Happy is the feeling I get when I see the refrigerator up and running for the last 7 years. Dependable is what I feel! Have had no problems with it and its been running for more than 7 years and a residence move. Its an appliance I shouldnt feel that I have replace because of it not working but of the Women aspect. Over the years some women and men stop loving the refrigerator and want a new one to match the home. Now this is what you have to look for. The refrigerator will last as long as your home does. Its that simple!

It never gave us a lick of trouble, the 8 years we had it. We got for a house warming gift, the seals were all tight up to the day we gave it to some less fortunate friends of ours. From the freeze to veg. and lunch meat trays did their job, the best aspect of the whole thing was the elec. bill never went sky high. We loved it, we went out and bought a side by side with water and ice dispenser. The freezer, cold storage for meats, veggies, and butter, and everyday grocery, racks were plenty spacious for a family of two, then came the little one. We had no problem with all the formula and all that comes with having a baby, plus plenty of room for my beer.The color was eggshell white, nice texture, easy to clean even with smokers in the house. It fit right in with the cupboards, style and got a lot of compliments on it, who would of thought a ref. Even though we got IT FOR HOUSE warming gift, I would see our model or close to it that it would be very affordable for our budget, we had just bought a new vehicle, so if we had to buy we could of, it was very reasonable.

Over time the refrigerator has lived up to my expectations and hopefully will continue to do so! Very quiet running, very spacious and convenient size for the price of the unit. The durability has been wonderful about 21 1/2 years. Quality and value cannot be beat! I didnt purchase ice maker so I would have preferred it to a larger shelf area for ice cube trays. Also have some type of shelving in the freezer. The crisper area for fruits and vegetables could have been made sturdier to support the crisper drawers.

Pathetic. We purchased the fridge in 2005. Kenmore Elite Cabinet Depth French Door Fridge model 795.7519240. The vegetable drawers have been a pain forever. They always come off their tracks and are awkward to put back on. No matter how careful we are, it happens. Also the cold water supply main switch control from the main board wire broke because it swings when the door opens and closes. It is in the molded insulation of the door, so a new wire had to be routed under the rubber gasket and a hole drilled through the insulation to bring the new wire to the control board (The factory wanted to sell us a new door!). Sad, sad when the fridge it replaced had been working almost 20 years without a hitch.

Its just your normal size. I really wish I had a bottom freezer, deluxe side by side model. It would have so much more room. It would have a bigger freezer to hold more. Says resist fingerprints but that is absolutely not true at all so I have mine covered in magnets and all my childrens artwork. A CHEAP REFRIGERATOR THAT FREEZES AND KEEPS STUFF COOL BUT NOTHING FANCY BUT I AM GLAD I HAVE IT. It could be worse and I couldnt have one at all.

It is definitely big enough for a regular sized family of 3 or 4 people. The only time there isnt enough room is when we are hosting a gathering. It has a very basic appearance and is white in color. I wouldnt say theres anything special about the appearance but that isnt why we bought this model. It is more of a bargain refrigerator so I think its a great value. I want to say it was around $1000? No repair bills of any kind so we cant complain.

We tried a different brand a couple of summers ago and it just would not keep the temperature cold in the freezer or the refrigerator so we took it back. We like that with Kenmore, the drinking water dispenser is inside the refrigerator so instead of being on the door on the outside I don’t have water stains on the front of my fridge. The thing that I dislike is that the glass shelves do not fit tightly in the frames. On occasion when I have been cleaning out the fridge I worry that I am going to drop the glass on the floor.

DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM SEARS... ESPECIALLY A KENMORE PRODUCT! We purchased a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator MODEL 106.51335710, from Sears in Sept. 2018. The ice-maker dripped from day 1. We were told to let the ice maker fill several times and the dripping will stop. Needless to say, the dripping did not stop. In October 2018 Sears agreed to exchange the refrigerator freezer for a brand new one. Same model. Same problem happened again. From day 1 the ice maker drips. The problem is after using the indoor ice dispenser, ice gets stuck in the chute. As the ice slowly melts, it drips, fills up the tray with water. The tray eventually fills up and water overflows to the floor. In addition, the ice that is stuck in the chute, eventually melts to a small enough size, falls out of the chute, bounces on the tray and falls to the floor. We have puddles of water on the floor, in front of the fridge, on a daily basis.We just dealt with it. A friend recently visited and convinced me we should not have to deal with a product that has not worked from day 1 and I should take care of it before the warranty expires. Here the bigger nightmare begins. We called Sears, told them the problem and they agreed to send a service tech. The tech came out the week of May 13, 2019. He told me the ice maker dripping is not desirable, but it is not broken. It is not considered broken just because it drips water. Water on the floor in front of my fridge (on a tile floor) is not a hazard. After much back and forth, he told me he cannot disparage the company name. HIS EXACT WORDS. He got mad as i continued to press and he left.After many calls to Sears again and many transfers to the useless customer service center in The Philippines we agreed to Sears suggestion of having another tech come out. This tech was much nicer, but basically said the same thing. Although he did tell us he would order a part, but it was not the correct part to fix our fridge. He has to order it because thats what his department is suggesting. I promise you...I couldnt make this stuff up if I tried. Not surprising - we called the customer service number we were given and that just looped us back to the useless customer service center in the Philippines. The service center suggested we have another tech come out. That appointment is set for tomorrow. See the pattern here? My hopes are low for ever getting this resolved. We were broke, so we were not looking to buy a fancy, expensive unit, just something to fulfill a need. The refrigerator was super cheap and proved to be worth every penny. It wasnt a fancy model with lots of bells and whistles, but it suited our needs. The price was right and it was also a perfect fit. The temperature was always perfect. It was easy to disassemble for cleaning and it was very quiet as well. However, the freezer had to be defrosted a little too often for my taste and it did not have an ice maker. Still, it lasted for twice as long as I had hoped for. I would buy it again.

Kenmore Elite Refrigerator Model 795 79753 900 - We purchased the refrigerator in 2009 and in the past two years the vertical water line on the back of the refrigerator has developed leaks on three separate times usually pinhole leaks where the serviceman and I have seen each time. The last leak damaged our hardwood floor and sub-floor. The third time the leak developed I called Sears service center only to have them tell me they dont service in Anchorage, Alaska when in fact they do. I suspect that the reason they denied me service was because my protection agreement had expired. This seems to be a recurring problem with the Kenmore refrigerator and Sears is very frustrating to deal with along with the so called elite product line!

I have a big family and this fridge is big enough to hold food for all of us. Its amazing to not have to go to the grocery store every other day. Looks great in any kitchen. I love love love the stainless steel look. Very modern. The refrigerator is a little pricey but I guess its worth the price. Price alone isnt great but value is totally worth it.

My Kenmore refrigerator has met my expectations. It is still working well and a second refrigerator is in my garage. I didnt really need a new one but wanted more modern features. I like that it was brightly lit and deep. I like the gallon size pockets too. At the time I liked the top freezer. I still use it as an extra refrigerator after all this time. Now I like having a bottom pull out freezer better than on top. My fridge has no stainless steel exterior. I could have gotten rid of it when I got new but it was working just as well as the day I got it.

The refrigerators has various sizes, plenty storage and will hold almost anything you would want to put in. Out of all the different refrigerators I have, Kenmore is the best brand and the best performance. It is very dependable, keeps food fresh and seems like it last forever. Value is very high and worth the price you pay for. I would recommend to anyone.

Kenmore Coldspot Model # 106-62152110 - I have had Kenmore appliances all my life and never have I had one go belly up in less than 3 years, most lasted 20 years or more. We bought a side by side, a stand up freezer and an extra refrigerator for our pantry, which was the last one we bought and it was 11/11. About 2 months ago it began not cooling right and had to be turned up and even then the freezer was not freezing. Ice cream was like milk and things in the refrigerator spoiled. We live out of town, 40 miles to Costco, so like to avoid that trip by having this extra appliance. It took them two weeks to get a repairman then he said it could take up to 3 or more weeks to repair as it was a major coolant leak and may not be cost effective. Since the warranty had passed I was pretty much told too bad, so sad. This is not a Wal-Mart coffee maker or curling iron. Since when can you not expect a refrigerator to last more than 2.5 years? In talking to the Solutions dept I was told they have no phone # for the corporate office and I had no other place to turn. What a joke. Sears has turned in to another corporate bully.

I bought a Kenmore refrigerator (freezer on top, model 106.6093) in October 2011. Six and a half years later the compressor no longer works. It would cost $440 to replace, plus labor and removing the old refrigerator. I will be buying a new refrigerator, different brand. I bought Kenmore products for years. Their quality has clearly deteriorated. Also, when I called about the compressor I was shunted to 5 different telephone trees. I never reached a live person who could offer anything but the option to purchase a new compressor - after 6 years I no longer have a warranty, but certainly customers expect a refrigerator to last longer than 6 years.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite 30CF bottom freezer refrigerator in October 2014. We thought we were buying top of the line for many years of peace of mind. By March that refrigerator had so many problems and 6 repairs. Kenmore agreed to send a replacement in April 2015. It is now September 2015 and the second replacement refrigerator has had 4 repairs. Kenmore will not even offer an extended warranty to stand behind their product and my $3,000. Yesterday the refrigerator was repaired again. Well see how long it lasts. All Kenmore says is that the replacement in April comes with a new 1-year warranty and to contact Sears to purchase an extended warranty. Like I want to invest more money into this piece of crap? Ill start saving that money towards its replacement which will likely be in a few short years, if that. This purchase has been such a nightmare. I do not plan on buying from Sears or Kenmore ever again in the future.

I used this refrigerator for well over 12 years before moving to my current location where one was already provided for my use. Upon selling my previous duplex, I included the Kenmore as part of the deal. That was over 6 years ago and the family who purchased it is still using it today. They love it as they have continued to use it and have also had no problems with it either. That is nearly 20 years with no problems! What else could anyone ask for or expect in a quality appliance? For these reasons, I highly recommend Kenmore refrigerators as an excellent choice when one is looking for just the right refrigerator appliance... Not only are they functional, attractive, and highly durable, but they also meet the needs of diverse family sizes and needs.

Had a family member who worked in the warehouse. Got it at a reduced price for a little bit of superficial damage. Plus at the time I had a Sears credit card so that was easier to not have to put any money upfront. But the good part was never had any problems out of it. No maintenance issues or nothing. Unit was purchased in 1992 when I bought the brand new house and I owned for 13 years. The unit had a built-in ice machine and had the built-in water dispenser. The refrigerator seem to be the right height for both my wife and I and we never had no problems getting into the unit or above the unit because it was encased on three sides. However, the refrigerator unit had a matte texture to it. This texture was hard to keep clean because of the pits in it. I would have made it with a smooth finish or I wouldnt have to worry about actually using a scrubber to get into the surface and get fingerprints and stuff I guess for the kids off of but we never had any mechanical problems out of it. It always seem to run just the way it was. Never overheated. Never had to call the repairman so I was really satisfied with it.

I called my local repairman, he came looked at it and said even if he fixed it, it would break again in 6 months. So I called Sears to have a tech come out, he said it was the fan and would place an order for the part. I called sears every 2 weeks for 6 months to check status of my fan. Side by side gives more room for fridge and freezer, and the water it supplies is cold and good tasting. Ive never had any issues with it in the 10 years Ive had it. Kenmore is my go to brand because it represents quality across the board. There is so much storage space, side by side is so much better than freezer top refrigerators. It has a lot of room to store just about anything on its shelves, in the freezer as well as the refrigerator. My Kenmore refrigerator is a side by side, and has a steel finish that is so easy to keep clean. There is a water and ice machine on the outside of the freezer section, making it accessible for a healthy glass of cold water. This Kenmore side by side refrigerator is well worth the amount I paid for it, and I have not needed repairs since I bought 10 years ago. To me, the Kenmore brand is synonymous with quality.

I might just change it to a style with the freezer on the bottom or just purchase a separate stand-alone freezer. The size was perfect for our family. The spill-proof glass and gallon doors were a plus. We also liked the ability to control various parts of the refrigerator. This allowed our food to stay fresher longer. Moving the shelves around was also helpful. However, the freezer was not as wide as I would have liked. Especially with larger items like a turkey that just wont fit in the freezer. I dont think there is anything you can to do fix that without taking room from the refrigerator side of the unit. Given the option, Ill take the more refrigerator space.

First, water and ice formed on top of freezer drawers. Sears said its because I wasnt opening freezer enough, but it was water leaking from dispenser. Repairman said motor was frozen and that wasnt covered in warranty. Jan 2015, same thing with fridge. Water leaking down front on floor and freezer drawers. Paid $2400 for what? Now another repair call, and limited relief from lawsuit! Sears sucks! I bought my last appliance from them.

The water dispenser has a replaceable filter which makes me feel more comfortable drinking it. It was put in storage for over a year through hot and freezing temperatures. It still works fine. I feel very comfortable with the size of the freezer, something I find many of to be too small. The shelves including those on the door, are adjustable. I got a side by side refrigerator the next time I got one but this one worked for many many years. It was a little small but still fully functional and it didnt take up too much space which is always good to have. I liked the big freezer personally because I eat a lot of frozen foods. Plain and white but clean and simple is how I would describe it. It had a good place to place magnets on the front and it wasnt nice enough that you were afraid of damaging it. I dont think I could have sold it to someone even in a garage sale but it served our purposes well which was primarily to keep our food cold or chilled.

I cook in large batches so I always have tons of leftovers. The freezer seems like it is always overloaded. There is not really room in the fridge for really large containers or a multiple layer cake. This fridge is in our basement so it didnt need to be fancy or stainless but it looks good, has clean lines, etc. This was a lower end model, purchased to be a backup unit in the basement. I only need it to do one thing which is stay cold. And it does stay cold reliably, so Im happy.

The vegetable crisper was absolutely wonderful at keeping the vegetables fresh and crisp. The meat keeper actually kept the meat fresh and tasty for a longer time than other refrigerators that I have owned. The fridge was energy efficient and economical to operate. The only reason that I do not own a Kenmore fridge at present time is because I was given a kitchenaid fridge, but when this one needs to be replaced I will be purchasing another Kenmore fridge.

We have the black color. It arrived undamaged. It has retired for kids and it has resisted scratches. It also fit our kitchen nicely. The freezer portion is a bit cramped but he fridge has plenty of room, we especially love the crisper drawers. Also, the door easily holds two gallons of milk on one shelf. It works great. The only problem we have had is that it sometimes make a little ice. It otherwise has had no problems. It also is easy for the kids to operate.

The size of the fridge is nice, not too big or too small, however it could use a little more storage space in my own opinion but it is nonetheless still satisfactory. I really honestly was never too crazy about having a white fridge just because it gets dirty so easily but this one is easy to clean off so I am still happy with it. Not an eye sore. But we really needed a bigger one and decided to get a side-by-side with a bigger freezer. That was about four years ago. We had to sell the house due to a family situation. We moved into a house owned by my mother which already had an adequate refrigerator which is not a Kenmore. But if we do need another one, I will definitely look into getting another Kenmore. I believe they are well-built, they seem to not to require much repairs and they definitely last a long time.

I chose this Kenmore refrigerator when my 4 year old LG refrigerator was unrepairable due to a $40 part and the Sears warranty paid me out to get a new refrigerator. This refrigerator has met my expectations. I like the bright LED lights. They make everything easy to see and it really brighten up the whole refrigerator. The air filter is really good at keeping food smells out and keeping it smelling fresh. The French doors are great that you can open the two doors and you can see everything. The large bottom freezer is nice with two drawers on the top which is great at keeping things organized. The deli drawer is great as well that you can see what deli meats and cheese you have. However, I dislike where the water filter is placed. It takes up room on the top shelf, it would be better if it was placed in another spot. The shelves that slide in to make room for taller items are really useless. When you slide the one shelf in you are unable to get to the back of 2 shelfs without removing the tall items. The ice maker because it is in the door is small and the ice gets stuck and you have to break it up so you can get it out of the door.

Had several service calls and parts replacement over the next 6 months; was given a new refrigerator in March 2014 because of the lengthy delay in receiving the new part (for the 2nd time). In less than one year, the same problem re-surfaced with the new fridge (same model). In addition to the flawed dispenser system, I have had multiple issues with scheduling/rescheduling repair appointments. I will not purchase another Kenmore Elite/LG again.

It looks like a big fridge. It does hold 30 dozen eggs and still has a little space left. The appearance is nice but the design of it makes it small inside. Its nice to have the extra but takes too much space up. Its not worth the value when you see how much space you are losing due to the poor design of the inside of the fridge. I never had any problems with it and never had to take anywhere to get checked out. Im single so it was plenty big enough for all my needs. I never had a problem with it unless I tried to put a 39 pack of beer in it. The top freezer is just right for what I put in it. Mine was white and stood up in the corner. It had three shelves and top freezer with a produce draw. It had side shelves and it was not too big or small for my needs. It was brand new and had a warranty. It never quit so it valuable to me.

We have a large family of six people and it is really nice to not have to go to the store every few days. My fridge holds enough for two weeks worth of food. I love the size and the color. There is still no dings in it. It looks like it is still brand new. I have had it for a year now. This fridge was very expensive. I like the value that I got with this fridge. It is a great model.

My refrigerator is an average size refrigerator. Even though it is not a big refrigerator it still meet my needs with space and etc. I have no regrets with getting this refrigerator and I hope that I will be able to deal with Kenmore again soon as far as brands. My refrigerator is black and medium size built. It has great handles and sturdy shelves. It also have a great sturdy structure with the containers down at the bottom. The refrigerator is an overall great value. At the time I was buying it I was on a budget and needed something that supplied my needs without costing me a lot of money.

We bought this fridge new at a scratch and dent appliance center. It was delivered on September 23 and by January 7 it stopped working efficiently after 115 days. The service tech says it is a bad/leaking evaporator, so we are awaiting news of what will happen next. A Major inconvenience to say the least. We have gone to the dealer once already today and will need to return to negotiate what happens next. The warranty was only for 90 days, so hopefully we can work something out.

We purchased a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator with the ice maker and water dispenser in the door and freezer on bottom in 2006. Within less than a year, we had to have the ice maker fixed. A year after that, we had the same problem--we had to pay for it then. After spending $2200+ for the refrigerator, you should not have to buy an extended warranty. The water filter for the refrigerator costs $50 and I was told the ice maker wont work unless its been replaced. Now the whole thing may have burned up had my husband not been home. The light had not been turning off after the door closed (we had never changed the original bulbs), which caused the plastic around the lights to melt an bubbled the plastic on the refrigerator above it.

I cannot give them zero stars. Purchased a Kenmore Pro refrigerator in 2017 and quit cooling on 6/2/2020. Almost made it 3 years. I did some reading and troubleshooting and found that the good old LG linear compressor is bad. Called Sears and they explained that the compressor has a warranty but the labor is not covered? Repair tech showed up this morning 6/15/2020 to take a look. Compressor is bad. Will cost $493.00 to repair!!! You pay over $3000 for a refrigerator and then need to spend $500 every 3 years? Please do yourself a favor and avoid, Sears, Kenmore, and LG refrigerators at all costs.

It has three shelves inside to easily stack the food for freezes. It even has a pull out drawer for extra storage. When food is kept in there it stays nice and cold. It is big like the size of a full-size fridge, except for the fact that it is all freezer. It has lots of space inside and very deep too. It is a tall, white, solid color freezer that is square in shape. It also needs a fairly big space to fit into. Overall it has great value and I would highly recommend this freezer. Since I bought it I have never had a problem with it. It runs nice and quietly.

Apologies to those who have had positive experiences with their LG/Kenmore Elite fridges. Would recommend taking a look at LG complaints against similar Kenmore fridges, dating from purchases several years ago thru as recent as a few months ago. Buyer beware, based on my personal experience since purchasing same in 07/12. Purchased unit for over $3K, had repairs for upgrade within few months following purchase. Repairman warned that LG fridges are the most common callouts and replaced a rear baffle containing different cooling air-flow, along with the primary computer board.Worked fine for several more months, then experienced a common RF error on display. Found a repairman who graciously shared with me the process of removing all food from the fridge, unplugging same, and waiting 24 hours for defrosting ice that had built up in freezer compartment, then plugging the fridge back in and restocking it after confirming that the cooling was functioning correctly. This has been done 4 additional times before a mid Feb. 16 noise caught our attention. Contacted repairman, who said it sounded like the fan was rubbing on ice that had built up... So once again, food was removed, but this time the repairman came to investigate the fan damage. $330 later... including several days delay due to scheduled appointments, he added another defroster controller and yet a different air-flow panel than the first replacement. Fridge compartment and Freezer area were still working prior to these repairs...15 days later, noticed fan noise again, but this time there was no cooling in either fridge or freezer compartments. Unplugged fridge, removed food, while throwing a fair quantity away... Called repairman, he said to plug it back in and see how it works... Presently at that point, but have become increasingly cynical about this product and the remaining options. I am not a person sold on warranties, unfortunately, I hold the belief that there should be some portion of pride as products are built, along with a reasonable ability to stand behind them. Neither LG or Sears Customer service offers any additional support, aside from buying their warranties, similar in cost to my last repair bill, and with it a one year maintenance plan... The coverage is not very good and other plans around my area are similar in cost/return on investment.I searched the Consumer Affairs reporting against LG fridges in general and it is current with page after page of homeowners confirming worse experiences with service, and lack of any ownership regarding these issues... Yet LG is allowed to continue selling their products without any disruption to their financial income. There was mention of class action suit, but I notice those folks mentioning same were not allowed to visibly display their Email addresses. Being unfamiliar, and first time posting because of this blatant disregard for the consumers, I am uncertain of how much this posting will actually be edited out... LG fridges, in particular, and Sears, have a zero rating (even though I hesitated even applying 1 star due to CA requirements for publishing my comments) based on their lack of willingness to support what they have sold and admit the issues which have been reported by many customers. I love how it works... how it keeps the food cold and freezes whats necessary. I highly say Im quite pleased and I wouldnt have it any other way. I would truly recommend the product. The company is quite good. No matter what Ill still buy the product. It took me years to find good product and thats what I love. The value is good and I said to my family trust me. I cant stress. I have had several repair calls and appointments on this since it was bought in 2009 and this issue is still not resolved. The Customer Service department has told me that my warranty is invalid (which it is not). The customer service today went as far as hanging up on my husband while he was complaining about our refrigerator problem, freezing his insulin.

Its just the one that we saw that looked like the right fit for our family, and this refrigerator hasnt let us down yet. Sometimes the door on our refrigerator doesnt seal closed the way that it should, though this has never lead to any problems. But this could probably be improved. But other than that, I like how well the Kenmore Refrigerator works, most of all. It also has the perfect amount of storage for our needs.

My letter to sears customer service: I am writing to you today to express my sincere displeasure with the quality of customer service I have received from Sears. As you are probably aware, I purchased a new, top of the line Kenmore Elite refrigerator from my local Sears store in May of 2012. Since then, this refrigerator has stopped working twice. Both times I called Sears to repair it and both times I was told it needed a new PCB (part number EBR 73093602) and a new Duct assembly (part number ADJ 73252202). The first service call was covered by the manufacturers 1 year warranty, the more recent call was not.The technician who was sent on the most recent occasion mentioned to me that the problem I am experiencing is a known defect and has been assigned Service Bulletins. This was confirmed by the customer service representative that I spoke to on the phone. The CSR went on to give me the actual SB numbers of CREF20121236 and CREF20131371. Knowing now that this is a documented recurring problem, I had reasonably expected Sears to stand behind their product and cover the cost of the repair. Apparently I was wrong. After numerous phone calls and being transferred form one representative to another, the best resolution I was offered was a 10% discount off the cost of the repair. I find this totally unacceptable.My refrigerator has been inoperative for 2 weeks now, and will remain so for at least another week as that is when the parts arrive and the next service appointment is scheduled. Again, this is totally unacceptable. In the interim, Ive been forced to incur the additional expense of renting a refrigerator to avoid further loss of food due to spoilage. My experience with Sears up to this point has been extremely disappointing to put it mildly. The unwillingness to stand behind their products, especially knowing of the recurring defect, is deplorable. When we purchased our Kenmore elite refrigerator model # 795.77563600 Serial # 603KR02266 we were told it was top of the line. Little did we know what they really meant was top of the line to constantly break! The first thing to go was the fan, then the motor, then the ice maker froze solid and was leaking water all over. The glass that goes on top of the veggie pull out drawers shattered and the plastic frame of the veggie drawers cracked right in the middle! We still had warranty so everything was replaced or repaired. I refused to pay $500.00 to keep the warranty for another year and being everything had just been replaced/repaired, I didnt anticipate any more problems. Boy was I wrong! The seals around the doors cracked and tore, and the ice maker froze up. Literally its ONE BIG PIECE OF ICE!Then, one day I was sitting in the living room when I heard water splashing. I went to the kitchen and the water dispenser was spitting out water as if someone had a glass pressing on the water dispenser lever!! I thought the dispenser had somehow become stuck. However after I pressed it over and over trying to unstick it, the water didnt stop. I had to open the doors to get it to stop spurting out water! I had to leave the doors open because every time I closed them the water would start coming out again. My husband finally got home and had to disconnect the water at the back of the refrigerator! We are amazed that this thing is actually still working (keeping the temps. accurate in both freezer and refrig.) I have NEVER been so disappointed in any product as I am in Kenmore Elite!To this day I refuse to purchase anything from Sears because of the bad service and more importantly the HORRIBLE PRODUCT we were sold! All Sears had to say was, The only thing we can do is send our repair guys out, but youre going to have to pay for their services because you didnt purchase our service contract! NO THANK YOU!!! Id rather save the 500 bucks and purchase a new refrig. somewhere else being that the older the appliance, the higher the price goes on the service contracts!!! It is a huge refrigerator with a compact ice maker and a 3 tiered freezer drawer. The lighting inside is amazing and it functions very well. I do not like the outer finish too much. The area around the water/ice dispenser is plastic and can crack. The finish is aluminum and shows every scuff/dent/fingerprint.
The only reason I chose this Kenmore refrigerator was because it was cheap.

I thoroughly liked this black fridge from start to finish. This fridge was extremely quiet and I was sad to move and leave it behind. I wish I could have taken it to our new house but instead, we left it for the next family to enjoy. But I would add more space on the inside with the location of the shelving unit - as well as change up what colors are abolished. The color wasnt my favorite choice but it works for a refrigerator. Kenmore definitely met my initial expectations. I will buy again and tell others to buy as well.
