Keeps foods and beverages cold and refreshing. I would recommend this brand and model to everyone. One of the top retailers in the industry. With durability and pricing in hand, I couldnt turn it down compared to other manufacturers. It is compact enough to fit all of my food and beverages, and not enough to take up a lot of kitchen space. I like that the trays are adjustable and can compensate for a lot of different types of groceries. The appearance is something that is great to show off to guests and company. I like that the outer appearance is coated with stainless steel painted over with extra durable acrylic paint. The value of the refrigerator is something that has exceeded my expectations greatly. I didnt expect my refrigerator to last as long as it has now, but it hasnt shown one sign of breaking down, or even needing maintenance.

Refrigerator had enough room for all the items you would find in a refrigerator. Large drawers and adjustable shelves to fit large 2 liter bottles. The refrigerator was pretty plain in appearance so it didnt especially stand out but I enjoyed the subtle look to my Kenmore refrigerator. The Kenmore refrigerator will cost you more in the pocketbook but the increased cost assures you that you have purchased a quality refrigerator.

Being retired and downsizing doesnt mean poor quality in appliances. Kenmore units are dependable and very reliable. Excellent quality, easy to clean. Freezer space is a good size. Delivery and quick set up by Sears on time and efficient. I love owning a frost free freezer. Lots of storage. This unit keeps all our food fresh and accessible with little fuss. Having deep gallon sized door bins and adjustable glass shelves keep drinks, even the large bottles, and all our snacks, and fresh produce in the front, easy to find. Love having a white refrigerator. It brightens the room. Great buy for under $600.00.The large bins are great for storing a lot of different food items. Its so small on the outside but looks can be deceiving. This unit is bigger inside. With a spacious top mount freezer and frost-free. Giving me more time with the family. My unit is a white Kenmore 20 cu. ft. single door top freezer refrigerator. Very simple and efficient food storage. Easy to clean, slide out, glass storage shelves. The size was great for a small family. We are a family of six and we really need a lot of room in the freezer. And when we filled it to capacity it would get a build up of ice. The refrigerator was a little old fashioned. White appliances dont have a modern appearance. It didnt take up a lot of room but it wasnt small either. We got the refrigerator on sale at an appliance warehouse. The price was reasonable enough. So the price fit into my budget and I thought it was a good buy.

I phoned Sears and found out that it was no longer under warranty and I will have to pay full price. I went online and looked at the Consumer Report - out of 54 reviews - 38 are 1 Star. Sears - out of 55 reviews - 37 are 1 Star. Amazon has 2 reviews - 1st is out of 3 - 3 are 1 star / 2nd review is 2.5 out of 5 stars with a 67% 1 star rating. TopRefrigerator Reviews.com 2,696 Views – 2.32 star out of 42 votes. NO RECALL was done on item.Sales clerk at Sears in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on Friday June 29 2018 around 6:45 p.m. – She told me that KENMORE does not make refrigerators to last, that is why you have to buy the extended warranty which cost $499.99 and keep it current for any future problems. NOTE... it only covers 25% cost of parts. I was also told by her that Kenmore is not a Sears Brand. Funny when I look up Kenmore all phone numbers lead to SEARS.

I have 3 kids and even with them and husband going in and out of it all the time, nothing ever broke or came loose or stopped working. 2: It is very sleek and beautiful 3: There was enough room to store a months worth of groceries for my rather large family. Fits well with a standard sized kitchen but also looks great in my larger sized kitchen. It also comes in different colors to match whatever decor you happen to have. This appliance is sleek and beautiful. It matched my other Kenmore appliances perfectly and its coating is very resistant to staining or fingerprints, unlike many other refrigerators we looked at. For the price we paid, we received an extremely durable, lasting refrigerator. I would recommend it to anyone of my friends who need something that is going to stand the test of time and tons of use!

This is the best fridge that I have owned. Ive had 0 issues in the couple of years of owning it. Side by side is an excellent addition to my home. The freezer portion is a little small for my needs, but I make do. I bulk freeze a lot of items. The fridge side is perfect and has enough options for adjustability to fit everything I need for a family. I love the stainless steel appearance. It holds up well to abuse. The brushed looks helps hide minor scratches. The only issue I have is keeping fingerprints off the stainless steel. I am very pleased with the value of this fridge. The size vs the value was just right for my family of four. The added value of the water dispenser is a great addition.

We tried a different brand a couple of summers ago and it just would not keep the temperature cold in the freezer or the refrigerator so we took it back. We like that with Kenmore, the drinking water dispenser is inside the refrigerator so instead of being on the door on the outside I don’t have water stains on the front of my fridge. The thing that I dislike is that the glass shelves do not fit tightly in the frames. On occasion when I have been cleaning out the fridge I worry that I am going to drop the glass on the floor.

It worked very well at holiday times when we had an awful lot of leftovers, I would like to say how satisfied I am with this refrigerator, its been working great for years. I love the style of the refrigerator, it was easy to match with all my decor. I certainly loved the color and design. I would recommend others to buy this refrigerator, my whole family is happy with it. The value was perfect, for what I paid for it, I certainly got my moneys worth. Freezer chest is spacious and maintains excellent temperature. It is 18 cu ft. space is sufficient for a family of four. Can store vegetables, meat, chicken, turkey, beer, soda, and many other items. Plenty of shelf space. It is an attractive looking unit. Has gray color and has freezer compartment and larger regular cooling compartment. It is not too tall so we can store light things on top of it. It has excellent value. After a careful use of even five to ten years it commands a very good resale value. I never had any part go bad even after prolonged use.

Paid $2300 for this Sears Kenmore elite refrigerator and less than 3 years old its total junk. Stopped working!! Had 5 different guys out to diagnose and fix it and all 5 appliance repair people said they cant fix it! Sears is the bottom of the barrel with quality anymore. Including their craftsman tools that are no longer made in America. CRAFTSMAN TOOLS ARE ALL MADE IN CHINA! That’s right, Sears has sold out to China (and their prices are still the highest). Never ever again will I ever even step into another Sears store! That’s how I feel after getting ripped off on this refrigerator! This week I have to go out and buy another refrigerator and take the $2300 loss!

The size is big and can fit all of my food especially the refrigerator. It never lets my stuff get too hard or moldy either. I can fit a lot of food in there also. The appearance is nice. Its gray color and it looks fancy and up to date. A lot the gray color doesnt fade and the stainless steel doesnt get rusty or mold on it. The value is great and I got it at a discounted price because Im a loyal customer at a particular store. Also the squad came into my home and set it up for me.

It is definitely big enough for a regular sized family of 3 or 4 people. The only time there isnt enough room is when we are hosting a gathering. It has a very basic appearance and is white in color. I wouldnt say theres anything special about the appearance but that isnt why we bought this model. It is more of a bargain refrigerator so I think its a great value. I want to say it was around $1000? No repair bills of any kind so we cant complain.

I feel as if it could be a bit bigger, especially along the door area. The freezer needs to be slightly deeper. For a three-person household the fridge is a bit small, but it would be ideal for someone who cooks a lot and is single. Its a standard looking fridge. If you want a simple white fridge, its a nice addition to a kitchen. I paid a bit more than I think it was worth in the long run, but overall Im happy with the purchase when compared with what Ive had in the past. I think its a good value.

Perfect for couples. Also, it fit quite easily in the kitchen, though not too convinced with the doors opening side by side. Would recommend to get if kitchen isnt so cluttered together. The appearance is very basic with the stainless steel, it isnt too flashy or too simple. But, it scratches easily when putting things on the doors like magnetic objects. Also, I feel like it is overpriced because its a very simple refrigerator and its functions arent very complex at all.

I had the same issue as the other complainants. I bought a Kenmore refrigerator in 2008. Four weeks ago, the compressor went out. It took two weeks to get someone from Sears to come out and evaluate the fridge. After this, it took 10 additional days for someone to come out and repair it. My family had to live out of coolers in the backyard for nearly a month. We paid nearly $200 dollars in bags of ice. The refrigerator was finally fixed (for the time being). I bought a Kenmore because my parents have always bought this brand. Sears has always been a trusted name as I grew up. It is unfortunate that the appliance has become so unreliable and customer service has been forgotten. I will never buy a Sears appliance again.

I like the Kenmore brand and have other appliances so all of them match. The fridges stainless steel makes it look sleek and clean. It goes well with all my other appliances. Its quiet and my children are able to open it with ease and thats a big help. Also, it was a really good deal and I have a card to Best Buy so that helped with making smaller payments instead of one big payment at once. However I dont like that Its not magnetic and I cant put up pics or things my kids made up on the fridge. Its also very annoying to clean and fingerprints get all over. You can wipe it down as much as you want but the lines are going to show and next time someone opens the fridge the prints are there.

Purchased my Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer February 2013. Had issues right from the start. The ice maker didnt work but there was a thick layer of ice in the bottom of the freezer. Turns the tubing for the icemaker was incorrectly installed. In 2016 the ice maker worked but didnt dispense the ice. Had to have a technician fix that. Now in February 2017 I discovered the back of the refrigerator is rusted through and there is a hunk of ice on the back of the refrigerator. I purchased an extended warranty after the ice maker incident but Im now told that the fine print in the contract states that issues caused by rust are not covered. This refrigerator is only 4 years old. Ive had other refrigerators that have lasted me 20 yrs. Will NOT be buying another Kenmore!

The freezer work perfectly fine. Its a standard refrigerator and it performed as I expected a refrigerator freezer to. The refrigerator met and exceeded my expectations in terms of space. Now as far as the freezer is concerned it was able to hold much more than the regular items that I would keep stored in the freezer. Standard refrigerator on bottom with freezer on top standard regular white nothing fancy but nice and clean. Sturdy handles on both refrigerator and freezer. Pretty good value for the money. Thank goodness isnt overly price. While comparing prices to other brands the Kenmore was the best value for the particular model that I got.

We purchased a Kenmore Fridge french door with bottom freezer in 2010, Model # 795.78406.804, Serial # 0004MRHR19777, Mfg. Date 2010.04. To date, we have had 5 occurrences of the fridge portion turning off. No light, no error code, no cooling, just shut off. The first event happened sometime during the spring of 2011 while we were away from home. Lost complete contents of the fridge. Called Sears repair (note: no longer under warranty) and had the controller/computer board replaced at $350 plus labor. Thankfully bought extended service plan because 8 months later the same thing happened..... again replaced same board. This failure action continued a couple of times over the next few months and we were told by service to unplug the unit for about 5 minutes and it would restart. It did!!! Service person (a contractor for Sears) told us he has serviced other units with the same issue and if the issue is not with a defective component, the unplug/replug procedure works. Well it just happened again and the unplug/replug procedure worked again. Low and behold, my wife found out from the manual that the unit should be shut off if you are away from home for more than about a week. Makes us wonder if this failure mode is known by the manufacturer and is programmed into the controller. Kind of an unusual way to go Green, dont you think. Will likely scrap the unit after I carefully research other brands. I say scrap because I do not want to burden anyone else with the unit by donating to charity.

I am so unhappy with the Kenmore refrigerator I bought from Sears three years ago. Today I had the second repair done, which has now nearly doubled the cost I paid for it. Ive never had a refrigerator that stopped working, let alone twice in its first three years. My old Frigidaire was still running, but it was so old that the plastic inside it was crumbling apart! But not one repair! With the cost of this Kenmore, two Sears repairs (labor was $258 for a 15 minute repair), and all of the food that had to be thrown out. This is the most expensive refrigerator I could have purchased and I hate it. I will never buy from Sears again.

We purchased this refrigerator (Kenmore Refrigerator Model 970-420423) on April 26, 2012, and it is the noisiest fridge Ive ever seen. The motors keep constantly running. Apparently, it has 3 motors in it, and with requiring so much pressure, every time we open the fridge portion, the top freezer pops open and often. It doesnt close completely, leaving a gap of about 1/4. If a person is gone all day, they can easily find that the freezer section has been open 1/4 all day. Were so dissatisfied with our purchase and because it takes awhile to realize its problems, Sears would only send a repairman out to check it out. He says the material they use to insulate the fridges now does not do anything to soundproof them. He gave the reasons for the freezer door popping open which doesnt help us any. Were very sorry we purchased from Sears. We wont trust them again. This product is supposed to be made by Maytag, so, watch out.

The size is great to hold everything and also everything fits great. There is a lot of space. It is a great brand and it fits my needs. I will buy this brand again if I should ever need another one. I bought large cake and it was so easy to store with just a switch of a shelf. Storing items for large parties is very helpful as well with dinner trays and vegetables platters. Although it is a great working fridge it does have its problems. The power consumption on the fridge is honestly not even that good and I would definitely check it on the website. But it pretty much exceeded expectations because it is a very affordable fridge and comes with many different features that I could not be happier with. I would honestly buy it again.

I too spent my hard earned dollars to purchase a Kenmore bottom mount refrigerator. Within two years of purchase it began leaking water onto my kitchen floor. Not only is this problematic in terms of actually having cold storage for our food but a hazard. Having been unaware of the problem, I took a major dive on the kitchen floor when I slid in the puddle of water. One more reason to BEWARE of purchasing from Sears. Seems like Sears will not change their irresponsible practices until a law suit forces them to do so.

The ice maker produced ice quickly and they never had an odd taste like previous ice maker. The refrigerator held temperature well. But the freezer side never seemed big enough. Also, I did not like the lights inside the refrigerator. Melted the light fixture when it did not shut off when door was closed and ruined food on top shelf by light. It is somewhat easy to get someone at Kenmore to fix any issues. The light issue was solved within a few days- although I wish I waited a year to get the new refrigerator with the new light design. The new models have a different light with LED.

I owned it for about 8 years and as far as I know the people who got it after me still have it and its still working good. Thats been about 15 years ago. It was a base model, no ice maker or anything so it probably was one of the cheapest ones they made. So I guess you could say Kenmore is an excellent brand.

The refrigerator was purchased with my home (I did not purchase it separately). The refrigerator was clean and well kept - and remained in this condition throughout my ownership. We liked it but nowadays so many new models and designs are available that people have more to choose from and I guess people will love the latest designs. I wish we had these options then. The inside of the fridge part runs very well, but after a year the water/ice dispenser ceased to work, and you have to be careful with the freezer as if you put too much in the top shelf, it will leak water everywhere and cause a minor flood. The size of my fridge is fairly good! I can usually fit a months worth of groceries in at the same time with no problem. The freezer side, not so great. I really have to pack it in there. Sleek and sophisticated, fits in pretty much any kitchen. Doesnt require too much cleaning to keep up appearance and what cleaning it does require is easy. I pretty much got what I paid for. I could get the dispenser fixed, Im sure, but for the price I paid for this refrigerator (it was on sale), I got an awesome deal.

It runs quietly and holds a lot of food. I love not having to bend over just to grab something out of the refrigerator. It holds all we need for two people and we have a lot of leftovers. We like how much can go into the door shelves including both large and small bottles. The Kenmore refrigerator looks clean and sharp. It has kept its appearance and looks just as good as the day it was put in. We have it in a recessed area and it blends in nicely. It has lasted a long time and no problems and that makes it have a lot of value in my mind. I would definitely recommend it.

Our Kenmore bottom freezer fridge cost $1700 and the dreaded LG compressor quit cooling in less than 3 years. Purchased Oct. 2017 and quit cooling July 2020. Opened the fridge and water from ice went all over the floor. Fridge and freezer were both way above correct temps. Had to throw out every thing. I noticed the compressor was VERY hot so I unplugged it until a repairman could look at it. Turned it on before he came and 3 hours later he said he could have fried an egg on it. And that it needed a new compressor and was the LG brand made for Kenmore and known to have this compressor problem. Very disappointing as my previous Kenmore fridge lasted 25+ years.

Hello, it is sad that you pay over 3,200 for a refrigerator and it dies four years later. Had two service guys come out and looked at the refrigerator told me would be over a thousand to fix it. So sad... I loved my refrigerator. Hope to keep it for more than over 10 years. But to die less than four and to pay 3200 and the company just say, Sorry, you should of taken out an extended warranty. It was the evaporator assembly and compressor. I will never buy a Kenmore anything anymore. Plus I will never buy a high dollar refrigerator again. Breaks my heart that I have this nice refrigerator that will not keep food but looks great! The repairman showed up last night and said it needed over $500 in parts and it would take 10 days to get them. He told us we should buy their extended warranty because he gets a lot of complaints about these new refrigerators that have a lot of electronics. They want over $700 for a four-year warranty. I think I got a lemon and deeply regret buying it. Why would I want to pay $4,000 for a refrigerator that breaks down spoiling all my food and a tremendous inconvenience and then be asked to spend another $700 to make sure the refrigerator works for at least 4 years?! Sears needs to go bankrupt. It is the last thing I will buy from them!

I purchased this refrigerator (Kenmore Elite French Bottom Refrigerator) in November 2014 at Sears. I also bought a three-year warranty since it was an expensive item. After about six months the refrigerator stopped working and I called for service. It took almost 2 months to get it replaced after many phone calls and aggravation. Now in 2018, the refrigerator and freezer is warm. I called for service and I have an appointment for two weeks from today. This is crazy. After many attempts to contact corporate I got nowhere. I called a local appliance store who handles Kenmore which is an LG refrigerator and he told me that the compressor is gone or you have a Freon leak of which both are expensive to repair and not worth the money. It is very labor intense due to the design. They said they see this all the time with this model. I expected to get more than four years from an expensive appliance. The tech told me that they are made very cheap (South Korea) and parts go very easily. My opinion is this is consumer fraud. You cant expect us to buy a new refrigerator every four years. I know things go wrong but this is a manufacture defect in the design of this refrigerator and the consumer shouldnt have to pay for it. I believe LG will replace the compressor but the labor is at least $1000 and thats if there arent any other parts that need to be repaired. It also needs to be done by an LG tech and this cant take 6 weeks at best. This also doesnt give me a guarantee that it will last another year. When I called Sears all they were interested in getting my appointment scheduled and to sell me another warranty and then ask about my home-improvement. What help can I get. I will file a complaint with BBB and the Attorney General and Consumer Protection and I will try to get the news media to investigate. What a rip off. I hope someone reads this and responds to do the right thing.

If I had known how it would act, we would have paid more for the next model up. It is a plain white fridge with a textured finish that is difficult to keep clean. It is moderate in size and sticks out past the cabinets. It is just a normal fridge with no bells or whistles. The size is ok for a kitchen but we need an outside fridge to hold extra milk and food. The cheese drawer is very small and the produce drawers dont really have humidity control. Since the freezer and fridge share a thermostat the fridge often freezes things if we want to keep the freezer cold enough to make solid ice.

I finally called to get a repair technician out to address the issue. We were still covered under our warranty so there were not costs incurred. Upon the completion of the repair I asked the technician what would happen if the problem persists. I know that our warranty would soon be expiring and was unsure if a renewal would be necessary. The technician informed me that if the same problem persists that Sears would cover the re-repair for one year. Seeing that we didnt have any other issues with the refrigerator aside from the ice maker we decided not to extend our warranty. Five months later the same problem with the ice maker has returned. I called in this morning to schedule a technician to visit and was told that it would not be a covered service. Although I was told by the visiting technician that the repair was covered for a year, a Sears rep told me that it was only covered for 90 days.Needless to say I am very disappointed with this. The issue that we are having is the same issue that was supposedly fixed. If the problem persists, then the problem was clearly not fixed, and a re-repair should be covered. I have all Kenmore appliances throughout my home and have been very pleased with their quality and performance. Its disappointing to know that a loyal customer can only depend on a 90-day repair service when we have willingly paid thousands in purchases and warranties over the years. Its disappointing to know that Sears does not support their repairs and will not offer a remedy for a repair that has not properly addressed. They dont trust their technicians enough to warranty their repair work, nor do they stand behind their loyal customers. Very, very disappointed. The delivery was also free. I had the side by side Kenmore refrigerator model. I liked the feature that allowed you to get water through the door without opening the refrigerator. I liked the specially air controlled containers that kept these vegetables and fruits fresh longer. I liked the adjustable shelves which made it easier to position my various foods. Shelves were easy to remove and easy to clean. However, I would have liked more room in the freezer for larger frozen foods. I sometimes found that I could not fit a large turkey or cake into the freezer. I also found the freezer part harder to clean than the refrigerator and get into the small spaces. Other than that, I was very happy with my Kenmore refrigerator.

Have a 5 1/2 yr. old Kenmore Elite bottom freezer fridge. The unit developed a leak in the cooling system. Of course the warranty is expired (5 yr.). Have been without a working fridge for 6 weeks and counting. Service dept. is terrible. Have been here 6 times. Bought that extended warranty at the time of the first call to Sears to try and offset the repair cost. Have a whole different problem with that. The leak ended up burning up the compressor (which the tech. said wouldnt happen) which lead to another call to service to get the compressor fixed, which ended up being another call to service because the replacement compressor is bad too. Have to wait days and days between appointments, with the last one originally being 13 days until my constant complaining got it lowered to a mere 7 days. Problem has escalated to sears Executive Complaint Dept. which is helping but is too little too late. I will never buy anything that has a Kenmore or Craftsman name on it again. My days of shopping at Sears is also over. Do yourself a favor and avoid Sears and their service dept. at all costs.

Kenmore is/has been the only brand I have ever considered purchasing. Their refrigerator seems to work better than other refrigerators. It keeps things cold. However the plastic drawers do not seem to stay on track real good when loaded. There needs to be some way to make them more sturdy to where they fit on the tracks and stay on them better. We purchased all of our appliances from Sears including the side by side refrigerator with bottom freezer (Kenmore Elite - 795). Last week we started hearing a fan noise. Turns out the inside of the refrig is building ice. The tech said this is an issue with this model. They will need to replace the control board and we get to defrost the refrigerator 24 hours prior to them coming back (BS) which by the way isnt for two weeks. If you pay $3,000 for a refrig it should work properly. We are tempted to have them just come and pick it up.

This fridge is used in the lower level family room. It fits in perfectly with the decor and keeps everyone out of the main fridge upstairs. it is easy and convenient to clean. Yes this works perfectly for a second refrigerator as it holds mostly snacks and a few overflow items. Fits in beautifully with the decor. Clean easily. I expect it to last a very long time. We have this refrigerator in black. The are that it is in is done in soft blacks, greys and splashes of nude, so the contrast of this dark black equipment sets it up nicely and once again the ease of cleaning is great. I cant complain. As second refrigerator, its cost was well within our budget which made it perfect. The fact that we were able to get this in this color for a price we needed is a great factor as well. It is definitely worth the money spent.

Poor Ice Maker performance on our Kenmore model 106.5113 Refrigerator (Purchased April 21st, 2015). We are dissatisfied with the quantity of ice our new Kenmore refrigerator produces. We called Sears for a repair technician to come out and look at the unit. The technician explained the Sears no longer offers a repair service for these units and he was a third party contractor. He couldnt find anything wrong with the unit and said the new unit is not as good as the old ones. He suggested the accelerator option to force the refrigerator to make ice faster. I told him we tried that and even in accelerator mode, it only fills about one-half of the ice bin in twenty-four hours. We usually do without ice about midday. Our last Kenmore lasted 24 yrs and until the day it died it still would fill the ice bin in less than 24 hours. I wish I would have had it repaired now instead of this piece of junk. His only advice was to use accelerator mode. This is an indoor ice maker and it is very inferior to our previous machine if thats the case. We use to fill a small ice chest with our old machine and it would be full again in a few hours. I dont ever remember this thing ever being full. I gave their service department a poor review so they called me back for a follow-up and said that Sears didnt make Kenmore anymore and I would have to contact the manufacturer. They said this was a Whirlpool unit, gave me their number. I called Whirlpool and they said they didnt make the unit either. Im going back to the store for a refund. No wonder Sears is struggling these days. What a nightmare!

I bought two Kenmore Energy star refrigerators one for my use and one for my rental unit. The energy use is very low as stated by the company, less than a sixty watt bulb. Both refrigerators keep food warm and cozy in the fridge section, and the freezer sections are always below the freezing point. If you keep the doors closed and the thermostat set at max cold you get very stable temperatures as shown in the picture. Freezer +/- 32 and Fridge +/- 15. This review is relevant for 6000 and 7000 series of Kenmore top freezer models, hope it helps.

When I first called they tried to hard sell me on the extended warranty. I refused the warranty because the part is covered under a 10 year warranty. Now every time I call I’m told that the order is “in process” and I will be contacted in 3-5 business days. It has been a month without a refrigerator. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am feeding a family of four with a mini fridge, that we had to purchase on top of the food we lost when the fridge stopped working and the local repairman we had come out who charged us but couldn’t work on it because it’s under warranty, and then we had to pay the Sears technician for coming out. I could handle most of this except that I have been given zero information as to how long this will really take and am getting to the point where I feel like it could be months until this is fixed, if ever! We purchased Kenmore based on their high quality and reliability. The quality is terrible and the customer service is terrible. So many time I have been told that the part was on its way only for it to not arrive and then we lose our appointment and still don’t have a working fridge! I can’t get through to anyone that is helpful. I don’t know what to do, but I do know I will NEVER purchase a Kenmore or anything from Sears ever again.

The quality of the fridge leaves much to be desired. I admit that I didnt do my research because I was in a rush and just trusted the name. I wasnt aware that LG was the manufacturer of the Kenmore Elite or I would have know to avoid it. The fridge looks great on the outside and at first glance on the inside, however when you open and close the draws they feel as they are about to break. My fridge is 2.5 years old and water was leaking from the bottom. I figured its the copper hose that feeds the unit but discovered the unit itself was leaking. Upon inspection of the internal hoses I can see cracking in multiple areas of the white hose that feeds the water to the ice maker as well as the hose that feeds the water dispenser. My fridge is doing its job at keeping frozen as well as fresh food fresh bit I paid for more features that just dont work. Save your money and avoid this fridge!!

I adopted the refrigerator and it worked really well until it started to fail (expansion valve and compressor). The size was just right for a family of four and worked fairly well for the produce section although the refrigerator is several years old. It has an appealing appearance. The color was white and had no problems with chipping or easily scratching. It was easy to clean with soap and water. It worked for about 3 months and was at least 17 years old when we finally found an economical refrigerator to replace it.

This is an LG refrigerator with the Kenmore nameplate. The ice capacity is a joke at about 2 lbs per day. It takes forever to make ice even when you use the Ultra Ice feature. It is very cheaply made as well. I pulled the drawer in the freezer open one day and a wheel from each side broke off when it reached the end of the track. The freezer also frosts food really bad and you have to throw it away after a few months. Very dissatisfied with this refrigerator which is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned!! And I paid $1600 for it five years ago.

But if you dont need that, then this is the fridge you want. It does everything for our family of four, but sometimes wish the freezer was a little larger to fit larger amounts of beef. But this is why we have a stand alone freezer. We like to buy half sides of beef. I love the stainless steel look of the fridge and how easy it is to clean. I will never buy another fridge that isnt stainless steel. This is the best. Beautiful. Best bang for the buck. Bigly! Best looking fridge with the best features at the best price. I bought the Kenmore Elite model # 795.74025.410. It is the 29.8 cu. ft. French door bottom-freezer refrigerator. We are happy with the active finish, room and layout, but that is the end of it. The excessive noise I can live with, the lack of ice capacity too, even resetting it a couple times a week so that the water/ice dispenser works, But ice build up to the point that drawers cant even close? You want to buy a Kenmore product? That will be ok, just buy the extended warranty for as long as you want the unit to last. I for one did not buy it, and sure enough 1 year past its purchase date (just past its manufacturer warranty) and found out about all the ice it was building on the walls and behind the drawers. We had to take all of the food out and de-ice it like it was my parents fridge in 1970s.

It is big like the size of a full-size fridge, except for the fact that it is all freezer. It has lots of space inside and very deep too. It is a tall, white, solid color freezer that is square in shape. It also needs a fairly big space to fit into. Overall it has great value and I would highly recommend this freezer. Since I bought it I have never had a problem with it. It runs nice and quietly.

I purchased a brand new Kenmore refrigerator/freezer (model 795-69976-902), in April 2010. The freezer over freezes and the fridge is hot. I have had to throw away three refrigerators full of food since then. The first repair was done in August 2010 when the technician put in a new computer panel in the freezer. They had to come back again in September 23, 2010 for the same problem. This time they ordered a computer panel for the refrigerator. They came back again on October 10, 2010 to put on the part. That is a lot of time without a working fridge. Now it is August of 2011, and the same problem. The fridge is 55 degrees; all the food goes in the trashn, and the freezer is freezer burned. I replaced a 20 year old unit that I had no problems with! Today I have yet another service call for the same problem. I want a new refrigerator so that I can be more assured that it will actually work! I know I have a lemon, so I want a new one!

It is easy to clean. I do not need a big refrigerator with all of those modern mechanisms. It is the right size for me. I live alone but I have enough room if another person was to live with me. My refrigerator is white to match the decor of my kitchen. It fits perfectly in the space designated for it. It does not take up a lot of room. The vegetable and fruit compartments work very well. My vegetable stay fresh for a long time. I can my ginger ale liters in the soda compartment. It is spacious if I wanted to buy a lot of food. The freezer is a good size for the amount of frozen food I purchase. I really feel happy with my new refrigerator. It does not make a lot of noise. For the price I paid for it I did get a better value than expected. Kenmore products are usually good quality. It is not so big but it has good features and it is modern. It is of good size if it needs to be moved anywhere. It is not too high for things that I place on top of it. The doors open well and close well.

I purchased a Kenmore fridge about a year ago. On February 28th, the ice maker stopped working. I wont go into detail but short story, the tray is filling but not freezing. I called the number inside the fridge on March 2, 2017, 1-800-469-4663 and explained what is going on. The rep tells me she will get me a quote. I mentioned the fridge should be under warranty. I am told the warranty expired on February 13, 2017, 15 days before the ice maker stopped working. I asked if there was some type of grace period since this was so close to the warranty date. She tells me there is not. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there is nothing a supervisor could do either. I understand the unit is outside of warranty by 2 weeks, but this is frustrating. We spent a lot of money on a Kenmore because it was supposed to be better quality. Turns out... its not. Save your money and buy a better brand... At least one that stands behind their product.

I would recommend it to anyone but if you put stuff in the back of the fridge on top shelf it would freeze it. The size is very good for a family of two or three. I would not recommend it for a full size family as it doesnt have enough room for a big family. The freezer cant hold that much food at all so you would have to get a separate freezer but it does keep ice frozen. The fridge is white in color and the door opens to the side and has two bottom drawers and the fridge is on the top with room for about a two week frozen food supply. The value is real nice because the fridge/freezer lasted me ten years or more if you can keep it clean and free of dirt. The fridge rolls easy for clean up behind it and in the back of the fridge.

I got this refrigerator as a present, it replaced my old general electric refrigerator. I love my Kenmore. My electric bill had gone down and I have not had any problems with it. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone that needs to replace theirs. I do not have any problems fitting all of my groceries in it. Before I had a smaller refrigerator and was always having to let my daughter keep some of my groceries in her refrigerator for me. It is stainless steel and it matches all of the other appliances I have in my kitchen. I do have a problem keeping the stainless steel shiny. Someone once told me to spray wd40 on it and it would really shine. This refrigerator is very valuable to me. I do not know how much it cost because it was a gift to me. But I really love it and would pay whatever was needed if I needed to replace it.

Meaning I would like 50% off instead of 25% off of the value. The appearance has a good design and color. But from the outside it looks like a rundown appliance that needs work. But when you get to use it, it works really well and has the features and benefits that any appliance should have. My food is kept cold and fresh for when I need to eat it again. I have enough capacity to put my food inside. It holds everything with enough durability that the shelves will not break. The size also is convenient for bottles and big items that need to be kept fresh.

Freezes quickly and the door shelves have ample room to store food. The shelves are adjustable making it easy to store a lot of foods. The freezer also has ample space. The overall size isn’t too bulky in small kitchens. The size of this refrigerator is actually average for this type of appliance without actually being too bulky for small kitchens. It keeps everything at the right temperature and the freezer never frosts over my food. The crisper drawer is the perfect size. The shelves are the proper height for beverages also the crisper holds my vegetables perfectly and the shelves in the door allow me to place many bottles of various sizes. It is a very clean cut looking refrigerator. It is easy to keep clean and I loved how I was able to choose which way I wanted the doors to open because of the size of my kitchen. It was a perfect value for the size of the refrigerator. And also the appearance and choice of colors along with the cubic feet in size.

Fits perfectly in a standard size space made for fridge. Spacious interior and doesnt look bulky or out of place. Perfect size for our household. It looks simple and classic. Honestly nothing special. It looks like a standard fridge but that is enough for me. Very satisfied with it overall and wouldnt change anything. I bought this Kenmore Elite refrigerator in 11/15 and its first service call was 5/17, barely 18 months later. The Freon needed to be replaced due to a faulty valve (which will recur in about 2 years due to a design problem) -- that cost $400. Six weeks later, the food was not being kept cold and now Im told the compressor needs to be replaced! And the warranty covers the parts, but, of course, not the labor. Save yourself time and money -- DO NOT BUY KENMORE ANYTHING ANYMORE! This used to be a trusted name in appliances, but no more. The washer I bought 9 months ago doesnt get clothes clean (another review).

After reviewing the Sears website and looking at the complaints I have discovered that the Kenmore Elite has a known issue with the compressor. My fridge is only a little over a year old. The tech ordered my part on Jan 3rd and it still as of today 1/17 shows that the order is pending. Meanwhile my family is trying to live out of a mini fridge. After all the complaints and bad service reviews it should be that they have these parts on hand. This service and inability to get me my part is unacceptable. I spent over 3K on this appliance and to have it go out so soon after purchase is frustrating and I am not getting any answers. I dont recommend Sears.

Apologies to those who have had positive experiences with their LG/Kenmore Elite fridges. Would recommend taking a look at LG complaints against similar Kenmore fridges, dating from purchases several years ago thru as recent as a few months ago. Buyer beware, based on my personal experience since purchasing same in 07/12. Purchased unit for over $3K, had repairs for upgrade within few months following purchase. Repairman warned that LG fridges are the most common callouts and replaced a rear baffle containing different cooling air-flow, along with the primary computer board.Worked fine for several more months, then experienced a common RF error on display. Found a repairman who graciously shared with me the process of removing all food from the fridge, unplugging same, and waiting 24 hours for defrosting ice that had built up in freezer compartment, then plugging the fridge back in and restocking it after confirming that the cooling was functioning correctly. This has been done 4 additional times before a mid Feb. 16 noise caught our attention. Contacted repairman, who said it sounded like the fan was rubbing on ice that had built up... So once again, food was removed, but this time the repairman came to investigate the fan damage. $330 later... including several days delay due to scheduled appointments, he added another defroster controller and yet a different air-flow panel than the first replacement. Fridge compartment and Freezer area were still working prior to these repairs...15 days later, noticed fan noise again, but this time there was no cooling in either fridge or freezer compartments. Unplugged fridge, removed food, while throwing a fair quantity away... Called repairman, he said to plug it back in and see how it works... Presently at that point, but have become increasingly cynical about this product and the remaining options. I am not a person sold on warranties, unfortunately, I hold the belief that there should be some portion of pride as products are built, along with a reasonable ability to stand behind them. Neither LG or Sears Customer service offers any additional support, aside from buying their warranties, similar in cost to my last repair bill, and with it a one year maintenance plan... The coverage is not very good and other plans around my area are similar in cost/return on investment.I searched the Consumer Affairs reporting against LG fridges in general and it is current with page after page of homeowners confirming worse experiences with service, and lack of any ownership regarding these issues... Yet LG is allowed to continue selling their products without any disruption to their financial income. There was mention of class action suit, but I notice those folks mentioning same were not allowed to visibly display their Email addresses. Being unfamiliar, and first time posting because of this blatant disregard for the consumers, I am uncertain of how much this posting will actually be edited out... LG fridges, in particular, and Sears, have a zero rating (even though I hesitated even applying 1 star due to CA requirements for publishing my comments) based on their lack of willingness to support what they have sold and admit the issues which have been reported by many customers. Again, buyer beware...
