We had this refrigerator for a couple of years and it would always have a build up of ice on the back of the freezer therefore it would not freeze the food properly. The size was great for a small family. We are a family of six and we really need a lot of room in the freezer. And when we filled it to capacity it would get a build up of ice. The refrigerator was a little old fashioned. White appliances dont have a modern appearance. It didnt take up a lot of room but it wasnt small either. We got the refrigerator on sale at an appliance warehouse. The price was reasonable enough. So the price fit into my budget and I thought it was a good buy.

It does what its supposed to and has been working for many years. I have had few difficulties to it other than the fact the inside trays have broken however, it is still usable. The fridge has plenty enough room for our needs. Rarely do we run out of room in the fridge. The freezer however is not big enough for the food that we store. Its nothing special, just a white fridge that is useful. Nothing more, nothing less of its intended use. I guess it is a nice size but other than that its just a fridge. The value of the fridge is great because we have had it for years now and there hasnt been a major technical problem other than the interior is breaking.

This is my first time ever owning a Kenmore. We just recently bought our house and the person selling it had just purchased the Kenmore and included it with the sale of the house. I love the side by side fridge and freezer. There is plenty of space on both. I also love the in-door ice maker. It is easy and convenient to empty when needed. The only thing I have an issue with is the slowness of the ice maker itself. Other than that, I absolutely love my Kenmore. I am, overall, extremely happy and satisfied with my Kenmore.

Kenmore Refrigerator Bottom Freezer Model 795.72022.110. If you are asked the question how long you expect a refrigerator to last, it would certainly be more than 5 years - more than likely 10-15 years. I have a 4 year old Kenmore refrigerator with a bottom freezer and the technical sent by Sears is telling me that he could attempt a repair for $500 which may or may not work (he said he would not trust that it would repair the fridge). He basically said I need a new refrigerator. I paid over $1300 for this appliance and I certainly expect it to last more than 4 years. Of course I did not purchase the warranty because you expect appliances to last. The technician is offering us a $100 coupon - you know where he can put that! I will not buy another Kenmore appliance. You would think that someone at Sears would be reviewing these reviews and take some action to correct their customer dissatisfaction.

Only issue Ive ever had is that ice maker takes up a lot of space in the freezer. Sometimes you have to move things around so door will close. But we have more than enough room for everything. Its a standard issue chrome surfaced appliance... Nothing wrong with it, nothing special about it. We like the way it looks. It came with the house when we bought it. It came with the house when we bought it... Best I can say is that weve never had any problems with it, and it looks fine in our kitchen.

I purchased this over a Bosch because of the price and the side by side feature comparison. The features were not that far off but the price swayed my decision. I have had nothing but quality issues, so in the long run lost my saving on the purchase price. This is the last Kenmore product that Ill ever purchase. I have had to repair it on a regular basis which has been a major disappointment. Its performance is average. It has the buttonless feature but every time someone walks by the unit turns on or off, which forces you to use the control panel lock feature at all times. Using the control lock leads to the unit getting hung up requiring us to have to cycle power to get the unit usable. We would replace the control board, but there are no longer spare control panels. It is clear that all the quality problems are due to low-cost parts and cutting corners on the design. While on paper the product looked close and the price lead to my purchase, it is my last Kenmore purchase.

Havent stopped on me yet, works just fine. Freezer doesnt hold much but enough food. Gets cold real fast. Beverage if you leave in freezer for about 5 minutes they will be froze. Size a decent size but freezer doesnt hold as much food as I want it to. I have to keep going to the store for meats. Other than that its great. Work just fine. Pretty nice. All black is the best one. Fits right in its place. Gives the kitchen a nice elegant look. All colors look good. Freezes good. The value a little high for the size but it will work. Always catch it on sale. Look good. Ok for the price I guess.

It has meet my initial expectations by being reliable compared to my last one which had a very short life span and we had to replace it with the Kenmore brand which is doing much better. It is very efficient and works in a way I really like and the price of the refrigerator I had paid for it was a good price as well. The size was the biggest issue for me. I would just make the fridge larger so that I can put more food and store more items in it and have some extra space for other things that I would need to add to it.

Also, it fit all the groceries, snacks and meats with ease. It worked and kept things cold for over ten years without any issues. The value was perfect. It is plenty big it holds plenty food for my family of three. The freezer is awesome. He keeps everything frozen and things last for a long time when theyre in it. It looks good. It matches all of my other stainless steel clients is. I would most definitely have another in the future. As far as price goes it was definitely affordable. Its a lot cheaper than some of these other list fancy refrigerators. It has a great warranty and I absolutely love it.

Very nice, perfect size, not too big, not too small, has the perfect amount of compartments, and shelving space. Very nice looking fridge, white is nice, it matches everything. Nice design, look. It is not too plain, but not too flashy. I got this on sale, it was a very good deal. Even if it wasnt on sale, I would have bought it. It was made by a great company, and I would highly recommend it.

The ice maker water line from my Kenmore refrigerator 7425, unknown to me, had a crimp in it when installed and after 4 years developed a small hole. The water leaked under my kitchen cabinets, causing thousands of dollars in replacement costs. At the outset of the leak, there was no visible evidence since the water spread out toward the back of the cabinets. According to my plumber, the crimp was there when the refrigerator was new and installed that way. This refrigerator was rated highly by Consumer Reports and might be a good refrigerator if it wasnt for the shoddy parts and attention from installers.

I get a different story and different bill from them every time. It is broken again, and had another appointment scheduled for tomorrow. 6/19/19. Now it is pushed back to next week. And I keep getting charged, and now Sears has raised the diagnostic fee for a call out by 13%. Last technician told me they have a lot of problems with the Kenmore Elite refrigerators - DONT BUY ONE!!!

It can fit a lot of things in there. Kinda wished the freezer was a bit bigger, but both sides are pretty much perfect. It also is the right size because our family is short, and we can still reach everything for the most part. It is very elegant, and we can stick things on there. It is also very easy to clean and maintain. Dust doesnt even really stick to it. I would buy from this brand again. It was kinda expensive, but it is well worth the money. It was last, really easy to maintain, can store a lot of food, and keeps food lasting longer. You pay more for great quality.

In September 2014 we purchased a brand new Kenmore 26.2 cu ft French door refrigerator, purchased at Sears as a replacement for a Frigidaire refrigerator that had a damage ice/water dispenser. The refrigerator was installed October 13, 2014, and 2 days ago, the ice maker suddenly stopped producing ice. We had always have problems with low ice production, that would not keep up with 2 teenage boys using ice all day long, but it had never stopped producing ice completely.To my surprise the warranty on the refrigerator is for 12 months. I did not purchase the extended warranty since I had never had problems with Kenmore appliances, and believed it would not get damaged. My mistake perhaps was not to notice that the warranty was for only 12 months!! In my previous refrigerator there was access to the ice maker, and one could manually reset the system so if an ice cube was stuck you could easily fix the problem yourself. With this refrigerator, the ice maker is in to top, not accessible or removable except for a trained technician. Its really disappointing that an almost new appliance would have a faulty system. It makes me rethink what brand to buy next time Im in the market for appliances.

This refrigerator always kept our food at the exact temperature that we wanted. Construction was top notch and it generally gave the impression of quality. I would, and did, buy this brand again. Our refrigerator was designed very well with some really nice features like gallons and 2 liters in the door, and convenient locations for butter and eggs. The interior and exterior were both visually appealing and all surfaces were well made and easy to clean. Our kitchen looked its best with this refrigerator in it. Thanks to great material choices and quality construction by Sears, this refrigerator looked like it was worth much more than it actually cost.

The appearance of the fridge was awesome. It was very fresh and modern and kinda sexy. The slim and shiny design made my kitchen pop! I would get compliments on my fridge because it made my kitchen more modern. It wasnt too big or too small and it was the perfect size for my kitchen. Plenty of storage room on the inside and I was able to store all my fruits and vegetables in the bottom compartment. I love the size of this fridge! Also, I loved having the ability to get filtered water and ice at easy access from my fridge. My only complaint is that it leaked water from the bottom sometimes. But the overall value of the fridge deserves 5 stars because this fridge did everything I needed it to do. This fridge made me proud!

I really love the amount of features the Kenmore Refrigerator comes with. It comes with an ice machine and a water filter. It also has temperature control and has lasted me about three years. Although it is a great working fridge it does have its problems. The power consumption on the fridge is honestly not even that good and I would definitely check it on the website. But it pretty much exceeded expectations because it is a very affordable fridge and comes with many different features that I could not be happier with. I would honestly buy it again.

For the price it was at the time (there was a sale when I went to take a look at it), the space and build of this unit was great for my budget. Its basic and I like that because I dont have to worry so much about maintenance with fancy features. I can display photos and its easy to clean. Very well in keeping things cool and stored. The freezer is just enough space for all my long term storage needs and the energy saving feature is a big help. Also, it holds all my groceries and snacks brought in by my family and friends. Its a huge help around the holidays when I got to cook a lot.

Kenmore was the brand used in our apartment and that was my first Kenmore experience. When we moved to our house we purchased the same model. Bonus it was on sale. I like the ice maker and bright lights. It is easy to clean which is awesome since we have a toddler who touches everything. The fridge runs quietly even when making ice. But always could use more freezer room. Not really sure how to have that without getting a bigger model. All in all we enjoy it.

I have a 2015 Sears Kenmore Elite fridge made by LG. The compressor has been gone for over 3 weeks. Sears came out to repair it but they did not have the part. Finally the part came today and the repair is suppose to take place on Monday. Sears tells me I must pay the labor. Is that true? Secondly, I loved this refrigerator so much that I bought one for our FL home. It was built in 2018 and bought in February of 2019. Are there still compressor issues with the newer models? Thirdly, my husband has tried to register for the class action suit and has had very little luck getting through the red tape. HELP!

Quality refrigerator. Keeps food cold. Works well. Little noise. Has no breakdown. The inside is well positioned, easy to get at food, right height. It is appropriate for my needs. Children have no problem getting what they want. Has a stainless steel exterior and makes a nice design for my kitchen. Fits in with other appliances so all add a great look. Value is ok for a 12-year old refrigerator and it has stayed consistent and worth the investment. But need more room in the refrigerator as I tend to buy in bulk so I have a second refrigerator, smaller but has my overflow especially for coming holiday. Will be looking for a larger Kenmore but with same design. Nevertheless, Sears stands behind their Kenmore product. Good support if needed and I get updates as needed.

I can fit a lot of food in my fridge now compared to my old one. This Kenmore fridge has lots of space and nice compartments. The appearance of my Kenmore fridge is beautiful. It looks sharp and matches my kitchen well. I really like the look of the stainless steel. The value was a steal. My Kenmore fridge was pretty inexpensive yet worth every penny. It hold up to its standards and value. It works great and held up well.

These units are a separate matched pair, Kenmore Elite ref and freezer. I purchased these units in Jan. 2011 but didnt plug them until Sept. 2011 because I remodeled the kitchen. Neither unit worked properly. From the start, the freezer would not get below 22 deg. The repairs finally got the freezer working. The ref has never gotten below 39 deg. with temp control on 7. The compressor has been replaced, thermostat, the timer and then rechecked at another appointment but it still will not cool. On 24 Nov., it was 48 deg, on the 25th, 42 deg. Today it is 40. deg. I have had at least 7 or 8 appointments for these units. On Nov. 24, 2012, I had to purchase another Kenmore ref as a back up because I cannot depend on this unit, which I could not afford because I am on a fixed income (disabled). I talked to lemon service, 1 800 927 7836, today. Their service records are not accurate. One comment from the Tech repairman stated I didnt want any more service. This is not correct. My refrigerator is over 10 years old and running well. It has a bottom freezer which makes it more convenient because the items I use more frequently are at eye level. The adjustable shelves are also convenient for organizing my items. The crispers are large and I use one for fresh product and the other for cheese and bacon, etc. It also has a smaller third drawer which I use for deli meat. I love it and would recommend it highly. Solid and well-built.

My parents bought Kenmore from Sears so when I needed a fridge I went to Sears and bought the same name brand. It was really the main brand that Sears sold so that is where they took me. It was a good fridge for the price. The fridge looked good and the exterior was easy to keep clean. It was durable, lasted a very long time and took a beating and managed to look good. Moreover, I liked the removable shelves for easy cleaning. However, the main shelves were not easy to remove or change. When something spilled in inside, it would often go down the back where I could not see it and pool underneath the crisper containers. In addition, some of the larger items did not fit well in the fridge.

The refrigerator is a black exterior with an 18-cubic foot interior for almost $700.00. The size of the refrigerator fit our needs with several interior shelves and drawer space and shelving space on the doors. The freezer is two-tiered and came with an ice tray. But the refrigerator is too cold and drips water in the interior. Sears was called to fix it. They came out but said nothing could be done. To this day the refrigerator is still producing temperatures that are way too cold causing food loss over time and a huge letdown overall. Ultimately, Sears and Kenmore have let me down and lost customers.

The fridge is more than enough to store my groceries and leftovers on a daily basis. Its adjustable shelves are also helpful in storing foods, and its multiple drawers make storing lumpy veggies and fruits easy. The fridge is very quality looking and its silvery front is great for a modern home. The sides are also magnetic, so its customizable if one wishes to do so. The outward appearance of the fridge is quite impressive and should garner a good market value. The interior is spacious looking as well and deserves a good price. However its flaws as prior mentioned detract its value for me.

When I said I wanted a new fridge (as promised per the warranty after 3 tries) the repairman said aint gonna happen, its only an ice maker. One of the repairmen said this is a common problem with this model. So why are they still selling it?! Ive been a loyal Sears customer over 40 years, but no more. My refrigerator fits perfectly in the spot designed for it. It holds all of my groceries for a month without any problems. I also enjoy the crisper for my vegetables. I love the white color and it cleans very well. The next one I buy will be stainless steel bowl. My children still so does all the time and it wakes up easily. We got big bang for our buck. I spent all of last summer without a fridge because the technicians couldnt figure out that it was not the compressor (after 3 times coming to my house). It was some unit in the back that had burned and the coolant was leaking out. After paying over $500 to fix that, I am now waiting on hold for an hour because its not working again! It hasnt even been a year. And once again I lost food. I will not be purchasing from Kenmore or Sears again!

Sears does not care about customer satisfaction or inconvenience. Its help desk of of no value. The parts we need are made by LG for Kenmore and have been out of stock since at least 6 July. Our most recent possible date to repair is 8 August if the parts happen to be delivered. It hold most of the things I need but I did have to remove one of the shelves to make the spaces the right size to hold a gallon of milk. The door shelves are decent. It is clean and doesnt take up too much space but would look a lot better in stainless steel or possibly in black. The white attracts dirt and grime a little more than I would like. For the size and space the price was very reasonable but you definitely get what you pay for. The lines of it are not super clean and the style is a little outdated but its not the worst I have ever seen or used.

After a couple of weeks of use I noticed the freezer was icing over and the seals to the freezer and refrigerator kept coming loose. I contacted Costco concierge service and they sent a Kenmore repairman. The Kenmore repairman noticed the seals coming loose without me saying anything and then he noticed the seam around freezer had been siliconed. The Kenmore repairman advised me to return the refrigerator and get a refund. Sears, Kenmore, or Costco wants to take responsibility for this fraud. I have never had a more frustration experience, dont buy anything from these people.

Dont buy the Kenmore Elite series side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. I bought this product and have had several problems with it prior to the warranty expiration. The freezer bins keep cracking. The refrigerator temp could not be controlled, it was freezing all of the food. The doors did not seal properly. The latest incident is that the refrigerator and freezer are no longer cooling. We have tried to get an emergency repair appointment and were told that we would have to wait 12 days because there were no appointments available until that date. Meanwhile, all my food, about $500 worth has spoiled and the only compensation that was offered was $160 for reimbursement for a small refrigerator.

I like the newer ones with the refrigerator on top and the freezer on the bottom. I like how much more spacious and energy efficient the newer models are. I like the models that come equipped with a water dispenser (filtered of course)/ice dispenser (also filtered)! I wish refrigerators were solar powered or could generate their own power so no electricity was necessary! In fact I wish all appliances were made this way! I didnt purchase this brand. I chose this Kenmore refrigerator when my 4 year old LG refrigerator was unrepairable due to a $40 part and the Sears warranty paid me out to get a new refrigerator. This refrigerator has met my expectations. I like the bright LED lights. They make everything easy to see and it really brighten up the whole refrigerator. The air filter is really good at keeping food smells out and keeping it smelling fresh. The French doors are great that you can open the two doors and you can see everything. The large bottom freezer is nice with two drawers on the top which is great at keeping things organized. The deli drawer is great as well that you can see what deli meats and cheese you have. However, I dislike where the water filter is placed. It takes up room on the top shelf, it would be better if it was placed in another spot. The shelves that slide in to make room for taller items are really useless. When you slide the one shelf in you are unable to get to the back of 2 shelfs without removing the tall items. The ice maker because it is in the door is small and the ice gets stuck and you have to break it up so you can get it out of the door.

The excessive noise I can live with, the lack of ice capacity too, even resetting it a couple times a week so that the water/ice dispenser works, But ice build up to the point that drawers cant even close? You want to buy a Kenmore product? That will be ok, just buy the extended warranty for as long as you want the unit to last. I for one did not buy it, and sure enough 1 year past its purchase date (just past its manufacturer warranty) and found out about all the ice it was building on the walls and behind the drawers. We had to take all of the food out and de-ice it like it was my parents fridge in 1970s.

In the 18 months since weve replaced the icemaker valves 6 times (1 lower valve, 3 upper valves and 2 replacements of upper valves that failed--again--while the repair was still under warranty). This product is manufactured by LG. WAY too much aggravation for a 2 year old fridge. Safe to say that when we replace it, we will not consider Kenmore OR LG product lines.

The size was just fine, every thing fit fine but would have liked to be able to store 3 gallons of milk from back to the front. The 3rd gallon just comes over the front edge. Also, would not keep ice cream hard, only soft, and air leaks in the freezer. Temp in freezer 10 degrees would not go any lower. Also very noisy and running for long periods of time. This box would have been the best value for us if it would have worked out and did what a box was supposed to do and would have kept the ice cream at the right temp.

With durability and pricing in hand, I couldnt turn it down compared to other manufacturers. It is compact enough to fit all of my food and beverages, and not enough to take up a lot of kitchen space. I like that the trays are adjustable and can compensate for a lot of different types of groceries. The appearance is something that is great to show off to guests and company. I like that the outer appearance is coated with stainless steel painted over with extra durable acrylic paint. The value of the refrigerator is something that has exceeded my expectations greatly. I didnt expect my refrigerator to last as long as it has now, but it hasnt shown one sign of breaking down, or even needing maintenance.

I paid $1,355.98 and for a fridge to last that long is ridiculous! The compressor went in my fridge, which had to be faulty or a lemon. Im a single mother and that is a lot of money for me to come up with. Unfortunately, I never purchased the extended warranty which at the time was close to $300.00. I lost $200.00 at least of food in my fridge and to repair my fridge will cost me $400.00 for the part and $300.00 for the service. Unbelievable that Kenmore and anyone working at Sears can stand behind this product and actually write on their invoice, The brands you want at the store you trust. I contacted the service center and the store I purchased at. They would not do anything to compensate for this or even meet me halfway on the part, I would have considered repairing it. So, its GE product for me from now on. I will never purchase anything from Sears again. If I bought a $20.00 clothing item and it ripped, I would definitely have no problem bringing it back. I told him this is manufacture defects as Sears has 10 years warranty for defects. He refused to replace the foam. Fit just well in the spot it was designed for. Was a little bit heavy. The freezer could have been bigger. Couldnt store too much meats in there because they would fall out when you open it. The rate of the overall appearance I give it 6 out of a 10. The color was just plain white. Looked very old. Wasnt up to date with the other brands of refrigerators. The rate of the perceived value was better than the other brands of refrigerators. The cost was one of the most affordable for us. The other brands were really high priced.

Bought a beautiful stainless steel refrigerator about 1 year ago. 5 days later the Sears repairman was telling me that the clicking noises I hear in the fridge are due to materials expanding and contracting as the fridge runs, and that it is a design issue and cannot be fixed. 4 months later fridge is warm because the freezer section had ice frozen hard in the air pathway that cools off the fridge so of course freezer is ice cold but the fridge below is warm as no cold air comes through. Today, about 1 yr and 3 months later I have had to defrost the freezer 3 times so my food does not spoil in the fridge. This is my first ever review. I know not everything is perfect always but Im very disappointed with this product. I have talked to friends and the general consensus is that the Sears name no longer means the quality of past years. I guess Im talking about the stuff my parents had which was solid and reliable. Upon examination, my son discovered when the cold section door was closed, the freezer door popped open! Most of the time it would close on its own but occasionally it didnt. The technician came out and made a big deal of leveling the fridge, etc. – leaving without a fix for the freezer door. I stewed for a while then called repair service again, relating what had happened on the first visit. This technician decided he would tell me how You can fix that problem yourself. Hello! Not when I paid over $400 for someone else to fix it!Knowing this fridge was made by LG and sold by Sears with their Kenmore name on it, I contacted LG. Meanwhile I had gone to KMart, where they sell Sears products, and tested all the Kenmore refrigerator doors. This model is the only one the freezer door popped open on when closing the cold section! The person, who answered my email detailing the problem, put me in touch with a Sears CEO who sent Sears Blue Ribbon Team out to look at the fridge.The technician at that time stated there was no fix for it unless LG made a stronger magnet for the freezer door, which they didnt. And though he declared, when he spoke with Sears advocate on the phone, that the fridge was working as it should, he would also recommend 100% customer satisfaction if it were up to him. When I finally got a call back from the Sears CEO, she claimed she could not exchange the fridge because the technician stated the fridge is working as it should.So I am stuck with a fridge that has manufacturer defects that the manufacturer and the seller are both aware of! Even I can look at the refrigerator and see that the space between the bottom of the freezer door and the top of the cold section door is larger on the left side than the right side. Whether this has anything to do with the problem, I have no clue. But I doubt it. I’m just saying I can see it. It does dent pretty fast though, any of the slightest hits could leave a small impact. Needless to say its pretty easy to clean. This sears refrigerator has served us very well for 30 years. Only problem is that we have repaired icemaker twice in 30 years! The repair man who fixed the ice maker told us they dont make them like this anymore. Very satisfactory refrig.

It was just the right size for all the food we had to put into it and the freezer kept the food frozen. It was a perfect size and fit into the space very nicely and it was just the right height so I could reach the top of the refrigerator. It was a very clean and neat looking refrigerator and it looked very good in my kitchen. It was very easy to keep clean. Wonderful refrigerator to own. For me this refrigerator rates a very high value as it was problem free. It stored my food very nicely.

I love my fridge. We have had a few problems though. For one the ice maker is a bit on the slow side. We have a large family already but we also have large joint family get-togethers and ice is very important when making frozen drinks for the summertime. If the ice maker was a bit better, we more thoroughly enjoy the fridge in whole. But overall it has been a great fridge.

I just bought my appliances this past January 2017 at Sears. They are all Kenmore products. Ive had the worst experience ever. My Kenmore Pro fridge leaking water all over my floors. Calling Sears customer service and they are the worst people. Ive been trying since September 2, 2017 trying to get this fridge fixed and its October 5th and still fighting with them. I am still under warranty and I bought extended warranty for $500.00. My advice dont buy Kenmore and dont buy at Sears! I wont even start with all the other appliances.

Being retired and downsizing doesnt mean poor quality in appliances. Kenmore units are dependable and very reliable. Excellent quality, easy to clean. Freezer space is a good size. Delivery and quick set up by Sears on time and efficient. I love owning a frost free freezer. Lots of storage. This unit keeps all our food fresh and accessible with little fuss. Having deep gallon sized door bins and adjustable glass shelves keep drinks, even the large bottles, and all our snacks, and fresh produce in the front, easy to find. Love having a white refrigerator. It brightens the room. Great buy for under $600.00.The large bins are great for storing a lot of different food items. Its so small on the outside but looks can be deceiving. This unit is bigger inside. With a spacious top mount freezer and frost-free. Giving me more time with the family. My unit is a white Kenmore 20 cu. ft. single door top freezer refrigerator. Very simple and efficient food storage. Easy to clean, slide out, glass storage shelves. Large door bins that hold the large gallon containers for more shelf space. A great purchase for under $600.00. With energy efficient rates Saving us in electricity each year by using less energy when compared with like models elsewhere. In real money that is about $55.00 a year. So in 12 years this unit will pay for itself.

It is stainless steel, which is what I prefer and enough ice to make a lot of cold drinks during the summer. One of the reasons I got this fridge was because of the size. I have a little boy and he is kinda picky eater, so I needed a rather large fridge to put a variety of food. It looks amazing. When my mom in law comes in she would say the fridge must be very expensive because of the look, but it was not that bad. It was not that expensive when I got it during the holiday season and I really think my decision to get it was a very good one and it is gonna be used for a long time.

Bought Kenmore fridge 2012 when on sale on Black Friday - thought what a great deal. No such luck. Started making noise & not freezing items. Replaced a $60 part with no luck. Sears repairman comes and says its compressor, $700 to repair because I didnt think I would need extended warranty (fridge last at least 5-10 yrs). The repairman said, You def. need warranty for they are disposable items. - his words not mine. Needless to say, bought new fridge elsewhere including warranty.

I know this appliance is going to last me a very long time, and that I can rely on it to have a longer life time than my last one. I have a $2000 Kenmore Elite French Door bought Aug. 09, 2013 that I am junking. Had it worked on by the only local guy locally. He put on new parts and could not fix. Takes Sears home repair at least 3 weeks to come. Sears does not offer any help and could care less. Wants you to buy a warranty for $49.95 a month to cover repairs up to $500. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG or KENMORE ELITE.

I have had this refrigerator several years. It keeps everything cold, it defrosts itself, and is easy to clean. Side by side gives more room for fridge and freezer, and the water it supplies is cold and good tasting. Ive never had any issues with it in the 10 years Ive had it. Kenmore is my go to brand because it represents quality across the board. There is so much storage space, side by side is so much better than freezer top refrigerators. It has a lot of room to store just about anything on its shelves, in the freezer as well as the refrigerator. My Kenmore refrigerator is a side by side, and has a steel finish that is so easy to keep clean. There is a water and ice machine on the outside of the freezer section, making it accessible for a healthy glass of cold water. This Kenmore side by side refrigerator is well worth the amount I paid for it, and I have not needed repairs since I bought 10 years ago. To me, the Kenmore brand is synonymous with quality.

Updated on 01/26/2021: My first review on 1/4/2021 was about a failed compressor. Today is the 1/26/2021 and the tech finally came to fix the compressor. He advised me that there are a lot of problems with these compressors. He told me that when the compressor goes a black liquid runs through the refrigerator lines. He flushed the system but said it was not guaranteed to be fully flush. He then proceeded to tell me that if there is black fluid left and it gets into the compressor it will ruin it. He then told me that the compressor will probably fail within 2 years or less after paying $300 dollars to have it fixed. If it breaks I will need to pay again to service the refrigerator. This feels like a giant scam and Sears and Kenmore should be held accountable for the faulty parts they use on their products. Unsatisfied Customer!!!Original Review: I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator approximately 4 years ago because my last Kenmore was well made. The compressor already failed only after 4 yrs. Kenmore is using a LG compressor. If I wanted an LG I would’ve purchased LG. I am very disappointed and will never buy a Kenmore again. Putting cheaper parts to save money will only cost you customers!! Kenmore should fix every last compressor problem.

We shopped around and considering the price, warranty, and features the fridge met our family needs and expectations for the needs of cooking and storing food. The fridge was reliable, energy efficient and it worked for a long time not needing repairs. We like the ease of cleaning on outside and wipe down and maintaining. The most difficult part of cleaning is usually the inside but this one was fine. But it could have a better ice maker. We have historically had good experiences with the Sears brand of appliances, but sometimes the ice clogged up and didnt dispense as it should needing some manual fixing.
