I own a Kenmore Elite Trio French door refrigerator and the large glass shelve shattered in little pieces when I went to clean it under water. This is the second same type of fridge I owned and the problem is that the freezer keeps freezing up and then defrosting to the point that even the food gets defrosted. The ice maker freezes up and stops making ice. The ice melts down, then freezes up to one block of ice. This is a $2,000 purchase and it is the second one that I have owned. The first one was left behind when I sold my home and I only experienced it for five months as I had to move.My freezer has frozen up and the tracks were frozen. When I went to pull on the freezer handle to try to open it, the door hinge came off and the door is hanging on by one hinge. It is Saturday and I had to put a trash can up against the door to try to keep the freezer from defrosting until Monday, when a service man can come out to fix the door. I am reading all of these complaints and I am not a happy camper. I will be calling Sears Monday morning with all these complaints to back up my complaint and I will get back to you to let you know how it goes. I bought this fridge last September 2009.Updated on 05/06/2012:I followed up on my service call. Well, it has been one week, and today, I finally have my Kenmore Elite Trio bottom freezer made by LG working again. Never buy Sears appliances. I spoke to the corporate office, and you cannot speak to anyone above the so-called customer service executive office people. I spoke to a Lana, and she would not tell me her supervisors name. She said it is for security reasons. Ha! The service man came out on Monday, ordered the part, and came back Thursday to install. Well, it was the wrong part for the freezer door. I ordered it again, and the appointment was made for Saturday. The service man came out, and it was a different man who came out to service the fridge. He did not charge me! I am sure they made a mistake, because I was told I would not be reimbursed for food and I would only get maybe a 10 to 15 percent discount. Its not acceptable to me, since I lost over $300.00 worth of food. Lana was not helpful; she was very rude and would not let me speak to anyone else in corporate nor would she gave me any name of who was above her.So I called another number, thinking I would get someone else. And lo and behold, I ended up being transferred to Lana again. I told her that I wanted to speak to the CEO. She said I could not speak to a higher authority. I said I will be writing a letter to the CEO, and she said it will just go to her. I also stated in our conversations that I will be standing out in front of Sears appliance entrance, telling and showing everyone about these complaints that are out on the internet about Kenmore appliances and the lousy service you get now. She said to not threaten her. So I said it was a promise, not a threat. Hmm, I wonder if she had second thoughts and really did authorize the service for free.Well, we will find out if they contact me. I will be telling them Too bad! And I will not be paying for anything, except the service call. Stay tuned. Remember my freezer door got stuck, then I tried to open it and the door fell off the hinge. That is my story. Spread the word. Do not buy appliances at Sears. Oh, I also told her I was a realtor, and I was going to tell everyone in the industry not to buy Sears appliances. Hopefully, she came to realize I was not joking.

The performance of my Kenmore refrigerator is outstanding. I love all of the feature it included. It works great and looks fantastic in my kitchen. The size is perfect. I can fit a lot of food in my fridge now compared to my old one. This Kenmore fridge has lots of space and nice compartments. The appearance of my Kenmore fridge is beautiful. It looks sharp and matches my kitchen well. I really like the look of the stainless steel. The value was a steal. My Kenmore fridge was pretty inexpensive yet worth every penny. It hold up to its standards and value. It works great and held up well.

Have bought Kenmore appliances for 20 years. Durable, lasting and looks good. The refrigerator has plenty of interior room and stays very cool. The ice machine works very well. Can hold large numbers of products and plenty of things that you want to store in the fridge. The size and capacity of the refrigerator is very large. The appearance is trendy and stainless steel with water and ice on the outside. The stainless steel is gorgeous and makes the kitchen look very high end. Perceived value is often associated with the more expensive stainless steel refrigerator. It creates a mystique and perception of luxury. Alternatively, they may be the subject of elaborate and expensive quality.

Good usage and great features. Keeps the food well sorted and does its job well. Have gotten a lot of great years out of my last refrigerator and look forward to purchasing my next Kenmore. Well worth the investment.

Approximately Nov 10th of 2013, we noticed an RF error on the readout on our refrigerator and our food inside was all 40*. We had purchased a home warranty when we purchased the house so we called Old Republic and reported the problem. On the 12th a repairman from BJ Appliance Service came out and said he was afraid to do anything because he wasnt sure that it wasnt in the sealed part of the refrigerator which is under a ten year warranty so he would report back to Old Republic. Old Republic set up an appointment with Sears (A&E) Repair for November 19th. Since that time they have returned SEVEN times, replacing various parts each time, oftentimes more than once. Twice the repairman who was sent said that it was probably the fault of the first repairman that was sent. I insisted he did nothing but look at it. They finally agreed to a replacement because the fault was in the sealed part of the refrigerator but it took hours on the phone, seven times waiting for service and almost FOUR MONTHS without a working refrigerator. Twice customer service people told us that because we hadnt bought the warranty it was up to us to replace it. And we were also told by Old Republic that Sears and LG were arguing over who should replace it because it is really an LG product. No wonder Sears is failing - they used to stand behind things that had their name on them. And the warranty on this $2600 refrigerator was almost $400! Kenmore (even though it is LG product) and Sears - never again.

It did the job of keeping the food cold. I liked the design of it. It also has lots of space. The fridge has plenty of adjustability and it has that modern look to it. Its huge. Has plenty of drawers. And the little slots on the side of the door are reasonable. Its a pretty tall fridge itself and it also has an special feature. Has that touch screen pad on the front where you can get ice and water. Also you can adjust the temperature on the pad too. Its worth the cost. You get whats need and you get that pricey look. Plus its black and shiny so its well worth it.

Purchased a Kenmore fridge 2 years ago. Now compressor went up. Waiting for tech to fix it. I will never buy Kenmore again.... I paid less for other refrigerators models and lasted longer than this junk... Not to mention food went bad ugh!!!! There should be a class action lawsuit against this Kenmore product.

Very little maintenance, nice styling, easy to change filter, water and ice was always nice tasting and free of refrigerator odors, fit the style and decor of the kitchen and other appliances nicely. Size was great at first, eventually we got a bigger one as the family grew. Storage area was a lot bigger than it looked and we could fit quite a few items in the fridge and freezer. Nice organization too. Fit the style of the kitchen nicely. The ice and water dispenser were stylish and looked good with the other appliances. The inside was nicely organized and it was nice to have clear shelves. Very happy with the value of Kenmore products. We got a newer, bigger model but stuck with Kenmore. We have a lot of other appliances that are Kenmore and we are very happy with those as well.

Feeling super aggravated at the moment. Bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator from Sears last year. Now not even a year later the bottom freezer has stopped working completely. Ive called for service and it took a month for someone to come out. Then parts had to be ordered. Another month for that wait. The man who came out to put the new part in had no clue what he was doing. When he left he said give it 24hours and it should be working. Nope nothing. So I called in yet another service appointment which was a month away and was set for today. Three oclock rolls around no call. I finally call them and get a live person. Guess what. The guy called in sick and no one bothered to call and yup you guessed it they want to change the service date to August 23 another month. I live in Mississippi and the heat index is currently 108. No joke. I depend on the ice. My freezer once made for my 2 huge bloodhounds and other animals to stay cool. Ive talked to some nice people at Sears today and some not so nice people but at the end of the day Im still left unsatisfied and completely shocked. Sears you disappointed me once with a window AC unit that took 3 months to get replaced in the hottest part of summer. I swore then that Id never be duped again. I decided to give you one more shot and am still left with long irritated calls and no resolution. So to other consumers please just go with another company if you want fast reliable service or appliances that work...

The cold side and freezer side stays cold on minimal settings. The inside shelving was thoughtfully organized to meet everyday needs. This unit is very quiet as well. Its counter depth makes my kitchen look very sleek and even. It allows me to have such a large double door fridge but not have that bulky look that other fridges do. Beautifully crafted and the lighting outside and inside is great. The flush hinges allow the door to open smoothly. The best part is how it blends in with the counters. You get a lot of bang for your buck! The features are immense and the price is relatively low compare to other double door models from other brands. I would definitely recommend.

Kenmore is the best refrigerator that I have ever had! We have never had any issues with it and it is very reliable. Also, I would recommend it because of the amount of storage that you can have for all of your groceries. My family and I have been using Kenmore ever since we switched from our old one.

Bought a Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator for $2200 in January 2014. It stopped cooling in June 2018, the refrigerator is not under warranty but the parts and labor are under warranty. In the last 2 1/2 months I have had 10 appointments to have it repaired. It would work for 4-7 days and then stop cooling again. The last 2 appointments they didnt even show up and said the refrigerator is condemned and cant be fixed. One of the technicians told me the parts are inferior and not expected to last. Today I spent an hour and a half on the phone with customer solutions. After 1.5 hours all Jerry said he could do was to set another appointment for repairs. The ice maker also leaked and the excess ice would have to be cleaned about once a week. I was not satisfied with the product, the service, or the warranty. Not recommended.

The quality of the fridge leaves much to be desired. I admit that I didnt do my research because I was in a rush and just trusted the name. I wasnt aware that LG was the manufacturer of the Kenmore Elite or I would have know to avoid it. The fridge looks great on the outside and at first glance on the inside, however when you open and close the draws they feel as they are about to break. My fridge is 2.5 years old and water was leaking from the bottom. I figured its the copper hose that feeds the unit but discovered the unit itself was leaking. Upon inspection of the internal hoses I can see cracking in multiple areas of the white hose that feeds the water to the ice maker as well as the hose that feeds the water dispenser. My fridge is doing its job at keeping frozen as well as fresh food fresh bit I paid for more features that just dont work. Save your money and avoid this fridge!!

The Kenmore fit perfectly into a space that had been made by previous homeowners and it was an odd size. Finding a fridge that fit was a pain, but the Kenmore worked! It was a pretty traditional and basic looking piece but it seems to go well with everything else in the kitchen. Ours was black and matched our other appliances. Im not a professional in terms of appliance sales but I felt that the price was just right for what we were looking for.

I do not have a Kenmore at this time but have had Kenmores in the past. The washing machines are very reliable. One of the Kenmores I had was a suds saver. I dont believe they make that particular model anymore but the suds saver feature was great because you could recycle the water which always helps save money especially in urban areas where water can cost a lot of money. I did not purchase a Kenmore the last time I bought a washing machine... after my machine of 15 years started to eat my clothes but not because it wasnt a great machine. I just found a much better deal as a friend was moving and had a machine she wanted to sell. Please note: My fridge is a Kenmore!

Bought a fridge from Sears in October online. Said in stock on site. They took the money right away then sent email it was back ordered a month. Finally it arrives and theres a small dent in the side (I didnt want the hassles of sending it back). Then we started noticing the milk spoiling quickly. The ice cream in freezer hard as a rock. I put a thermometer in the fridge and it’s +15 c (good thing no food poisoning) but had to throw out all our food the week before Christmas. Talking with Kenmore’s customer service in Bangladesh or who knows where, is exasperation. Still waiting after 5 days for repairman. Kenmore did say theyd reimburse perished food. Overall pretty shabby.

My mother had a Kenmore and it was a good fridge. I liked the style, the options and the price for the quality fridge I was purchasing. Over time the refrigerator has lived up to my expectations and hopefully will continue to do so! Very quiet running, very spacious and convenient size for the price of the unit. The durability has been wonderful about 21 1/2 years. Quality and value cannot be beat! I didnt purchase ice maker so I would have preferred it to a larger shelf area for ice cube trays. Also have some type of shelving in the freezer. The crisper area for fruits and vegetables could have been made sturdier to support the crisper drawers.

I purchased a Kenmore Coldspot model #105 March 8th of 2014. Last year had a factory water line break and ruin my kitchen floor and drywall in the basement. I filed a claim and received a check for the damages (No problem things happen). Now 1 year and 4 months after purchase (4 months past the expiration date of the warranty) the fridge has stopped cooling. Had to take all of our food to my wifes grandmas house at 10:30 at night. Called the repair service line and they tell me since its out of warranty it will cost me 90 dollars plus whatever parts are needed to get a technician out to the house. OR pay 40 dollars for the extended warranty and then 60 dollars every time a tech has to come out. I feel like a fridge should last AT LEAST 5-10 years right? If Im forced to buy a replacement then I will never buy from Sears again. Im so outraged I can barely think. What can I do?

Model 10673206300 - mom and I purchased this in 2005. Was told by salesman that this should last without problems for 15 to 20 yrs. Explained to clerk that week - really needed something to suit our needs. We are both disabled and live on a fixed income. We purchased the warranty and early on in 2005, the drawers had to be replaced. For the past month the fridge has leaked off and on. We attempted to repair but was unable. Called sears today - they want $75.00 to diagnose and was also told it would probably be $200.00. Or I could sent Sears $39.99 monthly and pay only $60.00 for the diagnosis. I was struck by the fact that the first question asked by automated system is ...is fridge leaking? Lets me know that sears is aware of this defective product. NEVER AGAIN Will I BUY FROM SEARS.

The fridge was powerful and long lasting. It lasted many years with little maintenance. Perhaps because it was an inlet model, it wasnt as energy efficient, but that would be my only criticism.

We trusted the Kenmore name but never again. We purchased our Kenmore Elite refrigerator in February of 2013. On April 28th of 2015, the refrigerator stopped working. Since then, we have had 8 different Sears repairmen at our home and as of May 29, 2015, the refrigerator still isnt working and the 9th repairman is scheduled for June 8, 2015. There have been several calls and chats with representatives that have all ended the same. The representatives refuse to connect you with a supervisor. We have been promised phone calls from someone that could resolve or escalate the issue and that hasnt happened either. They have ordered parts 3 different times and replaced various items and still the appliance doesnt work.We have called the Sears store manager in Cerritos, CA and he promised to take action and call us back...never heard from him again. So far, everyone we have spoken or chatted with at Sears seems to think it is acceptable that someone should spend 3 grand on a refrigerator, have it last barely two years and take over a month to try and repair...They dont care. We will never purchase anything else from Sears or anything with the Kenmore name again. If you are looking for an appliance, I would not consider Sears or anything with the Kenmore name.

After 30 years of faithful service, we decided to replace our old refrigerator mostly because of the energy usage. After a considerable search, we decided to purchase a new Kenmore Refrigerator, Model 795.7943, and treated ourselves to having an ice maker. Fortunately, we purchased an extended warranty. A couple of months after delivery and installation, we started to have problems with the ice maker. The ice cubes were coming out hollow and water was spilling over the side of the fill tube. The service tech came out and told us there was a problem with the ice maker so he ordered a replacement. We went through this process several times with them replacing the ice maker and valves almost each time. One of the service techs said our water pressure was too low, it measured 55 psi. Finally, one of the service techs said that we should get the refrigerator replaced.We contacted the customer service people and they started the process to do that. Then they forgot about us. I called them back and they could not find any records of the replacement process being started. They said we had not had enough service calls to justify a replacement. We went back and forth for a couple of months and I finally gave up. I ended up re-leveling the refrigerator myself and the problem went away.After a year of no problems, it started again. We started to get hollow ice cubes again and the water was pouring over the fill tube. We called for service once again. The person on the phone diagnosed the problem over the phone and told us the problem was the water valve, so she sent one out. The service tech showed up and proceeded to check out the ice maker. He defrosted the inlet tube, put everything back together and left with the new water valve. He told us that as the outside temperature gets colder, we could expect to have the problem come back all winter, because the water pressure is too low. He said it needs to be 75 psi for it to work properly.I reviewed the manual again, and it says that the water pressure must be between 40 and 120 psi. I had contacted the city about the low water pressure, but they said that the 55 psi that we have is all we are going to get. I wonder how many other people get the same runaround from Sears and how they can justify selling an inferior product and do nothing to correct it.

I find the freezer space to be sufficient, runs quietly, energy efficient. Refrigerator space layout is good due to the adjustable shelves. I find the interior space to be more than enough room for my needs. This is mostly due to the fact that I can adjust the shelving to my particular need. While not the most modern look, I find it looks very nice in my kitchen area. My kitchen has a more classic look so I do not feel the need to have the most up-to-date appliances. I feel my refrigerator to be a good value. It serves my needs well without having all the unneeded bells and whistles of more expensive models. Its energy efficiency helps to keep my utility bill lower.

It did all of the things that I needed it to do and it fit in the space that I had. I would have preferred a larger one, but space was limited in my kitchen. I wished I could have had one that had a slightly larger freezer area but they were space constraints.. Otherwise I was completely satisfied. It had a good clean look, of course. I could only choose from either black or white. Again it had to do with the size that I had room for. The value of the refrigerator, freezer was very good for me. I purchased from sears and I was even able to receive a refund for the entire cost of delivery.

I have a Kenmore refrigerator and it is only 3 to 4 yrs old and I keep getting a bad chemical odor once to twice a year. It is so strong that I can taste it in the food that I keep in it and when I open my door I can smell the odor in the kitchen for a bit. Every time I scheduled service on it, the odor wouldnt be as strong and the service guy would tell me its from bad food! Really? Like I dont know what bad food smells like. I still have this problem and dont know how to resolve this.

My refrigerator is working perfectly with no issues. The bonus is having the ice and water filter. Its the best thing this refrigerator could have. The size of that refrigerator is really big. The inside of it is perfect for space to put fresh vegetables and fruits but the freezer could use more space. The appearance of the refrigerator is silver stainless. The brand name is kenmore, it is reliable and it has an elegant color and it is high performance as well. The price is fairly reasonable but wish buying a refrigerator would involve a cash back program. If you are willing to get a new refrigerator between $1000-$1500, you will make the best decision because a brand new one will last for years with no major problems.

Its ok and satisfied with this refrigerator. It works great and has all that I want. Ample storage space for refrigerator and freezing purposes. Also good space on doors for condiments and large sized bottles for beverages and soda. Great exteriors and stainless steel is easy to maintain and easy to clean and polish and keep it up like new and easy to wipe the stains and finger spots. It was not overly expensive and was well within budget, plus we got some incentives with this purchase, so it was a great value when combined with the incentives.

Very efficient and quiet. Runs like a dream and strong performance out of all the refrigerators I have owned. Keep my water cool every time I take a drink. Its the right size for my household. Lots of compartment space, for every food specifically. Adjustable shelving for taller or smaller items. Sleek and shiny. Fingerprints are easy to clean and less likely to show on my refrigerator. Matches other appliances in my household. Value was well worth the price for this product purchase. The purchase was a fine investment for our household and budget friendly. Economical appliance Ive ever owned.

We purchased a Kenmore side by side refrigerator in July of 2016, also purchased their very expensive 3 year warranty, or as they call it, their Master Protection Agreement. During that 3 years we had eight service calls for the icemaker. After the fourth or fifth service call the technician told us that this model has a design flaw, and that it would keep breaking. Well guess what? They were right. Right after the warranty ran out it broke again and this time the service rep said he could not fix it. The design flaw was in the wiring at the bottom of the freezer, at the hinge where the door swings open. They could no longer splice the wiring to fix it! We paid $89.00 for this service call in which they did nothing but tell us it was unfixable!We contact Customer Service and the BBB to file complaints. Sears refused to help us in any way, telling us we were basically out of luck. They also refuse to refund our $89.00 for the NON-service call. The Customer Service Rep who answered the BBB complaint offered to give us a 20% discount on a new refrigerator. Ridiculous! We will never buy another Sears product. A design flaw such as this should be grounds for a Class Action Law Suit.

Purchased a 27 cubic ft. refrigerator July 2013. Installed by Sears and now there is a rust spot and dampness on the enclosed metal back. Its starting to rot. (Discovered when we cleaned behind it) Clearly a manufacturing defect, not enough insulation in the machine and is unrepairable the Sears serviceman reported. Also I have no recourse, didnt buy the expensive post purchase warranty. Given the run around by the people in Customer Solutions. Never buy anything again from Sears. Their products are substandard. It is clearly a manufacturing defect.

It was a good refrigerator. We have used many but this was one of the best ones - we all like it. My husband, my son and all family loved this refrigerator a lot. I think it could be a little better to size so that people in small apartments done have trouble fitting them in their small kitchens so I would not recommend it a lot but performance was really good so we loved it a lot. We liked it but nowadays so many new models and designs are available that people have more to choose from and I guess people will love the latest designs. I wish we had these options then. The refrigerator is a good value for money. Lot of my friends also bought it and they all say that its good. When at my home we all loved it for performance as well as the overall value for money that we got.

I really enjoyed the refrigerator because it kept all my food cold and I never had a malfunction.

We bought a $4k elite 4 years ago, $1k per year and it stopped working. The repair service is pretty much what you read all over the internet. Its a joke the selective 4+ star rating their website shows based on customer complaints. This repair and product services is the biggest joke I have ever experienced. It is not my opinion, its fact they are not customer or priority focused now. Unbelievable. So the requirements to click it is my opinion without a selection that it is my experience and factually horrible service is beyond me.Lost all my freezer and fridge food going on four weeks now with empty promises daily my situation will be addressed. According to others I believe we may just have to repurchase another appliance to replace the ** one we paid hard earned money for several years back. Again this is unbelievable dissatisfaction in a long standing customer. Not sure anything action at this point will erase the sad bad service experience in Sears.

Kept things frozen, must wrap food well otherwise it gets freezer burn like with any freezer. Works well, performs as expected to. Especially spacious for a lot of holding and storage. Is especially important to be spacious and this freezer has a great deal of room for food storage. Great shelving and space for staying and storing all different kinds of foods such as frozen pizza, frozen meals, frozen meats. Good value for the amount of money I had spent on this freezer.

Kenmore is a good trusted product our family has used for many years. It runs very quietly, efficient energy, keeps things cold, but does not freeze food inside the refrigerator part, freezer keeps food frozen well, ice cubes are always ready when needed. We also like the side by side feature, has a water filter system, everything my husband wanted. However, filter needs changing too frequently, wish a longer lasting one could be produced. And the ice dispenser should be larger, as sometimes ice gets frozen into a big block.

I bought a new Kenmore fridge from a Sears store in April of 2013. On Dec.5, 2014 I opened the door to the fridge (which is separate from the freezer handle) and the handle broke off. I then discovered the handle was plastic and a screw had caused the handle to wear away from the attachment. I went to my Sears store and they said they could order a new handle and it would cost me $50 for the handle, $17 for shipping and labor. Since I was a half year over the warranty they were not covered by the company. I made my case with them on-line and on the phone, but they said sorry!!! This was installed wrong and the company obviously knew what a poor quality the handle was. The clerks in the store agreed this handle was a problem for others too. Sears/Kenmore should stand up and admit poor quality and replace the handle free of charge --warranty or no warranty. Now I know why people buy from local merchants who stand behind the brands they sell. Beware of all Sears quality.

The Kenmore refrigerator is very elegant. Its size has attracted a lot of attention. On the outside, it looks very small. However, its design is expandable for more products inside. Also, the price for the refrigerator is very convincing and performance is the best. When it comes to energy consumption, it does not consume much and is put into suspension mode when everything is refrigerated. It is perfect to buy it.

If I can give 0 stars I will and this is my first review of any product ever. Please DONT buy the side-by-side Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Our refrigerator is 4 years old just got out of a 3-yr warranty when it stopped producing ice. We had a $99 Sears technician come over to our home to look at our ice dispenser problem. It didnt have any problem with the water dispenser so we thought its an easy fix. The technicians diagnosis is to replace the whole door which COSTS $1716.50 (parts, tax & labor included). WHAAATTT!! But if I get the Sears home warranty its 50% off. The repair costs more than what we originally paid for it. I just want other consumer to be aware of this product so you dont make the same mistake.

The performance of the refrigerator is outstanding. It is very durable and helps keep things fresh longer. I really enjoy using this product. It helps make my life easier and run smoothly. The size helps me fit all of my food in the fridge. I am very satisfied with the size. When I got the fridge, it was clean and neat. It looked huge when I got it. I love how it looks. It is a valuable asset to have in the house. The value of it now will outlive the fridge itself. I paid a good price for it and think it will last me many good, long years.

It kept my food cold. It never broke. It didnt smell too bad. It was reliable and simple. I could put magnets on it. It was a basic no nonsense fridge. It fit all the items I needed. It was an extra fridge we kept in the basement so it didnt need to hold too much. The freezer had a good amount of room. Space wasnt an issue. I wish it had been sleeker than the white appearance. Stainless steel is always nicer, but the appearance didnt really matter because it was in the basement. It was pretty valuable, did its job and did it well. It was functional and helpful as a product. I valued owning it. It was a good fridge.

Satisfied and very happy with the overall purchase. It has meet my initial expectations by being reliable compared to my last one which had a very short life span and we had to replace it with the Kenmore brand which is doing much better. It is very efficient and works in a way I really like and the price of the refrigerator I had paid for it was a good price as well. The size was the biggest issue for me. I would just make the fridge larger so that I can put more food and store more items in it and have some extra space for other things that I would need to add to it.

Have a 5 1/2 yr. old Kenmore Elite bottom freezer fridge. The unit developed a leak in the cooling system. Of course the warranty is expired (5 yr.). Have been without a working fridge for 6 weeks and counting. Service dept. is terrible. Have been here 6 times. Bought that extended warranty at the time of the first call to Sears to try and offset the repair cost. Have a whole different problem with that. The leak ended up burning up the compressor (which the tech. said wouldnt happen) which lead to another call to service to get the compressor fixed, which ended up being another call to service because the replacement compressor is bad too. Have to wait days and days between appointments, with the last one originally being 13 days until my constant complaining got it lowered to a mere 7 days. Problem has escalated to sears Executive Complaint Dept. which is helping but is too little too late. I will never buy anything that has a Kenmore or Craftsman name on it again. My days of shopping at Sears is also over. Do yourself a favor and avoid Sears and their service dept. at all costs.

Met my want list and was the largest option. It had every feature that I wanted. Plus I prefer to stick with the large brand names that have been around for a long time like Kenmore. Its a trusted brand. I like external, filtered water and ice machine. Also freezer drawer on bottom and double French doors on top. It also has lots of interior refrigerator space. Loved the extra slide outs in the freezer compartment. Loved fridge and would still have it if we hadnt moved and it would have fit in the new house. Wish the stainless exterior was easier to look less smudged. Also cost of filters was way too high.

After buying 5 refrigerators over the past 5 years, we finally got the one we love, is huge, everything works great, and looks good. We cant shop enough to fill this side by side with built in ice maker with water.

As much as we opened and closed the doors on this refrigerator it is a wonder it is still here. My refrigerator has been operating very well with no problems. It is large enough to put milk, eggs and meats in the freezer. It served a great room for all my favorite snacks and many many vegetables I buy on the daily. It is a nice model. A regular Kenmore refrigerator with no problems or issues. The value of the refrigerator seems reasonable to me.

Works pretty well. Keeps food cold mostly in main part and on door. Needs an upgrade though. It is several years old. Upper crisper in fridge part. Experiences problems. Overall a very reliable appliance in the kitchen.

Condensation water keeps leaking from the bottom to floor, causing water damage. After cleaning the whole fridge the leakage issue will appear again in one week. Should have a built in water pan. Horrible design!

I just moved in my new house and I bought a Kenmore from Sears. I love my fridge. Its spacious and easy to clean. :) I would recommend this fridge to my friends and family. My mom just bought one as well and she loves it too.

I chose Kenmore because it is a well known brand and I know some of my family has had a Kenmore refrigerator last for many many years. I liked that it looked great in my kitchen and it went very well with all of the other appliances. It had lots of room for me to store everything I needed in it. It kept all of my food at the correct temperature and kept them fresh. But I would want an alarm on the door if it is left open by accident. It would help ensure that your food was kept at the proper temperature and alarm everyone if there is a problem. Other than that, it lasted so long and had great performance. It definitely met my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a new refrigerator.

This is a great refrigerator. Its size really lets us keep everything we need in it and also, it has an alarm to let you know that the door has been left open.

Ive had no issues with my fridge. It works just as well as it did when we 1st bought it. I always have a full fridge and no matter what item is in there it always stays nice and cold & maintains a great temperature. The freezer never causes freezer burn & always keeps our food frozen and safe. I love the light on the door where the ice cubes come out. Its easy to find in the dark. It produces a steady stream of ice when needed but also provides a nice cold cup of water that tastes amazing. My fridge is the perfect size for smaller kitchens, although it would work just as well in a larger one. We are able to easily store everything that is brought home from the store, plus leftovers, from take out & dinner at home. Its big enough to hold my family of 4s food and beverages for 2-3 weeks. My refrigerator is a sleek dark silver with black handles. It is very current. I love that its not all white or all black. It looks great with the rest of my kitchen equipment. I believe you get what you pay for with regards to almost anything you can buy. That is not the case when it regards my fridge. There are certainly cheaper and more expensive models & I know without a doubt that its a good value when comparing it to other models. They also have a good warranty to back up the quality they claim to have & I have never used it, or needed it. It is nice to know that its there just in case.

People always ask me about this brand and I say all the time just go for it. It has been in the family for decades starting with my grandma, my mother, and of course, myself. The fridge is 5 years old and all the plastic parts of broken by this point, they are very cheaply made. And then they want $70 for a new crisper drawer? Really? But you are stuck. Someone should look into a class action suit.

It does what its supposed to and has been working for many years. I have had few difficulties to it other than the fact the inside trays have broken however, it is still usable. The fridge has plenty enough room for our needs. Rarely do we run out of room in the fridge. The freezer however is not big enough for the food that we store. Its nothing special, just a white fridge that is useful. Nothing more, nothing less of its intended use. I guess it is a nice size but other than that its just a fridge. The value of the fridge is great because we have had it for years now and there hasnt been a major technical problem other than the interior is breaking.

I like the size of the shelves, the deep-set bins for produce and the overall quality of the refrigerator. However, the depth size is a little larger than my counters so it sticks out and I would prefer it be even with my counterspace. Other than the size of the Kenmore refrigerators offered, their quality is top-notch. Ive purchased Kenmore products since Ive been married. My first home came with Kenmore appliances and I never had a problem so when we purchased our second home I decided to use Kenmore appliances. It is a reliable product.

I compared other styles of fridges before purchasing this one and the price was very good for the wonderful performance I receive from this product. The Fridge works very well and is quiet. Keeps the food cold in the fridge and the freezer keeps the food solid. This size fridge is also great for a family of two. It fits nice in the area that a fridge needs to fit and holds two to three weeks of grocery for my family. The color of the fridge goes well with all my other kitchen appliances too. The French doors are very easy to clean and does not show any fingerprints. Overall, a great quality appliance.

We shopped around and considering the price, warranty, and features the fridge met our family needs and expectations for the needs of cooking and storing food. The fridge was reliable, energy efficient and it worked for a long time not needing repairs. We like the ease of cleaning on outside and wipe down and maintaining. The most difficult part of cleaning is usually the inside but this one was fine. But it could have a better ice maker. We have historically had good experiences with the Sears brand of appliances, but sometimes the ice clogged up and didnt dispense as it should needing some manual fixing.

We decided to buy a house, however the house we chose did not have a refrigerator, so we had to buy one. After looking at some different options, we decided to go with Kenmore, because of the reliability of the brand. When deciding on a large purchase you want to make sure you choose quality right away. You dont want to go with an unknown brand because it might look nicer and less expensive. You want something that you know will last and stand up to the test of time. You want a brand name that is trusted and has been for many years. It meets expectations, and gives you just what you need.We really liked that Kenmore kept things cool, but not too cold, and the brightness of the lights inside was great. The way the refrigerator is set up is okay, but with the amount of people coming in and out of our house all the time, it really wasnt convenient for us. We needed more freezer space and we found that this model didnt really work for us. But we were happy with other features, so we just bought a separate freezer to meet our needs.

My Kenmore refrigerator works fine and Ive had it for years (7) so far. No problem with either cooling or freezing. My indoor water and ice maker work really well. They stand up to a lot of hard use. Kids, friends, husband, and me all use it. It had been durable. Easy to change the filters also. Im happy with the fridge. We also got a really good deal on it as Sears had a sale. The refrigerator works pretty well. It had a nice temperature - not freezing, not melting. Much better than my last fridge - never seemed to work. This fridge was a challenge to get into the house but is quite small once past the doorway. I would suggest finding a nice corner for the fridge of this size. The metallic look fits in with my kitchen theme. I love the modern feel, and this refrigerator is right for me! I would suggest having a black countertops... It looked nice in my house. The cost was not ridiculously high because of the good quality, however, it could be a little bit cheaper to purchase. It was worth the money spent on it.

Im very happy with the Kenmore refrigerator. I have owned it for many years and its great on performance, its energy efficient, and it keeps food very fresh and cold. It is standard size and quite roomy on the inside, but if you are like me, you always need that extra bit of space and I wish it was just a tad larger, so I will step up next time. Its quite nice-looking for an average refrigerator, but does not have all the bells and whistles of newer, fancier models, like the chrome finish and water attachment in front. Its a very good value and as good in comparison to newer, more stylish models.

I purchased a small Kenmore chest freezer. After about a year, I received a notice that the freezer used more electricity than advertised, so a rebate was available. Just yesterday I discovered that, though the green power light was on, the freezer had stopped working and the contents were a fetid mess. I lost hundreds of $$$ in meat, primarily, and lost hours of time cleaning up the mess and determining how to dispose of the contents of the freezer and the freezer itself. Just a total rip-off. Dont waste your money and time.

We never had any problems with the performance of the refrigerator. It always kept things at the right temperature. The ice maker worked great with no problems. The shelves were sturdy and easy to clean. It was more than able to fit everything we needed. The freezer looked like it would be small from the outside, but it had plenty of storage space. The fridge was huge and had plenty of shelf and door space. We had the white color refrigerator. It would have looked sleeker in stainless steel. It doesnt look as nice as a side by side freezer/fridge, but its a refrigerator and not a decoration. The utility of the fridge made up for the appearance. The refrigerator was not cheap, but it also wasnt top of the line. I feel it was worth the money we paid for it. We never had to do any repairs or maintenance. If you buy cheaper appliances, you end up paying more in repairs. So this fridge was worth the slightly higher price.

Work wonderfully, would recommend this fridge to every single person I know, all my realities, the whole universe. This is the best, I tell, the best. It is a great size. It could use a bigger freezer, that would be my only complaint. I cannot fit enough in the freezer, always running out of room. It looks pretty good but hard to keep clean from fingerprints. It would be nice if they werent so expensive.

Our 16 month old refrigerator has been down for over a month. Sears does not stand behind its products. It does not stand behind it parts guarantee. Sears does not care about customer satisfaction or inconvenience. Its help desk of of no value. The parts we need are made by LG for Kenmore and have been out of stock since at least 6 July. Our most recent possible date to repair is 8 August if the parts happen to be delivered. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed in Sears -- if it did care we would have expected Sears to have offered a loaner for our 3000 dollar investment.

It does what you hope for from a refrigerator. I have yet to require any service for it. Maintains the temperature on both the freezer and fridge side with no typical fluctuations or opening to be surprised by suddenly freezer burnt items. A very reliable appliance. Fits in any standard space in I would assume most kitchens. No difficulty in installing and no need to compensate for its size in order to install. Was easily maneuvered with a dolly and I was able to do the entire install on my own. My model is black and I prefer that overall as it doesnt throw off most if not all kitchens decor for those who enjoy a flow to their rooms. I find that black melds well with even the most diverse of kitchen designs and cabinetry. As Ive said before this model is incredibly affordable and does all the basic things you need it to do. Reliable and smoothly built, this is a treat. Well rounded item by all definitions.

It constantly had issues and was cheaply put together. The doors had to be duct taped together because the cheap plastic pieces constantly broke and they were way overpriced to buy new just to have them break a couple months later. I had to replace the heater thing in the freezer within the first few years and then not too long after that the dial that controlled the temps.

Plenty of storage, never had any problems, also very easy to clean and it is also energy efficiency. Easy to move to clean behind, easy water and ice hook up with filter. Easy slide out drawers and easy open fridge and freezer doors. The fridge side is big enough to fit $120 worth of groceries and the freezer is big enough for storage of ice cream and plenty of steaks, drawers are a decent size for your vegetables and still have room for a case of beer. The appearance is very modern and will go with any kitchen style and it is also easy to keep clean. You or your family and friends will tell you its a very good looking fridge. All refrigerators are little pricey but with the looks and quality of this fridge you dont mind spending the amount you will, so if you are looking for a new fridge you will have no issues with the cost.

Cleanest clothes ever. The wash was quiet and efficient. I wanted to wash my clothes all day. Could hold any size load and get it as clean as the smallest size. Detergents worked well and there was no residue. Its honestly the most amazing appliance I have besides my refrigerator. Its used almost everyday and Ive had no issues. Its been almost three years since weve had it and its as reliable as its been the first day. It fits with any interior decor, really. The stainless steel is timeless and modern. Easy to clean (if there were any spots), and easy to clean on the inside as well. The technology looks advanced. Youre really getting the bang for your buck here. The only washer Id recommend and the price is amazing. Especially where you purchase it, the retailer could have a deal to make it even more sweet.

No problem at all after years of working great. The one problem is the shelves have broke (one 2 glass shelves). It is very easy to clean both the inside and out. I wish that it was a little bigger in the inside. But other than that I can say I am happy with the purchase of the Kenmore. I love the outside. It does not show fingerprints at all, and always looks great and clean. That is all I have to say about the Kenmore. I think it is a great value for the Kenmore, and it is very friendly for your electrical power bill. We purchased it because it is something that runs all the time.

I have always own Kenmore refrigerator and love them. They last a long time. We go to the scratch and dent Sears and have never had a problem. The only problem is the water does not come fast out of the water dispenser. We have replace the ice maker and it was not hard to do.

This is the best fridge that I have owned. Ive had 0 issues in the couple of years of owning it. Side by side is an excellent addition to my home. The freezer portion is a little small for my needs, but I make do. I bulk freeze a lot of items. The fridge side is perfect and has enough options for adjustability to fit everything I need for a family. I love the stainless steel appearance. It holds up well to abuse. The brushed looks helps hide minor scratches. The only issue I have is keeping fingerprints off the stainless steel. I am very pleased with the value of this fridge. The size vs the value was just right for my family of four. The added value of the water dispenser is a great addition.

I remember being a kid and my parents had a Kenmore fridge that was solid as a rock. Sears was the epitome of top notch service for their appliances and tools. Sad to say, no more... My Kenmore fridge has broken several times. One time, under warranty, their c/s center was having me to troubleshooting and repair it myself over the phone. Seriously? It has had several problems and I am not happy with it. The ice maker constantly gets stuck. Now, a small plastic piece (# 1 on attached diagram) broke off and they say that part is not serviceable. They want me to REPLACE THE ENTIRE DOOR for $ 750.00 and the old door can end up in a landfill on account of a piece of plastic that they cant or wont sell. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with Sears, Kenmore and their overall service strategy. Never again will I step foot in one of their stores.

It runs smoothly. Prepared, spacious inside but sleek exterior ice cold water. Doesnt over freeze - regulation controls easily used. Do not get how no freezer burn on any food. Ice cold meat cookable out of the freezer. Overall nice and quiet engine.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator 18 months ago based on Kenmores past history of consumer confidence and quality products. When one spends over $2000 on a refrigerator, the fair and reasonable expectation would be that the refrigerator would last more than 18 months. The refrigerator has already failed after 18 months of use and I am being told that they need to send a service tech to diagnosis. The refrigerator has a new technology with WiFi so I was informed from the get go they could diagnose the problem from remote. When called, they said they could not do that and would have to send a repair technician. I asked them to waive the fee since I had already paid for WiFi service and was told flatly no after at least 8 phone calls to different people in different departments. Not only do they have to send a tech to now diagnose the problem and I pay for the service call, the motor or whatever is no longer covered because its past a year old, and they will only cover the compressor. I am disgusted with the quality of this Kenmore product and will be writing a letter to corporate. Their solution is for me to purchase an extended warranty at $40 per month. Thats $600 per year. Its become crystal clear to me why the once venerable Sears and Roebuck Company is closing stores all around the nation and is rumored to be on the verge of bankruptcy.

I absolutely HATE our fridge. It is impossible to clean because Kenmore uses cheap coated metal and calls it stainless steel. It is NOT! And if you get a scratch in it, youre screwed, unlike genuine stainless where you can buff it out with a kit. I know this to be true because the other stainless steel appliances we have in our kitchen are a breeze to clean. Unless you have nothing better to do with half your day, you do not want to waste it trying to clean this behemoth!

Although it was a previous purchase, the Kenmore refrigerator that we had for quite a few years was well built, dependable, and lasted the household for more than ten years. I regret that we did not return to Sears in order to purchase another Kenmore brand refrigerator when the existing one finally broke down to where it was not repairable. The replacement has not been of the same quality as the old Kenmore was.

I have a Kenmore Refrigerator (model 253.6000), purchased 11 months ago by my husband for our garage. It has quit working twice, thawing all of the food in the freezer. There is no garage kit for this model and no information in the owners manual that informs the consumer that the unit will stop working in the summer and winter during extreme temperatures. I have been informed that it was manufactured by Frigidaire.

The Kenmore refrigerator had the features I wanted and was a good price at the time I was looking. It was at a Sears which was convenient and I trusted their brands. The refrigerator was reliable and lasted over 25 years without any problems. It was worth the price I paid.

Its a nice basic looking fridge/freezer combination. I dont like a big fancy fridge and I dont need a fancy ice maker and filtered water spout. I can make my own ice cubes. Im a basic person. I like the color white because it is easy to tell when it gets dirty and needs a good wipe down. I love how it has enough space on the door shelves to fit milk and juice etc. The fresh drawers are plenty big to fit a head of lettuce and other produce too and the freezer is the perfect size for what I need to store. Also, always keeps food the right temperature and the price was perfect for people or families on a budget.

Ive owned this refrigerator for 10 years and its always performed perfectly. The food stays fresh without getting dried out and its easy to clean. All the food I need for a family of 4 fits easily and I especially like how I can put a gallon of milk on the door. Sometimes I wish for a bigger freezer, but my kitchen would not accommodate it. Its a pretty standard-looking refrigerator and would not stand out in a crowd. But it matches the look of my kitchen and I am more interested in how it works than how it looks. This refrigerator was one of the least expensive we found while we were shopping but its a great performer. It had the extras we wanted without all of the bells and whistles and was a great price.

This refrigerator was very spacious and had 3 drawers and adjustable shelves. The drawers were big and the freezer compartment was very big also. This refrigerator was very easy to keep clean just by wiping it off. The shelves and drawers were removable and also easy to clean. It also matched my kitchen very nicely. This refrigerator was a great deal. I bought it from Sears and was able to finance it and had it paid off in 12 months. I looked at several different places and at different refrigerators and this was a great deal.

Our 4 and 1/2 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator quit working on June 7, 2018. I called Sears and they said they could not get to our house to service it until 6/13. I had no choice but to wait. When the technician got here, he said it was the compressor. Even though the refrigerator was a Kenmore, he said it was built by LG, and they are notorious for bad compressors. He told me there were all kinds of lawsuits against them because the parts are bad, and it takes a long time to get them. Sears also does not have enough techs, so the customer has to wait weeks to get their product fixed. He put in a brand new compressor, and it did not work. He got another one out of his truck, installed it, and it didnt work either. He said another one would have to be ordered and delivered to my house, and he could be back 6/20, the next available date, to install it. Today, I get an email from Sears telling me they are trying to confirm that we had received the part, which we did on Fri, 6/15. When I called them, they informed me that another part had to be ordered, but would not be delivered until 6/20, before the end of the day, and that our service appt would have to be rescheduled for 6/26, meaning that we were going to have to go another week without a working refrigerator! This is the first I have heard about this other part, and no one could tell me why or what it was for. I talked to several people, all in the Philippines, and they were no help and did not care. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food that has gone bad, and have spent hundreds more having to eat out. These people are not helping or taking care of this customer, and we have no choice but to take it. What is the recourse for the consumer? We spent $3200 on this refrigerator, that was supposed to be top of the line. Now, it has quit working and they cant seem to fix it after only 4 1/2 years! Consumers should not be treated this way. HELP!!!

My wife and I purchased a $2k Kenmore Elite fridge 4-1/2 years ago with all reviews at the time as 4.5 to 5 stars. The fridge quit working a couple of weeks ago so we called Sears and they could not send a tech out for over a week. Then they tried to sell an extended warranty for $50/Month + service call. I then called a local repair guy that came out to inform me that the compressor died. Kenmore are apparently famous for this, and the fridge is made by LG which is also a Samsung. Not going to spend a thousand dollars to fix when it is only good for another year or two. Not being brand loyal, the repair person told us which brands are good and which ones to avoid. He has been banned from writing reviews and his reviews get removed. He also informed us that said brands spend 80% of the costs on marketing and 20% on the product. Knowledge is power, talk to somebody local that is not brand loyal when you purchase something of any significant cost associated with it.

The Kenmore fridge has worked steadily with no problem for 4 years now. It keeps food as cool as it needs to in an even fashion unlike some fridges which are colder in some spots. Nice and roomy enough to hold everything we need it to. Runs quietly. It has side by side doors. Kenmore had it reasonably priced and has been worth it. Bought it and it was delivered the next day.

It was over 15 years ago when I had a Kenmore refrigerator but it met my expectations. It was good, reliable and easy. It was also quality at a reasonable price and the store was a good location; Kenmore is sold by Sears at that time.

My Kenmore fridge freezes up because of a part on the drain hose that needs to be cut to let the water go to the drain pan. On My Sears Community sears says to replace with a revised part. The part is a duckbill & they have a new & improved one to correct the problem Part # W10309238. Sears or Kenmore should repair no charge.

So far my refrigerator has been very reliable. It keeps my food cold and frozen and fresh. I have never had an issue. The only thing I would not buy is a side by side. The freezer is just not big enough for a family size. If single then would be great. My next purchase will be another Kenmore but freezer on bottom to have more space.

It has a lot of space for me to put a lot of food, especially if you have a family and it could be organized easily. It is stainless steel, which is what I prefer and enough ice to make a lot of cold drinks during the summer. One of the reasons I got this fridge was because of the size. I have a little boy and he is kinda picky eater, so I needed a rather large fridge to put a variety of food. It looks amazing. When my mom in law comes in she would say the fridge must be very expensive because of the look, but it was not that bad. It was not that expensive when I got it during the holiday season and I really think my decision to get it was a very good one and it is gonna be used for a long time.

I had good sales experience with Kenmore. It has good quality and lasts longer than most brands. It is also a good brand to help save on electricity and keep food fresher longer. There is a variety of fridges to choose from, big or smaller styles, and parts are easy to get and is an American-made product. They have great prices and don’t have to replace less than five years. I like that it is big and has lots of storage. It has three drawers and keeps things cold long. Food stays fresh longer. It has a big freezer and I like the white one the best. But I would make more colors to choose and have a ice maker on more models. I also would like to see more drawers in the fridge and the light could stay on longer. It needs a temperature control you don’t have to control so food doesn’t freeze at all and a little more space in the freezer.

Water and ice dispenser works great and is energy efficient. I would definitely suggest this refrigerator to anybody. I have been very pleased with it since day one. I love this unit but I do wish that it was a little bit bigger. It has plenty of space but when you have kids more is better. All in all the size is very suitable for my needs. I love the look of this unit but I do have trouble keeping it clean and clearing fingerprints due to it being stainless steel. This can be a job when you have children though. The cost of this unit is extremely low when thinking about performance and functionality. I have had many refrigerator and I have always had issues with all of them except this one.

Sears Kenmore Elite Refrigerator is junk. Weve had our fridge for 5 years and have had repairman out 4 times. Always a hassle and never can diagnose and fix it in one or even two visits. We are done with Sears. Never again.

Purchased a Kenmore Elite 7957205.110 in March of 2012. 13 months after purchasing, received an error 15 - cost over $500 to repair. Tech explained that the CPU wasnt designed properly to maintain the proper fan speed and that the new card would correct that flaw. Now only 20 months later, Im having the same issues. The KitchenAid fridge it replaced worked for 12 years without a problem. Im not investing anymore money into the crap. Time to replace it. No more Kenmore/LG appliances for me.

Weve never had a problem with this refrigerator. Keeps temperature very well and temperature is consistent throughout the main compartment. Energy efficient. Works well for our family of four. Easy to manage bulkier items like pizza boxes, milk jugs, soda bottles, etc. Freezer compartment is generous but poorly organized. Like the stainless finish, but does collect streaks and spots from a house with children. Somewhat boring profile, nothing of note just blends in to overall kitchen. Did some comparison shopping and we got a great deal by waiting for special offer. Because of efficiency I am confident the cost of ownership is also low.

Ive had my Kenmore refrigerator for over 15 years and Ive never had one issue. It is very efficient in keeping all my food and beverages cold. It also has two crispers, one humidity controlled to keep all of my fruit and vegetable fresh. And I love the top drawer to keep my deli meats and cheeses.
