but enough food. Gets cold real fast. Beverage if you leave in freezer for about 5 minutes they will be froze. Size a decent size but freezer doesnt hold as much food as I want it to. I have to keep going to the store for meats. Other than that its great. Work just fine. Pretty nice. All black is the best one. Fits right in its place. Gives the kitchen a nice elegant look. All colors look good. Freezes good. The value a little high for the size but it will work. Always catch it on sale. Look good. Ok for the price I guess.

When I bought my new home, I purchased a Kenmore side by side refrigerator, model # 253.5569907. Yes, the warranty has expired, so, it seems that Sears is willing to gouge me for any money they can. The enamel around the bottom of the ice dispenser is bubbling and rusting… much like a car would that has been through snow and road salt. Since Id received an invitation to renew my warranty, I decided to ask about the rust. I was transferred to 3 different operators. The last one finally told me that there was no recall on my model. I was told that I could pay for a technician to come and look at the door. (I know what rust looks like.) Also, to fix the door, perhaps the door could be replaced at my cost, of course. IF theres a site listing recalls of SEARS products, I CANNOT find it!!! Ive never known a refrigerator door to rust away. I do know that when I replace my appliances or anything else, I would think long and hard before shopping at Sears.

Highly effective for use indoors and during seasonal celebrations. It has enough space to store up food items. It produces ice for making smoothies and iced cold water when needed. Easy to clean and efficient in cooling and freezing produce. Two door compartments. With ice block and cold water compartment on the outside for the production of ice and cold water. The fridge compartment is inevitable at all times. Very useful for the storage system required for produce. The height and width are just as needed for the purposes for which it is designed. The color of my refrigerator is bronze and shiny. The handle is white and it is made of a durable plastic handle. All of these add to the overall satisfactory needs of my refrigerator. Well, my refrigerator is of a great value in the interest of my household and kitchen appliances. All that is needed easily fits in and we do not struggle with not enough space at all.

I really like and prefer the side by side doors rather than the classic top and bottom. Ice and water dispenser is also a must have. Another important feature I look for is adjustable shelves. No one person is the same and the same goes for food organization in your refrigerator. This Kenmore refrigerator caught my attention because the sale price and the features I previously described. However, I dont care much for stainless steel anymore as I find it more difficult to keep clean and looking nice with children in the home. This refrigerator is also very heavy and hard to move. Once a year I do spring cleaning and my previous refrigerator was quite easy to move to clean around. This thing is a beast and took both my husband and myself to move for five minutes of cleaning. There should be some kind of wheels or something to assist in this.

Bought a Kenmore Elite Fridge in December 2013, when remodeling our kitchen. The compressor went last week, June 2019, and there is no 10 year warranty on Sears LG compressors. LG Canada was useless and stated even though it is their product, they are not responsible for its compressor. It’s a $3,500 fridge and we’re out the major cost of a new compressor. A class action suit in the USA gives us food for thought. Don’t buy Kenmore Appliances and especially not LG Appliances.

While the company can claim this is only cosmetic, I paid $2666.44 for this refrigerator and the brown spots are increasing weekly. It worked well. It was of the low end models but worked amazing. There was little to not be happy with except it wasnt a fancy fridge and small freezer space but overall was a very good fridge.

We bought a Kenmore Elite 27.5 cu ft refrigerator 3 years ago. It stopped cooling and a service technician came out the next day and replaced the compressor. This fixed the problem for 3 days when it went bad again and we were told the new compressor was bad. We waited 10 days for the next service call when we were told that it was not the compressor, but an internal leak which was not under warranty and we needed to replace the entire unit. Our last refrigerator lasted more than 10 years without a problem. Even at 3 years, I would not have expected an epic failure that could not be repaired requiring us to purchase an entirely new unit. Disappointed in the lack of longevity of the unit. Will not buy Kenmore again.

Worked for a very long time. Only reason I got a new was because we moved and it was too small. We got another one just like it except bigger. It was fine for a couple. Once we had our children we needed a bigger one. We love our fridge and would never want to even try another brand. Why fix whats not broke. Very stylish. They gave us plenty of colors to choose from so you can find any color to match your kitchen. I love the stainless steel. It looks sleek and professional. You get what you pay for. Some can be a little bit pricey but in the long run it is definitely worth it. I am very picky on what I pay for so Im glad I found one worth the money.

Works great, never have had any problems with this model of fridge. It serves its purpose. Was great for making ice, had one of the shortest times for making it. Also had plenty of freezer room, which most fridges do not have. Just wish I would have splurged and gotten one with ice dispenser and water dispenser. Overall I have enjoyed this unit to the fullest. The size served my needs and uses. Had plenty of freezer space, and could make ice cubes relatively quick. Also could hold 2 gallons of milk at a time and still have room for other necessary items. The appearance of this fridge is very sharp. Very classical look while being able to have enough room for all other items needed. It fit well with the look of my kitchen. The value of this fridge is great for the money. It is an economical appliance that is worth the money. Have had other fridges not worth the money spent on.

Kenmore Coldspot Model # 106-62152110 - I have had Kenmore appliances all my life and never have I had one go belly up in less than 3 years, most lasted 20 years or more. We bought a side by side, a stand up freezer and an extra refrigerator for our pantry, which was the last one we bought and it was 11/11. About 2 months ago it began not cooling right and had to be turned up and even then the freezer was not freezing. Ice cream was like milk and things in the refrigerator spoiled. We live out of town, 40 miles to Costco, so like to avoid that trip by having this extra appliance. It took them two weeks to get a repairman then he said it could take up to 3 or more weeks to repair as it was a major coolant leak and may not be cost effective. Since the warranty had passed I was pretty much told too bad, so sad. This is not a Wal-Mart coffee maker or curling iron. Since when can you not expect a refrigerator to last more than 2.5 years? In talking to the Solutions dept I was told they have no phone # for the corporate office and I had no other place to turn. What a joke. Sears has turned in to another corporate bully.

My Kenmore worked well for the first year but after that it started freezing up at the bottom and then melting and leaking water. I would clean everything out and it would work ok for a while and do it again. I had to replace it. That kind of appliance should work for more than a couple of years.

My Kenmore refrigerator works very well. Keeps my food fresh. Fits a lot of food, 2 crisper drawers for vegetables which does not dry out your veggies. Has a great a lot of room especially on the top shelf. Adjustable shelving, easy to use temperature controls. This refrigerator is very spacious, especially the top shelf. Enough for milk and all your other tall bottles. Refrigerator is just the right size has so much room and is very very clean, white and fresh looking. Easy to keep clean. I have owned this refrigerator for at least 5 years and no color discolor from wear and tear. Just as white as brand new. This refrigerator is great for what you get. If you are looking for a great refrigerator without all the bells and whistles this fridge is for you. My partner and I love this fridge. So impressed with what we got. Paid a great price. We feel we have a fridge fit for a king.

My Kenmore is a side by side 25 cu. ft purchased at Sears. I love the storage space which I can customize, adjustable shelves and automatic defrost. The only bone I have to pick with this refrigerator is that you have to change the filter for the water dispenser approximately every six months. If you dont, it would probably take about an hour to fill a glass of water, lol.

I am very happy with this refrigerator because it runs quietly, keeps everything cold and requires very little maintenance. This refrigerator is 15 years old and has never been repaired. It works perfectly. I have never had a problem with it.

Weve never had any problems. Easy to clean and organize. Great size for the price and very energy efficient. Both light bulbs last a long time. It is more than adequate for our needs. It is also adjustable to make the shelf space for different sized items. Its so perfect for our family. Its very basic and white. It looks like a normal refrigerator and fits in with the decor of our apartment level kitchen. The rectangular shape fits well. It was reasonably priced and does the job. It fits our budget and lifestyle well.

Have found this to be a great refrigerator! Great price. Tried Bosch products. Was very disappointed, also tried KitchenAid, always go back to Kenmore! What more can I say! Makes ice great! A little noisy when ice clinks in container.

I bought a Kenmore refrigerator freezer on bottom. About a year after I bought it, a few months past warranty it starts leaking on my new floor. After troubleshooting everything, I google it, bad drainage, complaints since 2005 on this. There is no recall! Sears keeps selling this crap, I had my old side by side GE for almost 25 years, so excited to buy a new one, and its leaking after a year. I will never buy another thing from sears, they want to charge me 100$ to asset it and more to fix it. Guess thats how they make their money. I hate my new fridge because Sears made a piece of crap appliance, and wont stand by any of their products.

I have had a Kenmore Side-by-Side refrigerator, model #795-5102, since 2010 and it has worked great and is still going strong! I love my Kenmore Side-by-Side! It is my first side-by-side and it is nice, nice, nice. It runs quiet, and I love the room in the door!

It has been working great for over 10 years! It has enough room for all the food and can move shelves when needed! I drink a lot of water and the ice machine has no problem keeping up with me and my family! My past machine couldnt and the water would freeze!

I like its water and ice dispenser, and that its large and roomy. I also liked the compartment for milk as well as large compartments on the doors. However, the water dispenser kept breaking and had to be fixed. I also thought that the freezer space was weird and not big enough that many foods did not fit well. I was surprised at how cramped the freezer was so that did not meet my expectations for a Kenmore. However, I would purchase one again. Kenmore makes durable and reliable refrigerators. It was a great price, and free delivery and removal of the old one.

I bought this Kenmore Elite refrigerator in 11/15 and its first service call was 5/17, barely 18 months later. The Freon needed to be replaced due to a faulty valve (which will recur in about 2 years due to a design problem) -- that cost $400. Six weeks later, the food was not being kept cold and now Im told the compressor needs to be replaced! And the warranty covers the parts, but, of course, not the labor. Save yourself time and money -- DO NOT BUY KENMORE ANYTHING ANYMORE! This used to be a trusted name in appliances, but no more. The washer I bought 9 months ago doesnt get clothes clean (another review).

It is one of the best refrigerator out there. I never had any issues with it and it always kept the right temperature. It was silver, duo doors with a ice and water dispenser. I wish I would have got a different one with the bottom draw because the extra space would have been great. I did not have enough space for all the frozen items I usually buy. It was a great fridge though.

Happy with the Kenmore. I use it for a garage fridge and am quite happy with it. Works great and gets the job done as far as my needs go. It had lots of space on the inside but not too big so not get in the way and make kitchen look cluttered. Got real cold and kept food cool. Ladder door, storage, interior lighting glass, shelves, freezless and stylish with a modern look. Couldnt really ask for more, just store I bought it from would have had it black and not just white. Would recommend to anyone if looking for a good price and good fridge.

I bought a Kenmore elite refrigerator in Oct of 2015. With master plan warranty. Fridge quit working in sept 2016 not even a year old!!! Told to defrost it completely. Lost all my food about 500 dollars of food loss (I shop bulk), sent receipt of food, just bought 5 days; prior to fridge going out they sent me 200 dollars. Then again fridge went out 1 month later; lost food again. They refused to cover food loss again. Now 2 months with no fridge they expect you to be ok with nothing offer that you can try to find a rental. No rentals available at our local Sears... master warranty, no fridge, living out of an ice chest, missed thanksgiving, now its almost x-mas. Finally they deemed it unrepairable. Theyre not even replacing my fridge. They are crediting my account at half the cost of same refrigerator... they claim its not their fault. Prices have gone up since I purchased my fridge and theres depreciation. I BOUGHT MASTER PLAN supposedly the best, and full guarantee... (obviously someone is lying); SEARS. Are rip offs, so to get the same fridge I have to pay almost a 2000 dollar difference. NEVER. BUY. FROM SEARS - THEY WILL SCREW YOU. Theyre dirty liars. All I have heard is, Sorry for your inconvenience. 2 months no fridge. (family of 5) Their repair people order wrong parts, 2-week waiting period to get next tech out. 1-hour phone calls every time. Just to talk to someone to try to get help. Supposedlybought top fridge out there. So dont buy a Kenmore elite or ever buy from Sears. Many many years ago they used to be good - Not anymore. Theyre dirty liars. If it was easy believe me. I would love to sue them for what I and my family have been through. No one should ever be treated like this. Dirty dirty dirty liars. If all stop going there their business will go bankrupt which would be a blessing and their karma for doing such wrong to people - horrible experience. More than once. I have recently replaced my Kenmore refrigerator. Not because I didnt absolutely love it, it just didnt fit into my new home. It was an amazing product and gave me many years of perfect service in my previous home. I will be purchasing a Kenmore again the future.

The product is amazing. I bought the freezer over 10 years and is still effectively working so good. I order it and it came very well. It was easy to setup and I was amaze how wonderful it was. The two side of the freezer was great. Keep my foods from spoiling and helps me a lot.

Its wonderful. The ice comes out well and its always nice and cool. Best fridge ever. I would recommend it to anyone and probably everyone. Its huge and has enough space. I can fit a lot of groceries in each side.. And it never looks full. Its amazing. Just a lot of room. I have black and it fits well with all my kitchen interior. Its very very black and glossy. I love it. The value is good, I think its definitely worth its price.. Maybe could be a bit cheaper for reasons so people can afford it but Ive had it for years.

We bought a Kenmore refrigerator from Sears in April of 2015 and in the last few weeks it started having a problem with cooling. We called a Kenmore appliance repair 800 number and a repair person came out within 3 days. They checked it, cleaned the coils and charged us $294. The refrigerator did not improve and in fact stopped cooling at all. We called the Kenmore repair number again and this time it took them at least 10 days to come back and when they finally returned we were told that the compressor was out and that it would cost $941 to repair. That is absolutely unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator to be 4 years old and stop working when the average life expectancy should be between 14 to 17 years. This speaks volumes about the poor quality of this product. I think that Kenmore should be embarrassed to have a product that doesnt even come close to living up to the standard that it claims. As a consumer, I have no respect for a company that only thinks of themselves with no concern for the hard earned dollars that are required to purchase their product. Consumers! Save yourself the hassle and money and purchase a different brand.

I have had no problems with my Kenmore refrigerator. I would highly recommend it to all of my friends and family. It had not had any problems since I purchased it. I love the front door access and the chopped ice is always perfect!

Pls stay away from Kenmore Elite Refrigerators sold by Sears and built by LG. Paid $2400 for the French door refrigerator and purchased it in Nov 2015. Bought extended warranty for additional 3 yrs for $500. Fridge stopped working 1 week ago. Not cooling or freezing. Sears tech came out and said this is a common problem with all LG refrigerators branded under Kenmore. 3 yr warranty expired in Dec. Go figure. Being charged $500 for labor. Wife is extremely annoyed. Our 15 yr old refrigerator in garage is working nicely which allowed us to survive. I am planning to complain to LG executives.

Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer Model 253.7034.3419 - We bought this model in December of 2015 and the ice maker has never worked properly despite 3 attempts by Sears service personnel to make repairs. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty or this unit would be sitting on the curb for a yard sale. Its a bit ironic because we selected this unit because it appeared to have the largest ice maker of all the other units. So here we sit, waiting on the fourth visit by Sears service technicians and no guarantee this next service call will actually get the ice maker to work. All the other functions seem to work properly, but as an ice maker, it fails miserably. If you are considering this model, beware the ice maker.

I had an issue with my bottom freezer Kenmore refrigerator this week that I bought 15 months ago. Control panel showing Er rF error and water dispense, ice dispense and refrigerator was not working. Only Deep freeze was working. Freezer was making big sound sometimes. I called Kenmore from Warranty page. She set-up appointment to come out tech guy after a week on their available basis. I asked her if that will cost me anything? She said no unless there is part that do not cover by factory warranty and if I do not agree to replace the uncovered part, it cost nothing to me. She said that after tech guy look at the refrigerator he will give me cost that include part and labor.So, that evening I also discovered that refrigerator also not working and food went waste. Then I called local tech from the Web that was picked up by SEARS guy. After I gave my phone #, he found that I have schedule to check refrigerator week later. Then he started telling me the prices that involved the tech guy coming to my house. I told him about the conversation I had with last rep. He claimed that she was lying and they will take action on that. I was so confused. The 1 year, 5 years and 10 years factory warranty that was written in manual that I tried to explain to him, he just denied and speaking behalf of Kenmore company. The price he quoted me same as Steven below. That is $79, just for the tech guy coming to my house, $278 for 1 year extended warranty but first visit I have to pay $60 extra to the tech guy and if the refrigerator is not fixable, they will give me credit of $500 towards my next new purchase of SEARS credit. This was a totally different kind of conversation than I was told by the previous rep. He was trying hard to take the offer at that time. But, I just told him, I am confused and I will call you back once I figured out what to do. Then I called back after an hour at 1-800-469-4663 (the # from Manual) to accept the offer since I have to have working refrigerator. Rep found that the appointment next week that was scheduled by 1st rep. I asked her to move the schedule a little earlier since freeze was not working. Luckily, she found next day appointment. I again asked her if that cost me anything. She said no unless there is a part that needs to be replaced that is not covered by your Factory Warranty. Sweet, I just did not ask anything. Next day tech guy came and take a look my refrigerator with no cost. I did not have to change any parts. He fixed it and freeze is working. I did not pay a penny. So, good. In fact, SEARS is manipulating to charge money to consumer. Do not call the SEARS, call the phone # from manual. In manual it also listed as SEARS too thought. Since I had this experience with SEARS, I am not going to purchase anything from SEARS. SEARS trying to rip my money. I would suggest everyone to call 1-800-469-4663 rather then SEARS. Hope this will help everyone. If your refrigerator is less than 5 years old and you have not purchase extended warranty from SEARS, at least tech guy come to your house free. DO NOT TRUST SEARS. I have all my appliances are Kenmore brand and bought from SEARS, but I am not going there again. Their cheap way to do business is not acceptable.

It was a wonderful refrigerator. I had it for 26 years and never had a problem with it. It was the best refrigerator I ever owned. It served me very well. I loved that refrigerator and was quite upset when it quit working. I tried to get it repaired but it was beyond that.

We continue to use our 1986 countertop Kenmore Microwave (model 87627) several times a week. Still works perfectly, display and keypad never had a glitch. Even the original light bulb works. My point? We have had much newer Sears Elite appliances that have not lasted as long, or the display/control panels burn out, refrigerator diffusers stop working, light switches fail, some push buttons stop working, etc. They dont make them like they used to.

It lasted for about 10 years and gave me trouble free service all the time. Never had to have it repaired. These older made models always lasted longer and were made in America. Had plenty of storage space and the freezer was real big. It made ice cubes in about an hour.

October 26 my ice maker went out. Service appointment was November 8. Technician said part was ordered. I had another appointment. Sears called and said part was back ordered. Set up appointment for December 5. I get recorded messages saying that tech. will not be at my house unless I confirm getting part. Called Sears, my call got dropped twice. Talk to CS. They said they would have to call me back that system was working slowing. Called back 30 minutes later. CS said part was back ordered and they dont know when it will come. I have had this fridge for a year this month. I was promised it would be fixed by Thanksgiving. It was not. I was promised it would be fixed on December 5th. I am so beyond words to describe this. Why is there not a part for a fridge that is not a year old? I asked to talk to someone higher up than customer service. I was told that there is not one higher. What is a consumer to do???

I love my Kenmore refrigerator. It has so much room and can have so much food in there. The controls are easy to control and the freezer does not give my food freezer burn. The shelves were easy to take out and made it very easy to clean, inside and out.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite 795 Model refrigerator from Sears, $2500, in July of 2016. In May 2018 it stopped working. Repeated calls to customer service over a month and still no help with anyone to come take a look at it. My problem is not unique from reading the reviews. What I do want to ask is, does anyone know or is involved with any class action suits against Sears or Kenmore for the problems we are having?

I had a Sears charge card, like the features, had experience with Kenmore appliances, convenience, and the price was right. I like the refs the ice maker, door water distributor, side by side refrigerator and freezer, and the three drawers in refrigerator. But I wish there was an easier way to change filter, which is located on the bottom of the freezer and is very very very hard to change.

This was our first refrigerator we bought after we got married and it worked great. A simple fridge to get us started and it held everything we bought for just the two of us. Even had room to store food made for company.

I have no trouble out of it and it works like new and I have had it over 5 years now and I will recommend to anyone. I am very happy with it and I would get another one. I dont know the size but its side by side and has a built in ice maker and fruit saver and lunch meat storage and its big. Its white and has two storage container and it takes up most of my kitchen space but I have a lot of storage and it holds a lot of food. It cost a lot but it was worth it. I pay a lot but I know it will last and I wont have to buy another one for a long time to come and I like it and I had a choice of plenty.

You can store gallon of milk and juices, sodas etc leaving lots of room for other necessities. Lots of room in the freezer as well, and the shelving makes it easy access. The stainless steel finish is such a sleek look! Easy to wipe clean and leaves no fingerprints. The interior is bright and easy to keep clean. It wipes clean very easily with a damp. Love the easy access to be able to get the ice, either crushed or cubed choices. Or cold water option as well. The price of this model is in comparison to other models and brands of its kind. This model is efficient in its performance and does all that is needed in a refrigerator. It is beautiful to look at and very easy to access the items that are stored into it.

The ice maker on this fridge, or I should say the water going into it and it dumping the ice along with some other item that runs very noisily, this is the loudest noisiest fridge we have ever purchased. We have had many Kenmore refers. The noise on our newest one is awful to say the least and the ice dispenser can jam up and you have to dump it all out and clean it up and dry it before you can put it back so it will work properly. Three times since April this year. Very disappointed with this Kenmore product. We still have our old fridge and are very close to putting it back in the house and giving this one away.

We purchased a new Kenmore Elite refrigerator in November 2016 for nearly $2600. Now it is November 2019 and the control board has stopped working. The part is on back order and can take 7-10 business days. Thank goodness I purchased the 3 year extended warranty because they are sending me $300 to help with the cost of lost food, also sending me $115 to help towards the purchase of a compact refrigerator I had to get in order to get my family of five by. This whole process has taken three weeks. Once the new part is installed I will be looking to extend the warranty again as I no longer trust this refrigerator. I do not recommend the Kenmore Elite.
